We are going to be talking with the latest player voted out of the house. He went up on the block with the diamond power of Vito and had the ultimate backdoor as Kamu came out of the house.

[00:02:54] We talked about it last night. Great podcast with Captain Will on RHAP. Taran is going to be doing a live feed update about everything at noon Eastern today. But first, let's bring in our interview with Kamu. Hey, Kamu. What's going on? It's Rob and Taryn for RHAP. This is a big surprise for us, and I'm sure for you, that you're here this week.

[00:03:19] It looked like that you really had pulled things back together after everything with the red corner fell apart. Can you talk from your position and your opinion? Why did things fall apart with the Vets? Yeah, well, first of all, it's great to be here. I think that Rob has a podcast. It's such an awesome name for a podcast. Coming up with names for podcasts is so difficult, and so just Rob has a podcast. Beautiful. Thank you.

[00:03:46] Yeah, but as far as being here, yeah, man, I mean, who would have thought, right, like at least any of us in the house, that there would be a diamond power of Vito at play? You know, so I did everything that I could, man, with the information that I had to protect myself in the house, to make the moves that I felt I needed to make in the house to try to set myself up in a good position. You know, everything was going smoothly during the week.

[00:04:14] Had Devin's not had that diamond power of Vito, I think there's a really good chance that Dee would have went home. I have heard now from several people that I've interviewed with that Dee won HOH last night. Obviously, if she went home, that wouldn't have happened. And so things were going really well, man. I was one of two people who hadn't touched the block yet, along with Devin's. And, you know, but Devin's had the power, and he used it well. I think putting me up on the block was the right move for him.

[00:04:42] I definitely wanted to turn the game on its head and start to target the icons. And so I think him taking me out when he did was the right play. I think it was the wrong play for the rookies. I think that the rookies are now, unfortunately, going to start getting picked apart, you know, or picked off one by one. But the icons, they're setting themselves up really nicely in the house. Yeah, talk to me about the decision with the nominations this week, because obviously you did have some influence over Yash.

[00:05:09] And he did originally just want to do Dee, Angela, and Haley. But obviously, you know, if you're going to gun for the icons, you could have also just put up Devin's, right, instead of Haley. And then Yash also had the veto and also still could have used it on Haley and put up maybe Devin's, maybe Barrett, especially considering he might have had the power. Is that something that you were thinking about at the time? Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I'm not sure. Obviously, I haven't watched anything back.

[00:05:38] So I'm not sure what they showed. But we definitely had a meeting in the HOH room, Yash and I, where we talked about possibly, I think Taylor might have been there as well. And we talked about, hey, what if we use the veto and we put up Barrett, who's sitting real pretty in the house, or we possibly put up, you know, maybe Devin's, who we don't know if we can really trust, who's been moving real weird in the house over the last few weeks. So it definitely was something that was talked about.

[00:06:05] But ultimately, we just gave Devin's a little bit too much. We just trusted him a little bit too much. You know, we found ourselves in a three-person alliance. It was Yash, myself, and Devin's. We called ourselves the Bermuda Triangle. We, you know, we were in the primaries with Devin's as well. We're also in the Wolf Pack with Devin's. So those were three alliances that Yash and I were in with Devin's. And we didn't expect him to really take a shot like this so soon. But he did, you know, and props to him.

[00:06:35] And he's a great game player. In my opinion, I think he's the most dangerous guy in the house. And I just don't know if he's really on people's radar and if he's somebody that people are really going to try to gun for. But I think they should or they're going to be in trouble. So after these last two weeks where Haley has been on the block, somehow she's still there. You had such an interesting ride with her throughout the season. What do you think about her chances moving forward?

[00:07:04] I would love to see her make it far. I would love to see Yash, Taylor, Haley, Lala make it far. You know, Lala was somebody who really came through for me when she was HOH. Um, but especially with Devin being HOH, I think there's a good chance that all four of them go up. Uh, you know, any, any of the four and maybe even all four if one of them ends up pulling themselves off with the veto. So unfortunately, I don't think that they're in a good position right now, especially Yash.

[00:07:31] Yash is the only person who has completed the trifecta. He's a blockbuster HOH and veto winner. Um, and Yash was the dude that I was closest with in the house and they just took me out. You know, everybody knows that, that, that we were trying to take out D. D is HOH now. I think it's almost a guarantee that he goes up. And if he doesn't win veto or blockbuster, I could see him being sent home right after me, unfortunately. But I, I, I hope that he, I want to see him win the game, but I'm just, you know, just with the way things are going right now,

[00:07:59] he would have to make some big moves to, uh, to stay. Tell me about the, the tea party, because this was, I think, uh, an inflection point for you in the game. It definitely had, I think some mixed reactions from the players. Uh, there were a lot of fans as well, that felt like it had gone a little too far. Um, what was the idea behind it? Like, what were you trying to get out of going after Jason in that way? Yeah. So the first thing I want to say about that is on a personal level,

[00:08:29] I love Jason. Uh, like I really, he and I had great conversations. I thought about forming an alliance with Jason early on in the game, but for like the first two weeks, he and I were tight. We were close. Um, everything was cool. And then what happened was Jason started throwing my name out. Um, he threw my name out when Devin's blew up the house during the nomination ceremony. That was when he first threw my name out. And I asked him afterwards, I said, Hey man, are we good? And he was like, I don't know. And I asked him if he wanted to talk. And he said, no. So I was like, okay.

[00:08:57] And at that point I hadn't done anything, anything at all to, to attack Jason's game in any sort of way. The next day he came and apologized to me and it was water under the bridge. And then I became HOH. And while I was HOH, he started throwing my name out again. And several people started coming over to me. And this is, this is before the replacement knob. This was before the veto was, was used. Um, and several people, Hey man, Jason's throwing your name out. He's saying that, you know, he wants, he wants to target you and put you Haley and Chuck up on the block.

[00:09:25] And then he would tell a different group, something totally different. And so at that point I thought about having a conversation with him privately, but I didn't think that I'd get anywhere. I'm like, he's just going to lie to me. He's lying to everybody. And so I thought the only way that I can really get the truth, or at least I'm going to try to get the truth is to get everything out in the open where people can compare what he's saying openly to what he was saying with them privately. Because I knew if I put him up as a replacement, he's a great competitor and there's a chance that he wins the blockbuster and stays in the house.

[00:09:53] And what I didn't want was I didn't want there to be an army of people gunning after me with him based off of lies about me that he was spreading to them. And so it was just an opportunity for me to try to get the truth out in the open and to also be able to defend myself to everybody in the house as well. If he were to accuse me and say things about me that he was saying to other people. So, you know, I understand that it may have gotten mixed reactions and I get that, but it was never anything personal. I hope that I see Jason finale night. I hope that we shake hands. I hope that we can hug. I hope that we can be friends.

[00:10:23] I have nothing but love and respect for him. It was a strict, strictly a game move at that time because he kept throwing my name out. I wanted to kind of clear the air and let everybody know like, hey, if there are any issues with me, feel free to say it now openly with Jason here as well. But on a personal level, it's all, it's all love and respect. I'd love to know a little bit more about your relationship with Drew. I know that you two had the handyman and it was, it seemed like, okay, this is a final

[00:10:48] two, but then also it seemed like that there was kind of like maybe a frenemy relationship also there in different, at different points in terms of you not really trusting him very much, but never really anything publicly. How did you end up feeling about Drew? Drew? Yeah. You know what? It really started when I was HOH, man, like Drew, he just became so shifty. He was all over the place. He would be talking to me and a group of people and then you'd see him whispering with another

[00:11:18] group of people and then whispering with a different group of people. And so you just started to feel like, man, I don't know if I can trust this guy. I feel like he's telling these other groups everything that we're talking about now. But I kind of attributed a lot of his personality, his, his, his energy. I kind of just attributed that to him being young. And so I just was like, man, I don't, I don't really trust him too much, but I think that he and I have a good relationship in a sense where it's like, I don't think he's coming

[00:11:45] after me, but I don't really want to share a ton of information with him either. And then it kind of seemed like he learned his lesson and started to tighten things up. And then he would go back to being energetic and being all over the place. So when Yash was HOH, he and I had a conversation in the room where we're like, dude, we just don't know if we can trust Drew, but we kind of had to because we were trying to rally the troops and get votes in case I didn't win the blockbuster. So yeah, man, for the last few weeks, I felt real, you know, uneasy about Drew. All right. Yeah.

[00:12:15] I mean, it's, it, uh, it really, it started with Angela who did not trust Drew and it spread to D and then Devin's and then kind of to the red corner. And they went after Drew pretty hard. And then I think it was that situation where like, because then everyone turned on Drew, they were like, actually, maybe we don't need to go after Drew, which of course led to the vote flip back, which was melody and lyric. And then they stupidly did not tell you about it when you would have been. Dude. I, yeah, I would have, I would have been.

[00:12:43] And that was the most confusing part about the whole thing is like, I would have been down to, I was down to vote. However. Um, but yeah, I mean the whole reason why drew even went up on the block, that was the week after my HOH, that was obviously when Haley was HOH, um, was because of how all over the place he was and nobody really felt like, you know, we, we could trust him. And of course I got to watch this back. Maybe, maybe there are, I'm sure, I'm sure there are a lot of things behind the scenes that I am unaware of, you know, that, that went down. But at the time with the information that was given to me that I had available, it just

[00:13:13] seemed like he was just a wild card and just couldn't really be trusted. Um, even, even with me when I was HOH and then again with Haley, it was just, you know, drew drew is a big personality and he's, he's a lot, but, uh, but on a human level, dude, like I love, I love drew too. Like I said, on a human level that I really like everybody. I'm looking forward to being friends with, with, with everybody, but in the game, drew was a lot to keep up with. Okay. And then Kamu last night, you put out a pitch to your future wife.

[00:13:43] Uh, if she's out there, send the DM to coconuts. Uh, how eager are you to get your phone back now? Yeah, I, I'm, you know, I'm, I'm very curious. I want to get my phone. I want to call my family. You know, I want to talk to my family. Uh, but I am very curious what my, what my DMS are going to look like. And, uh, you know, how many, how many coconuts we'll have in there. But you know what I do? Like, here's the thing with the final speech at the end, everybody knows how they're voting. Yeah.

[00:14:10] There was nothing that I could have said that I didn't say already when I was campaigning to change anybody's minds. Like if their minds weren't made up, I mean, like if their minds weren't made up already, there was nothing new that I could have said to really help change their mind. They knew how they were voting. So I just wanted to have some fun, you know, in that, in that final moment when I was giving my speech and have some fun with Julian, you know, that's all that was. We'll see what happens with the DMS, but yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right.

[00:14:32] Well, Kamu, you did have a great attitude about all of, uh, you know, the, the many different twists and turns that got thrown your way. So that really is a commendable.
