BB28 Sunday Night Ep Recap of the Recap, September 27, 2026
Also available on YouTube.
Big Brother 28 hits its last stretch with the final three competing for their spot in the finale as tensions boil over in the jury house. Mike Bloom and Chappell break down the recap of recap episode, looking at the house energy, jury fireworks, and what could tip the scales in the gameβs closing days.
This episode explores the unique structure of this seasonβs recap, where the final three houseguests, Taylor, Drew, and Devens, lay out their cases as potential finalists. Mike and Chappell talk strategy, game edits, and how much jury perception matters after last seasonβs winner, Ashley, was accused of an invisible edit. The hosts highlight the big moments the edit did catch, including Drewβs βhome aloneβ antics and the infamous Mallory Airlines skit. Social dynamics take center stage as Melodyβs arrival at the jury house sparks an explosive fight with Angela and LaTrice, raising questions about personal and game-based grievances in the final voting. Mike and Chappell debate if the recap episode should lean more into strategy breakdowns or keep the focus on classic jury drama and house shenanigans.
- Mike notes that presenting each finalistβs pitch helps address complaints about last seasonβs winner, Ashley.
- Chappell points out that much jury drama, including Melody and Angelaβs blow-up, is more compelling than week-by-week summary.
- The hosts debate whether βfloatersβ and βcoastersβ still accurately describe Taylor and Melodyβs games.
- The segment featuring Joshβs quirky βYashismsβ and talk of messy habits brings levity, as does the recurring βMallory Airlinesβ bit.
With alliances tested and the jury house divided, will Taylor, Drew, or Devens make the final move to secure the win and did the edit leave out anything that will change how the jury votes? Listen in for the full episode breakdown and predictions ahead of finale night.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_05] Hello, everybody. Mike Bloom here bringing you RHAP's coverage of the penultimate episode of Big Brother 28 robs away.
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_05] Terran's MIA. They fell asleep watching the VMAs, but I am over the moon, man, talking about the recap episode because you know the recap episode comes about. There's a timely tradition, much like in honor of the time trip theme when it comes to Big Brother coverage on RHAP, the recap of the recap. And I am thrilled to be joined by this person because, listen, we're going to be trying to figure out things to talk about from this past hour and change.
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_05] And this is a man I could literally listen to read the phone book if that were still a thing. We saw the games of the final three, but there's just two of us tonight, but we talk as much as three people do, Chappelle.
[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_07] It's chap time. You know, I'm here. I'm here to help. Rob is gone. Terran is gone. But Mike, you and I, who else? Who else to talk about the shenanigans of the season? The recap of the recap, the most nonsensical episode of Big Brother we get every year. They brought in the big dogs. They brought in the big guns. It's us. We're going to handle this. It's all OK, y'all. Y'all stayed up late for this and we're going to make it worth it.
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_05] Yes. Congratulations to everybody who is nearly burning the midnight oil on the East Coast. You know, as much and as grueling as part one of that final three HOH looks, I think the true endurance test for some of us was watching about 45 minutes of the VMAs rolled through as we expectedly kind of sat there being like. It's almost like watching the feeds during like a veto competition, right? Like they'll come back up at some point. Right. What's Jeff Probst doing there?
[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_05] OK, this George Michael tribute is nice, but we'll eventually see this. Right. We want to see Angela and Melody get into it. And then, you know, finally, 1015 rolls around and we were set.
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, this was our own pressure cooker. You know, we had to stick it out. I don't know if everybody has that type of endurance, but look at us. We made it. And I'm definitely looking forward to seeing like, you know, what everybody else's reaction is to, you know, making it through the VMAs. Because I think to me, that was definitely the highlight of the night, low light of the night, whatever you want to call it. We got through it and then we got some things that we've seen, some things we haven't seen. And we got some new kind of segments to the recap of the recap.
[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_07] We got some final three speeches, basically. When did that happen?
[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. I mean, this year, I believe, at least as far as I can remember, it certainly was not the time. This is definitely the the scrapple of the breakfast meat in terms of episodes where it's just this thing here. I got this thing here. Sure. I can, you know, stretch my budget and be able to cobble an hour together. But yeah, here we sort of got each of the final three discussing how they would present their games, assumingly in a final two situation, which is exciting.
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_05] I don't know if it's completely coincidental or not, but of course, there was a lot of discourse for better or for worse in the aftermath of last year when Ashley won where people were saying, like, we didn't see her game. And there's a lot of talk even from fans of Ashley of, well, the edit didn't really present that. And so I do actually think overall, you know, Chappelle, I was going to come in here and ask like, oh, what was one thing that was on the live feeds that they they missed out on? You know, what was left on the cutting room floor? But honestly, there really isn't anything.
[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_05] My number one desire going into this was Mallory Airlines. And we got that. And then we get, you know, the bonus clips of the jorts in the black tank top of Drew home alone to hot boxing his HOH bathroom with everyone in there. And the episodes themselves brought a lot out as well. So it kind of gave themselves a lot of time to be able to have these final three vocalize their games, even though one of them is going to not.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_05] I think it does a good job of at least from their own eyes setting up how they saw the past 80 plus days of the game.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. A lot of people online have been talking about how we didn't need these extra episodes. We didn't need this extra week. And so they had to do something with it. And, you know, we have the recap of the recap. We get the wacky stuff. But yeah, like you said, we saw a lot of the cool stuff on the actual episodes. You know, the wacky stuff was so big in the house. You know, we saw the big fights on the episode. We saw a lot of the crying, a lot of the things that normally you say for the recap of the recap. Also, Unlocked has done a lot of the heavy lifting on some of the...
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_05] I was really, you know, I know you had posted on Blue Sky about how you're like, oh, this should be the episode that's for, you know, the montage of people breaking down in the diary room. And we were going to eventually see that. But I was like, Unlocked kind of stole that. You know, they kind of took a basically a recap episode, divided it up and spread it out amongst five different episodes. But instead of the final three sitting around and pontificating, it was a, you know, energy fueled Jerry O'Connell guiding us through this winding path.
[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_07] Would you have preferred if the recap of the recap was just game related as far as, you know, strategy? What if we spent every segment literally on breaking down these people's games? Kind of like what Taren's going to do this week when he does his updates. He goes to each of the players' games and really talks about the highs, the lows. They each got like a little, you know, two, three minute blurb this time around. But considering we knocked out a lot of the wacky Jerry O'Connell content earlier, I think if you lean into that, give Unlocked, you know, the behind the scenes stuff that,
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_07] you know, the shit you should have seen as the real world, call it back in the day, not to harken back to MTV too many times. But, you know, give us, give us the time. Let them talk about it. Let them say what they did. Let Taylor talk a little bit more about how that bribe really effed her over or the Diamond Power Vito really effed her over. Let Devons talk a little bit more about how he, you know, toyed with voting out D, how many times he was ready to turn on Drew and let Drew talk about whatever it is Drew has to talk about too.
[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_05] No, I disagree. I think that, listen, we've seen enough of that. This was an actual recap episode where they were just going week by week, bit by bit. Good God, I would have tuned out completely. I would have watched this like miserable Sunday night football game instead of checking that out because that's stuff we've already, you know, devoted ourselves to, especially from our super duper fan perspective. I like the appeal of like, here are some things that are being packaged in a different way.
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_05] I think actually the ideal solution is that maybe you, you put this stuff in at the top. I think what we need to do instead is oops all jury segments. Oh, I think the penultimate, all the penultimate episode should be entirely from the perspective. Let this be the other 48 days from a lost perspective. Let's see how the other half lives. Let's get all this up because I think we'll get into it soon. That was the headline from this episode, in my opinion, was that Melody's arrival and the subsequent fights that occurred.
[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_05] Probably the final conflict we're going to get of the season in that jury house. I think if you're talking about like, let's memorialize the second half of the season, let's recap what went down. What better way to do it than have the DVDs that they're watching go beat by beat and have the jury who are actually going to be voting on Thursday respond to it.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_07] Oh, that's so good. No, that's really good, Mike. Like, yeah, you cut out all these other segments, these jury segments from all the rest of the episodes. You could have given us more episodes. That's fine because there's been a lot of back and forth, a lot of, you know, uncertainty in these votes. So you definitely had things you could have filled in those spots. But then, yeah, you give us a recap of the recap and then you bring them in one by one. And then we just slowly start to see like, okay, let's tracking this. We're trying to see who's going to vote for who. And then you get Melody versus Angela versus La La versus Angela. Oh, yeah, that's what I needed.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_07] Because I'm not the biggest Angela fan, but I do like when she goes full crackhead. Like when she just goes off the rails and just like, F it, I'm going to start a conversation. I don't like the answer I'm getting. So I'm going to derail the conversation. And I'm just going to start screaming about you putting your foot where it doesn't belong until we move on to the next segment. Yeah, inject that into my veins. I need that a little bit more.
[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_05] See, that's the thing. And listen, I could do an entire discourse about the odd dichotomy that occurs when people return for reality TV seasons. We're on the one hand, we're like, we want to see something different. We want to see growth. On the other hand, it's like when you see a band, you're like, don't play that new shit. Come on, play the one hit. One hit time and time again. Exactly. And Angela certainly played a hit here. This has got to be the primary focus, at least in our initial discussion here, because this was teased. It went, it's teased at the end of the previous episode.
[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_05] And Julie Chen Moonves is a gog, a gog 101. You know that it's going to be something to at least discuss. And indeed it was. As Melody entered the jury house and Chappelle, I'm trying to think back to like, was it as far back as like Big Brother 19 that we've had, at least from an elemental, you know, a segment-based perspective, like this much acrimony? I mean, I guess 21 had a little bit of acrimony, maybe some other stuff going on under the sheets as well in the jury house. But it's been a long time since we've had,
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_05] you know, this much grating between one another.
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_07] Okay, Loon, let's talk about the ones that we've had in the past. Okay, so my mind first goes to Davon versus Pauly Calatiore with Zakiya in the background. Is this who you lay with?
[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_05] Is this who you lay with? And a bunch of people bag on Yasha's haircut and have, people need to remember the, whatever Pauly was attempting to do at that time. Because that image is forever memorialized in my rods and cones. And unfortunately, you know, Pauly's like shaved head with like a comb over leftover is also etched into my brain as well. Exactly.
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_07] You have that one. Do you say like BB-19? There's plenty of that going on in BB-19. I think the biggest one is Madden Raven versus everybody.
[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, it's of course infamous Matt, was a Matt Cline's like, sit down, bro. And Mark's like, I'm sitting right now.
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_07] I'm sitting down. Yeah. Mark and Matt both pointing at each other being like, one of you is a dumb bitch. And we're going to say exactly to each other. So that happened. But you know what? Angela, this is not her MO. Because I remember last season that when we got to, I think the jury round, you know, where they get to talk a little bit. Angela's like, I just don't know why we would vote for Chelsea. What did Chelsea even do? It's like, Angela, girl, we can see you. And so, yeah, Angela's going to stir the pot. That's what she does. That's why they cast her on the show.
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_07] They know she's not, you know, like she's not the best gamer. You know, she will tell you she is a threat. I'm not going to argue with her because I'm not going to go there.
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_05] She's a threat to everyone's airtime.
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_07] I mean, for sure. She's going to be a camera hog if nothing else. But yeah, you put her in a moment where somebody disagrees with her publicly. If she has the mic, she's going to be louder than everybody else. And so, yeah, we definitely got a little vitriol and I would love to see more. I would love to see more. Bring in Dr. Will earlier. Why does he have to only meet them once? Let him moderate every interaction.
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_05] Well, I don't know if it's going to be him. It might be a rotating. Oh, yeah. Oh, I don't.
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_07] Do you have any speculation?
[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_05] I don't have any, you know, I don't have any tea. I don't know what the streets are saying. Maybe pull in the chat and tell me. I listen. I know nothing. I know nothing right now. I will be really intrigued to see who they could do it because they had what? So they had Dr. Will, Taylor, then Cody. It might be. I mean, listen, if it was Dan, incredible timing on CBS's part. He said, I want you to host the round table.
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_07] It's like, we drafted Dan Giesling to come host the round table. I can see that.
[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_05] Hopefully Dan will stop people from droning on and on.
[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, hopefully. You know, I can see Chelsea. I can see Chelsea being brought on. She was just the Taylor replacement for the last episode of Unlocked. Any reason why I couldn't be just Taylor Hale? You don't think they just bring Taylor back? She's not. She busy. Is she doing something?
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_05] Are you sure? Spoiler if that's the case. Because I'm also trying to think about like, I wouldn't be surprised that they used repeat previous house guests, but I feel like there is a little bit of a variety they want to utilize where like, you know, they've already used Morgan. I don't know if it would be Morgan. I think they would want a winner. First and foremost to be the host of the jury round table.
[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_07] Okay. That makes total sense. I see somebody in chat saying Rachel. I think Rachel's too biased. I think Rachel's, she's too much of a fan. She's too locked in.
[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_05] Well, first off, she's met them before. So that's also a lot. But I think the only way they could do it is if they put the skeleton in the red wig. Yes! And had Rachel sit behind the chair with a microphone. Like the crypt keeper sitting there just like. That's a great point, Yash. Lala, do you agree with that?
[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_07] Tell us more about the footsie. No, we got to find out who's going to host this thing. But I need somebody who's going to stir the pot. Don't, Cody California, he's too, he's too like amenable, right? He's like, yeah, you know, like you said the thing, you said the thing. I need somebody to come in and be like, dang, how you going to take that, Angela? You just going to let her talk to you like that? Haley, wow, that's crazy. You going to let her be on your neck like that? Like really try to fan the flames. We got, with the finale, I'm assuming it's going to be a long one, right? Like we typically are.
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_05] It's an hour and a half and that's. Too long. Some of them have been two hours. So like we actually might be a little bit more of a chop chop when it comes to getting through everything.
[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. Yeah. So bring in somebody who's going to stir the pot. I mean, Mike Bloom, what are you doing on Thursday?
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_05] Listen, I would be more than happy to light all the fireworks and just let them detonate among people, not to be confused with the detonators. I'm trying to think about like, I already, they already used Mr. Pectacular, but all I think about is like Keisha's birthday and how like he overheard something and just like let everything turn into a tizzy. You kind of just need those shit stirs. You know, I think that's, those are the best round table hosts because we, again, we need that entertainment. These people have been sitting on their asses watching Netflix and using a water slide for a week. When you check in with us,
[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_05] make sure we remember why you got cast on the show in the first place.
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_07] What did you make of this argument between Melody and Angela and with the Lala assist, depending on, you know, how you look at it? Cause it blew up very quickly.
[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_05] All right. So let's, you know, you can't spell a recap out the recap without recap. So let's, let's describe it. Cause I imagine there's a certain, just a smidge of the people out there who are not devoted fans, such as you and I, who did not degrade themselves by watching this pristine 60 minutes of television, not to be confused by 60 minutes proper. So basically what happens is that Melody enters the jury house and Angela, who had been saying this in the previous jury segment, decides to tell two melodies faces
[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_05] essentially like, yeah, the reason why you got voted out is because Taylor's game is only a little worse perceived than yours is. And then, you know, clearly the, the reputation and perception that Melody has gleaned over the course of not only the jury face, but the entire season comes to a head here when Lala and Angela basically pull Bianca Del Rio and say like, so what do you do successfully, quickly? And Melody pleads the fifth. She decides like, listen, I'm not going to say anything.
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_05] She does say like, my strategy was nothing. I think it's very clearly tongue in cheek because she doesn't want to necessarily like respond to this. And so it goes back and forth initially with Lala where Melody is basically like, I don't want to entertain this question right now. I'm not in the final two. I don't have to explain my game to you. And you know, Melody tries to respond by being like, what was your strategy? This also calls back to me for like BB-19 when, you know, we have Raven and Matt reclaiming the Republic Masters. And it's like, well, your game was worse. It's like,
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_05] we're all sitting here. None of us are even close to the final two at this point. But it truly hits another stage when Angela decides to get involved and specifically get loud in the process where essentially Angela starts talking about how, you know, the perception of Melody that she is somebody who doesn't really do anything. Melody talks about how she had a social game and that's why she was so well protected and she got so far.
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_05] And Angela says, well, the only reason why you got kept around was because you're not good in competitions. Should be noted that Melody got taken out over Taylor because she won two competitions when Angela was not in the house. Melody then does respond asking, well, what was your strategy? Angela says, I had a hand in every eviction for the first six weeks of the game. I, you know, I was a threat as you mentioned. Melody responds, that's because you were an icon and they brought you into the Alliance. I've never even
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_05] played this game before and I made it further than you. She continues by saying that she aligned herself with the right people to protect her and then it just takes off like a supersonic rocket at that point because then it just goes to shut the F up, shut the F up, shut the F up, Melody. It's like a melody ringing in your ears. You know, stop touching me because I guess she touched her at one point which I didn't even see. I think it was just when she was gesticulating. She keeps saying coaster, you're a coaster, coaster. And then if you could ever think that rock
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_05] bottom has been hit, we find that level as Angela then brings up like, you know, Melody talks about, oh, I have this bond with Drew and she says, oh, well, there certainly was a couple of bonds being exchanged in the pool that one time as I saw and Barrett is fantastic at the corner being like, what? What does the pool have to do with this? Pool's pulling and Nini leaks. Like, now why am I in this? Then Melody loudly exchanges like, yeah, great, Drew and I play footsie in the pool.
[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_05] Congratulations. Now everybody knows. Please stop holding this above our head. And then as it usually does as I go to Nini leaks, certain things are leaking from Angela's eyes as she does shed a tear or two by the end of this entire exchange. I'm bastardizing this. I encourage people to check out the episode, check out the clips, but that's essentially the TLDW that, you know, Lala and Angela came in having questions about Melody's game, countering the notion that she quote unquote didn't do anything.
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_05] Melody didn't really respond at first when she did and started bringing up her social game. Then Angela in particular kind of shouts her down, being like, okay, well, no, you only got brought to the end because you weren't necessarily a threat. And then it ends up jumping into a very weird place when Angela starts to bring up something that's clearly been on her mind for the past couple of weeks as well, considering it's one of the last images she saw in the Big Brother house of, well, no wonder you and Drew work so closely together because
[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_05] underwater things were occurring.
[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_07] She was bleeped and blurred so many times. Her mouth was just like, I really want to know, like we need the uncut footage. And I know Big Brother does this sometimes. Sometimes they will let us see the footage of the things that were said on TV.
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_05] I know this technically isn't live feeds, but if you could do a little bit of string pulling behind the scenes, it'd be greatly appreciated.
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_07] Because I need to know, because let me take you through my journey here, okay? First of all, Angela, Melody's the game doesn't matter. Why are you asking Melody about her game? Leave her alone. She's out. Like you said, you're out. Lala's out. She's out. She don't have to explain her strategy to y'all. So if I'm Melody, I'm not talking to you because I can tell you're trying to bait me into saying something crazy and you want to argue, you want to fight, you want to ridicule me. You and Lala sat in this house together and then hyped each other up talking how much trash about me and now y'all want to come at me. So if I'm Melody, I would do the same thing. I ain't talking to you.
[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_07] Now, come on, but Melody, you being like, well, Lala, what's your strategy? Well, Lala, you started the conversation. Y'all start the conversation. You and Angela talk about it. What's your strategy? Well, I was like, well, I, you know, not really got one, but I did. I did win the wall thing. Yeah, yeah, but she got, she got the wall thing and she got it. She ate her up. She said, I broke records, baby. What did you do? Back to Melody. Hey, Melody, leave that lady alone. She told you what she did. Move on. Angela, we're back. We're back and forth. Melody, she says, uh, you know,
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_07] you were, you were coattails. You were dragged here. You weren't a threat. Melody, she'll step back to Angela. Angela, tell us about your threatening levels. And Melody's right. Angela came in. She had basically a built-in alliance. The icons, they worked with her because they needed the number and Angela is a number. She did not really make that many decisions that were like separate from what Dee and Devin's wanted to do. You know, she definitely had a hand. She talked about it. She was in the conversations. But yeah, um, impact wise,
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_07] Angela's impact and Melody's impact, they're not that dissimilar. And so I really felt like you could, we could just leave it at that. Like, hey, we each played our part, but we're all out of the game. Then come the footsie. Right. Angela, I don't know what you're getting at. If Melody and Drew was out here doing, doing freak nasty stuff in the water, that's not an indictment on her game. If anything, that goes to show you how social she is. Okay. Cause everybody can't do that. Everybody not able. I ain't seen Angela if he go to work at nobody. So, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm just saying people got different strokes for different folks. If you know what I'm saying.
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_05] Don't say strokes.
[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_07] I mean, I'll say it. I said it. I said strokes. I'll say stroke again. She got different strokes for different folks. Let's not yuck her yum. If that's what Melody was into and that's what helped her game, then so be it. Okay. Cause Drew was going to take her to the final two. Angela, you didn't make it there. Okay. Nobody did. None of y'all did. Just let it, let it be. Let it be. It's okay.
[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_05] The worst thing that could have happened to Angela Murray, honestly, was Matt and MJ getting together after Big Brother 26. This is her playbook, Chappelle. In her first incredible speech, she said like, you know, in her many, uh, diatribe like statements to, to Matt, she then does that aside to MJ being like, I don't know what you see in him. You know, don't associate yourself with him. And I feel like then she has been on showman's watch ever since. She feels like she is like the nurse in Romeo and Juliet, right?
[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_05] Sitting back, watching these young, you know, lovesick couples find one another and only trouble can brew as a result. So I think it's like Angela feeling like, again, much like she came in being like, I had accurate reads. I was 100% right on Chelsea. You know, her first experience definitely clouds her second. I mean, I honestly, from a good TV perspective, really enjoyed this. Not only because again, gave us something and it gave us something that we haven't experienced in a long time, but like a lot of arguments, I honestly can see
[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_05] points where each person was kind of right. Again, like, like you were talking about with Melody, like they're all out of the game. She doesn't necessarily owe it to anybody to be like, no, this is why I was playing a good game, you know, because it's also probably not going to change her opinion of people. These people, particularly Lala and Angela have like gleaned a perception of her over two plus months. One conversation sitting on the patio watching a DVD is not going to reverse
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_05] that entirely. And I also think though, Angela, because of the position she was in, was, did have a lot of involvement in those first six evictions. I mean, the Rome eviction was pretty much her doing. She was the one that was pushing Devon's to backdoor Rome. And I think like, you know, it's tough to, to equivocate the two games because Melody just never found herself really in that position of power at all until what,
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_05] maybe the Drew HOH more than halfway through the game after the period that Angela said that she was in power. What I will also say as well, perhaps, you know, against Melody's points here is I, I just always dislike the points people make of like, well, clearly I did something right because I made it further than you.
[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, that's not how it works.
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_05] There are so many factors that go into a placement that somebody makes on a reality show. Perhaps most importantly, luck in terms of roll of the dice of who wins what, when things come about, et cetera. And the cherry on top of all this, Chappelle, is that Angela has the most smoke for Melody who is one of the people who did not vote to evict her that week.
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, no, Angela being anti her allies is pretty much that's on board, right? Like, I mean, on brand, the first time she played, if you trusted Angela, if she liked you, if you did something nice for her, she was coming after you immediately after. So I'm not shocked by that at all. But I was a little surprised by it though, Mike. Angela seems to be rooting against Drew. Did you catch that? She's like, I hope Drew's the one who comes in the house next. Oh, okay. Well, that's interesting because if Drew comes in the house next again, you know, if he's after, you know, he's the one
[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_07] that's booted, which, I mean, he won't be. But I would love to see like if she's actually rooting against him because he's a front runner because we see that sometimes or is she rooting against him because she does not think he deserves the win. I was very shocked to her react like that when she saw that it wasn't Drew coming into the house.
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, she has always had this really weird perspective on Drew, right? Her and D, the entire first like six weeks of the game was, oh my God, I can't stand him and I can't trust him. I mean, like they were the ones pushing for Haley to put him up and there was a period of time in week four where if he didn't win that blockbuster, he was going to be donezo. So I think right now, honestly, like Angela is one of the only icons. She's really like the only person from her alliance considering that Barrett
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_05] separated himself from the crossovers who's sitting there right now. So I think she has a very specific perception of Drew and that might inform how things shake down, especially in a prospective Taylor Drew vote. But I would not be surprised in the least that I know D is going to get very little time to engage with the jury, but I got a bet that once her and Angela link up, D is going to be like, no, we're cool with Drew. He made the right move. You know, he got into this argument with Taylor and Lala and then he was totally cool in my book. He ran with us until the very end. He's OK. And Angela will hop back
[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_05] on board and totally vote for him to win.
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_07] She doesn't look like she enjoys Drew as a person right now. And I know that could probably change, but she doesn't seem like she thinks too highly of Taylor's game. If you had to guess from your professional opinion, Mike, who do you think is more likely to get Angela's vote if Taylor and Drew are in the final two?
[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_05] So this would also have to be under the implication, right? And you know what? We'll we'll get into spoilers later on from the live feeds. But let's say Taylor wins the final HOH and evicts Devons. I mean, that's that's going to be something that could really move the needle among people. I feel like I just feel like the icons are a block. Like I know that they are technically independent people, but I feel like
[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_05] they all think together. They all work together. They all like one another. And so they do want to kind of be in lockstep. Now, again, Angela's getting limited FaceTime with the other icons, you know, especially if Devons would go out in third, considering that he would not be able to talk to him at all. The other side of this is, I guess, like Angela has said for a while, right? That Taylor had winner energy. And would this not be the best source of confirmation bias possible is like her saying, you know what? I knew this all along.
[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_05] So Taylor, my vote is going to you. I just feel like in the bottom of my heart that at the end of the day, she would vote to evict Drew, even if Taylor would make this move at Drew makes the move at final three. She's definitely voting for Drew. I feel like even if Taylor makes the move at final three, I feel like if Drew is explaining himself the way he explained his game to us tonight, which is talking about working with and utilizing the icons. I think her being involved in that game is something she would respect.
[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_07] I wonder if Angela would vote for Taylor to win the game to spite melody.
[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_05] It is interesting. We very rarely have that right where it's like your alliance made annoying me so much in the jury house that now I'm going to vote against them with every fiber of my being. Great job, buddy. You sent your your number one to the jury house who poisoned them against you.
[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, I remember that BB don't hear me lying. 18, I guess. No, I guess that's yeah, that's 18. Nicole is about to win, but they're going to big meet about her thoughts about Nicole and she's in tears because she can't figure out a way not to vote for Nicole. She's like, I just hate her so much. I just tell me she's awful. Dr. Will is really like sounds like you're just jealous and you you know, she played a good game and she got you out and me.
[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_07] She's like kill me. Kill me. I can't do it. I can't vote for I could see that for Angela, especially after this fight.
[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, I think also we'll probably get into speculation later on, but I think we also forget, especially with modern day Big Brother juries. There's a lot of groupthink involved like the last five four or four or three vote we had was all the way back in Big Brother 20. Since then, it's been seven to nine zero nine zero real one. Was it seven? Five two in 25, then seven oh and 26 and then six one in 27.
[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_05] So people spending a lot of time together, especially when there's not a lot of stakes in the game anymore and you feel the need to like lie to one another. I think there is sort of just a vibe and mentality that develops where people want to be on the right side of the vote in a manner of speaking. Now, maybe the icons don't necessarily have that MO because they've couple of them have voted in juries a number of times, but I would say no matter what the outcome is, I wouldn't be surprised if we're closer to like a six one or even a seven oh vote than a four three.
[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_07] Have any of the icons ever voted incorrectly in a jury?
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, Devin's voted for Gavin in Edge of Extinction.
[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_07] Yikes. Well, listen, some would say he voted correctly in Edge of Extinction, but you know, that's not for me to litigate right now.

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_05] I will also bring up for Angela, I am so happy that as much as it annoyed me to have her keep shouting the word coaster to try to get melody to quiet down. Thank you so much for bringing that word back into the big brother lexicon because listen, as much as I love Rachel Riley and her desiccated corpse, may she rest in peace. I abhor the fact that she took the term floater, which used to be good and made it
[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_05] bad to give it a bad connotation to make it feel like, hey, you're floating through the game. You're doing nothing. I don't know if it was pretty or eat the animal who just define. OK, there's a floater and a coaster. A floater is someone who is actively dipping in and out of different sides. June song, Andy Heron, et cetera. A coaster is someone who more so is just kind of going through the game. I would use here. Here's the example I would use if you were in college. A floater is somebody who is attending all these sorts of liberal arts classes across
[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_05] all these different subjects to figure out what they want to major in. The coaster is the person who majored in English and is sleeping in the back of the class every Thursday morning.
[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. OK. Yeah. OK. I was probably a little bit both. I'm not going to lie to you. I was doing some things. OK, but listen, there's a time and a place for each of those things, you know, but I think you're right. I think you're right. The floater is the person who is bouncing from the power structure, you know, like, OK, this person has power. I can survive for the week. This person has power. I'm going to go over there. I have no loyalty to anybody. I don't really know if that describes Melody. You know, I just think that, you know, well, I don't I don't think coaster describes her either. You know, like the idea that she was just like sitting in the back chilling. It's like, no, she just
[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_07] couldn't win anything. They couldn't win any competitions. Now, if she was jumping from side to side, I would say, OK, that's probably a little bit to me. That's a little bit less respectable when you are jumping from outside. You're not actually there's no end game and like in sight. You're just doing it until you run out of space. Drew, some would say, was a floater. You know what I'm saying? He had he had he had people on both sides. Right. He's talking about how he played the middle. So he's floating from power structure, power structure. He had his number one alliance, but he definitely was willing to, you know, bounce around as necessary.
[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_07] For me, the coaster thing is like the like that's when you don't do anything. That's when you slip. Like you said, you're in the back chilling. You ran out. Eventually, somebody voted you out because you just ran out of time. Gen City, I'm looking at you. No disrespect. Queen icon. But, you know, I don't know.
[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_05] I think that one said that she was the dictionary definition of float error.
[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_07] Right. And which is wrong. But but look, I don't think Melody or Taylor obviously have that same identity, I guess, in their game. They were they were trying. They just were up against so many obstacles. I mean, you have H.O.H. they have to win that. We have to win the V-Dolls. And if they then I got to win blockbusters as well against some really strong competition. Then on top of that, America's voting for all of Drew's allies to get stuff. So sucks for Taylor. And then on the same time on the same token,
[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_07] we got diamond powers and V-Dolls. We got bribes. There was a lot of things hindering from those two people from playing a very active game, even though there's definitely things they could have done differently.
[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_05] That's the thing is, I think sometimes people mistake passivity for lack of power. You know, I think that both Melody and Taylor tried to do things. It wasn't for lack of trying, but various things either popped up or were generally brought about due to the game structure or competition wins as a result. I mean, that's the other thing as well that I think also contributes to, again, the perception of like, well, Melody and Taylor are down here, but Melody is just a little better than Taylor. That's why she got evicted is how comp forward
[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_05] Big Brother is in general. I think adding the blockbuster, I will continue to say, is one of the best advents they could have brought in in general, if not across 26 plus years of Big Brother. But it has made it even more important now to go full sabermetrics sometimes with Big Brother and be like, well, you didn't win any blockbusters. You didn't win any vetoes. You didn't win any HOHs. All that is to say, again, we can prognosticate a juror Taylor final to laid down the road. If she wins final for HOH and especially if she wins final
[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_05] three HOH, that could certainly buck perceptions of the perception is you did nothing and it becomes I won these competitions when I needed to. And this is when some of the biggest threats went out. That actually is a way I think to reverse course a bit on the runaway train that can emerge sometimes.
[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. And if we're following things that Rachel Riley has outlined as Big Brother staples from the first time she played, you know, we might already be playing a dangerous game. This is the same woman who was like, Kristen, you and these trifling hoes can't come between me and my man. I was like back when Rachel was ratchet. That's when she was yelling things like floaters grab her life. We can't just take Rachel's words and run with him. Not from the old Rachel, new Rachel.
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_05] No, I mean, it makes sense again. Maybe I'm thinking back to like the 1752 that we traveled to at the end. And it's like going back to like our founding fathers and being like, well, they thought best. Let's use their words nowadays. And it's like, right, they were wearing tri-corner hats and powdered wigs and sweating their asses off in wool coats in the middle of July. Did they have the best sense as to how things would function 250 years later? Then people were wearing
[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_07] slave teeth as their own teeth. Let's you know what I'm saying? Like we can't we sometimes we got we got evolved, baby. You know what I'm saying? Like early that's in the past.
[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_05] Well, let's let's sink our teeth into this episode a little bit because let's get into, I think, some of the more miscellaneous segments. Again, there were only a few from the feeds. I thought that the edit overall this season was incredibly well done, especially and I think giving general senses as to some of the bigger movements that were happening in the house, some of the bigger fights, the bigger relationships, etc. And so I was thinking, all right, I just need Mallory Airlines. And it pops up pretty early on in the episode. Were you happy to see it emerge here?
[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_05] Do you feel like we got enough of the return of Pipe Queen, the pilot?
[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_07] Can I say something brave? Please. I don't get it. I just look, if you like it, I love that for you. OK, you know what I'm saying? I'm not here to tell you what you can enjoy and what you cannot enjoy. But playing make make believe airplane. This is why I don't play these games. This is why I couldn't play Big Brother, but they'd be like Chappelle's anti-social. You don't want to talk to anybody. No, I don't want to play this. I don't want to do this. I don't want to. Hey, Pipe Queen. I hope this is take, you know, congratulations. More power to you. Not for me. Not for me.
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_07] This is your.
[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_05] If you want to do well in Big Brother, you have to have the sociability to have someone approach you and say, can you come to my improv show tonight? It's at midnight in the basement of a grocery store. And you say, hell yeah. And I'll be laughing uproariously the whole time.
[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_07] I just can't look. And it's not even specific to Mallory. I hate this anytime they're doing stuff like this on Big Brother. Again, this is why I don't do these things. You know, you've seen me in my natural element, Mike. I like to be outside. Okay. And they, this is a very inside game. And so I'm sitting around playing mafia and concentration that the season with chemo chemo and Rabina singing all the damn time and everybody, the big comfy couch. Hey, fuck. I'm sorry. Hey, forget that.
[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_07] Taylor forget. I don't want no part to that. So Mallory congrats, I guess.
[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. I mean, for me, a, she has that manic theater kid energy that I have a whole ass degree in. So like I very much vibe with that. This is what my friends and I would do at two in the morning instead of actually going out to parties is kill me.
[00:39:46] Kill me.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_05] Well, I got a plane to get you for you to get on to do that. I am sad that we didn't get the bus. I actually thought the bus was funnier than the plane because the bus traveled to much different locations yet still ended in, I would say even more grave circumstances. I think we could have dealt more with like the hyper aggressive ending that Mallory went for every single time. Like she was in a Quentin Tarantino movie. It always had to end in a shootout.
[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. And I love that Devin's is like, oh yeah, this is meek, this meek pipe queen. You know, she came into the house so quiet and meek and then she got to the bus driver in the plane and started losing her minds. I was like, no, pipe queen had y'all all fooled because she was in the diary room talking hot shit. Okay. She was in there. If these people, if y'all this, that and other, like I'm coming for y'all and then by the end she goes out screaming and hollering and you know, that iconic diary room confessional. She was way more than meek. And so I just felt like
[00:40:41] [SPEAKER_07] there are better ways to kind of like solidify and like I guess highlight the legacy of the pipe queen than the airplane being. That's all.
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_05] We did briefly before we took a flight with Mallory, take a deep dive into the book of Yash Chappelle. So we got a little bit of Yashism, some interesting turns of phrase that he said over the course of his many days in the big brother house. Do any stand out to you at this moment?
[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_07] There's so many that are so I just like I try not to I try not to have conversations with 24 year old males. It's not this is like not a thing because I used to be once I get it. Sometimes you just start talking. Matter of fact, maybe things haven't changed that much over the course of several years. But yeah, it's too much. The Yashisms are a lot. You need rain to make flowers and I'm going to make it rain so we can have some flowers. I think they talk about the glass being empty and half empty but half full. But do they ever
[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_07] talk about the glass feelings? Like, can you help me understand the Yashisms?
[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, my favorite by far is in the saying of comes and goes how its flow better than ebb. But come is better than go. First off, these sound like Lauren Hill lyrics that she ditched on like the B side of the B side. I'm obsessed with this because as much as we were talking about Chuck GPT the entire time, Yash clearly is the most AI generated house guest of them all. This is why he had to go running to get water on his way out of the house, Chappelle.
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, this this man should not be allowed to. He shouldn't be allowed to do this. The book. We should burn the book. The Yash. There's always why
[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_05] he works with numbers and not words.
[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_07] Right. And I'll take that because I'm sure he's good at a lot of things. He seemed like he was, you know, getting better and better as big brother. But the Yash is, I mean, I just don't understand it. Even the one where he's like, you you can't glaze if you want to be glazed. The glazed cannot be the glazer if you want to be glazed. Does Drake glaze? I was like, but Yash, in this moment where you're talking about Drake not glazing, are you not glazing Drake to make your point that you should be glazed because you cannot, you know, it's too much. It's too much.
[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_07] Oh, I don't understand what the kids we talk about. Mike, you have to explain it to me.
[00:43:01] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, I mean, there were some that that felt, you know, insightful, at least sensical. We're closer if we're looking to the future, but we're further if we're looking to the past. But again, in the saying of comes and goes, how is flow better than ebb? But come is better than go. All right. Let me just brought. Listen, I I think
[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_07] Mike. Hmm. No, don't Mike. This is weird. We live. Mike, we'll be careful. What are you about to do?
[00:43:34] [SPEAKER_05] I think I get it.
[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_07] Are you going to start with the come or the flow?
[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_05] Listen,
[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_07] poor kid.
[00:43:42] Mike,
[00:43:44] [SPEAKER_07] Michael.
[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_05] Please. So I feel like when he's talking about like easy come, easy go, he's like, why are we so focused on when there's easy come, easy go. And we talk about the ebb and the flow. It's like, well, everyone loves the ebbs or the flows. Nobody likes the ebbs. The ebbs are the ones that are left out. But when it comes to coming and going, everyone keeps talking about coming everywhere. No one's talking about the going.
[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_07] He's right. He's right. No one's talking about the going. No one's talking about the going. Okay. All right. All right. Give me the book. Give me the book.
[00:44:19] [SPEAKER_05] I certainly ebb after I come.
[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_07] I definitely flow sometimes. But sometimes it's hard to get people to go. You know, that's really where it's
[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_05] almost impossible to let some people go.
[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_07] Sometimes you be beat. You're out here tired. It is difficult to leave. That's all that I kind of I think I'm following. I think I see where he's going.
[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, exactly. Exactly. But the same way you can see real is the same way you can see fraud. And I'm seeing a little bit of real from Yash.
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. And real real recognize real Mike in a I don't know some of the people to be brother house be looking a little unfamiliar. But Yash he a real way.
[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_05] I think so. I think what's the what's the career path for him with this type of stuff? Like, should he go into motivational speaking would be weird.
[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. And also, yeah, like that's that's that's the front for whatever the real business is. Like this is Adam Jaszinski. Yeah, this is a cult. This is a cult. Yash, ieu, do your thing. Lead the cult. You'll have everybody walking around with the skullets. Okay, because they'll show that they're disciples.
[00:45:19] [SPEAKER_05] Listen, and I was watching the VMAs biding my time. I saw the one and only Teddy swims. He knows how to ebb and flow. He was rocking the skullet Chappelle.
[00:45:27] [SPEAKER_07] Nobody shocked. Nobody shocked. I saw it and said, yep, that's exactly what I thought Teddy swims would look like today on the on the VMAs. Maybe this is Josh's impact.
[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_05] I think so. I think that Teddy swims, of course, noted big brother fan. He was almost going to be unlocked, but then something fell through. He was like, let me honor my boy. Yash. Here's my next song. It's called comes and goes ebbs and flows.
[00:45:52] [SPEAKER_07] I'm just going to leave it at that. I had something to say, Mike, but I forgot this is not the slop.
[00:45:57] [SPEAKER_05] Well, as I'm putting my foot in my mouth, should we talk about ants crawling into Angela's mouth? What did you think about the momentary crossover with a bug's life that we got?
[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_07] I thought you were going to talk brother season. It's just the inevitable time where the ants move back into the parking lot. They leave because obviously I'm sure the big brother people, the CBS people come and clean the house. They fumigate it. They run the bugs off.
[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_05] end of a stranger thing season where they come in with flame throwers and just completely incinerate all down.
[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_07] Right. And the ants know this. They've started walking around with black feet. And then ants are like, wait, is this safe to come out? Is this life? Are we here now? And so Angela is spending another summer with her friends. She knows these ants.
[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, they mouth in the middle of speaking.
[00:47:16] [SPEAKER_07] Is that the reverse Lanzetti? I thought the verse would be Jennifer climbing into the ants ear.
[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_05] That would be incredibly impressive. I would give her a standing ovation from that one. But that was wild to me. know that Haley would probably have the bigger gripe about the grasshopper you know, hitting her in the face as a moment of gratitude or giving her a slap to say, hey, you haven't had a rough week, but the ant and Angela's mouth just really got me because that is wild from the ant's perspective.
[00:47:48] [SPEAKER_07] When Angela started talking about Yash not washing his sheets and she said the bugs would be in his bed. That's what my first thought was like they're gonna you got Josh listen homie wash your sheets wash your sheets
[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_05] was what he said I go to bed fresh I wake up fresh acknowledging the fact that he is completely unconscious for like the six to eight hours where anything can happen including bodily functions yeah
[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_07] just just just go wash your sheets just wash the sheets you're washing everything else it wash them I just don't understand why if you're in a big brother house and you're seeing everybody else do these normal hygienically sound things washing their ass washing
[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_07] their sheets why don't you do the same why don't you you know we see this sometimes they'll be like hey such and such hasn't taken a shower in and it's because of people like yash who refuse to be clean
[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_05] I mean as he would probably put it dirty sheets clean game
[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_07] that's so real that's so real you're right give me the book give me the book it's starting to make sense the more you say
[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_05] am I a
[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_07] ghostwriter on the book of yash you need the credit yeah you need that I'm sure I don't think I need the credit no no Mike you need the credit we need to make sure people know um yeah
[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_05] that's the other thing as well like even even if he's not like profusely sweating it could even just be like you know a peer pressure thing of like if everyone else is washing him maybe just cycle them through throw my spray on his sheets and didn't wash him so he slept on the bug spray I mean listen it's a two in one you keep the bugs off of yourself and the bed if you're rolling around in uh DMT the entire night
[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_07] oh no sorry no no gross ill gross nope I don't like it I hate it boo hate this
[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_05] did you like speaking of thog memorializing her by the rough weeks montage I'm
[00:50:13] [SPEAKER_07] so happy I'm so happy big brother latched onto this first of all them grabbing thog the announcer guy when he first said thog we went crazy on blue sky we went crazy because as y'all know we
[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_05] i In recent memory, I think we're 100% going to have people walk in the house in Big Brother 29 and say, I feel like Haley. I'm having a rough week and make the edit because of this. Haley left the house a month ago and she was getting referenced here. We barely got Chuck time, barely got a Kamu mentioned, barely got Jason, even though he won the unlocked vote for, you know, favorite house guest.
[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_05] She was the preacher to really be highlighted out of that entire cast.
[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_07] It's so funny that what we latch on to as Big Brother fans, it's just the smallest things, you know, throughout the season where I heard people saying like big day tomorrow, you know, that became a meme. Yeah, big day tomorrow came a meme. Obviously, it's Chuck time is ridiculous, but also timeless. But, you know, Jason and the tea, the tea kettle, you know, that that too was kind of like, OK, these are iconic moments. But it's just sometimes it's just little, little bitty things. You know, for some reason, Angela is known for charcuterie.
[00:52:14] [SPEAKER_07] Mallory is the pipe queen after one challenge. So for Thaw to have several, several weeks that are just rougher than everybody else's. How can we not make her one and synonymous with those rough weeks? You know what I'm saying? Like from moving forward. Yeah, the rough week is going to be a Haley week. She's having a plaid week.
[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_05] What did you make of Taylor's comment that she should win America's favorite victim?
[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_07] I mean, if we're going to vote for that. Yeah, I think she's I think she could. She's not even going to win that vote. They're not going to vote for the Haley.
[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_05] That's that's the problem, too. And maybe she is. People don't vote ironically when it comes to these things are very sincere.
[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, they're going to look for the actual victim here. They're going to be like, well, Kamu did get blindsided by the diamond power. You know, like it sucked to lose an award that they created just for you.
[00:52:59] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, what could you imagine if they actually put in an America's favorite victim award?
[00:53:03] [SPEAKER_07] No, no, no. And honestly, we don't need to we don't need to talk about that even even more because they might actually do it. Or maybe we could have got it on the BB Unlocked Awards. Rob Session, you know, could have presented you were front row center for that.
[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, I was going to say, listen, when Cody Nixon takes over a showrunner, maybe it'll show up. But for right now, it is an award in name only.
[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_07] Funny enough, Cody Nixon is probably the closest approximate to thog that I can think of. And then he just gave us nothing. Remember, he gave us nothing at first. And I was there. OK, so I don't like that people try to change the narrative. He gave us nothing. And we were like, boo, this man sucks. Why is he on the show? He doesn't even want to be here. He's not even giving us any ridiculous things in the diary room. He's being so bland. But then we started to hate Paul. And as we started to hate Paul, we're like, well, at least Cody Nixon, too, does not like what Paul is doing.
[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_07] Maybe Cody Nixon is the one that we should be riding with. And for some reason, some weird ass reason, Mike Bloom, America voted for Cody Nixon as their favorite house guest of the season.
[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_05] The same one. Because theoretically, with everything that was going on and Paul's alliance being in power, he kind of was America's favorite victim at that time.
[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_07] I mean, we came full circle that quickly. I don't know. America's favorite victim. It's been a thing before. I think I'd say Cameron Harden was one of America's favorite victims. He was there.
[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, it feels like AFV because this was definitely America's funniest home videos of some of the segments that were shown tonight, including Drew deciding to pull a Kevin McAllister when everyone hides of him. And he decides to listen, he could have done much crazier stuff if he thought he was truly go full hide and go veto. Throw the cereal on the floor, slide around in your underwear. But I feel like on the live feeds, he was like barely alone for like maybe 20 minutes until he goes up and lets one rip.
[00:54:52] [SPEAKER_05] And it was an absolute gasp for everyone involved.
[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. See, this is why I don't play these reindeer games. I'm out. I don't want it. I don't want it. I get it. It's fun in games. But then you start farting. That's biological warfare. I didn't sign up for that. But, you know, now do people stuff themselves into bathrooms and, you know, inhale often? Sometimes I've heard it happens. It's not really my my, you know, neck of the woods, but I heard it happens. But they don't want to. They don't want that. When they say somebody let the funk out. This is not what they're talking about.
[00:55:22] [SPEAKER_05] As Yash would say, why are we so focused about what comes out and so much on what comes in?
[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_07] Yash is very focused on what's coming. Yes, regardless. This is like the second or third Yash.
[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_05] What flows out of us?
[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. Yeah. Like, people can see us.
[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_05] Listen, it's officially after midnight right now. OK, this is the big brother after dark that we need.
[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_07] All right. Let me take off my hat. Let me get comfortable.

[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_04] Seems like a lot when you could just depop all those boots.
[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_10] Ugh, resale sucks. They take such a big cut.
[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_04] There's no selling fees on Depop. And it's easy to list.
[00:57:44] [SPEAKER_10] Ugh, really? Huh. Easy.
[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_04] Make money on Depop with no selling fees. Download Depop and start selling today.
[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_05] Maybe don't settle in too much because I feel like there's not going to be a lot much. Oh, again, the other thing that got brought up that was fun. Remember all the way back on Day 7, Chappelle, where, like, all these people relatively liked each other before all the petty to major grievances started. And they all figured out, hey, we all have black tops and we all have jorts.
[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:58:41] [SPEAKER_05] And Dee is disgusted by jorts. Really achieved that. I, like, are jorts back in? Were they always in? Because when I think jorts, personally, I always go to Daisy Dukes. Oh, see? That's just the number one answer in my mind on this family feud question.
[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_07] See, that's a different thing because we saw when the women came out, they weren't like, oh, women in jorts, women in jorts. It was like, no, they're wearing Daisy Dukes. You know, they're short. They're more appealing, I think. You know, from back in my day, I run from the land of we wore really big clothes, really big clothes.
[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_05] You know, my jorts were like pants, you know? That's when I saw Kamu. I'm like, are those capris? Why are they so low?
[00:59:21] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. My jorts used to come down to my ankles. OK, and then I was wearing ankle socks so you could just get that little peak. OK, so that was decades ago. OK, we moved so far away from that.
[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, I just personally, this is why this is why I'm a soft pants type of career worker. I love a soft pants. Like denim is feels so uncomfortable to live in from a minute to minute day to day perspective at this point. And so to be like, hey, easy breezy shorts, I'm having a good time. Let me wear this thick woven fabric on me that I've got to drag around as I go to my barbecues. Seems completely counterintuitive.
[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_05] It's like wearing a knit take top, you know, like maybe fulfills the purpose somewhat, but not completely.
[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_07] I have on a black muscle shirt on this, but I don't wear jorts. Like you say, I'm a soft pantser, especially when I'm podcasting. If I'm if pants are wearing worn, sometimes I'm pants less, you know, like again, the cameras up here. They don't have to worry about what's down here. But yeah, I could I would have got down with the costume party. Do a black tank.
[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_05] OK, so I was going to say Chappelle. So let's talk about like your gradient of shenanigans. You would not engage in with the house. You would not do the game of sardines in the H.O.H. bathroom. You would not do any of Mallory's pretend playtime that always ends in some sort of natural disaster. You would be fine now. OK, you would be fine with the dress up. Would you be fine with the dance circle?
[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love a dance circle. Yeah, I love a dance circle. Look, as long as I don't have to look at Rick Devon's dancing. Mike, you're a white man. Talk to me about this. Now, how come when it when it's like when all that fails, we like revert to the worm or some type of hump on the ground? What is that? Is that cultural?
[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_05] Chappelle, when we began this life as a mere amoeba, the first thing we did was crawl out of the water without arms and legs. Do we not revert back to that primal instinct that made us, you know, from single celled organisms to complex beings millennia ago and just say, I don't know what to do with my hands and legs. So might as well do nothing with them.
[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_07] I just I don't understand. But it's kind of like I get it. Your upper body is doing one thing. You can't really figure out what to do with the bottom part, the bottom part. But then like there's like frog splash onto the ground. And that never leads to anything quite. It always like I like Rick Devon's, but I can look at I can look directly at it. You know, it was kind of hurting my eyes.
[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_05] So I yeah, dance circles are always tough. I think especially with a drag queen as well, you always feel like you're going to be upstaged no matter what, like you could be pulling off the best moves you possibly can. And so I think that's why you have to go Devon's and be like, well, let me purposely, even if I'm, you know, freaking Channing Tatum, let me try to play up the fact that I'm bad because I know I'm going to get upstaged by Jason at the end of the day.
[01:02:14] [SPEAKER_07] I'm pretty sure Jason called Rick Devon's a stunt queen at one point. And I mean, yeah, it was I mean, wasn't it giving that like he came out, he did a couple of worms. So now Jason has to come out and do a 360 into a split. Then somebody has to swim all over to the floor. And, you know, it's like you got to you got to outdo each other. You know, somebody got to come out and do a full front flip. I think we did see a front flip at some point. Yeah, the drag queen really raises the bar on competition here. I think they thought they were lip syncing for their lives.
[01:02:41] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, I think they should do that instead of giving these speeches sometimes. Yeah, you know, instead of giving shout outs, do a lip sync to a public domain song. You have to you must prepare a lip sync to happy birthday to you for any others will vote on who they want to evict.
[01:02:56] [SPEAKER_07] You could bring in like the veto ringers like they did for Casey Clark when she comes in and she or, you know, and does the competition on your behalf. You have to bring in a lip sync ringer from the past of Big Brother. You know, they come in and they'll do it. I think I mean, honestly, Jason is number one with that. But I don't even know if there's a number two option. I think you bring in Jason every time.
[01:03:15] [SPEAKER_05] 15 like I just remember something I remember a moment people clip where she was like really going hard to listen to someone's H.O.H. music.
[01:03:22] [SPEAKER_07] Hey, sometimes the H.O.H. music be on point. This season, they had some good music. I was very I was very locked in even that week where it's like I think Kamu got the the Mercy Me. I was like, look, the people were back there. The church campers, they know they know Mercy Me had the people in a blender for at least a year and a half.
[01:03:37] [SPEAKER_05] Do you think they're sad they missed out on the VMAs? The back and back in the day, Chappelle, people won a trip to the VMAs in the Big Brother house.
[01:03:45] [SPEAKER_07] If I was at the VMAs and I got my trip to go and I had to get up there and watch Madonna get up there as well, because Madonna clearly was doing some things that Chappelle I approve of to an extent. It's like like I saw people speculate, like, is she drunk? Is she on edibles? I'm like, if y'all think an edible can affect Madonna after 70 years of living this lifestyle, please. That lady's got to be on a horse tranquilizer to really get the effect of what she really needs to experience on there. But she was clearly on something.
[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_05] I is. I was actually having this thought when I was watching Madonna, except, you know, the number of words that she did. Is Julie Chen Moonves the Madonna of reality TV hosts? Go on. Where she's just kind of doing her thing. And every week we're sort of like, why did she say that? Why is she doing that? But you know what? She's earned it at that point that she's kind of built a legacy, especially lately on a lot of these strange moments, despite being so venerated in the community.
[01:04:42] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, she's very stiff. You know, Madonna 70. So we give Madonna a pass like this lady literally six one, 69 or something. Something like that. I'm not going to bother that lady. She wants to stand up there and be still cool. Matter of fact, it's probably healthier. Julie's been doing. Julie loves the Madonna. She does love the Madonna. And you know what? She's been standing still, not doing much on TV for a very long time. OK, Julie has been able to maximize that little box. You know, she's over here. But first, she's over here. And then she kind of goes over here. And sometimes she sits down. But for the most part, she's right here.
[01:05:10] [SPEAKER_07] So, yeah, there's a lot of shared DNA between the two of them. I'm glad you brought it up.
[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_05] I also was thinking when I was watching the VMAs that I feel like it has been too long since we've had, especially when this week where we've got nothing going on for the next few days. Why do we not have musical artists come in and play in the Big Brother house anymore? We had Sheryl Crow. We have what? Kelsey Ballerini. Do you have BB Rex at one time? Or did I make that up? Not Kelsey Ballerini. OK. Yeah. And Big Brother 20. Johnny, why don't we have someone just come in with a literal captive audience and play a set for them?
[01:05:44] [SPEAKER_07] Bring in Somber. After the VMAs, I don't need it. I don't know. Was that all the musical guests we've ever had on Big Brother? Because I only remember a show from... Ziggy Marley. Ziggy Marley, of course. My bad. How did I win Big Z? One rotation. Well, now look. Yes, absolutely. Yeah. If I could get Ziggy Marley to smoke with me and then also sing the Arthur theme song with me, I'm all in. Every day when you're walking down the street.
[01:06:09] [SPEAKER_05] Is there an artist, Chappelle, that you think... And it's got to be someone who is mainstream enough, but obviously not. I mean, listen. They did go in an Ariana Grande concert one season, but I feel like they had it in there.
[01:06:20] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. They had somebody hook them up. I don't know if Ariana is in the shape that she needs to be in physically and emotionally and mentally at the same right time. Right now, I'm kind of worried about Ari. But, you know, maybe you can get Taylor Swift to come in and perform some of her more recent tunes that everybody seems to be in love with.
[01:06:38] [SPEAKER_05] The best you could get is like a Taylor Swift impersonator.
[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_07] But only performing Cleveland. Yes. They can't get the rights to any of the good songs, so just Cleveland.
[01:06:49] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, honestly, best or worst promotion, having the Big Brother houseguest promote her new album.
[01:06:55] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, it can only go bad there. Nothing good comes from being a Big Brother.
[01:06:59] [SPEAKER_05] Claire has a perfect one. If he wasn't already affiliated with American Idol, Lionel Richie is the perfect example. Oh, no, no, no, no. You know what it is? Glenn Medeiros. It's it's. Yes.
[01:07:14] [SPEAKER_07] Yes. Yes. OK. Glenn Medeiros coming in and doing his amazing cover of a song because dear God, like we've completely forgotten that that's not even his song. But yeah, big, big year for Glenn Medeiros. They really put him back on the map.
[01:07:30] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, I was actually walking through Penn Station the other day on my way home and I heard nothing's going to change my love for you. You said Big Glenn. Is that you? Oh, my God. Lyrics impact. They're live fans.
[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_07] Oh, not live. Oh, are you so far?
[01:07:45] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. No showmance content here, Chappelle. No lime stuff after they were such a big part of the one thousandth episode.
[01:07:50] [SPEAKER_07] Which is strange. It's very strange. They didn't lean into the Drew and Melody's showmance either, because, you know, when they show her leave the house, I really thought they were going to show that slow motion. You know, she opens the door and slow motion runs back. You win this for me. Win this for me. They didn't even show it. And I'm thinking this is not the big brother. I know the big brother. I know would have spent at least 20 minutes on Rome ruining lyrics game by walking out and being like, no matter what she says, she's in love with me. We're good. She's not only flirting with y'all for the game. Peace. So, yeah, they completely ignored.
[01:08:20] [SPEAKER_07] It's kind of weird. But you know what? We did spend a lot of Unlocked on Lyric and Rome. So maybe we already exhausted all of it.
[01:08:28] [SPEAKER_05] Also, of course, there is a one and only answer to this question of who should play the big brother house from Magic Mac. The obvious Jacob Jones. We need air in the air, Chappelle, in the big brother house. Jacob Jones asked what's supposed to be here with us tonight. Right.
[01:08:42] [SPEAKER_07] If he can't even show up for the recap of the recap episode, how is he going to perform in the big brother house?
[01:08:47] [SPEAKER_05] From what I've been told, he had technical difficulties. OK, maybe his house got struck by lightning the way that Kite did in the final H.O.H. competition.
[01:08:54] [SPEAKER_07] We have to teach people how to we have to teach people how to start electricity by standing up on this thing and walking backwards. We get back in time. But this is with Ben Franklin. We have to we have to we have to teach him.
[01:09:05] [SPEAKER_05] This is a little bit of a throwback, though. I feel like the last time we saw this type of competition as part one of the final H.O.H. was like Big Brother 16.
[01:09:13] [SPEAKER_07] Oh, who was on that on that on that wheel?
[01:09:16] [SPEAKER_05] That was that was like Cody. I remember Cody and Victoria and Derek like hanging on to like a hang glider. OK, yeah. Something like that. I think they also Big Brother 15. I don't know if this was the final H.O.H., but they had one where it was like bull in a China shop where they were like grabbing onto something and walking on a rolling log. I think this is a rare endurance comp that we see.
[01:09:37] [SPEAKER_07] Right. I like the one where they hold onto the thing and it smacks them into the wall. Like that's my favorite one. Obviously. Yeah, we didn't get the discs this season. We didn't get it. I like it. You're like, yeah, the one that goes around in circles and you just keep spinning. But also like the one I think there was one of the final H.O.H. I can't remember which season it was where it just lifts you out of like the water or something like that. It just slaps into the wall and it does it again. Yeah. Bring back the Big Brother I love. I think I think we were a little harsh on the show when they called the sword thing, the pressure cooker.
[01:10:05] [SPEAKER_07] But it really did last 18,000 years like a pressure cooker would. Maybe this is giving us a new feel for older Big Brother stuff that we've seen before. It's the open era of Big Brother.
[01:10:14] [SPEAKER_05] Sort of. But then also like we didn't have a Yankee swap this season. No, we didn't. Outside of the wall and this pressure cooker, we didn't have like another endurance comp like we usually do in the jury phase. It's like it was interesting because the not to say the entire, you know, scheme prior to this, but it certainly was advertised to us in the preseason of Big Brother 28. Like we're going to go do twists from previous seasons or twists on challenges from previous seasons. We didn't do that much at the end of the day.
[01:10:43] [SPEAKER_05] Or if they if they were, they were more so copy paste than they were. I added my own flair to it.
[01:10:48] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah, they straight lied to us. We were in the first weeks of this show talking about, OK, they're going back in time. They're going to go back to time. The Big Brother moments, you know, we could really highlight some of the and that would have been amazing, especially considering we were creeping up on this momentous episode, you know, this season. And they did not do that. And I really wish we had used our time travel mechanism to go and highlight things that happened during the summer. It's very much like a this week in Big Brother history that we could have done because the show is on during this time every year.
[01:11:18] [SPEAKER_07] So you could have gone back to Keisha's birthday because we celebrated it outside the house. I don't know what they were doing inside. The same thing with Rockstar's daughter's birthday. Another birthday that we were going to celebrate these things. The challenge of the week could have been something like that. You know, whatever big fights we had in there. You know, I don't want to outline too many of them because a lot of them are problematic. But you know what I'm saying? There was things you could go back to the highlight that I think were big moments in Big Brother history that we didn't really maximize our year, our anniversary year, I guess I should
[01:11:47] [SPEAKER_07] call it, to like, you know, to highlight the things that got to got us this far. I don't know. I feel like we just kind of left a lot of money on the table.
[01:11:55] [SPEAKER_05] Well, I don't want to leave any money on the table talking about this episode, Chappelle. Do you have anything else you want to say about this episode proper? Do you want to get into some spoilers from the live feeds and then talk a little bit more about how we anticipate the finale is going to shake out with our final three? But anything else from the recap episode specifically you want to highlight? I always love the crying in the diary room.
[01:12:13] [SPEAKER_07] I always love it. You know, you can tell. You can tell sometimes when the contestants have been crying in the diary room despite trying to push through their lines. Mike, what are you doing? And so I like seeing, you know, the things that they're actually crying about, right? Like Devin trying to hold it together, clearly thinking about Jack and Juju and what it would be like to bring all this money back to his family. Drew crying several different times about Melody and different things in the game. I love it. I love those kind of things. And then we also saw Chuck and he was there as well.
[01:12:42] [SPEAKER_05] I did love the Chuck clip of him in the diary room saying, I almost cried as the end point of everyone actually crying. Chuck almost gave us something.
[01:12:52] [SPEAKER_07] And it, and that's, that's, that's all I can say.
[01:12:55] [SPEAKER_05] He also might become, I think the super, I think we'll be able to tell who the super fans are next season by the amount of times that they reference, like it's Chuck time. Cause that's like, this is like the big brother 28 iceberg, right? I think surface level is the Haley bad week stuff. Chuck's a couple levels deep.
[01:13:11] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. You got to know who the real fans are. Uh, I don't like sometimes sometimes some things just need to be left in the past though. It's Chuck time. That, that seems like it might be timeless.

[01:14:52] [SPEAKER_05] All right. Well, it's time that we move on to talking about, of course, part one of the Big Brother 28 final HOH started on the episode. But for us, they decided to get the weekend all cleared out for everyone by playing both parts of the final HOH. If you do not intend to learn who those people are who will be competing in part three, tune out now. Wait until Thursday.
[01:15:17] [SPEAKER_05] Again, there's no episode until Thursday, 8 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Central live. Check it all out. Until then, I saw I was trying to look for the music, Chappelle. I don't believe we have the music. I have this thing called Feeding the Ducks.
[01:15:35] [SPEAKER_07] Hold on. Okay. Hold on. I'll come out to this motherfucking check, man. You know what? It's Chuck time.
[01:16:02] [SPEAKER_05] This is the last, by the way, spoiler music of this season.
[01:16:06] [SPEAKER_07] This is my favorite thing ever. And Scott, if you edit that out, I will quit. I will quit this job.
[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_05] Chappelle, this is the theme I was going to say. I should have done. Hold on. Let's see. Yeah, do it again.
[01:16:17] [SPEAKER_07] Do it again.
[01:16:22] [SPEAKER_05] Comes and goes. Ed flows. Nobody knows when I wash my sheets last.
[01:16:30] Okay.
[01:16:32] [SPEAKER_05] Get into the final HOH. Oh, my God. We're at 1230, by the way, on the East Coast. Just in case you wanted a time check on my Saturday at this point. So, part one of the final HOH, endurance. And as we saw on the episode, one of the reasons why Drew kept Devin's in the game was because he made the same proposition to both of the icons.
[01:16:57] [SPEAKER_05] If I keep you, would you throw the final HOH part one to me? Dee said no. Devin said yes. Dee, you always say yes. You can bounce checks in the big brother house. But maybe she thought she was already safe. And so, I guess the question is, Chappelle, did Devin's throw part one of the final HOH to Drew? Who ended up taking home the victory here? Who walked out of the rain, soaked yet happy?
[01:17:25] [SPEAKER_05] Taylor won the part one of the HOH? Taylor won part one of the final HOH. Yes, I believe. Drama. I believe Devin's was not able to fulfill his promise to Drew because he was out first. There's been some talk about how I think Drew had some sort of injury to his leg. I know he was working it out with a foam roller beforehand. And so, you know, it happens. And then Devin's dropped out soon afterwards.
[01:17:54] [SPEAKER_05] And so, look at this. Coming from someone who had only won a veto prior to, what, five or six days ago. Now Taylor has won the final four HOH and a guaranteed spot to compete in part three.
[01:18:08] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah. I've talked about this before, but there have been a lot of just kind of off-base comparisons to Taylor to Ashley from last season. It's like, oh, yeah, she's playing an Ashley game. No, she's not. She's like Ashley. She's not. But she has found herself in the same exact spot as Ashley. Ashley was in a, you must win this competition in order to win the game position. There was no way that she was going to make it to the final two with Morgan and beat her.
[01:18:34] [SPEAKER_07] And Morgan had not quite decided if she was going to take Ashley with her or not anyway. So even as she somehow got dragged there, she was probably going to lose. She needed to make sure she cut Morgan. And it looked like Ashley did not stand a chance. If you think back to that HOH competition, we saw Vince's meltdown in front of America happening. Just, you know, it's kind of like a slow moving train wreck. Now, this time around, Taylor wins the first part.
[01:18:59] [SPEAKER_07] And now she gets to sit pretty and decide who she's even going to be up against to decide if they can cut Devin's or they can cut Drew. But we will never know until we find out who wins the third part of the HOH.
[01:19:10] [SPEAKER_05] So let's go to part two, which ended up happening the next day. There's been a lot of talk about this. The last time we had a Thursday finale, I think was Big Brother 25, where they were stretching that thing out. They saw the one double O and said, we are getting to that no matter what it takes. Otherwise, we've gone to the Sunday finales, which are obviously a lot quicker. You know, especially again, when there's really nothing to do with the final three. For obvious reasons, this time they couldn't do it on Sunday because of the VMAs.
[01:19:38] [SPEAKER_05] And as was indicated tonight, they would still be going with the finale at this point if they had aired it at this time. And then Wednesday is Survivor. And I don't think they want to necessarily, though they should, they should, they really should have Chappelle. Like just do the 90 minute Big Brother finale after the 90 minute Survivor episode. This has happened many times before, but they want to stick it on Thursday at the 8 p.m. hour. So they ran part two of the HOH, Drew versus Devin's. Father versus son. Which family member reigns supreme?
[01:20:09] [SPEAKER_07] Devin's won the final part of the HOH, the third part. So, I mean, part two. Yeah, part two. So he'll be going to the part three with Taylor. And this is fascinating because we know that Drew cut D because he wanted the best chance of being able to make it to the final two. I think I can honestly say that there's a 0% chance that Drew will not be in the final two of this season. He will be taking home at least $75,000.
[01:20:35] [SPEAKER_07] The question is, will he be taking on more than that against somebody like Taylor potentially? Or will he be losing handedly to Devin's? Because it is out of his hands. All he can do is wait and hope that Rick Devin's wins and takes him to the end. Or Taylor beats Devin's and takes him to the end. But regardless, Mike, he's going to the end.
[01:20:57] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, I mean, this was, in my opinion, the most interesting outcome. And honestly, I would say that looking at this season overall, as we're really starting to give it to Navel Gaze about it, since we're finally reaching the end of this 80-plus day experiment, like there have been so many interesting outcomes. Like even looking at the post-jury phase when it came to like veto wins and veto uses have been so fascinating.
[01:21:22] [SPEAKER_05] Even if we're just rewinding, obviously, final four, Drew was dead in the water unless he won that veto. Drew was dead in the water in the final five unless he won the veto. You know, Devin's was dead in the water at the final six and then Yash gets put up and then Drew has to make this decision. This was far and away the most interesting outcome because if Drew won part two, Devin's was done, right? The only intrigue would have been is Drew so emotionally swayed by Devin's that if he won part three, he would take him.
[01:21:51] [SPEAKER_05] And at this point, no. I think that Drew partially took Devin's because he's like, I'm doing this as a... There are emotional reasons, but this is also tactical. As well. So I think that having Drew actually be the one with the least amount of power in his hands, but the most locked in person for the final two is incredibly interesting because like you said, the way I see it, the way a lot of people see it is that if Devin's wins final HOH, he cuts Taylor.
[01:22:19] [SPEAKER_05] He's already said to everyone and their mother, quite literally Drew's mother, he's taking Drew to the end. He's honoring that deal. He wins in an absolute trounce, I believe. Yeah. If Taylor wins, she cuts Devin's. It's her and Drew in the final two that, yes, Drew has made some moves, but Taylor cut the biggest threat in the game. Baby, now we got a stew going on.
[01:22:42] [SPEAKER_07] right and I I for one I didn't I wasn't even sure that Drew was going to cut Devin's I thought that Drew he seemed like he was so annoyed at the idea of potentially losing to Taylor that he would rather bring Devin's there so that at least that way him and Devin's were going to be the top two winners of the season now you're right this is no longer in Drew's hands Devin's can cut Taylor and beat Drew probably can cut Drew and beat Taylor probably he's told everybody he's going to keep Drew
[01:23:10] [SPEAKER_07] he has no real reason not to keep Drew he can still beat him so there's no point in backstabbing him unless you want to do it for the laws you know sometimes the icons have done things for the laws throughout the season so I would be shocked completely but it doesn't it's not it's an unnecessary bridge to burn right cut Taylor you have no real ties to her keep Drew in the end you and your baby boy y'all get the money you know live happily after blah blah blah but Taylor Taylor has one move she cuts Devin's here as it tells all the time in big brother you see
[01:23:40] [SPEAKER_07] yourself sitting across from the clear front runner you have no choice but to cut them so that you can win the game and sometimes you'll get a lot of credit and goodwill for being the person who made the move though and from my perspective a lot of people have in the jury have been critical of Drew because he's been a vet pet the entire season it you know at the detriment of many of his allies Melody Barrett Matt the pipe queen you know they they don't make it so far into the game because a lot of the things that the vets were doing to
[01:24:08] [SPEAKER_07] undermine them in the game Drew was either okay with it or let it happen or didn't stand up against it or whatever the case may be and so for them to be holding that against Drew it would look really bad if he's not ever able to pull the trigger and do that one thing that they wanted to do but somebody else is able to come in and take that person out you know somebody has to slay the dragon and if Taylor gets credit for slaying that dragon she might be able to pull off this win now the question is which of Drew's many allies on the juries
[01:24:38] [SPEAKER_07] would be willing to say although I like Drew and I played closely with Drew he didn't make the move Taylor made the move and although I'm not closest to her I'm going to give her credit because right now it's looking like a toss-up
[01:24:52] [SPEAKER_05] right so let's do a little bit of jury jeopardy here and again I will go back to what I said before and that the way we map things out on paper it might be completely different when the keys actually hit the box that this might be after the round table especially there is a consensus agreement on like if so-and-so is at the end then therefore we're all voting for this person or we're all not voting for this person but the way we're I'm seeing it right now Lala is a locked in vote for Taylor yep I think if Taylor votes out
[01:25:22] [SPEAKER_05] Devin's I think Yash would vote for Taylor I think that Yash's expressions about Drew in the previous episode it's kind of along the lines of like I gotta hand it to this kid but I think it was more so a like if this was him up against someone I really did not like then I would give it to him because I respect his gameplay over maybe the the way I don't respect other people's gameplay and I think that he really enjoys Taylor as a person and I think he is someone who understands her game as well the way
[01:25:51] [SPEAKER_05] she certainly expressed it in this episode Barrett could theoretically be be a Taylor vote especially if she boots Devin's I do feel like Barrett feels a certain way about Drew that might still be manifesting even a couple of weeks later he had a very complicated relationship with him and he keeps talking the most about how Taylor is a sleeper not in the way that maybe some fans regard her she is someone who has you know been very purposeful in what
[01:26:20] [SPEAKER_05] she does even if she hasn't had a lot of power and if I'm Barrett and I look at okay here's somebody who had to kind of lie in wait until they got into power and then they made their move and went for the jugular that's low-key what Barrett attempted to do on his HOH and I think he would see that in her so I would imagine he would be leaning towards Taylor on the other side Melody I think is a locked-in vote for Drew I think any suspicions of whether or not she'd be angry at him for the entire game went out the window with the way she's been
[01:26:50] [SPEAKER_05] regarding him in her exit press D very obviously a vote for Drew especially if Taylor votes out Devens he's going to be a vote for Drew and so theoretically it all come down to answer her mouth herself Angela Murray good point you
[01:27:07] [SPEAKER_07] know before tonight I would probably say like Angela's probably gonna go with Drew but we saw how she acted in the jury segment she really was hoping that Drew would be the one to follow her into the jury she gets in a public beef with Melody as well which is you know various of a very big Drew supporter in a lot of people's eyes and so I could definitely see this coming down to Angela and uh maybe Angela says well Taylor made the big move Angela is a big big brother fan right so she would respect the move but again we've seen Angela say some wild stuff on the jury remember she was
[01:27:35] [SPEAKER_07] like trying to make a case against Chelsea for some reason you know I mean don't get I get it you're friends with MJ but let's be for real and so um so it's hard to really predict what she would do I also think honestly I know Melody's been talking a big game in her exit press but I don't know I think when she comes in and she hugs Drew and she says win this for me win this for us and he goes to the end with and he doesn't cut Devin's I could just see if her ebbs
[01:28:03] [SPEAKER_07] stopped flowing you know I'm saying I
[01:28:06] [SPEAKER_05] don't know I feel like he still has the move of cutting D that I think you know is is still something that he can speak to I mean it also depends on the final speech as well and it's something it's a good point that actually Brady brought up in the chat I'm trying to find at the comment but it's actually pronounced Brody apologies yes sorry I said about that Brody uh but Barrett did say tonight I could see voting for Drew as the winner of Big Brother 28 if he's able to own his game now the tough
[01:28:35] [SPEAKER_05] thing is as you said if there is enough of a stigma against him of like you were a vet pet and you weren't able to cut Daddy Devons at the end that could be working against him but I've seen him practice his speech a little bit on the feeds and if he's able to vocalize it in a certain way it could be enough for somebody like Barrett to be like okay there is intentionality there enough and you were active enough if not overly active in your gameplay to give you my
[01:29:00] [SPEAKER_07] vote yeah and I think the issue I'm having with Drew the most is that I don't think he has a lot of advocates on the jury like I think they're gonna be I think they're easily swayed like for
[01:29:09] [SPEAKER_05] instance I don't know I don't know if Melody is gonna want to push for Drew after everything that went down now
[01:29:13] [SPEAKER_07] she's probably not like and you think Yasha's gonna hear her no Yasha's gonna push back even further against that right same thing with Lala Lala's probably been working on Angela this entire time not so much to say like oh Taylor should win but definitely that Drew should not win right there's a reason why you know Angela who probably should be at least at the very least like open to Drew seems like she's very anti Drew in the jury house so I don't know I think in like if you have Angela I mean I think what is this is that the people who vote for Taylor
[01:29:41] [SPEAKER_07] will be willing to push harder I think that D is gonna come in at the last second she's not gonna have that much time to work on those people Devin's is coming in at the final at the final three if that situation does come up so he's not gonna have any time he's coming in just to vote and so yeah the other ones they're gonna be fighting they're gonna be pushing they're gonna be anti Drew anti icons and they might just let the power of persuasion take over and maybe shift some hearts and minds a little bit I could see it
[01:30:10] [SPEAKER_07] going either way and I think that's the most fun version of Big Brother and so yeah although I would love to see Rick Devin's win and bring the money home to Jack and Juju such a such a sweet
[01:30:20] [SPEAKER_05] segment at the opening of the episode to like tell how much I think he was speaking from the heart you could really tell how much this means him and yeah we forget about the fact that like again almost a decade ago they freaking time traveled back to it like he got so close and was one challenge away from a life changing amount of money and that he has a chance to quite literally rewrite history here it would be an incredible
[01:30:41] [SPEAKER_07] moment comma but the more entertaining Big Brother moment yeah it's not even close it's not even close yep it's not even close the same way Morgan beating Vince last year would have been fine Morgan actually would have been fine cool ending you know strong ending but the the amount of adrenaline that is rushing through your you know your veins when you see Ashley beat Vince in that in that last day choice then she goes on and beats Morgan and she cuts Morgan and then she's like what is she gonna
[01:31:10] [SPEAKER_07] say what's her speech gonna be like and then she remembers she reminds everybody that she's a lawyer and so she's gonna of course have a good speech you know like those are the moments that I think we really live for in Big Brother history and so you know like I said Devin's because I like the guy a lot Taylor for the plot you know like listen give us a give us a good ending to this season I think that's a good ending to the season let him fight it out
[01:31:32] [SPEAKER_05] completely completely agree I mean like the fact that we're talking about this though like I think we need to relish this yeah it is so incredibly rare that each of the final three has like a possible scenario where they could walk away with seven hundred fifty thousand dollars that now we have found the exact universe where if Taylor wins and cuts Devin's then it could feasibly in theory be a toss-up that it's not one person
[01:31:59] [SPEAKER_05] completely dead in the water no matter what this is it's this is really fun this is so like I will say overall again because I've been looking back on this season and I absolutely understand if people have misgivings if you didn't like certain players certain moves etc but like just thinking about everything that went down over the course of this season looking at these final three specifically you know I was looking at the jury phase and the amount of clutch genes that live
[01:32:27] [SPEAKER_05] within all three of these people is regard damn ridiculous where you have okay so final nine Devin's has to win blockbuster does final eight Devin's has to win blockbuster does final seven we have Drew has to win veto he does final six Devin's has to win veto he does final five Drew has to win veto he does final four Taylor has to win HOH or veto she does final three feasibly Devin's or
[01:32:54] [SPEAKER_05] Taylor has to win HOH and they do and they could go on to win we have had such remarkable rolls of the dice over the course of this season we have been just stacking high with metaphoric chips at the craps table that is big brother 28 and again I understand moments where people have had their own ebbs and flows perhaps of thoughts on these house guests and the season overall but big brother was really big brothering over the course of this season for better or for worse and it makes me so damn happy to get to watch
[01:33:24] [SPEAKER_05] and cover this show oh my god it was so
[01:33:26] [SPEAKER_07] much fun I saw somebody calling the season mid and I just can't get I can't get with that I just I think that every every week there was crazy stuff happening whether it was good for the game or not you know it was just stuff that was we were just dealing with stuff all the time like and especially if you were a feeder oh my god you know like the the week where we thought Drew had a coin flip that we that didn't exist you know we were all mad or not not mad or all the things right I will I still say Angela winning that blockbuster and sending Kamu home was
[01:33:55] [SPEAKER_07] crazy oh you know like we were where were you when the wrong blind side happened where were you when uh the the Jason's uh tea party you know happened or whatever like what what are you talking about so many moments in this season and so yeah I look I can quibble there are definitely things that I would love to have changed yeah but I mean this is big brother we've had some awful seasons this I wouldn't say this is awful by any stretch of imagination permission to speak
[01:34:18] [SPEAKER_05] freely go ahead I I feel like from a pure gameplay perspective was Drew the most interesting player this season hmm uh yeah
[01:34:31] [SPEAKER_07] I'd say so I'd say so for sure right I think a lot of people's past is very straightforward right you're with your alliance and they trust you and then you kind of fall off you lose a couple allies along the way but you're you're playing a pretty straightforward game Drew was everywhere he was all across that house um he was making uh friends he was making enemies um his alliance was turning on him left and right he doesn't even realize how many times he would have gone home he did save himself multiple times using competition wins um he got in a a show man's that was kind of a no man's but
[01:35:01] [SPEAKER_07] still somehow turned into a show man's even though it never got physical but the outside people took it like the tick tock world has latched onto that he's gonna come out of that house to like millions of fans that he doesn't even know why and he's probably still not gonna know why because again nothing happened and so yeah for him to have all of that right he kind of lived the big brother super fan dream what what did he not do yeah I mean
[01:35:22] [SPEAKER_05] I think I mean he is I think he is the most active game player this season now listen that is a very loaded term it doesn't necessarily mean good active in fact again the way he was coming across shady as shit sometimes oftentimes got him in in trouble got him on the block certainly got him in trouble a number of times but I just look back to like again the end game especially where we really see him talking about being this middleman person come to fruition we're like he is the deciding vote in the yosh eviction
[01:35:50] [SPEAKER_05] he's the deciding vote in the final four you know I think that these are this final four decision is is one of the most interestingly discussed end game decisions I've experienced in a while just from all the pros and cons that were being weighed in the risk versus reward and how is it going to immediately blow up in Drew's face as we saw or could this be something that nets him $750,000 at the end of the day I just feel like looking at things from his perspective and seeing again the number of ways that he's been pulled it has always been pulled over to the icon side for both emotional and strategic
[01:36:20] [SPEAKER_05] reasons there's always been something to talk about with this kid but not to say that I thought you know D and Devin's both incredibly active even if they were making messes for themselves I thought that Taylor was incredibly active when she was in power trying to find ways to scramble from the bottom I even feel like someone like Kamu was incredibly active Haley was active when she was in power as well like I think that we've just seen such an interesting variance is a good way to put it a variance I think in
[01:36:47] [SPEAKER_05] terms of gameplay styles but everyone was doing so much maybe to Angela's protest stations there was a lot going on and I think that people like Drew were the ones that that kept sort of thrumming that along with his decisions and I think certainly stirring the waters of social media with the choices that were being made Yash is another great example as
[01:37:10] [SPEAKER_07] well yeah I think even Drew's strategy was interesting you know because at first glance you're like why would you want to cozy up to the vets they won the game before you know very easy to be like there's a big there's big targets on them why would you want these people who've played these games before to do well they're going to get advantages all the other stuff but we saw what happens when you didn't do that right you on the opposite side of those people and then you end up going out where he didn't go out so it's kind of like a divisive strategy as well right like you would want him to target the vets but Mike we've watched this show so many times since when has target the vet ever worked
[01:37:40] [SPEAKER_07] out for anybody you know like who who won because they targeted the vets early nope nobody nobody you know it's like you kind of you have to ride the wave a little bit and so it's it's a divisive strategy he's a divisive character but you can't say it was boring you know Drew was doing a lot of stuff in the house and it made you feel something and so you know like I said I think your mileage may vary for sure but but I don't think you can say that he wasn't
[01:38:05] [SPEAKER_05] interesting yeah I completely agree and I think everyone was making waves and that's what made the season so interesting as well and I think again we should count ourselves lucky for having some of this stuff because again we can look back at as far as big brother 25 when the waters were still and stagged and I feel like these past three seasons especially have just caused waves after waves after waves and again like you said depending on your personal investment in these people your mileage can absolutely vary as to whether you like
[01:38:34] [SPEAKER_05] the season or not as someone who likes to just sit back and watch the chaos ensue I had a very fun summer I don't
[01:38:41] [SPEAKER_07] know about you I was a good summer it was a good summer too long too long big brother what is this extra week we don't need that earlier let's wrap this up what are we doing or do like part two
[01:38:49] [SPEAKER_05] on like Tuesday you know like yeah now we're just sitting around as are they studying or not studying waiting for Thursday to come around this has also been an interesting discussion point Chappelle is that some people feel like Drew what Drew said one of the reasons why he wanted to keep Devin's in the game was because he thought part three was what it used to be until baby 19 which was the jurors said this statement fill in the blank did they say a or b and he said well D and Taylor are going
[01:39:17] [SPEAKER_05] to or Taylor's going to know that really well I need someone who could possibly beat Taylor in part three to take me to the end I want to pick Devin's and of course we know at least that that's not what they usually do nowadays it's more so kind of listing off stats of each of the jury members and you have to guess which one is the true or false statement but for all we know Chappelle in this season of apparent throwbacks we could go back to the scales of just us
[01:39:45] [SPEAKER_07] yeah I think I think I think production stepped in and told Devin's like hey don't listen to Drew I think I think they stepped in I think somebody had to make a call like hey because we could because you can't let Drew use that as a strategy either he can't just go lie into Devin's and be like no trust me it's that I promise that's not how the competition works so I think they did have to clear that up but oh for the like you said we don't know we have no clue what they're gonna do they could do anything and you know I can't wait to figure out how it goes I can't wait to see it I think the scales of just us were
[01:40:14] [SPEAKER_07] ridiculous but also led to some crazy moments in Big Brother history okay so yeah bring me more moments we want to keep this show going all right it's a parking lot show it's a dumb parking lot show but it's our dumb parking lot show
[01:40:26] [SPEAKER_05] exactly completely completely agree all right last thing I want to do Chappelle let's call our shot here this time four days from now who will be the winner of Big Brother 28 and who will be the winner of not America's favorite victim but America's favorite house guest damn I
[01:40:48] [SPEAKER_07] don't for for TV I would love the Taylor moment right that like I want that like the tense like the tense moment up to the final seconds right where we're reading the votes we're pulling out the keys I want that Taylor versus Drew maybe Taylor pulls it out I would love that I would love that comma but Rick Devin's been so clutch he's been so clutch when it mattered Jack and Juju are at home Becca's at home we're watching the family's gonna be there we're all gonna be
[01:41:16] [SPEAKER_07] hype it could it could be the Rick Devin show it's the most straightforward way but I guess that's what I see it going I think this is the Rick Devin show I think
[01:41:23] [SPEAKER_05] this is his season okay and who is he
[01:41:26] [SPEAKER_07] gonna win AFP as well no no I don't know who wins AFP I really don't have a good read on these things I voted for Saree people voted for Cameron you know I don't
[01:41:35] [SPEAKER_05] really ever know but at least then there were two leaders in the clubhouse that's also the interesting thing about this season when it comes to variants I think Terrence said it really well in a roundtable that like everybody has shooters from a fandom perspective and it also feels like there hasn't really been like a groundswell support behind a quote-unquote main character the way there was for someone like you know a Keanu the way there was for a Cameron from you know a different perspective even for like a Tucker to a certain extent even though he went out halfway through the game I'm going to imagine a top three
[01:42:04] [SPEAKER_05] of Drew Devin's and Yash I think the fact that like Yash got a shadow here Julie Chen Moonves said that Yash was going to win
[01:42:13] [SPEAKER_07] AFP I tried a whole segment and he wasn't in the like everybody else who were in this position they've been going I mean like you know but pipe queen got her moment too I'll give her that so maybe there's a pipe queen like outside chance of her getting a late 12 votes I really think they're like you know had Lala lasted longer she would have had a good chance because you know she had such high highs with the with the wall cop but no I have no clue like I said I've I haven't voted correctly for AFP in
[01:42:40] [SPEAKER_07] so long since Taylor Hale yeah all right
[01:42:45] [SPEAKER_05] so then let me I'll try to differ from yours uh since but even though again you know Devin's basically just has to win to win the game I will go with the most interesting scenario of Taylor cutting Devin's but I will say that Drew squeaks out the victory like five to two five to two and then I'll say Devin's wins America's favorite house guest oh yeah
[01:43:13] [SPEAKER_07] yeah yeah I don't see Devin's winning both the game and America's favorite I think that's only reserved for Taylor Hale you know I'm saying but I do think that um I do think that if he doesn't win the game I think he's got a good shot for AFP for sure yeah I mean listen
[01:43:27] [SPEAKER_05] I could honestly be I would not be surprised in the least if Taylor wins as well especially if she is able to vocalize the game that she was able to do to us in the diary room tonight and especially if she cuts Devin's that could really been be like a sword and a shield perhaps for $750,000 but just throw it out there and again the fact that there are multiple possibilities when we are usually walking into these things haggard starving for anything
[01:43:56] [SPEAKER_05] interesting we were we were in something good here at least in the last portion of Big Brother 28 yeah and I
[01:44:03] [SPEAKER_07] enjoyed it I enjoyed it so yeah I can't wait to see what happens apparently we don't have Big Brother again until Thursday until Thursday there's no
[01:44:11] [SPEAKER_05] Wednesday no Wednesday episode because we have a double premiere of Survivor and the Amazement so for all intents and purposes Chappelle this was the last regular episode of Big Brother 28 but you know when you and I get together it is anything but regular anything else you want to bring up I know you have the slop coming up in a couple days so I'm sure you'll have more uh parting thoughts on BB 28 but anything else you want to bring up right
[01:44:31] [SPEAKER_07] now well the slop and I also have YX loss with David Bloomberg every week we've been talking about why these people are losing but we have to talk about people losing and winning in the next week or so and so yeah it's going to be a supersized episode of that but no Mike this is this has been great it's been a great season like I said it's been uh it's been a fun one it's been divisive it's been uh like intense uh but it has never been boring I don't think and so um yeah and this this definitely wasn't boring either Mike they didn't give us much to work with but you know if anybody's gonna squeeze blood out of
[01:45:00] [SPEAKER_07] a turnip it's us listen we're gonna
[01:45:03] [SPEAKER_05] feed the ducks and the listeners as well with our ridiculous content so hopefully you all enjoyed it as well I am so intrigued to hear from all of you especially after the fact of like who's your dream roundtable host who's your dream uh musical guest to appear in the backyard what do you think is gonna happen in the final two scenario let us know your thoughts regardless we're all gonna be tuned in diligently Thursday night to see how it goes down afterwards I should hope I have interviews with the final three and
[01:45:32] [SPEAKER_05] America's favorite house guests of course if America's favorite house guest is one of the final three then we just have interviews with the top three in the past at least recent years I've done those right after the finale I don't know what the case is going to be this year but hopefully I'll have the chance to talk with D Devin's Taylor and or whoever wins America's favorite house guests otherwise got survivor stuff going on amazing race is coming up as well I call this the the CBS reality TV equinox Chappelle and so unfortunately we are a survivor an
[01:46:00] [SPEAKER_05] amazing race rising and big brother setting in this case and it's time it's
[01:46:05] [SPEAKER_07] time too much there's too much TV on you know the traders is on like Mike I know we do this but dear God we got to sleep to Terrence getting some rest and so will we and we hope that everybody will be back for the survivor coverage and other future things and Mike's game nights as well okay yeah thank you
[01:46:22] [SPEAKER_05] everyone for checking this out again this is a weird episode this is a weird podcast and I happy that everyone got to the weirdness that we had going on but we shall see what's to come our way who knows what's gonna happen in this finale to who's gonna show up what's gonna go down if any proposals are gonna happen who the hell knows at this point yeah no we don't know but we'll
[01:46:43] [SPEAKER_07] be here we'll be here to talk about it
[01:46:44] [SPEAKER_05] all to quote a gray man we're closer if we're looking to the future but we're further if we're looking to the past and while we always talk about comes and goes it's time that we go but thank you all for coming to check all this out we'll be back on Thursday covering the live finale of Big Brother 28 until then everybody take care bye bye
