Big Brother 28 finds the houseguests locked in a tense standoff as Taylor, Devens, and Drew battle it out in the final stages, all knowing their every move could decide the fate of the game. Hosted by Taran Armstrong with guest Maggie, this live feed update episode dives into the uncertainty of who’s really preparing for the crucial upcoming competition. The cast’s nerves are fraying, alliances are being put to the test, and with just three left in the game, every conversation seems packed with both strategy and tension.

Taylor has already won part 1 of the final HoH competition while Devens took part 2, setting up a big showdown for part 3 between these two. Strategic studying becomes a point of contention, as Devens seems uncertain about what to expect in the final part, not putting in as much effort as Taylor. The house discussion also covers social game highlights, like Drew’s win-loss decisions and his relationship with other houseguests, Taylor’s subtle attempts at β€œrage baiting” Devens, debates about the advantages given to returning players, and speculation over who really owes loyalty to whom when it comes to jury votes. There’s even a bit of outside-the-box thinking about using the house calendar and M&M candies to study competition days, and questions about jury management once the finale arrives.

  • Maggie points out the potential impact of Taylor and Devens’ different approaches to studying for part 3 of the final HoH.
  • The hosts debate whether Drew’s decision to cut Dee hurt his chances and if he would have taken Devens to the end.
  • Taran and Maggie analyze Taylor’s jury arguments and how much being perceived as a strategic thinker matters.
  • The episode highlights Taylor’s attempts to provoke Devens and how that could influence the jury’s perception.
  • Maggie discusses the complicated relationship between Drew and Melody, and how jury dynamics might sway the final vote.

With all three finalists still in play and no one β€œdrawing dead,” the finale looks unpredictableβ€”will careful study and social finesse pay off, or will existing alliances and lingering resentments decide the winner? Tune in for the full episode and get every detail ahead of the climactic Big Brother 28 finale night!

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_03] Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update. For September 28, I'm your host, Taren Armstrong and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 83 in the house and they were talking. They were talking.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_01] Why are they still there, Taren?

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_03] Here's what we're gonna has Devin started studying? Is Taylor studying? There's been some like, oh, who's studying and how are they studying? There was an interesting conversation where things got a little bit heated. And aside from that, we'll just be moving forward through the day with me to talk through it is Maggie. How you doing, Maggie?

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01] Hi, Taren. I'm great. I am a little bit like these poor people just let them out of this house. Like, just let just end it for their sake, for our sake. You know, it's time. But yeah, there's still stuff to talk about. And we're barreling towards what will be a really interesting finale with like the potential to be like up until the very last vote is read thrilling. So yeah.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_03] Yes. Yes. All right. Well, as you all know, we are in the final three Taylor one part one Devins one part two, and they will be facing off in part three. The big controversy is that Devins still has a misunderstanding about what part three is. He has not been studying for part three, whereas Taylor has been studying for part three.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_03] So the one of the big questions on anyone who is still paying attention is will Devins start studying for this competition?

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00] Including Becca, who's on Twitter like, please, somebody, somebody show me him studying, please.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_03] So for what it's worth, Devins did spend a little bit of time in the morning doing something with his fingers, you know, like he was sitting there for a while and then was starting to count something. But it's hardly like the large amounts of time that Taylor has been studying in terms of what we've seen there.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_03] And it's hard to even know if it was actual studying or if he was just counting something else like it. I don't know.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01] Do you think that if Devins asked Drew to study with him, that Drew would help him study?

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_03] I think he would.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01] I know it's awful. I also, I will say this because I haven't been on since all of this happened. Like when Drew changed his mind and cut D, I was just completely devastated. Not because, of course, because I like love D and wanted D to have a shot to win this, but also because I really do feel like it just like is killing Drew's winner chances.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_01] And if I always, whenever I play, I want everybody to play as optimally as possible or whenever I play, whenever I watch, like I want everybody to play the most optimal game for them. Um, and I was just like, oh God, you know, and honestly, like when he lost part two, which I predicted would happen. I was like, I don't think he'll win part two against Devins when Taylor won part one. I was like, you know what?

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_01] Actually, this might be the best thing for him because I don't trust him that he wouldn't have taken Devins to the end and Cody himself or would himself. Like after all of this, after everything we've seen, like I genuinely don't trust that. And I think that Devins might've been able to get to him.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_03] That would have been, I think a more interesting way for Devins to get there for sure.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01] Totally. But like, I, I just wanted to be on record. Like I don't believe him. I don't believe him that he wouldn't have been swayed and that he would have cut Devins. I think, uh, I think that there is a huge possibility in these six days would have been very exciting if Devins was iced out to see him try and reel Drew back in rather than whatever the heck's been going on with them. You know, these past few days.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03] I do agree with that. I think that we would certainly have a more interesting, a potential final three, uh, scenario if there was, I mean, cause Devins tried to campaign. And Taylor and it fell completely flat. Like Taylor was just not hearing it. So, uh, it would be, we would have more to talk about if, uh, if there was any kind of open potential campaign.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01] Totally.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_03] So, uh, they get the phone today, uh, where they take pictures, videos, stuff like that. Um, I did then see, uh, there was like a post going around that like, oh, Taylor, Taylor is using the phone's calendar to study. Uh, like, whoa. And then some people were mad about it and some people were like, that's clever.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, but from what I can say, this is not actually true. Uh, there is a real screenshot of her holding the phone. That interaction is drew coming into the room with the phone, handing it to Taylor, showing her a couple pictures. Then she scrolls through the calendar and it's like, man, we've been here for so long and looks at it for like 30 seconds and then hands the phone back to drew. Like that was the whole interaction. Uh, so I, she's not using the calendar to study.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_01] I wish she was, I wish she had run away with it and locked herself in the bathroom and done it. But, uh, yeah, either way, like that is super smart. Like, and they do need like production does need to think about it with the calendar. And also like if there are old photos still on the phone, which I don't know if they are, there are like, if they clear the phone before they give them to them. Cause you can scroll up and see timestamps and dates on like on phones of photos.

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_01] So if there are old photos from like that, they previously took in the season, but I don't think that there are. Yeah.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I don't think that they, they go back. Cause I think that she was trying to scroll and see further back photos and it wasn't, they couldn't go too far.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_04] Mm hmm.

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_03] Um, but yeah, I mean, it would also be like, I mean, you know, it would be interesting to try to study on the phone, but it's a phone that everyone has access to. So if you were to like fill up the calendar with everything, be very easy to like get caught and allow other people to use it too, because everybody uses the phone all the time. Uh, so yeah, I think that it would be risky.

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. I think it's less like, okay, let me put in like the events in the calendar so I can look at them and more like now I have a visual, so it's easier for me. Whereas we've seen house guests make like full M and M calendars and things like that to study. Um, but like, honestly it is like having even the image of the calendar in your head. Like if you're able to remember, like we came in on the 12th, you know, what, and like go through and, and have the picture in your head.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_01] That would be really helpful. I think in terms of days and all of that. Uh, so even like having the glance at it and memorizing a couple like stopping points, but I don't even think that that's what was going on.

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_03] No, no. Uh, yeah. And it, it also like just depends, I think on how your memory works. Like I think for me, I'm, uh, I'm one of those people. I don't like picture things in my mind very much. So like, I don't think it would, I don't think it would really do much for me. Um, anyway, uh, so for the most part here, the status quo remains unchanged.

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_03] Um, you know, again, Devon's did some counting, but it didn't seem like it was like studying counting to me. Uh, but who knows? Um, they do have a conversation. Yeah, that was, I would say that is more likely.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, cause if you're counting days, if you're counting like events, you usually wouldn't use your hands normally. But again, that's different. People use different things. Um, but, uh, Devon's drew and Taylor all get together. They talk about the season. Um, and Devon's, uh, complains about never competing in any of the vetoes. Uh, and Drew is like, oh, me neither. I never got picked. I don't think I was drawn once.

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and then he's like, oh, Taylor, how many vetoes did you play in? And she's like, uh, I think, oh man, I don't even know my own stats. Hold on. And then proceeds to sort of like talk through all of the competitions that she's played in, including the blockbusters. So she's played in this many vetoes and this many blockbusters. Uh, and the way that she's talking it through, like she clearly knows all of the things.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_03] But I mean, this is the thing like hasn't quite applied it to be able to quickly recall stuff like that, which is the kind of stuff that is asked in part three. Um, now, you know, theoretically, uh, she could be intentionally slowing herself down in front of two people that she doesn't want to help study in any way.

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01] Um, and that is a Taylor thing to do.

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_03] Yes.

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_01] Like knowing what we know about her, that is a Taylor thing that she would be doing.

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_03] Exactly. And, uh, but like my, my bigger point, I think is Devins, who is sitting there watching her recall all of this information of still apparently is not like raising any red flags about. Cause he knows, I guess that she's, you know, thinking that it's a day's competition. Uh, and, uh, and so they talk through all, and this is such, it's such a relevant conversation to exactly the kinds of questions that are asked. Uh, because.

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_03] You know, uh, just knowing your stuff. I talked about this yesterday, like knowing yourself, practicing it, getting those pathways quicker is great. Uh, but for part three, especially it tends to be very player specific. It's like, you know, this player, you know, played in how many veto competitions or like, uh, this player, like, uh, you know, uh, their first, uh, HOH win came after their second blockbuster win.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and so a question like Taylor, how many vetoes did you play in is something maybe not for her own, but, but this is the thing you wouldn't have answer for your own thing. So when she's like, I don't know my own stats, it might imply that she is thinking about other people's stats. Uh, so again, we're digging through some crumbs here, but, uh, it's interesting.

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, no, and that's a really good point because she wouldn't be the one asking the question at the final three. The only people who did that she doesn't have to study for are her Devens and Drew.

[00:12:02] Mm-hmm.

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_01] Um, true.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_03] Interesting stuff. Later, they had another interesting conversation. Uh, and this one got, this is the one that gets a little bit heated. Um, because, uh, Devens is, uh, they're talking about the coaches season. Because they talk about their season, they talk about other seasons. They're talking about the coaches season, season 14. Um, and, uh, Drew is explaining how it worked.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_03] And Devens is like, uh, oh yeah, it's, I mean, that sounds like it's coming in as an icon. Uh, it was like only four of them and like, uh, they were such a big target. Like we were so screwed coming in as the icons. And, uh, and Drew was like, yeah, I was surprised you didn't get more like stuff to keep you safe. Uh, like, like Paul did. And Taylor's like, I mean, you, you got powers.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_03] And Devens is like, well, yeah, well, so did Mallory and Melody. Uh, and them, right? And Drew is like, yeah, yeah. And Paul got like three weeks of safety. Um, and Taylor's like, you got the first HOH. You had the pick of the litter. Uh, and Devens is like, what do you mean? She says first HOH gets pick of the litter, which means you get to pick who you want to work with. And that's why y'all were able to create a majority alliance. Uh, you know, a lot of like elitism, privilege, and power.

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, but, uh, and then Drew's like, yeah, but they picked like the weirdest people. She says, no, they didn't. They picked shields. Who? The cool kids. Who people would probably go after before them. Oh, yeah, yeah. I guess you're right. Yeah, y'all were smart. I see it. Like, uh, I know what I'm talking about.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and, uh, I, I just thought this was also funny because it genuinely did seem like Taylor understood the strategy better than Devens did, who actually did the strategy.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_04] Yes.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and which tracks because, again, like, uh, Devens was advised to throw the first HOH. Um, and doesn't under, doesn't, I think, I think he's, he eventually came to it. Uh, but, uh, but it, but it genuinely seemed like, again, though, he's talking to competition. So he has incentive to not admit to the fact that he was privileged with the power that he got.

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_03] Um, but it definitely seemed like he was genuinely a little bit surprised, uh, that, uh, that Taylor, at the, at the very least, that Taylor would know. All of this, uh, let alone, um, you know, whether or not he sort of understood it all himself.

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_01] And I want to say, like, Taylor, yes, exactly to what she's saying. Her saying this in front of Drew, who we've listened to him practice his speech and bring up, I did it all without a bribe. I did it all without a diamond power of veto. Like, Taylor saying all, like, Drew knows what, what she's saying and agrees and will use it in a final two speech against Devens.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01] Like, I, it's easy for people listening to this to be like, oh, Drew, such a suck up, whatever. Like, of course he's going to suck up. He needs Devens to take him. He needs to be building up Devens as much as possible. But Taylor's giving him a lot of additional ammunition and, like, looking into her psyche as well as, Drew's probably assuming Lala and Yash. These are the people that she's been talking with about all of this. Like, she's handing Drew over a really good argument against Devens in the final two.

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_01] And also a good argument kind of against her a little bit in the final two to say, I know that Devens had all of this power. Therefore, I connected with him as strongly as I did. Like, I was not unaware that he had every privilege coming in and that he would be impossible for us to get out early because he was given all of those privileges.

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_03] I agree. I mean, I think, I think in general, all three of them have been a bit too open with what happened during the season, what their strategies were. And it's given, you know, like, I mean, in this conversation, they're going to give Taylor a ton of information about what happened during the season, which will allow Taylor to seem even more knowledgeable.

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_03] Like, you can already see that, like, the way that she talked about her position in the season from, like, last week to this week has evolved with the information that she's gotten. And, like, she's able to package it in a better and better and more interesting and compelling way. And I think something similar is happening with Drew, who's learning, like, some of his pain points that he would have been evicted next to Taylor. That, like, hey, they did have all these powers.

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_03] And Devens, who, I mean, Devens is not really getting much, right? Like, there's not, not a lot more that Devens can get here. Um, but, uh.

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_01] I think that, like, though what she's saying, him getting combative about it, like, you can feel however you want to about it, but he should be listening to what she's saying. She's a vote on the jury. She has friends on the jury who are assuming, we're assuming are going to think the same way she does. And he should know that Drew can use that to his advantage and tug on some heartstrings from them to, like, flip some people over if he uses that argument.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_03] Well, I, which I guess is maybe a point in the other direction is that, like, he can get the, he is surprised, like, defensiveness out of the way in this conversation and be more prepared for it if the jury questions him in the final two. Uh, or it could go the other way. And because he's been defensive about it in the past, he's exasperated by the time the jury brings it up. Like, oh, what do you mean? Um, so, uh, so, we'll see. We'll see.

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_02] Today's episode is brought to you by Vinted. I think a lot of us have the same problem. The clothes in the closet that we keep saying we'll wear them again, but we never do. They're not bad. We just don't use them. And meanwhile, you're running out of space and not really doing anything about it. That's where Vinted comes in. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app that makes it easy to sell the clothes you're not wearing anymore and actually earn some money from them. They're not getting voted out of the closet. They're going to Redemption Island.

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_02] Vinted generates the prepaid shipping labels for you when you sell it. That's pretty much it. And here's the part that actually matters. There's no seller fees on Vinted. Whatever your item sells for, you keep all of it. Not most of it. All of it. I think that's the thing that changes how you look at your closet. Suddenly, that stack of shirts you haven't touched in two years isn't clutter. It's just unlisted.

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_02] And once you start listing on Vinted, it makes it a lot easier to refresh your wardrobe without spending much because you can put that money right back into finding pieces you'll actually wear. The app is free to download. Listing is quick and simple. And right now, there's free shipping in the U.S. for a limited time. Ready to clean out your closet and make some extra money? Download the Vinted app for free and start selling with no seller fees.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_02] You keep every dollar you earn and for a limited time, enjoy free shipping in the U.S. on Vinted.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03] So he does continue to be sort of defended. Like, you know, half the people that were nominated for power even didn't get a power. And we did have to win the second HOH as well. And, you know, the conversation continues. There are more moments like this. Okay.

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_00] We're talking about week two. Okay. All right.

[00:19:54] Yeah.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_00] It's insane. But I get why he was defensive.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_01] But, like, maybe we just, we listen, we learn, we figure out how to control our arguments in the jury questioning. That would be my...

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_03] Right. I mean, like, if this is how he plans to defend it in the jury, if they, I mean, it doesn't matter. The speeches don't even matter. The questions don't matter. But, like, I think it's a poor defense to say we had to win the second HOH. Like, that was... Okay. We were given the first HOH and we had a couple powers. But at least we were able to win the powers. And we also had to win the second HOH. It's like, ugh.

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_01] Also, like, how did you win the power? Because America voted for you and you had built-in fan bases? Or because you had to press your luck button? Like, that's not really that impressive.

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_03] I think the argument is that he managed to figure out the trick to the press your luck button.

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_01] Okay. All right.

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_03] Which I think is fair. Like, he figured that out. He was able to tell the... It got both of them powers if you don't subscribe to the conspiracy. And so, you know, it's... That's a valid argument. And at the very least would be a valid argument in the House where I don't think they would subscribe to the conspiracy. Sure. But...

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_01] And I'm not saying... I don't want people to twist my words here talking or... And think that I'm like... Oh, don't worry. They will. I know. But I think Devin's wins in a landslide if he's in the final. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's not what I'm saying. Like, I just do think that this is a red flag for him going into the final questioning that he should... Like, rather than being defensive here, he should be really taking in what she has to say and thinking about it because he's planning on evicting her and giving her a vote.

[00:21:36] So...

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I mean, it's... I mean, I said this yesterday and then still it happens. But like, we are talking through every possible scenario because there's nothing else to talk about. Just because we're talking about like, oh, this could be bad for Devin's in the jury doesn't mean that we're like, oh, RHAP says that Devin's is going to lose a jury vote. Like, what? Like, what? Come on. What are we doing here? So, they continue to talk.

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_03] This is a pain point for Taylor. She still does not believe that Yash let Drew win the veto. Given that Taylor plans to be sitting next to Drew in the final two and that Drew plans to talk about convincing Yash to throw the veto to him is one of his crowning achievements. The fact that Taylor doesn't even believe that it's true is probably not the greatest thing for her in the world. Again, not that speeches matter at all.

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03] They talk about the Tether Alliance and Devin's is like, yeah, it was just too late. I had already had a bunch of alliances by then. She's like, it was such a good idea, though. And she's right.

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_01] It was a good idea. It was.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03] It was. Yeah. I mean, and quite frankly, it was incredibly useful for Devin's. He, I mean, he does go on to say, like, I don't know where I'd be without that connection with Taylor and Lala because without that connection to Taylor, I believe Devin's goes up on the block that week. And he has to use the diamond power veto one week early. And who even knows who he targets that week?

[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_03] It's probably Taylor, I guess, actually, considering they put him on the block. He tries to target Taylor. Who else is on the block that week? It was Chuck and it was Haley. Haley. It was Barrett. But so it would have been it would have been Devin's instead of Chuck. He would have taken himself off the block and replaced himself with maybe Taylor. And then they would have tried to vote Taylor out. The blockbuster was the ball rolly one. Yeah. And Haley won that. So.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_01] But I do think she might have been in some danger because at that point Barrett was so good with so much of the house.

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I mean, Taylor, there's a good chance she leaves there, which was what we said at the time. Like the right move is to take the shot and hope because otherwise now you're here and he's in the final three. But but it was very dangerous for Taylor. And that was part of her reasoning, by the way. Like she was concerned that Devin's might have a power and that it could backfire. So very smartly making the conservative move there, even though at the time it felt like you got to take your shot.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_03] Yash, of course, has to take the shot the following week. It backfires on Kamu instead of her, which is obviously a much better outcome for her. But it did allow for them to like build the Moshpita lines. They threw the HOH to D, so on and so forth. But but but if he if he had been forced to use the Diamond Power Vito that week and then Yash still wins the following HOH. Well, well, which maybe he wouldn't have because they kind of threw it to Yash that week as well.

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_03] So there's a whole series of events that could go down. But either way, Devin certainly owes a bit of of gratitude to the Tethers Alliance, which kept him safe that week. They and they're what we're doing right now. They're doing they're talking through all of these scenarios. They're talking through all of the things in the game and and like talking about D and talking about what would have happened if if Drew had gone on the block.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_03] Like Taylor would have voted Drew out. Sorry, Drew in the double eviction.

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_00] And just so funny because Yash is still in the jury say and we would have kept him. We would have kept him. I know.

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_03] I know. And and then also like at the final four, Taylor thinks that like D was like kind of down to to go with her. And they talk about like the beginning of the game and Drew's like, what was the alliance that you guys had on the other side of the house?

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_03] And it wasn't really an official thing, which which is mostly true. I mean, I think it would have developed into a power structure. We called it Rome's empire. Right. And at the core of it was. Oh, no, it wasn't Lala's angels, was it?

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_01] No, Mama's angels.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_03] Mama's angels, which was Lala, Jason and Rome, which, you know, Taylor was pretty integrated into. But she was on the block the first week. So it was hard for her to be like fully in a power structure. And, you know, it's like, oh, well, what was the name of that alliance? Like, it's not that surprising they didn't have a name. They never once had power. Like they just got picked off.

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_03] It was four weeks in a row of the first four weeks of the game that the icons that Red Corner was in power. So like they got decimated before they could even lift their foot off the ground. And anybody that wasn't chosen to be in that alliance was just screwed in terms of making their own majority alliance. So then Taylor is like, like pressing some of Devin's buttons on purpose. She says this later.

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_03] She tells Drew that she was trying to rage bait him a bit. She's like, why? You know, why'd you go after Kama? Why would you do that? And Devin's like, he was the big, like, he's getting annoyed. He's like, he's the biggest threat. He was the biggest threat in the game. Yeah, he had to go. And it's like, wow. But I thought you were in an alliance with him. And he's like, why? We had another alliance. She's like, man, so many alliances. He's like, yeah, where were you?

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_03] I was in my pod.

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_01] And like, it really is at this point. Like, her rage baiting him. Like, there are no game implications for her. He's not taking her. She knows it. So what? Why not? You know, get your licking.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, why not? Why not? So that's really like, that's the majority of the conversation. Like I said, Taylor says afterwards that she was intentionally trying to just like rage bait him and have a little bit of fun. Um, and, uh, and you got that vibe too. Like she's kind of like smiling and giggly through the conversation as Devins gets more and more annoyed. Uh, and, um, and then the night continues.

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_03] And, uh, oh, the Drew and Devins have talked a bunch about like, um, Melody's vote and how like Drew, if it wasn't for Drew, Melody, like there were a couple of times when Melody survived because of Drew. Uh, and, and then later in the night, they're like, what exactly were those times? Like, um, well.

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_01] Lyric vote.

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_03] Lyric vote. Let me think about this. Because yes, I think the lyric vote is the one example, but, but the thing about the lyric vote is that kind of not, not necessarily, but part of the only, it's not the only reason. A huge part of the reason why Melody was on the block in the first place. Was Drew. Because Drew had ratted her out for flipping the Ashley vote.

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, and, and constantly was talking about how she was upset with the power structure and trying to build something. And so they were very concerned about her. So then when she didn't want to be on Devins' team during the HOH, it was confirmation of everything Drew was ratting her out about, which was a mistake on her end in the first place. But then when figuring out between Lyric and, uh, and Melody, sorry, this is the Devins, uh, putting her on the block situation.

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_03] Not the Haley, uh, putting her on the block situation. Um, but, uh, but, but, but the point being that like she was constantly put in these positions and then, uh, pitted against these sort of this power structure because of Drew ratting her out, uh, to the point where she was then on the block, uh, in a spot where she might leave over Lyric.

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_03] Um, so you could argue that Drew put her in the position and then also through his connections was able to be tangentially the reason she stayed. Although it's hard to really credit him for staying at all that week because he was about to leave. And so was Melody until like the last second when D was like, ah, maybe we should keep him. Um, so, uh, I don't know. I just think this narrative of like Drew is the reason Melody stuck around for so long.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_03] I don't necessarily agree with it. I think there were certainly moments where Drew helped Melody's game and Drew would admit himself that there were moments that Melody helped his game. Um, but, uh, you know, I think it's like so bizarre.

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_01] It's like the most bizarre game relationship that I've seen in the past, you know, five, six seasons. I, I can't think of anything more off the top of my head, but.

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_03] It's certainly not to the degree that I think it's being implied, which is like Melody owes Drew a vote because she wouldn't even be here if not for him. Like that's, come on.

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_01] Mm-hmm. I do think, I do think that she will get his vote if he does what he's planning to do, which is say, like, make a huge point in his speech that like Melody is the reason that he was able to get so far. I think that will earn her vote. Like, I, I think that even if she plans on going in being like, screw you, you didn't take out Devin's, you're a coward. I think if he stands up there and spends like 30 seconds giving her her flowers, that she would vote for him.

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_03] I think so. I mean, it's, you never know. You never know, but it definitely feels like it should be how it goes, at least according to the last time they were together in the house. Mm-hmm.

[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_01] Like, I think that that also like muddies the waters there a little bit because it's like, is Melody trying to establish herself as like different from Drew? Also the insinuation from Angela with that kind of is that like, there was some like romantic relationship going on there that made like, that Melody used her romantic relationship with Drew to stick up. Like, I just don't know.

[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I could not quite understand what point Angela was trying to make when it came to that. But I, it was also just like, I didn't analyze, I didn't like pause and make sure I was hearing every word. So I think I might've missed some stuff in the, in the fray.

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_01] I just like, don't know. I personally don't understand what that was all for and what it was about. And like, it was very hurtful to Melody clearly and would have been incredibly hurtful to me if I had just gotten evicted. And then like, somebody is saying stuff like that to me. So I, I'm sure that that complicates kind of her feelings over Drew, just like inherently it's going to,

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_01] if you're getting like yelled at and like humiliated in this public way over your relationship with this person.

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_03] And, and remember that in a Drew V Taylor vote, what I've been talking about a lot, at least is that like the votes that Drew is likely relying on are icons plus Melody, which means Melody voting with Angela and D and Devin's to vote for Drew. Uh, and that feels harder to do.

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_03] That's a harder vote coalition to get when there's a lot of tension there. Now this was like the moment she came back. There's a very real chance that they make up and that it's all fine. Um, and there's also a very real chance that Barrett is a pro Drew person on the jury. Uh, and that if Barrett is there, then she has one person voting with her on that side too, and that it doesn't matter that much. But, uh, but there's also a chance that it, that it doesn't go that way, that the, that they continue to hate each other and that at the round table,

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_03] they'll be yelling at each other. And the idea of Melody and Angela voting the same way feels very, very tough, very difficult to, uh, to sort of like, uh, put together.

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_01] But I also can see them like deciding independently who they're going to vote for and it not being like a coalition thing. Um, but I will say like, and, and this has been said over and over again, like Taylor and Ashley did not play similarly. They just have found themselves in a similar position. I hate that.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_03] There's so many repeats. I'm sorry. You said Ashley and I went back to first week, Ashley.

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, Ashley winner of BB 27.

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_01] Um, like they did not play similarly. They just have found themselves in a similar position right now where if they, they're in a position to win the final player, up the bigger player, come in clutch at the end after not winning a ton all season. But I, the problems that I am having right now, I see Taylor's story. I see how she can win.

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_01] My main reservation about if it will come to fruition is that Ashley was in the main power structure of that jury phase in the judges and had Rachel on the jury stomping for her. And Vince was, was in the judges, but had close relationships with everybody else on the jury. And he caught them and like betrayed them.

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_01] Whereas in this situation, Drew is in the main power structure. We'll have somebody like D stomping for him on the jury. And Taylor has like, it seems like up to this point, Yash has barely, you know, said anything good about Taylor. The only person that it seems like she would have really advocating for her in the jury is Lala, who Melody, when she came in was like your own allies told you not to talk game. So I do think that that's a harder uphill battle for her. I think she can still do it. That's not what I'm saying, but I am just like,

[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_01] I don't know that this is as cut and dry as people would make it seem. I do think it'll be a battle there at the end between them. Yeah.

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, it's, it's so like, I just want to keep reiterating this, that it can be so difficult to predict the jury, even with clips. Sometimes the clips are very misleading, even with exit interviews. Remember this time last year, Rachel was saying that, that Ashley was, I think she said that Ashley was a floater. Uh, and that, uh, that like, you know, that Vince was playing a great game, uh, in her exit interviews. And it was like, oh my God, is Rachel going to be pro Ashley or what?

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, because it doesn't seem like it in her exit interviews. Um, and you know, famously, uh, Corey and big brother 25 is in the house on his way out of the house, talking about how Matt is easily going to win this game, easily the best player. Then come voting time, he's voting for Jag over Matt. Um, like, you know, it's just, it's tough to predict. So yes, Yash is saying that Taylor is, you know, he's rating Taylor, one of the lowest ratings of the people left in the game.

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_03] Um, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's not a vote for her. And it's in like the way that they were, uh, I think Angela mentioned that like, they were talking about how the only person playing worse than Melody was Taylor, which seems to be the general consensus. Uh, Lala says in the jury segment, uh, I'm hoping that Taylor can win something to get some skin in the game. Meaning prior to winning anything, she had no chance.

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_03] They have never, they have not seen that she is winning final four HOH. They have not seen that if she's there, she's won final three HOH as well. Um, so those are the things that I think she's banking on to make, to ensure that she has the, at the very least argumentative support of Lala and Yash. Uh, the key vote of course is Barrett.

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_03] If she can get Barrett over, uh, overdrew, then with Barrett, she might be able to pull Melody. Uh, and that I think, I still think that's her winning path at this point. We've talked a lot about like, can she pull Angela? And I just, it's, it's possible. It's definitely possible. Angela's like, oh, I hope it's true. I hope it's true. But I'm pretty sure she did that with Chelsea too. Like, I hope it's Chelsea. And then Chelsea never came.

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, and, um, and with the...

[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_01] I don't see, yeah, I don't see Angela voting for Taylor only because Angela will want to prove that she had something to do with it. And Drew was in her alliance.

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, Angela might feel like, hey, I, I warned everyone. I said she had winner energy.

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_01] But she did the same thing about Drew. That's the thing. She was on Drew the whole time. Like, she literally in her, one of her votes, she says, I'm wearing my evil eye to ward off Drew. Like, it's, you know what I mean? Like, it's, she can say that about either of them. Like, Taylor has winner energy and Drew is the biggest threat to us in the game. And look at what he did. And if he's in the end and he's like, I knew that the icons would make it all the way to the end. I, I just, I, I'm not saying that she can't swing Angela. I don't know what Angela's thinking.

[00:39:54] [SPEAKER_01] I, I couldn't believe what she was saying to Melody last night. I thought that that was wild. So I, I can't act like I have any understanding of Angela. I think that in order for Drew to really get Barrett, and I do actually think, Taryn, that Barrett is one of the people who might base his vote on jury speeches. Like, I could see him being like, well, it just depends. And I think that if Drew is able to say, like, I, what, what he needs to do is be,

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_01] like, look at Taylor and look at the jury and say, like, I trapped her in this position. The only person that she wanted to be sitting next to less than me was Rick Devins. Therefore, I had to bring Rick Devins with me here. Like, there's no possible way that I should ever be sitting here with Taylor. And I weaseled my way to the end, you know, like the, the weasel thing. But I don't know that he will do that. Because then that's the way to take the power away from Taylor for getting rid of Devins. So.

[00:40:53] [SPEAKER_03] Well, I mean, he does plan to say, like, the reason he kept, he keeps, the reason he kept, made the decision to keep Devins was to guarantee himself a spot in the final two. It's not worded exactly the way that you're saying, but it's definitely something I think he, I think it's one of the main points he plans to make. Um, I think he should try to make the point as early as possible because I think otherwise he'll be fielding a lot of Devins questions.

[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and so, uh, but I, although I can, I say that the questions are all predetermined. So if he says it early, they'll still ask him the Devins question. He'll need to repeat himself.

[00:41:30] [SPEAKER_01] Mm-hmm.

[00:41:31] [SPEAKER_03] You know, is what it is. Um.

[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_01] It, it, it'll be, it'll be tight. I mean, I think that a lot of people will be really excited if Taylor has cut Devins. And I think that like, I don't know, it can go either way. I don't know.

[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_03] It truly can. Um, all right. Anything else to talk about Maggie?

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_01] Um, no, I think the fact that all three players are alive and no one is drawn dead here is so exciting going into a final three situation. And I, I'm like really looking forward to finale night. What my hope, it, it's like Devins, I think winning the season would represent the season the best.

[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_01] And I don't know if I mean that like completely complimentary, you know, like I think that like the icon winning the season, like that, that's kind of like what, you know, what we've been seeing. Um, and it would be a great win. Like his family, the episode last night, him talking about his family, like that got me. I was emotional when he was talking about that.

[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_01] I do think that Taylor winning that part three and fighting it out against Drew in the end would be so much more exciting for the last 45 minutes of the episode. Um, so I like last season when Ashley did it, it was one of the most thrilling finales I've sat through.

[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_01] So I, I think that we're either going to get a really exciting last 30 minutes of the episode or really sort of foregone conclusion last 30 minutes of the episode. Um, and it's, it's just pretty cool that we're, we're in this position. Yeah.

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. All right. Well, that is what we have for you then today. Uh, I will of course be back tomorrow at noon Eastern for the updates. Uh, once again, let you know if, if there's any kind of studying that happens via Devin's, um, and, uh, and if he realizes that he needs to start studying or anything like that.

[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and, uh, oh yes. Uh, people were asking in the chat during the conversation, um, between where they were talking through, uh, all of the stuff, the second conversation, the one that got a little heated. Uh, there was a moment where Devin's like mouth something to drew. Um, and, uh, to me, it's, I thought he was mouthing, uh, like, cause they were talking about like, like, like, oh, I'm your favorite person or like, I'm not your favorite person.

[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_03] And then he was like, like something like favorite person. Um, some people, uh, thought he was mouthing like, oh, I, I hate you. Uh, I, I'm not gonna lie. I don't, I'm not a lip reader. I'm not, uh, you know, uh, Brent from, uh, BB 23. Um, yeah.

[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_01] And you're also not Morgan from BB 27. Let's never forget. She's really good at reading lips. I'm also really bad at reading lips. And so Melody and drew constantly mouthing things to each other. I was always like, I can't get in on this. Somebody will tell me what was said. I can't, I can't figure this out.

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, I swear. I, I watched it a bunch of times and I could not figure out what he was saying. Uh, but I mean the, the point, the point, I mean, he was certainly mouthing something that was meant for only drew. Uh, uh, and he was annoyed at Taylor. So like the vibe was there regardless, obviously. Um, but, uh, you know, um, either way, um, or maybe there was a second one.

[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, I don't know. Uh, no, we'll figure it out. Um, either way, I'll be back tomorrow. Uh, at noon Eastern to update you. Uh, and then, um, tonight's the final round table, the final round table. Uh, and, uh, we'll, we'll do our final ratings, rankings, all kinds of fun stuff.

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_03] So, uh, I'll put up the survey after this podcast ends, uh, on, uh, Twitter and blue sky. And then, um, you know, uh, we'll, we'll keep moving forward through the season. Make sure you check out my Patreon, uh, especially as we head towards off season, tons of stuff coming up. Uh, Maggie, what do you got going on?

[00:46:07] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Um, I, you can find me on blue sky at Emma Morgan. You can find me on Tik TOK and Instagram at Emma Morgan underscore. Um, I've loved this season. I've had a lot of fun with it. It is so beyond time for it to be over though. Uh, everybody's bored. Everybody's getting stir crazy. The house guests, everybody watching, like let's wrap this puppy up. Can't wait for Thursday.

[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_03] All right. Well, thank you all so much for joining us here today and I will see all of you next time.
