BB28 Drew Deep Dive Part 1
Also available on YouTube!
Big Brother 28 is all about trust crumbling and paranoia spreading, and this episode takes you right inside Drewβs journey as the house shifts around him. Host Taran Armstrong sits down for a Strategy Deep Dive with Drew Campbell, getting into the gritty details of how Drew navigated shaky alliances and constant suspicion week after week.
Taran and Drew walk through big BB28 moments, like Dee winning the first HOH and setting up the Crossovers and Red Corner alliances, and why Drew always seemed just out of sync with the Iconsβ inner circle. They detail how alliance math kept shiftingβDrew and Barrett worried about being low on the totem pole, Kamu protecting Drew until the tides turned, and how a series of power moves and Veto twists left Drew fighting to survive. The episode also highlights the messy drama of block nominations, backdoor rumors, and how the Toolshed and FAP alliances shaped the vote each weekβeven as trust wore thin between longtime allies.
- Taran breaks down how Drewβs sarcastic humor and constant game talk made Angela and Dee doubt his loyalty early on.
- Drew explains the strategy behind attaching himself to bigger targets like Kamu and how being labeled a βmiddlemanβ impacted his standing.
- Details on pivotal votes: Dee and the Icons debate cutting Drew as a threat, only to flip and keep him last minute when new threats emerge from Red Corner and shifting social bonds.
- The hosts call out key moments like alliance leaks, the Diamond Power of Vetoβs sway, and how Drewβs underdog status rallied support among fans even as the house doubted him.
- Funny diary room moments and social slip-ups provide insight into the castβs personalities and vote chaos each week.
With the Iconsβ grip slipping and Drew barely surviving, the power structure gets more fragile by the day. Will Angela, Dee, and Devens regret saving Drew as a shield, or has a new target already emerged? Listen for the full step-by-step deep dive and relive every twist in Drewβs game.

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_02] Rob here getting you set up for what you're about to hear. Taryn has sat down for a ultra long deep dive with Drew Campbell and it is a six hour interview which you can watch uninterrupted on our YouTube channel here on the podcast version. We thought that a six hour podcast is a bit of a big podcast to put out so we're just breaking this up into two parts.
[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_02] So what you're about to hear is part one of Taryn's interview with Drew Campbell and then we are dropping immediately also the second half of this interview our deep dive with Drew Campbell Part 2. So look for part two of this podcast when you reach the three hour mark.
[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_04] Hello everyone and welcome to the Big Brother offseason and the first deep dive of the offseason. I'm here with Drew.
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_05] Drew Campbell I feel so incredibly lucky to be the first deep dive this season. We'll start off strong and then you know we'll get stronger once you get the better players in here.
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_04] Maybe, maybe. Also bring me back to an in-person deep dive. You're actually close enough that we were able to just link up here.
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_05] Oh yeah, I'm so excited. I mean I get to meet Taryn Armstrong, the author behind the mirror.
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_04] Truly, which I am advertising prominently. Although to be fair that is where they normally are.
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_05] I want it to be right here so like you could see it the whole time because I feel like you have to promote it. Also, I have no idea what I'm talking about. I've never written a book before.
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_04] You know, it wasn't that bad actually. Oh, okay. Maybe you can get there.
[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_05] Maybe, maybe I'll just stick to like hair routine videos or something, you know, like maybe I'll start with that and then get to the book later.
[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_04] Hair routine videos and then being on like four different reality shows. Yeah, exactly. How to get on. I watched the first episode of Wonka. I could not believe that they really did that whole thing just for like five seconds.
[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_05] Dude, we were in the casting process the whole time and like genuinely like there was a chance we're gonna go on. And then they came to like Temecula where I live and we're like, oh, there's no way they don't pick us open the candy bar empty. We're like, oh, um, is this like a prank? Like that's how it felt. I remember seeing a guy like in the corner because they handed him a bar and they're like, all right, this is the bond they open and like some super sketchy guy trench coat. He's like, here's the bond. And we're like, oh man, this is this is this has got to be it.
[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_05] Uh, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. But it was super fun. I mean, like I said before, like, I don't think anybody could open that bar the way I did. So that's why they needed me. So I felt super lucky. Yeah. I've not watched the rest of Wonka.
[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_04] I've watched like a couple of episodes. Yeah. Um, well, Drew, uh, you were also on beast games.
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_05] Yes, I was. I was on the first season of beast games. Um, so fun. Uh, you know, a thousand people were there. I made it to top 500. And most importantly, I got to quote Dr. Will in the show just to show people that I am actually a big brother fan season two winner, Dr. Will right at the end. He makes, uh, what do you do with the money? What do you do with the money? It's going to buy jet skis and gold chains. How to make sure that made it in there. How to, you know, represent the big brother community.
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_04] Yes. Uh, I guess cause there were a thousand people, but it started with 2000, right? Yeah. Technically you were top fourth, which is like, you know, that's roughly equivalent to like final four ish.
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_05] Hey man. Yeah. Right. Totally. You know what I mean? Like started with 2000 top 500. We could like round that up to top four for sure. Um, no, it was super fun. Um, it was crazy. We got to live in like the allegiance stadium for the first part. This is like old news. I feel like, but like living in the allegiance stadium and like Las Vegas, 2000 people, thousand people got cut and uh, yeah, it was super fun.
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03] Was that your first sort of reality show thing? Cause you're also in some like Jubilee videos.
[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_05] I did a lot of Jubilee videos. Um, I think it's just easy to be in like those types of things because I live in SoCal. So it's like, I'm like only an hour away from like LA and there's always something going on. Um, I did the Jubilee videos first and then I went, I don't think I ever was on. I was almost on prices, right? I want the group of friends that pick my friends, which was great. And then I think these games was first.
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_05] And then I did let's make a deal inspired by Miss Angela Murray. Um, and then I got to do that. Uh, America says show with a couple of my friends and, uh, then I ended up on big brother. So it all, it's all been super fun. So this is definitely like the biggest. Oh yeah. No, this is like, first of all, this is like my dream. Like people are like, Oh, he's a plant. Like he's been on other stuff. It's like, no, like my whole dreams is those eight years old.
[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_05] This is beyond big brother. You could ask my mom. I say it every day. I know the shit out of them. Are we glad to square? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I know the shit out of them about talking about big brother. So when I actually got the call, it was huge. I was like, Oh, thank God. Like I got to go and play. I fully expected to be out like in a week or two. Um, but I was like, at least I got to live in that house. Uh, ended up being top three. So I felt super, uh, blessed. Um, yeah. Yeah. So I love them.
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_04] You're going to continue to try out for as many shows as possible.
[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. I mean, it's like, um, I always say like, I love side quests and I like never do the main quest, which I'm not sure what the main quest is anymore. Um, but I'm always just trying to, uh, I just love adventures and, uh, reality shows are so fun. You get to meet so many cool people and it's just like, why not? You know what I mean? Like that was my dream. I like grew up watching like this silly cartoon called total drama Island. Um, and I think I've always just had that stuck in my brain of like,
[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_05] this is awesome. You know, growing up with the real world. Like I just always loved reality, especially with my mom learning how to speak English, watching, uh, watching reality TV. I think it's just always been something I've always been interested in. So I'm like, Hey man, like why not keep trying out her stuff? I love it.
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. All right. So big brother, was this your first time trying out for big brother?
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. I got super lucky. I got super lucky. I applied once and they called me. It was so it's a little different. Um, and another shows applying for it was traders. Um, I was going pretty far in the casting process for traders with my mom. Um, and they cut us and then they, I got brought over to the big brother and I was like, everything happens for a reason. So technically like my first time applying cause they were like, Hey, you should apply for this.
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_05] So they were like, I said that I did. And then, and they called me back. So I was super excited. I genuinely, everything happens for a reason.
[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_04] So, okay. So you get on big brother. Uh, you talked about some of the prep you did, obviously. Um, you mentioned earlier to me, you were, you were aware that your friend messaged all of us for the draft.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yes. Would you, I assume you've seen the clip. I did. It is like the best clip ever because you guys still didn't draft me first, which I love. Um, yeah, no, like beforehand, I obviously am a big fan of it. I've watched almost every single season. There's a couple I've missed. Um, but I watched a lot of the podcast because I was like, I need a day by day breakdown of what happens because, you know, you only see so much in the episodes.
[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_05] The real strategy is like what happens day by day. Um, I'm sure you can critique the way I played. Um, which I can't, I can't wait to hear because if I ever get a chance to play, I'd love to, uh, polish up a little bit, but, uh, a lot of hours, um, you know, like running on the treadmill, listening to the podcast, trying to learn from you guys. Um, maybe I shouldn't say that based on the way I played. You're like, no, uh, don't say that. Say you didn't watch anything, but, um, no, I loved it. And then in sequester, I got to read the book too, which was like a fun, like,
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_05] Oh, like the history of the show, a little freshen up on that. But, uh, yeah, tons of hours watching the pod. I loved it.
[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Yeah. Uh, I mentioned a lot that like the book is not, not meant to be like a guide for how to play. It's just like a history of the show, but there were some things that I think, uh, some people might've needed to see, like, you know, don't volunteer for the block.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, exactly. Like, why did he do that? Why did he do that? I don't think I've ever been more upset, um, for him applying, uh, like volunteering for the block because I don't think I'd ever put them up period. Um, I was like, cool. Like, it's probably like, uh, probably would have put D because she put me up the week before.
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_05] Or that would have been better for me, especially looking back on it. Now I'm seeing that she actually never trusted me to begin with. Um, but Devin's, you know, he volunteered. I think he was just excited. He wanted me to put up initially. So he got a veto and a blockbuster. And I was like, dude, you're crazy. What are you doing?
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. All right. So you've done a bunch of prep, you've listened to podcasts, you read the book, uh, you've talked to your friend. Um, I've seen some interviews that your friend did with Sharon, which are very fun. Uh, and he talked about how like the sort of the plan was going and work with the vets because you had an idea that the vets were going to be there. You had an idea that Angela might be one of the vets. Yep. Uh, so you studied up on Angela, I guess as much as you can study up on Angela. I mean, listen,
[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_05] I did say throughout most of my coverage about Angela, like the closer you are to Angela, the more danger you're in. Yeah, no, but I feel like if you're not with Angela, you're also in danger. So it's like, you know, I felt like watching her season and watching your pod on, on season 26 was like really interesting. Cause like she's a ride or die. Like she will go down with the ship. So I was like, Angela is a great person to pick up. She'll defend you. At least I, I mean, she did. I got,
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_05] yeah, she was moments where she was definitely on my side. Um, outside of the game. I think she's a really good person too. She's also ride or die. She's crazy in a good way. We need people like that in the world. Um, but that was my plan initially going in. I was kind of inspired, um, by season 14 with Ian when he worked with like Dan and they did like the quack pack. So I was like, Oh, like I'll be the young kid. I'll go in with the vets. I can learn a lot from them, especially because survivor players, like,
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_05] even though they're not familiar with big brother as much, they played games before Angela's played big brother before. I was like, there's no reason not to work with them. And if I ever get grouped in with them and people like, Oh, true's working with them, which I was, if the other side ever put us up, I do feel like my odds would have been better standing, staying sitting next to him on a mixture night because like they were just huge targets. So like I viewed them as people I could learn from and like the biggest shields in the house.
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_04] I mean, ultimately this is what we talk about all the time, you know, in every single, uh, season where there's new players and vets, either the vet or somebody working with the vets has won the season like every time. Yeah. Uh, and that, that stayed true this season as well. Um, so, uh, you know, it does, it does, you know, it is a good strategy. Now, obviously there comes a point at which you need to probably turn on that. Exactly. Um, but, uh,
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_04] it is what it is. So you go into the game and the vets come in, Angela's there. Uh, what are your thoughts? Uh, first of all, just like you get there, you see the cast, what are your initial impressions?
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_05] So initial impressions. So I'm, I come in way too hot, obviously. I'm so excited. I'm, I'm looking around hoping to see like another younger person. And I was like, okay, great. I am the youngest, youngest person in this house. Everyone's older by at least two years, which, you know, isn't a lot, but when you're 22 to 24, it's a, I think it's, there's a, there's a experience, there's a life age gap. Um, but I don't know why looking at everybody. I was like, I don't know if these people have seen the show.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_05] I was like, uh, maybe there's a little bit more of like, you know, more recruits than there are fans. Um, Barrett was somebody that I saw, talked to immediately. And I was like, he, I learned later that he had a podcast about Big Brother as well. But I was like, Hey, like he seems like a fan. My plan was to go and work with the vets and also work with the person who knew the show the best. And I felt like Barrett was that guy in the house. Besides me, I felt like me and him had a great understanding of the show. And Mallory's another person that I saw that was like, uh,
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_05] like a fan of the show. I feel like, I feel like fans, you know, you could, we could go back and forth and say like, they're the better players or they're the worst players because we have examples of both. Um, but I just wanted people who like understood the game and can like understand the strategy of it because some people did it. Um, but when Angela walked in, I was like, okay, well, there's two people in my family warned me about before my mom brought me right before I left. She sat me aside and she was like,
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_05] I want you to know if there's someone like Angela or someone like Rachel, like they will hate you. And, and, um, you should try your best to stay away from them. And I was like, oh, okay. And then day one, both of them walk in and I'm like, that's great. This is a, this is the start I was looking for for sure. But, um, but yeah, I do think Rachel probably would have targeted you. I do think so. Yeah. But then I watched BB unlocked and she was like, Drew is like, he liked, she liked me. That's true. I think that she,
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_04] she's, I feel like she likes you watching the show, but I feel like if she was like, I don't want to sabotage your relationship in an all-star season here. Yes. Now that you can know each other outside of this. I think if she met you on the show, like most of the people in that. Yes. I think she'd be like, I don't know. I don't know about Drew. So I honestly, everyone's pain about me when it comes to like liking me or not on the show is completely valid. I did not make it easy on anybody, especially the way I played. They're just like, I don't know where he's at, but, uh, I'm hoping.
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_05] If I ever get a chance to play again to, you know, play a little differently.
[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_04] Well, okay. I guess to, to comment on that, because it's not like there's one moment on the season where it's worth commenting on. Uh, I think that throughout most of the first half of the season, especially as, as we'll get to, uh, it felt like the storyline was, there's just doom looming over.
[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_04] Oh yeah. Like everyone doesn't trust him. And so, so many of the conversations were why, why doesn't anyone trust him when he's actually pretty loyal? He's actually probably one of the more loyal people. Um, and one of the things that we talked about was that like, you have a sense of humor that is very sarcastic. Yes. And like, uh, you know, you'll come in with like, so I'm going to put you on the block.
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. And smile. And then, and like, yeah. And so I, like, we wondered, like, I wonder if that's part of it. Like when are there not enough genuine moments where somebody feels like, okay, I actually don't feel comfortable with you.
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, and, um, and then on top of that, obviously the thing that was cited a lot was like, oh, he's, he's going around everywhere. He's talking to everyone, but like everyone is doing that. Right. So I think honestly it's, it was less that and more so just that, um, I think that there was like this perception of you, uh, of, you know, because of who you are and your age and the way that you talked.
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_05] And then that kind of like fed onto itself. And then, especially as we'll talk about a lot of the information you were bringing to them was negative. They didn't like it. Exactly. I should have, I should have brought like, Hey, like I had a really good combo with so-and-so like, I think we'll be good, but it was all like, yeah, so-and-so doesn't like you. They're going to put you up. And they're just like, why? Like this kid, every time we talk to this kid, it's like, I have a bad vibe. Exactly. Um, no, I'm really excited to watch this, this season's podcast with you guys.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_05] But I'm sure I'll learn a lot today. But, uh, a lot of my humor is very sarcastic and the way you would know I like you the most is I would like tease you the most. That's just kind of the way I grew up. Like me and my family give each other a hard time a lot. And that means we love each other. So the people I would tease the most, I feel like the people I like the most. And they were just like, it would just not be reciprocated.
[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_05] My humor is very unique in that aspect. So yeah, going, if I ever get another chance, uh, I'm going to, uh, be a little bit more of like a reassurance. Like, Hey, like, this is good. Like I got your back. No matter what. Not like, Hey man, if I win, you're screwed. And then they'll be like, is he serious? And, uh, I feel like a lot of people can't tell whether or not I'm joking. And that definitely, uh, three people for a loop, especially, uh, the first half of the game.
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_04] Week one, Angela comes in, Devin's comes in, D comes in. How, first of all, how do you feel about Devin's and D as players?
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_05] Like overall, or just seeing them come in? Yeah. First impression. I'm like, okay, well, these two are like powerhouses because like, I don't want to say like survivor players are better than big brother players, but when it comes to strategy, I feel like they have an edge and they understand they're way more cutthroat.
[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_05] So I was like, I'd rather be with them because they're going to be cutthroat, but also because they're cutthroat, I could be out at any moment. Um, so I was definitely playing with fire, but I, I hadn't watched survivor too much, but I do, I do recognize Devin's offer it. And then I had to ask Devin's like D like, why does she look familiar? She's like, Oh, she's a winner. And I was like, Oh, that's definitely somebody I need to align with. Cause I want to be a winner. Um, but coming into it, I knew like, okay, they're going to be here.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_05] For a while. Um, we could talk about like advantages and stuff, but like, I feel like usually like when there's returners or like icons, like they kind of get like a little leeway. I mean, we saw that with 19 with Paul and those like friendship bracelets, um, in the beginning, you know, they, they don't want their, their big prize people to go out early. So I was like, okay, if I, if I get in there with them, like, at least I'll have people for the time being.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_04] The a hundred percent, like, you know, it's genuinely the right call. Uh, and you know, I think there were people obviously who eventually were like, you know, drew, he just does what they say. He just, he won't turn on them. But that, but like, especially at the start of the game, it's very much the right call to want to work with them. Uh, because of exactly what you said, the, the producers are not going to let them.
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yeah. There's no way. Like not that early, you know what I mean? Um, but it makes me laugh a little bit that people like he does whatever they say. Um, I agree. I mean, I came in there playing like the little kid card, like being, Hey man, I'm the youngest person here. Like I'll do whatever you guys want. I just need a home. Um, but I think if, if it was anyone else, like if, if there were no icons, they're just like regular players, it would just be like, Oh, Drew's loyal to his alliance. But the fact that they're labeled icons was like, Oh, he's like their little,
[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_05] puppy dog. I mean, I even said it myself. You did. I'm like their baby. I'm like their baby. Yeah. I am like their little evil icon baby. Um, but that's kind of the vibe I wanted to go for was like, we have to protect Drew. Um, yeah. Kind of like what Cedric did, I think a little bit, he kind of had like baby boy Cedric, you know, like people were like trying to protect him. And then I almost went out week four, just like him.
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_04] And similarly people suspected that he wasn't really with them. Yeah. I think it's just the younger person thing, but, um, but yeah. Yes. Okay. So a couple of alliances formed pretty quickly. D gets the first HOH. Yes. Uh, which is very funny by the way, cause we, um, one of the things that like we looked at was, uh, like what advice was Devin's given? What is D talking about in the precinct? They're both talking about how they don't want to win the first HOH.
[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_04] And I'm like, who in the hell gave Devin's this advice? That's terrible. That's the one major thing when the first HOH and then they were literally forced to.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, no, exactly. I mean, I came in there if it was like, if they didn't get to, if we all got to play, I was definitely going to gun like 100% for that HOH because like usually the first HOH gets in that majority alliance. So it made me laugh when I saw that they were not into it. They're like, no, I don't want it, but I get it. They're going to be more big targets. But it's like, it'd be such an easy thing. If anyone else wanted, they'd be like, oh, well, those three have already played before. Let's just put all three of them on the block.
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_05] But, uh, but it made me, I don't know who gave them that info. Um, I love that they were forced to, um, shout out D for one of that first one. I ran up to her room immediately, already got bad looks. Like the second she won, I was like, okay, I'm going to go up there and talk to her. And, um, people are like, oh my God, Drew's playing the game already.
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_04] So necessary though. It's, uh, you know, um, I talked about this with Corey BB 25. Uh, he was very nearly put on the block in the first week by Riley. Uh, he just put in the effort, went up there. A lot of people are so like, I don't want to be seen. Like I'm playing the game.
[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_04] I don't want to be seen like I'm sucking up. Like I'm changing my, it doesn't matter. The first age of age just wants people to like them once you feel like they've got people. So the sooner you can get up there and talk to them as long as it's not weird, you know, like, and that was one of the things first night of feeds, Taylor and Jason are talking in the storage room and they're like, why in the hell is drew not an option? Like why didn't drew up? And Jason was like, cause he got up there and talked to her.
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_05] Oh, he said that. Well, I'm glad. Yeah. That was like, you could tell that my, my strategy the whole time was I would rather go home because I overplayed than underplayed. Cause I feel like you only have one shot at big brother. And I definitely overplayed a lot this season. 100%. Um, but I also didn't think, I felt like being the youngest person there, I was on borrowed time to begin with. I don't feel like I was probably sticking out like a sore throat, sore thumb.
[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_05] Um, and I didn't make it easier on myself by doing things I did, but I was like, I'd rather go home because I was a threat or like I was playing really hard. Cause then I can walk away going like, okay. I didn't just sit around and like get picked off because I like, wasn't playing. Like I wanted to play big brother. But that's so cool to hear that. Like Jason and Taylor were like, Oh, like, because he went out there and talked. I mean, that was my, I tried to be in the room first most of the time, because then you can, you're the first thought in their head.
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_05] And then they're comparing everyone else's to you. And I feel like if you're last, you're usually made up their mind though. That's how I felt. So I was like, if I get in there early, whether or not they go with what I said, like at least they're comparing me to others and not having mine compared to somebody else.
[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. A hundred percent. Uh, so you make an early bond with D, uh, and these four, these first like four days, not on feeds, feeds come up day four, night four ish. Um, so, uh, we didn't see these things on the feeds, but obviously the red corner is created. The crossovers are created. Uh, this is essentially the structure for the icons that they've set up for that will last for roughly half the game.
[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_04] Um, uh, the red corner is Kamu, Haley, Chuck, along with Devin's and D. Um, they will like floating. So Angela is not initially part of it. She will be invited, I think around week three, week two or three, like officially, but she knew.
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_05] We couldn't figure out me and Barrett were like, is she part of that? Like we couldn't figure out if she is or isn't. Um, but it was interesting to me that D Devin's and Angela told me and Barrett about it.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_04] That's yeah. So I don't know if you've seen this in the episode yet, but, um, this is again, this is coming from the episodes. Uh, it's Devin's ends up telling you about it. Yeah. Uh, and then he lets D know, like I told them and she goes, why did you tell them?
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_05] Okay. You shouldn't have done that. She got really mad at me. I don't think she, he should have, uh, I think it would have been smart to have like play both of us. You know what I mean? Felt like we were both there.
[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_04] It's, it's very risky. Like you really have to, to trust that the information, you know, goes in the right direction. Yeah. Um, and it was the same thing. They didn't know whether to tell Angela about Redcorn. They didn't know if they could trust Angela with that information.
[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_04] Ultimately this all worked out, um, because you and Barrett were people that wanted to work with them. You got that information. They also, I think, smartly used the fact that, um, Kamu, Kamu had pushed both Barrett and you at one point, uh, in week one, but only like only because Kamu didn't like her, uh, her move of like one from each group.
[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. That was my idea. Okay. Yeah. That first, that first day I came up to her room and I told D I was like, listen, and you could ask D she also agrees. I was like, the easiest thing you could do that like gets the least amount of blood on your hands is take one from each group. And then one of the renomes will be Ashley or Barrett. And obviously I didn't want it to be Barrett because I wanted him to be in the crossover. Um, but she was like, yeah, that makes sense. I was like, cause you don't just target one, I guess, group one team.
[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_05] And she was like, yeah, that makes sense. And then she claimed it. And I was like, okay, cool. Like I'll take my hands off of that. Um, but I thought that was a good idea because like first HOH, you don't want to ruffle feathers. Um, but also you have to. Um, and I don't think people are mad at you. Cause it's like, you don't have any perception of like, you know, what knows who's who. And she came in early, like late, uh, too. So she didn't even get to have like conversation with us beforehand.
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_05] So I think she had like out of the three to win it. I'm glad it was D on the part that she didn't really know who people were yet. And I liked, I liked my idea of like take one from each team or you could be like, Oh, I'm pissing off each team. It could go either way.
[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_04] Well, the Kamu's argument against it was like, you promised Yash you wouldn't put Yash on the block. Um, so, uh, and, and Kamu, I think was really just trying to look out for D in the argument. He'd had nothing against Barrett or you at this point. Um, it's funny because I think that by telling, especially Barrett, like, Hey, Kamu was really pushing you.
[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_04] He has this sense that red corner doesn't like him and wants him gone for like weeks, uh, which was never really the case. Like they never had anything against him in particular. It was really just that one specific setup that they were like, it might make more sense to put Barrett on the block as, you know, one of these people. Um, but, uh, but it really, I think for Barrett, uh, gave him the sense of like, okay, I'm, I'm being looked out for by these people and they have an in with them and that's fine for now.
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_04] But obviously you both talked pretty early on about like, we're at the bottom of this, whatever it is. And then obviously tool shed will eventually form, but we're not there yet. Um, so, uh, the crossovers form though. Uh, and this is initially, uh, D and Devon's what they really, they're really actually loyal to. Uh, they, they want the crossovers to succeed. They like you guys better than they like red corners. Um, and, uh,
[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_04] and D as you said, is doing like the one per group thing, very successfully convincing the house that she doesn't know what she's doing. Um, they're all talking like, I don't think D understands this game.
[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Uh, I think I was also one of them. I think I also was like, I don't know how familiar she is. I think, but also I'm like, she won Survivor. So she definitely,
[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_04] and people didn't really like seem to know that she's considered to be like the most dominant new era winner of Survivor.
[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, even Devon's described her as that. So I was like, yeah. And it's kind of really funny to see how far she made it. And the fact that we're just like, we're like, I mean, there's so much we can talk about. I can't wait to talk about like the Angela D vote flip. Like, Oh, I'm excited for that, but that's, that's way down the line.
[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_04] All right. So, uh, D nominates Ashley Mallory, uh, or sorry, uh, initially nominates, um, Josh, uh, Josh Mallory. And, um, I put down Taylor Taylor initially, and Ashley is the renown. Um, and, uh, and this is, this is the beginning of a season long grudge between Mallory. Oh, it all starts here. Um, the birth of pipe queen.
[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_04] And it's not even like, it's not the worst, uh, nomination. Like there's this sense that she's part of this trio with melody and lyric. Um, she is initially looking like the target, at least from what we were able to see.
[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_05] It was like definitely going to be like Josh or Mallory.
[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_04] I think that she, yeah, she was initially the, the second I saw the nominations, I was like, Josh will be the target by the end of the week. But it was initially a little bit on Mallory, but then she goes on to win the pipe.
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Birth of pipe queen. Legendary.
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_04] And so now she's survived and she really is like, I need to, I need to target D because you know, what kind of player am I, if I'm not targeting the person that put me on the block? Uh, which I think is a decent strategy. Uh, unfortunately for her, she's that, that person happens to be like the most powerful player in the game. Yeah. Um, but, uh, but there's also this whole thing with melody feeling like she needs to distance herself.
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Doesn't want to attach herself to a dead horse is what she said. I love that. It was like, wow, that's crazy. It's like, it was cracking me up. Cause I would like throw that line out the whole season to her because I just like, couldn't believe that she was ready to like drop Mallory that quick. Um, especially how we saw it all turned out. Like they were like, I know, like, like so close.
[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. This is one of my biggest critiques of melody early on. Um, I, I picked her up for my draft team.
[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_01] You did.
[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_04] So I was, I was looking at melody and I was like, Oh, melody. No, why are you trying to distance yourself? She's staying. Yeah. Um, and, uh, and so I was pretty frustrated with it. And one of the first conversations we see with you and Devin's, uh, where we learn that you're in the crossovers and that you've got some kind of like further loose threaded thing going on.
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_04] That we eventually learned is, um, is that, uh, is, but it's talking about melody and how it's Devin's is like, it's super sketchy that she's trying to distance herself from her friend.
[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. It's like that quick, especially after she won the veto. It's like, Oh, like, I think that first week, everyone's worried about being the pawn every week or like always being up. And it ended up being Taylor this summer where she was just like, Oh, we don't know who else. We'll just put, we'll put Taylor up, which is a tough spot to be in. Cause you're always in consideration.
[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_05] You go home kind of, I feel like Taylor actually did a really good job of not being in consideration. Um, but it was making me laugh because, you know, Mallory was, you know, pissed off because she's like, I'm not going to be the person that goes up every week. And I have to save myself every single week. And it's just like, I don't know, but, but it was, it was, it was, it was funny to see how quick melody was like, I'm scrapping everything with Mallory. I've been hanging out with her for like seven days and just going like, okay, I got to restart.
[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. And you, you talk with Devin's about you sort of seeing the game, the crossovers, at least as sort of a three V two it's you Devin's and Barrett versus D and Angela. This is a dynamic that will be very important throughout the season.
[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_05] I, I also Devin's was the best and well positioned in that Alliance. Cause like, I do think he would have gone either way. Like I think it just, if we, I do world final five, all of us, I think it would be whoever won that HOH. He'd be like, I went with you guys the whole time.
[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah.
[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_05] Um, and I, I do, I do remember like mentioning that to him, like being like, Hey, you know, you're like the best, but he's like, nah, what are you crazy? Like Devin's is so good at just diffusing and like deflecting. Um, I don't know. I, I, I think he would probably have an easier time sitting next to me or Barrett. So I think he might've gone our way, but I have no idea.
[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_04] Um, but I do, I mean, I can tell you for, for most of the season, at least, uh, in his conversations to the cameras, uh, he plans to go to the end with D, uh, like final two.
[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_05] Oh, final two.
[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. It's not until late. It's not until late in the game that he starts to go.
[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah.
[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_04] Maybe I don't want to actually. Um, but he very much is, is with D and Angela in terms of like, yeah.
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_05] Like where loyalty is more at. Yeah. I want, I mean, of course they have like that built in trust alliance because like they are grouped in, like they're the only people that came in with like a quote unquote alliance because like literally got labeled as the icons. They'd be crazy not to be the most loyal to each other.
[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. You also, you talked to Devin's about melody and how you've gotten closer to her. You had made not necessarily like a final two, but like an alliance with her, you know, doing the upside down. Um, you talked about her being potentially like a parachute alliance. Uh, and that, and that Barrett might have melody, Mallory in the same way. I got their names mixed up.
[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_05] Don't worry. That's why we call them pipe queen and OD. Like that's why it all changed. Um, yeah. You know, I was kind of inspired by like the cookout. I love the way that they ran that. Like that was so cool. They all had their person on the outside. In a way I felt like we kind of did that. Um, not like as structured. It was way more loose. Um, the problem is that they never really wanted it.
[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_04] Exactly. They never wanted it. So nobody wanted it. The icons didn't want it. Exactly. It was just like, no, this is never happening.
[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yeah. No, um, what I, my, I wanted to go in there and just have like quote unquote, like working relationships with everybody. Like I felt like the worst thing you could do is like not talk to somebody for like a couple of days or a couple of weeks. The more and more the game went on, the less I was good about it. I just kept going like, uh, there's so much history now with other people that they have. Like, how am I going to squeeze my way in? But, uh, that first couple of like weeks I was just talking to everybody.
[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_05] And that's why I was so sporadic. And like, that's probably why I became such a big target.
[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_04] I mean, on the other side of it, I just feel like, as you talked about, like being more active and talking to more people, I think is going to give you more opportunities than it loses out. And even when you have history, I think that there's often a lot of value to just trying as you might as well. Uh, like, as we'll eventually talk about, like in what world did D ever think that she'd be able to convince Yash and Taylor to keep her over Angela, but she went for it anyway.
[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. I think there's no reason not to try. Exactly. Um, which is super like, I tried a lot. I don't know. I don't know how successful I would say like my success rate was probably 10%, but, um, I definitely put effort in, um, because I just wanted to see, like, you never know what could happen. Somebody could be like, Oh, you know what? Why not?
[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Um, speaking of the melody distancing herself thing, there was a thing, especially we were looking early at this trio of women. Um, and while melody was trying to distance herself from Mallory lyric actually makes a bit of a bond with D this week by using her relationship with Mallory saying, yeah, Mallory's mad at you, but don't worry. I can get her to not target you. Um, which is kind of something that you're going to try to do later on, but yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. To the less, less success.
[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_04] Um, there is actually a big push for melody to go up, uh, as Mallory's replacement. Um, but D prefers Ashley. She thinks that Ashley is a bigger threat. Obviously. Um, you know, at this point I would assume you preferred Ashley as well over melody.
[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I think so.
[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_04] Yes. Um, and initially it's just like as a pawn, um, obviously Yash becomes the primary target. Things are going to shift there as soon as well. Um, Taylor spends a lot of time campaigning to stay. She's leveraging the relationships that she has. This is what eventually becomes like the sides. Yeah.
[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_04] Is the Ashley versus Taylor thing. Um, she has a lot of people like Lala and Rome, uh, Jason who like really want Taylor to stay, uh, which is part of why the, the, what becomes the tool shed doesn't feel comfortable pushing too hard.
[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_05] And she kind of had, um, Devin's eye and Chuck Haley because we're all have nots. So we were like, Oh, okay. Yeah. And we were like, man, like, I think like as a fan, it would have, if I was in her shoes and I was a have not the first week put on the block. And then I went home, I would have been like, wow, that was a, not the big brother experience I wanted. Um, and I was just like, Taylor was so cool. I was like, I don't like, she's so cool.
[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_05] I don't care if we're working together or not. Like, I just don't want that for somebody. Then you could be like, well, Drew, like Ashley didn't get to play in the HOH or the veto. And then only played in blockbuster went home. And then I'd be like, yeah, that's actually not that cool.
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_04] So it happens. But again, like Ashley was at this point a little less active than Taylor in terms of developing those relationships. She was a lot more isolated. In fact, one of her better connections was with melody, uh, which, which didn't quite work out. Um, Devin's has a conversation with Rome this week.
[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, big conversation. They're like, Devin's is like, listen, the big targets need to stick together. Like on the down low. Uh, this is why Rome feels comfortable with Devin's heading into next week. He feels like he's got this kind of undercover relationship with Devin's. I felt like a very good job of it.
[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Like there were like some big chiefs, like common Rome and Devin's. They're all like the leaders of their like camps. And they would, they would meet up sometimes upstairs. And you're like, Oh, the, the big, big dogs are talking. They're all downstairs. And it's like, that's like, I mean, Devin's Rome and common were huge targets, like just like physical threats. And then like Devin's with the strategic end. I would just get a competitions too. Cause we know from survivors. So I don't blame them for doing that. So that's interesting to see that they did talk.
[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_05] I, I, I suspected it for sure. Um, but that's so interesting. That's why he was so comfortable to like around everybody, which was tough.
[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_04] You know, the groundwork had been set. Yeah. Uh, you talk with Kamu, uh, a decent amount in the first week to talk about like being boys. Um, obviously this is going to develop into, um, the handyman. Uh, what was it? Cause this was an incredibly, I would say this is the, I mean, obviously there were many shots that were eventually taken at you.
[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_04] So, but like, this is like week three, your relationship with Kamu is what like saves your life. Right. Uh, what made you want to go after Kamu as like one of these allies? Was it the fact that you knew red corner existed or was there something else?
[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, it was, it was, it was both. So when I learned about red corner, I was jealous. I was like, Oh, why are we not part of that? Um, we can have like some great super majority alliance. Um, and I always felt like my, my whole thing was attached to people who like are bigger targets than
[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_05] yourself. Um, because if you ever end up next to him on the block, like it feels like a no brainer. Um, Kamu is a physical threat. He is a UFC fighter. He's got like the cauliflower ears. Like he looks intimidating when it, when it comes to competitions. Then he started to win stuff. He kept getting close. Um, and he was kind of a smooth talker. He's really good at like managing relationships. Like I think he was crushing the beginning part of this game. Yeah. Everyone had a good relationship. No one wanted to put him up. The only reason he went up is because of Diamond Power Vita. Um, but
[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_05] he also, I, he loved talking about big brother 16. Like that was his favorite. So I was like, if I can convince him that I will be his Cody, he'll be my Derek or I'll be Derek. He'd be Cody. Like he might rock with me to the end. Um, I was throwing a lot of stuff out there. Just seeing like who wanted to work with me. I think I made like a bunch of final twos, a bunch of alliances that first week. Obviously everyone does that. A lot of them didn't stick, but Kamu is a dude that like,
[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_05] I saw him as a dude who would win a lot of competitions. He had a lot of influence on the house pretty early on. And, uh, if I felt like I was next to him on the block, like people would get rid of him because it's like such a threat. Um, and yeah, but a lot of it was also jealousy of like, why am I not in the red corner with you guys? Like, but it ended up working out for me. And then later on, he became his target.
[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_05] I always attached myself to people that I wanted to get out because they, they were just threats. I felt like I was like the black widow, like the spider.
[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_04] Well, again, there's a very valuable connection that you had. And at this point in the game, I do think, or at least as it develops, uh, I do think that Kamu really starts to lean in your direction. Uh, we'll talk about when that stops.
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_04] Um, another thing that happens here in week one, mama's angels forms. Yeah. This is Lala, Jason and Rome, the trio. They're always hanging out in the gym. Uh, they are the anti icon group of the season. Doesn't work out super well for them. Um, and then, uh, it's day six. Angela has a conversation with D. She says, I don't know if we can trust Drew.
[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_04] This is the start of the, he reminds me of Quinn from my season. Uh, so I don't think we can, and at first this is like the night of night of day six. We're like, it's, this is Angela being Angela. She's talking to D. Obviously D is not going to like buy into the paranoia. Um, and, uh, it feels like it's pretty innocuous at first. Um, but then, uh, here on, um, uh, the, the, I think that same,
[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_04] same night perhaps, uh, uh, uh, Jason pitches to you and melody court jesters court jesters. We need to go after the icons. Um, and he talks about how he did the face to the cameras after he talked to Angela and he talks about how he's going to try to make Devon some like baked goods to play up to America's dad. Um, you bring it to the icons the following morning. Uh, very,
[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_04] very, very important information for them to have found out because at this point in the game, both D and Angela are really suckered in by Jason and law. Like they really like them. They're trying to work on like side alliances, essentially, essentially with these people. Uh, we all, we also like coming into the season thought Jason will obviously work with the icons. He's basically, he's like unofficial. I thought we looked, we learned later. Like I was like, wow, man, like you should have just. Right.
[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_05] I felt, I felt like maybe he should have, but I also understand the fact that like he wanted to be Jason. Like he did not want to be like, you know what I mean? Like I totally see that too. Um, but I think in the game it'd been maybe more beneficial for him.
[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_04] Mm. So you decide to bring this information to the icons. Uh, and I remember it clearly. It was in the hot tub room. You, you told Devon's, you told Angela, uh, and they're like, wow, wow. Really? And then you leave. And Angela's like, I don't trust him. Yeah. I don't, I think he's lying to us. I don't think this is true information. Uh, and Devon's is a little bit like, ah, yeah. I mean, it's, it's probably exaggerated.
[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, it's probably like, it's a little too specific to be completely fake, but it's probably exaggerated. They're probably just trying to get us to not trust these people. Um, and, and I'm on the podcast. I'm saying you saved the crossovers because again, like they had been trying to work with Jason and Rome. Um, they'd been neglecting their, their connections to red corner. Cause they didn't like them that much. Yeah. Uh, D had been basically like, she'd been like, I, I hate Haley. She couldn't even stomach a conversation with Haley. She was really just, she hadn't talked
[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_04] to Kamu and days. Uh, and then they find this out and they're like, Oh crap. Yeah. We need to lock in with red corner. We need to like see what's actually happening with Lala and Jason, but they really, really don't like this information because it's number one hurtful to Angela. That a bit hurtful to Devon's that he's doing that to Devon's. Um, and also that like, they didn't see it. They got completely bamboozled. And now here's this kid coming in and saving their lives. Right. Yeah.
[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. And it's funny that they didn't believe me, but also it's like looking back on it. Like I generally only gave them negative shit. Like they're just like, God, you're such a bummer. Like he just says no one likes us, but it's just like, that was the reality. I felt like they were like the biggest targets in the house and like everybody was plotting against them. But, uh, I felt like I saved him a couple of times. Uh, I think I saved each icon once.
[00:44:50] [SPEAKER_05] I wouldn't doubt it. Yeah. Yeah. Like it was kind of like, if I cut Devon's at the end, I was going to have that in my speech and be like, yeah, I am the savior of the icons, which probably wouldn't have helped me because I thought I was a little lapdog, but, uh, yeah, I kind of wore it as a bad boy.
[00:45:06] [SPEAKER_04] So create what is eventually going to be named. You, you didn't create it, but, uh, the four seasons, very short lived little group. Uh, you, you ratted it out to Devon's Rome, ratted it out to Lala and Jason. Um, Jason also revealed the court jesters to Rome, the little mama's angels group. Um, and, uh, Mallory starts to get suspicious of you because she had a conversation about D to you.
[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_04] And then you immediately went and talked to D and now she's like, Oh shit. He's, he just ratted me out. Um, and she talks to melody about it. Melody tells you about it. Yeah. And then you go and talk to Mallory about it and say, I didn't tell D anything. And then Mallory goes, fuck melody told him.
[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yeah. And now she's like, I don't know if I can trust melody. I'm not very subtle. I'm just like, Oh, okay. I'm going to go talk to him. Um, I, uh, I do remember doing that. I remember like it was in the gym. I was like, Hey, so like, what's going on? Like, do you not? It's just like looking back on it. Um, why was I just so blunt? Like I had no finesse. I was just like calling it out and be like, Oh, do you trust me or do you not? And then they can say
[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_05] whatever you want to your face, but like probably didn't help me. I had no, what do you think? Do you
[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_04] think it helped hurt? I mean, I think this, I think it helped honestly. It helped more than it hurt. You could have been more subtle about your approach obviously, but like the fact that you were able to have those conversations help you more than like letting it fester. Yeah. Uh, the, the conversations you weren't able to have the ones with the icons, not trusting you that festered and that festered bad. Right. Uh, so like, even if it's like not the best conversation, the fact that you have any conversation
[00:46:51] [SPEAKER_04] at all, like Mallory never ends up targeting you. She's like, this all kind of fades away. Uh, and there, you have a bunch of these incidents over the course of the season, especially with Mallory, because you keep getting caught ratting her out. Of course, of course. Um, but she keeps coming back and it's largely because you are able to keep those lines of communication open, I think. Um, so Angela, after hearing your information about Jason, it's really starting to kick up the paranoia
[00:47:16] [SPEAKER_05] gears of like what, like Quinn vibes. Is that what she's thinking? Well, of you and, and just in
[00:47:21] [SPEAKER_04] general, because so Angela, you have to understand Angela comes in, she's talking to D in the same conversation that she was talking about you that first night, night six. Um, she's like, is this what it's supposed to feel like to like have allies that you can rely on and you can trust? Like when specifically talking about D and Devin's, uh, because she never had that on her season. She was always either betrayed or betrayed someone else or was just like alone all season.
[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_04] And so she finally had her people in D and Devin's and felt like with that core, she was broadening her horizons. She was connecting with people like Jason. And then you come along and say, actually, Jason's tricking you. Uh, and that emotional conversation you had with him, that was a play by him. Uh, and it's, it's pretty devastating to her, I think emotionally. Uh, and so she starts to get really paranoid that now, like everyone, even since she doesn't believe it, but she also kind of
[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_04] believes it. And she starts to believe now that like, what, like everyone is now conspiring against her. Uh, and so she, um, she thinks that there's like this big meeting that happens in the gym. Uh, she's like, I saw, I saw them. That's the group. Uh, and it was, it was Lala's angels. Yes. Or mom's angels. It was Lala Roman and, um, and Jason, but she thought that Mallory and Lala and Lyric went in there. She thought that like a bunch of other people, like Yash was in
[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_05] there. That's like how the house divided, right? Like in her mind, that those were the people that
[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_04] were, yeah, she created that. And then it was the other and everybody else. And it was, uh, she thought that there was this mega alliance forming with Taylor. And so she originates this idea of like, we need to get Taylor out because she's with them, even though they didn't exist. There's this whole saga. It's very funny with D and Angela, uh, where Angela's talk, like they're in there right now. And it's this whole thing. They're watching the cameras as like,
[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_04] you know, uh, somebody comes out of the gym or somebody comes over. They're like, Oh, what's true. Oh, I bet you're going to go in there. I bet he's going to go. And then you don't be like, okay. Yeah. But, uh, like not yet. He'll get in there eventually. And so they're like, Oh man, I can't wait to see what's happening in there. And then the feeds cut to the gym.
[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_05] It's empty. Are you serious? That is awesome. I love that. No, I mean, if there's one thing, you know, Angela will Angela, she will, she will be paranoid, which is like the best thing. Cause it's just so fun to watch, but also when you're on the other side of it, it's not great. Um, but that's so funny that it was empty and they were like, look at them. They're, they're going to their bat cave and they're plotting against us.
[00:50:02] [SPEAKER_04] Yes. Well, so, uh, so this is sort of what really spawns this idea of like, we need Taylor out now because she's with the vet. There's a big group and Taylor's a part of it. Uh, wasn't true, but there was the perception that it was true. And so, uh, you, they talk it over with the crossovers with red corner. Um, but the problem is that, uh, at this point, uh, it doesn't
[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_04] feel like red corner would be down to do that. Uh, and so it's like, okay, we need to talk to Ashley and you end up having this conversation with Ashley, uh, up on the, uh, like the balcony area. Um, and, uh, it's just the messiest conversations. Of course. Yes. We were like,
[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_05] what in the world is happening? It was I speaking or was it all of us? It was you,
[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_04] Barrett and D and Barrett and D were like, uh, I described them as the movie together. Uh, with Franco. They were like conjoined, uh, at this point. Um, and, and it was you and it was like, guys, you're supposed to be undercover here, right? Like, yeah, I, we
[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_05] were really bad at that. I think like really bad at keeping on the DL. Um, and then like we got better later in the season because I think we actually didn't trust each other. Right. We weren't hanging out with each other. Then later it became convenient. We're like,
[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_04] oh guys, remember. Yeah. Well, so you're talking to Ashley and you're giving her like these like marching orders, essentially like go and talk to the girls, like tell them that they need you because here's all the people we're working with. Uh, these are all the boats that
[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_05] you're staying, that stay, go tell everybody that you're staying and all people that are voting for
[00:51:39] [SPEAKER_04] you. And she freaks out, right? She's like, oh my God, I need to go and do this. And so she goes and she talks to Taylor and she says, yeah. So drew and Barrett and D and Devins and Angela, they call themselves the crossover. They all want me to stay. And they're with Kamu and Haley and Chuck. And that's the side that wants me to stay. Uh, and so we need to make sure that you, cause you were like, make sure Taylor votes for you. And so there, she was like, so you need to vote for me.
[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_04] If, if, you know, if Yash or if, if you come off the block and then, and then Taylor goes and talks to Lala and Lala goes and talks to Angela and Angela's like, no, no, no, this is not, this is not what's happening. It's fine. Uh, and then the following day she goes and she talks to Lyric who goes and tries to warm up one room and Rome's like, nah, don't worry about it. Yeah. And then she talks to melody. Oh yeah. It's like the pool table. She comes out. Yeah. So she actually talks to melody and she's like, so this is, it's drew and it's Barrett and it's, and she names all of the people and
[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_04] melody is the first person to be like, what the fuck? Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's her. What are you? Hold on. Uh, you said drew. She's like, yeah, I figured he would have told you already. Cause obviously you too. Uh, and she's like, I haven't heard any of this. Drew was like there telling you about this. You're like, yeah, he was in the room with me. Um, and she's like, okay.
[00:52:54] [SPEAKER_05] And so she rushes off. Jit finds me like, like seconds after I think she had the conversation. I'm playing pool with my common Barrett and she's like, what the hell is happening? She
[00:53:04] [SPEAKER_04] said, if you're playing me and you're really with the other side, I'm going to kill you.
[00:53:08] [SPEAKER_05] Is that what she says? Yeah. I don't think she, uh, I don't think she was lying. Uh, yeah. I think melody is a no bullshit kind of person. And it definitely like scared me. I remember being like, Oh, we're fucked. Like it's week one. I'm already playing such a messy game. It's only going to get
[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_04] worse from here. I think it did. I mean, it was such a, uh, a weird confluence of events. And it was like, at the time I was saying like, I don't think they realize how much influence they have because there isn't another side. And it would be so easy for them to just have the majority of votes to just keep Ashley. They didn't need to do like actually didn't need to do a thing. Yeah. But now Ashley's talked about sides, it's activated melody. Now melody does see sides.
[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Uh, and she's freaking out. Um, also by the way, in that conversation, Angela ends up joining. She, uh, she was in the conversation with Ashley initially. She left and then she came back, uh, after you left the conversation and she goes, did you give you any information? They're like, what do you mean? He left. And then he came back. Like he was going to tell you something. What did he tell you? And they're like, I don't think he left and came back. I think he just left.
[00:54:18] [SPEAKER_04] She's like, no, no. I saw him leave and come back. Did he tell you anything? Um, and, uh, and this is like the first time Barrett's hearing any suspicion about you and just like openly in front of Barrett and Barrett at this point is like, Angela, I think it's fine. Like Drew's cool.
[00:54:34] [SPEAKER_05] We're all good. Yeah. Um, and it stays like that the whole game, right?
[00:54:39] [SPEAKER_04] And you know, for a little while, uh, this is also like, they've been doubting your information about Jason. Um, he backs that up. He says, I've been in rooms with con I've been in rooms with con, uh, with Jason where he's had conversations that feel very similar. I think, I think the information he brought is, is real. Um, and this is like, I was like, okay, here we go. Somebody finally backing Drew up the following morning or later that night. Angela's like,
[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_04] I'm sorry, D I, I think I've been getting really paranoid about Drew. Like maybe I need to chill. And I was like, okay, maybe this is diffused the next morning. She's back at it.
[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yeah. No, it's okay. Um, that's so funny. I, yeah, I do feel like if I could do something differently, it might've been, I don't know if it would have helped, but like to reassure Angela specifically that I'm okay, but I don't know if that would even help. I don't know what would have done it. I don't know. Yeah. Even, yeah. I don't know what would have, but I honestly thought like during the nomination. Oh wait, no, that's the, that's the next week.
[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_04] Well, okay. So the rest of the week plays out pretty, uh, basically you let the crossovers know, like Ashley's just botched this because now there's sides and melody's pissed. Um, and they're like, okay, well, we're not going to stick our necks out for Ashley.
[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. So, uh, I don't even think she would have gone with like the tool sheds. I think she probably would have been, she had a closer relationship to the other side. She was closer
[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_04] to the other side anyway. Yeah. So, um, so Ashley's evicted, uh, but in the process of you telling them like, melody's freaking out about this, uh, they're now like pretty sketched on melody. Like melody is a problem. Melody is the reason that we weren't able to keep bashing. Yeah. Uh, and so that's not going to be great for, especially with this HOH, how it all
[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_04] plays out too with Devin. Exactly. Exactly. Uh, so during the HOH competition, melody famously, I don't think this was actually in the episode at all. Uh, I think they, they didn't show it. Yeah. Um, I think they would, I think they mostly focused on her connection to you as why Devin's puts a melody up on the block. Uh, and, um, and then maybe her, her connection to what
[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_04] happened the previous week. Uh, but in the competition, she, I, why don't you describe
[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_05] it since you were there and we didn't see it? Yeah. So it was a odd number of people and everyone had to pick a duo and I'm pretty sure that was the second round because the first round you're eliminating each other. And that's what I got rid of. Like I inched out Rome on a point or two. Um, and the second round, like, okay, this one, we must be like teams. So like she runs and grabs me. I wouldn't grab her. And then Devin slept out, uh, as the odd man out. And I, then,
[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_05] or it was no, no, no, no, no. I'm, I'm totally wrong. It was, we thought it was going to be, you eliminate another person. And then she tries to grab him. Um, you thought, they thought it would
[00:57:35] [SPEAKER_04] be that you're, you'd be eliminating. Yeah. She was like, Devin's your my partner. And then they, for some reason they had to redo it. Yeah. And it was revealed like, Oh no, you're working with them. Yes. And then once you've realized I'm working with the person I'm
[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_05] working with, I no longer want to be working. Yes. Yes. That's what it was. Yeah. Yeah. So it was, they kind of like, I don't know if it was like a production error thing, but I think that's why they didn't show it. And then, then we heard it and it was like, she was gunning for Devin's. She was like, I'm going to be his partner. I'm trying to try to get rid of him. And then when we
[00:58:06] [SPEAKER_04] figured out it was not that it was like, Oh, I'll be Drew. Yeah. So, uh, Devin's is HOH. His target is Maladie straight up. He wants Maladie gone. Um, he doesn't like how she handled the Mallory situation. He doesn't like that. She didn't want to be on a team with him. She was the reason the vote flipped the week before. Um, so her and Lyric on the block makes sense. He just needs a third nominee. He doesn't want to do any renoms of the previous week. Uh, so he needs to figure out who
[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_04] that third nominee is. He talks to Rome, uh, and he lets Rome know like, Hey, you're good. I don't know about Lyric. Like, I don't know if I can do Lyric for you. I can keep you safe. Uh, and of course that's when they have that whole conversation. Rome rats out the four seasons. Um, and, uh, and he's got the list. I forget. Did, did he know? Did I think I told Devin's about four seasons or did you had told him about four seasons, but not the name. So when he hears it
[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_04] from Rome, he doesn't, I think fully connect that it's the same thing you've already told him about. Also, you've told him about so many things. Uh, and at this point, he is a little bit starting to be suspicious of you. So like any new piece of information that feels in any way sketchy is like more confirmation of general sketchiness. Uh, so even though you had already told him about this, it didn't really inoculate you too much to, to the little bit of damage.
[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_05] It didn't do a lot. It was more of like, okay, well, he definitely is playing both sides.
[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_04] Yes. Um, Angela comes in and she says to Devin's, I think it, I think Rome needs to go. I think we should target Rome. Yeah. Uh, this is a big move and you like big moves. Yeah. Uh, and Devin's like, you're kind of right. You're kind of right. She's speaking his language, dude. It's
[00:59:53] [SPEAKER_05] like, she, she knows who she's talking to. Devin's loved it. Um, there's so, yeah,
[00:59:59] [SPEAKER_04] he just took major swing. Yeah. Yeah. She says first, don't give any information to drew. He can't know about this. Second Rome just made a face to the cameras. I know he's after me. So you have to target Rome. Um, and so, uh, at this point, of course they believe the information you brought them. They believe that it was true, but it doesn't sort of like clear your name in the
[01:00:23] [SPEAKER_04] way that it should. Right. Like the, the suspicion about it being false, that general sense of, I don't trust him remains even though now they believe the information is true. Uh, which is
[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_05] annoying. Right. I think a little bit, um, I literally told them to like, when we formed the crossover, I was like, I thought I already told you, like I was inspired by Ian and I was like, I'm going to be on the other side, but I'm going to be giving you guys information. They're like, that's great. We love that. And then just like, I didn't do it the right way. I feel like I should have been more like, I'm with you guys, like more reassurance. But whenever I did give them information, I felt like, Hey, like this is me proving I'm with you guys.
[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. And I think, I think it was also to some degree, like those are the people they were trying to get in with. Yeah. And then you told them it wasn't working, but you are in with them. Yeah. Right. So it's like, well, yeah. Yeah. They're like, well, Drew, you're
[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_05] cool with them. Why aren't we? And then I'm like, and then I'm like, Oh yeah, they don't like you guys. They're just like, Oh, Drew's playing both sides. And I think
[01:01:21] [SPEAKER_04] ideally when you bring that kind of information, it's like, well, here's what I'm doing to get you in good with them. Right. Like, uh, here's what I'm telling them to like bring you in. Yeah. Uh, but, uh, but yeah, they were not fans. So Devins tells Barrett, uh, about the four seasons and then he says, uh, man, Drew is all over the place. Right. Uh, so this is again, now Barrett is hearing it from Devins, which I think is different than hearing
[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_04] it from Angela. Um, and, uh, and he tells you about this whole situation, how he's going to target Rome. You're down for this. Uh, and then this all kind of culminates in the tool shed moment, uh, where you all get up there. Um, and you, uh, you named the tool shed. Yes. You've wanted to since you were a kid.
[01:02:10] [SPEAKER_05] That's I swear my whole life. I've wanted the name of it in line. It's called the tool shed. Uh, no, it was kind of more of a joke of, uh, you know, these are like the biggest tools in the house. Yes. Um, I think that came across. Uh, but so was I, I was, I was also one of the biggest tools in the house. Um, but no, for me, I wanted it to work, but it was just like, I could not get behind
[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_05] like Haley, Chuck, Kamu, cause it was so tight and it was a worrisome. And I always felt like me and Barrett were like seventh and eighth in that alliance. I think we probably were.
[01:02:45] [SPEAKER_04] There's a lot of, um, diary rooms in the episodes with both of you being like, we know we're at the bottom of this. Um, the irony is at this point you, you kind of weren't right. Like, like crossover. I mean, you were, of course, of course, because they didn't trust you. Trust me. Um, but, uh, but Barrett was very much like number four, uh, in terms of the icon priority.
[01:03:10] [SPEAKER_04] Um, they very much would have loved to go down to the end with, with Barrett. Um, so the tool shed forms, it's this big moment. This is well documented. We don't need to spend too much time on it. Uh, you talk with Kamu afterward, really bro out with him. The handyman is made. Uh, and again, this is like really key, like really key to your game in this, in this, uh, short term,
[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_04] uh, moment at least. Um, and, uh, do you, how do you feel about Kamu at this point?
[01:03:43] [SPEAKER_05] Um, well, he kept comparing me to his younger brother. So I was like, okay, like I'm going to use that. Um, and I felt like Kamu was always just going to be a big threat. And I, I'm, I was more worried about him because he was such a big threat. I knew he was close. He had the, uh, red corner. So I was like, okay, like he might be my in and be like, Hey dude, you and me all the way to the end. I would never want to sit next to him. Cause he would beat me. I think, because he's like,
[01:04:12] [SPEAKER_05] so charismatic, but, um, he was kind of my in to like build trust with like Chuck Haley Kamu. Cause I felt like he had some influence over those two. Yeah. Well, this is the interesting
[01:04:22] [SPEAKER_04] thing is that was always the perception. Um, and he always said, I'm actually not that close to Haley and Chuck. And every time he said it, D would be like this idiot thinks that I'm stupid.
[01:04:33] [SPEAKER_05] But it actually was kind of true. He wasn't that close with them. Chuck and Haley were like this.
[01:04:38] [SPEAKER_04] Exactly. And he was very much more so, I think initially at this moment in the tool shed, I think he was with you. I think he was, uh, and he was also with, you know, he was with D and Devins as well, but you were the person he was talking, I think the most too, in terms of like great strategy. Yeah. Um, and so, uh, this is, this is when your game feels like the strongest is like this week into next week, despite the fact that the, um, the team week two
[01:05:07] [SPEAKER_04] was the strongest. I mean, you weren't fighting for your life yet. Yeah. Yeah. True. True. True. Uh, that's good. I started off strong in terms of like social strategic positioning, especially heading into the beginning of Kamu's HOH. I think in particular, you have some stronger moments, especially when the Kyash's HOH you did, you operated pretty, uh, effectively. Um, but, uh, this is when you become a middleman. Yes. Because the tool shed is formed. You've got
[01:05:36] [SPEAKER_04] the thing with Kamu. Yes. There's this lingering sense of like, we don't trust true, but that still feels like it might blow over eventually. Uh, and at the same time, Roman Jason are like, Drew's our guy. Yeah. He's the one we can flip to our side. Um, Taylor, who they talked to says, no, he's not. I'm telling you, Drew and Barrett, they are moles for the other side. They cannot be. She clocked it that quick. She clocked it that quick. Taylor's so damn smart. Like she honestly,
[01:06:04] [SPEAKER_05] like one of the smartest people in that house. I think the whole season, she like saw everything.
[01:06:08] [SPEAKER_04] She could read everybody like a book. She was very good at reading people. She did have some occasional, uh, misreads, but like, um, I mean, even just like the veto that she won
[01:06:18] [SPEAKER_05] is like very representative. Oh yeah. Dude. She Taylor as a player, like when I gave it to her, she like took it and then brought it back. Like I was like, Oh man, like she's super smart. She
[01:06:27] [SPEAKER_04] could read people so well. Uh, and Taylor tells Mallory, like we can't trust Drew and Barrett. Mallory ends up questioning Barrett about being upstairs. He lies to her initially. I can't believe he did that. Wild call. Yeah. That becomes a whole thing. It eventually blows over. So we don't have to go too deep into it. But, um, Drew lets melody know that Rome, uh, I said, Drew, you let melody know that Rome ratted, uh, the four seasons out. It's time to like
[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_04] jump ship. Um, and at this point she's willing to like, she's like, screw Rome. Like we're in trouble. I'm in trouble. I'm willing to jump ship to Devon's and whoever else, like I'm, I'm down. Uh, this is the closest I think, aside from a mosh pit that like melody gets to actually going with you to the other side. And it's at the time that Devon's is trying to get her out.
[01:07:15] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Um, Angela gets egged. Yeah. That's such a brutal, like for her specifically, like that is such
[01:07:25] [SPEAKER_04] a tough one. It was, it was, it was brutal, but funny. Um, very, especially during that dom chaos
[01:07:33] [SPEAKER_05] during the nominations. I was so worried that like when she stood up, she was just going to air me out.
[01:07:38] [SPEAKER_04] I don't know if that was her intention either. No, I don't think she intended to yet. Don't worry. It was coming. It's coming. Yeah. She wants to. Um, but, uh, it worked out really well for you that Jason never realized because he thought that she saw him do it. Uh, and he didn't realize that you
[01:07:55] [SPEAKER_05] had told her. Yeah. I got so lucky. I had the egg right next to me. And then I had Jason going, America hate me. It was, it was, I was like, I, my whole game could blow up right now. Yes. All it takes is something like who told you? And then she's like, Angela doesn't even make it even secretive. She's like, am I, can I say it? And I was like, yeah, you should go. You can say it. Uh, so the house is in
[01:08:18] [SPEAKER_04] chaos. Lala's sobbing. Rome is sobbing. Uh, and, um, and, and the entire side is blown up. Like they weren't ever a solidified side to begin with. Um, we at this point, right before this,
[01:08:31] [SPEAKER_05] we're calling it Rome's, I was calling it Rome. I think so was Taylor, which is so funny. Yeah.
[01:08:36] [SPEAKER_04] She was like Rome's empire. And, um, and Rome was calling himself a king. And I was like, dude, it was right there. Oh my, it was right there. Emperor. That is awesome. I love that he was doing that. Yeah. And so, uh, but like people are defecting like Yash. Yash is like, he becomes a middleman. Yash becomes a middleman. He's protected. He's, he's there. Rome is sobbing to Lala, like sobbing to Lala. And then the camera pans out and it's like Yash's hand on his knee,
[01:09:03] [SPEAKER_04] just also sitting there. Really? It's really funny. I love that. That's so funny. Um, so he's, he's with them, but then also when he goes to Devon's, he's like, Oh yeah, I'm totally down with you. And he goes to Rome. He's like, I'm so pissed about this. Um, and Yash is really like learning on the fly. He doesn't know the game that well. Um, but this is, I think like really, uh, where he starts to, this is, he was given the space to learn the game because he wasn't put on the block again. Um, I always thought Yash and me played very similar
[01:09:30] [SPEAKER_04] games, but like we use way cleaner. Well, he, he had to play solo basically, uh, through most of, he had to find, like he had to start later. Yeah. He was put on the block. He then decided he was gravitating toward gets blown up. Um, and he starts trying to find a place to fit in Dapper Dans, uh, and then a couple of others, they all fall flat. It's not until basically Lala's
[01:09:56] [SPEAKER_04] HOH into his HOH that he finds some footing only to get it swept out under him again with the diamond power of Vito. Um, Rome tells you about his name, Jack, Jack. Yes, dude. You're the only person he
[01:10:11] [SPEAKER_05] tells that is so not even lyric. I'm sure he told her. He must've told lyric. I don't think it was
[01:10:16] [SPEAKER_04] on the feeds. Um, but he tells you the whole story. Uh, and this is him. Like he's trying,
[01:10:21] [SPEAKER_05] he thinks he can pull you to his side. Yeah. This is him. Like I was kind of confused on what his thing was here. I was like, you just come and clean and be like, Jack, my name is Jack. And I was like, am I supposed to tell you like my actual legal names, Andrew? Like, well, what's funny
[01:10:33] [SPEAKER_04] is you, you start talking about like other secrets and you're like, I bet somebody in here
[01:10:38] [SPEAKER_05] is a lawyer. And at this point he knew that he was a lawyer. I didn't know that. That's so funny that I, yeah. I mean, as a fan of the show, there's always a lawyer that didn't know it was lyric. Yeah. I never would have guessed. It's so cool. And, uh, I'm going to claim that,
[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_04] that I knew the whole time. I can't believe on finale night, they were like Roman lyric, have an announcement. I was like, we might be moving in together soon. Yeah. Instead of
[01:11:02] [SPEAKER_05] lyric revealing that she's a lawyer, right? Like it would've been so cool. Like Mallory rocket scientist, lyric lawyer would be like, dang, these chicks are so damn smart. Like this is awesome. Um, but yeah, like we might move in together. It's really funny. Big reveal. Yeah.
[01:11:17] [SPEAKER_04] Devin's wins the veto. Um, and that means that the, uh, backdoor plan is in place, but somebody needs to come down off the block. Yeah. So Roman lyric devise a plan. They're going to pretend to be broken up. Yes. Uh, and yes, they eventually tell him Rome eventually tells basically everyone, uh, but it works on Devin's initially. He believes it at first, uh, she goes
[01:11:43] [SPEAKER_04] up to, to Devin's. She's like, I can't like, I can't be attached to Rome anymore. Like, I don't would like to work with you after she leaves. He's like, I kind of believe her. Yeah. Um, and she in the meantime also convinces Yasha and Chuck that she wants Rome gone. She's doing, she's like very flirtatious with them in a very funny way. Uh, and she convinces D also like her connection to D from the previous week. I'll help you with Mallory. She's like, I'm still
[01:12:13] [SPEAKER_04] with you D D goes to Devin's and says, I think we should pull, uh, pull lyric down. Um, and so, uh, so they both agree. Let's pull lyric in. We'll keep Mal, uh, melody on the block. And I'm like, what, what? Like, why would you not split them up? Like just keep lyric on the block to guarantee that one of them leaves and take melody off the block. She's primed
[01:12:38] [SPEAKER_04] right now to want to join your side via drew. Yeah. Like this is a great opportunity to pull in and then we'll have another person. And I was like, what is happening here? Yeah. A lot
[01:12:48] [SPEAKER_05] of the game was like, how can we screw drew the most? I think I'll, we'll get to those
[01:12:52] [SPEAKER_04] conversations. Um, before we get to those conversations, uh, you and Kamu talk more about handymen. Kamu has got your back here. Like he very much, he tries to convince Devin's to use the beat on melody instead of lyric. Cause he had a good relationship melody too. You were starting to talk about like a little trio going on. Um, Devin says that he worries that melody is too close to drew. Doesn't know how much they can, you that they can trust drew. Uh, you, uh, Kamu says we can trust drew. Of course we can trust drew. Like, come on. Uh, and he goes and he warns you. He's like, yeah, some
[01:13:22] [SPEAKER_04] of the Alliance members I think are a little bit like worried. Um, let me try to find, uh, yeah. So you were talking about being like the bomb squad and hit men. You talk about going on the amazing race. You talk about surpassing chill town and Kamu says, yeah, it's just a lot of people in Alliance are talking about how close you are with melody. Um, yes, it's trying the name of the whole, that's the melody of it all. A little bit trying to warn you about what's happening here, but doesn't want to go too far. Um, and, and this
[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_04] ends up working like Devin's gets convinced to use the veto on melody again. Um, he's like, okay, I think it makes sense to use it on melody. We'll keep lyric on the block. So he talks to D Angela and Barrett about it. He's like, I think we should use it on melody. And Angela says, no, we need melody to stay on the block to keep drew in check. Uh, and then you interrupt this conversation. You go up into the, to the HOH room and you've got information. Yeah. You come in
[01:14:17] [SPEAKER_04] something that just blows everything up. You're like, Hey, by the way, Mallory doesn't trust Barrett anymore after the meeting. Cause he lied about it. Uh, just wanted to let you guys know. Also Lala says she targeted the icons. Uh, anyway, they're just like, this kid sucks. And they're like, see what he does. You see how he thinks we're stupid. Um, and they literally say he's always bringing information. We don't like, he thinks he's slick. See, we need, that's why we need melody
[01:14:43] [SPEAKER_04] on the block to test him to test him. Um, and Angela says, honestly, I think he should be nominated
[01:14:48] [SPEAKER_05] next week. Uh, I always felt like I was nominated like as a lesson. They were always like trying to
[01:14:55] [SPEAKER_04] like teach me a lesson. Well, that's what they eventually tried to tell you. It was every time you were nominated, they were trying to target you. Yeah. Yeah. That's super awesome. Um, so in the next conversation with, uh, Devin's UD and Haley D pushes for Lear to come off the block, you back down. You're like, okay, if that's what it's going to be, that's what it's going to be.
[01:15:14] [SPEAKER_05] Um, cause I was worried that they would think like, I wanted to make them trust me. So I was like, all right, I'll let, like, I'll go with whatever you guys want. Um, cause I feel like if I stuck my neck out a lot for melody, maybe they would just put me up or like, I'm sure Rome was always going to go up, but like, I wanted to try to build trust. It's a, it's a tricky balance because,
[01:15:36] [SPEAKER_04] and we talked, we compared you a lot to Corey from BB 25 again, because this was a similar thing that happened with America where like Corey initially would be bringing a lot of information to Sari and the rest of that Alliance that like, yeah, America doesn't really fully trust you guys. Like this is what she's doing. And then was equally needing to be like, but also don't target her.
[01:16:01] [SPEAKER_04] But also like, I need her here. Yeah. Right. And so it's like trying to find that balance is tricky. And with America, it was, uh, almost impossible because she fully was like going against Sari, like most of the time and kept getting caught. Um, but with melody, like there was, there were some, especially this week, like some chances for her to really get it off. I'm sure she would have been like, Oh, these are my people. Exactly. Uh, and so we were trying to find like, uh, like maybe if you
[01:16:29] [SPEAKER_04] had been a little more, a little less sort of dismissive of her joining you previously, they wouldn't have been as, but then maybe they would have been more suspicious because you were, so it's like, it is a tough balance to achieve. Ultimately they want her on the block, which by the way, doesn't make any sense. There's, it doesn't keep you in check to have melody on the block and not vote melody out. Yeah. Yeah. It doesn't do anything other than putting melody further away
[01:16:56] [SPEAKER_05] and therefore him further away. Yeah. Uh, yeah. I, I think there was a lot of interesting moves that we made that was, uh, just directed towards me. I felt like, like whatever they would use her to like, try to keep me in check. Like you just said, try to keep me in check. And it, it didn't make much sense. I was like, okay, like, but we're not targeting her, but she's gonna be on the block.
[01:17:17] [SPEAKER_04] Okay. It made no sense. I was, yeah, I was, I was really like, man, Devins is not playing well right now. Yeah. Then, uh, proposes an alliance with you, Barrett and Devins, call it the Dapper Dans. Uh, it doesn't really go anywhere. Um, Barrett and Angela talk about you being a little Dr. Will.
[01:17:41] [SPEAKER_05] Um, oh, they say that? Yes. That's, that's a great, I feel bad for Dr. Will that he's compared
[01:17:47] [SPEAKER_04] to me. Uh, Barrett talks to you, not about how Angela is telling, is talking about it, but about this concept. He calls you Dr. Drew, uh, and you make a final two. Um, Barrett also, by the way, when talking to Angela is still sticking up for you. He's like, yeah, Drew is loyal. Like he might be a little Dr. Will, but he's loyal to us. Yeah. Um, at this point, uh, the jugglers is for,
[01:18:12] [SPEAKER_05] I don't know if you named it the jugglers yet. No, I don't think we did it yet, but we eventually did. Um, and then we're like, damn, we should have went with middlemen. That's way cool.
[01:18:23] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, Angela tells Devins, she's already thought up her speech for when she backdoors Drew. Angela says that? She's already thought it up here in week two. Um, she talks to D. They talk about how they see right through you. They know you're not loyal. Uh, and that's when, this is when things start to get bad because Angela talks to Haley about not trusting you. Yeah. Um, and Haley's like, oh, we can't trust Drew. Like, that's weird. Like, does Barrett,
[01:18:51] [SPEAKER_04] like, what, what about Barrett? And she's like, Hey Barrett, can we, like, what is this about? Can we trust Drew? Um, Barrett's like, yeah, we can trust Drew. And Angela's like, Haley, you shouldn't have talked to Barrett about it. They're close. You can't tell him. Um, and so Haley, eventually goes to Kamu instead. She's like, Kamu, I'm hearing stuff about Drew. And Kamu also at this point is like, nah, Drew's good. Like, you need to worry about Drew. Um, and
[01:19:16] [SPEAKER_04] so, uh, D and Devins also now, like, this is becoming a thing. So D and Devins now start talking about it. They're like, Drew's dangerous. He's dangerous because he knows too much. And we're going to be targeting him soon because we don't trust him. We're worried about him, like blowing up the crossovers, exposing things. Uh, and D's like, I think that's why we should get rid of him next. I'm like soon. Uh, and Devins is like, that might be too early,
[01:19:41] [SPEAKER_04] like soon, but not that early probably. Um, and, uh, and so they're trying to find something new to work with Angela Taylor and Lala talk about creating an alliance with D they come
[01:19:54] [SPEAKER_05] together. They call it the honor society. Yes. And that's what week seven went down, right? Like these second age age where like they felt blindsided. D second age age. Uh, well, I mean
[01:20:07] [SPEAKER_04] it kind of, cause it's like, it was like a loose, like it's a, it's a loose grouping of people. Um, and Haley gets involved weirdly in the next week, uh, where like Angela, cause they were talking about potentially adding Haley and then Angela talked to Haley and then Haley knew too much. And then when, uh, when it like the Alliance doesn't like follow through, they blame Haley for it. Yeah. But it was really just a fake Alliance to begin with. Um, and, uh, basically
[01:20:36] [SPEAKER_04] after a week of damage control, Barrett finally has Mallory trusting him again. Uh, and Malady is like, why don't we work with Barrett and drew? This is like the sort of seeds of, of fat. I refuse to call them FAP. You do listen, it's fat dude. It's, it's always been fat. It's
[01:20:53] [SPEAKER_05] been fat. I couldn't believe that we got away with that. Um, yeah, no, my favorite Alliance.
[01:20:59] [SPEAKER_04] I think. Um, so tell, tell me, cause I've been dropping a lot of info on you. Like did, is this surprising to you how early this was happening? It's surprising to me how early they
[01:21:12] [SPEAKER_05] stopped, like just already questioning me. Cause it was funny, funny to know, like I was 100% with them. Like, yeah, I'm rocking with these people because like, I kind of just felt like I could beat them in competitions at the end. Cause I know the end game goes really physical. So I was like, oh, like these are the people I want to go to the end game with. I'm going to give them all this information. Like I'm trying to build trust. And I was like, Chuck Haley, call me like bad. Like they're, they're, they're gone in for me. In reality, it was the opposite. Like they were like,
[01:21:40] [SPEAKER_05] wait, really? Yeah. And then, so like, if I went maybe that route, maybe I would have built more trust and then maybe the icons would have been gone and I would have been with Chuck Haley, comedy, but they, they like probably could whip up, whip on me for competitions. The way. Yeah.
[01:21:55] [SPEAKER_04] The problem is I think they were too good at competitions. And for as much as you had Kamu, like Haley and Chuck were pretty, I mean, really all three of them were very easily persuaded by the vets, the icons. I called them the vets most of the time. Yeah. Um, and, uh, it's hard. I'm the
[01:22:14] [SPEAKER_05] youngest. I don't feel like I didn't have a lot of influence period in the game. Um, but I just had,
[01:22:19] [SPEAKER_04] I just like tried a lot. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, really like, I, as I'm sure you're sort of like aware, I think like the, the best path forward for you with the people that trusted you and wanted to work with you the most was, was fat. Yeah. Like it was Mallory. It was Maladie. Uh, I was always worried
[01:22:39] [SPEAKER_05] though, because like, I felt like if we ever were on the block, like I would need to win because like, they would just get rid of me first because like it would be me or Mallory. Yep. They talked about
[01:22:48] [SPEAKER_04] that specifically. Oh, they did. They were like, uh, cause you eventually tell them about that.
[01:22:53] [SPEAKER_05] Uh, that was Barrett. That was Barrett. Barrett said the name. I was like, I can't believe he said the name and everything. And Devin was like, that's such a great game. Um, they specifically said,
[01:23:02] [SPEAKER_04] uh, when they target the four of you, it'll be Drew or Mallory that leaves.
[01:23:07] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. It makes perfect sense. Like I was always like really scared to be attached to them because, because of that, like, I felt like, oh, like the easy, like of just get rid of Drew. He's like the bigger threat or like get rid of Mallory. Yeah. And then with the icons, I was like, if I ever sit next to them, like maybe I'll be okay. But I think, I think no matter if I ever sat on the block on eviction, I, I was out.
[01:23:30] [SPEAKER_04] Yes. Yes. Uh, for, for different reasons actually, but, uh, yeah. Um, so Rome leaves. Yeah. I cried. Uh, you cry. He proclaims his love for Lyric. I'm jealous. Uh, and, but she still continues to pretend like, uh, they might not be totally in love. I mean, it's, it's really funny. The, the, their whole relationship, uh, on, on the episodes and on the feeds. Like
[01:23:59] [SPEAKER_04] they're, they're like when pretending to be broken up, they're like sneaking off to the have not room and then like violently making out and then like, Kama will come in and they'll be like, and, and Lyric will leave and Kama will be like, how are you doing Roman? He'll be like, yeah, it was just a tough convo with her. Are you serious? And then Kama will leave again and Lyric will come back in and he'll be like, I just said it was a tough convo with her. And he'll stop violently making it again.
[01:24:24] [SPEAKER_05] That's crazy. I see. I didn't even know that they were like kissing in the house. I was like, instantly, like just first night of feeds. Yeah. All right. And it's so awesome. I'm really happy for
[01:24:34] [SPEAKER_04] them. They seem to be really happy right now too. So, um, Kama wins the next HOH. This is, this is big for you. Um, there were, I mean, there were a couple of other outcomes that would have been fine, uh, obviously, but in terms of pretty much anybody in the tool shed, uh, like Barrett and Kamu were like the only two people that wouldn't have put you up. Yeah. And, and that's because specifically this is what happens. Uh, his obviously initial thoughts are
[01:25:02] [SPEAKER_04] Mallory, Jason, Lala, Jason, the target, you talk him into backdooring Jason instead. Yeah. And this is when I was like, this is like the, the most amount of like tangible influence. Like you've got Kamu. He's like, you are a lot of people talk to Kamu about trying, like trying to convince him of doing anything else. You're the only person that convinces him to do something different than he originally intended. The problem is the other things that people were trying to get him to do or target you. Yeah. Um, D and Angela, they don't like the noms. They don't want Mallory
[01:25:32] [SPEAKER_04] or Lala to leave. Uh, they like Mallory, even though Mallory is kind of coming from them. Um, they'd rather backdoor you, uh, but they don't think they can convince Kamu to do it. Um, so, uh, D kind of tries to like test the waters with Kamu. She's like, yeah, you know, I was talking to Drew and he was, you know, he was telling me, he doesn't like how, like you kind of talk to everyone all the time. Like, I don't know what he's like trying to do or anything, but, uh, and Kamu's like, oh, well, should I talk to Drew about it? She's like, oh no, no, you shouldn't talk to Drew about
[01:26:01] [SPEAKER_05] it. That's not a good idea. Yeah, you do. Yeah. That'd be bad. Yeah. Don't tell them to talk to
[01:26:05] [SPEAKER_04] Drew. Um, that's so funny. I'm on the updates being like genuine, like the, the, the last true connection you have to the tool shed is Kamu and that the handyman alliance is what's keeping you.
[01:26:15] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. And Barrett maybe a little bit. It's about, that's about to change. It's about to change.
[01:26:20] [SPEAKER_04] Okay, great. Uh, or, uh, I think it's fine for now. I think it's actually the following week, uh, where they, they drop it. So yes, you still have Barrett. That's so funny. I love how quickly there's like, you get Drew. They really snowballed. Yeah. And when I tell you like, you know, obviously I'm, I'm pointing it out every time it happens, uh, which feels like a lot, but it genuinely was. If you go back and you watch the updates, you watch the podcasts, like
[01:26:48] [SPEAKER_04] it is the main topic is why don't they trust Drew? This is impending doom for Drew, but also impending doom for them because it's not a good move. Yeah. It felt weird. I was always confused
[01:27:01] [SPEAKER_05] why they wanted to get rid of me. Cause I generally, my loyalties were with them. Like pretty much almost the whole game. I was like, yeah, these are the people I'm rocking with, especially cause it was like early relationships. Like I was like seniority. I was like, these are the people I started with, like I'll end with them. And, uh, like what, what, what should I do differently?
[01:27:18] [SPEAKER_04] That's like, we have, we have a lot of conversations about the podcast. Okay. Um, and you know, like I said, I think a lot of it was just like, be, you were very active, but there wasn't enough, I think like quality time spent with specifically them. You did talk a lot with Devin's and we thought, or I thought for a while that Devin's would be like your advocate. Like, no,
[01:27:41] [SPEAKER_04] don't worry. We've got true, but he, I thought this wasn't really. Um, and so when Devin's like starts caving to this idea, which happens in week two already, it's like, well now it's just over. Uh, like we thought, I thought initially it's just Angela, but then D got involved. And when D got involved, Devin's got involved. Yeah. And I think that like, there wasn't really a good way to
[01:28:06] [SPEAKER_04] counteract it except for like, I think if you, if you had convinced any, you'll see this happen. The second you convince D everything's good again. Yeah. Uh, that's during your second HOH. Um, it's D is really the person that I think decides whether or not you're good with the icons and you're good with the crossovers and you're good with the house essentially. Um, and so, uh, so I think that there were a couple, we talked about it like early on. I think
[01:28:36] [SPEAKER_04] it's like week one, like there's a conversation that you have with D, um, where it just felt like
[01:28:41] [SPEAKER_05] the communication styles were not mixing very well. Yeah. It always felt difficult to talk to her. And I'm sure she felt the same about me. Yeah. Um, and I just don't, that's why it was like, no, we weren't meshing. But then later in the season we start like, I love D so much.
[01:28:59] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. And later you get like, later you have a great relationship and you can talk really easily. Um, but I think that, uh, there was just a little bit of a miscommunication. Um, I think that Angela being in her ear, like I'm telling you, Drew's no good. Uh, like kind of got her going and D and the survivor players in general, I think it's, it is largely a survivor player thing. As you mentioned, they're very cutthroat survivor is a game that's very quick and that you have to
[01:29:27] [SPEAKER_04] turn on people fast. Yeah. And especially the new era of survivor, the new meta is just like, you cut down the tallest blade of grass, um, and you have to do it fast. Um, and so, uh, they're very much more used to like moving quickly from Alliance to Alliance voting blocks or a thing on survivor. Um, and so when they feel like there's, there's a gut feeling, they, they go with it
[01:29:51] [SPEAKER_05] because they, there's like not a lot of time to sit and think with it. It's just like, you got
[01:29:55] [SPEAKER_04] like a day or two to, yeah. And so that's how they tend to play big brother. We saw it with Sari too. Oh yeah. Uh, she turns on high symbol way too early. Um, and, uh, and so, uh, I think there's this, there's just this notion, like we can't let Drew, he's got too much of our information. He's too connected. Um, and, uh, you know, we don't want to get played by some little Dr. Will. Yeah. Um, so, uh, the, the,
[01:30:22] [SPEAKER_04] the bigger thing I think for us was like, can't like, when is Drew going to realize this? Yeah. Uh, because if he realizes that he can try to do something about it, either win them back over or defect and target them. Um, and that's where it was like, we were waiting and we were waiting and we were waiting and then it just never really happened. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so, uh, I was like,
[01:30:48] [SPEAKER_05] trying really hard to play the middle and I was hoping the other side of the house would like win something. Yeah. And like the first, like four weeks, it was all crossover tool shed. And then week five Lala won the wall. And then we finally were able to like go. And I was hoping just like there, I was always going to be like a smaller target. I thought my target was small, but it seemed like it was like, it was all about Drew apparently for, for a couple of weeks.
[01:31:12] [SPEAKER_04] And this is the, this is the biggest problem, right? Like, because while your position was okay, uh, at least theoretically, uh, the icons were so powerful that they, especially with the information you were bringing to them, which allowed them to maneuver more accurately. Yeah. Uh, they were able to create things like honor society. Yeah. Um, and Dapper Dan's was like,
[01:31:38] [SPEAKER_04] damn, Drew's in it. Uh, so they end up doing, we'll talk about it. Wolfpack. Yeah. I remember that instead. Um, and they just start icing you out of as many of these other relationships as possible.
[01:31:52] [SPEAKER_05] Uh, and that's why I started getting closer with that faith or with that. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. Cause I'm like, uh, they don't seem to like me as much. You can call it FAP. No, it's I'm so used to saying FAP cause like they made us say that, but, but it's always been fab. It's always been the fapening for the American people. Yeah. Um, for the American people.
[01:32:13] [SPEAKER_04] So, uh, so Kamu tells Mallory, she's going up. He says she, uh, he's heard that she was coming for him. Yeah. Which came from you. Uh, yeah, that was maybe one that you didn't have to do.
[01:32:29] [SPEAKER_05] I don't think I had to do that though. Uh, she probably could have been good. Yeah. Uh, she would have been in a better spot at least. But I also like to my defense, I felt like we needed someone in there to win a blockbuster. Like that was like the blockbuster is the weirdest new addition to the game. Yes. It's like, you have to send like a warrior in there who can, who you think could win. Um, and I was always hoping like, I always had faith in Mallory. I felt like she was very capable,
[01:32:55] [SPEAKER_05] especially ever seeing her win that first one. Yeah. That first veto. So I was like, oh, she'll be Jason as the back door because who else was on that block that would be?
[01:33:06] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, it was Jason Mallory and, or sorry, Jason was the back door. It was, um, Lyric, Malory and Lala. Right. And then Lyric wins, uh, or yeah, Lyric could have beat Jason. I think she's
[01:33:19] [SPEAKER_05] very capable as well, especially because she won that veto that week. But I was like, I had more confidence in Mallory. That's why I threw that name out. But did I have to? Probably not.
[01:33:28] [SPEAKER_04] And she knows she's like, it, it must've been drew that said that to him. Like, uh, and so she's again, but again, it like, doesn't, she doesn't really have any other options. Yeah. So it's like, she can't really go in any other significant direction. This is the week. Of course, Devin's gets the diamond power of veto. The best changes the course. Almost as good as the, uh, slot pass. Uh, nearly. Yeah. Uh, when like, obviously the diamond power of veto, we're like,
[01:33:56] [SPEAKER_04] okay, that's kind of expected. He tells D it's good for six weeks. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? I think I lost my mind. Yeah. All the way to like pretty much jury. Like, yeah. Like, yeah. I mean the season, like that's, that's a game winning power. Yeah. Uh, and he didn't even, let me tell you, he didn't even use it in the most effective way. It used it in an effective way, but like you could use that power to prevent yourself from ever needing to use it in the
[01:34:24] [SPEAKER_05] first place. Exactly. If you use it well, just ride it and just have to expire. You just threaten
[01:34:28] [SPEAKER_04] the HOH, right? You're just like, you have enough of a relationship with the HOH that you're like, listen, I got this thing and I really don't want to have to use it. Yeah. Um, and, uh, and, and the threat of a power is largely what keeps him off the block and Lala's HOH as well. Um, but he didn't actively do that anyway. Uh, yeah. What a killer power diamond power of, you know, ridiculous. Uh, I mean, it kind of works out for you, uh, which is kind of part of your plan, right? Yeah. You actually had a conversation with Barrett where you're like, listen, with these powers,
[01:34:57] [SPEAKER_05] like I think our allies are getting them, right? Yeah. I mean, of course they, they came in with the fan base. Uh, and it's like America's voting. Like, especially when we saw Angela got the first one, I was like, okay, like that means Andy or probably next. Uh, for a long time, a lot of us
[01:35:13] [SPEAKER_04] thought this time of power veto is going to get used on you. Yeah. I had a fee, I like to, to target you
[01:35:18] [SPEAKER_05] on, on when Kamu did go up, I was like, it's, it's a coin flip between me and him. Like I, I felt like there was a chance that I could have gone up. That was, I think that was a thought. Yeah. I was like, oh man. Um, and Angela would have beat me, I think. And that she's go to, she did do very well. Yeah. Uh,
[01:35:37] [SPEAKER_04] when he tells D about the diamond power of veto, he also says, uh, you're right. Drew does need to go soon. Um, so this is when he fully capitulates, he says red corner, they're way more easily manipulated. Like there, it's just very easy to convince them of things which has proven to be true. Uh, and he says, even people like Yash are better to keep around than true. Like he should go soon. Um, so at this point, all three of them are like fully ready to make the move. The problem is that Kamu won't do it.
[01:36:06] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Thank you so much. I slept in his HOH bed.
[01:36:11] [SPEAKER_04] So, uh, so D and Angela, they're like ready. They're primed. They're like really frustrated that they can't convince Kamu to target you. So Angela's like, what if we just expose the crossovers to Kamu? Oh, okay. To get him to target true. Yeah. Um, and, uh, and she goes to Devin's with that and Jeff's like, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yes, we should target true, but no, we should not expose the crossovers. That's a terrible idea. Um, and Angela's like, well, they'll find out when we target true
[01:36:39] [SPEAKER_04] anyway. Like we might as well do it now. And he's like, no, no, no. She's like, okay. All right. Um, Lyric then wins the veto. Yes. Uh, pickleball veto. Um, very appropriate.
[01:36:53] [SPEAKER_05] Right. I was like, I can't believe I was like Rome missed it by a week. Uh, she went to the Rome veto, the pickleball veto. Yeah. Um, yeah. Um, this is also pretty important.
[01:37:03] [SPEAKER_04] Taylor pitches to Kamu that they should form an alliance with Devon's primary Mallory and you. That is the initial pitch for the primaries. Well, I was in it. You were, I thought Barrett was, you were an initial pitch. Uh, and Kamu is like, I mean, well, I can think about that. Kamu talks to Devon's about it. And Devon says, Drew's a problem. Drew can't be in this. Uh, and Kamu is like, you should like, you sure? He's
[01:37:31] [SPEAKER_04] like, yeah, Drew's in too many things. And Kamu's like, okay, yeah, I can see that. Okay. We can cut Drew from it. Uh, Taylor talks to Devon's about it and he continues to kind of whittle the list down. Uh, he says to her also like, we can't have Drew in this. He's got too many connections. Um, Kamu joins the conversation. He agrees. Yeah. We're not going to include Drew in this. They keep talking about it. Uh, and, um, and Taylor eventually talks to Devon. He's like, I don't know
[01:37:59] [SPEAKER_04] if Kamu really wants to be in this. He's like, no, I think he does. I think let's just make it a three person thing. Just, just with us. Right. Just to keep Taylor occupied essentially is what Devon's would like to have happen here. Um, her pitch for the primaries. I think you've heard
[01:38:13] [SPEAKER_05] some of it, right? Yeah. The last week we heard it. It was like, everyone has a tether. Yeah.
[01:38:17] [SPEAKER_04] It's very, she got the tethers. She's got the M and M's lined up, color coordinated. Yes. Uh, there's like five trios and she's like, who's going to be your tether? Should Drew be your tether? He's like, no, I don't want a tether. Uh, Devon's, Devon's always resisted having a tether.
[01:38:32] [SPEAKER_05] Uh, and in theory, I like that idea. I think if she did that or like week one, I think I would have been completely on board. I'd be like, that's a great idea.
[01:38:41] [SPEAKER_04] I mean, honestly, if I think that if she had had power, right, if, if any of the people that she had like a good connection to had power, you'll see when Lala wins HOH,
[01:38:54] [SPEAKER_05] the things start moving for, uh, for Taylor. Oh, dude, Taylor, like ran Lala's ran Yasha's like
[01:39:00] [SPEAKER_04] Taylor was pretty low key. So, uh, with Jason's, uh, renom looming, Kamu's looking for an excuse to put him up. He worked, he works up, shops, some, uh, call outs with D who encourages him to call Jason out. Um, but she doesn't want to be involved herself. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, and she uses this again as an opportunity to talk about how, you know, Drew's he's, he's moving, he's moving weird. And Kamu's like, I've been hearing that.
[01:39:26] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Everyone's saying that everyone's saying that, you know, and I, I, I will tell you, I'm feeling, I'm feeling a lot closer to you and Devon's than Drew. And you can see it happening in real time that Kamu is starting to move away from you and towards Devon's and D a large part of it is that he's now being included in these side alliances with Devon's. Um, D is talking to him more, uh, obviously, um, you know, uh, like there's a lot happening there. Uh, you start to think
[01:39:53] [SPEAKER_04] keeping Mallory over Lala might be a good idea. Uh, yeah. Mallory should stay this week, ideally. Uh, but by now they don't like that. They don't like me. The house has already been primed against you. Yeah. So the second you start picking, it's a, it's a lost cause to begin with. Yeah. And when you go to talk to Kamu, he's like no deal. Yeah. And this is exactly what Devon's indeed needed to further sink you with Kamu with the rest of the house. Like look at Drew,
[01:40:23] [SPEAKER_04] he's trying to get his way. He's trying to keep Mallory. And I'm like, he finally, finally, finally is trying to stick up for his allies. Yeah. Right. Now it's like, it's too late. Um, so, uh, Haley talks to Kamu about it and they agree. You can't be trusted. They talk to Chuck. Chuck is looped in. Chuck's like, I'll target Drew. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Um, you and Barrett continue to
[01:40:49] [SPEAKER_04] try to test the waters here, but D and Devon's keep pushing back. Uh, and, um, the, the problem is that even though Haley is primed against you, she also wants Lala to leave. Yeah. So there actually is a moment here where D and Devon's are like, Oh wait, we don't have the votes. If Drew and Barrett and melody and Haley, uh, and like some others go in this direction, we might not have the votes to
[01:41:15] [SPEAKER_04] keep, uh, Lala over melody or Mallory. Uh, so, uh, that's if Jason won the blockbuster. Right. Yeah. So like, we might need to, cause Yash, you had been talking to Yash. Yash was on board. Yeah. Uh, Jason was on board. Um, and so, yeah, I remember this week. Yeah. Yeah. And so they were like, they were about to like throw in the towel, like let's keep Mallory over Lala. Um, but then the tea
[01:41:40] [SPEAKER_05] party happens. Yeah. I don't really know how I feel about the tea party party. A lot was going on there.
[01:41:48] [SPEAKER_04] A lot was going on there. Uh, it was very long and awkward. Yeah. No one wanted to leave because
[01:41:56] [SPEAKER_05] they're like, do you talk about me once I leave? I'm sitting there with the dress and Barrett. We're just like, you get called the middleman. It called like blatantly. I'm like, cool, that's gotta be me and Barrett. Um, cool name though. I was like, that was a great name, but it was really awkward. Uh, just sitting there. It felt like overkill. I didn't think we needed to do all that. Yeah. Um, I felt like Kong was one for the theatrics. I think he wanted
[01:42:22] [SPEAKER_04] to have like a moment. Kamu was all about finding reasons to do things. The reason to put up Jason is that he went back on his word for like winning the veto using the veto, but he was, that was always the plan. So it was like, this is all just a facade. Uh, and, um, and then the other thing we talked about, one of the other things we talked about was like, you know, this is a very sort of like Dan Giesling kind of, I think he's a huge fan of him. Call out play. But, but the problem is that
[01:42:51] [SPEAKER_04] like, Dan was a perpetual underdog. Yeah. Like, yeah, he wasn't like, you know, rubbing it in people's faces as much, you know, you can argue about replacement nominee roulette, but, um,
[01:43:04] [SPEAKER_05] yeah, there was a lot going on there. Yeah. It felt like a weird thing. I was like, Jason already kind of knows he's going up. Um, yeah. And it just felt like kicking somebody while they're down a little bit. I was like, ah, this feels he's one for the theatrics. He loves the TV moments. And we see that later with like bringing Angela up to the gym. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know how it was a weird, weird one for sure.
[01:43:30] [SPEAKER_04] So Kamu has a conversation with Drew, uh, with Devin's about you, uh, after the tea party. Um, and he, at this point it's fully just like, Devin's what's going on with Drew. Like, we got to have a conversation about this because I keep hearing all of these things about him wanting to keep Mallory, about him being sketchy and talking about me, like what's going on here. And Devin's really just like plays this really well. He's like, I mean, here's the thing, whether or not we can trust Drew,
[01:44:00] [SPEAKER_04] we can't trust his position. Um, and Kamu's like, oh, you're right. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, and this is, this is like the moment where Kamu is now fully against you. Uh, he makes a final two with Devin's in this conversation. So now handyman is behind. Oh, it totally felt like that. It's like, we,
[01:44:17] [SPEAKER_05] you didn't, he was like, yeah, you and me, we're going to like not talk too much, but just know I got you back. And I was like, I think that's the, uh, the cue of like, we're done. Yeah. Like he broke
[01:44:25] [SPEAKER_04] up with me. He did. Um, and Devin's talks to D afterwards. He's like, I had a great conversation with Kamu. I think he's with us. And they agree. Crossovers is dead. Wow. That's great.
[01:44:50] [SPEAKER_05] He did. And everything I did was like a reflection of each other. And I was like, that's what happened during his HOH. So we'll talk about that. I'm sure. But yeah. Um,
[01:44:59] [SPEAKER_04] so melody and Mallory try gathering votes, not only for Mallory to stay, but to flip the vote for Jason, Jason too. Yeah. Um, Barrett rats this out to D pretty quickly. He blames melody for it. Um, but again, D at this point doesn't know if she even has the numbers to stop this. So she's kind of like, well, if you want to do it, you can do it, I guess. Um, but you seem skeptical of this move.
[01:45:23] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. You also tell them about it. Uh, and this is a pretty big blocker, uh, for melody and Mallory who get kind of frustrated. Like if we don't have drew, we can't make this happen. And this is like, this is again, one of those moments where like, if drew knew how much they
[01:45:41] [SPEAKER_05] did not trust it, I would have kept Jason in a heartbeat. Um, but I thought I had the, I thought crossover was like way tighter than it actually was. I knew they're, they were like, kind of worried about me being in the middle, especially after the whole call out during the tea party. But I just, Jason was such like, Jason's such a smart guy. Jason won that blockbuster the week before I was like, this guy's like, and then he did the teapot thing. I was like, he knows a lot about me. Like he could air me out whenever he wants. I was like, I need him out.
[01:46:09] [SPEAKER_05] But if I knew that actually like the icons weren't on my side or the tool shed period, I think I would have kept him. Yeah. I think it would have been better. And then he probably would have won something and take a shot at the icons. And then I would have been anti-icon for the rest of the season. I wish I wish I didn't do that. But I can't be mad because I made it far, but I know, right? That's, well, that's the thing. It's like
[01:46:35] [SPEAKER_04] all of this stuff is what we're talking about. This impending doom and the doom does come, but then you just keep winning. Yeah. Yeah. I just kept getting lucky. It's better to be lucky than good. That was, I was, I was, I said for like half the season, I said, that is the theme of the season is better be lucky than good. Like that was,
[01:46:54] [SPEAKER_05] I mean, that was both you and Devins really for me. True. Yeah. We played a very similar game. Yeah. I stole that from my dentist that I worked from. Yeah. It's better to be lucky than good. Yeah. I just kept saying it throughout the whole season. Remember, I was telling you that Angela
[01:47:10] [SPEAKER_04] wanted to rat out crossovers to Kamu, uh, to try to like get it. She now, now it's like, oh, well, Drew and Barrett, they might get their way. They might keep Mallory because we don't have the votes. So Angela decides, screw it. I'm going rogue. I'm going to do it. She goes up to Kamu. Uh, and she says up in the HOH room, uh, she says, Kamu, Drew is fucking playing us. Okay.
[01:47:36] [SPEAKER_04] He's trying to, he's trying to get Mallory to stay. Uh, he's got this, he's got the whole side. You should see him trying to, you should hear him trying to play you and D against each other. Um, and he's saying, he's saying that later in the game, he wants to go after red corner. And, and, uh, Kamu goes, you mentioned us by name, red corner. She's like, yes. He's like,
[01:47:59] [SPEAKER_04] how does he know that? I don't fucking know. He said, he said red corner. Yeah, I think he did. Are you sure? I'm, I'm pretty sure. Dude. By, by name, he said red corner. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Dang. And that's when she realizes, wait, I don't know. I don't, I don't know what made him. Wait a minute. Maybe me and D were talking about red corner. I don't know. Maybe drew didn't say it.
[01:48:25] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Uh, he goes, Oh, okay. Is, is Angela in red corner yet? Or like she's, she's been invited to
[01:48:30] [SPEAKER_05] read cause I was like, did she out herself or no. So, so it's just like, that's crazy that she like,
[01:48:35] [SPEAKER_04] okay. Fully accidentally. I mean, and you know, we can talk many times tool shed was said in front of Yash.
[01:48:41] [SPEAKER_05] Of course. I'm, I, I think I have the most cause he was like an honorary member in my mind. Yeah. Uh, but I wasn't, I think he was in it more than I was.
[01:48:49] [SPEAKER_04] He kind of was. Um, she says, Kamu, I just want you to know he's a very shifty boy. Okay. Uh, and Kamu's like, okay, I'll go down and see what drew's saying. So this is out in the backyard on the hammock. Kamu comes down, uh, and you've now been set up. They, they prompt you to start pitching for Mallory to stay. Yeah. On the hammock. It's like Haley and
[01:49:12] [SPEAKER_04] Chuck are there. Uh, or is it just me? I think it's you, Angela D, uh, and Kamu now. Okay. Uh, and I'm like, yeah, like, I think we should keep, you're like devil's advocate. You know, I just feel like, you know, maybe this is the move. Kamu argues back. And then after you leave and just like, see, see what I was talking about. Um, and Kamu's just like, D does drew know about
[01:49:37] [SPEAKER_04] red corner? Oh my God. Yeah. And she's like, no, I don't. Uh, and then like after this whole thing, and just like, I'm so sorry, D I'm the real messy bitch.
[01:49:48] [SPEAKER_05] Dude, Angela's the best dude. She is so funny, man. That's so crazy. Um, that they were just like, Drew is the biggest issue in the house. Is that true? Was I though? No, I don't. I felt like I was, I felt like I was good for them. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, so that's so funny. It was, we really felt like
[01:50:09] [SPEAKER_04] this whole crossovers thing was going to come to this disastrous close. Uh, and they were going to target you. It was going to blow everything up. And then they were going to, it was going to be a high some situation. They were going to lose their power to red corner. Um, now red corner was very easily persuaded by them. So maybe that wouldn't have been an issue, but they were too good at competitions. Yeah. Uh, to, to, to, yeah. Um, so, uh, Kamu talks to, to Devin's about you
[01:50:35] [SPEAKER_04] again after all this stuff. Uh, and Devin's just continues to just bury the knife. Just like, yes. Uh, Devin's tells D and Angela he's ready. He wants to win HOH next week. He wants to be the one to take
[01:50:47] [SPEAKER_05] you. Devin says that? Yeah. That's awesome. Um, I feel so special, dude. Like the fact that my name was
[01:50:52] [SPEAKER_04] like such a hot topic, this is before. Cause so now, cause you, I'm sure, you know, this week, there's a moment you have with Devin's, um, where you out in the backyard where Devin's just loses his cool on you and Barry. Um, you, you don't remember. Oh, well, we're sitting on the, on the
[01:51:10] [SPEAKER_05] couches on the corner. Uh, yeah. In the backyard. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I definitely didn't help
[01:51:14] [SPEAKER_04] myself. So, cause I think that like you and Baird after we were like, Oh wow. Like we were maybe pushing it a little too far. Like he was already done. Like that was, that wasn't him getting mad at you for doing a thing. That was him. Like I'm done with you guys. The mask came off for a second and he revealed like that he really wasn't with you. Um, uh, but you, but you were poking and
[01:51:38] [SPEAKER_05] prodding him questions. Of course. I mean, that's, see, that's the issue is I think I have too much fun and like, I love to like, like tease people and, and I didn't realize that they did not trust me.
[01:51:49] [SPEAKER_04] They're just like, this kid's a jerk. Yeah. Um, I mean, to be fair, like, I think that while there was initially a lot of talk of like, not trusting you, you're sketchy, all this stuff. Uh, it does eventually turn into like, we love Drew. We're not there yet, but it does turn into, we love Drew and we can't trust him. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. See, it turns around. Um, so Melody and
[01:52:16] [SPEAKER_04] Mallory back off the Jason plan. They can't trust that you'll be on board. And then at the same time, Devins is now leveraging this new tethers alliance, the primary lines with Taylor to apply pressure on her to vote, to keep Lala, no matter what, like you're like, we might need your vote, Taylor. Like you're going to be with us, right? Like we're in an alliance now. Um, it's very funny moment after he leaves that conversation. She's like, fuck, fuck, fuck. Really? Yeah. I love Taylor,
[01:52:39] [SPEAKER_05] man. She's so like, she really just goes, fuck. Dude, the icons, man, they, they really
[01:52:45] [SPEAKER_04] crushed it this season. Um, but here's the thing. So, uh, she gets pissed at you for leaking this plan because you, yes, because this plan to save Jason gets leaked by both you and Barry. Yeah. Yash and Taylor both wanted to do the plan. Yeah. When it gets leaked and Devins comes and applies pressure on Taylor, she's like, well, how did he find out? She talks to Yash and Yash is like,
[01:53:12] [SPEAKER_04] it has to be drew. Drew is the one that doesn't want to do it. Yeah. So he must've told them. And this is when you lose both Yash and Taylor. Yeah. Um, this is the beginning of Yash who will
[01:53:23] [SPEAKER_01] eventually say whatever daddy, Devin says, baby boy, drew follows. The kid has no spine.
[01:53:29] [SPEAKER_04] Dude, Yash is the DR master, bro. He is. I love that. Yeah. Um, so this is, this is bad for you and things are really starting to spiral. Dude, just keeps eliminating them. And Yash now realizing he can't trust you, uh, decides he needs to go somewhere else. Uh, and Kamu also now without the handyman needs to find somebody else. There you go. Perfect combination. I hate your fan club. The two of them
[01:53:57] [SPEAKER_04] come together. They talk about not trusting you. Uh, and they create what will eventually be called the Wolfpack Alliance. Um, initially with Devin's Kamu kind of vouches for, he's like, Hey, why don't we work with Devin's? And then, uh, and then they're like, well, we don't know how Devin's feels about D let's, let's try to figure out how Devin feels about D before, like without telling him we might invite her. And then we'll see. And then they're like, so Devin's, how do you feel about D? And he's like, I think, I don't know. We could work with her. And they're like, Oh, perfect. Yeah.
[01:54:27] [SPEAKER_04] Why don't we bring D in then? Yeah. Uh, and it's like, yeah. He eventually learns, you know? Um, so the Wolfpack is formed. Jason is evicted week four. How are you doing? We're a couple hours
[01:54:41] [SPEAKER_05] in now. Oh dude, I'm having fun. This is like, cause I love, I mean, I just, I could talk about Big Brother all day. Yeah. So I love it. So yeah. Week four is like the most things are getting more
[01:54:52] [SPEAKER_04] fun for me. This is, it felt like this was the end of the first era of the season because it was going to be your eviction. It was like the drew arrow will be over. The entire structure of the house will be reset. Like that's how this week is going to go. Um, now initially Haley who wins the HOH, she wants to target Taylor. That's her target. Yeah. That's, that was real for a moment. For a moment. Uh, Melody and you were going to be the pawns. Yes.
[01:55:22] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, Lala would have been the replacement nominee. That was her initial plan. Um, but D and Angela, they're already celebrating cause they know they have influence over Haley and they're like, true is going to be back. And just like, I can't wait to see his face. Uh, lyric tries to use her connection with Kamu that she developed over the course of his HOH to keep herself off the block. This is going to backfire. Uh, Kamu who has been pivoting away from you,
[01:55:47] [SPEAKER_04] uh, is like, okay, lyrics. Another person I can pull in now that drew's gone. Uh, and drew will be cut this week. That's fine. Um, something I talk about with Kamu this week is that because you know a lot about his game, he also doesn't want to get exposed when you get targeted. So Kamu spends the entire week, like hoodie up, like skulking around. Yeah. Like he doesn't want to get seen with Haley or Chuck cause he doesn't want you to think
[01:56:16] [SPEAKER_04] that he's in on the decision. Yeah. So he's like constantly trying to just like,
[01:56:20] [SPEAKER_05] just like, I remember making fun of him too. I dressed up like him one day and I did like the whole hoodie over the thing. I didn't realize it was just like, I don't want to be seen
[01:56:27] [SPEAKER_04] with him. Yeah. The enemy. Um, so, uh, the problem for Kamu and lyric is that, uh, the second they kind of link up, it's immediately clocked and everyone starts getting suspicious. And this is ultimately most partly your saving grace, but more so melody saving grace. Um, that, uh, that Haley and Chuck, they don't like how close Kamu is with lyric. And D and Angela also don't
[01:56:56] [SPEAKER_04] like it. They are prone to paranoia. They don't want Kamu pulling in lyric. Um, and then the whole lyric thing plays out. She throws everyone under the bus. Uh, this is well known in the house. Um, and, uh, and, and it, it seems like it might work initially, but obviously backfires. I got
[01:57:14] [SPEAKER_05] like, this is so interesting. Like lyric, like I give her a lot more credit now. She was playing. Oh, she was dude. She's crushing. Like I, I have way more respect now for like her game. I was like, Oh, I don't know what she was up to obviously. Cause like there's so many people
[01:57:26] [SPEAKER_04] in the house, but like, dude, she was making plays. She did so well to stay off the block during Devon's HOH. It never should have been her to come off the block. Um, and then the following HOH with Kamu, she wins the veto and develops this relationship with Kamu while working on Chuck and Yash. Um, and she still has this connection to D for a while. The problem becomes she's almost too effective, right? Her connection to Kamu, Kamu starts pushing hard for her to
[01:57:54] [SPEAKER_04] be protected. And they're like, well, why is Kamu pushing so hard? Um, and also she's had to burn so much capital just surviving the past few weeks that it's like, now she's starting to be seen as more of a threat because of how effective she's been.
[01:58:10] [SPEAKER_05] Great. Good on her. Like, good job. Shout out Lyric. I'm sorry. It ended the way it did. I love Paw Patrol.
[01:58:19] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, she makes a final two with Yash this week as well.
[01:58:22] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah.
[01:58:23] [SPEAKER_04] Lyric and Yash. Um, and, uh, and while they make the, Yash is like, yeah, I can't trust you anymore. So I'm looking for people like she makes a final two with, with Lyric, uh, which he is very loyal to, uh, like he, he ride or dies with Lyric, um, which doesn't last that long, but he does. Uh, Haley tells you that you could go up as a pawn. Um, and you tell
[01:58:47] [SPEAKER_04] the crossovers like, oh, this is good because I'll, this is an excuse to target red corner. Exactly. Uh, and they go, oh, thank you for telling us that. And they go up to Haley and they say, true. Drew wants to target you. Now he's burned. So if you thought he was just a pawn, he needs to be the target. And she goes, okay, fine. He guess he could go.
[01:59:11] [SPEAKER_05] I had no idea. I, man, it's so funny. They're just plotting on everything. I told them. They're like, it's what I think I said it too. In the house, it was like everything I tell them, like, it feels like they just use it against me. Yeah. And I, I hope in my head, I felt like I was telling them less as the season went on. You do, you have a conversation with
[01:59:29] [SPEAKER_04] Barrett where you say, we weren't like finessed by Devons to keep, to like get rid of Mallory. Right. Like we weren't like, cause, cause you both agreed eventually to keep, to, to vote Mallory out. Yeah. Um, and that was like, oh, that was a whole big thing. People were very pissed at both of you. Um, and that was, again, that was like the, oh, look at them capitulating
[01:59:52] [SPEAKER_04] to the icons. They're willing to vote out Mallory over Lala really when they have the votes. Um, and it's also something that both Mallory and Malady will remain pissed at you about, especially the more they learn about that week. Of course. Um, but you do have this, this, this conversation there where you're like, did we didn't get finessed? Did we like, I don't think so.
[02:00:19] [SPEAKER_04] And that was, that was mostly it though. Um, and, and just to be clear, you, you have,
[02:00:28] [SPEAKER_05] were planning to vote out Mallory against Lala. Uh, I think I would have had to, cause I, I still felt like in that moment I was like, I got the crossovers. So I was like, I will just do, you know, stay loyal to them. Yeah. If I, if only, if only I do, man, that would have been
[02:00:43] [SPEAKER_04] disastrous. If Jason had won, that'd be a blockbuster. Oh yeah. And you had lost Mallory. Um, so you go up on the block. Kamu's pretending to have nothing to do with it. Yes. Hooded up. I didn't. What? Whoa. You're on the ball. No, dude, that sucks. I'm so, I don't know why she's doing this. It makes no sense. He did a good job. Meanwhile, this is another very important part of your relationship with Taylor. He tells Taylor that you're the reason she went up on the block.
[02:01:09] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, because you were the one that, uh, that like, uh, ratted her out with, um, you know, all this.
[02:01:17] [SPEAKER_05] Oh, like the, like I thought she was crying because Haley won. Yes. Which I don't, I don't know if it's true. If she was crying because of that, I don't know. You may as well have seen it. Uh, yeah. I don't think that's something that we saw on the feeds. Yeah. I saw her upset and I was like, oh, it's probably because Haley that I knew like, they didn't have like the best relationships. I was like,
[02:01:35] [SPEAKER_04] I understand. Yeah. And so he's like mid throwing you under the bus and you have not room and you walk in and she immediately just confronts you about it. He's like, no. Yeah. And then he goes, dude, I didn't mean to do any of that. It's my bad. And I'm like, oh, it's like, whatever. He very much
[02:02:01] [SPEAKER_04] for your relationship with her. Um, this is also though, when we get another power introduced, uh, we eventually know it's D but she does not tell a soul. Yeah. Uh, Devon's told her and they had come up with a plan. So Devon's, I'm sure he's told you about this now. I think, I think I saw you tell him to tell you about it. He found the pattern. Yes. He told me about it too. Yeah. Yeah. It was, I was like, okay. He told D about it. So D was able to do the pattern as well. Uh,
[02:02:30] [SPEAKER_04] and they had come up with a code word for if she got a power. Um, and I don't remember what it was. Uh, but she was supposed to tell him like right away. Yeah. And so she comes out, doesn't say anything. We're like, I guess it's possible that D doesn't have a power. Yeah. She's not even really telling. Could you guys see how close votes were or not really? No. So you have Jason was told that he was in the top three on the week that he was evicted. That makes sense. That's the only other
[02:02:59] [SPEAKER_04] piece of information we know. Um, but then I come out, but then you come out happy as hell. And you're talking about coins. You're talking about, and to be fair, because this happened, I, every time you talk about a coin for the rest of the season, I'm like, Oh, he talks about coins
[02:03:17] [SPEAKER_05] a lot. Yeah. Yeah. I love coins. I mean, I mean, Rick Devins with the coin flip for him survivor. Exactly. You know, but, uh, that was the funniest thing to learn coming outside of it is everybody like, he had the coin to destiny. Why isn't he using it? My friend hops on a podcast. He's
[02:03:32] [SPEAKER_04] like defending me. Drew's an idiot. If he doesn't use it. I, I want an update. I say I've, my guess is that D has it. And I don't think Drew does. And the internet fucking like comes at destroys. They're like, you're an idiot. He obviously has the coin. You don't know anything. It would be how on in the world that I'd be Dean of though. Because there was a lot of online
[02:03:59] [SPEAKER_04] sympathy for you at this point. Okay. All of this stuff I'm talking about. I'm sure it feels like it, it feels something to you. Yeah. Obviously the internet was feeling it too. Like a lot of the fan base was feeling like this sucks. Like they're really like this kid's so loyal to them and they just keep ragging on him and they're, they're not right. Like he's, he's, he's loyal to them. So people think you have the coin. Yes. Uh, you start talking. And so I'm, I'm getting a bunch of
[02:04:29] [SPEAKER_04] heat. Cause I'm like, I don't, I think D probably has it. Uh, and then the, then we go a whole other day without learning D has it. And during that day, you're saying things like guys, if I win HOH, if I win HOH next week, I've got a plan. It's a weird plan, but like, like it'll look like I'm doing something, but then it'll, I'll actually be doing something else. And it's just
[02:04:54] [SPEAKER_04] like, is he, is he talking about the coin? Is he talking about like winning HOH and then using the coin on himself to overtake his own nominations to make it seem like he's, cause that's something that Quinn actually considered, considered doing when he had an HOH takeover power. Uh, and we're like, and at that point I was like, if, if he has this thing and this is really his plan, I'm going to lose my mind because he's about to go home. Uh, and then finally we found out that D has,
[02:05:24] [SPEAKER_05] did she like tell Devin's or, or, or episode told you that she kept, kept pre-order wraps.
[02:05:29] [SPEAKER_04] The episode eventually told us, uh, she kept it under wraps for a while. Uh, she didn't tell Devin's that week at all. Um, uh, in fact, uh, yeah, Devin's is the first person she tells, um, but she soon tells common too. We'll talk about that. Um, so Barrett does try to like talk to you. He's like, if you're going on the block, like, I'm not sure, I'm not sure you're a pawn. Yeah. Um, but he still doesn't know until shortly after that conversation.
[02:05:58] [SPEAKER_04] D finally fills Barrett in on all the anti you stuff. Um, you've been too sketchy. You're going on the block now. You've got to go. She lays it all out. Doesn't really take ownership of it. Like it's still kind of like Haley's doing it, but like we have to, um, because we agree we can't trust Drew. Um, and Barrett is like, okay. He's just down. He's down. And this is like,
[02:06:27] [SPEAKER_05] I don't like, but I don't blame him. Right. There's no reason to stick your neck out for me. Is there? Like, I felt like I was his number one dude, but I feel like it was such a lost cause
[02:06:38] [SPEAKER_04] in their eyes. Like maybe he's just, well, he doesn't know how much of a lost cause to be fair. Okay. He doesn't, he doesn't know how much of a lost cause. Like, uh, but, but I actually explained the, the, the issue that I had with Barrett through up basically up until, um, you, you're like third time on the block or second, second time on the D's HOH, um, is that he doesn't do enough pushing back. Right. Like he should have some stake. I felt like he never really
[02:07:07] [SPEAKER_05] had like any sort of like opinion on anything in the, like, the car, like he was kind of just like,
[02:07:13] [SPEAKER_04] exactly. Like, and it's just like, you know, and, and I get it. Cause on one hand it's like, you don't want to show your hand until you have the power to do something about it. Yeah. But it was like, he kind of might've had the power to do something about it the previous week. He could have voted to keep Mallory in the event that, or he could have like pushed to flip the vote to keep Jason. If he wanted to like, that was some power. Yeah. But you know, I understand why he didn't like, at least with the Jason vote, he was way in with them voting out Mallory, I think would
[02:07:42] [SPEAKER_04] have been wild for him. But, um, but then, uh, it just felt like in these conversations, he wasn't trying to influence, he was just trying to like survive. Right. Uh, which is a way to play the game and it might've worked, but like, if you want to take your own fate into your hands, like you need to be able to use the power that you have. And that's what we talked about in week one, when you guys had the ability to save Ashley, you wanted to, but instead you kind of went to
[02:08:10] [SPEAKER_04] Ashley and tried to have her do it herself because you were sort of didn't realize the amount of power that you held in the game. Um, D and Devin's quickly learned, oh, we do have power in this game and they started using it. Uh, whereas Barrett and you sometimes we're kind of like, let's just keep riding the wave of where we're going rather than trying to like take control of this ship and control our own destinies. Um, and that's where things like riding the ship can work,
[02:08:40] [SPEAKER_04] staying safe can work, but if you're wrong about your actual position, which was the case, it's not going to go well. And, uh, and two, like you just get unlucky. Like there's a lot of different things that can happen. You can, you can be safe for now, but then things change or, you know, like, oh, well I can't keep Mallory this week because it will expose my spot. Uh, now I can't keep Jason this week. I can't keep melody this week. Cause now I don't have the numbers to do so. And now all of a sudden I'm, I'm looking down the barrel of like myself,
[02:09:07] [SPEAKER_04] you know, top six shore. But like, I need to win my way out to the end and I'm sitting here with common, you know what I mean? Uh, like people I don't want to be here with. So, uh, it's a tough game and there's no real like solid right way to play it necessarily. That's why it's fun. So you can play it whatever you want. Yeah. But, um, but this is definitely when it was like, could, could Barrett have talked them out of this? Maybe, I don't know. Maybe it would have backfired. Maybe if he had tried, it would have made them think you need to go. Cause ultimately
[02:09:35] [SPEAKER_04] they do change their minds. Um, but anyway, this is roughly when Barrett turns, uh, he talks to Devin's about you. Yeah. Devin says, cause he, I think he, he hears it from D and he's like, okay, but he's like, but how does Devin's feel? And he goes to Devin's and he's like, what's going on with Drew? And Devin's is like, yeah, it's just, you know, he's just a sketch ball. Like
[02:10:03] [SPEAKER_04] general sketch balliness. It's like too much. And Barrett's like, what about me? Am I sketch ball? And Devin's like, no, no, you're good. Which wasn't true at the time. Yeah. They were,
[02:10:13] [SPEAKER_05] they were also worried about him, but less, I feel like they were always less worried,
[02:10:17] [SPEAKER_04] but they were less worried about him. And so they, cause this was again, the thing, like in Barrett's mind, it might've been like, okay, well, as long as it's not me, the problem was it was also him. So like him sticking up for you at that point didn't seem like it would matter. Yeah. Um, because he was already the next in line once you left. Um, but, uh, but at this point, like Devin's is like, no, we're not down with Drew. Uh, which is when I think he fully gives up
[02:10:45] [SPEAKER_04] hope. And at that point he starts contributing a little bit, like, well, I was talking to Drew and he was a little bit worried about you guys playing him. Like he was talking about us being finessed and like, uh, you know, like, so you're, you're kind of right. Um, and so, uh, this is like, again, that literally your last lifeline, like there's nobody left to defend you. Um, Angela tells the
[02:11:12] [SPEAKER_04] cameras, she knows that you've been after her. That's why you need to go. Yeah. Angela's so right. I was so gutting for the whole time. Um, and then Drew, this is a pretty do or die veto for you.
[02:11:25] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. And I like tried really hard to win it. Right. No, I know. Um, it still felt like in the moment that like Taylor was the main target. I'm sure like going into the veto that I already changed. Um, yeah. Yeah. So like, I, I like really liked my odds in a blockbuster. I don't know why just blind confidence is kind of in the name of my game. Um, so I was like, Oh, if Haley or Chuck win, they're going to keep them the same and I'll beat melody or Taylor in the blockbuster,
[02:11:53] [SPEAKER_05] which is like kind of what I did, but like, I should have just, I should just won the veto.
[02:11:58] [SPEAKER_04] Huh? Yeah. Well, especially because like you were, you were on the block with Matt with melody. Yeah. And so it's like, even if you did survive, there's a huge chance melody leaves, which is
[02:12:07] [SPEAKER_05] such a bad thing. Just like not a good thing. It was like, they definitely wanted one of us to go no matter what, as soon as lyric went up and then like it changed like last second. Yeah. We'll talk
[02:12:16] [SPEAKER_04] about it. Uh, so, um, yeah, lyric becomes the replacement instead of Lala, uh, because lyric is too close to common. Yeah. Uh, that is sort of how that shifts. Um, that was a good move.
[02:12:33] [SPEAKER_05] I couldn't figure out if it was a good move for them because I was like, they're trying to work with her. And then Haley kept mentioning she didn't want to make an emotional move by putting up Lala
[02:12:42] [SPEAKER_04] who like would 100% put her up. Yeah. Haley had his whole, this whole shtick. I don't know if she ever did it with you where she had a box of cheese. It's, um, and she was like, Angela, a cheese. It is a cheese. It you're meant to eat it. Oh yeah. No, I never had that one. You're just meant to eat it. It's like, because she's not going to play the emotional game and target Lala. I w I was like, that's not an emotional, like you don't have a good relationship. Yeah. If she's not,
[02:13:10] [SPEAKER_05] she, she is going to put you up if she wins. Like, I feel like that's like, you should put her up.
[02:13:14] [SPEAKER_04] And, and I don't know if Lyric would have. Lyric was very much just looking for a home. She was willing to say whatever she needed to. She was a dangerous player, but she didn't really have a lot of other options, especially if melody or you ended up leaving. I mean, if melody left, it would be worse for her. Um, and so, uh, you know, I guess worst case scenario, maybe like, because like the thing too, is that like the person going up wasn't supposed to leave. It was always supposed to be you melody. Um, so this was always going to be a pawn situation at
[02:13:43] [SPEAKER_04] which point why piss off free agent Lyric, uh, instead put up Lala who at the time nobody thinks can retaliate. Um, and yeah, uh, and so, um, but the problem is that they think she's too close to Kamu. Um, and so Kamu tries to fight it, but that only makes it worse. Uh, Barrett lets Mallory know that Lyric is going up and that you are the true target. Um, so now Mallory knows that you're the
[02:14:12] [SPEAKER_05] target. And I think Mallory mentions it to me twice. Yeah. And I'm like, nah, you're crazy. You have no idea. I've been working with the icons since day two. We're like this super tight.
[02:14:24] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Um, Angela and Hayley make a final two at this point. That makes sense. Angela has a great relationship with Hayley and she's about to destroy it for no reason. Um, the icons are worried about you outing crossovers after you get voted out. Devins is like, I hope not. That'd be bad sports. Oh, like the second I get like, you get voted out and then on your way out the door, you out the
[02:14:46] [SPEAKER_05] crossover. They're really worried. Yeah. I don't know if I would have done that though. I don't think I would. I would, I like respect the game too much. I feel like that's kind of lame. I hate when people do that. I think it's just like, I think you're also just like,
[02:14:59] [SPEAKER_04] and I also felt like I was with them. Yeah. Yeah. Like you going through the week, you thought that there was a chance that you might leave because of red corner. Yeah. It was actually, and, and I think if you had been voted out, I don't think it would have registered fast enough that they, that they were the people that you should even be writing.
[02:15:17] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. You know? Yeah. I don't think so. Uh, even if I did know, I don't think I would do it. I don't like, I don't really like when they do that. It's just like, I feel like you're out,
[02:15:26] [SPEAKER_04] you're out. You should just like, just walk out. Do you agree with Devin's bad sports and shit?
[02:15:30] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. A little bit. I always agree with daddy Devin's hit the button again, hit the button again. I'm like their baby. No, I just, I love the game so much. I feel like it's just like, I don't know. Not my favorite thing to do.
[02:15:46] [SPEAKER_04] He makes a deal with Mallory in return for not being the replacement. Yeah. You guys all know about that. Uh, then a whole other thing happens with Lyric. So Yash finds out that Lyric is going to be the replacement. Now Yash gives her a heads up. He's like, you got to do something because you're going to be in trouble. Um, so she rushes to Kamu and Chuck, uh, who then make another push for her to stay off the block, which again, backfires, pushes Haley even more toward putting Lyric on the block.
[02:16:13] [SPEAKER_04] And in the process, she rats Mallory out again by saying that Mallory is going to target Haley and them. Uh, and then this gets back to Mallory who initially, when she was told that you were going to be the target was like, I'd rather drew leave than Lyric. Yeah, of course. But when she hears about this, she's like, okay, screw Lyric. Like I want Lyric gone. I want you to stay. Um, so, uh, Barrett does start bonding more with Devon's now that, Oh yeah. They're going on their runs. Yeah. They're going on their runs now. I'm like,
[02:16:42] [SPEAKER_04] oh shit. You're still talking about me. And Mallory warns you that you might not have the votes.
[02:16:47] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Like sitting up to the dining table. Right. I'm just like, yeah. I was like, no, you're crazy. Like I've got the votes. You go straight to Devon's and Barrett who are busy
[02:16:56] [SPEAKER_04] bonding about voting you out. Um, and, and Barrett's asking Devon's about like, yeah, there's a thing called the diamond. Devon's is like, what's the diamond power of veto do? Uh, embarrassed in the gym. It's in the gym. Yeah. I remember this. And Barrett's explaining it. Uh, and he's like, man, it'd be really nice if one of us had that. And Devon's like, would be, uh, you do, you do the three of you have another conversation about it. Like later, like the week,
[02:17:24] [SPEAKER_04] the week he uses that we just grill them. Um, but so you interrupt them talking, uh, you're and you're like, guys, Mallory was just like, I don't think you have the votes. Can you, can you believe, can you believe Mallory doesn't think? Oh my God. And they're like, oh yeah. Oh wow. That's, that's tough. Yeah. Weird. Weird that she doesn't, she doesn't know anything, does she? Yeah. She has no idea. And you're like, yeah, it really sucked to get voted out this week like that. Yeah. It'd be really,
[02:17:54] [SPEAKER_05] it'd suck if like my alliance from like, you know, day two, the people I like really love and like I'm loyal to would like throw me out for no reason. That would be, I'd be awful. Good thing. That's not happening. Mallory. You're so silly. Mallory. You're so silly.
[02:18:07] [SPEAKER_04] So you leave the gym, you go into the HOH room where Angela and Haley are talking about voting you out. Perfect. And you go guys, Mallory saying, I don't have no votes. And they're like, what? Why is she saying that? Cause they're like, she's leaking.
[02:18:24] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yeah. They're like, why is she saying all that stuff? And also how does she know?
[02:18:27] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. And so they get it. They were like suspicious of Barrett about that. Is that how she figured it out? Or is she just like, just some more like lyric? Barrett told her. Barrett. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so, uh, Kamu, this whole lyric thing is happening. Kamu gets sketched out by the whole lyric situation. Uh, the, the fact that she came to him and Chuck and tried to push and throw Mallory under the bus and got him to do, he's now like, okay, I think maybe she's trying to play me. Uh, so now he wants lyric gone. Kamu does. Kamu wants lyric gone. He starts pushing for lyric to leave
[02:18:57] [SPEAKER_04] over melody. Okay. If you win the blockbuster. Yes. Uh, but Devin's is like, no, Drew has to be weakened. If he stays, melody has to leave. Yeah. Uh, so Kamu's like, okay, that's fine. Let's if, if we need to get out melody that we can. Um, and I mentioned this, uh, primarily because Kamu was eventually going to be blindsided. If you know,
[02:19:16] [SPEAKER_05] that's what I'm saying. It's wild that he was up first to be like, no, no, we should. Well, I understand. Cause he had a good relationship with melody. He was, Kamu was so down to go on it in,
[02:19:26] [SPEAKER_04] in, in whatever direction. So like if they just let him, they need, if they let him in on it,
[02:19:30] [SPEAKER_05] he wouldn't, he probably would have been it a hundred percent. So they kind of just blindsided him for no reason and blew up the tool shed for fun. Yes. That's so cool. This is when FAP forms. Yes. Yes. FAP, the FAP, the FAP, the gym, right? Yep. Uh, melody, the president was melody or
[02:19:49] [SPEAKER_04] melody. I think Mallory might have been. I think Mallory was the president. Was she? Um, what you're the American revolution. Melody is their, your leader. Uh, she declares that that means that they have to keep her over you. Yeah. And then you say, well, I'm going to impeach you
[02:20:04] [SPEAKER_05] then. Uh, and then you say, I'd rather be lucky than good. Yes, exactly. That's been my whole name of the game. I don't think I'm good. I think I'm just lucky. Um, that's why I needed my coin.
[02:20:20] [SPEAKER_04] So here's, here's how this goes down because the vote is you or Malady. And it's been that way.
[02:20:26] [SPEAKER_05] Like the whole week. And then like morning of it's going down. So there's, and I'm just trying to get
[02:20:30] [SPEAKER_04] hyped up. Cause I gotta win this cause I'm like, I'm screwed. So the night before there's a few things that happened. One, Yash has been campaigning for Lyric to stay. He really wants Lyric to stay. He wants one of you and Melody gone. He he's got a final two with Lyric. Uh, funny thing. Lyric actually doesn't trust Yash that much. Uh, she, the last thing she tells Melody, I think don't trust Yash. She thinks that Yash flipped on her. Yash was the most loyal person. Um, Yash says to D and Devins, we need to keep Lyric. I've got her. Don't worry.
[02:21:00] [SPEAKER_04] Right. Because he's now in the wolf pack with them. He's like, I've got Lyric. I didn't know the wolf pack was that early. That's so cool. Uh, he says, uh, drew it, you and Melody need to be split up. And this seems to be a little bit like of a red, red light for D. She's like, hold on red flag for D. She's like, Yash has Lyric. Like when did that happen? Um, and then it's this whole, there's a little bit of controversy here. She has a long diary room session. She comes out
[02:21:28] [SPEAKER_04] and she says to Devins, you know, Drew was a big target in the game. Like I may have become their shield. Everyone's trying to protect Lyric. Nobody's trying to protect Drew. Like what if we keep Drew as a shield? And Devins is like, I don't know. Did this come from the diary room? Is that, yeah. I'm hearing like something less than like, and she goes, no, it was my thought,
[02:21:57] [SPEAKER_04] but the feeds cut after that question is asked. So a lot of people like all the diary room convinced her to keep Drew. Really? Um, I wonder if that's true or not. Devins asked her the question. She says, no, be interested to hear it from D exactly how this went down. Um, in my opinion, this one came from this, this Yash push, I think really set her off and got her thinking. Um, but, uh,
[02:22:24] [SPEAKER_04] but she, she has completely 180. She now wants to keep you. Um, so she goes to Angela. Devins is still a little on the fence. Yeah. She goes to Angela. This is all the night before. Remember I see him like at midnight and I say something to Devins, I think that's yeah. This has happened after it's, it's early in the night. Okay. So you have a whole thing later that night. Yeah. Yeah. Um,
[02:22:50] [SPEAKER_04] she goes to Angela in the gym. She says, Angela, Haley is the one that put drew up, not us. So he'll be after Haley and not us. And like, why are we getting her to drew for them? And, and just like, well, we're the ones that convinced them to go after Drew. I was like, yeah, but still, uh, and so Angela's like, okay, I mean, I can, I can be down cause they're getting worried about common. Um, and so they feel like they need people to go after common because common has been spending all
[02:23:19] [SPEAKER_04] week sculpting around and, uh, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Just hiking around and talking a lyric and they don't know where he's at. Yeah. The truth is he's loyal to them. Yeah. But in the same way that they suspected you, they're now suspecting. Exactly. Um, Devins joins them and he's like, guy, I've been thinking about it. I really don't think we should keep drew. Like, this is the, such a great opportunity to get him out without exposing anything. Uh, like it's been going so well. We really need to separate
[02:23:44] [SPEAKER_04] him and Malady. And he's like, no, I, I really think this is the right move. I think, I think that we should do this. She talks about how, uh, on survivor 50, she voted out Charlie, uh, instead of, she's like, is drew the chart? Is this my chance to rectify my mistake in survivor? And keep the Charlie. Yeah. Um, and I think I am the Charlie. I, I mean, I don't know if it tracks
[02:24:12] [SPEAKER_04] one-to-one in terms of like position, but she should not have voted you out. Yeah. It worked out very well that she didn't say, right. Um, so she pushes this and Devins is like, listen, I'll, I'm willing to do it. If it goes wrong, it's all on you. Yeah. As a joke, but also like he's for real, he's, he's, he's, he's pretty reluctant. Um, Angela gets convinced as well. She's, she's down. She's like, okay, we can do it. She did. This is, this is what she says.
[02:24:39] [SPEAKER_04] This is one of, this is the reason Angela feels convinced that she will keep you around.
[02:24:43] [SPEAKER_05] He's wussy. Yeah. He's kind of a pud. A pud? What is pud? I don't know. I've never, I've never even heard that word before. He's kind of a pud. She thinks that you won't have
[02:24:55] [SPEAKER_04] the, the balls to actually take a shot after all. Yeah. Yeah. Um, he's kind of a pud. Um, so, uh, it's so sad. I loved Angela so much. I still do. Yes. She will come to love you. It's later on later. Uh, so Devin still doesn't love this, but they bring it to the red corner anyway. They're like,
[02:25:23] [SPEAKER_04] well, now we need to convince red corner to do this, to keep Drew. So they go to the red corner and, uh, they have this little meeting and they start throwing out reasons why, like, you know, everyone, everyone wants Drew out. Like, do we think Lyric is actually a bigger, like thrive to us? Uh, and they bring up like the Kamu stuff and, and Haley eventually is like, guys, what if we keep Drew over Lyric? And he's like, wow.
[02:25:52] [SPEAKER_04] Wow. That's such a good idea, Haley. And so the three of them afterwards are like so high on there. They're like, Oh my God, we just got them to think it was their own idea. Now they're all so on board. Yeah. Yeah. Um, and so, uh, Haley brings it to Kamu who wasn't in the meeting.
[02:26:10] [SPEAKER_04] Um, and Kamu was like, but if I was next to Melody, there's still getting rid of me. Still getting it's keep you over both. And when, when Haley comes up with the, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, it's, it's well, because the, the initial thought was, why don't we keep Drew over, um, over one of them?
[02:26:38] [SPEAKER_04] And it's like, well, if we're keeping Drew over one of them, then why don't we keep Drew over both? Um, and so Haley brings it to Kamu, uh, who is like, I don't love this. Cause Kamu has been doing all week long doing work with the assumption you're gone. Yeah. Right. He's like, I don't completely iced me out that whole week. I need Drew to go at this point. Yeah. I can't be skulking around the shadows all, all season. Um, but, but in his mind now, like, okay, well, if we're keeping
[02:27:06] [SPEAKER_04] Drew, then we, then I can't take out Lyric. It has to be Melody now. Um, or at least like, that's what he was saying. Right. And this is why ultimately they decided to blindside him because he's saying, well, we should take out Melody for keeping Drew. Yeah. Cause you don't want both of them in the house together. Right. But he would have, he would have gone along. Yeah. It seemed like he,
[02:27:24] [SPEAKER_05] dude, he had such a good relationship with Melody as well. Like that's so funny that they just iced him out for no reason. Um, details Barrett that you're staying and Barrett's like, Oh, okay.
[02:27:34] [SPEAKER_04] He's a good, I definitely wanted that. He goes to Yash. He tells Yash about it and Yash is pissed.
[02:27:40] [SPEAKER_05] Dude, Yash was so anti it the morning of, I remember Taylor and Barrett sitting him down in like, we call it the funky monkeys. Uh, like, like the little, yeah. And they were like, Drew staying no matter what. And like, we're also going to keep Melody. And then he was just like, no, cause he was like, they can't be. And then like after the whole boat, he was like, he felt so betrayed by me because like, I was like, he's like, I felt like he had like a final two with Melody. And I feel like you don't, you don't trust me anymore. It's like, I guess he didn't
[02:28:10] [SPEAKER_05] trust me either. Yeah. And I go like, Oh dude, you and me final two all the way. Yeah. Yeah.
[02:28:15] [SPEAKER_04] Well, so basically, like I said, it was honestly, it was, I would say from my perspective, at least it was more than he was pro lyric than anti the two of you, but trying to hide how pro lyric he was, he tried to use the argument. We need to split them up. Yeah. Then once both of you stayed, he was like more honest with you about why he had distanced himself, which is that he suspected
[02:28:37] [SPEAKER_04] that you were leaking things. I don't know if he actually fully, um, so Yash tries to gather some votes. Um, he talks to Taylor about it. He's like, I'm hearing Drew staying and Taylor's like, I actually would like Drew to stay. Um, and she goes and has a conversation with you trying to like clear up the air about the whole situation. Yeah. And she, um, uh, it's like a very good, positive conversation. She feels very good about it afterwards. She's like, I think,
[02:29:07] [SPEAKER_04] I think like I'm in a good place with Drew. I think you felt pretty good about it. Um, which is, you know, decently important in terms of like the following week. Um, yes, it is. It is. D gets, uh, has a conversation with lyric as well. Uh, she doesn't like how lyric is not like picking up what she's putting down. She has a conversation with lyric where she's trying to see if lyric is willing to say she'll target red corner. Cause now
[02:29:36] [SPEAKER_04] she's worried about red corner and wants to target red corner. Um, and obviously not saying red corner saying the cool kids. Yeah. Uh, but lyric who's like, you're working with the cool kids. So lyric is like, like, no, she thinks like, I don't want to say I'm targeting Haley.
[02:29:51] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Cause like they're working together. Like, why would I say that?
[02:29:54] [SPEAKER_04] So then D is like, uh, I'm not going to be able to get lyric target them. Um, and so, um, this is important because the vote is to keep you in both scenarios, but it's still to evict melody over lyric right now. Um, she tells the camera, she doesn't like how close Angela is with Haley. And she doesn't like that common things he can change her plans. She doesn't like the commas inserting himself saying, well, it needs to be melody. If Drew stays, is that what Haley saying? That's what
[02:30:24] [SPEAKER_04] D is saying to the cameras. Um, so then the night continues. Mallory warns you again. Yeah. You don't have the votes and you're like against who? And she's like, I can't spoke. Yeah. Um, which seems to like at least a little bit set you off because you go and question Kamu. Yeah. And then I, and then I make, try to make him a swear on the Bible.
[02:30:50] [SPEAKER_04] You catch him talking to Yash. You try to get him to swear on the Bible. He won't do it because he's lying. Yeah. Um, and now you think Kamu is trying to flip the vote on me. Yeah. It's like,
[02:31:01] [SPEAKER_05] no, it's like the vote's been on you the whole time. Yeah. I finally figured it out. I went,
[02:31:06] [SPEAKER_04] you know, the wrong route, but I got to the right answer. Um, so yeah, you go the next morning, you'd go around and you talk to them about like, uh, Oh, Kamu is trying to flip the vote, which actually plays into your favor quite well because they're like, Oh, he's so, he thinks, he thinks it's Haley. And now he's like, Kamu. And now we're going to save him. Yeah. We're going to be heroes. Um, but at the time, at the, again, morning of the vote is still melody out
[02:31:32] [SPEAKER_04] over lyric detox to Devin's, but I'm getting no matter what you're good. No matter what detox to Devin's, she says, um, I'm, I'm ready. Like, are you down for this Devin's? And he's like, yeah. She's like, let's do it then. Like, let's burn red corner. Uh, like let's have some fucking fun. Um, and Devin's like, well, it's only burning them if melody wins the blockbuster. Cause like, they might want to keep lyric overdue. Um, but, but that's like, that's not really, and Melody's
[02:32:01] [SPEAKER_04] like, well, why not? Who cares? Why don't just go for it? Why don't just burn them in both scenarios? Like, why are we taking out melody? Why succumb to what they want? Uh, like lyrics not going after them. Why are we keeping her? And he's like, oh, well, I guess, I mean, fine. Let's get rid of her then. And he's like, fuck yeah. Let's blow this shit up and lie about our votes. We'll blame Yash. Uh, and they're like, oh, but we got to talk to Angela. Angela, I'm not going to be down for this. They go and they talk to Angela. Um, and they're like, let's keep both drew and melody as a
[02:32:31] [SPEAKER_04] showman. So it'll be a target. Um, and Angela's like, well, but what about like, Haley's going to be so mad. Remember they had a final two. Yeah. Uh, and he's like, we'll just blame our votes on Yash or Lala or Taylor or whatever. Like, come on, take it to the grave. It's going to be fun. And it was like, okay, let's fucking do it. This
[02:32:48] [SPEAKER_05] is big brother. Yes, dude. That was, yeah, that's exactly what she would say. Oh my God. That's awesome. That, yeah, it is big. Yeah. I cause we're just having fun in the beginning.
[02:32:59] [SPEAKER_04] They were. And this, this was very exciting. It was very fun. Not great. At the time we were like, what are they doing? Yeah. Like it's not even a bad move necessarily to keep melody over lyric. Although you could make an argument, but like beyond, like they could just rub the, bring them inside them. It trashes their relationship with Haley. It, it really just, it activates Kamu in a very dangerous way. Oh yeah. Um, and he was like hibernating. He was
[02:33:28] [SPEAKER_05] like, he's a sleeper and then they woke him up and he was just like, I'm going to win this wall
[02:33:32] [SPEAKER_04] and they're all going down. And this is truly a turning point in the entire season. You survive with melody and, uh, and now they've irreparably damaged their relationship with red corner. So it's all of a sudden, just like that out of nowhere, crossovers. Hey, we're back. Crossovers till we die. Um, but there's a, there's part of a reason why this went especially
[02:34:01] [SPEAKER_04] wrong. And it's because Devin's goes to Taylor because he's got the primaries. Yes. He pitches keeping you. He wants her to be on board with keeping you. Um, and she had already been told by Yash she's down to keep you. She also wants to keep melody. Yeah. So she starts not only pitching to keep you to Lala and Yash and them, but also to keep melody. And this is not on the feeds, but we hear the retelling of it. Uh, so in Taylor's
[02:34:26] [SPEAKER_04] mind, she is made this flip happen because she's the one that pitched for melody to say nobody had said that to her prior and D and Devin's are happy to let her take the blame. That's why they, but she claimed it at the end. Yes. Yeah. I was always like, I thought
[02:34:41] [SPEAKER_05] it was always D and Devin's who did it, but then I'd be like, kind of let her. We didn't have it because we were like, if she says it during the speech, I was like, if I was going to bring her to the end and I was like hoping she would say that because I think we all knew that it was Devin's and D and we were, I was hoping she would. And then when she did say it in her final speech, we're like, ah, like nail in the coffin.
[02:35:02] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Devin's told D that she said she was going to say that. And he told D to go to the jury and let them know that she was going to say that and that it was wrong. Yeah. Um, like prepping them for it. Yeah. Um, so anyway, this goes wrong though, because Taylor and Lala weren't supposed to vote for melody to stay over lyric. They were supposed to be the votes that they were claiming. Yeah. So D and Angela go in, lyric gets voted out and they're like,
[02:35:30] [SPEAKER_04] it wasn't us. Yeah. But there's not enough spare votes to go around. You're like Chuck, Kamu.
[02:35:36] [SPEAKER_05] It's, it was just so blatantly obvious. It was just like, why are we? And then Devin's is smart. Just being like, Hey, I voted this way. I thought I was just confused, but it's so funny that D and Angela were like, it wasn't us. It wasn't. I was like, guys, like it has to be you. In what world does Chuck and Kamu not vote with Haley? To their credit, it works pretty well. It does. Cause like Kamu cannot trust Chuck. Kamu believes, Kamu doesn't trust Chuck,
[02:36:01] [SPEAKER_04] but everyone believes Yash because Yash goes, uh, put it on my brother. And initially Yash doesn't believe Kamu. He suspects Kamu was a flip phone. Uh, like that whole night. That's part of the thing. He talks to Chuck about not trusting Kamu. And then afterwards, like, no, Chuck was trying to trick me. Kamu's actually good. Kamu's going to do it. And that's when they went up. Um, they're back.
[02:36:25] And then, like, I'll see you next time. Bye. Bye.
