Star, a 28-year-old sales expert from Augusta, Georgia, originally hails from Monrovia, Liberia. Her journey to Survivor began unexpectedly during late-night binge-watching sessions while caring for her newborn son, Silva Mars. Star's infectious energy and charm are evident as she shares her story of how she decided to apply for the show after a moment of inspiration from host Jeff Probst.
Star's background in sales has equipped her with a unique set of skills that she plans to leverage in the game. She describes herself as someone who can naturally connect with others, a trait she believes will be advantageous in forming alliances. However, Star intends to keep her sales expertise under wraps, opting instead to present herself as a stay-at-home mom to avoid raising suspicions about her strategic capabilities.
Her preparation for Survivor included learning to swim, a skill she previously lacked, and practicing puzzles to sharpen her mental acuity. Despite not having practiced making fire, Star is confident in her ability to adapt and learn on the island. She draws inspiration from past winners like Sandra Diaz-Twine and Marianne, aiming to balance seriousness with a playful demeanor to keep opponents guessing.
Star's life experiences, including the loss of her father, have instilled resilience and independence in her, qualities she believes will serve her well in the game. Her biggest strength, she asserts, is her charm, which she hopes will help her build trust with fellow castaways. As she embarks on this adventure, Star is determined to make a memorable impact, not just for herself but for her family, and perhaps secure a spot in the anticipated Survivor 50 returnee season.
