[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Hi everybody and welcome back to TV for real, where reality and scripted TV collide.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_01]: My name is Mike Bloom. I'm joined as always by my co-host Sasha Joseph. Sasha, how's it going? You were missed this past week?

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. Oh, you know what? I hate you all, but it's okay because we're back together, I guess.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'll get over it. But listen, the girlies are all back together. All three of us are here.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready. I'm ready to get this episode started.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I am thrilled. We say that, you know, I haven't slept a lot.

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been a rather creature of the night this past week with the delightful RHAP event.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_01]: It only makes sense that we talk about a little show that aired once upon a time on the CW called the Vampire Diaries.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And I am thrilled. We are used to America telling all, but today America is going to tell specifically about this show.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_01]: It's all their general TV taste. So excited to welcome TV for real, America Lopez.

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks y'all for having me. I'm so excited to talk about the Vampire Diaries. It's my favorite show in the entire world.

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God. Like the CW in 2009, like did its big one.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And there were so many shows. I forgot what else they had on, but like there were so many.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I watched Supernatural too. I'm also Supernatural early.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. But I'm like, what don't y'all watch?

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Like when Sam asked me to do this, I was like the Vampire Diaries.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, Mike Bloom has watched the Vampire Diaries. Like what?

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_01]: So I've watched a smidge of it. Basically. So my wife is basically like of your complete taste bud sense America.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Like she's why she loves Vampire Diaries has watched Supernatural.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, and so she'll just occasionally throw on the Vampire Diaries or the originals.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I say every four months or so.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So I have like snatches of stuff that I have watched and have gathered.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Also, I mean, listen, we can certainly talk about it. There are people who have been on the Vampire Diaries that are part of properties that I do watch.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So like I have tangential knowledge and I have watched a little bit of it.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not obviously not super duper fan, but I would say I'm pretty much a casual of it.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. I haven't watched in years straight up.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_03]: So like I, I can't, you know, I'm like, Oh, I'm a super fan.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't watched since the finale aired, but it's good. I love it. I'm going to show Corey after we finish lost.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to do the Vampire Diaries.

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was. I thought initially the deal.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I talked to you all about this when we were in New Orleans last year about like, I thought it was going to be a one for one deal that it was like, I guess it still is.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But I thought it was going to be okay. You watch lost.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And then Corey watches an episode of Vampire Diaries.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Then you sort of trade off, but it's more together. Yeah. Yeah. Look, we're on the last season of lost and I'm bored.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I'm like, like, we're like on episode three and I'm like, I don't care about this temple shit.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I, it's so boring to me. I'm like, can we please start the Vampire Diaries?

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And Corey's like, no, let's finish this first. And then we can start.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you get to see a person come back to life.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe that was a taste of the Vampire Diaries that you wanted in the season.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You know? Yeah, exactly. Like, I feel so bad telling him this one. Like, I'm just bored.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_03]: But like this whole, like coming back to life thing, like the supernatural stuff.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, we, we get so much of it on the Vampire Diaries that I'm like, maybe like spoiled or like, I don't care as much in lost.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And I also feel bad because I'm like, oh my God.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey, I hate, I hate John Locke and Ben Linus.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they are my enemies.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, if, if we watch the Vampire Diaries next month and he starts telling me that he hates like Enzo or like Klaus, I'm, I will die.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, first off, Corey is Corey's such a big, big brother fan that he would never hate anybody named Enzo.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Both inside and outside of the house.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But also, yeah.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So then not to make this too much about loss, but how did you feel about a certain cardboard cutout that Corey tweeted to me a couple days ago?

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I got it for him.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that is so funny.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my, cause I saw that and screamed like, oh, this one interesting.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I literally said that.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I was between that one or I was like, oh, it'd be so funny if I got him like Charlie, like a super random one.

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_03]: But I was like, no, he really likes John Locke.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think Ben was an option, but.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So I like it.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_03]: It's huge.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's like six feet.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he's so big.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God.

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm waiting.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm waiting for my, my Damon Salvatore cardboard cutout should be coming in.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Again, that's one for one exchange.

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Sasha, what about you?

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_01]: What's, what's your history with TVD?

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't, I don't know this one as well as in again, as a 2009, like this was peak TV.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_02]: So I was in, I was watching everything.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_02]: So I've seen it and the Sandina, Nina Dobrev, right?

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I was a Degrassi girly.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_02]: So fight following her is how I watched a little bit of it.

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I'm just not in it as much as I should.

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And you know what?

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's what I now binge watch.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_01]: She was who was she was Mia.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: The pregnant girl.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_01]: She was.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_01]: She must be super young.

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_02]: She was like 19 on the Vampire Diaries, I think.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Like when I, yeah.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Cause she was like legit in high school.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Like a lot of them were young.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_01]: She was like the one from the rival school who dated JT and that's why he got stabbed

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_01]: to death.

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I've never watched Degrassi.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: This sounds so intense.

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it goes there.

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: That was the slogan of Degrassi.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: It goes there.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Nah, Degrassi, the next generation shambles.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_02]: So that's how I know her is like from Degrassi.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_02]: So I said, Oh, she's in another show.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_02]: She's growing up.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh.

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_02]: How cool.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_03]: She grew up.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_01]: So, so America for the uninitiated, including maybe like one and a half of the people

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_01]: have this podcast.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Correct.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: What is the concept of the show?

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_01]: What's your elevator pitch on the vampire diaries, which is now to your point.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I think officially what 15 years old.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Probably right.

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: September 10th, 2009.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_03]: They're they might do like 15th anniversary stuff.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I hope they do.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, but okay.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_03]: My pitch.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It's about vampires.

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, it's a high schooler and she's into two vampire brothers and there's like a love

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_03]: triangle.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_02]: The summer.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I turn if that doesn't get you hooked, then I don't know what will.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I think that's what it's about.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's so good.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't know, like from the first episode, I was like, I binged the whole thing in high

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_03]: school and I was having dreams about it like every night.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I remember there were like vivid dreams, like wasn't anything like weird, but it was

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_03]: just like I was there in mystic falls, uh, with them and I was friends with them.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was like, I don't know during those formative years.

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Like my mind was just like absorbing just vampire dramas.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So, but it wasn't like anything salacious.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just your character in the show.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_03]: From what I remember, but it was like very intense.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I would wake up and I'd be like, oh, like I want to go back.

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my, I really feel this in my heart.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I am one of those weirdos that like, well, my dreams are very intense of like things

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to be doing.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And there's usually like random Marvel movies or stuff like that.

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_02]: That I'm like, I would die.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_02]: What?

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_02]: So, oh, they were, I love this.

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_03]: They were always fun.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_01]: So what are the vampire rules in this universe?

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Cause it always varies.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_01]: We have, you know, the, okay.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't go on the daylight true blood version.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_01]: We have the sparkle twilight version.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Where does this fall in that spectrum?

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_03]: So from what I remember, they, they do have the, you can't be out in the sun.

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll be, but to like, you know, work around that they have special rings that they wear

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: that were like made by this, which I make, I, you know, I'm going to go back and rewatch

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_03]: soon, but they were made by the specific witch and it has to be a specific ring that

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: they wear and they all wear them.

[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's how they're able to, you know, go out into the sun.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_03]: They also have this thing, which I thought was super fun.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And we're like, they can't go into a home unless they're invited in by the owner.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And this creates a lot of problems because sometimes they'll be invited in and they're

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_03]: like, Oh no, like the deed is signed by someone else.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, um, so they can't really invite them in.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I live at this house.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Now don't give, don't give landlords even more power.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Like if people are renting, God help them.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_01]: They can't have any vampires over.

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God.

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And, um, I think, I mean, those are like the main ones that, that I remember, but yeah,

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: they die, come back to life all the time.

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, also like the obvious, like you have to kill them with a stake through their heart.

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But then we get to like the original vampires, my favorite part of the series where they

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: can't be killed unless it's a stake from like a specific tree that they burned down, you

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_03]: know, hundreds of thousands of years ago.

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Were you like a vampire person prior to this?

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Was there any vampire media that you would like engaged in or it just happened to be right

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_01]: time, right place?

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I think this came out at the same time as like Twilight, right?

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: So September 2009, I believe the Twilight books were probably releasing around that time.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Around.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So it was just like, yeah, I wasn't into vampires before, but it was just like in the moment

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_03]: like it was the era of vampires, like every true blood.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I forgot when true blood was maybe a little bit after.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_01]: True blood was I think around cause that was my first exposure really vampire based media

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_01]: was true blood, which I think was like maybe summer of 2008 or 2009.

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So if it's the latter, it was like months before vampire diaries premiered.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: They were, they were cool.

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what everyone was talking about.

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So no, I wasn't into vampires before, but I was during definitely.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_03]: During this time.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So, so this is yeah, something that like would just happen to be on.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_02]: And as a consumer, you were just like, this is my thing.

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm here.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I love this.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause I didn't have like cable growing up, but we had CW.

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So I would watch big brother and, and the vampire diaries and that was it.

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: That was my world.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was just so much fun.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And like having to wait, I think at a certain point, like I caught up and I had to like,

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_03]: wait for episodes weekly.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And like, that was so annoying.

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, but yeah, I, I love to binge.

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Are vampires still cool?

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing is I agree.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: There was definitely a phase where it felt like all the media was around it from an aesthetic

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_01]: perspective.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Have they stood the test of time?

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_01]: 15 plus years later.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I think so.

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Right?

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I think so.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Just do Gen Z like vampires.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Nah, we sound so boomer like that we are doing this, but I do want to know.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I, you know what, now that, now that you say it, not that I'm saying it out loud.

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't heard much about them.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Actually. No, no, they're so into Twilight.

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_03]: They love Twilight.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I only saw it on some talk.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_03]: They love vampires for sure.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I would think so.

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not Elena Gilbert and you know, demon Salvatore, but they know the Twilight.

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_03]: But they are into vampires.

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Which is again, not in a shady way, but a little bit shady way.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Twilight is the one that you know, we're coming back with.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_02]: There's other properties that we can.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I know.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I showed Corey Twilight recently because he had never seen.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Before.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think we watched them after watching the 50 shades of gray trilogy because

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03]: they're sort of like.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: You're sort of like backwards in chronological order.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_01]: You're going.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_01]: The back to the source.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_03]: We just like, we're really eager for like the nudity, but.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Fair.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03]: We watched 50 shades first and Twilight after and Twilight was so boring.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I really prefer like the 50 shades, like plot line.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause it turns into like an action movie.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Similar to like Twilight.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I think where, you know, people start getting kidnapped and all this drama.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And there's like car chases.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I think Twilight is boring compared to 50 shades.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know why everyone hypes up.

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_03]: There's like the nostalgia factor for sure.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And I, when I go back, sorry.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: No, go back and watch.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Please go ahead.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Please.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_03]: This is your time.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_03]: When I go back and watch the vampire theories, I really hope.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_03]: That it's as good as I remember.

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's not just again, like the nostalgia of me watching when I was a high schooler that,

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_03]: you know.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Nostalgia is real.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_02]: So I feel like it would still work in that.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_02]: It transports us.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Right?

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think that's why TV shows specifically are so interesting.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Cause it's ability to be able to transform us into a spot that we were at a certain point.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Like America, just like you, my family.

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Like we only watch specific things, but specific things together.

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_02]: So desperate housewives, I don't care if it never holds up.

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Like it's always going to be special because why were, you know, high school me and my mom

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_02]: and my aunt and my cousins all watching this together.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_02]: It's coming up.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I've heard a lot.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I've never watched desperate housewives, but I've seen it all over Twitter.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_03]: You like people are watching it again, getting into it.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it really is just like enough time has passed.

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe to your point about why Twilight over 50 shades of gray.

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, from a, a marketable perspective, it was obviously a lot easier to sell the

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: like, except for a couple of a very explicit home runs that are headed.

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It's usually like, you know, hitting second base at most.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like a little puppy love between these forbidden species, as opposed to like 50 shades

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_01]: of gray, which will like quite literally spank you with its material.

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I think it's like, it's something that had more, more mass appeal to it and like was a fever as opposed to like 50 shades, which I don't know whether it was like Twilight

[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_01]: fever. It's sort of quite literally eclipsed or like, again, the material was a little more adult, but I feel like it wasn't.

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there were there were certainly those times when like you would go onto the subway and you'd find like, you know, at least for I don't know, four fifths of the people that are reading something are reading some form of 50 shades of gray on there.

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: But it never hit as big as Twilight did. And maybe it's the vampires as well.

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. Yeah. And I also think, again, as someone that has read all the books, I will say it's just you can when someone said, oh, it was Twilight fan fiction, like 50 shades.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't go back to it. Like, I just didn't look at her the same way, if that makes sense.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's on me, you know, but if until I didn't know, it felt like, oh, this was like a smutty, ridiculous thing that's happening here.

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_02]: That's so unserious versus I think Twilight in my mind, sometimes takes it takes itself so serious.

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_02]: But here we are. Also, y'all don't worry. I did go on Reddit to check about vampires because I put our vampire school for Gen Z.

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_02]: And this is what people are saying that this person said, so fellow Gen Zers, how many of you figured out your obsession with vampires because of my babysitters of vampire?

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you know about this, America?

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't. Is that a movie?

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's a movie.

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's a movie from like 2000.

[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Like actually, again, showing this side of the time from around like 2010, 2011.

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember that movie at all. Is it like Disney?

[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Mm hmm. I believe it's on Disney Plus. Yes.

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_02]: And and then someone said, I want to see him.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Not the only one because I've been a vampire enthusiast since I was six because of this show.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh, I'm old.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And then, yeah, a bunch of people are like, yeah, it's my babysitter vampire.

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_02]: But then we have a lot of Buffy and vampire diaries in the in the chat in the chat in the comments.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry. So, yes, I believe you are on the right track, America.

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I am. Let me I'll read a quick little synopsis to you from Google about my babysitters of vampire because it is interestingly written.

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_01]: A geeky teen Ethan Morgan has a hot babysitter, which most teenage boys would think is a good thing.

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_01]: The only problem is that Ethan's babysitter, Sarah, is half vampire.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Sarah drags Ethan and his pals, Benny and Rory, who was recently turned into a vampire himself, into a world of supernatural battles against creatures from their nightmares in order to save their town from vampires.

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Sarah hopes to one day become human again so she can save her soul and so she can spend less time protecting the geeky trio.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_02]: This is I'm serious and I will be watching.

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And it is on free for Roku TV.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, I do remember this because the vampire I think the babysitter was on Riverdale.

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_03]: What's her name?

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember her.

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and of course.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, is this?

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it seems like it's a Canadian tell him.

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was Canadian.

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, of course.

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Shout out Canada.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I have Canada.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Times two.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_01]: So, America, talk to me about your favorite characters on this show.

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Because some people are like, again, we talk about this a lot with something like Lost, like I don't care about these main characters.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm focusing on the side piece.

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that the case for you or are you always fans of like the big three?

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, a little bit of both, I think.

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking through the cast right now.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03]: So, so I preferred look over Stefan always for Elena.

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I was shipping Damon and Elena together.

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's Paul Wesley over Ian Somerhalder for sure.

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And those are the actors.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Gotcha.

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So don't put a script in front of their face and you prefer Paul Wesley to in summer all there.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_01]: But as soon as you get those characters and then then it's Damon over Stefan.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Damon.

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And again, going back to lost, I saw Ian Somerhalder as Boone and I was like, oh, my God, it's David.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I love him.

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Um.

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, like he's going to die soon because then he goes on to do the vampire diaries like full time.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was fine.

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I know why it wasn't though.

[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. That's the thing is that like you might think that's the case, but he so he dies in, you know, 2005 and 2005 episode.

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And obviously this was 2009, though.

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_01]: He does come back.

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you saw that he comes back at one point and he wears like because I think he's filming TVD.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: He wears this just like awful wig because he has to get back into the boon hair and it's just absolutely horrendous.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_01]: But I guess it's worth it so he could still maintain his like picturesque looks for for Damon.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The look.

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I have to go back and and double check.

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, so those are the big three.

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And like I said, I prefer Damon.

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I loved Klaus, who's one of the original like the original vampire.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_03]: We loved him.

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's OK.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: TBD does this thing where like they introduce someone and he's like a super like killer evil.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Just you hate him.

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And by the end of the season, he's like the good guy.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And they do this so many times.

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: They do this with Damon.

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Like first episode, Damon is introduced as like the bad guy who's terrorizing the town and he's super evil.

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And like, I think kills Elena's aunt.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's like funny how it works because people seem to forget.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And they don't hold grudges and she ends up falling in love with him.

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm pretty sure he kills like her best friend and like, like stuff like that.

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: He's an abuser.

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I want you only.

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But like it works.

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, got it.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Like being I don't know, like watching you forget to.

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And obviously it's all fake.

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So it doesn't really matter.

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_03]: But like Klaus, I love and I love Klaus of Caroline.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Who's Elena's best friend.

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And I loved Enzo who they introduced like a little bit later, I think.

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, the one thing I also love about TBD is they do flashbacks often and they'll jump back like 20 years ago, 30 years ago.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_03]: They do like 50s flashbacks.

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: They'll do like depression era flashbacks.

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: They'll go back to like the 1800s when Stefan and Damon were human before they returned.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they introduced the originals and they go back to like the 1400s.

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, like, I don't know.

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I love it.

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, that's what happens when you have immortal creatures.

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, yeah, that's younger versions, basically.

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It like keeps going back.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love the flashbacks.

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Again, we were talking about bad wigs.

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: They had the worst costumes ever.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But like it, I think it's a lot of CW.

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Like with the like terrible costumes.

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And somehow they put together like a hodgepodge of things.

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_02]: And it works.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It worked for me.

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I ate it up.

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, yes, flashback.

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, let's go the flashback episode.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So I'm trying to remember how were they turned?

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Because obviously they were turning like the forum that they were in.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like they returned when they were like five year old boys or something.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, no, no, no.

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_03]: They were adults, obviously.

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But there's this thing called doppelgangers that comes up so much.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a recurring theme, right?

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Like everyone has like their twin somewhere in the world.

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So Elena has her doppelganger or she's Catherine's doppelganger.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And Catherine was the one who turned them.

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: They like fell in love with her in the 1800s.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And so when they see Elena, they're like, wait, that's Catherine.

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And they like start stalking her.

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Both brothers do because they're both in love with her.

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Still in love with that woman.

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And they realize that, no, she's a totally different person.

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_03]: We don't know where Catherine is.

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Catherine was the one that turned them.

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I forgot what the exact motive was.

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But like she is like evil to like she.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I do remember that.

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_01]: That basically it was like I remember the first time I'm like, oh, so it's just an evil twin.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, no, it's a whole doppelganger thing.

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_01]: But yes, I know that that cat was a little bit more of a, a more present.

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. And I loved how they would have like Elena and Catherine.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same actress.

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It's both Nina, but they would be in the same scene.

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And you can tell like the CGI was like so bad.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Like you can only see the back of her head.

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like a different height completely.

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know who the stunt actor was, but they would like differentiate between who was the good one and the bad one.

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Because Elena, I think would have, oh, Elena had like straight hair.

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And Catherine had like curly hair with like a streak of purple in her hair.

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's how you'd be able to tell.

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a highlight.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_02]: This is the sign of the times, right?

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, yes, if you were a baddie, like you had to have like non-traditional everything.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Except Pretty Little Liars.

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the only one where I felt like the baddies were a little bit like, oh, they could be anyone.

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I never watched blonde hair.

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_02]: But I heard that's a good one.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_02]: I think you like it.

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Because it's like very much like this.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Until it wasn't.

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And then you're just like, this is unserious because people kept the audience kept figuring out.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, this person has to be a.

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they would just like change it because they were like, otherwise, like, basically.

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_01]: When you find out who a is like, what do you do then?

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And so it's like, all right, well, we got to keep making these episodes.

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're not in the age where you call it quits after four seasons.

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_02]: So that's what this is reminding me of like the typecasting.

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, and the costumes and the outfits.

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_03]: It was around the same time, too.

[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So I've heard the only thing I've heard from Pretty Little Liars is the like the girl dating the teacher.

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And how that's like a thing.

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And nobody like says anything about it again.

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just like weird.

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But people were eating it up back then, I guess.

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I definitely did.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And as someone again that read all the Pretty Little Liars books, I was just like, oh, my God, this is ridiculous.

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_03]: You have more hours in a day than anybody, because what do you mean?

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You're like, oh, Pretty Little Liars.

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Degrassi.

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I've also read the books.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Also, these series used to be it was in the time when they do 23 episodes per season, seven, eight seasons long.

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Look, I was a Grey's Anatomy girlie.

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I actually have to go back and watch Grey's Anatomy because I heard Sophia Bush is now joining the cast.

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Because they fired April.

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Did you see that?

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, who they fire?

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_02]: April.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Like the care.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know her.

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I never know their real names.

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_02]: But the character who plays April, like Jackson, you know, the one who's like with hottie Jackson.

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me see, because I have it.

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Sarah Drew.

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Sarah Drew.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I know this is like I especially now that I've been so indoctrinated.

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_01]: There was a podcast America where Sasha and Kelly Wentworth like tried to walk me through Grey's Anatomy for the first time.

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_01]: But now I like also covered as well slightly and like she, she very recently had some not so nice words about the actress.

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_01]: How she left the show.

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't even know they brought her back.

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.

[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't either.

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Because again, I have freed myself from Grey's Anatomy.

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Same.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I stopped watching after Karev left.

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_03]: So it was a little bit like during COVID.

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: That was my.

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: That was.

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Was this like the massive straw that broke everyone's back?

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Was this guy Karev leaving the show?

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was so bad.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_03]: No, they.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they did him so dirty.

[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_03]: He had like he had went like at the very beginning first season.

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He's like the dick.

[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's the douche.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like he has like this huge like character development going on for like what 15 16 literally

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: like the longest time like 23 episodes 15 seasons.

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the good guy.

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone loves him.

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And then he just leaves his wife.

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_01]: That's that's that guy rather than yeah.

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_01]: They're both.

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Who again is like, of course.

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Just like shut up.

[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to think about it.

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean on that note in terms of the purchase remind me what did they do with Nina Dobrev?

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Because obviously that was a big deal.

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It was like that she was not going until the end of she does.

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I think pop up in the final season.

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_01]: How was that handled?

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: She does.

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I don't remember honestly.

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It was not that memorable.

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they had her like in a coffin somewhere like she died, but it was like sleeping beauty

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_03]: vibes from what I remember.

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so they're like, oh, like Elena's not dead, but she is sleeping and she's yeah, she's

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_03]: like dormant and we have to find this cure to go give it to her.

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And then like something like that.

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_03]: That's how they not true loves.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you know what?

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I am remembering that it's like she I think she so she becomes a vampire and then I think

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_01]: she becomes human again.

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And then it's like her fate is tied to somebody else.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like as long as this person is awake, she's asleep.

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we've got to make sure that they're both awake at the same time.

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It gets really convoluted with like people coming back.

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_03]: They don't only come back from the dead, but they like switch.

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Or they like come back as humans or like Bonnie, who is like the main character.

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_03]: She's a side character for the first couple of seasons, but then becomes like the main

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_03]: character.

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_03]: She's like the witch friend.

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And as you do, though, you know, all the vampires and witches, they're just forming

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_01]: natural friendships.

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we haven't even gotten into the werewolves.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, she's a witch and she's like super powerful, which but it's so sad because

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_03]: they're always like she's always sacrificing herself for Elena.

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's so sad because every season will literally end with Bonnie like having to kill

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_03]: someone like kill one of her family members.

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_03]: So Elena gets to date the vampires.

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's like so.

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, a person of color.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's so it's so sad.

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_03]: She finds love.

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_03]: She finds another boyfriend.

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_03]: They kill him off.

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's like struggle after struggle after struggle.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Like she cannot catch a break.

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so sad.

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think the last couple of seasons, she's like a main character.

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_03]: She's like once Nina leaves to like she's like the main character.

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's just like so sad.

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it Graham.

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Graham.

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Graham.

[00:30:21] Yeah, Graham.

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, she's done.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_03]: But like, I think I saw her in a actually she did a Christmas movie like on Netflix.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And I definitely saw it because I remember I mean, talk about, you know, maybe something

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_01]: that did twins and doppelgangers better than CGI.

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember from like the not the OG parent trap, but like our OG parent trap, which is

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_01]: the Lindsay Lohan version.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember her being.

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_03]: She was.

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm hmm.

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I got it.

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: There.

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_01]: We're another rando camp friend.

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Everything splits apart.

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, OK.

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I got my guy.

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Love in the Villa is her Netflix movie.

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was cute.

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm pretty sure I watched it.

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I listen.

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_02]: That's my brand.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm glad she was able to find love.

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_01]: So like she was doing.

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Was she like a very advanced like they weren't going to like a supernatural high school where

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_01]: they there's just regular high school that happened to have all these supernatural people

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_01]: in it.

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's fun because like Elena starts learning about vampires, right?

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Like she started being into like Stefan and she's discovering this world.

[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And at the same time, we have Kat Graham like the side plot that oh, she's learning she's a witch or she's a descendant from you know, her grandma was like a witch.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and no, I think her whole family is like a family which is actually her mom's also a witch.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But like she's like learning about these powers and she's learning how to control them and how to harness the power and like all of this stuff.

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And she gets more powerful throughout the seasons.

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like for like plot convenience sake like oh, no, there's this big thing.

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, don't worry.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Bonnie has a spell that could get us out of it.

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Bonnie can.

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, Bonnie.

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_03]: No, she does die.

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_03]: She dies at one point because it's just too powerful of a spell.

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Think of like stranger things like 11 with the nosebleed.

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_03]: That's Kat every single finale.

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_03]: She'll have the nosebleed and she's like, ah, like trying to hold back something, you know, dark.

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Like she she gets it done.

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's just over and over and over.

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. We need to talk about the werewolves here because like vampires, there are definitely different versions of them.

[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And as we talked about with Twilight, like it was always vampires versus werewolves.

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a rivalry. I still don't really understand on paper.

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But how are the werewolves represented in vampire diaries?

[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, just like hot heads.

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_03]: That's that's whenever they get angry is when they turn.

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm not sure if it has to be on a full moon or if they have to be in order to turn into a werewolf.

[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_03]: You have to be bitten during a full moon, something like that.

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I might be wrong.

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_03]: But so in the same high school class, of course, in the same friend group, there's this guy named Tyler, who's also learning that he's a werewolf.

[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. And he's like his his whole family have been like werewolves.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So he has like that gene inside of him.

[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And he I hate him. I don't like him.

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got anger issues and he's a mess.

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And I forgot what ends up happening to him.

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't know if he dies or not, but like.

[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't like him.

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But then you have this thing where like vampires and werewolves can mate.

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's when Klaus, the original comes into the mix.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like so have sex with Tyler.

[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my God.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_02]: So what you're saying is like a Jacob and Edward could have just cut Bella out.

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a vibe.

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like the super like powerful being.

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. That's like.

[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. I was like, that's the cheat code.

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Are the are the werewolves also immortal in the vampire diaries?

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Like have has Tyler been?

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, it doesn't sound like it was.

[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_01]: That like there's a wee bitty boy and he's now realizing that he's a hairy one.

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like the silver bullet thing, like the classic, if I remember correctly.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_03]: But they're just they're just there.

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_03]: We don't really care about the the werewolves that much.

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're protecting Ilana's coffin in the seventh season.

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Get out of here.

[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_03]: But another thing that I that's like a theme is like turning your humanity off and on.

[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know if you remember this Mike from or Sasha from the episode, but it's so funny because, you know, Stefan will be like, oh, like my whole world is like crumbling.

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I hate my life.

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Let me just turn off my humanity.

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And they treat it like it's a switch.

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And Ilana would be like, Stefan, no, Stefan, please.

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, I'm going to do it.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And like he like goes in his head, like picture like him just like, you know, like switching the flip off and he like opens his eyes and he's like this super heartless character who doesn't care about anything.

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And so like the whole season will be Elena try to get Stefan to like turn his humanity back on.

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's so funny.

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You know what?

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_01]: This is explaining a lot.

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_01]: There's I would imagine there's a fair part of like the big brother fan base that maybe are these vampires because at a certain point they're like the world sucks.

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me turn off my humanity.

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Great. I'm just going to like tweet baseless nonsense and personal attacks against people.

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel nothing.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to drag everyone down alongside me.

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Now it makes sense.

[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Social media might have been the true vampire switch flip that society maybe didn't need up to this point.

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_03]: No, they're just losers who need to get alive.

[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you Elena?

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that what we're finding out?

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Turn it back on, please.

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_03]: The humanity.

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_01]: What would often be like the source of the flip switch with the like when Elena's in mortal danger?

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, no, I've got to care now.

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like, oh, like Elena likes Damon now.

[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you know, and Stefan still loves Elena like stuff like that.

[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_03]: See this.

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_02]: See, see, because in IRL also, right, when men be cheating and lying to your face, not a love is blind, not trying to give any love is blind spoilers.

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, when they're like, I barely see my kids.

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_02]: The girlies that know, no.

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm turning off your humanity.

[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Unserious human beings all around.

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they're not human beings.

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the problem.

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_03]: If I remember correctly, it's only the men that do it.

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_03]: See?

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Never like the women vampires are like, I'm turning off my humanity.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I might be wrong, but I remember I'm clocking this show left and right.

[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_02]: It's embarrassing.

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_02]: It's embarrassing.

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Were there other supernatural?

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Because like I think back to Buffy and I guess Gen Z does as well as like one of my also initial gateways to the world of the supernatural.

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_01]: So obviously we have main characters that are vampires, that are werewolves, that are witches.

[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_01]: But like, did people stop in was like the swamp thing showing up for an episode and then was gone?

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Or was it was it less than that ilk?

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it wasn't like that.

[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It like stuck to like the the big four.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_03]: The the witches, vampires.

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_03]: What do we talk about?

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Werewolves.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess just the big three.

[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm hmm.

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Like focus on the big three.

[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they like mix them every now and then.

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I said, there's like the hybrids is what they're called.

[00:37:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And hybrids are the werewolf vampires.

[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think they might do like a witch vampire later.

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_03]: But they like, you know, mix and mingle and all that sort of stuff.

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't I don't think so.

[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, actually, wait, I was wrong.

[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I was wrong.

[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_03]: There are the seekers.

[00:37:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they're called or no, the hunters, the hunters.

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is like a whole nother thing where I don't remember them being like supernatural beings,

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_03]: but it's just like this group of humans or people that their whole life revolves around killing these supernatural beings.

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_03]: And so we find out like I think Elena's brother turns out to be a hunter and she's with vampires.

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So there's like a conflict of like interests, you know, when she's like, no, don't kill my boyfriends.

[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And her brother's like, but it's in my blood.

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I have to.

[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_01]: What would you want to be if you were given a choice to be like a species, I suppose, within this world?

[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Or a vampire, of course.

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_03]: They're the cutest.

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't know.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_03]: They're like the hottest one.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You can be with Damon.

[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Or Klaus.

[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I love Klaus.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So he's one of the originals.

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think he's introduced in season three.

[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love him and Caroline together.

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Caroline is one of.

[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, Elena's best friends.

[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And they have like the super flirty, like banter thing going on, even though he's like super evil and like killed hundreds and thousands of people like throughout his lifetime.

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's still like a teddy bear with her.

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And they're so cute.

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And spoilers.

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_03]: They eventually like don't make it.

[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I forgot what happens to Klaus.

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, well, I think he moves to New Orleans.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say he's got a spin off.

[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I need to focus on.

[00:39:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they start doing their originals.

[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he had a spin off.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And she all of a sudden.

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what the writers were thinking.

[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I never read the books.

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if this happens in the books.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But Caroline ends up being together with Stefan.

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_03]: After Elena chooses Damon.

[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's so random.

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I never bought it.

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't fall for it.

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_03]: It feels very forced.

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_03]: It feels very Juliet and Sawyer.

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So I know that.

[00:39:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I just don't get it.

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like super rushed.

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like I'm not doing it.

[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you don't believe that in every friend group, if there are two single friends, they must just naturally hook up because there are no other available options in the course of the world.

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_02]: My high school group.

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my God.

[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Again, very 2009 of my high school friend group because that's when we graduated and everyone.

[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_03]: They were taking notes.

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_01]: What about you, Sasha from America's description?

[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Would you want to be a vampire as well?

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Or would you choose?

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, first of all, I'm unfortunately afraid of dogs.

[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's just werewolf don't make sense like the next evolution.

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Me too.

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah.

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm scared of dogs.

[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm scared of dogs.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_02]: It ain't happening for me.

[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I just didn't grow up with pets.

[00:40:41] [SPEAKER_03]: You see?

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And Corey thinks I'm kidding or like he thought I was kidding.

[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But then I mentioned it on a podcast.

[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_03]: So, okay.

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I mentioned it to Corey.

[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_01]: And as we all know, if it's said on a podcast, it's unquestionably true.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm curious.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm curious.

[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm curious.

[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm curious.

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_02]: You have to think.

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You have to kill.

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_02]: How does she decide who to kill?

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm just reading up on her character and it's like, she's in another dimension.

[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_02]: So everyone that dies, she feels.

[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_02]: This is crazy.

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I forgot.

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_02]: No.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, this is excruciating pain.

[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It's excruciating pain.

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So anytime anybody dies, she feels them pass through her because she is the portal.

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so bad.

[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Like she'll be like on the ground, like crying, screaming because it's so painful.

[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And they do this to her for like an entire season.

[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so sad to watch.

[00:42:21] [SPEAKER_03]: This is like after she's lost like the love of her life too.

[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Like she's lost everything.

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's yeah.

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not good.

[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Not good for Bonnie.

[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Not the boy who lived come to die.

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what this is.

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_02]: See?

[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Mike, come back.

[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Come back.

[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Being a portal sounds kind of fun.

[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Mike is like, I will get all the tea on every single.

[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's not true.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Like people tend to spill a lot during their final words.

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, it'd be like getting to do exit interviews with every single person that dies

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_01]: in that dimension.

[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_01]: That's funny.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, me and America just like are wanting to be invited into people's house.

[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me in.

[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me into the party.

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Who owns this?

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_01]: What are you thinking?

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_01]: We're coming up on the past 15 year anniversary.

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And like, we see all these reboots and things.

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It's something Sasha and I have talked about a lot the past couple of weeks.

[00:43:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Would you want to see something either like a sequel series or even a reboot proper of

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_01]: the original show?

[00:43:30] [SPEAKER_03]: They can't recreate this.

[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_03]: We can't go back.

[00:43:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Also, Nina and Ian dated for like a while.

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_02]: This I actually knew.

[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And I forget.

[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they dated while the show was airing.

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_03]: So it was like super.

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God.

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Super exciting for everyone.

[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And they broke up and I don't know if they're on the best terms.

[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Wasn't okay.

[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Again, this could be my like wanting to be messy.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_02]: But I'm pretty like, wasn't it not great?

[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I remember it was there cheating.

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I think there might have been like a cheating scandal and stuff like that.

[00:44:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think he might have cheated.

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not.

[00:44:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'm making it up because.

[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think it ended good.

[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't think it was.

[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like a good solid like relationship.

[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But so we can't go back and do like a like a reboot of it.

[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And I just don't see it.

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_03]: It can't be done again.

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a once in a lifetime sort of thing.

[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, TV.

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but like, I'm like, Corey doesn't believe me.

[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm like, babe, it's like rated like 90% on Rotten Tomatoes or like 89%.

[00:44:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Like anybody who watches it will say like it is a good show.

[00:44:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Like.

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So what did you think of the spin offs?

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Did it like help scratch that itch for you as well?

[00:44:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I never finished the originals.

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I am sorry, but like every episode was just Klaus and I think his name was Marcellus.

[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yelling at each other.

[00:45:01] [SPEAKER_03]: They're in New Orleans and they're like trying to claim the territory is there.

[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and it was every episode, every single episode.

[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It'd be like Klaus being like, this is my home.

[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And then Marcellus being like, no, this is mine.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they run towards each other because they're both werewolves.

[00:45:15] [SPEAKER_03]: And they like start like fighting and stuff.

[00:45:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was just like so annoying because I didn't care about that.

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_03]: There was no like love triangle that I can remember.

[00:45:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I heard the originals is very good.

[00:45:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I just didn't stick with it long enough.

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I'll go back and watch after TVD, but it just didn't do it for me.

[00:45:32] [SPEAKER_01]: What about Legacies?

[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I forgot about that.

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I never even.

[00:45:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Legacies is sort of the, if I may make a CBS comparison.

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So we have like Vampire Diaries, Big Bang Theory, the originals, Young Sheldon, Legacies, Georgie and Mandy's first time bumpkin marriage, whatever, whatever it's called.

[00:45:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like a spinoff of a spinoff, basically.

[00:45:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_03]: That.

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember this.

[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a Larrick.

[00:46:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Cool, right?

[00:46:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And he, I thought I like remembered him.

[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember having some sort of weird name.

[00:46:07] [SPEAKER_01]: A Larrick was his name.

[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_03]: A Larrick Saltzman.

[00:46:10] [SPEAKER_03]: He was the teacher.

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_03]: He was their teacher, their high school teacher or their college teacher.

[00:46:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I think.

[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, he's, he's, he's another one that dies and then comes back like multiple times.

[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And I, I think I.

[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Why would you want to bring a vampire hunter back?

[00:46:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.

[00:46:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, cause they loved him.

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he was like their friend and he was a good guy, but I never even watched Legacies.

[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I totally forgot about that show.

[00:46:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't it have like, you know, and Damon's like alleged like daughter, I think is like the main character.

[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the case.

[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure.

[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, that, that is who ends up being like the star of it.

[00:46:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Hope Mickelson, a teenage orphan and student of the Salvatore school.

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, her parents are Klaus and Haley Marshall making her the first tribrid.

[00:47:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, come on, bro.

[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_02]: They're doing too damn much.

[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:47:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I have a lot of appreciation for that one.

[00:47:05] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a good one.

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that's so funny.

[00:47:07] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the writer.

[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, that's a good one.

[00:47:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Like patting themselves on the back.

[00:47:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_02]: How can you even be a tribris?

[00:47:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that like someone's a half, I guess?

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So Klaus was half vampire, half werewolf.

[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And then he bred with a witch.

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And then that's the result.

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what you want to be.

[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Honestly.

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the one.

[00:47:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Give me a little bit of everything.

[00:47:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:47:33] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the one ring to rule them all.

[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, listen, I want to like, when I play D and D, I want to multi-class.

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to just do one thing.

[00:47:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to, you know, spread my seed, I suppose, much like Klaus did.

[00:47:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:47:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, see, he just pisses me off that Klaus didn't end up with Caroline.

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_03]: She was just a vampire, so they wouldn't have had a tribreed.

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe that's what he was going for.

[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_03]: But it was like, I really liked him and Caroline together.

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_03]: They were meant to be.

[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I love that.

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Also off topic AF, but I just because I needed to look up what happened.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm with Ian, some whole, Ian and Nina.

[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And anyway, Nina Dobrev's dating history.

[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Wild y'all.

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Just wanted to say that.

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Run it through, Miss Magnits.

[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Who's your dating?

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I've met her actually.

[00:48:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, of course.

[00:48:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Her and Sean, Sean White, who's currently dating.

[00:48:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they live in Soho.

[00:48:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So I like bumped into them once and I was like, oh my God.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't ask her to picture anything because I was too embarrassed.

[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But you should be like, I'm famous too.

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_02]: So yes.

[00:48:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Sean White, the snowboarder.

[00:48:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Correct.

[00:48:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:48:43] [SPEAKER_02]: No, my girl dates the most interesting, finest white men.

[00:48:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm not joking.

[00:48:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You go from Ian Sumholder to Derek Hough.

[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I think I remember the Derek Hough one.

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I was like, I, now that I'm seeing it.

[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And I was into dancing with the stars at this point.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember that.

[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Then she goes to Liam Hemsworth.

[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Now that is like really crossing the streams, right?

[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a vampire dating werewolf.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Because when did Liam have time to date Nina when he was with Miley?

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Miley.

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_02]: In February, 2014, when they were both in Atlanta filming the Vampire Diaries and the

[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Hunger Games Mockingjay.

[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_01]: The production companies for like filming in Atlanta that all these people are coming together.

[00:49:35] [SPEAKER_02]: That part.

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_02]: That part.

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_02]: This is why I love Atlanta.

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Atlanta is so messy.

[00:49:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Austin Stowell as well, which maybe not as he was in Whiplash.

[00:49:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what that is.

[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's the, um, the, the JK Simmons, like not my tempo, the drum.

[00:49:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yes.

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_02]: So again, he cute.

[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_02]: He's cute.

[00:50:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he was in the hating game.

[00:50:02] [SPEAKER_02]: If anyone watched that, uh, the rom-com with Aria from pretty little life.

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God.

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I did that movie.

[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:50:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, this movie I think is the worst movie I've ever seen.

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_03]: It was so bad.

[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_03]: If I remember correctly.

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it was loose.

[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Lucy Hale.

[00:50:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not even kidding.

[00:50:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I think this is the worst movie.

[00:50:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, it might not be this.

[00:50:26] [SPEAKER_03]: It might be another Lucy Hale movie where like, I couldn't even.

[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I finished it actually, but it was so bad.

[00:50:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to finish a rom-com.

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's be clear, but it's not going to be good.

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Why does it a 6.2?

[00:50:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.

[00:50:39] [SPEAKER_02]: The bullshit.

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, no.

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait.

[00:50:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause I need to let y'all know the worst movie that I've ever seen in my entire

[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_03]: life.

[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love bad movies.

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It was Lucy Hale and a nice girl like you.

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I have not seen this.

[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_03]: After being accused of being too inhibited by her ex BF, a violinist creates a rather wild

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_03]: to do list that sends her on a whirlwind journey of self discovery.

[00:51:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It's literally so bad.

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_02]: What up with this woman with like much older men, or maybe they just look older.

[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_02]: They love doing that.

[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.

[00:51:12] [SPEAKER_02]: It has horror, horror, um, reviews, but this is like that Wikipedia game, right?

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Like how can we connect this?

[00:51:20] [SPEAKER_02]: How can we connect to Sean White?

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:51:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So, so she was dating this guy so well.

[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm moving on to correct.

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_01]: To why?

[00:51:31] [SPEAKER_02]: No, to Glenn Powell.

[00:51:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I feel like y'all needed to know this one.

[00:51:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, what a cutie.

[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[00:51:42] [SPEAKER_02]: And then to someone named Grant Mellon.

[00:51:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I don't know who that is, but there was two months.

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.

[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And then Sean White after.

[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_03]: They've been dating for a minute too.

[00:51:53] [SPEAKER_03]: The Glenn Powell thing is funny.

[00:51:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a bit like fresh in Hollywood, like just starting off when they like started dating.

[00:51:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Fresh off of endurance.

[00:52:01] Yeah.

[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so I just needed to share that with everyone because what the hell?

[00:52:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.

[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_01]: America, are there any other shows?

[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you mentioned like a few, but obviously I think TVD is a special place in your heart.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Are there any other shows that are like that for you though?

[00:52:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Either from a nostalgia perspective or like this is the best show ever perspective?

[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, maybe Supernatural because it was around the same time.

[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't watch a lot of TV when I was little, but I watched Supernatural around the same time as this.

[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And I watched like all 16 seasons.

[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And I was going to say, did you, you watched it all?

[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I watched it all.

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And I, I, I'm not going to do that to Corey because it's, it's, it's a lot of episodes and it does get boring after a while.

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And like a part of like the, you know, like what attracts me to that or what attracted me to the show was like, oh my God, it's like two hot men, you know, that I'm watching.

[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, um, really, but other than that, I don't know.

[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I watched Grey's Anatomy, but that was later.

[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It just doesn't have the same like nostalgia, like factor.

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Have you been interested in checking out the boys at all?

[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Considering like not only Eric Kripke again, like show runner for, and there's a lot of Supernatural crossover.

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I heard that.

[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_03]: What's his name?

[00:53:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I know Jensen.

[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Jensen's late.

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Played a role.

[00:53:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, I think, I think so next season is the last season.

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I believe the rumors are that Jared Padalecki is showing up there.

[00:53:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow.

[00:53:30] [SPEAKER_03]: That would be cute.

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_03]: A fun reunion.

[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know.

[00:53:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I'm into this.

[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it good?

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Have y'all watched it?

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_02]: The boys?

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_03]: The boys.

[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, do you like ridiculous gore?

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, oh, over the top.

[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_02]: See, okay.

[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's what I have heard about it.

[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, no, I don't do gory stuff.

[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that it's good on a binge.

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I actually think like I needed a break because I was binging it for TV for real.

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:54:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, cause it was something we were going to discuss.

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and I enjoyed it cause I am a superhero Marvel girly.

[00:54:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and this felt more like if superheroes were real, this is, I think how they would actually

[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_02]: be like, um, drunk with power.

[00:54:17] [SPEAKER_02]: So it, it, I love that concept of it.

[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_02]: It was just, it's a lot.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot.

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot.

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's, you know, when it's good, it's really good.

[00:54:28] [SPEAKER_01]: But then like, it gets a little gratuitous sometimes of like shock for the shakes, the

[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_01]: sake of shock.

[00:54:34] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I otherwise like if you have the stomach for it, again, it's a very fun supernatural

[00:54:39] [SPEAKER_01]: crossover.

[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of like random people that will, will show up there.

[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_03]: People love it.

[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I've heard good things, but right now, what am I watching right now?

[00:54:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I love, uh, like Emily in Paris.

[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't seen the new season.

[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm watching that now.

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I love it.

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:54:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I love Ginny and Georgia.

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And I finished, and there were just a bunch of Netflix shows that I was watching.

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Like never have I ever, you know, I know, you know, that's my show.

[00:55:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I've been watching.

[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:55:15] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot of reality TV right now.

[00:55:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I'm watching survivor and there's real housewives and there, you know what I mean?

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Like there's so many shows.

[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_03]: What real housewives are you watching?

[00:55:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Right now, Salt Lake City.

[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause I've never watched it before.

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm like slowly trying to get through it.

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And they only have like five seasons.

[00:55:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:55:33] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what I was going to say.

[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good entry.

[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I've heard as well.

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Like that's the one that I, I have yet to enter into housewives, but like, I want

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_01]: to do that one.

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Cause it feels like not only the easiest to commit to, but also like I heard, especially

[00:55:45] [SPEAKER_01]: in those first couple of seasons, like some wild shit goes down in it.

[00:55:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, look the first couple of episodes, I'm like, Oh, Jen Shaw.

[00:55:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I love her.

[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I love Jen Shaw.

[00:55:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like America.

[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_03]: She's in jail.

[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And I was going to say like, did the SWAT team start bringing down your door when you

[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_01]: said that?

[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God.

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, no, I'm like on episode two right now.

[00:56:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And then I got further in and the way they actually document like the whole thing.

[00:56:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And like, even after, after she gets charged, she's like, I'm innocent.

[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't know what they're talking.

[00:56:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think her tagline is like, the only crime I've committed is being Shaw amazing.

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, Oh, you know, the producers were like crashing up when they made her say

[00:56:29] [SPEAKER_03]: that.

[00:56:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[00:56:30] [SPEAKER_02]: No, Jen Shaw is Oh my God.

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_02]: What is what a specimen that we were graced on TV.

[00:56:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Her Mary is insane.

[00:56:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Mary Cosby and I know I heard she's back so I'm excited to see her back on the screen.

[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_03]: But she says the craziest things.

[00:56:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I love.

[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Real Housewives of Potomac is another easier, shorter one.

[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I watched three seasons of those.

[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:56:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Atlanta is my baby.

[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Again, obviously, I love all things Atlanta.

[00:57:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to get through everything eventually, but there's just not enough time.

[00:57:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:57:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Real Housewives of Atlanta after Nini leaves you can stop watching.

[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's okay.

[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_03]: How many seasons is that though?

[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[00:57:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, you're going to identify that with a response.

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Last thing I want to ask.

[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because we're talking about running out of time.

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_01]: America, if there was a scripted version of Big Brother 25, who would you cast to play

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_01]: yourself?

[00:57:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, wait, what's the question again?

[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so from.

[00:57:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Probably just just in general, like, no, just no any any celebrity if you could if there

[00:57:43] [SPEAKER_01]: was like, uh, if someone was making a scripted version of Big Brother 25.

[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Reliving all the pulse pounding action.

[00:57:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Who do you who would you cast to play yourself?

[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, who's like super chatty?

[00:57:55] [SPEAKER_03]: LOL.

[00:57:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I don't know.

[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I always thought like, I'm like, oh, like.

[00:58:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Amy Poehler and I would have the same kind of vibe.

[00:58:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey says she does it.

[00:58:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm like, I feel like, you know, she's like, you decide it doesn't matter.

[00:58:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_03]: So I thought her.

[00:58:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, do what?

[00:58:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, am I doing everybody else in the BB 25 cast?

[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if there's others you want to throw out, have you thought about what about what

[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_01]: about Corey?

[00:58:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Corey would be like at least the one that we want to hear about.

[00:58:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey would definitely be.

[00:58:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey.

[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He thinks is his name Adam Scott.

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:58:30] [SPEAKER_01]: From from Parks and Rec.

[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Parks and Rec.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I literally was gonna say that and I was like, is that cheesy AF?

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:58:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Because they're together on the show.

[00:58:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, we're thinking I was thinking like Adam Scott for him.

[00:58:45] [SPEAKER_01]: What do you think Sasha?

[00:58:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Any, any assessments you have?

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's so funny.

[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I was.

[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that you need someone a little bit cooler.

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Like Amy Poehler is cool in that.

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Like she's funny.

[00:58:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Cool.

[00:58:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that makes sense.

[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not like gonna pick a fight.

[00:59:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I had one.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I had one in mind and I'm not sure.

[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_01]: But I, I could see Rachel Zegler playing America.

[00:59:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I love her.

[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, if I could sing.

[00:59:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah.

[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what I mean.

[00:59:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause she's everywhere.

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_03]: People love her.

[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_01]: People love her.

[00:59:18] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, she, she says things that people then like villainize online as well.

[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So like, it's perfect.

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_02]: You mean she turns off her humanity?

[00:59:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever.

[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Humanity.

[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Chapel Rhone.

[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what I mean.

[00:59:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I think you should, you need to pick like a girly pop for real.

[00:59:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll, I'll think about it some more, but okay.

[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Thinking about TV cast.

[00:59:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I would definitely be Caroline.

[00:59:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh.

[00:59:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:59:45] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't think, I think I'm Caroline.

[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm definitely not like, I don't know.

[00:59:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't see anybody else.

[00:59:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey would be like who?

[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey might be like maybe Elijah.

[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_03]: He'd be one of the originals for sure.

[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Like too cool, but yeah.

[01:00:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Like too cool for everybody.

[01:00:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I love that.

[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.

[01:00:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, while vampires have a lot of time, unfortunately we do not.

[01:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: We have to bring this to a close America.

[01:00:18] [SPEAKER_01]: This was fantastic.

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for bringing us into your world.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It's spooky season.

[01:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think it is perfect timing.

[01:00:23] [SPEAKER_01]: If people want to check it out.

[01:00:24] [SPEAKER_01]: It's all on Netflix.

[01:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I believe.

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it is.

[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Netflix, HBO.

[01:00:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[01:00:30] [SPEAKER_03]: It hops around.

[01:00:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It gets, it gets around.

[01:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: It's certainly does.

[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: But you are keeping yourself busy.

[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_01]: You talk about, Oh, I'm watching a lot of reality TV.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: By the way.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.

[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Peacock.

[01:00:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just watching out Peacock.

[01:00:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[01:00:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But you're also talking about reality TV as well with the hit new podcast.

[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And you are firmly in the golden bachelorette.

[01:00:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Tell people about it for those that are uninitiated.

[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_03]: So I am a huge bachelor nation girly.

[01:01:03] [SPEAKER_03]: So I have my podcast called America tells all, and I do like, you know, weekly recaps with reality TV guests, which are super cool.

[01:01:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I just recorded with Marianne Ocatch from survivor yesterday.

[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And she is so much fun.

[01:01:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, we just, yeah, I had so much fun talking about all the, the old men on the golden bachelorette.

[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so much fun.

[01:01:25] [SPEAKER_03]: They're so cute and sweet and they're all there for the right reasons, which we love.

[01:01:30] [SPEAKER_03]: So you can go check that out.

[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, at our America tells all.com.

[01:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[01:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been checking out a little bit of the golden bachelorette and also checking out your coverage.

[01:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's, it's so much fun.

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: You're such a natural, the podcast is also quintessentially you.

[01:01:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And so like, check it out.

[01:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a perfect companion piece.

[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and if people want to check out anything else you're doing social media, any other plugs you want to give out?

[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, yeah, me and Corey have our Patreon.

[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a patreon.com slash America Corey.

[01:01:58] [SPEAKER_03]: If you want to, you know, if you need more America Corey, Twitter isn't enough for you.

[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You can get some more stuff there and you can find me on Twitter.

[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, a dog nine five six.

[01:02:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't really tweet anymore because like you said, there's those rabid, like losers online that will jump on everything I say.

[01:02:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, you know what?

[01:02:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Leave America alone.

[01:02:17] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but it's like, I want what I'm like.

[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I, I don't care about this enough.

[01:02:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna, you know, put myself out there like that.

[01:02:27] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, protect my peace.

[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_03]: There you go.

[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: At the end of the day, that's that is all that matters.

[01:02:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And America, thank you for coming on and chatting with us.

[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_01]: This was such a great time.

[01:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Sasha, anything you'd like to plug?

[01:02:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, of course.

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I am talking pop culture,

[01:02:43] [SPEAKER_02]: gossip.

[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Listen, if something's trending and you want to know why,

[01:02:47] [SPEAKER_02]: check out mess magnets where Chris and McInnes and I got you covered.

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Just go on mess magnets dot com to know everything and where to follow us.

[01:02:56] [SPEAKER_02]: So check that out.

[01:02:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And of course, Matt Liguori and I are talking dancing with the stars.

[01:03:03] [SPEAKER_02]: So check that out on Rob is a podcast YouTube channel where listen, we got visuals to go with everything we're doing.

[01:03:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And like that, Matt was away this week having fun in New York.

[01:03:14] [SPEAKER_02]: So we were joined by talking batches, Haley strong.

[01:03:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm another batch.

[01:03:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm on R.H.A.P.

[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_02]: So it was really fun because Haley was able to give me all the tea, the like deep tea on the bachelorette stars on dancing with the stars.

[01:03:29] [SPEAKER_02]: So it was really great.

[01:03:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Check that out.

[01:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_02]: And for everything else I'm doing, just follow me on Twitter.

[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_02]: On size underscore.

[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, four.

[01:03:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.

[01:03:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Usual stuff.

[01:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Survivor.

[01:03:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Big Brother just finished.

[01:03:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I had a nice fun late night doing those interviews, talking the penguin, doing the B&B every week.

[01:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It's grand old time, as is this, as we'll be back next week with another reality star talking at scripted TV.

[01:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you all so much for listening, America.

[01:04:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Sasha.

[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Looking forward to hearing your vampire diaries thoughts eventually as you dive into the coffin and check it all out.

[01:04:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Let us know your thoughts as to other people you'd like to see, other subjects you'd like talked about on TV for real.

[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Until next time, though, everybody, it's been real.
