Summer of Stein Big Brother 28 Week 5 Also available on YouTube. Big Brother 28 keeps the drama alive as evictions and blindsides shake up trust in the house. This Summer of Stein with Rob Cesternino and Eric Stein dives into the fallout after the house flips and major alliances scramble to control the vote. [β¦][00:00:08] watching the show for a lot of times.
[00:00:36] We're back. It's week number five and here he is, just flew in. It's Eric Stein. Whew, I just took one of Mallory's guided tours and I'm gonna just go on a limb and guess I should not be winded from rocking my chair for 25 seconds, right? Yeah, Mallory has really turned into like the camp counselor of the Big Brother house. She's invaluable.
[00:01:03] Excellent position to be in the house if you can lull people into a false sense of security, keep them happy. It's like the cooking strategy but more fun. I love it. I tried to do this on the Trader's Castle. I was like, hey everybody, we're gonna play a game today. We're all gonna pretend that we're in a tour bus and they were just like, alright, kill him instantly. You gotta go home. Yeah, that's it. Enough of you. Alright, so we're here after another busy week in the Big Brother house, but more importantly, Eric, how are you?
[00:01:33] I am, this is the first time that I'm almost ready to quit the podcast. Oh no. I have some beefs with Big Brother this week. It's nothing personal, Rob, but I'm feeling a little upset with the powers that be at Big Brother this week. Yes, okay. What should we lower the DEFCOM to? Do you lower or raise the DEFCOM? That's a great question. I would say, yeah, maybe we're at an alert level of 17. 17.
[00:02:02] But I don't know what that's on the scale of. 17, are we in danger of perhaps you walking away from the season and the summer of Stein? I don't think so. I think that I'm enjoying what we're doing here, so I might just stop watching. Yeah. And then you could just sort of fill me in. Do you want Pauly Calafiore to come back for a pep talk? I do think that I could use some of his inspiring words.
[00:02:26] I do find it somewhat ironic that it seems that years of feeding the positive has led him to stay crushing it. We have actually seen this man have a full-on face turn from heel into beloved baby face right before our very eyes. And I do not think the irony on me is lost that his own words were what we all needed all along. Yeah, yeah. And incredible that it all worked out that way. But why are you so upset with the powers that be? Oh, we'll get to it later in the show.
[00:02:56] Oh! There's a little poll that they posted. A tease. An omission from that poll that has me stewing a little bit. Okay. All right. We'll check in with you on that. What about non-Big Brother? What's going on with you this week? Well, my kids have not slept in about a month. So therefore, I have not slept in about a month. So I would say I'm feeling pretty surly, quite fatigued overall. Yeah. And otherwise, I'm doing great. I'm happy to be here.
[00:03:24] I was wondering, you know, there was a little bit of a wild pull by the announcer man at the beginning of last night's episode. Yes. Which one? And I've been thinking about it ever since. Which do you identify with more? Do you consider yourself more MMA or AARP? Oh, I think I'm 0% MMA. I'm not quite AARP, but I think I would probably relate to the AARP way more than the MMA. Well, I would hope that the... Well, you're a pretty fit guy. I don't know.
[00:03:54] I don't know how nimble you are if you can do the jujitsu and such. But I would think the AARP probably comes with some benefits, like maybe some discounts or maybe some roadside car assistance or something. I think I probably most identify with ALF. ALF. You know, that's more where I'm at. The alien life form. Gordon Shumway. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. All right.
[00:04:20] Well, let's keep on the table a full ALF rewatch podcast for you and I. I don't know if anybody's ever done that yet. I was at one point going to pitch NBC on a prank show starring ALF called Mission to Melmac. And it was going to be like a Joe Schmo or a jury duty. And we were going to get like a bunch of really stupid people and tell them that they were going on the world's first sanctioned trip to Melmac.
[00:04:50] And ALF was going to bring them back and they were going to go into training for their mission. And then they were going to like have to eat cats along the way. And, you know, all this to do in Melmac. And he was going to go back to see his true love, Rhonda. Yes. And then I tried to reach out to ALF, but I did not get any return message whatsoever. And then I just dropped the entire idea and I never pitched it. Yeah. Okay.
[00:05:19] Well, if anybody's going to reboot the hot ALF IP, I believe in you. I think it's pretty fitting. I'm probably about the biggest name out there angling for the IP. Yeah. Speaking of ALF, what do you think about Rick Devins has been working with a puppet in the house? Have you seen this? Oh, I have not seen this yet. That does not sound like a good idea.
[00:05:45] Do we have any footage or a picture of Rick Devins is working a puppet in the house? Rick Devins has now created a puppet character. I have seen some of the online conjecture turning against fun uncle Rick. And it's hitting me a little bit hard because I know that my best case scenario would be fun uncle.
[00:06:10] Fun uncle Eric being I could be a lot less liked than that in my worst case scenario. And it's like, you know, people are getting on the man for having a good time, being a little bit corny. Like, what do you want people to do in this house? They're bored to death. It's 90 days. What's he supposed to do? At least he's not being an ass. Like, you know? So, I don't think the puppet's going to help him. Yeah. Here's Rick Devins' new puppet character. I'm not sure if we have a name yet for the Rick Devins puppet character.
[00:06:40] It looks a lot like an oven mitt. Yes. Yes. So. Is there a voice that goes there? I'm worried about this. I don't like this. All right. We'll see where we go with Rick Devins puppet. But let's go ahead and bring you our top stories at this hour. And let's see about, let's go back to one week ago, Eric.
[00:07:08] You know, we talk on Thursday and then we have such a big Thursday, a newsy Thursday to talk about what's going on. And don't forget the lyric. Lyric. It was one week ago tonight that the house flipped and took Lyric out of the game. And we hadn't gotten your thoughts on it. We were talking with Pauly Calafiore just one week ago. But this wasn't even on our minds yet. So I have somewhat forgotten that she was there.
[00:07:36] And I'm sort of glad that she went home. And I enjoyed her enough in the house. But we want as many dynamic options and groupings and pairings as humanly possible moving forward. And I do believe that Drew and Melody are going to provide greater options and greater width of outcomes or breadth of outcomes moving forward.
[00:08:01] I don't think she had that much to give, especially with the strategy of crawling to the power. So I feel pretty good about it. And I don't think apology is the right word. But I will give you an open forum to acknowledge that she was not a good dynamic player, which I had been telling you for a few weeks. Whereas you had planted your flag as a lyricist and were suggesting great things to come for Lyric.
[00:08:30] And I don't think we ever rose to that level. Yeah. Well, it's hard for me to not be results oriented. But I did feel like that she demonstrated an ability to be able to particularly be able to influence the male players in the house. Yash, Kamu, Rome, Chuck. I mean, listen, they say this woman's not a gamer. You see how close she's getting to Chuck?
[00:08:59] And so she's willing to do whatever it took that they could not resist the siren song of Lyric. The issue was that she did too good of a job. Kamu went to bat for her too much. And then people felt like, oh, she's never going to turn on Kamu and Chuck. I think that she was like an ultimate opportunist in the Big Brother house. And so I think that was was she an all time elite player? No, I don't think so.
[00:09:26] I thought she had a potential in that she was willing to really work on manipulating the men in a way that I feel like that not all of the house guests are comfortable doing. And I thought she had that ability and I thought that she was very self-interested. But ultimately, I think that she read a little transparent to a lot of the other players in the house. And let's just name check those men that she was influencing again. Yash, Chuck.
[00:09:53] I mean, I would say it doesn't take a rocket scientist to influence them. But but quite literally, the rocket scientist cannot influence. But but yeah, even G and Devin's like she really like she was up on the block in the week that Rome went home. They went she went to both of them and they're like, yeah, I really I believe Lyric. I think she's I think she'll work with us. So I think that she really what was better than many in similar situations.
[00:10:20] I think that that's fair. If you're looking at the totality of players that have stepped foot in the Big Brother house, she had some chops within her. But I do think it was too transparent, too quick to jump off and and betray and realign. And, you know, I don't think that she was doing too much. But I do think a lot of that was a byproduct of she was sort of on her back foot right from the beginning. Yeah. And so so probably never got a chance to settle in.
[00:10:49] I do think there is a world in which she could have entrenched herself into the power structure. But ultimately, I do not think she's going to go down in a Big Brother history. You know, when you look back on the season, she's going to be a tough name to pull out of your head five years from now, in my opinion. Right. You hope for her. Well, first off, we hope true love with Rome.
[00:11:10] But if it doesn't work out, I do hope for her an appearance on the challenge that it seems like that they have a very wide casting criteria for what they're doing on the challenge. So I would love to see her get another opportunity at a show. She was also quite good in the competitions. Pickleball, she dominated. I really can't worry about Lyric getting another opportunity on a show. I'd like to see me get another opportunity on a show. Maybe Vanessa. That would be cool.
[00:11:38] You know, some other people. Lyric. I, you know, just it's fine. It's fine. You're fine. Everything's fine. What do you think about the decision, though, for the vets to decide to evict Lyric? I think that they probably made the right move to evict and the wrong move to leave the others out of the vote and be very wrong move to lie about it.
[00:12:01] The lying was completely insane and just for their own amusement, because there is no, you know, Chuck and Kamu, they know how they personally voted. There's no gray area or confusion. The people with their jaws on the ground, they obviously were blindsided by the vote. So the only person that was even debatable to pin this on was Yash. And that was still then two other unaccounted for votes.
[00:12:29] It is unfathomable that they could not piece together immediately that it was Dee and Angela. A real who done it. Right. I don't know where they were going with this or where they were hoping to to take this. If you're going to blindside them, say, yeah, we did it. It was better for our game or that's the way the tides were turning and we didn't have a chance to to get a hold of you. But better yet, just include the others on the vote. Make up some just like you had to lie about this.
[00:12:55] Just say, hey, listen, I know Lyric is up there kissing your butt this week, but she came to us and she was throwing you under the bus. We just got to clean this up. She's a mercenary, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But to not include them, alienate them and then transparently lie about it was truly insane. Well, Dee and Devons, they do like being messy. They sort of get a high off of like doing crazy stuff. I think they thought it was going to be six to five and not eight to three.
[00:13:22] And so I think that there was going to be much more room to hide in the five than the three. And so, you know, when you're like like sitting with the people who definitely did vote to keep Lyric then and you're telling them that they're that like there's a different liar. It's a harder sell than if there was five people who voted to keep Lyric. And she goes out with six votes. So you could pin it on Yash and maybe create some more of a wedge. But they did keep up the charade way too long. Speaking of charade, that reminds me of something.
[00:13:52] So, yeah, I don't want to be a wet blanket. I don't want to be the Derek Levasseur of this situation where he's on Unlocked. He's like, you know, this wasn't the right move optimally, which it's not. But as a fan, I very much enjoyed the mess. We don't get the money. Right. But the charade of it all, on Unlocked, is it just me or did Jerry refer to Derek as Derek Levasseur? Which seemed like a very fancy way of saying his name that I've never heard before.
[00:14:20] You know, I didn't clock that, but I could see that. Jerry O'Connell, he's having fun with everything and trying to put a little bit of a wrinkle, maybe giving Derek a new nickname. Yeah, or it may have been like Levasseur or something. It was a very fancy pronunciation, which I like. Yeah, I don't think Derek minds. So going back to Thursday night, there was a bunch of things that happened on that Thursday night episode. I wanted to get your reaction to. We have, of course, some shout outs.
[00:14:49] I vote to evict Melody. Thank you. Shout out Chipotle. Chipotle is my life. Eric, if you were going to shout out a fast casual restaurant, what would it be? Oh, that's a good one. I mean, probably Shake Shack is probably good. Although I will say in the fast casual of it all, it does take a little while to get it sometimes. And, you know, I'm not trying to get fast food but wait 25 minutes.
[00:15:17] And I know they're making it fresh, same with In-N-Out, but it's, you know, it takes a while. I do still, I don't have a McDonald's near me anymore. And I find myself missing it sometimes. The sweet and sour sauce really is something that I hold really true to my heart. In fact, it was on one of my favorite foods lists. They used to ask you when you moved into the Big Brother house. And I said McDonald's sweet and sour sauce. But they put a comma between the two.
[00:15:44] And they said that my favorite foods were McDonald's, comma, and sweet and sour sauce. Which was not true. Not true. It was specifically their sauce. Yeah. I think this is actually genius from Yash. I mean, we saw the lays of it all just a few years ago. I mean, brand deals are everything for influencers. I mean, he could put on the steppas and get himself over the Chipotle. Secure the bag. Yeah. I mean, even if the man just gets a nice coupon book out of it for a couple $3 off,
[00:16:14] it's well worth it for an extra month of affordable burritos. So I think this is way better than talking about whatever the heck else anybody else is shouting. Right. Shout out your friend who doesn't care. So, Eric, should we give out an award maybe like they do on Unlocked where they have the dumbass of the week and I forget what the kickass of the week. The Eric's Sweet and Sour Award for the week. Ooh.
[00:16:44] Sounds both sweet and sour. We can work on that. Perfect for meat that isn't meat nuggets. That's how I like it. All right. All right. So on Thursday night also, we got to hear the speeches of all of the house guests. Here was Melody giving her speech to the house. Julie, you look gorgeous. House guests. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I've had so much fun. I've had so much fun on the show. Mira can't believe what you said just now.
[00:17:14] And then apparently something inappropriate because she got a dressing down from Julie. No cursing, please. Not since Julie lost the programming in her ear has there been a more Julie moment. This is more Julie being Julie than trying to marry people who have known each other for two weeks and planning their wedding invitations and wedding songs.
[00:17:43] I, all week long, I went around telling my wife, chit, chit, chit, chit, chit, chit, in the future. No cursing, please. No cursing, please. You know, I'm looking at my soundboard and this is going back through the old Summer of Stein. I have this. Please don't curse. Please don't curse. I did not know she's been on an eight-year journey. Yeah. Okay. So, yeah.
[00:18:14] Julie is still always looking for people not to curse, please, if you can. All right? Settle down, Beavis. Okay. All right. Beavis and Butt-Head used to curse a lot, though. I suppose they did. Yeah. That was our great friend Jackson, formerly known as Mickey, right? I think so. Yeah. Okay. All right. Then, Eric, we are in a little bit of a pickle. We've got Haley. She's on the block.
[00:18:44] She may well go home tonight. It could be the end of the road for Haley. Any thoughts on the five-week, rough, rough five weeks for Haley? She had some very interesting ideas about how the show is played and made this week. From, you're not trying to record this diary room session, are you? Yes. Which is unprecedented. Yes. I have that.
[00:19:13] Yes, she said to them in the diary room, hey, you're not going to film this, right? And I really hope you're not trying to record and do a DR right now, because I look like absolute ass, and I would have to go put bacon on respectfully. I just, I hope you're not trying to record me right now. I don't know what she did to them sometime in the last week or two, but there has not been this vicious of a turn in the edit in quite some time.
[00:19:39] I remember back on Big Brother 8, there was a period of time in which Amber made some off-color remarks that got them some very negative press. And from that point on, they buried her in the edit. They did an America's Next Top Model segment with unflattering photos of her. They did a segment about how she can't spell basic words.
[00:20:08] I think once you have made an enemy of production, it is over for you. But I don't know what Haley actually did to them. I think she's giving them exactly what they ever wanted. I think that they wanted to protect Kamu and decided, okay, we're instead going to go all in on Haley and Chuck. I also thought she had a five-oofer in this episode.
[00:20:33] The idea that the worst-case scenario would be for her to use the veto on herself and Kamu end up on the block. I do not think she thought this through, really. That is not a logical plan. I understand all three of them being on the block may have been slightly worse than two of them being on the block.
[00:20:56] But him being on the block instead of her being on the block does not seem like the worst-case scenario for her. So I do not like that very much from her. She was willing to lay down her sword for the alliance. It was almost like that she was capitulating to the idea of like, okay, well, we know Kamu is the best player of all three of us. So if I go down this week, okay, so be it. That's collateral damage.
[00:21:25] It's more important for the mission that Kamu stays in the house to defeat the other side when he had already flipped. When he had already flipped, I don't think he's going to be sharing the prize money with her. I do not think they have that type of tight relationship. Also, I have heard her... It's not like a game of Mafia where the red corner has won the season if Kamu wins, right? Yeah.
[00:21:51] And then I heard that according to her, she's been being viciously bullied by Lala this week. Which, from anything I have seen, is not true. Although I really, really greatly enjoyed Lala sending her to her room. Yes. That was rough. She sent her to her room, which was the bathroom. Go to your room. This actually happened once.
[00:22:20] So back many moons ago, my brother and I used to play Madden a lot. We were playing franchise mode. It's that time of year. Yeah. I believe I was in college and he was in high school. He had his first girlfriend. And as happens with young love sometimes, they would bicker about things sometimes. And she thought that they were having a private phone conversation. But we were actually playing Madden at the time.
[00:22:48] And she heard me in the background. And we were laughing. And this made her irate. And she told my brother to go to his room. And she kept repeating it over and over again. Go to your room. You don't have this conversation in public. Not with your brother there. Go to your room. Now. Yeah. Okay. So she wasn't punishing him. She was saying that please move to a private location. I think it was a little bit of both, to be honest. Yeah. A little bit of both. He was now in trouble and also needed to be private.
[00:23:17] So, but we were in the middle of a franchise. You can't be interrupting that. So he pretended to walk to his room. He got up. He took some steps loudly. So it sounded like you. And then he circled back, sat back down and started playing the game again. But then she heard me again in the background. And then we both got in big, big trouble. So when someone sends you to your room as an adult, you have to listen to them. You got in trouble? How did you get in trouble? I was provoking the situation.
[00:23:47] She doesn't have any jurisdiction over you. I don't think she had any jurisdiction over him. Apparently not. But anyway, but so, I mean, listen, it is rough to be sent to your room as an adult. There was... I would love if my wife sent me to my room. That would be nice, right? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Right before the fight breaks, right? It's like, let's just stop this right here. You go to your room. All right. If I have to.
[00:24:17] Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it is... You know, it's kind of funny. Because I took more glee in her being in charge of the house and claiming that she was having a rough week than her actually having a rough week. You would think the comeuppance would be cause for celebration and greater hilarity. But this is actually just more pathetic. Someone who... It's a classic bully, right? She was more than happy to push other people around the second that somebody swung back against her.
[00:24:46] It was tail between her legs, cowering in the corner, and the lack of fight, the lack of comprehension of the moving parts around her. It's pathetic. You're stuck there anyway. There is nothing else to do. Have a little fight in you. Like, to be rooting for someone that you just met over yourself. Yeah. Seriously. She needs a pep talk. She needed to hear Pauly's cameo for her at the end of the last episode as a little pick-me-up.
[00:25:15] They should have pumped it in through the DR. I mean, this is... She is an all-timer. She's an all-timer. Yeah. She really is. She is someone... And it does not seem that production feels this way necessarily. But she is someone that I would enjoy watching every single season. And I think that, you know, I think the tides have turned. That, you know, the people who really know game, we all see it. We all see that this is additive to the house. Not to living in the house, but to watching people living in the house. Absolutely.
[00:25:43] Yeah, I think the key is that she has just, like, zero self-awareness. And I think that that is going to be fun. And again, you have zero self-awareness. And there are negatives that come along with that. You know, it creates a lot of problems for production, I'm sure, at different times also. But having a person with just no awareness of themselves, no ability to see how other people are seeing them, it can be incredibly fun to watch.
[00:26:09] And we didn't realize this, but she also has a partner in Delusion in Chuck. We didn't know this because he was previously a non-playable character. And I liked him more when you couldn't actually spring him to action and he didn't speak on the episodes. But once they got him going in the diary room, kudos to whatever story producer fed him the line of his unstoppable naval boat versus an inflatable boat. And how the old lady is delusional.
[00:26:37] To get a delusional person to accuse someone else of being delusional is a masterstroke in the DR. And I thought he was just, you know, vacant. I didn't realize he was also completely delusional. So to have them as, you know, delusional siblings, partners in crime, very enjoyable. Now, Eric, I hope you're not implying that they're a showmance. In her speech, she said that Hayley and I are a couple. She's a beautiful lady.
[00:27:05] And I think she thinks I'm a handsome guy. But we truly are just friends. Don't get it twisted, Eric. Thank God we set the record straight on that. We were really worried, you know, the charisma. Has one person on the entire Internet shipped Chuck and Hayley? Have you seen anybody, anybody thinking that? Anybody rooting for that? I couldn't fathom either one of them individually on a date, let alone with each other.
[00:27:37] I couldn't imagine two people having less chemistry between them. What about Frank? I saw someone in the edit realize, like, boy, we might be losing Chuck this week. We got to get all the Chuck content in. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I would be sad if we lost Hayley, but I am coming around to ironically standing Chuck. So.
[00:28:06] I feel like they, the. I'm an optimist. The team is doing a really good job with their characters this season. And with the more authentic DRs, they are letting Mallory and Melody be themselves. And they're letting Hayley and Chuck be themselves. And sometimes being oneself is far more entertaining than being whatever fabricated version of a character that they had come up with for them. I mean, they cast these people out of thousands of people for a reason. Let them cook. I love it.
[00:28:36] I'm cook. All right. We saw this week a big episode on Wednesday night. Angela versus Hayley. You thought Wrestlegasm happened a couple of weeks ago. Well, the main event was in Wednesday night's episode, which we had not seen on the feeds. But we saw it where Angela went off on Hayley and Hayley made up a lie about Angela.
[00:29:05] And Angela did not appreciate it. So this brings me back to our first iteration of Summer of Stein as well, where we posed the question, what's wrong with Angela? And I. She is really, really coming unglued again here. And I do not know Angela on a personal level. Yeah. I do not know what is real or what are theatrics.
[00:29:34] I don't know on how on tilt she is on a regular day in her own home or if it's the extenuating circumstances. But. First. She tells a pointless lie. Then she becomes overcome with guilt over her own lie that no one made her tell. Tell. Then instead of simply lying like everybody does a thousand times a day in the house, she then has to come clean in this dramatic fashion that victimizes herself. Then.
[00:30:04] Then. Then. She. Becomes indignant when somebody else lies in her presence in spite of the fact that she has spent all week lying and then escalates it to a totally insane and unnecessarily level. And I thought this was actually a pretty good, you know, sort of like it's like an interrogation tactic that Haley used. This was very plausibly true.
[00:30:31] And she could have easily gotten D to just be like, oh, I can't believe she told you. And Gary the slip up a credit to D for not getting caught, you know, in this lie. But I thought this was a very solid and calculated lie by Haley. And I think that's what set Angela off. I the notion that they were such dear friends and that this is such a betrayal of trust. I mean, this is the game. This is big brother. This is the most mild lying. And the response is.
[00:31:01] Just way off the charts. Yeah. So I think that Haley actually stumbled into a good one here, but I don't think that there was the. The motive behind it of I'm going to drive a wedge between D and Angela. I think it was just like, OK, this will make Angela mad if I say this. But Angela, I think, very keenly reacted this way where this was basically Haley's attempt to cut off Angela's life support in the game.
[00:31:30] I think that without Devins and D, like if they ever turn their back on Angela, Angela's dead to rights. She has nothing. So I think that it was almost like they tried to like cut off the thing that keeps her alive in the game by saying like, you didn't throw D under the bus to me. And then, you know, so that really was touching the third rail for Angela. I would have kept going if I was Haley. I would have said, OK, so if you didn't say that, who was it? Yeah. Who was the other vote? Who told the lie? I would have. You know, you live.
[00:32:00] Why did you tell me Devins has the power? Yeah. Keep poking because she obviously got going back to her. Her egg isms would would crack under the pressure. And I but I guess. What does she keep saying? I'm like, I'm just a little scrambled sometimes. Yes. A scrambled egghead. It's like, OK, a diary told you that in week two. Stop saying it. It wasn't like your your gimmick for the whole season. But also this in this argument between them.
[00:32:30] And I don't know who's serious or who's doing this for show or who's just like needs some fresh air. But this this whole idea, I think a lot of the house guests from stay tuned for that story. Shouting out the family as some sort of currency. Or like a sign of loyalty that like if I were to. First of all, who cares? Second of all, they don't even know if they really said it. Third of all, why are you shouting out someone else's family?
[00:32:56] And the fact that you can only say my family's name if we are close and you don't lie to me. Yeah. This is all completely bad shit. Yeah. I wanted to ask you about the etiquette of this. So I think that this has been something and we talk about some like sometimes in every single house has their own sort of like little things that are part of the society that each season builds.
[00:33:20] I believe on Devin's H.O.H., Kamu shouted out the Devin's family. And then the next week when it was Kamu's H.O.H., Devin's shouted out the Kirk family. And then somebody needed to be the representative. Now Haley's like, well, it's my H.O.H. And I don't get to give shout outs to my family. Angela was in as Haley's closest friend in the house. She was charged with you have to give a shout out to my.
[00:33:49] And I suspect that. And again, maybe it won't happen because that Lala and Taylor are not in the same. I suspect Taylor will shout out Lala's family, maybe even call Julie a sister from another mister when she goes to the diary room on Thursday night's episode. But the etiquette of like, can you shout out a family member if you are disobeying the wishes of the H.O.H.? Is that poor taste?
[00:34:16] I think it would have been an opportunity to, you know, maybe go full Sandra Diaz twine and say like, you know, Haley thought I was going to shout out her family members in this vote. But I don't know about that because I think it would be a great time for a diary room betrayal. Then you come out. I said everything you wanted me to say. I, you know, I cherish the opportunity to shout out your family. Shout out Lala's dad.
[00:34:42] Yeah, I'm not shouting out anybody, let alone anybody else's family. And I don't care who I betray the the God. Here we go again for the 50th consecutive season of Big Brother and Survivor with the loyalty and the honesty and the code of ethics. What do these people think they are playing? What did they sign up for?
[00:35:03] And it's not incumbent upon everybody else to try to get them to the end of the game under the, you know, a code of morality that they have set forth. I don't know if this is an issue in modern casting. I don't know if the actual culture of play has shifted since I have played one of these games.
[00:35:28] If I am speaking in the Big Brother house, the only thing that you can trust me about is the fact that I am lying. That every, you know, this is insane that they think. And the slightest, most sad little lies are so personal to them. Oh, my God. Just go home. Yeah. It's terrible. I think it's sort of like a reason to be able to target people.
[00:35:51] I think it's sort of, it comes from the top down, the players who want to keep the status quo really reinforce this culture of loyalty, honor, integrity, or as Chuck would tell us, integrity, like Kamu. Come on, Kamu. Like, show you're a man of integrity. Come on. So, it keeps people from rising up against the power.
[00:36:18] Yeah, it's the Paul cult, right? It's the playbook. Yeah. A tale as old as time. And yeah, I guess if you don't stand to benefit from rocking the boat, keeping your soldiers in line, makes a lot of sense. You're making a TV show. I mean, just, oh, God. It's just brutal.
[00:36:41] I don't, but Angela, I saw Big Brother 15 winner Andy commenting on this last night. He's saying that I would be, he said he would be scared, petrified to play against an Angela type of character. And I am really in absolute lockstep with him on that because an emotional player, you don't know what their next move is.
[00:37:08] If you have a live wire, you really can't anticipate where they're coming from. I could play against the greatest strategist in the history of Big Brother, and I can anticipate what their next move is going to be every single time because they think the same way that I think. But nobody thinks the way Angela thinks. So how do you know what a scrambled egghead is going to do? And it makes it for a very dangerous situation.
[00:37:30] I mean, I think about Lydia from Big Brother 11, you know, Crazy James, some of these people that are just, they are, you know, wild men and women. And it creates a dynamic that for the people that are trying to control the situation, it's very underrated. For the American people. Yeah, because who knows what lies she's going to say? Who knows when she's going to become paranoid about you and just fabricate something in her own mind?
[00:37:56] So I think we could be seeing the beginning of the end for Angela. I think that, you know, they sold a bill of goods that she's an icon of Big Brother. She's a memorable character of Big Brother. She's certainly not an iconic game player of Big Brother. She's a personality of Big Brother.
[00:38:19] I think that it might reach the point where you have certain power pockets, both of the other icons and the newbies who are shaping the narrative of this season. And there might just reach a time where they don't care to deal with this anymore. And I'm not even saying whether or not she was right or wrong in this instance. It's just so explosive. You know, it's just very hard to manage, I think. Eric, give me a prediction here on August 13th, 2026.
[00:38:50] Angela will outlast zero, one or two of the other reality icons in the game. I think zero. Okay. I think she's the first to go. I don't know. I feel like that they're going to flip on her. Like, I don't see that. And I feel like if she's ever up on the block with them, they get rid of the icons instead of her.
[00:39:16] It might be smart for them to get rid of her where then they can never, like, go out against her on the block. Yeah, I know that this has been sort of, you know, discussed within the community. But I think, and they may not know this. Someone knows it. Barrett knows it, you know. But after watching Josh beat Paul and Ian beat Dan,
[00:39:41] Devin's and D need to be sitting next to themselves or Angela at the end of this game to win. If they're sitting next to anybody else, they are going to lose, even if they dominated the game. That is the only way for the newbies to feel a sense of power and control as well. We weren't able to get one over on you, but we can with this vote as a final screw you. So I think it's incumbent upon all of them to stay in the game and bring each other to the end.
[00:40:11] But I do think that there comes a time where if you kind of have to lose somebody, then the liability is the most likely and the worst player of the three is the most likely to go. Okay. All right. This week we saw the epic Big Brother wall comp, and it was hosted by Haley as they were, it was giving camp, and they were on a campground that was being attacked by the Sasquatch.
[00:40:40] Let's hope it wasn't camp comeback. That brings back terrible memories. Similar uniform that we saw from Haley. Yeah, I do think I may have seen this one before. Wouldn't this have been a better place for Howie, notorious Bigfoot hunter to appear than in Will World? Was that part of Howie's lore, anything with Bigfoot? Yeah, I think anything below a 65 IQ was part of his lore, probably. Yeah.
[00:41:10] Yeah. Did you like the actual Sasquatch that they had running around the backyard? I must say that I was, I may have been like half asleep because my kids haven't been sleeping, but I was having trouble tracking what was going on exactly. Yeah. When they were tossing in these little announcements about like, oh no, like the Sasquatch, like, huh? The Sasquatch was on the loose. They needed a Sasquatch repellent because that was going to put them on.
[00:41:38] And then the Sasquatch had pink eye, and then he popped it, and that was also part of the issue with the goo, and they needed more Sasquatch repellent. How do you think this works in production? You know, they have a year in between seasons, but like when they sit down and do the creative for this, is this sort of like a week-to-week meeting, or is this something that they have laid out weeks in advance?
[00:42:03] Because I do wonder sometimes, you know, we're going to do the iconic wall competition. Let's toss out some ideas. We're doing a time travel theme. Let's travel to the time that there was a Sasquatch, and he's popping. Yeah. How do we get here? So I think that probably, if I had to guess what the creative process is, I think that they sort of like have sort of the tentpole challenges. Week four is this.
[00:42:33] Week five is this. Okay, all right. We're going to do the wall comp on this night. Okay, great. What's the creative on the wall comp? I'm like, okay, what if they're in medieval times? What if they're in space? What if they're at a camp? Like, okay, and then the Sasquatch is running. All right, great. And then I think then the time that it takes place is like the last step of it. So you think when they bring out like the whiteboard and they're doing a brainstorm on this,
[00:43:03] somebody, they're tossing it out. It's like, oh, they could be getting haircuts. They could be there. And then someone says Sasquatch, and they're like, yes, that's the one. Sure. Let's go. Sure. And then they sort of like, oh, what if the goo is Sasquatch repellent? Like, oh my God, that's it. What if the Sasquatch has pink eye? Like, yes, yes. Yes. Now, you often have to brainstorm for segments for your line of work.
[00:43:30] Do you ever like, once you commit to one, are you just like going all in? Now you're thinking of every Sasquatch thing you could think of? Or do you ever, are you ever on the fence and you're wondering like, boy, I don't know if this is going to work or not. Or do you like feel hesitancy about anything? Or once you commit, you're all in on that direction. Because they seem very committed. They're very committed. I would say that if we don't have it, I think I'm not afraid to cut bait. If something is, if this isn't working, let's just not do it.
[00:44:00] I would rather not do it. And I'd rather not do something that stinks and just have it be nothing than try to force something that's not working. Someone should play that for them. They do not cut bait on these. That's my thought. Okay. All right. Here we go, Eric. Big talk yesterday. The entire Big Brother internet was talking about one thing yesterday. It's Chuck time.
[00:44:28] People are talking about that there was a conversation in the house where it was discussed Chuck is not smelling so great. Yeah. Well, at first when I saw the header of Chuck stinks, I thought we were talking about his gameplay, but I did hear the- What the freak? I didn't know he had that register of vocal octave in him.
[00:44:57] That's very animated. He's coming alive. So he can't lose him now. So Chuck stinks. We've talked about hygiene and issues in the Big Brother house before. But this is, to me, this is a little bit of an odd one. I did not have this on my bingo card, that there is talk about Chuck and very specifically that Chuck is talking about his bathroom habits. And it's like, no, no, no, Chuck, it's not your bathroom habits.
[00:45:25] It has to do with your lack of manscaping. So let's go through this one by one here. I was not familiar with- Can I just, also just before you start, that Chuck asks, WTF is manscaping? Shades of Yash asking, what's oral sex? We need Devin to come through and take them step by step. Hey, Chuck.
[00:45:49] Well, sometimes, you know, you ever see out of the lawn? It's when you're talking, Walt. Yeah. The, so, okay. I did not know that this, these two concepts were even tied together. That, that we, you know, a scratch and sniff sort of situation.
[00:46:15] I did not know that this was something that tied to each other, the manscaping and it sort of permeating through the, the air, but I, I'm going to go to bat here for Chuck a little bit. I, this is probably an unpopular position. So I'm going to, you know, like a, a debater, I'm going to choose a side here and, and just play devil's advocate. You know, you only get, we, we talked about this with Yash. You only get the Clippers once a week.
[00:46:43] They got to get passed around. It's, it's on Thursday. It is a little difficult to shave or manscape in the big brother house. You have this frosted shared shower. If you bend down too far, they could see too much. If you lean up too far, they could see too much. There's not a great amount of opportunity for manscaping so much so that a member of the big
[00:47:07] brother eight house decided to forego personal grooming during their time there and, and talked about it quite frequently in the house and grew in something that they affectionately referred to as the owl's nest. And it was a pretty frequent topic of conversation in the house and how to wear your bathing suit.
[00:47:34] Um, yeah, he's a V the owl's nest and, and, and so forth. Um, so I think this is a plight that may have, uh, faced many before him over the last several decades. And, um, perhaps they could have, let's just say maybe they're coming from a nice place, a place of friendship. Maybe they were just trying to let the guy know, Hey, let's, let's clean it up a little bit.
[00:48:02] Like, um, like Sari once said, clean that up a little bit. Right. Right. But I don't know. I'm not sure. I don't know. Should big brother provide more opportunities for, uh, the personal grooming? I think all jokes aside, like we're putting the feeds down for two hours and do what you got to do. And like, so that way you can walk around a little bit more freely and we're going to give you some of the stuff. What if, uh, I mean, I know the, the backyard's not open on Thursday.
[00:48:32] Could we have a day of the week where we open up the backyard and we have some sort of like shower curtain situation where it's like, Hey, whatever. We won't ask any questions. You go in here. Yeah. I think going back to, uh, last week's discussion of the shared communal shower, I think that's a little bit of the, um, a problem here as well is that, um, let's say you do the grooming, right?
[00:48:59] You know, like no one wants to, um, encounter any byproduct of the grooming from anybody else. That is not something I care to be finding in my shower or, and where else are they going to go? The kitchen, you know? Yeah. There's not a lot of options in the big brother house. Yeah. Okay. How about scissors? Do you get scissors in the big brother? You get safety scissors? Well, I think, uh, scissors kind of go hand in hand with, with something I think we're going to talk about shortly.
[00:49:28] Um, you know, I, you get like safety scissors, you know, like third grade, right? Right. That's possible. Okay. Right. They, you know, the wrong handedness potentially. Yes. All right. Eric, uh, it was announced this week that in, uh, two weeks from tonight, big brother's 1000th episode is happening. Uh, here's a tweet from Sharon Tharp, uh, big brother's 1000th episode is set for Thursday, August 27th.
[00:49:54] The 90 minute live episode will feature former house guests chosen by fan votes. The biggest twist of the summer, a look back at 26 years of BB and a live eviction. Boy, we're going to fit a lot into 90 minutes that night. It's going to be a killer episode for sure. And the return of cornbread as well. Yes. Okay. Yeah. So Eric, I, you know, I did not, this sort of like slipped past me. I did not think that like where the, you know, we're voting on the BB time capsule for six weeks.
[00:50:21] I did not realize it was such a tight turnaround in terms of how fast we were voting on things. I did not think that they, um, realized there was such a fast turnaround because they invited the past house guests to come only this week, which is for two weeks from now. Like they could have given us a little bit more advanced notice. I, I am totally, this is such a big brother doing big brother things, um, situation.
[00:50:47] You know, uh, you probably do not recall this, but I recall a time back during big brother 20 that they decided to proclaim it as the 20th anniversary of big brother, which it was not. Um, it was the 20th season of big brother. Uh, it was not 20 years of big brother, but I digress. And they made this big production of inviting all of the past house guests.
[00:51:11] And you had a who's who of the weirdest, most random people showing up people that I wasn't sure we're still out there. And I think it's because these were not the people that are showing up on podcasts or at premier parties. These are the people that have been under a rock. And I think they got the call from big brother and they were like, it's on, it's happening. I, I might, one of us is going to move in. We're going to play. There's going to be a party. Is that why you said it's on?
[00:51:40] I sadly, no, it was a much lower caliber than that of attendees. You stole her signature catchphrase. And they got there and there was no, there was no party. There was no food. There was no, um, edited montage by an intern of their greatest moments. They, they were not shown. I don't even think in the audience of the episode or on stage, they didn't go in the house.
[00:52:08] They took a picture, uh, flew themselves out, paid for their own hotels. And then they went out to dinner themselves and then they all went home and every single person, I mean, I must've gotten a hundred texts that week. Uh, that was not worth it. Um, I don't know why I went to this. So now wouldn't, you know, everyone who has ever been on the show has been invited to attend big brothers, 1000th episode.
[00:52:38] And there's part of me that's saying, Oh wow, I could, I could meet the, the legends people. I've never had the opportunity people from all around the country. This could be amazing, but somewhere in the back of my mind, I'm thinking they're not even going to put out a bowl of chips, you know, forget pay for the flights, forget, forget the hotel room. Yeah. So, uh, it, the whole thing is just feeling so very big brothery.
[00:53:04] I mean, you attended a, uh, a signature survivor moment, but they threw an actual party when they did that. Am I correct? So, uh, which one are you talking about? You're talking about the 10 year anniversary party for survivor. That was an actual party. Uh, that was a big deal. And, uh, that was very exciting. And they, uh, did some various things around survivor 50 where there were, uh, a bit of a get together of sorts for things.
[00:53:33] But, you know, it is hard with, you know, you, there's so many alumni. It's really like you, you could spend a lot of money on it, but it is like, you know, to what end? I think that they should have probably. The problem was with the survivor 10 year anniversary party, people got so wasted at the party. And so that the people can't control themselves either. So it's, it is, it is, you know, that in the past, like there, that CBS did make overtures
[00:54:02] to try to, okay, let's invite all of our alumni. And they came and they showed their ass. And so it's sort of like, they put them in a position of like, why are we doing this? Like, uh, the people get drunk, they're getting into fights. Then they're like, uh, they're like, you like you, like, you don't even know what happened. So it's, it's 93% of the people who have ever been on big brother do not need to be invited back to, uh, the set of big brother.
[00:54:29] So why did they just simply, you see, that's where they made the mistake. Why didn't they just call Brendan and Rachel and Josh and Derek and Nicole and Taylor, like they always do and have them come out on stage and call it a day. Why did we need to send the invitation to Jen DiTerno? I think they just lost it in the mail. What they do, I think they do want like the picture. And the one thing that I remember from the big brother 20 thing was, and I feel like maybe,
[00:54:55] maybe like Lisa Donahue was sort of like the headliner of like the picture that they took in the big brother 20. So I think they do want a picture with like 75, 80 people. And it's like, you know, we love our alumni, but we don't actually want to do anything with them. We would like a picture of all of them, but maybe you could, uh, you know, maybe there are other ways to get that photo without. Well, I remember that like, there was a very high percentage of big brother nine cast members there because they had been persona non grata up to that moment.
[00:55:25] So it was like, oh wow. They still have my contact information. Like this, this is fantastic. I'm coming. And, and to that point, I did receive, um, an invitation to, if I were to attend to this, to, um, stay in an Airbnb with many of the cast of big brother 21. And I thought to myself, this could be the way that I finally get canceled. The pictures come out.
[00:55:53] I'm like sharing a bunk bed with, uh, you know, Jack and Jackson or something like that. It's like, I spent 20 years avoiding these things. And now I go out to the thousandth episode. I stay in the wrong Airbnb and it's over for me. It's dangerous times out there. Yeah. As for the episode itself, I would, I would, I would not have a great deal of faith that they will show me the highlights that I want to see.
[00:56:17] I am certain that the game changing twist will be debilitating at best and disturbing at worst. Let's play a game, Eric. Eric, uh, I, I have found here the photo of the, uh, season 20 reunion. And I would love for you to tell us, okay, how many people can you recognize from the photo? Let's say the over under at how many I can name, uh, 50%. Okay. Hold on.
[00:56:46] Let me, uh, take the old slide down and bring this new slide up. All right, Eric. Uh, let me see if I can zoom in. Let's see. All right. Here we go. I really don't know who some of these people are. I'm not even doing a bit. I, I, I see Christine very much in front and center. Yes. Ashley. Let's go back and forth. Okay. You, let's, let's play a game. Let's name people in this photo that you recognize.
[00:57:16] Um, well, my vision's not great. I see, uh, what appears to be either Bridget or my barber. Yes. I do. I do see, uh, Bridget, uh, all the way on the right. Who's kneeling in front of Bridget? Who's kneeling in front of Bridget? Um, that's such a good question. Uh, it's not, but that's not, I see. Is that even someone who's been on the show? I'm sure. I'm sure. I, I see Erica Landon in the, down in the front. Oh yes. That, okay.
[00:57:46] I think, I think that's, uh, maybe is that Bronte? Is that Julie in the middle? Julie is. I am surprised that she, she lowered herself. Yeah, she did. She did take the picture with everybody. Wow. Yeah. I see. I listen. Look, we, we, we can go on and on and on. I see Josh Martinez. I don't actually think we can go on and on and on. I see Paul is there. Well, this was also the year after Josh and Paul were on. So they, they were like the, the stars, you know, at this time.
[00:58:15] Jason Roy is there. It does seem like a lot more women showed up or, or at least they put the guys all the way in the back of like, uh. I mean, I distinctly remember people showing up to this pact for three months. Like they thought one of them was getting plucked right out of the episode and moving into the house. So. Which did not happen. I see Steve Moses in, in the second row. All right. So, you know, the, the legends were out. Yvonne. Yeah. There you go. All right. Okay.
[00:58:43] Well, maybe I've, I've, I've reconsidered. Maybe I should go. Maybe you should go. Ceiling is very heavy. Big brother, 17, 18, 19. You think if I, uh, if I, could I do a GoFundMe maybe to pay for my flights and hotel? Because I'm not sure. It might be fun. Might be some good stories. I'm not sure if it's, you know, like, uh, you know, $2,500 of fun. Mm-hmm. It's going to be interesting. Okay. Eric, uh, they're asking the fans to vote also on different categories.
[00:59:12] We're voting on the best showmance. We are voting for, uh, different, uh, the best, uh, best winners and also the best to not win. Yeah. All right. Now you're just trying to provoke me and I don't appreciate it. I'd rather you send me into my room than call up these slides. You know that I am in a way about this. Okay. A few things. You want to be nominated for best showmance? Yeah. Well, I was a much better showmance than a lot of these ones.
[00:59:41] This is a misnamed category. These are best couples who are still together. Oh, from big brother. It is not best showmance. I don't see. Is that what they called it? They call it best showmance. Yeah. I, do you see Pauly and Zakiya up here? Do you see Elena and Mark? Um, what was the guy who liked the cereal, uh, Matt and Raven? Do you see them up here? This is not the best showmance. This is people who are still together from big brother.
[01:00:10] So let's, let's get this correct. Um, I, uh, including Roman lyric. I mean, it's been a, it's been a good run. It's been one week since he's been evicted. It's been one week since they evicted lyric. Just, just stay away from James Ryan. You know, just don't want it. Uh, it's, you know, Danny and Dom, I was at their wedding. So I'm, I'm, I'm going to cast my vote, uh, there, but these. You're biased.
[01:00:39] Couples all seem very happy and they're all, uh, excellent, excellent big brother couples. Now the best winner I think would be easier assessed by, um, eliminating the worst winners, which there's so many of, I do not think, uh, especially comparatively the survivor. I think that big brother has some truly atrocious, um, winners. And, you know, I've sort of always been in the camp of like, well, if, if, if you win,
[01:01:09] you know, you did something right. So you, you did a good job. You can't stink at the game and win. But if you actually look at the list of big brother winners, I think several of them were not particularly good at the game. They just won. So, uh, that is an interesting category. I've seen people, you know, campaigning. What do you get if you win? Probably you have to pay for your own flight to, to LA to accept the award. I don't think it's a, and then. Yeah.
[01:01:36] I, I would like that if like some, like really like out of left field person wins best winner and then it's like, okay, now we have to recognize that. Oh yeah. It's, uh, Jackson formerly known as Mickey. That's probably why I'm sharing, sharing the house with him. Okay. There to accept the award. And then the best to never win. And I, I cannot help, but notice that there was, uh, perhaps an omission on this list. Yeah.
[01:02:01] And the only thing I could come up with was that I just didn't fit into any of these categories. I could not appear amongst the best winners. I didn't win. And it wasn't appropriate to put me amongst the best to, uh, never win because I'm just amongst the best period. So, you know, like they didn't want to create the distinction and there was no category for players who didn't win, who are better than the winners, you know? So I guess I just like slipped through the, uh, cracks in that way.
[01:02:27] I, there are plenty of good players on this list. There are, um, some interesting choices as well on the list. Um, and I do feel very slighted by whichever intern put this together. Well, and I think that they, you know, a little, a little insulting. Maybe this is like setting the stage for the mastermind to return with a new grievance. I back.
[01:02:57] I didn't appear on the best to never win list. Yep. Every, every good villain needs an origin story. We thought that I had resolved mine, but here I am again. We need a sequel. Okay. Eric, on Thursday night, we saw our first branded blockbuster for big brother.
[01:03:21] When we had Paw Patrol featuring the dino movie has taken over the BB blockbuster as a parent of youngsters. How into the Paw Patrol universe are you? So, um, only recently have, have my kids, uh, started, uh, dipping their toes into the Paw Patrol world. And, um, so my one-year-old, uh, selected a book off of the bookshelf.
[01:03:50] Uh, we, we went to a bookstore and they, and this is the one that he gravitated towards and he was carrying it around with him. So we said, okay, seven stories from the Paw Patrol. Uh, how, how bad could this be? And we brought it home and, uh, I have a one-year-old and a three-year-old and the stories were quite frightening. Oh, um, they were not, you know, yes. In the end, the Paw Patrol saves the day, but not before there is like vicious injury, um, like a string of, of crime.
[01:04:20] Eric, they are first responders. So I don't know what like Pollyanna world you want to live in where the police and the fire department and the water taxi people aren't involved. But that's the world that the Paw Patrol lives in. This is, this is very true. And they, they are, um, great heroes. But then I found the next day I, I'm playing pretend with, with my daughter and it's like, we're all stuck under the crumbling cave. Get the heavy rock off me.
[01:04:48] And I was like, I don't, I don't know about this game. It was like, oh no, the boat's going down. You know, I, I'm drowning. And it's like, it's, you know, it was, it's a little bit scary out there. And then let's just take it at face value. It's a kid's property. Right? I mean, I've never really thought of big brother as being a family friendly show is big brother, a family friendly show.
[01:05:11] Oh, is that like, should we be promoting PG rated movies, uh, on episodes of big brother while also, you know, talking about, uh, well, actually I guess we're the ones talking about, uh, you know, the hygiene issues and stuff. I don't know who the show is. So I guess it's fine. Okay. All right. Uh, on related. Yeah. Let's talk about a brand new Alliance in the big brother house FAP for the American people.
[01:05:41] They say that, that was an interesting rebrand in the diary room. I do not think I would have agreed, um, to that. I was deeply confused when I started seeing this all over my timeline. I, and I, it was, uh, it was, I'm reading it quickly and I'm like, at first I'm thinking, you know, this is the song that we all know by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. But that, that was one initial over.
[01:06:11] Uh, then I thought, does this have something to do with Fetty Wap? No, it had nothing to do with that. I do remember, I am old enough to remember a dark day on the internet that, uh, you know, was coined the fappening, uh, which was a terrible, disgraceful day on the internet. And, uh, so that came to mind. I also was reminded of a rejected Alliance on, uh, big brother eight that was brought to me.
[01:06:38] Um, I was a very naive, uh, individual Yash like, if you will, I did not know what these things meant. And it was pitched to me that I joined an Alliance called the FUPA Alliance. Um, and I'll let, you know, it was something similar to for the American people, but not exactly. Um, was that the names of the different people that were in the Alliance?
[01:07:02] It was something that was descriptive of, of, of some of the Alliance members per their own, uh, definition. Yeah. And, uh, and self-described. And they asked us to rename that one. Um, they, they tried for the United States people. They tried to turn the U that way, but we, we said, no, that's not it. Um, I gotta say this does happen quite frequently. I had no less than maybe five.
[01:07:31] What happens quite frequently? The re the forced renaming of one's Alliance. I had at least five that were rejected by the diary. Um, and, and I would say with good reason and probably not even for being repeated on this podcast, but there was several, I will say, and this has come up before, but one that I can talk about, we played a competition and it had some sort of rebus puzzle. In fact, now that I'm saying this, I think I told this story about two weeks ago, but I don't remember. So I'm going to tell it again. Sounds new to me.
[01:08:01] Okay. So they, it was some sort of puzzle, you know, like classic concentration, the game show, uh, or like the verbal rebus that you sometimes, uh, you know, do for survival. So it was Jew, a jewel, a jewel, and then the letter E and then it was a hen. And it, so it was Jewel E hen and it was Julie Chen was the answer.
[01:08:26] Um, but, but Jen Johnson buzzed in and she provided the answer of Julie chicken instead of, of Julie Chen, which was just insane. So we thought that she was throwing the competition and she was quite adamant that she was not throwing the competition. And we said, but what do you mean? What is Julie chicken?
[01:08:50] So when myself and Jessica, uh, realigned with the Donato's, um, we named ourselves the little Julie chickens, um, in honor of this moment on the show. And they said to us, no cursing, please. You cannot talk about Julie in this way. Uh, and we, they, I've never been sent out of the diary more swiftly.
[01:09:18] They said, if you reference the little Julie chickens one more time in here, we're ending the session. You're not going to be in the episodes anymore. You are not the little Julie chickens. Try again. We came back to them and we said, okay, they didn't like us being creative. So let's be very literal. And we brought them back the Ken Junados, which was Jessica was from Kansas. That was Ken. And I, I was Jewish. And then Nados was the end of their name. So we said, you don't want the little Julie chickens. So then we'll be the Ken Junados.
[01:09:49] No, stop this right now. And we got in a lot of trouble. I think you're going to go back and say, well, we're the little Julie. Yeah. When we airs in the episode, it's like, they will not call us, um, by an Alliance name. And so then like in all of the opening, it's just like the new Alliance of Eric, Jessica, Dick and Danielle has formed. And it's like, they just, they're like, we're not playing this game with you guys anymore.
[01:10:19] It's over. Wow. It's a real negotiation that happens with these Alliance names. Yeah. Uh, I'm, I'm, I think they would have been better off leaving this one on the cutting room floor than, than renaming it. Um, it is so against the spirit of what it actually is to call it for the American people. It's so, such a ludicrous pandering and idiotic, um, way of replacing what they actually are. I, it's, it's. Yeah.
[01:10:47] You know, they say like, like back in the day on SNL, like to get a sketch on the air, like they would put like, um, like in a, like 10 times more inappropriate words in the sketch of, if we, let's say right penis in the sketch 12 times, cause we really want it twice. You know, let's, let's have it in there. Let's have our opening offer and then they'll negotiate it down to what we actually want. That's how you should approach it. I think that's a pretty solid idea.
[01:11:16] I, I did just think of another one. Yes. Rejected Alliance name. A rejected Alliance name. Yeah. It was actually disqualified twice for two separate reasons. So that's, uh, yeah, that's a story for another time, but this is a pretty frequent happening here. Uh, as for the Alliance itself, um, I think, you know, any Alliance that's not the crossovers, that's not the red corner, that's not the tool shed is going to be a welcome one.
[01:11:44] Uh, people who are having fun or represent even a, the fantasy of opposition or some sort of, uh, changing of the guard is going to be well received. But for this Alliance to mean anything, they need to do something. It's just pretend at this point. We're happy for, we're happy for them. This is just a group of, this is called friends, not an Alliance. Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.
[01:12:13] Um, so sometimes we pretend and we, and we play act. We're on a tour bus. And sometimes we pretend we're on an airplane. Look at us. And sometimes we pretend we're an Alliance that's going to do something. You know, it's all make believe until something happens. Yes. Uh, I, you know, I think it is with good reason to suspect that Melody or Drew are probably in line for the potential power, uh, this week, potentially.
[01:12:43] Uh, I think it could be Kamu. Oh dear. Really? I think so. We'll see. It really just depends on how much is the average person who's watching the show in week five. How much are they still voting for this? Uh, it's, it's a good question.
[01:13:00] I feel like, because I feel like that the online vote is like, um, and maybe it's, and maybe it's coalesced around Melody at this point, but I don't know if there is enough of a, like, uh, enough organization online to direct everybody to be doing the same thing. But they probably are voting much more than the person is like, but they're still doing this. They're still giving the thing away. I think that the thing that Melody has going on is that, you know, she's sort of like the, the avatar for the viewer.
[01:13:28] She's the one who's in there feeling and saying what most of us would be feeling and saying, which is very relatable, but right. She has not had a signature game move per se, other than surviving, but not on her own accord. And, um, she, you know, she's kind of, you know, she's, she's giving Brittany Haynes Jr. Um, but. You know, a lighter, less impactful way. It's like, it's, it's good. It's not, it's not amazing.
[01:13:55] Um, I, I'm now thinking, you know, but this is just like, my brain is broken. I've now just keep thinking about other things they could have gone with for, uh, FAP instead. What do you think? Named friends of Adam Pock. You said that Barrett is like a new Adam Pock. Future Adam Pock. I think that that's actually could be very well where he's headed. And then they can just like cut to him. Like bacon.
[01:14:25] You're like, as Barry, uh, rats on everyone. He has secured his, his third place positioning in the game. Okay. Okay. Uh, Eric, uh, let's see. Oh, Angela almost killed Lala with a knife. Did you catch this? We talked about the scissors earlier. Should she be, um, potentially evicted from the house? I mean, we did famously see, what is that guy who? Justin. Yeah. Uh, Seobick or something like that.
[01:14:55] Yeah. I mean, was he any closer to killing anyone than Angela was? Um, he had a real knife. Angela, but, but, you know, Angela did. He was ready to kill them. Yeah. He like more like hypothetically, uh, where Angela did not have intent, but did actually like get the knife in the air. I would like to get a good look at this knife though, because I know I, I, I lived in a world,
[01:15:20] you know, a post Justin world and our knives were rubber. And this is not. Yeah. It sounds like a real knife. Do you know how hard it is to cut a steak with a rubber knife? It's, it's like, uh, Gallagher trying to break a watermelon that, you know, is a ripe old age without a ripe watermelon. It's not easy. Well, yeah. Well, your house in particular, I think that there was some concern of maybe people harming others in the house.
[01:15:50] So maybe in a normal house, they start them with the, uh, like at least a metal butter knife. I, I, uh, I would not be thrilled if someone threw a knife at me. Um, no. The big brother. It's just, maybe it's just me. Uh, Lala does look very concerned. Yes. Do you think they'll show this moment in the episode or it's too dangerous for them to even show on television? I think they'll show it with like some like clown music under it. Mm-hmm. Okay.
[01:16:19] Just like try and lighten up. Ha ha! Lighten up the music. Someone almost was stabbed in the kitchen. They love showing like whenever there's a house fire and stuff like that. I think they're going to show this. Okay. Uh, that's, that we have, uh, June song has been very vocal this season, uh, talking about Barrett, uh, in big brother 28.
[01:16:44] Any thoughts on your, uh, your latest takes on Barrett who you compared once to, uh, a future Adam Park. I, I compared him to that about 10 seconds ago. Uh, so we brought it back full circle again. Um, uh, yeah, no, I, I don't like what he is doing inside of the house. I'm sure I, I, I really, really do not like the bit on voting nights. I do not find it funny.
[01:17:14] They should have been workshopped amongst his friends prior to coming here. Yes, where he acts like that, oh, he doesn't see Julie there and then she has to call his attention. Yeah. It is, it is not. You don't really get feedback in the real time. It's like, it's actually very brave for him to do that. Like he, that he, the outcomes could be people are loving this so much too, that people are hating him for it. Yeah. He committed to it, which I will give him credit for.
[01:17:42] And he prepared something, which, which is nice. You know, we have, we've had the voters in the past. We've had Haley and her compliments, uh, uh, on season 20. There have been many, a, a DR bit going on. Yeah. This is not one for me. I do not think, you know, the, the super fans, they go in there. Uh, I think we used to get like hardcore gamer super fans. Now we have happy to be there, super fans. And I think that they end up kicking themselves for the rest of time that this is what they
[01:18:12] decided to bring. And I think that a part of it, everyone assumes that it's just, they're just so happy to be here. They're, they're willing to give their game away for the icons. And that is part of it. The other part of it is that they know the way to properly play the game. And that is actually detrimental to making good TV because you don't really want to be in fights and you know that keeping your options open is good.
[01:18:37] And you know that, um, being a huge target is, is going to be detrimental to your game, but it shrinks you down as a character in your efforts to maybe go farther. I also think there's an element of, it's not just like, Hey, I want to make the jury. It's, I want to have this whole experience. I want to prove that I was cut out to be here. And, you know, let's use Adam as an example. He, he came in third place.
[01:19:01] He outlasted almost the entirety of his house in, if you are talking through scenarios, he was one competition away from being in the final two. Um, that's a lot better than most of his allies and the other newbies did on his season. So he always has that feather in his cap, but he was never going to win or able to win. And I don't, I don't see Barrett as ever winning this game. It is interesting to imagine a world in which Barry is sitting next to a vet at the end.
[01:19:30] And does he get, uh, his allies votes and then it starts to become a closer situation. But I do think he's going to be disappointed and he's probably going to be the nicest guy. We're probably a that not either. That could work also. Yeah. She's, um, I, I'm it, you feel badly about it. I'm sure he's going to be on these, these streets with us. I'm sure he's going to be great at, at the parties.
[01:19:55] And, but being a good player and a nice guy are not the same thing now as for June's obsession specifically. Um, I do not like to throw stones when I live in a glass podcast or podcasts. I think I said post cost, but anyway, uh, she needs to stop. She needs to step away from the live feeds and the, the, the Twitter. And I say this at risk of drawing her ire and becoming her, her next target.
[01:20:23] But there are other things going on in the world and in life. And I know that this, we all do this for fun and I know we're all in the weeds on this. She seems a little too far in the weeds. There have been a lot, a lot. Well, I think she's making up for lost time. I think sometimes she doesn't watch the show. So, okay. Sometimes she doesn't watch the show, but then when she does, some years she doesn't watch it, but then she's back. She's back. Yeah. Okay.
[01:20:52] You can relate to that. Sometimes you're like all the way out and then you're all the way in. I know, but you know how, like when you see your own behavior with someone else, it makes you dislike it. Yeah. I think that's what's going on here. I'm like, is this what I'm coming across like? Okay. Okay. And then Eric, let's talk about my latest creative work.
[01:21:17] I dropped the single coming up on Wednesday afternoon, the thog song. This was not a Sasquatch moment. This, when you hit the whiteboard, you knew you were had gold, gold, Rob gold. I say, loved this. As I tweeted out, I had this exact idea in my notes for the episode. Literally said thog song. Is that anything?
[01:21:43] But as we have documented, going back to your previous Yash recreation, I have the idea. I chuckle. I move on with my day. You have the idea. You actually make it. And that's why you are the legend you are. But this is not my first experience with the thog or the thong song, as it were.
[01:22:01] I was hired to try to do some sort of a comedic viral video for like a low level hip hop artist, you know, of sorts at one point. DJ Showtime? So I was, yes, he was in consideration. I was toying around with three different ideas. And it was a comedic short. And one idea was going to be Sisko.
[01:22:28] And he was going to be the judge on a reality show called The Thong Show. And the whole show was just going to be that the contestant comes out. Sisko says, let me see that thong. And then he judges it. And then we move on with it. That was quickly thrown away. So then I went on to my next idea, which was a reality show for Mambo No. 5, in which someone set in the steamy world of Mambo.
[01:22:56] They would date women that only had the names of the women name checked in the song. So it was like a man dating like The Bachelor. But then he had like Rita and Angela. And not this Angela, right? Well, she was not happy to be there. Spoiler alert. That fell through as well. Just another one of your girls, Lou? Then I pitched a ridiculousness type of show with Shaggy, where he would watch a clip where something happens to someone.
[01:23:24] And then he would say, it wasn't me, every single time. All three of these ideas were soundly rejected. The entire project went away. So I was glad to see this back in better form. I greatly enjoyed when this came across my timeline. And I hope this is like your new, is this your new lane here? These videos? Because they've been hidden this summer. I have enjoyed getting to work on it.
[01:23:52] I have been working with, shout out Brandon Donlan. Have a Coke Zero for me. Yes, and so very fun collaborations that, you know, I get to be a little wackier during Big Brother season. Do you think, have you considered just ending the podcast and just making these videos from now on? I have to keep some irons in the fire, just in case, you know, this whole thing goes away. Well, I loved it. All right.
[01:24:19] Let's play a game, Eric, if you are so interested. A game that you created last week. We didn't have time to get to it because Paulie Calafiore was here. It's called My Favorite Martin. You know what's funny? When you first said a game that I created, I was like, that's news to me. Did I create this? And then when you said, oh, it was a week ago, it rang some bells.
[01:24:43] Yes, there's a great joy I take in the RHAP catalog. And once upon a time on one of my favorite shows, Robin Akiva Need a Podcast, there was a little bit of a hullabaloo. You did a King of the Mats tournament, but there was a great debate over whether or not Dave Matthews was in fact a mat. An insane take as presented by Akiva. He's not a mat. Classic Uncle Kivi. Yeah.
[01:25:13] He's a Dave. He's not even a, he's not Dave Mad. He was not Matt. Dave's nothing mad about him, but he was in the King of the Mats bracket. And I also took some loose creative license here to look at some of the great Martins, first and last name through time, and see how they stack up against our current favorite Martin, Thog Martin. Thog Martin. Okay. So this is going to be Thog Martin versus other Martins. Uh, yes.
[01:25:41] And it, there are some pretty heated battles. Okay. So let's, let's see where we come down. All right. Let's, let's take a look. Okay. Slide number one. Okay. We have Haley Thog Martin versus, uh, the, they said that she's living la victim loca, uh, Ricky Martin. Well, isn't this timely because I invented this last week and here we are coming full circle, a shared lyric with your thong song. Oh, don't forget the lyric. Yeah.
[01:26:10] Oh, we're everywhere. Um, I'm sorry. This is, um, it's not a good start to this game, but I am very pro Ricky Martin living la vida loca. That is a banger. I, I have karaoke that, um, you know, many a time. Um, you know, a famous ladies man, as he sang about in the song. Uh, she bangs. Yeah.
[01:26:36] It was, that's, uh, it was that the guy from American Idol. William Hung. Yes. William Hung. I think we actually may have gotten a cameo from him once. Uh, yeah, I am sorry. Uh, I'm on the podcast next week. Brandon, can we book William Hung and see if he's watching big brother? Even if he's not right. I'm going to send a DM. Um, I'll, uh, see if he's around. Well, that's gonna, it's gonna be right up there with Pauly. This is exciting. Um, so I don't, I'm, I'm open to hearing.
[01:27:07] Musical legend. Stump for Haley, but I'm going to be a vote for, uh, Ricky. Okay. All right. All right. So, all right. Haley is down. Oh, one. So it's been a rough week for her. Uh, then we have, uh, Steve Martin and Martin Short. So this is combined. Well, I think that this is very compelling because we have both types of Martins here. We have first name Martin and last name Martin. And they are a dynamic duo.
[01:27:35] I'm, I do enjoy and only murders in the building. Mm-hmm. Uh, they, they're a couple of fun guys who look really good together and are both handsome, but we, I do not date each other. Sure. Yes. That's for sure. Okay. Two, just two of me. We've got to interrogate about that. Yes. Okay. So I would say. I, this is tough. I think they probably, I probably. Yeah. I'm sorry, Eric.
[01:28:03] Uh, I did not hear you. Oh, no problem. I, I would say I'm leaning towards Martin and Martin over thought. I think this is closer, but yeah, I think I'm going to go with Steve and Martin. Okay. All right. Uh, Martin Van Buren. So I cannot say I know too much about Martin Van Buren. Other than it appears that he might have been the first, um, person to sport the skullet possibly. Yeah. It looks like he had something to ram on to back there.
[01:28:34] Um, hmm. Uh, both. You think he has the step-a-zon potentially? Yeah. Yeah. Brad Chipotle. He's going to secure the bag. He is, um, two great Americans right here. This one's very close for me. I'm going to go. I honestly, I'm going to go with Haley. I don't know what Martin Van Buren stood for. I don't know anything about his background. I'm, I think I know more about Haley's background and I may not be comfortable with everything in
[01:29:04] Haley's background, but I think she's more of a known to me than Martin Van Buren. Yeah. I think that that's smart to hedge here. Uh, you know, we, we are not great historians. He might be in the, for the American people Alliance potentially, or the football Alliance for that matter, but I do not know much about, um, his way of life. So I do agree. I, I do not want to plant my flag. Could be more skeletons in the closet on Martin Van Buren. All right. So one, we got one for the thog.
[01:29:33] Okay. We've got, oh, Denise Martin here. Uh, some similarities, I think. I have, um, I have met one of these people. Right. I will not specify which one. They left an interesting impression. Yeah. That's what the word is. Right. I'm going to say, uh, we're back even again. I'm giving this one to thog Martin. Hmm. Yeah. Okay. All right. Haley thog Martin. We, she's got another one. Okay.
[01:30:03] All right. Uh, George R.R. Martin. Hmm. Now, uh, is, is he the Game of Thrones guy? Yes. Or is he the Lord of the Rings? No. Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones. Uh, let's see. Some similarities maybe. Um, hmm.
[01:30:23] Both have worked on putting together a, uh, tale of, uh, heroics of many different sides in an epic battle. I have no personal affinity for Game of Thrones whatsoever. Uh, I am, I'm back on thog full throttle. Yeah. Three to two. She, you know, it was, the game started tough, but she's on the rise. At least she'll finish what she starts, Haley.
[01:30:52] Well, she did try and self-evict to save a Kamu's game. So maybe. Yeah. Okay. Uh, then we have, oh, Martin Mull. Beloved comedian, Martin Mull. Oh. Colonel Mustard. Yes. Please. I'm sorry, Haley. Not today. Not today. Look at that mustache. Uh, I think that's the last, that's the last Martin that we have. Wow. I, uh, what a game. I'm so glad I came up with this. Yeah. This is fantastic.
[01:31:21] Did Martin Lawrence get cut from last week? Uh, yes. Oh yeah. Cause I wanted to say Martin. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. They say I'm going to have to talk to people behind the team. Yeah. Brandon, what happened to Martin Lawrence? Why did he, why did he not make the cut this week? I, uh, I made the executive decision as, as person who put together the game that I thought Denise Martin was funnier, but I didn't know the Martin song. Like I've never seen, I've never seen Martin. Okay.
[01:31:49] So I think if in a world where I knew this song, maybe it would have made it in. Yeah. Okay. Oh, I have some breaking news here on the summer of Stein. I see Mike Bloom is reporting that just within the time that we were recording this podcast, CBS has released even more fan votes, Eric. Favorite Alliance, favorite moment and favorite quote. Um, all right. I know that now we're just trying to agitate me further.
[01:32:18] So I'm excited to dive in on this. I will just say real quick, before we get into this, the reason I really wanted to play the Martin game is because I know it really bothers people when we talk about things that are unrelated to big brother. So I wanted to do that to antagonize the listeners. All right. All right. We have, uh, the favorite Alliance. It is the secret Alliance. You know, Jason, the six finger plan. Is that an Alliance? It's not an Alliance. The four horsemen, of course. The four horsemen?
[01:32:48] We're naming all of the alliances, I guess. A hated Alliance. Yes. The Friendship. Is this a troll? Did Mike make this graphic himself? The Friendship. The Sovereign Six. The Renegades. The Brigade. I can't help but notice, uh, Big Brother 8 is missing from this again. Yeah, where is the new Alliance of the Donatos, Eric, and Jessica? I don't see the Can-Gunatos or the Little Julie Chickens on here.
[01:33:17] The Brigade. The Quack Pack. The Hitmen. Level 6. Is it an Alliance if you just have two people? It seems like Grateful, uh, it seems like they got left off the list. Oh, Grateful. I'm living with them soon. The Cookout. The Leftovers. Uh, and is that it? Do we have no, no, no Alliances after Big Brother 24? I don't even remember who was on 25 or 26. There you go, Eric.
[01:33:46] All right, how do you vote? Uh, I, it's, uh, it's the Cookout for me. That's, it's, uh, in my opinion, the Cookout is easily, far and away, the number one Alliance in Big Brother history. Not even close. They got all six members to the end. That's the object of the game. Okay, Eric, well, let's see what you think is the favorite BB moment. Is it, again, maybe the, maybe it could be a double win for the Six Finger Plan.
[01:34:14] Uh, the Alliance for the Six Finger Plan. The Greatest Alliance and Greatest Moment. Uh, the Twin Twist reveal. So if you're a Big Brother 5 stan, you're, you're loving the list. Uh, what about, uh, Cowboy and Nokomis learn their siblings. So three Big Brother 5 moments nominated for the Greatest Moment. The, uh, yeah, the intern has, has obviously done a recent rewatch on Big Brother 5. Yes.
[01:34:38] Uh, the intern for Big Brother is actually Michael Cowboy Ellis is actually, uh, interning. He's like, look at all of my best moments. Look at all my best moments. Uh, the Big Brother 6 pressure cooker. The Big Brother cruise with Cowboy Mike. Dr. Wills, I hate you all speech. Evil Dick's pots and pans. Dick and Danielle make the final two. Is that the greatest moment in Big Brother history, Eric? We're getting pretty close to a walk off of the podcast.
[01:35:07] Keisha's birthday. My blood is, my blood is boiling. Uh, Jeff uses the coup d'etat. Yeah. The coup d'etat. Dan's funeral. Frankie reveals his sister is Ariana Grande. Was that the greatest moment in Big Brother history? I don't even think that was in the top five moments of his season. What about Derek's undercover cop reveal? Is this serious? Was that even a moment on the show? What the hell are we talking about? Uh, Josh's pots and pans.
[01:35:38] What the hell? Uh, Rockstar's daughter's birthday. How come none of these things have anything to do with the actual game? Taco Tuesday. The cookout makes the final six. You think Nick Macaroni is staying in that Airbnb house? Uh, Taylor's finale speech. He's gonna be packed for 90 days just in case he can go play on the thousandth episode. He's ready. Crazy Eyes Fight. The White Locust. Do you think anybody's ready for the White Locust to be the greatest moment in Big Brother history?
[01:36:08] This ceremony from two weeks ago is one of the greatest moments in the history of the show? The messy, messy B-word nomination ceremony. Oh my God. What's the greatest moment in Big Brother history? I am so upset by this. I, I... What kind of crap is this? Okay. That's just ridiculous. Are these... If this is the best things that have happened in the history of this show, how is it still on the air? Eric, what's the most iconic BB quote? Okay.
[01:36:37] I would say it's probably, uh, has gone down as floaters grab a life. Okay. Floaters grab a life. Okay. Well, maybe it was one of these. Uh, bye-bye B-words, uh, says Janelle. These are better. She said that to you on ChatBCC, I thought, recently. She said that to me many times through the years. Uh, no, I sealed your partner's fate from K-sir. That was good. You know, okay. So that is a real moment.
[01:37:05] Actually, probably a better moment than the moments that they're claiming are moments. But as a fan, that's one, you know, where you had the chills down your spine. Not the chill towns down your spine. Chill town. Because Dr. Will says, I can't find an individual to hate because I hate you all. That's a good quote. Yeah. Solid. Here's Jerry. He's talking about crazy eyes. Uh, he says, you will always be Judas in my house. How did he, was he time traveling and he saw Judas playing Big Brother 17? And that's how he was yelling about this in Big Brother 10?
[01:37:35] I've been misquoting this for years. I thought you will always be Judas to me, I thought is what he said. You know, speaking of misquotes, I recently was sent the celebrity Big Brother Gallagher scene to watch again. And as it so turns out, he does not say what a life we lead in the Big Brother house. He says, what a life you lead. Oh. And it was very upsetting to me.
[01:38:03] You know, it's not good when something is wrong. Are you even getting it wrong all this time? That's like a key part of my personality and I'm not even saying it correctly. Let me see. Um, hmm. Do I have the, do I have the Gallagher? Or, uh, let's see. I don't know. I don't remember where any of these things are. Do you think that's going to be on the list as we scroll down? Maybe. I don't have any celebrity Big Brother moments are included.
[01:38:27] What about, um, either, uh, Fessel is a moron or I'm going to fatten you up, my sweeties. We'll see. Hold on. Here, here, here you go. Come on and get nice and fat, my sweeties. You know, he's actually, he's one of only two Big Brother house guests who have me, um, Blocked? Blocked. And it is because, uh, he returned on a later season and he had grown in his hair.
[01:38:55] And, um, I was on a bit of a June rampage at the time and I was sharing my thoughts on everything and I said his new hairstyle looked like a merkin. Um, and I got blocked. Yeah. Boy, don't say that about Yash. Yeah, it's fair. I probably deserved it. Mm-hmm. Okay. Okay. All right. Uh, back to the quotes, the greatest quotes of all time. Uh, then, uh, oh, Technotronics, one of the greatest quotes of all time. Is that even a quote?
[01:39:22] That's just a misspelling or an imaginary word. Yep. Uh, I lost my dignity on a slippery wiener. Okay. Yeah, all right. Uh, Floaters, you better grab a life vest. Uh, and then also I am Vegas from Rachel, double Rachel. She's going to split the vote here. You got to be careful. Yeah, I think, I think, we could have just rolled with Floaters. Zing! Was that the greatest quote in Big Brother history? No, I did enjoy when, um, he passed out in his suit. Yeah.
[01:39:51] But the zing itself is- So many things, I do think we should have, like, we have Dan's funeral. Okay, now, that's okay, great moment, but I want to welcome you guys all to my Big Brother funeral. We don't need the quote. No. You don't need to have a double nominated. Don't get me, now I'm starting to get- It's giving six-finger plan. Riled up again. But, you know, the man bamboozled Gen City Arroyo. Like, it's not- Yeah. Let's not get carried away about what he did there. Yes. Okay. Uh, from- Well, you Fruit Loop dingus, I bet you didn't see this coming. That's your vote, right? No. Okay. I'm not-
[01:40:21] I'm not a- I'm not a- A rancer. Yes. Okay, Dave Vaughn in Big Brother 17 said, Your S word has hit the fan point blank in the period. Is that even the most famous Dave Vaughn quote? Um, I- What about this is who you lay with? Oh, yeah. Good one. Okay. Uh, Paul said, Friendship. I think this should be a different category of catchphrases than the greatest quote. Yeah, that's more of a-
[01:40:51] Again, a branding play. That's like, uh, you know, pretending not to see Julie. Taylor said, I am not a shield. I am a sword. I am, uh, not a victim. I am a victor. That- This- That was a very big moment in, uh, the show. History. It was such a payoff to such a season-long storyline. What was so interesting about that entire season is that it couldn't have played out the way that it did if it was scripted. It wouldn't have been believable. So the fact that it landed there and she delivered this killer speech at the end, you know,
[01:41:21] that is definitely a big one. Okay. What about Angela? Should she be nominated for best quote for Crazy Eyes? No. She should not. One or the other. Pick up. Is it a lane or is it a moment or is it a quote? Uh, Rachel last season said, I'd be careful coming for the queen. You will get beheaded. Um, I, I wonder, there's one left. What do you think it is? Well, just real quick on that. I really stand Rachel last season and I was so impressed by the player she had become and
[01:41:51] what she did in those circumstances. However, her original lines, they were, they were truer. She was, you know, in the moment while I enjoyed the beheading, you know, she came armed and ready with that line. Yeah. So I, I'm, I'm more of a fan of like the original unpolished, um, quotes, although her gameplay was, uh, you know, top of the line. Okay. And then, and then finally, there's one left.
[01:42:16] I wonder if, if, if, if it's something else from big brother, 27, 28, I wonder, is it, I believe you have a prompt. Could it be that? God, that's not even funny. Uh, let's see. The last one is, I believe you have a prompt. Oh, great. Not even a quote from the, the, the picture's not even from when he said that. I'm, I'm just watching a totally different show than the producers are. I'm having a very different experience.
[01:42:46] This, I don't think you could chalk this up to the producers. I think the, the producers are just as surprised as we are by what made the list. They're like that, that, be sure to include that six finger plan Alliance guys. Okay. All right, Eric, uh, a supersized summer of Stein today. We didn't think we had that much, but then we got the, these, uh, listen, we got to cover everything that's happening. Not only did you not think we didn't have that much, we didn't have that much, but we did it anyway. It came in anyway. Yeah. All right.
[01:43:14] Do you ever yell at people the way that Angela does? Does that, you know, because I'm thinking if I was upset with someone lying to me in the big brother house, I don't think my gut instinct would be to scream at them. So it makes me think, is this for the TV show or is she screaming at people? All day long. Why are people screaming all the time in the big brother house? Yeah. Um, it's not often. It's not often. You don't seem like much of a yeller. Not, I'm not. I think that I have, maybe I have within me.
[01:43:44] I think I, if I have said the same thing, it's not my first impulse. I think if I, I may say the thing, if I have to say the thing that I've said calmly, uh, 19,000 times, uh, it may reach that level. I'm a loud talker. So I often get accused of shouting when I am simply projecting my voice. Yeah. All right, Eric, what's coming up for you? Well, come on. Why do we do this every week?
[01:44:13] I, I, I, and give you an opportunity. Well, maybe I, I, I have to still decide if I'm flying out for the thousandth episode. Okay. Just lock in my accommodations. If, uh, look, if you don't want to go all the way to California, you could just come to RahapCon for our 1000th episode celebration. I, I believe they are, um, going head to head against each other. Counterprogramming, yeah. Is, is that exciting? Does that mean that you're going to get like a really good live show, uh, when you have good people together? I hope so.
[01:44:41] I think it'll be, listen, well, for the fans, they're not invited to the 1000th episode, uh, celebration at the Big Brother house. So this is the place to be for, if you want to celebrate. Right. Maybe you should do your own awards, uh, counterprogramming to the Big Brother awards. Yes. Best moment on a podcast. Uh, that could be, it could be onto something. I don't, I'm not going to do that legwork. Yeah. That's for sure. Yeah. All right. So the great Eric Stein, once again, we thank you for being here.
[01:45:11] Hopefully, uh, you are enjoying the show a little bit more when we come back next week for the summer of Stein. Thanks to everybody who joined us today for the summer of Stein. It should be a really fun recap tonight. Brandon and Rachel, speaking of Rachel, uh, are going to be on the podcast to talk about it. We'll have exit interview with whoever goes home on Friday night. And of course, plenty more Big Brother coverage coming your way for tickets to RehapCon. Go to RehapCon.com. Thank you for joining us. Take care of a good one. Bye. Bye. Bye.
