Morgan Pope Recaps Big Brother 28 Week 2 Eviction
Big Brother 28 faces a crossroads as alliances shift and trust breaks under the surface. Rob Cesternino and Taran Armstrong, joined by Mari Forth and BB27βs Morgan Pope, cover the second eviction night in a live recap, digging into the strategies and social game shaking up the house.
This episode kicks off with the fallout from Romeβs eviction, spotlighting his short-lived but bold gameplay, including his ill-fated campaigning and a showmance with Lyric that leaves lingering questions for her game now that heβs gone. The Toolshed allianceβs stability is in question, with discussions on whether its members might scatter if power changes hands. Meanwhile, alliances like the Crossovers and the Red Corner are under strain as Angela and Dee debate nominating Drew, not realizing he sees their group as his true loyalty. Competition beast Jason wins the Blockbuster, causing others to consider whether letting him stay puts their own games at risk, while Melody and Mallory become possible swing players after the vote. The hosts and guests also compare Lyricβs trajectory now that she is playing solo and discuss the tricky aftermath of a single rogue vote for Rome.
- Morgan points out Romeβs mistake in telling HOH Devens who to save, rather than working with him.
- Mari analyzes how Romeβs exit might actually help his relationship with Lyric, referencing showmances that thrive outside the house.
- Taran explains why the Crossovers still hold Drewβs loyalty, but misreadings by Angela and Dee could set off a storm if they act on their suspicions.
- Recap of Jasonβs comp prowess and messy gameplay, with Mari highlighting his unique energy and entertainment value.
- The group discusses the one pro-Rome vote from Taylor and its potential consequences, including blame possibly shifting to Drew or Lyric.
With the big alliances unstable and Lyric flying under the radar, the next HOH could shake everything up. Will the Toolshed hold, or is a major power shift coming? Tune in for the complete episode recap and all the drama of eviction night.

[00:00:09] What's going on? Rob Cesternino back with you for Eviction Night number two. And we've got a lot to break down tonight here with a great panel. And first, let me bring in a guy who has been watching all of this go down. What's popping, Howie Armstrong?
[00:00:35] Listen, listen, I'm just here with my fellow alphas, you know? We're just dogging up the crib. We're doing a great job here. Shout out to all my fellow alphas. And hey, I won't leave the submissives out. You can be shouted out too. Is that a Brandon Donlan joke? Come on. All right. Excited to break it all down.
[00:01:01] Here with us tonight to drop a lot of elite ball knowledge on us tonight. It's Mari Forth. Mari, how are you? Hey, are we still shouting out celebrities? Yes. Hi, Monet X Change. Shout out to Asia Welch. And just put me on a schedule. I'm sorry I was unavailable for those dates. We have a lot of shout outs to talk about. All right.
[00:01:26] And then we have an incredible guest here with us, of course, that we watched her like a buzzsaw all through Big Brother 27. And she loves talking game. Here she is. It's Morgan Pope. Morgan, how are you? I'm fabulous. I'm so excited to talk with you guys. This is going to be fun. Yes. Morgan, I love how much you can't get enough of talking about this. Yeah. I mean, it's Big Brother. How can you not? Like, I love the game. I had so much fun last season.
[00:01:56] And I don't know. It's weird. I actually get more anxiety watching the blockbusters than I was when I was in my own blockbuster. It was very, it's very weird. But I'm very excited to talk about Big Brother tonight with you guys. Okay, good. Looking forward to breaking it all down here with you live tonight after the eviction. We're getting ready because, Taryn, tomorrow morning we're going to chat it up with Rome. Yeah.
[00:02:20] And, you know, luckily, Rob, you'll have me there to help communicate as a fellow alpha. Yeah. So we're going to do a great job. Yes. So be on the lookout for our exit interview coming up tomorrow with Rome and then live feed update at noon Eastern as we will wait. And, Taryn, is there any chance that tonight could be anything like last Thursday night? You know what? There's a chance.
[00:02:50] Yeah. I mean, there's a lot that could happen tonight from the dissolution of the tool shed because one of them wins power and wants to do something. Or the dissolution of the tool shed because one of them doesn't win power and they scatter. There's a lot that could happen tonight. There could be a precedent. Okay. Let's talk about it all tonight. And I guess we have to start with our headline. Rome is gone. Morgan, I'd love to get your thoughts here on Rome. Could you put it into perspective for us?
[00:03:21] Just Rome in general? Yeah. Rome? Yeah. You know, it's funny. I love to do player rankings. And last week I had him pretty high. Like we were really excited about Rome. And then week two, his entire game tanks. And for me, where I'm just kind of going to critique a little is just the whole lying about him and Lyric breaking up. It's just kind of silly to me because I don't think anybody was actually going to fall for it. But I'll give him, you know, his twos and threes for at least trying to campaign for votes.
[00:03:52] I don't know. To me, Rome is somebody who I think had all the connections. He had the game able to like get somewhere. But like going up to an HOH and saying, here, here's everyone I would like to save. And I think this is good for me. Just didn't really help his game. I think instead he should have just kind of picked. I mean, maybe not picked anyone. I think he should have tried to work with Devin to see who Devin would want to save instead. And kind of work with him instead of like tell him what to do. Yeah. Mari, it's interesting with Rome.
[00:04:22] We kind of we watched his first video. We said this guy is not going to do well, but he did. He went undrafted in the podcaster draft. But I would say it wasn't a flame out for Rome like he wasn't a disaster. Right. No, he went in there and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He's going to be the leader of the betas and submissives. And I mean, good. That's what he did. Right. He was the leader of the quote unquote outcast.
[00:04:49] He was the leader of the side of the house that hadn't solidified against the tool shed. And, you know, he was the figurehead. He was the head of the snake. And so, I mean, he did everything he said he was going to do. He got into a nice little showmance. I would just like to point out that the prophecy has been fulfilled. Rome is gone. So now Rome and Lyric will be like Swaggy and Bailey. I think this is the best thing that could have happened to their relationship.
[00:05:19] Because somebody checked the statistics. But I think showmances that burn really hot, really fast, and one of them goes out soon, they last longer. Look that up. Somebody look that up. Yeah. Boogie and Krista. Uh-huh. Swaggy and Bailey. Danny and Dominic. Huh? Yeah. Jess and Cody, technically. For all the romantics out there. All right. Yeah. Points for me.
[00:05:49] Yeah, Taryn, how do you put this run in perspective for Rome? I think that Rome was basically the best version of him that we could have gotten based on what we saw in the preseason. Yeah. Like, everything he said was pretty much true. So, like, he at least had that going for him.
[00:06:12] Um, and, and, and I do think he comes out of the house and he has a very, like, solid exit interview, um, at least on his side. Uh, and, uh, and can really kind of go out with his head held high. Now, you know, is he going to be the person who is, like, writing Lyric's letter when she wins HOH and, like, on social media, like, retweeting every single clip of Lyric talking about him? Maybe. Go visit her parents.
[00:06:42] Go visit her parents. Go visit her parents. He needs to do that. Propose on finale. Like, all that stuff. Uh, who knows, right? Um, but, uh, but yeah, I mean, I do, I, I agree with Morgan and I, I agree with this, this whole sentiment. Like, I think at the end of the day, you know, his overall presence in the house, he was doing well. He just didn't quite know how to, like, dim that light. And, uh, and going up to Devin's and offering himself up on a platter in the way that he did was, like, going to, like, Sweeney Todd's barbershop. You know what I mean?
[00:07:10] Like, uh, like, what are you doing here? Like, you're really just leaving yourself wide open. When it reopened. When it, when it reopened. Right. Yeah. It seemed like the episode made it seem like that there was a viable path for Rome to stay. Taryn, was that at all possible? Or was this maybe earlier in the week? No, there was never a time when, when Rome had, uh, any shot.
[00:07:37] Um, there was a little bit of talk of maybe Jason could stay over Melody, but even that had fallen pretty flat. This was not, this was one of the least dynamic blockbuster weeks we've seen in a while, I would say. Yeah. Because most of the episode was about not even talking about, which I thought was the more interesting close vote of Jason versus Melody. All we saw was people in the house saying that we, we want Rome to stay. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:08:06] I mean, uh, yeah, go ahead. Yeah. Sorry. The, the episode really did revolve around will Rome when the blockbuster will Rome stay. It was like, they really wanted you to have a interest in the outcome of the blockbuster. Now for us who've been watching the feeds, we already knew like it was do or die for Rome. Um, so I don't think they needed to manufacture the tension as much as they, they did.
[00:08:35] Um, but other than that, I mean, they, yeah, I don't think they could have really cobbled together. Uh, maybe Melody versus Jason type of thing, because I don't know if anybody was, uh, as, uh, convict, like had a conviction for it enough to voice it. If that makes sense. Like, like Taryn said, it was a, it was a done deal. It was Rome. And if not Rome, we'll settle for Jason.
[00:08:59] Morgan, I saw you clocked earlier today, uh, that this is a blockbuster that was done in your season. That Keanu won. Yes. I feel like you would ace this. Oh, that was, listen, as a Virgo who loves to sort and color code. And I mean, you guys saw with my M and M's like, I, that's like my dream blockbuster. I was actually offended that I didn't have that. My, my blockbuster run. Um, I loved it. I mean, Jason absolutely destroyed that competition. It was so great.
[00:09:28] Um, and honestly, I actually had my money on Jason winning because he's just shown to be somebody that shows up to be a competition threat. He knows the game, like, which is why I was like, Oh, I, I really wanted him to like tone back the messiness. Like I'm totally here for it, but like, you don't need to go around telling people the messy things you're doing. Cause then it's going to circle back to you. So I am looking forward to seeing like how he kind of recovers from winning. Cause maybe people look at him as like, Oh, you know, he's going to be a shield. He could protect me.
[00:09:56] Maybe we'll see an alliance form with him in it with more people. I'm curious, but I was proud of him. Yeah. Morgan, based off of just how good Jason is in these competitions, was, is it a mistake to leave him in the house? Honestly? No, I think Rome had more area to build. Oh, I'm sorry. He was not, he was not on the, he was not on the block, but it's. But you're saying if he was. Yeah. Like you're talking about like, if it was like the Jason versus Melody.
[00:10:22] I mean, that was, I didn't want to see that vote, but I also was curious to see what if that would have happened. Because I feel like a lot of people find Jason staying as a shield alongside Rome. Now it's going to be a little different. Cause obviously, I mean, it may not be that different because a lot of people don't trust Melody. A lot of people want to cut off Melody because of Drew. There's like so many factors to the players. And so I think Jason staying, he could end up having a Rome story where people just want to get him out, but he could almost be a shield. I don't know.
[00:10:52] I'm really curious to see. Yeah. Tara, I really felt like that Rome was, they thought Rome is the person that Jason actually is. Um, I, I think they are recognizing that Jason's a big competition threat. They saw how close he was to winning the veto competition. They kind of anticipated that he would win this, the blockbuster. Um, and I think the idea was that Jason's game has been so blown up, uh, that it was exposed to everyone.
[00:11:21] How like needlessly dishonest he was with Angela, that it's going to be tough to trust him. Whereas Rome is still so easily trusted. Like he could kind of come back from this is the idea. Um, I do agree. I think that Jason is probably more dangerous just as a competition threat, because I don't care what your social standing is. If you can win HOH blockbuster HOH, uh, like you're going to get some influence just by the sake of having power.
[00:11:51] Um, and it seems like that might be where Jason is heading. He is doing really well at basically every competition he's competed in so far. And I kind of love that because I kind of love that our potential comp beast of the season is also perhaps the messiest player of the season. I think that's a great combo. Yeah. Mari, I know you have the most backstory on Jason. Uh, is this a part of his lore? Yes.
[00:12:20] Like I think, uh, Taryn and Aman did a great job explaining like the lore of Jason, AKA Selena Estidis. He's on the draft podcast. Um, but I'm glad that we are seeing a different side from him. I think honestly him being called out was probably the best thing to happen for his game. And then now the blockbuster, because now he knows how messy he was moving.
[00:12:44] And now he will, um, think twice about moving as messy that, um, paired with hopefully some comp wins and some comp runs could really, um, solidify his positioning. In the game. And, um, Jason has been a big fan of big brother for the longest time. And so to see him be able to get his chance to be on the show that he loves and do the things that he's doing, I want him to stay as long as possible.
[00:13:14] And I love that his, his shout outs are just like the random, he spoiled drag race, uh, all stars last week. And then this week he's, he's begging for a job from Ryan Murphy, which yes, put him on all of the things, Ryan Murphy, but he is adding, um, such a fun, entertaining level to this season that I really hope he stays around. I, I yelled so hard when he won this blockbuster in my house, everybody looked at him like that was crazy.
[00:13:45] I was just so excited. So, I mean, if, uh, it's just so good to see, uh, fans go in there and, and be able to do with what they're doing. And, uh, he's one of those, he, he played drag race, like big brother, like Taryn said, and the fact that he's getting in there and he's like getting his head in sturdy. And he's not afraid to talk to people, manipulate people, uh, see the layout of the house and try and make big moves. Like I, I can't wait to see more.
[00:14:11] I'd love to get into what I thought ended up being the most interesting part of the episode was that we finally got Taryn, as, uh, you've been alluding to that. The D and Angela are turning on drew segment. And we finally got to see them feeling like they can't trust him. How do you think that this is going to change the narrative? Well, I, I think the first thing to say is that, uh, I, I fully understand.
[00:14:41] And I actually might agree with the way they portrayed this. I think that like, uh, they tried to, to keep this as, as sort of balanced as possible where it makes it seem like Angela and D have a point while still not dunking on, uh, drew and Barrett. The reality is the sort of blurred line here when drew and Barrett are talking about not being into the tool shed, that's because the tool shed to them is supposed to be a fake Alliance.
[00:15:09] The Alliance they are actually very loyal to still, at least at this point in time is the crossovers. And that means they are loyal to D and Angela. And a lot of this, like not trusting drew and Barrett from D and Angela is coming from a place where they're actively reading situations incorrectly. Um, and so there was a world where you could put that in the edit and make them look like fools. But I think correctly, Angela is a fan favorite right now. D is probably another big one.
[00:15:37] Like they're not going to dunk on their stars for no reason. So I actually think this is a very fair way to sort of maintain a balance, but for the record, D or sorry, drew and Barrett are still loyal to the crossovers at this point, which matters in terms of accuracy and where we are in the game, because they do not know and have no intention. Uh, they do not know that they're not being trusted and they have no intention of actually betraying the crossovers themselves.
[00:16:03] Now, where this could impact the game moving forward is that Angela's talked about like nominating drew as early as this week as a pawn as a pawn. Um, but like, they're also like D is talking with Devins about damage control for when not if drew and Barrett blow up the crossovers and the red corner and all of that, which they have again, no intention of doing at this point, but they think that they do.
[00:16:31] And so there's a, quite a big storm coming for all of these people and who wins HOH is really going to matter where that storm hits. Yeah. Morgan, I see you had a big reaction to that. Yeah. I mean, Taryn hit it spot on. It's so interesting. Cause like when you're in the house, the hardest thing to navigate is trust is the person who's telling me what they're telling me being truthful.
[00:16:55] And it's so interesting to see somebody like drew who like, you know, when the crossovers are meeting and he's like, guys, I'm like, this is so amazing. Like you can tell he's so excited to be working with people that he probably watched on TV and wanted to play with or whatever. And they're just like, nah, something's with this guy. Like I don't trust him. And like, granted, he is moving around and he is playing the game, but it's also like, hello, are you guys forgetting the most of the information you guys have is because of drew is because of Barrett. So it's like taking the shot this coming week would be blasphemous.
[00:17:25] It could easily end a lot of their games or prevent them from even winning the game. Sure. They could probably make it to jury, but like, it's, it's something that I wish I could scream to them. It's like nurture those relationships because they also have so much information that they could just blow it up to like, you want to get another round of Devin's HOH piss off drew. And maybe he decides to blow it up to like, which I would be sat for, for real. But like, I don't know. I think in general, you know, Angela does get a little paranoid.
[00:17:53] You know, we do quite a bit. We just a little, just a little. And so I feel like that is obviously bleeding into D. I also feel like, and Rob, you probably have a much better thought to what I'm about to say. Like D played survivor. It's a much shorter game. So I feel like maybe she's getting bored. Maybe she just is like preparing for so much stuff that could be coming when it's like, girl, you got a long time in there, girl. Like slow it down. Take a bit, like nurture relationships and then like slowly plant seeds, but don't water them.
[00:18:21] I feel like planting them is fine, but watering them is where you get it. I don't think it's so much that they're getting bored. I think that, or maybe I guess it's the same thing. I feel like that there's like an impatience of like, like survivor. It's like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Okay. We got to get ready for the next thing. And so, you know, she's wants to like go on to, you know, like a week at a time is a long time. So I guess that in a way that is boredom. Yeah. Just like, she's just like ready to fight for it.
[00:18:51] Like she's ready to go, which I love. I love the tenacity. I love that. But it's also just like direct that towards people who aren't working with you. Like do that over there, you know? So just random thoughts. You know, I thought that some of the diary rooms from Barrett in the episode were interesting, Taryn. We haven't really known where his head has been at as much this week in terms of him having a quieter week.
[00:19:17] But he really told us in the diary room, Al, he's a very like he talked about how in the original crossovers that they brought him in last. And then he also was very keenly aware that they brought him into the new the tool shed. And he was the eighth person in that room. Yeah, I did find this interesting. And this is maybe where there is a bit more gray area.
[00:19:39] Obviously, to this point, most of the suspicion has been entirely on Drew, who has been like very adamant about how much he loves Angela, how into the crossovers he is. There hasn't been much suspicion on on Barrett. And so there hasn't been a lot of like investigation into how Barrett actually feels. Most of the conversation around Barrett, at least from my end, has been about how disengaged he's felt this week.
[00:20:05] And I thought part of that was coming from being a have not maybe a little bit of social battery being drained. Perhaps some of it's coming from an actual dissatisfaction of where he stands in this group. And perhaps there is something to be worried about when it comes to Barrett and the crossovers. Now, he has not talked as much as Drew about how loyal he is to them, but he still hasn't indicated in any significant way that he would plan to go against them.
[00:20:32] I think the main thing here for Drew and Barrett is that they don't love the the the overall tool shed grouping because they don't love the red corners inclusion. And I think they would love for a couple of those red corner members to be sniped out to continue to work with the crossovers. And that's, I think, fair game, right? Like that's what every big alliance has to do is eventually snipe out their teammates, teammates.
[00:21:02] But but I do wonder how much he wants to get out of this situation, how badly he wants to get out of it, what he's willing to do to get out of it. The thing is, unlike Drew, he doesn't have as many options. His relationships with the rest of the house have not been great. He does have one with Mallory, but she doesn't trust him a ton. She's kind of back and forth because he lied about being up in that room initially. And he hasn't been very active about developing those relationships over the last week.
[00:21:31] So an interesting person to watch out for. And his connection to Drew is probably the most dangerous thing about him at this point. Yeah. And for the vets, the icons, it's been an interesting first two weeks because during D's HOH, you know, they had the two alliances. They they had the crossovers. They had the red corner. And it was like, hey, crossovers. Oh, you're the real alliance. Oh, my God. Red corner is so annoying. They didn't really even want to talk to them. And this week it's like flipped where it seems like that they enjoy the company of the red corner more.
[00:22:00] And it's the crossover part of the alliance that's annoying. That's the fake alliance. 100 percent. Yeah. Yeah. And that and and that's the scary thing for Drew and Barrett. And I think the only way that they can sort of like maneuver their positioning within either both the alliances like crossover and a tool shed is there needs to be a power shift.
[00:22:25] Now, I don't know if Drew and Barrett should be the ones to do that power shift. I think if they have a chance to kind of throw an HOH to a melody, a Mallory, a Lyric, a Lala, like honestly, I think they should take it because they're that one of those people can take out the red corner.
[00:22:48] And and maybe I mean, even if an icon goes on the block, they would still be able to keep an icon versus like a red corner member. So if I was Drew or Barrett, I would kind of hope for a power shift this week because say like D wins it again or something like that, then they're just going to have they're just going to get more and more entrenched into that big alliance. And it's just not good for them right now.
[00:23:18] So we saw Drew and Barrett make their final two in the episode and they both are sort of like clocking each other and clocking what they're doing. Mari, do you think that Barrett knows when he calls Drew the Dr. Will? He's actually your Dr. Drew. Does he does he know that Dr. Drew is a real person? I don't think so. I think he did. Drew doesn't know.
[00:23:48] Drew doesn't know. Yeah, yes, there it is. Drew doesn't know. But Barrett, I think, is old enough to know. Because it's not that cool of a nickname if you know who the guy is. I think I think it was just a spur of the moment. Like your Dr. Will, Dr. Dr. Drew. Funny. Yeah. So Mike Bloom had tweeted out that I had forgotten that Dr. Drew Pinsky was a part of Big Brother Season 1. Wait. Wait.
[00:24:14] Yes, there was a Dr. Drew who regularly gave like a psychologist's perspective on the house. Big Brother 1. He was dropped for Big Brother 2. Yeah. Interesting time for Big Brother. Yes. Very different game. A different game. Morgan, what do you think about where Drew and Barrett sit in all of this? Um, I do agree. I think they're kind of in some hot water, but they do. I think Drew just, I mean, Taron hit it on the head.
[00:24:42] Like Drew has a lot more parachutes, as he likes to call them, than Barrett does. I do want to see Drew kind of build that final two with Kamu. I think that's the most interesting. And I feel like he needs to obviously just kind of continue to grow with like Barrett and other people in the house. Um, but yeah, I think Drew and Barrett are going to be in trouble if we do see another, you know, D or even Angela. Like Angela wants desperately to like prove a point to Drew.
[00:25:11] And I'm just like, girl, like if she wants to prove a point to Drew, she's going to blow up the entire alliance on her own doing that. Um, but like when we were talking earlier, like the red corner is getting closer to like Angela and D. And I honestly think it's because we have people like Haley, who is kind of like a game bot. Like when you watch her on the feeds, like she's gaming hard and like Kamu's in it too. And I feel like that's what they were missing from Drew and Barrett is like, they weren't really like gaming hard with them.
[00:25:40] We're like Haley's in it, Kamu's in it. And so it's like at that point, you know, even though it is week three, it's still early when you aren't doing something that other people are doing for you. You start to get lower on the list and you're becoming someone that's easier to take out. Like I'm sure they might even get to a point where maybe they want other people to take out Drew and Barrett for them. I mean, Drew's in hot water, but I think I have faith in him. I have faith in my fellow young game bot.
[00:26:04] Yeah, you were talking this week about could there be enough in the edit potentially for somebody else to end up getting the BB time machine powers? Do you think that there was enough this week for Drew to be seen as somebody who could be that young fan favorite? I do not. I think we got some Drew.
[00:26:28] They're certainly interested in Drew as a protagonist, especially with like a potential budding showmance with Melody. He's got that young Dr. Will aura. They would love for him to become a big character, but I don't think they've built him up enough yet to overcome like a Devons or Dee vote at this point.
[00:26:49] Yeah, I think that the BB vote did come right after the Drew segment in the episode, but probably not enough to overcome either Drew or Devens or Dee. Too many D names. Not to mention Angela's campaign shout out. Yeah, literally. All right. So we'll find out tomorrow and then in the Sunday night episode of what happens there.
[00:27:19] Rome is gone and Lyric remains. And I think that this is going to be fascinating to watch how Lyric moves. Morgan, can you talk a little bit about what you think the prospects are for Morgan for Lyric moving forward? Yeah, honestly, I'm excited to see a Romeless Lyric, as I've been saying to myself. Like, you know, I'm not going to lie to you to keep it straight. Week one, she was kind of like rubbing me the wrong way, talking about how she's ready to leave and she's happy to go home and she wants Rome to stay. I'm like, girl, get in the game.
[00:27:47] Like, you're here for 750K. He'll be there at the very end. I promise you. And so I'm excited to see her without Rome. I think we kind of got to see more of her like when Rome wasn't around, like when she was making these deals and planting little seeds. Like she's doing all the right things. I think now moving into this next week, I think she has a lot of like things to work with. She voted against him. That's a great thing to say, look, I am playing a game for myself. I'm valuable. I'm here to like play along and work with you guys.
[00:28:15] I think she has a lot of, you know, space to work with. And I think we're going to start to see Lyric develop as a player. And I think that's what a lot of people have been like waiting for. You know, I think we're ready for the French fries in the have not room to be done. You guys know what I'm talking about? It's a Love Island reference. Is that allowed? No, we don't. I was expecting it. Yeah. My bad. Anyway, moving on. I'm excited to see a Rome was Lyric. That's it. Okay.
[00:28:45] Yeah, Mari, where are you on Lyric moving forward? Oh, I'm excited to see her play. Like, um, her head can now be fully in the game. She can now because I, um, right after I want to say it was right after she got put up in the whole house had the big blow up. Uh, when Lyric was talking to Mallory in the gym, they're in the gym on the feet. Like Mallory was really like, Mallory, look at me.
[00:29:14] Lyric was really like, you know. So I can't change. There's some stuff that I can't change, but I got, I'm going to focus. I'm going to get this veto. And, you know, she was really strategizing. So I think when she's actually focused on the game, she has a pretty good like head on her shoulders. So I'm, I'm interested to, to actually see what she plays like now people calling her like Lyric Irwin, like y'all chill. Cause I don't know if y'all like Allison is just a mastermind.
[00:29:44] So like, like let's chill for a second. Let's let her prove herself, you know, but that comparison, you don't want to set her up for failure. You don't want to set her up for failure with that comparison, but she's doing, I think she's going to do good. I think she's going to go very far without that, that target on her back. Taryn, Lyric on the rise. I, I hope so.
[00:30:07] I think she showed some real promise this week in the way that she managed to convince, uh, Devin's and D and all of these people to take her off the block. Uh, the way that she managed to completely trick Chuck into like really feeling like he was doing something there.
[00:30:25] Uh, she's got Yash believing that like she to this day still has people like Yash, Chuck, Devin's D all believing that they've kind of got her and they don't, they really don't. Uh, and they all think she's completely incapable of doing exactly what she's doing. And so I'm very interested to see where she moves from here. Who is her true alliance now? Is it Melody and Mallory?
[00:30:51] I would say it's Malady, Malady, Mallory much more than Melody. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I think she's with Melody, Mallory. Uh, she's with, she's as Morgan just said with Jason. Um, she did work with him on the vote here. Um, and that's probably the main, the main crew for her. Uh, Melody sort of on the side.
[00:31:16] I think she'll connect more with Drew again now that she's not, uh, you know, having to be on the other side of a campaign from him. So, uh, and then, you know, she'll maintain those connections that she has. I'm, I'm curious to see where she goes from here. And she's nobody's target moving forward. And she ends up casting a vote for Rome. But interestingly, that the one vote, the first vote we got to vote to evict Melody was from Taylor.
[00:31:43] And I'm curious if any of you all know, uh, have any insight into this. Was this a hinky vote? Was this that Taylor was still mixed up on what everybody else was doing with the vote? Do we know? And I, I don't know. I think she was sitting on business. I don't think she, I think she really liked Rome. I think she's the kind of player that's like, I'm going to do what I want to do. I don't care what anyone else is doing.
[00:32:09] And I think she connected much more with Rome because you would hear her tell like Lala and, you know, Jason, like we, we need Rome in here. We need Rome. So I think she was hoping that people, I mean, maybe, I don't even think she was hoping. I think she just wanted to go in there and be like, yeah, bye Melody. You can go. You know what I mean? Yeah. She also looked great in yellow, by the way. Yes. I gotta say that. Did she have beef with Melody or was this only a pro-Rome vote? I think it was a pro-Rome. In my opinion, I think it was pro-Rome.
[00:32:36] I don't think she's like anti-Melody by any means, but like Rome was good for her game. So I think she was hoping that in case people decided to vote. But I mean, I don't know because everyone was kind of set on Rome going. I think so. Yeah. Taylor was getting a little more active yesterday, trying to pitch for Jason to stay over Melody. Again, not anti-Melody, but certainly pro-Jason and Rome if possible. But Rome didn't seem possible. And I think she knew that. Yeah.
[00:33:04] Is there any chance that there is a hinky vote at play here? I would be kind of surprised at that. I mean, you blame it on Lyric? Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, you blame it on Jason? Does anybody care? Will Melody care? I guess it'll be, will Melody care? If Melody goes around the house asking, you know, trying to figure out who voted for her
[00:33:32] and it turned into a thing, then maybe it'll be a thing. But I would always say don't do that. Don't make something bigger than it is. But she might. I mean, I actually think that it'll matter more for like Dee and Angela and Devins, who may be inclined to blame Drew or Barrett if Taylor does not own up to the vote. This was a topic of discussion specifically for them.
[00:33:58] This was a test for Drew and Barrett to hope that they would not cast rogue votes like this. So if Taylor does not admit to it, there's a high chance that they will be blamed in some capacity from them. Is it possible, though, that Lyric ends up getting this blowback? I don't know why she would lie about it if she says that she didn't do it. But would they still accuse Lyric? It seems like they're the most obvious person to have cast the vote for Rome to stay.
[00:34:26] Yeah, we saw her in the episode already denying it. Angela already saying she believes her. I don't think there's any serious reason to suspect that Lyric is like lying because why would she bother? You usually don't suspect that person. And there's not a lot of reason to blame her either. It's more useful to blame somebody else. And on top of all of that, again, none of them thinks she's capable of moves like that.
[00:34:54] So I really think Lyric will get away fine. Yeah. Yeah, I was going to say that too. Because when she was talking to Devins, Devins, like when she left, he literally was like, I really trust Lyric. Like there's something about her that's very trustworthy. So I honestly feel like they're like, okay, she's telling the truth. I don't think that they would suspect that it's her. Okay. Yeah. The baby voice is working. It's working. I really think that Lyric has a lot of upside in the game. I really, I think that she has a chance to be like,
[00:35:23] and maybe I'm biased because I have her in the draft, but I really think that she, I think she has a superstar potential. I'm very bullish on Lyric. I think she has potential. I think especially without Rome. That's what I'm excited about. Like Rome gone. I think Mari said it perfectly. She is going to probably put her head more into the game and actually focus. She might, you know, play the field and do her thing because she's been great at that this past week. So yeah, we'll see. Yeah. All right.
[00:35:51] I want to talk about some of the votes and everything from, we had our eviction and, you know, in these lopsided votes, we have to look for something. And we've talked about it a little bit, but we got some interesting votes here tonight. Jason ended up voting as Mari mentioned, and he had this. For my game, I sadly vote to evict Rome. Thank you. Thank you, Julie. Ryan Murphy,
[00:36:20] cast me. I'm sorry. I wasn't available for those dates. And Mari, this is on the heels of last, last week when Rick Devens was shouting out James Gunn. Yeah. It's like, I mean, if you're going to do shout out to the big brother house, use it to advance your acting career. I mean, the code has been broken. Mm hmm. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So then we went to Yash and it was his turn to shout out a celebrity.
[00:36:51] Hello, Hey, Julie, please cast your vote to evict. I very sadly vote to evict Rome. Thank you. Shout out mom, dad, and DJ Khaled. We the best. Big DJ Khaled fan. Apparently. Yeah. The DJ Khaled that that's who he's. Yasha shutting out. As opposed to which one. I don't know.
[00:37:21] I haven't heard a lot about DJ Khaled lately. This is a guy who is like talking about Bitcoin. Like, you know, like I feel like he's a little beyond the dimes. Yeah. Morgan, did you shout out any celebrities? No, I just remember the one thing that I remember that was the very first time I won something. I said, mom, dad, I finally won something. Like, it was like the only thing I can remember. Like, you honestly kind of black out in there because you're literally just looking at a camera. You don't see Julie. Yeah.
[00:37:51] You just vote and go. After you won something, though, all you did was win, win, win. Yeah. For a while. I didn't take you falling face first off of a wall that you were talking about for 17 years. You know, it's fine. I'll take it. Yeah. Okay. But then the biggest celebrity of the night ended up getting a shout out when D went into the DR. I vote to evict Rome. Thank you. Thank Julie. Shout out Brandon Donlan.
[00:38:21] Drink a Coke Zero for me. Love you. Wow. A shout out to Brandon Donlan. And we can't do anything about DJ Khalid or Ryan Murphy, but we do have Brandon Donlan standing by. And we have great celebrity outreach. Yes. Brandon Donlan. Yeah. The Coke Zero. The Coke Zero. That's iconic. Yes. Can I say something? Yes.
[00:38:51] Nobody gassed up mediocrity more tonight than D Valideris. And for that, I cheers to you, D Valideris. Yes. But yosh, yosh. They do. And D couldn't vote last week, so this was the first opportunity D had to shout out, and she went to you. First and only shout out. I don't know why. I'm thrilled about it. I'm 0 for 2 right now when the Ryan Murphy and DJ Khalid DMs, but it's early. I only DMed about a half hour ago.
[00:39:19] The group chat is wild. Yeah. Is she trying to get an invite to, like a Brandon Donlan produced television show? Do you have something to announce? Everything that D's ever been invited to, I've also gotten to go to. So it's not really the other way around. There's not a lot of things that I'm, unless it's this, there's not a lot of things that I get the invite to that D does not. Yes. What a night. What a night. What a night. Yes. Brandon,
[00:39:49] you also were recently retweeted by the Big Brother Twitter account when you had posted that you were the person who told D to talk to the cameras. You know what? I will say, and not to be a moche, I, and I love that Survivor happened. Morgan, you got to watch the Survivor. It went so horrible for your boy. But I famously, a couple of years before that, I almost did Big Brother and it didn't work out. And I go back and forth in my head of like, what that would have been like.
[00:40:19] But like, I can't believe that I get to be, like, this is so crazy. Like, it's like, I have no complaints about anything. It's like, everything, it is so cool to be able to live this exact life. I wouldn't change anything. So, I'm thrilled. I got nothing to say. I'm thrilled. Do you think a Coke Zero endorsement could be in the works? I've been trying. They don't want me. They might want D. I know who's running D's account. Well, now you have something for your reel. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Listen, I am going to pose with it like this,
[00:40:48] just in case they're watching. I didn't think of that beforehand. I've sent them many DMs. I wanted to have a Coke Zero themed birthday party a couple years ago. No answer from the corporate account. These got a lot more followers than I do. So, could happen. Brandon, check, check your Google alerts. Something tells me that the name Brandon Donlan being Googled, it probably peaked. I can see those Facebook aunties like, Google? Google trends. It's so funny. Yeah, you know what? Not for anything.
[00:41:17] Shout out Brandon is good, but shout out the whole government name is, I think, a little bit better. I do like that. Yeah. It's the best I've ever looked on TV. I'm thrilled about it. Everybody. I was watching my family, and my son Dominic said, not the Brandon Donlan shout out. What did I do? Listen, it's so funny. Yeah. I, I literally, I couldn't have more fun. This is so crazy. It's so, it's so unbelievable.
[00:41:45] Anything else about tonight's episode that you want to mention? I'm all in on Lyric. I want Lyric, I want Lyric to catapult on the, on the season. I think this is the best thing for her game. I'm so excited to see what she does. I'm hoping for a Lyric H-O-H. Okay. All right. Hold on. Genuinely. Oh, wait, we could have cropped at the, the spike. No? Yeah. We had to show the plateau for the year? Yes. Wow.
[00:42:15] How many, how many mentions tonight? Is that, how many searches is that Taryn? A hundred? A hundred. Wow. Nice. And then a few more. I got to go buy Bitcoin. I got to go look at what Yash was buying before he left. Yeah. I'm feeling lucky tonight. Secure the bag. Okay. All right. I love you all. Thanks Brandon. Okay. All right. Bye. All right. Uh, what a fun night. Amazing. All right. So those were the shout outs, but then, uh,
[00:42:44] we had one other unusual, uh, shout out in the diary room when Drew ended up entering and said this. What's popping honeymoon, Bez? Oh my goodness. Behave now. Behave. Oh, it's too, it's too good. I love it. What's happening? Honey moon vests. What? Listen, he's been dying to get on the show.
[00:43:14] He, just like he had that, the, the tool shed in his back pocket. I'm sure he's been dying to tell Julie that. Hmm. Yeah. She, I don't think she liked it because when Kamu went to go vote, he called her like, hello, like, he's like, good evening, Mrs. uh, uh, Chen moon vest. She's like, Oh, somebody with respect. I like that. Yeah. I mean like drew is also like what? 20, 21, 22, you know, I feel like she just was not expecting that. What's popping honeymoon.
[00:43:44] She prefers auntie Julie. Julie. I think please auntie Julie or a sister from another mister. She really, she really does seem to like that. Yeah. I would agree. Yeah. Uh, Morgan, what did you call Julie in the diary room? I just said, hi, miss Julie. Yeah. Yeah. Just hi, miss Julie. That's it. Or hi, Julie. It was just like one of the things just always, always Julie, even though I wish we could see her in there, but yeah. Tara,
[00:44:12] I feel like that this was the first time that I feel like that a contestant pushed it too far. Beyond what Julie is comfortable with. This is the first time. I, I don't know. I can't think of another person where she's like, no, I don't think so. Like actively shot people down before. I'm pretty sure. I'm trying to remember who. Yeah, maybe, maybe. I just feel like that this is like, cause I feel like that she's usually a yes. And, but this one, I really felt like she was like, no, I don't like it.
[00:44:41] I don't like it. Angela's right about you. I miss the Hey, the Hey Julie girl days, you know, I think that's where it started. Yeah. Okay. Morgan, did you think anything of the speech that Rome or Melody gave? Um, honestly, I mean, I feel like Rome was cooked regardless. Cause here's the thing is like when he was campaigning and he's like, guys, like, you know, he had the guys meeting or whatever. He's like, I can be a shield.
[00:45:09] And then doesn't follow up with what is good about having a shield. Just said, guys, I can be a shield. Then he goes on the other side with the girls. Like I can be a shield. And he didn't really like explain what is good about being a shield, what he can do. I don't think his speech was very effective by any means. I think by then he was already gone. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If he had properly studied the show, he would have known to not say that he was a shield, but to say, I am not a shield. I'm a sword. That works really well. Yeah.
[00:45:39] Exactly. Rome, not the big brother historian. So he ends up after he gets voted out 12 to one, he ends up, he loves all of you, but he just wants to have his moment with Lyric. And he says to in front of everybody, Lyric, I'm in love with you. I don't care who knows it. Taryn, did he blow up a Lyric spot at all that the fake breakup was all a ruse? So it was out.
[00:46:08] People knew that it was a ruse. However, I do think that with him gone and the fact that she voted him out and people are likely to believe that I do think that she could have gotten away with like maybe his interpretation of the relationship was slightly different than her interpretation of the relationship. It's a lot harder to do that now. Public announcement.
[00:46:35] It genuinely could impact her relationship with people like Chuck. Probably not a huge thing, but it definitely wasn't like actively good for her game. Yeah. Do you see Chuck's face? Chuck was. No. Pissed. Oh, no. Yeah. He just was kind of like, like he was just definitely shook, but I, I agree with you, Taryn. I feel like it's going to be interesting because I do feel like him, I don't, I think a lot of people knew it was fake. Like people did talk about like, oh, she's probably playing the game, but we don't really care.
[00:47:05] But since he did say that it could be potentially where, especially with Chuck, Chuck is probably going to have a very interesting conversation with her. Kind of like, oh, so. Okay. We'll see. It's one thing to like hear it's fake. Like, oh yeah, I've, I've heard it's fake. Like, oh, what really? It's another thing to have it like thrown in your face. Like, oh yeah. I have faith in Lyric. She'll, she'll clean it up. He, he essentially like kind of like pissed on her on the way out. You know, he's like, I gotta mark my territory.
[00:47:35] Like, did he not? That reference is hilarious. That reference is hilarious. Cause he's a dog. Okay. Maybe I shouldn't have put it that way, but he definitely, he definitely tried to mark his territory. I thought we were done with the French fries. We're not, we're not done. Like, she's savvy enough to get around it. Okay. Here's, Sam has pulled a, uh, Chuck reaction. Did you see? Ooh.
[00:48:05] Man's was like, arms are crossed. Yeah. It doesn't look happy. Everything's tight. Yeah. The audacity. Yeah. His eyes are piercing. What is that? What now? He's like, Oh, that's nice. Right. Yeah. We had a lot of time for an interview with Rome and still an interview with Ross Matthews. We really like, uh, last week's episode,
[00:48:34] the pacing was like, we had like five seconds with Ashley and we had to go, but we had a long segment with Rome. We had goodbye messages. So I don't know. I feel like this episode was coming in a little light in terms of, uh, how much time we had. So, um, Taryn Rome really tried to spin. In this, that an icon like Rick Devin's was worried about him. The biggest compliment he could get. You know what? People say this a lot. And usually it's kind of bluster. Cause like, that's not you. Like,
[00:49:03] usually it'll be like, you know, some random person that got sniped as a side target. Who's like, well, they knew they needed to get me out. And it's like, Oh, that wasn't actually, but Rome, this actually is what happened to Rome. Like they all saw him as such a big target that they went out of their way. Devin's in particular, who did have a good relationship, went out of his way to take him out just because of how threatening he felt in the game. So I actually do think it's fair. And, and he also didn't even do it.
[00:49:31] I thought like in a particularly, uh, like, like he did. So with like respect to Devin's, which I thought was another key part of what made this feel. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. They'll get along, uh, after the show is over. We got to, uh, you know, ask his feelings on Rick Devin's a couple of different ways. He loves Rick Devin's. Um, Julie asked him, who was the one vote to keep you? And he struggled, uh, with that. Uh, he said, lyric. Nope. Jason.
[00:50:01] No, he was like, I've got one good guess. That was him turning around after finishing the comp, but it actually fell. Yeah. Yeah. And then ultimately, uh, it was Taylor. He said, well, she was always loyal. And then Julie's like, but could it have been strategy? Are you sure she actually likes you? Maury, are you surprised that Julie didn't do her favorite thing of actually, do you know who was in the Alliance that was running the house?
[00:50:32] Right. Yeah. Is it too obvious? Is it too, is it too much? I don't know. Cause they have plenty of time. So if they wanted to, I think they could have, but I know a lot of people have been speculating like, Oh, maybe there's going to be a buyback because they're referencing things from other seasons. Ashley's on the outside though. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, she is. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, I, I don't know why she didn't. She normally loves to throw the faces, the new screen in the board. I don't know why. She had something else planned.
[00:51:03] A certain song, a certain singer. A marriage request invitation. Okay. So we know Julie loves love. Okay. You talked about marriage. Julie, she invited to the wedding and then, and then she says, well, okay. And I know that what the song is going to be never going to let you go. And then I guess somebody in the, in her ear was like, that's not the name of the song. That's not a song. Her dad has one song.
[00:51:33] That's not it. Nothing's going to change my love for you. I couldn't tell if she thought that she, like this was going to like be a big reveal. And then Rome was like, yeah. Yeah, I know. Yeah. That, that'll be great. And it just, and not only that, but then she got the name right. Oh man, this was, this was peak. This was peak Julie. I love this.
[00:52:00] It was very weird because even if she said his whole name and, and Rome hadn't talked to Lyric, I still would have been like, who? Lyric's dad was an eighties hard job. Okay. Sure. Thanks. Yeah. What's never going to let you go. Maybe she was thinking of never going to give you up. Never going to give you up. Yes.
[00:52:27] I thought you certainly got Rick rolled by the HOA. The funniest on it. One of the funniest parts to me too, is that because I'm pretty sure this whole thing was a bit, but because it was a bit, she comes in so hot and serious with like, so you two talked about marriage in the house. He's like, what? No, I mean, I mean, yes. I mean, and she's like, um, did you not talk about marriage? Cause if, and it feels like she's being auntie Julie, like, uh,
[00:52:57] Hey, don't you, if you, this marriage is a serious thing. Okay. Don't be talking about marriage unless you mean about marriage. I love it. Uh, cause I love love. Um, but then it was like, Oh, she's doing a bit, but he was so nervous. It was very funny. Yeah. And then it made it seem like that he wasn't serious. No, no, no, no. I meant it. I meant, I meant what I said. Uh, but we got goodbye messages. We did not get goodbye messages for Ashley. We got a goodbye message from Rick,
[00:53:26] from Jason and Angela reveals. She had something to do with this shocker. Listen, if you are an alpha in the house in the early, in the first couple of weeks and you see Angela there, you'd better hide. Cause she's coming for you. She's coming for you. Yep. She hits, but also, she doesn't miss. She tripped over her joke. She tripped over. She's like,
[00:53:56] I, I was the reason why Rome, the empire exploded. Imploded. Yeah. I was like, you were so close, Angela. You were so close. Morgan, they don't let you do a retake on that. Um, you, you can, you can request to say like, redo your goodbye message. Like I had requested to redo, uh, Keanu's. Um, that was one that I remember specifically asking, but, um, yeah, you would have to like go in. And sometimes,
[00:54:26] if like they're busy doing other stuff, it's like, they just take the one that you, that you did. Yeah. What? Could you just be like, Hey, can I start over? Can I get that again? Oh yeah. Yeah. So basically they just sit there and they're like, yeah, give us what you got. And like, when you feel good about it, then let us know. Like, I mean, there was one, there was quite a few house guests I can think about where I was like, I'm gonna need some time. I'm gonna come back, you know? And then I would come back. But yeah, that's pretty much how it works. Yeah. And you still have to do one for the person that like, you know, isn't going to go home. Yeah. You have to do one for everybody on the block. So like when I was on the block with, let's see,
[00:54:55] I was with Mickey and Riley, uh, Vince before the veto was used, or I guess after the veto was used, then Riley was there. Yeah. So anybody that you're sitting next to, even if you know that they're going, you have to do a goodbye message for them. Mm hmm. Yeah. Which is so odd, but like you have to just in case, because listen, waffle Wednesday happens, waffle, whatever happens. Yeah. What day do you record the goodbye message? Um, it's so bizarre because you record it. Um, I think it's like the day before. So you're still, you're saying goodbye to people and you come out.
[00:55:25] Sometimes you're crying. Sometimes you're happy. And then it's like, you still have to live with them. Yeah. I remember sometimes I'd come out and then like some house guests would be like, did you say something nice about me? I'm like, yes. In the meantime, I'm like, no, you know what I mean? That's, but yeah, you have to live with them, which is so awkward, but it's, it's how you have to do it. Except to prepare for the episode. Say goodbye because we had a special guest. That's going to be on big brother. Unlocked Ross Matthews was here. The,
[00:55:54] not the winner of a celebrity, big brother, but Julie says maybe the person that should have won celebrity, big brother. Marissa. He always throws shade at her. Hmm. I guess so. Yeah. And you know what? If you sort of like, if I didn't really think about it, you asked me who won the first celebrity, big brother, I probably would say Ross Matthews. Well, that's because that's because every time they talk about it, they talk. Okay. All right.
[00:56:23] But they brought in Ross Matthews. And so Mara, this was an especially interesting booking considering who's in the house. Right. Yes. Okay. So Ross Matthews, Ross Matthews is probably Selena STD's, AKA Jason's real op. Uh, his original, his original reality TV op. Uh, after Jason was on his first season of drag race,
[00:56:53] he is, um, he's doing a gig at Selena STD's and at the gig, I guess somebody asked him about Ross, uh, at the gig, but on the show, Ross was very, very hard on Selena's, uh, drag. Um, and so Selena is recorded at her club telling Ross Matthews to, um, bite her buttocks. Okay. And then a slur.
[00:57:22] And then there's a whole like minute of a video of, of her, of Selena cussing Ross out. It might be something you can talk about on the slap, Rob, if you can find an edited version of the rant, but the rant is like God tier, just Selena going in on Ross Matthews so much. So that everybody was like, Oh my God, Selena just went on, went in on Ross. It was all over the place. And they're like, man,
[00:57:51] Selena will never come back for an all stars. And then, you know what? Two, three years later, Selena comes back on all stars. And, um, she, she does a pretty good job on all stars. She doesn't make it to the second round, but, um, Selena, from what I understand, this altercation with Ross may have put her in a situation where like her and the producers might, um, you know, she, they might, she,
[00:58:21] Selena might rub producers the wrong way. So I'm, I'm wondering how she's faring with the big brother producers this time around. But all of that to say, I would love to see if Ross, like, if they ask Ross something about Jason on unlock, that'll be one reason I will be watching unlock tomorrow. That's for sure. Yeah. Do you think that Ross Matthews is coming on unlock to drag Jason?
[00:58:50] Could be. I mean, Jason's game has been very messy. We've said it here. It is a far from a perfect game. So, uh, Ross, Ross's job is to judge, right? He, he is a judge on drag race. Um, he was a, a, like a panel judge on drag, drag, drag race for, uh, multiple seasons. So I, he would be well within his right to come on there and drag, drag Jason's game. I mean, with this context,
[00:59:16] like we can't forget that there was a very real chance that Jason was the one evicted tonight. Like that is a good, I wonder if Ross like volunteered. I wonder if Ross. I'm so messy. Wait, that's such a good point, Taryn. The world where Rome wins this blockbuster, he gets to go on stage right after Jason's exit interview. Like walking past, like backstage. Imagine. Well, I think that Taryn in the past,
[00:59:44] they've had the evicted house guests on unlocked. Right. He would have been, he would have been there. Also would have been part of that. Oh, wow. That would have. Messy, messy, messy, messy, messy. Mm. Okay. But we would have all enjoyed it. All right. We'll see how messy it gets on. Big brother unlocked. All right. Anything else from the episode proper that we want to touch on? I will say in general, like I, I actually, I,
[01:00:14] I, I'm enjoy, especially enjoying unlocked this season so far. I'm excited to have all the powers revealed to us and stuff. I think that's a valuable thing to have on unlocked. But almost, especially because we have unlocked, I, I extra don't need a random interview with a person at the end of the eviction episode. It's going to be on there. Yes. When we're going to hear their thoughts on unlocked anyway. And this is already such a crammed episode. Like this just did not feel like the place for it for me. Yeah. Okay. Uh, well, Taryn, is there,
[01:00:43] is there anything worth talking about from, uh, that I understand the feeds have come back? Uh, not quite. I, they have not played the HOH yet. So I, I expect this is going to be a late night. Uh, cause we're getting the feeds back already. Well, um, we're so, uh, blessed to have Morgan here with us. I'd love to get more of your thoughts on just the season at large. Morgan, is it, is there anybody else from the cast that you've had some insights on that we haven't talked about? Yeah.
[01:01:12] It's so funny being like an outgoing player watching as an outgoing player. Like I watched as a pre player. Now I'm a post player and it's so bizarre because it's like week one, I was like wanting to jump through my screen to go play. I still want to play. Like if they called me right now, I'm answering the phone and I'm saying, yes, my bags are already packed actually. Um, but it's so interesting watching people the way you guys watched me. It's kind of really bizarre. Um, especially through the live feeds and stuff.
[01:01:41] It's been such a, like a pleasure to like get back into them. Um, my winner pick initially was Barrett. And I feel like with Barrett, I, I was actually kind of shocked that he wasn't connecting as much as I thought, but he did share that he's introverted. So I, I think for him, like, you know, he's still kind of playing a slower game. So I, I don't think this is just how he's going to be. I just think he's kind of playing a little bit on the backseat to like kind of see everything. Um, but I don't know overall this, this season has, it's been exciting to watch. Like,
[01:02:09] I think it's been an eventful two weeks. I don't know what it was like watching my season. I know we didn't have a unanimous vote, um, in the first week. So I, I kind of understood from like, you know, the platforms of how much people hate a unanimous vote, you know? Um, but it's been exciting. I've, I've really been enjoying seeing everyone kind of scramble week one and two. And I'm, I think what I'm really looking forward to is seeing if there is going to be any real alliance that's going to form like later, kind of how like the judges formed, like right when the jury started, like I was,
[01:02:39] we didn't really have what I'm watching here. So it's just exciting to see something different that feels different than my experience. Yeah. It does feel like that the returning vets have helped, uh, accelerate there being a bigger alliance earlier, certainly than, uh, just Rachel on her own as a returning player. And really, uh, Rachel wasn't received in the same way that, uh,
[01:03:06] the returning vets are in this season because it was only her. Yeah. I was probably one of the only people that was like willing to like wanting to work with her. I remember when she first came down, I, I didn't watch her season, but of course we know who she is, especially from floaters, grab a life vest. That was like what she said when she coming, coming down. I was like, Oh, I know who this is. And I remember, you know, hearing house guests be like, Oh, she's one. We have to get her out. And like, my perspective was like, she's, she's won the game though. Like, why wouldn't you want to align learn? You know,
[01:03:35] you already have like a, technically a shield, someone that you can play along, like play with. Like, I don't know. I was just more kind of like in the mode of like aligning where a lot of people were like, you know, probably shouldn't have aligned with the vets. But listen, I will always say that I think aligning with the vets is a smart decision. I think Drew and Barrett made a smart decision doing that, especially because when they revealed that powers were happening, I mean, it's come on. It's pretty obvious that probably we're going to see the first three powers go to the vets. I mean, they already have a fan base. They're already, you know, up there,
[01:04:04] but yeah, I don't know. This is, this is fun. I'm enjoying it. Yeah. How do you think Angela's done in the egg costume? Oh, you know, as someone who also played with someone who was in a costume. I mean, I remember when, when Vince was in his costume, like he did have like marks on his shoulders. It wasn't a comfortable costume, but I think just like how he was like, she's still very like funny. It's like, I don't know. I mean, I'm sure Taryn, you probably saw this. I don't know how you, how locked in you guys are into the feeds,
[01:04:33] but like when they were up in the HOH room and she literally falls like in front of like Devin's and Lala and everyone's like, Oh God. Like, it's so funny because it's Angela. Like, she's just so much more funny because it's Angela. Like she hates her life in that egg costume, but like she's making the best of it. You know, when she was arguing at the nomination ceremony and like her hair was in her face and she was trying to get it out, but she can't reach to pull it. So she has to fling it. And then the hat flew off. Like I'm living for Angela. Like she's excellent. And I love it. Yeah.
[01:05:02] I loved when she was voting tonight. Uh, they had her in the diary room already. So Julie was doing the whole intro as Angela was just sitting there holding the collar down, just like waiting. So good. And you sit in there for a while. Like if you're the person who is after the commercial break, you sit in there for a while and then they count down. So she was in there for probably quite some time,
[01:05:29] just waiting to hear when they're telling you that Julie is going to, you know, cue you in. That's so funny. I love it. Yeah. Do you think that Angela being unhappy and, uh, sort of in a bad mood with the costume, did that contribute to her annoyance with drew this week? Taryn? It could have, there's a world, but it's like D was right there with her and D didn't have anything to be annoyed about. So, uh, you know, if anything, I think that, uh, that like,
[01:05:58] it just made her even less have, have even less. In fact, Haley said on the feeds that Angela in the egg costume was actually easier to deal with than, uh, than Angela outside of the egg costume because she has less energy to go around being all over the place. So, interesting. Yeah. We might, we might have to be aware of, uh, what a hatched Angela is capable of. She could have a second wind. You know, what's interesting is now that people know she was in the, um,
[01:06:28] time capsule and she doesn't have, she's not going to ever get a power. Like, I'm very curious to see how people look at Angela now as a player. It's like, oh, she's not going to get a power. So like, we're like, I'm so excited to see what the house guests are going to do with a powerless Angela moving forward. Like they know that she got a punishment. She's never going to get a power now, granted D and Devin's might, but it's still like Angela's kind of in a spot where they don't have to question if she's getting a power or not. A hundred percent. Yeah. It's, it reminds me a little bit of the, um,
[01:06:56] I don't remember exactly what it was called all stars when they had the, uh, the thing where they could only compete once for safety. Um, and once you'd already competed, you were less of a threat. Star power. Was that it? Uh, what was that? Star power. Was that, was that a thing? I don't think it was star power. It was, um, I remember what it was. It was like the safety. No. The backstage boss was Taylor season. Yeah. It was a safety. And once you had competed,
[01:07:26] you couldn't compete again. And so it got to the point where they were actively targeting the people who still could compete because it would give them a better chance of guaranteeing a safety suite win. Uh, Uh, so having already publicly gotten past that point, there's really no reason to target Angela for the next five weeks. Uh, cause she'll never get a power. Honestly, I feel like we could see her making it to jury. Cause if you look at someone like Angela, like someone who's kind of messy, like she kind of parent paranoia,
[01:07:53] like she's obviously most likely statistically not going to win a part one HOH. You know what I mean? So it's like, she could be someone that ends up being taken to jury because she's not going to get a power and she could be beaten. Who knows? I'm still, I would not want her on my, I would not want her on my jury. I would not want her on my jury. Mari, is there anybody else, uh, from the cast that you want to talk about? Um, I, I love D. I really do. I,
[01:08:23] she is one of those people like on TV. She's so mesmerizing to watch. And it hurts my soul that like, I'm technically kind of rooting against her because I hate big alliances, but I, I feel like no matter what happens with the tool shed, D has the social chops to rise above whatever the wreckage is. Yeah. Now, if she does get pulled down by the Meyer, that is Angela.
[01:08:52] I am a little worried, but, uh, uh, other than that, I, I really like seeing a D even with all of her flaws and over gaming and paranoia. She is just so captivating to watch. There's something about her. That's very captivating. Yeah. We can hold two things in our hands where we can be rooting personally for the people we know, and also be rooting for it to be a good season. Right. Yeah. We got both of those things.
[01:09:22] You could thread that needle. So, yeah, I mean, we talked to Becca Devens and I loved her perspective. She was so chill about the whole thing. And I was like, if Becca Devens can be chill about this, then like, I think we can all be pretty chill about this. I think we can do it. Yeah. Okay. All right. And Taryn, anything else on your mind with all this? I'm just excited to see what happens with the HOH. I think there's a lot of possibilities. Even these,
[01:09:51] like we talked about at the start of the podcast, like even the spot where the big majority Alliance wins, there's a chance they shoot themselves in the foot. So, you know, I think we've got some, some interesting potential scenarios coming forward. So, okay. Find out. All right. So, we will keep you covered. Covered on everything. And, we will have with, a exit interview tomorrow with Rome.
[01:10:20] And, looking forward to hearing what he says outside of the house. Then join Taryn and Puyah for the live feed update around noon Eastern, maybe a couple of minutes. If we've later, if we fall behind after the Rome exit interview, I talked with Eric Stein. If you're waiting for the feeds for, to come back up after, uh, we're waiting for the HOH competition,
[01:10:45] check out what Eric and I had to say about week two in the big brother house. As Taryn mentioned, Becca Devins joined us as well. I thought that was a really fun conversation with Rick Devins wife. She had a great perspective, as Taryn was saying. Uh, she has a very similar sensibility to Rick and she's having as much fun as she can with this experience. check out what Becca Devins had to say. And, of course,

Rob's website.com slash BB mailbag.
[01:11:38] We talked about all of the win percentages and Taryn this week. We'll have to divvy up what Rome had left. Yeah. We'll have to give, give his percentage, bequeath his percentage points. Yes. Yes. Okay. And we'll see, uh, maybe the new HOH might have a big, uh, bump in the percentages. And then, uh, we'll have so much going on over at RehapCon 2026. That's going to be next month in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
[01:12:08] And we have tickets available already, uh, for our patrons. And you could check out that information at RehapCon.com. Okay. Mari, what's coming up for you?
