Also available on YouTube.
To say Melody and Dee played very different Big Brother 28 games would be a massive understatement. They werenβt just on different pages of a book, they were in whole separate libraries! The two of them were opposites in so many ways, one playing a much better game than the other, and yet they went out in quick succession. Still, one had a good chance to win if sheβd made it to the end, while the other had essentially no chance. You can probably guess which is which but David Bloomberg and Chappell break it all down for both of them. At RHAP, we know Big Brother, and we know Why Melody and Dee Lost.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_13] Monday on NBC.
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_15] U.S. Marshal!
[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_13] All new Line of Fire. The thrilling new crime drama.
[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_15] The world sees us as heroes, but they don't know what the job really costs.
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_12] One family of federal agents. It's one thing to put yourself in danger. It's different when it's your family. Balances duty to their country. An assassin is still out there. Stop! And each other.
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_16] How do you protect the world and the people you love at the same time?
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_13] Every case hits home on Line of Fire. Monday on NBC.
[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_17] You blame yourself and God voted it out. This is why blank lost. This is why blank lost. Baby, this is why blank lost.
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_08] Welcome back to another double edition of Big Brother Why Blank Lost. Wait, wait, do you hear that? I think it's the Pharaoh. Oh no! We've been cursed! Now we only have one more week of Big Brother 28! Okay, some people may say that's a blessing, not a curse. But the real curse is that I only have one more week of chatting with my co-host, Chappelle.
[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_09] Yes, David, it's me. I'm one of the people who would say it's a blessing. Let's wrap this thing up. This season, it's time. It's time to go. Let's pack it up. But yeah, I've been enjoying this, David. It's our first season podcasting about anything together for the whole season. And yeah, this has been so much fun. And we've had a lot to talk about, a lot of interesting gameplay. You know, sometimes Big Brother can get a little stale. You know, it just does. But this season has been very dynamic and fun and interesting.
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_09] There's been so many iterations. I think even right now, the outcomes are unclear. And that's so much fun. And so, yeah, I have definitely been enjoying this. But I do think that I'm starting to lose steam. I'm starting to see the end, the finish line. And I don't know if I'm gonna make it.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, it doesn't help that, you know, they've got survivor overlapping and the traders overlapping. And of course, multiple seasons of the traders, if you're someone like me. But come on, can't we just finish Big Brother first?
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_09] I mean, you know, Willy Wonka is coming or something like that. I just don't like...
[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_08] I have not watched a single episode of Willy Wonka.
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_09] I'm gonna go ahead and spoil it for you. I'm not watching it.
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_08] It's like, I'll...
[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_09] I'll watch it. I don't know. I don't know, man. Someone's gonna have to tell me. Something's gonna have to happen on that show for me to go watch it. Because otherwise, I think I'm good. I might have to pass.
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_08] I just heard there was a Lala-like wallpaper licking competition or something.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_09] See, that's not doing it. I don't... That's not enough. You know, people want me to watch 99 to beat because of the dang Big Brother players over there to survive. Hey guys, let's stop. Let's just get Big Brother out of the way. We're already beat. We don't need 99. I don't need it. I don't need it. So yeah, let's get Big Brother out of the way so we can move on to other things.
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Well, this week we have a lot to talk about. And we have two very different players. Almost opposites in most ways. Which means we'll be covering all the bases as we follow the same path. That's kind of a mixed metaphor there. Cover all the bases on the same path. But the same path that we do every week, comparing how both Melody and Dee played to a set of guiding rules I originally wrote back in 2004 and have modified ever since.
[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_08] We'll analyze their actions using what we saw on TV, live feeds, interviews, and other information. And of course, the most recent published version of the rules is at robhazwebsite.com slash Big Brother rules. Now, before we get to all of that, we always have some other things to discuss about the week in general. But this week, I said always this week, not so much because there were so few people there.
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_08] And so much time was dedicated to figuring out what would happen with Melody and who drew Witty Vick. So really, the only thing I want to mention isn't even about what happened in the house. It's something that Melody told Mike Bloom because it deals with us, Chappelle. Okay. And it completely validates what we talked about last week, even as some people continued
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_08] to claim that Melody didn't know what she was doing or made the wrong decision in renominating Yash in the double eviction. And I said, he iced me out of the vote with D and Angela, which clearly meant he wasn't working or he was working with the icons. And then that put an even bigger target on my back and just solidified that me, Drew and Barrett were a trio and we're the next to go. And he lied to me about what the bribe exactly covered. And then ultimately put me on the block next to my only two allies.
[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_08] And then he was the biggest competition threat. So that's exactly what we discussed last week in terms of him losing her trust. I love the smell of indication in the morning.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, she's saying exactly what she needs to say, because that's where we were at. We looked at it from all angles and said, like, yeah, she could do a bunch of things here. There's not any real just like game clinching move that she can make that would just, you know, catapult her to number one as far as like threat, threat wise or win equity or whatever. But she has to maximize the little bit of time that she has. And so, yeah, getting Drew out loses a person who will take her even further into the game. Yash is not going to take her that far into the game.
[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_09] Yash is going to take Taylor into the end game if she can. She needs to see she's trying to make it as far as she can and maximize her attempts to win. She can't. She also can't beat Yash. So it's not bad that Yash is going out. We agreed. She said she sounds like she completely understands what she did. Now, I do think that, you know, with hindsight, maybe getting Drew out isn't so bad for her because at least people are not incentivized to then take her out as much because she's not like a tie, a duo. But they're still not incentivized to take her for art.
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_09] You know, that doesn't with Drew being there, it doesn't make Melody so attractive as like, OK, this is my definitely final three needs to be Taylor and Melody. You know, I just think that she made the choice with the decisions that she had in front of her. She looked around. She said, OK, this is the best I could do in a short amount of time. And I think that, you know, being the week prior to her accident, I think that she had her peak at the right time. You know, it was the best. It was the best thing for a lot of people in that house.
[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_08] Right, right. Now, normally, maybe not this season, but normally we even have our Julie Chen Moonves is wrong about blank segment. But of course, as we've talked about each week, Julie, it's been so strange. And once again, I don't have anything. If this keeps up next season, we're going to have to move it to semi-retired status. So we'll have to see if they hire the same intern to keep her informed or she goes back to her, her usual way.
[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, she even said a bunch of nice things about Devins in her interview. That must have been so painful for her.
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_09] She's running out of content. She's like, oh, my God, I can't drag him anymore. It's like she's like us. She's like, I can't figure out a way to drag Devins. We can't figure out a way to drag you. You know? Yeah. And look, at least Julie is listening to the voices that are in her head. She got the little us, the little bike in there. You know, they're like, Julie, don't say that. And she's like, OK, I'll give you this because Jeff Probst ain't doing it over on Survivor. Jeff's like, see, we all love the fire making. Oh, you know, so I'm sorry. Would I have to lead and say like, I'm going to I'm going to side with Julie on this one, Jeff.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_09] You really piss me off. Oh, yeah.
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_08] With the size of our segment, our Jeff Probst is wrong about segment on the on the Survivor version of the podcast that we recorded last night, which is now available. Oh, that was an extra double long. And I didn't even include everything I could have in that segment.
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Injected into my veins because Julie got us over here starving.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_08] Right. Right. But that just means now, OK, we don't have as much stuff for the free. It's time to move into, you know, like I said, we have plenty to talk about. So let's get into it, because to say Melody and Dee played very different games would be a massive understatement. They weren't just on different pages of a book. They were in like two separate libraries.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_08] They were opposites in so many ways, one playing a much better game than the other. And yet they went out in quick succession. Still, one had a good chance to win if she'd made it to the end while the other had no chance. You can probably guess which is which. But let's break it all down for both of them. And R.H.A.P., we know Big Brother and we know why Melody and Dee lost. I hadn't thought about saying those two together. Melody and Dee. Melody and Dee. Yeah.
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Well, the first and most important rule is, of course, to scheme and plot. And just as I suggested, we have a very big difference between our two evictees. To put it bluntly, Melody didn't strategize nearly enough. While Dee, let's just say we'll not only be talking about her in rule one, but definitely in rule two as well. Let's start with Melody. I think it's fair to say she was widely known for not doing much in terms of gameplay.
[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_08] She came in talking about how she's a huge super fan and has been watching since she was in the womb. I said in our preview podcast, I think she has potential, but I just don't know if she'll live up to it. Boy, did I hit that nail on the head because through her entire time we would see her think about and talk about making moves or having conversations that would have been great to have. But then not doing it.
[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_08] She she would just often like talk herself out of it by going, well, I should talk to this person. But, you know, that won't matter. They won't change their mind and so on. Melody, you you never know until you try. Just look at the fact that Devins seemed dead in the water this week until like two hours before the eviction.
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_08] He kept working on Drew and it worked or the fact that there should have been no way that Yash and Taylor would flip to keep D over Angela. But he worked on them until she got her way. You never know until you try.
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_09] I think Melody, she's so fascinating as a player for me because I have been very critical of her all season because she talks so much trash her in the pipe queen. They they they get together and they just they just yapping, yapping, yapping about what everybody else is doing wrong in the game. But then you look at them, you say, OK, now you go do something and you get no motion. You know, I think week one, I think that was the most active Melody was for me. She came in and she said, all right, I'm going to play. She got lyric is starting to move reckless.
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_09] She like I'm leaving lyric. I'm leaving her to fit in the dust. I'm going to go. So she starts separating herself from lyric in or she starts stepping us stuff from Mallory. That's what it was. Mallory is like the first pariah. She like I want to be seen with you. Then Mallory goes and wins competition. She like, OK, Mallory, we can come back. But lyric, we don't want to be seen with you now. Like she very quickly was like, all right, I don't want to be surrounded by the people who are going to be at the bottom. Cool. And then she said, well, I kind of like these people at the bottom. They're fun. I want to talk to them. I just hang out with them and I'm just going to keep hanging out with them.
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_09] And she did. She got in her alliance. First, it was, you know, Melody and Mallory and, you know, lyric. Then lyrics gone. So, OK, so it's just Melody and Mallory. And then they find Barrett and then Drew. And, you know, it's OK. Now it's the four of us. And we're the four best friends that anybody can have. It's just us being the four friends. Just hanging out, hanging out, driving the plane and driving the truck. And then, you know, on the train and all the all the fun games and stuff like that.
[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_09] Talking trash about people. Showmance and doing everything but talking to the other people in the house. And really scheming and plotting with people who were trying to start like some type of counter, you know, alliance to the obvious, the obvious alliance with the vets. I saw a clip this week with Ashley, our first boot from this season. And she pulls Melody into the storage room and she says, OK, Melody, here's the alliance.
[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_09] It's the icons and it's Drew and it's Barrett and it's Kamu and it's Chuck and it's Haley. And Melody's like in the diary room like, whoa, my mind is blown. You had all of that in front of you. You actually laid it out for you. And then the rest of the game, there are attempts, but they are futile. They are flimsy attempts at doing anything.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_09] You know, my biggest disappointment with her is that the only the real end that she had was her relationship with Drew and Barrett. And she wasn't able to use that to her benefit at all. And then when it was time for her to grab the ball and do it with her and Mallory there and they're on these balance competitions. And I'll say the same thing I said about her. I say about Mallory. That is your chance to win and take control and to make the moves for yourself. And she did not do it during that challenge is crazy.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_09] They all did it. And then now we see what happens. So, yes, scheming and plotting. She just wasn't. She wasn't locked in on the game. I think she forgot what she was doing after a while.
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. That is a very good summary. But people know me. I like to dive into the details. Get in there. So let's let's give some examples here, because like you said, this was an issue for her all game long. Back in mid July, I want to give credit to Ren Davis. He said this on Blue Sky. Melody has done nothing but talk to people who have no power all day. Talk about calling out a trend before it even started to happen.
[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_08] In early August, when Melody was up against Lyric, she told Mallory, I haven't talked to anyone. Now, say what you will about Lyric. She at least talked to people, lots of people outside her little group. Early September, Melody complained she couldn't get in with Taylor and Lala and hadn't really worked with Yash. So she only had Drew and Barrett who had lied to her. Well, why do you think you couldn't get in with them? Oh, that's right.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_08] Because you chose not to work outside Mallory and your little group and so on. In the September 16 TV episode, she said she felt like she was truly on her own fighting for herself. It's like, well, yeah, because that's the situation you created for yourself. Other people had fought for you and carried you. And most of those people were gone now.
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. The the thing that always kind of bugs me about the like, I can't figure out a way to work with this group. Right. Is that people they try once and they give up and then they go back to what's comfortable. And it's like kind of like give it a half ass try and the people aren't really giving it to them. So they give up and they go back to what's comfortable. But you'll notice that once we get down to the final five, the final six, final four, final three, all of a sudden these people can find reasons to work for each other. Because now all of a sudden with no other options. Huh? Wow. I think I do.
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_09] I think I do kind of like D. I think I could see myself going to the final two with D. I think me and D can work. Where did all this come from? All season is like, I just can't speak. I just don't understand what Lala and Taylor are doing. I don't know. Now all of a sudden we're like, oh, are Taylor and Melody locking in right now? Should they be working together? Magically, once you are limited to just these few people, your gameplay opens up. But you need to start looking at the entire game like that. Yes, this person doesn't want to talk to you right now, but make them talk to you. Go and spend some time with these people. Try to get to know each other. This is a long game.
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_09] And for, you know, obviously you want to go back to what's comfortable because you're away from home. You're in the parking lot. You haven't seen anybody else. You like certain people more, but you got to at least try. And it was just just the feeble attempts to make these connections where you go in there and swing and a miss. All right, cool. Where's where's Drew? You know, meanwhile, Drew is in your face. He and they face and he and other people's faces. He's just bustling around the house. But no one could say that he was not active because we saw him bustling around the house.
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_09] And we always knew where to find you with Mallory.
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. And then on top of that, it wasn't just not talking to the right people. It was creating an oppositional situation with the wrong people. So I just quoted Ren Davis and he also added, Melody has made no attempt to build anything with the icons and has created a distrustful, antagonistic perception. So, I mean, you've got these two ends working against her.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_08] Plus, even when she did talk to the right people, it was half hearted. Like you said, these these basic attempts, like when she finally decided to talk to Angela in the battle between herself and Lyric and said, well, I'm not going to go around to everybody promising safety. Why not? Why not? What you have watched Big Brother since you were in the womb. Why are you not going around and promising safety? And then she went back to lying around and being upset.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_08] And I think that a big part of the problem was just she truly had no idea what was happening in the house for a lot of the time. Now, it's a it's a I don't know what the cause and effect is. Did she have this problem because she didn't know what was going on or did she not know what was going on because she wasn't talking to anyone but her own group? I think it's a combination there.
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_08] But like at the end of July, she said in the diary room, well, Taylor needs to not go with personal feelings to keep Lala instead of Mallory. Okay, you're missing the point. You don't understand. It's not just personal feelings. That's her number one ally.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_10] Yeah.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_08] You know, she would be voting out her number one ally and moving to the bottom of an alliance. And then around the same time, she kept saying things like, well, if if people vote this way, it would divide the house. Despite the fact that it was also already very clearly divided and she was on the wrong side of it. You just talked about that Ashley scene.
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_08] And then if that wasn't enough, Jason literally called it out to everyone in the tea party. Oh, you're going to divide the house. So how do you have no idea that this is actually the way it is? Or as Devins would say to Drew in early September, she hasn't even been in on things that have happened in the house.
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_09] Was it when Haley had the HOH and was it Melody who was like, I'm not talking to her? I'm just not. I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to I'm not going to do that with her. I just being her don't get along. But it's like that's that. That's the the thing that bothers me, right? I'm too real. I can't you know, I can't be fake like that. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. This is for seven hundred fifty thousand dollars. And even if it wasn't you trapped in a house for two months. What else do you have to do? Why? Why not lie? Why not?
[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_08] Get air into Drew's eyes.
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. But like, hey, in the meantime, go do these other things. Lyric was in love. Did Lyric stop playing the game? No. No, no. Lyric was. Lyric was damn near proposed to on TV. We got on here, talked about why Lyric lost. And we did not say Lyric just sat in one room. We said Lyric was getting busy. Now, the problem is that Lyric was getting too busy. She was everywhere. Right. She was doing it all. But Melody, you got so like caught up in your own little web of like, these are my friends.
[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_09] And these are what I want to hang out with. So that whenever you went and you got any type of pushback from these people who were in power or you saw the lines about it, instead of being proactive and trying to figure out a way to work with them, to maneuver your way into them, you would give it like a shot. And then you'd give up and go back to the people who were working actively working against you. If it'd be different if FAP was some strong alliance that was always anti-ally and they just couldn't get power.
[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_09] No, the people in FAP were going and working with the allies to your detriment. You know, so at least maybe you should go work with the allies to their detriment. Maybe you should go and throw Drew under the bus a little bit because he's throwing you under the bus. But she doesn't see it. And when she did see it, it didn't matter to her because it was like, oh, well, there's nothing I can do about it. Drew, stop, stop. You're always going back to them. Well, maybe you stop telling him stuff. You know, maybe start talking to other people.
[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_09] She really just it's like I said, she's so fascinating because you could see that the instinct to do something was there. But she just didn't have the will. She just kind of gave up. And then it was like, oh, well, we can't do this. We can't do that. And giving up just looks so sad and boring. And then when you finally get power, people are like, OK, now we want you to do what you should have been doing the whole game. But when it to her, it doesn't make sense to her to do that thing.
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_09] Now you're getting dragged. And I think that had she been more active throughout the entire season, it wouldn't have looked like, oh, when she finally got in power, she didn't know what she was doing.
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_13] Monday on NBC.
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_15] U.S. Marshall!
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_13] All new Line of Fire. The thrilling new crime drama.
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_15] The world sees us as heroes, but they don't know what the job really costs.
[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_12] One family of federal agents. It's one thing to put yourself in danger. It's different when it's your family. Balances duty to their country. An assassin is still out there. Stop! And each other.
[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_16] How do you protect the world and the people you love at the same time?
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_13] Every case hits home on Line of Fire. Monday on NBC.
[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, yeah. A perfect example of all of this you mentioned is Drew. Her situation there. Despite all the time that she spent with him. And the fact that she knew where he stood. And how sneaky he'd been. Or at least she eventually reached that point. She, like you said, she didn't do anything to bring him over from the dark side.
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_08] Which kind of goes along with her overall game of, well, not doing anything to strategize with almost anyone. She could have at least tried, you know, to pull him the same way the icons had. But she never did until basically a couple weeks ago when she was like, Drew, I want you to use the veto on me instead of yourself. Yeah, that wasn't going to fly, Melody.
[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, even during that week when she was nominated against Drew and Barrett, she played it much like she played the rest of the season by not really doing anything. She needed to be lobbying for votes, but she just got mad when Drew won veto rather than actually trying to prepare for the possibility. Her final days in the House were much the same. Barely any campaigning to try to get Dee to vote out Taylor instead of herself.
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_08] She told Dalton Ross, the only thing I can think of that I would want to do over strategically to get me in a better position to win is to get closer with Dee earlier. I feel like if I had gotten closer with Dee before Taylor did and had more of an allyship with her, maybe that would have taken me further. Well, yeah, I think you're right. But this was not a final week issue. This was a whole game issue.
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_09] The Mallory vote really radicalized her and Barrett and I put a battery in their backs to where there was like, OK, now now we see the truth right now. I can't I see what's happening. That's where Drew is. But there were so many signs throughout the season that they were just ignoring. I will always go back to that moment where Angela is sitting outside and she's like, well, you know, the guys have been working with us since the very beginning. Right. Really? Really? OK, cool. Well, at that point, Melody, what are you going to do about it? And they don't do anything.
[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Like you just. Hey, this is cool. I was like, hey, go make your own thing. Tell them, hey, it needs to be all the women. It needs to be all of us. You've been working with the guys this whole time. I hate them. How about we go after them? You know, like how about just do anything? Try something, throw something, you know, do something. But it just like I said, it always falls flat because even in that moment, she's so disappointed by. Oh, Drew's been lying to me. Oh, she's so hurt by Mallory's going home. She's doing all this screaming and hollering in the background, which is still crazy to me.
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_09] But it's like once you do that, get to work, get to work. You know, we saw and she talks about Taylor, but we saw when Yash went home, Taylor goes and cries and then Taylor starts pushing her agenda. You know, she gets to work. And so when she looks back and says, yeah, maybe I should have been a little bit more like Taylor. Yeah, you should have. And I hate that it's taking hindsight for you to see that.
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, exactly. All right. I think we can switch to D now. And of course, we have a completely opposite situation because, as I said, if anything, she over did it, which, you know, we'll get to in real time. For now, we'll look at what she did in terms of scheming and plotting because there was a lot of good stuff there going on. And I want to note, she began the game by playing dumb.
[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_08] Now, I know she acknowledged in her interviews that she didn't know as much about the game as she should have and was learning some of it on the fly. But she had been coached up by her friends, Brandon and Kelly, among others. And she definitely knew a lot more than she was letting on. Meanwhile, she had people like Jason and Taylor absolutely convinced she was clueless. Both of them talking about how they have to teach her.
[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_08] On day six, D said to the cameras, do these people think I'm stupid? They actually think I'm so stupid. It's so fun. And then even weeks later, Taylor talked to Yash about how D was probably one of the winners who shouldn't have won. It was probably just a floater who got lucky. And then her acting continued as people who should have known better, even including Barrett and Drew, did not think she and Devins were really all that close.
[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, she she came into a game with massive advantages. Right. Like she knew the she knew two people. Oh, yeah. Well, yeah. But she also should have come in the game with a huge target. She should have came in the game. This person has won a game that's very similar to Big Brother. People have always said survivor is Big Brother on an island or Big Brother is survivor in a house. You know, they there's some shared DNA in that you got to vote people out. You got to have a social game. You got to win a jury vote. So she's got experience in this.
[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_09] You could probably discount Angela a little bit because Angela is a personality hire. Trust me, as one I understand. But then you also have Devins, who some would argue is a bit of a personality hire. He is a showman. He came here because he's going to make a scene and he has done that at every turn. He came here to win. D came here to win as a shark in the water. And so for her to come in and, you know, obviously she comes in and gets that H.O.H. But after that, you know, there are so many opportunities for you to go and start to work. You know, you have to start working to get D out.
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_09] It's not enough to sit around with Mallory and say, oh, we hate D. We hate D. We're going to target D. That's not good enough. You have to go out and put out work in because D is going to work hard. You know, the devil works hard, but D works harder. And she's working everybody at all at every turn. She don't even like these people. The red corner. She hated them. She spent the first two weeks talking trash about Chuck and Haley and Kamu to some extent.
[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_09] But she was working with them because she knew that I needed to have work with these people that I didn't necessarily agree with or like too much because they're good for my game. She was willing to do that. You think Melody could go and fake it with Haley and Chuck? No, she couldn't. And that's why she did it. So, you know, to say D was not scheming and plotting enough, which is like it's just the antithesis of who D is. She can't help herself.
[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_08] Right. Yeah. I mean, she did like she did so much more than just acting when she came in. She was making individual relationships and alliances right out of the gate. Like a perfect example. Drew told her Jason was coming after Devin's D goes into action specifically seeks out Jason just to chat. They end up with an alliance. Now, Jason later said it was a fake alliance, but who knows? She still had an alliance on paper and he might have changed his mind.
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_08] We've seen that happen before. But the point is she acted proactively to try to shore up support. And this was just one of many examples throughout the game. If she decided she needed to change the way things were going or to smooth her path, she did the opposite of Melody. She went directly to the person and talked to them. To the point that Mallory complained about it in her interview.
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_08] Mallory in one of her exit interviews said, oh, the thing I hated about D was she always wanted to talk about things. And she always wanted things out in the open. Well, we're allowed to have our own inside thoughts. Well, yeah, you are Melody, but I'm sorry, Mallory. But D is also allowed to try to talk to you about it. So, you know, I don't know why Mallory was. Well, I know why Mallory was complaining. We don't need to dive into that. But, you know, how did D save herself when she was against Angela?
[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_08] She talked and talked and talked to the voters, Yash and Taylor. How did she save herself against Yash during the double eviction? She immediately went to Drew and started making him promises. Now, would it have ended up that way anyway? Maybe. But she wasn't going to take that chance. She was not Melody. She was not going to sit back. She went directly to the source. It was the same. Every time she wanted to do something, she talked to people.
[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. And if she couldn't get to that person, you could talk to the proxy. You know, it was like, OK, me and Mallory not really getting along. Drew, can you go do some work with Mallory? Barrett, can you go do some work with Mallory? Go get me in good with them. They Mallory and Melody should not be sitting around being like, man, I keep hearing Drew D talking trash about me knowing that all season and then not doing anything about it. D heard the same exact thing. She heard, oh, Melody and Mallory are talking trash about me.
[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_09] And when she had the opportunity to get them out, she didn't want to at first. But then the target on their back, she's like, why wouldn't I? I know y'all hate me. And this was when Mallory finally let her guard down. That's why she's so mad in that in that iconic, you know, diary room where she's screaming and talking about the icons are the worst allies ever and they're horrible people and all this other stuff. Yeah, because they're not your allies. They're not your allies. These are your they're working against you. They use that alliance.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_09] They scheme and they plot it with you to let you let your guard down. Y'all through challenges that you shouldn't have thrown. And then when they had the chances to cut you, they did. And they did the same thing with Lala and Taylor when they were like, oh, yeah, it's the honor society until they needed to cut Kamu. And then all of a sudden we're honor society. You know, that's how it works. And D did that above and beyond the way that Melody even like they attempted to do it. That's why I was like when I kind of falls on deaf ears for me.
[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_09] And I guess that's an awful metaphor. So I won't say it like that. But I think for me, it's just like I can't really understand when you say like I'm having a hard time talking to people and pushing when you see people who will not stop. They are relentless in pushing. And I much I respect that a little bit more than I do the half ass try that I saw on the other side a lot of times.
[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. A lot more because and then the other thing is when D talked to people, she had no problem whatsoever if she had to lie or in her famous words swear on her mom, her dad, her dog, whatever. And yet somehow that part really never caught up to her. Like when she worked on convincing Yash to keep her instead of Angela, she told Yash, oh, I never broke a promise to you or to my alliance.
[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_08] And the only reason that it didn't work with with. With them, because I was so loyal to the crossovers, but I need to work with you now because they turned on me and I'm looking for someone to be a good person. And it was such a load of BS. She knew it, but Yash bought it. And because of that, she was able to exert an enormous amount of control throughout the game.
[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_08] In most ways, if she wanted something to happen, it happened that a great deal of that was because of her strategic ability and her willingness to just be straightforward and address whatever issues there were. With that said, you've already brought this up. We can't ignore the massive advantages she had to start with. Being one of only three who could win the first HOH. Having a pre-built alliance.
[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_08] Having an even more pre-built and tighter alliance with the guy she had just played survivor with. And done a bunch of press stuff with. And of course being first in line to get the audience voted chance at a power. While her allies did the same. Devins saved her with a diamond power of veto. She kept them safe with the bribe. And she did acknowledge as much in her interview with Mike Bloom. For example, she said, I do think we had an advantage, obviously.
[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_08] However, I did not choose to get an advantage. This was all America. Blame America if you want to. Well, okay, D, I'm not going to blame America. I blame production. But I understand what she's saying. Don't blame me for what was done on my behalf because I didn't choose it. And she's right. We have to take that into account. But as she continued, it all came down to what Devins and I did with the powers. And I think that both of us used our powers to their full advantage and their full power in itself.
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_08] And I have to say she's right here. Devins used the veto on her because they were tight allies. Sure, they came in with a likelihood of working together. But it didn't have to end up that way. It could have gone a very different way. We saw on Survivor 50 people who came in as allies and went against each other. We saw it happen time and time again on Survivor 50. Here, she took the bribe, which many of us, including myself, pooh-poohed when she got it.
[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_08] I was like, that is almost worthless. She turned it into a literal game changer in ways that I wouldn't have thought of. I know Taryn thought of some of it. But Taryn is Taryn. He is thinking about this every minute of every day. And D is no Taryn. And yet she came up with it. And she told Mike, Bloom, I'm proud of the way I handled the BB bribe. It was a hard no at first. And then I came back up. And I got the most out of that 5K.
[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_08] I was able to keep not only myself safe, but Devin's and Angela for a whole week, even as a re-nob. She's actually not giving the outcome enough credit because she doesn't realize as of now that Yash threw the HOH comps to avoid being stuck under the terms of the bribe. So she kept them safe for multiple weeks with this thing. She figured out how to best use it and exert her power over Yash
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_08] to pressure him to accept her terms when, as we discussed last week, there was no way he should have done it.
[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_09] We could have been talking about this bribe as an afterthought, you know, as like, oh, yeah, she saved herself for a week, you know, because that's really what I thought she was going to come in and do. Hey, she's about to be in danger. Here's a bribe. Take $5,000, whatever it is. And for that, keep me off the block. Whenever you want HOH, don't put me up. You know, like that to me, solid, solid choice here. Save me whenever you get a chance to. I don't want to go up on your HOH. Don't. That means I don't need to go up after the nominations. I don't need to go to first nominations, whatever. I've just for you. I'm safe.
[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_09] Bet. Cool. Easy peasy. One week safety, probably. Right. No. She goes and saves her entire alliance because she asked for it. She had the like the audacity to go and be like, no, don't just save me. Save these other two people who Yash has been actively against the entire time. Now, to be fair, Yash really is up against it. You know, he's a rock and a hard place. Like, was he not going to take the bribe and then end up on the block? I mean, he could have. That's not a there's not a thing that he didn't. He could he couldn't have done. Right.
[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_09] He could have definitely been like, no, that's that. I don't want it. But maybe she would be willing to bring that that ask down a little bit. Maybe he's like, all right, well, I can't do that. But you said it. Yeah. Really changed the trajectory of the game. Yash is throwing HOHs. His allies are now turning on each other because he's putting them up and they can't understand
[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_09] why they're starting just these fake fights at the table where they're like, you're a liar. You're a liar. They're doing all of this stuff. And D is just kind of slipping into the background and using all of that chaos to work her way off the block against somebody like Angela, who she should definitely go home against every single time. So, yeah, to say she's not scheming and plotting and just look at how she handled those things. And to also know when she came out the house that, yes, that is one of the things that I did.
[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_09] Well, you know, a lot of people will play these games and somehow, you know, they might kind of trip ass backwards into some of the situations that they're in. Maybe they don't like unbeknownst to them, they would have gone home. I think back to Ian Terry's game against Dan Giesling. You know, Ian played a great game, but Ian's neck was on the chopping block for a lot of that game and he didn't know he was just winning challenges and luckily skirting by while Dan is sharpening his knives to take him out. And so Ian doesn't get to come out the game and say, yeah, I knew everything that was going on. Guess who does? D.
[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_08] Right. Right. Yeah. It's weird that you bring up those two. For some reason, there's been a lot of discussion about it. It's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. Interesting. Now, I do have to note that one thing Dee talked about in her Mike Bloom interview was that while they did have advantages, they also came in labeled as icons with a target on their backs. Okay. Fair.
[00:39:54] [SPEAKER_08] But the positives far outweighed the negatives. As I've said before, I understand production wanting to protect their investments, but they way overdid it. Maybe give them one week of safety and leave it at that. Not even, I mean, certainly not automatic HOH for one of them or with three of them in the house. Maybe that's enough of an advantage right there. Don't give them any safety. See what they can do.
[00:40:24] [SPEAKER_08] If you lose one, well, you got two more.
[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. No, I agree. And I think that production went out of their way above and beyond to give these people some space, right? Because they're really trying to use that Survivor 50. Survivor 50 was airing at the same exact time. They re-aired it right after Big Brother. So people who are watching this are going and seeing Devons and Dee before they even turn the channel from the last episode of Big Brother. They're seeing them again, right? So there are so many advantages. I will say this. In the hands of a less capable player, I don't even think we're having this conversation.
[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, if it's Angela in the house with two other Survivor players, I don't even know if we're having this conversation. But Dee specifically is somebody who is going to be able to do these kind of things. She did it in Survivor. She did it as well as she could in the challenge, which is also a very like, you know, like hierarchical game, you know, where you come in, you're new and you're at the bottom. Like she I've seen her do it multiple times. So I had full faith in Dee in this game and it paid off, you know, like, yeah, production gave them lift up.
[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_09] But if Angela didn't have Dee, oh, I think Angela's gone very early on. You know, I think the same thing with Devons. They were reeling her in. Now, sometimes they needed somebody to reel them in as well. But that's a different rule.
[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And yeah, getting back, you know, kind of to wrap up Dee's strategic game as it came down to the wire this week, she messed up, not just in letting Devons spend so much time with Drew while she spent time with Taylor, because earlier she had been with Drew quite a bit while, you know, there were days when like in the live feed recaps, Taryn was criticizing Devons for not spending enough time.
[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_08] So it went back and forth there, but more importantly, in her answer to a single question, Drew asked her on live feeds if she would throw the first part of the HOH to him. Throughout the game, she would have just lied straight to his face and said, yes, Drew, I absolutely will. But she hesitated. She didn't want to lie to him now. She wasn't sure. Meanwhile, Devons was like, absolutely. Shake hands. We have an agreement. And he made that promise.
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_08] Drew even specifically mentioned in his goodbye message that he didn't trust that she would take him to final two. Now, obviously, there were multiple factors involved in the decision. This one seemed to be the absolute key to solidifying which way he was going.
[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. If I'm going to be critical of Dee's game, I can say other rules. I'm going to harp on a lot more. But right here, this is definitely just like a make or break moment for her game. She had been up back against the wall so many other times. And I thought that she would rise to the occasion. But there's a game about stamina. It's about being able to last the entire summer. And that means never taking your foot off the gas when you need to. And for Drew, I think at this point, there's four or five people left coming into this week. The melody's gone. People are just dropping like flies.
[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_09] And now they're sitting around and it's like, oh, we're besties. Everybody's best friends. This is my brother. This is my sister. This is my dad. They're doing all this kind of stuff. And she let that sink in, you know, to where those emotions and stuff like that were hindering her gameplay. I think that's part of the reason why she was separating herself from Drew so much is that like, you know, she because she's planning on cutting him eventually. She's like, oh, yeah, me and Taylor, we're going to take this. And so although she should be separating herself from Taylor, they talked about it. They didn't execute it. They didn't.
[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_09] They're like drinking wine together, you know, you know, chilling. That's where you need to be locked in, especially because it sounded like Drew was really looking for a reason to cut Devin's. He likes Devin's a lot emotionally, but everyone is telling him. Even Devin's to some extent is like, you're going to lose to me, you know, like why not just lose to me? But Devin's is he's trying anything right because he knows he should be the one going the same way. Angela had no business going out sitting next to D.
[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_09] D had no business going out sitting next to Devin's. But she took her she took her foot off the gas. She didn't press. And I do think you're right. I think it became that that like emotional, sentimental bond between the two of them that really had her like hesitating to really make those cutthroat moves. We know she can do them. We saw her do them in Survivor. We saw them do her this season. But they're tougher for Survivor players in Big Brother because the week's not as fast.
[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_09] You know, you have to sit in those moments of those lies for days and days and days. The new era of Survivor is just so, so quick. You lied for a couple hours sometime and then they're gone. Now you got to sit here and look this weasel in the face. You're like, oh, you're my weasel brother. Oh, this is, you know, all this other stuff. But can you do it consistently? And yeah, she she slipped up at the very end.
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, exactly. I really do think I mean, we'll never know. Even if Drew tells us later, we'll never truly know. So I think for. 98, 99 percent of that time leading up to that eviction, Drew was getting rid of Devin's. And then at that last moment, you know, I really think that's what flipped the switch. Yeah.
[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_09] You know, she she we saw her press harder. And I guess I should say that, too. It's also Devin's. I think that that's another part that like those two have really solidified their bonds. They'll probably be friends for life at this point. You know, after the way they played this game, I'm pretty sure they came in like decently fine. Right. It's not like they went and found Wendell and Dom and put them in the season. Right. These people, they knew each other. They played together. But I wouldn't say they were a built in alliance from jump that was like, you know, there were definitely times where they toyed with evicting each other.
[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_09] But I do think that lying in the face of Drew and also campaigning against Devin, maybe her heart wasn't in it all the way.
[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_08] Right. Yeah. Yeah. Which we may talk about in a few rules here. OK.

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_11] U.S. Marshall!
[00:47:07] [SPEAKER_13] All new Line of Fire. The thrilling new crime drama.
[00:47:10] [SPEAKER_15] The world sees us as heroes, but they don't know what the job really costs.
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_12] One family of federal agents. It's one thing to put yourself in danger. It's different when it's your family. Balances duty to their country. An assassin is still out there. Stop! And each other.
[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_16] How do you protect the world and the people you love at the same time?
[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_13] Every case hits home on Line of Fire. Monday on NBC.
[00:47:34] [SPEAKER_03] What are you doing?
[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_06] Setting up my poll. I need to go viral to earn extra cash. And you're going to help me. Here, start filming when I say.
[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_02] Seems like a lot when you could just depop all those boots.
[00:47:47] [SPEAKER_05] Ugh, resale sucks. They take such a big cut.
[00:47:51] [SPEAKER_02] There's no selling fees on Depop. And it's easy to list.
[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_07] Ugh, really? Huh, easy.
[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_02] Make money on Depop with no selling fees. Download Depop and start selling today.
[00:48:05] [SPEAKER_08] But first, we have the second rule, which says not to scheme and plot too much and to keep your scheming secret. But, uh, given that Melody definitely didn't scheme enough, it might seem like she should be fine here. But no, because of her flirtmance with Drew. It's funny because one of the very first things we heard from Melody was how she didn't like Drew and he was annoying.
[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_08] But they got past that quickly. Still, for a while, despite all the long sessions of staring into each other's eyes, they weren't necessarily on the same page strategically. As the season went on, especially as other allies were evicted, they became the tightest two in the house. And that attracted all the wrong kinds of attention. And Melody herself did recognize that. She told Dalton Ross, I think there was no way they were going to keep me and Drew in the
[00:49:03] [SPEAKER_08] house together as a duo. And she added to Mike Bloom, I think ultimately my relationship with Drew probably hurt my game more than it helped it. I was obviously put up on the block next to him several times. So it definitely hurt more than it helped. Now, it's hard to judge that particular thing over the full course of the season. But certainly at the end, Dee and Devins didn't want to keep Drew and her whatever mance in the game to distract attention from them.
[00:49:35] [SPEAKER_09] And if you're going to have such a public showmance, right, that everybody I mean, the people thought they were in there like doing it, you know, people thought they were full blown showmance. These people ain't even kiss. So to have that alliance look so strong on the outside, you would think you would think that you would have that same strength in the alliance. And you did it. You did not. So it's like you did all of that drawing attention to yourself as a duo, but you didn't reap any of the benefits of it.
[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_09] You only got the downside to being an alliance. You know, the downside is they'll never turn on each other from your perspective. Right. Like I think eventually she got Drew. I think Drew got there toward the end. But I mean, toward the end, it's just five people left, you know, like what else he's going to do. But to me, these people were looking at them as a tight pair that they had to separate from. And if that is the case, why haven't you done so much more as a tight pair that would never separate? So that bothers me. So so it looks like it's like you have the appearance that you're scheming and plotting,
[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_09] which are not actually scheming and plotting in practice. And to me, that just that's so frustrating just to watch that happen and kind of play out as it did.
[00:50:43] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. And then, I mean, you know, there were other issues that she had and some of them you've brought up earlier a bit in rule one, like going back to earlier in the game. She didn't only change her opinion on Drew, but on Mallory as well, because although they were fast friends, she just as quickly ditched Mallory when she was nominated because she didn't want to be tainted by association. Now, that was a long time ago. Obviously, they came back together again. But other players, including the icons, noticed it.
[00:51:13] [SPEAKER_08] Did it impact how they dealt with her going forward? It might have because who would want to align with someone like that? And that was a completely self-imposed mistake because she flat out told Mallory things like, well, I'm not going to use the veto on you and I can't trust you with certain information. Why cause a rift when it might be moot, which it was. And then another unnecessary time that she did something like this, we didn't actually see, but we heard about it.
[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_08] In the Old West HOH comp, when they had to do those sliders on the table as a duo, she initially teamed up with Devin's. But then she realized, I guess there was the rules were changing as it went along. She realized that she would be working with him, not against him. And they had to do some sort of redo because of a technical issue. So she dropped him. Now, this obviously, this didn't make the edit. We only know about it because Devin's was like, what the hell was that all about?
[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_08] And it did not make him feel good about her. And between that and Mallory, okay, now you have a habit of dropping people. She did apologize later, but the damage was done. Then we talked in the first rule about how she caused antagonism with the icons rather than trying to work with them. Pulling stunts like this was part of it.
[00:52:31] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. And then she gets to that point where she's kind of unapologetic about it too. Like, you know, scheme and plot, but keep your plotting secret, right? And it's like, you come to her, you're like, I'm not going to, I'm not going to fake it. I can't fake it. I'm sorry. I'm not going to do that. Oh yeah. It's like, hey, hey, that's actually the opposite way of how you should be playing this game. You should be faking it. You should be lying. You should be scheming. Um, and you, these people should not know it. They should not know that you have this target on these people so much, you know, maybe it
[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_09] does benefit you to your allies for them to know where you stand, but the ops should know that they're your ops. You're supposed to come and get them when they least suspect it, you know? Uh, and so to watch her kind of scheme and plot ineffectively, but then when she does go out on them to do something, it's just like, it's so wild and, um, abrasive or off-putting that people are like, oh, I don't even think I could work with her. Um, so it's, uh, I don't want to say like, we like, oh, we tell her she's doing it too much, but then she didn't do it.
[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_09] It's like, no, pick your spot, pick your spot and do it and commit just like this. This is like this half again, half-ass attempts for me. I think a lot of her game is just half-baked.
[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. Another issue for her was later in the game when she and Mallory had been in what seemed to be a good position with FAP and Mosh Pit, along with the potential ability to swing over to Yash and Taylor and Lala side. And I mean, your description of her half-assing it perfectly explains what happened here because they had been solidly anti-Kamu, but then they let Yash get in their heads and started wavering about the vote when it should have been simple.
[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_08] They eventually came down on the right side, but the way they had acted was publicly known and it damaged their position with almost everybody else. You can't be wishy-washy. You can't half-ass it like that and still expect people to trust you on either side.
[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_09] And then she goes to get worse. She gets worse. You would think this would be like, okay, like obviously it doesn't get any worse than this. All that hollering, you know, like now I got to let the Southern out. All that hollering in the background that y'all be doing backstage and all in the diary room and stuff like that. People can hear y'all. People can hear you. It was in the episode. Mallory goes home and I think Angela says, is that Melody screaming? It's like, hey, Melody, how about don't let everybody know that you hate them? How about don't do that?
[00:54:54] [SPEAKER_09] I get it. There are emotions involved in the game, but that's the game. Hide your emotions. It was that. That will always be like, because I think it's probably the most entertaining part about her game though. These just like guttural screams, but it's so bad for the game. It doesn't, it doesn't help you at all when people think, well, do I have a better working relationship with this person or that person? Is it the person who's been in here pretending to be nice or is it a person downstairs hollering like a banshee? You know, I wonder which one I'll go with.
[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. Now, you know, who wasn't ever wishy-washy?
[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_10] D.
[00:55:30] [SPEAKER_08] You know, at least until Drew asked her about that final two stuff, as we mentioned last rule. Yeah. But that was a different issue. And similarly, D had much different issues in this rule because as I noted earlier, it was a biggie for her throughout the game. And I think most of her errors in the game were unforced errors and most of them can be found in this rule. It's hard to know where to start here. Maybe the best place is at the Lyric and Melody vote where she and the rest of Red Corner had
[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_08] planned to take out Melody. But then she just decided, nah, let's flip it. Part of it was she didn't like Thog and company acting like they were in control and she wanted to show them who the boss really was. You know, part of it was that, as she told Julie after being evicted, if there was a vote that everyone agreed on, maybe it wasn't the right thing to do. And then another part of it was probably that she was bored.
[00:56:27] [SPEAKER_08] She, Devens, and Angela were planning to break up with Chagmu at some point anyway. So she figured she'd just hurry things along. And boy, did she. But that meant breaking up an alliance that could have controlled the game for a long time to come, which is not something you typically want to do as a member of that alliance. And we saw time and time again, she would work her way out of a hole that she dug for herself.
[00:56:55] [SPEAKER_08] But there was no reason to dig the hole to begin with.
[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_09] Big brother strategy to me, the optimal strategy is so boring. Right. It's so boring. You build a big alliance. You win the challenges. You isolate the people at the bottom, but you make them feel like they're with you. And then they go home one by one because they never take the shot because they're too busy fighting each other. And it's boring. And there's no question about what's happening every week because all of your allies are winning everything. We saw that with the cookout. We saw that with Cody Calafiore's second win.
[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_09] We saw, I mean, second time playing in All-Stars. We saw that with Derek and the Bomb Squad. We saw, you know, that is the boring way to win. But those are all elite games of big brother. Those are top tier games of big brother. But they're so boring. Dee got in that house and was in a position to play a top tier game of big brother. And she got bored.
[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_09] And she got bored so many times where we would just be watching through the week as like things would happen and things would unfold. And then we think, OK, well, this is pretty straightforward. We got it now. And then Wednesday shows up. And, you know, survivors love a right wise Wednesday. You know, so that Wednesday hits and the wheels start turning. Like, what if we do something crazy? What if we just...
[00:58:11] [SPEAKER_08] Sometimes not even Wednesday. Sometimes she would be like, we're going to wait past Waffle Wednesday to Thursday.
[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, it's the day of the eviction. Let's make our decision at Tribal Council. Hey, this is not Survivor. But Dee acted like it was week after week after week. And so when it should have been so normal, the game should have been so mundane. It should have been so boring. You had so many advantages. This should have been a march to the end. And you know what? The fandom thought it was going to be. There were times where people were livid. This is so rigged, boring, da-da-da-da-da. It's a steamroll. It's a steamroll. They've been saying it's a steamroll since week two. And you know who stopped the steamroll? Dee.
[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_09] The person in charge of the steamroll took it completely off the rails and said, you know what? Have a steamroll. Let's do something fun. Even in our exit press, Julie says, hey, is there a reason why you were doing XYZ? She's like, yeah, I got boy. What do you know? She said, I thought it was fun to put myself in tight positions and then see if I can get myself out. What is wrong with you? Are you okay, madam? Are you okay? I'm telling you, there's a shark inside of that lady and she likes to play the game.
[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_09] And it doesn't have to be great gameplay because it definitely was not. If she broke any rule, this one right here, number one on the reasons why Dee will never be at the top of my big brother rankings as far as gameplay. Now, ability, that's a different question.
[00:59:32] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, exactly. Exactly. And, and yeah, I'm trying to think of an example of like a person who likes to put themselves in difficult situations just to see if they could get out of it. It sounds like what a movie character would say. Yeah. Why did you climb that? Why did you climb Mount Everest? Because it was there. You know, why did you, why did you're, you're, it really does sound like a movie character. Like you're an ultra wealthy billionaire. Why are you robbing banks? Because I'm bored. You know, I want to, I want to see, I need, I'm a thrill seeker.
[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_08] And I really think that's Dee. She's like, yeah, I could have won the game with a steamroll, but you know, I wanted to see what would happen this way. Stamina. Right. One of the result, one result of her flipping that one vote and others was Yash nominating her. He thought she was too untrustworthy and it didn't help that he was close to Kamu at the time. And, you know, Kamu was in his ear.
[01:00:27] [SPEAKER_08] Like I said, she got out of it, but in that case, it costs Devin's, his diamond power of veto. We don't know what would have happened if he hadn't had that or had decided not to use it on her based on other things she's gotten out of. I mean, I'd have to go back and look at the tape, but you know, I feel like she'd have found a way out of it, but she didn't have to because I mean, she did in effect find a way out of it through her alliance with Devin's.
[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_08] But getting someone else to use something like that on you instead of keeping it for themselves is huge.
[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. She, she was not afraid to take the big swings to make the moves, but sometimes she was doing them to her own detriment. You know, it was like, it's like, uh, you're, you're gaining so much capital, but you're spending so much as well. And you're spending so much and you're spending so much capital and you're spending to where yeah, she should have lost weeks ago. So, you know, uh, you did the why, uh, why Jag lost a podcast cause he, he got voted out, you know, obviously lost. Yeah. Why Jag would have lost. We could have definitely done a why D would have lost because why did you do that? No, seriously. Why did you do that?
[01:01:28] [SPEAKER_09] Why, why did you put yourself in a position where Devin's has to use the diving power of Vita on yours, on you? You did that to you. Nobody else did that to you. You were obviously somebody who needed to go on the block. It would have been crazy for them to not do it. And, you know, as, as critical as people have been about not targeting the icons, the reason why is because look at how y'all are playing. Y'all are playing so reckless. So like, just, just throwing all caution to the wind at different points just because you could. And it was like, have you ever thought about should you could, you know, have you thought about if you should, you know?
[01:01:57] [SPEAKER_09] And for, for D there were definitely times where she would just decide to tank her game, but it's the skill level that she has to bring herself out of the muck to where Drew was actually like, well, I don't want to lose the D either. You know, like by now people should be looking at D how people were kind of looking at Vince, you know, like, all right, this, this lady's like, she's backstabbed us all. She doesn't, she has no loyalty us all. We know we'll probably beat her. Who knows? She probably won't get the votes. No, she was still a viable option toward the end.
[01:02:26] [SPEAKER_09] And so, yeah, I think this lady's, I will go on record. D scheme didn't plot it too much, even though she managed to avoid a lot of the downside to that. Yeah. Right.
[01:02:38] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Look at you over here, quote, in Jurassic Park, you did it because you could.
[01:02:43] [SPEAKER_09] Everything about should you, if you should. Yeah, exactly.
[01:02:47] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. I mean, and the thing is, she just kept right on doing things like that. It's hard to choose only a few examples. There's so many. You're going to try. Yeah. Mid-August, he decided to intentionally plant seeds to Mallory against Drew by using things he had said about her just to see what would happen. Well, what happened was that Mallory told Barrett, who told Drew, who was pissed off.
[01:03:15] [SPEAKER_08] This may have been the maddest that Drew got. I don't know. There were a couple of times Drew was mad because he told Barrett, why would you say that? Just be normal. And Barrett replied, yeah, she didn't have to do that. It actually made Drew confront her. She could have actually lost her trust then. I mean, if it were ever possible for that to happen with Drew prior to the Final Four. But I do think that may have been the closest when she revealed that information.
[01:03:45] [SPEAKER_08] But trust with Drew was a big issue that followed her throughout the game. As in, she kept losing it. She kept losing trust in him for no reason. At some point, she got infected by Angela's paranoia. And even though she would sometimes be the one calming Angela down, otherwise, or other times, she would pick it up herself. Probably the biggest situation for this was when she was HOH in late August.
[01:04:11] [SPEAKER_08] And instead of trusting her summer-long ally, Drew, she believed the lies that Yash fed her. She took this information and did like a meet the Fockers type of grilling, thinking that she would catch Drew in a lie. The problem was she didn't have one of those polygraphs. I mean, not that they really work or they're scientific.
[01:04:36] [SPEAKER_08] But if she did, and if they did work, she would have found out that Drew was being honest and loyal, just as he had been with her all game long. But no, she told the cameras, well, maybe I'll look stupid if I'm wrong. But she believed Drew had been against her all season. As she talked to the camera, I yelled at my computer that if he had been against you,
[01:05:03] [SPEAKER_08] he would have been actually doing things to cause you problems. Instead, he's been fixing problems for you.
[01:05:09] [SPEAKER_09] And the Drew thing is why she, I mean, this is why we're having the conversation. Because Drew is the person who will ultimately be the person sending her out of the game. So if your stock is going up in Drew, and then you do stuff to piss him off, your stock falls with Drew, and you try to bring it back up, but then it falls again. And it's going up and down, up and down and up. So when Drew has to look back at his portfolio, he says, man, this is a volatile stock. You know, this is crazy. I don't know what it's going to do. I can't count on it to be consistently rising.
[01:05:38] [SPEAKER_09] I can't count on this person to take me to the final two. Next to Devin's, whose stock, although it has had its ups and downs, it has not been as, you know, rough as what has happened with D. And so he goes back and he looks over that in his mind. He's thinking, how do I make my decision? People are going to remember these things, D. You know, that's what I was like. When I say this woman's kingdom plot too much, what are you doing? You need this man at one point. You might need him to take you to the final two.
[01:06:08] [SPEAKER_09] That, you know, all that information got back to him. You're not going to think he doesn't remember that time you interrogated him. You know, these things that you say are getting around the house. It's big brother. They always do. But you're providing that ammunition for no reason whatsoever. And so, yeah, in the end where it looks like, yeah, Drew should very obviously pick Devin's to get out of here because Devin's is the front runner. Drew still needs to make it to the final two. And he's thinking, yeah, I can't trust D because she's shown me so many times that I couldn't trust her.
[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. And, you know, one big problem was that throughout the whole summer, she often relied on her gut and it was wrong a high percentage of the time when it came to Drew. She thought he was against her when he was literally doing everything he could to help her. At times, because of her gut, she allowed her unfounded suspicions of him to completely override logic. There were times I was yelling like, stop listening to your gut, listen to your brain.
[01:07:05] [SPEAKER_08] But I mean, like there were times there were there was actual evidence showing he was loyal, but that didn't conform to what her gut told her. She looked for anything she could find to undermine him. It was a perfect demonstration of confirmation bias. She had a feeling, so she went looking for anything she could to justify it while ignoring contrary evidence. Her mind was already made up or should I say her gut was already made up.
[01:07:33] [SPEAKER_08] And then she cherry picked what she wanted to believe. Her most egregious error in this rule was probably the decision to turn on Mallory just a week after bringing her into the mosh pit alliance. And part of that, again, goes back to these gut feelings. By doing that, she helped cause Barrett to flip against her and the other icons. As much as Angela gleefully blamed Barrett's move for his own demise,
[01:08:01] [SPEAKER_08] we already knew she was wrong because we talked about it over the course of the past two weeks. Then when Devins later told Dee that he didn't think she understood how upset Barrett and Drew were at her, she responded, no, I do. I do. I don't care. Now, was she being a little snide? Yes. But there was a hint of truth to it as well, because as she acknowledged to Mike Bloom, I gave space for Devins to be the good cop and I'd be the bad cop.
[01:08:30] [SPEAKER_08] Dee, you don't want to be the bad cop in this situation.
[01:08:34] [SPEAKER_09] No, no. You should have let Devins think you were the bad cop and then ultimately been the good cop. But, you know, I think being a bad cop is fun. I think that's you. Everybody wants to be the heavy. You know what I'm saying? You come in and you're like, I'm laying down the law. But I think the thing that frustrated viewers watching Dee was that she would do these things. And then when the minority or the people outside of her, you know, immediate plans,
[01:09:01] [SPEAKER_09] when they rise up to fight back like Barrett, oh, look, it's the consequences of my own actions. You know, she's walking around the house like I'm going to ruin this kid's life and all kinds of stuff. Clearly just talking a lot of smack. But at the same time, Dee, why are you there? Why are you in this position? It's because you did this. You did not have to do that. Barrett was such, such a Dee just like, like follower. He, they were so good. We watched them for weeks just being like chilling, just laid up, hanging out, cuddling even.
[01:09:29] [SPEAKER_09] At some, at some people, at some point, people thought there might be showmance coming for the two of them. Because we watched them so much be so close. Why would you do somebody you're so close to like that? And then be upset with them when they go and do the things against you. Now, don't get me wrong. There are definitely moments where she kind of, all right, smoke, dust is clear a little bit. He's doing what he needs to do for his game. I don't blame him. But at the same time, you are the, you are the person who is now have to fight tooth and nail to stay in the game because you put yourself in this position.
[01:10:00] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. All right. I think we can move on to the third rule. Like I said, you know, there's a lot of examples we could go here, but we, you know, we only have so much time. The third rule talks about the need to be flexible. Now, I acknowledge it almost seems silly to ask you this, but how do you think Melody did in this rule?
[01:10:20] [SPEAKER_09] Oh my God. No, no, no. Like, you know, just insert what I said about Mallory to Melody, you know, just like the idea that you could get in your little FAP alliance and just stay there and just kind of be comfortable in there, but actually not wield any power and not, uh, not try to get any when you had the opportunity to get it. And then when you were adjacent to the power, you didn't really do anything to further yourself in the game because you were so insulated in this little box of FAP.
[01:10:47] [SPEAKER_09] Um, now that said, uh, as the game gets, you know, willed down a little bit more now she's faced with, okay. The closest person I am in the house with is drew, but also he's been a scumbag to me all season, but I can't shake them. You know, we were looking at her like, well, why would you put drew on the block? He's probably most likely to take you to the end. But why, well, again, Melody, why are you in this situation where the showman that you're with, you can't even trust, you know, this is, um, you know, go back to Dan Giesling and, uh, BB 14.
[01:11:16] [SPEAKER_09] But I mean, Dan Giesling has Danielle Murphy in a, in a blender, the entire, in the entire game, you know, he's blindsided her left and right, taking out her showman, taking out this person. And guess what? She's still right there about to take them to the final two. At some point you're like, Hey, what's not clicking. You can't count on this person. But she put herself in a situation where he's the only person that she could count on. She's stuck. She's in this relationship with this man. And I'm not talking about a, you know, obviously romantic relationship, but I'm talking about a work relationship and a strategic relationship with somebody who she cannot trust, but he is her number one ally.
[01:11:46] [SPEAKER_09] If you can't trust your number one ally, what are you doing? And so for me, yeah, you're number one. You should have other allies. Have you tried getting other allies? Have you tried keeping those people? Have you tried working against this man who you clearly cannot deal with? Sure. She gave it an attempt. The time where she, her and Barrett are like, we're done with Drew. He can go. But then they fell right back into the Drew. You know, she's next thing you know, we're like, yeah, she can't put Drew on the block. The same Drew that last week they were trying to blindside. Okay, sure.
[01:12:15] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. You know, your mention of Dan makes me think, you know, she, she should have called in like an army of, of different people to help her or something like that. Something like that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, I obviously agree. You know, she was not flexible. She had FAP and yep, that, that, that, that was it. She wasn't interested in talking to anyone outside of them. When she knew Drew and Barrett were lying to her, she still stuck with them and only them.
[01:12:43] [SPEAKER_08] And you just can't do that in big brother and expect to win. Um, now on the flip side, it also seems kind of silly to ask this question for D, but I'll do it anyway. Uh, well, how do you think she did in terms of this rule?
[01:12:57] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. D is doing everything. She's a, she's a hot mess. I've landed on chaos demon as the, as the description I'm going to use for, uh, for D because yeah. Yeah. Flexible chaos, chaos demon. Yeah, exactly. That should have been her BB comic because this woman is just choosing violence for no reason. I guess you can call it flexibility. I don't even know if I want to call it that recklessness is what I would call it. You know, like, yeah, she has, she has the ability to work with everybody when it suits her.
[01:13:26] [SPEAKER_09] But I think her downside is that when it doesn't suit her, you mean nothing to her, you know, like, you know, D will throw you to the wind and then just bet on herself to be able to get you back when she needs you the most. And for some reason it was effective. It shouldn't have been, it should not have been right. When these people burned D, they should have, she should have lost them forever. They should have been willing to work with her obviously because they need to be flexible. But when it comes time to cut her throat, these people should be like, well, it's time. It should not have come to this.
[01:13:53] [SPEAKER_09] It should not have come to the final four with D, I mean, with Drew having to choose between his dad and his sister. You know, this, there are so many opportunities for these people to paint a picture that D is the big bad wolf. And they just couldn't do it because she was willing to work with people when they needed her most. You know, even the, even this relationship with Taylor, it pops up out of nowhere. Her and Taylor, they had the honest society. They immediately backstabbed them. And then the rest of the game, it's very clear that they don't really mesh. They don't seem like they're really good friends or anything.
[01:14:23] [SPEAKER_09] Could have fooled me this week. You know, her up in the HOH room, they drinking wine and listening to music. D, where did this come from? I guess it's her flexibility. But again, throughout the season, it's shown that she is flexible, but almost to her detriment.
[01:14:38] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. I mean, as inflexible as Melody was, D was once again, her opposite. She was always willing to jump around. I think at some point she was probably aligned with pretty much every player in the game, except maybe Ashley. Ashley, only because Ashley didn't last long enough to. But like you just said, and like we talked about in rule two, she could go overboard with it.
[01:15:01] [SPEAKER_08] I think it's still usually better to be too flexible than as inflexible as, as we saw Melody being.
[01:15:10] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, I agree. Because here's the thing. They both went out the same week, but Melody didn't go out because she was going to win. And yeah, I won't talk about that in a couple of weeks. Exactly. Right. That's not why she went out. D is going out here as a legitimate threat to win the game. And that just goes to show you that even though your results might vary, you know, your placement doesn't dictate who you are as a big brother player and what your skills are. But we look at the skill set that you have and flexibility just happens to be one of the ones that will benefit you more times than not.
[01:15:41] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, that's an argument I frequently get in more often with survivor because like people were arguing with me like, well, Joe is obviously a good survivor player because he got to the end both times. No, Joe is a terrible survivor player who got to the end because he was a goat who was dragged there. So, yes, placement does not dictate how good a game you played. The fact that they went out back to back does not mean they were almost equal in their abilities by any stretch of the imagination.
[01:16:11] [SPEAKER_09] Joe catching strays, huh?
[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, yeah. Always.
[01:16:15] [SPEAKER_09] Joe, I love you. I love wherever you are. You know, you got a Chappelle as a fan. But I think I think Joe even looks back on Survivor and says maybe I'm not that good.
[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_08] We won't get into that here.

[01:18:30] [SPEAKER_08] Let's go into the fourth rule, which says players should not let their emotions control them. Now, certainly, I don't think we ever saw Melody getting emotional in any way, right? Or heard.
[01:18:41] [SPEAKER_09] I just, I don't know. Man, this is crazy. You know, just. This is, I think her whole game is emotion. I think she is emotion. The game, the game she played is not logic-based. There are definitely things that, like, she hears the right answer and then she goes with something that she feels a lot of times. And don't get me wrong, being emotionally intelligent is definitely a benefit in the game. You know, being locked into other people emotionally. And she definitely was able to make those bonds with the people that she wanted to make those bonds with. But, I mean, the people who she didn't want to make it with,
[01:19:11] [SPEAKER_09] they knew where they stood with Melody at all times. You know, and if you didn't know, you were going to find out because you were going to hear her screaming about it. You know, in the other room. You know, even with Drew, like I said, logically, should have thrown this man to the wolves a weeks ago. You should have been actively working against them. You heard Yasha. The moment Angela told Mallory and Melody that, oh, well, we have been working with Drew and Barrett for weeks. I think Mallory and Melody should have went to Yasha and them and been like,
[01:19:40] [SPEAKER_09] listen, you know, hey, whatever happens this week, you got us. Just know, you know, like, we we we we we gonna work with you because this is not what I do. We're not doing this anymore. But she got wrapped up in her. Will they won't they show me? It's, you know, as well. I think if I'm Melody by the end of this game, I'm not rooting for Drew personally. That's a me thing, right? Like if I if I can outline all the things, if I know or I've seen the things that I've seen throughout the game, I'm like, yeah, you're not the person that I would be voting for.
[01:20:09] [SPEAKER_09] But in the last seconds, David, we get the slow motion. She leaves the house. She's in tears. What is she going to do here? She goes out the door. But then she comes back. Oh, she comes back. Oh, she came back. And then the music starts swelling. And then she's like, oh, my God, I'm going to do it for you, Melody. Because she's like, like, Melody, wake up. You were going to blindside this man a week and a half ago. This man was the ops. This man is not is not. Hey, come back. Come back. Yes. Maybe one day y'all will get married.
[01:20:38] [SPEAKER_09] We've seen big brother relationships go off and like and be the relationships of the summer. Then also of a lifetime for some of these people. Maybe that's you. But did that serve you in the game?
[01:20:49] [SPEAKER_08] I don't think it did. Yeah. Well, luckily, neither of us rolled our eyes, you know, or no, no, no, no. We support it. Support it. Drewly for life. Yes. Right. Melodrew. Melodrew. Yeah. Um, I mean, yeah, obviously, Melody got extremely emotional in the house. Look, some of it. I can't blame her. She got angry. She got sad. Fine. But as we alluded to in the first rule, some of that energy needed to be focused.
[01:21:14] [SPEAKER_08] Maybe most of that energy into actually making game moves, not just complaining what was happening around you. Screaming at the top of your lungs may feel good for a moment. It's not going to help keep you around.
[01:21:29] [SPEAKER_09] No. And, you know, with Angela and the Drew thing, remember, Angela's like, oh, what about you and Drew? Okay. Angela pulls out the creepy old woman out of her back pocket. And Melody is like, ah, I don't like that. And don't get wrong. Melody could have all the boundaries she wants. But maybe use that. Oh, Angela. I love him so much. Why don't you help me? Well, we should be a we should work together. Yeah. Angela is giving you something. She's literally saying like, hey, let's talk about this thing.
[01:21:59] [SPEAKER_09] And Melody's like, ew, gross. I don't want to talk about it. Hey, you might need that lady's vote one day. You might need her influence. Maybe she'll say some kind things about you. Maybe even better. Maybe she'll be Drew's ops. Maybe, you know, like you can pull Drew away from Angela because Angela has been pushing Drew away all season. So maybe there's a moment where you say, yeah, I really want to go all in with him, but I can't trust him. What should we do? You know, maybe like, oh, yeah, you should tell D that this guy sucks and that I want to be with him. And he doesn't want to be with like use this to your advantage.
[01:22:28] [SPEAKER_09] And she was like, no, I don't like the way she's talking. I don't like how she's doing it. So I'm going to go and I'm going to complain about it. And it's going to probably get back to her later on. And then I won't be able to get a vote. And so it's like, hey, there are moments where you are being emotional. You know, and I can definitely understand that I've never lied and said I would be good at this game because my emotions are like, I'm very happy. And then I hate you, you know? And so for me, it's not for me, but you're in the game. You have to be able to do the things that we cannot do. And that is put your emotions to the side to make something happen or use your emotions wielded like a weapon.
[01:22:58] [SPEAKER_09] And she didn't either.
[01:22:59] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. I mean that, you know, the whatever Mance withdrew, I mean, it clearly altered her game for many different reasons. She would spend hours at a time with him. Like you said, the other players were like, they're going at it. You know, she kept coming back to him even after he had done something to hurt her game. And it just, we already talked about being seen as a duo helped get her evicted.
[01:23:25] [SPEAKER_08] It just, I was going to say nothing good came out of it. We don't know. Like you said, maybe they'll go off and get married in the game for her. Nothing good came out. She couldn't trust his man.
[01:23:38] [SPEAKER_09] She couldn't trust her. You know, in these last few weeks, I think me and Maggie, Maggie were talking, Maggie was talking about it on the, one of the updates or something. And she was saying she should have him wrapped around her finger by now. You know, like just with as much emotional labor as she has put into that connection that they have with how much he's burned her in the game. She should, at least he should be in debt to you. You know, he should owe you something. And she's like, he has nothing like that. You know, he wants to take her because he knows he can beat her.
[01:24:08] [SPEAKER_09] But emotionally he's torn between, you know, do I, you know, do I go here? Do I go there? He definitely knows the correct move is keep Melody around, but it's not because, oh, you know, I feel like I owe this to her. It's because I know that she can be beaten. And she's not, she has nowhere else to go. I feel like Melody, you should have that same pull on him. You know, he's, he's really working you emotionally, but are you getting anything out of this exchange to further your game? Not really.
[01:24:35] [SPEAKER_09] And if you can sit at the end and say, yeah, I dragged Drew here. Like he should have got rid of me or he, I had him cut his dad in the game. I had him cut his sister in the game all for me. You know, then I think people could give you credit for that when you sit in front of a jury. We got to the final four and we were like, I mean, the final five, final six, and we're raking our brains. Can Melody win the game? And I just think at this point, there should be some question of, maybe if you're on a cop run, then you got it. But I even think then people are still going to be questioning how much pull Drew had over her to make her make those decisions.
[01:25:05] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. All right. So once again, we'll, we'll switch to a very different, a very different person here. How do you think D did here?
[01:25:16] [SPEAKER_09] You know, chaos, D, that's what she is. There were, there were the logical things in her head and those were a lot of times to correct answer. But then, you know, we've been, we've been kind of talking through this all season about like, what, what are the, what defines an emotion? Right. Cause we landed on ego was definitely a driving force for a few people throughout this season for D. I think a little bit of that definitely is hubris for sure. I don't know if that's an emotion, but you know, she, she really could bet on herself and say like, I just feel like I can just make these things happen.
[01:25:44] [SPEAKER_09] Cause I can, uh, I don't know if boredom is an emotion, but that's definitely something that made a lot of her decisions for her. Uh, and then I think that, you know, that paranoia that she would have from Angela, I think it wasn't rooted in logic. A lot of times there was nothing that they were using. They would just come up with these ideas out of nowhere, um, to say that Drew was working against them and it will really drive their actions for the week. Um, we saw the way that she acted with Barrett when he did her thing. Like, you know, she's like, she's, D's not afraid to start a fight at the table and argue and stuff like that.
[01:26:14] [SPEAKER_09] That said, all of those things considered when it's time to lock in and save yourself, I'm betting on D every time I'm betting on D. Yeah. These are emotional responses that she's having and they're not great. But then when she needs to make sure she's not the one on the block or she's the one who's being saved, she's going to make sure Devin's use that, that veto on her. She's going to push when she needs to push. She's not going to push when she thinks it's too much, but Devin's is going to use that, that veto on her every time, uh, when she's on the block against Angela, she loves Angela to death.
[01:26:44] [SPEAKER_09] She's like, I love Angela, but I ain't going home in front of, instead of Angela. Same thing with Devin's. I love Devin's, but I am going to push. I am going to push. And so, although like this week she definitely let, uh, she took her foot off the gas a little bit too much. Um, but in the past we've seen it, we've seen her working against her ally. To save herself the same way we saw Kamu switch, switch gears and completely turn on the red corner. D was able to do that as well, despite the emotions that she was feeling in the game.
[01:27:11] [SPEAKER_09] So yeah, I can't say that her emotions weren't making her do some wild things, but she was able to kind of shake them off when she needed to the most.
[01:27:19] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. I looked at it a different way. I mean, all those things, you know, everything you mentioned, absolutely true. I looked at it more the focus, like controlling your emotions for the game. And of course she has the advantage of having played three prior seasons of reality TV. Even in her first season, we saw the way she handled this rule. I went back to my YD one podcast in this rule. I said, D gave us a masterclass here. Yes.
[01:27:48] [SPEAKER_08] She was obviously in a showmance with Austin, but she didn't let it interfere with her game. And that's the key. Austin asked her to not tell Julie about the blind side, but she determined it was better for her game. So she did on the flip side. She knew Austin would tell Drew about somehow I'm mixing my things in here. She knew Austin would, but yeah, so she, you know, or what? No, sorry. The other drew God.
[01:28:18] [SPEAKER_08] Okay. There's a lot of drills. Did I quote this wrong? Did I put it? No. Yes. She knew Austin would tell survivor Drew about that blind side. So she specifically kept him out of the loop. As D told Mike Bloom, we would flirt, we'd hug, but our heads were in the game. And that continued here. I would say most of the time, not the flirting part.
[01:28:43] [SPEAKER_08] You know, she didn't do a whole lot of that except a little bit with Barrett, but just keeping her head in the game. Even when she was apparently fuming mad, she was often playing it up. Viewers were complaining about the icons being big babies when Barrett nominated them. But at least for D, a lot of it was acting like when she would tell us that, or she would tell Angela Barrett made a good move.
[01:29:10] [SPEAKER_08] You referenced this earlier, but then she would turn around and tell Barrett that it was terrible and she was so mad about it.
[01:29:19] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. She's using that emotion and leveraging that in Barrett's guilt. And we saw that Barrett's guilt is a lot of reason to me. That's how I, you know, that that's why he lost. You know, he's up there so guilty. He can't even come down and look these people in the face. And when he does, he starts crying. That's not because D is not inflicting emotional labor on him. You know, her and Devin's are. And you know, especially if you want to talk about an emotional bond that D is really able to manage, look at Devin's. That's her good friend. They bought through this. Like I said, they'll probably be lifelong friends after this.
[01:29:49] [SPEAKER_09] But throughout the game, we saw D being like, oh, I might cut Devin's, you know, if I need to. Or I might let somebody else cut Devin's if I need to. Matter of fact, I got an advantage. I don't think I'm going to tell Devin's. Devin's was telling D everything. And D was at times being like, I don't know if I'm going to tell Devin's everything. And I think that's really separating your emotional tie to this man from your game relationship. Now, ultimately, she did. She folded and she told him basically everything. But there were definitely weeks at a time where we thought, oh, is D keeping all of
[01:30:17] [SPEAKER_09] this to herself to wield it at the last second to bring it out so that she can win? And I think she honestly probably would have if she had made it to the final two with somebody like Devin's. She was locked into the game despite her emotional tie to that man.
[01:30:30] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. And the thing is, she could she could go in different directions with it. Like I just mentioned how she was acting like she was mad when she really wasn't as mad. Well, in the September 13th TV episode, she told Drew she wasn't mad at him for whatever it was that happened then, but then told us in the DR that she was raging inside, but was going to hide it. She could decide which emotions to show, which not to show.
[01:30:59] [SPEAKER_08] And that helped her in working through the game. She told Dalton Ross about Drew. One week he votes to evict me. The next week he votes to save me. Then the following week he votes to evict me again. And I never once took it personal. And I still don't. I freaking love the kid. Of course. Now, at the very end of the game, we've already mentioned this. We saw her emotions finally taking over a bit.
[01:31:25] [SPEAKER_08] She told Julie, she repeated in other interviews that even though she knew she would lose to Devin's, she wouldn't have been able to bring herself to cut him at the end. Now. We don't know that that's true. We can't judge because she was never actually faced with that $750,000 decision. It's easy to come out of a game and say, that was my close friend. I never would have cut them when you didn't actually have to make the choice.
[01:31:53] [SPEAKER_08] But we do have some evidence because Mike Bloom asked her, was there anything she could have done to save herself? And she said, maybe shit on Devin's game a little bit more. Kind of pin everything on him. Maybe I could have sat Drew down and been like, hey, these are Devin's game moves. Boom, boom, boom, boom. But I couldn't do it. My heart can't do that to Devin's because if there was a world where Drew were to cut Devin's in final three because of something I said, I don't want to be that person.
[01:32:23] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. That's her boy. Lifelong friends. Again, it happens to people in Big Brother all the time. It's super normal. But it's also a flaw. It's also a flaw. And you got to call it out. You should be at this point thinking about you. How are you going to get past this? If you had to lie to Drew and say all kinds of horrible things about Devin, you should have been willing to do that. Because we saw that when push kind of shove, when your back was against the wall, you have that speed to you. That's why you're sitting with Mike and saying the things that you could have done because
[01:32:52] [SPEAKER_09] you thought about it. You thought about it. You ignored it. You let your emotions kind of outweigh the logical decision in your head because you didn't want to hurt him or because you just couldn't see yourself doing them like that. And again, this is not something that I said I would ever be good at. But D, this is what you got to do to win Big Brother sometimes. And when this came up, she was not able to do it. But last season, Ashley and Morgan, despite where they are now, they were the best of friends by the end of that game. Wait, they're not friends now? I don't know. I don't know. I haven't really checked it out.
[01:33:22] [SPEAKER_09] They're probably quiet about it. Whatever it is, they're probably keeping it to themselves, you know? Yeah. I'm sure they don't ever post on social media. No, absolutely not. They're probably keeping that one close, you know, close to three of them. But when it came down to it, Ashley cut Morgan because she knew she had to. That's your good friend, your friend for life. You know, like I said, besties, they'll probably be in each other's weddings and all that kind of stuff. But she'd made the move, right? And I think that you got to be able to make the move. Tears in your eyes and everything. We saw Steve Moses, you know, throwing up over making the right move.
[01:33:52] [SPEAKER_09] He crying and, you know, falling apart because he knew he had to make the moves that he didn't think he was going to be able to make. You stand up there shaking with tears in your eyes. The people are watching you. You're on live TV. Julie's waiting for an answer. You have to be able to make that move. And you can't let your emotions get in the way.
[01:34:09] [SPEAKER_08] Right. Right. All right. Well, the fifth rule says players need to pretend to be nice and play the social game. And Melody was. Let's just say not great at pretending to be nice. She often said things outwardly that really should have stayed either in her head or in the DR, like literally on the survivor version of the poster for this rule. It shows Boston Robb only talking to the camera, talking crap to the camera. That is what you do.
[01:34:37] [SPEAKER_08] And but but no, she didn't. We already talked about her publicly ditching Mallory very early, swapping away from Devin's in that HOH camp. Those were strategic errors. That's why we talked about it at the time. But they were also social ones. And she made many more like talking all sorts of crap about Haley, which, hey, look, I endorse that generally. I have done it myself, but not openly in the game such that it would get back to her.
[01:35:03] [SPEAKER_08] She even later said in the DR that she could hear her mother screaming at her not to do that. Yeah. You could probably also hear me screaming at you not to do that.
[01:35:12] [SPEAKER_09] America screaming. We're all screaming. Everybody's like, Melody, what are you doing? Yeah. Kamu knows that Melody doesn't really like him, even though he's trying to do a thing like, all right, well, maybe we can keep you around. You know, Kamu knows Haley knows everybody who Melody didn't like. They were very aware of it. And she didn't try to fake it. And I think she kind of wore it as a badge of honor in the same way Thog did. Thog didn't try to fake it. You know, she's very much like, no, if she did, if she did try, it didn't even look like she was trying. So maybe that's a more of an indictment on her.
[01:35:42] [SPEAKER_09] But Melody had so many opportunities to pretend to be nice to these people. And I guess for her, again, I still think that she's a little shell shocked because she tried it the first week. She tried the first week to game. And I think she got her hand bit a little bit. You know, when she did, she's a lyric. She didn't think people were going to hold that against her. I mean, Mallory, she didn't think that people were going to hold that against her so much. And they did. And so it kind of made her a little bit of a pariah. And so she just kind of found shelter with the people that she didn't have to fake it with. And that ended up going a long way. She was able to fake it with her allies. When she was mad at lyrics, she's like, I should have pushed her in the face.
[01:36:13] [SPEAKER_09] And then she's like in her pod crying in her face. Girl, we sisters. We love you forever. Yeah. You're faking it right there. Why are you faking it with your allies and not with your enemies? Yeah. Yeah. Mute it. Still muted.
[01:36:30] Damn it.
[01:36:32] [SPEAKER_08] I don't know how that happened. Damn it. You mentioned Maggie Morgan on, you know, something she said a little while ago. In early September, she said on a podcast that one reason Melody had no influence in the game was her lack of social capital because she didn't even try with people that she couldn't fake it with. Around that same time on live feeds, Devin's also said Melody had no social game and would just break down when things didn't go her way.
[01:37:00] [SPEAKER_08] So yeah, it was, we saw it inside. People saw, or we saw it outside. People saw it inside.
[01:37:06] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, I agree. I just think that, you know, we, we can really boil her, her, her game down to just like, Hey, you got in the house, you got comfortable with these certain people. And then you really didn't allow yourself to game outside of them. And then the people that you didn't like, they didn't, they knew because you were just so in your safe place. Your, if you're a little fat box is what I'm going to call it for a little bit, but she, she stayed there. She stayed there for so long. And so while we're at the end, we're counting jury votes and we can't figure out the ones
[01:37:35] [SPEAKER_09] that Melody is going to get because she doesn't have any real relationship vibes. Normally you can go and say this person worked closely with this person. So they're going to get their vote. Right. So boom, let's give her Barrett. But does she get Drew? You know what I'm saying? Like, what are we doing? You don't even know if you're going to get your show, man. That's crazy to me.
[01:37:54] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. Now on the flip side, once again, D was very good socially. Mostly. We already talked about how she could hide her emotions or even play up emotions. She didn't have. This rule is largely about pretending to be nice. She extended it to pretending it to be mean as she was to Barrett after he nominated all three icons. You, you talked about this already. She was like, you'll regret it the rest of your life. She ignored him. She was short with him.
[01:38:24] [SPEAKER_08] She made him feel guilty. We talked last week about how he couldn't deal with the situation he hid in his HOH room. That allowed her to have plenty of time to lobby Yash and Taylor, to flip them to voting out Angela rather than her. In other words, pretending to be mean worked perfectly.
[01:38:45] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Pretending to be nice as well. You know, with the FAP alliance that she, you know, when they formed that alliance, I can't even remember what it was called. It's so fake. They end up bringing in the icons versus the mosh pit. When the mosh pits forms. They don't care about the mosh pit. They just need to make it through one round when the, um, when the honor society formed. They don't care about the honor society. They just need to make sure that Lala and Taylor don't put them on the block when they have the chance. And guess what they did? They did not put them on the block when they had the chance.
[01:39:14] [SPEAKER_09] Now there was definitely some work to put in from Devin's for sure to make sure that didn't happen. But Lala is like, okay, I don't want to target them because what if we can use that relationship later on, uh, to benefit us? And maybe it didn't benefit Lala, but some would say it may be, maybe it is benefiting Taylor at this point, right? Uh, to where D and Taylor have a bit of a working relationship to where now she found her final two goat. She doesn't need melody anymore. She would like to keep melody in the game, but I can go with Taylor if I need to, uh, you know?
[01:39:42] [SPEAKER_09] And so we saw what pretending to be mean and pretending to be nice do. I think pretending to be mean is really like a bonding thing. Uh, you know, shit talk. I think it just naturally, like, I'm sure there's like studies done on it for sure. But I think naturally, like you, you have a, a joint enemy, right? Uh, if you have an enemy in common.
[01:39:59] [SPEAKER_08] I use that all the time at work.
[01:40:00] [SPEAKER_09] It's a, I mean, it's such a, it's such a good tactic, right? Like we both hate the same person. At least we have this one thing in common. Uh, and so she's able to do that. She talks so much shit about the red corner, even though she was working with them, but she knew talking about the red corner was going to endear her to the other people. Cause guess what? Oh yeah. They're the worst. They're the worst. But then when she was with the red corner, she pretended like she liked them. She's Haley would have known that D was working against her. Kamu, Chuck, they didn't know. Uh, so that's what it all comes down to. Like, even though these people are not your long-term plans or that you don't plan on
[01:40:29] [SPEAKER_09] being best friends with them for life, they shouldn't know that, you know what I'm saying? You should, they should all be thinking that you're good with them and that if, if for some reason you do go home, at least you'd vote for them in the end.
[01:40:40] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. I mean, you know, that goes all the way back to day six, day six live feeds. She was telling Angela that she hated Haley and Chuck, but you got to play the game. And she did, you know, and I, I think most people think of Devon's when they think of social game. D was, he was fairly close there. She was Drew's big sister, even when she was suspicious of him. She was friends with almost everyone though, not quite all of them near in the end. She suddenly became besties with Taylor.
[01:41:10] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. It was, she could flip a switch. And now I do say I did insert a mostly when I said she was very good. Also again, because there were definitely some times when she forgot that not everyone thinks about these games the same way she does. Not everyone can as quickly shrug off being voted for or say, ah, it's just a game. And, and mean it. I don't think that it impacted her much in the game, but it certainly could have come back
[01:41:39] [SPEAKER_08] to bite her if she had made the final two.
[01:41:41] [SPEAKER_09] Absolutely. Uh, I think that she has the chaos demon in her and she's able to go into that D mode of like, I'm in the game and I've done this before. I played survivor. She's played survivor twice. Uh, you know, and so she knows how to compartmentalize it. She's had practice doing it. Um, but everybody's not you, you can't, you know, just assume that everybody will have the same level of gameplay or game awareness, or even there's like, or going to base their, their feelings and their emotions off the same things. So just because you're okay with those things happening to you and you can shake them off and you can cry about them and complain about them and then get back to where it doesn't mean everybody else can.
[01:42:11] [SPEAKER_09] And you can't treat everybody how you think you would like to be treated because we all, you know, have our different lived experiences. And sometimes D threw these people to the wind when she didn't need them. And it was very clear. Now, again, because D is so good at bringing people back in, she was able to do that when she needed to the most. Uh, but you shouldn't have people feeling like that in the first place, people should not be thinking that they're expendable to you. And there were so many people in the house that did, and it was, it was D's own actions that led her there.
[01:42:40] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, the sixth rule says not to be too much of a threat. And we've already, you know, been talking a bit about this throughout the podcast here, right off the bat with Melody. It's easy to say she absolutely was not one, at least not on her own. Nobody thought she was going to win at the end. And that could have been a good reason to keep her around. The problem was in the whatever man's I said in rule two.
[01:43:08] [SPEAKER_08] That she and Drew were the tightest duo in the house. Someone might argue that no, Devins and D were. And I could certainly see that point of view. But D had talked about cutting Devins at the end. And I don't think either Melody or Drew would ever have done that. Of course, part of that is that it could have been potentially advantageous for D to cut Devins. Certainly. It wouldn't have been for Drew to cut Melody. You talked about that earlier.
[01:43:38] [SPEAKER_08] And Melody wasn't beating anyone. So at that point, you might as well take Drew. Why not? And that is the problem when it becomes when it comes to being a threat. If the others had left her in the game, she becomes a potential issue in keeping Drew or Drew keeping her rather than one of the icons.
[01:43:57] [SPEAKER_09] Showmancers are largely beneficial in Big Brother and have been since the beginning of time. Since day one of Big Brother season two. Showmancers have been beneficial. We saw Dr. Will early on in the showmance. We saw Mike Boogie on in early showmance. And that only did that benefit them in the game to a certain extent. They also got them coming back for more seasons of TV. Lisa Donahue, the winner of the second season of, well, the second, you know, competitive season of Big Brother season three. She's in a showmance.
[01:44:25] [SPEAKER_09] You know, she ends up cutting that showmance because it had a huge target on her back. Season four was a season of showmances as well. So we've been doing this since day one. It's always been a thing. But with the showmance, give it then take it away. Right. So it gives you the power of, OK, now the two of us are able to enact our will on more people. We are you. We trust each other. And so we know we can go far into the game with each other and we don't have to worry about backstabbing each other. But it also puts a massive target on your back. Just ask Lyric and Rome.
[01:44:55] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. So to become a soldier, we come this huge target when there's a lot of other reasons to go in different. But this is the worst time to be in a tight two. It's the worst time because, of course, and then you can even hold it against anybody if they put you all on the block together. No one should be saying like even Drew. Drew's begging. Please don't put me on the block. Please don't put me on the block. Please don't put me on the block. Which he should be. But he knows that logically he wouldn't go to the end with a showmance. So right. Why would they?
[01:45:22] [SPEAKER_09] And so, yeah, Melody chose the worst part of the season to become the biggest threat on the board.
[01:45:28] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. And the thing is, even though it's, you know, happening now, it really the reasoning was thought of by players all the way back to like early August. Kamu was considering getting rid of Melody to ensure Drew stayed closer to him and the rest of the tool shed. Fast forward to this past week. Like we just said, that's almost the exact same reason. It just, you know, they don't learn. I mean, yes, there is power in a showmance.
[01:45:58] [SPEAKER_08] There is danger in a showmance. There is threat level in a showmance.
[01:46:02] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. And then I always talk about how you have to be beneficial to people for them to keep you around. Right. It's not only that you're a goat. You also have to be a goat that's not targeting them. And so they're looking at Melody like, oh, yeah, she might be a goat. But how does she help me? Is she going to win and keep me around? Probably not. But Drew might. Drew might actually win and keep me around if I'm Devin's. Drew might keep me around if I'm Devin. You know, she's like, all right, cool. Melody might not. I'm trying to get her to keep me around, but I don't know for sure.
[01:46:28] [SPEAKER_09] But Melody hasn't put herself in a situation where people do feel that that no matter what, if it comes down to it, she will choose them because Drew is right there. And so when they have to make the decision, it's between her and Drew. People are going to try to weigh the pros and cons. If we get rid of we keep Melody here, she's probably going to lose to one of us. But we also can't count on her to bring me to the final two. Whereas Drew, Devin's will always say that.
[01:46:53] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, I know that if I keep Drew here and it comes down to it, I'm probably his final two and might be right.
[01:47:00] Yeah.
[01:47:01] [SPEAKER_08] All right. Well, it seems almost silly to ask the question of whether or not D was a threat in the game. But, you know, Chappelle, we can't leave any stone unturned. So I'll go ahead and ask you, was D a threat?
[01:47:11] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. Since day one, minute one of the game, this woman is a threat. And yet here we are. You know, threat management is something that she excelled in. We talked about it earlier in the season. Matthew, me and you and one of the little pre talks we had, you know, at the beginning before we got to the rules. We're like, how is she getting away with this? How does D have you all thinking that this woman is dumb and doesn't understand how to play the game? It doesn't do like, oh, she's probably not going to get any votes. What are you talking about? This woman is working miracles in there to have you all thinking this way.
[01:47:40] [SPEAKER_09] And they were all falling for it and they were chirping these things throughout the house, throughout the game that made her look like, oh, OK, she's fine. Now, D definitely have her deficits in certain areas. Like she's awful at puzzles. Who knew? But everything else in the game should have alerted you that this woman is not somebody who I would count on to not, you know, to beat at the end. Like she's somebody who you need to get rid of earlier than not. And yet here we are at the final five when they finally get her.
[01:48:08] [SPEAKER_09] It's crazy to me that this is how long it took to get here. Right. Where we get to the point where it's the final four. We have no other options. We got to take out D, you know, man. Yeah. At this point, she's a threat. She's but she did it to herself, too. You know, she played up this. Oh, I'm not that good at the game. And it was working. But then she would do masterful things that would just pull the curtain down, you know, but you just peek through the mask a little bit. You're like, D is actually crazy. How did she do that?
[01:48:37] [SPEAKER_09] Why did she survive over Angela? Why did she survive over this person? How did she use this? How did she get able to do that? And then you start to put the pieces together and say, wait a minute. Maybe all the things that she told us was a facade. Maybe she's been lying this whole time. Maybe she didn't win Survivor by luck. Maybe she's actually good at the game. And I think once there were not a lot of people around, they started to see the forest for the trees. D is the one turning up the heat. Yeah.
[01:49:06] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. I mean, you said you said D is crazy. They literally had a comic that said D is nuts. D is nuts. She's insane.
[01:49:12] [SPEAKER_09] It was right there.
[01:49:13] [SPEAKER_08] It was right there. Yes. She was, of course, a threat from the moment she walked into the house. The nine icons should have been targeting her from the start. But like you said, she worked to reduce that. The playing dumb. All those things that we talked about and you just brought up. By this point in the game, it is shocking that not once, but twice, she was on the block for the vote and she survived.
[01:49:42] [SPEAKER_08] Yash and Taylor voting out Angela instead of her was a huge mistake. Drew voting out Yash instead was not, as we've seen with him winning comps ever since then. But in the first case, D was far, far more of a threat than Angela. You know, she was just less of one to Drew in particular compared to Yash. Now, of course, here we are at the pointy end of the game.
[01:50:06] [SPEAKER_08] D herself had said that the others would be stupid to go to the end with any of the icons. And it's true. But Drew couldn't get rid of both of them at once. He had to choose. Who was the bigger threat to his game? Devins promised to throw part of the HOH comp and take him to final two. He hesitated and he didn't trust her to do that. OK, well, then obviously he has his answer.
[01:50:35] [SPEAKER_08] Sure, it's easy to say he made the wrong choice because he absolutely loses against Devins and maybe has a chance against D. But that's not the whole picture. He decided he had a better chance of beating Devins for HOH, which could mean going with Taylor instead. Plus, Taylor will, of course, bring him rather than Devins, which does give him that chance of winning.
[01:51:00] [SPEAKER_08] Even if Devins wins HOH, even if Taylor beats him in the final vote, Drew wins $75,000 as a 22 year old. That is not bad for a summer job. No. And, you know, Drew's dad, Buzz, commented on one of my videos and agreed, saying, I really thought he should have evicted Devins. But after hearing some of these arguments, it does make a lot of sense.
[01:51:29] [SPEAKER_08] He still has a chance of the big money if it's Taylor, but at least hopefully he is guaranteed second for $75,000. So, yes, in the end, D was simply too much of a threat to Drew for both first and second place.
[01:51:44] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. And it doesn't help D when you were up there hanging out with Taylor, drinking wine. Like, you know, again, she just pulled the mask back just a little bit. And he's like, wait a minute, this person is working Taylor so hard that she doesn't realize how bad that makes her look to Drew. And Devins is pointing it out. You really think she's going to take you to the final two? She's up there drinking wine with Taylor. That's crazy. And Drew's like, oh, yeah, you're right. She's threat. Wow. I guess I got to get rid of her. So, yeah. Yeah. It is herself. Yeah.
[01:52:15] [SPEAKER_08] All right. Well, the seventh rule says to trust almost nobody. And over and over again in the early and mid game, Melody trusted Drew. And then he went against what she wanted. Yet, as we discussed, you know, she just kept coming back for more. I will say. Drew probably did have her interest at heart more than most others, but he also kept feeding information to her about or about her to D and the icons.
[01:52:43] [SPEAKER_08] He he couldn't stop himself from doing it any more than Melody could stop herself from coming back for more.
[01:52:49] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. You know, you got to trust somebody. I say this all the time. Like, I'm never going to I'm never going to, you know, just be like penalizing anybody for trusting somebody. You got to. You have to trust somebody. And she just threw her hat in the ring with the wrong people. You know, trusting Drew and Barry is like, you know, and they're working both sides. You know, that's tough. You made a you made a bad decision there. Trusting Mallory. That's perfect. Trust Mallory. All you want. But Mallory and you have to also do stuff. You have to go and work together. You have to go and win challenges when it's time.
[01:53:17] [SPEAKER_09] You don't throw them when it's time because the person that you trust, you should be looking out for each other when these other people are not. I think that, you know, like I said, I won't fault her too much for trusting Drew. But then when there are times where you're told not to trust Drew, when you see the things that he's doing, when again, when Angela's outing that they've been working both sides in front of you, when Ashley's coming to you and saying Drew is working with the icons and you're like, oh my God, that's crazy. That's happening. What are you going to do about it? You know, are you going to keep throwing all your trust to them?
[01:53:45] [SPEAKER_09] Are you going to stop telling them as much as you did? There were definitely moments where she had the good sense tonight, right? When her and Barrett are trying to work against Drew and they're really like, all right, we're done with him. But look how long it took. It took the Mallory thing. It took the Mallory thing, the Armageddon of the FAP Alliance before they were all like, all right, we can't do this with Drew. Um, but yeah, did you trust him too much? Absolutely.
[01:54:06] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. And you've gone to already, you just mentioned the other place where I wanted to bring up her foolishly trusting someone that she shouldn't have. And we've talked about it twice already in previous podcasts as well. She Mallory Barrett through the HOH comp to D they trusted D which allowed D to get rid of Mallory and really start the entire downfall of FAP. That was a huge pivot point in the game.
[01:54:34] [SPEAKER_08] Her game in, in, in, in particular, it never should have happened because she knew the mosh pit was not a final seven situation. She did not trust them or at least that's what she said. She knew the icons would come for them, but then she trusted D to at least not come for her that week.
[01:54:55] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Trust them too much. You know that you had no reason to trust them that much. You did. You were given a lot of reasons to not trust them that much. And then even if you did trust them, why not trust yourself to grab that, that power and then use it for whatever you want. I'm not saying you should immediately put up the icons at that point. If you felt like y'all had a working relationship, sure. But don't you want to at least guarantee yourself and your allies safety? Um, it'd be, it'd be nice to have safety. I mean, I'm sure Mallory wishes. I mean, we've talked, we've seen her talking about it outside the game. I'm sure she wishes she didn't throw that challenge.
[01:55:24] [SPEAKER_09] Um, you know, um, I'm sure Yash says he threw the challenge at the pressure cooker. I'm sure he's wishing he didn't, you know, these are moments where you got to trust yourself more than you got to trust these people that have given you multiple reasons not to trust them in the past.
[01:55:38] [SPEAKER_08] Yes.
[01:55:39] [SPEAKER_09] Yes.
[01:55:40] [SPEAKER_08] Uh, and for D there were certainly times when she trusted the wrong person. For example, when she listened to Yasha's lies instead of Drew's truth, like we discussed earlier, it all kind of washed out in the end. I don't know. Do you think there was anyone she trusted too much other than her gut, uh, that led to her demise in the game specifically?
[01:56:01] [SPEAKER_09] Not so much her demise in the game. Well, maybe like, I guess I could squint and be like, maybe she trusted Angela too much. I think that, you know, in her trust with Angela, they really did go down a lot of paranoia spirals and it caused them to play so recklessly. It caused them to turn on people and to lie to people and to begin to plant seeds here and there that they really didn't have to do. Uh, we saw Devin's multiple times being like, can you, yeah, why are y'all doing that? You know, like what, what is that?
[01:56:27] [SPEAKER_09] Uh, you know, not to say that he didn't also go down those paths sometimes too, but it was just happening so often in the early game that again, if D's looked at as someone who's not trustworthy at the end, you have to think about the things that you did to get yourself to the not trustworthy status. Um, you know, people look at Taylor and they know she's going to do what she says she's going to do, um, because she hasn't given them any reason to question it. Um, you know, with D, they have a lot of reason to question the things that she did because of the way she was acting. And it was a lot of time at the behest of other people.
[01:56:54] [SPEAKER_09] Um, you know, I think that, uh, Angela's her person who was able to put a battery in her back a few times. I think that she maybe gave Kamu a little bit too much information at different times. Kamu had a lot of ammunition against D when it was time to flip. Uh, it didn't work out again, but that's not due to D's doing that. That's the power of diamond power veto or whatever. But you know, she trusted the right people as well. Right. She trusted, uh, Devin's, uh, as much as she could. And you know, they, she even left herself an out for, if I can't trust them, I will be able to get rid of them. Right.
[01:57:22] [SPEAKER_09] Or I do want to keep people around who would cut him over me. So yeah, I won't say she trusted people too much, but there were definitely things that, you know, in her trusting people could have led to her ultimate, um, her ultimate demise, which is she wasn't looked at as a trustworthy person.
[01:57:38] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, now we can move into appendix a, which is about the jury phase of the game and deals with how players were doing and preparing to be at the end, as well as whether other remaining players did what they needed to, to get melody and D on their side and how they will impact the jury. As far as the first part, melody blew it. There was almost no way anyone except maybe Barrett was voting for her to win at the end if she had somehow made it.
[01:58:07] [SPEAKER_08] Um, I guess maybe if something had happened where they absolutely hated whoever she was up against, but that wouldn't have even been a vote for her. That would have been a vote against that.
[01:58:17] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Getting jury votes is not a, that's not a melody strength. That's not a, that's just not a, you know, people are going to be good at certain things. They're not going to be good at other things and getting jury votes is just not melody's thing. Now, now is melody able to sit next to somebody who, and maybe weaponize their, their icon status against them and say, well, you know, don't y'all want a newbie to win the game? Sure. Maybe, you know, we've seen crazier things happen. Not to keep going back to Dan Giesling, but you know, sometimes a jury will say, we don't want a returning player to win the game. And that's perfectly fine.
[01:58:47] [SPEAKER_09] But is that melody's doing, or is that just the design of the game and the jury? Um, so yeah.
[01:58:51] [SPEAKER_08] And would they have chosen melody? I mean, they might've said like, okay, we don't. There's a lot of an icon.
[01:58:57] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, yeah, exactly. Um, yeah, exactly. Right. Like you didn't break yourself like a, um, a jury threat at any point.
[01:59:06] [SPEAKER_08] Right. Right. Now for the second part, I think, uh, so this is where I disagree with some people. Um, I think melody is voting for drew to win in every circumstance. Okay. Uh, if it somehow ends up being devins and Taylor at the end, I'm not really sure how she'll vote. I also don't see a world where that happens. I truly don't. Uh, devins made a deal with drew to take him to final two.
[01:59:33] [SPEAKER_08] I do not think he's going to break that because he has no reason to know. He beats through at the end. Anyway. Why, why break that? At that point. Taylor knows she can't take devins to the end if she wins HOH. So I'm really not going to spend any brainpower figuring out who of those two melody would vote for, but I really do think, and maybe we'll talk about it more in predictions just based on the way she went out. She gave drew the hug.
[02:00:02] [SPEAKER_08] He called her back. She gave him the hug and said, win this thing. How do you do that? And then not vote for him to win this thing. I don't know how. And especially when she talked about in interviews, just some of the interviews that she's, she talked about. Yes. She didn't like his spinelessness in the game, but other things she said, just tell me she is voting for him.
[02:00:28] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. And I disagree. I think that he has to actively win this thing. I don't think she's saying we will give it to you if you make it to the end. I think drew needs to do something to win the game. I think she's telling him to go and make the move that people think you're not going to make. I think that her vote for drew is contingent on him making the big move. I think if he does it, first of all, I think he's going to give her the ick. I think number one, I think it's bad. Socially, I think that's bad. I think that's how, how do you lose your girl in a season of big brother?
[02:00:58] [SPEAKER_09] It's like, write the movie, you know, get it, get it going. Cause that's exactly how you do it. I think that people have been accusing him of being a vet pet for so long. I think that he has been assuring her that he's not going to pick Devin's over the money, you know? And so to go on and to do that, I think that she's not going to reward that. And I don't think the jury is going to reward that either. I think they're going to talk and they're going to say, why would we reward drew for doing the one thing that we've all told him not to do? Right. We told you all, all season, we didn't want this man to win the game.
[02:01:27] [SPEAKER_09] And now you're going to sit next to him as, and not in a way like, oh, I dragged him to the end. No, no, no. You, you did it because you were so loyal to him. Right. With, uh, with all other logic was out, was, uh, was out the window. You always went back to, oh, well, I'm just going to go with Devin's. Um, even though people are telling you for weeks, you cannot beat him. You cannot beat him. You cannot beat him. Why would I tell you, you cannot beat him only to then go and make sure you beat him. That to me, that is the other, uh, the other side of that coin.
[02:01:53] [SPEAKER_09] So yeah, although she might want him to win, I think she wants to make him to do something to win and not just end up there.
[02:02:00] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. All right. Um, now of course her vote at that point doesn't matter if he goes to the end with Devin's, her vote doesn't matter what she does. It's not make or break. It could be, it probably will be if it's him against Taylor. I think she is perhaps the deciding vote, which we'll get to in predictions. I think.
[02:02:19] [SPEAKER_10] Yeah.
[02:02:19] [SPEAKER_08] Um, for D I mentioned in rule five that I was worried. Some people might not have appreciated the way she played the game in some situations and it could have come back to bite her. She made it to the end. Of course now we'll never know. But for example, if she had gotten there with Devin's, well, even knew, even she knew that was probably a losing decision against others. It might've been closer. Yeah.
[02:02:44] [SPEAKER_09] And then even then I think that even with Devin's it's, it's tough because you, I'd say I give Devin's the edge at first glance, but why would I count D out at this point? If she's managed to make herself to the final two against all odds while sitting next to Angela, usually she made it, you know, if she survived sitting next, uh, to melody or, you know, however she gets there. Right. She survived sitting next to, I guess she would have to survive sitting next to Devin's, but for some reason, if she does end up there, um, didn't look at the wizardry that she would
[02:03:12] [SPEAKER_09] have had to pull out to make sure that happened. Whereas Devin can say, Oh yeah, I won every challenge that I needed to win to get there. Right. I won the blockbuster when I need to, I was going home. I won the veto when I needed to, I was going home. He didn't win those things. And a lot of people weigh that very heavily in big brother. There are some people who weigh competitions a lot more like a Yash, but there are also people who think that, you know, if you're not able to win a comp, because obviously they're not very easy to do and consistently, uh, then what else do you have at your disposal? Well, D has shown that she had a lot at her disposal. So I think the argument is probably not as clear cut against Devin's even.
[02:03:40] [SPEAKER_09] So I think that, yeah, as a jury threat, D is one of the ones to watch and that's why she needed to go home.
[02:03:45] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. Now, as for D in the jury, I think it's very clear. She is going to do everything she can to push for a Devin's win, including claiming that some of her own moves were his, according to the things she said while still in the house. If he is there, he obviously has her vote. If he's not, she is easily going with Drew. Despite the way she was so suspicious of him in the game, she talked about him in interviews as like a little brother. There's no doubt in my mind where her vote goes.
[02:04:15] [SPEAKER_08] If it's Drew and Taylor.
[02:04:17] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, for sure. Um, yeah. Uh, if it's Drew and Taylor, I think that at that point, she's going to go with loyalty. She's been loyal to him all game, essentially, you know, basically as much as D will give you. Um, but she's always said that this is my friend, you know, this is, this is my friend. I have that relationship. Taylor has not cultivated the same relationship with D and D has not cultivated the same relationship with Taylor. So you can't count on that. Now, again, we've seen crazy things happen in big brother. When you get up there and you have to make your speech against somebody and they can articulate what they did, you know?
[02:04:46] [SPEAKER_09] And if Taylor is able to get up there and say, I took out Devin's, I took out the one that Drew would never even have the guts to take out. Maybe the jury does end up, uh, like rewarding that, but I don't see D rewarding that. I think D is going to go with Drew every time. Yeah.
[02:04:59] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. And we will talk more about what we think will happen or could happen in our predictions, spoiler free predictions in a little bit, but first it's about time to wrap things up. So what are your final thoughts about melody and D?
[02:05:13] [SPEAKER_09] Oh man. What are two different players, right? Like to go out the same time. It's, it's actually wild that they ended up like this melody doing, I think disappointing a lot of people in a lot of ways. Like you said, so much potential going in, but also not getting locked in on the game enough, getting wrapped up in the show, man. Something that she probably said and watched in the past and said, I'll never do that. You know, we so easy to watch big brother players make these mistakes at home and say, I don't know. It's not, that's not something that I would do. I wouldn't play the game like that. I wouldn't work with the vets. I wouldn't get in a public show mask. Yes, you would. Yes, you would. Cause it always happens. It happens to somebody more times than not.
[02:05:43] [SPEAKER_09] And it happened to melody. She wasn't able to bounce back from it. She didn't have a lot of win equity at the end, but I think she had some fun. I think that, um, I think that she most, mostly fumbled the ball on this showmance to me, whether the showmance is real or not. The people at home are watching the tick tockers out here making the clips kiss, kiss for the people you get the endorsements that you're throwing away, lady, commercial gigs, other game shows. Like, Hey, at some point, you know, bet on you. And so I think that, um, for me, if I was her manager, I'd have been like, Hey, get back in there and kiss that man.
[02:06:13] [SPEAKER_09] You know? Uh, but aside from that now, I think she, she did what she could do. It wasn't much, but she, she, she was there and a lot of people don't last that long at Big Brother. So I'll give her that. As far as D goes, D had every opportunity to win this game as well. She had all the potential in the world and she did everything to stand in her own way while actively just like, just like putting obstacles and hurdles in her way to just go over them time after time in the most impressive way, just increasing her threat level as she went through the game, really giving herself a resume that nobody was asking
[02:06:43] [SPEAKER_09] her to go get. Uh, and so, yeah, cause she, cause she won the game and she played a cleaner game. Yes. Did she have the ability to win the game and play a cleaner game? Also? Yes. She could have done those things. She did not because she was hell bent on breaking these rules. I would not expect her as a rule, a rule breaker when we did our preseason. I'm sure I did not say that. Uh, but yet here we are talking about all the rules that D broke despite her success in the game. So that's, that's melody and D in a nutshell for me.
[02:07:09] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. Before we started discussing each of melody and D in the rules, I, you know, noted the same thing you just said. They played such opposite games and we saw time and time again, how that was shown to us, what we saw in that, as we went through the list, melody barely schemed D over schemed. Melody was completely inflexible. D was too flexible. Melody was often controlled by her emotions. D mostly controlled her emotions.
[02:07:37] [SPEAKER_08] Melody spoke her mind too openly about the other players. D kept those types of thoughts private unless she wanted you to know them. Melody had no chance to win. D was a big threat if she made it to the end. Now, a large part of the way their differences manifested was in the way that when Melody didn't like what was happening, she complained about it to her friends. When D didn't like what was happening, she took action, talked directly to people and changed it.
[02:08:05] [SPEAKER_08] Often by saying whatever the other person wanted to hear and telling whatever lies were necessary to make it happen. This meant that on top of everything else, Melody had no control while D had a ton of control. But even though Melody was not in control, she presented a problem because of her obvious whatever mance with Drew. And so Devin's and D, dad and big sister, wanted him to themselves.
[02:08:31] [SPEAKER_08] They couldn't let love or like or intense staring cloud his mind so he would take her to the end or she would take him. The family had to step in and get rid of her, not for his own good, but for theirs. We went through various things D did wrong in terms of rule two. But did it cause her to lose or just make her way through the game more difficult as she had to keep fixing the problems that she caused?
[02:08:57] [SPEAKER_08] But then after a summer full of lying, D hesitated when it mattered most and failed to just tell Drew what he wanted to hear about throwing the HOH comp to him and taking him to final two with her. He already had trust issues with her because of those rule two related problems throughout the season.
[02:09:19] [SPEAKER_08] So D's failure to quickly agree to Drew's request and the fact that he knew he couldn't necessarily trust her added up. And that is why Melody and D lost. I don't know that we've seen two more opposite people, you know, in the same podcast before like this.
[02:09:42] [SPEAKER_09] No, it's pretty tough. But yeah, such a dynamic game played by one person and almost like a very stagnant game played by another to go out at the same exact time. But to also have so much intrigue, you know, going into this week, right? Like, you know, Melody, for all her faults, when she needed to win HOH, like to save herself this time around, she did. You know, her putting up Yash is one of the bigger moments in the season for sure. And it'll be a divisive moment for sure. But, you know, like I won't take that from her.
[02:10:11] [SPEAKER_09] You know, she she locked in. The thing that you have to do in Big Brother is win challenges. It's really hard to do that. Everybody cannot do it. You're up against some athletes sometimes and it's going to be hard. So I've never I will never knock her for not being able to win a challenge. But when you have the opportunity, you got to make the most of it. And so we saw her throw one earlier in the season. Can't give her any credit for that. We saw her win when she needed to. And that was very impressive. And then the D is, of course, D, a demon.
[02:10:34] [SPEAKER_10] Yes.
[02:10:36] [SPEAKER_08] All right, everyone. I mentioned already. Stay tuned for our final spoiler free predictions in a moment. But first, a few other pieces of information. You know, Big Brother is a 24-7 game. Maybe not as much right now. But, you know, even after it's over, make sure you follow us on social media to get all our full thoughts throughout the week about this show, Survivor, whatever you want. And I post videos every day at TikTok, YouTube and Instagram where I'm at David Bloomberg TV.
[02:11:05] [SPEAKER_08] I've been making two or three videos per day. Fun stuff from the show. The live feeds now bringing in Survivor, bringing in some traders and still Big Brother. And of course, Survivor 51 has started. So yesterday, Jessica and I did the first Wyblank Lost of that season. And I've been podcasting about multiple international versions of the traders on the Tradar podcast. That's T-R-A-I-D-A-R. Tuesday, I discussed the Traders Canada premiere.
[02:11:32] [SPEAKER_08] As soon as we're done recording this podcast, I'll be talking about the Traders U.S. New Blood, episodes three and four. In a few days, I'll be doing a special Q&A episode about the Traders Ireland finale. And then also the Traders U.S. It is a busy podcast week. You can find all of my various accounts at Linktree slash David Bloomberg, including my Blue Sky, where both of us make our social media homes.
[02:11:57] [SPEAKER_08] And we encourage everyone else to do likewise for your Big Brother discussions, but also for all your discussions after Big Brother is open. Yeah, over.
[02:12:07] [SPEAKER_09] For sure. Yeah, we're having a great time on Blue Sky. You know, and all the reality shows we're talking about over there. Just, you know, I'm probably using the wrong hashtag at this point because we've been using Big Brother one for so long. But I'm at Chappelle's Kickback and David's at David Bloomberg. Find me on RecapKickback.com, YouTube.com slash at RecapKickback. Got one more of these to do. And so, you know, I'll be very excited to do that with you, David. But until then, you know, check me out on my podcast.
[02:12:31] [SPEAKER_09] Make sure you subscribe and then catch me on RHIP because although the slop is over, it's time for Club Condo. And so I'll be talking about Big Brother every week for Rob.
[02:12:40] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, I heard you were doing a big Club Condo slop mashup this week, Rob said.
[02:12:46] [SPEAKER_09] It's all we have in us. You know, it's like, dear God, how many of these are we doing at the same time? Like, I'm surprised you haven't done a YX loss Big Brother Survivor mashup at this point just to not point out.
[02:12:55] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. I mean, my brain felt a little mashed up with both of them going on, but, you know. All right. Predictions. Again, spoiler free. Written before we knew. I mean, obviously, we don't know who wins HOH. But before we even knew who won part one of the HOH. It seems like things are perfectly set up for Devins to win the game. But he does have to win HOH first because neither Drew nor Taylor are taking him.
[02:13:24] [SPEAKER_08] Or, my God, I hope Drew isn't taking him. Devins has been incredibly clutch in comps. But not every time. You know, no hit or bats a thousand. Listen, I don't know that he has an advantage here. Indeed, Drew, to me, seems like the more likely person to win HOH. I'm going to go crazy and predict that he does.
[02:13:52] [SPEAKER_08] And he does take Taylor to the end. Now, this is where things get a little sticky. I know. I said this already. There are some people saying, Drew, obviously, and definitely beats Taylor. There are other people who say, Taylor, obviously, and definitely beats Drew. I am not part of the 100% club. Okay? There are shades of gray in here. I think Drew definitely gets D and Devins.
[02:14:22] [SPEAKER_08] I think, based on what I talked about earlier, he has Melody. But she will have been in the House with Barrett. And that brief separation from Drew could make her think more about whether he deserves to win. I'm not sure that Barrett would vote for him, let alone Yash.
[02:14:50] [SPEAKER_08] Angela leaving the House would have seemed to be a lock for him because of what she had said. I mean, remember, she was calling him a super genius when she left. But, and also, you know, I think D will come in and D will work to convince her. But, well, okay, one more thing. She has said things before, like if Taylor and Melody were in the final two, she'd walk out rather than vote for one of them. But sometimes she just says crap like that. You'd be talking.
[02:15:18] [SPEAKER_08] And she's been in the jury house with Lala for, what, a couple weeks now or so? Lala could have been working some magic on her. They seem to be getting along very well. And we know where Lala's vote is going. In the end, even with the maybes, I do think there will be two more votes for Drew on top of the Survivor players.
[02:15:41] [SPEAKER_08] And I think Drew will win with one of the most incredible and ridiculous story arcs that this show has ever seen.
[02:15:51] [SPEAKER_09] I mean, it would be ridiculous. Like, I can't even think of another Big Brother player to kind of like, like the avatar to put him in. Because I think he just made an archetype of a player, honestly. But I don't think he's got it in him. I don't. I don't think he has the guts. I don't think he will cut Devin's when it's time. I think that he should. I think that he absolutely should. I think that's a game winning move. I don't think he will do it. And so that is my prediction.
[02:16:21] [SPEAKER_09] I don't think he has it in him. Now, maybe he doesn't even put himself in that position. We've seen people kind of talk themselves out of winning the final HOH because they don't want to make the decision. We've seen people throw it because they'd rather not make the decision pissing anybody off. Whatever the case may be. I don't think he's got it. I hope he doesn't do something like that. I don't think he's going to. I don't think he's going to pull the trigger on Devin's. And to me, if I'm the jury, that loses my vote. If you get to the end and you did not cut Devin's. So you're sitting next to Devin's. Oh, sorry. Not voting for you because you're sitting next to the person we told you was the biggest threat.
[02:16:51] [SPEAKER_09] So that's crazy. But if you let somebody else do it and they're able to sit up there and say the same thing that I'm saying, that you didn't have the guts. You didn't have it in you. You couldn't make the move, but I could. You would have sat there and lost because you you love this man so much. You got a real dad outside watching the clips and liking the videos and stuff like that. But you so attached to this dude that you rather take second place than to cut him. Oh, you're losing my vote there, too. So, yeah, listen, Taylor, you know what to do. You got to cut Devin's to win the game.
[02:17:20] [SPEAKER_09] You might not, but that's your only path to victory. Drew, I think you should take that same exact exact path. You should be trying to cut Devin's to lock this in. I wouldn't want to leave it to chance.
[02:17:33] Yeah.
[02:17:33] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. So to me, who's your prediction? I think Devin's. I think he's been clutch. I think if he if he wins the final H.O.H., I think it's all over but the crime. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
[02:17:44] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. All right. Okay. As we wrap up, I encourage people to check out the R.J.P. patron program at Rob has a website dot com slash patron. You know all the goodies you'll get.
