BB28 Why ___ Lost Week 10 Also available on YouTube. Barrett and Yash both made significant mistakes in the past week. Maybe not the ones many people think, but errors that could certainly explain them getting evicted. Instant karma doesnβt always work that way, but was that the case here to take them both out [β¦][00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00] You played yourself and got voted out. This is why blank lost. This is why blank lost. This is why blank lost. This is why blank lost.
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_01] Welcome back to a double eviction why blank lost. I'm David Bloomberg and joining me as always is my co host Chappelle as we have a lot to talk about from the outcomes of that wild ride on Thursday night.
[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, the double eviction was fun, David. And, you know, fun double eviction means a lot of work for us. We got to move very quickly to talk about why these people lost because there were so many different iterations of how this could have happened, what could have gone down and some very surprising things I'd say happened to you know in the double. So, yeah, I can't wait to discuss how we got here.
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_01] Yes. Yeah, I was thinking I mean, I know I made different predictions last week because, of course, we make those predictions before knowing anything. But by the time we were getting there, I was thinking we'd be talking about melody and Yasha. I had all sorts of melody stuff ready to go in my head.
[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_01] But we have two very active players to talk about instead. And of course, we will do so by following the same path for them as we do every week, comparing how both played to a set of guiding rules I originally wrote way back in 2004 and have modified ever since. We will analyze their actions using what we saw on TV live feeds interviews and other information with the most recent published version of the rules at Rob has a website dot com slash big brother rules.
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_01] But before we get to all of that, we have some other things to discuss about the week in general. And one of those includes the reason we're not talking about melody. However, to steal a line from Julie. But first on Thursday before the episode, I posted two videos on my accounts. One, I was 100 percent right about the other.
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_01] I did not foresee a big change coming about. So the first one I talked about Drew swearing on his sister after Yash sniffed out the fake cousin lie. But my point was it doesn't matter. Swearing on someone is meaningless. And I hoped that he wouldn't hold to it. And he didn't. So good for him.
[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01] And yet, to our knowledge, unless there is breaking news, his sister Natalie has not been struck down by lightning as of this recording.
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_03] I've never really understood the swearing on somebody like like almost like the the origin of that. It's just something I've known people will do. Right. Like swear on your kids. But I was like, what do you mean by that? And I think that one season of Survivor, I want to say it's like Fiji or something like that. They're like, so you damn your kids to hell by. Wait, I didn't know it was all that. You know, that's what I've been saying this whole time. You know, why would y'all put your family in that position in the first place? But I just never thought that was a thing that I had the power to do.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_03] You know, like I know words are powerful, but I've never really felt that way. So anytime somebody saying I swear this on this, on this, on this short of putting your hand on the Bible, I'm really kind of like, hey, do your thing. You know, if you put your hand on the Bible, this is kind of where you lose me because I wouldn't do it. But I also wouldn't judge you for doing it. It's just something right. Then it's just not something I'm going to do, you know. Right.
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. The swearing and damning somebody to hell. I mean, that seems rather unfair. It's like, you know, you end up in hell and you're like, but I don't even do it. You hear. Well, you know, you're a brother swore on your life on your on your soul. And then he lied. So you're here. Blame him. Oh, wait, you can't because you're stuck here. Sorry. So I think it's usually swearing on their life.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01] And but even that it's yeah, it's to my mind. I mean, some it started certainly when there was a much more heavily oriented belief in that sort of thing. Now I call it superstition and I call it even worse than I just call it silliness because, you know, other people have said D has said famously, she said on Survivor, I'll swear on my mom, my dad, my dog.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_01] I don't care. Tony swore on everyone, you know. And so, yeah, it is to my mind, absolutely meaningless unless another person puts meaning on it, which Yash clearly did, because, no, you can't swear on this person who might be fake. But I will agree if you swear on the person who I know is real. And it's like it's all pretend in the game.
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. In the game, it just feels like such a like such an easy button to push for people. You know, it's like if I figure out you're the person who does hold that in high esteem, I can use that to my advantage because I know that you're going to think that's a line I'm not going to cross. But if I'm a person who doesn't mind crossing that line, then, yeah, it kind of puts me at an advantage. Now, of course, Yash will eventually go to the jury house and then he can decide whether or not he wants to use that against you. And I think that's also fair game if you can swear on it.
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_03] And, you know, and he and make him believe it based on this this rule that he has in his mind and his beliefs. OK, cool. But he also has the ability to use that same feeling that he had when he gave up, you know, the H.O.H. or the veto or whatever to you. He can use that to place his vote. So I think it's got a double edged sword. Personally, again, I wouldn't really care. But again, I can't make that decision for other people.
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_03] Like you said, I have a hard time believing that me and my God, you know, we're going to have I'm going to be having a conversation like, what do you mean my brother played ninety nine to beat and he swore on my life? What are you talking about? You know, I wasn't even there. I didn't watch that show. What are you talking about? You know, so it's it's always interesting when it happens. But I'm always more fascinated to see how the person who is who's a victim to this does react to it. Right. Is Yash going to go in and be like, that's a no starter.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03] You know, I'm not I'm not I cannot give you that vote because you were willing to play with somebody else's life or soul, you know, or are they going to come in and say, man, I shouldn't have fell for that.
[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_01] That was a good. Right. Yeah. And you're right about the jury. And it depends. I think if he tells Angela that after Angela was all put it on your brother, put it on your brother to him, I think. Well, plus she's mostly biased against through anyway. So, you know, I think Angela and like Lala, they could definitely take that and say, well, there's another reason not to vote for Drew. But someone like D, like let's say D ends up at the in the jury on the roundtable.
[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_01] She is going to laugh. She is going to laugh at that if someone tries to say, well, we shouldn't vote for him to win because of that reason. So, yeah, it's it depends on the jurors in that situation. But yeah, I think it was Twyla in Survivor. Yeah, it was Twyla. That's who it was. Yeah. She swore on her kids or something like that and went against it. And yeah, the jury ripped her apart for that.
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_01] Now, that was in the earlier days of reality television. And again, it depends on the jury. If you're already against Twyla, well, that's another reason to rip her apart.
[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, good point. And I think Angela, if I'm not mistaken, was asked about that and said in a moment, I felt like I felt that strongly about Yash doing that. But I don't care now, you know, Angela immediately switched up. But if it's somebody she doesn't like, you know, now you can use that as a weapon to punish them for how they treated you in the game or, you know, for beating you in the game.
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_03] And so it's something that to me is like, that's a break glass in case of the emergency move, because it does have such, you know, repercussions if you're doing it to the wrong person. You know, I wouldn't go there immediately because then it loses meaning. You know what I'm saying? You got to have to save it for something. It's like, oh, yeah, your cousin. I would never swear on my cousin. Yash is like, no, swear on your sister, because I know how you feel about your sister. This cousin just popped up, you know.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_03] So you kind of have to keep that kind of in the back of your in the back of your mind, like, oh, maybe there is this one person I should like maybe talk up throughout the season. And then if it finally gets there, I was like, OK, well, you know how I feel about my Uncle John. It's like, oh, yeah, he's always talks about his Uncle John. I know he's not lying about that. He's like, OK, there is no Uncle John, you know.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_01] So I don't hate it. That's what some people have told me is I would come in with fake relatives just so I could swear on them and talk it up from the beginning, you know, and make it subtle. Right. Right. And so the other thing is, if you're going to swear on someone, you have to be willing to do it for everything, because I've seen this happen like in a mafia game of all things where someone was like, I swear on my sister.
[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_01] I am telling the truth. And I was like, OK, but you realize every time now that we ask you something, you're going to have to swear on your sister because otherwise we're going to know you're lying.
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. No, that's a good point. You can call them out right then. And it's like, yes, where are your sister again? That's where is this time? Because I know what you did this time, but swear your sister just to see just to see how how how beholden you are to it. You know, I just kind of want to judge it. You know, now I now have a baseline for what you will say. And I am going to hold it against you moving forward. It's a game. But, you know, there are certain pressure points that people hold in higher regard than others.
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Now, some people have pointed out to me in comments on that video that technically the deal was he would vote however Yash wanted in the first vote, which he did, and that he wouldn't nominate Yash if he won HOH after that. And so what they're saying is, well, he was therefore OK to vote Yash out because that wasn't part of the deal.
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_01] Now, can I swear that I remember every can I swear on my sister who, by the way, I don't have one that that, you know, I remember every detail of everything they discussed on the live feeds in the middle of the night during that veto camp? No, but I know there was discussion. This is a new beginning. You know, all of that extended beyond just those very specific things we saw on the show.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01] Plus, they talked multiple times in secret after the comp as they both acted like they were going to work together. So whether it was specifically on, you know, that oath or just promises made in general, it was still a betrayal of his work.
[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And I don't even think, you know, not that the intention matters, but I think Drew was open to the idea of if it worked out, you know, if it came to it, he's like, yeah, I could do it. And we even saw when he placed his vote where it looked like he, you know, kind of was, you know, toying with the idea. Like, I don't know, you know, so it's not like it was 100 percent like I came in here to lie, to get him on the block, to get him out of here. I'm more like a Dan Giesling move, you know, speaking of putting your hand on the Bible. So but yeah, I not to say that that takes anything away from it, though.
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_03] You know, it's a lie is a lie. So to me, it still doesn't matter. You know, swear whenever you want, however you want. One of the first things we learn as a Big Brother fan is that you can bounce checks at the Big Brother house.
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_01] Most people learn there are still there are still some people in some of my comments saying, nope, I don't like that he lied. And I'm like, OK, so you're a new Big Brother fan. You've never seen it before. I've watched every season. But can't be how are you watched every season and you still get upset by lying in Big Brother?
[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_03] How? Yeah, you got to be unhappy. You're watching every season and you're putting yourself through hell because these people are lying constantly. They're lying since the first H.O.H. when they say, oh, I'm definitely not going to vote you out. And then they vote that person out. I don't think anybody in this season or most seasons of Big Brother can say they never told a lie. You know, even Adrian, who refused to lie when it mattered the most. You're still holding on to that.
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_01] I will never let it go. I think that's because you were the guest co-host then. Your entry into Big Brother Y Blank loss. That's why it's stuck in your mind. It was trial by fire, David. OK, I came in thinking like, what do you mean?
[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_03] You won't lie. Are you crazy? And now we've grown so much. Yes. Yes.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_01] Now, the other video I made was about Melody saying she hadn't accomplished anything in the season yet. And I agreed completely with her because, well, she hadn't won any comp. She hadn't done anything in terms of strategy, etc. And I certainly did not expect her to win, well, anything.
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01] And then she wins two comps and has to make actual strategic decisions and went with the right one. Where where was this Melody all season, Chappelle?
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_03] Well, there are less people competing now. You know, I think everybody's everybody's in these spots where they have to win or basically go home. And I think it was finally time. Right. There are so many types of challenges in Big Brother where that many people can win. There are so many challenges that you just don't stand a chance at if you're not the most athletic person in the house. We saw the wall where like the athletes are going to win. And although people were shocked at Lala winning, she was still an athlete. Lala is ripped, you know. So to come in and be like, all right, yeah, we're shocked because she's an older person who's won that competition.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_03] But I mean, you seen the abs on that lady? The course trip is crazy. So for Melody, she's coming in and she's looking around like, dang, I'm a I'm a corporate game show host. How am I going to beat Kamu, the MMA fighter or, you know, Lala, the bodybuilder? You know what I'm saying? There's so many other people. But those people are gone now. You know, so now she has to be Devin's who's no slouch, but also doesn't probably have the pedigree that somebody athletically like Kamu would. She doesn't have to be Lala, who's not there anymore.
[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_03] You know, we whittled down the field to a certain group of people. And although they are challenged threats, they're not unstoppable. You know, there are a couple of people who look like they're unstoppable. But if they slip up, you have to take the shot. And that's exactly what they did.
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. One of them was stopped this week. Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, I mean, she crushed that ball one. They found her skill right there. I don't know. She's a flow state. Yeah. Now, it was funny, you know, during the rushing around in the double eviction to see Taylor trying to convince Melody to nominate Drew in the moment. And yeah, good for Taylor. She had to take the shot. Yeah. But it wasn't going to happen.
[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_01] And then Taylor got all upset because she seemed to think Melody didn't understand what would happen. And I think Yash said something similar in one of his interviews. Like, I don't think she understood. It wasn't a matter of not understanding. She fully understood. It was a matter of not trusting Taylor and Yash to keep him. And I don't blame her. Although, I mean, Derek on Unlocked said he did blame her.
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01] That Melody made a horrible renom. Like, Derek? Hello? Knock, knock. Hello? No, that's absolutely not true. That's a ridiculous thing to say. Were you actually paying attention? Or were you busy getting ready for Unlocked? I don't know what's going on.
[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I think my issue, and it's more so an issue with the Big Brother fandom, and alumni included. So I'm not excluding Derek from this. But once the fandom decides in their mind who they think should go home, then it doesn't really matter the logic that these other people use, because it just doesn't make sense to you, right? And so for Derek and these Big Brother alums, they've been saying, we want the icons out. It doesn't matter how the icons can benefit your game in the moment. It doesn't matter what the icons can do for you. We want them out.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_03] So when they see the chance to take out an icon in this spot, or, you know, they're like, why would you take out D? Why wouldn't you take out D? Why wouldn't you put up Drew? Why would you? It's like, hey, Yash is going to win out if you don't take him out the game. The man has won. He's been immune for seven weeks. They couldn't have got him if they wanted to a bunch of times. This is the chance to take the shot. And for Melody, she's like, Yash being in the game later on does not benefit me either. Yeah.
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_03] D being gone is not great. I mean, D being here is not great for me. But is Yash being here great for me? You know who is potentially great for Drew? Drew might actually keep her around because they have a flirt man. They've been, you know, trying to work out this final two thing for a very long time. It seems like it's about to lock in. She's running out of options. Why would she want to be on an island or the third to Taylor and Yash?
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_03] You know, it doesn't make sense for her to risk her own ally because she doesn't have any more. I don't know. To me, it's very it's very simple that you wouldn't put up your number one in this situation. But for Derek, he's like, well, we got to get an icon out. You got to get these. Yeah. Hey, you're not looking at this from Melody's point of view.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_01] Well, and you're assuming that Yash and Taylor are telling the truth. Right. Yash later said in interviews that he would have voted D out in that situation. But we don't know what Taylor would have done. I mean, maybe they would have stood by their word. Maybe we we have no idea. And as we'll talk about, I think later when we get to the rules, they kind of threw away their credibility the week before with Melody. So how do you expect Melody to do that?
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01] So just Derek saying that is just like was mind blowing to me. And it's yeah. And there are still people there are still plenty of people out there saying it, too, which, you know, that's one reason I wore this shirt. I may be wrong, but it's highly unlikely. So let's you know. And that applies to both things that we've talked about because. No, no, I'm just not sorry. Uh. All right.
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01] We could move on to our Julie Chen Moonves is wrong about Blake. But for the third week in a row, she didn't say anything particularly horribly wrong. Now, there were a few smaller things I'll get to in a moment. But in her weekly Dalton Ross interview, she was surprisingly on point about both Barrett and Yash. She even asked Barrett questions after he was evicted and hit on some of the very topics we're going to talk about.
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_01] Now, I won't go into details now because the rules are for it to discuss those. But I have to be honest, it's freaking me out a little bit. Like, did they actually hire a good intern to keep her updated on what's going on?
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_03] I hope they pan that intern. I do. You know, because that person is working hard. I think Big Brother has done such a good job in in revamping and elevating the game. I think that the original Big Brother was amazing. Big Brother two through like 10. You know, those are great seasons of television. You really get to see the social interactions with these people, different walks of life and all that kind of stuff. And then we know some there's some leadership changes and the production.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_03] It really goes in a different direction and it gets really wacky for a while to where it's kind of like, what are we watching? What is it? What is this show even? And then they all game the system. They figure it out. And then it becomes boring at some points, you know, where it's like, OK, this interesting stuff could happen. But we got these people winning comps and everybody's just like say these big massive alliances. And Big Brother has been around for so long that they've had to pivot and try different things. And every season we get different twists. But now Big Brother has really been promoting itself as a show that people should come and watch more.
[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_03] You know, the social media presence is on point these these days. You can tell they have younger eyes on it is really trying to like stay kind of in the moment. We hear people on the show that say, why do they call this show Big Brother? You know, they have not they don't. The show's been on so long that people don't even know how it originated, where it came from. And that's fine. But because of that, Big Brother still has to stay relevant. It has to find a way to stay on the front of people's minds. And so it did that. But now you have to make sure your host is up to date, too.
[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_03] You know, I think that Survivor does a bad job about this. I think Jeff Probst is trying to like he's desperately grasping for these things. Right. Bring in Mr. Beast. You know, I'm going to rap for you. Things like that. It's like, hey, that's that's not what we're looking for here. Maybe the Mr. Beast thing was cool. I think the coin flip does turn out to be decent television. But I think that Big Brother has now if if this is a streak, I will say, because Julie, you've been you've been wrong. A lot.
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_03] But it does feel like there's somebody in her ear or, you know, on the cue cards say here are the talking points for the week. We know you don't watch the show closely, but you look silly when you say things like this. And I think it helps because Julie is the face of the show. So she if she lacks credibility, then the show lacks credibility. You can't have the the the host of the show coming in and saying crazy stuff because then you're like, I'm not listening to that or I'm not watching that or I'll just watch the feed. You know, I'll just watch the feeds or I'll just listen to updates.
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03] Like, no, Julie, you need to get tapped in like everybody else. So I'm happy to see it.
[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And I'm going to take credit for it because we have this segment. She listens to this podcast.
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. I think clearly someone is listening to this podcast and hearing us or, you know, the videos that I was putting out that I do put out when we have the segment, you know, saying, look, here are the things that she did wrong. I I sometimes tag her in them, although usually her Instagram tagging is disallowed for some reason. But but Big Brother, you know, I tag Big Brother. So if social media, if they have social media people going, look, look, we keep seeing these videos about Julie being wrong.
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_01] Now, do I really think that? No, but hey, I'm going to take credit for it anyway. And so so, you know, we we did this. I will say that, like I said, she wasn't right about everything here. She she thought Melody should have nominated Drew instead of Yash when Devins vetoed himself.
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_01] But and she said this in her interview with Dalton Ross, but she admitted she needed to go back and listen to the last minute strategizing, which to me is code for I need to go back and have the intern explain it to me. Yeah, because do we really think she's going to go back and watch the last minute strategizing?
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03] No, it'd be wild for Julie to become a fan of the show now, you know, to really get invested in the show because we don't we know she has her favorite. Julie definitely has the people that she likes. She she she's seen the edited show. But for Julie to really get like tapped in on the strategy. Yeah, I think that I think that's welcome. I think that's a welcome change. You know, I don't like you said, I don't really believe that Julie's like, OK, let me go. Let's let me go like tapping and see what's going on. But it would be nice. It really would.
[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03] So that you're not saying things that, you know, make you look silly to me. I just feel like the house guests, they are in there so long. Right. They have so many conversations. And so to just take, you know, this like 13 second clip and make it the whole reason this person lost or the whole reason this person should have gone home or should have been on the block. It's like it's not really looking holistically at the show. And if you're going to have cameras on these people, 24 hours a day, 24 hours a day, you know, then why not utilize the things that you learn throughout the whole season?
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, that's the whole point of why it's lost.
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_01] Right. Right. The other thing she got wrong was that she said in her interview that she loved how Yash stuck to his lie about the BB broad. Now, we'll talk about that later. But spoiler alert, there's nothing to love about that. So, yeah, she was still wrong about a couple of things. But for her, huge improvement. Good week, Julie. Good week for Julie. Good few weeks for Julie.
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_03] Mm hmm.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_01] Tell her. Yeah. All right. Well, we can move on to the actual players we are here to discuss because Barrett and Yash both made significant mistakes in the past week. Maybe not the ones people think, but the type that were worthy of them getting evicted because of those mistakes. Instant karma doesn't always work out. But did it here to take them both out in one night or were there other factors that played bigger roles for each of them?
[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_01] It's time to find out because at RJP, we know Big Brother and we know why Barrett and Yash lost. The first and most important rule is, of course, to scheme and plot. And we know Barrett came into Big Brother understanding this while it's somewhat unclear if Yash did. But as Yash was learning, it seemed like Barrett had kind of this inverse response. Not that he lost knowledge, but lost the will to use that knowledge.
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_01] But starting with Barrett, we, of course, know he was in the crossovers and the tool shed. He was locked in with the icons. Plus, he had a final two with Drew, the jugglers. And we can't forget FAP as well. I'm not going to do a demonstration of that. Please don't.
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_01] For those who are just doing the audio, I actually did juggle when I said the jugglers. That's why I mentioned it. I have broken Chappelle. You got me. Early on, he told us flat out in a camera talk that he wanted to be seen as a puppy dog fanboy of the icons for the moment.
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_01] And he certainly was, with some viewers seeming to forget that he was doing this on purpose. As opposed to Drew, who I think just was a puppy dog fanboy of the icons. But, you know, that's a different story for a different day.
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_03] Hmm. I like that he articulated his strategy. That's something that a lot of Big Brother players don't do. Or maybe they don't have the strategy. But because we know that Barrett was saying from jump, okay, I'm going to get in good with the icons and then I'll go from there. You know, I was very happy with the scheming and plotting he was doing. He was in the conversation. Now, the icons were definitely in charge, you know, because they were able to move around and create other alliances in a way that he wasn't.
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_03] Now, he was in a couple of them with them, but they were definitely the leaders of these alliances that he was a part of. So there's definitely more scheming and plotting he could have done. You know, they were outflanking him in a lot of ways because had they decided on a whim that it should have been Barrett or Drew, then it would have been Barrett or Drew. You know, he didn't have enough defense. It was definitely in good. And he was doing what he needed to do. We saw, I've talked about this before.
[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_03] We saw him doing so much cuddling with D and, you know, the whole Drew and Devin's thing that they were doing. Like, he was in good with them, but, you know, he was doing it at the detriment of FAP, you know, you know, the people that he actually considered his friends. And, you know, he was allowing the icons to make other connections. Like, again, if the red corner had decided, all right, we're, you know, the cross, well, not the crossovers, but the red corner, you know, the dog move or chog move.
[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_03] And then the icons decided there. OK, we're going to take out Barrett instead of Mallory or we're going to take out Barrett instead of Drew. Then he would have gone home. He didn't have a lot of other outside connections like that. So he was doing a lot of scheming and plotting, but there's definitely things he could have done better.
[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And, you know, it didn't take him long to realize where he stood. Situations happened like he was pressured by Devin's to vote out Mallory much earlier than Mallory actually got voted out the first go round of that. But he also knew, as he discussed in interviews, that within that alliance, there were at least three big threats ahead of him as Shields. So it was a fairly safe spot to be for the first part of the game.
[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_01] Plus, D was protecting him from Chogmu. And, you know, in return, he passed along information like telling D and Devin's about Lala's meeting where there was that discussion of targeting the icons and talking about them as big threats. And he was biding his time. Yeah.
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03] So, I mean, yeah. So I don't mind biding your time, right? Especially if you put in the work. Like you said, with D, he was putting in the work. So it's not like she just saved him on a whim. She knew that this was somebody that she could count on to really have her back later on. Or at least she thought, right? Or to an extent, I guess I should say. And so, yeah, I agree that it's not by happenstance that Barrett makes it this far. Whereas there's some people who make it this far in the game and they can't really tell you how they got there.
[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_03] They just were there by the grace of other people instead. Yeah.
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. And I think he probably would have kept biding his time a bit longer. But then we saw what happened. The icons convinced him and Drew to bring Mallory and Melody into the mosh pit, giving assurances of safety, which they then immediately broke when he, Melody, and Mallory all foolishly threw the HOH comp to let D win, which led directly to Mallory's eviction. And this made Barrett realize that he was not in a trustworthy alliance.
[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_01] To further emphasize this, he saw or we saw, well, both of us, saw the ridiculous situations like Angela walking into the storage room where he and Drew were talking and just saying out of the blue, I trust you, which he described as low budget movie acting.
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_01] And then D told Barrett the full truth about the bribe, meaning he knew that she could have made him safe as well and didn't. Every bone in his body told him they did not trust him and they would be coming after him. And all those bones were right. He tried twice to make moves against them, wanting to vote out Drew and then Devens, but both won blockbusters that prevented it.
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_01] So when he won HOH, it was time to make the move. And look, I know we've talked about it already. There are people who say Barrett made the wrong move where he did it too soon. We discussed this on last week's podcast. The answer is no, you're wrong. It was final eight. The very soonest he could possibly have power again was final six.
[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_01] If he had won HOH again, which, you know, against people who were better at comps generally, it had to be done when he did it. But now that he was evicted, there are some results oriented people saying, see, told you. No, the answer is still no. The answer did not change. I mean, Angela claimed while walking out the door that it was the wrong move. But meanwhile, you had D.
[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_01] And let me tell you, I value D's strategic thoughts a lot more than I value Angela's. You know, D told Angela it was the right move in terms of making a big move. Emotions aside, it was a good move. And it was because it wasn't the move or the timing that was the problem here. It was what happened after that, mostly when he stayed in his room and didn't follow through.
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I said it last week and I stand by it. He he was guilted, you know, and it worked and it worked. It was is a strategy that people have used in Big Brother time and time again, whereas you get these you form these close relationships. So people don't put you on the block. Now, Barrett, maybe he didn't always intend on putting the icons on the block, but based on their actions throughout the season, he knew it had to be done. He knew they needed to sit next to each other. He's a fan of the show.
[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_03] And so, you know, he knows deep down that even though he loves he loves these people to death, he knows I look crazy not putting them. These two survivor players up on the block next to each other. That'd be insane for somebody like Barrett. And so he has so many things that do it, do it, do it, do it, do it. But when he did it, it didn't feel good. It didn't feel good. It's like his brain said do it. But his heart was like, I like these people. I love these people. You know, I've seen Devin struggle with that throughout the season where he's about to make a cutthroat move.
[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_03] But he's just, you know, trying to make it just slide, just massage it in there like, oh. You and this is also like, hey, we're used to people just put you on the block and just being OK with it. You're on the block and you might go home and that's it. Barrett was not OK with it. And they weren't OK with it when when Barrett did it to them. So they complained and they whined and they moaned and he hid. Barrett went and got away from that. And I and I empathize because I can't do it. I don't like when people are sobbing and stuff like that.
[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_03] I don't like to see people sad. It's not it's just not a thing for me. And so when people start to act like that, I'm definitely going to run. But I'm not playing a game for seven hundred fifty thousand dollars either. And so you got to have to you have to suck it up. You have to get down there. You have to continue to make sure your plans are going to go through. And he did not follow through at all. And he left these two capable Big Brother players in Devins and D both downstairs to do their bidding, to work their magic.
[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_03] And he just took his eye off the ball and they managed to get this right past them.
[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, exactly. I mean, he needed to be moving in that house, being in discussions, talking to Yash and Taylor, playing defense against D and Devins. But he didn't. I mean, even Julie's cue card intern knew it. And he acknowledged to Julie that, quote, in hindsight, he should have tried to keep an eye on Taylor and Yash. The thing is, he should have had the foresight to do that.
[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_02] Mm hmm. Yeah.
[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_01] Tough. Yeah. And then after he became a target because of it, you know, people are saying, oh, see, he went out because of that. Well, he still needed to lose the blockbuster to Melody. Melody, what are the odds of that happening? Come on. Come on. And all of that, all of the things that happened there that we just talked about are independent of the timing of the move.
[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_01] And I'm glad that Barrett has been steadfast about that. He told Julie he stood by it. He said the same in interviews, such as telling Mike Bloom. There was no question in my mind what I wanted to do. And I would do that again. I would do it a million times. There's a path for me to win this game through the move that I made. And I knew that it could put me in the position where I am right now as the very next juror that went out. I love the icons. I was loyal to the icons for the majority of this game.
[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_01] But do I regret putting any of them up on the block when I had a chance to? Absolutely not. And that, to me, is a key point as well. Without making this move, he had no chance to win. And people who listen to me, especially in the Survivor podcasts, know I often advise strongly against the unnecessary big move. But that wasn't the case here. There comes a time when you have to do something.
[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_01] And that time was now for Barrett. He also told Mike Bloom, I would look like a fool if I rode the final five with the people who literally just backstabbed me and got and evicted. My best friend in the game was seemingly no problem. They had failed to show loyalty to him, and he rebelled. Dolphica, who we've mentioned before, makes the alliance maps and posts them on Blue Sky,
[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_01] also described the situation well in a Blue Sky post a couple of weeks ago, saying, a warning to those in the echelons of the power structure. Always tend to your goats. Make sure they have food and water. Make sure they stay in the fenced area. Pet them and love them. Don't kick them and abuse them and expect them to want to stay on their own. Everyone wants to escape a bad situation.
[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_03] I couldn't even imagine this season ending and people's criticism of Barrett is you shouldn't have put up the icons. Just hear how that sounds. You went on because you targeted the three biggest threats in the house, you know, who came in with a huge alliance who had been running the game the entire time. And then go to criticize everybody else for not targeting the icons. Remember, yeah, yeah. The entire reason why people don't like Melody's move, people don't like this move is because, oh, yeah, why didn't you take out the icons?
[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_03] You had D, you had Devin's, you almost got him. Why didn't you take him out? Barrett goes and puts them on the block and people are like, you shouldn't have done that. It's like Barrett, Barrett 1HOH one time in the entire game. And you think he gonna waste it on somebody who is not the front runner? You know, what does he look like? Like, he wasn't the far, you know, the odds on favor to win. So he had to take out the people who were or at least take a shot at them.
[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_03] And my brother has been on for decades. I will say this. The most memorable people are the ones who took the shot. You the people you forget are the ones who rolled down to the end as the goat and just got the wool pulled over their eyes. You know, Brittany Haynes is like the example of the person who was able to make a name for herself despite being in that spot. But so many people were like, oh, I'm fifth in an alliance, but I'm really third because they have the one that they really want to take to the end. We see it in Survivor. We see it in Big Brother.
[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_03] And Barrett knew that wasn't that was his position. He was going to get cut. It doesn't matter what D is saying. Oh, yeah, I would take it. Barrett's if I know she wouldn't have. You know, like, Jen, you can't count on this. She would have. Right. But what you can count on is that your odds are exponentially better if you can get one of them out. Now, Angela going out? Not great. Not the best. Not the optimal moment. And so I have issues with that. But I don't have issues with the icons going up.
[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_01] Right. And that's the thing. Yeah, there are people who are literally all over my comments. Like, oh, he should have waited till final six. Oh, really? You have a crystal ball and you can guarantee he would have won the final six HOH? That's amazing. Okay. First of all, as we discussed, we don't know that he had an easy road to the final five because they didn't trust him and they had showed that distrust.
[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_01] Second, as Barrett himself said, I just quoted him, getting to the final five doesn't get you the win. So what's the difference? You go out a couple spots earlier. Oh, no. How terrible. I gave myself a chance to win and I still lost. I just lost a little sooner. That's giving yourself the chance to win is what you have to do.
[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_01] It didn't go right because of these other things that we discussed. And yes, those parts are on Barrett as well. They're just not on him for the reason that some people are saying they are.
[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, because Barrett went into the week saying these three people are my targets, the survivor players and Yash. And Barrett put Yash in a position to win the veto. That is crazy. That is crazy. That is crazy. You could argue to the cows come home about whether or not he should take the shot at the icons. But of the icons and Yash, Angela should be the fourth option. And the fact that she was the one who went home and it could have been prevented by, I don't know,
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_03] not picking the biggest challenge threat to make sure that he was going to be safe, essentially, so that one of the icons might. Like, this is crazy. You know, I'll give Barrett a lot of credit for taking the shot, but it was still a half measure. If you wanted one of the icons or Yash to go home, but specifically D, Devins, or Yash, those people should not have multiple chances to save themselves. You had the opportunity to make sure Yash did not win that veto.
[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_03] Not only did he win the veto, but he took down one, you know, he put himself in a situation where you had Angela on the block. Angela. Angela should not be on the block if your HOH is going to be a success, right? So you can maximize your odds. I think I do have issues with the execution of what he did, but the idea that it's time to take a shot. No, I don't have any, I don't have any issue with that.
[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_01] Right, right. Now there were, of course, other things Barrett did, both good and bad. We discussed in our Why Haley and Lala Lost podcast that he was the decision maker for both of those eliminations because he wanted to get rid of people who were threats to his position in the game. So even before he made his big move, he was doing things to help himself. But on the flip side, after he spent most of the week in the HOH room, rather than keeping an eye on things, he kind of continued somewhat in that vein.
[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_01] For example, when Devin's asked Barrett how long he had wanted to make that move, Barrett should have given him the truth. You made me do it by turning on the Alliance and voting out Mallory. But he just didn't. Now, would it have changed anything? Maybe not. But it could have because they would have then understood that they had a responsibility here. It wasn't just that out of the blue, he decided he hated them.
[00:41:53] [SPEAKER_01] No, they took an action that caused this. Whether they accepted responsibility or not is another matter. But at least in theory, there might have been some introspection of, oh, maybe we shouldn't hate him so much because we were the ones that started this whole thing. You know, so that was the one thing.
[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_03] The game he's playing is a double edged sword. You know, it's like I want to be the vet pet to then go backstab the bets. Well, how do you think they're going to react to that? You know, that's exactly where we are right now. Right. So it's like whether or not they understand where you're coming from, it doesn't matter because you've got yourself so in so good with them that they have the right to feel betrayed. Now, do they have the right to, you know, to be irrationally upset about it? Not really. You know, like it's a game. You have to make the moves that suit you.
[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_03] But you can't get underneath these people, get all in their good graces, backstab them and then just be looking at them like, well, why don't you understand why you're backstabbed? Because they were backstabbed. That's that's how it happens. Right. You stab them in the back, not in the front, in the back. And so, yeah. So then coming out of being like, well, I had to get you out. Yeah. That's what you should definitely be saying. Do I judge them for not, you know, like just immediately being like, you're right. We're not mad at you. No, they have they have the right to react to your moves the same way you have the right right to react to theirs. Right.
[00:43:10] [SPEAKER_03] Them targeting Mallory. Mallory wanted D out from the very beginning of the game. It'd be crazy for D to let Mallory get to the jury. It would be nuts. Do you see how Mallory's acting right now outside of the house? Yeah. D would be wild for that. Right. So, yeah, it's at Barrett's detriment. But D had to choose herself. And so I don't have any issue with Barrett choosing himself this time. Yeah.
[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_01] But then when he was nominated, it took a while for him to really do any campaigning for himself. Again, he just was sort of avoiding the situation. He eventually talked to Devins. It wasn't a great pitch. He was saying things like, I could be your shield. When first of all, really, Barrett, you're going to be the shield for D and Devins? How does that work? And second of all, shields are pretty much meaningless at this late stage of the game.
[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_01] Then very late into the week, he still basically hadn't campaigned to D or Taylor. And it seemed like he just didn't want to because he'd have to throw Melody or Taylor under the bus. And I don't want to do that. So it just came down to him essentially relying on the blockbuster.
[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_03] There are so many people who have shown themselves to be so cutthroat in this game this season where they will turn on their ally in a heartbeat. You know, we saw Lyric like, hey, I'm open to the highest bidder. Who needs me? Because I'm not going down like that. We saw Kamu immediately jump ship on Thog and Chuck immediately without hesitation. I don't know them people. He didn't even save them with the veto when he had the chance to save them. He had been working with them since day one. D has completely thrown everybody under the bus. She don't care.
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_03] She's going to do the things that make sure that she gets to the next round. Barrett did not come in aggressively and try to save himself. Oh, battling with the, oh, do I want to do this? Do I want to do that? He should have came in throwing everything because he has so much information. Barrett's been in a lot of alliances. He got a lot of ammo to use. I don't care if it's personal information, game information or personal game information, whatever you want to call it. He had it and he could have gone to work.
[00:45:14] [SPEAKER_03] Not to say that it would have worked, but just the attempt is enough. I mean, we saw D basically will herself into this spot that she's in right now against, you know, what a lot of people say. Everybody's like better judgment. You know, like they should not be keeping somebody like D. She is a shark in the water, but because she was willing to move around like a shark, she never stopped. She never stopped working. She was willing to leave Devin's behind her number one allies. You're like, you do what you got to do. I'm gonna do what I got to do.
[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_03] And somehow they both ended up coming out of that unscathed. But Barrett did not have that same amount of attack when it came to campaigning for himself. And so it didn't really work out.
[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_01] So we could move on, I think, to to Yash here. As I mentioned earlier, he did not come into the game with the same knowledge as Barrett. And it took him a little while to get the hang of things. To be frank, he never fully did, though he definitely improved. But at the start, for example, going all the way back to day six on the live feeds, Devin's told Barrett that Yash hadn't talked game with him at all. Ashley didn't think Yash had alliances.
[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_01] Chuck said Yash didn't talk with anyone. You know, Taryn described Yash in like, I think it was the first. It could have been the second. But I think it was the first roundtable as having a lack of urgency and a lack of knowledge. Asia talked about him having surface level conversations as he would talk to people and say, oh, well, if you say I'm good, I'm good.
[00:46:50] [SPEAKER_01] Even as of July 26th, Devin's lumped Yash in as one of the not very bright players with Chuck and Haley. That is not a group you want to be lumped in with.
[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_03] No, I think I I think I picked Yash as my first boot for the season, if I'm not mistaken. And although I was incorrect.
[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_01] So, yeah, gosh, gosh, gosh, this left for for the audience.
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I'm pretty sure when we did our cast assessment in the beginning, I was like, he's not long for this world. This world. Yeah. And to be fair, he almost wasn't. You know, if not for the blockbuster, there would be no Yash conversation today. We had a week to go and it wasn't because Yash did anything extremely bad. It's just that he didn't know what he was doing in the game. And so, you know, that the lack of knowledge is definitely a reason why somebody could get voted out. Now, since then, he was able to pivot and really start to find his footing.
[00:47:44] [SPEAKER_03] But I would not say that Yash ever had a good grasp on the game. He was more like always kind of swimming, you know, upstream, kind of learning it until he finally just started winning. And winning competitions is such a big deal in Big Brother. Right. Right. Yeah.
[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, when he did get around to gaming, even even then, he began very inauspiciously. Like he talked about wanting the bros to work with bros instead of it being, quote, like a civil war, dudes voting for dudes. He made other comments suggested he wasn't interested in working with women. Now, obviously, he learned he got over that. His closest ally was Taylor, you know, by the end here. But it took a little while, knowingly or unknowingly, probably unknowingly.
[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_01] He played the type of game where you lie low early on and then come alive when you need to. Even by mid-August, he said he had been relying primarily on aligning with those in power. So, yeah, like you said, once he kicked it into gear, then things started happening. But he still thought he understood things better than he actually did.
[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I think that he was actively trying to play the game after a certain point. And that's good. That's good. But, you know, like you said, the right people have to win at the right times. And he was aligned with those people when they won. Right. When Kamu wins, Yash is right there. You know, and that's perfect because Yash was throwing down. You know, when Yash was in charge, he said, oh, a woman is going home this week. You know, and that's that. I'm going to put a woman on the block and that's what's going to happen.
[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_03] And so, you know, we we knew kind of where he stood strategically. A lot of people did. But it was the fact that he was with the people who were winning when they started winning. When Kamu wins, then Yash wins. I think Lala wins and Yash is with those people. So that's great. But Yash doesn't have a lot of connections outside of those people. Like the people started to enjoy Yash. You know, we would see people saying positive things about Yash. Oh, yeah, I don't really want to put up Yash. But it wasn't a strategic alliance with a lot of those people. You know, the Dapper Dans is a fake alliance.
[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_03] But, you know, it was just like blowing down some more. But there were so many people who were who Yash was expendable to throughout the game in a way that Barrett wasn't expendable to a lot of people. You know, like if we're going to compare the two, Barrett was in like five big alliances, big alliances, four people here, five people here, seven people here. You know, Yash is in like one alliance. And then he has a little relationship with this person, a little relationship with this person, a little, you know, a little handshake agreement with these two people.
[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_03] But nothing really is going to keep him off the block. If anything, Yash was in danger more times than he ever he ever really knew. Right. And that's the key.
[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_01] The things that he didn't know, because like he, you know, at this point famously noted that every move gives information. He wasn't taking all that information in like he he told Drew Barrett that Devin's use of the diamond power of veto on D showed the extent of their relationship. No, really, really, really?
[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_01] That was something he should have seen a lot earlier and for quite a long time. He thought D sucked at comps. He even talked to Taylor about how D was probably a survivor winner who shouldn't have won and likely did so by riding with her alliance or just being a floater and getting lucky. I just yeah, it didn't occur to him for the longest time that he was missing the full picture.
[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_01] And, you know, I mean, really, you think that they brought D on to big brother because she was a bad winner? Like even think about it from that meta perspective. Just open your mind a little bit. And they brought back Angela.
[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_03] OK. But that was a bad player and a bad, you know, a bad player and a bad and a non winner.
[00:51:52] [SPEAKER_01] I guess I should say that was for drama reasons. You know, he didn't even bring up the if you're just floating to the end, as he said, you know, there aren't even drama reasons there. And then, you know, he he thought Drew Barrett, Mallory and Melody would vote to keep Kamu against Angela. And when D found this out, she was like, well, why do they think these things like it was just mind blowing?
[00:52:20] [SPEAKER_03] It's that tunnel vision that people have when they see these icons in the in the house. They say, oh, well, obviously everybody wants those people out. We saw Lala make that mistake. So what do we know who's going on first? And so when you sit around in your bubble and your echo chamber saying, well, obviously, it's got to be the icons. Obviously, it has to be icons. It's going to be the icons. It's always going to be icons. You don't really care what other people's relationships look like, because in your mind, it's got to be the icons.
[00:52:46] [SPEAKER_03] It's why people say, well, Melody doesn't understand what she's doing by, you know, putting, you know, this making this move and why this is like, no, you just are not looking at it from their perspective. You have now taught yourself into believing that what you believe is true. And unlike David, it is highly unlikely that that's not the case. You know, you I think that for Yash, he did not see what the house was saying or how they were feeling because he didn't really have a strong relationship with them.
[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_03] Yash telling us that Melody Mallory would vote to keep Kamu was crazy, but it's because Yash doesn't know them. He's in the house with them, but he hasn't formed enough of a bond to know that Melody hates Kamu. You know, there's nothing there. There's not there's not a relationship between that. And matter of fact, Mallory doesn't love Kamu either. But you have to move around the house a lot more and learn and learn those bonds. Obviously, Yash is at a deficit because he didn't know that coming in. But that doesn't change anything.
[00:53:39] [SPEAKER_03] Right. Because had he won the game, we would have gave him credit for coming in, not knowing anything and learning the game and winning. Right. So we have to hold it against him that you came in the game. You didn't know anything. And it took you a long time to get on the on the right foot.
[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, we don't grade on a curve. You know, now, to his credit in the Kamu vote, he did try to get Mallory and Melody over to vote to keep Kamu. He did show some magical misting powers. He had those two convinced to flip until Drew was like shaking them. Hello. Come back to reality.
[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_01] You know, but then Yash also discovered the power of the lie. He told Mallory and Melody that Drew threw them under the bus and they believed him. He got Angela turned against Drew. He even told various people that Drew said the reason the vote flipped against Kamu was Mallory and Melody, which, again, he just plain made up, but it caused D not to trust Drew again.
[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_01] He gave he gave Taylor some advice. The only thing worse than lying is going home. If it's go home or lie, lie. Which is very solid advice for big brother, especially coming from him. And he added, it's especially helpful if you haven't been seen as lying prior to that point, because you're viewed as honest and can use that to your advantage.
[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. The easiest way to show that you're a liar is by winning power and having to lie to people, you know, by saying, OK, I would never put you up and then put in somebody up or I don't want you to go home. And then they find out that you wanted them to go home. And then there's so many times to save yourself with the blockbuster and the veto. You know, so that person can definitely come back and have the receipts against you and say, no, that person is a liar. It's why they don't trust D, you know, or for the most part is because they're like, no, we've seen her found so many checks in the house. Somebody like Yash did not have power for so long.
[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_03] So it was like for him, he didn't have to lie. Everybody knew where he what he wanted to do. He wasn't making a lot of strategic connections anyway, but they could not say that he was a liar. So once he started to lie, he really just he had a lot of runway to use it. And he was correct in a world where so many people don't choose not to lie. Yash was so ready to be like, no, I need to lie because he had been on the back foot since week one. So I think that survival mode had kicked in. And so that's what like I just got to I just got to get to the next week.
[00:56:09] [SPEAKER_03] Right. Like I don't think Yash had any long term plans for how he was going to win the game. I don't think he had any like he didn't have an ideal final two or anybody that he knew he could get there with. I think for Yash, for a large portion of the game, it was just like I just got to survive another round. And, you know, and me and Kamu is going to make it another round. And oh, well, Kamu's gone. OK, well, me and Lala and Taylor are going to make another round. Well, Lala's gone. Well, me and Taylor are going to make it another round. And he's just winning and winning and winning at some point to where, you know, he did have a path to the end if he made it there.
[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_03] And a lot of people wouldn't be able to say Yash betrayed me because they were never aligned with him. Right.
[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_01] But then Yash made a critical error. He fell for D's lies the same way he had tried to make others fall for his own. And because of that, he and Taylor kept D instead of Angela. That was a mistake he needed to be punished for. And indeed, he was as he was evicted while sitting next to her, which Taryn pointed out on the recap was funny because part of Yash's justification for keeping D was, well, if I sit next to Angela, I go home. If I sit next to D, I don't.
[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Best move. He's weighing his options and he's saying, OK, if D is willing to play ball, which he won't be, then we should be able to come in and we'll have one more person to help us take out this other side. He doesn't have a lot of allies. He doesn't have a lot of outs here. And so I don't really hold it against him too much. But the idea that you would send Angela home over D is actually crazy. You know, it's like I hear what I see where you were going with it, but I just don't agree.
[00:58:05] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And I don't agree. And I do hold it against him. I mean, you know, not that I'm, you know, in the strategic way, because he was with those people. Barrett had chosen him to play the veto. So and instead he keeps D and doesn't tell them on top of it. And the not telling the part really piled on. Now, I have seen some people saying, well, even if he hadn't kept D, the outcome would have been the same.
[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_01] And that's possible, but we'll never know, because this isn't a choose your own adventure story where you could be like, oh, let me flip back to the book where he makes that decision and now follow it elsewhere. It would have meant he would have had a different relationship with Melody when the time came for Melody to make nominations because of what I just said about how he he didn't tell Melody and Drew and Barrett what he was doing. He wouldn't have been seen as working with the icons.
[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_01] He might even not have decided to win HOH if D was already gone. He might not have given up the veto to Drew and so on. The butterfly effect hits and just opens up this world of different possibilities. You can't just say, as I've seen some people doing, well, he still would have lost veto and been put on the block. We don't know that. Who would he have been up against? Angela? Maybe there are other variables, including.
[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_01] A whole potential different layout of alliances. If he had stayed on Barrett's side rather than flipping to the icons without letting Drew and Melody know ahead of time. It put them in a position where they could not trust him going forward. And even if all of that is true and what these these people are saying, it's like, well, it still would have ended up this way.
[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_01] It doesn't excuse the mistake he made. Just like Devin's winning the blockbuster doesn't mean it was OK for him to volunteer for the block. It is still a mistake. You cannot be results oriented. Yeah.
[01:00:10] [SPEAKER_03] With Yash, I feel like so the issue is with me and Yash, the way I look at his game is that if he loses, he needs to go on the block. I don't care who he's with. I don't care who you're aligned with. I think at this point, if Yash loses that competition, he's going on the block. He needs to go home. Now, does Yash have the mouthpiece to survive something like that? Like losing the veto? Like you said, maybe if if Melody wins, she doesn't put him up. If the outcome was different. Yeah, but that would be insane on Melody's part.
[01:00:37] [SPEAKER_03] You know, that was like Melody should be wanting Yash out. I went into this double eviction saying everybody, including Taylor, should be so willing to take out Yash at this point. Because what is the point of keeping Yash around if you're just going to lose with him? If you don't mind getting second place, then sure, keep him around. Now, but to me, yeah, he loses that veto. He's going home or at least he should. Now, if Yash is a capable player, like let's say let's say it's D, right? You have D in the same position. We know that D might survive it. And I don't want to take that from Yash. Maybe Yash would.
[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_03] So you're right. There is an out for Yash if he doesn't, you know, piss off Melody, right? Even, you know, there's that little bit of extra like runway that you would have to be able to talk your way out of that situation if necessary. But Yash's target at this point is so big that I don't think anybody should hear a word that he's saying. If Yash is on that block, he needs to go home.
[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. We'll, of course, talk about that coming up. But yeah, I mean, and that's the thing. It's just multiple things can be true. Yep. He made a strategic mistake. And as you mentioned, as we'll talk about more, he was already a threat. Combined, it was even worse. With one or the other, he would have at least had more of a chance.
[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.
[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_01] But going into the double eviction, Yash felt good. And it's funny because, of course, you know, his famous quote, which was this the one that won on Unlocked? If you're glazing, you won't be glazed. That's what he said. But he was glazed. He was double glazed. He told Mike Bloom, I felt great about going into the double eviction. I thought if the icons won HOH, I would be all right.
[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_01] I thought if Drew won it after we made the deal, I would be all right. And of course, if Taylor won, I knew no matter what, I was saved. And then Melody, I also felt pretty good about. But the thing is, he would not have been all right if the icons or Drew won HOH. None of them were planning to stick with the deals that they had with him. He just did not recognize it.
[01:02:43] [SPEAKER_01] Because, like I said, even though he improved quite a bit through the game, strategizing was still not his best quality.
[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_03] Yes. Yes. I agree with you. But I have to say this. He was using the zillennial version of glaze, not the way that you're using it. His glaze is different. Yeah. His glaze is different. It doesn't. It's not your fault. It's not your fault that they've ruined words. Okay. So I'll give you that. But yeah, you're right. I think strategically, it's just like, you can tell there was, it wasn't all there for Yasha. You know, there was definitely things that he thought he had control of. I think Yasha's, one of his big issues is hubris.
[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_03] I think that was something that I clocked from day one is why he would go home first. Because I was like, he doesn't know what he's doing and he thinks he does. And I think that when the more success he was having in the game, the more he started to feel himself a little bit. And the more the ideas and the plans he had in his head started to make a lot more sense. The things that, you know, when you, when things are going your way, you start to think, oh yeah, because I, because I'm right. I'm in charge. You know, so things will continue going my way.
[01:03:49] [SPEAKER_03] He's not thinking, oh, maybe I'm being played. Because for so many weeks, Yasha has been, he's been fine. You know, like, don't get me wrong. People have been doing things that he doesn't enjoy in the game, but they haven't been able to get Yash specifically. And he's actually getting some momentum. So when people start selling him these dreams, he's willing to buy him because he's kind of got the, he's got some momentum. He's like, yeah, that's right. You would want to do what I want to do. People are telling me what I want to hear because they, because I am that good. I am convincing you. It's like, no, you're not actually that good. These people are better.
[01:04:18] [SPEAKER_03] And it's not necessarily your fault that they're better, but the situation that you're in is not allowing you to see the forest for the trees. You're in too deep. You know, it was like, uh, they're just giving him more and more. They're feeding his ego. You know, Yash, this is what we're going to do. We're going to do these things together. And he's like, yeah, exactly. They are glazing him. They are glazing him. They are glazing him. And there's a linear way.
[01:04:38] [SPEAKER_01] And you came back around. I mean, they're glazing him. Yeah. I mean, you know, I, I still think the way that I talked about it applies, you know, you know, not that I, you know, I just Googled it or anything. Um, but, but no, I mean, yeah, I, the over complimenting the, you know, talking about that, it still put him in a position where he believed them. So yes, I still do think that what I said applies, whether it,
[01:05:06] [SPEAKER_01] you know, I mean, look, I, I got my degree in ceramic engineering. So glazing had a completely different meaning, you know, there. But, uh, but, you know, I still think I was pretty on point with it.
[01:05:20] [SPEAKER_03] They, you know, they glazed Kamu to get him out. You know, it was his, Oh, Kamu, you're so smart. Kamu, you, you, you're so, and Yash and Kamu, they kind of go hand in hand a little bit. You know, they have the same, that's why they were so easily, uh, you know, able to align. It's because they kind of have the same similar worldview, the way they look at the game. Right. It's like, yeah, I am good. And people are telling me I'm good. There's a level of success that he was having and a level of confidence that I think is commendable. But I think at some point, if you let your confidence get to your head, uh, and then people start to force you to believe you start,
[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_03] you start, you start smelling yourself a little bit. You start believing your own hype. And I think that made them more susceptible to their, uh, to their lives.
[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, that was rule one. So it's time to go to the second rule. The other ones will be much shorter. Uh, the second rule says not to scheme and plot too much and to keep your scheming secret. Barrett was okay here for most of the game, but then he made a key mistake along with Mallory and melody when all of them overthought the situation and decided to throw the HOH comp at D one, which of course led to Mallory's eviction.
[01:06:26] [SPEAKER_01] Barrett's podcast partner posted on blue sky that he drilled into Barrett not to throw comps. And yet there we were.
[01:06:35] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Um, such it's, it's happened so much. It happened so much this season where people were like, I shouldn't throw a cop, but I'm going to outsmart my logic. You know, I'm going to, I'm going to go one step further. It's like, Oh, people think I shouldn't throw a cop. So I'm going to actually throw the cop because that'll make it. It's like, no, no, no, no, no. Come back. Come back. Because if you, by maintaining power, you maintain access to a lot of people in the house. You get so much information and you keep yourself and your allies safe. Barrett is doing all this sobbing and complaining.
[01:07:03] [SPEAKER_03] And he makes this big move against the ally because he lost Mallory. But Barrett, whose fault? Whose fault is this really? You know, let's track this back to the moment where multiple people in your alliance are saying, I could have won this, but I didn't. So the way Barrett is mad at the allies, sure. I mean, the icons, sure. They're his allies. They betrayed him, whatever. But you betrayed your alliance first. When you decided to throw HOH, you should have just won it and then made the move and being able to stand in that.
[01:07:33] [SPEAKER_03] But everybody trying to play so cute. Everybody trying to lay low, play in the middle. It's like, no, at some point you have to take control of the game. Had Barrett taking control of the game, then Mallory might still be around. So then when you get to the jury and you flip on the icons, Oh, look, look at that. Oh my God. I got numbers now. You know, I got extra people. I got other people. The pipe queen was, she wasn't awful at challenges. It'd be nice to have her around to win HOH. It may be, you know, but everybody was getting a little too cute in their gameplay. And then by throwing the challenge,
[01:08:03] [SPEAKER_03] they all left themselves vulnerable for whatever D wanted to do. And that's what happened.
[01:08:09] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. And, you know, again, I still get comments. People are like, well, he shouldn't have won. He should have made the move at, final eight. He should have thrown that HOH. And then won a later one. Like, did you see what happened the last time he threw?
[01:08:27] [SPEAKER_02] Mm-hmm. Did you see?
[01:08:30] [SPEAKER_01] But yeah, then during and after his HOH, things went further awry for him here. For example, for no reason, he told Drew, hey, I plan to vote you out. That was completely unnecessary. I still don't understand why he did it. And then, of course, he told Drew, he would pick him for veto and was okay with him using it on Angela if he wanted. And then changed his mind and went with Yash instead because he didn't want nominations to change, which, okay,
[01:09:00] [SPEAKER_01] look, I get it. I know we've talked about this decision already. But even if you make that decision, you need to tell Drew before it actually happens. Because then Drew was understandably very much not happy with either of those situations.
[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_03] Barrett is now in his hypocrite era, okay? He's so mad because they lied to him about Mallory. They betrayed Mallory. Nobody told me the truth about Mallory. So then the first time he gets power, he lies to Drew. Why did you lie to him? All you had to do was say, Drew, uh-uh. I want them. I want them icons gone. I don't trust you to use the, to not use the veto. So I'm not putting you, I'm not going to put you in that position to play. That's it. That's all you had to say. Especially if you later on,
[01:09:48] [SPEAKER_03] you will go on and tell him to his face that you planned on voting him out. You know what I'm saying? Like if you try to like snow him and think like, oh yeah, I do trust you. Um, I don't think he's in any position to really fight back. You're the HOH. You're in charge. Tell him we're not doing that. This is what I want to happen. And Drew has no, no choice but to fall in line. But by just pulling the wool over his eyes and making him look silly while he's sitting there hoping for his bestie in the house, his number one ally in the house to choose him for this. It looks like, dang, am I the target? Are you coming after me?
[01:10:17] [SPEAKER_03] Cause you didn't have any reason to lie to me. Right. And so for Drew to be upset like that, it's like, yeah, Barrett, look at what happened the first time you got power. So it's hard for you, for me to sit around and watch people be so salty when they, uh, when they, when they get blindsided and stuff like that, but then go in blindside people and say things like, all the icons are being such brats. There's nobody else acting like this. What are you talking about? This is a FAPS MO since week one, salty, complaining, whining, crying, yelling,
[01:10:45] [SPEAKER_03] screaming in the diary room. It happens because when you have power, you have to make hard decisions and Barrett's hard decisions weren't the cleanest decisions.
[01:10:56] [SPEAKER_01] No, no. Now moving on to Yash, he did more of this sort of thing than Barrett in part, because as we discussed in the first rule, he was learning on the go, which meant sometimes he went too far. Uh, it's kind of like when you learn to drive a car, you know, having taught two kids how to drive. Okay.
[01:11:16] [SPEAKER_02] You need to, yeah,
[01:11:17] [SPEAKER_01] you know, you need to, you know, you need to hit the brake, but sometimes you hit it too hard and all of a sudden everybody in the car is jerked forwards, you know? So you need to learn where, you know, where that middle ground is way back on day six. Uh, Taylor talked, talked to melody about Yash over scheming and suggesting that melody lyric and Mallory could be nominated as a trio.
[01:11:43] Uh,
[01:11:43] [SPEAKER_01] so like, you know, Taylor then wasn't real fond of the way Yash was, was acting. Uh, that settled down once he entered his quiet phase. But then of course we got the situation, which we just talked about him flipping to save D and doing so without telling Drew and melody for no reason, leaving them hanging and not feeling good about him and Taylor.
[01:12:10] [SPEAKER_01] It's very reminiscent of when the icons flipped on fog. And voted out lyric and saved melody without telling them again, there was no reason. Now it worked out okay for them in that situation, but many people noted at the time, there was no reason not to tell Chagbu. Chagbu would have been on board with it. They would have been fine with it. Melody and Drew would have been on board with this vote to get rid of Angela.
[01:12:39] [SPEAKER_01] Melody even suggested it at one point, but no, they decided to do it in secret, surprise them and therefore make themselves untrustworthy when they could have had multiple options instead. And, you know, that's one of the, it's especially bad when you realize one of the key reasons Barrett jumped to the side of Yash and Taylor.
[01:13:07] [SPEAKER_01] And against the icons was also when the icons made an alliance with Mallory and then turned on her immediately. That's the same thing Yash and Taylor did to him. And so Melody knew she could not trust them when it came time to make her replacement nomination in the double eviction. There's no way she could trust them by putting her number one ally on the block.
[01:13:32] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. It's so, it's so bad. It's really, it's so bad because you don't have to blindside people in Big Brother. You don't, you do not have to blindside people. They choose to. It's fun TV. We'd love it, but there's no immunity idol that this person can use if they, you know, if they, if they sniff out that it's going to be them. Don't get me wrong. They can, they can definitely, you know, go and campaign and stuff like that, but your allies,
[01:14:01] [SPEAKER_03] the people you're working with, you don't have to blindside those people. They don't have to be on the wrong side of a vote for you to still be targeting them in the future or for you to still, still want them out the game. But the, I think the icons said like really set a precedent for bad gameplay and made it in normalized it. Cause the icons were doing this stuff on purpose. The icons would see the right, the right path. Okay. Yeah. This is what we're going to do. But wouldn't it be fun if we just blindsided them and then left our allies out and just did it because we could. And we know they did that because they talked about it. You know,
[01:14:31] [SPEAKER_03] it's not like we speculate that the icons were just doing this for the laws. We heard D and Devin's not in confession, not in the diary room, but in the house to be like, I'm bored. Don't you? Wouldn't it be cool? Wouldn't it be funny if we did this? They were doing this stuff for the laws and it worked out for them. It's not going to work out for everybody. It's actually going to be the, the, the detriment of most people. And, uh, Yasha is going to feel that because him and Taylor did not have to blindside these people. If you plan on working with them in the future,
[01:14:59] [SPEAKER_03] you should let them know because that's how you build allies. And that's how you win for friends and influence people. As they say, um, you isolate people and piss them off by not telling them these things. And, uh, they made a calculated, uh, a calculated effort to not tell these people. They did that on purpose. Now, what do you plan on gaming for that? Who knows? I don't know what to this day. Don't know why you didn't tell those people. Right. But those are the choices that Yash made.
[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And of course, another choice Yash made was continuing to lie about the bribe, uh, which he did for essentially no reason. He, he had to go out of his way to create these like elaborate reasons for his nominations, rather than just saying, yeah, D was telling the truth. You know, I'm sorry. I didn't tell you sooner, but I didn't feel like I could. He, he had to tell Barrett that his handshake deal with Devons was so important that he
[01:15:52] [SPEAKER_01] couldn't possibly go against it. It was transparent. And again, it meant the others couldn't trust him.
[01:16:01] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. When he first gets the, when the bribe is first being basically used against him, like I get why you would lie because you don't want people to think I am not valuable to you because I cannot target the icons. The icons are literally banking on what we're going to keep them around because if you know, he can't target us. And so, uh, like I know why you wouldn't say it then, but then once you win power and you know, you're about to start at that point, you have to say, all right, I said, I said what I said because I thought y'all were going to vote me out. If I didn't now I'm in control. And let me tell you, I have no choice,
[01:16:31] [SPEAKER_03] but to put them, they are not wrong. They did not lie. I'm so happy. Angela's gone. Uh, you know, like I'm still with you, but I have no choice, but to do this. Right. And then once we get through this round, come back to me, please. I don't want them in the game. They strong army. I would have gone home if I didn't take the bribe. It's not like he had a lot of options. They were, they're like, take the bribe or you're going on the block. And then your only hope at that point is to either politic your way off, um, or to, um,
[01:17:01] [SPEAKER_03] or to actually win the blockbuster, which he doesn't have an awful child at, but it's not great. If you can keep yourself off the block, you want to stay off the block. And so I think that, yeah, if Yash comes in from a place of, all right, look, here's what it is. I need you in the game. I want to work with you in the game. Here's what we have to do. We got to get rid of some of this dead weight. We don't have a choice. Somebody's got to go. But after that is me and you against them. And just come from a trustworthy standpoint, instead of lying so much to where Barrett doesn't even know, like he's like, man,
[01:17:30] [SPEAKER_03] maybe the icons are right. Maybe y'all suck. You know, maybe, maybe you are the problem, right? Maybe because Angela's yelling, like they got passionate about the idea that he was lying. So the lying became such like the narrative in the house, right? It was less about the bribe and like more about, well, I keep telling you, you're going to, you're going to regret this. He's lying to you. He's lying to you. Yeah. Yash, if you came to him first and said like, look, I had to lie because I needed to survive the round. I needed to make sure I was not going up.
[01:17:57] [SPEAKER_03] But now that I've told you that let's start to make some moves and then we could, we can start to move forward together. And he just, he didn't capitalize on that. He was, he, he had already talked about how doubling down on the lie was his strategy. You know, if you could lie or go home, then lie every time. I think he, he didn't realize you don't have to lie all the time.
[01:18:14] [SPEAKER_01] Right? Yeah. Yeah. I, I, I agree with you that he should have told them, Hey, I had to take the bribe. I had no choice. Otherwise I was going up. I don't agree that that wasn't the actual fact. And I'll talk about that later rule here. I do think he had more wiggle room. When D proposed the bribe. I guess I'll talk about that later for now. We can go to the third rule, which talks about the need to be flexible. And.
[01:18:44] [SPEAKER_01] We've talked about various aspects of Barrett's game, but how do you think he did in this rule?
[01:18:50] [SPEAKER_03] I can't really knock Barrett about being flexible. I think that he worked with a lot of different people in the house. I think he was in a ton of, you know, alliances that did really well in the game, but he also was willing to leave those alliances when it suited him. We saw that he was going after drew at points, even though he was really aligned with drew. We saw that he was going after Devins at point, even though he was aligned with Devins. And then when it came time to flip on the, the icons who he had been so close to throughout the game, he was willing to flip on them as well. There are definitely points where I think he could have been more flexible
[01:19:19] [SPEAKER_03] for sure. You know, his idea that, Oh, I'm going to stay with the icons. I'm going to play the middle. It's like, yeah, that's cool. But when it's time for you to win HOH, you need to win HOH, right? You can't be so rigid in your strategy to where you're throwing HOH, leaving yourself and your allies vulnerable, and then losing Mallory in a critical position where you could have had her in the jury. You know, Mallory being the jury alongside Melody and drew Barrett, that's three votes locked in immediately. Right. If you could make it to the end,
[01:19:49] [SPEAKER_03] you got three that, you know, as long as you got, nothing goes awry, you got three votes locked in, you know, a little flexibility and making sure that Mallory was one of the people who made it to the jury in that moment by winning HOH. It definitely could have given you a lot more life in the game. You'd have another shooter on your, on your side to win HOH. And so, you know, we're going to go back to that moment a lot because it's definitely like a crucial moment in the game. Right. It was, it was a turning point for so many people's games.
[01:20:16] [SPEAKER_03] It really allowed the icons to grasp control one more time as they went into jury, a spot that most people would say they shouldn't even be in, but it's also a point where Barrett loses one of his key numbers and ends up in a position where he knows he can't trust the icons. He has a flip, blah, blah, blah. And so I'll give him credit for flexibility, but you know, he could have done more.
[01:20:35] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. And I think the type of flexibility he had, like, you know, like we've talked about, they, you know, he was in multiple alliances and yes, a lot of them overlapped, but some didn't, you know, he had the crossovers. He also had FAP as a side gig though. Of course, the problems really started when he helped bring FAP in as part of the mosh pit, but that goes back to what you were saying. Still having those sub alliances and multiple potential final four,
[01:21:04] [SPEAKER_01] three or two allies was the proper way to do things. The problem was he tried to change horses midstream. After getting fed up with the icons, but like he, he didn't have a life vest. He didn't, he, he was jumping from one horse to the other, but decided mid leap, like, no, do I really want to land on that horse? Do I really have the energy to land on that horse? Or maybe I should just, you know, land in the river and see where it takes me.
[01:21:34] [SPEAKER_01] Mm. Yeah.
[01:21:36] [SPEAKER_03] He, I, I, you know, we can knock a lot of people for flexibility. I don't think Barrett, if we had to rank all of his, his flaws in the game, I don't think flexibility is one of his big, one of the big ones.
[01:21:45] [SPEAKER_01] Okay. Well, you said we can knock a lot of people. Are you going to knock Yash for this rule? Absolutely.
[01:21:50] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I think that for Yash, I think Yash, again, I think he kind of, we talked about these people's ego so much this season, but they really did become a lot of like, just believing your own hype so much to where what you thought was going to happen was going to happen. And you weren't going to do a lot of work to make sure it happened. You know, it was like these conversations where you're talking about, well, we got to get the icons together. There's so many times where Yash was in a room with four or five people saying, well, you know, the icons are going next, you know, the icons are going next. It's like, that is not great. You know, we saw when Taylor and Lala were in that situation where Taylor goes and
[01:22:20] [SPEAKER_03] gets in the shower. Cause she's like, some people in here can't be trusted. You know, you cannot just assume all these people want to get the icons out. We saw when Yash won HOH, he's like, a woman is going home. Why? Because I want that to happen. You know, it's like, right. Well, people are pitching other ideas. You know, are you sure? Do you want to do this? Do you want to do that? Nope. I want a woman going home. A woman's going home. There's nothing you can tell me. And on the one hand, I give him credit for not being easily swayed. On the other hand is HOH ends up getting hijacked and Kamu goes home. And so it's like, maybe if you were a little bit more flexible,
[01:22:50] [SPEAKER_03] that wouldn't have happened on your HOH. You know, maybe that could have been something you could have avoided. So I think that, yeah, I think, and then of course, toward the end, when Yash is in this pressure cooker and he's up against Drew, I think in the retelling of this, when I was listening to Taryn talk about the pressure cooker, he was talking about how Yash was sick and Yash had been there for 12 hours and Drew was getting on his nerve and Drew was gaining momentum. And Yash was failing. Okay, cool. Yash probably was going to lose anyway.
[01:23:19] [SPEAKER_03] I don't mind him making a deal here. It's not the worst thing that could happen. But then you go to Yash in the, in the diary room. And Yash is like, I threw it. I could have won. I was going to win. I could have done this all night. I could have done this all night. He would have never beat me. I only, the only reason he even got that, that key is because I let him have it. Like, wait a minute, hold on. Yash, you what? You threw the competition. You could have, cause like, who am I going to believe, right? What I saw, what you're saying, right? Cause if I, cause I thought I was giving you the benefit of the doubt,
[01:23:47] [SPEAKER_03] but if you want to take that away from me to prove that you had like some type of grasp on the game and okay, let's go off of what you're saying. Yash, you threw the HOH. I mean, you threw the veto competition in a crucial spot. Where you have your biggest ops dead to rights. According to you, I could do this all night, right? You have them dead to rights. All you have to do is win. You're in the final two. You've been there. You said, I threw this challenge. Yash, what the hell is that? So yeah, I have to knock him because he said it.
[01:24:17] [SPEAKER_03] If he didn't say it, I'd be like, all right, whatever. But if you want to own that, you threw the HO, the veto competition to drew your biggest op only to go home shortly after that's on you.
[01:24:27] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. I feel the same way that you do. Normally almost all the time. I will take what they say in the diary room is the truth. In this case, I think he was glazing himself. I think that he didn't want to admit that drew could have beaten him. I think that he, I think that they didn't want him to talk about being sick because they almost totally ignored the fact that this illness had spread through the house,
[01:24:56] [SPEAKER_01] which doesn't speak well of, you know, their policies in terms of how did you allow a bug to get into that house and spread through and possibly impact the game. So I think that, you know, there was some of that going on, but either way, like you said, he said it. Okay. Then show it, prove it, prove that you, you could have done that or else we are going to knock you for it. Like you said. Now,
[01:25:25] [SPEAKER_01] another place that he did not have flexibility goes back to what I was just saying in the second rule that we would get to, which is the bribe because he got pinned by it. Uh, he told Mike bloom, the BB bribe kind of neutralized me. It felt like I was a lion in a cage. I was going into these competitions knowing it wasn't in my best interest to win. So it made it difficult to play the game at times because I couldn't just do what I wanted to do. There was literally decisions that were made for me as a result of the bribe.
[01:25:53] [SPEAKER_01] So it made my game more complicated than it needed to be. And yeah, he's right. But again, this is where I come back to. It was his decision. Yes. D put a lot of pressure on him. D threatened him, but she couldn't actually force him to do it. And he could have tried to like, at least negotiate it. Like from what we saw, he didn't even try saying, look, not being able to nominate you three of you.
[01:26:23] [SPEAKER_01] That's ridiculous. How about just, I give you safe. Can we do that? And I think she would have gone for it. This was her opening bid. You know, you never go with, you never accept the opening bid. Yeah. And, and Barrett noted something similar as he told Dalton Ross, I think that taking that bribe, he took it in a deal with all of the icons when he very much could have taken a path of going fully against the icons without needing that HOH week where
[01:26:52] [SPEAKER_01] he couldn't put them up. He was the most likely to win HOH out of any of us at that point. He's the best at the competitions. So to full on make a deal with three people that didn't have to honor it themselves and have this week where he had no option, but to nominate the people that actually would have fought for him to go against the icons and continue that. I think that was a huge mistake. And I agree with Barrett.
[01:27:17] [SPEAKER_03] Which week, when did he get bribed? Do you remember who was a, who went on the block instead of him? No, I don't either. He was, he was the HOH. Oh, is this the Mallory boot?
[01:27:31] [SPEAKER_01] Might've been the Mallory boot.
[01:27:32] [SPEAKER_03] I think this is the Mallory boot. I think, I think this is the Mallory boot. If I remember correctly. And I, and I might not, cause I don't, I don't remember. Cause it's been so long. We've been talking about the bribe, but, um, Yash also, although he took the bribe, you could still win. You could still win. He doesn't, he, he chose to go with the idea that I'm going to throw because I cannot target the icons. Okay. Well, but if you don't throw, what if you just go ahead and win, target somebody else. And then boom, now look at the icons there. They're,
[01:28:02] [SPEAKER_03] they're open and available for you to target. You know, um, there are other strategies he could have used with the bribe. He went with, I'm going to, you know, choose to throw it. And that's the, because I can't until I can get to them, I'm not going to win. That's what he tried. It didn't work. Uh, but you know, there is a, there is another school of thought that would say, okay, well you can just win. It's your, your safety for another week, target another person who's a threat to you, who's not named the icons.
[01:28:31] [SPEAKER_03] And then the next time you have a chance to put the icons up. Now you're not beholden to the bribe. Uh, but a lot of people were like, Oh yeah, he's throwing it. He's throwing, he's throwing it. Yes. But he doesn't have to, he does not. If the, if the bribe was, you will throw HOH. If you know, every round into the final five, if I give you this bribe, then fine, you gotta, he took it. You gotta do it. But that's not the nature of the bribe. The bribe was, you have to keep us safe. Uh, if you are in power, you, you have to keep us safe. Right. Okay.
[01:29:01] [SPEAKER_03] Do that for one round. Do it week seven. I mean, week, week eight or whatever. Do it week nine. Um, or right after week eight, I guess, cause week eight was two parts, right? It was the medieval times and then, you know, whatever. But then now week nine. Yeah. You are, you're looking at a different outcome, right? You can now target the HO. You could now target the, uh, the people in the house, but you know, or maybe you, you just win and save yourself that round. And then look, week 10, you're available to target the, uh, the icons and Oh, look, it's week 10 where you went home. So, you know,
[01:29:31] [SPEAKER_03] there are other ways, you know, I I'm not saying I knocked the decision, but it wasn't like it was set in stone that he had to go on and throw all these, uh, these challenges.
[01:29:40] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. He could have been flexible before he got bribed. He could have been flexible after he got bribed. He didn't either. Yeah. That's it. Yeah. All right. Well, the fourth rule says players should not let their emotions control them. We talked in the first rule about how Barrett didn't do what he needed to, to secure his moves against the icons when he was HOH. And you even brought up at the time, he, you know, he couldn't, couldn't face the icons at that point.
[01:30:09] [SPEAKER_01] So what would you say about, you know, this rule being at the root of that problem?
[01:30:14] [SPEAKER_03] That's really where I'm going to go. You know, I think people were being kind to Barrett when he, when it happened, they were saying, Oh, his, his social battery is low. He's, he's just drained. I was like, that is not what's happening here. That's not, I was like, if pipe queen was in the house, his social battery will be fine. Um, I think his feelings are hurt and I don't mind the move against the icon. Even if it's out of spite, I don't mind it. They have to go at some point they have to go. So I don't care, but it is that, okay, I'm now sad because I have now made my friends upset and they are guilting me.
[01:30:41] [SPEAKER_03] And Angela's giving me the one tear and Barrett had a stone face killer, uh, like mentality toward them at first. Like, Nope, sorry. It's gotta be one of you. Sorry. It's going to be one of you. And that was cool for day one for day two, but they three of them doing that. They four of them do that D walking past you and not talking to you. Devin's giving you the disappointed dad looks, Angela crying every time she's in a room with it. It started to take toll. He started to feel empathy, started to feel sympathy. He started to feel guilt. And those things did control how he handled that. And then,
[01:31:10] [SPEAKER_03] and then once they, uh, got past that week and he ended up back on the block, he started to suck because he was sad because now he's looking at his game with, uh, like slipping away and people are still actively playing. Downstairs, you know, D was blind, side. you know, bear put her up and D was mad. She was mad. She was sad. She cried. And D got to work the rest of that week. And that's why she survived. And Barrett did not get to work.
[01:31:37] [SPEAKER_01] Nope. He did the opposite. He, he took a, he took sick days, you know, he took mental health days. Um, yeah. If, if Barrett had made this move against other people who he didn't have such a good relationship with, I think he would have handled it better. But when D and Devin's came down so hard on him, telling him, you'll regret this your whole life, uh, making things difficult for him to even socialize.
[01:32:04] [SPEAKER_01] He just retreated into the HOH room because that was easier than dealing with it. Uh, we discussed it a bit last week. Devin's admitted to Barrett this week that they made things uncomfortable for him on purpose as part of their game moves. You have to give D and Devin's credit for that. It worked. You may not like it. You may, you know, there's a lot of people saying, oh, I couldn't stand the way they acted, uh, when, when they were nominated,
[01:32:34] [SPEAKER_01] they'd been in power so long and they just acted like babies. Well, part of it was that part of it was they over exaggerated their reactions to pressure him. And it worked. He hid away that allowed them to have plenty of time to work on Yash and Taylor with D of course succeeding. And then we further already talked about how he didn't even do much lobbying for himself this week, especially early in the week when he could have,
[01:33:03] [SPEAKER_01] I think that's all related also. So,
[01:33:05] [SPEAKER_03] man, D and Devin's are really good. It's almost like they played these games before, you know,
[01:33:10] [SPEAKER_01] I don't weird.
[01:33:11] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. Weird.
[01:33:13] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, D D has never like had a good relationship with a guy and taken him to the end. And then, you know, uh, you know, tossed him aside at say the final jury or anything like that. Right. She's never, never had that.
[01:33:29] [SPEAKER_03] Never lied to anybody. Never manipulated anybody. Not D, not D. Not Devin's. Neither. None of these people have done these things. It's just, yeah, yeah,
[01:33:37] [SPEAKER_01] yeah. Crazy how it works. Now, I do think Barrett fully understands this is a game. He's indicated they'll all be friends when it's done. So that part is good. But within the game itself, he had these issues.
[01:33:49] [SPEAKER_03] He's into deep. He was into deep. His feelings was, his feelings were wrapped up in these people. And it's, and it's, it's normal. Okay. It is normal to feel an emotional connection to people in the big brother house. But the winners, the people who are good at big brother are able to separate those things and say, okay, that is a normal emotion, but I need to make a different move despite that. Or I need to make sure my game includes those emotions in them. Right. And so for Barrett, him, his game being a contingent by design on,
[01:34:19] [SPEAKER_03] I am going to backstab my allies in flip on them when it's opportune. That's a calculated choice that he made. He said, I would always intended on getting in good with them, which is good and turning on them, which is good. But when it came time to do it, he didn't, he didn't have the, you know, he didn't have to follow through. He did. His heart wasn't in it.
[01:34:40] [SPEAKER_01] Right. Right. So switching to Yash, how do you think he did with this rule?
[01:34:46] [SPEAKER_03] Um, I don't think Yash did great. I think like Yash is good at, I think Yash is good at, um, like compartmentalizing. I think that yet there, you're never going to catch, you're never going to get them slipping, right? You're never going to get Yash, uh, like riled up. You know, we see Angela coming at him and swear on your brother. Yash not going there with you. You know, they, they've tried, they try these different tactics with Yash. Yash is really good. And like, nope, this is what I'm going to do. This is how I feel. I'm not going to, it's a game. Like that is Yash to a T. So I'll give him a ton of credit for that.
[01:35:16] [SPEAKER_03] I do think that Yash started to feel himself a little too much when it came to the, the, the inner reactions, the interactions he was having with his enemies, his enemies, they started to get under his skin. He, by this point in the game, he hates Drew. I'm talking about hates Drew to where it's so obvious that somebody like Drew will not have a working relationship with you. We are watching them make this, this bride. I mean, this, this deal at the pressure cooker. And the whole time we're watching at home,
[01:35:46] [SPEAKER_03] like there's no way this is real, right? This can't, this can't be real, right? This can't, is this real? This is their way. Well, maybe it is. I mean, I could see it. Like we're trying to reason why this will work, but anytime you cut to Yash, you're like, I hate this guy. I hate this guy. And then he started to let his guard down this week. He started to really be like, maybe Drew ain't so bad. They started to really start. Drew started really working on him. Drew started really working on him, getting him to let his guard down. And once he did, that's where he got the ax. And so, yeah, I think that Yash really had, he really had his, his,
[01:36:13] [SPEAKER_03] his sights set on Drew specifically. But it was a emotional connection. It wasn't, it wasn't like strategically. I need Drew out. It was, I dislike him. I don't like him in the game. I want him out. I think he's a weasel. I don't like the way he plays the game. I don't like the way he moves. Like, but yeah, if you don't, if you weren't so openly anti Drew, then maybe you would use that connection. And that, to move the game for it. Drew knows that you throw this challenge to him. Like he's, he's going to get you to throw this challenge. Cause he's going to lie. He's going to cheat. He's going to steal to get you to do it.
[01:36:43] [SPEAKER_03] And then even though it's a hard decision, he doesn't mind cutting you because y'all really weren't that close. Y'all weren't that cool because you never really liked him. And he knows it.
[01:36:53] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And I mean, now the, the one thing about Yash, I will say is despite not liking Drew in the game, you know, he couldn't stand the way he played outside. He's like, yeah, we'll get along. And, you know, similarly within the game, they, they broke down sometimes until the end there, he stayed on target with him. And that was why I, like you said, gave him credit and said, well,
[01:37:21] [SPEAKER_01] he was clearly feeling it and knew he was going to lose, which is why he made this deal. Until he said something different in, in the diary room. Categorically, not that. Right. Right. And he even had a diary room confessional looking back on the veto where he talked about their discussions and said, he talked about their discussions and said, I know not to make an emotional decision about something that could be strategic, which is a little confusing in the end. It's like, okay,
[01:37:48] [SPEAKER_01] then did you think accepting this deal was strategic? I, I, I don't know. It's confusing to me at this point when he says these contradictory things.
[01:37:59] [SPEAKER_03] Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I think in Yasha's mind, he needed more allies to win. These people telling him, I want to win with you. It's, it's that, uh, the argument that we hear so much. I want to go to the best with the end. You know, it should be us. We should just run this thing. Should we just win all the challenges and just sit next to each other? And let's just let this, let's just bro down to the end. Like, what are these other people going to do to stop us? I think that's exactly what you say to somebody like Yash.
[01:38:23] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah, exactly. All right. The fifth rule tells players they need to pretend to be nice and play the social game. I think when it came to both Barrett and Yash, I would say their social games were a huge part of their success to this point. Barrett even told Julie, my bread and butter was making friends. Uh, you know, he went around snuggling up to so many different people. His nickname on blue sky was Horat. You know, in an August 11th camera talk, he said,
[01:38:52] [SPEAKER_01] if the house views me as someone who is nice, cuddly, smells good or whatever, that's nice. I'll take that. And I'll run with that as long as I can. And he did. Even when the icons started worrying about trusting him, they still never really put him in the same category as drew because drew always seemed so sketchy while, Barrett was this big, lovable, huggable guy.
[01:39:19] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. When he won HOH, everybody was happy. I was like, Oh yeah, we're good. We're good with Barrett. We're good with Barrett. Cause I like, he likes me. I like him. We're friends. We're good. We got a good relationship. He wouldn't put me up. He has other, he has bigger fish to fry. He has other things to do. And so, you know, it was great. I think he did a good job. I can't think of anybody who said like, I mean, don't get me wrong. The icon said some pretty scathing things about him in the end, but I think that throughout the game, nobody could say they actively disliked Barrett in the house.
[01:39:47] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Now I do think Yash was in a similar though, not as good position though, with a lot less hugging. What are your thoughts on his social game?
[01:39:57] [SPEAKER_03] A similar, like you said, he didn't have those connections like with melody and Mallory at first or whatever, but they didn't hate them. You know, there were definitely moments where, you know, they, they were annoyed at each other cause they weren't on the same page relationship wise, as far as like, you know, in the game. But again, no one's sitting here like, you know, I'll never vote for Yash in the end. You know, even, even Angela, when she says it, she's saying it cause she doesn't like the idea that he is lying and getting her out. But she also says like, ah, I changed my mind, you know, like it'll be fine, you know? So yeah,
[01:40:25] [SPEAKER_03] I think Yash does a really good job of being somebody that you could just talk to and that they could come to and really vibe with. He seems like a fun dude to hang out with, even though he was anti Devin's him and Devin's had a good relationship, even though he's anti Drew, Drew, like I said, toward the end starts to feel that, okay, Yash hates me. And it became obvious, but he did keep it under wraps for a while. So, you know, he probably didn't even feel like that for the entire game, but there was, like I said, you rarely could go catch Yash slipping and put him in a situation where he
[01:40:54] [SPEAKER_03] would show you emotionally what he, what he thinks about you. Um, he's not going to get you. You're not going to get them off, off, off balance like that a lot. And so that really allowed him to make those connections with everybody.
[01:41:05] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. I agree. I think he got along well with pretty much everyone. It's not like people wanted him out because they were mad at him or any thing like that. There were other reasons, which takes us to the sixth rule because it says not to be too much of a threat. And this is a biggie. So I'm going to flip the order here and start with Yash. Uh, he was seen as a threat almost from the start in, in the first week,
[01:41:33] [SPEAKER_01] Barrett talked about possibly targeting him. Chuck said similar things, et cetera. But then probably because Yash realized it, he decided to lie low when it came to comps. Suddenly people weren't so worried about him anymore. And that lasted for a while until he decided it was time to come to the surface again. And then as Taron noted for a while, he won every comp that he actually wanted to win,
[01:42:02] [SPEAKER_01] which was great for him, except it made it so clear that he was the biggest comp threat in the game, which multiple people talked about. They even saw that just before the renomination and vote, he came a close second in the veto. While as D said, she had like two pieces of that puzzle at that point. And most importantly, melody knew that he was a big threat as she told Taylor right after the vote
[01:42:28] [SPEAKER_01] that she was thinking of doing that even before she won because she had lost. She had barely lost several comps to Yash and, as I noted, he was the strongest comp threat. Plus there was then a scene of her on BB unlocked right after the vote saying she felt Yash would have run away with the game if he hadn't gone out. And sure, she probably would have preferred to take out an icon, but in many ways, Yash was a bigger threat for her.
[01:42:58] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. What are you going to do? You, you start winning these challenges. People are going to look at you and Yash has been winning the challenges since week one. I believe he, I think he wins the blockbuster, right? And so he wins, he wins the blockbuster. He comes really close in a bunch of competition. I think he wins the veto the very next week. No, no, that's Devin who wins the veto next week, but he, he comes really close to winning the wall competition as well. You know, he's, he, we know that there are challenges that he could win that he's throwing or whatever. He wins the veto week six.
[01:43:27] [SPEAKER_03] He wins the HOH week six as well. He will go on to like throw himself in against dog to take her out of the game at some point, because he's that confident in his abilities to win the game. You know, it just, it becomes one thing after another. He ends up winning the veto in week eight, right after the thought thing. He goes and wins the veto there. Then he wins the veto again. Week nine. It's like, yeah, if he's winning the veto, we can't vote him out. And like I said, at this point, everybody in the game,
[01:43:56] [SPEAKER_03] Taylor included should be looking at Yasha's. Okay. I can't beat this guy in a competition. So he's going to be at the end. And if I'm sitting next to him at the end, can I beat him? And if you have been winning HOH and you have had power, you've got to backstab people. You've had to lie to people. And so those people can hold that against you. There's not a lot that you can hold against Yash to that point. So I think that his threat level was too high. Uh, uh, the odds were in his favor. Uh, and, uh, he was very confident in his own abilities to, to, to keep going further. Right. So, um, yeah.
[01:44:26] [SPEAKER_03] To what's that? Six or seven challenges that he, I think he won one, two, three, four, five. Yeah. Five or six challenges. Uh, it's not easy to do in this, in this, uh, season of big brother a lot. Like I think that there's not barely any like repeat HOHs. I think Devin only has two. And so, uh, yeah, for Yash to be in a situation where he has two and a blockbuster and, uh, the dog challenge and the veto and the veto and the veto. It makes him a huge threat.
[01:44:51] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And you know, it wasn't, I mean, I mentioned, of course, melody being one of the people that saw him as a huge threat, but the decision came down to drew. And it's funny because even though Barrett was already gone, Barrett may have had an out, uh, an impact on the outcome because he had told drew earlier in the week that the double eviction would be the perfect time to take out Yash because they knew he couldn't play for HOH. There would be no blockbuster. So there was one comp.
[01:45:21] [SPEAKER_01] And if, if someone could just beat him in the veto, he was available to take out, uh, Barrett compared it to taking out. Michael just beat him in one thing and send him packing. And that is what happened. Now don't get me wrong. D is obviously a huge threat herself and she may go on to win. People may go back to this and say, this is why they drew should have voted out D instead. But I,
[01:45:50] [SPEAKER_01] this was the choice that was presented. Melody was not going to put drew on the block. As we discussed earlier, she could have put Taylor up, but then there's no guarantee of getting a strong competitor because, uh, Drew might've flipped and taken out Taylor. Drew is certainly no fan of Taylor. We know this, uh, melody forced a situation where one of the top three people in the house
[01:46:20] [SPEAKER_01] was going period. And Yash had other factors that could play in his favor. If he made it to the end, such as the things we've talked about here, including his social game. Plus there may be some thought that the jury will be less likely to vote for an icon to win, especially an icon that already won a million dollars.
[01:46:41] [SPEAKER_03] Mm. Yeah. I don't really know what he could have done at this point to, to make his threat level any lower because it was too late. I think it's at this point, it was too late. You should be downplaying your threat level. A lot of times, right? Like if you realize I'm not going to win the wall cop and not to say that he realized it, but if you think you're not going to win the wall, Hey, let me drop. Kamu, Kamu got it. You know what I'm saying? Lala wins it. Cool bet. That's fine. But do I need to look like I was the other option to win that? Maybe not. You know, um, um, I think that him throwing himself in against thog, that is a declaration of war. You know,
[01:47:10] [SPEAKER_03] that is me saying, I got, I got it. I'm going to take her out to save my allies. And it was a calculator. It's that he, and he, and he really excelled in that. But if I'm, if I'm anybody else, I'm like, dang, Josh did that on purpose. He did that because he knew he could be there. Haley's a D one athlete. You know, it's not like she's a slouch and challenges in general. She's got beaten like five of them in a row that day. Um, but, uh, but yeah, I think that, um, aside from the challenge, uh, prowess, which obviously to me makes him the biggest threat is like, yeah, you can let somebody who wins a lot of challenges,
[01:47:40] [SPEAKER_03] make it to the end, but you have to neutralize the other things that they have in there in their disposal. And he had too many friends that were going to be on the jury by the end.
[01:47:47] [SPEAKER_01] Right. Right. Now as for Barrett, I don't consider him to be nearly the threat that Yash was. However, he was a threat specifically to the icons as he'd already gone after them and succeeded in at least getting rid of Angela. Plus he was up against Taylor at the end. And they've all talked for a while now. If you're against Taylor, you're going home. And this one has continued to work. Unlike some of the others, because they just don't consider her to be a threat basically at all.
[01:48:15] [SPEAKER_01] I've mentioned before that sometimes this rule comes down to a comparison versus Taylor, you know, a Barrett is obviously going out.
[01:48:24] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And this goes to credit to the people who say that, Oh, okay. Barrett made his move too, too early. If you, if you do believe that, that train of thought and you'll say, okay, well yeah, Barrett put a target on his back by targeting his allies. He targeted the icons and they have every right to feel some type of way and target him back. It's just how the game is played. Even if he didn't target them, they could have came after him. But at that point, he, he made himself a noticeable threat to them. You know, the, the move comes with a downside. A lot of the moves in big brother come with a downside, right? It's how you mitigate that later on.
[01:48:54] [SPEAKER_03] It's how you continue in the game. And so when he says, I'm going to take this shot at the ally, at the icons, my allies, he should know, okay, at that point, they're going to feel the type of way and I got to fix it. I got to be on damage control, but I got to make the move. Or I got to have the shooters that are going to make the move right after. Like we can't allow them to get power. It had to happen. But because of that, he made himself enemy number one for those people. And when they had the chance to strike, they did. And they definitely should have, they were justified in doing that because he,
[01:49:23] [SPEAKER_03] at that point had taken the shot that a lot of people hadn't taken. Barrett had done the thing that people were scared to do. The thing that people said they were going to do, but they threw the challenge that they tried to do, but the DPOV was there. Barrett had actually succeeded in putting the icons on the lock. And for that, a lot of people should have been looking at him as a threat at that point.
[01:49:41] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And again, it comes back to, if he had been out of the HOH room talking to Yash and Taylor, rather than hiding up there. I mean, we know that Yash was restricted in who he could nominate. Fine. But if Yash votes out D, this is the whole butterfly effect again, then maybe he decides not to win this HOH because he doesn't need to. You know, one icon is gone. He doesn't have to do that.
[01:50:11] [SPEAKER_01] And therefore maybe one of Barrett's allies, you know, I mean, Yash could have still been an ally at that point. Again, this is why I'm saying it changes everything at that point, that butterfly effect, because different decisions could have been made.
[01:50:25] [SPEAKER_03] So yeah,
[01:50:27] [SPEAKER_01] tough. Yeah. All right. Well, the seventh rule says to trust almost nobody for a long time. Barrett mostly trusted the icons, especially D even when he had some doubts, at least, you know, they still kept him feeling warm and fuzzy until they did. Mallory being evicted was the straw that broke the camel's back. And after that, he realized he could never trust them again. And he acted on it. I'm not sure. You know, once that happened,
[01:50:56] [SPEAKER_01] that he ever trusted anyone again to that level. So, you know, this outcome was not necessarily a surprise to him.
[01:51:04] [SPEAKER_03] No, no, but he did trust people. Right. And you, you got to trust somebody, but he trusted, he trusted a lot of people, you know, Barry trusted the icons. He trusted drew, which, you know, people would say, maybe you shouldn't have trusted drew so much. Drew was actually pretty bad for his game and at different points. Uh, and then of course he tried, he trusted that. Um, but you know, trusting the icons means you have to trust all the icons, right? But he trusted the icons, not just D he chose the devins who was actively working against him at points. Uh, not all the time, but sometimes,
[01:51:34] [SPEAKER_03] and then he trusted Angela, who is not somebody who you can put a lot of trust in Angela famously outed the idea that, uh, uh, drew and Barrett were working with the icons. She sat there in front of FAP and said, yeah, y'all already know we've been working against him from, you know, we are, everybody knows. It's like, no, they didn't know. They did not know, but now they know that Barrett has been lying to them. Right. That's when, that's when they are keyed in on this. We saw Mallory talking about, we saw a melody talking about like, Hey,
[01:52:03] [SPEAKER_03] they caught that. Um, so, you know, he trusted people that he might not have like might maybe shouldn't have trusted as much. Um, especially, especially Angela.
[01:52:13] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Now Yash definitely trusted people, uh, at this stage of the game who he should not have. Um, we talked about earlier how he said in an interview that he felt pretty good going into the double eviction because he thought he had deals that people would stick to. But again, the fact is none, literally none of those people plan to stick with it. Yeah. He said some things on the live feeds about, well, I won't nominate him if I win HOH,
[01:52:42] [SPEAKER_01] but I'd vote against him if someone else did. Frankly, if she had won HOH, I think she'd have thrown that aside. I think she'd have looked at it and been like, yeah, maybe I said that, but I didn't really mean it. Um, because there's no way she was going to have the opportunity to get rid of him and not take it. And obviously, Devins was never going to say vote to save him over D when it came to drew. Really trusting drew. You should have known better than that.
[01:53:11] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And I will always come back to you told us you through that, that challenge to drew. You told us that you said it. I'm not going to tell you. I, why would I believe me over you? You said it, you said it. So yeah, it's insane for you to do that to one of your biggest ops in the house. If, even if, if y'all start him and drew could get on the same page, you also have to know that drew's probably one of, if not the biggest threat to you winning the rest of these competitions, you know,
[01:53:40] [SPEAKER_03] Devins is also not, not a, not a bad shout for that, that role, but you have the opportunity to make sure that you're still here and you were willing to throw the challenge. Uh, yeah, you definitely trusted somebody too much. If you were willing to throw the challenge. Um, and then with the melody thing, you know, like, Oh, I don't think she knew what she was doing by putting me on the block. No, you're, you're again, you're trusting that when she tells you that she's with you, that she's telling the truth. She is not telling the truth. She's not going to like,
[01:54:09] [SPEAKER_03] like save you at the detriment of drew. That's not a thing, you know? So yeah, she has you actually believing that she's, she, she's making a move, but she doesn't, you know, she's just making it by mistake. She doesn't get it. If she understood that she wouldn't do this, but she understands. She has you thinking that she doesn't understand because you trust her too much.
[01:54:27] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.
[01:54:28] Yeah.
[01:54:30] [SPEAKER_01] All right. We can go to appendix a, which is about the jury phase of the game and deals with how players were doing and preparing to possibly at the end, as well as whether the other remaining players did what they needed to, to get Barrett and Yash on their side and how that will impact the jury. Now, Barrett clearly had the end game in mind. We, we talked earlier about him knowing he couldn't just be dragged to the end as an icon lapdog, especially after what they did to Mallory, which led to him making his move.
[01:54:58] [SPEAKER_01] He knew it might lead to getting evicted a week or two sooner than he otherwise would have been, but it was also his only path to the end for a win. So he went for it.
[01:55:09] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. You got it. You got to keep the end game in mind. And, you know, and then he, and he had a, he knew what he wanted. Right. He tells it like, Drew is the person. Drew is my goat. I just got to get there with Drew. At some point he realized Drew was burning so many bridges that if I sit next to him, I'm going to look like amazing. Right. He might even get Melody's vote instead of, instead of Drew. That's great. Um, my issues with, with Barrett are that like, I think everybody kind of knows this as well. Um, you know,
[01:55:37] [SPEAKER_03] like they know that Melody and Drew are probably locking in votes for Barrett. Um, so if I'm weighing my options against Barrett, I'm thinking, okay, well he got to, does he get the icons? Do I get the icons over him? You know, I think for, uh, Barrett, because he was so such good friends with people, it makes, it makes his jury prospects make him even more threatening. And then when he gets out of the game, he's talking about, you know, the way he still feels about these people. And to that, I have some questions, uh, David, I think for me, like he did his little, his little,
[01:56:07] [SPEAKER_03] uh, like his, um, one word association thing that he does. I think with one of the, the interviews and it would be, he said like runner up is what he thought about. Yeah. And I thought it was funny. I thought it was hilarious. Um, but I also don't put a lot of stock into people with what people say in that. I know I just said like, yeah, I said that he threw that challenge and I, I gotta believe him, but we've seen so many times where people will say these things right after they come out the house and then they will vote completely differently in the end. Oh yeah.
[01:56:34] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, yeah. Angela, Angela went to the jury and 26. And even at the round table, she was no way. She was voting for Chelsea. No way. She was voting for Chelsea. And who did she vote for Chelsea? Right. Exactly. And so I don't put a lot of stock into that.
[01:56:50] [SPEAKER_03] I think that they, you know, people, people's emotions are high in that moment and you're feeling the type of way. And then we see them backtrack again. Now, again, with, with Yash, that's different because Yash has no reason to a lot of us. He has no reason to a lot of us. Like he has, he has no reason you, why are you telling us that you do that challenge? That is crazy. Um, but for Barrett, yeah, he comes out, he's a little salty, but I don't think Barrett's, uh, you know, automatically not going to vote for somebody like D or thinks that she's, uh, playing a losing game. I think that, uh,
[01:57:18] [SPEAKER_03] Barrett had worked himself into so many strategic relationships that I think game recognizes game. And he'll, he'll see that the player that makes it to the end, that played the strongest game in his opinion, he'll vote for.
[01:57:28] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I could see Barrett, voting for drew, despite everything they've gone through. If he's against Taylor, maybe even against an icon that seems a little less likely, but I, I'm not sure. Um, uh, you know, the part that you said about calling D runner up, that does not bode well, uh, for that aspect of things. Um, but against melody, it could be a toss up because I think he would know. Drew deserves it more as a game player,
[01:57:58] [SPEAKER_01] but less as well, a person. Um, so yeah, I, I, you know, I, it just depends on the mix of things that happens there. Now, when we turn to Yash, um, unless, sorry, unless you have any other thoughts about Barrett, you know, how he might be voting at the end there. No. Okay. Um, Yash, I, I, I don't know that he was actively thinking about getting jury votes at the end. I think you, you said it earlier in the podcast.
[01:58:28] [SPEAKER_01] He didn't have a specific planned at the end, just survive in advance, survive in advance. So I think he just much like other parts of his game, he was winging it a bit. And so it's, it's a bit difficult to say for him. I, I feel like he just kind of felt if he could get there, it would all turn out well for him. It goes back to that ego thing. So what did you think about him in, in terms of, you know, the preparing for the end game there?
[01:58:55] [SPEAKER_03] Well, the wildest part about that is I kind of agree with him. I agree that if he makes it to the end, it doesn't really matter. You know, like I think that winning your way to the end is one of those surefire ways of getting to the end without pissing a lot of people off. You know, cause it's kind of like, they never had a chance to get you out. You didn't have to lie too much. Cause you, you had to eliminate all of them anyway, and you were the biggest threat. So it didn't really matter in the long run. So for me, I kind of agree with him there, but I really do wish he had taken into consideration a lot more like getting to that point. Right.
[01:59:23] [SPEAKER_03] I just didn't see a lot of like a lot of, it is like attention to what the jury would look like from Yash. Obviously after the jury, he comes in with Lala and Taylor in his back pocket. That's two votes. Great. Right. Where are the rest of the votes coming from? You know, I just like, I'm sorry, before you win all these challenges and you're the big threat, whatever, but just like on a strategic or personal relationship in the game, who are the people that you're going to sit next to when you think you can beat? Do you think you have a better relationship with these people than Devin's? No.
[01:59:52] [SPEAKER_03] Do you have a relationship with the better people than D? Probably not. Uh, cause you got Devin's and Angela that she has a relationship with. She has, uh, she has Barrett. She has drew, uh, you know, like, do you have a better relationship with drew there? I mean, then the drew does. No, I don't think he had relationships with those people to the point where we got to the dream phase. Once that happens, I think he does a lot of work. I think that he's immune. And so he can make those relationships. He doesn't have to sell people a dream because he's on the block. He doesn't have to,
[02:00:25] [SPEAKER_03] he promises. He can just go in and talk to people and really try to work them over. And I thought he did a good job at that, but I think going into the jury phase, I think Yash could have really had a lot more attention to who he was keeping around. Uh, but he also didn't have a lot of control and who he was keeping around either.
[02:00:39] [SPEAKER_01] Right. Yeah. I also think there's something to be said for the fact that we see this so often, whether in survivor or big brother, if you are repeatedly saying we have to get this person out or they're going to win, we have to get this person out or they're going to win. If you don't end up getting them out, it's hard for you to then turn around and say, well, I'm not going to vote for them to win. Yeah. You, you, you,
[02:01:03] [SPEAKER_03] you create the threat. Right. The threat is that the jury will vote for this person. You're the jury. So while you say, if they get to the end, you're, you're saying as a jury, I'm picking that person as the person most likely to get the votes. So yeah, if they get to the end, you've already decided that that person, the most likely person to get the vote. There's a way that you can definitely, neutralize that. We've seen it before where you're like that person's winning, but it don't matter. That person's winning, but competition aren't everything that person's winning, but we weren't targeting them anyway. We saw that with Xander and survivor 41. He,
[02:01:33] [SPEAKER_03] he can have everything in the world and they were still not voting for him. Why? Because they don't look at them like that. And that's okay. Vince won up a ton of challenges last season. And it didn't matter because he had pissed off so many people. They weren't looking at Vince as a person that if he got to the end, he was going to win. In fact, they were probably looking at him like, if he got to the end, he was going to lose to whoever he was sitting by. And so, yeah, the challenges in and of itself doesn't make you a threat. The jury tells you who the threat is. Right. Right.
[02:01:59] [SPEAKER_01] So, all right. So then, as far as Yash voting in the end, because he is now on the jury, I think he would vote for Taylor above all the others. Um, and then I'm not really sure. Would he vote for D or Devin's because he values comp wins so much and they have been doing well on those. I suspect that is a good possibility, especially for anyone who's against drew whose game.
[02:02:28] [SPEAKER_01] He clearly does not respect. And I think he believes, we talked about this melody made a mistake in putting him on the block. So I, I don't see him voting for her either. Unless maybe she's against true again, maybe does he vote at that? I mean, if you somehow get a, a droolity, uh, or a mellow drew, uh, a final two,
[02:02:52] uh,
[02:02:53] [SPEAKER_01] does he vote for the person whose game he hated or the person who he felt was so clueless that she didn't even play it. Again, I don't know.
[02:03:02] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, it's tough. And with the jury votes, uh, it always, to me, it's like to, to count somebody out that they couldn't win. You're not taking into consideration who they're sitting next to. You know, you have to really look at, okay, well, okay, let's say that person can't win. Um, can he just not win against this person? Can he not win against all the people? Right. And so for Melody right now, yeah, I had, I'd be hard pressed to see her really getting Yasha's vote. But if the narrative of the season becomes Yasha's a scumbag, Yasha's a scumbag, we can't reward that behavior. They come into,
[02:03:31] [SPEAKER_03] Yasha's one of the first ones who's going to come into the jury and be like, that guy sucked. And then the next person who comes to the jury, if it's at Drew's hands, then that guy sucked. Right. You know, like it could be a thing that we're like, well, at least Melody doesn't suck, you know, or let's stick it to Drew. We don't like them. You know, we've seen bitter juries before. Uh, do I think Yasha would be bitter? Possibly. Actually. Um, I've never, he talked so bad about Drew in that house. You know, he's talking about, about Drew, his brother talking about, about Drew outside the house. You know,
[02:04:01] [SPEAKER_03] I could definitely see a world where Yasha's like, I just, we just are not, I can't support you as a person, you know? And so, yeah, I don't know who we can, uh, in certain situations, I don't know who we can, uh, you know, attribute Yasha's vote to in the future.
[02:04:15] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. Taylor lock.
[02:04:17] [SPEAKER_03] And you got it. Yeah. Like I think, I think he might vote for D over Devins. You know, I know he likes, uh, competitions obviously, but I think that he respects the idea that she was able to dodge these bullets when he wasn't. And so, uh, yeah, I, I don't know. Yeah.
[02:04:32] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. All right. Well, it is finally about time to wrap things up. So what are your final thoughts about Barrett and Yash?
[02:04:41] [SPEAKER_03] I thought they play strong games. I thought in different ways, in different ways. Uh, I think that I prefer the Barrett game, which is, you know, make these alliances, make, you know, make strategic moves, try to keep your allies around, make everybody happy, and then try to win at the end, being the most likable option left. I do appreciate that, but I do think that, you know, obviously Barrett had some deficits in his game. Uh, I do, I am, I love when a super fan can come in and really get to live their dream and have a good time doing it. And so I'm very happy for him. Uh, but you know,
[02:05:11] [SPEAKER_03] the mistakes were made and he was punished for those, the mistakes. Uh, I don't necessarily agree with all the mistakes that he made or, you know, or, or disagree, you know, with everything he did, you know, so I, you know, I'm kind of on the fence on some of these decisions, but ultimately, you know, I think for him, this was a good showing for sure. Um, you gotta, but you gotta win when you need to win. Right. And, uh, he was up against Josh who was able to win a lot, uh, or at least be, you know, perceived as somebody who can win. Uh, like I said, uh, what's that? Uh, two HOHs, a blockbuster,
[02:05:41] [SPEAKER_03] three vetoes, and, uh, the medieval challenge. The man is a winning machine. Exactly. He had it all. And because of that, you know, I'm like, okay, cool. I, I have been warming up to the competition threats a lot more in these most recent seasons because it's, it's such, it's just so important in the game to be able to do the competition. And so I can't knock you for just being good at those things. Um, and also being somebody who started off not really knowing what the hell he was doing. Um, I'm very proud of him as well. Um,
[02:06:10] [SPEAKER_03] but definitely some, like if we ever saw them play again, I think they will both do well, but they got to learn from the mistakes that they made. Cause they definitely made some.
[02:06:17] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. So you're, you talked about all those mistakes and a couple of weeks ago, Mallory paid for her mistake of throwing an HOH comp. She could have, and should have won this week. We saw two similar situations. Barrett paid for his mistake. Just not the one that too many people are saying he made, uh, that it was the wrong move or done too early. No, his mistake was, as we discussed,
[02:06:42] [SPEAKER_01] not locking down the votes to get D out after making his nominations that left him in a bad situation. With very few allies. And then in the double eviction, it was time for Yash to pay for his mistake of saving D. The circles are now complete. Uh, they, that doesn't always happen, but I like it when it does, because I hope future players will learn some lessons as long as they're the correct ones. But that doesn't fully explain why.
[02:07:11] [SPEAKER_01] As I said for Yash, it's possible that even if he had made the right decision and voted out D, still things might have ended at the same point for him. We have no way we could say for sure, for sure, because of the butterfly effect. What we can say is that even though he thought he'd go home, if he was sitting up against Angela, but D would go home if she was against him. Well, that was clearly not the case.
[02:07:34] [SPEAKER_01] He had managed to make himself even more of a threat than D in the eyes of the important few. And the allies that he thought he had evaporated as if they'd never been there to begin with, which really they hadn't been because those agreements were never intended to be honored. They weren't ironclad like the bribe that bound and restricted him. He just didn't realize it because although he improved quite a bit throughout the game,
[02:08:04] [SPEAKER_01] strategizing and understanding his position relative to others still was not his best quality. He was well-liked, but that was also a strike against him as a threat for the end game. So when Melody couldn't ensure getting out an icon, he was next on the list. And he was first on the list for swing vote Drew. Barrett was less of a direct threat from a comp standpoint, but more of one in terms of having made it clear what his intentions were. And he certainly understood game strategy better,
[02:08:33] [SPEAKER_01] but he had gotten himself into a sticky situation with very few allies. Again, not because he made the move when he did, but because he didn't follow up to ensure the move went the way he wanted. And he held on to the allies that he thought he had in Yash and Taylor. The deal they made with the icons really helped doom both players who were evicted this week because it pulled Yash away from Barrett,
[02:08:59] [SPEAKER_01] but then Yash didn't actually get the benefit of it when he needed it. Barrett made a decision to try to win the game, knowing it might not go his way. And it didn't in large part because the game isn't just about one decision, but the culmination of all your actions. And he didn't keep at it. For Yash, it also wasn't just a single decision. No, accepting the bribe certainly played a big role in limiting what he could do.
[02:09:26] [SPEAKER_01] It was his full body of work from his comp wins to unnecessarily flipping on an alliance. And all of that told people they couldn't keep him, even up against a former survivor winner. And that is why Barrett and Yash lost. Thanks. Um,
[02:09:48] [SPEAKER_03] look, there are worse ways to lose the game. I think for both of them. Yeah. You know? And so I don't hate it. Like I said, valiant effort for both of them, but you know, mistakes made. Yes.
[02:10:00] [SPEAKER_01] All right. Well, be sure you stay tuned for our predictions in a moment, which of course are spoiler free and written without any knowledge of what happened on the feeds after the eviction. But first a few other pieces of information. Uh, since big brother is a 24 seven game, make sure you follow us on social media to get all of our thoughts throughout the week. I post videos every day at Tik TOK, YouTube and Instagram, where I'm at David Bloomberg TV.
[02:10:25] [SPEAKER_01] I've been making about two or three videos per day with fun stuff from the show and the live feeds and my thoughts on what's happening. Last week, Jessica and I did the why blank loss survivor 51 preview. And I've also been podcasting quite a bit about multiple international seasons of the traders on the trade our podcast. Thursday. I discussed the traders Ireland episode nine yesterday.
[02:10:50] [SPEAKER_01] We talked about the traders U S new blood premier this coming Tuesday. I'll be back to talking about the traders Canada premier. And then the rest of the week, the Ireland finale and the U S again, all while also adding in the first survivor. Why blank lost of the season late next Friday night or early Saturday morning. Before I returned to talk to you again, Chappelle.
[02:11:16] [SPEAKER_01] Now everyone can find all my various accounts and see where to locate me at link tree slash David Bloomberg. And that includes my blue sky where both of us make our social media homes. And we encourage everyone else to do likewise for all of your big brother and other discussions. So, I mean, so many major big brother update accounts have moved there and I know we're nearing the end of the season, but it's still a fun community and a better place overall.
[02:11:44] [SPEAKER_03] I think Jason, Jason from this season just joined a blue sky as well. I can imagine maybe, I think, I don't know if Rick Devens was on there, but I can imagine after the season, he probably, he'll probably be on there as well. He's there. Hopefully. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so, yeah, it's a fun time. And I think there are more active survivor players on there too. So if you like survivors and that's definitely a good place to catch them, to catch my takes at Chappelle's kickback and David's at David Bloomberg.
[02:12:11] [SPEAKER_03] You can also find me on recap kickback at recap kickback on all social media platforms. Just podcasting, subscribe youtube.com slash at recap kickback. Or if you are audio only person, recap kickback.com slash subscribe. You can subscribe on Apple, Spotify, all that kind of stuff. And then of course, catch me here on RJP talking about the slop, but then also club condo behind the paywall. Yeah. Survivor's coming. And so I do a sloppy show over there for a survivor. It's not as sloppy as big brother. Cause big brother just gives us so much,
[02:12:40] [SPEAKER_03] but it is a good time. And. Oh my God. Is that it for survivor? Oh yeah, I think so. So yeah, catch me with David and with Rob and then that's, that's my fall.
[02:12:51] [SPEAKER_01] It seems like, yeah, that's right. That's right. All right. So for predictions, like I said, spoiler free. So with Yash gone, I do feel the comps are much more up in the air. Devins has shown he can kill it on a puzzle. I just don't think there will be another puzzle soon. And then there was just the booth HOH and the double eviction. So I feel like it's going to be something more physical that D is going to end up winning. And that's when things get interesting.
[02:13:19] [SPEAKER_01] I just have to believe she's going to turn on drew again and put him up against melody. And you know, I think if, if drew or if, if one wins HOH, I think Taylor will go up, but Taylor will be safe. So if drew and melody end up there, I have confidence in drew winning the veto. Even, even with melody suddenly entering her comp beast era.
[02:13:50] [SPEAKER_01] So I think we say goodbye to melody next. Interesting.
[02:13:56] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. I thought we were on the same page. Cause I definitely predicted D is going to win the HOH and put up droolity because they're not being spare. You know, there's no reason to put up Taylor. You know, she doesn't have anybody else in the game. And I mean, this could be a very interesting spot to put up devins as well. If you're drew, if you're D but I really think that like, obviously you want to break up the show, man's, but I thought this might be the time where we see drew finally go. And it just kind of feels right. You know,
[02:14:25] [SPEAKER_03] with people, you like you said, making these mistakes or playing kind of reckless and then things coming back to bite them. I think melody did what she needed to do. What she needed to do. Last, like last week or this week, I guess I should say. And so I'm not going to immediately be like, and then she's, she's on. I think she's got a little bit more runway, but I do think that it's for one of the icons to go ahead and take this, take them out. And then of course, at that point, it'll be everybody looking at the icons as the, the duo that they are. We've seen that in big brother so many times, but I just, I don't know.
[02:14:54] [SPEAKER_03] I just feel like drew was kind of run out of space to play the game. Yeah. Okay.
[02:14:58] [SPEAKER_01] Well, we're on most of the same page there. Yeah. D has had previously said on live feeds that she intended to take out Devin's at three, which is a risky move, but you know, okay, go for it, I guess. So we'll, we'll see if that happens. But until then, as we wrap up, I want to encourage people to check out the RJP patron program at Rob has website.com slash patron. In addition to the Facebook groups, the discord, you've already talked about several patron only podcasts.
[02:15:27] [SPEAKER_01] Some of which you're on with the slop and club condo. And of course there's the Q and a every week and, and other ones.
[02:15:34] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. You can support us by becoming a patron for sure. It helps fund the podcast and keep all these good shows coming to you. And so, yeah, make sure you join the patron community, patron.com slash RJP. And then, you know, you might get first dibs on some live show tickets and stuff. There's a lot of games and stuff. People are starting to organize. Did you hear that doing the floor? Yes. Yes. Yeah. That's coming.
[02:15:57] [SPEAKER_01] Online version of the floor for the online version of the floor.
[02:16:00] [SPEAKER_03] I think Mary and Mike bloom are doing something as well, you know, so there's stuff going on. It's a perfect time to join the community for sure.
[02:16:07] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. They're doing some sort of survivor games before each survivor episode. So, yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah. And of course, you know, with, with, with Mike and Mary hosting it, you know, it's going to be a blast. So. Shenanigans. Yeah, for sure. Yes. Yes. Yes. So also make sure that, uh, you're subscribed to all the RHAP podcasts. Of course, we know, big brother.com go there for your big brother. Also with survivor coming, go to, we know survivor.com or just get everything at. We know reality tv.com.
[02:16:37] [SPEAKER_01] Uh, you just go there. You select your podcast service of choice. If you haven't already, if you're just watching this or listening to this as a one-off, make sure you subscribe. And of course, you know, you can subscribe to the YouTube channel as well. If for some reason you haven't.
[02:16:50] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I'm so excited for you and Jessica to do YX loss for, um, survivor. Uh, it's one of my podcasts that I listened to for sure. Uh, and so, yeah, um, can't wait for that to happen. And big thanks to, you know, the people behind the scenes, Scott and Jess and Rob are the star. We didn't even talk about it. The star of unlocked. Rob, you know, Mike Bloom, the other star of unlocked, you know, thanks to all the people behind the scenes,
[02:17:15] [SPEAKER_01] RJP for all the work that they do to make this possible. And thank you. Excuse me. Thank you, Chappelle for another great episode. This was a long one. We knew it would be, uh, you know, it was, uh, it was a lot to pull together. It was, you know, I was selfishly hoping that melody would be knocked out because I knew it would be a lot less work in a double, uh, in a double eviction, but Hey, from, without spoiling anything from things we've heard, it may be another, we may be talking about two people again next week. Uh,
[02:17:45] [SPEAKER_01] so make sure you, uh, join us here. Uh, you know, it'll be a Saturday again, uh, uh, you know, Saturday afternoon again for us next week when we're, the podcast is available. And, uh, you know, like I said, we could be talking about two players as we're getting down to the nitty gritty here. We, we only have a couple more of these podcasts left. So make sure you're, you're watching, listening, and finding us on social media in the meantime, until then, we'll see you.
[02:18:15] [SPEAKER_01] Bye.
