Big Brother 28 fans, buckle up for a revealing exit interview with host Taran Armstrong and evicted houseguest Mallory. The fallout from Mallory’s eviction has left the house reflecting on loyalty, backstabbing, and whether being an “Icon Junior” is a smart way to play. Mallory shares her side of a week full of strategizing, shifting loyalties, and unexpected betrayals.[00:00:08] Mallory, how you doing? I'm good. How are you? I'm doing all right, Mallory. I know things are not going well in terms of the eviction. I know I heard you talk in the house about how if you were evicted this week, it would ruin the experience. Is the experience ruined? No, I don't think it is. I think I'll still be able to watch it and stuff.
[00:00:39] I do. I do have to. I do have to ask Mallory. Why? Why did you throw the HOH? Why did you do it? I didn't. I didn't throw it. I got nervous at the end because I didn't know what I would do if I won. I thought I would be good with D. Um, and I just I choked at the end because I started thinking about who I put up and I didn't know.
[00:01:04] Yeah. Uh, I know it was a tough week, uh, back and forth about, uh, whether or not to keep Kamu. Um, and, uh, and then this week toward the end of the week, we saw that Barrett kind of told you about some of the things that had been going on in the house. Um, you were, I mean, you, you've had a rough time of it, Mallory. Uh, Barrett and Drew have been doing you dirty all season long. Uh, Barrett.
[00:01:29] Oh, great. Barrett has called himself Bear Rats, uh, because they, they were just, they were just telling the vets everything that you guys were saying for like five weeks. Um, and, uh, including. FAP, uh, even though they made you call it FAP, uh, the vets even, it's very annoying. Uh, how are you feeling about Drew and Barrett right now?
[00:01:54] You know, I did. I think that was a dumb game move. I think being icon juniors is a bad way to play the game, but, um, I'll still be their friends after this. Uh, but you know, if they keep up playing like that, like working for people instead of working with them, they'll never win. No one will vote for them. So if that's what they want to do, then that's their choice.
[00:02:17] Yes. Um, Yash has, uh, has talked about how, uh, Drew and Barrett drew in particular is going to do whatever daddy Devin's tells him to. There is like a bit of like, uh, a father son's dynamic happening. They've actually had a little bit of like a final three from like the very beginning of the game, which is, I think why Barrett and drew felt comfortable in the crossovers alliance, which was the vets plus the two of them.
[00:02:44] Uh, because they felt like, Oh, well, Devin's is really with us and it's us versus D and Angela. Um, is, is that relationship something that I know you guys, it's, well, as a kind of a public thing that like that Devin's is the dad of the house, but how much of that was like really, uh, that you guys were like worried about when it came specifically to Devin's.
[00:03:06] Um, you know, I was worried about Devin's. It wasn't until more recently that I was worried with how close Drew and Barrett were to him and the icons in general. But, um, you know, Devin's has a way of making everyone feel like they have some type of special connection with him, like some type of special working relationship. Um, so anyone that thinks they can trust Devin's and they're working with him, like they're wrong.
[00:03:31] Very true. Uh, I assume you've probably been told at this point about the bribe that D made to Yash. Um, I know Barrett told you that D was safe, but actually it's also Devin's and Angela that are safe on his next HOH. Um, how do you feel about that? Do you think that, that he made the right choice accepting that bribe?
[00:03:52] Yeah. I'm sure he only accepted it for safety. I don't think he accepted it for the money. I don't know what I would have done in his position. You know, safety is an amazing thing. Um, it stinks because I don't know who he will put up then if he does win HOH and he has to stay true to it. Um, I do kind of think it was a mistake, but at the same time, um, who knows what would have happened if he was nominated with the veto and voting.
[00:04:24] And Blockbuster, who knows if he would have been able to stay. So, yes. Uh, you of course known as the pipe queen in the house. Uh, do you, do you like pipe queen? Yeah, I think it's so funny. I love the nickname.
[00:04:39] It's great. I love it too. Uh, you, you are beloved. I, everyone loves you out of the house. Uh, you know, and honestly, they loved you in the house too, you know, for as much as obviously like the HOH, like we wish you would have won. Um, you were in a good spot, especially last week.
[00:04:57] You were really like in this position where everyone wanted to work with you. Um, you had a great social game, you conducted trains, you know, you, you, you wrote on buses. Um, and, uh, and I, and I, I really, I think a lot of people really enjoyed watching you play.
[00:05:13] And I, in particular really enjoyed like just how passionate you were this last week. You know, it's nice to see people express emotion, even if it's, you know, intense emotion. Um, you know, I, I do a lot of reenactments, uh, on the podcast and you've, you've damaged my vocal cords a little bit, uh, trying to, to do your diary rooms. Um, tell me about that.
[00:05:37] Tell me about that passion that you have. Cause you really, even from day one, when you were, you know, nominated early on in the game, you just had so much passion for being there. Yeah. Um, I was just very obsessed that I was going to be nominated. You know, I felt in my gut, I was making a mistake, trusting the Icons at all. I obviously, I honestly didn't trust them. And then now here I was and it stunk because I had so much reassurance that I would be fine.
[00:06:06] I was already had in my head. I was going to be there next week. Um, so I was surprised, upset and angry. And it just, it really stinks when you're so happy to be there. You know, it's your dream, your whole life. And you're watching it all out of nowhere, uh, kind of crumble, you know, like when Kamu put me up, I was also upset, but I had, when he won HOH, I knew there was a chance I was going to be going on the block.
[00:06:33] When D won, I really thought it would be good. I wasn't caught, like I wasn't a hundred percent sure, but I was more confident than I was last time I was nominated. So yeah, it stunk, but. Yeah, it really, uh, this week too. I don't think that D really intended to, uh, to nominate you, but, but Devin's definitely did. And Devin's is really the one that I think got in D's ear.
[00:06:57] There's not that she was like reluctant to nominate you, of course. Um, but Devin's is the one that really sort of like honed in. He, he really, I think, I think, uh, for what it's worth, I think he respected you in the game a lot and really feared you in the game a lot and wanted you, wanted you gone because of that. Um, we've, uh, we've seen, there were a little bit of feeds when, um, they came back from the eviction and drew, uh, drew was very upset because the audience, uh, like groaned at him when he voted to evict you.
[00:07:25] Yeah, I heard about that. Well, what was it like coming out to all the alumni in the thousandth episode? I mean, that line was pretty hard about like, listen, how much they cheer for me. I liked that. Um, yeah, you know, that was awesome. I said that not expecting it to be a whole audience full of icons. Like that was awesome. It was so unbelievable to see my favorite players there and they knew who I was.
