BB28 Week 3 Exit Interview

BB28 Week 3 Exit Interview

Watch on YouTube!

Big Brother 28 fans won’t want to miss this episode, where exit interview hosts Rob Cesternino and Taran Armstrong catch up with the third evicted houseguest, Jason. With the Icons versus the newcomers as the season’s big showdown, Jason—also known by his drag persona Selena Estitties—reflects on life in the house, the tough choices he faced, and his own star power amid a cast of reality show veterans.

Jason dives into his strategy of hiding his RuPaul’s Drag Race background to avoid intimidation and judgment from the Icons and the rest of the house. The episode covers key moments like Jason commandeering the now-famous “Tea Party” incident, and how his natural charisma redirected a confrontation into a memorable exit moment. Discussion also turns to alliances and the pivotal moment when Drew passed information to Angela, shifting trust and power within the house. Jason shares candid thoughts about who is really pulling the strings, why trust is so hard to earn, and the highs and lows of fan support.

  • Jason admits to Rob Cesternino that keeping his Drag Race past a secret felt like being “in the closet” again, hoping to avoid bias from Icons and other houseguests.
  • Taran Armstrong breaks down how Jason flipped Kamu’s planned “Tea Party” TV moment, showing Jason’s ability to control the narrative and grab fan attention.
  • Jason reveals to Taran Armstrong and Rob Cesternino the failed attempt to rally non-Icon houseguests and his reasoning for sharing critical game info with Drew, unaware Drew was aligned with Angela.
  • Jason points to Drew and Barrett as possible swing players in the middle of the house, but doubts they’ll disrupt the current power structure anytime soon.

As the Icons tighten their grip, the rest of the house faces tough odds. Will Drew or Barrett ever flip the house and shake up the game? Tune in for the full conversation and insight straight from Jason’s exit.

[00:02:31] Hey, everybody. What's going on? Rob Cesternino back here with a big brother. Another exit interview today. We're talking with the third house guest evicted from Big Brother 28. That's going to be Jason, but you may know him better as Selena S. Titties. And we will be catching up with Jason after. He was very sadly evicted from the Big Brother house on Thursday night. Taren is going to join me here.

[00:02:58] And then he will head on over to the live feed update. Of course, we recapped it all on our Thursday night recap, which you definitely should check out if you have not done so. And we have Jason here on the line. Let's go ahead and bring it in. Hey, Jason. You're here with Rob and Taren from RHAP. How are you doing this morning? Super good. Again, honored to be here. You guys are so iconic. This is crazy that I'm getting to talk to you guys. Thank you, Jason. And we have so many questions for you.

[00:03:25] And so I want to know from you, how was your experience shaped where you are coming in with this background from RuPaul's Drag Race, but you're thrust into a season that is bringing in these reality TV icons. And that must have been really hard for you to navigate coming in. Yeah, you know, it's funny. I had a secret, right? It was like I was in the closet all over again in the Big Brother house. And do I come out of the closet or don't I?

[00:03:54] That was the question the entire time. The fact that no one knew I was from Drag Race, you know, off the bat in the house spoke volumes. That really dictated why I didn't reveal it, right? The icons are icons for a reason. They come from these strategic game shows. Even the house guests, as much as they knew of Drag Race, they don't think game strategy, right? That's not a game strategy show. That's Drag Race. It's drag. It's entertaining. It's not gameplay or social deduction.

[00:04:23] So I don't think had I aired that out, it would have helped me in the long run. They probably would have thought, oh, you're a rich gay celebrity. You don't need this money. That's probably what would have been the conversation, right? Or I think Devin would have been threatened, right? He felt I could feel he was threatened by my star quality just being in the house. Every time I would showboat over him, every time I told a joke better than him, I could tell he would see the little bit because he's the star. So I don't think it would have fared in my favor had I revealed that or came out of the closet.

[00:04:53] Speaking of your star quality, Jason, something that I thought was really interesting that you managed to do with this whole tea party situation. Obviously, Kamu calls you out. I don't know how much you've been told already, but he was like practicing his speech beforehand. Like, like he was like, oh, this is going to be my big TV moment at the tea party. And you, you though, are a true star and entertainer.

[00:05:22] And you were able to take his big tea party moment and take ownership of that brand. You took the teapot. You throw the tea bags. Julie greets you with a teapot on your way out. Like you are now the owner of the tea party brand. I like this is just like your natural entertaining gene, I think. Right. Like I was just really impressed with how you turn that around. You know, I it's so interesting. Right.

[00:05:49] I think a lot of the kids in that house, that was the biggest light bulb for me was I'm 35. I've been around. I paraded my life like a 20 year old. You know, I get celebrated and paid to to act so young spirited and entertainingly. Being in the house with younger people put me into put into perspective that I'm 35. I've been around for a minute. These kids all want to be where I'm at. They want the brand deals that I've done. They want the followers that I have. They want the starness that I possess.

[00:06:19] And I could see that so clear with Kamu. He is a little star chaser. He wants to be famous so bad. I could feel that the first conversation I ever heard from him that he wants this so bad. So I can tell in that moment at tea party, he was going to make that his moment. And but but since he decided to corner me and pick on me, I was going to make sure he'd never had that moment. So I know you're not back online yet after coming out of the house just last night.

[00:06:48] But Julie told you that you were in the top three in the vote getting you might have been on track to maybe get into the BB time capsule for this week coming up. Are you heartened at all to know that there's a lot of support for you outside the house? Dude, you know, I'll say this. I read Taryn's book before going into the house. You know, and to be honest, that opened my mind so much.

[00:07:15] And my favorite thing that I gathered from reading that book was how each cast of Big Brother is a complete microcosm of America as a whole in that time. Right. In real time. And isn't it so interesting how the people in power in the house were so threatened by a drag queen? Like if that doesn't reflect America and the way that even Kamu at that idea of drag queen was so bothered, you know, and the way that Kamu, the big MMA faithful man, the millionaire in D, right?

[00:07:44] The country Texas cowboy Chuck, the you know, I could go on. I have so much more. Do Haley. But I mean, she I don't know if you saw the live feeds, but she revealed to me that she's an anti-vaxxer. So, yeah, you know, that isn't it so interesting how the people in power were just so threatened by the drag queen. And that's a headline of I've read for years. Right. And so, again, it's a reflection of America.

[00:08:07] And to hear that America was on my side is it burst my heart open because, again, being in that house, if half the house didn't like me, it's in my mind, half of America didn't like me. So the fact that I didn't win time capsule the first two times or get a chance to play, I would have thought my community rallied behind me. I would have thought to the drag queens, the gay people had my back. But again, it's not it wasn't enough. Right. The first two times. So in my mind, oh, they definitely don't like me. So, so amazing to hear that. Maybe they did.

[00:08:38] Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, listen, it I think it really just comes down to like edit. There were people that were more prominent in those first couple of weeks. Oh, yeah. Yeah. But but the let me tell you, the online fan base, at the very least, very much rallied around you this week, even though there was a good chance you were going to be evicted and the votes would go to not and that maybe D might be second place and that would suck. They still were like, we need we need to try, which was very, very cool to see.

[00:09:08] So I imagine at this point you've been told that really the big turning point in your game was when Drew told Angela about how you told him that you'd made the face to the camera. It might it might help you to know that that was also a turning point in Drew's game because Angela really didn't like that information. So Angela didn't see me. Drew told her that you told Drew.

[00:09:33] Yeah, that a couple of days later and then Drew told because Drew has been in an alliance with Angela and Devin's and and D called the crossovers since basically like day one. Wow. With Barrett as well. And so but the thing is, that was a turning point in his relationship with that alliance because Angela really was like, can we really believe that that Jason would do all of that? I but then eventually obviously you admitted to it. She was like, OK, he definitely did.

[00:10:02] But she still just like doesn't like the information Drew brings her and she hates him now. But I I guess like the biggest thing that we talked about at that time was like, you know, why tell Drew about that moment? It was such a specific thing and it gave him such incriminating information. Hmm. Yeah, I guess I didn't even think about that.

[00:10:25] There was this understanding, I think, amongst a lot of the house guests who weren't the icons that we need to get the icons out like duh, like they've played before. Give us a chance to play. And I really took that to heart, which is why I didn't side with icons at first and why I didn't reveal I was on Drag Race. I thought there was a we had majority being against icons and I thought we would rally together to get them out. But we never had power. Right. So I could tell Drew and Melody were super fans of the show.

[00:10:52] And in those first couple of days in the Big Brother house, everyone's kind of twiddling their thumbs. When are we going to play the game? Who's going to start strategizing? At what point do we start doing that? And because they were super fans, I was like, you know what? I'm going to just take a leap of faith here and see if they want to play with me and create this little side thing. Because it was kind of I don't think people would have assumed we'd be working together at all. So when I created the court jesters with Melody and with Drew, I was like, this could be a little side thing that that exists. Well, we all play our separate games. Right. And no one would kind of expect it.

[00:11:22] So I thought by sharing that information, because I know Drew is such a super fan, I feel like he would be like, wow, I want to play with this guy because he gets it, you know. And but I didn't know he was working with Angela or the one who told him that I thought Angela saw me in the mirror. Isn't I thought that's what she told me. So it was Drew that revealed that. Yeah, I think she was just hiding the source. She was very surprised and was reluctant to believe it for a while. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. And, you know, and I can tell Angela loves me. I love her, too. But it was hard to build trust after that moment.

[00:11:51] And then I guess me owning it. Maybe I would have lied. It would have changed my game. She might have doubted Drew. Yeah. If you if you denied it. Totally. So, Jason, you gave your speech last night. You said, hey, you need to save me because you need to step up to the people that are in charge without me. It could be a boring season. Is there anybody that you have faith in from that other side of the house that could lead a revolution against the powers in the house?

[00:12:20] Definitely. Drew and Barrett are sitting pretty in the middle. Um, there's this constant conversation with like, you know, the Melodies and the Druves, right? Where like Melody, like Drew, Drew has her in his pocket and Melody's convinced that he's with us. Barrett is the one who's the one flip who has the power to flip at any point. And I think Barrett is a good enough guy, especially after our conversations. I don't think he really likes Chuck Kamu and Haley either, that he could be the hero down the line.

[00:12:50] I think Drew has the power potential to do that, too. But they're pretty set up in a nice way with those six, you know, in power. So I don't see them doing it anytime soon. OK, now what we wanted to hear. OK, but Jason, thank you so much for making time for us. Can't wait to see everything that you have going on outside of the game. And thank you so much. Thank you very much, you guys. Take care. Bye. Bye. All right, everybody. There you have it. There's Jason.

[00:13:18] Great interview with Jason talking about everything going on. And look at Jason. Read Taron's book also. So put that on the critical acclaim for Behind the Mirror. Thank you so much for joining us for the exit interview. Of course, check out the live feed update. I've got a Q&A coming up at 4 p.m. today. Thank you for joining us. Take care, everybody.
