BB28 Wednesday Veto Ep Recap, Week 4
Also available on YouTube.
Big Brother 28 brings on another unpredictable week as alliances question their loyalties and power in the house is up for grabs. Rob Cesternino is joined by Chappell and Mary Kwiatkowski for a dynamic Veto Wednesday recap, featuring a special visit from tonightβs Big Brother Veto Competition Host Morgan Pope, who gives a behind-the-scenes look at the episodeβs wild Veto comp.
This episode dives deep into Haleyβs ongoing Head of Household reign and its tough emotional toll. The podcast covers the high-stakes Veto competition, hosted in a dramatic masquerade setting by BB27βs Morgan Pope, and examines how state-of-the-house dynamics create tough voting decisions. Discussion also focuses on shifting trust within core alliances, the new diamond power of veto twist, and how deals and secrets factor into upcoming plans. Notably, the cast and hosts reflect on Taylorβs strong gameplay and the fun moments in the episode edit.
- Chappell highlights the impact of Haleyβs βlongest, hardest HOH weekβ and the editβs playful tone that builds her rivalry with Melody.
- Rob points out the ongoing question of whether pawns are really safe, especially with the Blockbuster twist making nomination seats riskier than usual.
- Morgan reveals what itβs like to return as a Veto comp host, spill some live feed reactions, and discuss the tension she witnessed between houseguests.
- Mary and Chappell debate the value and potential backfire of Dee keeping secrets from Devens about the BB Bribe power, trying to secure the jury vote mindset seen in Survivor.
- The trio explores whether Melody, Mallory, or Taylor could capture the next twist, and wonders if Lyricβs willingness to throw friends under the bus will hurt her.
With the power structure showing cracks and deal-making at an all-time high, the big question is: Will an underdog finally get a chance to shake up the house, or will the same alliance keep running the show? Catch the full episode for every strategy shift and memorable moment from the Big Brother 28 house.

[00:00:19] Hey everybody, what's going on? Rob Cesternino back here to talk about another Veto Wednesday on Big Brother. And we will talk about everything from, we had a fun Veto competition and an interesting vote shaping up for this week. And I'm excited to talk about it here tonight with somebody who did such a fun pop in on the slop this week. Of course, it's the great Frail Mary. Mary, how are you?
[00:00:57] Chappelle, I have no idea what you're talking about. Hmm. Yes. Okay. It was definitely not a Etsy witch yesterday. Yeah, definitely not. In cosplay. But you know, was that my first time being someone who wasn't a Big Brother house guest? I don't know. It's very exciting though. Very exciting. Sometimes you gotta channel the Etsy witch. Of course. And it's such a reunion, of course, because we're on the slop every week with Chappelle. Chappelle, how are you?
[00:01:24] Rob, I've had such a hard week. Hard week. I've just been, yeah, it's been tough. You know what? I've been... Yeah. I gotta be honest, this Haley HOH, it's been a hard month. It's been the longest hard week of all time. But it's okay. I wore this black shirt to match my black hair. Yes. And you know, so I think I'm ready. Yeah. I think I'm ready to come. I'm bubbly. I'm fun. You know, whimsical. Whimsical. Yes.
[00:01:54] Yeah. Yes. I loved how much the edit was just putting it every time she said, what a hard week it's been. What a hard couple of weeks it's been. How tough this experience has been. I loved it so much that... I feel like the edit is having fun with Haley. You have to. Mm-hmm. Yeah, Haley and Melody. Because every time you cut to Haley saying something, you gotta cut to Melody being like,
[00:02:20] Ugh! I hate her so much! Yeah, so if this is making the stock rise on anybody, I'm a big Melody fan after this episode. Yeah, of course. All right. So we'll talk about everything from a night where the nominees were laid out and we had a very fun veto competition that we'll talk about here tonight.
[00:02:48] And I thought, oh! Wait, Helen, there's somebody at the podcast door. Let me see who it is. It's... Wait, it's the host of the veto competition! Hey! Morgan Pope! Look at that! Morgan, what's up? What's up? Morgan, how are you? Oh, I'm fabulous. I'm actually even better because I didn't get poisoned. You didn't get poisoned. Drew did actually offer me a drink at one point and I'm really glad I didn't accept. Yes.
[00:03:15] Now, I have to know, what were the logistics of your time travel? Yeah, I was worried they were gonna leave you in the 1700s. I was scared too for a moment, but then I realized that like I was able to like come back with everyone, which was great. I'm like, I don't want to be around all these other dead people. Like this is, this looks bad on me. I look like I did this. Like, are you trying to frame me? You know, so it was really good that I got to come back, made it safely, obviously looked fabulous while doing it. So I loved it. Yeah. Incredible job. So fun to see you back on the show. How are you doing overall? I'm doing great.
[00:03:45] It was crazy because the last time I was in there was on finale day for my season last year. It was really cool to see them like literally freak out. Like I thought Taylor was gonna tackle me. I'm not even gonna lie. And I was loving it. She like stormed over. Angela like scooped and swooped me around. And I was like, this is so cool. Like I was, I feel like I was more excited to meet them and see them as they were for me. So it was just kind of one of those things.
[00:04:08] I think about it, you know, in the episode of Friends, when like Ross and like, they're all like dancing and celebrating and screaming together. Like that's what it kind of felt like for me. So it was really cool. Yeah. All right. Well, Morgan, I know you've talked about how it was weird to see these people living in your house. Was that so weird for you to come back and see these people living in the place that you knew so well?
[00:04:34] Totally, especially like waiting to like walk in and like seeing just knowing that I'm entering a space where everything is just so confined for them. And I'm like, like a real world person. It's kind of funny thinking back to like my experience, like when I saw Casey come in, for example, we're like a person like it's like, obviously, it's like Casey, but it's also like a real person like, oh my God, we're seeing somebody new than the same people we have to deal with every single day. Um, so it was really fun to go in and have a seat. I mean, I told them, I was like, it's kind of crazy.
[00:05:03] I was just watching guys on the live feeds. Like I was literally sitting in the back just like this, watching the live feeds before they got me. And so I was like, I was literally watching guys on the live feeds. And now I'm like in here with you. It was so cool though. I loved it. How hard is it for you not to slip up and say something about that? They don't know. Are you worried about that? No, like, I feel like it's pretty like, it's pretty easy to be neutral and just like, it's kind of like, I remember I was like sitting at the table, like wait, like waiting for the instructions and just kind of like looking around the room and not trying to make any eye contact.
[00:05:33] I didn't want someone to be like, she looked at me three times. Oh, well, she only looked at me once and like, she must hate me. And I'm just like, okay, let me just be cool and stuff. Um, but I obviously did like exchange glances. I just tried to be very neutral and on my best behavior. So. Yeah. Yeah. Imagine I went in there and just blew everything up. That'd be terrible. I mean, couldn't have been me. Cause I would have grabbed drew by his shoulders and just shook them like an etch-a-sketch. What are you doing?
[00:05:57] No, it's, but it is really funny when you like me going in there and like looking around and seeing like, oh, I know something. You don't know. Like you're sitting next to your enemy or you have no clue you're being targeted. It's kind of crazy, but it's also fun. Cause I felt like I had like several dirty little secrets, which is always nice. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, I had seen that you, uh, did refer to Mallory as pipe queen and they seemed, they seemed happy that that made it to the outside world. Yeah.
[00:06:26] What's so funny about that. Um, so essentially how it happened is like in between I'm trying to, I'm going to share as much as I can. Right. So in between rounds, there's like, as I always say, like in the thing, like, oh, like by random order, this person's first, so on and so forth. So when, when we were getting ready for the second round, um, they were all like cheering everybody on, you know, like, and then they were like, uh, they're like, let's go pipe queen, whatever, whatever.
[00:06:51] And so I made a joke in my earpiece to production being like, oh, like what if I called Mallory pipe queen? And Kamu who was close to me and like, I think Lyric and Yash heard that and they're like, call her pipe queen, call her pipe queen. And I didn't like address, like, I didn't respond because obviously like I was talking to production. So I think that just kind of like went down the line of like, oh, they, I heard them call her pipe queen. Therefore I'm saying yes. Like, you know, as a joke. Right.
[00:07:16] Um, so I find it funny that, um, it kind of all started from, from that, but I mean, I did tell them I watched live feeds, which is where we all know her as pipe queen. So sure. I didn't think I really leaked anything crazy. Cause I literally sat them at the table and was like, yeah, I watched live feeds. I made it very clear that I was like, but what a thrill when you're using, it was like when Megan, the stallion came to love Island and talked about Kenzie do the clam slam. And they were all so excited.
[00:07:44] No, totally. I mean, I remember watching the feeds and I got tagged everywhere. Everyone sent me like, you know, things. It's so cool to hear them kind of like geek out and be like, oh my God, Morgan was here. Like I had heard that Taylor was saying, like, I just want Morgan to crown me. Like, it's just cool stuff like that, where it's like me, you guys are all talking about like me. So crazy. An icon. It's crazy though. Right. It's kind of wild. Yeah.
[00:08:20] Did you, uh, can you remind us who won this competition? Yes. So I was the host of this competition because I remember I had hosted a previous competition, but I only like read off numbers. And so Vince was the HOH and I was like, Vince, please. Like, I haven't got a hosting job. Like, let me just, I know I can do good at hosting. I do this in the real world. Sometimes let me do that. And so I got to host and Mickey got to win. And so that was really special.
[00:08:45] I did talk about it in some of my DRs, but I didn't think it would make the episode because it's, it's not, it's about them and not about my experience. Yeah. Um, but I did share that in there in case they were to have used it, but it was definitely really special. Um, cause it just brought me back when I got to crown Mickey when she won the video. So definitely will always have like a sentimental value. And maybe if I'm lucky enough, I'll be able to host it every year. Yeah. You should be the permanent host this. I think so too. I think that's a great idea. I'm going to tell them that. Yeah. I was kidding.
[00:09:14] How do they get a mouth-comming thing? That's my question. So I don't believe I'm allowed to share. Although at the same time, like I've personally never done it myself cause I've been a host for both of them. So I actually have never even been behind the scenes. Like, I mean, I've seen the area, but I don't even, you know, but my lips are sealed. Yeah. How do you think you would be at this competition? Cause you're such a good reader of people.
[00:09:40] And if people are lying to you, I feel like you'd be really good at this. I feel like I would do pretty decent. I feel like someone like Taylor though. I mean, like she was stone cold. Yeah. Like watching the episode. Cause for me, I'm looking at people's backs per se. Like I can kind of see a little bit, but like when I'm watching it, I can actually see people's facial expressions. But like Taylor was so stone cold.
[00:10:02] So I feel like on certain people like that, it might be a little harder, which is where I feel like engaging and like interacting is more important where I feel like other like house guests, we didn't really see them, you know, engage. Cause you want to see as someone shaking is, you know, like that's kind of how you have to play it, I think. But I feel like I would do pretty decent. Yeah. I feel like I'd be okay. But Taylor really was so good at it. She seemed to be the only person who was like asking follow-up questions and wanting to gauge the reactions of everybody.
[00:10:30] And she really, I thought was a, such a, a strong player at this. Yeah. I, I wasn't sure who was going to win. I actually had, I thought that either Melody Haley or Taylor was going to win just because I think in the house, they're the ones that typically have a better poker face compared to Mallory and Drew and Chuck. Um, but I, I, at the end of the day, I was really hoping for like an underdog to win.
[00:10:56] Cause I was like, just something that gives some sort of shift, please anything. So hopefully that continues. Maybe Taylor started a trend to kind of get something going for this Thursday's HOH. Knock on wood. Fingers crossed. Yeah. I know there theoretically is some strategy to this. I'm not going to say there's not, but there's like, would we classify this as a crapshoot? Cause it really comes down to like what the other person against you is going to pick. Like you don't have a final say in. Yeah. Cause I say an indie round.
[00:11:26] I think it can. I mean, maybe I think for example, like Haley wasn't picked, um, in either round. So she was always the one who had to read the person and not know. So I feel like that's more of like the crapshoot end of it is like, you end up not getting picked. But I think in general it is a 50 50. And like, I feel like once they hit the table, that's where you have to like, turn it up. Like, are you going to ask questions? Are you going to try to get a read on something? Like when I was listening to Taylor, like she had pretty good reads on how people were even just standing. Like, I guess Drew would step back or something like that.
[00:11:55] And I was like, Oh, that's interesting. Like, you know, some people have different tells. I thought that Taylor did it so perfectly, especially that first round where she was with Drew and Drew gave her the thing. And she said, okay, I want to switch. And then she was able to read him. And I guess that she didn't say that he's a pretty easy person to read and that she could tell. Totally. But nobody else was really doing that. Nobody else was really sort of like peppering the person with questions. They're sort of like, here's your drink. Like, okay.
[00:12:23] Yeah, I feel like even on our season, because like my season, obviously it was the first person to do that. And they do instruct like, yeah, like, you know, have fun, go back and forth. I think they were a lot more mobile as far as moving back and forth. And once they got to their person, I think kind of reminded me of my season where I think some people are just afraid to maybe do that. Or maybe they don't want to take up too much time. But one thing I always think about, I'm like, they got all the time in the world. Yeah. Like, you know, you can negotiate for an hour if you want. I mean, I'm sure they'd probably, you know, be like, okay, like, what are we feeling? But you know what I mean?
[00:12:51] I think in general, there's like people like Mallory, for example, who I think wears her emotions on her sleeves. I think she was probably just a little nervous to do that because she maybe didn't want to mess up and didn't want to get read. So she was just like, I'm just gonna hand it and hope for the best. Um, but yeah, maybe as the seasons go, we'll see a lot more interactions and exchanges. I think that'll be fun. Yeah, for sure. How long did people have to lay on the ground and pretend to be dead? Oh, the whole time.
[00:13:19] So like once Mallory was down, she was down the whole time. And like literally when like you see us like going into like the house, like they were still out there. Yeah. The competition is so long on the show. How long would you say it lasts while you're out there? Because it's like 45 minutes of our episode, Morgan. Oh yeah. I just can't believe they laid there for that long. Yeah, it's definitely long.
[00:13:41] Like we were definitely out there for a couple, I would probably say a couple, I mean, I would like to say a couple of hours, but like, I don't know what time I necessarily went in because I don't have a watch and I didn't see what time I left. But we're also having so much fun that like, it's like, you know, time flies when you're having fun. So I don't actually know. But I would like to say if it was like a 45 minute part portion of the episode, it's safe to say maybe around two hours, maybe something more. But I think it's also because like, you know, Haley and Taylor were two people that like, and Melody all had their lives out of the first round.
[00:14:10] So it's like, well, obviously there's me three people, but like, you know what I mean? It's just like naturally going to be that way. But yeah. Yeah. I really want to give a compliment to big brother in that the costuming that they've done on the show in the last couple of years has really been just light years ahead of where it is to the point where even the people who aren't in the veto competition are like in the full, you know, masquerade ball attire.
[00:14:38] And that's really incredible. The amount of work that goes into that. Yeah. I mean, they've always been so great with their with their costumes. I mean, like last year, we all looked like we were going to like just some sort of gala. And so this year when I saw my costume, like in my room, I was like, oh, my gosh. And like, I was like the hips and everything. I felt so royal and fancy. It was it was so great.
[00:15:03] And we had like the masks and stuff. It was like really easy to get into character or at least feel like it. But yeah, the costume department always slays. I love the costume department. Well, I mean, they do now. The issue is that it was definitely not that always. Yeah. Whatever they did now. The first Bluff Me and Vito was back in like Big Brother 5 and they're just standing around a poker table being like, so what are you liking a woman? Am I telling the truth or am I lying? You know, that was it. And so we've come light years away from that.
[00:15:32] It totally I feel like even if you think of like BB comics, they used to just have a shirt that said like BB comics. And now they actually give you like the cape and the, you know, the stuff. So no, totally. That's funny. When I saw the picture of Hayley on the live feeds right after she won HOH before we saw the episode, I thought that that was announcing that she had won the Lord of the Latrine. And I thought that that was what the outfit was. Oh, that's so true. It looks just like that. She had like the little blue hat and stuff. Yeah. No, that's so right.
[00:16:01] I that comp was great. I actually loved that HOH comp. That was really fun. We did. We had a version on my season, too. Yes. Yeah, that's that's been a new one that I think has been fun. The dollhouse one. Yeah. Yeah. It seemed like that everybody was also having a lot of fun in the peanut gallery making comments. I did think that Yash was a little out of pocket when he said to Lala, he said this. The tension is thicker than your hips, my lady.
[00:16:33] I didn't even hear that when I was when I was hosting that. That was so funny. Yeah. Yeah. I think what's fun is like, obviously, production wants you to really get into this like this, even though this is a show and your life is on the line for seven hundred thousand dollars like you want to have fun. And I love that they kind of like really got into it. But it's it's really great. Like even when when Drew died, I like because obviously they can't show everything. But I was like, you know, panicking and I was like, Devon, go check, go check. And like he runs up and that's where you kind of see him like checking.
[00:17:03] And that's when he looks and he's like, he did. Like it was. He did. It was so good. I just really enjoyed everyone kind of getting into it. I think it's more fun for the players that are watching because like, like, you know, we saw Taylor like she was stone cold locked in. Like she was not about to get into no type of character except I'm about to make sure everybody dies and I'm like winning this veto, which I respected. So, yeah. What was the energy in the house when you went in? Oh, it was electric. Like I was not I don't know.
[00:17:31] I wasn't really expecting anything. I was just excited to get in there. I was like, oh, my God, if I could move in right now, I totally would. But then like that would be cheating because I know everything. But I was like, I couldn't wait to get in. Like when they did the first doorbell, they're like, OK, we're going to ring it a couple of times. Then, you know, whatever. Everyone will kind of like get towards the front door. And I was just like, I just want to barge in there. I want to go in there. But it was so electric. Like it was so loud. I'm trying to remember everything. I just remember Taylor bursting over like Drew jumping up in the air.
[00:17:58] Angela coming over and everyone wanting to be like, oh, yeah, like it was just it was very electric. I mean, even it's weird because like when when you're when you walk in, it's exciting and everything's great. But then you also know like this is a game. And so like obviously there's, you know, when we're waiting for the table to move, it moves. I was like, oh, my God, it actually moves. I thought that was just something that happens on TV. It's definitely moves. Yes.
[00:18:21] Um, and I feel like once the veto started, like you can definitely sometimes cut tensions with the knife. You know, you can feel it in the air, especially when it was like Haley versus Drew. The hips. Exactly. Thicker than the hips. Like that was crazy. Like the Haley versus Drew. I was like, oh, this one's this one's interesting because obviously as a viewer and a live feeder, I know exactly what's at stake for everyone here. And it was just wild. It was crazy.
[00:18:49] OK, so you were there and it was Saturday and it was sort of in the midst of the mass pandemonium around who had the power. Was it maybe Drew? Did he have a coin? Was he not using it? Were you at all trying to deduce whether or not Drew had the power when you were there?
[00:19:14] I mean, I don't know necessarily if I was trying to because I don't think that there would have been a way for me to figure it out. All I was thinking was like, for one, if Drew, if you have this, like, what the fuck are you doing? For one. Right. Like, don't piss me off. Like, genuinely, if we get to like this next episode and I find out you have it, like, I will literally feel some type of way when you get out of this house. Yeah, go get them. Yeah. Yeah. Right.
[00:19:41] Like, I will take that time machine to a time where I can whoop on you and then come back like it never happened. But then it's also like I was curious because he's felt so comfortable. I was like, does because, you know, at that time we didn't know if he genuinely felt like he was a pawn. And so I was like, if I if I come out here and he throws his veto, I'm actually might tackle him myself. Like right now, I might just be like production. I'm taking matters in my own hands because I wasn't sure. Luckily, he didn't try to do that. But you just never know what these house guests sometimes sometimes they get too comfortable.
[00:20:09] And they just want to throw some stupid conversation like competition. It's silly. Yeah. What about was there anybody else that you felt like maybe you got like a different impression from them meeting them in person than you have from watching them on the show in the feeds? Chuck. I was surprised. Yeah, he has like some charisma. He seems really nice. Like, I mean, people were laughing at him. Like people like people really were enjoying Chuck. And I was like on the feeds. I don't really get that.
[00:20:37] Like, it's hard for me to find a personality, no shade. Like, you know, people call him Chuck GBT. And like I was surprised to see that maybe there isn't really much GBT after all. But so for you, Morgan, are you saying? It's Chuck time. No, I when I said literally when I watched this, I said, did he just say it's Chuck time? I said he did Chuck time. It's Chuck time.
[00:21:04] Yeah, I mean, I think in general, like even like Yash, like I feel like a lot of people that you don't see, like have a lot of personality maybe on the feeds, like really showed it when I was there. But I mean, I don't know. They were excited. But like, you know, for example, like D and Devins, they're definitely more like reserved. I think it's also because like that's just how they are as players. I think they're still kind of locked in. Plus, they're good with TV. Like they know like when to keep it on, when to not. But I did think that like Yash and Devins had some like nice interactions with each other, like being funny together.
[00:21:33] So it was nice to see, like I said, the house guests kind of loosen up a little bit. Lyric was the sweetest thing on the planet. Like so sweet, which didn't surprise me at all. Like she came up to me after the veto was over and she's like, Morgan, she's like, you're so pretty. I can't stop staring at you. I was like, oh, my God. I was like, I'm gonna be like Lyric. I was my little Polly pocket, put you in my little pocket. Like she's just so cute. So cute. But it was cool. And even Pipe Queen, like when I was saying goodbye to everyone, she came up to me. She's like, can I have a hug?
[00:22:00] And I was like, I was like the little, like we call them the littles. Like the littles asking for hugs is just like the sweetest thing. I was just like, I want to just like scoop you guys up and come in here and like rip this house apart. Because I'm so sick of like what's happening to them. I really hope that we see a turn of events on Thursday. Like I don't think I've ever like wanted something to change so much in a Big Brother game. Yeah. Because this season has been so different than your season. And I know that I feel this way.
[00:22:29] I certainly know Chappelle does too. I don't want to speak for Mary. But your season was just so exciting from week to week to week. And you kept us glued all the way through. We didn't have a boring week. No, it was funny because I was watching this with my Patreon. And I was like, I can't believe you guys watched me like three times a week on this episode. And they were like, girl, we watched you 25. Seven days a week. I mean, yeah.
[00:22:58] Like, what do you mean three days a week? And I was like, oh, that's right. The feeds. It's really cool. I guess I don't know when you're in there and when I was playing the game, I wasn't really thinking about the outside impact I was having. I wasn't thinking about the live feeds. I was just gaming. I was like, I'm trying to win this fucking game. I'm going to do whatever it takes to win this game. I don't care if I stay up till six o'clock every morning. Like I used to have a joke with my DR rep. That was like the night shift. Yeah. He would always be like, you're like, Morgan, any chance you're getting sleep tonight? I'm like, come on, you know me. What is sleep?
[00:23:27] Like I just never, you know, I'd always say like, you know, clocking into work and stuff. So, yeah, it's great to know that people really enjoyed the season. I've been feeling kind of bad for season 28 because I keep seeing tweets that are like going to go back and watch season 27 to feel something. I'm like, oh, no, not to feel something. Like, but you know what? I'll take it. I mean, you were there, but you had to be there. You don't, you was on the inside, so you didn't see what we saw.
[00:23:54] But we were going through it every week, every day. It was like, it was dire. Poor Taryn. He lost so much weight. He got it back. It's all in his arms now, but he's back. It took a lot out of him. I didn't think he was going to make it to this season. Not in his hips? Digger than Taryn's arms. Yeah. We only see him from the top half, Mary. We have no idea. Does he have hips? Yeah. No, that's so funny. I think it is definitely a different experience for me because like watching how the live feeds are and like how the live feeds work. Like I knew of the live feeds.
[00:24:24] I knew that it was cameras. I wasn't actually sure. I was under the impression that the live feeds were always on conversations where more people were having. Or I didn't think that they were, you know, when I was in the gym punching the fucking punching bag. Like, why are you watching that? Like, oh, okay. I guess it's, you know, who knows. But it is very interesting for me to see a new perspective of the game because I think, Chappelle, you said it perfectly. Like, it's different when you're watching it. Like, I have that. People tell me that all the time. They're like, Morgan, you had to be there. And like, you were in there.
[00:24:53] So you'll never understand what it was like in our shoes watching what was happening, you know? So fascinating. It's real to us. Let's talk about the HOH reign of Haley. And Morgan, welcome to stay for as long as you would like on the show. I'm not sure if you have, you know, other... I have turned at like 7.30.
[00:25:20] So like, I got about, what is that, like 10 minutes? Yeah, okay. All right. Well, I actually, do you have any other hot takes that you want to drop on us? Hot takes. Hot take. I actually love that veto comp. Some people don't like it. I think it's a great comp. I've seen some people that like, they don't like it because it's like 50-50. I feel like some people I had seen suggest where like, you should be able to go up to anybody and be able to like offer like a... Or like, I don't know. I don't... I was like, that's the same thing.
[00:25:50] It's just that some people have no clue what they're talking about. Anyway, I like the veto comp. I've seen some people that were... Some people just think it's too much of like a crapshoot or like the fact that you... I don't know. I think it's great. And I love that everyone dresses up. It's not the challenge. This is Big Brother. There's crapshoots. That's life. Exactly. Like, there has to be crapshoots. As far as other hot takes, I don't know. I think... I fear that if the same power structure wins HOH next week, it's going to be a really rough
[00:26:20] season to stick like with a lot of viewers. And that's what makes me worried. A lot of people are unhappy right now. It's very boring. I think... Yes. I mean, this HOH was... I mean, this HOH-itis, I should say, was quite interesting to watch. You know? That's... That's... Something. You know? Yeah. Wouldn't you agree? Yeah. What do you make of Haley's HOH this week? I mean... Personally, I will say this.
[00:26:46] Like, I know a lot of people don't necessarily like her as a person, but I will say she's great casting. I'm really enjoying the whole, like, Melody-Haley kind of situation. Um, while I think her reasonings for a lot of things are kind of interesting, I think, um, you know, one thing that is still gold to me is how she was telling Melody that she had a really hard three weeks. I was like, oh, girl. Like, hard three weeks? She said, like, what she thought was hard, possibly, about it?
[00:27:14] I feel like the only thing I gathered from her on the live feeds was, like, she just didn't like that she wasn't winning. And I'm like, oh, well, not winning versus being on the block, girl. Like, there's... You know, because I understand what it's like to not win. I was very upset about not winning. And, like, I mean, I luckily was safe during the times... Well, not all the times where I wasn't winning. You know, it is hard when someone tries to throw a competition to you and you still fail. Yeah, that was hard. That was a hard week. I thought that, too.
[00:27:43] I was like, wait, Devin's literally handed it to her? Yeah. I mean, what's your guys' take on the HOH? What do you guys think? Well, I think it's really been... While it's not the outcome that we wanted, like, I do think that she has emerged as a fun TV character. And I, you know, I'm going to say the H word. A fun TV character to hate. Not to say that we should be hating people on television. But I think that she...
[00:28:13] The editors are having a lot of fun with her. Yeah. Yeah, and because what I was thinking is, like, you know, obviously there's edits that try to shape the character how they are, where she's giving them exactly how she... Like, they don't even... I can promise you they are not asking her, hey, can you say this? That she's in there going off just like Melody is. Like, they are having a blast with them. And I love this edit. I love that it's kind of building this feud, which is why I really want Melody to stay. I need this feud to build.
[00:28:41] I need Melody to be able to take a shot back at her. I'm not ready for her to go. But I feel like the one thing I can feel this season in particular, so far every week, I haven't wanted anybody on the block to go. So I'm just like, this fucking sucks. Like, I don't want anyone to go this week either. I think Lyric has a lot of room to make some leeway in her game. I think Drew would be fun to come back and basically blow up Devin's game as he's talking about, but like, go at the red corner. I want Melody to stay because I think she's the one person that will actually take a big
[00:29:09] swing and not be afraid or persuaded. But one of them's leaving. So it's like, damn, like, but yeah. I know that you were waiting for the wall comp when you were in the house. And it was kind of a turning point in your game because once the wall comp came and you didn't win, then all you did, like Yash's hero, DJ Khalid, was win, win, win, win, win. No matter what. Yeah.
[00:29:38] And it seems like there's some talk maybe this week could be the wall comp. Are you feeling wall comp this week? You know, when I was in the house, I remember after our week five was called the Jack the Dipper and it was a knockout comp. And I remember Rachel Riley said, I love talking about Jack always Jack the Dipper was our company though. Yes. Oh yes. I see what you're saying. Um, uh, Rachel in the house said week five is always knockout.
[00:30:07] And I was like, oh, she's done this show three times. She knows what she's talking about. So I'm actually assuming it's a knockout, but I'm like, it's been closed for like a week. So it could be wall comp. My wall comp, I think was two weeks later. I've actually been asking other alumni. I was like, when was your guys' wall comp? And some actually had it this week. So I feel like it could be, we are due for some sort of like physical endurance HOH. I was hoping it was going to be pressure cooker, but I actually don't know where they do pressure cooker.
[00:30:34] Cause like our pressure cooker was in like the have not room at final five when Keanu, um, versus Vince was the last two standing, but wall comp would be interesting, but it also was a little scary because I think Kamu is very capable of winning wall comp. Um, but so is Mallory and so is D but again, it's like, that's two on the other side versus I I'm just scared. I'm, I'm feeling like Lauren and I'm scared. You know what I mean? Yeah. So I'm scared. Do you have a pick?
[00:31:04] Do you think it's, it would be Kamu that would win the wall comp? Um, I'm going to put all my money in Mallory. I don't care. I will. If I have to like give her like telepathic powers, which I won't personally give them from me. Cause like I fell, but maybe like all the energy I didn't get to use, I can just telepathically give to her since I literally just ate shit twice. Um, so maybe I can give her everything that I didn't get to use and hopefully Mallory can pull out a win. Cause I think I can just picture her like just erupting and I need that for my soul.
[00:31:34] Like I genuinely do. I don't want to come to H-O-H. Yeah. Um, I would say if, if that did happen this week, I think, uh, much like Haley, I would say. Kamu ruined my buzz. Yes. That's what a lot of people said that. Yeah. No, totally. Now that interaction was so interesting. I was like, like, I love how Angela was just sitting there and she was just like, all she needed was just really popcorn.
[00:32:02] That was a very juicy interaction. I enjoyed it. Yeah. Cause Morgan, I know how the alcohol consumption is pretty limited in the big brother house, but we got like the, the setup of here's Haley with her bottle of wine. And she's like, I'm drinking this whole bottle of wine tonight. And you saw it. And then we got into this back and forth with Haley and Kamu. Yeah. It was so interesting because it's like, you can tell that Kamu is very self-interested
[00:32:31] and like, but he is for the Alliance, but he's also self-interested. And I think it's funny that like Haley also like, they're like the same people just in opposite bodies, you know, because I thought it was funny that he's like, you asked me. And it's like, well, obviously she's going to ask because she wants to hear out options, but that doesn't mean she's going to do it. And she had the right read. Why is she going to save Lyric when clearly Lyric is closer to Kamu? Like she's, it made, to me, I think it was great for her to make the deal with Mallory. I think it was great for Mallory to take the deal.
[00:33:00] One less person that she can possibly be targeted by. Although I'm kind of hoping Mallory doesn't keep the deal. She's going to, but like, I kind of hope she's not just because I would love to see a red corner block more than anything. Yeah. Regardless of whether or not this is at all love triangle related or not, kind of doesn't matter. I feel like if, if you're, if you're Haley and Lyric is, is closer to Kamu and or Chuck
[00:33:27] and you're close to Kamu and Chuck, but you and Lyric are not super close. This doesn't really benefit you. 100%. Around. So yeah, I, I understand the pushback here. Yeah. I mean, I obviously am, you know, privy to taking out my closest allies, closest allies, because if there's going to be anybody who's having a closest ally, it's going to be me. Like, I don't want to have to compete for somebody like to potentially sit next to the block to your other closest and you have to choose.
[00:33:56] I already went through a five to four vote and I almost shit myself on national television. I was not about to have that happen again. Yeah. So I think it's great that Haley is trying to do things. What's best for her game and telling Kamu like, Hey, you can shove it. I'm going to do what I want. And I actually am glad that she kind of stood her ground because I do think while I do want Lyric to stay so she can put Kamu up on the block, as I think that'd be funny. I actually don't know if she would, even though she says she would, I don't think she would. Yeah.
[00:34:24] Morgan, if you were Kamu in that situation, how would you have approached, you know, pushing to maybe keep Lyric in the house? It's tough because I think with Lyric's track record of not voting to keep her allies, like hurt her, which is oddly like to me, like I think back to when Rachel didn't keep Amy and she was like, I didn't want to keep her because I didn't want you guys to evict me or make a target. Like I think people underestimate how like understanding people are.
[00:34:51] Like, I don't think people would have gotten upset at her if she kept Rome or Jason. Like, it's like, those are your closest allies. Now, granted, I don't disagree with her throwing Mallory under the bus necessarily because she's trying to save her life. Like, you got to do what you got to do. And I think Lyric is a very self-interested player, which is why I love listening to her DRs because you, I think we learn more about Lyric through her DRs than we do on the feeds. Feeds, I'm kind of like chasing her to try to figure out who she's telling the truth to because she's pretty much lying to everybody. So it's really hard to kind of keep up.
[00:35:20] But I think in that case, like, I think Kamu would have had to try to be as, like, with Haley, like, you need Haley to think it's her idea. So it's kind of like something where, like, he would have to really guide her into like, okay, well, let's just break down Mallory and Lyric. Let's go over pros and cons. Like, this is kind of what I did with people in the house. I would go over pros and cons and kind of like forget to like list certain pros and like put more cons. You know what I mean?
[00:35:47] And it's like something that I think maybe he could have used by like being like, oh, well, I mean, I've had conversations with Lyric. And like, she's generally said this. Now, I think Haley's very stuck in her ways, but it's an option. And maybe even trying to pull Angela. Like, Angela, like, how do you feel about Lyric? I feel like you have great conversations with her. You know, like kind of like leading that. But I don't think Haley was ever planning on putting up Lyric. Or sorry, not putting up Lyric, regardless. Haley really came after Lyric in that conversation where she's like,
[00:36:14] and, you know, I really think it's kind of a bad thing you're doing, throwing your friends under the bus and coming to me. But I just think that Haley is pretty hypocritical. And that if she didn't throw her friends under the bus, she would have come after Lyric and been like, so you're hearing things about me and you're not bringing them to me. So that's why you're going up on the block.
[00:36:41] Like, well, as we heard Haley say to Angela in this episode, she's going to come up with a reason, even if she pulls it out of her ass. Yeah, yeah. For why no one's on the block. You're totally right, Mary. I was like, literally going to bring that up. I was like, she kind of did that with Taylor. She just came up with something. So I think no matter what, even if she didn't. She chuckled at the teapots. Mind you, Angela was like cackling. You know, I'm just like, it's funny. I'm enjoying like the, I feel like, I don't know how it was for my season,
[00:37:10] but like, there's a lot of comedic stuff, stuff happening on the episodes, which I'm loving. Like I'm loving these DRs. Like I'm eating them up. They're so great. I think they're hilarious, especially from like Mallory and Melody, just hearing their like hatred for the other side. And like, you know, I think it's great. And I, yeah, again, I'm just going to keep pushing it into the air atmosphere, but I really hope that the other side wins something. But then we have the diamond power of Vito and it's just like. Like, well, listen,
[00:37:39] the thing about the diamond power of Vito is, uh, you know, like I know people are like, okay, it's a steamroll. It's a steamroll. It's a steamroll. But what about when Rick and D turn on the red corner? Like that's going to be fun. Yeah. It's just, hopefully it's not in jury. I would love to see it before, you know, I would love to see at least one red corner, not make jury because otherwise it's like the six of them. And then what three other players who just so happened to get in there,
[00:38:08] like, and who knows if they decide to stay six strong, not, not, not that I'm not including Barrett. I just like, I don't know what Barrett is going to plan on doing, you know, he doesn't know either. It's fine. I think he's just playing very cautious, which I think is smart. He needs to, but I need to see more from him for sure. Okay. Morgan, do you need to run? Yes, I do. Morgan, please let everybody know where they can keep up with everything that you're doing.
[00:38:36] Cause you're so locked in, in big brother, 28 and big brother, 27. Yes, I'm very locked in. I stream on Twitch, uh, twitch.tv backslash model more. You can find me every Wednesday and Sundays. I have a little game bot with Corey Wurtenberger from season 25, where we talk about how we're feeling. Um, and then we also do player rankings as well. Um, and then on all my socials, um, of course, uh, some of them are underscore model more. Others are model more. Either way, if you just type model Mark, you'll be able to find me. Yeah. And yeah, if you didn't watch tonight's episode, go watch it.
[00:39:06] And then you'll see me again. Okay. And we're all such big fans of your content. We love, we love when we see clips of everything that you're doing. And so, uh, thank you so much for being here and make it some time to talk to us on a big night for you. Oh my gosh. Of course. No, thank you. Um, I really appreciate it. Even just squeezing me in and just, you know, all the stuff. I can't wait to talk more big brother as the season goes on, but have a great rest of your podcast. Bye everyone. Thanks so much, Morgan. Okay. Thank you.
[00:39:36] How about that? It's exciting. Somebody from right inside the house from, from the past, even Mary, uh, came back and, uh, laced us up on what was going on in the house. Yeah. Yeah. From the, as the house guest said, medieval times. Medieval times. Yes. Late 1700s. Very medieval. Yeah. Very medieval.
[00:39:56] So I want to actually talk about Dee and Rick Devins and the power tonight because finally in this episode, it, it clicked for me what Dee is doing with Rick Devins and the power. And we had that moment where Rick Devins was in the shower and there's a little something for everybody at home, uh, Rick Devins showering. And here he is. And he says to Dee, hey, did you get it?
[00:40:24] And she said, no, I swear to God, I didn't get it. But we got a diary room from Dee. And she said, the reason I'm not telling Rick Devins is I need to have something in the final two to be able to say that I kept the secret from Rick Devins.
[00:40:42] And as many survivor fans can remember that people look at that as the killer move that Dee made in the survivor 45 final tribal council where she had the secret from Austin. And then in the final tribal council, she dropped it on the jury where Austin was talking about the vote where Julie went home.
[00:41:06] And she said, uh, actually, and she's doing the new era survivor thing of having a secret that you break out at the final tribal council. In general, I like being able to differentiate yourself at your final conversation. I, I, I wonder, I kind of disagree that it needs to be a physical thing, like a power.
[00:41:30] I think just a move or even just like a thought process, like you could just say at the end, I had tons of stuff that I never told Rick Devins or something like that, whatever. Yeah. I think the thing is it's more beneficial in a game where if you can almost guarantee that you have like a solid tight to ally in the way that I think at this point, Dee and Devins more or less have, especially from Dee's perspective of Devins has already told her his power.
[00:41:58] It benefits you more, I think, to be able to have a person you can openly strategize with. I think that's like the biggest benefit, whether it's survivor or big brother of having someone that, you know, you can go to and give your thoughts to and strategize with, and they're going to have your back. The part where I question is like, how much is this bribery power really going to be able to be used? If Dee is like, look, probably not gonna be able to do much with this, so let me just go ahead and have it be my thing.
[00:42:24] I think for me personally, I would worry it's week three and I'm going to have to keep up this lie for the whole time. And that seems harder than just, I mean, telling Devins, telling multiple people that you have it. I don't know. I really feel like the best, the best thing is probably to, if you can find a way to get a punishment, that's the way you just escape by. Make one up, you know, just start doing something weird and be like, oh, it's my punishment. I guess I got the votes this week.
[00:42:54] I think that if she got to the end and I was on the jury and she said, I had this bribe, I could have gave you however many dollars to get you to do what I wanted to do. And I didn't even use it. I said, so you had the opportunity to give me a stack of money and you did not do that. Yeah. Well, I guess we have to see what it's like on the other foot. Okay. Because I'm not going to reward that behavior. I'm sorry. You could have paid me. So I do think she will use it. But I think that she wants to have something.
[00:43:23] If she gets to the end with Devins, I think that she wants to be able to have a reveal. And again, this is a very Survivor thing. I don't think we've ever seen this in Big Brother. But we've seen it a lot where a person in the final tribal council loves to say, actually, you don't have that right. I think that we even got that a little bit in Survivor 50 where Aubrey was wanted on the Aussie vote to say, actually, this happened this way.
[00:44:22] Well, actually, you didn't know. I had the BB bribe. Like, I think that that's what she wants to do. And seeing what has worked for her in the past, I guess this makes sense where she feels like the actual power is stupid. But I can use it in a way where I can really put a stamp on my game at the final two. And that's how far ahead she's thinking of, like, this is going to be in my speech in the final two. Stop it, Rob. She's had a hard few weeks. Yeah.
[00:44:52] Here's my question with the whole, like, and someone brings this up in the chat. I think Red Wing Princess. Can you fake a punishment? Like, not a costume, but like, oh, it's my punishment where I have to go run 100 laps around the backyard in five hours and then just do that? Is that using production as a strategy? You're like, stop using production as a strategy. But, Mary, what if you don't say it? What if you just start running? And you're like, I can't tell you what it's about. If you start doing a couple weird things and people think maybe you have a punishment, like, does that count?
[00:45:23] Like, oh, shoot, every hour I have to go collect all of the clocks in the house and pile them up and then go put them up. Can't say why. Can't say why. I think you can do it. I think that the issue would be somebody who goes into the BB time capsule is able to see how many powers and punishments have been taken. So, like, let's say that next week, you know, Taylor goes in and she ends up seeing what the board looks like.
[00:45:51] It's like, oh, actually, you know, one punishment is gone and two powers are gone. So, okay. Yeah. I mean, there's probably not much D could do. I mean, you're right. She's trying to maximize this kind of okay power. But as the chat has pointed out and, you know, I'm pretty sure a lot of people are thinking that getting to the end and not using it, that's probably not going to be great either. They're just to be like, I had a thing and it never happened. And people are like, okay, you know, Tyler Crispin, BB-20, he's yelling about the cloud power. I think he answered cloud power three times during the jury questioning.
[00:46:21] And it's like, hey, we don't care. We don't care. We don't care. And he's still lost. And so, yeah, she's going to have to do something with it. It doesn't necessarily have to be paying somebody, but she has to at least use it to show that not only was her and Devin's in charge the entire time, but she actually did something with the power that she got, not just sat by and just let time expire. Yeah. All right. Well, let's pivot for who do we think is going to get the power coming into this next week?
[00:46:51] The three vets are off of the board. Taryn has, I know, is keeping an eye on the edits all week long in terms of who's going to get the power. I did think this was a pretty big night for Taylor. I thought she came off pretty amazing in the episode. Drew was featured again. I know that he was somebody who at least we were convinced could have gotten the power last week. Mary, what do you think? Who's getting the power or the punishment next? Who's getting the time capsule?
[00:47:22] If she stays, I think Melody has a decent shot. I think both Melody and Mallory have been highlighted pretty well. Mallory. Mallory has also won some competitions, which, you know, a lot of the voting audience likes. So I think that they are both in a pretty decent spot. I think Taylor might also, especially after this episode, maybe long shot to Drew. I'm just not really sure what the, like, casual audience opinion is on Drew.
[00:47:52] But I think at this point, I mean, now that we've run out, I feel like it's for sure underdog territory is where we're looking. Yeah. I'd probably, I'd probably go Melody number one, though, just based on if she stays. Yeah. I'm probably with Melody and Taylor. I feel like Mallory's been doing this same shtick this whole time. Like, I'm going to win and take y'all. Okay. You're not. Okay. So stop it. You know, like, so when Melody does it, it feels fresh. It feels new. You know, it's like when Taylor did in this episode, it felt fresh. It was like, okay.
[00:48:21] And then we watched her lock in and actually win something that could change the game a little bit. We've seen the Pipe Queen win challenges before. That's how she got her name, the Pipe Queen. But her DRs are so one note. It's always, and I say one note, but they're aggressively one note, right? It's like, I'm going to take these motherfuckers. You know, like, she's right there. But she's not actually delivering. Whereas the pure hatred that's coming from Melody, it just feels right, right? Like, it just like, it burns a little bit, but it burns so good. She's like, oh, she's so fake. She's so phony.
[00:48:51] I'm like, yeah, it's more. More. So she got my vote. Her and Taylor. Was this episode the first time that calling her the Pipe Queen actually made it onto the show? Because she said that in a DR this episode. No, it's been mentioned a couple times on the show before. Yeah. She is the Pipe Queen, but she needs to win HOH. At this point, winning the Blockbuster, winning the veto, it's not doing y'all any favors. You have to get real power. And, you know, even though we know there's an advantage that could usurp that, it doesn't necessarily mean they're going to use it this time around.
[00:49:21] You know, maybe you can get some of these people on the block. She says she wants to keep Hayley off the block. So I'm not rooting for Mallory to get any power because I want Hayley on the block. And so I'm rooting for Melody because Melody would put Hayley on the block. Yeah. That's what I want to see. Melody had a very dramatic diary room at the end of the episode also with like a very pregnant pause in the middle where she talked about how that she's on the block again because of fake Queen Hayley's HOH. She has to prioritize herself.
[00:49:48] And as she got teary eyed, she told us she doesn't want to go home. She's having the best time. Having so much fun. You know, it's too short. You know, Big Brother's a long ass game. She's got a long time in the house if she's managed to stay. But right now, you know, we're not even near jury right now, right? We still got a couple weeks. So she has to figure out a way to not only survive this week but put herself in a position where she's not going to be an easy target next week or the week after. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
[00:50:18] So it's going to be an interesting day on Friday to find out who's going to get the next power after, you know, because it's interesting also because there's a couple people who are on the block who could be potentially the people who could be likely to get it. Do we think Lyric has a shot at the power? She had a good episode. How much campaigning is Rome doing out there for her? How many people does he know? He wants her out the house. He's doing a lot. Yeah. He wants her at home. He said, I'm rooting against her.
[00:50:48] I need her to come home. I don't want her to win, Big Brother. I want her here with me. Yep. Okay. I'm paraphrasing. The other possibility on the BB time capsule. It's truck time. No, it's not. No, it's not. It's not. I know Morgan went in the house and she saw something different. We haven't seen. We haven't. It just doesn't. It doesn't translate to this. Look, Rob, it doesn't translate through the screen. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's not there.
[00:51:18] It's not giving what she said it had gave. I heard her say it. And I was like, she always lying. That's what she did in the Big Brother house. What's she doing now? She just. All she do is lie. She look good, but she lying. It's truck time. But just. Didn't Chuck say don't trust women? It sounds like he's saying it's truck time. Is what it sounds like. Yeah. He did. And he said, don't believe women. Don't trust women. And when Morgan said it, I said, you know what, Chuck? Chuck, you might have been right. That boy Chuck might.
[00:51:46] You know, that broken clock hit every now and then. I said, all right, Chuck. Because he knew. He knew. It's truck time. Are the casuals also maybe not happy with the fact that Lyric is throwing her friends under the bus? And not just. It's not just throwing her friends under the bus. She set Mallory up to be thrown under the bus. She was like, oh, Mallory. You're my bestie. Tell me. I don't know. I don't know. Sorry. She didn't say best friend. You're my bestest friend.
[00:52:15] Bestest friend. Baby talk came right out. I need you to tell me, like, if I was HOH, I'd put up whoever you want. And she's like, hold on. Let me write this down. Mallory said, yeah. I don't know who I would put up. She was like, you have to say a name, please. And so she says it. She's like, and that's it. I'm driving the truck right over. Mallory has not learned to not say names. I do wonder if Haley telling Lyric here, like, it's a little, it's a little sus that
[00:52:44] you keep throwing your friends under the bus and just jumping ship. I wonder if Lyric will actually maybe stop doing this after this point or not. She just needs to survive. She doesn't care. Well, that was the saga of Melody back in week one where she was the littles that they love to throw Mallory under the bus. Yeah. Melody was the first one. Yeah. She invented this move. But they all talk. They talk amongst themselves and say, oh my God, we're going to be best friends and we're going to go to Hawaii. We're just going to live a happy life together outside of this. Y'all are my sisters.
[00:53:13] And in a moment one walks out, they're like, that girl is as fake as press on nails. You know, like, it's so funny that that's how they interact. And then they go and they tell each other's business so quickly to save themselves. You know, they are always jumping ship. Barrett, he just let Drew bury himself and didn't say anything. He's like, oh, yeah, just got to make it through the renom. Yeah. That's it. There are no good friends in this entire house. None. None. These are not your friends. They need that shirt. They need that shirt from Survivor. You know what I'm talking about?
[00:53:43] Which shirt? Oh, what's his name? The guy from Alec and Kara's season. The other guy. Yeah. Hot Cop Dan. Hot Cop Dan is his name. Yeah, his shirt. The name. From David versus Goliath. That's what it was. Okay. I know it from the B&B. All right. Deep cut. Yeah. Let's talk about the saga of Drew. And then let's go into talking about the live feeds.
[00:54:11] Because here we have in this episode, Drew being really bummed out that he's the pawn. And he's going up to people. And he's like, hey, would you use the veto on me this week? And he's getting some resistance. He goes to Chuck. It's Chuck time. No, Chuck also would not use the veto on him. Nobody would use the veto on him. He's like, wow, that's weird. Yeah, it's so weird.
[00:54:42] No, this is so bad. This is so bad. It's so bad. First of all, first of all, I would say bring Morgan back. She long gone. But if someone tells you they want to make you a pawn, I think we need to lower this down to the lowest base level of strategy. OK, because if you're talking about a pawn, you're talking about a chess piece that you use to forward your game. But you're not afraid to lose them. That is the point of the pawn. They are set out as bait, you know. And if you lose them, oh, well, I had another pawn.
[00:55:10] So when somebody tells you you're going to be the pawn, they're saying, I'm OK with you going home if push comes to shove. When someone says pawn, you should say no. Every time they say pawn, you say no. Pawn, no. Pawn, no. That's how this thing goes. The fact that you're walking around like, I think I'm 90% sure that I'm not the target. But there's 10%. 10% is wrong. Pawn means you are possibly going home. It doesn't matter if it's 90, if it's 10, it's a 5. You could go home.
[00:55:38] You should not be on the block if your ally is the HOH. Yeah. And literally, like, the phrase pawns go home has been around since, like, season two. Episode, like, three. It was the first week. This isn't new information. And, like, the concept of a pawn being either the person to sit next to my target or the person I'm putting up pre-veto to then take down and backdoor a target. Especially if it's that.
[00:56:05] You're not going to have the HOH being like, yeah, and if I win veto, I'm just not going to change the noms. Like, then I'm not a pawn, am I? Right. You're a target. You're target number three. And then the blockbuster makes it even more complicated because if the person that the first target comes down with the veto and the second target comes down with the blockbuster, well, look at that. You're just there. That's a really good point. Can you even have pawns in the blockbuster phase in the game when there's three nominees on the block? Does a pawn even make sense?
[00:56:35] No, pawn does not make sense as a term. You can say, like, you're not my main target. It's about the best thing you can tell someone. It's like, I'm gunning for someone else, but I put you on the block. Therefore, I'm okay if you potentially go home. That's the only thing. And especially, like, for me, don't be thrown around the terms like pawn when you're in an eight-person alliance and there's still, like, 14 people left in the house. Like, there are so many other people who could go up besides me. Yeah. So. I would have needed you to grab the M&M and explain it to you. He should have never bought this to begin with. Yeah.
[00:57:06] No, this is bad. Yeah. Because the word pawn doesn't even make sense in the idea of what it's supposed to be, where it's supposed to be. The idea is that you're the person that's so beloved, you'll never go home. The house will keep you around no matter what. Like, that's not even what a pawn is. Yes. That's the first boot of the Big Brother game that we know and love. The first boot was a pawn that was so beloved. Cheryl. That they wouldn't go home, and we have not heard from Cheryl since.
[00:57:35] And so, like, what are you doing? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. And I think, I mean, you know, Drew was put in a tough situation because, honestly, you get put in this, you get put up by someone who's supposed to be in your alliance. I feel like at that point, you go full scorched earth, out the entire alliance. You say, look, this person had me in an alliance, and they put me up, and they're trying to insist that I'm a pawn when there are so many other people out.
[00:58:00] Problem is, at this point, two of the other people are already up on the block. You don't have a whole lot of numbers to be working with here by flipping sides. So, at this point, you're kind of stuck where you are, and you can't do anything until power shifts anyway. Yeah, we saw Rick Devins talk about Drew also, where Drew said that he was upset about being on the block. He wanted to go after the red corner. Rick Devins says, Drew is a liability. He's like, what do you mean you want to go after the red corner? That's my alliance.
[00:58:31] Yeah, this is, I did roll my eyes heavily at this Devins diary room, because, what are you talking about? You put this man on the block, and you were supposed to be in alliance with him, too. Like, what do we, I, you know what, for me, anyone who is on the bottom or on the block, I don't think you get to be like, it's so bad of them for trying to get off or to go against the people who put them up. No, that's called good gameplay.
[00:59:00] That's called, oh, I see where I am. Yeah, Devins, it didn't work out for you. Maybe you shouldn't have turned the half of your alliance against the other half. What are we doing? Yep. All right. So, I'd love to then pivot to post-veto ceremony, talk about the live feeds, get into the vote. Was there anything else from this episode that you want to mention? Um, no, I don't think so.
[00:59:29] I think that everything, oh, we got a confessional from Lala. Yes. Wrap it up. Yes. That's it. Yeah, what did Lala say? I believe she's, Haley's out there taking out next and she doesn't want to be, uh, like, she's like, she's like Henry VIII or something like that. Lala, please do something. Do something. Lala, please. No, we've, we've heard two things from Lala. Thing number one, oh no, I'm on the block. I got to get myself off because you know I got to stay. Thing number two, I'm not on the block. Great.
[00:59:59] Sit back and let everybody else do stuff. That's it. Those are Lala's two modes. Okay. All right. Uh, we're going to go and bring in the live feeds. Uh, let me then also, before we do that, let me just take a quick moment to tell you about RahapCon coming up. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 26th to the 28th. Tickets are available at RahapCon.com, including individual live show tickets if you just want to come out for the Big Brother on Wednesday night or Thursday night.
[01:00:28] But if you want to be there for all three days, we are going to have live podcasts and live reality games taking place and so much more at RahapCon.com. So check that out. Also, by the way, I had a very fun podcast. I visited everybody with the Heavy Crown Network with Big D and Tiffany and Chata and Claire. We did a collaboration last night and it was very, very fun.
[01:00:52] I would say that we talked a little bit about Big Brother, but it was mostly just a lot of just nonsense, which was very, very fun. So check that out on Rahap and on the Heavy Crown Network. Let's go ahead and talk about what's coming up on the spoilers. The Office of Civil Defense has issued the following message. This is a spoiler warning. A spoiler.
[01:01:21] Warning means that an actual spoiler. It's Chuck time. And that protective action should be taken. It's Chuck time. Yes. Okay. All right. We have got some stuff to talk about here after it was a very busy Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday where things are shifting. And Drew never figured out what was going on. And ultimately, it turned out that ignorance is bliss. Okay.
[01:01:50] Mary, what happened to change the course of events for Drew? You know, here's what happened. D and Devin, they're sitting around and D's going, all right, I know we spent a long time getting the red corner against Drew. I mean, a lot of that was led by Angela, but still. And she's like, wouldn't it be funny if we kept Drew instead, though? Because isn't Drew? Drew's going after the red corner now. Not us. The red corner is going to go after him. Not us.
[01:02:21] Everyone's going after Drew. Not us. So maybe we should keep Drew, which, to be fair, is what I've been saying, you know, many times on the live feed updates. If someone is very easy to take out, you might want to keep them because other people will take them out for you. So D starts really trying to plant this first with Devin's, a little later with Angela, and then they all go and talk to Haley and Chuck and Kamu.
[01:02:45] And they find a way by the end of the conversation where Haley and Chuck and Kamu almost think it was their idea to keep Drew. Yeah. So Drew is definitely not completely dead in the water at this point. I will not say that he's super safe. I will just say that he's no longer the number one 100% consensus house target at this point. Right. And then leading into today, this has continued.
[01:03:11] Some pretty funny conversations where just like everyone's kind of like, you know, Yash will talk to Dee and be like, hey, so like still Drew, right? And he's like, I don't know. Maybe you should go talk to Haley and Chuck and Kamu. I'm not sure. I'm not 100% sure. So there's kind of a lot of that going on. But I would say at this point where we're at Wednesday evening, Drew, by far, Melody is in the worst spot, I would say.
[01:03:41] The most likely to go home if she does not directly win the blockbuster. It's a little bit of a toss up between Drew and Melody if it comes, if Lyric wins the blockbuster. And then I think the Drew Lyric is a little confusing because Chuck and Kamu definitely still really running with wanting to keep Lyric. And also Yash is feeling that way because, you know, these boys. They're final two. They just really want to keep Lyric. Yash and Lyric have a final two. Oh, yeah.
[01:04:11] Yeah. Do they have a name for their final two? Thanks. Is that anything? False. It's not real. This is not real. These moments are not real. They're not. They're not. They can't wait to throw each other under the bus. Is it real to Yash at all? I think it's real to Yash. I do think there is a name for that final two. We'll see if the chat has it. Yeah. Yeah. It's really tricky to see 100% where we're at right now because at this point, Dee is like all in on keeping Drew.
[01:04:38] And she's starting to really get frustrated with Haley and Kamu and Chuck for not 100% being in on that. And she's starting to get a little suspicious of Angela because it's just sometimes Angela will come back down and be like, yeah, I don't know. I heard some conversations and I'm so tired. I don't exactly know what was happening. It's like lock in, Angela. What are we doing? So I'm not 100% sure on what Angela is doing because, I mean, this was originally Angela's plan to get Drew out.
[01:05:05] People are always like feigning like that if they don't know what's going on, it's like, wait, where am I? What is this? When did we start playing Big Brother? Yeah. Oh, I'm just like, I'm old. I don't know anymore. Tell me what you want to do. Tell me your plans. Yeah, this is bad. It's just bad in general. So obviously they should have never been going for Drew if they were just going to do this.
[01:05:31] He should not have been up on the block because he has a reason to now put you on the block and you could be his pawn. Or if he's smart, he'll just go ahead and take a shot at you because you started it and now he can. You've given him reason to turn on this alliance. And before you could have just been like, no, we all are sticking together until you're ready to take the shot. Now you kind of like took a soft shot and now you're trying to reel it back in like it didn't already happen. Luckily for us or for them, Drew seemingly does not really care that much.
[01:05:58] He's kind of like, oh, yeah, I might put them on the block and see how they like it. But like, no, you should be saying I'm going to target them. I'm putting all three of them up and I want one of them out next week. But the problem with D kind of reeling this back in is that everybody in the house knows that Drew was 24 hours away from going home unanimously. He was everybody was ready. I mean, they're sharpening their knives. They were ready to take Drew out.
[01:06:23] So now to go back on it, it'd be crazy if I don't know, Drew won HOH. And then everybody said, you know who really wanted you out? D and Angela and Devin's. And they've been lying to you all week and even Barrett. No, you know, that's what you don't want happening. But unfortunately, I guess they didn't think that far ahead.
[01:06:41] What are the odds that next week if Drew stays, D and Devin start going, man, you know, the only flaw in this plan is that Barrett knows that Drew was was the target for a while. So really, we really need to get Barrett out now because he knows too much. He's talking to Mallory so much. They're going to say, Drew, put Barrett up as a pawn. That's going to make total sense. And judging by the way Drew has been playing, I'm not sure. I wouldn't be shocked if he actually did it.
[01:07:10] But this is this is not great. But it's it's interesting TV. Now, Mary, I've been tracking the fandom and what they want. And everybody's been saying, I want the tool shed to dissolve. But Drew is on the block. The tool shed is on the block. Mary, why aren't people rooting for Drew to go home? Because he because he doesn't really even want to be in the tool shed, despite the fact that he named it. Yeah, it's his alliance. You can keep the name this whole shed if he's gone.
[01:07:40] I would want it back. I mean, I feel like it's ridiculous to keep the name of an alliance where you actively got one person out and then like ostracized the other. Because Barrett's I mean, ostracized is too strong of a word. You've just like ghosted. They've hosted Barrett. That's what they've done to the point where Angela even tells Barrett at some point. They started a new group chat without Barrett. Yeah. Yeah. And then Angela's even like talked to Barrett today. She's like, you know, they're always in groups and you never go up there and talk to them. As if it's like Barrett's fault for not being included in conversations.
[01:08:10] And Angela's like, your voice matters, Barrett. You need to go up there. My voice doesn't matter enough for them to invite me up here. I do like the idea that if he gets voted out, they do keep the name. I think back to I know we already referenced Tyler once. But, you know, when level six votes out, is that Rachel? They're like level five. What level six? Who is that? Rachel who? But yeah, Drew should be going out of the door. And then Angela and her goodbye message should say something about keeping the tool shed name. And then Drew will say, what's wrong with Angela?
[01:08:40] As we all say goodbye to this player who's been walking around with a dunce cap on the entire week. Like, Mary, to me, I think the fandom is a sucker. And I guess, Mary, and I know you are a victim of this too. You're a sucker for a showmance. Yes. I was wondering where we're going with this. Drew and Melody. Yeah. Where was I going with that? The Drew and Melody. I think it's too tempting. I think the fans want it too bad, Mary. Yeah. I mean, and that's what's tricky with them both being up on the block and everything. It's will they, won't they?
[01:09:09] We love it. Come on. Vote them out. Vote them out. You always vote out. This is why showmances have been so polarizing over the years. Because you always vote out the showmance. Because if they start winning and trading HOHs, what are you going to do to stop them? This is the perfect time to take out Drew or Melody. The question is, will they do it? Yeah. This is why I love the showmances that actively are working against each other within the house, but still have that love.
[01:09:38] The Romeo and Juliet showmances. Those are fun. Because right now, Kamu is looking at, he's like, hey, we got to start looking at Barrett and Mallory. Because, you know, they're the new Drew and Melody. I'm like, in what way? So it's just like, we're just talking about just any two pairs, just any two people. Men and women camping in an alliance together. Lyric and Yash, you know? They talk. They talked one time in the storage room. You know? A power couple. Yeah. Power couple. Yeah. All right.
[01:10:08] So to go through it one last time, if we have a Drew wins the blockbuster, Melody is going home. Oh, really? Yes. If Lyric wins the blockbuster at this hour, Melody is going home. If Melody wins the blockbuster, Drew is going home, probably.
[01:10:38] I think Dee and Devins are still going to fight. Their plan at this point is to tell Yash right before the vote tomorrow that they're actually keeping Drew. However, I'm not sure if that's in the Drew versus Lyric scenario or just the Drew versus Melody scenario. But because, yeah, they even said at the end of the night, they're like, maybe we should go tell Hayley again that Kamu is flirting with Lyric.
[01:11:06] Maybe we should do that. Yeah. Yeah. Rob, Asia called this a survivor move waiting right before a tribal council to go and tell Yash something at the last second. Yeah, look, that's how Dee and Devins are playing this. I appreciate the survivor players from the chaos they can just bring just by waiting around all week. You know, we saw Sari do that the entire first half of her season, and now they're doing it all again.
[01:11:32] You know, it seems like we have one plan, but by the time Wednesday rolls around, white rice Wednesday happens and, you know, they get to waffling. Yeah. I mean, it's really fun for Dee and Devins. They're really like playing this season from that position. And we talked to Rizzo on Monday, but from that like Sari, Ozzy, Rizzo position where they're actually in the middle of everything, but that's not how people are actually looking at them. And they could really go in any direction that they want.
[01:12:00] I wonder, and I don't think that they are, either of them are going to throw the HOH competition, but it kind of feels like a bad time for either of them to win the HOH. Yeah. Yeah. They're in line with basically everybody. Yeah, they're in line with basically everybody. I'm not saying, you know, we've talked about how throwing a competition can be bad for you. But it does look like all the guns are pointed at the red corner.
[01:12:26] I think the one person they really have to be worried about is Mallory, because she won't put up the entire red corner. At least she said that in the episode tonight. There is that last spot. She said Lala. Yeah. Because what is Lala doing? But, you know, she did have it out for D for like the first two weeks or so. I think she's over it. We'll see. We'll see. Rob and Chappelle, if it was up to you, who do you want to, for best fun feeds, who do you want to go home this week?
[01:12:56] Okay. I have been Team Lyric all through the season. I think that she is a very dangerous player. I think she's very capable. But I kind of feel like her story's over. If she left the show, I think that that would be the least. She could just pluck her out. Send her off to go be with Rome. She's kind of out of runway.
[01:13:19] I also think that if she got an HOH, I'm not convinced she wouldn't go after her friends with her own HOH. That's my big fear. She's just going to side with Kamu or Chuck if they have power. Yeah. She's like, what am I going to do? Get one of them out of the house? Or what if I could really show my loyalty and be safe for six weeks? So I think that I would pick for Lyric to go. Even though she's on my draft team and I've been very high on her skills, I would root for Lyric to go home.
[01:13:49] I think Lyric made the mistake of getting in a very public showmance. Because I think Lyric's game as it is, which is, you know, kind of cozy up to everybody, tell them what they want to hear, maybe flirt a little bit. It works if you and Rome didn't just have a big ass long kiss in front of everybody and announce your love to everyone. You know, like maybe Chuck or Kamu could fall for it. But eventually, once they start to compare notes, and they will compare notes, everyone just found out about Lyric's tactics. You know, she has thrown everybody under the bus.
[01:14:18] She has flirted with multiple people. She has done all these things. So it's like, if she stays, what game does she have unless she immediately wins HOH and does something big? I don't trust her to do that. I think that Drew and Melody in the house together could be interesting because Melody will take the shot. She hates Haley enough to, she will take the shot, even if Drew doesn't want to. And then we'll have to see him kind of have to navigate what that looks like. Showmance is a big target. That'll get some attention going. That'll get some fighting going. So I think it's got to be Lyric.
[01:14:45] As much as I was appreciating her as a player, I guess this week, just seeing her do those self-interested things, I think it's time to go. Respect for Lyric. Send her to Love Island. She's a superstar. But I think that you need, Melody is kind of like the glue, I think, with keeping the other side together, where she's friends with Mallory. Without Melody, Drew is locked in with Devin's and Barrett.
[01:15:14] And I think that for there to be another side of the house, I think you need Melody over there. I agree. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay. We'll see. Anything else going into Thursday? No. We got some action this week, right? Yeah. It's like we were sort of like, oh, this is a long week for us. But it turned out to have something, some juice.
[01:15:41] Look, good gameplay or bad gameplay, the thing we liked about Big Brother 27, which we saw a little about in the last couple days, was just people, mostly people in power just kind of changing their own decisions and running around and doing stuff. The worst thing you can have in Big Brother is when the people in power all just collectively go, okay, let's just sit back and relax for the rest of the week. That's it. And then nothing happens. We like it when people make bad decisions sometimes because then at least things are happening. Okay. And we like mess. I like mess. I'm like Angela.
[01:16:11] I want to see, hey, Haley, you mad because you think Kamu likes lyric. Don't you expound on that? You know, share more things. That's what I want to see. I want to see the people start fighting. You're a messy boy. Messy boy. Messy boy. Messy boy. Messy boy. Okay. All right. Well, it's shaping up to be a busy Thursday once again here on RHAP and lots of stuff coming up on Thursday.
[01:16:39] We'll kick it off with the live feed update and then ultimately a eviction episode on Thursday night. So much going on over on our Patreon. Also, of course, when you become a patron of Rob is a podcast, not only do you get access to all sorts of great commercial free content. It's a great way to support the podcast. It's a great way to support the podcast and also be a part of the RHAP community on Facebook and Discord as well.
[01:17:08] We've got also the slop. And boy, what a banger the slop was this week, Chappelle. Yeah. Yeah. Haley made a witch ass move. And so we had the Etsy witch on to talk about it. And I was not prepared to do that. As y'all know, I don't move like that.
[01:17:26] But because the BB Streets wanted it, we got to interview the Etsy witch and ask her why or when, I guess I should say, when are we going to get our refund from that from that week when Kamu was getting Jason out the game? So we talked about all that and more on the slop, but you only see that behind the paywall because it gets a little explicit. It gets a little too crazy. Yeah. Yeah. It's a little grown up. That's an adult podcast. Check that out. Okay.
[01:17:52] And then also on Wednesday, we posted our BB mailbag. So Taryn and I went through all of the win probabilities for all of the players left in the game. And I don't want to give you the exact numbers, but it's looking good for the vets is what our official determination is. Plus, we're answering your mailbag questions every week over on Patreon. On Friday, I'll be also taking your calls.
[01:18:19] I also like to hear your hot takes about the Big Brother season, 3 p.m. Eastern on Friday for that. I also have my Summer of Stein with Eric Stein coming up on Thursday as well. We'll post that Thursday afternoon. So when the feeds are getting a little slow before the eviction, check out the Summer of Stein. Chappelle, you and David got together. Tell us why Jason lost. We did. We talked about why Jason lost.
[01:18:48] And then this week, we will be talking about how X lost this week. We don't know who that person is yet. We'll find out what everybody else does. And then David will take us through his rules about how to lose Big Brother, at least what these people did wrong that would cause them to lose Big Brother. And so that should be up on Saturday. Okay. And then over on our Survivor podcast feed, Mike Bloom and I have been talking with iconic survivors about their epic episodes of Survivor.
[01:19:16] And we talked with Sandra Diaz-Twine this past week about the Survivor Pearl Islands premiere fun podcast. Be sure to check that out. And, of course, you can catch up with what all of the Big Brother alumni are saying every single night, all throughout the day as well, over on ChatBCC. Go to BB28.chat to check out ChatBCC for free. All right. Mary, what's coming up for you?
[01:19:45] You can check out the podcasting I'm doing over on the Free Agents Pod, Millennial TV with Matt Liguori. And otherwise, Big Brother coverage. And the next time a lot of people see me will be at RapCon. So everyone, make sure you're going. It's going to be a great time there. Yes. I don't know. Let me know. Send me a message on Twitter. Who may be from inside the Big Brother house? Would you like to see there? Would you like to see the Etsy witch? Wow. Who should I contact? Could we vote in the BB time capsule? Yeah. Yeah.
[01:20:15] Vote. Vote. Let me know. Who might be interesting to show up? I don't know. It's possible. Mary, I'm disappointed we didn't get a pop in. We got a pop in from Morgan, but not from Frail Daddy to give us a joke. Yeah. Not today. That only happens when I'm at my parents' house. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Frail Daddy. You know, he'll show up again, I'm sure. Okay. All right. Chappelle, what's coming up for you? Podcasting on recapkickback.com. Yes.
[01:20:43] Or youtube.com slash at recapkickback with everybody's favorite Big Brother podcaster, Mari Forth. Mari and I are talking about this season of House of the Dragon. We've been covering every episode of it right after the episode. So those recaps have been up Monday morning, bright and early. And so if you're watching House of the Dragon and want to hear us talk about it, go check out recapkickback.com. Subscribe on YouTube. We're creeping up on 3,000 YouTube subscribers. And so go. Help me out. Click like on the video. Hit the subscribe button. It's free.
[01:21:12] And then it helps us, you know, and find other people to watch our podcasting. Chantel and I go live every week to talk about the Flavor of Love cinematic universe. Somehow, Chantel had never seen Flavor of Love or any of its, you know, reboots and sequels. And so we have talked about Flavor of Love live as well as Flavor of Love 2. I Love New York, Charm School. And now we're on Rock of Love. We do that every Sunday live on YouTube. And then I think me and Bryce Isaiah got a thing coming too. So check out the Purple Pants podcast.
[01:21:42] You know, it's in the works. It's in the works. Just, you know, just be aware of it. And then, yeah. And then just catch me and Gia. We got something else in the works too. Something Big Brother related. But I got to keep it on the hush. Just subscribe to the podcast and you'll get all of that and more. All right. And thanks to Morgan Pope coming by on a big night where she hosted the veto competition. Very, very fun to have her talk about all of this with us. And keep it here. Big Thursday coming up.
[01:22:11] We'll be back for the eviction show coming up on Thursday night. Take care, everybody. Have a good one. Bye.
