BB28 Wednesday Veto Ep Recap, Week 2
Also available on YouTube.
Big Brother 28 is full of fireworks as the fallout from a wild nomination ceremony spills into every corner of the house. Rob Cesternino leads this episode recap with Kirsten MacInnis and Jason Reed, breaking down Angelaβs strategic moves and the chaos surrounding the latest nominations, Veto, and shifting alliances.
The episode dives into the volatile aftermath of Angelaβs HoH reign, centering on her confrontation with Jason and a heated exchange between Haley and Rome. The panel discusses Angelaβs new egg costume punishment, the faux breakup between Lyric and Rome, and the complexities of the Veto competition where Devens comes out on top. Social strategies take center stage as Lyric uses her social game and βbaby voiceβ to sway the house, while Melody pushes hard to stay off the block but faces resistance from Dee, Angela, and Devens. The looming Americaβs Vote and potential twists for Rome and Lyric keep everyone guessing about who is truly at risk.
- Kirsten calls out Rome for his βsnarkyβ behavior and questions why Lyric is criticized for her voice when itβs working strategically.
- Jason Reed highlights the βfaux apologiesβ between Angela and houseguest Jason, as well as the comedic gold of Angelaβs egg costume moments.
- The panel dissects Melodyβs efforts to save herself and how Drewβs campaigning for her may have backfired due to Dee and Angelaβs distrust.
- Jason and Kirsten debate if Romeβs showmance with Lyric is helping or hurting his and her individual games, especially with the looming possibility of Romeβs eviction.
- The panel questions if Devensβ Veto win marks the start of a big power shift, and what will happen if Rome returns from the BB Blockbuster twist.
With alliances uncertain and social games in flux, the path forward is murky, Will Lyric thrive if Rome goes home, and did Devensβ latest move set him up as the next big target? Tune in to hear every angle as the podcast team breaks it all down.

[00:00:08] Coming to you live from my apartment, it's Rob Has a Podcast. And now here's the guy who is the original slouchy Adam Sandler wannabe ass, Rob Cesternino. We're back, baby. And we've got the most exciting nomination speech in the history of Big Brother and so much more to talk about here on Wednesday night.
[00:00:30] And so I'm so excited to welcome in the panel here, fresh off of a marathon run covering all of Love Island season eight. It's Kirsten McKinnis. Kirsten, how are you? Rob, I'm doing great. I'm so excited that we got three messy bitches on the podcast tonight. Let's go. Two messy boys. Yes. Yes.
[00:00:53] We're so excited and we'll break down Angela's egg costume and Lyric exploring the villa. And so so excited to have you here with us, Kirsten. And then they just kicked off a brand new season of Married at First Sight. Let's welcome in Jason Reed. Jason, how are you? Rob, I'm doing fantastic. Excuse me for one second. Kirsten, Kirsten, I'm so happy that we're here together and that you and I are recapping this episode.
[00:01:23] I love having you recap the bills with me. I just, we need to, we need to make sure that we're not looking like you're not in front with Rob. Okay. We good, Kirsten. Oh, yeah. We're good. It's going to be so hard. Danny loves you. Hey, Rob. Yes. Yes. Rob, I have an announcement. Announcement? Yes. What is it, Jason? Kirsten and I, Kirsten and I are no longer friends. Oh, okay. Please not, please not consider us allies on this podcast.
[00:01:53] If you need to kick one of us out. Okay. Let it be Kirsten. I believe you. I believe, I really want, I want to believe you. That's very believable. And so I'm buying it. So, yes, Jason and Asia, of course, they're covering Married at First Sight. And you can catch all of that over at WeKnowDatingShows.com. Jason, how are you doing? I'm doing great. I'm happy to be, you know, here on this debut for me for Big Brother 28.
[00:02:22] I'm happy to be here on this messy, messy bitch of an episode here to be, of course, I was happy to be here with Kirsten until we broke up. But I was always happy to be here with you, Rob, for sure.
[00:02:59] Yeah. I guess this will be the night that we remember that we got to see all of the big fight at the nominations and we should talk about it. And it really did deliver. There was there was there was so much there. I mean, we were maybe 15 minutes into this episode. We're still dealing with the ending of the nominations. And so. All right, Kirsten, let me hear your reactions to what we saw tonight.
[00:03:55] I will. Just so special. We got to see Angela versus Jason. We got to see Haley slash Thog really get in there and not as much as we would have liked. No, I really wish we'd seen the comment re-Rome's ball size. I think that was what was the only thing missing from the episode. Well, let's say.
[00:04:20] Yeah, because we did get we get we got everything that we hope to see up until that point, including there was some question of whether or not they were going to include when Rome ends up. So call it says don't be a snarky bitch. And we got that a couple of times, but we did not get the very well received retort that people really loved it.
[00:04:49] Then Haley said to Rome, what was the quote? You have small balls. Yeah, she said you have small balls. I've recently been informed that like ball maxing is a thing for Gen Z. And so maybe Rome could try that instead if he's dissatisfied with the size of what's going on down there. But actually that that moment just pissed me off so bad because I killed Rob. I'm so sorry.
[00:05:16] Yeah, I wasn't expecting the ball maxing. You never suspect. Yes. What a surprise. The problem is, is like, like Haley came out in the first episode. Like, yes, I'm a girl, but I'm a guy's girl. I don't like women. Many things she said throughout the whole season have indicated that she does not care about other women.
[00:05:41] And then now I have to defend her because Rome decides I'm going to call her a bit like absolutely not. Do not make me defend thog. I don't want to. Yes, but that's where we are now. And we saw all of the fallout here. Jason, what was your favorite moment in all of this?
[00:06:04] The favorite moment was kind of the die down of the Angela Jason fight where they just they start like transitioning into faux apologies. It's almost like watching a car fire die down and then a warehouse explodes right behind you. It's like, oh, shit, let's go. What's what's going on over here? Like there's more stuff popping over here. I felt like actually the Haley Rome stuff was a little more entertaining than the Angela Jason stuff because the Angela Jason stuff started hot and then kind of died down when Jason, I think, realized who he was going up against.
[00:06:33] It was like, I mean, I'm just trying to play the game. He was like, oh, I'm a messy bitch. I'm at least like actually. No. Yeah, I'm trying. I'm trying to play a game. Please don't hate me. And then Rome starts piping up. Haley starts piping up. It's like, oh, let's actually get away from here and watch what's going on down here. Yeah. I wonder if, you know, the Jason and Angela stuff and it was so good. And these are two reality TV vets at the top of their game.
[00:06:58] I mean, it doesn't feel performative at all that the two of them. OK, she knows what's good TV. He knows what's good TV. And it's like, all right, we're doing it. We're going here. Let's go. I think from the Jason side, yes. But I think Angela is authentically a little off. I think that's her. She's always a little off. We're like, that's the thing, too. Like, we have to remember the Angela that we already know.
[00:07:27] She's still the same person with just a little bit more awareness of how the show kind of works, you know? And she was mixing all kinds of stuff together. Because the conversation she had with Jason about him feeling a little uncomfortable about being around so many straight people happened well before any of the actual, like, hee hee, like looking at the camera.
[00:07:52] And so when she stands up and says, you're using your sexuality to manipulate me is so crazy. Because, no, he's using his dead mom to manipulate you. It's not the same thing. Like, it's so, like, what you're making this gay man feeling uncomfortable being around so many straight people about you now? Like, what are we doing here? I loved her trying to tell the lie.
[00:08:21] She goes, you know, he's telling me that he doesn't feel comfortable around people that aren't gay and that's totally legitimate. Like, I want to make sure everyone knows. Let the record show. Like, that's fine. I get it. Yes. But then he laughed at that camera after I laughed. Yeah. The problem for Angela is that she does have the receipts, that Drew gave her the receipts of what he said about all of these conversations. But she, and Drew's lucky, that she doesn't bring that up here.
[00:08:49] And it kind of, like, lacks a little bite in terms of that she claims that she saw him give a look. And that's how she knows. Now, listen. I, myself, have gotten in trouble many a times when my wife says, you had a look? And I was like, I didn't say anything. But the look. I saw the look. And that's, you're guilty because I saw the look. And I think she's trying to process.
[00:09:15] But I kind of thought that Jason kind of gave a lot away in terms of, like, all right, fine. You know, so what? I was doing that. No, but I love that. Because, like, he just owned it. He's like, okay, I'm caught. It doesn't matter how I'm caught. Let me own it. And I think that that actually did kind of make the apology between Jason and Angelus seem kind of real. Like, they're both having that moment of like, yeah, we are both messy bitches. And, like, that was fun. Yeah.
[00:09:46] I think that the apology is, like, was kind of well taken and well received. And listen, they're going to have probably three or four more of these type of fights before either one of them gets out of the house. So I think this is going to be a recurring theme for these two. Yeah. I mean, I think that in each other, they have a sparring partner that nobody else can go to that level with them. And I think they realize that. 100%.
[00:10:11] And, you know, it's a beautiful thing because at the end of the day, if Jason were to go home tomorrow, not the most likely, but not impossible, he's not going to be on social media talking about how Angela is such a bully and how Angela is the worst person alive. You know, like, Jason has more substantive content to create than to rely on that. Yeah. Listen, he's not going to go full Hardman, okay?
[00:10:42] You never want to go full Hardman. You never want to go full Hardman. Although I did see a Matt Hardman TikTok today that shook me to my core. Which one? Oh, he was talking about how to know if the girl you're talking to is really godly or not. Yes. And you do a Spotify blended playlist. Yeah. I watched it when I was getting a little bored. Yeah.
[00:11:07] And then so you'll know if they're really godly by the amount of gospel music that comes in from what they're listening to. Sure. So important stuff to know. Jason, the back and forth with Angela and Jason, really the egg costume did so much also that when the hat came off, it was cinema.
[00:11:29] Not since Dana Carvey in the movie Master of Disguise in 2002 has someone worked with this type of costuming to the max benefit. Kids, if you don't know it, look it up. It's a pure joy of cinema to watch Dana Carvey work. But not since him has someone worked this kind of egg costume in this movie. This is Teffy making a Jungle to Jungle reference all over again. Yeah. But I do feel like in that movie, was he like in a turtle shell?
[00:11:58] And I feel like that. It was popping up and in. Yeah. It was very reminiscent of what Angela's got going on right now. Am I not turtley enough for the turtle club? Am I not turtley enough for the turtle club? I wasn't ready for a quote from the movie. Wow. And guess what? I've never seen the film. But that quote is in my brain until the day I die. Yeah. What do you think about Angela saying that she got this egg costume?
[00:12:28] She got the power. This was America trying to protect me from you. First off, are we buying that? And second of all, is Angela believing this? I'm buying it because I think it's true. I think for the most part, people wanted to help Angela because she is the BB vet of the show. Yeah. And I think without Angela even knowing it, she really just stuck a dagger into Jason's ego
[00:12:57] because he was the one crying last episode because he didn't get the power or the punishment because no one loves me. He thought he was going to be himself as a reality icon. Why did he get it? Not realizing that this is Angela's show. Of course, she was going to be in the ring to get it. But I think Angela and I, knowing, did a lot more damage than she intended to with that. Angela was always winning the first one. She's the only big brother returnee on the season. There was no way she was ever losing that vote.
[00:13:26] And I mean, I can't speak for the masses, but I am so much more pleased with her getting this egg punishment than any power could have brought. I mean, let's be real. This was never a random game of chance what Angela's going to get. They were just like, who's going to have the egg costing this year? No matter what, Angela's getting the egg costing this year. I don't care what has to happen, what we have to fix. It's happening. You know, I kind of was thinking that Rick was going to get the vote.
[00:13:54] And I was wrong about that, clearly. But it makes sense that Angela gets it, that her fan base is all watching this season. Like, Angela haters are watching, but also every single person who is an Angela fan is definitely watching this. Because I have friends that are very close with Rick Devins. And I don't even think they're watching big brother.
[00:14:18] So I don't think it's a one-to-one where if you love Rick Devins, yeah, if you're a huge Rick Devins fan, you may or may not be watching big brother. So these fan bases are not necessarily portable. Yeah. They're too busy watching the highbrow television where Mr. Beast comes in so you can flip a coin. Very serious program. Unlike our unserious reality show. But if you're a fan of Rick Devins, you're definitely watching a survivor season that he's on.
[00:14:46] And you may or may not be watching him on a different show. Yeah. Because, okay. Yeah. Oh, you've got 90 minutes a week. That's all you've got. You can't put in the shift to watch three episodes. Grow up. That's your friend. Watch the live feeds. Get a live. Or actually, don't get a live and watch the show. Watch the show. I work a full-time job, have a social life, go to the gym, and I can still keep up with the show and the feeds. They don't even need to watch the feeds. Watch the show. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:15:14] Let's talk about Lala here, who was so upset about this. And I just feel like that there was a little cognitive dissonance from Lala here where she's so upset about this. But, like, had Rome gone to bat and said, hey, the person you cannot put on the block is Lala, she would have been on the block. She only ended up being safe by the grace of Rome. I thought I was tripping for a minute. I was like, wait a minute. Did I miss the part where Lala got nominated?
[00:15:43] She's crying if she wasn't nominated. Yeah. But she was given on a silver platter to the HOH. And Angela really made a meal of saying that she was put on a silver platter. I mean, but not really. It was like she was on the menu, but that wasn't quite, I wouldn't quite say silver platter.
[00:16:09] We're not going to take the waiter's suggestion of what to order at the restaurant, right? Because, you know, they have an ulterior motive. Yeah. We have a great special today. Lala is very, I really recommend that. It's like, no, you marked up the price. I'm going to go for the much, much lower priced melody. Okay. I'm going to go with that instead. Wait. Is that what happens? They mark up the price on things the server recommends, Jason? I mean, I'm assuming. Everything's a scam.
[00:16:39] That's how I live my life. How about you? Everything's a scam. See, to me, if I'm the server, I'm ringing it in with a discount so that, but like not telling them there's a discount so my tip can be higher. That's just how I live my life. I'm untrusting. Okay. I'm not going to do what you want me to do. Jason's not going to believe that Roman Lyric are broken up just because they tell him. Exactly. I know better. But you're speaking to me. It's not like I'm a trusting person. Yeah.
[00:17:05] I was so glad that we got the Lala crying and ultimately Rome coming to her. And then we had the shot of Yash, which I wish we would have gotten a Yash confessional talking about what an odd situation that was. But I was so happy that that made it into the episode. Yash is like, it's all good, man. We forgive you. Like, who was even talking to you? Like, this is between Rome and Lala.
[00:17:31] But Rome was like using Lala's hair to like wipe his tears. It's like, whoa. I'm sure Lala was like, hey, baby, you got to stop that because this hair was expensive. You can't be putting your tears into my hair. You know. Is the hair expensive? Well, you would know more about that. Was it on special? Yeah. Let me know. Okay. Never trusted. One of the things I think that it's worth keeping an eye on is there is an America's vote and it is coming up.
[00:17:59] And so I think that Taron had been talking about this all week about how, you know, keep an eye on the Rome edit of could Rome be edited in a sympathetic way to perhaps give him a better chance to be the winner of the BB time capsule. He did call Haley and say that she was being a snarky B word.
[00:18:26] But otherwise, we did get a lot of the showmance. Kirsten, what do you think? I will see. Here's the thing. It does seem that people are feeling some sympathy for him. I'm not understanding. In fairness, he has small balls. Yeah, but they didn't even show that part.
[00:18:52] I just feel like Rome's energy is so off-putting to me, even when they are trying to edit him in a sympathetic light. Like it is giving, you know, Big Brother 25 Cameron to me is the vibe I'm getting. Yeah. And so, and I found him sinister as well and didn't understand. And then he won America's Favorites. Like he absolutely could get it.
[00:19:20] I am due to who I podcast with. I'm contractually obligated to not root for anyone or anything named Rome. So I will definitely be hoping that he does not win any type of power. I hope if he does, he gets a punishment. Don't you want him to be the best reality TV Rome? Rome? I, I've, I've just been told he just like way from the, the, the, the country Rome, the, the people named Rome or else my podcast scene will end. So, uh, it's not going to mess with it.
[00:19:50] Yeah. But, but I, I think, I think the fact that they hit us over the head so hard with the schmoopy doopy showmans, I think that's going to turn some people off. And we still have D and Rick who are still CBS royalty. Yes. I do think it'll be Rick Devins, but we'll, we'll see. Oh yeah. Kirsten. What else? Sorry. I need to fact check. I got confused about the hair crying scene and I was talking about lyrics hair, not Lala's hair. I would never speak on a black woman's hair period. Sorry. That's not my business.
[00:20:21] Um, but also, yeah, Rome is apparently in second place for the votes right now. How do you know? That's what people are saying. They're saying it's Devins and then Rome. They're saying this. Where are they getting this info from? I don't know. This is what people are saying on blue sky. And I trust, I trust my, my mutuals over there. Yeah. Streets are talking, Rome. Streets are talking. Rome is in, is, is in second place. Oh my God. I didn't know they had that kind of polling. We've got to mobilize. We've got to vote for Devins.
[00:20:48] I would rather vote for Drew personally, but I don't think that he got enough content. Yeah. Well, it's a lot of factors are in this where Rome is going to have to go into the BB blockbuster, but, uh, the people could vote for him and then he may not be there to get the thing. I'm sure it'll go to the second highest voter if that's the thing.
[00:21:12] But Jason, was there quite enough to put him over the top to make him, uh, a, a, a, a fan favorite just off of this? I think what we had last week with him being at the door, not being lit in, I think gave him a lot of, a lot of credibility with the casuals probably. Um, so I, so I think there's a lot of up and downs that wasn't up calling Haley a snarky bitch, probably brought him down a little bit. That was the beginning of the episode.
[00:21:41] Yeah, the schmooby-dooby stuff shot him back up. So I think he's definitely up there for sure. I will say, I think that's something in his favor. And I don't think that he will get the BB time capsule, but I think that the way that the episode was edited, it really did make it seem like the fake breakup caper worked. Like it really did. And, and yes, she came off the block. And I think that people to varying degrees bought it, but I think that they did make it feel like it was like a master stroke.
[00:22:11] Hmm. They really did. It was, they really did. Is it a mark of the fandom that Rome is higher up and not Lyric? Like why isn't, why isn't Lyric in the running of this time capsule thing? It's actually crazy because Lyric did really, really good work this week. She has obviously snowed multiple people into a low key believing this breakup stuff a little bit. Even if they don't fully believe it,
[00:22:38] she's flirting with guys to get them to believe that they can pull her to their side. She, she has a mist. It is working. And meanwhile, what Rome is just a cry baby, like making himself the victim of a circumstance that is of his own creation. Like, uh, it's weird. And it's also weird too, the way people get so upset about Lyric and her little baby voice. Yes.
[00:23:06] She's putting on a baby voice and it's clearly a strategy that's working extremely well. So why are we policing it? Yeah, Kirsten, I saw you had a, uh, a skeet about this on the Skyline. So can you, I was not aware of this controversy. Can you talk about the Lyric, uh, uh, voice issues? Yes.
[00:23:28] So you may or may not have noticed that when Lyric is speaking in the diary room versus when she is speaking in the house, she does use a different tone of voice. She does a little bit more upspeak, makes herself sound a little bit more, um, maybe naive. Uh, and that irritates people for a lot of reasons.
[00:23:51] But I just think it's actually very strange for people to be policing a woman's voice in that way. When like, I'm sure there's men in there putting their, making their voice sound deeper at times. And yet that just doesn't become a full front page news story. Uh, and I mean, it's the same with like podcasts where women get different comments based on, Oh, they need to fix their voice.
[00:24:20] Oh, they need to do this. You never hear it about men's voices. And it's just weird. It's just weird. Good for her for being able to make use of that tool in her toolbox and missed so many people. I mean, it's like telling the guys, you're not allowed to use your muscles in any competitions anymore. Uh, you're, you have too much of an advantage. And like, again, like when melodies in the DR saying, Oh, you nominated two little girls. That's not what I'm talking about. That's weird. You're grown woman.
[00:24:48] But if you want to use a baby voice and it gets you a benefit in the game, why not? I wish I had that skill. Yeah. Let's, let's talk about the lyric in Rome breakup situation, because I think this is a, we're in a little bit of uncharted waters, right? I feel like that we've seen like, okay, let's have a fake fight. I don't remember ever a couple pretending to break up before.
[00:25:20] Yeah. Yeah. I don't, I don't recall myself in the BB history books. Yeah. And it was interesting. It was just a breakup. Like there was, um, no fight. There was no sort of like, we didn't, we just got sort of like, Hey, Oh, guess what? Everybody, we are broken up. And now we are on like that. We're exploring. Uh, lyric is exploring some other, some other new, and she went right to Chuck and Yash.
[00:25:45] And, and, um, uh, we, we saw this, uh, from, there were some, uh, still shots of this from the feeds that I saw on social media, but we got the, uh, lyric going out, going up to the guys. That's part of her game. She knows who to go to. That's that it's working. I think that's, that's great. And she's letting, she's letting things happen. Like she's letting Chuck mansplain to her muscles. Like, you know what I mean? Like, Oh, you know, think about muscles.
[00:26:13] You don't even see how far they extend and realize like, Oh, really? Great. Awesome. She's, she's, she knows she's doing, I give her props for knowing how to play the game in that way. Yeah. She didn't even like Chuck is like good girl after she does a rep of her lat lift or whatever. And I was like, and she didn't, I would have, I would have dropped the dumbbell on his toe. If that had happened to me, she's so strong and brave. Yeah.
[00:26:38] And Rome is trying to sell it to Kamu that the breakup, the breakup was real. They need to take some lessons from Angela. Like, how do I, how do I stage some fights? How do I, how do I do this? You need a big breakup scene to really sell it. Not just tell people when they enter the room, like, Oh, Hey, we just broke up or it was so bad. We had a breakup. Yeah. Show don't tell.
[00:27:02] He's crying more about the nomination ceremony than about breaking up with the girl he supposedly loves, but still will not call his girlfriend for, for the record. They're not boyfriend and girlfriend. Well, they are. We're throwing the L word one week in. Come on, bro. We're throwing the L word one week in. I was like, damn. I think they're love bombing each other, which is crazy. Listen, they're going to have a strong relationship outside of the house. Was this in the episode?
[00:27:31] Did they say that he could see them getting married? That happened in the episode? Yeah. I think that was in the, this episode. We can see ourselves getting married one day. I'm going to date you. And like, to be fair, like there have been showmances in the past where they get together really quick and they do end up together forever. Sure. Um, I, I have my doubts about this one lasting considering he can't stop joking about her being a housewife when she's like, that's literally never going to happen. And I told you it's not going to happen.
[00:27:59] In fairness, he doesn't know her true profession, which is a lawyer. Yeah. Yeah. But like, even if she's a singer and if she says she doesn't want to be a stay at home wife, like stop badgering her about it. Yeah.
[00:28:14] Um, I wanted to, uh, to get into, um, with Lyric and Rome that we saw them as have nots this week and we saw them that they have taken their canoodling from, they were in the bunk beds last week to the have not room, I guess. And they are also with Jason and Barrett are the other have nots, correct?
[00:28:42] If, if there was no other reason to self evict, it would be having to be on that crickety wooden board. Looks like, you know, they can hear them. They're not, they're not that quiet. Like, please try to sleep. It's the way that, like, do they think because the wheel creaks that nobody can hear their little slurpy slurp sounds? Everybody knows what's happening. Um, we listen. Yes.
[00:29:11] I talked about love Island all season long. Yes. I had my magnifying glass out investigating what was happening in those bedroom scenes, but like at least in love Island, everyone's kind of on the same page that that could happen. Yes. People could be getting up close and personal bumping and grinding, enjoying some French fries in the bed. Nobody signed up for that on big brother. Nobody signed up for this. Go to another room.
[00:29:32] It is a great have not punishment for the people who are have nots that, that could, that, that is if you really want to torture the have nots, this is a good torture. But then it's a reward for Lyric and Rome. A reward for Lyric and Rome. Yes. I think there should be, if you're a have not, you should have to wear a chastity belt. What do you think? I literally said that on blue sky today, Rob. Oh, good. I'm sorry. I was not stealing, I was not stealing your jokes. Like Rick Evans was accused of stealing Jason's jokes. I didn't think you were.
[00:30:02] Yes. Um, I will say to the chat, I, I, I do. I hear you that Lyric did tell Rome she is a secret lawyer. He's like, probably like, oh, that's so cute. You think you're a lawyer? I, yeah, they have like this whole like daddy daughter, like baby girl kink going on and like, whatever. They're two consenting adults.
[00:30:30] I'm not going to kink shame, but I will kink ask why. Yeah. How do we think Lyric will maneuver if Rome ends up going home? Because I do think it is a fascinating scenario to contemplate. I think she has options. I mean, obviously she's, she's already trying to get in good with, uh, with the other guys in the house. Um, I think that would work for her.
[00:30:57] I, I do think, and you know, historically the, you know, the remaining showman. And so that's left over typically does have places to go after their partner gets, gets evicted because they're, they're looked at as a free agent. They're looked at as a piece to pick up. So I think she could actually do pretty well and seeing kind of her game savvy come into play here. I think we'll actually, uh, benefit her after if I think the best thing for her would be if Rome got a big deal tomorrow night. Yeah. Yeah. 100%. I don't think she will get into another showman.
[00:31:27] But I think she will definitely be continuing to flirt with the men that she's been flirting with, uh, as she tries to distance herself publicly from Rome. And I think that there's a very good chance that that would be quite successful for her. And I feel like oftentimes in a showmance, they evict the woman first and then it doesn't, it seems like these men in showmances who get evicted don't have as much maneuverability as when the man gets evicted first and the woman gets evicted.
[00:31:57] So I'm very excited to see her actually get to play for real without him. Yeah. I think she's in a really interesting spot because I think a lot of times when you target a showmance, then they're sort of like locked in and they're sort of both with, you know, spitting tacks at like, how you think you could break us up? Are coming after you? We're going to get our vengeance. And she has not done that. And I think that if Rome goes home, I think she's in this game for the long haul.
[00:32:25] I really think that she's somebody who she could work with. The vets or the icons, nobody is gunning for her if Rome goes home. I mean, there's no concrete, there's no better concrete way to say this person does not have anyone than to see their showmance get voted out because that's their person. So you know they're LGBT picked up. So, and it's kind of a race to see who gets them. And at that point, I think she could be locked in with either a group or with a couple other people at that point. Yeah.
[00:32:54] Even if Rome goes home, I think that Rome goes home potentially without any sort of real animosity towards him. I think that he'll end up leaving the house sort of like, okay, you got me, good game. But he's not going to be cursing everybody out on the way out the door where people are going to want to punish Lyric. I mean, even if he does curse people out going out the door, I don't think that she would get punished for it is the thing.
[00:33:18] Like, I really think that though they obviously are still in a showmance and are macking on each other at every opportunity. I don't, I think people would be way more likely to blame him for her having bad behavior than to blame her for him having bad behavior. Yeah. I mean, I think he gets blamed for a lot. I don't think he had quite as much agency in the house in terms of putting stuff together where they talk about Rome's side. Rome was doing this. Rome is the mastermind.
[00:33:48] And I don't really think any of those things were true. Well, he thought he was the president. He thought he was the president and he was doing a pretty decent job in the first week. But I think that they really just looked at him like he had this master plan that he had going on. And he had some good relationships, but he really didn't have that numbers to go to war with. Yeah.
[00:34:12] Unfortunately, anyone who is actually playing well is kind of already in the majority structure. So then when they have the power two weeks in a row, like, who are they really going to go after? Yeah. Let's talk about Melody, who got a lot of airtime in this episode. And we're really getting Melody's POV that she's pretty tired of what's going on in this house. Jason, what did you think of the Melody edit tonight? I don't know.
[00:34:42] Melody edit was interesting because it's, you know, I think for the second week in a row, she's willing to throw people under the bus to try and try and save her. Last week it was Mallory. This week it's Lyric. So she's like, I'm down to screw over anyone I need to get myself in a better position, which, hey, I'm all for. But I think she has this new vendetta against Rick where she goes to Rick like, hey, why don't you take me off the block? I think that'd be great. And he's like, OK, yeah, but no. And she's like, OK, but I see you're still thinking about it. And then Rick doesn't do it. She's like, all right, that's it.
[00:35:12] She's like rolls up her sleeves. Devons, I'm coming for you. You've pissed off the wrong one now. It's like you've won zero competitions. He's won two so far. Just remember that place. Well, but they did also really undercut Melody's campaigning because it was actually like it was much more likely that she would be saved at a certain point where she was working really hard. Drew was working really hard. Was it Thog was the third one?
[00:35:39] I can't remember who the third person was that was really pushing for it. But like she did do good work that should have been successful if Rick was not for whatever reason deciding to believe Lyric when there is actually no information, like no reason to believe her. Like when Lyric is campaigning and she's like, if I'm H-O-H, I'll never nominate you. Like I'm with you. Like I could consider working with you.
[00:36:04] It's like to me, I find that so much less believable than, you know, Melody is kind of more realistic. Here's why it makes sense for you to take me off the block. Like Melody is doing kind of classic Big Brother looking at Rick's incentives. And then Lyric is just throwing it at the wall. And for some reason it sticks. And so I do think the edit kind of underserved Melody a little bit. Well, I mean, she kind of campaigned herself into staying on the block because like at that point, do you realize like, oh, she might actually know what she's talking about.
[00:36:33] So I think if anyone's going to stay on the block and have a risk of going home, it should be someone that actually knows what they're doing instead of Lyric, who's doing these like garden variety. Oh, if you keep me, I'll keep you safe next week or, you know, whatever. So I think she kind of campaigned herself to stay on the block. Yeah. The episode, I think, really painted it as, you know, Rick's logic was that I trust Lyric. I think that she is more likely to stay true to what she's saying where Melody, I really, I just don't trust her.
[00:37:02] She seems like she's shady. We talked about this from the Sunday Night episode where there was a moment in the HOH competition where Melody and Rick weren't on the same page. But I think that the part of the story that they really under edited or flat out didn't include is the distrust of Drew. Rick talked about it a little bit when Drew was pushing for Melody to come down.
[00:37:26] And Rick told us, he's like, the way that Drew is pushing for Melody, it's making me feel like that maybe I should keep Melody on the block. But we really did not get the D and Angela side of this where they really had a lot of distrust of Drew that they've talked about. Yeah, 100 percent.
[00:37:46] And at a certain point, I'm like, Drew is literally coming to them, telling them everything, has actually given them no reason not to trust him at this point in time. To the point where like, OK, well, it's got it. There's something in Drew's delivery that's just not working for it to be so easily spread that he is not trustworthy or that people are getting a bad vibe off of him. Yeah. How's your vibe on Drew, Kirsten?
[00:38:15] I actually really like Drew. I think that he has a lot of really great instincts in the game. He has watched over 100 hours of R.H.A.P., which is like what the two weeks of Big Brother coverage. So that's great. And I think he's in a really great spot. I think his dynamic with Melody is really interesting. And I like watching him.
[00:38:35] And I really wish that Angela could see a little bit more clearly because she is really pushing the agenda against Drew. And like we know how Angela operates in this house and it's not always based on facts. And I think just because she's a returnee and the only one who's played Big Brother in the house before that she's being trusted like a little bit more than she maybe otherwise would be or should be.
[00:39:03] Yeah. Jason, I have found over these episodes also that they give a lot of diary rooms to Drew where he is talking about like he's kind of like the voice of reason in the diary room. Yeah, I think the way he kind of speaks confidently is if he knows what he's talking about. I think also he's kind of like, how do I put it, the desirable demographic of the BB Watchers of like the nice looking young clean cut kid is like, oh, I want to do this, this, that.
[00:39:33] I think so. I think that's why he's kind of being featured because he's not only this nice kind of young kid. He kind of also knows he's talking about. Yeah. It can translate that. Yeah. And I think that Drew and Mallory, I think are both being presented in an interesting way where they're sort of like the they're at the kids table, but they do have a good sense of what's going on in the game. And they're asking the right questions. So I could see them really being painted as fan favorites.
[00:40:03] Yeah, it could happen for sure. Yeah. How about Angela Egg? We got to see a lot of the Angela in the egg costume and the torture that she's going through. Do you have any favorite Angela moments from being in the egg?
[00:40:22] I kind of love the montage of her being just kind of exasperated, exasperated in the egg costume, kind of her in like just kind of taking shelter inside of the egg costume and just this exasperated look on her face. Like that's just secondhand misery is one of my favorite things out there. So I just kind of it just kind of did everything for me.
[00:40:42] Yeah, there was a really great shot of like basically Angela, like looking through like the porthole outside the top of the egg where she's laying down and Barrett is like contorting himself to be able to look in and talk to her while she's dealing with that. Trapped in her misery. And like I love the egg. I think they should make somebody be the egg every year, maybe the first week every year someone has to be the egg. Like it's so funny.
[00:41:10] Angela is in absolute misery in the funniest way. She's falling over in the diary room. She's trying to hide inside of it. But what I don't think we've talked enough about is that the egg white pajamas, because I if you if you had to guess what those pajamas were supposed to be, I wouldn't have guessed. What would you guess? You know, that's more for like like an eighth grade health class to be sorting out, I think. Yeah.
[00:41:37] So so not the egg then is what you're saying. Yeah. The opposite. What goes in the egg. Exactly. Have her wear that and have someone else wear the egg costume. They have to sleep in the same room every night. I don't know. They have to cuddle up like Roman Lyric. Maybe explain things to Roman Lyric. Like, hey, just we want to like just make sure you're aware of everything. That's all works.
[00:42:03] Yeah, that's there's something with the small balls joke there, but I can't quite find it. Did Vince have to wear a special like egg white pajama? I don't recall this. He had egg pajamas. I do remember, but it didn't look like that. It wasn't these ones. Yeah. It was different. Okay. But I really feel like it wasn't these ones.
[00:42:31] If I'm wrong, please correct me, Chad. But I remember him having pajamas, but I don't remember them looking like a sperm. And I would because I was on one of the podcasts that week last year. Mm hmm. Oh, exactly the same. But he's just a beanpole. Okay. It's about the fit of the pajamas. Okay. Let's talk about the veto competition where we had this puzzle that everybody had to do.
[00:42:59] It was the summer of love. And my kids were very excited that Drew said six, seven. And we went back in time and we had Mr. Shatar man who that could have been a cameo. Come on. Yeah. That could have easily been somebody. Yeah. That was ridiculous. Mm hmm.
[00:43:22] Um, is this the first time that they've put on any of these that were no one on the podcast was alive at the time? Hmm. Oh, I mean, it's prehistoric times. Well, that's true. Yeah. It's kind of messed up. They made. They made Lala, you know, host that host that competition. Like, well, you're probably the closest to being alive. Why don't you host it? So we had to do this puzzle and put this all together.
[00:43:52] And I feel like that maybe the edit didn't do this justice, but maybe that this was a story that the retelling was much better than the actual photo finish that we saw.
[00:44:05] Kirsten, I heard a story about how that Jason had the whole thing figured out and then was admiring his puzzle while Rick Devins then snuck in classic Rick Devins Bugs Bunny move and stole the competition from Jason. Yeah. Rick Devins is always stealing from Jason, isn't he? Seems like a consistent thing. Right. Exactly.
[00:44:33] I just maybe it was poorly edited, but based on what I saw, it didn't align with the story that we've been told about the challenge. Jason looked like that. Rick Devins had it first. Yeah. I mean, I think Jason said something at the end of like he was so close, but I mean, not the way that we were sold it in the retelling of like split seconds. And Jason actually had his done before Devins and just couldn't get it rung in in time. It just kind of went it kind of yada yada for me the whole the whole thing.
[00:44:59] Like, would you rather watch this competition or watch Lyric and Rome suck face for like five minutes? Oh, my God. I was just so grateful we had 90 minutes so we could hear every single person's strategy for completing the summer of 67. Yeah. How about Barrett wishes that he was at Woodstock and he would go in the van and get more psychedelic?
[00:45:24] Um, I mean, I think Barrett would rather be doing anything than play a veto competition because he's been laughably bad at both of them so far. Like, embarrassingly bad, actually. I mean, if he's supposed to time in the van, he could probably get better at these competitions. Yeah. Yeah. A little less time in the van. Yeah.
[00:45:44] Ultimately, uh, yeah, we had such a buildup to the veto competition last week with Will World and the lore that with Howie coming in. I wonder if they knew like, oh boy, we had such an exciting nomination ceremony. Let's just yada yada the time travel veto this week. It would be really funny if we found out that there actually was a Big Brother alum there the whole time and it just got cut for time.
[00:46:11] They didn't mention anybody, but maybe somebody fell through at the last minute. Or just that whoever that sitar person was, was actually houseguests as they age so terrible, we just don't know who they are. We just don't remember them. I saw someone trying to say that the sitarist was like a survivor player, but I don't know who and I think that it was a joke. So, yeah, Rob would have known. I wouldn't know. I don't even understand why that guy had to be there. Yeah, he didn't do anything. He didn't host it. He didn't do anything.
[00:46:38] No, I'm not the most familiar with Woodstock having been born in 1992, but what's like a sitar? Like a big situation there? I know neither of you were alive either. I think it was a 60s instrument, but I don't know if there's a connection between the sitar and Woodstock. And I didn't know. I thought it was like going to be something where he would, when the sitar guy was playing, you could go and look for your pieces, but it didn't seem like it had anything to do with it. No. No.
[00:47:09] Maybe he had to, maybe he ate some of that Taylor Farms lettuce and had to go. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Had to excuse himself. Yeah. Had to go. Okay. So ultimately that Rick Devins ends up winning the veto and Jason is not happy with Rick Devins and says that he's going to have to have to kiss ass to Rick. I might just have to kiss his slouchy Adam Sandler wannabe ass.
[00:47:40] Wow. I've never thought of Rick Devins. Like, and like, I think at this point in my life, I'm pretty Rick Devins neutral. That has not always been the case. Yes. I've never thought of him as an Adam Sandler. You know, I have to say though, I can't unsee it now that Jason said that. Yeah. You put Rick Devins like in, in a pair of like baggy shorts, like, like I really could see it. He did get a jar of pickles in his HOH basket. So like that is relevant, I suppose.
[00:48:10] Mm-hmm. Have you ever seen that paparazzi picture of Adam Sandler? He's got the jar of pickles. No, I haven't. Oh my God. Well, I'm going to have to find it after this. Yeah. But all right. Rick Devins ends up winning the veto and we end up seeing the campaigning, which we, I feel like we, we largely talked about. Were there any other things from this episode that we should get into?
[00:48:38] There's one thing I wanted to bring up that's been sitting on my spirit. Yes. The announcer guy at the very start of this episode says, if you have to go to the bathroom, hold it. Yeah. And I, that was extremely strange to me. And I just think everyone should like, you shouldn't hold, if you have to go to the bathroom, you should go to the bathroom. It's not good to hold it. Right. Right.
[00:49:00] Because I don't know how many people are watching this on broadcast television without any sort of pause functionality on your DVR or whether you're watching it on streaming. I bet most people could pause the show. And if you had to miss a minute, your life is fine. Kirsten, they said it before like the five minute recap of what happened in the last episode. You could have gone and come back.
[00:49:27] They should have said, if you have to go to the bathroom, go now while we do the recap. While we're recapping all of this, you have plenty of time. Medically good advice for the show to be giving out. So I just, I felt it was important to mention that.
[00:49:47] And then, yeah, just maybe a general reminder that just because sometimes people are bad at the game of Big Brother doesn't mean that you can't enjoy the ride. Yeah. I do want to check in with that. We have 16 players in the house. I think we did have some offers tonight, notably Mallory. Not to be seen. Not live here now.
[00:50:12] I will say Taylor impressed me with the one line that she had in this episode. I've been kind of down on Taylor because I haven't seen her do anything. But then she's out here saying like, you know, Rob, your famous saying is like for the first few weeks of Big Brother, just take a nap. And that's kind of what Taylor is doing. She's literally doing that. Yeah. And so she's like, the fact that Taylor actually came out and said it for us to know that that's what she's doing. I really appreciated them showing us that for Taylor's sake. Yeah.
[00:50:43] Yash took a borderline offer tonight other than being in the room with Lala. And like, he's kind of, he's in the background of things. Very much so. And I wish he was in the background of someone with hair clippers to fix that situation. Mm-hmm. Yeah, it bugs me every time. It's really every, like I'm like, fix it or take him out of the episode, honestly, because it's really infuriating.
[00:51:10] Let's vote him for time capsule and just make the punishment that he has to shave his head or something. That will fix everything. Oh, my God. Yash is a financial guru. He saves money by cutting his own hair. Okay? That's fine. Cut every hair on the head. He's saving hundreds of dollars a year. Get the mirror in front, the mirror in back. You can fix it. It's fine. There's a way to get all the hair. When he goes to a restaurant, he never gets the special. It's a scam. Never. Never trust. Never trust. Yeah, exactly. It's a scam.
[00:51:40] It's a value meal, not the specials. Oh, I see in the chat. Rob should have that haircut. Okay. No, no. Why would you do that? Listen, I'm still trying to gain Rob's wife's respect back after getting him into love violence. He cannot have that haircut. I have gained viral fame by copying everything Yash does. I need to get his haircut next. I just need to grow it out in the back first. No. Rob, do not do this.
[00:52:09] You're so much better than this. I have to secure the bag next. You do just fine securing the bag. You don't need that. Business in the front, dumpster fire in the back. Yeah. Okay. All right. Should we talk about the vote? Do we need to incorporate the live feeds to talk about the vote? What do you think? I think so.
[00:52:36] I don't think it's been like so crazy feeds exclusive information. Okay. All right. But then let's do a breakdown of the vote going into tomorrow night. So I'm going to say this is borderline live feeds. I don't know if we need to play the spoiler song, but I think that if you're very, very sensitive, we'll see you tomorrow night. Big day tomorrow.
[00:52:58] But let's talk about the voting scenarios going into tomorrow night's BB blockbuster where at this hour, Rome is public enemy number one. Do I have this correct? Correct. Yeah. If Rome is on the block at the, after the BB blockbuster at this hour, Rome would be going home. Yes.
[00:53:25] Jason, how interesting is it if Rome returns to the house after winning the BB blockbuster? Let's see. I think it would be interesting because I think he would have, he does have a chance of HOH. And I think that what I'm interested in is the other side of the house getting HOH. I think, I think a Rome HOH would be interesting and fun. So yeah, I'm, I'm invested in Rome staying just because I think he is one for drama causing at certain points. Yeah.
[00:53:54] It actually, I think Kirsten, I know that you would not love this, but I do think it would be a fun turn to see Rome, a Rome HOH. Uh, if he comes back in, because I do think that, listen, the, the fun part about Rick Devin's and it's been a fun season so far, but the really fun part about seeing Rick Devin's on Big Brother is going to be when he gets nominated. He's on the block.
[00:54:18] I see your point, but we can get that result from Jason or Melody staying. So why, why would it, why would we give that to Rome? Yes. Well, Jason HOH, I think would also be, uh, just as interesting, but it would be, uh, such a fun turnabout to see, to go from. Um, he won the blockbuster, then won the HOH.
[00:54:41] There's a very small chance that this happens smaller than you would even, I can't even think of a thing that it could be a smaller thing then, but, um, that would be classic Big Brother. It would be classic Big Brother, but I just, I think there's diminishing returns on, on that with Rome. Cause like then what Roman lyric have the HOH all week together. No, no, no, no, no.
[00:55:08] Like at least that protects all the other house guests from what they've been experiencing so far. But like, what about Taryn? Why can't we protect Taryn from having to see them in the HOH room? That's true. That could be a lot for Taryn. Okay. So Rome, if he loses the BB blockbuster, this sets up some other scenarios. So a Jason, uh, win of the BB blockbuster saves Jason. In that scenario, Rome is doomed in the vote.
[00:55:37] If Melody wins the BB blockbuster, Rome versus Jason, Rome's still doomed. Yeah. I think Rome's still doomed in that situation. Okay. Why don't we talk through, uh, the scenario though, where Rome has won the blockbuster, forget the HOH, but Jason versus Melody. I feel like that this has been a toss up at times this week.
[00:56:02] How are we feeling like a Jason versus Melody vote might shake out? At this hour, I think that Jason would go. Um, obviously that's subject to change. There have been moments when people have been open to Melody going, of course, with the like paranoia about Drew and Drew and Melody are clearly, you know, hanging out.
[00:56:27] I could see that shifting, but I don't, like, as of right now, I don't feel strongly that it would shift. I think she's safe right now. But again, anything could happen. It's Wednesday night. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I know that there has been some conversation, but where would the, where would the base of support to keep Jason over Melody come from? Who would be really driving that? Is that, is that starting with Lala? Yeah. See, that's a problem.
[00:56:55] There isn't really anyone willing to put their neck out that far for Jason. I do feel like where Melody, uh, does have some potential. I do feel like that Jason, though, is probably bringing more to the table. But does Melody have the in with Drew to try and like muster support that way, either way? Or is it, is that a non-starter?
[00:57:20] Melody and Drew are pretty close, which is honestly more to her detriment than anything because Drew is so untrusted by Angela and Dee. Um, Drew would, is, has definitely been putting in work, um, for Melody. Melody has been putting in work. Uh, I, yeah, I think the big problem is, is like no one is willing to put in the work for Jason. Yeah. I've, I've heard that before. We tell you.
[00:57:49] I was going to say, is this a struggle for you, Jason, to be on a podcast about a show with someone that has your same name? Should we be calling, talking about Selena instead? Yeah. I mean, the previous Jason, I believe, had, uh, also an alter ego, which was, uh, Whistlenut. Oh, yes. I forgot about Whistlenut. I was like, Jason Roy didn't have an alter ego. That was BB-17, Jason Roy. Yeah.
[00:58:16] Jason was Whistlenut that broke Christmas's leg. And I don't know, have we had another Jason since then? I don't, I don't know. I don't think so. Yeah. Weirdly enough, I feel like Jason's a common name. I don't, I don't see it a lot in like reality competition. Uh, it's interesting. Yeah. So, all right. So, uh, I do think that a, cause Jason, AKA, uh, Selena has been very good in these competitions.
[00:58:47] I, it's definitely an option. Yeah. For a Jason win. Yes. I mean, what are the noms looking like if Jason wins HOH? Is it strictly a Devin's Angela D like trio up there? Um, D like is kind of in there a little bit. Cause there's like the Barrett, Jason D kind of the rubble situation that's has, you know, come and gone over the days. So I think there's a possibility that D would be safe there.
[00:59:16] I could absolutely see Angela and Devin's being up on the block. Yeah. Not a hundred percent percent sure on the, on the third there. I do think that D ended up having a, a pretty good episode. Cause I think that they, uh, left out, uh, certain things that would not have made her look as good in this episode. Uh, where she was a loud voice campaigning, uh, a pro lyric voice and an anti melody voice.
[00:59:47] Yeah. And literally for what read, like why are we just believing lyric? I, I do not understand. Like this is someone that they have not spent a lot of time with in the game. And they're just like, yeah, she said she wouldn't come for us. So I guess she wouldn't come for us. She's that good. Obviously she is. Um, she's doing great. She has Rome and the whole house wrapped around her finger. The poverty of big brother. If my, some might say, yes, her power.
[01:00:19] Yeah. Yeah. It really is fascinating to think about what she might be able to do in a post Rome world. And so that's, that's really the interesting thing. I would love to see it. They did also show in this episode D saying that that nomination ceremony was a better day than the day she literally won a million dollars. Better than December 20th, 2023. Day in infamy. Day in infamy.
[01:00:45] Well, that day was also, you know, that was not always a happy day because of the reindeer games events of the same day. Was the reindeer games was the same day as the survivor finale? I, I think that that day was the, um, Daniel Reyes, uh, like Brittany. The survivor finale is three hours. I don't think that they can do, uh, was it the same year? Um, okay.
[01:01:13] Let me, let me do some fact checking. Cause I just, someone sent that to me in my DMS and I just believe them cause I'm not as suspicious as Jason is. Yes. But yeah, that those, that's a three hour block on a Wednesday survivor finale. They do some long ass nights with these shows, Rob. They do, but I don't think they would stack a survivor, uh, reindeer games and a big brother finale or the day before and the day after, but not the day of. I was lied to.
[01:01:42] I fell for misinformation. I'm sorry everybody for spreading misinformation on the internet. That's what you get for trusting. Yeah. I'll never trust again. Yes. You gotta be careful. Also, uh, speaking of misinformation, Sam Moore has sent me a, uh, a message that Mallory did have a confessional in the competition tonight. Okay. And what did she say? Samuel. Cause it's stick out. The pipe queen did have a confessional. Okay.
[01:02:10] I I'm really with frail Mary on this one. We got to come up with a better nickname than pipe queen. I love that so much. That was so good. This is the problem. I ruined you with love Island where now you're like, oh yeah, it's totally normal to just call someone pipe queen. I really didn't think much of it until, uh, until Mary brought it up. Mary's my girl. She gets me. Yeah.
[01:02:39] Any other stories that we're watching at this hour about big brother 28? I feel like we're sort of a little sleepwalking into the, uh, all coming down to the BB blockbuster. I mean, I know we talked about Roman lyric canoodling, but I don't think we emphasized enough for the viewers. Like what was going on at 7am in the morning today. Yeah.
[01:03:03] So just to give you my POV, I was on a RHAP staff call and I had the live feeds on with no, I was in the middle of a, of a sentence. And then I'm, I'm just seeing this like spinning wheel in the green night vision and it's getting, I'm like, hold on a second. Are there are two people hooking up on the have not bed while other people are sleeping on it? Boy.
[01:03:28] It's, it's made so much better by actually our text history of the last week, Rob, which I, I will expose. What are you putting Ashley Hollis on me? I, if you're okay with it, I would like to share a text message. So last Thursday, of course, Rob was on the live feed update. I get a text. He says, I think we might need to bring you in to confirm what's happening under the covers between Lyric and Rome. I said, Oh Lord, are they French frying? Yes. Rob said, we need you to tell us. I sent six crying emojis.
[01:03:58] One of Kirsten's gifts on the Love Island podcast is that, that she has to do a breakdown of what's happening in the room. Jason, that they don't have this unmarried at first sight where everybody sleeps in the same room and there's night vision and like sleeping in the same bed. It's Roman Lyric. And then I'm looking, what are they doing in the, are they cuddling? Are they canoodling? What's happening? So then today I texted Rob. Do you know about the French fries, Jason? No, I don't know about the French fries.
[01:04:25] It's like a French fries, a side dish. You know, they're long and skinny. People love them. That was part of the Love Island. And so I then sent Rob a screenshot of Rome on top of Lyric on the Have Not Bed this morning. And I said, I think they had some French fries on the Have Not Wheel. Yeah. So maybe, maybe a French fries a little with two little meatballs, maybe? No. Side dish.
[01:04:55] They're not in the same meal. Rob says to me, I had the feeds on with no sound just now. I had to do a double take. I said, this is absurd. It's 8 a.m. And Rob said, no hooking up for Have Nots should be a rule. I stand by that. I said, we should discuss on the pod. And we did. They're already taking cold showers. There should be, please stop hooking up. This, this is where I'm like, like the showers could be colder. Like, let's make it so this isn't even possible. You know?
[01:05:23] There should be, there should be constant cold water on them as they sleep in the bed. You know? Get a spray bottle in there. Yeah. I thought Barrett was going to go sleep in soul ties. How do you just, like, I guess at a certain point you're like, I'm so uncomfortable. I might as well just pretend that I'm still asleep and that I'm not seeing this. But like, push them off the bed. Like, what are we, throw a pillow. What are we doing here?
[01:05:50] Like, again, in Love Island, you know this is a possibility. People could be having full penetration in the bed next to you. You've like implicitly consented to that experience by going on Love Island. You don't expect this in the have not room. Yeah. Yeah. There are people less than a foot away from them on this creaky ass. This was a lot. I'm sorry. I'm going to get banned from the podcast. I've got to stop. I'm so sorry.
[01:06:21] Mm-hmm. I don't know how you don't just roll over. Like, have some decency. Do it somewhere else. Not where I'm two feet away. Go make out in the backyard. Yeah. Somewhere else. Just in the same. I shouldn't have shared the same air as your musty sex. Right. So the fake breakup is totally off, I presume. I mean, I think that they might still be trying to pretend a little bit. But like, not that well.
[01:06:51] It's so great. I'm really disturbed by what I saw this morning. Chuck and Yash are like, hey, but how about the lyric? It's like, it's so great. And it's the way that, like, Chuck and Yash will probably be like, nice. Maybe she'll do that with us when he's gone. Shut up. Freak. Just wait. Just wait. They're rubbing their hands together. Like, no, enough is enough. Mm-hmm. They are locked in the house. The backyard's been closed.
[01:07:19] So they're all, you know, pacing around. So we're expecting like some kind of big build tomorrow for the HOH. Does that speak to anything? I have to imagine. Yeah. Some large build is going on. And it's too early for the wall. Can you imagine if it was the wall? Well, I feel like we would have been told last week, like, and next week, tune in for our
[01:07:49] live HOH with the wall. Yep. Although I guess like there is BB Unlocked this week, right? So they might want something big that they can like show part of it on BB Unlocked. Yeah. Kirsten, anything else that we're following at this hour in terms of what's been going on at the house today? Okay. I did. I asked people on Blue Sky. I was like, I've been busy at work.
[01:08:16] Like, is there anything that is big from the last couple of hours? And I did get some results. Let me open them up. I should have had this cut up to start. I'm so sorry. Yeah, we were pranking Lala and hiding. I don't know. Were they hiding her towel? Yes. Yes. Um, so a couple of days ago, there was a towel in the toilet stall and Lala's cleaning as she does taking care of all these dirty ass people every single day. Sure. And she said, why is there a towel in here?
[01:08:46] That's disgusting. Because it is disgusting. Why are you putting a towel behind the toilet? That's nasty. And so then they decided. But it was a prank or somebody's bad hygiene? It was a prank, right? I think it was bad hygiene. And then one got placed there as a prank after people saw how much it got under Lala's skin initially. Because these people are just really obsessed with doing gross stuff to get under Lala's
[01:09:14] skin, even though like, I mean, I wasn't paying the closest attention in the first couple of days. But as far as I'm aware, Lala hasn't done anything to anybody except for like, keep the house clean and livable. Yeah. Um, so that's happening. Too many people in this house trying to be a- Messy bitch! They're trying it. Um, oh, also- Drew asked Dee, did all of the women forget to bring bras? Yeah. Because he's confused about-
[01:09:42] I watched that clip today. Uh, I don't know what- what was he- what was he trying to say? Um, is he- is he uncomfortable that- that women- not enough women are wearing bras for his liking? I, you know. Maybe if he sees Napoleon, he has trouble standing up. I don't know. Um, but he- Anyways, this will be my last podcast on RJP. I'm fired. Yeah.
[01:10:08] Um, but I- no, like, I think that it's just like, he's a young guy. There is a hundred percent, like, uh, pressure that gets put on women that they have to wear bras. I think that he's like, he's just now learning that women don't wear bras when they're home all of the time. And he's gonna learn when he- It's not a uniform. Exactly. It's not required. Mm-hmm. He was like, I watched this clip. He was talking to Dee, and he was, like, covering his nipples.
[01:10:35] He was like, I think I would- I would- I would want to, uh, be protected. It's- like- Does he not realize he also has nipples? You know? I don't know. Yeah. Why don't you put a shirt on, Drew? Yeah. Well, and then he did ask if he could- Where's your bra? He asked if he could wear one of Dee's bras. So, I don't know. Maybe- Yeah. Maybe we'll get Jason putting, um, the men in drag, and then Drew will get to see what it's like to wear a bra for a day. Oh, get one for Kamu, okay? Am I right?
[01:11:06] Kamu could use a diaper because he acts like such a frickin' baby. He kind of had an over tonight. It's so annoying, actually, that Kamu is, like, good at this game. Mm-hmm. Because everything else about him is so repellent. Playing a good game. Okay. Yeah. So, it's still a slower day today. Yeah, a little bit slower day. Okay. They also, like, Lala took, like, the big magnifying glass from the egg, the hard-boiled
[01:11:35] detective costume for her investigation, which is pretty funny. She was turning it into a thing. Yeah. She was having fun. Yeah. She's very funny. Okay. All right. Well, Jason, is there anything else on your mind, though, as we head into our big day tomorrow? No, I think we got it all. I'm excited to see the outcome. I hope it's, I'm hoping for some fireworks after what happens. Yes. If Rome wins the blockbuster, the way he was hyping himself up after, at the end of this
[01:12:04] episode, I'm just, I'm really curious to see what that would be like. Like, if he, if he, if he, I'm sure he won't even, he'll ignore Julie's warnings of, don't tell anyone before you get down there. He'd just come hooting, hollering down the stuff like, you thought you would get rid of me, but I'm back in this house. And I want to make y'all pay. Like, like, I'm excited to see if something like that's going to happen. Will he do that, Jason? Or will he be totally nonchalant about it? Like it was, like it was nothing. Like when he won in on premiere night and he turned around, they didn't look at the thing
[01:12:32] when he had to count for 10 seconds. Yeah. It was walking like, I mean, it was, it was light work. I knew what I had to do. I mean, he does give like a hockey player vibe. So I could really see him winning the blockbuster and being like, you know, do, do what I had to do. I got out there, capitalized my opportunities, you know, made it work. He'll probably do something obnoxious, like come in and just start tonguing down lyric when he was back in the house. Okay. That'd be romantic. Yeah.
[01:13:01] He did have such an unusual line at the nomination ceremony when he talked about Rick Devins. He's like that man, that guy right there. He's a good ball player. I've never heard, speaking of balls, I've never heard anybody described that way before at the nomination ceremony. Does he mean pickleball? Maybe. Maybe. I've never heard Rick Devins get pickleball. He's pretty envious of anyone with good ball skills. I would say. Yes. He's elite ball knowledge. Yeah. Okay.
[01:13:30] All right. If you want to get Big Brother elite ball knowledge, head on over to chatbccbb28.chat. You don't know what's going to happen. You might get a funny joke. You might get a great take. You might get Big Brother alumni fighting and getting into a whole back and forth. It's wild. You never know what's going to happen.
[01:13:56] It's like the live feeds for the alumni over on chatbcc. We've got a lot of great stuff. I told you we had a really good show coming up on Thursday night. And I was not lying because coming up on Thursday night, we'll have with us Morgan. Morgan Pope joins us for Big Brother Thursday night.
[01:14:24] What does Morgan think about everything that's going on? I can't wait to hear. She has a very interesting perspective on the game. That'll be very fun. Yes. Who wore the egg costume? The best. We'll find it out all from Morgan on Big Brother Thursday eviction night. So be on the lookout for that. I will also have Summer of Stein coming up on Thursday.
[01:14:49] Speaking of slouchy Adam Sandler wannabe asses and find out what Eric is thinking about everything. If you have Summer of Stein stories you want us to talk about, send them in. RobinsWebbs.com slash Stein for that one. Also today, Taryn and I caught up with Becca Devins, first lady of the HOH. And Becca Devins was very fun to talk to. Talked about what she's seeing.
[01:15:18] She's having a great time watching Rick play Big Brother. And so really fun interview catching up with Becca Devins. Then Aubrey Bracco also stopped by the podcast this week. We talked to her on Monday. She talked about what it's been like for her to watch Dee and Rick play in Big Brother 28. Aubrey's a big Big Brother fan. So it's been a fun season for her as well.
[01:15:44] And then over on Patreon, we have so much great stuff for you to catch every single week. Including this week, I did the BB mailbag with Taryn. We went through all of the win probabilities for all of the players still in the game. We updated our rankings and answered your mailbag questions. And then last night on The Slop, we were joined by Kat Dunn.
[01:16:10] We talked about all of the slop going on in the Big Brother alumni world. So very fun podcast over on Patreon. And then next month, RahapCon is coming to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The patrons have links to get the discounted tickets. August 26th to the 28th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jason, what's going on at Married at First Sight?
[01:16:38] Is that lyric in Rome, Married at First Sight? Yeah. Listen, Big Brother is not the show for romance and showmance. This is the show for romance and showmance. If you have a mess and love hole in your heart from Love Island, come on over to Married at First Sight. We're picking up the torch of messy love shows. It's a new season, a new era for Married at First Sight. We've got new experts, new everything. It's on Peacock right now. So go ahead and hit us up. We have episodes four through six coming up tomorrow.
[01:17:08] We do have the recap for you right after the episodes come out. So me and Asia Welch are there to fill you all in on what's going on at Married at First Sight. Who's that on the thumbnail? Tori and Felipe. Okay. They're pretty hot and heavy. That's not Daddy Nick. Not Daddy Nick. For those of you that are familiar with Kirsten's favorite reality star, they somehow got Nick from the circle, Daddy Nick, to come on Married at First Sight. Yes, he did come on the show. He is married.
[01:17:35] Some of you would be happy to know his wife doesn't really love him. So that's not going great. So if you want to see Nick get a little embarrassed, come on over to Married at First Sight. Kirsten, I'm sure that's something you would be doing. No, why am I in it? Yeah. It's your favorite reality star. Oh my God. Okay. Kirsten, have you been following any Love Island drama on social media? There has been some drama, but more so from past seasons.
[01:18:03] The current season hasn't really been too dramatic yet. I think people are getting their representation sorted out and maybe saving things for the reunion. But there's been some season six and seven drama in the past week. Six, seven. Yes. And yeah, you can keep up with me everywhere at Kirsten Said What, including twitch.tv slash Kirsten Said What, where I'm going to be starting a new cozy game soon. I just need to figure out what time of day there's a gap in programming. What's a cozy game?
[01:18:34] So this game is where you're a cat and you're working at the post office and you're like stamping packages. And it's just like chill vibes, like not too stressful, just like a very enjoyable cutie experience. Yeah. So I'm excited to start playing that. And then, of course, Mess Magnets with myself and Sasha Joseph. And if you haven't already gone to weenodatingshows.com, that channel's still there. Go subscribe.
[01:19:04] Yeah. That's where you can catch all of Married at First Sight with Asia and Jason. And Kirsten, let me know when to put up the emergency bat signal for Love Island slop. I will let you know. I can't wait. There surely will be something. And at least, you know what, we'll have rehab con and then we'll get home and then we'll have the reunion. So at least we'll still get to talk Love Island at least one more time. All right. Hopefully twice.
[01:19:33] Be sure to check out Taryn tomorrow morning, 11 a.m. for the live feed update, getting you ready for the big eviction day. And then Summer of Stein will drop that in the afternoon. And then a big show on Thursday night where Morgan Pope joins us for the second Big Brother eviction. Take care, everybody. Have a good one. Bye.
[01:20:08] Bye.
