Big Brother 28 reaches its penultimate day, and the tension is high as the final threeβDrew, Devens, and Taylorβprepare for the showdown that will decide who sits in the Final 2. Host Taran Armstrong brings a detailed recap, breaking down the subtle and not-so-subtle moves setting up the finale.
On Day 85, Taylor, Drew, and Devens are locked in study mode, each with their own approach to prepping for the critical final HoH competition. The social dynamic is unusual: Drew is the bridge between Devens and Taylor, as those two are barely speaking after Devensβ failed pitch to Taylor. Jury house updates include Angela and LaTrice growing close, and hints that Deeβs presence in jury could sway votes depending on her mood. Speeches and strategies are being fine-tunedβDrew practices his final two pitch, focusing on activity and social bonds, while Devens aims to frame every bold move as proof he deserves the win, spinning his past mistakes into strategic positives.
- Taran Armstrong explains how the timing of competitions gives Devens more time to study, possibly leveling the playing field for the last HoH.
- Drew believes the comp format wonβt change, but Devens says even production claims not to know specifics this season.
- Taylor tells Drew to βown your wolf,β signaling she may respect straightforward gameplay over hidden moves, which could impact her jury vote.
- Both Drew and Devens debate how to frame their mistakesβDevens struggles to admit to volunteering for the block, while Drewβs speech practice risks sounding too generic or pandering.
With the final three each pushing unique endgame strategies, the votes and speeches promise to shape the legacy of BB28. Will Drewβs social game and activity, Devensβ comp wins and bold moves, or Taylorβs last-minute bonds decide it all?
Tune in for Taran Armstrongβs final update and a full breakdown of how the endgame is playing out.

[00:00:10] Armstrong talk Big Brother Looking at the stuff from yesterday All the drama, all the strategy and silliness from Fido to HOH You know he is the reason, you know what's happened Rob said that he could do it, tomorrow he will do it again
[00:00:43] Hello everyone and good morning, welcome to our live feed update for September 30th. I'm your host Taran Armstrong and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 85 in the house and it is the
[00:01:11] penultimate update of the season. That is it. Just one more day. Tomorrow is the finale of Big Brother 28. It is finally here. We will see who wins the season. We'll see who wins part three. We'll see all of it. I will be here tomorrow as well. And we were going to try to go back to the
[00:01:41] live when the feeds come down for good. So we'll have the full story. So, you know, shooting for around noon Eastern, but it might be later or in fact, it won't be earlier. It'll be either noon Eastern or it will be later if the feeds continue further into the day. We'll just wait until the feeds officially cut and then we'll go live for the final update.
[00:02:11] which will be, you know, the final, you know, the final, you know, the final, you know, the final, the last, last hurrah here heading into finale night. But there is still stuff to talk about today as we run through the events of day 85, including some, some speeches that people are prepping. We've got, you know, we've got, you know, we've got more studying, lack thereof.
[00:02:41] And, you know, just general stuff like that. So, what I do want to talk about, yesterday I mentioned that there was, there were jury interviews conducted by Dalton Ross. And, and, uh, basically just asking the jury pretty general questions. I don't think, uh, that they, that they're like trying to give anything away.
[00:03:08] So there's not a lot to discuss here, uh, other than the fact that Angela and Lala were talking about being besties in the jury house, which we already kind of figured would be the case. Angela did, um, sort of seem to say, she said, uh, man, uh, the worst part about being in the jury house is when you have a little beef with somebody, you have to be cordial and get along, which is kind of hard. And a lot of it's my fault. I made my bet. I got to lay in it.
[00:03:33] I, you know, you would presume she is talking about Melody, which kind of insinuates that Melody is still upset about what Angela did. And that Angela has taken responsibility for the, uh, the argument, but she could also be talking about something completely separate. So who knows? Um, so, uh, so that's, that's really all there was there.
[00:04:00] I have been asked about this because D was part of the interview for the jury. Um, and, uh, and some people were curious about, uh, like, oh, does this mean that D is in the jury house with them? Uh, and I don't know for sure, but I would say my assumption would be no.
[00:04:22] Um, that, uh, this is usually how it works, um, in these specific interviews that, that often happen. Uh, the final four jury member is included in the interview, but is not in the jury house when they do the interview, which I would then assume is why, uh, they say, uh, Dalton says, um, we, uh, caught D on her way to the jury house.
[00:04:48] Uh, so she's, you know, uh, granted that's the, the implication there is that she was on the way to the jury house that she would eventually be there, but she was certainly not there during the time of the interview. Uh, and, uh, and that I would assume what the, what the real meaning there is, uh, is that she's on the way to the jury round table, but, but who knows, you know, there's, this is, uh, this is an extended period of time.
[00:05:14] So it's certainly possible that D really does get to the jury house first. It just, it just would be very unusual. I would say, um, uh, somebody said, why is so bad if D had to have D in the jury house? Uh, I wouldn't necessarily call it bad. It just changes things, right? Uh, if D gets to the jury house early, it means she has more time to spend on somebody like Angela to make sure that Angela is a vote for either Devin's or drew.
[00:05:42] Um, uh, or maybe it's the reverse. If D gets there and annoys people, then she makes it even less likely to people vote for the, what D wants them to do or whatever. Right. Like it just, it impacts how the jury is thinking about things. If the final four evict D it's there early versus only is there for the round table. Uh, because every person that joins the jury has a different impact. And usually the later you join, the more of an impact you can have.
[00:06:09] D is certainly one of the more potentially influential juries, juries, juror members, jurors. Um, so, uh, so who knows really? Uh, but yes, um, obviously as we expected as well, Melody talked about getting along really well with Barrett. The two of them, uh, really like spending a lot of time together in the jury house. She also mentioned spending a lot of time with Yash. Um, so that could be either very good for Drew or very bad for Drew, right?
[00:06:39] Depending on who is influencing who in that scenario. Uh, either way, uh, that was about what we, what I got from the jury and there, uh, back to the day though. Uh, day 85, of course, the final three is Drew, Devin's and Taylor. One part one, Devin, Devin's one part two. They're going to face off in part three. Taylor has had a bit of a head start when it comes to studying for part three,
[00:07:07] but Devin's in day 84 in particular really started to catch up as he started studying some just, uh, you know, because he's unsure about what the final competition is and has just started to study seemingly. So, uh, so that's where things stand. Uh, Taylor has some more birthday celebration stuff. Devin's and Drew set some stuff up for her, uh, and, and, and stuff like that.
[00:07:33] But the real meat of this, uh, are primarily going to be some Devin's and Drew conversations. I want to set the scene a little bit here because this final three dynamic is almost entirely Drew and Devin's talking with Taylor and her pod or somewhere else, like not hanging out with them as much. Taylor will occasionally join them. And when the three of them are talking, it's usually the best vibe, except for when she was rage baiting Devin's.
[00:08:00] Uh, and then, uh, and then sometimes Drew talks to Taylor, but pretty much, I'm not sure there's been like a single substantive conversation between Devin's and Taylor since his failed pitch to her to try to get her to potentially bring him to the final two. Uh, he really like, he really botched the pitch. Uh, Taylor was not fond of it.
[00:08:26] She told him flat out, no, and they haven't really spoken, uh, in an, again, any substantive way, uh, just the two of them ever since. Which is pretty wild. It's a very unusual dynamic for a final three for the, the two, uh, part three contenders to not be talking more and just working harder on like trying to bond, make sure they have each other's jury votes, make sure they're like at least pretending to promise each other to take each other to final two.
[00:08:55] It's, uh, it's a very strange dynamic in my opinion, but, uh, it is what it is. I guess they both just still plan to take drew to the end. Uh, and kudos to drew in this spot as well, because he has been the bridge between them. Uh, for the most part, he is able to talk to both, which has helped ensure that he is going to go to the final two with both.
[00:09:21] Uh, and, uh, and also he's gotten a ton of information from both about what he should say in the final two, what the game looked like, what their games looked like, what they plan to say in the final two. Um, I don't know that all of it is like intentional kind of gamesmanship as much as it is just kind of drew being who drew is, which was his biggest strength has always just been how active he is. Uh, but to the end of the game, he remains the middleman. Yeah.
[00:09:51] Um, so, uh, so it's certainly, I think is helping him, especially as we walk through the events of the day. Um, so Devin's and drew have a conversation. This is one of the, this is the first of the conversations that I found to be interesting. Of course, one of the primary storylines of the last few days from me has been how drew still thinks it's in the final part three of the final three. H.O.H. is the incorrect version of it.
[00:10:18] Uh, and he, and Devin's is continuing to ask drew about dates and drew's giving him as many dates as he knows. Uh, but he's like, I really don't even think it's worth the brainpower to bother studying that. And Devin says, well, I might as well. There's nothing else to do, which I think has been Devin's is like saving grace here. Again, it's better to be lucky than good for Devin's. If this had been a normal schedule where the part three of the final three H.O.H. was like, say Sunday night.
[00:10:45] Uh, I think there's a good chance he would have been crushed in part three with no chance. It's well, not no chance, but he would have not had the, uh, the studying that he has now. It's the fact that it's so long that has given him time to be so bored that he just goes and studies anyway. Right.
[00:11:04] Um, and, and it, I, which just goes to show you just like, I think that being the theme of the season is so apt because, uh, there are so many different, uh, ways that you can get lucky or unlucky. And big brother that often go completely unreported because we like to assign narrative and story to, uh, an agency to the players.
[00:11:27] But, but there's so much that's that, that luck, uh, is involved with, um, and so many structures and things that production put in place that they completely changed the possible outcomes of the, uh, of the show. So I talk about all that, all that stuff in my book, behind the mirror, uh, if you're interested in reading it someday. Um, so Devin says, uh, Drew says, listen, Devin's the comp has been the same since big brother too.
[00:11:57] Uh, like it's, they're not going to change it, man. And Devin's like, well, are you helping Taylor study? Like, are you giving her these dates? And Drew's like, no, no, I was, I, I don't, I disagree with her that it's, that it's going to be a dates competition anyway. Uh, and Devin says, well, the people that I've talked to have said that it changes every year, but they also said that they have no idea what it is.
[00:12:27] They actually don't know, which is so weird, right? Uh, because the people he's talked to again, have to be production. Like there's no conceivable other option of people that he could be referring to here, uh, other than production.
[00:12:52] Um, but it sounds like what production told him was, yeah, the comps are different every year. I don't know what, like, I don't know what it is going to be. And then he pressed them on it and they were like, no, I really actually don't know. Uh, so maybe the, I don't know was kind of like backtracking.
[00:13:20] Maybe it was like, uh, like a lie. Maybe they did like, you know, or, or maybe this was just like, uh, it's some, I don't know, some production person that genuinely has no idea what the show is. I don't know, man. Um, I haven't quite been able to figure it out, but, but I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's a weird situation that we're in here for sure.
[00:13:50] Uh, Drew says, well, listen, I've been loud. I can be loud and wrong. I've been loud and wrong a lot. So, you know, but I really don't think it's going to be dates or anything. Uh, so it continues. At this point, it doesn't really matter because Devins is studying. He just doesn't, I mean, I guess the one piece of information that Devins could gather is that,
[00:14:16] uh, part three is usually like stat cards more so than chronological dates. Um, Taylor is studying like stat card stuff. Um, and, uh, and Devins is primarily studying, uh, chronologically. Um, so, uh, so they, they continue.
[00:14:41] Uh, through the game or sort of through the conversation and Drew starts asking Devins about his final two speech. Um, Devins says he's, he feels like he's got an answer for the icons, got advantages question. Drew asks him what his biggest mistake was. Devins is biggest mistake. And, um, I mean, instantly in my head, volunteering for the block, volunteering for the block. You would have been evicted if you hadn't won the blockbuster.
[00:15:09] It was a very close blockbuster. Clearly that was the biggest mistake. Uh, and if you were asked that question, I think you probably say, uh, I trusted in my alliance a little too much. Uh, I volunteered to be a team player and then realized that I was in more danger than I thought and had to win my way off the block. That was my biggest mistake. I feel like that's probably the best way you could frame that. Uh, or at least one of the best ways you can frame that you can then, uh, and this is sort of how Devins plans to do it.
[00:15:37] You could then turn that into, and the social capital that I won from volunteering to give Drew, uh, you know, uh, an easy option that week is what helped me get Drew to bring me to the final three at final four. Um, so like there is a way you can spin volunteering into that's what saved me at final four. And it is again, what Devins plans to do. Uh, but I'd still then call it my biggest mistake.
[00:16:08] Devins is answer though, is I don't really know if I had a biggest mistake. Hmm. Maybe I overtrusted Barrett. Uh, maybe ratting out Yash with the 5k thing. Cause it didn't change Barrett's mind and it just made the relationship with Yash harder to amend. Um, and it's just like, I don't know if I was asked that if, if, if I was on the jury
[00:16:35] and Devins was asked that question and he said he trusted Barrett too much, I'd be like, come on. And if he said he said ratting out the 5k, I'd be like, really? I'd personally be looking for the volunteering thing. I'd want to see you turn the volunteering mistake into a win, which he kind of, again, plans to do. Uh, but you know, it is what it is, but here's the thing. And this is what I keep saying as much as we're going to nitpick because what else is there to talk about?
[00:17:03] Uh, Devins says to drew in this conversation, I've been on two juries on survivor. And, and this is my commentary on survivor. Final tribal is much longer because it's pre-taped, uh, on big brother. The jury questioning is like a grand total of 10 minutes, uh, on survivor. It can last hours, right? Uh, there's a lot of back and forth.
[00:17:30] There's a lot of room for explanation and minds to change. Uh, it's widely considered to be much more likely that a survivor jury will change their opinion based on final tribal than big, a big brother jury will change their opinion based on, uh, reading a question from a cue card. Um, what Devins says in the two juries I was on, not a single person changed their vote based on final tribal.
[00:17:57] Uh, so he's like, for as much as we can agonize over these questions, they probably don't matter. Uh, you can blow it probably, but it's probably not going to be a huge. So it's like, man, even on survivor in the two, in the two situations that Devin's been on the jury, uh, even, even on survivor, it didn't matter at all. Uh, so make sure, you know, you're considering that in the, uh, in the equation here.
[00:18:29] They continue to talk about the season, uh, and drew then quickly, not quickly, but, uh, eventually mentions that he was actually very mad at Devins for volunteering the week that he was HOH because he really wanted to put up D, uh, after, after D had nominated him, but Devins had volunteered and prevented him from doing so. We talked about that a lot that week. Um, and it does to me kind of indicate that there is a weakness here that, that drew could kind of press on this.
[00:18:59] Like you volunteered in a spot. I didn't even want you to volunteer. That didn't win you any favor from me. Uh, I wanted to put up D, but instead you forced me to put you up and then you almost went home because of it. Uh, it's, you know, it's a little in the weeds, but it's a good point. You know what I mean? Um, so, uh, they continue through the day.
[00:19:24] Uh, Devins practices his final two speech, uh, to himself a few different times. Um, and the, the gist of it here is that Devins wants to emphasize that at every decision point, he made the bold choice. Um, bold moves, big moves at every option that he had available to him. He never let any, uh, opportunity go by. Um, he won the most amount of competitions. If he wins part three, that'll be, I think true.
[00:19:52] Uh, and he was always on the right side of the vote, which apparently this is controversial. Uh, who's on what side of the vote? But, uh, like I said, like, I think for me being on the right side of the vote is that like every vote went the way that you wanted it to. Um, and, uh, and I, I guess, uh, I already won't tried to go through this off the top of my head before.
[00:20:20] Um, but, uh, but honestly, I think I would say not quite, it would be my answer to this. Uh, I don't think it quite always went Devins's way. In particular, I would say, uh, and this is maybe picking nits, but, uh, week one, they, they kind of, they kind of wanted Ashley to stay, but they didn't think it was worth pushing.
[00:20:49] Uh, I would say that that, you know, was a technically not on the right side of that vote. Uh, cause it wasn't what you wanted. You kind of gave up. Um, cause like, you know, on big brother, it's like, there's only two options and you know, which option is going to win. So of course you just flip your vote to the other side, uh, if you don't think you can make it there. Um, and so it's like, what really counts as being on the right side of the vote, but I think he can get away with saying this.
[00:21:14] And I think most people will like sort of instinctually agree with it, uh, compared to Drew or Taylor who both had, uh, votes that clearly didn't go their way. Um, you know, uh, where like Drew is losing melody. Taylor is losing Yash or Kamu. Uh, it's like, you know, Devins, the only time Devins really lost an ally was against either himself or another ally.
[00:21:42] Uh, and in both of those situations, obviously he wanted those things to go in the way that they went. Um, so I, like I said, I think he can get away with saying this, uh, and I think it will probably land, but it also like, again, it doesn't really matter. Uh, he also wants to say that he volunteered for the block because he's a team player. Um, and that the only time he was ever vulnerable for eviction was at the final four where the
[00:22:10] relationship he had built with Drew pulled through and got him into the final three. So this is what I was mentioning before where like, he is kind of tying in volunteering for the block with being taken to the final three in his speech. I wouldn't say it's like explicitly linked like, Hey, part of my relationship building with drew specifically, not just with the team was volunteering for the block on his
[00:22:38] HOH, which then, you know, gave me the credibility I needed with drew to get him to take me over D at the final four. Uh, cause mention even just mentioning that you volunteered for the block, uh, and reminding people of it. I feel like, uh, again, if I were on the jury, I'd be like, what in the world? Like you're mentioning that you have volunteered for the block, uh, in your speech. Like this is a selling point. Um, so I do think he has to be a little careful, uh, navigating that.
[00:23:08] Um, but he goes and he talks to, uh, to drew. Um, yes, uh, philosophically, it's not about being on the right side of the vote. It's about whether you are the person who controlled the vote or at least like, again, for me, it's just like, uh, cause like, it's like, who cares if you voted the correct way? It's more about did the outcome that you wanted to have happen with the vote happen?
[00:23:32] Um, but, but that also like, doesn't necessarily mean anything about your game. Uh, you can want things to happen. Um, and, and they could be bad things. You know what I mean? Uh, it's just one of those things that's like, we try to statistic a size. It's probably a good word for that. Uh, that I don't know.
[00:23:57] Uh, we try to make stats out of big brother, you know, things like, Oh, never got voted for first time on the whatever. Uh, but the reality is that like the game is so much more complex than that. And these kinds of stats don't really mean anything unless you can make it seem like it means something, which is part of what is interesting about the game. Right.
[00:24:19] Um, so, uh, Devin's does talk to drew some more, uh, Devin's talks about how he feels like this is his chance again at like a finals place, getting his chance to, to pitch his case to the jury. Uh, it's like survivor 38 all over again. And Drew's like, yeah, it's like your possible, uh, shot at redemption. And Drew says that he'd rather Devin's win part three, even if it means that he has a worse chance of winning the game.
[00:24:49] He really wants to see Devin's win. Um, and call me misted. I believe him. I do. I, I believe drew wants Devin's to win. I think there is a part of him that wants Devin's to win part three in part because I think he still thinks he has a chance to beat Devin's. Um, and he'd rather lose to Devin's.
[00:25:19] And I think, cause I think that has always been true. Um, I think he's probably overselling it to Devin's of course, but like he has done everything in his power seemingly to help Devin's prepare for part three, even though he doesn't think it's, uh, what, what it is. Um, he's also like tried to give Devin's as much advice as possible.
[00:25:43] Um, and, uh, and I just feel like he, he keeps telling the cameras, he thinks he has a shot against Devin's. Uh, and, and this also then leads me to believe what would have happened if drew one part two, what would have happened if drew was heading to part three and he had a choice on his hands of who to take to the end. Uh, we had this question last week.
[00:26:10] Would he really have cut Devin's despite that being the plan? Uh, and it's like, I do think that there's maybe a little bit of leeway here that says, uh, this is what a lot of people expected that like over six days, would he change his mind and maybe bring Devin's? Uh, I listen, I don't think we'll ever know for sure.
[00:26:36] Um, so, uh, Taylor ends up studying, uh, some more Devin studies some more. So Devin's is still studying fairly chronologically, but what I will say is he has gotten better over the last day. Remember yesterday I was talking about how Devin's was finally studying and that as he was going through the events of the season, he was pausing a lot like, Oh man, what? But who was that? Who else was nominated?
[00:27:05] Who won that blockbuster as he's going through it here on day 85? He's a lot quicker with it. He's a lot quicker with the facts. He's still occasionally stumbling, but, uh, but he's a lot faster as he goes chronologically through the game. This will allow him if he's fast enough to manually figure out the questions on part three. Uh, as long as he's, he just not like, he doesn't panic or anything.
[00:27:30] Um, so, uh, I do think that he has largely made up the gap necessary to be competitive in part three. I think that, uh, he, he is very capable of winning this competition now, according to the way that they've studied. Now, Taylor, on the other hand, on the other hand, sorry. Uh, Taylor is studying individual player stats, which is more valuable. Uh, how many competitions did they win?
[00:27:58] How many blockbusters? What kind of vote count? Like she, I would say has quicker access to more valuable information, but, uh, but that doesn't necessarily mean that, uh, that she has like a deep edge here, uh, because there does, there reaches a point where as long as you are able to run through the information quick enough, uh, you know, you're both good enough at the questions that you might just
[00:28:27] go to a tiebreaker or it will come down to who makes a silly mistake, uh, in their calculations. And, you know, I, I will say sometimes, sometimes for as much as I've talked about prep, sometimes you can be a little bit over prepped in the sense that if you try to rely on memorization too much, you might've memorized the wrong thing.
[00:28:55] Or more accurately, you might have memorized a thing that you apply incorrectly because you're not doing all of the grunt work to get to the answer. You're relying on a memorized fact. Uh, and, and so you might jump to an incorrect answer, uh, or solution to a problem that, uh, that you could have, that you knew the answer to, if you had gone through the manual steps to get there.
[00:29:20] So, you know, ideally you come up with the quick answer by memory and then you double check by working through the manual way. Uh, but he might not have that much time. And so sometimes it's more valuable just to be able to get to the answer fast enough, depending on how much time you have to answer each question. Either way, I think the bottom line here is Taylor is still, I would say more prepared, better prepared, but Devin's seems to now be prepared enough that he'll probably be fine in this competition.
[00:29:50] We'll have to wait and see. Um, Drew talks to Taylor and has what I think is perhaps the most interesting conversation of the day. Uh, and it's a brief one. And I say Drew talks to Taylor, it's more Taylor talks to Drew because she just kind of goes, Hey, Drew out of the blue, a little bit out of the blue.
[00:30:15] Hey, Drew, if you're sitting next to Devin's in the final two, own your wolf. He's like, I want to say that he's like, what does that mean? But what he actually does is yeah. You don't know what she's talking about. So you know what I mean?
[00:30:40] Like I like she's doing a thing where like, this is, this is, you're not supposed to know what this means yet. She's got a whole explanation. She's ready to go with when he asks her what she means, but instead he pretends to know what she means. And so she has to just continue to explain what she means, even though he already said he knew it's one of those awkward interactions. Anyway, uh, he's like, yeah. And she goes, what I mean is Yash and Lala would always say that Devin's was a wolf in
[00:31:10] sheep's clothing. So own your wolf. You know what I'm saying? To which he says, yeah, because I don't know that he's really listening. And then she says, listen, I respect a wolf more than a wolf in sheep's clothing.
[00:31:40] So what's interesting about this comes back to what I started this update with the, the reason I talked about the vibes of the final three and how it's primarily drew and Taylor talking versus Devin's and Taylor talking. I think that number one, Taylor has always respected Drew's game to, uh, to some degree. Uh, but she's also always respected Devin's game.
[00:32:08] And she obviously respects Devin's game enough that she wants to cut him if she wins part three of the final three HOH, which obviously would imply that she very much would vote for Devin's overdrew in the final two. However, I think that over the last, you know, five days, uh, after being pitched to and threatened by, uh, Devin's and when he's threatening his jury vote, uh, I think that she's come around,
[00:32:36] uh, to, uh, to the idea of like maybe preferring drew to win. Um, and at the very least that means drew has one more vote, right? If drew has Taylor's vote, if he also has melodies vote, that's two, you know, that's not nothing.
[00:33:01] Uh, now could he get more than that? That's tough. You know, I think you'd, you'd have to go for like, could you get Lala? Could you get Barrett? Um, this is against Devin's of course. Uh, I think that if Taylor went to the jury house and had time to talk or even the round table had
[00:33:26] time to talk to Lala, she could talk Lala into voting for, for drew, but we know at the final three, she'll just go straight to the chairs. There won't be much talking with Lala. Uh, in fact, I think they're likely going to be sitting on opposite ends of the jury chairs. Um, so, you know, not going to be, not going to be a lot of opportunity there, but, um, but Hey, you know, uh, it it's, uh, it's interesting.
[00:33:54] It's interesting that, uh, the drew may have may have picked up this vote. It's hard to say exactly when her mind changed or if her mind has changed at all. If she's really just looking for him to own something and then maybe she would consider voting for him. But this, I, this, the fact that she said, I respect a wolf more than a wolf in sheep's clothing certainly implies that she respects drew more than she respects Devin's here in this end game. The fact that, uh, you know, drew made this decision to guarantee himself final two and
[00:34:22] that Devin's is like, I mean, listen, I'm really sort of like interpreting here. This is my own interpretation. But for me, what I, it feels like she's trying to say is that like drew has always been openly wolfish and Devin's has always been somebody that like, you know, hides in sheep's clothing and then makes the move on Rome, makes the move on Camu. And she has respected that.
[00:34:49] Uh, but when he is like coming up to her and then trying to like vague posts and threaten his jury vote where if she doesn't take him and threatened to like campaign against her in the jury, if she doesn't take him, she's like, well, there's that wolf again. Screw this guy. Like he's trying to pretend like he's this nice dad, but then he's going to threaten his jury vote. Uh, and, and, and again, to be clear, this Taylor has said none of these things.
[00:35:19] I am putting these, I am putting these words and thoughts, uh, out there myself. Uh, I doubt she wouldn't, she, she would say it in the same way, even if she did, uh, align with what I'm saying. Um, but, uh, but I think that whereas on the other hand, she's watching drew go back and forth as he has this week, uh, and still give her the time of day and still talk to her, um, in a spot where, um, where devins is, is not talking as much, uh, after the failed pitch.
[00:35:49] And I think she's kind of, I think it might've recontextualized, uh, some of, uh, some of how she saw drew playing the game. He is, he is the wolf, not the wolf in sheep's clothing. And she respects that more than she does the hiding. Um, so again, fully my interpretation there, uh, but interesting to see nonetheless. Now, did drew take any of this in? I don't think so.
[00:36:20] Drew still doesn't even believe that Taylor knows what part three of the final three HOH is. I don't think he believes he should take her advice on, uh, on his speech. She literally tells him like, include this in your speech. Like it could be, uh, a stinger in your speech. Um, which, you know, fair enough. If you don't take that advice, uh, I think that like, it's tough to include a stinger like that if you barely know what it means or, or if it's just not your words to begin with.
[00:36:49] Um, but I think what she's trying to say is you might be able to pick up Yash or Lala's vote if you're able to do something like that. And it's like, ah, probably not. Right. Uh, probably not. Uh, they might not even know what that means. Um, but, uh, but either way, you know, what could happen, right? If Taylor is in the jury, she has a question to ask.
[00:37:16] She could ask, she could set him up for this and then he could use it. Uh, it would be, it would be a great way to ensure Taylor's jury vote to use this line on Taylor's question, right? At the very least. Um, if Taylor asks him about, you know, how did you play the game or something about wolves? He could say like, Hey, Devon's was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I was always the wolf and I'm still sitting here.
[00:37:43] Uh, and that I think would at least lock in Taylor's vote. Right. Um, and Hey, maybe it would resonate a little bit with somebody like Lala. Um, but here's what drew plans to do. He talks to the cameras. He says, he still thinks he's got a shot. He wants to be a big brother winner. Um, and he says his speech might be terrible, but he's hoping that he just crushes all the questions to explain his game.
[00:38:09] And then he can use the speech to, uh, to like compliment every one of the jury members. Um, okay. Interesting tactic. Uh, he says the things about his game he wants to explain are that he's like one, one, the most competitions. They both seem to plan to say this, uh, when a lot of competitions, I guess would be the idea.
[00:38:35] Hey, he wants to say something like, Hey, my first eviction speech was tonight because he never stayed on the block, uh, for a vote up until then. Uh, he wants to say he was part of most of the decisions made in the game, which is not really true. Uh, I would say I would not qualify most there. I would say that he was a part of some of the decisions made in the game.
[00:39:05] Uh, but I would not say most, uh, and he should know this by now, but he could try to pretend and somebody like Yash or Lala, uh, or melody might know this, but Barrett should know that like Barrett was in on more of those decisions than, than Drew was. Uh, so cause, cause, cause they, they ice drew out of so many of the decisions that they made, uh, in the first half of the game.
[00:39:31] Um, so, uh, not the best selling point I would say. Um, and, uh, and what he says he wants, what he wants to say is what you guys, you guys already know all of the stuff about my game. Now what you don't know is the impact that you made on me. I came in as the youngest person on this cast and each and every one of you made an impact on me.
[00:39:57] Uh, and then this is what I'm really worried about because he then says like, uh, he, he kind of like generalizes it as he's talking it through to himself. He's like, and it'll be something like, you know, you, uh, encourage me or like, like he doesn't even know what he's going to say yet. Right. Like he knows he wants to say something about each individual person, but it's coming from a place of having to come up with something.
[00:40:26] So then he goes and he starts going through the list and it's like, you know, Angela, you were always somebody I could go and talk to. And like, yeah, she really inspired me with your competition wins. And it's like, Oh man, he wasn't lying when he opened this camera talk with my speech might be terrible. Uh, because there's definitely a world where this is terrible. Now, listen, it's still rough.
[00:40:52] It's still a rough draft and he could certainly polish this up, uh, over the last couple of days. Um, but you really have to like, obviously complimenting the jury is always a good thing, right? It's, it's a very, it's a very good strategy and a final two speech, but you can't be like so blatantly pandering. You know what I mean?
[00:41:16] Like, uh, it, I, I, I don't know that it will come across correctly. You have to be a little careful about that. Um, but there's a world where, you know, it does something, you know what I mean? Uh, and really like the main thing he needs is that he needs melody and he needs Angela. And so personally, I think he should be focusing the vast majority of his effort on those two,
[00:41:45] the emotional connection that he had to both and, uh, and how much they were both strategically relevant to his journey. Um, because again, like those are the, those are the two key votes that he needs. Um, obviously he knows he has Devin's. He does not know for sure that he has D as much, obviously, but, uh, but he does.
[00:42:09] And, um, and he has an idea that he would, uh, so, um, really just focusing on those two, I think is the primary thing here. Uh, and, and that's the other thing is that like, if you go through one by one and compliment every person, you know, it's, it's harder to, it's harder to feel special, right? It's harder to like, I'm not part of your journey. Everyone was part of your journey. I'm one of every person.
[00:42:36] Uh, like even these other people, they're not voting for you. Why are you so happy about them? And we've also seen this kind of like, I'm the young kid and I really grew through this experience and you guys helped me grow narrative in final two speeches before primarily on survivor. I would say, uh, they don't tend to land very well, uh, especially with an older jury.
[00:43:01] Um, like it's very meaningful to the young person that they grew and were influenced and matured over the course of the season. But, uh, but for the people who have already grown, they're like, yeah, everybody does it. So we'll see. We'll see. Uh, again, none of it likely matters anyway. Um, but, uh, I thought, I thought that was interesting as well.
[00:43:31] All right. Um, that's, uh, that's roughly what I've got. Uh, what do we have any questions, uh, from the chats, uh, here for the penultimate, uh, live feed updates of the season. If Devin's wins seven Oh, did he technically play a perfect game?
[00:43:57] Uh, zero votes cast against every vote cast for, uh, I think that is what people would, uh, define as a, uh, perfect game. I think that's how people define, uh, I can't keep track of it nowadays, but like I said, it's just one of those stats. That's like, does it mean anything in terms of how they played? Not necessarily, but it's, it's one of those fun things to keep track of at the very least.
[00:44:26] Um, any update on the round table? I would assume it has taken place at this point. Uh, I would assume that the Dalton Ross interview would have taken place shortly before the round table. Uh, and then the round table would have happened. So I think it has to have happened by now. It's weird that we don't know who the host was. Um, so who knows, uh, which cast members would I like to deep dive with?
[00:44:56] It's so funny. I get asked this question every season. Um, but, uh, but the answer is always just like whichever, whichever one of them wants to do it. Um, is, is we were down to do or I'm down to do, I guess. Um, don't, I think it's possible the jury concluded at the round table with whoever cuts Devins deserves to win the game. It's, I would say that's the most likely, uh, outcome of the round table, uh, in terms of,
[00:45:25] um, where they're likely to have landed. Who has the least repeatable journey if they win the least repeatable journey? Um, it's a good question. I mean, it depends on how you define repeatable, uh, in a situation where Devins gets D and Angela
[00:45:49] and a one in six shot at a power, uh, along with D and Angela getting one in six shots at powers. Um, I think that his journey is very repeatable because there were a lot of tools that he had to use. Um, but if you stick him on a random season, uh, like no powers, no anything else. Uh, I think that his journey this season obviously is very, not very repeatable because it relied on those tools.
[00:46:18] So it's hard to, which is not to say that he wouldn't do well without the tools, but his journey this season would not be repeated on another season without the tools, but the tools makes his journey a lot more repeatable. So it's a really, that's a really difficult one to, to gauge. Uh, aside from that, I would say Taylor's was more repeatable than Drew's. Drew's required a bit more competition wins, a bit more luck, uh, here and there.
[00:46:43] Whereas, um, whereas Taylor was, uh, more consistently slotted in for an end game, uh, you know, in part because of, uh, her perceived lack of threat, uh, and in part because of her own sort of social maneuvering, uh, I would stick to that. Um, but, uh, but again, it's like, it's, that's not necessarily indicative of like, it doesn't necessarily mean anything if it's repeatable or not.
[00:47:11] Uh, also it like depends on, you know, it can be repeatable, but if it doesn't end in a win, then that's not good. Right. So, um, so, uh, she, uh, did we get a chance to hear Taylor's speech? Yeah. Taylor, I believe Taylor has, uh, I, I mean, from what I was able to, to gather from Taylor's, uh, I got less of a clear, uh, read on what Taylor
[00:47:39] has talked about with her speech. Um, but she mostly talked about like, uh, you know, cut, I think like why she cut Devins, like, um, you know, what her, like she's, again, she's talked about like her biggest play. Uh, I'm trying to remember it cause I did not write it down. Um, but I didn't get as much of a sense of what, uh, of what Taylor had planned to say exactly in the
[00:48:05] same way that I got one from, uh, from Drew and Devins. Uh, but I could be missing something. Let me know if I've, uh, I've missed, if she's practiced like a word for word speech, um, let me know and I'll be sure to, uh, include it tomorrow. Um, let's see any other questions
[00:48:25] before we wrap up. Um, anyway, uh, am I, are my, am I interviewing the final three on Friday? Um, we will likely have interviews on Friday. Uh, but I do not, I could not tell you exactly who, uh, and when it would be quite yet. Um, what are the odds of another Angela crash out of the jury
[00:48:50] round table? I would say hi, no. Um, I'm seeing rumors about jury round table host. Uh, I have been, uh, very off of social media the last few days. So if it was posted, I have not seen it. Um,
[00:49:15] but, uh, but I feel like I haven't seen a lot of people talk about, uh, jury round table host for sure, but I could be wrong. Um, didn't true just play a less loud Tucker game? I don't know if I'd say that. Uh, I, I just see, I just saw Mike Bloom post that Julie has teased at who the round table host
[00:49:41] is, uh, which implies to me that we do not know yet who the round table host is. Um, let's see. The jury round table host is someone that has never hosted before, but has played the game. So there you go. Uh, feeds cut for good some point tomorrow.
[00:50:11] And we will do the update after that. Uh, who's winning America's favorite player? Now that I've seen all the episodes before the finale, I do think that, uh, that drew and devins are the, probably the two likeliest people to win this. Uh, but listen, I've been super surprised by America's favorite player winners in the past. So, uh, I'm probably not the one to ask. Um, Morgan tweeted
[00:50:38] that she filmed something fun. So rumors sparked. All right. Well, uh, listen, you did not hear that here. I am not going to, uh, don't go around saying Taryn thinks that Morgan's the jury round table host, uh, because I have not even seen, uh, that tweet. Um, but, uh, but who knows? Okay. I think that's
[00:51:06] about what we've got. Um, does the winner of the season change your view of the season overall? Uh, I think it usually does now. It's a huge impact on how you look at a season usually. Uh, and I think that it's, it'll be very interesting to see. Uh, I think that each one of them comes with
[00:51:27] their own story, right? Um, if Taylor wins, uh, it like forces a lot of people to look at Taylor's game in a different way. Uh, if drew wins, I think this theme of you'd rather be lucky than good is certainly like really fun and thematic, but I think you also look at Drew's act activity,
[00:51:53] right? Like his level of activity. He was such an active player, which I think will be the, um, the, the, the, the like companion to the, I'd rather be lucky than good narrative because the thing about luck, Oh, I wish I knew this. I wish I knew exactly the quote from my sassy girl. Uh,
[00:52:16] one of my favorite movies. Uh, but the thing about luck is that, uh, the more active you are, the more, you know, chances you put yourself into the more, the, the more opportunity you have to get lucky. Um, and so I think that that would be the story of drew is that like, he was so active and played so hard all season long. He put himself in those positions to get lucky and continue forward.
[00:52:45] Um, and then with, uh, with Devin's the narrative writes itself, right? Like he is a survivor icon comes in. He's got some powers. You might need to talk a little bit about asterisks there. Uh, but, um, but otherwise also played a very active game, a very bold game, uh, and a very entertaining one
[00:53:11] again, making these, these bold choices, uh, and using the powers to their best effect. Uh, and, uh, and, you know, again, also winning comps and getting to, uh, to the end. And I think you also, I think the, the companion to that is, um, is his ability to really just like suck drew in, uh, as, uh, uh, as his like surrogate son and, uh, and convince him to bring him to the final three where he probably
[00:53:39] shouldn't have. Uh, I think that's like, I think those are the, uh, sort of the two companion narratives there for, uh, for Devin's. Um, so, uh, listen, I think no matter which way it goes, I think we're in for, uh, for a fun, fun ride, fun finale. And, um, you know, I'm, uh, I'm very excited to, uh, to, to see where it all goes. It's been very fun to do this with you all,
[00:54:08] all season long. Uh, I've been doing so many streams, more streams this season than I think any other, uh, season because of, uh, uh, my Patreon, I was doing like weekly at the very least, like live feed streams and other stuff. Uh, it's been really, really cool to have that like little community, uh, following along. So, uh, if you want to come and join it, of course you can over
[00:54:35] on my Patreon, patreon.com slash Taren Armstrong. Um, and, uh, tomorrow morning will be the final update. We're going to have a final recap after the finale. I will be streaming tonight for Survivor on Patreon, Twitch, and YouTube. Uh, and then tomorrow night for that finale. But, um, there it is. There it is. That's what I've got for you today. I'll be back tomorrow when the feeds cut. Thank you all so much for joining. I'll see you then.
