[00:04:26] You know, it was a lot, but we made it through it. Okay. We did make it through it. You know what? A couple of points I was like, all right, check my pulse. Let's see. Like, are we okay? Like, you know, I licked a battery at one point to stay awake, but we're all good. And now here with a man who is getting ready to take us through another season of Dancing with the Stars. It's Matt Liguori. Matt, how are you? I'm good. I feel a little set up here with this survivor panel.

[00:04:55] I feel like I'm getting you're outnumbered. Which is good. Hey, we're the, we're the, we're a new alliance. You're with the icons. I'll stick with the icons more than I should as well. So I'm, I'm happy to fulfill that spot. Um, I just wish one of you were cornbread. Yes. Yes. Cornbread reference here in the year of our Lord, 2026. How about that? On the, on, on network television. Yeah. I mean, he wasn't even on network television for his actual show. Right. 80% of the audience had no idea what was going on, but that's right.

[00:05:25] Like, who is that? 80? I think 99%. Sure. Yes. All right. And here with us. And I, I asked him to be here. Uh, he was supposed to be with us on Sunday night. I said, Hey, come, why'd you come on Zingbot night? Give it up for shout out Brandon Donlan. What's up? Uh, I needed a Coke zero during this episode. Oh my God. It felt like drew Zing. It was like, this, this is long, right? You guys, we're still doing this. It's long.

[00:05:54] Um, yeah, I haven't really podcasted a ton about big brother, but I thought tonight was the night to open my bratty mouth. Yes. To talk all about the episode. Yes. Okay. What a long one it was. Yeah. And we'll talk about it here tonight because, um, I wasn't really expecting this coming into this week, but this is the Wednesday night before the eviction. This could be Rick Devins funeral tonight on the podcast. It might be. It really, really might be daddy's going home. It may well be.

[00:06:24] Barrett says, Hey, I'm if Rick Devins is on the block, I'm going to vote against him. D says, uh, stupid, stupid, stupid. And so Rick could be walking into an ambush on Thursday night. And of course we will have that for you coming up on our Thursday night eviction recap. And that's going to be a good one because tomorrow night, join us as we will have a very special guest, uh, fresh off of episode 1000.

[00:06:52] Brittany Haynes will be with us on Thursday night for the eviction recap. So should be a very interesting night, no matter what happens on Thursday with the episode. And then on Thursday morning, uh, Oh, of course a summer of Stein, but, uh, what do we got? A Haley exit interview. What? Shout out Haley. If you're watching. I don't think she's watching. I don't think she's here.

[00:07:21] No, I can't wait to hear what she has to say. Haley, let us know if you're in the chat. Cause she's out Asia. She's in the wild. That's what I heard. And then I thought maybe it was a fake account. So I didn't, you know, you can't believe everything you see these days. So originally we were supposed to talk to Haley on Monday and, uh, we asked on the podcast, like, is she, are they going to keep her in sequester until Thursday now? So I think that they said, well, listen, we're not going to, we can't put it up with Haley in four more days.

[00:07:50] Is this like unprecedented territory? She's the first person to do a big brother exit interview, having had a now phone for a couple of days. Is that right? I'm sure it's happened at other points with people who have been out of the house and they've been like been for a couple of days. They couldn't do exit press or whatever the day they got out. I want to say that it happened at least once in BB 24, uh, with, with, what about Riley? Or did he just never get exit?

[00:08:17] He never did exit press that he was just that he was just like on that. Like some, somebody like reached out to him and did, he did like a long interview with somebody, but I don't think he ever did any official exit press. Well, now that she said time out of the house, she'll probably have looked through some information things went and she should be very like informed and be able to speak about so many different, different issues. So talk to Chuck. He can fill her in. Sure. Sure.

[00:08:46] Chuck might be out with, uh, Matt Klotz. He's on that boat. He's on the boat. He's on the boat. He's on the boat. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, uh, it was a, uh, a long episode tonight. We got a lot of stuff to get through. I guess we should talk about the end of the road for Haley. It was a little anti-climactic, very anti-climactic concerning that we thought it was gonna happen on Sunday. We waited until Wednesday. Haley ends up going out.

[00:09:12] I mean, ultimately I think that if there was a story for the night, it does seem like they broke Barrett when they voted out Mallory on Thursday night. And now, uh, Barrett has gone rogue and we saw one of his actions tonight where he sends Yash and Lala out to go take on Haley and he doesn't feel bad about it. Uh, Asia, where are you on Barrett these days?

[00:09:42] Look, I'm glad he stayed in the house long enough to get like come to this realization. And like wake up because just as a fan, I could imagine if he were voted out before he had reached that point, he would just be regretting it forever. Just regretting following after the icons. But now he's made it to jury and now he can try to right his wrongs, even though it's like super hard at this point with such limited people in the house.

[00:10:10] And so I'm glad that, you know, it took something for him to wake up, but he had to lose a crucial ally in order for that to happen. So, uh, I mean, it's nice to see these like sassy DRs from him. Yeah. Braddy DRs from Barrett. Yeah. And I mean, Braddy is like, uh, almost like if you rearrange the letters of Barrett, you can get to Braddy. Matt, he talked about himself and he said to Melody at one point of, Hey, just because

[00:10:38] I played the way a certain way pre jury doesn't mean I'm going to play the game that way after the jury. Yeah. I almost don't want to even phrase it as he woke up, which I know is like what we're all saying, but I don't know that he was ever fast asleep to begin with. I feel like there were some people, uh, I'm going to put myself in that group that were feeling like there could have been a chance. This was all very intentional. We were prepared to have egg on her face. If later into the game, he was still doing the same thing.

[00:11:06] But I mean, as we didn't get to see, cause we were all busy at rehab con last week, as he started to do this whole, like, Oh, I'm actually going to take the next step in the game. Um, but it's all happening now. And it's, it's been very exciting to kickstart the back half of the game. I'll push back on that a little bit. I feel like it was only a week ago that him and drew were like, yeah, this is the right plan. We should go with the icons. Like they were high-fiving. This is not that like, if he was, if he was like just holding, first of all, he knows that

[00:11:36] Andrew is going to run back to the icons and tell them everything that he said. And also I just felt like the beginning of the season, he didn't know what powers that the icons had. And now he knows that they, he knows what they had. He knows they're all out there. And he just has a little bit more room to maneuver, uh, without having that fear. So I, that's what I've felt like he's been trying to go. I think you're giving him way too much credit. I think he has risen from the dead and he now realizes he has to start playing.

[00:12:04] Isn't it enough that like Mallory, he's live here now. Like we don't have to give him credit that it was all intentional to the, like, this was all like, he meant to do everything the way it's turned out. Well, I think that the super fan model, the thing that like, as a super fan, if you're on Twitter, you kind of know that you do have to sleep the first half of the game and then turn it on, which I thought like two weeks ago, you turn it on. But I guess right now we don't know that Barrett is good at this part yet.

[00:12:31] Like he's had a good week, but I'm curious to see if he gets like the HOH itis that most people experience in the first half of the game and then maybe overcome it or know how to deal with it. But I don't know, like he could, he could self-sabotage very quickly now that he started playing. Mm hmm. The bratty DRs are really good though. Like the whole, sorry that happened to you, D I'm so sorry you lost your friend. Like, it's good thing you're having Brittany on tomorrow because you know, from one confessional diva to another. Yeah.

[00:13:00] He's really taken on this whole new persona after that. Was he fighting this much to keep Mallory last week? I mean, it's in the, in the 11th hour he was, but when she was, when D was saying, I'm going to put her up on the block. Did he push back this much? No, it felt like he was fighting just in the one scenario that drew stayed on the block. There was no, no alternative alternative plan.

[00:13:31] If drew one, the blockbuster, which is why we get, it was just devastating. He already knew the fate when drew on the blockbuster. And now it's like, I think now Barrett is getting to play as, as the Barrett he thought he would play as what coming into this game. Listen, it, he got here eventually. And so that's good for him. The other breakout star here of the back half of the season is Yash.

[00:14:01] And he's been so fun in the diary room. He's, he has really great takes on everything with drew. Brandon, where are you on Yash as a character? I think Yash is quite funny. I like, I like how much he's using bro. I like how he distinguishes between bro and bruh, depending on his mood. I think that's awesome. Then there's also another level of brr. He'll do brr.

[00:14:31] He'll do your boy, which I'm a huge fan of your boy. Um, I am excited to see like there in some seasons of all of these shows, there is like an adversary that you didn't see coming that kind of swoops in at the 11th hour. And I think we met ours. Um, what I was so curious about watching this was I thought they yada yadded over Yash volunteering to go in that last challenge. Yash the Yash the. I know that they said it. It seems like in the last episode right at the end, but I'm, I'm surprised they didn't make a bigger deal of that.

[00:15:02] It was put him in a pretty risky spot. It got lost in the cliffhanger in the two hours between Sunday night and Wednesday. We forgot about that. Um, Yash also has a very fun, like diary room posture that also is like, is pretty unique. He's like, Oh, everyone's putting our legs up. Okay. We're doing it. Yeah. No, I got a leg up right now. Like he's, I like, you know, it works. That's new. We haven't had that in a while, but a lot of the, uh, like the old school seasons, they

[00:15:30] are comfortable on that diary couch and we need to bring that back. Yeah. Well, it's like, you know, on survivor, they have the unorthodox, like confessional locations that they've largely gotten away from. I, if you want to sit weird in the DR, I'm all in. You should find your style. Find what makes you feel comfortable. He's comfortable. He's relaxed in the diary room. Yeah. Yeah. Yash is growing on me. He really is growing on me. And I know Zingbot came at him for his hair. Yeah. But my girlfriend and I agree.

[00:15:59] Yash, he, he's a looker. If he cut, if he cut his hair, he could probably get more coconut than his DMs. That's his signature look now. Yeah. And he wants kiwi, Asia. That's Kamu who wants coconuts. He wants kiwi. Don't get it twisted. Don't send the wrong fruit to the wrong guy. Don't send the wrong fruit. Yeah. And why is it, he calls his hair lettuce? Yes. Okay. What's going on there? This came up in the, in the zings for Yash. This was. He calls it his lettuce.

[00:16:30] Makes me not want to have a salad ever again. Do we know, did the house guests know about the diarrhea lettuce? No. They know about that. I don't think they know about that either. They don't even know about Dolly Parton. They don't know. No. I, I thought that they got a warning. I remember like a lyric clip saying we were told not to eat the lettuce. But maybe I'm making, maybe that's a, that's a Mandela effect. They said everyone calls hair lettuce. It says Gregory Sims in the chat. Hair lettuce. I have four people here that would beg to differ.

[00:18:30] I've seen 20 clips of him picking her up in different, different variations of the pickup. Sometimes it's, it's, it's, was there a Jubilee video of, can you pick this person up? Did he do that before he went on the show? He did many Jubilee videos. We got to make a call. I got to go to the bathroom really quick. Let's call. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:18:51] But I thought that that was a really fun, uh, part of the episode where, okay, they're trying to find the replacement nominee and melody that everybody in the crossover is trying to pitch him on melody and melody. It's like, like, I'm not going to let this guy put me on the block. And here comes melody. Now, Matt, did we know this week that because I had heard like, okay, well, okay, melody and drew, they were up all night flirting. Did it, is it, does she not even like drew?

[00:19:21] I mean, that's been the confusing part all season, obviously that she's got maybe something going on back at home. So she hasn't leaned all the way in. Uh, there's definitely, and I feel like she's talking about it more right now than she ever has before in the way of I'm really trying to play him. But like when they are up all night, it still does seem genuine. So I can like give her credit that it's a little bit of both. Um, but like, also if you told me that just a month from now, we're getting like the, you know, the photo shoot, we know the photo shoot that happened after big brother.

[00:19:49] Like if we got that photo shoot, like I wouldn't be that surprised. Asia, this is turning into a very fun, like, will they, won't they, because that maybe they don't even like each other. You know, I was enjoying the yearning earlier in the season. Cause it was like, you don't know what's going to happen. Like, okay, do they like each other? Do they not? I think now it's very clear. They like each other enough. I think Drew likes her more than she likes him.

[00:20:14] I feel like that's the dynamic and she likes him enough to flirt with him all night, but I don't think she likes him enough to pursue anything outside of the game. Yeah. Brandon, I'm like more invested now that I think she kind of low key hates him. It's better TV if she hates him. It's not Shmoopy. I hate Shmoopy, but this is like the opposite of Shmoopy. I'm standing now. I mean, I've seen the feed clips. You've all seen the feed clips.

[00:20:41] I am so convinced that she does like, I would be so impressed if she hates him. Um, and I wish that, I mean, if she hated him, you'd think that she would hammer more on that in the diary room. Um, but I, as a, as a person on my couch, I, I, I think there are real sparks happening. I think the sparks are flying. I mean, it's just a little bit of like the way that he plays the game.

[00:21:03] I don't think is the most attractive quality, uh, that you're watching him in this environment where he is just a total submissive to the icons. And it's just like, this is the man you want to pursue. I mean, look, I get he's, you know, young and cute, whatever, but like, not giving off the most like confidence within his own energy. She called his nominations embarrassing. Yeah. She has, look, she has the ick.

[00:21:27] I believe she has the ick like purely by his game, but flirting with him is something to do when there's nothing to do. So I don't like, you know, there is a thin line between love and hate, but I don't think she despises the man. You're the expert. You podcast about all these dating shows. Uh, is the ick reversible? Woo. It's hard. I think that the ick is only reversible.

[00:21:54] If the issuer of the ick puts in the work, like you gotta be actively putting in the work, actively putting in the work is putting up all three icons. Right. Like he would not do that. That'll un-ick anybody. Yeah. So. Yeah. Ick Devins. Ick Devins. What I think contributes to the ick is he's not, in my perception, he's not owning it. Like when they talk, he's like very waffly about like, yeah, I did this, but I thought X, Y, Z.

[00:22:23] Like, I think that she seems like she has the personality type where if he were much more direct about it, she would respect it more. Um, I think his communication is bad. Yeah. He voted Mallory out. Absolutely. Like go back to just a week ago, uh, whenever that was last Thursday that he, he said, I vote to evict your best friend. Right. Like, so she was not happy. He has like two speeds, which one is like, what if I put you on a block? Like, like, like joking. That's like, that's not funny.

[00:22:52] Or like, hamana, hamana, hamana. I don't know what to say. Hamana, hamana, hamana word salad. Yeah. And it's not working. Uh, it's, it's really not. I mean, they're in a good situation coming out of this week for the two of them. Uh, I mean, we can talk about at some point if we were going to that, there was a point where she really was a consideration to go on the block. Maybe not the top consideration. And obviously she doesn't end up there. Uh, but imagine a world where this week played out that he said, you know, I just got to put you up there, Melody.

[00:23:22] She said she would have done things to him that she couldn't. Well, yeah, this is, this is. If Drew does put me up, I'm going to do things to him that I'm not legally allowed to talk about on TV. Whoa. Apparently that's what Devin's is also saying in Twitter. Uh, yeah. Fan fiction. Yeah. I'm going to do things, uh, not allowed to talk about on television. I don't think, I feel like you're not even allowed to say that. In your bratty mouth. Yeah. Like that's, it's still a threat. Can she, can she talk about it on the live feed?

[00:23:52] I'd like to hear what it is. Mm-hmm. Will we ever hear it? If it's on the live feed. Mm-hmm. That's interesting to me. It'll be in the comedy. I mean, Rob, think back to like when Ron Funches was done with the traitors and he went into his comedy routine. Oh, maybe, yeah. If you go see Melody do her stand up, uh, that she'll, she'll do. She's got like a, she'll do like a good like 15 minutes. Hopefully Angela will think it's funny of her time on Big Brother. That'll be, that'll be pretty good.

And this could be the fall of Devins, ultimately, where nobody thought it was gonna end like this on Drew's HOH. Drew is feeling like, hey, Rick Devins doing me a solid. If I put Dee up, she would've came back with a vengeance. But Papa Devins is always looking out for his son.

[00:27:05] He's just trying to make my life easier. It's worth it. We gotta cut that. Yeah, don't call him Papa Devins. Not this week. Give it a week and then get it, but not this week. Yeah. Especially the Zingbot already called him old. And Papa Devins makes him sound like he's like 97 years old. Papa Devins. Right. He's 42, right? Something like that. I'm like, I'm closer to Devins age than Drew. Right, right.

[00:27:35] I guess this is the first time that a man is getting the Papa treatment of like, you know, so many women on these shows get like, oh, Mama J, Mama this, Mama that. He's getting Papa Devins. Exactly. And it's funny because it's just like, usually what the Mama roles that they tag on to people. It's like what they do for them in the house. Yeah. Devins doesn't do anything. He just jokes with them like a father and a son.

[00:28:05] Right? Like, it's not like he's mowing the lawn or barbecue. I could see him mowing the lawn though. If he could, he would. It's a fake lawn, but I could see him pretending to mow it. No, but he does role play as their dad all day long. All they do is make jokes like they are just like living in the same house, like going on family vacation, making those jokes. Just like the role play has gotten out of hand. I can't, I can't listen to it anymore.

[00:28:33] All right, so here's Rick Devins that he talks about this idea of going up on the block. So any Big Brother fan knows that it's the dumbest thing in the world to volunteer yourself up as a pawn. It always goes wrong. Right. You're almost definitely going to get evicted, but I think it could work for me. And I'll give Rick Devins credit on one thing, that it's a great arrested development joke that he is citing here at this point. So I'll give him some props for the reference.

[00:29:04] Is he doing this whole thing for the reference? Because not quite sure. No, I think the confessional, but you know, that's the thing. It's like his confessionals are all still silly and joking and he doesn't realize. Yeah, you're in danger, girl. I do. I will say, I think during this confessional, he looked near tears. I think this is what, I think the prompt of like, what did you do this for? I think that's when it hit him that this was a bad idea. He looked very worried to me in this confession. You think so?

[00:29:33] I didn't realize he had volunteered so early, like even pre-noms, right? Because like, feet were off. Feeds were off. Yeah. So we didn't know that he had, I mean, he didn't, he didn't even give Drew a chance to think. But Asia, I was talking about this on, I did earlier before all this, this is a long Big Brother night for me because I did a podcast right before this with Taryn over on Patreon, the BB Mailbag. We talked about Devin's volunteering to go up on the block.

[00:29:57] Actually him volunteering to go up as an initial nom and backdooring Yash actually is like a much better plan. Like being, volunteering to be the replacement nom was, was much worse where if they needed an initial nom to go up on the block and say, okay, put, put, put me up with Lala and Taylor. And then we use the veto and take me down and put Yash up so Yash can't play the veto is actually, uh, if you were going to do this, that's the better version.

[00:30:27] He said, I'm still an option. I could still go up. And I said, what the hell did you just say? Yeah. Was that though part of the original pitch that didn't make the television show was, was exactly about what you said? Or was the plan just, we don't know. There were no, there were no feeds. He, he was still down after the veto was won by Yash. He was still down to go up. He definitely wasn't like pushing and saying like, you have to put me up. Like this makes the most sense.

[00:30:53] Uh, but it was just an option that he put out there and he mentioned it way too many times. I mean, one time is way too many times. Uh, but two, three or four times it was mentioned and nobody else was volunteering. Yeah. And, but, but this was another chance for drew to get that. It, it, the ick level reduced with melody by making his own decision. D put you up. Mm-hmm. I don't care what D says, like, oh, don't put me up.

[00:31:21] Like she, he, cause he, he even lightly said it to her. Like, oh, what if I put you up? She's like, don't even think about it. And that was enough for him to be like, oh, okay. Well, I guess I have to put up Devon's because he volunteered. So what else am I supposed to do? And it's like, no, so easy to say I'm getting my lick bag. Just the last time he made a move this risky, there was a million dollars on the line that, that another million dollars could have been added to the prize pot. If things went well with a risky Rick Devon's decision.

[00:31:49] But today it was either I go on the block and I possibly go home or I go on the block and, and maybe I, I, I, I don't know. I'm not following the line of thought. So, so what is the reason? Like what, what, what is the hypothesis of why he wanted to do this? Is it just, he's, is he bored? Is he, is he looking for a, he says in the episode, it's a resume move, but like, is it? Because it's like you put yourself in a bad situation and got out of it. Nobody put that on you.

[00:32:18] I think the way that he is feeling like, uh, Rick Devons, the way he plays these games is that he would do like anything for his allies. I think he feels maybe like in a fatherly way. Hey, we, we just, we like, we just made these guys, uh, turn against Mallory. They saw what it did to Barrett. I can't make Drew put melody up on the block. He's not going to do that.

[00:32:47] I can't even ask him for that as a favor to this guy. I'll go sit on the block that I could win the blockbuster. They're not going to vote me out. It's like, I'm, I'm, I'm holding the Alliance together by doing this because this could, that if we lose drew, we lose the Alliance. And so that he's never going to still work with us. If we put melody on the block, that's the charitable explanation for why Rick is going to do this.

[00:33:15] And I think that Rick feels like, Hey, that when you're in an Alliance, you make sacrifices. Unfortunately for Rick, uh, D thinks about this. Devin, I knew you were a silly man, but I didn't think you were actually stupid. Boy, Brandon, your friend loves to throw out the S word. Uh, she, she, yeah. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

[00:33:38] Because you know, I think back to survivor 50 and, and she was working with Charlie and that was the same word she used to describe Charlie of that. Hey, that Charlie, I, that I, I thought you were smart, but it turns out you're stupid. I thought she said this about Jonathan also. Is that possible?

[00:34:01] She may have, but Charlie was the one that really stuck with me that she was calling, uh, that, that Charlie, cause nobody would call Charlie stupid. Charlie is a very smart player. Yeah, it's, it's tough. I think that she is probably, and of course she can't, I think she's been talking about it with Angela today is I think that she's processing that this move. Like she, she is, she, it's the apple that you're not supposed to bite.

[00:34:28] Like she sees Rick on the, on the nomination chairs and like, we have to, why wouldn't we? Um, and I think she's processing that, like, it could be me in a week. It could be me in two weeks. I think that what they've built for now a month, Rick played such a great first half of the game. That's all going to be like turned to, turned to dust in a, just a matter of, you know, a couple of days. Mm-hmm.

[00:34:50] Asia, do you think it bothers D that you, that he's closer with the guys that he's doing this for like to make, to make Drew happy? Where I think that maybe she would have told Drew, hey, this is, it is what it is. You have to put Melody up on the block. Why are we patronizing this guy? Yeah, I think it, his relationship with his sons are a threat to her game. Because if you think about it, what, what does D have outside of the icons?

[00:35:20] That's like as solid as what she sees with Barrett and Drew and Devens. So it's kind of like, hey, if we break that up, you know, then that, that is, you know, a better path for her. Because D is playing for herself, not for the crossovers, which is the, the best way to play. Like you didn't know, I mean, besides, you know, D and Devens, obviously, you don't know these people going into the game, right? So you should be looking out for yourself.

[00:35:47] But I think this, this may be where the idea or even having the experience of playing survivor for Devens and like looking out for his alliance. It's like you put your own self in harm's way by being on the block. They're not, you, who, who cares if you have the numbers? Like they could see, oh shoot, we could just get him out and we can, it could be an even house again. So I really hope, you know, I don't know.

Have you gone in a confessional and called someone else stupid? I mean, it feels like it's got to be a pretty good release of frustrations. It's very possible. Uh, so we'll, we'll see what happens in the blockbuster and hopefully that he's going to be giving it his all. We'll find out. [00:40:34] Like even Taylor's was like biblical, which I can't imagine. I can't imagine JCM is going to love the, right? It was, it wasn't, you could have slotted anybody in that. Like it wasn't about Taylor. You know what I mean? Like it just felt like lazy writing. She reads the Bible a lot. Oh, is that what it was? That was, it was about her reading the Bible. I thought they were just making like a bit. It was just referencing. Well, cause like her. Yeah. Cause like her and Kamu are like the like known Christians in the house.

I think they might've spent all the time, uh, having the zing bot writers write zings for like George Washington that they didn't have time to. Yeah. Well, we'll talk about the comp. [00:41:25] Um, that I had to go back and watch it like four times to understand what the zing bot was even saying, uh, which was, does a cat live here? Because I think it hacked up a big ball of dirty hair with two massive slices of pepperoni. Like what, how did we get to this? I just love that. He opened his shirt to show the example. He's a good sport about this. It is surprising.

[00:41:55] He was wearing a shirt to be completely fair. Uh, during zing bot. Yeah. I, so I actually had seen a tweet before we knew what one week, what the veto was. I saw a tweet that was like, Oh, the veto was the pick of punishment. And for Drew or for Barrett, it is to wear a shirt for the rest of the week. And I was like, Oh, I wonder what shirt he has to wear. And then my girlfriend was like, no, it's cause he never wears a shirt. It's a joke. Cause that really, Oh, okay. Yeah. So it's like his chest here is probably all people know about.

[00:42:24] Well, these writers wrote the zing. He leaned back in that diary room chair and said, take a good look. Yeah. Soak it in. On a scale of one to 10 of hairy chest. I'd say that Barrett is like a four or five. Uh, like really? Yeah. He doesn't have like a full on like sweater. Yeah. I think it's just cause it stops, but it's pretty hairy up top. I guess so.

[00:42:52] But some people are like insulated. Like they're wearing the stuff you put in your wall. Like that stuff. You know what I mean? Um, he doesn't have that. Chest lettuce. Yes. Thank you. They don't get zings. They write all the material. People would be mad if they didn't sing the rest of the cast. That's brilliant. That's brilliant. That's brilliant. All those things are about one person.

[00:43:45] The house guests write the zings. Yeah. And then it's anonymous and they let zing bot say it, but it's written by all the house guests. I will say it was sad that Haley did not get zinged. Like, could we, could we get zing bot to release the Haley zings? Is unlocked this week? Will she be there? Uh, unlocked is this week. I don't, I think they've released her back into the wild. I don't, I don't think she'll be there. She could still be there. We don't know.

[00:44:14] I guess they're probably going to spend more time with, uh, with, with Devin's. I'm assuming he's evicted. What would her zing, what would her zing be about? Just like how she's had a hard week every week or? Yeah. She had a hard week every week. Uh, and so did everybody who had to watch her on the show. I know who's had a hard week. That's the joke. Zing. Yeah. Rick Devins did have a tough night. In addition to, uh, maybe a few rough puns in the diary room. Uh, this is Devin stating.

[00:44:43] Dee called him stupid. The, the zing bot went so hard on Rick Devins, uh, and said that Kamu, uh, isn't here anymore, uh, to beat up the old leathery heavy bag. Uh, oh wait, that's just Rick Devins wrinkly old loser. Yeah. Loser feels like it didn't have to be in there. We were so fine without loser.

[00:45:13] Yeah. What happened? Also he wasn't, zing bot wasn't punctuating like, like end of sentence. Space zing. He was like, you know, heavy loser zing. Like he was right at the end of the, of the thing, which I thought was interesting. Normally he like, wait, he gives it a beat and then he zings. I didn't know we were on Rick Devins for not using enough sunscreen. Yeah.

[00:45:40] Speaking of Kamu, Kamu was the one that got the bad sunburn a couple of weeks back. His whole face was like bright red. Yeah. Which I didn't realize we hadn't seen the intro, uh, sequence in a while. And they showed it tonight. Yes. And I saw Kamu and I was like, whoa, he got like, it was just completely different in the house. Yeah. We really had to pad this two hour episode that we needed the intro back for the first time. I think since episode three of the season. Yeah. I saw Ashley, she popped up. I said, Oh, whoa.

[00:46:10] Got the whole review here. You have to see Barrett's hair shorter. Drew, no facial hair, some baby fat in his cheeks. He's grown up in that house. You know, I was, I, I was tuned out. I would love to go back and look at the intro to see where we are from now. So, okay. Um, we had a poem for melody where the punchline was, uh, that, uh, her comp skills are a tragedy. The only thing that's worse is her comedy.

[00:46:37] That'll be a lot of, uh, a lot funnier to everybody when they get out of the house and see all the clips. Uh, cause she's not making a lot of jokes in the house. She's just kind of sitting on couches. She was talking to Mallory, but now she's not. Yeah. Okay. Um, Angela seeing you back. What a, what a milf Angela. She was like rebuking that at first. She was like, no, no, no. It's like, no, this is probably a good thing. A moron I'd like to forget. Eh, not a good thing. Yeah.

[00:47:07] It seems like of all the things. Kind of funny. Yeah. It's kind of funny, but it's, this is, this, this is, this is fricking Angela. Like that's all we've got for Angela. Yeah. Again, it feels like it was written for somebody else. It feels like you could slot anybody into it, which is not, does not make a good joke. Yeah. Um, I, my kids were very excited about the Zingbot tonight and my younger son, Anthony was especially excited for the Zingbot. I said, what was the best Zing?

[00:47:38] He said, twinkle, twinkle, little star. It was, I mean, they, it was so good. They, they released it earlier today so that we could, uh, get a head start on watching it. And look, I love a Zingbot tune. Mm-hmm. Can I download it? Yeah. Um, Asia, what do you think? Now the Zingbot is always in people's business just as recently as last year was weighing in on Morgan and Vince.

[00:48:02] Uh, but here does out that Melody will not kiss Drew, that he is in the friend zone and Drew will likely die alone. Look, okay. That last part, harsh, but I will say this feels too revealing because you know, you're in this house where perception is reality. Everyone already has the perception that there is showman. Right. And so they kind of see them as such.

[00:48:30] And for Zingbot to out that they are not, and that they have not even kissed, you even see D and the DR talking about they haven't kissed, which I was like, okay, now maybe there is a crack. We can like, there, there's an end. Like we, we, they're not as tight as we, we think like, uh, who lyric and Rome at the beginning of the season. Mm-hmm. So I, I thought, I thought that was kind of revealing. But you know, I think that the Zingbot is progressive.

[00:48:57] I think he's come a long way because I think that once upon a time, Brandon, that the Zingbot would have, that Melody Zing would have been about how, uh, Drew is in the friend zone. And then Drew Zing would have been about his hair is so cringe. Uh, I think that like that, that she got her own separate Zing. That was not just about the relationship. I thought you were going to say that, that Melody Zing would be about the, the boyfriend at home because they didn't, they do that on big brother 16. Yeah.

[00:49:28] That's the, that's the progressive Zingbot. I think we've, we've come a long way. He's come a long way. The Zingbot. Is it good? Boyfriend.com? We're not doing that anymore. Yeah. Um, also then the, uh, Lala, that was kind of mean also about, uh, that it's no wonder you were desperately clinging to the wall because you're used to desperately clinging to your youth. She did not like that. She, uh, yeah, she did. She did not like that.

[00:49:58] You missed that one. I mean, the jokes on us. Were we not all sitting here on cast reveal day? Like, Oh, look, it's like a five year old that's entering the house. She's how old? Yeah. 58. Yeah. So she looks amazing. Zingbot. Yeah. Yeah. And then he's age shaming quite a bit. The Zingbot. And then finally we got the Yash.

[00:50:24] Uh, he had the bad haircut punishment, which great joke. We called this one like eight weeks ago. Yeah. All over Twitter. Zingbot. Mm hmm. You gotta do it. Yeah. Okay. But then we had like a interminable, uh, household competition of watching that such a long segment of the Zingbots time traveling through history.

[00:50:53] I think that maybe was it? I guess it was last summer cause that was the mastermind. I think that the Zingbot fought the masterminds like on the studio city. Oh yeah. The Radford lot. So I guess this is like a new, like the Zingbot is going like off and doing all these things and we, we get like, you know, 10 minutes of Zingbot montage. Honestly, we're on Paramount plus like there's kid shows there.

[00:51:22] Are we anywhere near a world that we could do like a Zingbot kid show? You think the Zingbot should work with children? I mean, yeah. Like lightly roast them. Um, but also like save the world and go on adventures. Like Zingbot goes on bluey. Yeah. With Paw Patrol. Rob just said his, his son was like, that was, uh, yeah. Maybe, maybe tweens, uh, that's what the Zingbot is for. We have to put Zingbot in like the ghost commercials or like that, that I, that's, I feel

[00:51:52] like an easy integration. Yeah. Have him roast Mark Harmon from NCIS. Sure. Uh, but the Zingbot is out of pocket. What do you miss female aviator of all time? Soon Zingbot. Stop it. I guess. Too soon. Too soon. She was just a kid. Oh, I guess. Too soon.

[00:52:18] But usually I like playing along with these comps, especially we got a clear visual of it, but it went on so long. I was like, forget it. But I did notice. Did y'all notice the Lake Zing? Yes. Uh, you know, I didn't notice it at first, but Sam, can we bring that up of, uh, the topical humor for the Zingbot? Although I guess no stranger to the topical humor.

[00:52:45] There was a whole like arc in the, uh, like the 2017 of, uh, that Zingbot was running for president. Uh, and then, uh, and then Zingbot was like a corrupt president. That was, that, that was like a three season arc. Do you remember this Brandon? I really took to that. Yeah. I really liked it. He was like the president of Planet Zing. And it was like very, it was like, uh, very, very corrupt.

[00:53:11] But then yeah, the, uh, Zingbot has renamed, uh, uh, I believe Lake Ontario to now Lake Zing. Yeah. It really stood out to me cause we were in Milwaukee. We were so close to all the lakes, all the great lakes. Yeah. Okay. Um, there was so much in this episode, uh, but did, did any of it matter? Uh, what else, what else stood out to you, Matt?

[00:53:38] I mean, uh, we're, while we're on the competition, I was really enjoying, uh, the set that they had cause they were talking about like Taylor had a very funny, uh, confessionals, uh, saying that she hates going to museums with her kids. Cause she's constantly having to tell them don't touch anything. Cause I mean, look, was I the kid that was touching everything that was being told not to touch everything? Maybe. Um, but they made museums look fun. I haven't had fun at a museum. Sorry. This might not be a good take, but I haven't had fun at a museum since I was going there on field trips. Brandon's giving me the thumbs up.

[00:54:08] Um, but this made me want to go to a museum again. Wow. Look, I was bummed that I didn't go to the art museum in Milwaukee last week. I didn't, didn't have just, I walked so fast through them. I'm like, surely I can get out of here faster. Yeah. I heard in Milwaukee, they had the, uh, national bobblehead museum. They did. Yeah. I passed by it. I saw it. Yeah. There's a Jeff Probst bobblehead in there. Is it really?

[00:54:35] Um, I thought it was weak sauce that one of the questions in the HRH competition was what was the last number on the serial number on the dollar bill. That was terrible. What are we doing? I know. It took me the entire time for the, the money to be up there to count how much money it was. And I said, surely that's going to have something to do with it. Yeah. You have to do math. So it was just like, um, it was random at that point.

[00:55:00] The HOH comp ended with Drew and Melody and Yash fighting for the tiebreaker. And it was an interesting scenario where Yash is potentially going to win an HOH where he can't put the icons up on the block. Was that a throw from Yash in the HOH competition? Yeah, definitely. Yeah. I feel like he was, uh, saying that he was doing that, which made plenty of sense. Honestly, I never thought about this possibility.

[00:55:28] I was like, no, he needs to win this HOH so that he can get through a week where he would have to nominate other people, but he's taking it from the approach of let me make sure that other people would, that would nominate the icons when instead, which obviously could work if those people would win. He tries, but he's got a 50, 50 chance here of it landing on Melody and it just doesn't land that way. Yeah. Asia, what do you think? Does Yash need to just, uh, get through this HOH and, and burn through it?

[00:55:57] I think at this point, no, I think if the, if this, this week would have been the week to go ahead and get it out of the way. Now it's like, you're too close to it. Not mathematically making sense anymore to where you can't have to put up at least one icon. So you might as well just, you know, not continue to throw it, but kind of do what he did, like put himself in a good position. Uh, but yeah, I don't, I don't think he needs to rush to get the HOH.

[00:56:26] I'm trying to think it through. It's like two more. Like he could have, so he could have had this week. Uh, he could have put up, uh, drew, but then, but then I guess he's also got to put up now. What? Melody. And Barrett. Barrett, right. And then, and then the icons are going to vote out, uh, Melody in that spot. And if he needs a renom, it's one of his closer allies. It's Lala or Taylor. Yeah. Yeah. So he can't win for the rest of the time that he's in the house now.

[00:56:55] Well, no, if he, if he, if he does it next week, he could put up, uh, three people. Right. Well, depending if Devins is there or not. True. Uh, I mean, I, I think that if, and that's like this scenario where his only options are Lala or Taylor, what if Lala or Taylor won veto and pulled someone off? Well, no, then it's only one reno. That's why I think we're only one week away. Yeah. Next week. Yeah. Mathematically.

[00:57:22] If he put up three people that weren't the icons and then the fourth person left off the block, use the veto on one of those three nominees. Mathematically. He would only have the icons left to put up. Okay. So then he can do it. It would be. Yeah. If, if all other, uh, well only if Devins stays, cause if Devins is gone, then there's five people that are non icons. He could put up. All right. Or anything else from the two hour episode of big brother.

[00:57:48] We can't sleep on Barrett's accent as a host. Yes. Okay. We didn't even talk about the veto comp. Uh, so he put on his old prospector accent. And I think that's any accident he sees when he leaves his home in Austin, Texas, like that you hear that everywhere. So I felt like it was so fitting that you forgot he was putting on an accent. And I think that's the theme with Barrett and any of these costumes. It looks like he owns that outfit.

[00:58:17] I don't know what it is about Barrett, but he just fits all these eras. Yeah. Yeah. He's a big overall guy. He loves an overall. Yeah. I don't take him to be like a big fan of the show as much as like, you know, your, your Barrett's of the world, but he feel, I felt like he had that competition, like the strategy and moving the balls around like down. Yash. I'm sorry. We're talking about Barrett, but yeah. Um, just like a dominant performance. Mm hmm. He had the right strategy, which was big balls first.

[01:01:42] Let's now segue and talk about what's happening on the live feeds as we get ready to talk about tomorrow's big eviction. So let's check in on the votes and so much more. I got some negative feedback on Sunday when I said, Hey, it's not even worth it from this episode. Let's just go right into the spoilers. And we didn't play the song and I didn't have the buzzer. And people did not like it.

[01:02:09] And so I will not make that mistake again tonight. And we will now listen to the spoilers. The Office of Civil Defense has issued the following message. This is a spoiler. Warning. A spoiler. Warning means that an actual spoiler against this country has been detected and that protective action should be taken. Yeah. Okay. Yash posing. Okay. All right.

[01:02:39] We got to talk about this because the votes are now changing and people are now thinking about doing unthinkable things. Okay. Where do we stand right now on the vote if Rick Devins remains on the block? If Rick Devins remains on the block, he will be going home unanimously. What?

[01:03:07] It's not looking good for Papa Devins. He, because him being on the block now is turning, it's become enticing for D, right? Where it's like, hey, I can split up that three. What other opportunity would we have? And in this scenario, if Devins is already going home, well, I guess in her, no. She's thinking that Barrett for sure is voting to keep Devins.

[01:03:34] And so they're thinking that the vote is going to be, what, four to three? No, three to three? That Devins is saying regardless. But no, but she's thinking, no, but they wanted to, at first they were thinking they wanted to blame Barrett for sending Devins home by lying about the votes, thinking that, okay, there are going to be two votes to keep Devins. And then the other four votes are going to be to get rid of Devins.

[01:04:02] But what they don't know is Barrett is committed to voting out Devins. And so they're kind of toying with D and Angela voting out Devins in the hopes of getting him out. So they think they're blindsiding one side by trying to get him out, even though the other side already wants him out. And so the only way Devins could stay at this point is by winning the blockbuster.

[01:04:25] The thing I really would hate for Rick Devins, I think that he's like, he'll be able to take it, you know, he'll be fine. I hate that the jury started. I hate that for him so much that he is going to then have to go now basically, you know, 28 days or something like that to go into sequester to be the mayor of the jury house.

[01:04:53] And like, there's definitely there's worse lots in life. But I know that Rick is such a family person. It's just like, well, what a what a buzzkill. It's one thing to be gone and away from your family to go and do something like this. But then to then be like, OK, and now you lost. And it's like, wait, why can't why can't I just like talk to my family? It's like, well, we don't want to impact the jury. Like, who cares? Yeah, I totally hear you. I feel really bad, too.

[01:05:23] He did volunteer to go on the block. Sure. Sure. You know, listen, I'm not saying he did the right thing. I'm just saying I have empathy for him, like going to the going to the jury house for potentially four weeks. Yeah. If he was going to volunteer for anything, I wish he did it the other night. Volunteer for the Haley spot and then go. You know what I mean? I and I would have loved to see Haley as a juror as funny. I would have loved to just seen how that went.

[01:05:50] Her as the first juror would be far more hilarious. Well, and I do think it's like Survivor, right? And I don't know Big Brother nearly as well as I do know Survivor. But the first juror does set the tone for how the jury votes a lot of the time. And I do wonder what that looks like with Rick going out the way that he's about to go out in a 6-0. I feel like it's less true with Big Brother than Survivor. Like, I feel like, yes, the mayor of Ponderosa sets the tone.

[01:06:19] But for Big Brother, there's not that trend. Like, the relationships established in the house really affect how people feel going into the jury. And so I feel like even if Haley were the first juror, they wouldn't care what she's saying or whatever. And so even if Devens is the first person in the jury, I think it's going to matter. Like, let's say D makes it to the end.

[01:06:44] I don't think because Devens has been there the whole time championing for D that they would vote for D to win. Unless they want to give her the win. Yeah. Brandon, do you think that Rick would vote for D in the end if he feels like that she turned on him? Yeah. I think that Rick wants a Survivor person to win Big Brother. And I think if D is the only one there, obviously, because he's gone,

[01:07:12] I don't think it necessarily matters who she's next to. I think he's going to vote. Even if the vote's 6-1 and Barrett or Drew or whoever gets the other votes, I think Rick will always be voting for the other. Because he wants to feel like he won. And a Survivor person is a win for him also. So I don't think that D will likely get all the votes in that scenario. But I do think Ricky Dees is not.

[01:07:37] We spend a lot of time talking about Rick and his plight if he ends up being on the block. But what's the latest with Taylor and Lala? And should Rick Devens win the blockbuster? What's the latest there? It's going back and forth just a little bit. Like, I don't think enough. I feel like the momentum is certainly leaning towards Lala would be the one evicted. That's been the most heavily discussed. I feel like I'm looking at Barrett especially as like,

[01:08:03] what does he want in this vote given his position in where the votes are going to lie? And I was, I guess, a little surprised that that's what he wanted. But then even watching this episode back and really seeing where he put Yash and Lala's lives in danger by sending them outside and keeping Taylor and Melody safe. Yeah, it makes sense that he is prioritizing Taylor staying in the game a little bit more, especially with Lala being harder to beat in competitions. So it does feel like it would end up being Lala.

[01:08:33] But I feel like Dee and Angela, and I could be wrong about this. I'm not like completely on it. But I feel like they kind of would rather Lala stay. I don't know if anyone feels different. Yeah, because Angela has that relationship with Lala. Like where we say Devens has Barrett and Drew, Angela has Lala. Like that's her connection outside of the crossover. Crossovers, don't they go back and forth? Like, don't they say sometimes crossover, sometimes crossovers? Maybe. I'm not sure. Anyway, I think that... Could be over either way.

[01:09:02] You're right. Angela wants to keep Lala. But, you know, what's most important, where the numbers are, like what does Yash and Barrett and Melody want to do? Mm-hmm. Yeah. I think Devens would probably want Lala to go along with the Barrett and Drew. Like that's where I think that they're leaning as well. Again, feeling like Lala is tougher to beat in competitions. And if she's available, we take the shot.

[01:09:31] If Rick ends up winning the blockbuster, does he just go through the rest of the game, la-di-da, not even knowing that he would have been evicted from the house? Who? Depends on who wins HOH next week. Who tells him? If he wins HOH next week, he stays, he wins HOH, everybody's snitching. Yeah. Like, I think everybody would know at that point. It just feels like Barrett really could get out of this so easily.

[01:09:59] The fact that he's getting one over on D in such a big way here, that like D is so confused. She's like, surely Barrett would vote out Devens if he's on the block, but she doesn't think he's going to because he's been selling so well this week that he's voting with the crossovers that he's still loyal to them. And nobody has truly sniffed it out, even if they have their minor suspicions. It doesn't feel like any of them are like, we know that Barrett is not with us at this point. So if Devens does stay and wins HOH and Yash happens to come to Devens and say, Barrett was ready to get rid of you.

[01:10:29] Barrett's going to say, of course I told Yash that. I had to, you know, just pretend to be on his side. So I don't know. Hmm. Do we have any thoughts on what the next HOH might be, Asia? Ooh. So since the last one was questions. Yeah. Could we have some type of endurance situation? We haven't had the egg in a while. D1, like the balance beam.

[01:10:59] Yeah. It was physical. We just had a quiz comp for, you know, for veto or no. HOH. That was HOH. Yeah. So probably not one of those. Yeah. The tiny, the tiny veto. Um, that like, that's a veto. That's not a small HOH key, but I'm just thinking of comps we haven't gotten yet. So that could be coming, but. I think they've done tiny HOH. I could be making that up, but I feel like they, they did it one year recently. I don't, cause I think only like six people can play in the tiny veto.

[01:11:29] I don't, I, I don't recall a tiny HOH, but you are, uh, more of the authority than me. See what the chat says. Yeah. Uh, but yeah, uh, no slip and slide. They did say, uh, that there wasn't going to be a slip and slide. They did, they did a tiny HOH last season. Okay. I thought so. Last season. Okay. Yeah. Interesting. Yeah. And Drew was the tiny HOH this week. Yes. All right.

[01:11:54] Um, anything else that we want to, it's on our mind going into big day tomorrow as per usual. Yeah. I think we're all going to be watching the, uh, blockbuster. It's another important blockbuster where somebody has to win or else they are the ones going home.

[01:12:16] Um, so I think because of that, it would be the most exciting scenario if Rick Devins loses because we finally get to see Barrett show his cards. Uh, we got, or in, we get to see what happened, like what D and Angela are going to do. Yeah. I mean, it is like narratively Devins kind of has to go home, uh, at this point just to fulfill.

[01:12:45] Why did you put yourself on the block? And just like allow the game to breathe in a different direction without icon, icon, icon. Well, listen, we've seen it both ways this season where last week it was all about is the Drew eviction party. We were all there in person for big brother 1000. Everybody was excited. And then Drew won the blockbuster and took himself off. Uh, ultimately when it was the blindside Kamu or the vote out Kamu night, Angela won the blockbuster and it happened.

[01:13:15] So we will see what happens on a busy Thursday. Uh, we will have, uh, so much for you coming up tomorrow.
