Also available on YouTube.
Big Brother 28 inches closer to its finale as the house faces a tense Final 4 eviction. Rob Cesternino, Taran Armstrong, Aysha Welch, and Mary Kwiatkowski break down all the moves, emotions, and strategy in this special recap episode. With big decisions on the line and bold personalities making their cases, everyone is watching to see which alliances will hold and who will land on top.
This episode covers the dramatic fallout of the Final 4 eviction, where Drew surprises many by keeping Devens over Dee, shaking up everyoneβs predictions. The group digs into Drewβs reasoning and whether it could help or hurt his game, especially since Devens is now favored as a competition threat. Thereβs a close look at both the HoH and Veto competitions, with Taylorβs crucial HOH win discussed as a turning point. The hosts debate the juryβs likely reactions, how social ties and past promises might weigh on votes, and the emotional toll on players, especially when longtime allies face off.
- Taran Armstrong points out that Drewβs choice to keep Devens, described as βillogicalβ even by Drew, may still leave him a path to win if he can take out Devens at Final 3.
- Aysha notes the juryβs reaction may depend heavily on whether Drew finally makes a big move, and how his endgame decisions look to the icons and Melody.
- Mary highlights Drewβs reputation as a βweaselβ in the house, and how perception could impact his jury chances versus Taylor.
- The hosts share a funny moment about the castβs attempts to open a champagne bottle as the Final 3 celebrate, mirroring Drewβs sometimes bumpy gameplay.
Alliances and trust are on shaky ground as the houseguests, and the jury, prepare for the last round of gameplay. Will Drewβs risky move pay off, or did he just give Devens a clear shot at the win? Listen in for all the strategy, analysis, and house drama as Big Brother 28 heads into its final showdown.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_00] All right, he did it. It's time to talk about this Final Four eviction and we got so much to talk about. I'm so excited to be back here to talk with everybody on the recap here tonight and a lot to unpack on two hours of Big Brother. And we are back here, of course, with Taran Armstrong. Taryn, how are you? Ding! I'm still here. You're still here. Yes. And so is Rick Devins.
[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_01] So is Rick Devins. Yes. Now, Julie said that nobody at production knew what was going to happen. And I think she lied to us, but nobody knew it was going to happen last night, which is pretty wild.
[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_00] Yes. Yes. In fairness, when they put that on the prompter, nobody knew what was going to happen. But that listen, I was on pins and needles the whole night of, you know, I had heard the rumors, but you never know what Drew is going to do, that he's a little weasel. He could change his mind at any point. But he does ultimately vote to keep Devins, the Vick D, so much to unpack. A fellow survivor is here to talk about it. Asia. Asia, how are you?
[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_04] Hello. I'm excited to be here. I only have one thing to say. Shout out to all of my dogs at the crib.
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_01] How many? Oh, my God. Multiple dogs. A flying dog.
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_02] A flying dog.
[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_04] I love that you're going to have the extra ready. Yes.
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_00] Yes.
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_04] It took a team today just for the intro.
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_00] Okay. Well, we are so excited to repair the hosts of our Love is Blind coverage because here tonight also, it's Frail Mary, Mary Krakowski. Mary, how are you? Who?
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_03] I'm here. I'm, look, I might be the only one because I was, I was at work all day. And so I, I was shocked by the outcome. Not going to lie. I was shocked up through the tears at the eviction. And I, I was shocked. I really thought it was going to be like a, you know, D, I have to vote Devins out or something. Like I thought I had like mid sentence. I was still shocked. So.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_02] Yep.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_03] I'll take it. I, you know what? I'm enjoying this season as a casual.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And Taryn, finally, one of the survivors has unsurvived tonight. It did finally happen.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01] No matter what, one of the two survivors has to unsurvive.
[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I can't really, I can't believe it. We'll talk through everything from this, uh, two hour episode, but I guess, uh, I don't know what the headline is that Devin stayed or that D is done.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_04] I think the bigger headline is that Devin stayed because I think we can all agree that was not the decision that we thought was going to happen. Like if we are just thinking unbiased, like whoever, whatever decision puts, uh, drew in the best position, we would think that would be Devin's would go.
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_00] We'll see. I mean, I would thought about this as we were watching this live eviction. And I remembered a week ago tonight when we stood and we watched drew walk into the diary room and he's like, ah, what do I do? And he had to decide between evicting Yash and evicting D and then ultimately he chose to evict Yash in that spot. And I think that the knee jerk reaction was horrible move.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_00] Drew, you just blew it. I have a feeling that's probably the knee jerk reaction tonight. Drew, you just blew the game. But what if one week from tonight, he wins the final three HOH and evicts Rick Devin's?
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And I think he will. And, and I mean, this is the thing. I don't think, I don't think people should have said you blew it when he evicted Yash. I think that was the right call. And I think that's knee jerk reaction. Fair enough. Uh, I also don't think I agree. I don't think this should be a, you just blew it message, right? Like I do think that the better move was probably to evict Devins here because Devins is just going to be harder to beat in the final three HOH.
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_01] Devins had collected Devins had won more competitions than D and Taylor combined, uh, to this point, he's also the best studied person in that house. Um, so like, you know, if you want to guarantee yourself the win, which you do by winning the final three HOH, taking out your best, your biggest competition seems like the right play.
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_01] But at the end of the day, as long as he wins the final three HOH and cause Devins, he's still, he still wins. Like, it's not like, Oh, he, Oh, he's definitely gone now. He just can't, he can't win the game now. Uh, so he's still, he's still like, he just needs to win is really the thing.
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_04] But we can, I mean, we can think of it at that, like from that angle, but you also have to think about the jury. Like this is the one thing that melody wanted him to do. So the moment she hears you had the opportunity to get rid of D or Devins and you chose D like, she's not going to respect that move. And then by the time the third person is what the, the, the third place person is walking on stage. A lot of people have decided how they're going to vote.
[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. But if he does evict Rick Devins, that, that what could she say? He's like, yeah, I didn't do it when you wanted me to, but I did do it.
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_01] I think the decision at round table will be if he cuts Devins, I'll give him my vote. But if he takes Devins, I'm voting for Devins.
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_03] I also don't know. What do you think Mary? I don't know if it's recency bias of the last couple of competitions, but I know like before this week, I was certainly thinking that Devins had some of the best shot at the final three HOH, but like drew and Taylor have both won the last several competitions. So I think that that's not nothing. Although from previous challenges, I'm not exactly sure how well I think Taylor would do in like a anything super physical endurance.
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_03] And see, but I don't know. We'll see. It's, I think it will be hard for someone to beat Devins. If he's in the final two, like if Devins is in the final two, I think that's like almost impossible. But, but I, I think that there's definitely the scenario where drew cuts Devins here, especially if he, you know, obviously you'd have to win the final three.
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_03] And then can speak well toward it. I think the problem is his like emotional friendship with D and Devins. I just think a lot of people in jury are going to see that as like, it was, it wasn't, it wasn't a big giant move in the way that like melody or Barrett were when they put them up, when they put a D and Devins on the block.
[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. He still has one big thing left to do if he's going to win this game, but I think that he insured himself at least second place and has completely avoided the possibility that he will finish in third place.
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_00] And so I think he bought himself some insurance of at least the second place finish. I think that he is still is very likely to evict Rick Devins. If he gets, if he gets, if he brings Rick Devins to the final two, then yeah, he deserves to lose, but he still might evict Rick. And he has worked himself out of a scenario where D and Taylor take each other to the final two. And he ends up in third place. There's no possibility that he ends up in third because Taylor would take him to the final two also. Right.
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_04] And that's the biggest thing. But, but, but I don't think it's 1000% that Devins takes Drew. I think that we have a whole week before the finale. And even though Devins is in a position where he beats both of them, if I'm Devins, I'm thinking, okay. No, he specifically didn't. What does he say? He's on rescue dogs. Oh, that's right. Rescue dog. Oh boy.
[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_00] He, Rick Devins cares a lot about rescue dogs and he, he adopted a dog and named it Sia.
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_03] Did he swear something on his family? Why did I think that he had, or did D swear on her family? Somebody I feel like was doing something.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_04] D swear on her dogs. Yeah. And her family.
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_01] And unborn children. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Right now Devins is, is like Drew's relying on Devins is pity basically of like, I beat both of you. So I'm willing to give you the 75 K. Uh, but yeah, like if Devins was trying to optimize, he knows the kind of art, he knows what argument Taylor's going to make in the final two. And it's not a great one.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_04] And I'm thinking like, do I go for the kind of win where, Oh, I know Drew will get votes or do I go for the for sure win? And if I'm Devins and I've had this, this run, this reality TV run, I want to go for the for sure win. And I think the fact that there's so much time for him to think about that and ponder on that. I think it's, it's, it's, it's for me, it looks like it's 50, 50. I don't think it's so sure that drew is second place.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_03] If, if Devins cuts drew, do you think he still votes for Devins at the end? Like immediately after turn around? It won't matter. I don't know. I don't necessarily get well, but I just was curious. Um, I do think the, the D Taylor taking each other potential threat was probably what swayed it here.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_03] Um, yeah, but also like, I don't know if this was a online reality game or like a weekend reality game. I think I would probably say, you know, go big or go home, uh, like try to try to optimize to get to the end. But in the real situation, I don't, I don't, uh, begrudge drew from wanting to like guarantee himself second place. At least he's played this far.
[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_03] Get it second.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_00] Come this far. Taryn, I'd love to know from you just, uh, how much credit do we give Rick Devins tonight? In terms of the campaign of that, he, that he put on the charm offensive to use a Christian Hubicki's terms that he put on drew to get drew to make this decision.
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01] I think it's like maximum credit, right? Like, uh, this was drew himself described the choice multiple times as essentially illogical. The, the logical choice was to take D and the emotional choice was to take Devins. Um, now he had a couple of points, uh, that were like, yeah, you know, I'm, I'm at least guaranteed second place, but I probably lose.
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_01] And he also seems to be under the, uh, false, uh, pretense, uh, that part three of the final three HOH is still the old version where you get asked questions about like, what was Lala's favorite moment? Was it when she won the tongue competition or the wall competition? Um, and he's like, Oh, well, Taylor's obviously going to beat me on that. Cause she knows the jury better than I do, but obviously we know that's not the case. So like he was concerned about that.
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01] So we wanted to like ice her out of part three. Um, so like those were like his two kind of like more logical points, but he still described it as the illogical choice. Uh, and anytime that you are able to get somebody to make what they themselves describe as an illogical choice, I think you like truth and logic was not on his side. He still made it happen. So, uh, kudos for sure.
[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_00] I think that when we talk about Rick Devins and his, uh, reality TV career, this might be his crowning achievements. This might be better than making the fake idol. This is better than flipping the Mr. Beast coin, because this is the thing that we had given D all of her flowers over these last two weeks where she was up on the block and she convinced people to do the wrong thing for that.
[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_00] And now listen, it still could work out for drew, but he convinced him with his power of persuasion and the, the, the hold that he had that he really was working on marinating drew for 80 some odd days of this game all for this moment tonight.
[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. I think like Devins has to get that credit. Um, and it's, it's wild to just to think about. We're, we're talking about Devins who is a, like he has, like he, I think he has to win this game if he's in the final two, right. Uh, uh, uh, against a winner of survivor. Like the fact that we're saying like, Oh, like Drew's if he had taken D would have had
[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_04] a chance, which is like, if D makes it to the end, she also really would have had a strong chance, you know, because, you know, but I do think that this is the, the stamina it takes to make it today, 70, whatever. And be like, I, okay, I'm going to be persistent with drew and I'm going to make sure like to do this week after week, like Devins has worked his butt off.
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, so I think it's like for us, it makes sense that whoever wins the final HOH, if it's not Devins would not take Devins. Um, but that's why I think that drew has kind of put himself in a position of a must win position. But I think that's the only way that drew wins is if he does win that final HOH plus cuts Devins.
[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_00] And he's been in a must win position for weeks now also. And he has won and he may continue to win.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_03] Do you know what would be really cute also?
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_00] Go ahead.
[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_03] If, if Devins wins big brother, then both him and D have like opposite placements on the shows. Isn't that cute? Cause she will fit for it. Twins.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_01] Um, this, uh, I think an interesting component of this is that this was the first time that Devins was vulnerable, uh, since jury. Um, since, uh, since before the medieval twist, uh, this has been the first time. And that was when D was HOH and then Yash was HOH before that, which was the first time
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_01] that like the only time before now that, and he could be like, even could have taken a shot at him. And of course that was when he had the diamond power of veto. Um, so like he's either one safety or been protected by the bribe or been given safety during a twist or, you know, in week seven, D was HOH or he had the diamond power of veto. Like he has not really been in a vulnerable position until now. Like this was, this was the vent on the death star, right? Like this was the shot to take.
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01] You might have one more, uh, but it was definitely a rare one.
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_04] I thought that, I thought that drew had already cried all the tears, like not only missing melody, but also thinking of cutting Devins. I thought he had already grieved this decision. Like I thought the decision was more than made, but the fact. That like, I know we're giving Devins his props, but the fact that that decision was like, he was able to change that decision for drew.
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_04] Like there's no world where the jury, uh, is seeing, not seeing it as Devins. It was kind of like, you know, very persuasive and maybe not even like Devins had power over drew's game.
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I mean, no doubt, uh, that ever daddy Devins, that's the story for drew, uh, that there just still is that possibility that, that drew just kicked the can down the road for one more week. And maybe that, and again, I, I have no evidence that, that this is how he's thinking, but I would have to imagine that he was this close to evicting Devins here.
[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_00] And that he's thinking that I could just, if I win this HOH and this last HOH, and again, he doesn't really know how it works, but again, better to be a good lucky than good. I feel like that he has a, he, he beat Rick Devins in a comp that was based on the days and the information in the house to win the veto at the final four. I don't think it's crazy to think he could win that final three HOH.
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_00] So I, I just, I see the path for drew for this still ending up to work out for him. That's not what I'm necessarily hoping for, but I, I see that he could do it.
[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_01] And like the perception is that he is baby boy drew who does what daddy Devins says, which like, I don't think has been the full reality of drew's game. I mean, baby drew stemmed primarily from him flipping on Yash during Yash's HOH when he voted out Kamu, which was very much a thing that was in Drew's favor in the game. Like he didn't do that for the vets.
[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_01] He did that for his own game in the same way that he voted out Yash for his own game. So I don't think the narrative is like strictly fair, but it is the narrative, right? Uh, and it's one that he will need to counter. I think if he wants to win the game or at least might need to counter if he wants to win the game. Um, like if, if I'm on the jury and I know that drew wanted to cut Devins, even if you didn't have the chance to, I still, I mean, I honestly, I would still at the very least
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_01] consider voting drew even over Devins. Like Devins got a bunch of, he got a diamond power of veto. He got protected by a bribe. He had to win multiple competitions in order to survive. Just like drew, like there's not that much that differentiates the two's games, uh, aside from all of the advantages that Devins got, he was obviously in more control, but like, I think drew has played, uh, similarly in terms of keeping himself safe and alive in the game.
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_01] Um, the, the problem is this narrative that exists and that's where Devins has, has sort of like outshone him more dramatically. Devins has a much more commanding narrative and drew seems more like a weasel to the jury. So he still does need to win that final HOH. The, the, the thing is if Taylor wins it and cuts Devins, he doesn't have that narrative.
[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_01] He's still baby boy drew, but he's got allies on the jury and he should have four votes in the three icons plus melody at the very least. Uh, so it's again, it's like, it's not the worst place to be here though. Taylor winning might not be the most likely thing in the world considering parts one and part two, but like, you know, you never know.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And hold off necessarily on the three icons and melody working together. We have to see the Angela versus melody fight coming from the jury house. It could be overdrew. We don't know.
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And this is my favorite part of big brother, but also the thing that's most like fascinating from a psychology standpoint is just the perception that people have of each other. Like, I don't know, six or seven weeks ago, I feel like I said something along the lines of like, this is Drew's, this is Drew's perception to the rest of the house guests that he's a weasel that they can't tell when he's lying versus being serious. And they don't exactly know where his loyalty is and yada, yada.
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_03] And I was thinking like, what is it that someone like Drew can do to change his perception? Because we sure you can make it all the way to the end, do a couple of big moves and then say, I knew it all along. This is actually me. Here's my big grand speech. And that might work. That can. We saw that was kind of what Paris did in big brother Canada. So like it can happen. But like, if you're, if people are too locked into, like in the scenario where Drew gets
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03] to the end with Taylor, if people are too locked into the fact that he didn't and Taylor won final three, if they're too locked into the fact that Drew, you never actually made that move. You never actually turned. You never actually did the thing that we wanted you to do. Like that is a battle he's going to have to fight. And unless he can say it in a way that, that isn't like, oh, but it was just hard because I loved them so much because it was my dad or whatever. Like, I don't know that that's going to work here.
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03] And people develop like emotional attachments on these shows all the time to other players. You're locked in there for so long. That's what's fascinating about it. It's just, it's just a hard thing to get a group of people really quickly at the end. You don't have tons and tons of time to convince them and you got to be powerful, direct and like have an exact plan of what you're going to say. So maybe he can, and I'd be interested to see it, but it's definitely going to be tricky.
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_00] The part of the episode that really jumped out to me besides the actual vote was when Rick Devins was talking about his experience on the edge of extinction and how this can't happen to him again. And I'm just so happy for Rick tonight that he had this experience. He thought he was going to win on Survivor at the Edge of Extinction.
[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_00] He had his friend, Chris Underwood, who then took like gave up, gave up the immunity necklace, put himself into the fire to take Rick Devins out of the game. Rick Devins still may end up having that ending, but he doesn't have it at four again, like he was afraid of. And I'm just so happy for Rick tonight that he doesn't have to live with having the same exact ending that he had to live with on Survivor.
[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_01] Well, and it's a complete reversal too, because he basically just got Drew to do the same thing that he did, right? Like he kept Chris one more round because he thought he needed him because it would help him advance further instead of just hoping that he himself would be able to make it on his own, like on his own. And so if Drew, by extension of keeping Devins, loses to Devins in the final three, I think
[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_01] he will similarly feel like, damn, like if only I had cut Devins there, I would have won that final three HOH and who knows, right? Like, so, you know, it's, it's, it's very, it's very interesting.
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_00] Let's talk about the D perspective here, because we have to give D all the credit in the world. I really thought up until the moment she walked out of the house that D was going to be the winner of the season. I just think that she had, she, she's a reality TV persona that just is such a killer. And I mean that in the best way possible, that she is always going to be a person that
[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_00] you have to worry about in these, in, in these games. Unfortunately, the big brother competitions did not really line up with her skillset where she was such a comp beast on survivor, where I think that so much of the survivor comps was just like mind over matter and just like, uh, you know, who wants it more where that's just not how these big brother competitions have worked.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_00] And ultimately I think that like her comp beast persona probably takes a bit of a hit, but we saw her at many moments during this season be, uh, just as dangerous as anybody has ever been in these games.
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. I like that. We got to see this side of D like the more emotional side, because yeah, she was just as fierce as she is on survivor. But the fact that we got to see, you know, so many tears be shed for so many various reasons, like it being their last night in the house together, being sad about Angela going and all of these different emotions. I feel like it really humanized her a bit where it's like, yeah, I think big it's it, I think
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_04] it is. It seems like it's harder and big brother with the time with the length of time. And of course, you know, Julie Chen movie has made sure to point out the comparisons, but the length of time, it's harder to separate like, oh, those personal relationships versus who they are in the game. And on survivor where it's like the quick turnaround, you can blindside somebody don't have to deal with it.
[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Julie did ask her the question of, so you played survivor and big brother, which is hard. She said, I knew you were going to ask me that question. She does ask that question every week. That is her favorite question.
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_01] Honestly, I'm mostly just surprised that she didn't ask D who she thought the vote was.
[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. So do you think? We can't tell you. You are on the jury. So, so we can't tell you anything about that. Yeah. You know, I love the D and Devin's relationship this season. I think it was so cool that the two of them, they came into the house, maybe outside of that one week where D was going to vote out Devin's and then he won the blockbuster and he never found out about that. They really, they were in lockstep the entire season.
[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_00] And it was just so cool to see them, them come in and just basically just be like, uh, like partners in this game. And that they, when it was, I thought that that was a great moment when drew won the veto. And then it was like, you know what? At least neither of us has to cut the other one. And that was cool because we always wondered like, is what it like is D gonna ultimately cut Devin's and then she never had to. And so I love this for them.
[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_04] I know, right?
[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_00] She would have. She would have.
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_03] I think they both would say after the season, oh, of course we would have cut each other. Of course.
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_01] Well, no, this, cause they were both planning to cut each other, but then the second they didn't have to, they both said to the cameras, I don't think I would have been able to do it though. Yeah. Like, come on. But honestly, I think this was, I think this was a better ending for the two of them than cutting one because cutting one another was like, just, it would have happened. Right. Like it would have happened. It would have been over. It would have been dramatic. We've seen that before. It is fun.
[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_01] You know, Cody cutting Nicole was like, wow. Um, but them having to compete over drew, uh, and campaign against each other over the course of a few days, I thought was like a good sort of finale for their Alliance. Yeah.
[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_04] I know. Like, you know, as great as it is to not, to, to see that they didn't have to, you know, they can just like, you know, take a step back. We didn't have to, you know, make that move. Think about how eventful that would have been to see like one of them had won veto or whatever it was and had to make the decision in front of them and what that would have been because there would have been respect. Like they would have, they would have understood it would, I think it would have showed you
[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_04] can play this game and be a good sport about it. Uh, I just would have loved to see it actually happen.
[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_03] I feel like, okay. I don't want to touch this hot stove, but I kind of do. It, I feel like, uh, uh, I don't know. Cause I don't want to turn big brother into the challenge or into, into the traders, but like, I do think that the last, well, this season was a cool experiment of seeing some survivor players on big brother. I wish that survivor players could come on the same way that everyone else does. They're outside. They enter the first day. There's no twists.
[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_03] There's no advantages for them and just see how they'd perform against other people. Throw in one, throw in a couple, who cares? Um, cause I, I do think that like, it's interesting to see people play all out in the way that D and Devens have now. Would they have, had they not been given advantages? I still think, yes. Like, I still think that's the way they both played on survivors. They probably would on big brother. And it was cool to watch. Um, I mean, I don't know the most like fair version of this is just doing all survivors.
[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_03] He's at a big brother, but I, I, people would also hate that and have issues with that too. So that's a hot stove, hot stove. I don't know.
[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And for the two of them to have gone through this, uh, whole experience and they really didn't know each other particularly well coming into this, you know, they were both on survivor 50 and I think that they were sort of like acquaintances after that experience, but they just, it's sort of like, uh, I think that D, uh, was won over by watching Rick Devins as a juror. I think she really liked the way that he played the game and she really became a fan of his
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_00] there, but they weren't necessarily close friends. There was no guarantee that this was how it was going to go for the two of them. And so it really was just like admirable to see, uh, these two survivors come in and just like play this game with each other. And sure. They had their blowups along the way where some of them were in the episodes. I think there was a, a, a minor one tonight when Rick Devins said to D you're such a negative thinker. You're the, you're the most negative person.
[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_00] And then, but they, they ultimately worked it through. She kind of ultimately ended up, uh, laughing it off. And I don't know, was she thinking negatively about this final four vote, Taryn?
[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_01] No, I mean, she was actually thinking kind of positively about it. Uh, you're wrong, Rick. She felt, uh, good about it. And, and I would love to know when drew made his decision, uh, because, uh, cause so many people were having trouble interpreting where he was leaning last night at the end of last night, I felt like he had been leaning toward evicting Devins.
[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_01] Um, but he did have a conversation with D right at the end of the night where he asked her if she'd be willing to throw part one of the final three HOH and she did not agree to it. Um, he then in the morning asked Devins if he would, and Devins immediately agreed. Uh, and I had been like, well, she shouldn't immediately agree. Cause that's obviously a lie. Like, like she, that's just proving that she's just going to immediately agree to everything.
[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_01] But I did think she should go back to him in the morning and say, I've thought about it. And I will, um, he's used that reason as well as saying he would rather lose to Devins than to D, which I don't think is as true. Uh, he again, used the part three false perception reason. Um, and, uh, and so there's a world where she really, she was right. He was going to take her, but then at the, like when it came down to it, he just, he woke
[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_01] up this morning. He couldn't do it. He wanted, he wanted to find, I mean, I think I said this this morning, he wanted to find a reason to keep Devins and maybe he found it in this agreement that he would throw part one, uh, or maybe he will, who was always going to take Devins, who knows? But, uh, but yeah, I would love to know.
[00:31:43] [SPEAKER_00] So, okay. As somebody who is, uh, just getting this information now, Rick Devins is going to throw part one of the HOH. That's not it. You think he's going to go back on that?
[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_01] Well, he has to. Yeah. It'd be so ridiculous to throw part one of the final three HOH for no reason. I mean, he's probably not going to win it anyway against Drew, but like, it'd be wild to actually throw it.
[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_03] Especially because his performance in, you know, the final four veto having to do with days was not great. And if there's any element of that type of knowledge in part two would not be great for him.
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. I mean, so this is interesting because watching him in this final four veto competition definitely gave the impression that he is not good. He's not studied up. However, when he studies on the feeds, like he knows his stuff more than most in the house. Uh, he did say that, um, that in the veto competition, he knew the days he just kept screwing up the, like, he just went immediately. What, what, what happened was this is, this is his explanation.
[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_01] He went and started doing the counter before even thinking about what day it was then would realize like, Oh shit, I already passed it or like whatever. And he kept screwing up like that because he kept getting ahead of himself. So there is a world where he does know his stuff and he will perform well. There's also a world where under that high pressure situation, he continues to mess up. That's kind of what we saw with Morgan in part three of the final three HOH. Um, it's interesting.
[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_00] He said that he said that he gets, uh, too amped up in some of these competitions. And so we see him typically doing puzzles or something with a ball and that maybe that he's not a good test taker. And unless it's a puzzle puzzle and like, I think maybe that's different. Maybe he treats it like a sport, but some of these, uh, wasn't he the only one that started
[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_04] with the single digits and then was doing the five.
[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_01] I think so.
[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_04] Which I was like, that makes it so much harder to like go up to three and then, okay, five,
[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_03] you know, man, this is my brain. My brain was like, yes, I would just do all single digits because I don't want it to run back and forth to the other one. I don't know how, like, how big did you actually have to go around for it to, you know, turn the number over? I don't know.
[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_00] On the flush capacitor.
[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_03] You know what? I blocked out the whole fact that this was a toilet based competition. Kind of surprised that they didn't bring in the bidet. Wasn't, uh, wasn't Enzo the one who kept talking about the spritz of water?
[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_01] You know what? I had not made that connection, but they definitely should have had Enzo mention the spritz of water.
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_04] They still do have the bidet in the house. Oh, great. I feel like someone, someone mentioned there being water all over the floor because someone did not use the bidet.
[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_00] Uh, but let's talk about D and then her exit interview with Julie. I thought that that was a good moment in the episode where, uh, Julie was asking D about her experience in the house. D, uh, D told Julie she could not have cut Devon's. She would not, she would not have been able to do this. Um, we discussed whether or not we actually, uh, believe that Julie was asking her about certain other scenarios.
[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_00] And then, uh, D tried to like have this company line that she would never have cut Devon's under any circumstances.
[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_01] Well, what she was saying was she wouldn't have cut Devon's at the final four, but she was planning to cut him at final three. But like, I think it was hard for her to get that out because Julie was like, whoa, really? But then you would have done this. Uh, her plan was to cut drew at final four, uh, and take Devon's to final three, which, which isn't as difficult to choice because drew is just as capable of not more so than Devon's in, in these competitions. So it's not that much of a difference.
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_01] Uh, so cutting drew taking Devon's to final three and then cutting Devon's and taking Taylor was her plan. Um, which does mean like, and, and we saw it happen in the middle of the interview. She was like, drew just doesn't have that killer instinct, man. I guess I would have done the same though.
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_00] So also Julie asked D about, uh, did she get bored in the big brother house? And was she, uh, making, uh, some moves cause she was getting bored? Which I thought was a perceptive question for Julie.
[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_00] I think it's true. Too much time. Yeah.
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_04] Too much time on their hands.
[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Too much time on their hands. Um, and then ultimately, uh, she got some, uh, her goodbye messages. Uh, Taryn, anything, uh, strike you from the goodbye messages? Um, I mean, again, I was.
[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_01] It's apparently drew never told D that this was going to happen, which is interesting. Um, and both like in terms of the, the ceremony that took place where he evicted D and in the goodbye message, he cites, like, I just don't think you would take me and sort of implying
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_01] he does believe that Devins would take him, which is like, not quite the argument you want her going to the jury with. Right? Like you don't want the jury to think he kept Devins because he believes that Devins will take him to final two, but he loses to Devins is the response. What you want them to go with is like, I'm guaranteeing myself second place at the very least. And I'm still cutting Devins at final two this way.
[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_01] Uh, like you, ideally you want them to know that you are going to cut Devins so that if you can't, because Taylor wins and cuts Devins, you at least have said ahead of time that you were planning to. So when they ask you, you can say yes. And I told D that was my plan. Uh, right? Like right now, if Taylor, Taylor's the one that does it and they go, were you ever going to really cut Devins? And he goes, yes, that was my plan.
[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_01] They might go sure, bud, which would not be great.
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_04] But yeah, because no one ever believes him when he's telling the truth.
[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_01] Right.
[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_03] And I do understand from drew, like the instinct to try and say something to D that she can't argue with. Kind of. Um, like I understand that idea of like, I just want to say something where she's not going to be able to turn around and say like, no, no, I would have done that because she probably wouldn't have taken Drew. And I think she knows that, you know, she would have taken Taylor. So I understand his instinct to do that.
[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_03] But you're, you're right, Taryn, like more people need to use the goodbye messages to send information to the jury. Um, and, uh, yeah, it's sometimes it happens, but it's been so shaky. Like, have we ever gotten a hundred percent confirmation about whether or not they for sure, 100% show all the goodbye messages to the person going to the jury now?
[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_01] I don't think they do.
[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. So it's like, you can't use that as a complete strategy every single time. So.
[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_00] Can we stop down on the Taylor versus drew scenario in the final two? So if Taylor does win the final three, H O H, she's the one that evicts Devin's. Can she win the game in the final two? I know we're talking about that. It looks like that drew still may have the icons and melody, but I, I think D could vote for Taylor.
[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_01] I don't think you don't think so. So D and Devin's both were like very, I mean, listen, maybe she, maybe like she gets annoyed about drew after she, like, you never know. This is the thing. You never know what happens in that jury house. We just saw a preview of melody and Angela arguing. And like, if that's real and they really hate each other in the jury house, Angela may be like, I'm never voting drew because of her, you know, like you just never know what people might do in the jury house.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_01] So yeah, there's a chance, but D and Devin's in the house before, like just yesterday, we're like, there's no shot. We vote Taylor over D over drew because they both heard Taylor's what she's going to claim, which is that she flipped the lyric vote. Uh, and they're like, she's really like got no legs to stand on. Drew is such a more active player. They really respect Drew's game. They really appreciated how emotional he was when he had to make this decision. Granted D was saying this still thinking he was going to take her.
[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_01] So yeah, there's that possibility, but listen. Yeah.
[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_00] D D could, if she was like, I could see her, uh, deciding to be salty with drew.
[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_01] I don't think so. I mean, she's of the three icons. She was always the least salty. Like she always was like, even in the midst of the Barrett stuff, she was like, true. I would still vote for Barrett in the end if he made it there. Uh, and she was actively like arguing with D with, uh, Devin's and Angela about it who, because they were like, no, we won't. And she was like, come on guys. So I think she would be there, but yeah, you're right. I mean, we never know the way I see Taylor versus drew.
[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_01] I think that Taylor should at that point for sure have Lala. I do think that if she's the one to cut Devin's, I think she gets Yash. Um, because, because Drew will have never made the move to prove himself to Yash.
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_04] And you know, Yash hates a glazer.
[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_01] Exactly. So Taylor will have proven herself by winning final four H2H and final three H2H and making that move to cut, to cut Devin. And so if she gets Yash, that's great. Barrett is the next vote. Um, I think Barrett similarly drew never proves that he was willing to cut Devin's. Uh, he's been pretty annoyed at drew. He talked with melody about not voting for drew about specifically voting Taylor over drew. They both agreed they would now. I think that's long in the, in the past, but that's the third vote.
[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_01] I think for Taylor that she could pick up, but not necessarily then the trickiest bit. You have to get one of melody or Angela. I think maybe if, if Rob's right, maybe it's D. Uh, but I think you have to get one of melody or Angela melodies, obviously quite difficult, despite what she said in the past. Angela might be the easier one, but if you don't have D, I think D is going to be able to influence Angela to stop being anti drew.
[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_04] But is the round table enough? Because she's walking straight to the round table.
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_01] It will just be around. Yeah.
[00:42:21] [SPEAKER_03] Yikes. So, so because of that, Rob, I don't think that D is going to have enough time to be like, if she was in the jury house for like a week and hearing people talk negatively about drew and really hyping up Taylor, like maybe D switches, but I just don't know about that.
[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_00] Okay. Is, is this even crazier? That is, does Taylor have a better shot against devins? Because there would be a one less icon on the jury. So even if Angela and D are locked in to vote for devins, Drew's going to probably vote for devins. Uh, but could Barrett vote for, uh, vote for Taylor over devins?
[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_04] I just don't think Taylor beats devins.
[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, Barrett, Yash, Melody, Taylor, or Barrett. Could she get those four against devins?
[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_01] If it's not impossible, I guess, uh, I had thought about this, but I hadn't fully counted the votes. Um, you know, I, I don't think it's likely. Chat says no. Well, of course, chat says no.
[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah.
[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_01] They always have the most binary answers. Uh, but like, yeah, there's always a chance, right? Like, um.
[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_00] In fairness, they don't have as much of a chance to talk as we do. It's true.
[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_01] Um, they always say that they were right afterward. Um, but, uh, I think, um, I, I obviously, I don't think it's likely. Uh, but, but Barrett has, uh, he was very upset with devins the way he treated him on his HOA train. Uh, he was pretty pro. He was pretty anti icon, but he also believed in the narrative that was sold by Zingbot and the comics that Taylor. It was in her pot all the time.
[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_01] Um, then, you know, even melody, I think, you know, melody was fairly anti devins, but she might be like, why would you take devins over drew? I think that decision looks weird, even if it ultimately might be better. Uh, so, yeah, I mean, listen, given the options. Yeah. Maybe it is. Maybe you do have more of a chance there.
[00:44:37] [SPEAKER_04] But I think even with this move here tonight, the fact that Devin stayed, I think that gains him some favor with a Yash or a Barrett because they're like, how did he convince drew to make this move? How did he make drew think this was in his best interest? And so I think they, it, it seems like enough time could have passed for them to be like, okay, yeah, I may have been hurt in the game, but I do respect his game enough to vote for him.
[00:45:33] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. I just, I'm not sure. Cause, cause I also think that like, I don't even know that Yash is on board is, is the, is maybe even the biggest problem. Uh, because I think Yash really respects Devin's game. Um, so I, I think it's tough.
[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_00] Okay. Is Taylor's best shot that drew wins the final HOH and if he cuts Rick down, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm trying here. Uh, if she cuts Rick Devon or if he cuts Rick Devon's drew cuts, Rick Devon's and Rick Devon's is this, I I'm not going to vote for you now. Bitter vote. So if he, uh, Rick Devon's Lala Yash, I think you might be impressed.
[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_01] I think you might trade Devon's for Yash in that spot. Yeah. But who knows? I mean, again, you just, you just, you can't get a long time on this show. Yeah.
[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_03] I do think like, if it comes down to drew and Taylor, I think their speeches and who is the one who wins that final three is going to determine it. And that's basically everything. So that I just said the game, that's, that's how the game works. Um, but yeah, I, I like, I don't think the speech is always a hundred percent matter, but I think in this case, it's going to be what they say, mostly just because of if everything that Taylor's been saying in the house is true.
[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_03] She's got some things on her, on her speech potential that might not land well, but we'll see if she changes her mind about that. Yeah.
[00:47:05] [SPEAKER_00] I think the speeches like, oh, Taryn, I just want to ask on the speeches, like what they say maybe doesn't matter so much, but do the vibes matter? Like Jag versus Matt?
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_01] Like, well, they went in planning to vote Jag. Um, I mean, I, I think in the history of final two speeches, right. Uh, I can think of one vote that definitely changed like Haley's vote and BB 20. You know what I mean? Like it's pretty rare that, that the votes change based on the speeches.
[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_01] Uh, you know, last season, they, they knew that if Ashley cut Morgan, they were voting Ashley. Maybe if, maybe Ashley could have screwed it up in the speech and they might've gone somewhere else, but it was pretty much locked in based on those outcomes. The year before that, obviously they all knew they were voting Chelsea. The year before that, they all were going to vote Jag. Uh, the year before that they were all going to vote Taylor the year before that, you know what I mean? Like it just, they were all going to vote Xavier.
[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_01] Um, they were all going to vote Cody.
[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_03] But don't you think it's possible that like, maybe I'm completely wrong. Cause we don't know. We don't know. But like, let's pretend that some of the people who get to the end and made really great speeches, if they made a really terrible speech, would they have still gotten those votes? Or could the votes have flipped to the other person? Like, that's what I'm saying. Some may argue Jack's speech was not.
[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_01] Right.
[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_03] Well, fair. But I mean, I think we look back at it and we're like. He was cooking.
[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_00] He got blood all over his hands.
[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_03] He was lying.
[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, we talk about speeches, but the reality is that it's like a couple of answered questions. Uh, that, that like the jury is like focused on reading whatever was, whatever note card was given to them. We're not even listening.
[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_03] I'm with Rob. I mean, the vibe, I mean, like coming in hot, coming in, being like, this is what I did. I'm being definitive. It's just like, close your eyes and feel like, yes, yes. This sounds like a winner versus someone who got, oh, I just, I really had such a hard time cutting you. I don't know. Like, yeah. Word salad. Sad. Like, I don't know. I just think it's possible. I'm not saying it's, it's rare. It's rare, but it's, it is theoretically possible.
[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. It's just like history has not borne it out that it ever really does anything. You know what I mean?
[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_04] This will be the time. I think these three are all going to give very energetic speeches. I feel like there's going, because I, if I think of like Taylor and the DR, she's always yelling. And so I think like she's going to be so fired up to sell her case. I, and, and, and we know Drew would be like that. We know that Devin's is so passionate about this. So I think whatever two final speeches we get, the energy is going to be great. But what we don't know what the content matters.
[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I really, I do agree about Taylor. I know that, uh, that there's some, uh, talk about that. She's going to take credit for things that are, were not actually accurate, but I do think that she will have the right energy for that final two. I think she's going to come out and really like, uh, like come out with her bullet points. I think that she will present well, even though maybe the information she's presenting is not that great.
[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. I mean, I, I, what I will say is I think my prediction would be that at the jury round table, the whole point of it is why Devin's should win, right? Like the whole point is that Devin's is the guy. And if Devin's isn't there, I think the main focus is why is he not there? Who cut him?
[00:50:38] [SPEAKER_01] Uh, and, and then, and so in that spot where it's Taylor versus drew, that's where speeches could matter a little more because that's the less expected and less talked about pairing.
[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_04] I think votes can be votes will be swayed based on who wins the final three, H O H for drew and Taylor. I think no matter what Devin's wins, but for drew and Taylor, I think they, in order to win the game, they need to win the final H O H.
[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_01] Well, I do still think drew has a great shot against Taylor. Uh, but if Taylor, if Taylor wants any hope, she needs to win final three, H O H. If drew wants to lock it up for sure, he can win final three, H O H. Um, but, uh, but yeah, well, I mean, we'll see.
[00:51:25] [SPEAKER_00] We got a jury house segment tonight and our first check in with the jury house. Uh, we had Lala and Angela who met up with the two people who went out in the double eviction in a Barrett and Yash. Uh, what do we think about our first look at the jury house?
[00:51:44] [SPEAKER_01] They were so mean about melody. Yeah.
[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_03] I don't think a while it, especially I noticed Yash like was his expression was more like rolling his eyes that melody one and not like, wow, look at her go. It was more like, yeah, she won. Of course she decides to win. It wasn't. Yeah. I mean, Lala came in right from the top was like, I want to quiz melody on all the nothing she did or whatever. It's just very interesting.
[00:52:12] [SPEAKER_01] Um, but what did melody do to them? Like what in the world?
[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_03] I don't know. I'm not going to lie. I was distracted by Angela taking things out of a prepackaged charcuterie board and putting them on a new charcuterie board. So I was just watching that.
[00:52:27] [SPEAKER_01] It's new customizing.
[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_03] Uh huh.
[00:52:31] [SPEAKER_01] Got to get it in the right order.
[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah.
[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. They seemed pretty shocked to see Yash walk in like that was not even a possibility.
[00:52:42] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, obviously Lala was rooting for Yash. I would imagine. Uh, I do think Yash will have a lot of sway in there. And I do think that he is again, I just don't think it really matters unless it's true versus Taylor. But even then it's just a matter of where the votes are. So, um, but yeah, they, they were, uh, it was interesting for sure. I don't think they want drew to win right now, but I do think he still will against Taylor.
[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_00] All right. Mary, are you going to watch eternally yours?
[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_03] Wearing a, uh, uh, twilight themed shirt. So I guess that is vampire coded. So maybe, um, uh, sure. You know what? I'll give anything a go. Once it's giving ghosts.
[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_00] Feels like, yeah, I think it's very, it's very much like, uh, I'm not sure if it's the same producers of ghosts, but it is very much like a pairing with ghosts.
[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_03] Can I say a lot of times I see these commercials and I'm like, who's watching this? Uh, and then I went and visited my grandma the other week and she's like, man, I love ghosts. Put that on. It's hilarious.
[00:53:50] Okay.
[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_00] People like it.
[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_03] I guess people.
[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_00] Um, I did think it was wild that they talked about how it's a, it's a family comedy. And then the clip that they showed was like, uh, being, uh, an appointment with Sigmund Freud and him asking like, uh, do you have sexual thoughts about your mother?
[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. That's the only clip I've seen over and over. So it's like, what?
[00:54:11] [SPEAKER_00] What? Yeah. How come Taylor didn't win a screening to go watch the premiere of Eternally Yours? Right.
[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_04] Should have. I did like that competition though. Like I, uh, I, I thought it was, you know, it was a nail biter. Even knowing the results, it was just kind of like, oh my gosh, this isn't even. Yeah. It was like the, the pieces weren't too, yeah. The pieces weren't too, too heavy. It felt like it was very fair. Um, but I did bust out laughing when, uh, D was putting hers together. I don't know if you can show this.
[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_04] Uh, it was easily for people. That's four people. I, yeah.
[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_00] Now is that wrong?
[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_04] Is that wrong? It's a nightmare.
[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_01] I couldn't believe. Cause like we get the top bird's eye view. It must've been so different to see it from the ground. I could not believe some of the obvious mistakes that were being made.
[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_03] And on, on the obvious mistakes, like I, I know big brother with its editing with the, with the, um, diary rooms during competitions, but it's still, it cracks me up when the way they edited is like, as if Taylor standing there going, what could be wrong for like, I don't know, 30 seconds. And then she's in the diary room and I had to think, well, oh, and then I noticed the hair. It's like, I'm sure she looked at it and went, oh, that's wrong. Let's swap the hair. But they make it look like you're just staring at it. The obvious mistake. Oh, so funny.
[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_01] I think it was just an appropriately difficult puzzle was the main thing. Like the puzzles are usually way too easy. And so it's just a matter of who is quick enough to do them fast. This was actually like, they actually had a puzzle to put together and it was actually difficult, which was good.
[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_04] And the way that they described it on feeds made me think it was some type of face morph situation. But I was glad it was this, they were just vampires. And then as soon as Drew started that final round, I was like, that's Ashley. But it was an easy mistake because like, uh, like dark hair.
[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I think that was his only basis. Wasn't he? He's like, yeah, he's got dark hair. Yeah, exactly. Um, I, I have to assume that the, the way they were flashing the, the pictures when you're looking for the, that they were showing a lot of people a lot of times. And then only like the people who were probably on the puzzle, like once every once in a while, that makes sense what I'm saying. Um, so that when, cause otherwise I feel like it, it would, I think you want someone to start solving it like with the wrong person.
[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_01] It did seem like the identifying part was a bit of a gimme. I did seem a little too easy.
[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_00] We got to see a vampire Jason as the answer to the puzzle. Uh, they love Jason so much that Jason, what a run for Jason. Truly. Who was what, what the third boot? Shout out to the third boots out there. One most entertaining house guest at the BBs from Cedric, the entertainer is the answer to the puzzle. Jason's going to play again.
[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, or at least host. Yeah. I easily see Jason come back for like a tea party themed episode or challenge. Totally see that happening.
[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_00] Bring the teapot back. Yeah. I can definitely see him hosting a competition next season.
[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_03] I think he, like, I would not be surprised if he's top three America's favorite. Yeah. Wow. I just, I think he's got a big fan following. I don't know. I think I could see it happening.
[00:57:49] [SPEAKER_00] Jason really did a lot with this, uh, for being somebody who was an early boot from the season. I know that, uh, he's already starting from like, uh, like having a significant fan base and a platform, but, uh, he really did a lot with the big brother, uh, season and everybody came away from the season. Be like, I love Jason.
[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:58:09] [SPEAKER_00] They should. Yeah. Yeah. So better to die a hero than to stick around long enough to become the sad sack of the season.
[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah. I think he's adored. I think he's really done a lot with social media. I mean, he was already on social media before, but now it's like, he's been so present and just like the big brother discourse that good on him.
[00:58:30] [SPEAKER_00] Mm-hmm. What else did we see in two hours of big brother tonight, Mary?
[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_03] Well, I was just thinking like, I still think that this has been refreshing for me, no matter where, where you stand on the, the drew line of love him or hate him and all the jokes about him being a vet pet and all this, or I'll just say comments, not necessarily jokes. I do feel like this feels very different from previous like icon slash returning player seasons where you usually have a bunch of people who are just like in their pocket subservient, like waiting to get dragged to the end.
[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_03] Like drew is not that like in, at least in my view, I feel like drew like has made moves, has been playing a lot of the house has been doing different things. And it's not, it's not big brother 19 where there, half the house was just like, I'll, I'll just sit here and ride to the end. And I'm not talking about Josh really, but like all the other people in that season. It's been, it's been very interesting.
[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_00] If, if he takes Devin's to the end, like Josh did with Paul, then, well, then, then we need to talk.
[00:59:36] [SPEAKER_03] Well, and it's not the same outcome. Cause I was trying to think when I was on the podcast here, like what they're, they're not again, Devin's is not a returning player, but like for almost all of the other returning players, um, that we've, we've had you, I don't know if we've had as many people that we would have a hundred percent said, if they make it to the end, they win against everyone. Like we're saying about Devin's.
[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_03] Like, I think that there were, you know, like Paul is the first one that comes to mind, but I'm sure, I'm sure plenty of the other ones. Like, I don't even think Rachel, if she had gotten to the end, we would have been saying a hundred percent, she wins in any scenario, you know? Um, so I don't know. I just think that this feels, this feels different than other seasons. And maybe it's just because they're not actually big brother players. And that's what feels different about it. I'm sorry. Big brother 19 was my first season. So it's the one that comes to mind.
[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_04] I hate, but now they are big brother players. Like, I think no one can look back on this and be like, Oh, Devin's like, he's a survivor player. He's not a big, I think he is. He's now a big brother and survivor player.
[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, if he wins, I think he's a big brother player more than a survivor at that point.
[01:00:47] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. That's going to be so interesting. And like, I had been, I don't even remember where I was talking about this, but Rick Devin said like the, the open era Asia, like the whole open era was designed about Rick Devin's completely created this era of survivor in the image of Rick Devin's. And that's not just speculation. I was at the survivor 51 kickoff and I did an interview with Jeff.
[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_00] And I said, Jeff, it feels to me like that Rick Devin's was such a big character in survivor 50, his joy. He flipped the coin. He had the attitude of like, Hey, I'm just going to go for it. It feels to me like that's the attitude that you want to instill in the players in this open era. And he's like, yeah, that's exactly what we're trying to do. So he's sort of like ended up being like, they tried to like clone his DNA for survivors into the open era.
[01:01:41] [SPEAKER_00] And then a big brother stole him away and he might be a big brother winner.
[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_04] What a, what an epic couple of years. Yeah.
[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah.
[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, he could have been in the advantage shack or whatever.
[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Yeah. So that was going to be like, uh, like, you know, if, if the time, the dining room time machine table, uh, was different. Yeah. He might've been, uh, on survivor 41. If it wasn't for Mike white.
[01:02:11] [SPEAKER_01] Well, yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, if his first season wasn't a edge of extinction, he was what? Like a fourth boot. Like, uh, that would have been it. Who knows? So true. It would have been. Yeah. Knows what this season would have been.
[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_03] Oh my God. So is going to come back and be the new Enzo time travel guy of the season. Next season.
[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_01] A thousand percent.
[01:02:33] [SPEAKER_00] I really do think that Rick Devins, if he goes on to win this season, I do think that he like that he becomes like one of the faces of big brother also. Yeah.
[01:02:44] Yeah.
[01:02:45] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I mean, he plays ball. They love him. I think so. Um, you know, he is like a presenter and like, has like, like TV experience. I think that they start to use, uh, Rick Devins in a lot of different spots. Um, I, I am very curious to see what if, if, if Drew can somehow win the season, I'm very curious to see like what his future is. That's the one that I have the hardest time trying to imagine because I do feel like that
[01:03:14] [SPEAKER_00] he's been such a big character on the show. Uh, he is polarizing, uh, that he is, uh, quite popular with some quite, uh, unpopular with some. And I, I just, um, I think it's going to be such an interesting journey for him no matter what.
[01:03:29] [SPEAKER_01] I've, I think, uh, as soon as he is, uh, allowed, he is on the challenge. Um, interesting because I think whether or not he wins, honestly, because I think at this point they will want him and he really wants to do it. Uh, I don't think he should. I think he actually could probably go bigger, but, uh, but he really wants to do the challenge. So I think he might just like jump at that opportunity.
[01:03:57] [SPEAKER_03] Sorry. I lost your Evans.
[01:03:59] [SPEAKER_01] Sorry. Drew. No, Drew.
[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. I was picturing that. I'm like, I don't think Kevin should do the challenge.
[01:04:04] [SPEAKER_01] You were giving me that face the whole time. I was like, man, Mary really disagrees with this.
[01:04:08] [SPEAKER_03] My brain was, I'm just like, I just don't see, I mean, maybe if they did another, like all CBS.
[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_00] Can you imagine Rick on the challenge? No, I can't. That's why I was making that face. Hey, hey. You gotta call it. I'm like the dad here.
[01:04:21] [SPEAKER_03] Sorry.
[01:04:21] [SPEAKER_00] Johnny bananas. I zoned out for one second. You're like my son.
[01:04:24] [SPEAKER_03] Look, this season has been the bane of my existence with all these people making it this far that have D names. It's like all, all my notes, D Devin drew. I can't keep up with all them. Okay. I wasn't the only one. The chat also thought we were talking about Devin for a second.
[01:04:38] [SPEAKER_04] It was a quick shift to drew, but yeah. Did we talk about the, what the speculation of what this fight is in this jury preview that we got?
[01:04:48] [SPEAKER_00] Like a little bit. What do you think Asia?
[01:04:51] [SPEAKER_04] I'm wondering, are they just there's like, like we were talking about, like, what was that heat for melody winning all of a sudden? I think that's carried over into her coming and to, um, or like making her entry into the jury house. Like, they're just like, who do you think you are winning an HOH and blockbuster all of a sudden? Because it's just like, why are y'all arguing?
[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. It seems like there was already like, apparently they had spawned this whole like roller coaster melody. The she's a coaster, uh, thing. Cause apparently they hate her now. Um, and, uh, and then when she renums Yash in the tape, they're like, what an idiot. Uh, and Barrett's like, well, I think maybe she was just hoping that one of the big targets would leave. And then Angela was like, but now she's going to be next.
[01:05:42] [SPEAKER_01] And so when she walks in, Angela, like when she did to Barrett is going to go, ah, roller coaster melody. Look at you. Shouldn't have renommed Yash. Should have put up your boyfriend drew. Uh, and Melody's gonna be like, no, I wanted Yash gone. Like, oh no, no, you didn't. You're stupid. You're a coaster. Uh, I, that's, this is my prediction.
[01:06:04] [SPEAKER_00] Listen, Angela knows how to get screen time. Okay. That it's killing her being in the jury house and not having any fights, not having any call outs. So she's due justice for Melody on that one.
[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I feel like, I feel like if I'm in the jury house, I'm like, I need to be able to just sit here and talk. We cannot be doing TV again. Yep.
[01:06:33] [SPEAKER_00] Can I, can I give, uh, Taryn, uh, credit for another thing that he called that came true that when drew talk to Melody on the telephone, uh, that he, he saw the vision of where it was going to be in the episode and, and, and it was just as good as I could have hoped.
[01:06:55] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. They, they love drew. I mean, he is the main character of these episodes at this point. Uh, and, um, and I mean, he's giving them, he's giving them the content. Like this is so traumatic. Yeah.
[01:07:11] [SPEAKER_00] He's helping them make a TV show.
[01:07:13] [SPEAKER_03] I'm sure they're thrilled.
[01:07:14] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah.
[01:07:15] [SPEAKER_03] But I, I wish they could have just been like, Hey, true. This is a great segment. Can you pick up that water bottle? Cause we want to slow zoom in on the phone. And it's like really distracting that there's like a dirty water bottle sideways next to it. Like laying on the floor under the couch. That bothered me.
[01:07:28] [SPEAKER_01] And it's, that's a tactic. Uh, they did that in game of Thrones too. It was a really.
[01:07:35] [SPEAKER_03] Oh my gosh.
[01:07:36] [SPEAKER_00] Like I, I, I know it's like a, it's a social experiment and everything, but there's a lot of people who are working hard and trying to make a TV show and, uh, I'm sure they appreciate it when people are trying to make good TV.
[01:07:47] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Also because it actually did happen in this episode, despite the fact that we known it for a couple of days, I do want to shout out Taylor for really coming in clutch and winning this challenge when like, if she hadn't, you know, the fact that she's as much in the conversation about final three as she is, I think was hugely elevated by her winning this and just not even having to be part of the like threat to go home at all.
[01:08:15] [SPEAKER_01] I, I loved the celebration. I love some of my favorite moments on big brother. It's always final four. Uh, it feels like when somebody wins that final four, HOH, sometimes the veto too. There's especially if they haven't won many comps prior to this, there's just this, this raw, like passionate burst of emotion that they just can't control. Uh, and it's so fun to watch for me every time.
[01:08:45] [SPEAKER_01] And this was a great one.
[01:08:46] [SPEAKER_04] It was euphoric. I just, I felt it through the screen. It was just, I was so happy to see her finally get a win, uh, like to, to win HOH since it's been so long since week one that she got that veto. Um, and then the best reward was she got Kehlani by Kehlani, Kehlani self-titled album. Everyone loved it. Everyone was listening to her album all week. I went and saw Kehlani in concert a couple of weeks ago. Amazing.
[01:09:16] [SPEAKER_04] And now, uh, it's like now, uh, Kehlani is aware that she was listening. So it's possible that she could be going to see her in concert for free. But I just had to shout out Kehlani's album because it's been a repeat for me since the moment it came out. So I love seeing it in the big brother house.
[01:09:33] [SPEAKER_00] Kehlani, if you're watching the recap, please invite Asia to the concert next, please. Yes. Thank you. Uh, but it was fun that Taylor won that final four HOH because it's like, I was reminded of a BB 20, uh, where, uh, that they, they, they forgot about JC and then he wins the final four HOH. And then Angela has to go home because it's like, okay, well now, all right, Angela and
[01:10:02] [SPEAKER_00] Tyler and Casey, we're going to go to the final three. So, uh, that's always a fun one when the person that's supposed to go home wins the HOH killed Tyler's whole game.
[01:10:10] [SPEAKER_01] Well, because he also threw the veto, but yeah.
[01:10:15] [SPEAKER_00] Um, anything else from two hours tonight?
[01:10:21] [SPEAKER_04] I love D's fit tonight. Really cute. Yes. I want to know where that's from. Yes. I love the, the, the, how, how it fit. It was, uh, it was like just my style. So I didn't know where she got that. Okay. And I do think that ending when the credits were rolling with the champagne was very, um, it, it represented. Uh, Drew's game.
[01:10:45] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah. Yeah.
[01:10:46] [SPEAKER_04] Devin's to help him pop this bottle of champagne.
[01:10:48] [SPEAKER_03] I was so confused why they were going three, two, one, because I was like, yeah, that you're the final three, the final three, two, one. Yep. I didn't realize that Drew was trying to get with. They were trying to build up to three, two, one pop. And I was like, oh, but also me, because even if it's pointed completely far away from me, I will not open one of those things. Something's going to happen. It's going to be a cartoon ricochet hit me in the face. Let's not mess with that.
[01:11:12] [SPEAKER_04] Can you imagine production trying to be like, oh, we got it. We got to cut. We got to, we got to end the show, but it hasn't happened. We can't, we can't just end the show.
[01:11:20] [SPEAKER_03] I thought they were going to cut away.
[01:11:30] [SPEAKER_00] We have left in this big brother season. So there was a little bit of back and forth in terms of what this week was going to look like. I think it was supposed to be originally a one hour episode tonight and then a one hour episode tomorrow. And then Sunday, they ended up going two hours tonight. No big brother tomorrow. And then big brother is back on Sunday night for what I presume will be a recap episode heading into the beginning of part one of the HOH. Does that sound right to you, Taryn?
[01:11:59] [SPEAKER_01] Sounds right to me. I would assume.
[01:12:01] [SPEAKER_00] I believe it's a 930 Eastern start time. Sam, can you confirm? Is that, is that entailed? Is a 90 minute episode on a 930 start time? I know things get a little wonky with the Sunday schedule. Okay. So one hour episode, 930 PM Eastern. And then one week from tonight, the finale of big brother 28 is how let's take a guess. How long?
[01:12:31] [SPEAKER_00] 90 minute finale. Sounds right. Okay. All right. And then big brother will come to a conclusion. Taryn, you have an update on live feed updates for the rest of the way.
[01:12:49] [SPEAKER_01] Yes. Yes. Tomorrow is going to be at noon. Noon. And then we're just going to, we're just going to keep them at noon for the rest of the week. Because, you know, why, why not? Why not just have them at noon Eastern? As we come to a close here. There's going to be a little bit less to talk about. We can start getting, we can start getting a little more sleep. And by we, I mean me.
[01:13:14] [SPEAKER_01] And, and the final update will also, will take place once the feeds end, which will probably be a bit later than 11 a.m. Eastern anyway. So we're just going to, we're going to just, instead of like, okay, some of them are at noon. We're just going to do all of them at noon for the rest of the last few days here.
[01:13:34] [SPEAKER_00] Noon Eastern, the rest of the way on the live feed update. A lot of other stuff going on as well. We announced our live show, Washington, DC. Head on over to robinswebs.com slash events. We got a lot of fun guests coming for this one. You don't want to miss it. Robinswebs.com slash events. We've talked about the live feed update last night. Steven Fishback and I got together in person.
[01:14:00] [SPEAKER_00] So a fun night together with Steven on a podcast that we did. Very rare that Steven and I are in the same room recording the know-it-alls. So that was very fun. And then just before this episode started, I got done recording with Tiffany Nicole Irvin also in person this week. We had a great talk this afternoon. That should be up for you on Friday. So look for that, our recap of episode one of Survivor 51.
[01:14:31] [SPEAKER_00] Normally, patron Q&A, I do it on Friday afternoons. I'm going to be flying home from Los Angeles. Finally, I will be back at my house, believe it or not. And I will be on live at 7 p.m. Eastern for talk about the Survivor. I guess people could call in and ask a question about Big Brother if you want to. 7 p.m. Eastern for patron Q&A on Sunday night.
[01:14:55] [SPEAKER_00] And then on Monday, it's going to be a double dip of Club Condo and The Slop with Chappelle. That's going to be live for the patrons at 7 p.m. Eastern to talk about all the nonsense going on in the world of Survivor and Big Brother. And then, Mary, we're very excited to bring this back for the patrons this Saturday. A huge event. A live edition of The Floor.
[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_03] Woo woo. Woo woo. Yes. I spoke with Matt today. We're both ready. Are we going to mix up the costumes? Possibly. Maybe new wigs. But yeah, very, very exciting to do another round of this. So if you weren't at Rapcon and you're a patron and you want to check out The Floor, definitely do. It'll be a great time.
[01:15:41] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And if you're wondering what this is at Rapcon, we did this in person. It was such a big hit. I said, hey, could we do this virtually? And so we are going to be having what how many a huge number of patrons are going to be playing virtually hosted by Mary and Matt Scott. I also saw in the chat Summer of Stein. Where's that? I'm going to get together with Eric, I believe, on Monday of next week. Then also Mary and Mike Bloom got together for Survivor Game.
[01:16:09] [SPEAKER_00] How was Survivor Game Night week one?
[01:16:11] [SPEAKER_03] It was fun. We had a lot of participants, a lot of viewers, and we had over 200 people playing along. So we might extend the time a little bit for for next week. But yeah, we had a great time. Mike Bloom and myself creating some Survivor themed games to get you hype before each episode.
[01:16:28] [SPEAKER_00] OK, patrons join us before every Survivor episode of the season for Survivor Game Night. And then stay tuned because I've got the Traders New Blood recap coming up. Episodes that there were. Hey, did you all know there were two hours of the Traders New Blood on tonight? I heard. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you like it, Rob? I am enjoying it. It's been it's been very fun.
[01:16:57] [SPEAKER_00] I'll be listen. There's so much going on right now. I can enjoy the Traders more when there's a little less happening. It's weird timing. It kind of dropped out of nowhere. It's weird timing. There's actually no and there's actually no episode next week of the Traders New Blood. But Pooja and I have have recorded a podcast. And I don't know when this is coming out, Sam. Yeah. That Sam says the finale is 90 minutes now. OK. It says.
[01:17:26] [SPEAKER_00] Did he not hit enter on that? That was an older message. All right. All right. Then we've got. Stay tuned for that, everybody. All right. There you go. All right. Mary, what else is coming up for you?
[01:17:39] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, well, as you saw, I'm pretty much just moonlighting as a game show host at this point.
[01:17:44] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Look at you.
[01:17:46] [SPEAKER_03] So, yeah, mostly that. But, yeah, you know, I'm here. That's pretty much it. You can follow me everywhere at Frail Mary if you want to keep up with all of that.
[01:17:57] [SPEAKER_00] Asia, besides playing with all the dogs at your house, what else is going on for you?
[01:18:02] [SPEAKER_04] Well, we did see the announcement that Love is Blind is coming back October 14th. So glad that's after Big Brother ends. Of course, everything else is still on, but we will be back to cover that. You can follow me at Asia like Asia, A-Y-S-H-A like A-S-I-A to see everything else going on. Have still talking Meredith at first sight with Jason Reed, as well as my podcast with my girlfriend called Life by Us. That's life B-I-S.
[01:18:28] [SPEAKER_04] We actually had Jacob Jones on last week and talked about his music career. And that was really fun. So, yeah, fun night tonight.
[01:18:35] [SPEAKER_00] Jacob's a great guest.
[01:18:37] [SPEAKER_04] He is. He's so fun.
[01:18:40] [SPEAKER_00] All right.

But I still make a bunch of stuff. We'll be doing stuff in the offseason. I'll be doing stuff in the offseason on my Patreon. We'll be watching Survivor, Trader's New Blood, Devil's Plan Season 3. Lots of fun stuff. Lots of fun stuff over on my patrons. Come and check it out.
