BB28 Thursday Eviction Ep Recap, Week 3
Also available on YouTube.
Big Brother 28 has the house on edge as tensions spike following a tough eviction night and growing controversy around certain playersβ social media history. Rob Cesternino, Taran Armstrong, Mike Bloom, and Kirsten MacInnis, guide listeners through this weekβs eviction fallout, eviction number 3, and what it means for the shifting alliances and possible resistance in the house.
This episode dives deep into Kamuβs problematic behavior both inside and outside the house, and the difficult eviction of Jason, who leaves as a celebrated fan favorite after a bruising house campaign against him. The HoH competition, dubbed βVideotape Tumble,β sees Mallory clutch a close win, shifting the focus from Jasonβs likely continued isolation to whether Mallory, Lyric, and Melody (the βGiggle Girlsβ) can turn the tide against the dominant alliance, often referred to as βthe Toolshed.β The recap covers why a resistance failed to form, most notably how Drew and Barrett talk about flipping, but never pull the trigger, and explores the emotional toll of the week, especially for Jason.
- Mike notes that Mallory staying may be better for the underdog allianceβs chances than if Jason had remained as an isolated target.
- Taran and Rob Cesternino break down the failed vote flip, showing how Taylorβs indecision and Drew/Barrettβs reluctance leave the Toolshed in power.
- Kirsten highlights the sharp, heartfelt exit speech Jason gave and the positive fan response he gets upon leaving.
- The hosts discuss the close and well-produced Blockbuster competition, the lack of DR shoutouts, and whether props like Angelaβs βevil eyeβ necklace really shift the houseβs energy.
With Malloryβs win giving a glimmer of hope to the outsiders, will the younger houseguests and the βGiggle Girlsβ finally band together to challenge the core alliance next week? Find out how the shifting sands could change in the next eviction by listening to the full episode.

[00:00:08] Hey everybody, what's going on? Rob Cesternino back with you on a Thursday night eviction number three when things are looking a little bleak right now. We'll see what happens next and you never know. Hope could only be one live feed update away. But at this hour, the state of the events in the Big Brother house are not going great.
[00:00:35] We'll talk about it all here from tonight. Back with us, it's Taryn Armstrong. Taryn, how are you? Sorry, Rob, I'd like to be called Miss Dracula. Yes, okay. Miss Dracula. Suck up all the blood off of people's hands. Whoa. Adding a dark tone to that that did not exist in the show, Taryn.
[00:00:58] Yes, okay. And now, Taryn, you said that, you know, the lights weren't working and it was very mood lighting and now appropriate mood lighting. Exactly, exactly. You were ahead of the curve. Exactly. Yes. All right. Also, back with us, it's Kirsten McKinnis. Kirsten, how are you? You know, it's bittersweet. Always happy to yap with all of you, but not stoked about the events of tonight.
[00:01:28] You know, I sat there drinking my water calmly with good intentions today. It didn't work out. No more positive witchcraft we need as Medea is back in the house. Get him. Yep. Yes. We talked about it on The Slop this week. The return of the Etsy witch was going to manifest things, and it did not work in principle, although in terms of the love for Jason,
[00:01:57] Jason ends up being, you know, a heralded hero walking out of the Big Brother house. So, perhaps, maybe we need to be more specific on the spells. Back with us also. Yes. It's Mike Bloom. Give it up for Mike Bloom. Ah, yes. Tough night. Tough boot here. Tough golden boot.
[00:02:19] But, listen, Jason had to go out the way Mother Nature intended for a drag queen to teabag as many people as he possibly could on the way out. Yes. And Julie was, give Julie a prop. She is going to milk it. She was so happy to be able to. She might have been the only person who was rooting for Jason to get voted out tonight so she could do the teapot pit. But she was so, in such good spirits with all of that.
[00:02:49] But at least somebody was having fun tonight. I mean, I might wager this is one of Julie's better exit interviews in recent memory. Like, as you mentioned, you can tell when Julie is really into somebody. And I feel like she actually got to some interesting questions about his game. Obviously, a tough time to distill things, steep things, if you will, down to a select few questions. But I think she was able to get it done while also letting him know how supported he was, especially over the course of the past few days.
[00:03:16] Yeah. And we will have an exit interview coming up with Jason. I know Mike Bloom will as well over on Parade.com. Tara and I will have our exit interview coming up with Jason tomorrow morning. And then live feed update coming up at noon Eastern or sometime, hopefully, shortly thereafter, as we'll find out who the next HOH might end up being.
[00:03:41] But this was a tough, tough afternoon and night here on the Big Brother streets because, on top of everything, there was already a lot of discourse already this week about how this was a really tough watch to see Kamu really go after Jason and really single him out.
[00:04:01] And then this afternoon, really, all of social media exploded with people resharing the disgusting display from Kamu, who was β and I know that we have people who listen to the podcast who aren't on social media.
[00:04:17] But that there were clips from his Instagram story, I presume, where he seemed to be laughing about a person who was being detained by the police. He said, bro, thinks he's George Floyd and laughing, which is disgusting behavior to begin with, but then also to be sharing also rather disgusting and kind of mind-boggling that somehow this passed through.
[00:04:47] Whatever background check goes forward when you get cast onto Big Brother. I know, as somebody who has been through the casting ringer in the not-too-distant past, I feel like they look up a lot of stuff. You give them all your social media handles. I don't know how we're missing this stuff. It was saved to the highlights. Like, it's still there.
[00:05:13] Like, not only did he think that, record it, post it, and share it, he highlighted it to permanently save it on his profile. And, like, this is, what, December as well, 2025? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know how the stuff ends up getting missed. I mean, we pulled a guy because we found out he was on The Circle in the preseason.
[00:05:42] Well, it's also, like, you know, we both, Rob, just watched Love Island, where apparently this is happening, like, all over the place, that even once they go on the show, they're getting pulled for things being discovered on social media. That's not really been Big Brother's MO, but I think there are probably a lot of people in the audience that have that kind of expectation, maybe because they've just watched Love Island recently or whatever. But, yeah, it's been a lot.
[00:06:12] And there's been a lot of posts about this. And, honestly, I don't even know how people find it or not find it. I don't understand any of it. But, yeah, clearly they should be doing a better job. Yeah. I don't really understand even how it all just exploded today after people, you know, have known about Kamu's social media for weeks and weeks. I don't know. I understand if something new got unlocked that people ended up finding.
[00:06:39] But, really, everywhere you looked this afternoon, it was all that people were talking about in the online communities and also amongst the alumni. And certainly, like, I had numerous people texting me about this. And so, really, really upsetting to find this out, especially on this week where everything played out the way that it did.
[00:07:03] And then also a real punch in the gut also than to have Jason go out on this. The only silver lining is that Jason ends up leaving and coming back to a world that is, you know, truly welcoming and exciting, excited for him. He found out also he was in the top three of America's vote every week. That was a really great moment.
[00:07:32] I mean, Mike already mentioned it, but I really do think this was, like, a top Julie interview of all time, really. It was such a stark contrast to last week's with Rome. But, I mean, such warmth, the teapot sort of prop, but also, like, asking great questions about, like, why didn't you work with... That's a question I wanted to ask him. Why not expose yourself to the vets?
[00:08:00] And then the moment of... I saw that, Mike. The moment of telling him, hey, you said America hates you. That's not true. You were in the... And I thought she was going to say you would have won the power tonight because I thought that was a possibility. But she said not only potentially that, but you were in the top three every time, which I think does make sense.
[00:08:24] I do think that there were people, especially, like, the more casual audience that did not like him very much. But a vote for people to win, I think it makes sense that there were a lot of people that were voting for him even prior to this week's vote. And to see his reaction to knowing that he had that much support, you know, and hopefully, you know, this is the sort of thing that he will be seeing when he gets his phone back and all of that.
[00:08:50] But to get to see that moment on the show with Julie, to be immediately sort of given that grace and empathy and companionship that was kind of, like, denied to him in the house was really cool to see. And it took just a tiny bit of the sting out of the episode, which is exactly what Julie should be there to do, in my opinion. And I thought she did it phenomenally.
[00:09:12] Yeah, I mean, it's also a very unconventional reaction from Jason as well, because I think the vast majority of the time we have people leaving the house thinking that they are adored by America. That is a consistent runner throughout the house. I love to track who people think is going to win AFP. But I think Jason was obviously a little flabbergasted when Angela stood up and said, America, put me in this egg to protect me from you. And I think he took that to heart.
[00:09:40] It is surprising that he finished in the top three the first week, considering there were three vets. He ended up outranking one of the vets even in the first time capsule vote. So that says a lot. I know Jason felt bad that the drag race community did not come for him. And certainly people came for him for that. But I agree. I think that it was something that he needed to hear on the moment, especially, you know, when he had a comment that certainly has been discussed about how he felt like he was the only quote unquote me in there.
[00:10:07] I think he has been missing that sense of community, especially the past few days. And to be welcomed into that by just a skosh of a comment, I'm sure meant the world to him. Yeah. And Kirsten, I think that when Jason comes out of the house, I think that he also will be saddened, but in some ways heartened to know that he was right about Kamu.
[00:10:34] So 100 percent like listen, did Jason make all the best game moves all the time? No. But that final speech really showed that Jason did have a sphinker on exactly the pulse of what was happening, but wasn't able to do anything about it. And now he's going to come up, come out, see the truth of exactly who he was trapped in a house with and get to be outside in the world and community and be absolutely beloved.
[00:11:01] Even by people that were down on him literally two weeks ago. And I suspect that he will be on Kamu's ass on the outside with a very large megaphone, not the kind that a wall yeller might use. But I think that he will be a very fun follow from here on out as he is watching the season play out. Oh, my God. Jason, call me. We could we can. Yeah, please.
[00:11:33] Yeah. So we'll see. I thought that really one of the better speeches that I can remember in terms of really summing things up. Taryn, how do you think about Jason's speech? I mean, I think he he did as much as he could. Yeah, really. There was no hope here. What we saw in the episode was that there was an initial idea started by Melody that they could potentially do this.
[00:12:00] And there were some amount of people on board. We did ultimately see that Taylor jumped ship. Drew had also been a force against the Jason flip in particular. There's a lot more to the story, of course. But ultimately, by the next morning, the idea of keeping Jason had already been shut down. And the rest of the focus went to the Mallory versus Lala vote. So Jason not winning this blockbuster meant that it was game over.
[00:12:28] And from that point, like, you know, there's always a balance of like, if you know, it's you're dead in the water. Should you just make a big splash or should you actually still try to see if there's anything that you can muster in a speech? And I feel like he he mostly went for just trying just like maybe there's any amount of small chance while still making a bit of a splash. So certainly a lot better than like, you know, it's been a great experience and shout out to my family. And thank you.
[00:12:57] Do it to your heart. If I can help you. It's been such a wonderful summer with all of you and hags, you know, it's the rest of this summer. I thought I was talking to one side of the house when he said hags. Yeah. You know, so I do feel like these votes we've seen 14-0, 12-1, 12-0 so far. Not really some fun Thursday nights in terms of the vote.
[00:13:24] I did feel like that this episode was very much structured similarly to last Thursday's episode about, oh, Rome. OK, oh, we got it. Is there a way we got to keep Rome in the house? We're going to have a vote to keep Rome. Oh, look who's in the middle. Well, it's Barrett and Drew, the two hype men of Thursday night who are going to come in every week and tell us how, hey, America, we know what's going on. We're in the middle of it.
[00:13:51] Don't worry about everything because here's Barrett tonight. Soon enough in this game, I am going to have to start voting for the people that I like to stay in the game or else I'm going to have nobody that I like left. While I am like the next person up as the eighth person in an eight-person alliance. So not interested in that at all. Not interested in that. Now, in fairness, he's talking about that he has to keep Mallory. Here's Drew talking about the vote tonight.
[00:14:20] I don't care who pisses off. I'll keep Mallory no matter what. And if you can keep Mallory over Lala, do you think Barrett and I can also keep Jason over Lala? Let's get this game exciting. Let's play Big Brother. Yeah, let's do it. Let's freaking do it. Next week, Rob, not this week. Next week. Yes. Taryn, had Mallory stayed on the block tonight? How were Drew and Barrett going to vote?
[00:14:45] If Jason had won the blockbuster, Drew and Barrett were voting out Mallory. Let's play Big Brother. Let's do it. Come on. Yeah. Not great. I mean, I got to give kudos to Melody as well. Melody is slowly becoming Miss Thursday Night, actually giving us content between the turning
[00:15:12] things against Ashley two weeks ago, this time being like, why don't we create a vote against Jason as Taryn has, you know, elaborated on over the past couple of days. Even she quickly turned on the idea soon thereafter. But I think even she knew like, I got to pad out this Thursday episode. Somehow we got a whole half hour until the blockbuster kicks off. So let me just create some stuff, you know, have these guys be one Mitch finger wag away from making their big move. It's giving Mitch guys. To be fair to Melody.
[00:15:41] Like, it very much was like she was like, all right, guys, let's go out tonight. It's going to be a good time. Let's why not? Let's just do it. And she was greeted with a collective like, maybe I don't know. I'm kind of tired. And she was like, come on. And they were like, I guess so. She's like, all right, fine. We don't have to go. So, yeah, I didn't even want to go anyway. That's kind of how it went.
[00:16:12] Kirsten, what were you saying? I was going to say, Rob, is it too soon in the season? What is your assessment on Barrett and Drew? Are they losers or nah? Yeah, it's a bit of an anointment to call them losers. Johnny Mac. That's true. The new pots and pans. Hey, only winners have been called losers by Rob Cessarnino. So I will. But this time the pot literally met Kettle. So everything's different. Yeah, look, I know we're impatient out here.
[00:16:41] We want to see some action. And I think for those guys, I think that Mallory did save them by winning the blockbuster and save them from having to do something that I think would not have been in their best interest. So I think that ultimately they might be winners of the night in terms of Mallory winning the blockbuster and what the structure of the house might be moving forward.
[00:17:06] Taryn, Jason was the exciting wild card who could have won a power, could have easily won an HOH and had some fireworks happen. But I do feel like that the hope for the resistance in the house, I think, is a little bit greater with Mallory staying over Jason. What do you think about that? I agree with that.
[00:17:29] I think that Jason, as sort of Drew outlined, would have been more along the lines of like a Keanu role. Not in the sort of like not understanding the house dynamic sense, but in the like they just keep trying to get him out. Yes. And it's hard for him to build much of a coalition because all of the relationships or most of the relationships that he had in the game have been kind of like tarnished in one way or another.
[00:17:58] And so that's part of why the flip didn't work for him. It was that they were like, yeah, we'd like to keep him, but we don't really have a great like actual working relationship with him. We would just be keeping him as a guy to like win comps and take heat off of us. Whereas with Mallory, it was like we want Mallory to win comps and take heat off of us and we work well with her and we have a good relationship and she's part of our group and all of that.
[00:18:25] So, yeah, in that sense, you could say that Mallory is more likely to be able to rise or have like a rising resistance against this structure. I mean, I'll come out and say it may be a bit of a hot take. I adore Jason. Incredible TV character. Supremely enjoyed my three weeks with him. If it's between him and Mallory, I am happier that Mallory stayed. Yeah, because I'm thinking about, OK, if Jason survives,
[00:18:55] and let's say the tool shed continues to win power, he's going right back up. We're having the exact same situation as last week where he's going to be socially isolated. He's going to be nominated, if not outright backdoored. We've heard this song and dance before, and it hasn't been the most fun, upbeat song and dance for the past few days. And I think that Jason also felt incredibly miserable, understandably so, given everything that happened in the aftermath of the Tea Party.
[00:19:22] To Kirsten's point, I don't think necessarily the position he was in was unwarranted by any means. But if it's OK, Jason stays and then we're in for another one week, men, three to five weeks max of him just being put up again and again and again and consistently being ostracized by people. That's not particularly enjoyable television, in my opinion. A hundred percent. Haley was like, yeah, we'll emotionally isolate him.
[00:19:48] And so I don't love watching someone get emotionally isolated for weeks on end. As much as I wish it could have been different for Jason, I'd rather him be, again, out in the world, in community, with people who are giving him praise and showing that he is loved and not making him feel bad.
[00:20:09] Also feels like, and we had a scene in the episode tonight where when they were talking about potentially keeping Jason, you had the group of the younger people in the house. Oh, yeah, the lyric and melody and Mallory and then Yash comes out, Taylor comes out and Drew and Barrett. And it feels like this could be this could be something right. Like, hey, we're all like the younger people in the house. Like this could be we could we could turn this whole thing over.
[00:20:36] And it feels like that, you know, the the the core of that seems to be, you know, Mallory and lyric and melody who seem to have a real friendship. And it's that they could build something around that. It just feels like that you've drew and Barrett who are too wishy washy to be able to really throw in. But, you know, one one H.O.H.
[00:21:02] Yeah, I mean, I think I think that the the honestly the thing that got me the most like, oh, this could happen was Devin's talking to Kamu saying, yeah, I mean, if they flipped on us and then they won power. It'd be us in trouble like that, like the whole game would be turned on its head. We hope that doesn't happen. And it's the fact that they are able to recognize that.
[00:21:30] But Drew and Barrett are not ultimately that that this is not happening. And it's so true. They could they could have flipped this vote. They could have voted out Lala kept both Jason and Mallory. They would have a huge majority over a small six person group on the other side. They'd have a great shot at winning this H.O.H. So only five of those six would be competing and then they could just throw three of them on the block. And yes, the diamond power of veto changes all of that.
[00:21:59] But still, that's a really good move to make. It's like that is certainly a way that you could move forward, especially if you're in a Drew and Barrett situation where they're planning on targeting you. Drew in particular, as early as this week, this coming week that is happening. That is from the feeds. They are done with Drew and he is on not just their radar. He is head in the guillotine. He just hasn't felt it yet. Yeah.
[00:22:26] Yeah, I I feel like, though, it reminds me more and more why we were so spoiled by the unicorn situation that was the leftovers. Like, I feel like that has given us so much false hope of like, OK, but if all the people who are outside of the big alliance came together, they have the numbers and they can take dismantle the empire from within. If we have enough rebels when we show that the majority of the time here, it's less so about, OK, it's seven versus seven.
[00:22:55] It's seven versus two and one and two and one and two like on in paper again. And Melody was doing a good job trying to accrue the numbers here. But I think this is credit to the people in the tool shed. They were able to make bonds to grab some of those stray electrons and pull them into the respective atoms. You know, Devin's and Kamu make a final three with Taylor. Obviously, you know, Lyric has her connections. Feels like she's in good.
[00:23:20] It's this this allure for some of these people, even outside the Drew and Barrett of like, OK, well, they're not going to be the final eight. So like I know that I can be included in here, feel protected by the safety of the group while they pick off the other outsiders. And then when they inevitably implode, which they're already kind of looking to do, then I can sort of worm my way in there. I think that's the path that a lot of people are looking to take. Yes, I think that, of course, would it have been great to have this big line in the sand moment? Absolutely. It is week three.
[00:23:49] There were 12 people voting again. The leftovers was an incredibly rare. It was Haley's big brother comet here. And I don't think it's passage of the sky. Thog's comet. No, not that one. Yes. So. I also feel like tonight was a win for Taylor.
[00:24:09] And I think that Taylor ends up getting a win, not just because I thought she came across great on the episode, but also because that she did not have to cast a vote against Mallory and send Mallory home, which keeps her at least still more connected to that side of the house. Taryn, is that fair? They very much knew that she was not like they are very frustrated with her.
[00:24:36] She is in many ways the reason a reason why the whole thing was called off. I would not say that she escapes the consequences of this. And on top of that, she didn't even get the chance to like get any amount of credit with the Kamu and Devon's side of it, which is another angle of why she didn't vote this way or didn't agree to the vote, by the way, in the episode.
[00:25:02] She talked about being close to Lala, but there was another big part of this, which is that Devon's and Kamu have or she really made an alliance with Devon's and Kamu, who then leveraged that alliance to make sure that she would vote the way that they wanted. And she didn't want to ruin those relationships. The problem is because she had already previously been on the side of voting out Lala. They that came back to them and they felt like she's being wishy washy. They didn't trust that she was going to vote with them. And now she didn't have a chance to prove it.
[00:25:29] So she really kind of has the worst of both worlds right now, in my opinion. Yeah, but she also is nobody's target going into this week. I mean, there's certainly a scenario where she could hit the block, but it feels like that she would at best be a pawn. Do we know what she might do if she won an HOH? Is she going for an HOH? She I mean, in her mind, she's aligned with Devon's and Kamu because she sees Angela and D as running.
[00:25:59] The show with Haley as their minion doesn't see, of course, that they're obviously working with Devon's and Kamu. But but I think that she would be mostly inclined to angle in that direction. But again, given that Devon's and Kamu will have some influence, I would imagine they point her in the direction of Drew. They'll have a bunch of information to drop on Drew. I would not be at this point super confident to say I know exactly where she would go.
[00:26:29] Yeah. But but, you know, there's a chance she would would strike at Angela and D and Haley. Yeah. OK, I'll keep fingers crossed there. I won't put as much stock in that as I thought. You're in the clubhouse right now. Like, who are we? As Kirsten said, who are we like using blood sacrifices at the altar of Osmodeus to win HOH tonight? Melody and Mallory. The tape queen. The tape queen.
[00:26:59] Melody and Mallory are the only two I'd feel super confident with. Lyric, I think, would also. But Lyric has more to lose. She's done a great job of convincing the other side that she's just an airhead. And while secretly knowing that there are two sides, I can't imagine that she would be super excited to blow her cover. But I think she would be willing to. Barrett should theoretically be targeting at least the red corner, but can't trust it.
[00:27:27] Drew should theoretically need it, but he probably would take it and not realize for the entire week that he needs to do something different with it. So, yeah, like I said, I think I think Melody, Mallory, Lyric, the the giggle, giggle girls, giggle girls. Yeah. Yeah. That's what they call themselves. OK. So do we have any suspicions about what this HOH could be?
[00:27:54] We had basically, you know, throw the first one out and then we had like a shuffleboard. Then we had questions. Do we have an idea of what the next HOH comp could be? We haven't had a knockout competition yet. It's possible. Yeah.
[00:28:16] I mean, they just did a booth comp, so a knockout right after not unprecedented, but wouldn't be my go to balance beam makes a lot of sense to me. Christian says in the chat. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that's the one they did in 27, right? Saying that's the one that Riley won in week four. Yeah. Around this time. Yeah. Balance beam would definitely happen. Balance beam would actually actually be very interesting. Yeah. Because I think the Giggle girls would be pretty decent at it. Yeah. Like I'm not like. Low center of mass.
[00:28:45] Chuck in that one. Hey, don't underestimate Chuck. Mm hmm. He actually did very well on that on the survivor challenge where they were walking across. It's true. You know, D might be somebody also to look at there. Oh, yeah. Those toes will come in handy. Although if Riley won it last year, could Barrett potentially be somebody with like. Don't compare them. Fewer strides, Mike. Riley was like. Barrett's taller though, right?
[00:29:15] Like a rodeo guy. Like 6'6", I think. Yeah. Yeah. Barrett's very tall. That's too tall. Yeah. That's too tall. It's a bit too tall, I think. Let's talk about the blockbuster. And Mike, I feel like you could appreciate this, that they called the blockbuster. Competition Videotape Tumble. Blockbuster Video. Come on. What the hell are these Gen Z people running the show doing?
[00:29:43] They have no knowledge of the mecca of movies that we went to every single Friday. I am baffled by how much money was left on the table. More so, actually, than the people who chose not to keep Jason in the house. I am more irate at the people who decided to not name this competition Blockbuster Video. You literally have the name of the competition be the name of a brand of a popular video store. Two and two are looking at it.
[00:30:11] They don't even know what alliances call themselves freaks and geeks. Do you think they're going to call this competition Blockbuster Video? Are they? Is dead. There's one Blockbuster left. What if that one Blockbuster is Sue CBS? Yeah. You know, they had a Netflix show also. Maybe it's that they can't do it because it's a show. Blockbuster Video. Can they do Block Space Buster Video? You know? I mean, so then the competition is just called Video? No, like you just take the word Blockbuster and break up into two words. It's like Blockbuster. And then it just says, like, colon, Video.
[00:30:42] What I will say is this is one of the closer Blockbusters we have ever had. I think the other one I'm thinking of is one of the ones Mackenzie won. I think the first one with the ball rolling where she won by, like, a second versus Rubina. But this was this was neck and neck. Yeah. Go ahead, Terry. This this might be my favorite Blockbuster that they've that they have done, period. I thought this was like and listen, you know, I come here every Thursday and I complain about the same things.
[00:31:11] And one of them is usually the competition. Yeah. I thought this was genuinely really well done. I thought the structure of the competition was well done, but we stayed wide for most of the competition. We had a big scoreboard in the back to keep track. It was a really it was it was an equal opportunity competition that like anybody could theoretically have won for the most part. We got to see as they like the towers started wobbling. It was tense.
[00:31:40] And then running back and seeing the score and oh, Jason's speeding up now. Oh, but Mallory's coming back. Oh, is it going to fall? It genuinely was just like this is how all competitions should be run and edited and structured, in my opinion. I thought it was I thought it was genuinely very great. Yeah. Really well done. To my knowledge, this is a new comp. We haven't seen this before. Correct. Yes. Yeah. I loved in the video that Julie made introducing the Blockbuster. She said it's like a reverse Jenga.
[00:32:10] Julie, it's just Jenga. What is reverse Jenga would be you putting the videos on the precarious tower? Well, but even then, that's part of Jenga, too. You know? So I'm not really sure about that. But in the video that she posted, both of the production people doing the challenge got to nine. So they're moving a lot faster than the actual contestants. I guess they have nothing to lose. They have $750,000. Yeah.
[00:32:37] I think when testing, you don't care as much, right? When your life is in your hands, you're going to be a lot more careful and slow about it. I think it also was a big help that Lala, who we knew was going to be a non-factor in this. She can't even hit a pickleball, let's be honest. She goes out early. And so we were really- She goes out early, but in the lead when she went out. It's true. I was watching. I'm like, oh, Lala. She's the first to get a tape returned. And then that immediately just has everything falling over.
[00:33:05] But then we're able to really focus on the head-to-head at that point. And so really did raise the stakes. So really, really well done on this blockbuster competition. Can we clear up here? Because I think, you know, of course, it was painful to have Jason apparently miss out by microseconds putting that video in. But I would imagine that Mallory would have won the tie. She still, yeah. Yeah.
[00:33:28] Every time she got to a number first, so she was the first person to get to eight, he would have needed to get to nine in order to beat her without her getting to nine. And I'm not sure if he necessarily was looking at her scoreboard, but he goes to put his tape in. It doesn't take. And he looks like, oh, I would have had eight. But she also would have had nine. Like, she was like a fraction of a second from putting her ninth tape in.
[00:33:53] So it wasn't exactly that, you know, that he was about to tie it up maybe for a millisecond. And then she would have had another one also. Yeah. So I think that really what I think what he needed was the situation where Mallory's tower falls. And then ultimately, like, he remains in the lead. Yes. Yeah. I really I think the only the only improvement I would have made is have the clock on the screen.
[00:34:23] But but other than that, like, I just I really I had a great time watching it. I thought it was really, really fun. Good stuff. Yeah. And the legend of the pipe queen will only grow from here. Truly. Yeah. Shout out to also reheating the nachos of all the fake badly photoshopped movies they've done in years past as well. Bringing those back. Yeah. Well, it made sense for the video store, Mike, of all of your favorite classics are there on VHS. Yes. You're talking before the show.
[00:34:52] I think Heisemheimer I saw in the back. That one might be new. I don't think it is. Right. Why? When what's in what atmosphere would they ever use Heisemheimer? I mean, it does make sense because it felt like he was talking for three hours. Was that what what summer was the Barbenheimer summer? Was that the summer of BB 25? Yeah, that was 2023. So it was the summer of BB 25. So I feel like that they probably did movies that summer. I don't think they went back to the well forever.
[00:35:19] I think they had a booth comp with movies. Heisemheimer. Oh, no. Yeah. Okay. Next year is going to be the Audrucy. Mm-hmm. Sure. We can have that by the end of the week, Mike. That could be on their desk. Mm-hmm. All right. Let me see. Um, not a ton of interesting things in terms of, uh, the vote.
[00:35:48] Should we talk about, uh, everybody getting up to vote tonight? Not as many shout outs of people we know tonight. I couldn't believe how many people Dee had to shout out after single dropping Brandon Donlan night one. She was like, and now I have a whole massive list for night two. Yeah. And I love that she made time to include Pitbull. Okay. Yeah.
[00:36:16] So, yeah, here's, here's Dee's shout out. I sadly vote to evict Jason. Thank you. Thank you, mommy. Baby, lo samo. Bienso a usted todo dia. Shout out to my cousin Pitbull, Mr. Dero5. Dale! I asked Brandon, is that, was that the real Mr. Worldwide that she was shouting out? Uh, and he said no. Oh, she's like just a cousin with the same nickname. I think that maybe it could be, it could be a nickname for this person.
[00:36:45] I don't know if it was the literal Pitbull. I mean, we saw James Cameron get shouted out. DJ Khaled got shouted out. You can basically just mention any person you want to. Yeah. What about, what about Zach Brown, Dee? I thought that that was your most favorite recording artist ever who sings the soundtrack to your life, who was not, who she got a CD from on the HOH music. Do you think that now Cameron from BB25 thinks that Dee is cousins with Pitbull? Do you think he has a theory about that?
[00:37:15] Like, like Felicia with Tenzel Washington? Does she look like Pitbull? I think is the question. I don't think so. Well, can we see her in a bald cap? Because that would really be what we need. We had a interesting, not quite a shout out, but a little bit of a word from Angela of what she was up to. She said this. Checking family machine like crazy, Chad.
[00:37:44] I'm wearing my evil eye necklace to warn off Drew. Did she say chat or Chad? Chad, are we cooked? I don't. She was out of control, though, because even in her vote, she's like, I sadly vote to a big Jason trying to portray like she's crying. I'm sorry. She was laughing. She tried to Nicole Franzel us in the vote with Jason. Like, what are we doing here, Angela? Yeah, some good acting for a low budget movie.
[00:38:14] Yeah. But I think they're all just saying like, oh, I sadly vote, I sadly vote. And then they go right into happy shout outs. I really like went like, it's really sadly vote. It's really hard for me to do this. But I'm wearing a necklace to ward off Drew, guys. You're not getting cast. I was actually too convincingly sad at the beginning. Sorry. You're not getting cast on Heisenheimer anytime soon, Angela.
[00:38:38] I did love, like, I feel like we're getting a little bit of Karen, Kevin, BB, can five vibes from Angela and Drew. Obviously, I know that Angela's like, Angela's getting, obviously, this has been building for a little bit longer and she feels like she has probable cause to suspect him. But like, I'm waiting for that little Drew Robert Campbell thinks he has one over on me. Yeah. At least Kevin was actually doing a lot of what Karen suspected him of doing.
[00:39:05] I was going to say, I see Karen, but I don't know if it's Singbeal or not. So Maggie did have this similar thought yesterday and, you know, had this ends with them going to the final two. Maybe. Yeah. Yeah. Well, first, Drew's going to need to win basically every competition from here on out. Once he gets able to hear it tomorrow, though. Yeah. Then he'll go on a comp run.
[00:39:33] When Drew found out he was on the show, did he watch every single season of Big Brother, or sorry, get an assistant to watch every single season of Big Brother and write down all the comps and what weeks they happen in and how it works? Because Kevin Martin did that. I don't think he did. Yeah. And Drew's going to be still fun on the Traders. It's going to be great. Let's see who else had something fun to say. Kind of a quiet night for the back half of the voters.
[00:40:03] Any about any favorites? Did Melody on her way out just say meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow? Yes. Did that before? I think it was four meows. Yeah. She did all of her shout outs and then she went meow, meow, meow, meow. That's a double Enzo. I assumed Enzo, yeah. Wow. Who else would it be? Maybe she's talking to her cats at home. Does she have cats? I like to normalize more animal noises on your way out. Mm-hmm. Just mix it. What animal noise would you make, Mike?
[00:40:32] Yeah, just go like. If we voted you out right now. All right. I sadly vote to evict Rob. But God! Yeah. Kirsten, I remember what I wanted to ask. Do you think that the Etsy witch has been neutralized by Angela's necklace to ward off the spirits? That's what it was. The evil eye.
[00:40:59] But the thing is, is like the whole point, this, listen, last year we were mean. We summoned a demon, Asmodeus. He, you know, took over the house. This year it was like a nice Etsy witch with like seven pages of homework for the whole fan base. Like drink your water, drink it with good intentions. Think about Jason winning the competition and think about Jason winning the HOH. I feel like the evil eye is meant to ward off evil spirits that mean you harm.
[00:41:29] We are sending positive energy to Jason, not negative energy to Angela. So it shouldn't have been that. I think it's just because we couldn't get the word to Jason that he needed to meditate and drink his water today. I think that's what we really needed. And I'm frankly disappointed that we did not have a wall yeller to be providing this information. Okay. Do you think, doesn't it make sense that Angela has an evil eye though? She loves to talk about people's eyes in the house.
[00:41:58] That's a crazy eye. Crazy eyes. All right. We heard that Jason was in the top three of the voting for the first three weeks and it helps us in our logic puzzle of figuring out who the voting was. I think it's reasonable to assume that in week one, Angela, Devens and Jason were the top three. Is that, is that fair? It's what I would have assumed. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
[00:42:28] Cause D was HOH, right? So why vote for her? Yes. And D was also brought in a little late too, right? Maybe, maybe it hurt her. How about that align with the voting? Yeah. It didn't open until after she was introduced anyway. And then week two, we certainly know two out of the three spots and that Rick was number one. Jason was in the top three and we have a mystery person in the top three also with Rick and Jason. Jason, who was a top three contender is now out of the picture.
[00:42:57] So Taryn at this hour, who do we think is going to be visiting the BB time capsule tomorrow? I think there's probably a pretty high chance it's D. Um, I think that Wednesday's episode, she was pretty prominent, especially with the fan favorites of Angela and Devin's. Um, she even, even like the, if you were somebody watching the episodes and you were more so on Jason's side, more inclined to vote for him.
[00:43:27] You might've also liked that D was talking, uh, about how Kamu was screwing up in the tea party, uh, confrontation. Um, so I would have to imagine that D right now is the front runner. The only other people I think, I think that Jason was in there with a shot. Uh, clearly he was, um, maybe drew who had a prominent Sunday episode, but was basically absent on Wednesday.
[00:43:51] And I think has a disappointing showing in Thursday's episode, maybe Mallory who just won another competition and has some funny moments, but like, honestly, it feels kind of locked up for D at this point. It's, this is the thing though, right? Like, cause you can vote. I mean, basically you can vote on limited times as long as you keep making up email addresses. That's what they don't want you to know.
[00:44:16] But like, how much are like the, the regular people who sit down and enjoy the, the television program, big brother on CBS three days a week. Like, are they voting every day? Are they voting maybe after each episode? Are they voting once a week? Like, do we have like favorite? Yeah, that's true. That's true. Yeah. But how much are the TV viewers, this is the hard question to answer that, how much are
[00:44:46] they enjoying the potential steamroll? I feel like that the audience does tend to like the people who want to shake things up. And I don't know if, I mean, I think the D is looked at as firmly part of the majority. And so I don't think that there's too much of the TV viewing public. She's the, has a fan base. And that's the one thing going for her over anybody else.
[00:45:10] But I think if you are looking for somebody to really shake things up, the problem is, it's just that there's not one single person that you could split between Mallory, Lyric, Melody, Drew, Barrett. Like there's, you know, so many different other options on that side. I also think that if you're only watching the episodes, you're probably not feeling the steamroll all that much yet.
[00:45:39] You might be like, ah, yeah, I'm with Jason. Strike back at them. But who's them? Probably Kamu in your eyes. They've kind of protected the vets from the stink of Kamu. You might be like, oh, I really like the vets. Yeah, I hope the vets do something about Kamu. Uh, like, you know, there's, there's no real sense of like, as you said, like, who is your champion? I think right now the champions are still the vets primarily.
[00:46:05] Um, and, uh, and, and beyond that, I think it's a lot of just familiarity. Who do you know the most? Who have you, who did you think was funny in the diary room? Because you've heard them more often in the diary room. Uh, I, I think that that's, I think we're like a little, I mean, not only really, are we a little too early to really properly, uh, have the, the, the TV watcher audience, uh, be sort of strategically voting, but they don't tend to strategically vote in the first place. They tend to vote based on like the, what is the last thing you saw?
[00:46:35] I mean, it's going to come down to who are the main characters of the show and one of them just left. Uh, though, I guess to that point, if Kamu doesn't get into the time capsule, do you think he'll challenge the results? He'll storm the diary room. Yeah. Sorry, but I can't be the only one that was seeing Haley's face after, uh, Jason walked
[00:46:57] out the door to Julie hitting a, uh, teapot, um, and thinking like, oh, she's so mad. Cause Haley was the person who was the most mad about the teapot. And the fact that Julie was out there with a teapot, uh, had to have gotten to her. Sorry, but I just was reminded that moment. No, she was, she was furious. She was so upset. I know that feeds are going to come back to her ranting and raving about this and coming
[00:47:26] up with some justification as to why like, that means that Jason's the worst and actually like her alliance is the best and America loves them. And it's, I don't know. She's like, I, one thing about Haley fog. She's always going to be saying some shit. I mean, it is an interesting, it's an interesting site though, to like, well, I guess I should say that, that yes, on paper, uh, upon seeing that prop, you probably get in your head again,
[00:47:56] cause all you can do besides thinking about the game is like, I wonder how I'm being perceived as like, okay, if Julie went full carrot top right now, like something must be up, must be so popular, but we should note Jason did not open the door all the way. He did a little Dave on peek through. Yes. But Haley saw, Haley saw the kettle. Uh, I mean, you know, normally what happens is it, it'll be something like a, like, well, of course he was probably, he was an underdog, of course. And it was probably really entertaining.
[00:48:25] He's a really entertaining guy. So of course that's probably what was happening. Yeah. Yeah. Taryn, I remember on big brother Canada, it was a thing where the people in the house, they could hear what was happening with the interviews, but is that ever a thing in big brother U S where like, could they hear truly hitting the teapot? Could they, did they ever hear the audience reaction to the interviews? They can sometimes, uh, interviews, not as much, certainly not as much as big brother Canada, uh, did at least. Um, but it's been heard.
[00:48:54] Christine get booed in six. Yes. That was one of the more famous examples is that they heard Christine get booed, uh, because it's like, she was Buddha, she was walking out the door basically. Um, so they knew what happened with that. Um, but, but apart from that, it's, you know, it's usually like, oh, they were laughing at my joke when I was in, when I was casting my vote or, uh, you know, they don't even usually say much about Julie cause Julie's usually stone-faced when they open the door.
[00:49:23] Um, and the crowd is always cheering usually about the same amount when they opened the door. Once they close the door, there's not really much that, uh, that gets through. Well, let's talk about Julie's interview with Jason and she, uh, asked them about, or she asked Jason about the, the teapot. What were you going for? And he said he wanted to show that only he can make a fool of himself. Which I think is a perfect encapsulation of like who Jason was in the house.
[00:49:52] And it's part of why a lot of people are so quick to be like, ah, but he did it to himself. It's like, yeah, but like the point is it would have been done to him anyway. Uh, maybe not all of it, maybe not the initial, uh, stuff, but like certainly the backdooring, the deal making, the calling out of the tea party, all of that stuff was happening to him anyway. They were just, they were just excuses made to like really dig in the knife. And he was like, you know what? I'll, I'll play, I'll play along.
[00:50:21] I'll make a big thing of this too. And, and what I really was impressed by, and I didn't even recognize it until on his way out the door, as he's tossing the tea bags is that this guy's a showman and he's really good at what he does. Yeah. Because Kamu had this whole big thing, his big TV moment. He was really excited about his moment. He was talking about it with Devins, talking about it with people. This is a moment to make good TV that he wanted to do. He had this whole speech plan. He was going to interrupt the tea party. Uh, this is his thing.
[00:50:51] And Jason took that and he said, this is my thing. Sorry. I'm the tea party guy. I'm banging the teapot. I'm throwing tea bags around. And when he left, Julie's banging a teapot for him. Uh, he's the tea party. He completely just re took that and branded it on, uh, on himself. It is just really, really impressive stuff on like a showmanship level that I think, uh,
[00:51:16] you, you don't really think about all that much, but, uh, it was, I thought really cool to see. Yeah. Being a drag queen is all about branding. And I think that Jason, especially again, we should mention he is a reality TV vet in his own right. He knows how to see a moment and be able to embellish it. And so I think, and we talked about this as well, Taryn, a couple of days ago on the live feed update, you know, the, the idea of like, why couldn't he have left with his dignity? Why is he doing this? This is ridiculous.
[00:51:44] And I'll keep saying it like, this is Jason's dignity. I think if he had gone out with his tail tucked with duct tape between his legs and just said like, good game. Everybody had a great time. Have a good summer. Like that is not Jason, you know, Jason will hug half the house. Jason will look Kamu in the face and say, don't touch me because he knew he could has no Fs to give at this point. And so I think he talked about finding himself in that house, finding out who Jason is.
[00:52:13] And I think he got to showcase that despite his back being against the wall so much. It's not dignity according to their terms or maybe the terms of the people who want to see something different, but it's dignity according to his terms. And that's kind of what we've been talking about this whole week. Well, and like, I'm sorry. Would any of them think that they were leaving with dignity if they just walked out the door quietly and just accepted mistreatment from every other person in the house? Like, how is that dignity by any definition? Yeah. I mean, and also like the whole don't touch me Kamu thing.
[00:52:43] I mean, you know, obviously in light of Kamu's vile comments online, it gets even more brought in a harsh light. But like, it's also just this entire attitude he's had this entire week where even during the tea party is like, and listen, if you come to me, like it's all water under the bridge. And it's just such a, you know, I guess he was trying to make it some sort of perversion on like, no, no, no. I'm doing this as a favor to you. You know, I hope you can forgive me for this when it's like, he feels like Jason has no
[00:53:12] reason to be mad at me when really he has every reason to be mad at you. And I think one thing to keep on the radar, Kamu may well be part of a steamroll that goes on to win the season. But if Kamu's ever sitting in one of those nomination chairs, I really suspect that he may not handle his own exit with a lot of dignity in class. We'll see. He'll have all kinds of reasons for why that's the case. Yeah.
[00:53:40] But I doubt he is going to be a smiley guy on eviction night. He couldn't even be a smiley guy tonight when he got what he wanted. Mm hmm. Yeah. I don't know. We'll see. Can I hear a grievance? Yes, please. It's not festive yet, but sure. And I think that this just might be something where like in the USA, y'all are maybe not having tea that often. Like I know a lot of people don't own kettles. Like that was a kettle. It's not a teapot.
[00:54:09] A teapot and a kettle are two different things. It's branding. It's branding. I just, I think facts are important and I would be remiss if I did not state like it is, it is a kettle. You can call it a teapot if you want. It's a vessel for heating water to pour over a teabag and a teapot is something that you would cook tea in. Yeah. So generally you would boil the water in a kettle and then if you're having a teapot,
[00:54:38] that's normally like ceramic and you would pour the water and have the tea in there and then you pour the tea from that. It just, sorry. It just doesn't ring the same. The original is pots and pans. You had the tea party. So the teapot is a perfect blend of both. I understand for branding, but I just semantics are important to me. Okay. Whatever's wrong with me really cares a lot about the details. We rebranded like the kettle battle.
[00:55:07] Could that be something instead of the teapot massacre? We don't need to rename anything. I just wanted to just provide some context and make sure that the record is clear. Yeah. That is a kettle. Yes. Do you have a teapot, Kirsten? Um, I actually do have my mom's China tea set in a box here. And that's the thing. I do. It's breakable, the teapot. Yeah. You could not be doing the spoon on the teapot.
[00:55:37] That would be, uh, very dangerous because there'd be glass everywhere. Okay. That could be an interesting way to go out of the house. All right. So Julie asked, uh, Jason said, Hey, you are a reality icon. Why did you tell people you're Selena from drag race? Which, uh, Julie really speaking as though Mike, uh, she does seem to know a lot about drag race. Uh, does she even watch the show? Tamar?
[00:56:05] Uh, I don't necessarily, I think she maybe is just well-researched. If she was, if she, Rob, if she truly was a drag race girlie, she would have said with her full chest, Selena S titties. Come on. They can say bitch on CBS and they can't say S titties. What are we doing here? Angela said biatch, so. Well, but they said bitch on the last Sunday up was for last week. Or Wednesday. This genuinely, this has been my question to Jason since the very first live feed update.
[00:56:35] Uh, like I went into the season expecting him to work with the vets, uh, to, to tell them, Hey, I'm one of you, uh, to get in on that and be part of the power structure. And he took the opposite approach. And I was really interested. Again, I thought it was a great question from Julie. It's when I wanted to ask Jason, though. I will say coming from Julie, the question is, is a little different. Cause I do think Jason could have replied with like, yeah, I am an icon. So, uh, how come I didn't come in with them?
[00:57:05] Yeah. Okay. I, so I think that there might be tea there because I made a post. I had a post about this the other day. Like, why did Jason not enter as the fourth icon? And Hamsterwatch made a kind of vague post of like, was that up to the show? Was that up to Jason? Of perhaps Jason wanted to go in as Jason and not as Selena's titties. I would love to know more about that. All of you get to talk to Jason tomorrow. Yeah, it's a fair question.
[00:57:35] Jason, because, uh, that also Jason does go on to talk about how that this was an experience that Jason wanted to learn about Jason and seem like that there was at least part of the origin story of Jason on this season was I am putting basically my superhero costume on the, the, the hanger for a little bit. And I want to explore and see if I can do this as myself. So, uh, it's a valid question of that.
[00:58:03] Did, was this his, his choice or was this a production choice? I mean, not for nothing. It seems like from what we know about Jason, he actively applied to be on the show. I don't know if the other three reality icons were sending in audition tapes. So it is possible that it was like, maybe Angela did once. Yeah, exactly. That's true. He did all day. I would imagine he auditioned as like Jason first and was like, Oh, Hey, by the way, I also am a drag queen. You might know me from a show called RuPaul's drag race.
[00:58:32] And that's how he was cast. I also, I can't imagine that he was presented with a choice, right? Because they couldn't tell him, Oh, you have the option of coming in as an icon. Cause he couldn't know that icons were coming. Right. Right. Uh, so like, it's not like that was, that could have been a choice presented to him. But they could have asked, do you want to, do you want to go into the house as Jason? Or do you want to go into the house as Selena? Well, certainly.
[00:58:58] But I, but in terms of like coming in as a specific twist called an icon from drag, cause he could have come in as Selena, not from drag race also. Well, yeah, but I think that that could have been the way for them to ask. And if he was like, Oh, I'm going to come in as Selena. They could be like, Oh, perfect. His show, the shows on Paramount, we can put him in as a fourth or maybe it's nothing. If they wanted him to be an icon, they would have just made him an icon. Uh, I don't think they would have cared. But despite, despite the, uh, you know, personal growth that Jason espoused in his exit press,
[00:59:28] I'm a little miffed. He didn't ask Mr. B for like, you know, a shake and go wig and some makeup and be Selena, especially when he knows if he gets win or go home for him. Like, I wish we could have seen Selena once. Yeah. We, we didn't get to see, uh, Jason ever, uh, go into drag in the house. Didn't he say that he brought his drag though? So I think that he could have, if he wanted to. He was going to do it. Like they were all going to do a big drag show. I was like that. I was realizing like, as he was, after he lost the car, I was like, Oh damn.
[00:59:56] Like we're never going to get like the drag show in the house. Like that's, that's such a bummer. Hmm. Not on comm. He could have pulled a Joey from BB 16, like drag and campaign at the same time. You never want to do that. Yeah. Okay. Uh, but he never also told people about it. So it's all, he told Rome that one time in Rome, didn't tell anybody. So, um, yeah, even on the way out, he didn't say anything. Yeah.
[01:00:22] So, um, interesting to get his thought process on all of that. Okay. Okay. Anything else from, uh, tonight's episode? Goodbye messages for, uh, Jason. Uh, all, all very nice. Uh, nothing too much to write home about except for fricking Kamu, uh, had to give him, uh, he thought he really ate with that one.
[01:00:48] Oh, this again, it's just like, it's so funny to see Kamu do like a tea reference because it doesn't feel like it's Kamu's. Uh, and that's part of why it, it, it falls flat because it feels like he's doing a Jason bit, uh, which is, which speaks to the effectiveness of how Jason was able to turn that around. Yep. It's honestly, you can tell that Kamu doesn't have queer people in his life from a variety
[01:01:16] of reasons because he'd be funnier. I'm sorry. Sorry. So, well, there's a lot of things I could say. Okay. Put up a pillow wall behind that opinion. Uh, yes. I mean, uh, the one thing I will say, I guess, you know, in the midst of saying goodbye to Jason here and look again, I think none of us are necessarily saying like Jason was perpetually hosed by all the circumstances of the game.
[01:01:44] I think we can all acknowledge that like this dude made his four poster bed with a lot of actions, including in this very week. And he has been laying in them for the better part of a fortnight. But given the mess that happened before that, during that. And after that, to me, it has had me beating the dream, the drum even more for an opinion I've had for a long time, which is we need to cast more drag Queens on reality TV.
[01:02:11] If we're talking about like, we need people who are going to bring everything they can to the show, especially from an entertainment perspective. We want good TV. Isn't that what we effing want? I think that Jason is a perfect showcase of that where again, you maybe seven out of 10 big brother players in the situation Jason was in would just sort of like meekly sit in the corner, hope they win the blockbuster or get enough votes to, you know, stay. But he wanted to make sure he had the last word on his way out.
[01:02:40] And he created a lot of great television in the process as well. And I think we saw that with Bob, the drag queen. We've seen it with, you know, we've seen it with Alyssa as well on the goat. Like I feel like the drag race omnibus of alumni, especially those who are fans of these social strategy shows of which there are an amassing number, as you've seen from the number of Queens who have been talking about these shows from Jason being on them. I just feel like it's a missed opportunity to not have natural entertainers on your reality television program.
[01:03:09] I mean, having watched, having not watched drag race, but having seen so many former drag race contestants on other shows, I can't think of a single one that's missed that hasn't been good TV in one way or another. So as far as I'm concerned, it's a hundred percent hit rate right now. All right. We also got a shout out to Frankie Grande tonight.
[01:03:39] Best friend of, of Jason. There was a moment there when I, when Julie was like, uh, Oh, you're talking about Frankie Grande, a friend of yours. There was a moment there that I was transported back in time, uh, via the timetable, uh, to where I was like, is she about to say, and he actually flew in and he's right here. Uh, Broadway right now. He's too busy. Oh no. They could have greeted him.
[01:04:06] Like, uh, when Colonel Sanders greeted chicken, George, like have Frankie coming in with a bucket full of chicken, maybe video message. Uh, I just think they should bring that back. Uh, I think that was fun when they did that. Yep. I also, I do love Julie's, uh, clarifications. The brings me back to the Jackson. You mean Mickey days. Yes. Yes. And she's still not showing anybody the big Alliance. I guess it's so obvious.
[01:04:30] So she doesn't need to show anybody, uh, who's in, who's in, uh, the tool shed. I agree. No point. She would, she would normally be itching to do that though. Even when everybody knows. It's not secret enough. I'm not going to question a good decision. Yeah. Do you think they were not allowed to do that after they screwed up last season? Didn't they like accidentally put Mickey in one of the alliances instead of Morgan? They did. They did swap out. But I don't remember if it was specifically that, but yeah, they did swap a person out. Yeah. Incorrectly. Okay.
[01:05:00] All right. Wow. Anything else from, uh, tonight's big brother or, uh, Taryn, uh, anything of note from the feeds today? Uh, today, not too much. Uh, Angela was pitching again to try to out the crossovers to the red corner. She was saying to Devin's like, I know you think it's a bad idea, but I really, I, he's with drew all the time. I just know that drew's already told him.
[01:05:29] And so I really feel like we need to come clean. Uh, and Devin's is just like, I, I don't know. I feel like we're in a good place right now. Also like Kamu's HOH is about to be over. So, uh, I feel like we should not, not do this. Um, but, uh, but Angela's chomping at the bit. She's, she wants it. I was a little mad that in the midst of the, the pre blockbuster strategizing segment, we
[01:05:56] got to see like D and Kamu and Angela talking, talking about how drew was sketchy after he just played devil's advocate, but they neglected to mention that there was at one point when Kamu left the conversation and went up to the HOH room and Angela bolts behind him, runs up the stairs. He tells him, watch out for drew. He said that he's coming after the red corner to which come who replies, wait, he knows about the red corner to which then she replies. Yes.
[01:06:23] Several times before eventually realizing her mistake and saying, no, actually, uh, I think it was actually just me and D I'm very tired. Ignore what I just said. I was so sad. They didn't include, this was such an amazing scene from the feeds. I, I, I do understand because it didn't go anywhere. Right. Uh, like it was, it felt like this big moment of a leak of a reveal, but then it didn't go anywhere, but man, it was funny. Yeah. Listen, you never know.
[01:06:53] So they could flash back on a Sunday episode based on the HOH win, uh, which we'll find out at some point later on tonight. Has, has Pooja opened the red bull yet? I sure hope not. All right. All right. I want this man healthy. Yeah. Kirsten, anything else on your mind? Um, I don't think this is going to mean anything for the three of you on the panel, but maybe someone listening.
[01:07:18] Julie Chen was dressed like she was going to a business casual front desk reception job tonight. And it really took me out. Like I wore the outfit in 2012 to my job working at a front desk. Maybe she took the time machine back then and grabbed that outfit. Maybe. Wow. She's an outfit thief. Damn. Okay. All right. Uh, I am very excited to announce that we have now officially on sale to all tickets
[01:07:46] for the big rehab con. We are planning in less than one month away in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The patron presale had been going on for the last couple of weeks, but now it is available to all at rehab con. Rehabcon.com where you can also buy single admission tickets to our big brother live show on both Wednesday night and Thursday night and single admission tickets to the live.
[01:08:14] Uh, uh, uh, uh, re nap that we're doing. Robin Akiva need a podcast, uh, which we'll be doing at rehab con plus, uh, three day, two day and one day pass is available at rehab con.com. It will be very, very fun. Uh, Taryn, the first ever, uh, live, live feed update in front of an audience. Oh boy. Uh, that'll be exciting. Yes. Uh, I, I, I listen, I love, I love doing live stuff.
[01:08:42] And so, uh, live feed updates kind of the dream. Yeah. Never before attempted. And so, uh, that'll be going on at rehab con, uh, coming up in a couple of weeks. Uh, very excited, uh, to see everybody out there. Then in addition to that, we mentioned exit interview, Jason, Selena Estittes will join us on Friday. So be on the lookout for that.
[01:09:08] And then the last live feed update of July coming up 12 noon Eastern time with Puya. I talked to Eric Stein today about everything that was going on. Eric Stein says, get rid of the have nots. They're outdated and a relic of big brothers past. Plus many other hot takes, including who said it, Jason or Jason, a brand new game we played today on the summer of Stein.
[01:09:35] Plus everything we have going on over on Patreon, including the BB mailbag that I do with Taryn, the slop with Chappelle. And then tomorrow I'll be doing a Q and a for kicking off week four of big brother 28. And that will be at 4 PM Eastern. We had a great time last week.
[01:09:58] Mike Bloom joined the call with Brandon Donlan last week, but it will be at 4 PM because I am taking my kids to see Spider-Man tomorrow. I promised them we would go opening day, which is technically tonight, but they don't need to know that. It's weird. It's weird that Thursdays are technically low. All right. And then check out the mailbag and the slop as well on Patreon.
[01:10:22] Plus Mike Bloom and I have been working on a brand new series over on the Survivor podcast feed, the Survivor time trip, where we're talking with iconic Survivor players about some of their most famous episodes. And Mike, you and I talked with Kelly Wentworth about her idol play from Survivor Second Chances. Yeah, it was an incredibly fun time. Kelly was able to shed some light from stuff we even didn't get to see about what I would say was sort of a career making moment for her.
[01:10:51] Should we peel back the curtain even more, Rob? Maybe should we save for my plug that will reveal who our next guest is? No, go ahead. Reveal and plug. All right. Well, we are going even further back to the time of pirates, or at least when one was represented on our screens, because we're talking about the premiere of Survivor Pearl Islands with not Queen Kamu, but Queen Sandra. Sandra Diaz-Twine joined us actually earlier today on her birthday. Yes.
[01:11:20] To talk about the premiere of Survivor Pearl Islands. It was an incredible time talking about one of my favorite episodes of the show. And what I will tease is that we get a little bit of a special guest at the very end who is able to reveal a piece of information that I don't think has ever been revealed in the history of Survivor. Mike and I learned about some information from one of Sandra's other seasons that we never knew before. So find out about that this weekend on the Survivor time trip. So, Mike, what else is coming up for you?
[01:11:50] I also have a conversation tomorrow with Jason, which I'm very excited about. I ended up posting this actually right before he was announced for the cast, but I ended up doing a junket for the cast of Drag Race All Stars that he was on. And I ended up bringing up like, what show would you be on besides Drag Race? And he looked at me and said, what do you know? And I just thought it was like playful tea. I don't think he realized that he actually thought I like knew he was going to be on Big Brother. So I'm excited to reconnect with him there.
[01:12:16] As we talked about, a lot to get into, not only in the wake of everything that has recently happened, but all of the other stuff that led to this. We got to know about the fake crying, about him going after the vets and everything in between. So let's talk about that and any other nonsense out there at A Mike Bloom Type. Okay, great job tonight, Mike. Kirsten, what's coming up for you? You can follow me everywhere at Kirsten Said What? And you can listen to Mess Magnets where myself and Sasha Joseph are talking pop culture, celebrity gossip, trending topics.
[01:12:45] This week, Mari joined me. So that was really fun. And hit me up at RehabCon. Yes. All right. We'll see you in a couple of weeks in person. And then Taryn, busy night for you. Busy night indeed. Noon tomorrow, of course. Remember that for the update. Otherwise, check out my Patreon. It's good stuff over there. All right. And then we've got a busy Friday coming up and, you know, get contact the witches. Light your candles.
[01:13:14] Let's hope for a good HOH result the next time we're all talking about Big Brother. Take care, everybody. Have a good one. Bye.
