With Rob in LA for his UNLOCKED appearance, Taran Armstrong leads the recap alongside Chantele Francis and Mari Forth, dissecting a week where comp [β¦][00:00:09] [SPEAKER_00] Hello everyone and welcome to Rob has a podcast. I'm your host, Taran Armstrong here tonight to talk about this double eviction baby episode of Big Brother 28. And oh boy, what a wild one it was. This is really, this was quite a ride, quite a ride. Of course, Rob is not here tonight. You might have seen at the end of the episode. He's busy hosting the BBC.
[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_00] This is me. This is me.
[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_03] Do you think it's gonna be wearing a tux as well? That could be kind of fun.
[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_00] I hope so. We'll have to wait and see. Either way, with me tonight, it's Mari. How you doing, Mari?
[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01] Hey, Taren. I'm here to pour one out for my Bloomf Barrett and give him the send off he deserves. And to be just shocked by the second eviction as well. To see Yash go. So this is, wow, this is a night, man.
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00] It really was. It really was a night. Also with us tonight is Chantel. How you doing, Chantel?
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_03] I'm actually a little bit sad, to be honest, that, you know, I wasn't really expecting it to go this way. You know, obviously, it was a possibility and we were weighing out like different options, of course. And so we thought about things happening this way, but I really just didn't think it was going to. So I'm a little bit sad about the outcome, but it was definitely an entertaining and fast and furious episode. So there's that.
[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. You know, I talked all week long about how I thought the three most likely people to leave were Drew, Devins and Yash. And that Yash really, especially once he won that HOH was in a lot of danger here. He might have needed to win that veto competition. But I still, I still didn't think he'd actually go because I really did think he'd win that veto competition. Right. Mm hmm.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00] And so the fact that he did, but, but not only did he, he left in a pretty rare scenario, one that we weren't really anticipating. Yash against D is not a final nomination chair that I thought many of us would have predicted, especially because I don't think anybody knew exactly where Drew would go in that instance.
[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_00] And I think basically all the way up until he cast that vote, we weren't sure entirely which way he would go. And so, so there it is. Yash out and, and Barrett too is gone. And just like that, we are in the final five with both survivors, D and Devins, their baby boy drew the three D's and then melody and Taylor.
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00] And oh boy, melody back comp wins in the double eviction.
[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Like some, she's actually kind of paving her path to potentially have a win here. Like, does she need to sit beside Drew to get the win? Because it looks like he bruised some people that may not want to be giving him a vote. So.
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_01] I don't know. I, I kind of think like good for melody. I'm glad she decided to pull it out. Now, am I mad because her pulling it out, sit home, like two of my favorite people. Yes. Yup. Sure am. Um, but like, it's one of those things that because of this blockbuster era, we're at a final six where everybody has won a comp except for melody.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01] People have won multiple comps here. And unfortunately for Yash and Taylor as well, who is now in like a horrible position going forward. Um, like the, the wrong person for them one on the right day, you know, melody winning the blockbuster effectively takes out Barrett.
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_01] Um, and there's nothing that again, Yash or Taylor can do because Taylor is up there again, another byproduct of D's bride. And then melody winning the HOH. And, and essentially as much as I hate it, she was smart for that. I understand like you do not put your number one at risk. I get that Taylor was sitting there like me and Yash promised not to vote out.
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01] Drew will vote D out, but you just can't trust it. Especially since, uh, Taylor Yash D and Devins have been yucking it up for the past week. Why would I, why would I trust you with my number one's life in his hands when I could, you know, put your number one's life at risk. So, um, like as much as everybody, people could be like, Oh, melody just gave the icons, the game and stuff like that.
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_01] But in this era, everybody, everybody here was a threat. D was a threat. Yash was a threat. Devins, Devins won that veto so quickly. I promise you. I went down for two seconds and I looked back up and he won. I don't know what the cop looks like. Don't ask me because I sat down for two, two seconds, dealt with the kid and it was over.
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_01] And so like, at this point, it's just all threats and it's going to be a very interesting end game in the inverse way of like anybody can win. So this is Taryn, is this the culmination of years and years of big brother making it more comp based and more comp focused? And like you said, getting more comp able people so that this is the outcome as opposed to just one person running away with it.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_00] Kind of. Yeah. I mean, you know, for as much as Yash was, I think head and shoulders above the rest of the field in competitions, the rest of the field is relatively even. I mean, when Devins is good, he's good. And clearly, I mean, three, three Thursdays in a row for the last three weeks. Oh yeah.
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_00] Devins has been the primary target on the block sitting there would have gone home if not for winning blockbuster blockbuster veto. Yeah. And so he has come in clutch, but Yash, this is the first time he's been vulnerable in the game since these HOH where he was never nominated.
[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_00] And even before that he was the HOH. So there's a world where you could say that he hasn't been vulnerable since before he first won HOH back when Kamu was still in the game. So like clearly he's a huge comp threat. And this is also back to back Thursdays where D has survived sitting on the block. Maybe not a comp threat quite as much, but where you could argue she should have been voted out either time.
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_03] She should have been voted out for sure. Yeah, it's wild to see the decisions that they're making. I do feel though, if Devins gets to the final three, I do think that he would probably be the front runner against most likely anybody left in the game to win that first more physical comp. And so they got to get Devins out next if they want a shot, because I do feel like Devins is going to get himself to the final two.
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. No, I was just going to say it's just one of those things that it's like you might think you know what the optimal move is. But when you factor in social interactions, that is going to nine times out of 10 take precedent. And we've seen that in this house week after week after week.
[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_01] People have not been making maybe the strategic logical move, quote unquote, but they've been making it based on social reads. I hate it again. Let me reiterate that because people are going to be like, she's not mad enough about Yash going home. But like it, it would have been so dumb for Melody to risk putting you up there based on the word of Yash and Taylor when she knows for a fact that Yash and Taylor have been going after Drew for weeks.
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_01] I get it was you want to get an icon out, but she couldn't risk. She couldn't risk Drew. Now, if you want to yell at Drew and say, Drew, why didn't you vote out D? I think that's more of a like it would fall more to Drew than Melody, because I think Melody played the hand that she played. And I think even she tried to convince Drew to vote out D and we saw that he did it.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And I mean, it is it's a tough spot. It's a tough spot, I think, for everyone. And I think that, like, it's hard to say that one or the other decision was definitely the right one. And it's such it's such a like a Yule Aussie decision, right? Like, yeah, like there's a strategic danger sitting there that if you didn't if you don't vote D out during this double eviction and D goes on to win the game, they say, what an idiot you were.
[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_00] But then there's also this comp threat sitting there. And if you don't vote Yash out and he comps out and wins the season, you go, what an idiot for not voting Yash out. So and so, yeah, it's such a tough one. And you're completely right with Melody as well. It's like she puts up two icons, the one she really wanted to go wins the veto. The only way to ensure that, you know, theoretically to ensure that one of Yash or Taylor now doesn't leave is to nominate Drew.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_00] But that opens the door for Drew to leave, which is like, what an idiot for nominating Drew on your HOH. And if, you know, if you don't, if you nominate Yash and Drew flips and that wasn't your intention, then now your HOH has been hijacked. If you nominate Taylor and Drew flips, then you go, what an idiot for taking out Taylor on your HOH.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_00] You got all these threats. Now, ultimately, I do think Taylor was probably the way to skirt that line. Given how difficult a decision it seemed for Drew, he probably would have voted out D over Taylor. But that might not have been Melody's preference. I mean, end of the day, it might be the same conundrum exists for Melody that does for Drew and everyone else.
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_00] It's like taking Yash out or taking D out. She's a better chance of beating D in competitions than she does Yash. So, like, it's just a win-win. It's like, it's a win-win.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.
[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_03] I think we have to see how it's going to play out for us to be able to see whether this is a good decision or bad decision. Right. We need to be looking at the final outcome. We'll see who wins head of household. If the head of household ends up being D, then you'll be like, OK, she should have maybe done this and this and this. But I do think I agree with you more. I do think she made the right decision with what what cards that she had to play because she couldn't really take the risk. And if she's going to take the risk, she might as well get Yash out because he is potentially a big threat.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_01] But I hate hindsight being the determining factor of if a move is good. You can't threaten anything else.
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_00] It's the way it goes. You know, I remember when we talked about the Cliff and Nicole and I've been talking about this being so similar to season 21 often in terms of the end game strategic structure. And, you know, Cliff and Nicole, they make a decision at the final six between Tommy and Christy or Jackson and Holly. They make another decision later between Jackson and Tommy. Both decisions are heavily criticized.
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_00] And at the time we were all kind of like, well, they're kind of damned if they do and they're damned if they don't. And it turned out it didn't work. Right. And so now a lot of people watch that show back and they go, what idiots? And, you know, it's sometimes it's just a tough it's just a tough call. And this field is so even, especially now that Melody's won a couple of these competitions. You know, Barrett's in there singing her praises. Does this really change much for Melody? Probably not.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_00] But as Chantel mentioned, maybe sitting next to Drew, you know, like it's not if she has Barrett and Yash and maybe with Yash comes Taylor and with Taylor comes Lala. You know what I mean? Like it's not impossible. And so, you know, we're and I still think Taylor's in it with a shot. You know, I think this is bad for Taylor.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, I misspoke. In a sense of like for her mental, this is bad for her. Like she's losing all her people. But essentially she's in the Davon spot where Davon is like, I don't want to be. It's like, oh, yes, you do. Yes, you do.
[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_00] She should be lock safe here at the final five. There should never be a scenario where she gets evicted. Doesn't mean it won't happen because we can't discount anything in this season. But it's almost never strategically valid or correct to take out Taylor here at the final five, especially considering that she's now the person who has won the least amount of competitions recently of the bunch and is the only solo player, which means she's probably in the final four.
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00] Now at the final four, she's in some danger if like the other solo player left wins the HOH and then one of the duos wins the veto. She could get evicted there. But like it's not a terrible spot for her ultimately. Right. And I do think she's still live with shots at the jury. So, you know, it's I genuinely think that there is a path for every single person left in this game to win.
[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_03] I agree. Which is pretty wild.
[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_01] I completely agree.
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_03] I agree. Taylor might be in trouble, though, if she sits next to Dee, it seems like what happens if I guess Melody wins, it wins. And Devin, say, wins the veto. And then it's like basically Devin's end and Drew that would be cast in the vote. Am I missing a person?
[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_00] I think Drew at that point votes out Dee, certainly. Right. I don't think he's taking out Taylor over Dee at that point.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_03] Yes. You know, taking up an extra chair, maybe. You know, you never know.
[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Taylor and Dee final two might be. I would be interested in that. Like, I like I understand that Taylor, she's upset right now. We saw her drop an F-bomb live on TV and she's calling everybody gum and stuff. I need her to cry for like 10 seconds and then I need her to get her head back in the game because technically she can still repair that that the relationship she has with with Dee and Devin.
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01] There's not anything to really repair, to be quite honest. They were planning to go to four initially, whatever. She needs to get back in with them, I think. She's never had a good relationship with Drew, but she does have a pretty good relationship with Melody. So, yes, cry. I get it. All your besties are gone. But get to work, girl. And she's good at that.
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01] We saw her getting to work this whole week and locked herself safe while she was sitting on the block. So she can do it. She she can do it. This is her game. It's the type of game that we know that CBS Big Brother cannot edit. They don't know how to edit. It's true. They'll the the casuals will be like, what's she do? She ain't do nothing. But she she is. She has a path. Like Terrence said, I think everybody has a path.
[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_03] Is there like a type of comp that's usually final five that we can maybe expect to be happening right now? Like, well, does she have a chance of winning? I would love for Taylor just to get some power, at least right now. That'd be kind of awesome. Final five. H.O.H.
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_00] H.O.H. Which they've already done now as the Vito. They did the Swords right at final five.
[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, Swords. Or sorry. Was that was?
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_00] No, yeah, that was.
[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_01] Final five.
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_00] That was final five. And then Keanu was final five. Vince beat Keanu at sword. That one. And then what was the Vito? I actually don't recall. I don't know. I'll just remember this. No, comics was way earlier.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_01] It was the stack. Nope, nope, nope. That was the first one. This is the one where they're swinging around on the on the bungee. Or is that comics? No, I can't remember what the final five Vito was.
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_00] Was it Tiny Vito? It was something about. Final five Tiny Vito?
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_01] Oh, it might have been Tiny Vito, actually. Morgan did win that one, if I'm not crazy. They were stabbing. They were stabbing. I just remember them stabbing Keanu's voodoo doll to vote him out. And apparently there's going to be something like that next. It's the Pharaoh's curse or whatever. So maybe Tiny Vito again in some capacity?
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. For the Vito? We didn't do Tiny Vito this year, right?
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_01] I don't think so. No, not yet.
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_00] So we could have a Tiny something. H-O-H or Vito.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_01] I love Tiny Vito.
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_00] Human Dice, they did at four, right? They did that. That was the final four Vito, I believe.
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_01] Was it Final Four? Because was that the one that Keanu beat? I thought that was the one.
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_00] No, because Morgan crushed Ava.
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_01] That might have been the H-O-H.
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_00] Because it was, I think she was competing against only either way.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, she was competing against Ashley and Ava.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. So either way, kind of the point is, I think it's kind of wide open in terms of competitions. I mean, Devins has had quite the streak of competitions that have favored him in terms of the ball drop, in terms of puzzle, and then puzzle. So seems unlikely we're going to get many more puzzles. So he might run out of the things he's really good at. And the thing about Devins is that he's not good at everything.
[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_00] He's really won this puzzle stuff primarily. And outside of that, hasn't really won... The ball dropping one, I think, is one of the only other comps he's won that wasn't a puzzle. He won the early Vito that was a puzzle. And he won that HOH that was kind of like a crapshoot thing. But even he would credit Haley for much of the win on that one.
[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.
[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_00] So D, though, has also been decent at most things, but not great at those puzzles. Although those puzzles are kind of run out, then that's maybe good. Tiny Vito, anybody could be good at.
[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_01] Honestly, never know.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_00] And the dice... The dice, I do think Devins would be good at. But Drew...
[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03] How does the dice one go again?
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_00] The dice is they're in the dice cage and they roll it physically. Because I think... Whatever number of dice. The dice is the best. Drew's the tallest at this point. He'll be able to roll it best. But does he know the pattern better might be a thing. So, man, it's all over the place is kind of the point here. It really is coming down to these competitions. Okay. Let's kind of run through this. Let's rewind a little bit.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_00] Of course, it was... It's double eviction, baby! What was the double eviction, baby? But first, we lost Barrett. It hooks white here, Devins.
[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01] We are too far into this update without saying my blooms name, man. RIP to Barrett. He's still alive, but to Barrett's game. Can I just say... Sorry, I'm a rant. This is the worst possible outcome for future Big Brother. In a sense of Big Brother... Barrett makes the huge swing last week and he nominates the icons.
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_01] He goes against the whole stick with your onion alliance. Just get to whatever and then duke it out. It's finally somebody who has the stones to go up against that rhetoric, put up three icons, and it then immediately ends up in his eviction the next week. Which is only two, what? A spot?
[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_01] Two spots sooner than what he probably would have ended up at if he stayed within the parameters. Which, again, wasn't guaranteed because Dee and Angela were already talking about targeting Drew and Barrett on the week that Barrett won HOH anyways, no matter what they said. So I say it's bad because, just like hindsight, people are going to be like, they're going to boil it down to Barrett shouldn't have made that move.
[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_01] He shouldn't have gone up against the icons and his big alliance. He should have just stayed. When the actual problem was, which Julie actually pointed out, was Barrett made the move and then did not put in the work to make the move stick. He didn't put in the work to make sure that his target left. He didn't put in the work to build in trust with Yash and Taylor. And then on top of that, he did do that in a sense of like Yash and Taylor were never really coming for him.
[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_01] And he still ends up on the block because of this bribe power that production gives Dee, who does expertly use it to her advantage. So even then, he still only ends up on the block because of this power. And so I don't want people to take away from this because it's hindsight that Barrett made a horrible move. He should have just stuck and wrote it out and did da-da-da-da-da.
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_01] No, he should have worked harder to make sure the move benefited him better in the long run. But yeah, that's my rant. I just don't, I can already see it now. I can see it now. Future players sitting in the house. I don't want to be like Barrett and turn on my alliance, my set alliance. Oh, my God.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03] At the beginning of this season, so I put my all my money in on Barrett for the stock watch. And I haven't been good with playing it. And but I was like hoping the first week I was like, he might be an underdog. He might be someone that's going to do well. And I just left it all on him. And I was hoping like when that happened, I was like, maybe he's going to turn around and I might do well in the stock watch in the end. And so I actually was still riding for Barrett.
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_03] But kind of like you said, Mari, that unfortunately he didn't like it's kind of like he made the move and then he got scared of the power that he had. And he just recoiled and he didn't want to follow it through. He didn't enjoy taking any heat. He was kind of able to be pushed into a corner because of the the way that everybody that he put up on the block was reacting to it. And unfortunately, I wish he just had the follow through, because I think if he really continued to nurture everybody around him and be like, hey, we're doing this together. You're on my side.
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03] Like we're working together. Like, let's do this. We need this for us to have a shot in the game. I think he would have had a better chance of like lasting a little bit longer. But like you said, he just didn't nurture those relationships, unfortunately.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Yeah. And for its worth, I don't know that it's like the prevailing narrative that Barrett shouldn't have made the shot. Obviously, the question was asked and like the icons themselves made a big point of it. But like, I mean, if the icons do go on to dominate this game, I don't think anybody's going to be like, well, Barrett shouldn't have taken a shot at them. You know what I mean? Like if D or Devins wins, I don't think it's possible for that to be the narrative, considering they went on to win the season.
[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_00] So you've at least got that going for you. But yes, here, man, I thought Barrett was going to leave because I thought it would be ropes. And then we get a comp preview of the blockbuster that, by the way, won Mike Bloom. Mike Bloom scything.
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_02] Mike Bloom scything.
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_00] Participated in. And and what what a what a nice surprise that was. And we see that it was not the ropes. It was, in fact, something to do with balls, which was exactly what Barrett asked for, by the way. He was like, I really hope it has something to do with balls because that's those are he won the blockbuster with balls. He won the H.O.H. competition with balls. And now look at this. He's got another blockbuster with balls. And and I was like, OK, never mind.
[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_00] I think Barrett might actually stick around. And then it didn't quite happen that way. Now, what's interesting is that. Sorry, Mike Bloom, but like testers were terrible at this. Horrible. Mike didn't get a single ball in in the five minutes or whatever it was.
[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_01] And neither did Julie. Nope, neither did Julie. I thought it was harder than they made it look harder than what the contestants made it look so much so that when they did it, they said it was going to be four balls. And then when they came back and the contestants did it, they said five balls. I was like they up the balls when they couldn't even get. I was so confused at first. But Melody showed you it's just about the touch. Once you get the touch, it's like it's easy.
[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_00] Oh, man. Let me say this, though. I do think this was an exciting night. I I got heated watching this competition. And you you all you all know why. I know why. Because they had two different. You can see the wide shot. And oh, my God. They kept cutting away. Yes. To somebody's face.
[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_00] Like literally the shot of me right now. Oh, I'm so happy. I'm seeing this instead of what's happening. There was literally a moment where Barrett was about to either get it, get the ball in or miss. And it was like, oh, oh. And then they cut to Taylor's face. What in the world are we doing? Literally just take your hands off the buttons.
[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_01] Do nothing. And then on top of it, they played that music that had this weird baseline that sounded like what the ball sounded like when they hit the thing. So I was even trying to, like, listen to see if other people's balls were dropping. It was like, no, you can't even do that because this weird sound audio is just. I don't I don't want any of this.
[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_01] And I just kept thinking about you, Taryn, every time they were single shot, single shot. And especially when Barrett gets his first ball in and they're like, oh, yeah, Melody got it, too.
[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_00] Melody, too. And it seriously matters which one gets it first, because if they tie here, whoever got it first wins. But oh, well.
[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_03] What's interesting, though, it actually takes away the excitement and the anticipation, because like you don't know how close it actually is to see somebody like, oh, they win. Oh, OK. What happened? How did it happen? Like you don't see all the edging that's going on. Like, oh, my God, it's so close. So I don't know why they haven't figured out yet that like, hey, just let us see the competition.
[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_00] If you're going to have ones like literally somebody just sabotage the extra cameras so that they don't get tempted. You know what I mean? Like, I don't understand what goes through their minds when they're like, we could leave it here where there's a great shot and everyone will be really tense. But there's a button that if I press this button, it'll change it. Oh, it's like little kittens.
[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_02] Oh. Oh. Oh.
[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_03] Maybe you should send in a petition or something. We should start one. Another change.org. Please don't do this to us anymore.
[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_01] No, they're not going to listen to us.
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_00] So. Melody wins this, crushes this competition. And and you know what? I've been saying it all season long. I've been saying. There's still time, you know, like Big Brother is a long, long game and you cannot win competitions for 73 days. And then win like five.
[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.
[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_00] And the whole the whole perception of everything changes. Now, Melody has not won five yet, but she has won two. And and I and I do think this was like the last chance. Right. Like if she if she and I said this on the on the roundtable on Monday, I said, if she if we come back from the final five HOH and she still hasn't won a competition, it's too late.
[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_00] So this was I do think her last chance to really start a new narrative for her game. And I think winning blockbuster and HOH back to back is a good way to start that. Now, I still think there's a lot of room to travel. There's a lot of road to to to embark upon here for Melody. But she's she's got that in now.
[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_00] Now, if she were to win, you know, another veto, another HOH, like maybe a final three HOH. You know, I do think that there's a lot of shifting of perception of her like entire game, both from the house guests and the fan base. Again, she actually needs to win those wins.
[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_00] But but, you know, this is exactly why you can't necessarily count anybody out in in the show, especially when players like Yash are not competing and then they get evicted and the field opens up a little bit more. So kudos to Melody. She wins this. It was necessary if she hadn't won it. Barrett would have and it would have been her out. So she makes it through.
[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03] And there's also going to be some momentum here. Like now she knows that she can do it. She's done it back to back. And that feeling of like, yes, I made this happen. Yes, I did it twice in a row. She might still have that energy that might take her into the next head of household. But wait, she wait, was she the last one?
[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_02] Mm hmm.
[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_03] Anyway, she might be able to win her next competition just because she has this newfound feeling of being able to actually do it.
[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, if it's Tiny Vito, I agree. She has every chance. She's very good.
[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Yeah. Tiny Vito.
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_00] Um, so Melody wins and this is the end for Barrett. He does not get Drew's vote. Uh, Drew holds to what he promised Yash in the first bit. Um, and, um.
[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah!
[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_00] Y'all haters. Hold on.
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_01] Not haters.
[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_00] Perfect soundbite for this. Mike Bloom's hiding.
[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Not haters. I love seeing you do that, Mike. You're just going to get a little better.
[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_00] Mike, do you think they made it easier after you played? Do you think they were like, oh, it's too hard. We should make it easier for the players.
[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_01] Catch you.
[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_00] Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_01] That gap between the, like the maze and where they had to get it into. I was like, oh, like they also had to do the, like the flip up thing too. Kind of like the egg rolling cop to really get it in there.
[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Uh, he just says, I'll note that Julie also got zero balls.
[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_01] We said that. We said that.
[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_00] We had to cover, Mike.
[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_03] Don't piss off the tiger mom.
[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_01] Hey!
[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, that was weird. Um, so Barrett is the first one out here tonight. I was sad to see Barrett go, you know, for as much as you can blame him again for the HOH, uh, the way he handled the HOH at the very least. Um, you know, he clearly was there because he loves the game and he loves the show. And it was cool to see him, you know, even be like, I can't believe you're saying middlemen, Julie.
[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_00] Like, uh, and then she immediately follows it up by saying tool shed, which he specifically was just talking to Drew about. Like, he's like, I hate tool shed. I would do everything I can to avoid saying tool shed.
[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_02] I forgot about the tool shed.
[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_01] But, but, uh, Julie Chen made sure to remind him. I am truly so happy for Barrett. Like, I think Barrett's game is probably one of the better super fan games that we've seen, especially in like modern era, big brother. Because I think now it's kind of hard to get on as a super fan and everybody talking about, uh, optimal strategic game moves, optimal strategy, blah, this, that, that.
[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_01] When you get into that house, I've, I've said it time and time before, once you get into that house, you have to play the hand that you're dealt. And a lot of the times the optimal strategy is not available to you if you are not in that, the position to take it. I said it with, uh, when Taylor, for Taylor BB 24, um, uh, stuff like that. Like, it's just, I, I think he did a good job.
[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_01] I think he is, I'm, I'm glad he is so proud of his game because I personally am proud of him as a, a super fan. Because we can all say that we're going to get in there and we're going to do X, Y, Z. We're going to do this. And then you get smacked in the face with reality and you can burn out and flame out like Frankie. You know what I'm saying? Or you can go the distance like Ian and Steve, but it's just like, it just depends, you know? And I really do think he did the best with, with the cars that he, he was dealt.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And I mean, listen, like there is a world where Barrett goes out and the only ever narrative that exists for him is the one that did exist prior to that HOH win, which was primarily, he was the biggest vet pet of them all. Like he just rolled over and died every single time, uh, and just allowed the game to play around him because he was sucking up to the vets the whole time. And he just did whatever D wanted him to do.
[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_00] Instead, the narrative is like, did he take the shot too early? Did he not follow through correctly? And like, as a player, that's so much better, right? Like it's so much better to have taken the shot and missed, to have taken the shot and tried, uh, then to have, as he said, like just rolled over the whole way through, been removed from the game because, uh, it was inconvenient to keep him around.
[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_00] Or maybe even he does get dragged to the end, uh, and you know, as a zero vote finalist, or, you know, you could argue, maybe he wins that way. Maybe the jury is bitter against D and Barrett pulls away a win and 750 in your bank account is, you know, uh, going to be nice consolation for all the people saying he didn't deserve it, but he loves the show. And how likely was that, you know, you want to take your fate into your own hands and you want to take a shot. And he won that HOH.
[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_00] And at the end of the day, there really wasn't much of another option anyway, uh, unless he wanted to use his HOH to take out like Taylor or Melody or something like, uh, like it was, it just wasn't going to happen. If he takes out Yash successfully, which might've been his other, like a good, like position, but he said he couldn't have, like the vets wouldn't have voted Yash out. Even if Yash had stayed on the block because Yash still had the bribe.
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_00] So it was like, you know, he went for it and, uh, and, you know, I think he's, he's rightfully proud of the attempts here, even though it did not work out for him. Uh, and you know, you can still blame him for it because it was his fault, but he took a shot and that, uh, that means something.
[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_03] Absolutely. And as a super fan, he has people at least talking about his game, talking about what moves he couldn't and could not have made. And so it's way better than just being like, oh, he did nothing. We're not even going to bother having a commentary or critique about it. And so he did do something. It did not work. It wasn't fully executed the way maybe he'd hoped it would be, but at least we're talking about it. And so as a super fan, at least he did something that is worthy of critique.
[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. So with Barrett gone, we get to the following HOH competition. And I'll say again, like I, I really felt like when I saw what the HOH competition was, I thought, I think Yash is good.
[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_00] Because this was the best possible, I think, HOH competition for Yash, because it was the most random HOH competition, which meant that Taylor had a good chance of winning it comparatively to what, to another kind of HOH competition. And it meant that the veto competition was much more likely to be physical, something that he would have an advantage in. And so I really felt like this was really, this really good odds for Yash.
[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_00] And then it came down to Melody or Taylor, both of whom were not primarily targeting Yash at the very least. And so he had even better odds. Like my, my like Yash is staying odd meter was like going up, up, up.
[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_01] And then just like your Barrett one.
[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_00] And then Melody pulls it out. I did, I did play along. I was like Taylor one point behind Melody. She would have beat me too. I was, I had four in a row. And then I just, I, I, I couldn't clutch it up. Um, but, uh, but Melody wins another competition. Her nominations are easy. It's D and Devins. Um, and the intended target, of course, being Devins.
[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_00] Uh, she's wanted Devins out for a while. Now, again, the, the, the tricky part here is that she hasn't necessarily wanted D out. Despite this whole segment where like D was like, who cares if you wanted to keep me? That does matter. Because Melody did want to keep D at, at that point during that week. Uh, and you might have seen the results of that here. We still don't know exactly what her intentions were with the renom once we get there.
[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_00] But the point here is that she clearly was targeting Devins with the hope of taking Devins out. Uh, and then they do get to this veto competition. And, you know, like, uh, at this point, it's looking like D could be in some serious trouble. Because we don't know where Drew's going to vote for sure. And this is one of the few scenarios I'd, again, I'd mentioned Drew, Devins, and Yash, the three most likely people to be evicted.
[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_00] D was fourth on that list, but she was a distant fourth. There were very few scenarios that put D directly in the line of fire. And we managed to basically find one of those scenarios, uh, which was a Melody HOH and a Devins veto. Um, and, man, uh, this, this got real intense real quick.
[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_03] I kind of thought though that even D thought she was going home. She's kind of like, you did it. You're so like, she was like, you know, congratulating Devins. And to me, it didn't seem like she was about to put in some work and get things to shift and change. It seemed just a little bit like she, she thought that she might, her game might've been over. And so I was kind of feeling that way myself personally. And when Drew was hemming and hawing, that's the only time when I was like, okay, I guess she's staying. But I thought that he was going to probably take the shot.
[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.
[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. It's, it's, it's, I agree, Chantel. It's really one of those things that I was just like, again, which threat do you take out? You know, and if we're putting the onus on Drew, it was smart for Drew to take out the competitive threat, you know, for him. So this really was this scenario, Taryn, I don't think I would have thought of it.
[00:41:38] [SPEAKER_01] When Melody won, I was like, wait, who did she say she was going to put up?
[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_00] It was not on my list of like likely outcomes. I was really looking at like a D or Devin's HOH. I really thought they'd have the bulk of the win equity here. But obviously Drew was in there with a shot. For a second there, it looked like it was Melody versus Devin's in the HOH. Then it was Melody versus Taylor. And man, it got really interesting.
[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_00] This veto competition, again, this was one, as soon as I saw it, I was like, okay, this one is Devin's Yash or Drew. Very likely. It's all going to be about running back and forth and putting the pieces in place as quickly as possible. Now, previous iterations of this competition made it difficult, more difficult at least, to actually hit the thing. I believe this was like the hockey one that Nicole Anthony won. Again, BB21. Oh, yeah.
[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_00] And if I'm recalling correctly, like it actually like it took a little bit to fit to like actually hit the thing into the thing. Whereas this was just roll the ball. Like it was almost impossible to miss. So it was really big.
[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_03] The ball was super big.
[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_00] And the receptacle was like massive as well. So, you know, it was really just about like, how quickly can you put this puzzle together? And the puzzle wasn't that hard either. It was really just how fast can you run back and forth without screwing up the puzzle? And like, end of the day, you know, I was watching this. And even right from the start, because I was looking at Devin's and Yash, because they were the two I was paying attention to the most.
[00:43:21] [SPEAKER_00] Devin's just had way more hustle. Like from go, Devin's leaped at the pieces and Yash went to the pieces in my the way I saw it. And as I kept watching them, Devin's was like frantic, like going for it. Yash was kind of like calmly putting the pieces down. And I was just like, Yash is not he just doesn't have that hustle in him right now. Now he is still sick for what it's worth.
[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.
[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_00] But it just didn't seem like he had much hustle. And it does make me wonder, like these competitions that Yash has won on speed, he did only beat Devin's by like 20 or so seconds in BB Comics, which confused me. Because, you know, he performed pretty well in BB Comics. And I'm wondering if, you know, Yash has been great at all these competitions, but like maybe he doesn't have hustle in him. He's just really good. He's really skilled, but he never had the hustle.
[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_00] You know, like he only beat Devin and Taylor in the HOH that he won by like 20 to 30 seconds. So maybe like hustle is one of those things that like it's it really does matter in these comps. Like making sure you're going as quickly as possible makes a big difference. Now, all that said, Devin's was just faster. He was just faster. He puts the pieces in. Yash was, I think, at a clear second place.
[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_00] He only needed like maybe one or two pieces left before he could have he would have finished two. But but Devin's came in. He won his third straight week, at least of, you know, crucial competitions to save himself. And just like that, I was like, OK, this could be D. Like we don't even know yet who Melody will nominate, because if Melody nominates Drew,
[00:45:19] [SPEAKER_00] which is not likely, but they're clearly pitching it, that would be a whole thing. But if she nominates Taylor, it could very well be D. If she nominates Yash, it could still be D or it could be Yash. And I can't wait to watch the conversations. Yes. Or maybe maybe we'll see him on Unlocked, actually. But oh, yeah. Like this this felt intense. And we don't usually get double evictions like this.
[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_00] Usually double evictions are exciting when you watch the comps. And then as soon as the person who wins the comp, you go, OK, this is what they're going to do. And then if this person wins veto, this happens. And if this person doesn't win veto, then this happens. And then it's kind of over. But in this case, like at every step, it was like, yeah, we knew who she was going to nominate. That was that was the one easy round. But then who wins the veto? Devin's wins the veto. Who's the replacement nominee? Yash is the replacement nominee. Who does Drew vote out?
[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_00] And Drew sits there in the diary room. Vote to a fix. Yash. And it's like, oh, my God.
[00:46:34] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.
[00:46:36] Yeah.
[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_01] I really. As soon as Devin's put that puzzle piece, like put the ball in the thing. I was like, oh, Gigi's D. I was like, I'm going to be mad if D goes home. I legit thought she was going to go home. And then when I realized, I was like, oh, my. Oh, no.
[00:46:53] [SPEAKER_01] I will say now that I'm thinking about it, if if Drew would have voted D out, then no matter what, that would have pulled Devin's closer to him. Right. Because like, like Devin's loses his clear number to Devin's is still a comp threat. You have Devin's and Melody. Melody can't.
[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_01] Melody can't go for H.O.H. And Devin still has to deal with Yash. So maybe.
[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_00] But I mean, strategically, because I was talking this through at the time, I was like, what is better for Drew to do? And I do think strategically it was better to vote out D, but competitively it was better to vote out Yash. Right. So it's like.
[00:47:45] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, exactly.
[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_00] What are you banking on the most? Are you banking on being able to win the comps to get to the end? Or are you banking on positioning yourself more strategically? Because unlike, say, the D and Angela vote, there's a there's not that wide of a gulf in competitions between the two. And and one gives you a better strategic position. But that difference could be the difference between, you know, winning out and not winning out.
[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_00] Because, listen, yeah, as you said, if you vote out D here. Then, you know, what where does Devin? Let's say Devin's wins. Who's he targeting? He's targeting either Yash or Drew. Right. If Yash wins the veto, Drew's out. That sucks. Right. You just. That's true. And then he beats you in the veto and you leave. But if Yash doesn't win the veto, there's a chance that, you know, either you win the veto or Yash leaves.
[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_00] And now it's you and Melody still in the game at the final four, which is pretty good. But if you vote out Yash, which he did and Devin's or D win the HOH, as we said, they shouldn't be targeting Taylor, which means they're targeting Drew or Melody. If Drew wins the veto, he loses Melody. If he doesn't win the veto, he probably goes. And either way, he's either gone or now in the final four without Melody, which is not great.
[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_00] So he really needs to bank on the fact that he can win this HOH if he's going to take out Yash. If you're going to take out Yash, you've got to win. If you don't if you don't take out Yash, you still have to win, probably. And now you have to win against Yash. But if you do win, you're in a better spot than if you didn't. So it's you know, it's it's very complicated. And either way, there's arguments I think that you could make.
[00:49:35] [SPEAKER_00] But yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, it's going to be what we said before. Like, it's really going to be decided on how it plays out. And yeah, and what's interesting, too, you know, because obviously Yash and Taylor faced a not quite similar situation. But, you know, Yash's whole argument for keeping D over Angela was he said, I sit next to Angela. I go home. If I sit next to D, I don't go home. Yikes.
[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_00] I could say that falls flat. Now, to be fair to Yash, I don't think it ultimately I don't think it would have changed anything. To be fair to Yash, I think if this were Angela, it's all the same outcome. And that maybe if there was a chance it wouldn't have come that come out this way. You know, it was more likely that he wouldn't have been voted out over D than would have voted out over Angela. But he didn't get voted out or he was voted out over D anyway.
[00:50:36] [SPEAKER_00] And you could argue that, you know, having to compete against D versus Angela, even though D didn't beat him in this competition, was also more of a risk at the end of the day. So, either way, man, we did see Yash and Taylor attempt fervently to get Drew on the block here. Yash, and this is the thing too, Yash and Taylor had talked about if one of us needs to get used as a pawn,
[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_00] it should be Taylor because I'll get voted out. And Taylor didn't love that. And we did, I think, see Yash mention, like, it should be you, right? Like, Taylor should be the one to go up because they'll vote me out. Like, Drew will vote me out. And it's like, if you're Taylor, is it worth taking that risk? I don't think so. No. Because if Drew votes me out, I'm gone.
[00:51:31] [SPEAKER_00] And if Drew flips on Yash, it's not the end of the world. You know? So, I'm glad that Taylor didn't, like, actively volunteer and push the Drew angle instead. Obviously, the Drew angle goes nowhere because, again, when it comes to this HOH, I think you could argue that putting up Taylor was the better move for Melody because it would have maybe forced D out. And maybe that's a better move. Maybe. But not necessarily.
[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_00] But, man, it's a double eviction. Anything can happen. And what do we always say? Don't put somebody up if you don't want them to go home. So, you put up D. You put up Devins. You put up Yash. You don't make the mistake that Barrett did. You don't give anybody an option to vote out anybody that's not a threat to you, meaning Drew or Taylor. Those should have been her priorities of people to keep safe. I think it makes sense to not put the two of them up and to just make sure that at least one of those three,
[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_00] who are all big threats to her, one of them has to go home. Or the jury.
[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_03] I think with Drew keeping D, I think it's just like a matter of like there's two icons and there's one on the other side. And it's kind of like he doesn't he doesn't want to lose potentially two votes or two people's influence if they're both in the jury. And I think that that basically is why he kind of went that way. And I think that he has been working with the icons this entire game for the most part. And so he will be able to say that, like, hey, I've been loyal, loyal to a fault. I've ruined some relationships.
[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_03] But it's because I built my team, my group from the very beginning. And that's who I was loyal to. And he might be able to sway some people with the fact that like his loyalty to certain people. Unfortunately, it wasn't everybody. Obviously, it can't be. But I think that's kind of why that he ended up choosing to keep D this time around.
[00:53:23] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. And and the fact that like when we see Yash, I can't wait to see the like the Sunday episode and all of that. But correct me if I'm wrong. When we saw Yash say, oh, you should go up. It still looked like Taylor was like, no, because Drew will vote us out. And she was she was pushing. She was pushing the Drew angle so much.
[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_01] So my my thought process is they should have done what they did with D and Devins. Yash and Taylor made sure that they checked in with D and Devins to have a plan going into the double eviction because those are the people they wanted to work with. Those are the people they thought were going to win these competitions. They definitely dropped the ball on Drew and Melody. I mean, technically, Melody dropped the ball on them, too, but she's in the position of power.
[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_01] So we're going to say that it was their fault because Melody didn't do any campaigning throughout the week. And yeah, they should have just talked to everybody in for contingencies. And because trying to get Melody to make that big of a move with that least amount of time, I would not trust you. You're pushing so hard for me to put my number one on the black. I don't trust you enough with his with his BB life.
[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_01] So, yeah. Wow. That is going to be so good to see.
[00:54:54] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I mean, I think I think if you could point to one thing for Yash, it's that he you you probably shouldn't have won the H.O.H. again, like the whole point of keeping D was that he wouldn't have to win that H.O.H. If he had not won that, if he had thrown that H.O.H. to either Taylor or D, because either one of them were close enough to potentially win it. I think this looks very, very different.
[00:55:21] [SPEAKER_00] And, you know, it's hindsight is 20, 20. I normally do not advocate throwing H.O.H.'s. His case was obviously a very specific one with the bribe in the in where it was. And, you know, at the end of the day, I'm not going to fault him too much for winning that H.O.H. But again, it's like I did I did feel like it was contradictory things to save D and win H.O.H.
[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_00] I felt like one or the other, you know, and if he had voted D out and also given the and then he would have been able to freely give the H.O.H. to Taylor because D wouldn't have been there. Taylor could have won that H.O.H. And then they, you know, the world, the world's their apple, like their oyster, like they can they can do whatever they want at that point. But it just it is what it is at this point.
[00:56:12] [SPEAKER_01] Hindsight.
[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Yash has one last message to the world. Stay hydrated, America. Stay hydrated.
[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_01] For real. Poor poor poor man was struggling. Yeah.
[00:56:29] [SPEAKER_03] Do you think there's going to be any Yash, you know, wig? So they have like costumes for Halloween. Do you think people will have a hard wig to pull off?
[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_00] Oh, my God. I hope not. You're going to have a bald cap and hair on it. It's not a bald cap. Like it's like a short haircut.
[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_01] Short haircut. Yeah. I mean, what makes it a skullet and not just a mullet?
[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_00] Because it's so low in the front. Because a mullet's like it's like long all the way through. Right. It's like it's long on top and it goes long all the way into the back with the sides short. OK. But the skullet is like buzzed all the way around. With just a little. A patch on the back.
[00:57:19] [SPEAKER_01] I think in Texas they call that a shag, but I'm not sure.
[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_00] Huh. Who knows? Mm-hmm. All right. We did. We lost Yash here. Like I said, I really ultimately was not expecting it until it just about happened. I will say I was getting the vibe when Yash was pitching to Drew and I saw Drew's face. I was like, oh, it looks like he's going to vote Yash out. And it did happen.
[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_00] But I was still just like, I was still so just like this was not what I thought was going to happen. As he walked out that door, he talked to Julie. I did. You know, Yash was a great character. And and I think he made a couple of strategic blunders here and there. But but he really I think I think if he's not voted out tonight, I do still think he would have gone on to win this season. I really do.
[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_00] I think he would have continued to crush the competitions. And and I think that I think Yash was real close, real close here.
[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_03] Do you think it could be because he was sick and under the weather? I know you're mentioning that he never really had the hustle. He kind of only lost by a short margin every time. But if he had the hustle, knew that like his game life was on on the line and he was at his full 100 percent capacity. Like, I don't know. I think he might have had a little bit more.
[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_03] So it's really unfortunately fortunate that he wasn't feeling well because he might even say, like, dang, like if I just had a little bit more to give, like maybe I would have stayed in the game.
[00:59:02] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, it's certainly possible. I mean, I do think Devins was far enough ahead that I'm not. It's like it's so hard to know. Obviously, Yash wasn't sick. How much faster could he have moved? Like, I don't think we can say with certainty if Yash wasn't sick, he would have won. I think I'd be more confident saying that if Yash wasn't sick during the veto that he gave to Drew, that he had a much better chance.
[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_00] But but this one, I think was it was probably just not not quite there.
[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah, this seemed like Devins just had the touch on this one.
[00:59:39] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. So there it is. Yash is out. We are at the final five. And who knows where we go from here? The H.O.H. is going to be very, very important. Obviously, we did hear from from James Gunn, who, by the way, Rob and I spoke with prior to the episode and had a great time talking to James Gunn.
[01:00:06] [SPEAKER_00] So check out that interview if you haven't. It was very cool to get to to talk to him. I'm a big movie guy myself. I was like, dude, I like Slither was one of my favorite movies growing up, man. It's a good one. It's a good one. So that was very fun.
[01:00:27] [SPEAKER_03] Sliver with Sliver. That's a live year with Slither. OK, so I was like Slither. Oh, I was like, isn't that like an erotic thriller? Sliver?
[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_02] Oh, wait. Wait now.
[01:00:43] [SPEAKER_00] It's a good one. It's a good one. Alien. Alien.
[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.
[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_00] So I and it was so I think the probably the most wild thing was like, obviously, you know, at the end of a podcast, you're like, hey, we have anything to plug. He was like, yeah, watch Lanterns. Sure am. Sure am. It's a great show, actually. Great show. Yeah. Cool plug.
[01:01:11] [SPEAKER_02] It's like real. That's fun.
[01:01:16] [SPEAKER_00] I feel.
[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_01] Was he the only guest that they like announced in advance? They're like, stay tuned for James Gunn. He did.
[01:01:22] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I think the rest of them have been surprises.
[01:01:25] [SPEAKER_01] Surprises. Yeah.
[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. So that's cool. So I guess he will be on Unlocked as well as as we mentioned, Rob. I think they mentioned Britney would be there. I'm not gonna lie. I was mostly focused on Rob. I think they said Cedric.
[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Cedric. I don't remember that. Chelsea.
[01:01:43] [SPEAKER_00] And Chelsea. Yeah.
[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_01] Chelsea. Yeah.
[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_03] Random.
[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_00] An eclectic bunch.
[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Like, is Cedric a long time fan?
[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_01] Britney, Rob, Cedric. Yeah.
[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_00] Who knows? But listen, we all got to be tuning in to Unlocked tomorrow night. Not only to see Rob, but also to see, I think, hopefully some footage from the double eviction. So that should be very good. And what else? What else do we even have at this point?
[01:02:14] [SPEAKER_01] I think that's it. They're saying the feeds are back up.
[01:02:19] [SPEAKER_00] Feeds have been up.
[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Feeds have been up. This was a good double eviction in a sense of like the episodes had me on the edge of my seat. I, I'm trying to remember the last double eviction where like two big comp threats went out. But it's easy to do that when you have what? Five out of seven. Like five people out of seven are comp threats. You know, and the only two people who aren't, one of them wins all the comps in the night.
[01:02:50] [SPEAKER_01] So, yeah, that was fun.
[01:02:53] [SPEAKER_00] How about Drew pissing off Julie? Drew!
[01:02:57] [SPEAKER_01] Right. What was that? I was like, man, 22 year olds ain't got no respect. I was just like Julie. My, my, my mom's side was jumping out too. I was like, if you don't get your butt to that couch, live TV.
[01:03:10] [SPEAKER_00] He was really feeling, he was really enjoying the power he held. He was like, I don't know. I'm going to slowly walk over to the, I'm the swing vote, right? Do you know who you're talking to?
[01:03:22] [SPEAKER_03] Do we think America's favorite player is in the house still? Or do you think they've already been evicted?
[01:03:27] [SPEAKER_00] I think right now, top two, Yash and Devins would be my guess.
[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_02] Yep. Yep.
[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_00] With Devins probably in the lead. But, but I think Yash leaving in the way he did. Depends on how Devins leaves potentially if he leaves. But we'll see.
[01:03:49] [SPEAKER_03] No, I agree with you for sure. Yep.
[01:03:55] [SPEAKER_00] All right. Well, tomorrow morning, noon Eastern. I will be back. I will update you on the state of the house who hopefully will know who won HOH by then. And we'll have a much even clearer idea on like what this end game looks like. Dee's talking to the cameras right now about her end game plans. Should be interesting to discuss. And, and then again, yeah, tomorrow night. Unlocked. Check that out.
[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_00] I will be streaming during Unlocked on my Patreon, Twitch and YouTube. I'll also be covering Traders, which started in Traders New Blood. I'll be covering that on my Patreon. If you are interested in getting my coverage for that, that's purely on my Patreon if you want to check that out. So, and, and also Survivor starts next week, which I'll also be streaming. What? That's so much. All of it. Yes, we are officially two weeks away from finale night.
[01:04:54] [SPEAKER_00] So, yeah. It's all, it's all happening. Mari, what do you got going on?
[01:05:00] [SPEAKER_01] You can find me over on Blue Sky with blooms. At Mari Talks Too Much. That's two, like the number two over on Crime Scene. If you go to CrimeScenePod.com, you can subscribe. Me and Sarah Carradine, we talk about true crime documentaries, docu-series. We rate them and tell you if you should watch them. We just previously talked about Welcome to the Family, The Murder of Dan Markell, with special guest Chappelle. We had a lot of fun talking about it.
[01:05:29] [SPEAKER_01] So make sure you are subscribed to Crime Scene.
[01:05:32] [SPEAKER_00] All right, Chantel.
[01:05:33] [SPEAKER_01] Come on.
[01:05:34] [SPEAKER_03] So you can find me at Chant Friend Fran on Instagram. Or speaking of Chappelle, me and him are having Sunday school every Sunday, where we've been going through the whole Flavor of Love universe. Right now we're at the finale of Rock of Love. I don't know what's coming up next because this whole universe is, I'm blind to. And so it's been a really fun ride so far, and I can't wait to see where it goes. So join us on Sundays.
[01:05:58] [SPEAKER_00] All right. I was hoping one of you would say lanterns.
[01:06:04] [SPEAKER_01] Love it. Not covering it.
[01:06:07] [SPEAKER_00] All right. Well, that's what we have for you all. Thank you all so much for joining us here tonight on the... It's double eviction, baby! We will see all of you next time. Hot damn!
[01:06:20] Hot damn!
