I'm your host, Taran Armstrong, and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds.

[00:03:30] It was day 68 in the house. And we got hit with something. We got hit with something. We got hit with an unexpected live feeds of an endurance competition. So, we got to talk about that and talk about who won. And with me to do it is Iman. How you doing, Iman? I'm good. I'm good.

[00:03:59] It was a pleasant surprise. Um, because none of us really expected it because they told us as much not really to expect anything. And when do we really ever get to see Vido competitions on the feeds? Um, so the fact and the fact that it was an endurance comp as well, like very, very cool. Uh, so, you know, I'm not sure why they couldn't just tell us, Hey, what you doing Saturday?

[00:04:29] We got some plans for you. But I mean, I guess the nice little surprise is still, still fun, I guess. Yeah, I would, it would have been nice for you. Oh yeah, for you. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. Yeah. For sure. I, uh, I was, uh, I was like, I actually had a, I had quite a busy day up until that point. I had recently gotten home, was about to take a bit of a nap because I was pretty tired.

[00:04:59] And then, uh, feeds went to, uh, the like be right back screen and, uh, it was like, Oh, here we go. And then they came and then they came up to, uh, to a competition. Yeah. And, uh, and so I immediately jumped on stream and then, uh, nine hours later, I was still streaming. Okay.

[00:05:29] So it's a long, long, long comp. This one is up there, right? I'm not sure what the record is like for longest competitions in BB us history, at least, but I would have to imagine over 14 hours for the OG pressure cooker. Uh, we don't know exactly how long this one went. Um, but, uh, we do not think that it ended up breaking the record though. It did. I think once again, come close, but it's up there. Okay.

[00:05:57] Well, good for them. Good for them for coming close to, to making history with this, with this comp, this surprise comp in all. Hmm. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, weirdly, despite how long this competition was, uh, and this is probably going to be a shorter update. Um, number one, I, uh, was awake for it all, uh, streaming for most of it.

[00:06:27] Uh, and so I have very little sleep at the moment. Number two, uh, this is a lot of just people standing around, not saying anything or talking about the Fockers movie. Uh, so, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, not much else to say there. Lots of content, very little words. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:06:52] Um, so first of all, D and Devins were chosen to play in the veto. Uh, neither of them were that interested in winning the veto. So probably not the best choice there, uh, in terms of, uh, active decision making. Uh, Yash had talked to Taylor about potentially choosing Devins to play, uh, just to, you know,

[00:07:17] show good face to the vets and to give better chances of potentially, uh, preventing Drew or Barrett from winning the veto and therefore Taylor going up. Um, I feel like Taylor probably would have had a better chance of winning this competition than Devins or D who didn't really care about winning this competition, but it is what it is. Uh, D did talk to the cameras.

[00:07:45] Um, she said that melody leaving is the worst case scenario this week because obviously Drew or Barrett, uh, are the targets. Melody is the worst competitor of bunch. And therefore melody leaving would be, uh, you know, the worst case scenario is, uh, you're not getting out a big competition threat. And then that scenario would happen if Drew or Barrett win the veto. And then the other one wins the blockbuster. She says she is done being mean to Barrett.

[00:08:15] She feels bad now. Uh, and, uh, and it also scares her that Yasha's bribe is over, but she will keep him safe if she wins HOH, which is a bit of a contrast to what she had said to Devins the day before Devins had said no. And now she's telling the cameras that she will honor her alliance with Yash. We'll see is I think the conclusion we should come to there.

[00:08:43] I mean, it, it feels, it feels obligatory. And like, I mean, I, and I, you know, we have no reason to, to believe that she doesn't feel that way at least now because she's talking to the cameras. But I, I would like my, my read on it is that it just feels this person has kind of like, even though I bribed him, we've kind of been in this sort of like pseudo alliance. So I do feel some type, some strain, some weird strain of loyalty towards him for right now.

[00:09:12] So maybe we can keep this agreement going for a little bit longer if it serves us both. But if push comes to shove, you know, we know that he has that cut through energy. So I think she would see through the trees and be like, all right, well, it might be time for him to go. But I have no doubt that in her heart, she feels some type of like some type of solidarity with him at this point.

[00:09:33] So yeah. And, and the, I would say the bad thing for Yash is that if there are any players who are capable and primed to be able to change their mind on a dime during a double eviction, it's a survivor player. Yeah. I usually talk about how like sometimes big moves aren't made in the double because there isn't enough time for them to like wrap their minds around it. But if you haven't planned for it, it usually doesn't happen.

[00:10:03] But survivor players, they operate like a double eviction is like not that far off from the kind of scale that they might usually play on survivor with. So even if she goes into the double, not planning to, I feel like she still could be like, wait, we have all the power this week. Yeah. If it ended up going that way. Yeah. But we'll see. Especially because I feel like a double is so much more akin to like how quickly survivor even works.

[00:10:30] You know what I mean? Obviously survivor is what, like three day cycle, something like that. So, you know. How many more has like a one day? So that'll be just like, oh, okay, well let's get it cracking. Where's Jeff at? Let's stuff this torch. Let's get it cracking. It's, it's live tribal. It's like, uh, it's the scramble before tribal. So, uh, it's, it's, you know, they're used to making quick decisions. So I think a large reason why they make so many of them, uh, on big brother. Right. Um, she also does talk about sitting next to Devin's in the end.

[00:10:58] She's still not sure that she would like to, but she does think it's possible that she could win. I agree. I think it's possible that she could win, but I, I don't love her chances against Devin's versus her chances against say Taylor or melody, which I think should be her priority to sit against in the end. If she can manage it, um, you know, against Devin's, I think you, you have to be concerned about like, uh, true.

[00:11:25] Surely, uh, you have to be concerned about like all of the big moments and moves that he made. I think Yash is probably a Devin's vote. Yash has said before that he thinks that Devin's was behind a lot of these moves. I think one of the reasons why Yash trusts D is because, and he says it, he thinks that she's not as like good at the game as Devin's is. Devin's is a more dangerous player. Um, and so, uh, that would be, I think concerning.

[00:11:52] And if Yash has that opinion, then, you know, does how, like, how does Taylor feel? I think Taylor could be more pro D, but it would depend. Uh, I think Lala and Angela, maybe depending on where Taylor is like, that's, I honestly, I think Taylor is a huge, huge, important vote for D in that scenario. So, uh, it's still an up in the air vote, but, um, you know, obviously you kind of don't want to have to, to, to take that chance. Yeah.

[00:12:20] Like why run the numbers if there is a, you know, a clearer, a clearer option here. You just never really know. It's like when situations like this, where you have vets or returning players or whatever it is that make it to the end together, you do sort of have to run that risk of, you know, if you guys are both there, both of you did something right. Sure.

[00:12:41] But I'm sure some of, like, both of you are going to try to take more credit for the game, but you don't necessarily always see everything that your fellow vet is doing 100% of the time. so the relationships and the deals that they make that you're not in the room for even though you don't feel obliged to know everything because you know at the end of the day you're who they come home to right still those like minute differences in relationships are everything in the end game so it can be very very dicey it's kind of like you know what we

[00:13:11] saw in bbcan 12 with spicy v and anthony it's like spicy v wanted to believe that like at the end of the day anthony was going to be all for the two of them in the end sitting together telling that story together anthony's like well actually no because i see how loyal some of these girls are to you and not only that i just see how you're moving it's just it doesn't make much sense for us to go to the end and you know i i think you know i think d will probably come around to that at some point

[00:15:49] with the sword they're holding up uh the it's it's themed uh in the like the uh the meet the parents

[00:16:14] the premise of the movie is that ben stiller uh is like gonna is like dating or gonna marry uh another person and her parents are robert de niro

[00:16:39] uh and uh and he's like the most like aggro dad of all time uh like father-in-law of all time um and then in the sequel you meet uh the the ben stiller's parents and uh and they're like like really hippie weirdos i believe okay and then it's like oh look at these two parents

[00:17:07] interacting that's my memory of it from when i was like 10 years old so like a mid-2000s romantic comedy type deal you know hilarity ensues all-star casting for the draw truly a lot of yeah big time casting and now we have fokker-in-law with ariana grande and i'm assuming most of the

[00:17:30] returning cast i believe i'm yeah i believe they have uh all returned i would assume all right maybe i'll maybe i'll watch it before fokker-in-law comes out well listen you see how it holds up there's i learned this last night there's even a third movie i had never heard of it in my life it's called little fokkers oh what you call me and i assume it's about them having children

[00:17:58] oh it has a poor rating on imdb and uh like i said i'd never heard of it in my life but it does have all the regular casts okay all right so you got three movies to watch if you want to catch up i've okay maybe i'll just do the one yeah it's a little much a little much there

[00:18:21] um anyway so the theming for this competition is that they're down in the basement and uh they are there's a big like lie detector thing and they're all wired up with lie detector with jumpsuits number one uh and like little like uh like little armband and they're they've got like things wrapped around

[00:18:45] them looped through their jumpsuits and they're holding up uh with their little sword with their little needle uh a like lie detector test results like a little tiny little piece of cardboard essentially um very different from last season maybe not very different but different from last season in the sense that last season this competition was played of course at the final uh five

[00:19:13] um and uh four people played it uh it was ava ashley vince and keanu um ava and ashley were out in the first 30 minutes because they could not hold it up uh it was too heavy um i don't know i don't remember exactly if it was the sword or the mask or both i'm pretty sure the mask that they were holding up was heavy don't remember the sword was also heavy either way it was just too difficult um it

[00:19:43] didn't last very long and then of course keanu versus vince keanu famously uh distracted himself talking too much because he felt pretty good uh and um and ended up uh going out pretty early uh in less than an hour however prior to that in big brother 26 uh lia and cam went for nearly 10 hours

[00:20:10] and they had to intentionally make it harder on themselves by standing on one leg in order to end it um they were holding up uh what i assume is a very light little marshmallow thing um in that competition so in this competition they're holding up a little little tiny little sheet of lie detector results it seems quite light uh and uh this one has already been going for at least around two and a

[00:20:36] half maybe upwards of like three to three and a half hours by the time the feeds come up and everyone is still in the competition taylor is the only one not playing by the way forgot to mention this such old news by now but taylor not playing in the veto meant that there was no chance that she could win the veto use the veto and force an icon on the block therefore uh devins and d are lock safe that's why they didn't care about winning the veto that's why they were talking about that all intrigue loss

[00:21:06] one little shred of of interest just evaporates just like that in one veto ceremony yeah um so all six people still in the veto for quite a while uh and um and they're just they're kind of moving along um it's uh they're all doing pretty well another thing to remember i mentioned this before but devins had been

[00:21:34] sick that illness has passed to yosh who was just kind of like on the verge of getting sick uh and so yosh is in there and he's sick uh and it's like it's relatively quickly apparent that he is like not feeling well

[00:21:55] um he's uh his voice is not doing well he's coughing occasionally and he's saying stuff like this i'm just gonna be mad golden after this because he's really thirsty mad golden

[00:22:20] he's really thirsty he's he's this is the first uh i heard of it but he talks about how thirsty he is and this was like you know four hours in um it's something that he keeps bringing up like what's happening is that like drew's doing a lot of talking devins is doing a lot of talking uh there's a lot of like just like

[00:22:46] banter and nonsense trying to distract themselves talking about movies talking about shows talking about uh the season whatever and yosh is pretty silent for the most part for a lot of this occasionally they go to yosh and him speaking uh sounds like uh like an earthquake in the mojave desert like yeah what was he what were you saying yeah

[00:23:16] he's getting more and more sick over time the edit is going to be very uh they're going to have fun with this i can already tell they typically like to edit this particular comp um in a lot of comedic ways so yeah i can already see the the shifted focus the the distant voices of his fellow house guests in the background um just yeah the dizziness of it all yeah it's rough

[00:23:44] it's rough it's rough i saw like a little bit of a debate um online earlier this week about like how are people getting sick inside the house like it's an enclosed environment i'm like not really they have people that come in and give them food and fix up the hoh room if one of those people is sick that's all it takes and then it passes and it passes and it passes so you should blame production it's their fault he was pushed yosh was pushed okay i mean it's just like i can't imagine

[00:24:13] what could have been more miserable than this like just being sick for this specific competition just what a nightmare uh so he's struggling quite a bit um barrett is a bit tall for this competition as well uh he's holding the sword down like as low as possible in order to keep it

[00:24:40] uh like parallel to the ground while hitting the the the little like platform thing which do we think that that was fair no uh i think you know more fair would have been uh adjusting to your height because they could do that for the wall one correct or am i misremembering that like i feel like if you're a little taller generally well uh it depends it's sometimes they do sometimes they don't

[00:25:09] uh they haven't on the wall now on the wall they're often just giving them different uh uh handheld handholds um different like leveled handholds yeah uh to choose from but uh but either way he's he's quite tall and uh and he's holding the sword quite low um and uh he's also holding it relatively straight a lot of them are bending the sword by pressing it in uh his is held quite straight which makes it a

[00:25:35] bit more wobbly in general uh so he's not looking amazing and he's occasionally kind of like having to bend over quite a bit um melody she's on the other end of this she's a bit short for this competition and so uh instead of being able to hold it at like a comfortable level uh down below she's got it up here at

[00:25:59] her chest uh holding it like this which if you just like right now with your arms hold them like at a 90 degree angle or a little bit lower versus holding them up here you'll immediately doubt like it's a bit harder to hold them up here and she's having to like rest her arms uh occasionally yeah

[00:26:21] to keep her to keep the sword upright so this feels like it can't last um devins looks rock solid exactly the right position exactly the right height for this competition he's not sick anymore uh he's looking quite good um d is a little a little moving all over the place and her sword is positioned

[00:26:49] pretty poorly it's like uh she eventually also just like kind of like she moves it down because her her like thing was placed a little strangely and yeah uh and it and she looks like perhaps the worst of anyone um except for maybe drew who looks terrible he looks worse than yosh but he's not sick or he

[00:27:14] doesn't seem to be sick what a drag what a drag expose him he looks he looks like he is like mid fever and he is like dead tired uh he he does not look good uh in this competition and he is like also quite fidgety um a lot of movement happening from drew so there's like not a lot of confidence there in

[00:27:44] drew either at this point uh but it's like who knows right um and yeah he is constantly taking one hand off of the sword to fix his hair uh which is not helping no no yeah it was uh he uh i i didn't think that he was gonna last as long as he did i really didn't um spoilers uh

[00:28:14] um um they all lasted very long they did they all lasted a very long time um so uh so that's where they that's that's kind of like the vibe here um and it is after quite a while uh that we eventually do get to somebody starting to really struggle and it's and it's d it's uh it's what i was

[00:28:40] talking about before where like she was trying to move uh her sword down um and it it was not like a good movement now she had like very little wiggle room to deal with and she kept kind of like wiggling around uh and it uh it eventually cost her yeah um and d becomes the first person out

[00:29:09] of the competition uh she is going to tell the cameras shortly after that uh this was a throw that she you know she had been there for uh like something like five or six hours um and she wasn't ready to sit there for another seven um which was actually a pretty good read on her end uh because she

[00:29:35] didn't need to win this veto and she didn't want to like you know elevate her threat level in any significant way uh and she was like i'm not gonna i'm gonna go inside i'm gonna eat i'm gonna sleep i'm gonna do whatever i want uh and she says devins should come out too what is he doing in there um so she gets to go out and as soon as she gets to go out taylor also gets to leave taylor's been

[00:30:00] sitting uh on a stool this whole time yeah a stool with no back because she was on punishment that might be worse than standing with a sword on a thing it felt like it feels like if this were survivor there would be something under that stool that was like an advantage for her because like what pure torture like to just sit there and just sit there and just sit there um but yeah i mean uh you

[00:30:27] know i mean i i get it from d that's fine um i mean the threat level thing i think that your threat level is kind of already kind of well known um i mean that's why you were put up on the block that's why all three of you were put up on the block last week so i don't think there really is any escaping that so that ship i think has sailed for me but you know yeah i mean you are safe devins is safe there's no point in trying to win the veto unless you were absolutely 100 trying to ensure that somebody

[00:30:56] went home in which case maybe you should have stayed up there longer um but you know i get it conserve your energy it's fine okay it was hot in there too so whatever yes so when d leaves taylor gets to leave and uh and they both get to go into the house and they they're able to watch on the screen

[00:31:20] they have no audio they just they can just watch uh what's happening um so we the competition continues for a long time um and uh and so d had dropped at around like six or i think she was there for around

[00:31:44] five and a half hours um and uh and and we just keep going for a while uh and barrett still just he's now like really just starting to like yeah fully they call it flamingoing

[00:32:04] just fully bending over uh to try to do to try to like get closer to the proper center of gravity um and uh and so like that's not looking amazing um yosh just gets sicker and sicker

[00:32:27] he keeps asking for water uh they all are really hot in there because they're wearing these jumpsuits with multiple layers and uh there's like not enough air and so uh drew's trying to like unbutton his the top uh bit of like his shirt from the like the jumpsuit looking thing um and uh and melody's

[00:32:54] really struggling again she's still like having to rest her arms she's holding it up here devon still looks completely solid um but uh but melody soon starts to say like oh man my bra strap just fell off shoulder that's all that wiggling all that adjustment um and drew it just starts like uh just

[00:33:20] starts yapping you know he's just he's just yapping uh and as he starts yapping uh and as he starts yapping you can tell it starts it really it's distracting the more you talk and the more people are talking to you keanu can attest to this the more distracted you are um and uh and so as drew starts

[00:33:41] yapping melody gets distracted and she drops the sword and just like that melody's out and this is quite bad for melody yes because if true or barrett win this veto it opens the door considerably to her being evicted this week uh you you would say oh she's locked safe against the on the block against

[00:34:08] barrett or drew but if one of barrett or drew wins the veto and then the other one wins the blockbuster she ends up on the block against taylor and against taylor she at least right now is the likely target is the likely person to go home it's the worst case scenario for d and for pretty much anyone in the house but it's the scenario that would likely happen uh and so losing this competition

[00:34:36] is definitely not amazing theoretically this could have been one that she might have been able to win leah did really well in this competition but it just wasn't hers and not only that but both drew and barrett are still in it so not good for melody yeah uh it it to me i was like oh you're probably gone this week now um because i just i mean you know there's there's still some time left things might

[00:35:06] shift it it really depends um but the way that is looking now it doesn't it doesn't look great for her you know i felt yeah i mean drew like drew and barrett are two of the four people in this competition now and like yash is looking quite sick and devins doesn't have a lot of incentive to win so it is it's like it's not looking amazing here for yeah yeah yeah i mean i felt for both her and barrett because i mean because i mean you know when i asked earlier it's like yeah we already know the answer to the

[00:35:36] question is is it fair that the height is kind of like can work against you no i guess the real question was like does it matter that it's not necessarily fair and i kind of like go back and forth on it i'm like i mean not every competition should be catered to everyone i think that's like what makes the variety of winners you know more probable is that things are just not going to be in everybody's wheelhouse um but it does sort of it always sucks to see that someone's physicality is

[00:36:04] the reason that they are sent home in a in a situation where it is really do or die and you just you can't help that you have to keep adjusting you can't help but because you're adjusting then your bra strap starts to fall like it's just uh it's it's rough but i mean hey that's that's how it goes yes and now the three women are inside and the four men are uh are and i guess not outside but they're still doing the competition in the outhouse in the doghouse

[00:36:34] um and uh which is exactly what happened last season as well uh with the three women and the two men uh and somewhat similar to last season they start you know talking about bro-y stuff um oh look it's this is the four of us uh drew talks about the dapper dance he's like hey look at us the dapper dance this is the dapper dan alliance uh and they're like they can't hear us right

[00:37:06] well they couldn't they could no um melody was out at about six hours also i did the math wrong in my head because i don't have any sleep uh it was four and a half not five and a half for d um melody's out at about six hours so about an hour and a half later melody goes out uh and they continue

[00:37:30] and uh and melody's quite upset obviously um and they they keep talking more about movies more about uh having kids about devins's kids about all kinds of nonsense um and uh and as kids is nonsense to you taryn uh well some of the things that that uh some of them were saying about kids was nonsense um

[00:37:56] um and uh and uh and as they continue um devins who had previously looked rock solid starts to not look solid anymore he's starting to move around yeah in fact he's he starts he pulls a maneuver he squats down and holds the sword above his head to keep it level

[00:38:24] before coming back up and he pulls it off but oh boy was it risky very risky and you start to wonder is devins starting to run out of gas yes or is he starting to feel like i don't really care to keep

[00:38:45] going here and this really like kind of opens the competition wide wide open because yosh continuing to look more and more sick and sound more and more sick drew still all over the place barrett still like hunched over holding on uh and it's like i don't even know at this point uh who can pull this off because

[00:42:17] passes and we're now at around eight hours and uh and devins he goes for another one squats down and oh that time it was too much yeah devins is out he worked his eight-hour shift yes clocked out

[00:42:42] and they were now down to three the two nominees on the block still ferret and drew two targets on the block along with yosh the hoh who is still quite sick and getting worse rapidly he starts to really say like he's still just like begging for water like he was begging for water like three hours in they're now

[00:43:09] eight hours in and he's like so thirsty bro yeah like that genuinely was what he sounded like um and uh and he's occasionally looks like he's starting to disassociate um and uh and barrett is you know barrett weirdly actually like kind of livens up a little bit with more people gone which is kind of i think just like i think he's just more comfortable with less

[00:43:38] people in the room um and uh but but he's still you know he's been but he's he's looking almost better now like he's found some kind of rhythm yeah um and drew also who at the start of this competition looks terrible uh his really starts to like perk up a bit um and and get get real chatty

[00:44:01] uh he'd already been chatty but he starts to get real real chatty like uh big brother five jace pressing the button on his face chatty uh he starts making noises he starts yelling names uh barrett yosh drew

[00:44:22] barrett yosh uh and just he just starts yelling and and man uh i think that yosh at one point wanted to murder him i think that if he could have he would have taken that sword and murdered him uh as would i have as did i quite feel like i wanted to at the time because i'm also standing walking mostly and streaming

[00:44:49] watching this and i feel not great at this point and i'm i'm now listening to to drew as he makes loud squeaking noises with his shoes um constantly chattering constantly saying like hey guys let's all take our jackets off as like a cause like a challenge because it's so hot in here uh and they keep saying

[00:45:14] no but eventually he just kind of like they're just like okay you know what we are actually quite hot and so barrett actually fully does it first slowly taking his jacket off while holding the sword uh manages to do it uh and then drew's like all right and drew takes a much longer time because those the there's like little tubes wrapped around them that are looped into the clothing

[00:45:40] yeah and the tubes like ribbed uh so it's like hard to pull out of the the the thing um and so he's just like he finally gets it off uh and he's like yosh your turn yosh is like no but even yosh eventually takes off at least the top half of it uh he leaves the bottom half still in

[00:46:05] and he just kind of folds the shirt down um and uh and drew just starts like he's pulling up his his sleeves it's like yeah it's like guys i can't see my arms do they look good do i yeah this is good guys and and i'm not gonna lie he looks pretty he looks pretty good his arms look pretty good

[00:46:32] and he it's a it's a stark contrast to how he started this competition uh where like he looked terrible but now he's like he's he's standing there and he's he's chirping off and barrett looks miserable and yosh looks miserable and drew kind of is like seems like he's taking charge of the the situation mania

[00:46:59] slight manic episode and i've honestly i i was so here for it like one of the reasons that we all love these competitions so much is that yes a lot of them test your physical endurance but it's all about that mind and what can people do to test that what are you willing to put up with how much more annoying do things become when you're in that situation where you're very uncomfortable

[00:47:25] any squeak any squawk any chirp any chip is going to be like nails on a chalkboard and i just i love it so like while you taryn were annoyed i was like i would be doing the exact same thing if not more i would be especially when you get down to that many people oh man i probably would have lost because i would have been doing too much trying to just get these people to break

[00:47:55] because at this point that's all it is you know once your body kind of finds like a rhythm of like okay this stance is going to work i can stand here for at least five more hours then it's just all about like what's going on up here and so yeah talk talk talk talk talk talk talk um annoy annoy annoy annoy do whatever you have to do to to make it as uncomfortable as possible you know yeah uh but

[00:48:21] i i do want to make this clear too it wasn't all annoyance either uh there was also some like actual bonding happening they do a whole thing where they talk about like what they love each what they love about each other um and uh for as annoyed as yosh was at times i think that he also like came around uh at some point and like talked about how he respects drew's tenacity um

[00:48:51] and uh you know they devins left at around eight hours and four more hours pass of this of just the three of them uh and then another like almost full hour passes five hours of the three of them together

[00:49:15] uh and you know it it does kind of like it it's it's a bit it's a little bit bonding i think i think it's a bit rare also for like i was gonna say i feel like at least at least in recent seasons i feel like it's rare for all of the guys of a similar age bracket to make it this far into the competition because like so many of them always get picked off from time to time and we already saw it with rome

[00:49:44] um and then they're like there you know there were other guys in the house that were kind of like more like physical comp beasts but they were like a slightly older than these three so i thought that that part of it was interesting as well it's just you know you know what else is what else can happen besides like the competition of you know trying to you know win this other than them eventually starting to bond over similar experiences or you know what you were saying before and

[00:50:12] what they liked about each other and all of that stuff um which i think you know to their credit i think it's something that really really helps in the end of this thing so yeah i concur yes well eventually uh at around um and and and i for my stream at least i'd been going for

[00:50:36] nine hours they'd been going for roughly 12 uh at that point uh maybe a little more uh i was like all right yeah i i gotta i gotta end the stream did you eat at least i did eat yes uh but you know because the thing is you end the stream you don't just fall asleep right i i don't at least uh like it's it's

[00:51:02] like generally at least two hours before you are able to wind down and fall asleep so i was like all right i got it because like it was getting to the point where number one there's still three people left in this competition it's now like uh nearly 2 a.m and the update is in like six hours yeah

[00:51:26] and there's a very real chance that this is not going to be done by the time the update starts uh so um so i was like all right uh how many steps i got uh what was my final it was over 30 000 steps um yeah so uh quite a lot uh but uh you're better than me i got home from my part time i turned it on

[00:51:53] i sat there and watched a little bit you know did some house chores and stuff like that we're reaching like what like 3 a.m at this point and i'm like okay um so i turned on some video games i think i was like playing tomb raider and we reached 4 a.m 5 a.m and it is still going and i was like okay i can't do it anymore so i passed out and i woke up 30 minutes later because like

[00:55:26] squat back up and every time like it nearly goes wrong uh and eventually it does for one of them barrett's loses it uh he is uh you know he is just really not feeling it he's bent over uh and he eventually drops a like nearly around 13 now we don't know exactly when they started so we're

[00:55:54] we're purely kind of like um estimating here but at roughly uh 13 hours barrett goes he leaves the room and this is bad for barrett he is now in uh a situation where if drew wins this veto and he's one of two people he needs to win the blockbuster in order to survive and the blockbuster might not be very

[00:56:22] suited for him either as somebody who's quite tall they're all expecting ropes once again that could be bad but the interesting thing about this that i don't know that we've like properly hit on because you know i'm tired uh is that like number one this is the first veto competition in a regular season at least ott of course excluded that has been shown on the feeds like properly shown on the feeds like

[00:56:49] this doesn't happen in veto competitions uh and that's largely because you don't do endurance competitions for veto competitions but i have talked about this before that it makes a little bit more sense to do veto competitions as endurance competitions or rather endurance competitions as veto competitions because one of the reasons why this is going so long is that there's not really

[00:57:12] any incentive to make any incentive to make a deal here it's do or die for drew or barrett they can't drop and allow the other person to stay because if if they if drew drops or if barrett drops they stay on the block like there's there's no like oh i promise you won't be on they're just they stay on the block uh and if yosh drops he's allowing one of his two targets to come off the block there's just not really the

[00:57:42] same kind of room for negotiation that there is in an hoh competition where it's like oh well i'll keep you safe it's actually fine if you drop like things will work out all right uh that incentive is not there and they they're talking about that in the house too they're like oh boy but barrett drops and it's now down to just drew or yosh and at this point again like drew is looking fine his sleeves are up

[00:58:09] he's looking good and yosh is looking tired and sick and he's coughing and it's it's just not looking great and drew pounces on this weakness as soon as barrett is out of the room uh yosh come on let's let's let's talk let's make a deal uh and yosh is just like i'm just gonna be mad

[00:58:38] golden after this no that's not what he said uh yosh is like i don't know man uh and drew's like come on like we can work something out here uh you know and like i can't i can't go back on it if i make a deal because then i'll i'll be a snake you already are a snake that's exactly what yosh said

[00:59:05] except it was you already are a snake bro uh and drew drew is just like come on man you us two running it to the end like we can make this happen dude uh and uh yosh is like i don't trust you man like you've got a weird thing with the icons you've got a weird thing with them

[00:59:32] uh it's like no he doesn't i'm like their baby it's weird bro it's very weird it was weird for a long time and drew says dude i voted d out i have nobody left i've burned them uh i have nowhere else to turn

[00:59:55] now this is a lie right like drew has continued to try to work with the icons for days after voting out d he was trying to work with the icons all week long before that uh this is i think the biggest tell that drew is probably not being super truthful in what he's saying here uh not to say that he would plan

[01:00:22] to go back on this deal necessarily but obviously he's angling this in a way that just whatever he needs to say to get yosh to drop um and so i he said i've got nobody he says i i put it on my boy matthew my dog my cousin uh on my sister i will not go against this um and uh and you can see like as

[01:00:49] number one as yosh talks more like his voice starts to come back a little bit because he's like you know warming up the pipes i guess um and uh and and i think also like the thought of maybe being done with this has like livened him up a little bit um he's like okay maybe maybe we could maybe i'd be willing to

[01:01:15] think about this uh like and drew's like come on this could be the start of something beautiful and she's like it could have been the start of something beautiful so many times before dude uh and he's like yeah you know but but listen you know uh i i will not you know i it sucks that taylor needs to go up but like i'm not gonna i won't you know i won't necessarily i won't vote taylor out like

[01:01:43] i'm not gonna go after taylor unless i have to um and like obviously i want to keep melody around um it was like but melody's not winning comps and taylor's not winning comps we're basically playing the same game we're loyal to people that don't have to win comps you're east coast i'm west coast this goes west coast man um and yash is just like all right i just i just like let me think for a

[01:02:10] second because because drew just keeps talking mm-hmm he gives him a second he starts thinking it's like okay all right i i mean do we just go back and forth on this shit we just go back and forth on these dubs the two of us drew's like yes bro you can't go back on this man

[01:02:38] it's like i can't i have no choice and you can't tell anyone you can't tell anyone we made this deal they're watching they're they're watching and let me tell you they're like what are they talking about they're making a deal huh and yash is like i'm not gonna drop immediately because we can't i can't drop right after we we talked like this you cannot tell anyone that this happened just i'm down

[01:03:05] so he doesn't drop they just kind of keep lightly chatting for a little while uh he's like all right how do how am i gonna do this and he's like all right what if i start doing the squat thing and so he starts doing the squat thing he starts to say oh and then it drops and he makes it he makes a show

[01:03:39] oh darn it slipped damn oh i can't go out i'm sick and just like that after almost 13 and a half hours drew wins the power of veto saves himself

[01:04:08] mm-hmm yet again in a week where he was nearly dead in the water yeah and he was done taylor will be the renom uh and we now have barrett we will have barrett taylor and melody on the block if barrett wins the blockbuster it will be between taylor and melody which

[01:04:34] drew has promised he will vote out melody uh though he was like he they talked briefly about like well if the icons are already voting out melody then maybe i don't need to vote out melody uh because i don't want to burn her unnecessarily but he promised that if the vote was needed he would vote out melody uh the icons plan to vote out melody at this point but again you never really

[01:05:00] know with them and the fact that yash did make a deal here and they already suspect it and that he might not tell them about it and that drew might rat it out is another reason they could flip on yash yeah if barrett does not win the the blockbuster it is likely just barrett that leaves uh but uh but here it is yash gets to to go up he's lays on the floor

[01:05:27] this man uh and meanwhile drew's just still pumped up like drew is fine like he it's like drew went through his period of fatigue at the start of this competition and kind of only got stronger over time uh yash was like on death's door uh and he was really strong he was desperate for water he was like i need my

[01:05:54] liquid ivs he was talking to somebody off camera like there's water back there right he was starting to forget that water existed in the house uh and so listen i think a lot of people are really upset with yash right now for making this for accepting this deal um i would say a couple of things to that number one uh if

[01:06:22] if you weren't watching the whole thing i don't think it's even possible to sort of like communicate to you how miserable he was and how miserable he seemed that whole time like he's he was sick he didn't uh and if you watch the clip of him making the deal he looks fine but that was the best he had looked the entire time that they were doing this competition and again i think it's

[01:06:51] because he was getting perked up at the idea of it finally being over uh i don't think that this was a case of yash being like all right i fully believe in this deal i think this was largely a case of yash being like i genuinely don't know how much longer i can be here uh and let me try to get some semblance of something in this in my favor exactly sometimes you just have to do things that are

[01:07:17] good enough in this game it's kind of you know it's kind of like you know the big debate about what just happened with this past eviction and like you know everyone getting on taylor and yash for for what they did with the whole angela thing and it's like you know yeah we can argue to the cows come home about it you know i think there are arguments for both sides but i understand you know you do sort of sometimes you have to do things that you think are going to just be enough for

[01:07:41] that moment and sometimes those are the moves that can get you closer towards the end and sometimes even win not always but sometimes and i think you know for right now for like what he had left in the tank you know and to drew's credit like or is it like a drew's you know pulling the eyes over anybody or pulling the wool over anybody's eyes no but i do think that he at least was saying

[01:08:10] candy coated things that sounded really really good and good enough to be like okay maybe you know so i think both of them just did what they felt like they needed to do in that moment and it just was what it was yeah and like again you have to remember that they have now been going for nearly 14 hours no food and importantly for yash no water like what is the main thing they tell you when you're sick

[01:08:37] like stay hydrated like and he's sick like he's just full-on got uh an illness um and he's had no water no food standing there golden for nearly 14 hours like you know i i would there like there's a world where you should criticize yash more for not taking a deal and losing than for you know might as

[01:09:03] well take something although that said it is still like you know outside of that you could criticize this because there is a world where taking this deal is maybe worse for yash uh in the sense that if it gets ratted out or if they do get mad at him for it um it could cause some problems uh that i think is something that you you can say oh well this was maybe not the best idea because maybe if he just drops

[01:09:32] it you know the the vets aren't as mad at him uh because they they don't think they don't suspect him of making a deal um i think the vets probably would have suspected of making a deal regardless yeah but uh but either way uh you know i think the idea here was get as much as i can out of the fact that i am not gonna last um and yeah on drew's end he did he did everything right here he he completely

[01:10:02] was able to uh project an image of strength in this competition uh he was able to distract people uh he's uh he's the reason i think that melody dropped he's also the reason that barrett dropped like when barrett was moving around drew got him to laugh a little bit and and the sword move

[01:10:22] uh and then he was able to talk yash into dropping of his own volition uh before he had a chance of screwing up himself and accidentally letting yash win um so uh good on drew for winning this competition uh i do think that yash you know he he lasted this long to begin with i do think this puts yash

[01:10:49] and yet again a not great position he was saying himself he was like this is gonna like he was saying like this i feel so much worse now than i did before like it's not it's gonna be days before i can recover from this um which is not great considering that he might be in a do or die position during the double eviction uh so like it's just all around not a great result here for yash the best he can hope

[01:11:16] for is that drew just sticks to his word uh and he's got some maneuverability moving forward but as we all know drew's a bit of a snake so not looking great yash just needs to pull a taylor stay in that pod because what's done is done at this point right i mean like you can you know obviously still keep up appearances and still try to you know keep up the relationships that you have with d and devins

[01:11:42] but just hydrate stand at pod sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep build up that build up that reserve again because you're gonna need it because you are looking fat and plumped for that double eviction right now and it's it's it's it's gonna be do or die it's it's it's such a just an unlucky situation that he is as sick as he is now at this point in the game like again yash was pushed no yash was poisoned

[01:12:14] let that be the hashtag for production uh all right well i said it would be a shorter one but never underestimate my ability to turn a short story into a long story especially on a podcast anything else you want to talk about from yesterday i'm on no i'm just glad that we did get to see it um these are one of the things that i love the

[01:12:40] most about big brother is like yeah you can be out and about or at your part time or at home and you can just like turn on the feeds and just casually watch an endurance comp play out for damn near 12 hours and it's just there's no other show like this there's no other show that does stuff like this and so i'm starting to sound like yash i just think uh yeah it's just i just live for stuff like this for
