Also available on YouTube.
Big Brother 28 fans, day 81 in the house brings game-changing tension as the final competitions lock in the fate of Drew, Devens, and Taylor. Taran Armstrong is joined by Aysha Welch for a recap episode packed with live feed analysis, pivotal comp results, and endgame speculation.
The episode digs into the aftermath of Taylor winning part 1 of the final 3 HoH, an upset that leaves Drew and Devens scrambling with both battling injuries. Drew pushes through to face Devens in part 2, only for Devens to clinch the win in a dramatic comeback. With Taylor and Devens now set to square off in the crucial part 3 HoH, Drew finds himself boxed out, left to hope that Taylor might still choose him as her final 2 partner. The discussion examines how injury stories, studying habits, and the houseguestsβ misunderstandings about comp formats could sway the final outcome. Social dynamics and jury management come into play, from Drewβs attempts at speech prep to Taylor revealing game secrets and Devens planning potential last-minute pitches.
- Taran breaks down how Drewβs misunderstanding of the final HoH comp could unintentionally hurt Devensβ prep and help Drewβs own chances.
- Aysha raises how Taylorβs openness about her jury speech and moves might set her back if the wrong information gets out ahead of the finale.
- Jury votes hinge on small details: Melodyβs closeness with Barrett, Angelaβs shifts, and Devensβ possible gameplay changes in the final days all get dissected.
- Drew strategizes about final 2 speeches and alliances, while Devens weighs fake deals and last-ditch efforts to secure his spot.
As alliances fracture and uncertainty grows, the power dynamic may come down to who studies smarter and who understands the final comp best. Will Taylor recognize the threat Drew still poses, or can Devens pull off a pivotal pitch at the eleventh hour? Tune in for the full breakdown and find out what could decide the game in the closing days.

[00:00:11] Big Brother looking at the stuff from yesterday. All the strategy and silliness from Fido to HOA. Every single season, you know he is the reason. You know that he could do it tomorrow.
[00:00:41] Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for September 26. I'm your host, Taran Armstrong, and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened
[00:00:54] yesterday. The Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 81 in the house and part two of the final three HOH occurred. It happened. We have a winner. We know which two players are gonna be facing off in part three and some some fallout from that some some stuff to talk about there and
[00:01:24] and a continued fatal flaw exists here heading into part three that we're gonna have to talk about as well. And with me to talk through it all is Aysha Welch. How you doing Aysha Welch? Hello, Taryn. I'm excited that we have this to talk about. You know, when I knew I was coming on Saturday, I was like, there's no way we're gonna squeeze part two in when the finale is on Thursday.
[00:01:50] I thought they're gonna space it out, give them a few days to kind of let things stew. But no, we have a week we can talk about a lot. So I'm excited.
[00:02:01] Yes. And there's really there's not too much prior to part two. As you know, final three is drew devins and Taylor one part one of the final three HOH, which, which was an upset, considering the drew and devins had both beat her at the wall.
[00:02:23] Um, some people have mentioned drew does have a little bit of a, like a leg issue. If there's like an old injury of some sort that he's been kind of like, kind of like, uh, feeling lately. Uh, devins did ask him prior to the competition part one, uh, if his leg was going to hinder him.
[00:02:46] Andrew said no, essentially. And he hasn't blamed his leg for his part one loss, but it still was something that like was on the mind heading into part two, which tends to be, you know, part one being an endurance thing.
[00:03:00] Maybe, you know, if, if you need your leg for one specific thing and you know, it was probably not a big deal. Although he said it wasn't a big deal to begin with, but part two, you're might be like up on ropes. You might be running around. There could be all kinds of things that could radically impact it. So that's definitely on the mind coming into part two.
[00:03:19] But, uh, but I will say once again, that, uh, I did not see drew mention the leg being any component in any of the competitions that he has played in so far, including part two. Yeah. And, and he won the, the veto where you had to stand for 13 hours. So. Well, that was prior to the, the leg acting up, I think, but. Oh, okay. Okay. So not preexisting to the game, preexisting the part.
[00:03:45] I think I, I, I, I'm not entirely sure. I think the, he has an old injury that has recently started acting up. I would assume due to one of the competitions or, you know, maybe just like, he's not old enough for it to be just like getting out of bed. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. That's Devin. That's true.
[00:04:08] I mean, to be fair, we're, we're pushing that too. I mean, I can, I can relate to one, one long day and the next day you're like, Ooh, man. That's what I'm saying. I was going to, cause I was going to say, maybe it just triggered getting out of bed. And then I realized, no, that's just me. He's, he's 22. Exactly.
[00:04:27] Um, now what is interesting though, Devin's has also been dealing with quite a bad back, uh, issue. Um, and, uh, and that was apparently really acting up in part two. Uh, once we get there, I'm not going to delay any further here. They played in part two of the final three HOH. Um, and Devin's was having quite a back issue.
[00:04:54] Uh, Drew apparently beat him in the first part of part two of the final three HOH. However, Devin's manages to come back from that with the bed back and beat Drew to be the winner of part two of the final three HOH.
[00:05:21] Do or die for Devin's here. He very likely would have been completely iced out of the final two if he had lost this competition. And just like that, he is still in it with a chance heading into part three against Taylor. And, and, and it's all to play for here. Yeah. I mean, this is a scenario that, you know, we, we were thinking both.
[00:05:49] Take, well, maybe not, maybe, maybe not for Taylor, but for Devin's for sure, he needed to be competing in part three in order to be in the final two. And now we have a very interesting scenario. Um, for Drew, it feels like he thinks it's a done deal. Right. But I don't, I don't, I don't necessarily think that's the case.
[00:06:11] Not necessarily though. It certainly seems it, uh, uh, what we, I think, I think you, you make a good point in that like Devin's and Taylor are, I think the two people that 100% needed to win part three, uh, needed to win the final three HOH in order to win in order to have a chance to win because Drew and Taylor almost definitely not taking Devin.
[00:06:36] So he needs to win if he wants a chance to win. Uh, and then Taylor, I think if she is brought to the end by Drew has probably no chance to win. Uh, although you never know with a jury. So her winning and cutting Devin's herself is theoretically her best chance to win as well. So the two people that needed it the most got there, uh, and now we'll be facing off against one another in part three.
[00:07:03] Of course this leaves Drew boxed out. His only hope now is to hoe is to pray that Taylor beats Devin's in part three and takes him to the end and doesn't catch a couple of votes, a couple of extra votes in either melody or Angela and win against him in the final two.
[00:07:25] Uh, so his fate is no longer in his hands. This is the path he chose. Um, and, uh, and Taylor right after the feeds came back is really, you know, just rub that in a little bit to him because I mean, and to be fair, Drew asked, he asked the question. He was like, how do you think D would have done? Uh, in this, like, what would have happened if, if, or sorry, he asked Taylor, how would you have done in part two?
[00:07:54] And she said, I definitely would have lost that competition. I would for sure have lost that competition. And she said, and really, if D had been here, D, I think would have beat me in part one. And then you would have beat me in part two. And then you would have crushed D in part three. And he was like, really? You would think I'd be D wouldn't that be more of a toss up? Cause he still thinks part three is the incorrect version of it.
[00:08:22] And Taylor says, yeah, you would crush D in part three. She's not a damn thing that happened in this house, which she, she, listen, she did start studying, but she was far understudied in comparison to a lot of the other players. And Taylor knew this and Taylor still, I think knows the correct part three and drew still doesn't.
[00:08:48] Yeah. And I feel like this statement by Taylor was definitely more so like D didn't know the days, the days things occurred. Not that D was just like, la, la, la, la, la. And the house didn't know what was going on. Clearly Taylor knew that D was dominant in this game, but ask her what happened on day four. Taylor's like, D's not going to know what, you know, the days.
[00:09:12] So this is probably the worst thing for, for Drew to hear in this moment, because he wants to stand by making the right decision. He wants to stand on that. He made the correct decision, getting rid of D because he tried to account for every scenario heading into part three to make sure that he's in those final two chairs.
[00:09:32] However, with Drew on this comp run these past few weeks, he, he thought getting out Yash would be like, Oh, I'm for sure going to win at least a part or two in the final HOH. And the fact that I don't, I do not think he accounted for him losing at all. Like I think just, he just thought the odds were he would win at least either part one or part two.
[00:09:59] Mm hmm. Yeah. Uh, Taylor goes to her pod. She says alone right after this interaction, she says, and now I can say he's a fucking idiot. I told him you would have a better chance of winning the HOH if you had me and D and me and Devin's. And now he just signed for second place signed, sealed, delivered. Second place is yours, baby boy.
[00:10:30] And she cannot fathom that someone will be playing her second place. But I feel like Drew with it. I mean, yes, we, we had his camera talk later, which we'll get into, but I think Drew is someone of a specific type that wouldn't mind. He got first place or second place. Final two chairs is the win for him.
[00:10:59] I mean, I think he's, I think he's trying to win. Right. I mean, he like, I think it's a nice to have, but if he were in the final two chairs or even if he had the choice, because it made it because I, I kind of think he, if he did win part three, he would have taken Devin's. Even knowing Devin's would win. You think he would have taken Devin's? I think he would rather lose to Devin's than lose to Taylor.
[00:11:27] I mean, I, I agree with that. I think he would rather lose to Devin's than lose to Taylor, but I think he would have thought he could beat Taylor. Yeah, that's possible. But then it's like worst case scenario. I mean, listen, he also, I think knew he should cut Devin's at the start of the final four round. And by the end of the final four round, he convinced himself to go in a different direction.
[00:11:52] So it is very possible that he knew he would need to cut Devin's at the start of the final three round. And then after seven, six to seven days, he convinces himself in a different direction. But at this point, we'll never know. Yeah. Devin's tells the cameras that it turns out Big Brother was his game all along. He's having a bit of an identity crisis at this point.
[00:12:18] He doesn't know if he's a survivor player or a Big Brother player, but it turns out he's a bit better at Big Brother. Hey, look, Sari came over here and did really well at Big Brother, but we still consider her a survivor player. But you can be, why not be both? She's also played survivor like six times to the one time she played Big Brother. Very true. I think it's just.
[00:12:46] It's funny because, yeah, that's I think that's the fandom is like you like one or the other. And then there are those people that like like both. Right. But you like one more than the other. Like, I don't know if you put a poll out there. Who is it? Fifty fifty of like, no, I equally like survivor and Big Brother the same. So it feels like you have to be a survivor person or Big Brother person. But in a world of of two shows, three shows, if you want to include Amazing Race, you could like all three.
[00:13:16] If you made the if you went on Big Brother and made the final three, would you consider yourself a Big Brother player, Survivor player? Well, I wanted to do Big Brother first. So probably Big Brother player. Okay. So I've mentioned this fatal flaw. I've mentioned this this Drew stuff. So I.
[00:13:44] Drew is going to talk to Devin's. They talk a lot about like, you know, again, they're going to bring each other to the end. They've got they've got like all this stuff about like, you know, they don't want to lose to Taylor. Devin's. He's got to study up. Sorry, not not. Devin's got to study up. Devin's has got to like he's got to win this comp. He's got to take Drew.
[00:14:12] Drew and and Devin's does. You know, he also tells the cameras at one point, by the way, he says he addresses this to Drew's family. He says, you guys have you have a really special guy in Drew. You know, he apologizes to Buzz for the for the for the dad stuff. I'm not trying to take your place or anything. I don't want that role. You got it. You have a great relationship with your son, I'm sure. Sure.
[00:14:41] And he says, I would have thrown part one to Drew. I would have stuck to that word. I also will take him to the final two. I am sticking to that as well. He said, I think I'm lying about that. I'm thinking about lying about that to Taylor. So because here's the thing. There's six days. From from when this happens. Today's a Saturday.
[00:15:10] The day we're talking about is Friday. The finale is Thursday night. They have nothing to do. Until then. Nothing to do other than we I've talked about this a lot in the end game. In this situation, doesn't it doesn't seem to matter as much right now, at least. But like when the winners of parts one and two of the final three HOH are decided.
[00:15:35] It gives those two winners a lot of incentive to make a deal to take one another. The person who is boxed out has no leverage. There's no reason to even give them any false like hope to give them any hope at all because they there's nothing they can do. They are purely powerless in the situation for the first time in the game.
[00:15:58] There is no reason that you need to like keep them placated or at least no no mechanical reason because they are there. They cannot retaliate. There's no next round after this one. There's nothing they can do. The only reason to keep them placated is if is more like social reasons.
[00:16:19] If they have dirt that they can drop on you to the other player or if you want them to be blindsided so that they're not prepared for a thing like, you know, there's there's like those social reasons. But strategically, you know, you no longer have to worry about pissing them off nearly as much. So you should go and talk to the other person that's that you're actually competing against to try to ensure that the two of you will take each other or at the very least that person will take you. So there's a lot of time for this to happen.
[00:16:49] And Devins is telling the cameras he's selling Drew's family. I am taking Drew. But he might go and try to make a fake deal with Taylor about this whole situation. Yeah, the only leverage Drew has at this point, though, is his his vote. I think that would be the only reason you wouldn't just ice him out or not.
[00:17:10] Or there have some type of incentive to make him think that or to even bring him to final two, because if he's like threatening his jury vote and you think it's going to be for three, then maybe there's some potential to bringing him as opposed to blindsiding him or like if you win part three, not being the one to cut him if you think that it's going to risk his vote.
[00:17:36] But yeah, I think this was very telling Devins, telling his family, telling Drew's family. But I also do think it's easier to say now, now that Devins won part two, because in that situation, he would think, yeah, I would throw part one to Drew because I would beat Taylor in part two. Because look what just happened. I would have been I would have won that.
[00:17:59] Yes. And that's the thing, like, I'm not sure if I believe I do believe him about taking Drew. I think it would be wild to talk to address Drew's family to the cameras and say, I'm planned to take Drew. If he were lying, doesn't mean he won't change his mind. Yeah, but this does seem to lock in what we already suspected, which is that Devins does plan to take Drew to the final two.
[00:18:28] Was he really going to throw part one? Come on. I don't know. I mean, listen, he is the guy that volunteered for the block. So I'm not going to put it past him, but that would have been a colossally bad decision for Devins. Like to throw one of the two competitions you have to win for seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Come on.
[00:18:57] And here's the thing. I do truly believe as Devins is saying this, he intends to take Drew. Yes. But the finale is not Sunday. It is Thursday, like we're saying. So I feel like the the way that Devins is used to playing with the two seasons of Survivor and now coming here and making all of the like him and D were laughing about how they made moves just because they had time to do it. Like, oh, hey, let's switch it around. Let's do this.
[00:19:26] And I think even with this being day one of, you know, after Devins has won part two and all the conversations that are happening, all the moves that are being revealed, all of discussion that's happening like, oh, yeah, we I did this because of this. I did this because of this. I would not be surprised if on Wednesday on the feeds looking at the camera, Devins is like, buzz. I'm sorry. I've changed my mind. And we'll see what happens.
[00:19:56] But, you know, I did mean it on Friday, but now I'm in a position where I need to win. We've seen him do it a bunch of times before. Yeah. So so so this is the thing I really would like to talk about. Drew talks to Devins and Devins asks Drew about part three of the final three H.O.H.
[00:20:22] And this is this is key because there are six days before this happens. They play this competition live. So now I want to point out that late the night before on day 80, Drew and Taylor had another conversation about part three of the final three H.O.H. where Taylor was even more clear about like it's about knowledge of the season.
[00:20:50] And it's hard to know exactly if Drew finally was able to like take that in. It didn't seem like it because he didn't go like, oh, like so it's it's at least a little bit less clear that he still he very clearly did misunderstand what part three was. I think he likely still misunderstands what part three is.
[00:21:15] But but either way, when he talks to Devins, he says. Here's how part three works. It will be like. Hey, Yash, what was your favorite part of the season? Was it a winning the veto? Be like whatever or see whatever. He says like it'll be like somebody saying a statement. It'll pause in the middle of it.
[00:21:44] What was the end of the statement? And Devins is like, oh, that sounds like a crapshoot. And Drew's like, well, not necessarily. Like, you know, because you might know D's answer and Angela and Barrett, you know, you know them well enough as people to know what their answer might be.
[00:22:10] And so so Drew is now convincing Devins that this is the format again at this point, whether or not he's still fully misunderstands it or there is maybe a world where he is now intentionally sabotaging Devins by reiterating his misunderstanding. I don't think so. I think that he would have said so to the cameras. Right. Yeah, definitely.
[00:22:36] I think he still genuinely misunderstands what part three is. And he is now reiterating that to Devins. Now, there is a world then where his misunderstanding prevents Devins from using any of these six days to study for what is the hardest quiz on the season. And that could be an issue for Devins if he wants to win this game.
[00:23:02] But it's actually the twisted part of that all is Drew's misunderstanding preventing Devins from studying means that Taylor could win taking Drew anyway. So it's like the one person who could potentially change their mind about who they want to take in Devins. It wouldn't even matter because in every scenario, Taylor takes Drew. Better be lucky than good.
[00:23:33] So Drew does practice his final two speech a bit. It's a little like underbaked at the moment. It's just just the seeds of it right now. It's it's incredibly long. That's how it usually works. He says, so I'm not going to go through the whole thing, but the basic points are that he's going to defend his decision to keep Devins by saying that he was trying to put himself in a position where he would be where both people would take him to the final two. He'd be guaranteed final two.
[00:24:00] He's going to say if he's up next to Devins like, hey, I didn't even need a 5k bribe or a diamond power of veto, which I think I think both of these are good points to bring up. He does say that he doesn't regret choosing Devins over D because they both have to take him. He did believe that D would take him to the final two, but he did not believe that Taylor would. But that is his explanation for why he felt like he needed to do this to force Taylor's hand in this spot.
[00:24:30] Now, there's a world where Taylor can can realistically say I wouldn't have even won the part of the final three HOH if if you had gone the other direction. But but he's going to talk about being a middleman, how he was able to use his relationship with Melody to stay good with the other side while he worked with the icons and used them as shields.
[00:24:55] Again, it's it's far too long, but, you know, he's got he's got the right points. He just hasn't quite like packaged it yet in the right way. Yeah. Yeah. And it also just shows like he has the the I guess an appropriate or a realistic view of his game. You know, he's not I remember speculating on the Thursday recap of like just that jag and energy.
[00:25:23] Well, I was speculating of, you know, just coming in there saying I did all this stuff. Whereas like, OK, if he sticks to the truth of his game, then it that could very well work for him. And so I think it one matters how much time he has to like. Yes, he has all week to prepare this. But like, what does he focus on when he consolidates? Does he focus on, you know, the parts of the game that the jury's like, OK, whatever.
[00:25:52] Or they're like, wait, yeah, you did do all of these things that you deserve to win. And here's here's another thing I'm going to say. And I think that this is this has been a big fault of Taylor's so far in this endgame is that she has been far too open with what she might say in her final two speech.
[00:26:16] And with like the events of the game in general, there have been a lot of conversations about like the events of the game. D and Devin's explaining a lot to to Drew, like what was really happening at various times, which doesn't really matter for D or Devin's as much because they're going to be or Devin's the very least is going to be true anyway.
[00:26:38] Mm hmm. So it doesn't matter how much Drew knows. But Taylor did tell Drew that Barrett was going to like Barrett and Maladie and them were going to vote Drew out over Taylor, which is not something he knew. This was on the the week where he was on the block on D's HOH against Mallory and Taylor. This is when Barrett was going, like you said, was going to flip the vote. Drew knew that they were going to flip the vote to keep him to vote out him over Mallory.
[00:27:05] They did not. He did not know that they were going to flip the vote to save Taylor over him. And so Taylor lets him know this. And by letting him know this removes one of the mines in the minefield of a final two speech. Right. Not that any of it really matters, but like where Taylor might say something like I flipped the lyric vote and confirm to everyone on the jury who's probably been primed because Devin's knew this and told D.
[00:27:33] And so D is probably going to prime them to say that she might say this and it's not true. And they're all going to see her say something that's not true in her jury speech. Drew similarly could could have said something like he his lack of knowledge of how close he was to being evicted that week might have been another sticking point for the jury to be like, oh, but now he knows to avoid that section or to like acknowledge the section. Or that he survived it like he saved his life.
[00:28:00] Yeah, I know about I know about this fault. Don't worry. I'm not ignorant to it. And she kind of handed him that. Right. So so I don't love that. And so Drew tells Devin's about this. This is why we're talking about it. He tells Devin's about how Taylor told him that Bear was going to vote him out over there over Taylor the week he was on the block against Mallory and Taylor. And he's like, I guess I really lucked into some things, huh? Yes.
[00:28:30] And that's that like he now knows that he was lucky. He now knows that he because that was the blockbuster that he basically flipped his coin between two options and managed to win. And if he hadn't, he was gone for sure. He thought he was only gone if like Mallory had won because against Taylor, he still would have stayed. That wasn't even true. Mallory, who was second place in that competition, also would have caused him to be evicted if she had won.
[00:28:59] Devin's is like, you know, it's not luck, though. You still it's not like you went into that blockbuster throwing it, you know, like you you went and you won. Like that was the thing, at which point Drew goes, well, I did also throw the veto when I was up on Haley's H.O.H. week because I wanted the noms to stay the same because I felt comfortable on the block. To which Devin says. Yeah, we we were kind of pushing hard to get rid of you.
[00:29:31] And by we, I mean, it was really D and Angela. They were really skeptical of you that week. So and really it was Angela more than D. But but then we realized like, oh, what are we doing? And we flipped the vote. So, you know, yeah, you would have been good. My God. Which that is now the second time he has talked about that. So that does feel like something that he was like he's he's stewing on if he should use that as a selling point in his final speech.
[00:29:59] He wants to talk about how he was throwing comps in the first half of the game. I but here here's again the thing. The only people I guess Barrett kind of knew Barrett did know Barrett knew that Drew was in trouble that week. So, I mean, Drew saying he threw the veto on Haley's H.O.H. I think is not good, but it's in the weeds enough that I don't think it'll matter. It might matter to Barrett, right?
[00:30:26] But I think Barrett might be a vote for Taylor over Drew if Drew doesn't. Given that Drew can't evict Devins now anyway. The real the real stick sticking point is like is Melody. And and so, you know. We this this scenario now of Taylor cutting Devins and taking Drew is very, very real. It's Drew's only win condition at this point. And we've talked about this before.
[00:30:55] I do think Drew easily gets Devins indeed. I think then he needs Melody and Angela because I think Yash would be pretty impressed with Taylor managing to win these comps and taking out Devins. And maybe boy Drew never did it. He's so spineless. I think Lala would obviously be a vote for Taylor or should be. And I think Barrett, who went out pretty upset with Drew in general, seemingly.
[00:31:26] And and who, again, like Barrett is the one who stood up and took that shot against the vets. And even though it didn't work out, he's still very proud of it. And so for Drew to not be able to even carry that torch and for Taylor to be the one to do it. Feels like he would probably lean in that direction. It's certainly what he was talking about on the feeds. But again, we can't take any of that as solid. And here is the here is the real sticking point here.
[00:31:53] Melody, who has now been in the jury house with Barrett for a few days at the very least. When she was alone in the house with Drew. It felt like this relationship is really accelerated. It's a lot better than it has been before. Obviously, Melody is a vote for Drew.
[00:32:16] But when Barrett was still in the house, she gravitated a lot more toward Barrett when it came to talking game because she was very frustrated with Drew a lot of the time. And in those conversations with Barrett, they would often talk about how they didn't want to vote for Drew to win the game. And so the fear would be that Melody goes into the jury house. Maybe she gets into an argument with Angela.
[00:32:45] And so she's even more socially sort of reliant on Barrett. She spends a lot of time with Barrett. And if Barrett is anti Drew, he's spending a few days talking with her. She's spending a few days away from Drew for the first time in 80 days. And who knows? Who knows what happened? Drew himself, I will say, mentioned it a few times. He was like, I wonder if Barrett's going to make a move on Melody in the jury house.
[00:33:17] And so, you know, that is and again, I just want to be clear because I think that people get real like emotionally invested in certain outcomes. I'm here talking every morning about like three things that happened on the feeds. We're trying to go through every possible conceivable scenario. We're not trying to forecast or predict or like manifest situations.
[00:33:43] Trying to talk about like what is the world where Melody goes in this direction? Well, maybe it's this one. Maybe this is how it gets there. If it's possible at all. Maybe it's not possible at all. But maybe it's that world, right? So like that is a concern, I think, for Drew in that spot is Melody and Barrett going in that direction. And then the other concern, of course, is Angela, who has spent a lot of time without the influence of D or Devin's.
[00:34:13] Probably her closest person being Lala and probably now fighting with Melody. Lala was anti-Drew. Melody, who may come in pro-Drew initially at the very least, could cause Angela to feel like she's on the other side of that. And D will only have the roundtable to talk to Angela other than sitting there on finale night in the chairs.
[00:34:40] And so if Angela has been pulled into the anti-Drew camp, if there is one, then D might not have enough time to fully pull her back in. Drew talks to Devin's about this. He says, because he knows that Angela is one of the key votes he might need.
[00:35:03] He says, Devin's, if you're sitting there in the jury, like if Taylor wins and she takes me and you go out to the jury. First of all, they recognize he won't have any time to talk to anybody. He's like, Devin's, I don't care. Break the rules and grab Angela and tell her she needs to vote for her. Devin's like, if I could huddle them up for a second to make sure they know.
[00:35:33] Uh, yeah, it's live. That won't happen. Um, but to your point about, uh, like the anti-Drew sentiment, I don't necessarily think Lala, Barrett, Yash, Angela, before Melody and D have arrived are anti-Drew. But I could very easily see them saying to win this game, Drew needs to get rid of Devin's. Exactly.
[00:35:59] And the fact that he had the opportunity at final four to get rid of Devin's, uh, Melody doesn't know this yet until D arrives. Right. And then that doesn't really play, uh, you know, obviously D's like it was me or Devin's and, um, D's also a good option to get out. But Devin's is, is the player that people are like, he can win this game. And they've thought that for a long time.
[00:36:28] And, and the problem is that D like, again, this is a thing I mentioned when on Thursday night that like Drew did not send D home with the, with the reasoning that he had. Uh, like D will not likely go into the jury house with what he plans to say, which is, well, now he's guaranteed. He, he did this to guarantee himself a final two spot.
[00:36:53] She's going to maybe at best go in with like, well, he didn't trust that I would take him to the end. He trusted that Devin's would take him to the end. So, which, you know, the jury might be like, Devin's is lying. You know, like, like, you know what I mean? Like Devin's could like, of course he believes daddy Devin's.
[00:37:13] And again, in this win condition, the only way to prove that Devin's was telling the truth about taking Drew to the end is if Devin's takes Drew to the end, which is where he loses. So Drew can no longer ever prove that he was willing to cut Devin's and he can no, he can also not prove that Devin's was telling the truth about taking him and that he made that he trusted correctly. Right. Um, so, uh, so that, that is also a problem.
[00:37:41] So like, yes, Drew should say these things. I guaranteed myself a final two spot. Uh, I forced Taylor to take me here, so on and so forth. But like the problem is, is that too little too late by then? Because again, I can count on one finger how many people have definitively changed their votes based on speeches in the last like 10 years.
[00:38:02] Uh, so like it's, you know, like there are scenarios where this could look a little difficult. Um, but you don't, you just, it's just so, it's so hard to know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:38:20] I mean, and, and I think in a world of Taylor versus Drew, like Taylor cuts Devin's, um, and takes Drew, then we know for sure Lala. And I think to your point earlier about, you know, Yash having respect for Taylor's game and winning these, um, comps, we have Yash. But then it's like, do we have Barrett?
[00:38:47] Does Taylor have, yeah, does Taylor just have Lala, Barrett, and Yash? And do the icons and Melody just support Drew because they've been playing with Drew? And also because they respect Drew's game more than Taylor's. Right. Um, which speaks to, again, I think her other potential fault here, uh, Taylor, uh, not other, but the potential fault that I was talking about earlier, which is that she is already told Devin's.
[00:39:16] He asked her the question, what would you claim in your final two speech? And she told him, uh, which, you know, hopefully, uh, like, again, hopefully it's just like not true that she won't claim this, but this is something she has claimed in the past to Yash. Uh, that was her move as her biggest move that she claims. She flips the lyric vote. We've talked about this a couple of times now. Um, this is largely because she was made to believe that she flipped the lyric vote. She was blamed for flipping the lyric vote.
[00:39:45] See, they wanted her to take the blame for it. Um, so, uh, so like the fact that, uh, and like, again, people in the chat, like, oh, that was that she was lying. I would hope that she was lying to Devin's, but again, she has said this to two players like Yash in the past where she had no reason to lie to Yash about her number one belief that she did it or number two that she was like, because she was basically saying like that was, that was her big move.
[00:40:13] She said this before, which gives credence to the idea that she might actually be being honest when she's talking to Devin's about how this is a move that she made. I think there's a, there's a world where she was just so, uh, taken aback by like taken off guard by the question that she just was honest. Right. But we'll see either way. Devin's told D before she left.
[00:40:36] So D now has that ammunition in the round table, knowing that she can, that she should tell everyone about the fact that Taylor will likely potentially claim this, which by the way is a, is a reason that you should falsely claim what you're going to say in the final two. If Taylor is doing that great move, right? Because now they're prepping against something that isn't there. Or actually I say great move, but even then, honestly, I'm taking, I'm, I'm walking it back.
[00:41:04] I thought for a moment it might be a great move. I actually don't think so because even if it was a lie and Taylor's actually not going to claim that in her final two speech again, the final two speech is just not valuable enough. To set yourself up like that. Like the damage I think is done. If D goes to the jury saying Taylor's saying she flipped the lyric vote, uh, and it's totally not true. People.
[00:41:34] Yeah. That you could be like, okay, well, I guess I'll see if she claims that. But like most people are already decided by the time you get there. And in this instance, Yash knows he's, he was in a conversation where she already claimed that. So he knows that it's true. Uh, so it's already done some damage if it were to do any damage. But Devins knows he's told D, D can prep the jury for it. Devins also is telling Drew because Devins wants Drew to beat Taylor.
[00:42:02] And he knows that if Taylor beats him in the final and part three, that Taylor might cut him and take Drew. And he wants Drew to win. So he says, Hey, Drew, this is what Taylor's going to claim. She's going to try to claim that she flipped the lyric vote. Uh, if I, when I have a question, my question will set her up to claim that. Um, and because everyone on the jury will know it's not true. Uh, and you and like, so he's preparing Drew for how he's going to help him from the jury.
[00:42:28] Uh, prepping him for what Taylor might say, uh, in an attempt to, again, try to, to like get there. Um, if you're planning to vote Taylor and you hear Devins asked this question last, right? About the lyric vote, which how many days ago was that, you know, does that move the needle for you? Are you now like, Oh, wait a second. Now I'm not voting Taylor.
[00:42:55] I mean, again, it just, it depends on what kind of prep work D put in ahead of time, right? Because D knew. And so if D is trying to downplay Taylor's game in order to help Drew or Devins win, she's going to say, you know, Taylor says her best move was flipping the lyric vote, which is something we did and put the blame on her for. Uh, and, um, and then if Devins asked that question and it confirms that, you know, again, most of the time, everything's already been decided. So it probably doesn't matter.
[00:43:24] Anyway, we talk about it because what else is there to talk about? Um, them rehashing the whole game together. Yeah. So there is one more thing though here. Um, Drew is talking about how he was like, this whole game is felt like survival mode the whole time. And now I got nothing to do. It feels like I finally can enjoy big brothers. Nothing left for me to do.
[00:43:53] Uh, competitions are over for Drew and Devin says, I agree. Honestly, it's the same for me because yeah, well, the only thing left is that one comp, but what can I do to prepare for it? Nothing. Nothing. Yeah. It's wild.
[00:44:21] Like it's wild. Maybe it casually comes up in a conversation with him and Taylor. Maybe. Is that possible? Yeah. Taylor could accidentally build beans to Devin's about what this competition is, which would greatly help Devin's. There is a world of difference between Devin's being studied up to this point.
[00:44:45] Uh, and Devin spending the next five days head down studying like dramatically different outcomes for this competition. Yeah. We know we saw what happened with Morgan, who was great at competitions, but didn't have, didn't spend much time studying because she was, you know, arguing with Vince for days on end. Uh, and then, you know, didn't have much sleep heading into that competition.
[00:45:14] Um, uh, and in obviously like somebody like, uh, Kevin Martin, uh, on Big Brother Canada is a great example of this as well, where it's like, uh, Kevin just head down, studied, studied, studied, was impossible to beat at these things. Um, it's one thing to generally know the answers. It's another to have really, really studying and making sure you knew as much as possible.
[00:45:35] Uh, and so, you know, it's so, we have seen so many times in the end game happened, uh, in 26 as well. When MJ just didn't know how the end game worked, which allowed Chelsea to this time intentionally lie and mislead her and to basically being like, it's so easy to beat her.
[00:45:57] Um, we've seen it like, we've seen it countless times, uh, in these spots where just like a lack of knowledge of how this end game works can really be detrimental to, uh, your performance in, in the end game. Um, and just this small little misunderstanding now could be the difference between Devin's winning this game and not winning the game. And it's not even Devin's misunderstanding.
[00:46:24] It's Drew's misunderstanding, but you still have to, you still have to say, Devin's, this is on you for not studying up better. Um, but, uh, but the, but the funny part is Asia, as you mentioned, Drew's misunderstanding here benefits him. At this point, it, it didn't before, right? He's the reason that Devin's is even here and beat him. And he probably would have won part one final three HOH on his own.
[00:46:51] If he hadn't made the decision that was partly based on the misunderstanding, but now the misunderstanding is helping him because he's unintentionally seemingly sabotaging Devin's chances of winning part three of the final three HOH, which would cause him to lose the game. His only hope is if Taylor beats him. And like I said, he is now unintentionally sabotaging Devin's via this misunderstanding. It's wild. It, it, it is truly mind blowing.
[00:47:17] Um, but I, you know, I do like Devin's has like, he's, he's been aware of what's going on in the game, but to kind of like, it's kind of like when you take a test and you walk out, you're like, okay, I don't need that information anymore. If it's like a final exam, you're like, okay, I'm, I'm going to kind of rid myself, but going into this test. Yeah, I'm done with it. But then your professor springs on you next week. Hey, we're going to revisit that information.
[00:47:44] And then it's like Devin's is walking into an open-ended question test, but thinking it's going to be multiple choice. So he may adapt, like he may be thrown off the first couple of questions like, whoa, I did not know it was this direction, but let me, let me tap into what I have been knowing is going on in this game. And that could help, but that's also banking on Taylor getting those first couple of questions wrong.
[00:48:09] I don't think he's just like, I don't think it's a done deal that he won't do well in part three, but I do think that he's going to definitely be at a disadvantage. And for what it's worth, like, I'm not actively seeing Taylor super studying or anything. It's not like Taylor is like head down while Devon's is mind in the clouds.
[00:48:29] But I, but I think the, the analogy I would make to, to sort of like add on to yours is it's, it's a little bit like Devon's took the final like quiz of the season. Yeah. And thought it was the final test. And he was like, boom, I'm done. And then a week later, the professor is like, all right, now it's time for the final exam. This is a lot more detailed.
[00:48:58] This is a lot more difficult than anything you've seen before. And Devon's was only ever prepping for the quiz. And so, yeah, he still has some knowledge, but he hasn't applied that knowledge in the direction of the kinds of questions that are asked in part three. They've made these questions more difficult over time. Devon's knows dates. He knows nominations. He knows things like that.
[00:49:23] They often ask questions about like, how many people did they, did this person beat? How many like, you know, competitions did they play prior to this? Like they apply. It's like applied knowledge. It's not just facts. You have to apply the facts into specific things. And if you know this ahead of time, you can prep yourself for it.
[00:49:46] You can start taking all of the facts and applying them to various questions so that you're used to those neural pathways of applying that knowledge in different ways. How many competitions, how many blockbusters were won by somebody that was a replacement nominee? Like, and like, you know, sometimes they've studied things like that, but they haven't had to apply it in that way.
[00:50:11] They've only ever really prepped for things like the days comps or like a before and after because those were like the old school way of doing this. So it's just, it's wild to me. This is $750,000 on the line. And there is just one small thing. I feel like, like, like some kind of like scammy influencer, like just one small trick.
[00:50:36] And you, you have a much better, you're going to win 750, this one small life hack will get you $750,000. But in this case, it's true. It's just this one little thing that they need to know. It's just so wild that they don't know it. Just comment part three and I'll DM you all the details. Oh boy. All right. Well, so that's it.
[00:51:06] I just, I'm finding this fascinating. Um, it's wild to me that one of the main things I will be looking for over the next five days is does Devins talk to Taylor enough to find out to accidentally learn that he should be studying for part three of the final three HOH. Uh, and I think that's a pretty fitting way to end this game as well.
[00:51:34] Um, so, uh, anything else that we should talk about Asia? Uh, yeah. So when, when Devins was doing the family shout out, so, you know, he did shout out or he talked to Drew's family, uh, through the feeds, but he also started speaking Spanish, which I actually thought that that was so cute. I was like, oh, he's surprised. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He was speaking to D's family. Um, and so I thought that was really sweet. He talked to Angela's family.
[00:52:03] Um, and so that was a, that was a cute moment. Um, there also was a moment later when Devins and Drew were putting up the awnings and Drew's like, you know what annoyed me? Taylor being so smug, I guess during their final three dinner. Um, but then tried to like, tried to walk it back. Like I love her confidence though, but it's just like, come on.
[00:52:32] I mean, I know we're at that point, uh, that everybody's annoyed with everybody. You've spent 80 days in the house, but this is just another thing on top of like, you know, just like the, the dislike for each other, for one, Drew and Taylor don't like each other. Um, but I think it's just, it's always, it always, it's always just so out of nowhere. And like Taylor, what, what, what's wrong with Taylor being confident with making the final three? Like what's wrong with her saying?
[00:53:01] I knew I'd be here, even though she was nominated five times. She didn't mean it in like a, Oh, I knew walking in this house. I'm definitely final three. It's in a, Hey, I want to manifest something for myself. I believe in myself that I can make it to the end. And that's what it felt more like. Well, especially cause they do have like a lot of moments, especially toward the end here where they like, they have like very sweet moments together. Uh, and they had one, uh, yesterday as well, where like, they're talking about, they're like talking each other up and they're talking about like respecting each other and liking each other a lot.
[00:53:29] Uh, so then, yeah, then, then you get these, these comments that you feel like, what, really? Like progress for what? I thought y'all are going to be friends outside of this house. I thought that's what you say. That's what you say, but it's one thing to get out of the house and then see everything that is said. And that can shape a lot of relationships throughout everybody in the house. Um, but that was just like a, so, so unnecessary. Um, but, uh, it was there.
[00:54:00] Yeah. Like you said, they, Taylor and Drew did talk for quite some time towards the end of the night. And I just wonder, are these, all of these talks of unpacking the game and moves that are made, just, are they going to have any impact on, on, on what happens on Thursday? I, in terms of the choice or like the speeches? In terms of the choice and the speeches, because I know that they feel like, oh, it's a done deal. Like we, we've made it.
[00:54:27] So now we can admit to everything that has happened or admit to things that we think that we did that affected the game. Um, but it seems like, is anyone going to say too much? Like, is, is Drew going to say too much where both Taylor and Devin's realized that Drew can get more votes than they're accounting for? Uh, or is Taylor going to say too much to where Drew can just own everything that Taylor is going to say? Right.
[00:54:52] I mean, I, I think in terms of speeches, I think that, that, that they have already impacted quite a bit in terms of the choice of who to take. I don't think so. I think that, um, I think that more likely whatever Devin's plans to do with making a deal with Taylor, like an active campaign, you should take me over Drew.
[00:55:11] Uh, and, and I guess to your point, Drew talking through all of what he's done and how he plans to potentially beat Taylor in a final two is all ammunition that Devin's can use with Taylor of like, well, you know, here's what, here's how Drew is going to make a great case against you. And here's how, you know, if you are sitting against Drew, every single one of the icons is voting for Drew. We, we were in the crossovers, all of this stuff. Um, Devin's has a decent case to make.
[00:55:40] We've talked about it before. There is a case to be made that Taylor could have a better chance against Devin's than Drew. Um, just because she might be able to get all of the, um, all of the new players. Anti-icons. The anti-icon stuff. Um, so, uh, so Devin's can use that lever, right? He can be like, listen, against Drew, all of the icons are voting Drew and you know Melody's voting Drew. You cannot win.
[00:56:08] Against me, you might be able to tap into the anti-icon sentiment of the, of the jury and, uh, and get those four votes. Uh, I will have Drew, uh, Dee and Angela, but you could have, you could have Melody against me. You can't have Melody against Drew. Um, and that's like, again, it's probably not true, but there's something there.
[00:56:38] Like it's, it is an argument. Uh, and that combined with Devin's promising Taylor, he will take her to final two. Um, and you know, making some kind of actual deal. There is a world where Devin's is able to talk Taylor into, into bringing him. Uh, she is right now saying no chance. Yeah. I know if I sit next to an icon, I lose.
[00:57:04] Um, but again, we're trying to talk through every scenario here, given that he plans to potentially make this pitch, make this deal. He does have some outs and you know, he's got a lot of time to, to make those pitches. So, yeah. Yeah. Devin's would just have, if he does try this with Taylor, he just has to pitch it in a way of like, look, I don't have a hidden agenda. I'm not trying to persuade you one way or another. Just thought you should know this because otherwise Taylor's just not going to believe it.
[00:57:33] And she's not going to buy what he's selling. Uh, she has to have an incentive to believe like, okay, what he just told me could work for me. Uh, but she'd be like, why is he telling me this? Of course. So that she, if she wins, he could take, she could take him to final two. Um, but yeah, you just, I don't know. I feel like Devin's could figure out a way to finesse it. Um, so it'd be, it'd be interesting to see how that happens.
[00:57:55] Honestly, if Devin's did manage to convince Taylor to bring him to final two, I would feel a lot better about Devin's as a winner. Cause listen, listen, he got drew to keep him to final three, which I think was at least like a big crowning achievement. Um, but, uh, you know, between the advantages and the comp wins, it was like, ah man, like that's not my favorite way to watch somebody win this game.
[00:58:20] But if he manages to convince true to bring him to final three and then Taylor to bring him to final two, uh, then I would be like, okay, all right. Hands up. You know, like that was good. That was really good. But now we're just fully inventing fan fiction. Right. Exactly. All right. That is what we have for you. Then today, I will of course be back tomorrow at noon Eastern noon Eastern tomorrow to talk through, uh, what happens today on the big brother 28 live feed.
[00:58:50] Including a potential pitch from Devin's to Taylor. Um, so we'll see if Devin's is able to make any progress on Taylor and in reverse, will Devin's realize, uh, that he needs to actually be studying for part three. Those are the two major things. And they all involve Devin's and Taylor drew doesn't have a whole lot to do here, uh, at the moment, at least. Um, and, uh, and then tomorrow nights, there is the penultimate episode of big brother 28.
[00:59:18] Uh, I'm not entirely sure what it is, but it's probably the recap of the recap of the, uh, recap and the, was the beginning of part one of the final three, which I would assume, uh, I will be live on Twitch, YouTube and Patreon streaming for that. I streamed the, uh, traders new blood episodes three and four yesterday on Patreon. Uh, we interrupted in the middle to watch the live feeds when they came back for, uh, from part two.
[00:59:46] Um, and, uh, and then Monday we'll have our final round table. Thursday will be the finale. Uh, so make sure you're checking out, uh, my Patreon.
