[00:00:39] [SPEAKER_03] Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for September 19.
[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_03] I'm your host Jaren Armstrong and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 74 in the house and we finally got confirmation why is this why is this is completely the wrong background. I mean I saw that backstage and I was like I did not notice. I was like do what you do.
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_03] Hold on give me a moment here. This is this is the background we should be using. We finally got confirmation of the HOH here on day 74 and we also got nominations to talk about lots of deliberation and debate over what the nominations should be.
[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_03] And we have set a target for the week as well. And with me to talk through it all is Jacob. How you doing Jacob?
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00] I'm doing good. I've never joined you on a Saturday before so this feels very homey comfortable. And even though yesterday in the Big Brother house wasn't that action full. I mean we're in the final five. I still like certain things that happened throughout the day and it certain things made me think larger and bigger about other things. So I'm excited to talk about it with you.
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_03] All right. Well, we will talk through it all. Now. I'm realizing I didn't make my graphics are a little off today. Unfortunately, but that's fine. We talked yesterday about how they played in tiny HOH after the double eviction where Barrett and Yash were evicted.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_03] And we eventually we we suspected that Devins was the HOH based on number one his performance and number two. The fact that the camera was zooming in on his photo on the memory wall. They were also zooming in on him sleeping as an indication that he was the HOH and that was in fact true. Devins won the tiny HOH.
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_03] And therefore is our final five HOH. We'd already did a lot of analysis on sort of like what he might do and you know what might happen with this HOH. I very quickly he talks to D in the morning after they get up. They immediately discuss how obviously drew will need to go up on the block to prevent him from forcing D on the block by winning and using the veto.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03] This is, you know, basically how the final five works. If the person if one of the people not on the block wins the veto uses it on one of the two nominees, it forces the only other person on the block. So Devins has to choose carefully which of the other players, which of drew melody or Taylor he wants to leave off the block. Drew is going to promise that he's not going to use the veto, but he's also the most likely to win the veto.
[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_03] Taylor on the other hand is the least likely to win the veto the least likely to be put in that position and may also promise that she won't use it. And so, you know, they have a little bit of a debate there. Now the other thing here is that Devins is target is melody, not drew specifically melody.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03] He wants melody gone because that essentially takes a one of the duos out leaves drew who's promising to take him to the final two, you know, claiming loyalty and D who had the night before talked about wanting to take melody to the end is telling Devins in this conversation that she does love melody. But if Devins wants Devin's once are gone, she will take melody out.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_00] I think they're making the right decision, especially with how drew was just advocating for himself yesterday and advocating to not be on the block yesterday. I think they are seeing it wisely as we've gotten deeper into the game. I've really been a fan of Devins and D and I used to like I remember when they first came on, I said like, oh, they're not icons. What they're doing is pretty iconic how they're able to like weave their way through the game is pretty iconic to me.
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00] And so I think that they they they have a great unit with regarding themselves. We know D does not ever want to be sitting on the block. I remember last time drew was a joke and joking and she said, nope, we're not doing that. And so it just shows her proactivity and just making sure that she's never sitting there on either tonight, which I'm a fan of.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_03] Yes, I agree. I think that making sure drew is on the block is is a must for them this week. They cannot risk drew winning the veto using it forcing D on the block. And then voting D out with melody. That would be a completely disastrous outcome. He would be gone. Devins can't win the final four. H.O.H.
[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_03] It would be Devins versus drew melody and Taylor in the veto competition. Really Devins versus drew very likely. And that would be potentially disastrous. Like there's no world where drew ever should not use the veto if he won it. Like it's such a no brainer decision for drew that no matter how much he promises one way or another, you cannot allow him to be in that position.
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, now if Taylor is off the block and wins the veto, she also kind of should just make the move. Probably. Um, I say probably though, because there is, you know, there's plenty of value in, uh, in drew leaving for Taylor, but if they're planning to target melody, then she should just use it anyway. Because, uh, you know, I mean, I guess it's actually not that hold on.
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_03] I'm, I'm recanting this. I actually think that it's valuable for Taylor. If melody leaves, because if drew is willing to take Taylor to the final two thinking he can beat her, it's not necessarily true that that's the case. Uh, though it could be close. Um, so, uh, but I'd still rather be sitting next to melody, I think.
[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00] And are we too strongly believe that drew would actually do that? That he would use the veto. Oh, that he would want to go to the final two with Taylor.
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_03] With Taylor. Uh, I think he, I think his preference right now is melody first. I think he would certainly choose devins over D. But if given the choice, let's say it's drew devins and Taylor in the final three, he wins the final three. HOH. I think he might take devins. I do too. Like he's talked a lot about like how he doesn't want Taylor to get second place.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03] Like, I just feel like, I feel like he, I feel like he would take devins.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_00] I really do. Yeah. I have ye little faith that he would actually want to take Taylor. And if, if in a position to take Taylor, he would actively choose to do that. He loves daddy devins. And so it's that kinship. It's that, okay, maybe he has this mentality of going to the best and beating the best, but I don't know how, but to be honest, Aaron, this may be so illogical of me. Just how drew is playing. If drew does get to that final two chairs, I would really like to hear his argument.
[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_00] We've seen him do a lot of things that people have seen has been way to sucker up to the icon, but then he will be at the final two and he's in the final five when I never even really saw him. I thought his game was too messy too early on to be sitting in position like this. And it's due to comp wins is due to his way of like cowering to the icons. But is it really cowering to the icons if he's in this position that I never really thought that drew could be in, in this game?
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_00] I don't know.
[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I mean, it's the annoying part is that like their final pitches are just not really that impactful at the end of the day, unfortunately. Uh, but you know, it, I think that, um, I think that he would try, like, I think that he's playing up intentionally just how much of a vet pet he is. And that if he were to go to the final two, he would try to reverse that narrative as much as possible.
[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_03] It's just like, by then it's, it's so likely to be too little, too late. Um, and quite frankly, you know, what he needs to do is send melody into the jury with the knowledge. Like he would need to, I think if he wants any chance of, if melody leaves and he wants any chance of winning, number one, he needs to sit next to Taylor. Uh, and number two, he needs to tell melody on her way out the door, Hey, tell the jury, don't worry. I'm going to beat them.
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_03] I'm going to take Taylor to the end or something along those lines. Like he needs to show intention of taking Taylor to the end. Um, but man, if melody leaves in general, his chances of winning have just, just plummeted so dramatically that it's, uh, it's not looking good regardless.
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_00] And I don't have faith that they really are going to take melody's words seriously. Okay. Melody told us this we've seen in their exit interviews, the one word associations or the first things that come to mind. Oh, floater. Oh, nothing burger. Oh, melody who. And so melody come in the jury house advocating for a person that they do not like Lala and Yash from a game point is kind of like, okay, girl, we wasn't even voting. We were not voting for him and we're not thinking about it now.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_00] I just don't know how impactful her impact statement would be on the jury. Sure.
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_03] But it's better than nothing. I think that he needs somebody on the jury. And I think that specifically melody can influence Barrett if Matt, cause Barrett and melody have talked shit on drew all season or at least the last like month. Uh, so if melody came in convinced that drew actually was playing well, all of a sudden, I think it would convince Barrett and Barrett could be a decent advocate for him as well. And even just getting Barrett's vote would be huge.
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, so, um, you know, he needs, he needs to get something here.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_00] Have you, um, sorry, I have one more question. Have you talked about, and maybe you don't see Barrett being a bitter jury, a bitter juror. Um, but have you talked about since you did not even give Barrett a vote who I would have saw at some points in this game as being his closest ally, especially against Taylor. And I know that would have thrown off his positions, um, in a lot of different ways, but he actively just, I mean, I guess. Oh wait, Barrett was on the block. So Barrett didn't even vote. Nevermind.
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_00] Nevermind. He didn't even vote. I thought, Oh, drew voted against Barrett though. Yes. Do you think Barrett would hold that against him?
[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_03] I don't think he holds that against him. I think he holds not voting for Mallory against him more. I would imagine. Okay. Okay. Okay. He probably does. I mean, it's one of many things on his, on his list. Yeah.
[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_00] That's what I'm thinking. Like you couldn't even support your guy that I didn't put you up. You see, you still cowering under the icon. So just that rhetoric with Drew, I think that's his biggest thing to beat. And if he can beat it, I really imagine that you see his inherent story.
[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_03] To be fair though, I think to Drew's credit. But if, if D and Devin's evict melody overdrew, like that, that alone could, he could argue is like the value of having played that up the whole season. Right? Like, because that's a wild choice. Yeah. That's right. Evicting melody overdrew.
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_03] And I want to talk about this because obviously for D it's a terrible mistake. I mean, D should never allow this to happen. She's telling Devin's she will. We'll talk about whether she's confirming that to the cameras and whether we think she will actually follow through. But D should never, in my opinion, in a million years, keep Drew under any circumstances, especially over melody.
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_03] Because as we talked about yesterday, like that final three with melody and Devin's is probably her best bet. And Devin's is the one that she should think about cutting from that list, not melody. And melody is absolutely the best person to sit next to in the final two for her, if possible. Melody also, one of the few people that would be potentially willing to take her to the final two. We're going to hear from Devin's about his willingness to take D to the final two.
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03] And it sounds like not even he, he will take her if he has the option. So she won't even have a chance to lose to him in the final two in that event. So just never, never, never should she ever get rid of melody, especially over drew drew is the first person she should want out this week. Um, and there's an argument to make that Devin's shouldn't want drew to stay, to stay either.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, that like, if drew's gone, Devin's or D are almost guaranteed to win the final four veto. Uh, the final four veto has historically always been like a pretty physical competition. Last season was maybe one of the least physical, and it was still like this massive giant puzzle physically, uh, thing. Um, you know, and the final four HOH was incredibly physical, the dice rolling.
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_03] Um, so like without drew there, Devin's and D probably just sweep those comps. Uh, and they're both guaranteed final three with drew there. He could win it. And if D is available, he could evict D and if D is not available and it's Devin's versus Taylor again, you know, do you want to trust drew to evict Taylor over Devin's at the final four?
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_03] If he wins that final four veto. And it's just like, Hmm.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah.
[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_03] And I know that melody melody, depending on the competition, melody might have a chance, depending on the competition, Taylor might have a chance, but I think we can all agree that like, given the history of final four vetoes, especially in recent years, drew is so much more likely to win in general, like by a pretty big margin. Uh, and putting your life in his hands here when you could probably guarantee or close to guarantee that you're putting your life in your own hands.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, it just feels real. I would much prefer giving myself much better odds to win the final four veto than trust that drew is dumb enough to actually evict Taylor over me or D.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00] I know. Yeah. And that does give me something else to think about because D really should be coming. I mean, even if the nominees do stay melody and drew, we should have serious consideration. And even if you have to go behind Devin's back, but I just think her is her allegiance to Devin's just so like we're locked in that I can't portray him even in a simple vote like this. That's why I don't think it's high, but I think the smart move is to get rid of drew, especially if him and melody are sitting right there.
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_00] Cause you have the shot, you have all these girls willing to choose you over Devin's and you have Devin's more so wanting to protect you. Cause he knows he's a sitting duck at some point. And so fingers crossed people come to logical senses, but they typically do though, as we've seen the vote shift.
[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_03] This is what I want to talk about. Yeah. Well, this is what I want to talk about. Cause we'll, we'll get through the events of the day. I, but like what I want you to keep in mind is that this, this twist, this curse is that the eviction takes place in three days. So, you know, theoretically that is tomorrow. Uh, they have significantly less time than they normally do to process and change their minds. You know, this time last week, they weren't planning to take out Yash.
[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_03] A few days later, they came to their senses. They might not have time to come to their senses if this is the plan. So let's, let's talk this through. Drew talks to Devin's and D and, uh, and we can spend so much time analyzing because quite frankly, there's not a lot to talk through unless we really want to go deep on the level of, uh, how much drew was begging to not stay or to not go up on the block, which we certainly
[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_03] can, uh, because it was giving Vince, uh, which was very fun. Um, and, uh, and so drew is immediately just like, don't, don't put me up on the block. Right. Like that's, and here's, here's the thing, because I'll, I'll tell you upfront, he spends hours, like genuinely hours doing this. Like he will not let go and he keeps pushing.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_03] And, and I like that he's doing this, uh, because number one, he's doing it with good logic. He actually has the better argument for why he should stay off the block because basically what he's saying is, okay, the reason to keep me off the block is because you're worried that I'm going to win the veto and use the veto and then take out D if you trust me, then
[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_03] you don't need me on the block because I won't do that. If you trust me, keep putting me on the block. Isn't just a safeguard. It's actually a significant risk because if you put me on the block and Taylor wins the veto, she's using the veto on melody. And if she uses the veto on melody, now all of a sudden I'm on the block next to D and that's terrible, right? Like I probably get voted out there.
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03] Now he's saying I probably get voted out there. I think this is his probably biggest mistake in the argument. I think he's he, cause he's saying Taylor will vote me out. Melody will vote D out. And then Devin's you'll probably break the tie to evict me. And I don't want to go home. And I think he should probably be saying Taylor will use the veto on melody. It will be me versus D and Taylor and melody will probably vote D out. Like that's what I'm hearing.
[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_03] Like, uh, like put the fear into D that, that, that she's in danger either way. And that he can trust that she can trust him more than she can trust Taylor to not use the veto. Either way though, his argument is sound. If you trust me, leave me off the block. Because even if I like, even if I were to win it, even whatever, like you can trust me to not evict D. You can't trust Taylor.
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_03] Like there's, we can always guarantee as long as you trust me that neither, none of the three of us leave. If I'm off the block, but if Taylor is off the block, she can use the veto on melody and guarantee that one of us go home regardless. Um, so, uh, the chat saying, no, Taylor would vote out you. My point is he should be arguing that Taylor could vote out D so that D fears it doesn't matter what she actually will do.
[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_03] Say that, Hey D, Taylor could vote you out as well. Like Taylor is just as likely to have you leave as I would be. The difference is you trust me more. So that's the argument. And the truth is they don't trust him enough to, to keep him off the block, but they don't want to tell him that. So his argument is, is good to push on as long as they continue to act like they trust him.
[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and so he does, he really just continues to push. Uh, and they're like, yeah, but you know, like it just feel more. And, and, and D is trying to act like bad cop and, and Devin's is kind of like, you guys, you guys just figure it out. You know? Um, and he keeps, Drew keeps pushing. He's like, Devin's Devin's, please. I'll give you my mom's letter. I'll give you my mom's letter.
[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_03] I'll give you my, uh, my, like my, my, whatever, like I'll give you anything. I'll give you my word. Uh, I'll get like, leave you things as hostages. Uh, dude, just do me a favor. Come on. I just kept D like, what more can I do to prove to you guys that I'm with you? Like, why would you do this to me? Like, and Devin's like, God, it's true. Like, ah, just you two figure it out amongst yourselves, you know?
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and he's like, I've talked to D and she's like, you know, she's not going to budge. She's like, yeah, I know. And he's, uh, and, and Devin's is trying to act like he would go either way. But, uh, but Drew is like, what, you're just, you're just going to do what D tells you to do. Like, you know, I'm taking you to the end, right? Like I'm taking you, I'm better for you.
[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and, uh, and Devin's is, you know, at the end of the day, like in the face of that much pressure, you, there's not much you can do other than just kind of like continue to deflect and just be like, ah, sorry.
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_00] As much as it was whiny, it was also very proactive and productive for Drew's placement in the game. He's advocating for himself. And it's something that I always champion. Um, and he used the logic a little bit. And I was going to say, um, the reason that he probably didn't even bring up that Taylor would too, because it's kind of like rewriting history. But I do agree with you that he definitely should. But, but it's kind of like, how can I, I know this doesn't logically probably make sense to D.
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, it could in another round, but right now it probably doesn't because she knows how much Taylor does not like me. Um, so it doesn't even make sense. So if I try to push this, is this doing team too much, but I still think you should have. Um, and I also, I think, go ahead.
[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_03] I think the main thing for him is that he genuinely believes that like, he thinks he's fighting for his life right now. I think he, I think it's two parts. One is that if he stays off the block, he has a much better chance of saving melody. I think he would use the veto. I think he would use it on melody. And then he would probably vote out Taylor or something. Uh, like, like, I think that's probably what he's thinking in his mind in that moment. Maybe he would actually vote out team. But I think the point is that by staying off the block, he can save, he can save melody, which is very important for his game.
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and then number two, I think he genuinely fears that Taylor winning the veto means he leaves, he goes home. Uh, and so he's also fighting for his own life here. And that's why it's so important to him that he, that he fights so hard.
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_00] See, Taryn, I never even process that drew would actually use the veto on melody. I get how that is best for his game, but I just never thought that he would actually do it. So I've only been thinking of him not being on the block, keeping the nominees the same. And they just, I guess he'll have to be convinced to get rid of melody. Cause you know, that's who Devin wants to be.
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_03] By not using it on her, he's willingly allowing her to leave when he could instead guarantee that Taylor, like. Yeah. If he's choosing between melody and Taylor, he's obviously going to evict Taylor. If he's choosing between melody and D that's maybe harder, but he doesn't have to necessarily make that choice. Uh, because he can use it on melody and evict Taylor if he wants. Like it doesn't even have to be a full betrayal of D it can just be like, come on guys. What'd you expect me to do? Of course I'm going to keep melody around.
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, you know, like he even said at one point, like, even if I did win and give veto and used it, I still wouldn't evict you D. Um, so I do think he would have saved her. And that obviously is the movie has to make like, and I, I get like, like I said, I don't even trust true to not take Devin's to the final two, uh, in certain spots. But I do think that like this latest, like quote unquote evidence of Drew being a vet pet by evicting Yash over D.
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_03] I still don't think he would have evicted Taylor over D in that spot, in that moment. Like, uh, I, I think that it was because it was Yash. It was because he was such a comp threat, uh, primarily that that happened. Um, but I, you know, I could be wrong about that. You know, Drew's kind of all over the place, but like, you know, he is somebody who still wants to win this game.
[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_03] You know, like he's still, uh, I think he genuinely doesn't think he has much of a chance, which is maybe why he's willing to take Devin's to the end. But, uh, but I, I don't think he's like that much of a pushover that he would, he would like actually just like sit there with the veto in his pocket and let melody go home knowing that he only might have a chance of beating melody in the final two. Yeah.
[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_00] You're, you're right. Drew has really become a star on this show, which you don't really hear that often, but like he, he pushes a lot of the storyline and is in very integral parts in a lot of the conflict and resolution and power shifts and vet pet isms. Um, dang. I will, I mean, to be honest, Taryn, even though I don't, I don't, I've never gotten, um, the drew lore. I do think his gameplay is very fascinating.
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_00] And I do think his relationships with the people in this game is very, it's a fascinating one. We're seeing him have to grovel at some point. We're seeing him beg and plead, um, just for people to view him as a notable Alliance member in certain cases. Um, but he is not to compare him to a cockroach, but to compare him in the cockroach of how they say they can't like be destroyed. And I've been waiting for things to be thrown at drew for drew to be taken out of this game.
[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_00] And they have not been, and he's found himself here. And I'm kind of just like, damn boy, are you, I don't think they go and let you get a win, but could you get a win?
[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, I do genuinely think that he needs to be sitting next to melody. And quite frankly, even then, I think it's looking not amazing for him. I definitely don't think he can sit next to a vet and when, and I, and he knows this, he's saying this all the time.
[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_03] Like the, again, this is, this would be Vince levels of terrible jury management to constantly say to people, I know I lose against the vets because people see me as a vet pet and then willingly not evict them when he has the chance to, uh, and go to the end with them. So like, you know, maybe he is that player.
[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, it's the, the, the only reason I think there's a chance he's not is because I do remember the time when he was talking about turning on them with Barrett and then, you know, and then Barrett just did it without him.
[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, I know. But then get along, get along for the ride is what I'm saying. If you, if you even talked about a flirt with the idea and it happens, get along with it. We've seen him being go back to them and, and, and really want to be under their cub lion ship. Like he's like their cub and drew every time he wants to sleep, he goes and puts his face next to the lion. And then the dad gets irritated by the fact he's like, dad, no, I want to be like you. And it's, uh, it's fascinating to me though.
[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_00] Drew is a fascinating character on here and we've seen him now. He's really leaning into the, um, I don't say this word with all the heaviness, but the, like being a dick a little bit more, you know what I mean? He's kind of lean into that side a little bit more than at the beginning. And I don't know. It's again, it's fascinating.
[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Um, so we'll see. And obviously like him pushing so hard and like trying to like make the case a case that he has good logic for, uh, and just continually being stonewalled by, by Devin's all day could be another factor in, uh, in what he ultimately decides to do moving forward.
[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_03] And that's another angle of this, like keeping drew after a whole day of telling him, sorry, you're going on the block because we just don't trust you enough is, is adding to that level of like, is it even the right move to keep him then? Uh, at least in my opinion. But, uh, in the meantime, Taylor talks to D briefly. Uh, Taylor tells D that her and Yash were planning to vote drew out in the double eviction.
[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_03] Had they managed to convince Malady to put drew on the block? Of course, Taylor's going to say this to D whether it's true or not is another question. Uh, obviously we're inclined to believe it's true. This could be just the confirmation that we needed to hear. Um, we'll hopefully get a little more clarification on it in Sunday's episode, but either way. Um, details Devin's listen, I get that this is tough. It's fine.
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_03] If you need to blame me for the nominations, like, uh, say I'm the bad guy here that I'm going to be so mad, uh, so on and so forth. Um, and, and, and this is another reason why I actually do like the way that drew managed to, to work this today on the feeds yesterday. Uh, there is a, there is a fine line.
[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03] There's a, there's a, there's a, there's a point where you push too far and you do convince them that you've been burned anyway, and maybe they need to evict you anyway. And maybe he has crossed that line. They haven't just, they, I just haven't figured it out yet, but the way that he was kind of just pathetic enough in the begging with a logical enough argument that was still team oriented.
[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_03] Um, the, the ultimate conclusion of it, I think was largely that like now D feels like Devin's is doing her a huge solid by putting up with all of Drew's begging. And she feels even less inclined to screw him over on his HOH by then turning around and taking out Drew. Um, and, um, and Devin's himself is like, I believe that like Drew's so earnest in this. I believe he's telling me the truth. And now I feel bad that I'm nominating him.
[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_03] I couldn't then also evict him, uh, after like, like doing this to him. And so he has seemingly put Devin's and D in a position where yes, he's still being nominated, but they are both still locked into keeping him at the moment. Uh, now at the moment is key here, especially because what happens in this veto competition, uh, like does Drew come in a close second place?
[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_03] And they realize, wait a minute, what are we doing? Melody just was terrible in that competition just because she won a couple back to back. Doesn't mean that we should be keeping Drew or keeping, uh, yeah. Keeping Drew over like, um, you know, there's still some time to change their minds, but again, not, not nearly as much, uh, as there normally is. So I still like this and he still does not let this go.
[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, I just saved her life. Can you do me a favor, please? Can you do me a favor and just allow myself to prove myself again? Like, look at my jury votes. I don't even have Taylor. I don't have Yash. I don't have Lala. I won't have melodies if I don't win the veto. And if I win the veto and I don't use it on her, uh, and Devin's like, yeah, my God, Drew, Drew. Oh, I'm just, man, I'm just, I'm just waiting to, until one of you just says it's fine. And he says, I'm not going to do that. He's like, oh, I know.
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_03] I'm just, and Drew's like, I'm not even saying put D up. I'm saying, don't put both of us up. And he's like, oh, you guys are going to drive me crazy. You guys are killing me.
[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_00] Dog, you see the position I'm in here, Drew. It is a very, like, you just, you have the power to not put either of us up and D is promoting putting me up. Like, it is just very interesting, but also make the room uncomfortable. Like when you don't want something to happen in the big brother house, D isn't afraid to do that. Devin's isn't afraid to do that. And Drew being so persistent with this approach is showing me that he isn't afraid to do that. Um, which I appreciate it.
[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. So Drew just keeps going and keeps going. And he, yeah, one of his main lines is I'll give you my mom. He's literally like, I'm going to, I'm going to stick my mom's letter up here and leave it. And he's like, no, I'm not going to let you do that. Um, and, uh, and he keeps talking about like, I'm not even, I'm pitching that we don't put both of us up. Uh, of course, none of it's going to work. Uh, melody ends up interrupting the conversation that where he's pitching.
[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_03] Melody pitches the final four that they talked about that she talked about with D. Um, Devin's talks to Taylor and gets her to promise that she won't use the veto. If she wins, she does make that promise. Um, and then back to Devin's D and drew, um, and Devin's like Taylor promised she won't use the veto. Well, she's going to lie. Of course, she's going to lie about it. Um, come on, do me a favor. Do me a favor. Come on. Don't do this to me.
[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, and I'm telling you, it lasts forever. Uh, and then D leaves and it's like, you're just doing what D wants you to do. You're closer to her, aren't you? And he's like, come on, man, you're killing me, Drew. Um, and, and this is where of course D says to the cameras, she would prefer for melody to stay, but she can't screw Devin's over like that. Cause again, she's been, she's been dealing with this all day and Devin's putting up with Drew's stuff all day.
[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_03] And he's holding the line for her. And it makes her feel like she can't go against what Devin's wants by taking out Drew. She's telling the cameras, this she'll have to keep drew this week, even though that's worse for her. And I will say again, I think this is a game losing mistake for D. Uh, I, I think, I mean, it's not guaranteed, but I think that if she follows through with this, as she's telling the cameras, she will, I think it's game losing.
[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_03] I think that if this were a full week, I would have full confidence that she would not follow through with it. I think I would have full confidence that she would eventually change her mind. She would eventually talk Devin's out of this. And she would be like, I'm sorry, Devin's, we have to evict Drew. But the fact that it's an early eviction, she might not have enough time to process it and realize what a mistake it is. Uh, and, and, and make that, you know, change. And this, this could be like, this could be it.
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, I really think it could be. Uh, so we will see.
[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_00] And you're saying she needs to evict Drew. I think she needs to evict Drew. I mean, and Taryn now, I mean, I get, we've seen Dee get more days and then she comes to the realization of things, but now she's back on her own territory with Survivor, three day turnaround time. And maybe it's not even in a day sense. It's more in a, when it gets closer to the point, that's when my brain really gets turned on. So three days could be seven days could be Dee's resolution and, um, mind friendship. So I'm here for it.
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_00] And I think I would like to see it. Actually, I would like to see Drew out the house, even though I think he's interesting. I would like to, I just, for what he did to Yash, I'm a Yash rooter.
[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_03] So, well, uh, Drew eventually does give in and, uh, and then, you know, this is of course the, the right call again. I really think Drew did like exactly the right thing here. And, and again, maybe it backfires by tomorrow, but, uh, but I think that he made a really good effort in pushing.
[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_03] And even though it wasn't going to, uh, you know, ultimately going to work, uh, here, uh, even having done it, he, he pushed a lot of social capital, uh, around the table into a place where D is doing something that is very suboptimal for him. And even Devin's is potentially doing something that's suboptimal for him. Um, and if it holds for just one more day, he might be able to squeeze by in a spot where you really shouldn't.
[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and, uh, and, and that, you know, that would be, that would be good. That would be good stuff from him, I think. But we'll see.
[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_00] That'll be good for his resume too, because what you said earlier in it, I really just got it when you were just talking. That. This could be used as a reason to keep the connection alive. He got to final four based off of his allegiance to the icons, um, as much as a vet pet. Was that term coined inside of the house or outside of the house? Vet pet.
[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_03] I honestly don't. I, I use it all the time. I, I don't even know that they've said it. Okay.
[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_00] I'm just thinking y'all Taylor would have said it. Um, but vet pet is so good for Drew. I mean, he's a vet pet. And so if this could be used as an actual receipt of all of his buy-ins, the vet pet membership, it would be, it would be clutch.
[00:38:21] Hmm.
[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_03] So he gives in, um, and the giving it is important too. It was obviously not going to happen, but he pushed a lot in the, in eventually says, okay, I'll do it. I trust you guys. Um, and, uh, and so he, uh, he will be accepting his place on the block. Uh, the only other thing that happens before the nominations is that melody tells Taylor that drew had a deal with Yash because drew has now told, uh, he and melody about it.
[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_03] Um, and, uh, and Taylor was like, I don't believe that drew didn't make a deal with Yash at the veto. Um, and then the feeds cut for the nominations where of course devins puts drew and melody on the block. Uh, and there they are. Uh, devins talks to the cameras afterward.
[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_03] He says something interesting, which is that he knows he beats probably everyone in this game in the final two, except for D. Uh, he worries that against D, you know, you got Angela, you got Lala, you got, uh, you got maybe melody. Um, and it's a bit risky.
[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_03] Um, which is interesting because melody is going to later talk about the bribe and how she thinks it was a genius move and how she thinks it was probably devins his idea. Um, which D plans to allow devins to claim as long as she's not sitting in the final two with him.
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_03] And so Devin says, the last thing he wants to do is turn on D and yet she's the person most likely to beat him in the final two. And yet he needs her to get to the final two. So the only opportunity he'd even have to evict her would be final four. If she doesn't win the HOH and he wins the veto or final three, if he chooses not to take her to the end.
[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_03] And basically this is his way of saying, I don't, I might not even have a shot at her and I'm okay with, I can live with it if I miss my shot because, you know, they've worked so closely together. And, you know, what can, what can he even do about it? If he doesn't even have the shot, if he does have the shot, I do think he'll hesitate. I think at final four, he'll be skeptical.
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, at final three, I do think he takes, I do think, I don't think he takes D. I think that if he wins the final three HOH, I think he cuts D and he takes somebody else. Uh, depending on who it is, he might be a little reluctant to take Drew, uh, just worried about like maybe, you know, Drew's game. Um, but, uh, but I do think he cuts D, but he's also okay if he ends up in the final two with D.
[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_03] But the other key to this is that he's now assuming that D will take him, which we know she won't. Uh, so D and Devin's both planning to cut each other in the final three. Um, and you know, this is just even more reason why D absolutely needs Drew to go. Like, uh, because Drew will also cut her and Drew's also one of the more likely people to win these physical final comps.
[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, and so it's like, it's, it's very dangerous stuff here.
[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_00] Devins and D are kind of the Kings and Queens of like this season. I mean, if they do make it to it very much. So like they stuck by each other and they're now making it to the end. And it's kind of like the King and Queen of the big brother 28 castle, uh, which is very impressive to see. Um, I would like Devins to obviously cut D just for the theatrics and because of the self positioning that I think it allows him to have. Um, but I also would like both of them to be at the final two talking their shit to each other.
[00:42:22] [SPEAKER_00] So I like it. I like it in both scenarios.
[00:42:25] Mm-hmm.
[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_03] So, uh, Devins indeed do talk. Uh, he checks to make sure she's still good taking out Maladie. She says she is. Um, and then the rest of the night is, is mostly just not, it's not really game talk anymore. Nominations have been settled. The plan is settled. It's just a matter of who wins the veto at this point. Um, so, uh, they talk about like Survivor. They talk about the challenge. They talk about all kinds of things.
[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, Melody and Drew spend the night hanging out being Melody and Drew talking about their ship name. They're sorry, their Alliance name. Um, and, uh, and Melody does tell Drew that if D had won the veto in the double eviction, that she would have put up Taylor in that spot in order to ensure that Devins left, uh, or to try to ensure that Devins left. Um, which again, further like implies that, you know, she just kind of like Devins was the target.
[00:43:24] [SPEAKER_03] Yash essentially was the backup target there. Um, so, uh, so that's really like the rest of the night. The other thing looming over the week, of course, is the curse. They still don't know what it means aside from just the shortened eviction. My guess is I really just don't think it means anything other than the shortened eviction. Remember they did like the weird public voting, uh, with the voodoo dolls.
[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_03] It's probably something like that. It's probably just, I don't think it's impacting anything significant here. I think it was just an excuse to, uh, to do, to have a segment on the show when the game is slow and, uh, and to build up a curse. Um, and, uh, and that it is, you know, and, and to, to do the shortened eviction. I think that's probably all it was. But who knows?
[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, let's make it cute. Let's make it campy is how I feel about it. I think they're about to do that.
[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_03] So, uh, so that's it, right? Like the main thing is who wins this veto? Uh, if Taylor wins the veto, we have some interesting stuff to think about. If Melody wins the veto, I think Drew is in a lot of trouble. Uh, if Drew wins the veto, that could still be interesting because Drew could pitch to D let's keep Melody.
[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_03] And Melody and D would have a little bit more leeway to break off and say, with Drew to Devin's let's keep Melody. Uh, right? Like it would be an easier sell to do Melody over Taylor or sort of keep Melody over Taylor. Uh, I think for D so that could be interesting. Um, if Melody wins, obviously Taylor goes up and that also would be interesting.
[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_03] Does that mean that, you know, D is able to push for, uh, Drew to go. That also makes it, I think, easier to push for Drew to go, uh, for D. So like the nominations changing, I think is good for D in general. It makes it easier for her to do something that Devin's doesn't want her to do. Um, and if Devin's or D were to win, you know, that's a whole other thing. And D is also, they were promising that they would take Drew off the block.
[00:45:49] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, you know, if they won the veto, which again opens the door a little bit more for like, could we then save? If you're D, could I then save Melody? D might not think it's worth it to save Melody over Taylor, but I do think it is for her. Uh, or at least it could be, obviously it, it puts her in more danger in the final four. Uh, theoretically, like would Drew evict Taylor over D? Would he evict Melody over D?
[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_03] He's definitely not evicting Melody over D, but could he evict Taylor over D? I think he's still probably evicts D. So I don't think it matters that much. Um, but maybe if you're in, and if you're Melody, you're not evicting Taylor over D either. So, you know, uh, I, I don't think it really matters and it preserves the Melody situation for the final three, which I do think is her best case.
[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, so, um, and with Melody in the game, it also, it erodes Drew's relationship with Devin's more, right? Like Devin's can't trust Drew to take him to the end as long as Melody's in the game. Therefore, if, you know, if Devin's has to choose somebody to evict, he's more likely to like, you know, uh, I guess if it's, he's, he would have to choose between either D. Yeah, right.
[00:47:05] [SPEAKER_03] Like if she's against D, sorry, if D is against Drew or Melody in the final four, where Devin's is making the decision he's talked about, he might not have a chance to cut D. He might think about it, but not if it's Drew and Melody still in the game. If it's Drew and Taylor still in the game and it's D versus Taylor, Drew's HOH, Devin's wins veto. There's a world where Devin's cuts D there over Taylor. That might be his only shot.
[00:47:30] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, but if it's D versus Melody or D versus Drew, because Melody and Drew are both still in the game, Devin's is not going to go to the final three with a showmance. So there's definitely, again, there's room to play and, uh, and the, the veto is going to decide a lot of how the rest of this week's strategy will play out.
[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_00] And I'm excited to see it. And I, I also, cause I believe this may be my last, um, podcast of this and who knows? I don't actually, maybe not. Um, but Devin's has just like impressed me. And I would like to see him be the winner of big brother 28. Like it makes me smile to think about his grip on this game, him and these grip on this game. And that's how even the competition wins. I feel like when he gets up there, he's going to talk his shit and it's going to be so beautiful.
[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_00] And it's going to just echo the sentiment that everyone else has about them. Um, just, I'm excited to see this end game. I think we're in for a lot of different possibilities. Um, and I just hope I would, I would, I would be okay with a lot of these people winning.
[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, I I'll say again, for me, like the fact that we've gone about 50 minutes, mostly just doing analysis on the final five, I think is really fun. Uh, you know, compare this to say like a BB 26, um, where it was like, yep.
[00:49:03] [SPEAKER_03] So Chelsea and MJ, like, you know, like there's so many different angles to this because so many different people are talking about cutting each other. And there are so many different possibilities and strategies for people moving forward. Uh, last season, obviously it was mostly just like, we're talking about Vincent Morgan, which was also fun, but, uh, but this is a very fun strategic end game. And it has been for a while. And, uh, I'm excited to see where we move from here.
[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_00] Would you like to see a drew win?
[00:49:36] [SPEAKER_03] Would I like to see? I mean, only if he actually like makes a move, like if drew, if drew had a head man, let's say drew had managed to keep himself off the block and then won the veto and took out D I'd be like, okay, there we go.
[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_00] Okay.
[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_03] Fair enough. Yeah. Didn't. Um, if drew manages to save both himself and melody this week by getting D on board and flipping the vote. Uh, and then in the next round, let's say cuts. Devon's goes to the final three with D and melody. And then him and melody get to the final two together. Like, okay, I'm, I'm okay with that. Like if he's, if he makes the appropriate moves, then sure.
[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_03] In the same way that if, if like melody made those moves, melody comes in clutch, wins a competition here or there, or like manages to convince somebody to do something. Uh, if Taylor gets there and makes the appropriate moves or makes the appropriate case, I really think that anybody like everybody is still live in this game.
[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_03] And, uh, and so, you know, the way to the end and the way to win, uh, is, you know, hopefully the person who does end up winning made the appropriate moves to get there to win. And, uh, and didn't just kind of like get, get lucky there to win, but, but they kind of all have to make the appropriate moves most of the time, uh, or just, just win their way out.
[00:51:01] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, but I'm hoping that it's not winning their way out because the field is so even that, you know, we get there in an interesting way.
[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, I agree with you. I would, I would definitely be, I think everybody has a speech to give, especially if they're in those final two seats. Melanie, she's already target right here. They could easily get around if she makes it there. There's already a story drew this whole entire thing. But he's just so under the thumb that like, like I want the thumb to be lifted off of him so drastically. What you said was right. He has to make, well, he, cause he's on the block now, so he can't make that D move. Um, but he just has to do something so drastic.
[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_00] And if it's making him and Melody safe, getting them to the final two, that could be something very tasteful. Um, yeah, I, it's interesting. It's interesting. And the video is played today, correct? Should be. Yeah. Okay.
[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_03] All right, Jacob, anything else that you want to bring up from yesterday?
[00:51:53] [SPEAKER_00] No, I mean, yesterday was kind of gloomy as, um, Yash was no longer in the house. I was kind of sad. I was kind of just in the feels a little bit. Um, is, do you think the way that I felt in regards to Yash leaving was the way that people who like, um, Keanu felt when he left?
[00:52:13] [SPEAKER_03] Um, I don't know. I mean, I think, I think you usually feel the most amount of emotions for a player that you liked when they go out in a double because it's so unexpected. Yeah. It just happens in a flash. You have no time to like prepare for it emotionally.
[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, Ted, I had such a crazy story that made me think of this. It's kind of like, yeah, it's kind of morbid, but I'm going to hear it a little bit. I don't know. It just happened to me. Okay. But yeah, uh, it's life though. It's life. Life can be like, you know what I mean? And so Yash was just taken like that. And, um, I didn't have time to prepare.
[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_03] So, yes. Yeah. Uh, so, uh, I think, you know, I, I think it's, uh, it is, it is tough for people when the, when it just happens in a double like that. Um, all right, Jacob. So veto should be played today tomorrow morning, 11 a.m. Eastern. I will be here to update you on the results of the veto.
[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_03] And what I imagine will be the likely eviction for, you know, what's going to happen, but not even necessarily because again, there's enough suboptimal play right now, in my opinion, that things could easily shift even last minute. So we'll see about that. Uh, and then tomorrow night, there will be an episode. I'll be streaming Patreon, Twitch, and YouTube. Uh, there'll be a podcast afterward. Of course, last night was unlocked. Rob Sestranino was there. How fun was that?
[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_03] It was incredible.
[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_00] And he looked amazing too.
[00:53:43] [SPEAKER_03] Like, he looked good, sounded good, acted good. I thought he was so great on the show. I mean, obviously we knew Rob would be good. We knew he'd be good at analysis. We knew he'd be good, like, uh, you know, presenting. Um, but I was, I was very impressed. I was very impressed with Rob on the show. He really, he really kind of showed a lot of people up.
[00:54:03] [SPEAKER_00] He's a showman. Like it really showed to me, like we see him move this, this show through this entire course for as many years and as many podcasts. As he's done. And to be able to get on camera and present yourself as such, um, he did it very masterly. And just very like, you know, he's a showman.
[00:54:24] Yeah.
[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_03] He did it. All right.
[00:54:26] [SPEAKER_00] Well, uh, Jacob, what do you got going on? I have Big Brother. Um, I have just like other TV shows that I've been getting into. I have music. Um, check into the music is super good, super sexy, super lively, super flowy. And as you end this Big Brother season, um, we got a good season out of Big Brother 28. And I feel like a lot of the steam and a lot of the power in regards to Big Brother had, well, for me, it definitely has just like enhanced. And I like to see it.
[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_00] I feel like sometimes, um, some of the episodes they produce differently and some of the DRs we've gotten has been differently than seasons past, which I'm really enjoying. Um, and I'm excited for Big Brother's future. And, um, yeah. All right. What do you have going on, Terry? That is 30s already said.
[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_03] Well, yes, the podcast. Check out my Patreon. Um, I will be doing, uh, I will be covering, uh, the new Trader Season, Trader's New Blood, uh, on my Patreon if you want to watch along with that. Um, and, uh, and of course, the big news. Taylor on, uh, the next celebrity season.
[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_00] Oh, wait, I saw that. I was like.
[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_03] Of the Traders.
[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_00] That's iconic. That's like, oh, Terry. Big time move. That's a big time move. This is huge. Like, yeah, it's going to be, it's going to be insane. Yes.
