[00:01:03] We have some nominations, we have some bribery, some power talk and all kinds of drama. Coming into today with me to talk through it all is Mary. How are you doing, Mary? I'm doing good. You know, I'm having a little bit better of a month than Haley is. It does make me wonder whether or not anyone has actually told Haley like,
[00:01:29] hey, you realize that you've been in power and have had HOH and stuff and there's people who just like been on the block a lot. But no. Do you even understand how bad of a week she had last week and now? And now she has people apologizing to her first thing in the morning. Yeah. Yeah. Disgusting.
[00:01:55] Yeah. It's so terrible. So terrible. What a terrible week. What a terrible week. So as you all know, Yash is the new HOH. His plans from the night before were D, Angela and Haley on the block. So we are going to start the day with that is the plan. Yash still has to have some one on ones. There's still a lot to talk about in terms of powers. Of course, Devins has the diamond power of veto.
[00:02:25] D has the bribe power. So that's on the mind. But first thing in the morning, as I'm starting yesterday's update, Lala. And I mean, first thing in the like they just got up. Haley's in the bathroom. Lala is there and Angela is there. And Lala starts an apology to Haley.
[00:02:56] And she's like, I just want to apologize for last week. You know, like things got to a place that like I didn't want them to be and so on and so forth. And Haley says, listen. I accept the apology. But it was straight bullying all week. And it wasn't bullying at all. Hmm.
[00:03:25] Every single person in the house apologized on your behalf. And the word bullying was spread around. By Haley. I feel bad for you in this instance, because it looks like you bullied me a lot. I lost. I came to you as an apology. Yeah, but girl, you bullied me all fucking week. Like the way you made Angela cry.
[00:03:51] And by the way, through all of this, as I'm saying, as I was saying, Angela is just standing there and she's got her shades on and she's just kind of like totally straight face. Like, Taran, you look like a bodyguard when you do that. You look like a. That's what she looks like. That's what I'm saying. You look like the guy in Princess Diaries, too.
[00:04:20] Someone will know who I'm talking about. It's like the assistant to the bodyguard. Anyway. Yeah. No, here's my question, because, you know, I watch this, but like, I feel like Haley doesn't really ever exactly get to any points about like what Lala did to bully her specifically. There's a lot of like talk about how people were saying she bullied. And there was like talk about like making Angela feel bad. But like, I don't know, there's a lot of hearsay.
[00:04:49] There's not a lot of like this is the definitive thing you did that hurt my feelings that made me feel bullied. She says Lala intentionally tried to like isolate her by telling people they couldn't hang out with her and getting mad at people for doing so. Of course, we had the one instance where Angela felt that that was the case. But, you know, Haley saying I talked. She says, I'm sorry, but the way Angela was boohoo crying.
[00:05:17] If I had boohoo cried like that and sorry to say boohoo crying, but I wouldn't have gotten the same sympathy. There was no bullying. No, there was bullying. Every person in this single house apologized on your behalf. Then I'll talk to every person in this single house. Angela's like, I did feel like with the fan thing, Lala, that that was a little much.
[00:05:45] I like the clicking of the fan. What do you want me to say, Angela? This is I'm assuming that during the HOH lockdown that she was getting a weird look and a weird fan thing was happening. And then this could this continues through the morning a bit. It bleeds into the kitchen and and Haley's just like, you're a bully. You're a bully, Lala. I was no, no, Haley. You're a bully.
[00:06:14] You're a passive aggressive bully. And that's that's about where they get to. Yeah, I do kind of feel like in this instance, just calling calling the person who's calling you a bully, a bully also like at least then it's kind of a non winnable situation. You know, like you can call me a bully all you want. I'll call you one back. It's fine. We've seen real bullying in the Big Brother house. That has not happened so far this season, really.
[00:06:44] Yeah, I mean, I'm going to say no comment. I'm going to say that I'm going to say I didn't I would say if you want to point to any one thing as like potential bullying, I would point to the tea party. But like, I'm not I'm not pointing even then. I don't know. I just feel like the word bully has like gotten so watered down over the years. What are we doing? Don't make me pick between my friends, Mary. It's not Joe from Princess Diaries.
[00:07:13] It's Joe's assistant in the second one. That's who you look like. Oh, my gosh. I can't think of his name, though. Yeah. So we really started off started off great. And this was, I believe, happening like somewhat during the live feed update yesterday as well. Yes. Yes. So basically what Lala does is she goes to every single person in the house. Was I bullying? Do you think I was bullying?
[00:07:42] And every single person says, no, you weren't. You're totally fine, Lala. And then Lala's like, I wasn't bullying. What are you going to do? Yeah. So that was mostly that. Yash starts to have his one on ones. He talks to D and we don't see a whole lot of this. The feeds are cutting in and out through most of the day.
[00:08:09] They really like hate showing us things when it especially regards powers. So there's more of this later, but we don't see much of this. But we do know and we do see that D mentions Drew and Haley as potential nominees that wouldn't be herself. It's a it's not like a big conversation yet, but she does drop Drew's name. And now we don't know this is very dangerous.
[00:08:38] This is quite a rookie mistake from D's part. She's never really been in this position. She's you know, she doesn't really have the big brother handbook. And so she drops Drew's name here. This is going to be a problem for her later. Yash also talks to Devin's who is not pleased with the plan. Obviously, Yash tells Devin's the plan D Angela and Haley.
[00:09:06] He tries to make a couple of arguments like, hey, I and tune to icons kind of kind of makes it feel like it's open season on the icons. And and yeah, she's like, yeah, but it's not you. And he's like, yeah, but wouldn't nominating D kind of like mess up the, you know, wolf pack, you know, like and he's like, she's just a pawn. It'll be fine. Yeah, I do love the like bringing up older alliances.
[00:09:35] Like if you have so many alliances, you just, you know, pull them all out. But alliances are like plants and you have to water them and nurture them. And you can't just create one. And then several weeks later, bring it up when it suits you. It doesn't really work that way. Yeah, pretty much. Especially when pretty much every party in the alliance thinks it's like not a real alliance. Well, and I think also importantly, you can't bring it up when you're not in power.
[00:09:59] Right. Like if you win HOH, you can be like, Yash, wolf pack, right? And Yash will be like, yeah, you know, but if Yash is HOH, you can't be like, wolf pack. And Devins should know this because Drew tried the same thing with Devins back a few weeks ago. And he was like, hey, remember us? Mm hmm. Mm hmm.
[00:10:28] Um, so, uh, you know, I don't know, maybe just just a thought maybe in say during an HOH competition, don't pick your allies to go against each other in a knockout is my suggestion.
[00:10:44] Um, yeah, I mean, I think that there are there are times when you can sort of retroactively look at someone's game and talk about how there were good things that happened because they weren't in power and they were able to hide and not be a target. There are certainly cases where that happens. However, I think it's a lot easier to look at someone's game and go, oh, that's when they messed up because they threw HOH and they didn't realize that like you can do more with power than you can without power.
[00:11:14] So the other thing I want to talk about real quick, I wrote this down like four days ago on my phone. So hold on because I didn't want to forget it as a thing to talk about. How important do you think the staying off the block thing has been? Because one problem and and and what I mean about this is like at this point in the game, it's really easy to look and say the three icons. And is it Kamu or the people who have not been on the block so far?
[00:11:40] And while obviously that's great that they haven't because that's such a small percentage of the people in the house. This is the downside to not having block stars. When you have someone who is repeatedly used as a goat and put up on the block. And like I want to say, I appreciate from an entertainment perspective and from a lack of like house ganging up on people perspective. I like that we've had a bigger variety in people, but it means more people have hit the block.
[00:12:09] And so if you were to have one or two people who it's like, OK, we're pretty much always going to nominate these people. Easy noms. It's easier for the icons to hide because there may be there be six or seven people who haven't hit the block. And so it's easier for them to hide at this point in the game where, you know, five, six weeks in and it's like, oh, it's pretty obvious who hasn't yet. Do you think that matters at all? Is that something that you should like calculate for?
[00:12:36] I don't think it matters a ton, but it matters a little. Right. Like, I agree. I think that the optimal strategy is not what the survivor players like. They set up an alliance with an optimal like structure, but then they didn't operate optimally between the blind sides. And yes, even when Devin's was HOH and he was like, I'm not nominating the people that were nominated before.
[00:13:04] Like that gave Yash a ton of runway. Right. Now look at what's happening. That gave Mallory a ton of runway. Now look like now look what's happening. Like that's great for us. Blind sides are great for us. But like those were not like optimal strategies.
[00:13:22] And yes, part of that is because now it becomes more obvious more quickly who has not been nominated and not being nominated is really important for vets because it helps maintain this mystique of them being untouchable. Dee and Angela potentially touching the block here does open the floodgates. It does now become open season on the icons, whereas before you might have been really scared to. Now it's like, oh, somebody did it and they're not dead.
[00:13:52] Oh, I can do it too. But I also don't think it's like a huge thing. I think that oftentimes people will be like, oh, this person hasn't been nominated. Isn't that weird? And then you just kind of move on. Like you only really care about it if you actively want to nominate that person. You're very rarely going to be like, I this is this is an ally of mine that I want to keep safe. Wait, they've never been nominated. Hmm. Like, you know.
[00:14:21] And I think it's more so what you're saying about like the culture of the house being a thing when the culture of the house is, oh, we put up the same person over and over. It's it's harder to then break that. And usually what we've seen in a lot of seasons is you'll have a couple of people who will be goats used on the block over and over and over. And then maybe one of them will win an H.O.H. And they'll disrupt things several weeks in.
[00:14:48] And but also it's harder in this season with three people trying to keep all three off the block than it would be just to play a game where you're trying to keep one person off the block. So it's trickier, more visible this way. But either way, it just kind of gives Yash like it gives people the ability to be like, well, I mean, you didn't want to put up the people from week one because you wanted new nominees. So now I'm doing the same thing. Yeah.
[00:15:17] Yash continues his one on ones. He has a long conversation with Mallory. It's a it's a bit of a clumsy conversation from Mallory's end, in my opinion. He is it's again, it's like one of those things where I just felt like she should have tried to listen more than than talk if possible and trying to get the vibe from him. What he was thinking before starting to like name names.
[00:15:45] I think maybe she thought like because because she's done well at this before, like she has practice being on the other end of an H.O.H. that might nominate her. But I think she feels pretty safe with Yash. And I think she was maybe this is my pure speculation. I think she was maybe experimenting with like, what if I tried to influence somebody else to do something like that would be pretty cool. That's what people do.
[00:16:07] Right. And so she's trying to essentially convince him that like a good plan would be Haley and Kamu and Devin's on the block. And so she names Kamu as like, I would put up Kamu. I would put up an icon, somebody like Devin's. And she names Kamu multiple times saying that he'd be good to put on the block because he'd be somebody that could compete against Haley in the blockbuster.
[00:16:34] And it's pretty clear that Yash is like not into Kamu as a nominee. He eventually has to like straight up tell her like, listen, Kamu can be your shot. It's not going to be mine. And she's like, oh, yeah, totally. Please don't tell them I said any of this. It's like, oh, that came a little late. And I was a little worried about Mallory in this conversation because it didn't. It was kind of, you know, exposing in a lot of ways.
[00:17:05] But Yash really likes Mallory. And what I will say is he did not tell Kamu about any of this. He did not tell Devin's about any of this. And he had ample opportunity to. In fact, he talks to Kamu and he goes over all of his conversations through the day, including Mallory's in heavy detail. Talks about his conversation with Mallory to a point and then says, and that was basically it. And then I just put moved on to the next person.
[00:17:35] And intentionally not telling Kamu about Mallory dropping his name, which is just straight up good gameplay in general from Yash, whether or not he really likes Mallory. So, like I said, a little bit of a stumble here, I think, for Mallory, but Yash not using it against her, not exposing her here. Yeah, I feel like Mallory sometimes is a little clunky in some of these one on ones.
[00:17:59] But I think her charm outside of game competition is helping to like smooth some of this over. Yeah. Like I said, I think she's been she's been good at this in the past. I think that like I think maybe she was experimenting with something new here. Didn't quite land. Devin's warns D that she'll be going up on the block. She initially felt good about her conversation with Yash because he hadn't said that he was putting her up.
[00:18:28] But as she was talking to other people, she was starting to get a bad vibe. And Devin's is able to confirm the bad vibe that. Yeah, I think it's going to be you. I tried talking him out of it. It's not working. They're gonna have like multiple conversations through this time period because they need to find a space to talk. And eventually they do. And they conclude like, OK, D maybe needs to use her bribe.
[00:18:59] Maybe there are different ways she could use it. She suggests that she could use the bribe to convince. Because like the the number one ask is like the opening negotiating position would be. I will bribe you to nominate Drew, Melody and Haley. Right. And then if he says no to that, like, well, then I will like what about just Melody instead of me?
[00:19:27] Or OK, what about just keep me safe and no renom? Like, you know, there are different negotiating positions she could take. Start strong and move down the tiers if you have to. Yes. Keep me and Angela safe. Just me safe. Devin says don't don't mention Drew's name. Yeah, because Devin said briefly mentioned Drew's name up in the HOH room.
[00:19:56] And he got the vibe from Yash that that was not an option that he did not like that. And D is like, oh, I already did mention Drew's name. But she's like, OK, I won't mention Drew's name. Which, you know, oh, boy, that would have been even worse. But but it's still it's bad enough anyway. She she's already dropped it. Does Devin's not just tell D like don't mention any guy's name? Maybe. Maybe that's going to be a lost cause.
[00:20:23] Well, he points her toward Melody, who is the person Yash had been considering as the alternative. And so this is kind of the plan. She's going to maybe try to use the bribe to to redirect Yash. But after thinking about it a little bit, Devin's comes up with a different plan, which is, OK, if the bribe doesn't work. What if I tell Yash he should nominate me? Instead of you.
[00:20:53] And you hear this and you go, oh, my God. But there is actually like a kernel of logic here. The idea being that Devin says the diamond power of veto in the event that D is on the block, stays on the block through the veto ceremony, meaning she doesn't have a veto used on her. Devin's will be using the diamond power of veto on D. This is non-negotiable as far as he's concerned.
[00:21:22] If he stands up at the veto ceremony and uses his diamond power of veto that he can't lie and say it was expiring that week, has to tell the truth that it had more weeks to go and uses it on D is a big, public, powerful, memorable statement that he values her over everything else in the game. However, if he goes to Yash and he says, hey, I don't want Wolfpack to be broken up.
[00:21:51] I want to do you a favor. Put me up on the block and put me up next to like Melody and Angela so that I have a really good chance of winning veto. Then we can backdoor Haley. This is a better plan. I'm willing to do this for you. It's probably going to be relatively transparent that he's doing this to keep D off the block, but there's at least some amount of plausible deniability.
[00:22:15] And then if it comes down to it and he doesn't win the veto, he can use the diamond power veto on himself and it's less of a huge spectacle. Yes. And it's less of a big deal. And he burns Yash less because Yash agreed to the plan and Yash isn't going to be mad at him for using the veto on himself as mad as he would be if he used the veto on D. So in theory, there's a world where this makes sense.
[00:22:41] In practice, why in the world would Yash agree to it in the first place is kind of the problem. Yeah. And, you know, it's definitely sort of like a last ditch effort thing. I like normal you don't like the like half measure, but I like it here because it is definitely a lot easier to say like, well, I was going to take myself off with the diamond power veto rather than taking someone else.
[00:23:04] This is the thing that bugs me about Big Brother with not being able to use production as a strategy is like the thing about him not being able to lie about when it expires. There's can he imply, you know, using it going, oh, well, I might as well use it now, you know, like he can. But the second they ask him. But but he doesn't have to tell the truth. Like he doesn't have to just answer questions about it. He can refuse to answer. But that's kind of like.
[00:23:32] Yeah, I just think I think it's I think it's tough. I think the power is powerful enough. I think having these mechanics sort of nerf it is good. Put him put him to the side, put his power to the side. I feel like like the bribe power. Like, wouldn't it be cool if you could use the bribe power, but not exactly say who like what what price it is? I mean, you could you could do that now.
[00:24:00] You could say I have a bribe. I'm not going to tell you how much it is, but, you know, it's from production. So. And maybe that would work better than saying it's 5K, because I think 5K would be about the floor of what you would expect. Now, I will take back some things that I said.
[00:24:20] Like, I think the beauty of this is that you can't just, you know, I think we can all sit here and say with lots of different reality games that when there's more powers and more where the players don't. Don't know how to play against the powers because it's ambiguous. That's frustrating. I mean, it's already frustrating enough that there are several powers in this game that people don't like. Like, I think at the beginning of the game, they should have said, like, here are the possible powers that might come up.
[00:24:47] Just so you know what the rule book is. So listen. Yeah. Big Brother just doesn't want a situation like in Death Note where, like, you know, L gets cheated. You know what I mean? Like, you don't get to write fake rules. That's not how it works. Justice for L. Literally no idea what you're talking about. But I made several. I didn't think you would. So it's fine. Were you? So.
[00:25:15] So Devin tells the cameras after he talks to D that he's like, I do think I've got something really good with Yash and Kamu. I don't want to screw that up. But if you've watched me on Survivor, you know I'm loyal to my number ones. And he is not going to let D go, essentially.
[00:25:46] The way he says this, though, he very clearly doesn't want to do this. He doesn't want to burn his relationships with Yash and Kamu. And in a world where he hadn't been on Survivor and didn't have a pre-existing relationship with D, I don't think he's using this veto. And so. So he doesn't want to, but he is committed to doing it.
[00:26:11] Which means to me that if he finds any reason to not do it, he will want to do that. Right. Meaning, oh, you for sure have the votes and D agrees. Maybe we should try to save it. Right. Now, that is not what D is thinking yet or perhaps at all. So, you know, might not be relevant in any way, but it is at least a little relevant in terms of what D might want with it later.
[00:26:40] So, Angela is going to complain to Kamu that she feels stuck in the middle of this Haley-Lala fight. Remember, this is still going on. Which is only relevant because then she talks to Yash. And she says to Yash that my heart is with Lala. Uh-huh.
[00:27:01] Um, which sketches Yash out because he's like, oh, she's telling Kamu that she's torn between her two friends, but she's telling me that she sides with Lala. She's just trying to tell me what I want to hear. Right. However, while that was a mistake on Angela's part, she does another thing that was very good and she should know how to be on the block. She's done it seven times prior to this in her previous season.
[00:27:29] And she recognizes better than D does. Uh, and like how to, and she's in a better position than D to do this. But she is like, even though I'm going up, I'm still never going to nominate you, Yash. I still love you. Um, and Yash likes that in comparison to how D is going to handle it as we'll talk about. Um, so that's kind of Angela's approach.
[00:27:53] And it's really like what Angela is up to for most of the day is that she, uh, she's just sad, but understanding and very much. I think like mourning the loss of the game that she was playing and accepting that she's gonna have to probably start playing the game that she did in 26.
[00:28:13] Yeah. And you know, I, there was, there was, uh, so many moments during this conversation where I was like, ah, Angela, ah, but then there were also some good ones because I do feel like it is really transparent when you're like, like Yash can see. Angela buddying up to Haley when she's HOH and then ditching Haley for Lala when she's HOH.
[00:28:38] And, and it's pretty obviously, I think Angela really like, we've talked about how she messed up with dropping Haley and going straight to Lala and not playing that better. But I, I do think that with the fact that we've had multiple blind sides, it's, you want as many people in the house, including the HOH and maybe even especially the HOH to want you to stay.
[00:29:03] Because you don't know, like a couple of days, Vito could be one, maybe Yash wants to take Angela down. Maybe Yash doesn't want to take Angela down, but wants to tell people, you know what? I I'd rather have this person go if they're on the block. At this point, Yash still does think that Angela is chaotic, but a lot of other people are going to bring up like probably not as much of a competition threat, which is helpful. So Angela is still like very much kind of in the middle when it comes to like, is she upon, is she a threat at this point?
[00:29:30] Which is better than maybe the, the way that other people have pushed themselves throughout the day today. Yeah. So Yash talks to Haley as well. Haley says she understands if she goes up, but, but she's had such a bad day.
[00:29:50] And, and, and on top of what happened the day before and that whole week before, uh, and she just goes on and on about how, how unlucky and bad of a time she's been having. And, uh, and all of that, um, later Yash talks to Kamu. This is the conversation I was referring to before he gives Kamu a full rundown on all of his conversations, including how he felt about the Angela conversation. Um, not telling Kamu about Mallory.
[00:30:20] And, uh, and then, uh, he says, honestly, I feel like we might as well be in a final two. Like it's an unspoken thing. And Kamu is like, doesn't have to be unspoken. I would love a final two with you. And Yash is like, yeah. Uh, and they both agree that they're, they're working together. Kamu and Yash final two locked in. Who could have seen this coming? Shocking.
[00:30:45] And Kamu says the, the blind side being iced out of that vote with Lyric and Melody when they voted together, that's when he knew that he could trust Yash. Uh, and if it was a blessing in disguise because it really opened his eyes and allowed him to find the right people, AKA Yash. And he's not wrong. Uh, that was, as we talked about, not a good play.
[00:31:12] Uh, and it has created what appears to be quite the monster because, um, yeah. Yeah. I mean, diamond power of veto or not, these two together are quite a force. They've got Taylor and Lala pretty much on lock. Um, and they are both pretty good at competitions.
[00:31:39] Uh, I was thinking about these two as a duo and how they might work, especially if they made it toward an end game. Uh, and, uh, if we're looking at the first six weeks of gameplay, there's only been one week of the six weeks where neither Kamu or Yash won a competition.
[00:32:00] At least one of them has won at least one competition in every single week of the first six weeks, except for specifically week two. Um, other than that, they've won at least one in every single one of the weeks. Uh, so that is very dangerous because these first few weeks of competitions, that's much harder to do in the first few weeks.
[00:32:26] The competitions are more equitable. There's more competitors facing, uh, against you. This is the kind of duo where if they make it to the jury, they are probably going to be trading wins back and forth. Uh, this is something that everybody in that house should be very concerned about. Uh, and it is something that, uh, that FAP is at least a little concerned about, but, um, but this is, I, I genuinely think this is the new direction of the game.
[00:32:55] Um, the power structures are great, but they only last as long as you can win competitions. And if you've got two people that can win competitions, that's even more powerful. Yeah. It's very important for everyone else in the game to not let two competition people be on the same side. I am actually surprised that it's taken this long for Kamu and Yash to like really form something. I felt like this was kind of a no brainer pair early on.
[00:33:23] Um, so Taryn, what is the best way to break this up? Cause I don't, I mean, I see. You use the tag diamond power of veto and you nominate Kamu. I mean, that's okay. That's pretty good. Um, do you think at this point, so if it's, if it's Kamu and versus Angela and Haley, I mean, Kamu's got a decent shot at the blockbuster there.
[00:33:49] I don't know. I'm curious to see how this, I don't even know if it's Kamu versus Haley in the final two or in those two seats. I don't know necessarily who goes. Yeah. I mean, bottom line is you just need to, you just can't give them any free weeks. Um, and they've had, and, and I, I stay, I apologize. I forgot about week four. What happened week four is that Kamu didn't compete in the HOH cause he was the previous HOH. Kamu didn't compete in the veto either. So Kamu had no chance to win anything that week.
[00:34:17] And Yash also didn't compete in the veto and came second place in that HOH. Um, so, you know, uh, and then last week Kamu was second place in the HOH won the veto. Uh, so like, or did I say Kamu? Yash was second place in the week four HOH. So like even in the weeks that they haven't won anything, they've both been like second place or close, uh, uh, or, or quite close at the very least.
[00:34:46] Um, so, uh, point being, and, and we all know like these are like, Yash is good at mental comps. He's also good at physical comps. Kamu is the same. These two are incredibly dangerous as a duo. We should definitely be looking at these two as, uh, the potential people that will be in charge of the rest of the season, in my opinion.
[00:35:09] Um, so, uh, they, uh, they both agree, Kamu and Yash, that Devin's is much closer to D than he lets on. Um, that, uh, they, they're both from Survivor. They, you know, came in together as icons. Uh, obviously they're going to play up the fact that they're not, you know, working together that closely.
[00:35:34] But I think it's pretty clear that they're working for probably closer than they're, uh, letting us see. But Devin's is a smart guy. He should recognize that he should be jumping on our ship here. Um, and that he should not be trying to burn us just to work with D. Um, and so that's kind of their conclusion to that.
[00:35:56] But what that really means is that anything Devin's tries to do to talk them out of going after D is really only going to make them want to go after D even more to get rid of that, uh, influence on him so that they can have him to themselves. Yeah. And, and, you know, the thing is like looking at this purely from Devin's perspective, I think there's plenty of ways that Devin's could do well and even potentially win the game by riding with these guys, getting far into the game.
[00:36:24] And then if he ends up at the end with one of the two of them potentially winning, I think that's possible. I think Yash and Kamu would probably take each other to the finals, uh, rather than Devin's. So I don't think that's the most, the best option. And I also think that Yash and Kamu would probably rather have someone else with them toward the end, like Drew or even Barrett than Devin's. So I think Devin's is, you know, fifth of the guys probably. I mean, really, I think Devin's is at best to the, the cam to their minute men.
[00:36:54] You know what I mean? Like it's not, that's not a vehicle to ride to the end in my opinion. Yeah, it's, it's not, especially if Devin's doesn't win anything down the line. Um, but I can see how like some people might think that that's possible. I really think Devin's best game is, is actually the opposite of what they're saying. He needs to do everything he can to keep D and to keep his people in the game and break up this before it really gets the ball rolling. Exactly. I completely agree.
[00:37:24] I really do think, and we'll talk about it as we get toward more toward like speculation on the diamond power of Vita. But like, this is the time to strike, especially because who knows what's happening with whoever else gets a power next week, which could be aiding Yash and Kamu. Um, so, uh, Yash, uh, Devin's joins, um, and Yash tells Devin's about his conversations as well.
[00:37:49] Devin's again tries to steer him off of D, but unsuccessfully, of course. Um, and, uh, this is around the time that Yash starts talking about how Barrett is more likely his replacement nominee than Melody. Um, it's kind of unclear exactly why he changed. Uh, granted, he was never super locked in to Melody as a replacement nominee.
[00:38:14] She was always more of the person he would nominate instead of specifically Haley, not even D. Um, so, uh, and Barrett was always another option as well. He had talked about it with Drew the night before. Um, so, uh, Barrett, the reason being of course that, uh, that Barrett is too close to the vets. Um, and he is concerned, uh, we, he talks about a little bit later that Barrett is the one that ratted out the summit.
[00:38:43] Um, when they talked about going after the icons. Um, and so Barrett is now pretty locked in as the replacement nominee at this point. Um, and Drew comes in and they talk with Drew a bit. And then Yash gets some alone time with Drew where he tells Drew, hey, just so you know, D said your name to me up, uh, up here. She said to, to nominate you essentially. You're like, oh, well, I guess now I have a preference on who leaves this week.
[00:39:09] Um, this is just more and more stuff that Drew keeps hearing specifically about D. I think he recognizes that, uh, Kamu and Yash are trying to get D evicted and therefore have a motive to say her name. Um, but also recognizes that like, at the very least D is being messy and probably actually saying my name. Um, and so this is, this is pretty relevant.
[00:39:34] It's relevant to what's happening right now on the feeds, which is D and Drew are having a conversation about, I think, kind of this very thing. Um, but, uh, but worth knowing that, you know, Drew continues to, uh, to hear more and more about, uh, about D from these people. Yeah. I don't know. Drew is kind of frustrating me. I mean, it's, he's put himself in this position.
[00:40:04] Like you saw how easy it was for D and I mean, even Devin's before he knows it was shot down. Like just using D drew as a scapegoat and as an extra person. It's like, he's really put himself in this position of like being, uh, sort of a floater, but like not, not getting any of the benefits of that.
[00:40:25] He's more like, he's getting the benefits in that he's hearing a lot of things, but it's never really like his information is never landing with people in a way that's helping them. Um, well, they're, they never, they never listened to it. Yeah. That's the problem. Drew warned them about Kamu and Yash prior to this week. And what did they do during the knockout comp? They said, Hmm, I won't pick Yash. I'll pick Devin's instead. Like, what are we doing? Yeah.
[00:40:54] It's, it's just not great. So, um, I, I want drew, I want drew to have people he's telling the information to that trust him, but also he's, he's been so transparently messy with it that, you know, even FAP sometimes is frustrated with the way that he's spreading information.
[00:41:12] The thing about him spreading information is that like, he's, he's always just given accurate information, even when he's messy and messy in the sense that he's giving information he shouldn't be, but he's always given good and accurate information, uh, that people should be paying attention to. D should be paying attention to the fact that drew said that Mallory would put her on the block as a renom because Mallory will put her on the block. That was the plan.
[00:41:36] Uh, they should be paying attention when he says that, that Yash and Kamu are super tight and they're looking to target the icons because they were, uh, despite their wolf pack, whatever alliances, but nobody listens. Nobody listens because they all think they know better. Yeah. I don't know. It's like, yeah, he's not, he's, he has accurate information, but has not made himself seem reliable enough to where people are using it. It's just, it's just such a weird spot that he's in.
[00:42:08] Well, uh, we get to the time capsule and it is in fact, Melody that wins it. So the online fan base who had been campaigning for Melody all week long got another one, uh, Mallory, then Melody. Now there is a world where this just happened to align with what the TV audience was looking to do as well. Um, but, uh, but it is at least some evidence that the online campaigning has been working.
[00:42:38] Uh, so Melody gets into the time capsule. She has a 50, 50 shot at this point. There are four powers and four punishments on the board and she hits a whammy. Yeah. She is the lady of the latrine. Yeah. Look, I know it's been said before, but it like, it's, it's a little suspicious.
[00:43:08] I don't, I don't know. I just wish that there was like almost any other kind of competition they could do besides just like hitting a button. Cause it feels so much like those carnival games where you're like, is this rigged? Is it not like if I was in there, I would be assuming that it's rigged a hundred percent of the time. So it's a little frustrating, but also I do stand by what I said with Angela, which is, well, obviously having a power helps you in the game.
[00:43:34] I do think there's a huge morale boost from knowing that the audience likes you and voted for you regardless. And I also think that in some ways it it's, you know, you're going to get TV time. It's fun. And like having a punishment means people know you don't have a power. So I think that there is positives with it.
[00:43:59] I think having a punishment obviously is better than having nothing at all and not having gone in, especially with these punishments. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I feel like I agree. Cause I think the, I think the no whammies, uh, press your luck thing is like lame as hell. Uh, and, and it also does invite the suspicion of just like, Oh, interesting. Yeah. That it played out that way.
[00:44:25] Um, like it literally could be throw a ball into like, do like a, um, ski ball type thing. And then whichever, like something that's like more or less sort of a crapshoot, sort of something you could have like a little bit of skill, but that's still probably would roughly equal out to be 50, 50 in terms of powers. And like, I mean, I think at this point I'm going to be pretty shocked if the next one is not a, uh, prize. What is it? Punishment? Oh, power.
[00:44:53] That is not a power because I think it's going to end up being 50, 50 in terms of. Well, odds are slightly better for the fun, for this final person to get a power. I'm not talking about odds. I'm talking about, I think the show wanted three punishments and three powers. I see what you're saying. I don't think there was going to be a scenario. Well, I mean, and Hey, maybe I'll take it too soon. Maybe we'll get another punishment next week.
[00:45:17] But I think it's, I would be shocked if we had ever ended up in a scenario where there's five punishments in one power or something like that. I just don't think that. I do agree. I think, I think in general, cause like what I do like about the presser luck thing is that it's super fast and we don't have to sit through a whole competition, uh, that we don't have time for on a Sunday night. Um, but I think the solution to that is put it on Wednesdays where you have 90 minutes, uh, to fill.
[00:45:45] Anyway, cut down the veto competition by a full segment because you don't need two full segments on a single competition. Run a small little tight, uh, competition, uh, where, you know, if they win, they get a power. I think the reason they didn't put it on Wednesdays is because they want the power to be introduced prior to nominations because they have powers that influence nominations. They don't want to give a nomination power to somebody that can't use it. Who's already on the block and on their way home. Um, but the easiest solution to that is just don't have nomination powers.
[00:46:15] Uh, just have powers that influence the veto competition or the veto ceremony. Um, the, like veto competition, veto ceremony stuff. You've got survivors put powers that are equivalent to idols in there. Uh, where like they can play it at the veto ceremony to save themselves if they want. Like, um, I just feel like, uh, I, I personally would prefer something like that, but, uh, you know, it is what it is. And like, and maybe I'm completely wrong and this is 100% fair, whatever.
[00:46:43] I just know for myself, having played these types of games that it's like you push the button when you think it's on a thing and it scoots to the side. And you're like, I don't know how accurate was that? I don't know. You just don't have the eye. I don't, I don't, I really don't. And so maybe this is just me being bitter about all those times I've lost in the casino. Um, there's a lot of talk of course about like, oh, Haley thought she would have it. Does she have a big reaction? Like, uh, you know, we're not.
[00:47:10] Unfortunately in the world of like, you know, big brother six where we usually get big reactions. Like Haley's it's, we're not going to get lucky enough for Haley to have like a moment. What melody? What do you mean melody? Uh, it was supposed to be me. Um, the best we get is, uh, is her kind of like upset about the punishment that melody got. She thinks it's like not bad enough.
[00:47:37] Uh, just like, like in comparison to Angela, it's like so, so, uh, easy. Um, because she's lady of latrine for 24 hours. Angela was in an egg costume for a whole week. Yeah. It's almost like Angela didn't have like a task she had to do though. Like typically task type challenges are like 24, maybe 48 hours. Yeah, but it's only 24 hours. I mean, cause she couldn't get a worse punishment. And most tasks. How long was the Amazon? I don't remember how long that one was.
[00:48:06] That might've been more than 24 hours. She actually talked about the Amazon task. Um, but I don't remember. I think it was probably 24 or 48. That was, that's actually one. I will say that the task challenge I think should be a week or, or longer, but like more spread out because like just having to eat a lot of things in a short period of time would be hard. I mean, the costumes last longer generally because they like to have people in the costumes for all the footage. Right.
[00:48:33] For the tasks, they just need to film a segment for it and then it's useless. How long was the Sari Felicia kayak? I think that was all 48 hours. Okay. Yeah. So the, the like tied together ones tend to be that long. I do feel like, I mean, I don't think it was really mentioned. I actually, I don't know if I should say this. I don't, I don't love the Adam and Eve costume in that. Like I personally wouldn't want to be wearing a bikini on TV for a long period of time.
[00:49:02] Like, could I wear something under it? Can I wear like pants under it? I don't know if, if not, but like, so at least that one's short. I think it's a very reasonable take. Okay. I was going to say like, I don't know if this is a, people can be like, well, you're on a TV show, whatever. I'm like, I don't know. I wouldn't want to do that. So can I get like a shorts version of this or something? Yeah. But, but at the same time, like for me, I think the nightmare tasks are the ones where it's like kick a billion goals, you know, the ones where you're isolated outside usually
[00:49:32] and everyone else is inside and you have to do like a physical thing over and over and over. Um, just because it really, really causes you to not be able to like talk to people. I would say those are the nightmare tasks. It's only one night though. Yeah. But those are the night ones, the bad ones. If you're on the block and it does feel like a lot of times it's a person who's on the block who has that. If you're not on the block, great. Here's like a fun thing for you to do for a while. Okay. Anyway.
[00:49:55] Well, the feeds had gone down for the lady of the latrine reveal and such. Uh, and, and what, what also happened was that the feeds were down during D's talk with Yash where she offered him the bribe. So we did not see any of it. Um, all we saw is that she later tells Kamu about it. Uh, and then of course Devin's, um, where she explains that he just turned down all of
[00:50:24] the offers that she gave. All of the bribes were turned down by Yash, which to her mind means like saying to Devin's like, I don't think he, the fact that he turned down 5k for this means that I don't think he's going to put you on the block either. Like, I don't think it's even worth trying. Um, but Devin says, well, I'll go up and I'll see like if I can get Yash to tell me about it and then I can be like, Oh, you turned down 5k bro. I would want 5k. Why not?
[00:50:52] Um, and so Devin's goes up to talk to Yash about it and Yash before he, Devin's can even get to the power thing. He's like asking about the conversation with D and Yash is like, it went terribly. Like she had a terrible reaction to it. She wouldn't even hug me on the way out. It was not a good conversation. Uh, and Devin's like, Oh man. And then he tries to like prompt with like some power talk and Yash is like, well, I was like, what? Yeah.
[00:51:20] She offered me a bribe. It's called a bribe. So she has it. Yeah. It's such an irrelevant power though. And then the feeds cut. Yikes. Yeah. Um, we do hear from Devin's like telling D about this later of like that. He does kind of follow this up with him offering to go on the block, but does it in a very like, ha ha, we were laughing about it. Jokey like, Oh, you can just put me up on the block.
[00:51:49] Um, which I do feel like it's like, all right, fine. You tried, you tried Devin's. But also I think that was Devin seeing the writing on the wall. Like this isn't, this isn't going to work either. So let me, and much like also what you were saying earlier, which is like, Devin's is going to try to not have to use this and do this if he can. And so I think he can, he can say that he tried while also sort of not having exactly meant it and push that hard when he talks to Josh. I mean, I do think he would genuinely, I think he wanted it more than anybody else, including
[00:52:17] D, uh, to, to go up on the block himself. But, uh, we didn't see him try. So it's hard to know how much he tried, but, uh, he wasn't even supposed to try at that point. But he said he did anyway. Um, speaking of, uh, Angela asks Taylor, uh, if she will help her stay off the block, like, can you talk to Yash for me? Uh, and Taylor's like, I tried, I did try. I offered him different, different scenarios. He has his own ideas.
[00:52:46] Um, and so, uh, it gets a bit rejected. I do also like love Yash not accepting this. Like for Yash's game and for him, like, I love him just like standing down on this and being like, no, I, I want the icons to go up. I mean, it's just who would, you know what I mean? It's 5k. Like Yash has already made more than that. Just being on the show. Yeah.
[00:53:13] I mean, I will say like, I know that, that, that Claire mentioned, like, you only make like a thousand dollars a week. So this is like five more weeks in the big brother house, $5,000. I would say grand scheme, not that much. Um, I don't know. Could, could they have done $10,000? I don't know. Something like that. But it's, I think that there are plenty of people who like almost any of the past HOHs
[00:53:39] besides Yash at this point, I think possibly would have accepted that to just not put one nominee up and put a different one up. But the problem is like, it only works if they, if they didn't care about putting you on, if, if like, it only works if you were probably able to convince them to not put you up anyway. You know what I mean? Like if they were so unattached to the idea that you could have probably just talked them out of it. Or like had four people they wanted to go up and picked three of them. And so they're like, okay, well, I've got a fourth one that would work.
[00:54:08] But he really wants to DM, so. In that spot, it's like, it's more effective to have somebody vouch for you. Or like, you know, like it's just like there are better methods than 5K. Um, so we event, we do then get to the nomination ceremony where as planned, Angela D and Haley are nominated for eviction.
[00:54:32] Um, D tells the cameras that in a perfect world, she doesn't actually try super hard for the veto. She would, of course, against anybody else like Haley. But in a perfect world, Angela wins the veto. Pulls herself off the block. D has the diamond power veto used on her. She gets taken off the block.
[00:54:59] Uh, because if she wins the veto and uses it on herself, Devins is not going to save Angela. And Angela will be stuck on the block. She wants Angela to also be safe. So she wants Angela to win the veto and then have the diamond veto used on her. And then at the veto ceremony, when Devins pulls her off the block, she wants to have a little, uh, impromptu house meeting where she plays true or false
[00:55:23] with, uh, Taylor, Lala and Kamu about like what they've done before Devins names his replacement nominee. Um, meaning of course, try to throw, uh, you know, those three under the bus and name one of them as the replacement. Uh, and I do think while a little complicated and dramatic, I do think that, uh, this is relatively the play,
[00:55:53] not the throwing of the veto to Angela necessarily, because that's maybe a little bit riskier than it needs to be. Angela is very valuable to D's game. I do agree with her that like Angela being safe is ideal, but given her current position in the house, there definitely is a world where I'd prefer that Devins has the diamond power of veto for another two weeks.
[00:56:15] Uh, because if I can be safe this week and then Devins is able to save me again next week with the diamond power of veto, instead of having to use it this week, like that's worth a little more, I think than just having Angela in the house. Um, and, and again, I'm, I'm the save your ally guy, but I'm also definitely not the throw the veto to your ally guy. Um, so, but I understand where she's coming from because Angela is very valuable.
[00:56:43] The problem is that Angela is not a guaranteed goner, uh, just because she doesn't, uh, come off the block. That's what I was going to say. Especially if, especially if, okay. Okay. So if, let me think about this. If D uses the veto on herself and gets off the block, who is the replacement? Barrett? Mallory? Barrett is the replacement. Or Melody? Melody or Barrett probably one of the two of them. So if it's Barrett, Hmm.
[00:57:12] I mean, I don't think Barrett's going home. It's possible Barrett wins the... She, she, there's a very real chance she loses either Barrett or Angela, which is certainly not ideal. And why I think it's right to even, it's right to consider this side, this move. Um, but you know, it's... Self-preservation wise, D, you have more longevity in the game by being here and having a safety with the Diamond Power Vito still being in play the following week.
[00:57:39] If you can, if you can, if it's coming down to you versus Angela in the... Hmm. Yeah. If it's coming down to you versus Angela in the POV, I mean, I can see why she's thinking about it. And, and there, but there's, again, like there's still a chance that, uh, that Barrett or Angela win the blockbuster and then Haley's on the block and you have a very good shot at making sure that Haley actually leaves there. Um, so, you know, the, the really ideal world scenario, cause she's talking in a perfect world.
[00:58:06] The perfect world is she wins the veto, comes off the block, Barrett goes up, Haley leaves, and now Angela is still there, Barrett is still there, and Devon still has his Diamond Power Vito. Um, now, all that said, I do think that if Devon's is to use the Diamond Power Vito, that Kamu should be the target here. A hundred percent. Um, and, and I think the reason is because they need to cut that power off.
[00:58:35] Now, Devon's doesn't want to ruin his relationship with Yash and Kamu, so I don't think he's thinking about doing that. But, there is, in this scenario where Devon's uses the Diamond Power Vito, he's potentially burning Yash and Kamu anyway. Uh, at which point, you kind of want to go full Ham, uh, from Hamazon, and, uh, and just, just target him.
[00:59:02] And just, just fully, like, stand up there, make another big roam move, and say, I'm targeting Kamu because he's playing everyone. He's in multiple alliances, uh, with, he's in the Bermuda Triangle with Yash, he's in the Wolf Pack, he's in the Primaries, he was in the Red Corner and the Tool Shed, uh, and just, just out everything he's been doing, make everyone feel like,
[00:59:31] wow, Kamu's really been playing this game, huh? Yeah, they're also going to be looking at you, but it, it dumps a lot on the Kamu. You can try to, like, uh, put some distrust in as many people as you can, have him on the block. If he doesn't win Blockbuster, boom, he goes home, and just like that, uh, you've minimized that entire threat, uh, and you've, you've caused a big scene. And if he survives, then there's also, there's still just, like, a bunch of, like,
[01:00:00] stuff going on. If you just, if you stand up there and use the Diamond Power Vito on D, and you nominate Lala, or, or even, like, Drew, which would be even worse, uh, then you are the big spectacle. Right. And, and there's nobody else to even look at. Uh, and you probably still have burned Kamu and Yash, and they're probably still coming for you, and they, they retain, uh, Taylor and Lala as allies,
[01:00:27] and you've just burned FAP, or you've just put Lala on the block, and solidified that Lala and Taylor are against you, and with Yash and Kamu. Uh, I just don't, or, or you put Taylor on the block, which is the second best option, probably. But if you put Taylor on the block, then you've now burned primaries, and you've burned Yash and Kamu, and you've burned Lala. And, uh, and, you know, Haley probably isn't your biggest fan. And if Taylor survives and Angela leaves anyway,
[01:00:55] then you've not done much for yourself, because you can't blow Taylor's game up very well, because you don't know enough information on Taylor. You can blow Kamu's game up, and you can make it more about Kamu than about you, if possible. Um, not to mention the fact, again, that just, like, he is incredibly dangerous in this game, and he is coming for the icons, and, and for D, and if you want to keep that power structure in place, I think this is the best way forward right now.
[01:01:25] Um, that's if he wants to use it. There's certainly a world where you could say it's better for him not to use it at all. Uh, but that world, doesn't seem to exist. He does seem to want to use it. So, that would be my pitch. Yeah, that would be my pitch, too. Um, yeah, it's unfortunate. And this is what's hard with the, you know, three-person alliance with two people on the block. But, um, good that they're thinking about things, at least. Yeah. So, uh,
[01:01:55] Devin's, when talking to D, is, of course, not into the idea of Angela winning the veto. He says he would really prefer to not use the diamond power veto if he doesn't have to. He will on D, but he wants D to win the veto, or he wants the veto used on D in the regular way so that he doesn't have to. That is very much his preference, and he does not, uh, you know, prefer to save Angela in any meaningful way. There's no real proper discussion from Devin's about who he would nominate
[01:02:24] if he were to, uh, use the diamond power veto yet, at least. Uh, he does joke that he would put Drew on the block, uh, but, and that probably comes from a real place. But, uh, but no real discussion yet about what the plan would be. And I don't expect that we'll get one until the veto competition concludes today. Uh, and we know exactly who's coming off the block and what, and if the veto, if the diamond veto will be used and therefore who might be the replacement.
[01:02:54] There are still so many ways this week can play out at this point. And remind me, the order of operations is normal veto gets used first? I believe so. Okay. Yeah. That makes sense. So, um, so basically what would happen is if say Mallory won the veto, decided to use it on Angela, she doesn't plan to use it at all, um, then Angela would come off, Barrett would go up as the replacement nominee, then, uh,
[01:03:24] Devins can use the diamond power veto on, uh, on D, and he would not be able to name Yash the HOH or Mallory the veto holder or Angela, the person saved by the veto as the replacement. He would have to choose from the rest of the contestants. Um, so, uh, Taylor is going to, uh, have a long conversation with Haley. Um, and it's a pretty good one
[01:03:53] on Taylor's end. Taylor's been doing some great work with Haley, uh, trying to make sure she remains pulled in, uh, despite the feud with Lala. Taylor has distanced herself from Lala enough that Haley feels comfortable with Taylor and, uh, to, to potentially work with her. And so, the idea here is that Taylor's saying to Haley, like, you're not the target here. We're going after the icons. Uh, obviously, Haley needed to go up
[01:04:23] because that was what the house sentiment was. But, uh, but they actually, like, it would be great. Yash wants the veto used on you. Um, and, uh, and, like, this would be very good. And so, Taylor doing work to, to try to convince Haley to, to be, to forgive Yash for nominating her and forgive Kamu for everything he did. Really vouching for Yash and Kamu, uh, trying to pull Haley into the Yash-Kamu her Lala group. So, there's kind of like five of them there. Um, which
[01:04:53] is, is effective work. I, I do, and I do think that there's a, obviously, like, Taylor needs this right now. Uh, I would hope that she has a plan to eventually get rid of Yash and Kamu because, uh, Taylor, where do you stand with Matt? Yeah, like, this is not, I don't know. this, this is very, like, Cory and America think that they can keep, uh, Jag and Matt contained. Um, but, you know, it's early,
[01:05:22] still early. It was early for them too, though. Uh, so, uh, she has this conversation with Haley. Um, and, uh, and in this conversation, there's a topic that comes up that becomes a little bit relevant, which is that they start talking about FAP. Obviously, they don't know the name FAP. And specifically, they talk about those four and how Haley thinks they don't have anything official, that they're just friends. Um, and so, uh, so this, I think, sticks in Taylor's mind. Dee notices that this is a very long conversation.
[01:05:52] Uh, and, um, and, and is worried about the fact that Taylor is talking to Haley so much. It tells her that she is, in fact, not the target. Haley, not the target if Taylor is spending so long talking to her. Um, yeah. Also, I just love that concept of, like, they're not a real alliance. They're just friends. And, really, the answer to that is, yeah, because none of them have one power to where they've directly been able to do anything. So they can, like, there,
[01:06:21] there isn't a difference between an alliance and a group of friends who might vote together unless they have power. According to, I don't know. Haley. Well, Taylor talks to Mallory after this conversation and she asks Mallory if she has any official alliances. Uh, and Mallory says, no, nothing really official has form. Uh, and Taylor says, good, well, maybe we should put a four together because Taylor loves making alliances and this, I love. Yes.
[01:06:51] Because she's talking about making an alliance with Mallory, which is exactly the kind of thing she needs to do if she wants to make sure that she keeps Kamu and Yash in check. Now, the problem is, later on in the day, she says that she actually only wants Mallory in an alliance with Kamu and Yash, which, I was like, well, that's not quite what I wanted. No, although I do think Yash and Kamu would be down for that. Well, they would. That was the conversation. We'll talk about it. Um, but, uh,
[01:07:21] she says, let's put a four together. Mallory says, well, I like Melody. I like Lala. I like Barrett. Um, then Taylor says, I think there's already an understanding there, but Melody, if we bring her in on something, she might not want to do it without Drew and that becomes a whole thing. So maybe, yeah, like me, you, Barrett, uh, and Mallory's like, what about Yash? I really like Yash. Yeah, Yash would be great. Me, you, Barrett, Yash. Um, and so there's a, there's a seed of an idea here, although as I'm,
[01:07:51] as I was saying, uh, it later becomes, uh, let's sub out Barrett for Kamu. Uh, and so, um, you know, that's like, Mallory's never going to say yes to that. So this becomes not irrelevant, because it, because it, you know, Mallory might just be like no Kamu, but, uh, this, keep an eye on it. It's not an alliance yet, but it's, it's interesting. Um, and Taylor also mentions that she wouldn't mind Haley in the jury at this point. Uh,
[01:08:21] that she kind of feels good about Haley moving forward. Um, really just trying to like tell Mallory, here are my people, Yash, Kamu, Lala, and Haley, will you join us? Um, and, uh, and I don't think Mallory fully caught all of them. And, uh, but was interested, obviously in the idea of being pitched an alliance. Yeah. Um, yeah, I, I, I'm trying to think of like what the best alliance here for Taylor actually would be. Um,
[01:08:50] cause you need some people with some power behind them. Um, I think in my, uh, in, in my perfect world for Taylor, she is a lot less loyal to Yash and Kamu than she seems to be. Uh, she's like, she's going around vouching for them. She's trying to reconnect Haley with them, which I don't like. I think that's a really dangerous thing for her because I think Haley will a hundred percent be loyal to Kamu if she fully forgives Kamu for everything. And now all of a sudden it's Kamu, Yash, and Haley,
[01:09:19] and it really becomes the mafia. Uh, and like, we really don't need that. It's like, Hey guys, guys, we, we did this. All we've changed here is put Yash in for Chuck, which is like a major upgrade in this alliance in terms of like game skill. Um, and so, uh, that's, I think a pretty dangerous thing to do. I think in her ideal world, you get, uh, obviously like the shot on the icons goes through,
[01:09:47] but then you need an immediate retaliation and you need Kamu. gone. Taylor needs Kamu gone. I don't think she realizes this. I think she really trusts and likes Kamu. I think that's her biggest problem in the game right now. But if Kamu leaves, the whole game opens up for her. FAP versus Yash, Yash, Lala, uh, Haley, um, you know, like that's, that's a great spot for her to be in. And I think she can easily ride that middle. Um,
[01:10:17] or at least just not be like a primary target amongst those, uh, people. Um, but, uh, but yeah, we'll, we'll see. We'll see. Um, I don't know. I, you know what I gotta say? I like Taylor's hustle at least for constantly trying to make alliances. Um, it's, it's great. I mean, I think that, uh,
[01:10:40] I think that like that Taylor even having gotten to this position is really impressive considering where she started, which was on the block in week one. Um, and, you know, had to slowly like build her own power to get here, which is why I'm not going to like, I don't think it's, I don't think we can blame her for needing Yash and Kamu in the way that she, she has, uh, because she's needed numbers and they were numbers that she was able to get. Uh,
[01:11:09] it's just that, you know, you have to hope that she knows she needs to also cut that probably soon before it gets too powerful. Um, but, uh, again, we will see. Uh, she does, um, she tries to convince Lala that D is the most dangerous person on the block right now. And she talks to Yash about her conversation with Mallory. Um, she talks with Yash about the summit being leaked.
[01:11:36] Yash thinks for a fact that somebody leaked it because D seemed to know about it when he talked to her. Taylor is a little less convinced. She says, I did mention it to Devin's, but not in detail. But Yash says, no, I really think that Barrett or Drew must have leaked this to the vets. You know, we know that's true. Um, they of course land more so on Barrett as the potential leak. He's too close to the vets. And Taylor says, Barrett needs to go. I actually, I want Barrett gone next. Um,
[01:12:04] and so Barrett on the block this week is actually quite dangerous for him. Um, they also talk about working with Mallory again. And this is when they talk about how maybe instead of Barrett, if they can get rid of Barrett, they can pull Mallory in and have her work with the, with them, Taylor and Yash and Kamu. Uh, and that would be like their ideal for, I don't think there's a world where Mallory actually wants to do that, but that would be their ideal scenario. Yeah. Um,
[01:12:34] I don't know. I mean, I, I gotta say like when it comes to Barrett, I'm just not really sure like him leaving. Yeah. He's a number for people, but, um, I'm not sure how much that really pushes the needle of like the overall gameplay that much. I mean, it certainly helps Yash and Kamu and whatever they potentially have going on or it doesn't hurt them. No, it's, I mean, it's not, I mean, uh,
[01:13:03] Barrett leaving is actually probably the next best thing after D leaving and D can't leave. Uh, so, um, Barrett leaving is probably the, the best outcome for, uh, for Yash and, and Kamu. Um, now Yash at this point is thinking like, I, I want Haley to stay for sure. Now, um, to which my reaction of course is, you know, you didn't have to nominate her. You didn't have to, uh,
[01:13:32] cause she very well could leave and that's maybe not your best outcome at this point, but that's fine. Um, so, uh, uh, Kamu and Yash talk more about D, uh, Drew joins them and, uh, and they talk more about D and how D should leave. And Yash says that he would not be happy if Devins were to use the veto on D. There's been a lot of talk about who's going to play for who in the veto and D plans to pick Devins pretty publicly.
[01:14:01] And so if Devins were to use the regular veto on D, Yash would be a little annoyed about that. Of course, he's got something even bigger coming. Um, and so the main point here though, is that they are talking about all of this in front of Drew and, uh, and Drew is going to that night, go to Devins and let him know, like Kamu is really pushing for D to leave. And, and, and as we were talking here on the update this morning, uh, Drew,
[01:14:31] I think has also been telling D that, uh, Kamu is very, very against her at this point. So, um, um, I think I talked about this yesterday morning that the, that I expected this to kind of happen that, uh, that Drew in particular would really help get them looking at Kamu and that Kamu might become the intended replacement nominee by Devins. If he uses the diamond power veto, if he can really push this idea that, that, uh, that Kamu is really coming for the vets. So we'll see if any of that works.
[01:15:02] We'll see. Um, how dangerous for D do you think it is that Drew might be told that she was saying his name? And I mean, he was, I don't think it's particularly dangerous at this point, mostly because, uh, like at this point, the vets aren't the problem. And I think Drew knows this, um, that, uh, basically Drew was talking to Melody,
[01:15:32] and Mallory, uh, earlier in the day. And he said like, okay, let's say, you know, an icon leaves this week. People are going to start looking at us. Like we're going to become the next target. Everybody sees that there's four of us, uh, that, you know, there are currently 12 people in the house after this week, there'll be 11 and we will be four of those 11 people. Um, and that's not good. We're going to start getting targeted really soon. Um,
[01:16:02] and in, in the world where you're going to get, you're just going to start getting targeted really soon. You don't want Kamu. He doesn't, I think, want Kamu and Yash, uh, in this house. He wants them gone as soon as possible because they are too good at competitions. And he has a tenuous bro connection to them, but they will absolutely strike at the rest of his people. Um, and so, uh, he can be annoyed with D all he wants, but the fact is,
[01:16:28] if he loses D or whoever else, or any of his other people, like he starts to lose those numbers to go after Kamu. So in his perfect world, it's like, okay, um, it, it's like, sure, D has done me wrong, whatever. But the fact that you are the one telling me this Kamu or, and Yash,
[01:16:48] that gives me ammunition to turn D against you because that's more important than being mad at D is that D is against you and that I can get more people to go against you because you're my bigger threat here. Hmm. Hmm. Yeah. Yeah, that's a good point. Um, gosh, I just, I, you know, I, I think I've said this the last like three weeks,
[01:17:09] but I just really was hoping for some sort of challenge where Melody or Mallory could win and that would force Drew and Barrett to like, I don't know, play a little more, a little more in terms of power. Drew's playing. I'm not going to say Drew's not playing. I'm going to say Barrett's just not. Doing much. Yeah. Uh, I mean, yeah, I, I think, um, and with Barrett, it's like if Barrett becomes their placement nominee,
[01:17:38] much like last week, like I just don't see him doing a lot to save himself. Like what's his move? What's his like campaign? I think his campaign is like, I'm here. I'm here. I'm not doing anything. Um, I still hold out some hope that if he won an HOH, she would make, uh, some moves, uh, moves obviously being going after Yash and Kamu at this point, but, um, but, uh, you know,
[01:18:09] um, yeah, that's about it from the day. Mary, anything else you wanted to bring up from yesterday? Um, let me see. I feel like there was, might've been like one funny thing or something. Uh, I know that Lala and Taylor, or at least Taylor is like sort of publicly distancing herself from Lala a little bit, but, um, yeah, that's kind of neither here nor there. I feel like at some point, if you're, uh, if you're buddies with somebody,
[01:18:38] it's even if you get into a fight or distance yourself, it's pretty easy to come back together. So I wouldn't put a lot of stock in that one. Oh, there was something funny where, um, Haley was talking to Angela and asked if Janky was coming. Um, and Angela said, no, that was only a, my season thing. And Haley thought that it was potentially in every season thing, which thank goodness. It's not an every season thing. Yeah. Uh, I, I agree. Um, so that's, yeah, that's basically where we are. The,
[01:19:07] the week is still so wide open. We really have no idea yet who Devin's might not, nominate with the diamond power veto. It could easily be someone from FAP. It could easily be someone from Taylor Yash Kamu, uh, or sorry, not Yash, Lala Kamu. Um, and then who knows what happens with the vote after that as well, depending on who's up on the block, where the votes are coming from and who wants to sort of like, uh,
[01:19:37] make any kind of move. So there are nine votes total, uh, this week. Um, if all of FAP are off the block, they hold four of those votes, they will likely decide the outcome of who gets evicted, uh, if they are not on the block themselves. Um, so that's interesting to look at, but, um, but if one of them is on the block, then that, that dynamic changes pretty significantly. Um, so we will see, uh, uh,
[01:20:06] there's, um, the chat wants us to talk. So, uh, Barrett was, uh, I, I mean, I don't know if it's a controversy. Barrett, kissed D on the cheek. There was some cuddling going on, some pretty significant cuddling going on as he was seeking comfort from, uh, from Barrett. Um, but, uh, uh, I don't know if it's controversial as much as like, uh, like, um, I think, I guess, potentially showmancy.
[01:20:34] I think Barrett kissing D on the cheek is, I personally don't see a whole lot of difference between that and like, like a kiss on the cheek, a hug, a cuddle. These are all kind of more or less the same level. Yes. I mean, they spent a lot of time together yesterday. This isn't really new. I mean, yeah, I guess it's a cheek kiss, but like, I don't know if D didn't make a big deal out of it. Then my guess is this has been happening. Probably might just not have seen it. I don't know. Maybe not. Maybe it was the first time. Everyone always remembers. I mean, I think it's,
[01:21:04] I think it was the first cheek kiss, uh, likely, but yeah, the cameras were really enjoying watching the, where the hands were going, um, yesterday. There is, um, you know, shout out to big brother because there is nothing funnier to me than when the cameras like zoom in on stuff. Like, like there was even the, the moment, uh, yesterday when Devon's was saying like, damn it to the camera. And he was like, mouthing it really big. And the camera just like hyper zoomed in on him. It was funny. I like that. Yeah.
[01:21:35] Uh, all right. That's what we have then for today. Uh, again, the main thing that I want to point out, and I talked about this yesterday on stream is that like this week is still wide open. Uh, there are so many potential outcomes for what could happen, uh, this week who could get evicted. I think that almost anyone is still potentially fair game. There's a world like it because Devon's is a potential nominator.
[01:22:05] And we, he has had like zero conversations talking about the logic of why he would nominate somebody on who he would nominate. It could be anyone. It could be Mallory because he wants Mallory to compete in the blockbuster against somebody else. It could be drew because he wants to put drew up on the block. Could be melody because that was the other option that was named. It could be, uh, it could be common. It could be Taylor. It could be Lala. Um, and at that point you've, I've named basically the entire house.
[01:22:32] Barrett is the likely replacement nominee from Yash himself. Therefore, almost anyone can go on the block and, and also almost anyone can leave this week right now as we speak. So today is going to be very important. Who wins the veto competition and what is the plan for that veto will be the main thing. Uh, I'm, I'm, I might go live, uh, after the veto competition day on my patron. If you want to hang out and, uh, check out all of the potential scenarios, but I will of course be back tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
[01:23:02] Eastern to update you on everything that happens today on the big brother. 28 live feeds. Uh, Mary, what do we got going on? Um, mostly big brother stuff. And also, um, keep, keep checking in with the free agents pod, millennial TV. If you want to hear me and Matt talking about Suite Life of Zach and Cody. And, and thank you chat for all giving me some hair confidence. I'm still new to the length. So I appreciate that. Thank you very much. It looks great. Thank you. Thank you. I'm still,
[01:23:32] I'm still working on it. Hence the hat. Oh, come on. Uh, all right. Well, thank you all so much for joining us today. Make sure you, tell Mary how good her hair looks in the comments and we will see all of you next time.
