[00:00:41] Hello everyone and welcome to the Big Brother 28 Roundtable Podcast. This is the podcast where we talk about everything from the feeds and we rate the players from 1 to 10 based on how well we think they are doing in the game amongst plenty of other survey questions put to you, the audience. I'm your host, Tern Armstrong, with me to talk through this week in feeds as always, Melissa. How you doing, Melissa?
[00:01:05] Doing great. IONOS KIRAFERN. I did my first Twitch stream yesterday. I can't believe it was yesterday. And it went really well. It was really fun. So I'll definitely do it again. I feel like Sundays are a good day for me to do it. And yeah, it was really fun. Callan had a good time too. He said hi, Taryn on the feed. Just in case you might be watching or something. But yeah, so it was very fun.
[00:01:33] Very cute. Well, also, I was going to say speaking of cute, but then I thought, I don't know if that's appropriate. Kirsten is with us. How you doing, Kirsten? I'm doing great, Taryn. I mean, it's true. And like Melissa can say it and I can say it. But the fans wouldn't be able to handle it if you said it. So it's okay. Oh my God, if Taryn said it, people would be like, what? Oh my God, Kirsten and Taryn, they're together.
[00:02:01] Oh my God, Melissa, stop. Taryn talks to a woman and the viewers go crazy. So we don't want to be getting into that. No, I'm pretty sure I was invited here by mistake. I don't think I've done a roundtable since like Big Brother 19 when I was subbing in one night. So I'm here to be vibes only and probably crash the stock market because I am probably not getting asked back. So I might as well just have fun.
[00:02:29] Oh man, look at this. The guest panelists, they're all over the place. I love it. All right. Well, of course, there's plenty to catch up on. The last time we spoke, Lala was the HOH and she had Chuck and Haley on the block with Haley theoretically as the target. Of course, there was there was a third person on the block. Remember who that was?
[00:03:01] Bear was up there. And Haley was ostensibly the target, but D tried to orchestrate a last minute flip to save her despite the fact that Haley was not even good for her game in the first place. And it never even ended up mattering anyway because Haley won the blockbuster and Chuck was evicted. It's no longer Chuck time. Then, Yash won the following HOH.
[00:03:24] He was looking to target Angela and his nominations were Angela, D and Haley while pulling Haley in targeting Angela. But Kamu wanted to switch the target to D because she had this last minute vote flip shenanigans again and he didn't trust her. That worked. The target shifted to D as she went up on the block with Angela and Haley. Yash then also won the veto.
[00:03:49] And instead of vetoing Haley off the block, despite knowing he didn't have the votes for her to stay, he decided he wanted to keep things the same and roll the dice on the votes. Problem is, not only did he not have the votes, he also didn't even have the nominees. Because, of course, Rick Devins with the diamond power of veto has chosen to save D from the block and replace her with Kamu. A big veto ceremony happened today.
[00:04:17] We were hoping for a bit more drama. They said they were going to really call Kamu out and throw him under the bus. I don't really think that happened. Kamu took it really well, as he does, and played really well in response as best he could in this position. And was just kind of like, I respect the move. But, hey, what did we do wrong? How did we get here? How can we move forward? And that's basically where we are.
[00:04:46] Now, strategically, the alliances are also shifting. In order to make this move, Devins, Dee, and Angela, the icons, they took the crossovers, which, of course, includes Drew and Barrett. And they said, hey, Drew, Barrett, Melody, and Mallory, that's the FAP alliance. Why don't we merge FAP and the crossovers and create what Mallory named Mosh Pit, the Mosh Pit Alliance.
[00:05:13] So they came together and they plan to vote Kamu out as long as he doesn't win the blockbuster. If he does, they'll vote Haley out and kind of move forward from there. Now, of course, not everyone, and by not everyone, I mean almost nobody, is actually loyal to the Mosh Pit for more than a couple of weeks. But they have come together to take out the biggest competition threats, meaning Kamu, Haley, maybe Yash, who knows. But for now, that is on the agenda.
[00:05:42] And the primary focus is on the blockbuster. Who wins it? Who survives? And who wins HOH next week? Melissa, what have been your thoughts this week? I don't know. I feel like I was very excited for Devins to use the Diamond Power Vito, but I feel like it's just been kind of like, eh. I don't know. It just hasn't had the effect that I was hoping the Diamond Power Vito would have eventually.
[00:06:13] I don't know. I guess maybe like if I thought the situation was more dire for like Devins and D, then I feel like I would have been like, we need him to use. Like, oh my God, this is crazy. But I feel like it's just kind of like, okay, Haley's still in the house. Like she still is a target. Like, I guess it is semi-dire, but not as dramatic, I guess, as I would have hoped the situation would have called for. Let's just say.
[00:06:42] Yeah, I feel like Kamu was happy to like be dramatic when he was comfortably in a position of power. But he's like, just unfortunately, like too good a player to respond dramatically in a position of not power, knowing that he needs votes to stick around. That doesn't mean that he shouldn't be doing something. He should. He's got plenty of information to dump, especially on his key votes, the FAP Alliance.
[00:07:10] But taking it low key for now, I think makes a lot of sense. He just needs to start dumping this information soon, in my opinion, if he wants any hope of staying. It's a dire circumstance to try to stay without winning the blockbuster, but it's not an impossible one, in my opinion. He just has to really just overcome his terrible social game with Mallory and Melody who hate his guts. Yeah, I feel like I was hoping for like maybe a situation where Devens and D were both on the block.
[00:07:38] And then he could like, like to the point where it was like only that were possible. It's one of them that's going to go home. And then it's like, I don't know, it just it feels less dramatic to have him off the block and just be like, yeah, I'm just going to save D. But I don't know, maybe maybe it was just wishful thinking that maybe something more exciting would happen.
[00:07:56] But yeah, I feel like it's the situation where mostly you might be targeting from like, oh, it would have been optimal gameplay for Devens to be using this power when he's on the block and in danger. But I think if you just take a step back and think about. We all the time are watching this show and we look at the strategy, but it's so rare that a player is thinking, what do the viewers want? What does Kirsten want to see? They never do what I want them to do.
[00:08:26] And today they are like literally I am Jocasta today. I am so used to giving. And today I get to receive. I think we need to just embrace the gratefulness that we are feeling for getting this kind of like suboptimal, but messy, entertaining gameplay. Because I don't like. We're not getting optimal this season because the people that can play optimally are bored. You know, we have to embrace the mess.
[00:08:53] Yeah, I think also the fact that Devin said he was going to use it no matter what, like even if he got to the last final week that he could use it and he didn't need it, he was like, I'm just going to use it anyway, because why not? And I feel like that is amazing. I absolutely love that because it's like I hate when a power just like goes home in someone's pocket and it's like, oh, great. Like nothing happened with this. So I truly am grateful that he did decide to play it. I think so.
[00:09:21] Kamu not reacting in the way that everyone's like, oh, he's going to blow up. Like that's really good for Kamu. And I totally think that that's like the smart move is just going to Devin like no problems, no problems, like vote for me. Right. But I feel like we could have gotten like some drama out of Yash because he's not on the black. He doesn't need votes. And this isn't great for him. It kind of ruined or ruins hit the plan of his HOH. So he could have given us. Yash doesn't need to jump in that hole.
[00:09:50] Uh, like why would Yash fight Kamu's battles? I'm just saying, well, because they are like working together. And so I just think that I'm saying for drama's sake, I'm not saying for Yash's game's sake. I'm saying like it could have been more interesting and fun to at least have somebody being kind of upset by this. But he's just kind of like. Well, let me let me set the stage a little more, because with Kamu on the block, the thing to understand is the reason that Yash didn't use the veto,
[00:10:19] or at least one of the reasons is that he really did think that he's got he does. He thinks that he has drew and that withdrew likely comes melody and he thinks he has Mallory and he's worried about Barrett. Um, and so with those votes, he can do whatever he wants. And, oh, you know, Devons went rogue with the diamond power of veto and made this massive play on Kamu.
[00:10:47] The idiot doesn't even realize that I already have all these votes. All we need to do is vote for Kamu to stay. And it's a failed move, not realizing, of course, that Devons is not going to make this play without setting up the pieces first. Um, now, so Yash believes that Mallory, Melody and Drew are willing to vote with him. Uh, and then maybe he can even get Barrett. Who knows?
[00:11:14] Uh, however, Mallory and Melody don't want to string him along for too long. Um, they have been kind of dodging his questions, but I think they've already started to push a little bit on the idea of like, Yash, we're not going to keep both Kamu and Haley in this game. I mean, if they're on the block, we need to take a shot, which I think is the right move.
[00:11:41] And Yash will eventually, I think, start to realize that he does not have the votes to stay, to keep Kamu, uh, this week. If, if Kamu stays up on the block, uh, because he doesn't have Mallory and Melody. And maybe they get mad at Mallory and Melody, or maybe they don't because they're like, listen, what can we do? Um, but the point, uh, the point here is that sort of, that is what's, I think, holding things together is that it's, it, it, it has slowly dawned on them.
[00:12:07] Um, it, it will be slowly dawning on them that they have been backed into a corner. They still think they have outs right now. And even if they do realize they're backed into a corner, I think they will likely think, well, our out is to continue to, you know, persuade these people to do something and not have some kind of big reaction or anything.
[00:12:28] So, uh, so that's kind of where we stand and, and for Kamu himself, aside from just winning the blockbuster, which obviously saves him, um, he has two scenarios. One is that he's, he's up against Haley because Angela wins the blockbuster. And one is that he's up against Angela because Haley wins the blockbuster. Um, if he's up against Haley, he, he will always have Taylor and Lala's votes. Uh, he only needs five. So Taylor and Lala plus the three vets would be enough.
[00:12:57] Technically he doesn't need FAP. However, you would need to convince all three vets to vote without FAP. That's probably not happening. Um, and, and getting them to vote that way anyway is, is kind of a difficult, uh, thing to do. Not to mention the fact that Angela is probably the least likely person to win the blockbuster though. Certainly not impossible by any means. Um, so the less likely person he'd be facing is, is Haley. The more likely person he'd be facing is Angela.
[00:13:25] Angela, if Haley wins the blockbuster and if he's up against Angela, he's never getting the vets. So he then needs FAP. And not only does he need FAP, but he needs FAP without the vets consent. Um, and that would mean that he needs to purely campaign to, to FAP. Uh, who have no, have very little reason to vote for him to stay over Haley in the event that Angela wins. It's a tough spot to campaign, but it needs to be focused on Drew, Barrett, Malady and Mallory.
[00:13:53] It's his only way through and anything else is kind of wasted breath at this point. Uh, and quite frankly, it's a pretty difficult campaign to make considering that Mallory is like the happiest person in the world today because there's, she's like, there's nothing. I hate him with all of my being. I hate every aspect of him. I'm so ready for him to leave if we have that shot to take. So, uh, it's looking dire here, Kirsten for, uh, for Kamu.
[00:14:23] And the more dire it looks for Kamu, the more sunshine, lollipops and rainbows it looks for me as a viewer of the program, because we are getting so close to the point where like every single person, you can just enjoy them on the show and root for them. And you don't even have to be rooting against them. Uh, because like, yeah, Mallory hates him. They all hate him.
[00:14:44] Um, Drew put in a lot of groundwork to make Kamu the target of like the diamond POV when he didn't even necessarily know that Rick had it. Like Drew was hating Kamu simply for the love of the game for like three straight days, which is what made all of this possible as well. So like if he doesn't win the, the blockbuster, I think it's curtains for him. And it would be a joy to watch that on Thursday night.
[00:15:14] Cause again, like he's not going to give us a big reaction. Then okay, go home and you can watch the show like everybody else. Cause you can tell he's mad, but he's not giving us the reaction. Yeah. Yeah. Not a lot of drama happening here. It was, it was, as I mentioned, it was quite a, it was a little bit of a disappointing return to feeds here. Uh, nothing like the Rome blind side.
[00:15:38] Um, so, uh, so the real thing to talk about now is like, okay, where do we go from here then? Uh, assuming Kamu stays or even if Haley stays, um, you know, we have theoretically all of Moshpit competing in the HOH competition. Seven people, 10 people will be competing. Yash won't be able to compete. So it'll be seven versus three in the next HOH competition.
[00:16:03] Uh, but the, the thing to pay attention to is that is like, how long will those seven actually hold? Uh, there will likely be some amount of momentum, uh, or momentum here going into the next week because like, Hey, they just took out Haley or Kamu together. We just won this HOH. Let's probably put Haley or Kamu, whichever one survives on the block. Maybe let's put up Yash to compete with them in the blockbuster.
[00:16:32] And who knows who our third nominee is. We don't want to mess up a good thing. Maybe it's Taylor or Lala. Um, and the intention is to target the remainder of Haley or Kamu or maybe Yash depending. But as the week progresses, if there's an opportunity for maybe a veto gets one, maybe there's an option. Maybe there's a slot for a backdoor target, or maybe we're prepping for next week.
[00:16:59] Like, Hey, are we really like, how long are we going to go before we take a shot? The vets are well aware that they are outnumbered in mosh pit three to four. Uh, and D is pretty suspicious of their intentions. And she's right to be because. BAP, despite knowing that they have a four to three advantage, also are well aware that they're going to have to take a shot at the vets sooner rather than later.
[00:17:24] They just need to take out some of these really heavy hitter comp threats first in Kamu and Haley. So the question becomes, when does this blow up? When do they strike at each other?
[00:17:38] Uh, and you know, how long can this last before, uh, before somebody like, I think Taylor is able to sort of get her way in, find her way in and find a path to, uh, to sort of like maneuver her way through. Uh, I really feel like next week is the key week for players like Taylor and Yash. They just need to survive one more, maybe one more week, either by winning the HOH or by just surviving the week.
[00:18:08] And then I really feel like the game is, is wide open for them because I think that they will, they will get into the better position of now they're in the middle of a war between two other sides. So that's what I'm curious about, Melissa. Yeah. I mean, I can't see a situation where the vets are like, yeah, we'll just keep FAP like until we get down to the final seven because then they're outnumbered.
[00:18:31] So, and I don't think they would be like so snowed by Barrett or Drew that they would be like, no, they're going to work with us and cut Mallory and Melody. I think they're smarter than that. So, um, yeah, I, I feel like I don't see a scenario where that alliance goes down to the final seven, like they supposedly want to. Um, so yeah, I think that you're totally right. I think if like some of these other external players just hang on for a little bit longer, that'll be just like an easy in. Um, yeah, I don't know.
[00:19:02] It's just such a fun power dynamic the way it is because like, obviously it's looking like either, you know, Haley or Kamu are going to go home on Thursday. And so then that's two weeks in a row, two thirds of the Chogmu trio will be going home. Right. And so like the one person that's left over from that, especially if it's Haley is not really going to be perceived as that threatening. Right.
[00:19:29] Like if Haley stays, yes, she can win competitions, but like she has no real relationships. People do not like her. Like I don't think any structure she would build if she were to win the next day to age would be built to last. And so then it is so easy to be turning your eyes to other groups and kind of jockeying for more of the middle position rather than just letting FAP have that middle position as a group of four, which is so dangerous moving forward.
[00:19:58] So it's going to be so dependent on who stays, who wins HOH because Kamu is a lot more capable of creating like a good structure for next week if he stays. Like even though people hate him, they recognize his value in a way that they don't see in Haley. Yeah. And we are we really like we're getting down to it. Like we are closing in on halfway through the season. We are about to get down to 11 players, theoretically a spot where the jury could start if there were a nine person jury.
[00:20:28] Um, and it's around this point that like structures are slightly less valuable and it really just starts to come down to who wins the competitions. This is when the comp beasts start to just steamroll a season. Uh, it's less about who's controlling the puppet strings and more about who's winning the competitions.
[00:20:51] And that's why I think like this is phenomenal for most people in the game that one of Kamu or Haley is likely leaving this week. They should almost all of them, even if they're aligned with Kamu, uh, be glad that one major competitor is leaving because it gives them a better chance of winning competitions themselves heading down into the final, uh, section of the game. Uh, it's a little early for Taylor and Yash to lose Kamu.
[00:21:19] Obviously, ideally it happens a couple rounds from now, but like, you know, it's, I don't think it's the end of the world, uh, especially if they're able to play this week. Right. And really like try to get in with, uh, with FAP as much as possible.
[00:21:35] So, um, the, the kind of the point being like the game is really still wide open and with some of, at least one of the, uh, bigger competitors being evicted this week, uh, the comp field is also at least a little bit more level. Uh, Yash, I think is still a huge threat in this game competitively.
[00:21:57] Um, and Kamu, if he survives and he has a good chance to, uh, will still with Yash, I think be a huge competitive force, um, that, uh, that will be difficult to overcome even if they do lose Haley this week. So, um, a lot there, uh, Melissa, uh, anything else from the week that you were thinking about? Yeah.
[00:22:18] I mean, I was just going to bring up the fact that who I feel like whoever stays between Kamu and Haley, I think they have a good chance of going really far and doing really well because I feel like, like you said, both of them are good competitors. Especially Kamu, I feel like has like the, the social strategy part of it. I wouldn't say down because obviously people are like, don't like him, but I think he.
[00:22:47] I think it's the strategy part of it. Like when he's activated, he knows what to do. Right. Exactly. And sometimes people are just like not having it, but at the same time he knows and Haley is just like, doesn't get it. I mean, we saw in the episode where she's just like, I think I'm good this week. And it's like, you obviously don't know what's going on here. Um, but I think having a hard time. Okay. Come on. Poor Haley. Uh, but I do think Kamu, like out of the two of them, I think he knows what needs to be done.
[00:23:14] And I do think I know as much as people are like, oh, I don't like him. He can like put on the, the like quote unquote charm for people when he really wants something. And I feel like whether, whether it lasts or doesn't last, it probably doesn't last. But in that moment, it feels like he, he can get an in with someone.
[00:23:36] And so I do think that Kamu can go pretty far if he survives this week, especially because by that point, I mean, Haley, especially by the, after this week, I feel like she's like on her lonesome and people won't really be looking at her. Cause they'll be like, okay, look, I know Haley's a problem, but there's bigger fish to fry here. And we'll start targeting maybe like the larger groups or thinking like, look, the icons are still here. They had a power, blah, blah, blah. I think that she could go really far. And I'm like, I agree.
[00:24:04] I'm not saying I want any of this to happen, but I just think it's true. We've seen it happen so many times where there was like a big group and then, you know, they get picked off one by one until one's remaining. And it's like, well, why are we wasting our time on this one person who has no allies? Let's just leave them in. And then they comp out for a while. They don't necessarily win, but I do see Haley or Kamu going far, whoever stays. Yes.
[00:24:29] It's almost like, like maybe people would have, should have been a little more okay with like Haley getting a two instead of a one last week from one of the panelists. Hmm. Cause. No. Panelists thought maybe there was a chance that she could bounce back. You know what I mean? Like, uh, like if Tom was like, Fiona was capable of it. Maybe Haley could be capable of it too. You know what I mean? No, I don't. I know what you mean. And I disagree respectfully. No, I think Sharon's right.
[00:24:59] I did want to ask you both. If you saw on Instagram this week, the meme dump that the big brother official page posted of memes from the season. Cause one of the memes in particular was pretty spicy. I did not see that. Okay. Okay. So the main big brother page, they shared a bunch of just memes that had been over social media over the course of the season. But the last slide was a poll that was who has suffered more.
[00:25:26] And the options on the poll were Haley Thogmartin and Jesus Christ. Oh my God. And it was like a poll where like Haley Thogmartin is winning like 70% of people voted for her. Oh my God. I cannot believe they put that on there. Like on the main big brother official Instagram account. Like I had seen that on kind of like a shit posting account. I think I'd even reposted it on my Blue Sky.
[00:25:53] Um, and then it was on the official account, which now I'm thinking, oh my God, wait, am I responsible? Because they have posted for my Blue Sky on the survivor account before. So maybe they found it for me. Oh my God. Um, no, I'm not, I'm not taking credit. I'm not taking credit. Um, but it was so funny. And I just thought both of you did need to know about that. Especially considering Julie. You think Julie, you think Julie be okay with that? Someone made a doctored screenshot of Julie commenting on the post. This is not funny.
[00:26:23] And so now people are using the Julie Chen. This is not funny. Fake comment. Wait, that's like a response to posts online. It's, I just got to bring some of that chronically online energy. Since I love it. Cause I don't know any of it. That's great. That's so insane. Is, is there anything else from, uh, from the week that you've been thinking about Kirsten? She's like, no, that's it. That's all I've been thinking about. Just that meme about who has suffered more, um, has really.
[00:26:51] But I did want to like ask, is it real that all these like official, uh, sports Instagram, like, uh, accounts are talking about big brother. Like MLB. Yeah. Like MLB. And then like a basketball one recently. I don't know about the basketball one, but I know MLB and Walmart have both specifically made comments. I think Walmart was in the chat for the live feed update one day.
[00:27:20] Um, and the MLB is like literally obsessed with Taryn. And I bet Taryn could throw the first pitch at a game. It was NFL, not basketball. I'm bad at sport. That's fine. I should throw a first pitch at a baseball game. I feel like you could get that opportunity at least, at least for like a local or like the one or two levels down. I feel like you could get a first pitch. That's good. My form. Right. That was great form. Absolutely.
[00:27:50] Better than me. I certainly could not throw a first pitch. Oh yeah. I mean, no, I would, I literally would turn it down. Like if somebody asked me to do it, I would be like, that would be the most humiliating thing I could ever do in my life. There's absolutely no way. No way. We could make it happen. We could coach you up. I don't, I mean, no, but like one false move and that is documented forever. And it's like, like people would repost it and be like, that's so pathetic.
[00:28:19] So yeah, I can't. I would just walk over and hand them the ball. Like literally. I was playing catch with my two-year-old niece yesterday and I think she has a stronger arm than me. So she could throw the first pitch. Perfect. Perfect. Yeah, I'll send Callan to do it. He can throw.
[00:29:04] Bye. Bye. Bye. Should we get into some survey results then? Yes. Let's do it. All right. Well, we do ask the audience to rate the players, to rank the players, and all other kinds of questions. One thing that we particularly enjoy are the player rankings. This is the favorite player rankings. This is what we had last week.
[00:29:31] It was Melody on Top, followed by Dee, then Mallory, Drew, Devin, Taylor, Barrett, Angela, Lala, Yash, Kamu, and Haley at the bottom. So the question is, will Melody maintain her top position? I honestly think Devin jumps up. Yeah, because you posted the survey after the veto ceremony, right, Taryn? Yes. Yeah, I think Devin jumps up.
[00:30:00] I agree, Melissa. To the top? I could see. He DPOV'd Kamu. Yeah. I feel like. That sounds. I know. It sounds wrong. I'm sorry. He DPOV'd. Yeah. No, look. So I. Look, I'm sure. I'm just. I think I'm going to be wrong, but I think Devin should just. I should just say Devin's because I feel like that's, that's like a big.
[00:30:31] That's such a big move. And the fact that he did that for us. Come on. The two of you doubted. PQ. Mallory. Is the number one player on the board. She has taken the number one spot. Back up a couple of spots. After she dropped from first to third last week, she is back to first. Okay. Then I feel like Melody is absolutely going to be the next one, but you know, I still feel like Devin's did a good thing for us.
[00:31:01] Devin's has to be like, he went up at least a few spots. Like, I feel like if he's not second, he's third. I'm going to keep betting on Devin's. Well, Melissa is correct. Melody maintains that second or not maintains, but it gets the second position dropping from first last week. Melody and Mallory have been first and second the last three weeks. It's been Mallory, Melody, Mallory. Third place.
[00:31:31] Kirsten sticking with Devin's, Melissa. Although last week D was in second place, wasn't she? He was in second place. Okay. Sorry. I meant that you're swapping first, first place. Oh, I see. Just like, um, I feel like it's Devin's now. I just feel like it is. And I'm sure I'm wrong, but I feel like that's, you know, that's fine.
[00:31:57] Well, uh, last week we talked about how Melody may have had the, I'm campaigning for them to get the time capsule boost. And I think that might be what's happening here as well. Drew. Because Drew, Drew is in third place. That's extremely fair. Drew's also done a lot of good work this week. Like there is a lot to like about what Drew's been doing this week. So I am proud of him for his third place spot. Yes.
[00:32:27] Uh, it is, I think, very interesting. What fan votes do to the fan base in terms of, uh, like how, like all of a sudden everyone in the online community is like playing big brother against each other. Uh, and, and I think, I do think there's a correlation to Melody being on top last week,
[00:32:53] Drew rising this week, just because those are the people that are being campaigned for at the time. Of course, Mallory on top a couple of weeks ago when she got the time capsule, um, and so on and so forth. But it is at this point, I won't continue to torture the two of you. Devin's in fourth place with a one place rise. And this is a great opportunity for me to state for the official record.
[00:33:19] Um, I did say this weekend that if Rick Devin's used the diamond POV to put Kamu up, I would take back any negative thing I've ever had to say about him. And so I, I take back not liking him during the edge of extinction season of survivor. He actually was one of my favorite players that season. And I have never thought anything bad about Rick Devin's retroactively. So I'm just saying that for the record. There you go.
[00:33:50] It's official. Uh, well, um, let's have one more guess who rounds out the top five here. Probably D I guess. Cause D has been in there unless she like really dropped this week. Oh, actually, no, I could see Taylor because Taylor's also getting campaigned for the time capsule. Hmm. Well, it is D who drops from second place to fifth place here.
[00:34:19] Um, and, uh, I will tell you they're rounding out the top seven is the mosh pit seven. It's Angela. Oh wow. And then it's Barrett. Oh wow. All of the mosh pit seven in the top. Um, and, and here's, here's the second part of my theory. I think that because the time capsule war is between Drew and Taylor, I think that, uh,
[00:34:46] there is an inverse effect that if there are many people rooting for Drew to get it, they subsequently have this subconscious desire to be like, well, not Taylor though. She sucks. And vice versa. Uh, granted Taylor is still here atop of the rest of the pile, uh, in eighth place. Um, then we have Lala. Yep. Leaving the bottom three of Yash, Kamu and Haley.
[00:35:13] I feel like they've been the bottom three like this whole time, except for maybe Chuck too. Maybe bottom four. Hmm. I think it's going to. What is the bottom three ranking here? I think it's going to be the say, it's going to be Yash, Kamu, Haley, because, uh, people hate Haley. Yeah. It was good. It was good reason. Like, I don't blame people for hating her. It is Yash. But then it is.
[00:35:44] Oh, wow. Wow. Kamu. Oh my God. Girl boss. Yes. Uh, so Mallory with, uh, a big improvement into first place. Uh, Haley consistently down here at the bottom of the biggest drop, of course, being D this week who, uh, hit her lowest ranking again at number five.
[00:36:08] Um, and, uh, and Kamu drops back down to the bottom, uh, despite a bit of a rollercoaster. Uh, Yash has had a slight increase. I mean, he was really toward the bottom for the first couple of weeks. Then he had a rise up to 10th and he's just kind of held at 10 ever since. Um, so that is where we are at with the favorite player rankings. Um, interesting stuff.
[00:36:35] This is, uh, this is where they actually sort of, uh, place number wise, very, very close between Mallory and melody. Once again, um, then a little bit of a cluster here with, um, with Drew, Devins and D then the trio of Angela Barrett and Taylor. So we should really call it a top eight here because there's a very clear separation, uh, between the rest of the house guests, uh, Lala, Yash, Haley, and Kamu.
[00:37:04] Um, they're really this, uh, this top section all relatively close to one another. Mm-hmm. Crazy. There you go. It stayed pretty much the same. I'll say like, it's been pretty consistent that this like top group has been like, they sit, they go around a little bit, but it's like pretty much, it has not changed that much. It's not just like up, down, you know, up, down.
[00:37:30] It's basically these guys are here and then these guys are here and they, within their little groupings, they move around, but they don't really make a lot of changes. Well, you can see as we go through like week, we, in between week three and four is when there were a lot of big shifts, uh, for a lot of the players. Um, maybe not for Angela, but like you can see almost all of them have like a shift from
[00:37:54] week three to four that has kind of held strong for the rest of the season so far. Um, I'll be curious to see if, uh, if we get another shift soon as well. All right. I do think people are sleeping on, especially Lala and Taylor. Like I feel like really eight and nine, like they bring entertainment. I think they are like about to, if I were to buy stocks in popularity, I think Taylor and
[00:38:24] Lala are about to, to kick off. Uh, like once they are not attached to Kamu, I think they are going to. I feel like that's bringing them down. Um, which like, they don't know about how he, like the things that we know on the outside, like, I don't think that they should be blamed for that. And I actually just feel sick to my stomach thinking about how they're going to get out of the house and find out about this person that they were so close with and the things
[00:38:54] that he's posting and the things that he's saying. Like, I don't think that they should be penalized because they like basically fell for a con man who's lying about how he is. Well, we do have some more questions. Uh, these are the, uh, the episode ratings rating the episodes.
[00:39:18] Um, week six is historically, it looks like the best week for episodes. Of any season since big brother 21, uh, 6.9 average rating for week six, all in the green. The question is, can big brother 28 maintain that streak or have the episodes failed us in comparison? 6.7.
[00:39:48] There you go. Yeah. It is a little lower than the average of, of a week six, but it is still in the green. It is one of the lower, uh, rated week sixes along with big brother 24 and big brother 22. Uh, but, uh, but holding in there, 6.7 only down 0.3 from last week's 7.0. Um, overall very good episode ratings. I mean, uh, the only season that's had a better streak of episode ratings for the first six weeks
[00:40:16] was big brother 23, uh, for its first six weeks. So, um, interesting stuff. So it's all downhill from here according to the, uh, Oh my God. Don't say that. Look at that. Look at the data. That is historically true. There is only, only big brother 25 increased to week seven. Uh, and, but then it, but then it died. Yeah. Um, so great.
[00:40:42] Well, I think that it's going to be great because we are having honestly, uh, not a horrible boot list. And I think that that does a lot for the season's rankings and the episodes have been good this season. Yeah. The episodes have been really good. Like normally if I miss an episode, I'm like, Oh, whatever. I already saw everything on the feeds. Like I'm fine. I don't need to go back, but I've actually been going back for all the episodes of the season.
[00:41:10] Well, we also have the feeds, uh, again, um, the feeds average rating for week six is the highest other than week one, which, uh, is obviously the, the highest average rated week for feeds. But week six has just generally been, you have to remember week six often contains or comes close to containing the day 44 stretch of time.
[00:41:37] I think that's a very helpful, um, today, uh, on the feeds is in fact, uh, day 42. So, uh, we are just slightly off of, uh, day 44. And of course day 42 was a pretty big day this season. Uh, maybe we lacked a little bit of drama, but it was still quite the move, uh, to use the diamond power of veto, but did it help the feeds? It's 7.2, 7.2.
[00:42:06] So I'm just about average for a week six, uh, down from the 7.9 of last week. Um, so, uh, but still very good. Again, these are great ratings. It, it once again is only beat by big brother 23 and big brother 25, uh, in terms of like, uh, it's consistency here. So, um, good stuff from big brother 28. Yeah. And I mean, if this was a normal season where waffle Wednesday was like the pinnacle of the
[00:42:36] week, we'd be having day 44 on waffle Wednesday, but unfortunately we're on the survivor timeline. So Thursday is going to be a little bit crazier. Waffle Thursday. Like, uh, uh, what's a breakfast food that starts with a TH? There's yeah. There's like, Oh, TH. TH is hard. Toast. Toast is right there. It's just the whole, it's tough. Cause like the waffle thing is like, cause waffles, cause waffling, like there's more there.
[00:43:06] Trifling Thursdays. Oh, trifling Thursdays. Not bad. Oh, turnover Thursday in the chat. That's pretty good. Okay. Uh, all right. Next we have the season as a whole. This is really like the true up and down metric of, uh, of the season. Um, again, week six tends to be a decent one. Uh, one of the higher average ratings for a season as a whole.
[00:43:34] This season in particular has had some ups and downs. Uh, it is well behind despite having good episode and feed feed ratings throughout. It has fallen behind a bunch of other seasons, including big brother. 26, 25, 23. We're all very solid through the first six weeks. Um, and so it'll be very interesting to see what we do here. Last week was a 6.8. It had recovered significantly from the previous week's 5.1. This week, 7.1.
[00:44:04] Another increase. Wow. Wow. That's impressive. I think any week of a bad ranking for the season, I feel like is being so impacted by this fear of a steamroll that has been happening week after week. And then week after week, this season has proved that like these alliances are built on sand, not stone. Like it's, it's not going to be a steamroll. Well, that's, I mean, that's, I think a significant part of big brother 27's right rankings or ratings here.
[00:44:34] Is that like at this point in the week during big brother 27, everything looked like it was going to hell. And then things would turn around on Thursday only to by the next time look like they're going to hell again. Yes. True. And like, we are big brother fans. We are fickle. We are hypocrites. So it's just the way it is. Yeah. All right. Then we have the HOA train. Last week, Lala got a 6.6.
[00:45:02] It was better than Haley Kamu or Devin's. They're HOA trains. Yash though has had a little bit of an interesting one. He, he, he, he definitely made, he had the right idea, but made some errors in terms of how he went about doing the idea. Yash is going to get a 4.0, which is still higher than Haley and Kamu, but lower than Devin's, Lala and D.
[00:45:31] He, he does make a pretty significant mistake here, in my opinion, by not only nominating Haley, but leaving her on the block. And this could turn out to be a pretty disastrous HOA train if he ends up losing either Haley or Kamu, which looks like that is going to be the case. Really the rest of the week for Yash, instead of sort of like positioning himself forward, it's really just damage control now. And that is unfortunate. Mm-hmm. Absolutely.
[00:45:59] Maybe if he had a little more of an open mind when it came to the gender of his nominees, he would have had a better shot. I mean, imagine if he, yeah, yeah, no. He thought about it. He thought about doing Barrett instead of Haley, but he was like, hmm. And again, Drew did very good work of being like, no, do not put up Barrett, Barrett's a bro. So he, he got played a little bit.
[00:46:29] Yeah. Yeah. It does seem a little bit like he's not beating the allegations when like his three nominees are women. Like it's, it's just, and like his alliances are men. Like, it's like, I was trying to keep an open mind about like, Hey, you know what? You never know. Da, da, da. Maybe he's not. Cause you know, he would have like conversations with at one point Lyric and Taylor and stuff about like, let's work together. So I was like, okay, maybe he's not.
[00:46:59] He's certainly working with women. Uh, he just explicitly said this week, I want to make sure a woman leaves. Yeah. It's like, I just, I don't know. It's so tough too, because it's like, when you see the gender divide in the house growing and growing and you're like, Oh my God, like my gender is like, I think that when he said that like men are disadvantaged, he just meant that they're at a numbers disadvantage.
[00:47:26] Like, I think there's a lot of people doing backflips to try to describe everything, the worst possible meaning at all times. Right. Which is like, we're, they're all people, they're all complicated. They all make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. Like we can actually look at things in context and try to figure out what's actually meant rather than just automatically jumping to worst case scenario at every single turn. Um, so like I can understand how that might be scary when he doesn't really have great
[00:47:55] relationships with all that many of the women. And he thinks, Oh my God, all the men are going home week after week after week, comma, but you cannot let that cloud your judgment when it comes to actually making decisions. Like, I feel like this happens every season as well, when there will be an alliance of women and then God forbid, one of the women has to make a strategic move that results in them targeting another woman.
[00:48:24] And suddenly that person is Satan, the devil, worst person in the world because they've betrayed this alliance for focusing on their game. And if he had been less concerned about gender politics and more concerned with what's actually going on in the house, he would have put up Barrett instead and made the right game decision. Like, it's almost like, uh, like he's kind of doing exactly what people kind of ask for,
[00:48:53] like with the women's alliance of like, Oh yeah, I have to keep all of the men regardless of who I get along with, who I'm working with and who is going to work with me. And then it's, it's still backfired. Well, it's, I mean, I think there are many things here. And one is that like, I do see people in the chat saying like, Oh, but he's out, he's aligned with Taylor and he likes Mallory. See his best friend is a woman. Uh, like, first of all that, like who you are aligning with, especially in a temporary
[00:49:22] capacity, like means nothing in this game. Like, uh, like you can align with Taylor one day. You can not align with her another day. You can align with Kamo and Bro down one day. You can align with somebody else. Another day. That's not really what we're talking about. What we're talking about is that Yash specifically has a fear, a fear of the men being targeted and, and a desire to work with bros. And that fear, that sort of like that desire, uh, allowed him to be more easily manipulated
[00:49:50] via that channel by Drew who actively said that was what he was doing. I'm going to like fake bro down with Yash because that's a weakness of his. This is relevant in the game. It's why we're talking about it. It was, it was a weakness that Drew was able to exploit to get Yash to do something that was bad for his game. Uh, and so then Yash did something that was bad for his game and his belief in Drew just
[00:50:17] because, because he shouldn't believe in Drew in any way. But all you needed to do is be like, yo, it's the bad boys left in the house. We can't lose another bro, man. Uh, like all Drew needed to do is bro down and talk about how the women were scary. And Yash was like, you're so right. I trust you so much. Uh, and so that caused Yash to make the key mistakes that he made this week. That doesn't mean that Yash's game is over or that he won't work with women moving forward.
[00:50:44] But I think it very clearly was the cause of a pretty significant fault in his game this week. Um, and boy, are the chat going to be scared when they hear about the men that are literally married to women and hate women. Like, oh my God. Right? Yeah. You can't, you can't hate women if you're married to a woman. What? No way. Uh, okay. We also have to look at last week's Lala retrospective rating.
[00:51:14] Uh, Haley's rating went down even further after hers, but Devin's went up. D's went down. Let's see where Lala landed. A 5.1. Um, so that compared to her 6.6. Lala in retrospect went down. Uh, and I think that's likely because, at least from my perspective, she didn't target the icons when she had the chance. Uh, if she had, she might've burned Devin's power that week.
[00:51:41] And then Yash could have actually struck at them this week. Instead, they have to wait another week and they've lost more numbers. Uh, Chuck at the end of the day, wasn't a number for the icons and could have been a number for them. Haley or Kamu at the end of the day is not a number for the icons right now and could have been a number for them. So instead of taking that, that shot, they've now, uh, they've now kind of missed an opportunity.
[00:52:06] Now I, you know, I'm a lot more, uh, forgiving for Lala here who actually was looking to do that, but had a genuine fear of the powers and rightfully so things could have turned out really poorly for Taylor that week if they had tried, but man, uh, there was a shot to take. Um, then we have rate production. How do we feel about production this week? 5.5 compared to last week's 4, 5.3, uh, relatively the same.
[00:52:35] We're high kind of hovering over these middling numbers here. Um, then who are you voting for to receive the time capsule power? Uh, are you, are you two endorsing anybody? No, I just feel like anyone who gets it is just going to get a punishment. So I don't really care. I'm actually a conscientious objector when it comes to public votes on big brother. So sorry.
[00:53:04] All right. Well, the audience says 70% drew 19% Taylor. This is actually in line. I was just checking. I was streaming earlier today. I was checking the BB network poll, which tends to be pretty accurate in terms of the online consensus. And drew has a pretty massive lead there as well. Um, this is surprising to me.
[00:53:31] Honestly, I feel like, uh, I saw much more of a battle between drew and Taylor. And I think that's what people have been responding to. There's such like a battle going on. Um, and you know, I, I personally don't like the battles. I don't like fan votes. This is one of the reasons why, uh, that said, um, you know, I think the way that the game is kind of moving, I'm actually like, I would not be that mad if Taylor got a power.
[00:53:58] Uh, I don't know that drew needs one right now. I feel like things are going pretty well for him. Um, but, uh, but also like at this point, it's again, as, as you mentioned, it's like, there's what, uh, four powers, three punishments left. It's a one in seven shot to even get the coin, which is the only real one that matters. Uh, and so, you know, what are you going to do? I think the main reason I've seen for drew over Taylor is that Taylor might use it to
[00:54:27] benefit Kamu, but what if Kamu leaves? You know what I mean? Exactly. What if Kamu leaves? I do also really agree with Mary's point from, I think it was Saturday when she was like, uh, I think production really wants it to end up being three powers and three punishments. So I think whoever wins this week is probably going to actually get a power. I would love, especially like, I mean, quite frankly, I don't think I, I don't want a coin
[00:54:54] at this point at all. Uh, but I would love Taylor to get like, uh, like a guest veto, um, competitor, uh, just like something to get her through the danger period. Cause I really feel like she is an extra variable, uh, in the, uh, in the sort of coming, uh, mosh pit war that I'm really interested in seeing how she maneuvers. And I hope I'm, I'm hoping that she doesn't get sniped out,
[00:55:20] uh, before that can happen. Um, but you are correct. But if drew gets the coin, then our group psychosis was just early rather than being actual psychosis. So that's kind of fun. Just wrong on the timing. In fact, it actually makes us kind of psychic. Yeah, actually it's better for us. Yeah. Maybe we'll start listening to the community.
[00:55:48] All right. Is Yash doing the right thing with the veto? No, no, no. Wow. 91%. Honestly, I would, I would love to hear from the 9% that said yes, because huh? Huh? I bet it's like 99% of people are like, they're probably just like, I don't want Haley to be saved. So I'm just going to say that he's doing the right thing.
[00:56:12] I guess. I, it's just, even if you don't know about the diamond, um, POV, it was the wrong thing to do. Hmm. Is Devin's doing the right thing with the diamond veto? Uh, this, this could have theoretically been a two part question, but, uh, I didn't, I didn't do it. So I think this one will be closer to 50, 50 because the game body people will be like, it's not as good
[00:56:38] for his game, but then the fun people will be like, but it's what I wanted. All right. Well, what does the audience say? Wow. 85%. Yeah. Some people we out here. Yeah. Listen, I agree. I think that there's been a lot of discourse about like Devin's should have saved it for himself. He shouldn't have blown up his relationships with Kamu and Yash.
[00:57:03] And I just, I genuinely disagree strategically with that perspective. Uh, at least the Kamu and Yash perspective. I don't think that Devin's has a place in this game with Kamu and Yash. I think that he is at best like fourth on their list after Taylor. Uh, and he doesn't really hold a candle to either one of them in competitions and they hold Haley as a
[00:57:28] weapon against him. Also like, it's just, that's not a tenable path for victory for Devin's and in, in almost any, uh, capacity in my opinion. Um, when it comes to saving it for himself, maybe, but you also have to remember that it's only good for another two weeks. Uh, so what happens when he wins HOH the following week and, uh, Drew wins the one after that.
[00:57:54] And it's like, well, now I, I didn't need it at all. And I lost D and now I'm stuck in a game where Angela is like my only person. And I still have to contend with FAP and Kamu still here because I didn't use it against him and like all kinds of other stuff. Like, I think there's a very real argument to say using it here makes a ton of sense for his game. Uh, saving D making the move, trying to snipe out Kamu before he can start a comp
[00:58:24] run. I, I think you can certainly make the argument to keep it in his pocket as well. But I do think that, uh, you can also make a very strong case for why this was actually quite a strong move. How, so after he used it, has there been any discussion today about like, oh, okay. The vets are so obviously working together. We have to target them. Like, I feel like there was like a brief mention of that, but I feel like it's like this, the one downside I would
[00:58:51] say, I mean, like, obviously I think that he made the right move to use it because I do think that having D in the game is so important for him that I think it's worth, you know, doing that. But at the same time, I do feel like the negative of this is that it completely outs them. Like, I mean, if there was any doubt before that they were working together, it's like, oh no, they're yeah, they're partners. And they, they are talking about it, but the people who are talking about it are Kamu on
[00:59:16] the block, Haley on the block, Yash can't compete, Taylor and Lala. And all those people were saying all of those things before he did it. Like, that's why D is on the block. That's why D was the target. That's why Barrett was the target. They wanted to weaken the icons and take out as many of them as they could. Even if Devins wasn't their direct target, he certainly would have been a backup target if they missed their shot on Barrett next week. You know what I
[00:59:43] mean? Like it, or maybe it would have been true, but like, you know, they were already looking at Devins. It was even suggested to nominate him this week. It was like thrown out there as a slight possibility. Uh, like there's just, yeah. I guess like my thought is like, wouldn't it make maybe like fab look more at them? Because I know that like Drew and Barrett obviously know that they're all working together, but
[01:00:11] I don't. And maybe they recognize like in their minds that like the icons have a thing, but they think they're kind of part of it. And like now to me, if I'm Barrett and Drew or if I'm Mallory or Melody, I would be like, Oh, okay. Like Devins use it on D did not use it on Angela. So obviously Devins and D are way closer than they are with Angela. Do I think if I'm Barrett that if I'm on the block, he's going to use it to save me? No. Like it's like
[01:00:39] you have to start thinking, Oh, this is an obvious do-up. I've been about that for a long time. Yeah. I also think that, um, I could totally see this going where people start thinking like, Oh my God, D manipulated Devins into using the diamond power of veto on her. And D is the one who's really like pulling all the strings and Devins just America's dad who's getting manipulated by the survivor winner. And like, I think Devins
[01:01:07] can go back in the pool with his flamingo floaty and like, I think he's going to be okay. And it's also, it's like, okay, people might be looking at you a little more, but there's a difference between people looking at you without being in power and people and having lost your closest ally and people looking at you while being in power, having kept your closest ally because he was already being looked at. They were already looking to target him and his allies.
[01:01:34] But if there is a negative consequence that comes out of this, like that would be it. But I do think that like, it was absolutely worth saving D in this moment. Um, yeah, I mean, no, I agree. I mean, I think the biggest negative consequence is just that he doesn't have it anymore. Yeah. True. And you know, like that is the biggest thing here. Uh, I, I just like perspective does matter. And that's why they were trying to minimize it as much as possible. And I don't think that they did
[01:02:03] it very well. Uh, I think that there were plenty of ways they could have gone about it. Uh, they tried to D tried to pretend like she didn't know it was coming. They mostly believe her for now. Um, but you know, the follow through has to be there. Um, and, uh, and I think there's a world where they play it off, but like, uh, I, I do think that they could have orchestrated this a bit better. Um, I do think that Devin's his plan of like getting himself nominated instead actually was
[01:02:31] probably a better idea in terms of, uh, perception, but at this point it is what it is. Uh, you shouldn't, if you have something like this, you should not let it burn in your pocket. Everyone dunks on Matt Hoffman for not making the move when he did, uh, because he was being looked at and he should have just pulled something off. Would people have been upset with him? Would they have been targeting him afterward? Of course, but they were targeting him anyway.
[01:02:55] Uh, which is kind of the point. Um, all right, next up, who do you want to be evicted this week? Angela Haley or Kamu? The audience says 84% Kamu. It should be higher. I thought it was gonna be more evenly split between Kamu and Haley, honestly, but wow.
[01:03:20] I think the thing is, is that because Haley is so delusional, there is still like some level of entertainment value there for some people. I've unfortunately lost that, uh, entertainment value because she went straight Karen on Friday morning. But before that, like, I was like, oh, she's delusional and she's wrong. But then it just went too far. So. Yeah.
[01:04:15] Well, those are the questions for the week. Are we ready to get into the stock watch? Yes. I mean, are people ready for the markets to crash? That's the question. Uh-oh. This is, of course, the portion of the podcast where we rate the players from one to 10 based on how well we think they are doing in the game. And criteria can be really whatever you want. I
[01:04:41] tend to look at long-term prospects, short-term safety, and how much do I agree with the decisions they made this week? And we'll see if there are any kinds of shakeups that happen here. Angela! Let's start with Angela. She got a four last week. She is on the block. Theoretically could go home, though it would seem quite unlikely at this point. Um, but here's the problem.
[01:05:07] The reason she's very unlikely to go home is because nobody's really looking at her as a threat. And that's because she's not winning comps and she has nobody that she can beat who's going to take her to the end anymore. Uh, unless maybe they're like really mad at Dee, right? Like, uh, it's just, it's not looking great for Angela on her birthday week. Um, I do think that she
[01:05:34] played this week well, though. I think that as a person on the block, she managed to navigate herself into a position where she was pretty much lock safe with or without the diamond power of Vito. Uh, it's still very good for her that Dee stays in the game, but she also remains on the block. So I am going to give her... I'm going to give her a four. Um, I was going to give her a four too, but now I'm like, wait, I gave her a three last week.
[01:06:03] So now I'm not feeling like she's doing better this week than she did last week because this week she's on the block. To be fair, I think she played better this week than she did last week. She just also happens to be on the block. Right. That's the thing is like, she's on the block. There is like always a chance she could go home. Um, I guess because last week was just so awful in regards to the vote and all that, the, like the reveal and all that stuff, that was just really bad. Um, I'm willing to go up to a four,
[01:06:29] even though she's on the block because I really, I don't think she's going to go home. Um, it would, something would have to go really wrong for her to go home. So I'll give her a four. Kirsten, what are your thoughts? I think she deserves a four, but it's her birthday. So I'm going to give her a five. Happy birthday, Angela. Wow. Wow. Five.
[01:06:55] All right. The audience, I'm going to assume they gave her a five last week. I think they're going to be down. I think they're gonna be down to a four on the block. It probably gives you on the block. No, they stayed a five. Oh, wow. Wow. Another five. Five. Who needs the soundbite? Hey, we'll just do it on our own. Uh, so Angela moves up to a five while on the block. Melissa, what are your thoughts on Barrett then?
[01:07:22] I mean, I guess it's good that Barrett's not on the block. Um, he's got, they finally got this, like, merging of the two alliances, which I think ultimately is beneficial for him. Um, but yeah, I just feel like I'm, I need, I need more. I need more. Um, this one, this one's tricky because
[01:07:52] so last week I gave him a three. Was he on the block at this time last week? Yes. Okay. So then I think because he's not on the block, I'm going to bump him up to a four. It's just, it's so difficult because I just feel like I don't, I don't have the faith that like he can make those big moves
[01:08:16] and win. Like, I think he will stay in the house. Um, because why not? But I just don't feel like I trust that he has it in him to make the cutthroat moves that he needs to make. And I'm not seeing any evidence that he has that. So at this point, yeah, a four and we'll see. All right, Kirsten. Um, I think Barrett's being majorly slept on. I do have faith in him. I think that he could do some
[01:08:43] major damage and he has been coming in second in so many competitions. I could totally see him winning an HOH imminently. And I do have faith in him to make the big moves. Um, I'm crazy. I'm giving Barrett a six, baby. Oh my goodness. And I wrote it down. I can show you my notepad. I wrote a six down hours ago that I was going to give to Barrett and I considered giving him a seven just
[01:09:08] for shouting me out on the live feeds. And I didn't because maybe I should go down because he didn't shout me out. I was like, well, if you go down, I'm switching to a 10. Yeah. And I did not get shouted out. I was like, fine, fine. Guess you don't care about the stock watch. See, this is, this is why you never try to name names. Yeah. You just say like, already JP. And then we're just like, Oh, that's so sweet. And then the second you start saying like, these guys are my favorites.
[01:09:36] Like, Hmm, I got it. The second you start naming anyone, everyone wants to be named. And then if you don't name everyone, now you've done somebody wrong. It's tough, but he's going to be in there for a while. I think he's going to probably continue with the shout outs. I think I've gotten my one and only shout out on the feeds and Melissa, I'm sure yours is coming soon. Yeah. I've gotten zero shout outs this season. I usually get at least get one. This is unacceptable.
[01:10:05] What are they doing? This is my, this is my first one ever. So I feel pretty special. It will never happen again. It will. So here's, here's the thing. I think, I think Barrett is the single biggest beneficiary of the diamond power of veto use other than of course D. Um, he was very nearly put on the block saved by his boy drew, uh, very nearly
[01:10:30] renommed saved by just the inefficiency of idea ideation from the current administration in charge of the house. Um, and, uh, and number three, he was look being looked at as a target next week. Like, like, like they just, Barrett was the guy they all wanted out. And then Devin's used the diamond
[01:10:55] power of veto. And now he gets to kind of be off the radar again, at least a little bit. Uh, so hugely, hugely big week for him, uh, on top of the fact that despite his zero comp wins, if you dive into the numbers and you look at how he's actually placed in the competitions, he's competed in, he is at
[01:11:23] least in one way of looking at it, the fourth best competitor in the house behind Haley, Kamu and Yash. Uh, and that is why, like, even though they're not looking at the numbers, they are picking this up through the intuition of noticing that he's in second place, second place, second place, second place. Um, and so what that tells me is there is a good chance that once people like Kamu are gone and we get into an end game where he's got FAP intact, he might start picking up some end game wins. And
[01:11:53] everybody that said sleepy Barrett, Bear Rat, uh, is going to be like, uh, like, oh, comp beasts, bear, bear, bear beasts, uh, go, go Barrett. Uh, and, um, and so that's definitely on the horizon, but here's what I'm going to say right now. Despite this being a very good week for him,
[01:12:15] he did nothing to earn it himself. I think that's the thing. He's better on accident than most people are on purpose. So just wait until he starts doing something on purpose. Then we'll really see a player. I believe in him. And maybe I'm wrong and maybe this will get clipped and at the end of the season or whenever he gets evicted, people like, Kirsten's an idiot. And it's like, whatever. If me being an
[01:12:40] idiot is giving someone I like on the show a six one week on the stock watch and pissing off the chat, then whatever. It could be worse. Listen, it's better. It's better to piss the chat off. It's just like being in the house. You make the big move. You know what I mean? Yeah, that's true. Be memorable. Yeah. I like it. Uh, so all that said, I actually, I can completely agree where Kirsten's coming from with the six. I do think that this was a great week for him. Um, but, uh,
[01:13:09] but I'm not going to go too much higher. I was at a three with him last week. I am going to go up to a four this week. I think that that is the floor for his current position, just because he hasn't been doing much with it. Uh, so maybe he starts doing something with it soon or his position actually starts to solidify next week. And then this rating will go up. But, uh, but for now before, all right, Kirsten, how are you feeling about D having been saved?
[01:13:38] What did the audience give to Barrett? Oh, sorry. Uh, the audience gave Barrett, I think they're going to give him a four. I'm really good. Oh my God. He doesn't know the audience at all. Another five. Where's this audience coming from? Oh my goodness. Maybe they're not as mad at me as I thought. Oh my goodness. He gave him a five. Turns out they're mad at us. Yeah. Melissa, watch out. Yeah. They're going to come for me.
[01:14:09] All right. Kirsten, what are your thoughts on D? D, I, I really struggle with D this week because D, while not the initial target of Yash, became the target through her own actions based on just being bored in the house. And so I'm really struggling with reconciling how effective she is in her conversations
[01:14:35] with how messy she is and how she really put herself in a position where if not by the grace of the diamond power of veto, she would be in a win or possibly go home situation at the blockbuster. Right. So I'm really trying to square because again, you guys get to rate them every week. This is my, my one opportunity to come in and give an assessment of how I feel about D's game.
[01:15:02] And this week I don't feel phenomenal about D's game, but given that the diamond power of veto was used on her, I think that this kind of gives her a new lease on life. I don't think she's going to learn to not be messy. I pray she doesn't learn to not be messy. But I also like, I gave Beryl a six. So I feel like I got to give D a seven.
[01:15:34] A six for D. Okay. No, I said, I said seven. I felt, I said I have to give her seven because I gave Beryl a six. Sorry. Oh, sorry. Sorry. I was mumbling. It's my fault. So D did get a seven for me last week, but an eight overall. She was saved from the block with the diamond power of veto. Obviously very good.
[01:16:01] But, but that's honestly where my praise of D is going to end this week. And the rest of it is going to be. Come on, bruh. No, stop. What are you doing? What are they doing? What is going on? Are you stupid? That's what I was talking about. D played horribly this week.
[01:16:29] Uh, especially if we're including, which I am the ill fated vote flip at the end of last week where she tried to save Haley when Haley was trying to target D and throw her under the bus. And Haley and D didn't know this because she didn't even bother to talk to Haley to understand that she wasn't worth saving in the first place, but tried to anyway with a last minute vote flip to try to exclude Yash from it. And then, and then guess what she does? Guess what she does?
[01:16:57] Because she throws the HOH and doesn't just throw it. She takes down her closest allies with her to Yash, uh, who she was warned was coming after her. Then, uh-oh, surprise Pikachu. She gets nominated and she clumsily tries to bribe her way off the block to no success. Uh, doesn't even bother to have a conversation with Kamu who she's being warned is trying
[01:17:23] to put the target on her to try to just, uh, diffuse that situation as much as possible. Uh, gets herself put on the block. Uh, and, and is there a target and is like in a spot where she has a good chance of leaving if she doesn't end up getting, you know, coup de taud off the block basically. Um, and, uh, and if not by the grace of Devins and America, she's, she's maybe gone this week.
[01:17:49] Uh, I, I'm, I'm tempted to give her an even worse rating, but I'll give her the fact that she held onto this relationship with Devins. She got him to use the diamond power of veto and she is now in a better position, but she's not getting a seven from me. She's certainly not getting a six. She's going to get not a five. She's going to get a three. Wow. Yeah.
[01:18:18] And honestly, bump mine down to a, bump mine down to a, honestly, a five. She's like, I've been convinced. I've ever knocked somebody down two rankings before. I was considering all of those things, but I think when Taryn just laid it out so succinctly, I was like, I didn't consider them enough. Uh, yeah, that's tough. I'm going to give her a four, uh, based on everything that was said.
[01:18:47] It's, uh, it was not a good week for her. And the fact that she felt like so comfortable with Yash, like, I think I'm like, okay. Like, I think I'm just gonna pretend to be nervous and things like that. It's like, okay, like, no, you don't know what's going on right now. Like you're in danger girl. So, uh, yeah, or for me. And, but I absolutely think like she has it in her to be like crazy good next week. So it's like, I don't think this is like, oh no, her game's over. I think this is just a bad week.
[01:19:17] Yeah. I think probably if you're, if you're in line to have D stock stay in line, like, I don't think this is the end. Yeah. Certainly not. She's in a much better position now, which is why I didn't give, I let me tell you, there was a time during this week that I was like, I had, I had my finger on the one trigger. Oh my goodness. But, uh, you know, she, she's in a better place now. Um, but big fall for D let's see what the audience says. Honestly, I don't even want to guess. I have no idea.
[01:19:48] It's probably a five. Yep. Yep. The six from the audience, which does end up landing her at a five. It's still a pretty significant. Five to a five. Everybody's got a five right now. We're truly resetting the game. Yeah. Let's talk about Devin's who makes the big diamond power of veto move. Um, I've already talked plenty about the move. I do think it was the play.
[01:20:16] I think there's an argument for why it wouldn't be the play, but I think I agree with the play more than I disagree with it. Uh, I think Kami was the right person to play it, uh, on to like to nominate. Uh, he takes D down. I think that makes a lot of sense. I think that he's put himself in as good a position as he could have given the circumstances, especially considering he was not going to abandon D.
[01:20:40] Um, all of that said, uh, his position is still considerably worse than it was last week and even further worse than it was the week before. Uh, like his game has deteriorated pretty significantly. He now no longer has the diamond power of veto. Uh, he's now like, you know, two weeks ago, Devin's and D were on top of the world. They were in charge of everything.
[01:21:06] Uh, they lost one half of it and then they lost the other half of it. And now instead of being like, we can maybe flick drew off of this Alliance if we want to now being like, please true. Will you take your showmance and save us please? Uh, they are now at the mercy of fat. Uh, like they have fallen so far. So I do like the move. I agree with the move.
[01:21:31] Uh, and I'm going to give him a higher rating because I liked how he played, but I'm also not forgiving him just, you know, because just because D was the orchestrator. Uh, he went along with these plans. He also tried to like what was with her trying to flip the vote. It's why they don't trust him anymore. Um, and he went with the whole D like, Oh, I'm vindictive. I'm going to pick you too. D in the HOH competition.
[01:21:59] So, uh, sorry, Devin's, but you're getting a five. Yeah. Um, I'm going to give Devin's a six. I feel like, um, I, like we said, I do think it was the right move. Um, and he needed to save D, but the fact that he doesn't have that, uh, diamond power veto anymore. That's not good for him. Um, and obviously two weeks from now it was going to go away anyway. So it's not like it's that much of a difference, but still, if he becomes in danger in the
[01:22:28] next few weeks, he could have had it. He could have used it. You know, there was a way to get out of it this week without having to use it. And I don't feel like they took any action to try and find a way without it. Um, and so I do think also we've been bumping up his score each week because we've been thinking to ourselves, okay, we, he has this diamond power to veto to pull out of his back pocket. If he needs it now, he doesn't have that anymore. So I do think we have to take that into consideration. So yeah, six for me.
[01:23:01] I need to preface what I'm about to say with this is not a carefully considered assessment based on Devin's gameplay rating, how well I think he's going to do in the game. Um, this is a thank you to Rick Devin's for giving me what I needed to see. I'm giving him a 10 baby. Oh boy. Goodness. Hold on. I'm not ready for that.
[01:23:30] I was going to play this one. Daddy wants the dub. Go back in time and unsay it. Oh boy. It's so whispery. Hold on. I was so, I was so ill prepared. Hold on. Hold on. That's our first 10 of the season. First 10 of the season. Again, it's not that I think his gameplay is a 10 or that he deserves the 10.
[01:23:58] And no chat. I'm not drunk. I'm not crazy. I like mess. And I really don't like Kamu. So it is what it is. There you go. Where would they find this girl? Shut up, Thomas. Like Devin's herself. She goes for the big move. All right. Well, quite the spectrum of ratings here for Devin's. What does the audience think? They give a 10 too. I think they might go high.
[01:24:29] I think. Yeah. Let me be bold. I think seven. Wow. You finally got one. Oh, you got one. Good job. I'm on to you now. I know I've acclimated to your thought process. I've calculated your methods, audience. I've got you hooked. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
[01:24:57] Well, we'll see how you do guessing Drew's score. Yeah. Let's just like wait a little bit on that and see if you get the others. Devin's does still move down to a seven from his eight last week. So there you go. Melissa, what are your thoughts on Drew? I mean, the fact that Drew was able to convince Yash not to put Barrett on the block, which like obviously is great for Drew's game.
[01:25:23] You've got this big group alliance forming, which is good for Drew because he wants to keep the fat people or whatever they call it together and in the house. And now it's like a reason for everyone to get along. I feel like that's a really good thing for him. And he wasn't targeted this week. I think he's probably next in line to get the power next week.
[01:25:51] I mean, although if if the past has been any indicator, you know, it's going to be he gets a punishment once again. No, I did not say the fat people. I said the fat people. Sorry, guys. Apparently I have to say that. I have to be more clear about using my P. Yeah. Come on, Melissa. It's fat. Yes. Be clear. Be clear with your faps. It's better about using my P.
[01:26:24] Anyway, I'm going to give Drew a six. Kirsten, what are your thoughts? I was just going to say is it my turn. I think that Drew has played this week so, so well. He was never going to be in danger with a Yash HOH.
[01:26:49] And he used that time having Yash's ear to actively protect one of his closest allies to really put a lot of work in to getting Kamu on the block, even though he didn't necessarily know that that's what he was doing at the time. His position, I think, greatly improves this week. And his long term prospects are also very good. I'm only giving one meme 10 this week, though, everybody. Don't be worried.
[01:27:19] But I really do think Drew deserves an eight. An eight? Yeah. I think his game was really, really good this week. I agree. I agree. I echo the similar sentiments. I gave him a seven. I think that not only did Drew play this week well, right? Like he really got up there. He manipulated Yash. He got Yash to make a suboptimal move.
[01:27:45] He was able to successfully finally turn D and Devins on Kamu, which led to Kamu going up on the block in the way that he did. He is the key part of what, again, still prevented Yash from using the veto because he thought he had Drew so much. And on top of that, this was a phenomenal week. This is a phenomenal outcome for Drew. But unlike Barrett, he like actually did stuff to earn it. And on top of it all, he's finally learning.
[01:28:14] He protected Barrett. And in his camera talk before this podcast, he said FAP before icons. He is prioritizing them. Oh, good. I didn't hear him say that. And this is exactly where he needs to be. And it was a really, really good outcome for Drew and the rest of FAP. You know, again, Barrett, I'm not really giving as much ratings credit to.
[01:28:44] But theoretically, as I said, he should be on the rise. Drew, I am going to give a boost to because he really did put in some good work this week. All right. The audience. I think they might also give Drew a seven. Oh, come on. The voice of the people once again. All right. Okay. I was close. They gave him a six. Sorry. Sorry to the listeners. I gave him a six.
[01:29:14] I mean, you got the average. You knew what his final score was going to be. True. True. Big boost for Drew here. Okay. Let's move on to Haley. Kirsten, what are your thoughts on Haley? Well, here we are. Another week in a row. Haley's on the block. She's been so hard for her. She's been having a really, really tough 42 days. You know, it's really hard for her.
[01:29:43] Yes, Haley can win competitions. Haley needs to win competitions. And even if she wins the competitions, nobody likes her. It's a one for me. A one. Sorry. I was also not prepared again. A one for Haley.
[01:30:11] You know, I'm going to have to agree this time. I still, I stand by my two last week. But this week, I think she's actively played worse. I think that she basically volunteered for the block. She offered no resistance. And then offered no campaign to be taken off the block when she absolutely should have been.
[01:30:36] She's actively played this week so terribly and allowed herself to be put in a position where Kamu or not, Diamond Power or Vito or not, she's in a do or die position to win the blockbuster if she wants to stay. And she knows it. And yet, she's still done nothing. Now, she can win this blockbuster or, you know, it's actually better for her that the Diamond Power Vito is played because now there's a good chance, even if Angela beats her, that she'll still stay.
[01:31:03] But I do think, as Melissa pointed out, if she survives this week, she might still have some runway. She might be able to, like, get back into the game. But unlike last week, where I didn't feel like she had actively made her situation worse in the same way that she was this week, I think she's actively just played this week so badly that I had to give her one. Yeah.
[01:31:26] And to be fair, when I say that she could do really well, like, I don't know if it would be, like, from her doing really well. Like, I think that she could have an opportunity to do well. But I also think that it would probably be more of a situation where it's, like, people just decide to keep her around because it's, like, well, why are we wasting this H-O-H on her? She has literally no power. Like, let's just keep her and, like, target a bigger threat. And then she kind of just, like, moves down to the end. But then what?
[01:31:54] You know, like, she wouldn't win in that situation because people would recognize that she was kind of just being dragged. But if she does stay, I would hope that maybe she could turn back on in the game. I feel like right now she feels very, like, defeated. And I think that if she just was like, okay, well, now let me just, like, turn on and lock in, she could get somewhere. But, yeah, right now I don't think that that's happening. So I'll give her one as well.
[01:32:25] I feel like she could win a competition every single week from here to the end of the season and still not win in a final two vote. And that's tough. It's possible. Yeah, I think it's possible that that could happen. What is the audience? I think the audience is likely at a two here. Yes. But it is a one overall this time for Hayley.
[01:33:16] Let's move on to Kamu. Kamu's quite an interesting one this week because he actually played the week really well. Aside from not advocating to Vito Hayley, which was very, very bad. But like not the worst thing in the world for Kamu. Like he was, it's not like the end of the world for Kamu. He played Yasha's HOH. He took a shot at the icons.
[01:33:47] Yes, he should have advocated for maybe Devins to go up on the block. He should have maybe anticipated that there was a power, maybe burn the power. He knows that there's a power and that they should burn the power, but he didn't think about doing it this week. Another thing, he overvalued his connection to Drew in the same way that Yash did. Drew was able to manipulate him in the same way that he manipulated Yash by being too bro-y. He overvalued his connection to Melody and to Mallory who both hate him and he doesn't realize it. And he again did not advocate for the Vito to be used when he should have.
[01:34:16] So there are all of the mistakes, but those should not have been game ending mistakes for specifically Kamu. He just got Diamond Power Vitoed. So I was tempted to give him as much as a four, even though he was the main target of the week.
[01:34:37] But I do think he has enough, as perhaps Chuck would say, sins to atone for that I am going to give him a three here. Yeah. It's tough because when you have a power that comes into the game like this, it's like, well, but if this power wasn't here, then he would be fine.
[01:35:04] But you have to just like, I guess, expect the unexpected or whatever. And, you know, I don't know. You can't really assume that everything's going to be fine in Big Brother and that it's going to go the way that you want it to go. So I think Kamu generally, obviously, like played this week fine and would if he were to stay. I do think him and Yash could do something together.
[01:35:32] I do think that like those are two strong competitors. And if they really lock in, they could be really dangerous. But at the same time, he could be going home this week if he doesn't win the blockbuster. So. It's very tough. I think it's fair because he didn't really do anything wrong to put himself in this situation aside from just like being a big threat.
[01:36:00] But it's so tough, though, because he might he's probably going home. I guess I'll give him a two because. And then look, if he stays great, maybe next week we'll give him a way better score. But right now, the odds of him going home are so high. It just feels like I can't really give him above a two. Kirsten.
[01:36:25] Yeah, I just think like when we know we know these power, we know the Angelo, you know, one of obviously Devin's is going to have something. And I think that if you are targeting the vets, you've got to target the vets. I think he really should have been pushing for Haley to not be on the block and for Devin's to be on the block, because I think the challenge is much like the blockbuster. You cannot let fear stop you from from targeting someone.
[01:36:53] And I think that that's something that he should have thought of 100 percent. Is he a bit twist screwed? Yes, but they do all know that the blockbuster is in the game and they do know that there's a power unaccounted for. So I think that he should have been thinking of that. And also his vibes are foul. So he's getting a one. I was prepared for it that time. All right.
[01:37:22] The audience, I assume probably around. Maybe a two. I think a two. I think a two. Four. Whoa. We are all wrong. Audience loves Kamu. There you go. I said I considered a four, two. Like I was going into this round thinking four. And then as I was like running through all of the things, I was like, oh, I think I'm being overly giving because he got twist screwed.
[01:37:50] And I'm not considering all of the mistakes he's also made with Yash. Yeah. And so I dropped it to a three. It is tough because it's like he definitely got twist screwed. And it always is like. I don't love that because I don't know, like I obviously I hate the twists and Big Brother, but it's like at this point, it's like we have to accept that it's part of the game and that's fine, I guess. But I don't like them personally.
[01:38:16] So it always makes me kind of frustrated when someone, especially someone who's like doing pretty well and is not a bad player, like gets screwed from a twist. It's not. I don't love it. All right. Well, what are your thoughts on Lala, Melissa? Oh, gosh. I don't even know. This one's this one's tough for me. I feel like about the same as I did last week with Lala.
[01:38:47] I don't really see her winning. Like, I just don't really see her winning the game. But at the same time, I don't really see a situation where she gets like first targeted. I know people are looking at her, but I don't feel like she's going to be the biggest threat to get out.
[01:39:03] I feel like people don't believe her, that she's, you know, just playing confused and that they know that Taylor is the one who I don't know. This is fair to say, but it looks that it appears as though Taylor is like controlling Lala's game. And so Taylor would be the more dangerous one and would be the first one targeted. So I guess at this point, I'll give her a four.
[01:39:33] Just keep it with my four. I feel really bad because I think that a lot of Lala's lack of possible win equity comes largely from the way a lot of the other house guests are treating her, which is very clearly not based in the game, really. So I feel like.
[01:40:01] I feel like she could be so much more dangerous, but the people don't respect her. And so then she ends up in this cycle of like, well, it's not really moving forward because they don't respect her. She I mean, she kind of targeted the vets last week. But again, the struggle with the power. I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna give her a four as well.
[01:40:26] But I just want heavy caveat that like I don't really think it's her fault that she's not getting respect in the house. And that is not fair. Yeah, I mean, I actually I like the way she's played this week. She locked in the covenant with with these new sort of power players. And I think that because of what you're saying, Kirsten, this is the kind of situation where like you're actually a little more likely to be able to turn it around.
[01:40:54] There's nothing that there are fewer things that Lala is actively doing to deserve the perception that she has. And therefore, when she does things like win a wall comp, they're able to be like, whoa, Lala. And so if she wins a couple of competitions towards the end, I think she's still got a chance, especially if she's up against people like Kamu in the final two. There's Kamu does not have a lot of love. You know, there's a world where something like that can happen.
[01:41:22] I'm also going to give her a four here. And the audience agrees with the four. It's going to be straight fours for Lala. Kirsten, how do you feel about Mallory? Hype queen. You know, she Mallory is doing also good work this week, not to the level of what Drew is doing, but like she is loved. People really like her a lot. And I think she's done a good job of even just being a distraction when she needs to be a distraction.
[01:41:52] So I think she should get a bump up to a six this week. A six. I really I'm really liking Mallory. I like how much everyone else likes Mallory. I think that she is with or without the diamond veto being played was in the best position of the house.
[01:42:15] And with the diamond power veto being played is in even better position because she is still loved by all the people on the Yash side of things and still loved by fab and still loved by the vets and still a competitor. Now, statistically, maybe not like the best competitor. She has, of course, won the pipe veto and the blockbuster.
[01:42:41] When you go through the stats in the way that I did, where it's, you know, look at how many people she's actually beaten in her placements. It's actually not as good as it as it seems. But it's still she still has that reputation. And as more people leave, she will start to win more competitions. I do believe that will be the case. I think Mallory is in a better position than even Drew at this point. And I am going to.
[01:43:10] Be a little bold. I'm going to give her an eight. Hey, OK. Oh, OK. Yeah, I think she has a lot of long term potential. Like she is suited to all of the kinds of competitions that are coming up. Oh, wow. Eight is very high. I'm going to give her a six, but I'm going to. Hope that that gets higher next week.
[01:43:38] I just hope that she increases her position and her win equity. And, you know, I just want her to win like a comp. If she could just win like HOH or something, that would be really, really great. All right. The audience gave Drew a six. Devin's a seven. Mallory is their favorite. I feel like I still feel like it'll only be a six. Yeah. Hey. All right.
[01:44:07] Then it's me for Melody. Melody also hugely beneficial week for her. She's also doing well. I think less well than Melody than Mallory, but doing well. She is a worse competitor. That's not as good. I think that she also doesn't have the respect that Mallory does. Melody is kind of like a little bit more in the Barrett side of things at the moment in terms of where her current position is. I gave her a four last week.
[01:44:36] I think that this week I have some space to give her a six. I think she's going to be sticking around for quite a while. I think this was a huge week for her. And yeah, I think. Yeah. Six. Okay. Yeah. Six for me as well. Nope. It's a five. Sorry. Well, six for me.
[01:45:07] Because I do think that she is in a better position than last week. Last week I gave her a five. So I'm going to bump it up to a six. I think that I was. So I was texting with Maggie Morgan today. I was like, do you have any hot takes to influence my stock watch ratings? And one of Maggie's hot takes was that she thinks that Melody is a lock for the final three at this point in the season. And I said, I like the take.
[01:45:36] I see where you're coming from. I don't know if I 100% agree with that. I think I'm going to stick with a five for Melody. All right. I think the audience is going to be on a five here for Melody. No. A six for Melody, too. Same rating as Mallory. Interesting. Interesting. Okay. I say interesting.
[01:46:05] It's the same thing Melissa did. Voice of the people. Voice of the people. Well, speaking of, Melissa. How do you feel about Taylor? Oh, boy. I feel like I feel less confident about her reads this week.
[01:46:30] Like, I feel like I'm like, previously I was like, well, she's a little overconfident or whatever. But I feel like, but she knows what she's like. She's got it in here. And we just need to, like, get it out there. But now I'm kind of like, I feel less confident about her. And I, yeah, I don't know.
[01:46:54] So I, I don't, but I don't think that, like, I'm too worried about her at this point. Now, you know, it's totally possible that next week she could be gone. But, yeah, I don't know. I, I, I gave her a six last week. I don't feel like that this week. I think, like, I, I, I need to go down, um, to a five and then we'll just see what happens next week.
[01:47:19] But, yeah, I feel less confident about her, about her reads, number one, and about her ability to, like, get herself out of a situation. So, yeah. It's, okay, it's tough because she kind of pushed for a lot of the things she should not have been pushing for this week. But it worked out because of the diamond power of veto.
[01:47:46] And if she had pushed for the correct calls, there was a very good chance she could have been in big trouble this week. But I don't think that she should be necessarily rewarded for not getting, I don't know. It's hard because, like, she, she does have generally good reads. I think she has so much potential. And I hope that this week will really wake her up and activate her.
[01:48:15] And as Taryn said, I think if she lasts the next, like, two to three weeks, she is in a very, very good position. But I think I have to agree with Melissa. It's a five this week. And hopefully it's going up next week. Right. For me, I think Taylor is everything I was saying about Kamu. Where, like, I think she played this week pretty well. Aside from the diamond power of veto getting played.
[01:48:40] And unlike Kamu, I think she had less skin in the game when it comes to the veto decision with Haley. Losing Haley isn't as bad for Taylor as it is for Kamu and Yash. And she's done the work to actually make sure she's got Haley in the event that she doesn't lose Haley, which I think is very good.
[01:49:03] And I really just have faith that she can maneuver her way around the, like, upcoming scenarios. I think there's a world where losing Kamu is actually a blessing in disguise for her. And there's a world where losing Haley is still also better for her. I think that Kamu and Yash will remain the bigger targets.
[01:49:28] And so, you know, I just feel like there's still space for her to move. And I think that she's going to benefit really heavily from the new structure of Mosh Pit being 4-3. And having good connections to Melody and Mallory, who both would prefer to work with Taylor and Lala than the icons. And so, I am going to give Taylor a 6.
[01:49:56] The audience, though, I think is going to agree with you. They gave her a 5. Yep. All right. Last one. Kirsten, how do you feel about Yash? Yash is one of the best liars in the game. I do think he, generally speaking, has not bad reads.
[01:50:19] But this week, he put himself in a position to be manipulated into where we are now. Where his HOH is potentially a complete and utter disaster of just not at all what he intended. Putting up Haley in the first place is such a huge mistake for him to be making. And then winning the veto and not taking her down is honestly unforgivable for me.
[01:50:48] That being said, he's still safe. I do think that his damage control this week is... He's equipped to do that. So, I'm going to give him a 4. A 4 is what I was thinking as well. I think that, you know, for as much as he got screwed by the diamond power of veto,
[01:51:16] he was going to get screwed anyway. Right? Like, if Haley didn't win the blockbuster, he was going to evict Haley on his HOH. And he knew that was coming and didn't do anything to stop it, despite winning HOH and veto in the same week, putting all this pressure and target on his back. For what? To evict Haley? That was his plan? That's what he was going to do?
[01:51:44] He was way overconfident in his connection to Drew, his connection to Mallory, his connection to Melody. And he just should not have won that veto if he didn't plan to use it on Haley and to make sure that his plan would actually go through. The diamond power of veto is just icing on that cake. It almost barely changes the actual, like, end result of this in terms of the mistakes that I think he was making. I think he can bounce back.
[01:52:13] I think he's a really good competitor, clearly. And so, I think that, you know, there is plenty of room for him to bounce back. That's why it's not a lower score. But I gave him a 7 last week because I really felt like his momentum was good. This HOH was a good one to win. If he had just played it slightly differently, he would have been in such a better position right now. But he didn't think he needed to. And he let it slip through his fingers. And so, it's got to be a 4. Yeah.
[01:52:42] 4 for me as well. This is not how I thought his HOH week was going to go. And the odds are he's going to be losing an ally this week. So, not good for him. Especially, like, not good for him because not only is he losing an ally, like you said, he's, like, getting all this heat on himself because he won both the HOH and the veto. And people are going to remember that. They're going to be like, oh, this guy's a competitor. This guy's a threat. For what, though? For no benefit to himself.
[01:53:12] Yeah. All right. I think the audience might agree with us here on the 4. No. A 5 for Yash. I think that's fair as well. Yeah. I mean, the audience tends to care less. Like, this is kind of what we're here for, right? Like, I'm giving Yash a 4 because his decisions I actively disagree with. Whereas the audience tends to rate a little more, not only conservatively in general,
[01:53:41] but also a little more purely based on positioning. Except for the comment situation, I guess. But there we go. That is the stock watch for the week. Quite an interesting set of ratings overall. I think the main headline here is that FAP is on the rise. And can they maintain that position? And for how long?
[01:54:09] Because as this podcast has been going, Dee is continuing to express discomfort with the structure of that alliance. I really don't think it's going to last more than like a single vote here. So I think we're in for quite a wild ride moving forward. Anything else to talk about before we wrap up here? That's all I got. I'm excited to see how the Diamond Power Veto gets handled on like the episode.
[01:54:37] Because, you know, as far as we can tell, there was no drama. But it's possible that maybe there was drama during the ceremony. And then by the time we got feeds, it was over. So I'm just excited to see what it looks like. 100%. It could be so good. And we just don't even know about it. So hoping for that. Just what a dream. I'll see you back on the Stockwatch in another seven years.
[01:55:07] So crazy. All right. Well, I'll of course be live tomorrow morning, 11 a.m. Eastern, to update on everything that happened today on the Big Brother 28 live feeds, including the whole Diamond Power Veto situation. And if you want to watch my reaction to when the feeds came back from the Diamond Power Veto ceremony, it's up on my Patreon. If you want to go watch it, it's a good time. And that's about it for me. Have we gotten to the point? Melissa Denny Twitch. You're not there yet. Yeah. Keep streaming. Okay. I'll keep going. But it was really fun. And I feel like Sundays might be like a good day for me to do it.
