Taran Armstrong is joined by Melissa Deni and Maggie Morgan for this Roundtable episode all about the wild week 10 in the BB28 house. They break down the unexpected eviction outcome and [β¦][00:00:14] Hello everyone and welcome to the Big Brother 28 Roundtable Podcast. I'm your host, Taran Armstrong, and we are here today to talk about everything that's been happening on the Big Brother 28 live feeds and rate the players from 1 to 10 based on how well we think they are doing in the game and talk about all kinds of other fun, interesting stuff from the survey. With me to talk about this, as always, Melissa. How you doing, Melissa?
[00:00:44] I'm doing great. I was not expecting to watch a veto competition on the feed, so that was very fun and exciting, although I didn't get to see the end because I was like, it is getting really late. I'm going to go to sleep. But I really did appreciate the fact that they gave that to us, so that was very fun. And the fact that people wanted it. They wanted it. So I'm excited to talk about everything that went down this week.
[00:01:12] Yes. And also joining us this week, it's Maggie. How you doing, Maggie? Hi. Hi, Taren. Hi, Melissa. It's always an honor to be back here on the Stockwatch. I'm thrilled. I love the season. I've been obsessed with the feeds. They're on 24-7. I thought about having them on on my TV during the podcast, but then I thought that that would be pretty distracting. So I turned off my TV. But I'm having such a great time with the season. I have so many thoughts. I feel like the field is wide open going into this double eviction.
[00:01:42] I can't wait to talk about everything. Yes. All right. Well, let's get into it then. Of course, the last time we spoke, Barrett was HOH and one of D or Devin's was definitely going home. That is crazy. I love that. I love that. Like D was able to accomplish that. It's just like that's that's the kind of big brother I love, too, where it's like the person's back is against the wall.
[00:02:09] They're like going to go home and they're able to pull something off just with their mouth, just with talking like they don't need to like win a competition or whatever. Bala used just her tongue. Well, that too, I guess. Yeah. But yeah, like it's just such it's just such great big brother.
[00:02:28] I love it. So I was really happy about that, especially because like we all kept saying, you know, like most interesting outcome would obviously be to have Angela go home just because we kind of feel like she gave us what she could this season. There's really not that much storyline left for her, whereas I feel like D and Devin both still have storyline to go. So I really was excited to see what they might do. But we had all kind of like resigned ourselves to the fact that like it was going to be Angela staying no matter what. And it was just a question of whether D or Devin's was going to be going home.
[00:02:58] So I feel like I am. If you talked to me last week, I would have been like this could never happen. So this is just very, very exciting. Yeah. Wild, wild, wild week. It has been because, of course, as we know, D or Devin's did not go home.
[00:03:17] It was do or die for Devin's in the blockbuster, but he managed to win and D managed to convince Yash and Taylor to keep her over Angela, which. Which I'm sure we'll talk about leading to an Angela eviction followed by a Yash H.O.H. He is fulfilling his bribe now. He cannot and did not nominate D or Devin's.
[00:03:46] And we never have to hear about the bribe ever again. Thank God. Thank God. I'm sure it'll come up in final two questioning, but yes, he nominated Drew Barrett and Melody. Then in a 13 hour long endurance veto competition, first of its kind as a veto on the live feeds.
[00:04:14] Drew pulled out a clutch when leading to his own safety and then a veto meeting today where he pulled himself off the block. And Taylor was the forced replacement nominee as she was the only option available to Yash that was not D or Devin's. So now Taylor, Melody and Barrett sit on the block. But as of right now, Taylor is lock safe.
[00:04:40] Now we would have said the same thing about Angela last week, so don't take anything for granted. But as of right now, she's the safe one on the block. And the primary target is very much Barrett. If he does not win the blockbuster, he's done. If he does win the blockbuster, Melody should be done. And heading into tonight's double or not tonight's Thursday night's double eviction.
[00:05:07] We have a lot of different scenarios, a lot of different targets and plenty to get into. So I'm sure we will. But Maggie, what have been your thoughts over this last week? This is big frickin brother. Am I right? Like this is so good. Like it's I mean, we get somebody like D who is a survivor winner, who is one of the biggest threats in the game that's left.
[00:05:36] She is able to convince people to keep her over Angela. Can't win a competition. Well, I should not say that. Angela can absolutely win competitions, but like not in the way that D can. Who does like really is her only ties are to D and Devin's kind of dying, like drawing dead in a final two vote. She convinces Yash and Taylor to keep her immediately going into a Yash HOH and an endurance veto.
[00:06:05] Like, are you kidding me? It's been so thrilling. And I think that the thing that excites me the most about this is even, you know, Taryn, as you're laying out these scenarios, it's like if Barrett wins the blockbuster, we're looking at Taylor or Melody going. And then like the final six is all people who have shown that they can really win competitions. Usually at this point in the game, like there's two or three people who can win competitions and the rest are like if they do, it's kind of fluky.
[00:06:35] So it all really feels wide open in a really exciting way. I can't wait to talk through everybody's scores and really look at the game from each of their individual like perceptions and the things that they need to do in order to not only get to the end, but up their win equity. Because I think right now where everything stands, so much of that can change over the next couple of weeks, just depending on what happens.
[00:07:02] Like, I know people are already talking about jury votes and people drawing dead, but do not count anyone out, I think. Like, true, except for maybe Melody. But like, do not count anybody out of a final two vote here because there's so much game still left to play. Certainly is quite a lot. And again, big double eviction coming up as well. So plenty to talk about there.
[00:07:28] And really, I think the primary focus, the thing that is occupying my brain right now, because this week is kind of such a right now foregone conclusion. It's really like, what are we looking at in the double? Because the double eviction is where things could really get spicy. Yash cannot play in the HOH. He can only play in the veto, but everybody will play in the veto.
[00:07:57] Theoretically, Yash could be in some trouble. Just a couple of hours ago, we've been expecting it, but it finally was confirmed that Dee and Devins are talking about taking the shot at Yash. Yash, especially if Barrett is the winner, or sorry, is the person that gets evicted this week. If he's not the person that gets evicted this week and instead Melody goes because Barrett wins the blockbuster, they would still target Barrett. But they didn't quite answer, like, what exact, number one, how do you get Barrett out?
[00:08:27] Number two, what happens if Barrett wins the veto? That could still lead to a Yash eviction, depending on how they set that up. And then what is Drew doing? Because Drew made a deal with Yash, and he said to the cameras the morning after that he intends to uphold it, at least for the double eviction, saying that he would put up Devins and Dee.
[00:08:49] However, he just spent this morning, 24 hours later, talking a lot about how dangerous Yash is in the game and how they need to take the shot at Yash the first chance they get. Now, obviously, he's incentivized to campaign in that way to other people, but it is a true campaign, and it's one that he's believed for a while. And so if he had the chance to take the shot at Yash, surely he would think about it.
[00:09:14] So all of that's going on, but in the meantime, Drew is still a target of Taylor and Yash. Taylor would try to target Drew, and this is the key here. If Devins and Dee say that Barrett stays in the game, put up Barrett next to Drew, and Yash wins the veto, doesn't matter who Devins and Dee want to take out.
[00:09:36] Yash and Taylor can vote out Drew over Barrett, which means Drew is in quite a lot of danger in this double eviction if Barrett wins the blockbuster, which he should be the favorite for, unless it's maybe Ropes. So that's interesting. And then third person, I think, is the person to be looking out for here in the double eviction, Devins. I think Devins is actually in quite a lot of danger in this double eviction.
[00:10:02] Certainly, if Drew is going to put up Dee and Devins on the block, that would be very dangerous for Devins. This is the reason Devins in particular, Devins should be voted out over Dee in pretty much any scenario. Yash and Taylor would vote out Devins. Barrett and Melody would vote out Devins. Doesn't matter what combination of voters there are. Doesn't matter what Drew wants. Devins will pretty much always be voted out over Dee, at least as of right now. And there are a lot of scenarios where that happens.
[00:10:30] Let's say Taylor wins and nominates Barrett and Drew because those are the two people. And she's trying to take out Drew. But uh-oh, Drew wins the veto. Devins is the replacement. Devins probably goes. They probably vote out Devins over Barrett at that point. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe even Drew, maybe Barrett goes up in the... Or sorry, maybe Devins goes up in the first place. Um, if Barrett stays and nominates Dee and Devins, same result. If Melody wins and nominates Dee and Devins, same result.
[00:10:59] Again, if Drew wins and does target them, same result. That's actually quite a lot of people who might lead to the Devins being evicted result. So, uh, interesting stuff here, Melissa. There's a lot of scenarios, but the three people I'm looking at, Devins, Drew, and Yash, I think are by far in the biggest danger here in the double. I think Yash is just like a classic double eviction target.
[00:11:26] I think that like he's this big comp threat. You can get him out real quick in the double eviction potentially. Although he's so good at competitions that he has a huge likelihood of winning the veto. So it's, it's pretty precarious. I, oh gosh, I don't even know what's going to happen. I mean, if I'm, if I'm thinking ahead, like I truly think that Yash is in like such danger. I really could see a situation where Yash goes home on Thursday night.
[00:11:55] Um, but you never know. I mean, he's, if he wasn't HOH right now, I would feel a lot less confident. I'd be like, oh, he'll probably win the HOH competition for the, uh, double eviction. So I don't know, but man, it's, there's a lot going on. It's very exciting. I also think that if we're looking at like the classic double eviction structure, we'll likely get, and I mean, I'm like really tinfoil hatting here, but we'll likely get a booth comp for that HOH.
[00:12:24] If they're going to do a big blockbuster, if it is ropes, we'll likely get a booth comp. And we've, with Yash not competing, we've shown, it's shown that Drew and Melody are pretty good at those booth comps. So if either of them are still there, I think that they have right now, in my mind, the highest likelihood of winning that HOH.
[00:12:42] And I, my thought really is Taryn, and we, we can all debate this, but with that, with the deal that Drew made with Yash, like, I kind of think for Drew's win equity, him going after the vets would be really big for him.
[00:13:00] Um, because I think that suddenly all of these people who viewed him as a bat pet, like if he's the person who gets out Devin's in the double, then he can also look at Taylor, Yash, Barrett, Melody, and say, I didn't break the ceasefire. I know they're saying to you that this is my fault. I voted out D. I put up Devin's and like, Yash broke the ceasefire because of the stupid bribe.
[00:13:25] Like, I actually really think, and I know it's, it's so hard because I'm like, well, Drew will have to win out either way. And that's why I'm kind of like, it's six in one, half a dozen in the other. But if we're looking at it from his jury perspective, I really do think that him going after D or Devin's in the double, putting them up first, then maybe if one comes down with the veto, then you backdoor Yash. I think that that is his best course of action. It, yeah, it's an interesting thought.
[00:13:54] And, and I'm inclined to agree, but, but as I think about it, I'm also like, I mean, number one, if I'm Drew, I just want, I just want Yash out. I just, I just think that my only chance of getting to the end is by winning. And I think that Yash is by far the biggest obstacle there.
[00:14:13] And then number two, I, I also think that like, for what it's worth, D and Devin's kind of are interested in voting for Drew in the final two. Yeah. Especially if he's sitting next to Melody or Taylor, uh, or even Barrett really. Uh, and I think that with them very likely comes Angela and that's already three votes. And that's always kind of been the case. It's sort of, where do you get your fourth?
[00:14:40] Um, and, and that's certainly an issue, but, um, but man, if I'm Drew, I'd rather like take my chances of getting that fourth vote by having a better shot of getting there than intent. Then like miss the potentially one shot you ever had at Yash from like final 12 to final two. So hard. It's so hard. I don't know what the answer is either. And I, I don't know what I would do in that situation.
[00:15:09] I think like when it comes Jag truly like changed my brain chemistry. I feel when it came to these, like the way that I look at big brother, like genuinely it's, if I'm somebody like me as Maggie going into the house, I'm not going to be able to win comps. Like I feel kind of bad because everybody's ragging all over melody. Like that would be me. Like, I don't think I would be good at any of these comps.
[00:15:32] So like I, from day one, if you're somebody who can't win comps, like you have to go after the comp piece. It's like you just do in order to give yourself any sort of possibility to be winning in the end game. So it is really like, and Drew was even saying it today on the feeds. He's like, I see Yash very similar to Jag where he's just immune through the end. Like you, you literally can't get rid of him because he just keeps winning. So I think that that's, it is. Yash is just so dangerous.
[00:16:02] It's, it's really hard. I don't know. I don't know what the right answer is either. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's a tough, it's a tough situation. I think for everyone. And it's, I think why a lot of people are looking and I think the thing too, is that like at the end of the day with the double eviction, if Yash wins the veto, oh, I've lost an icon now. And theoretically it could behoove Drew.
[00:16:29] And this is like one of the few scenarios where maybe D could leave if Drew did target Yash and he put Taylor on the block next to him. And then Yash wins the veto. And then Drew puts up D next to Taylor. Then D would go home. But it would require those two initial nominees. If he wanted, if he wanted Devin's out, which he doesn't, I think want Devin's out.
[00:16:52] So, but, but that would still be him taking out an icon theoretically, or he could put up D and Devin's initially. And then if Yash doesn't win the veto, you know, you backdoor Yash. The problem is it's not just Yash that doesn't need to win the veto at that point. It's also Taylor. It's also Melody and or Barrett. So it's a harder shot to take at Yash.
[00:17:15] Um, so I actually, I think I do prefer the Yash Taylor nominations because it either takes out Yash or D, which are much more, it's much more targeted for Drew. And also I think seems more like his move than nominating D and Devin's and having everyone vote out Devin's, even though everyone knew that he wanted out D. So I think, I think those have to be his initial noms, but it's not who he's talking about nominating right now. He's, I mean, at least the last we heard from him to the cameras, he was talking about nominating D and Devin's.
[00:17:44] So interesting stuff. It's so crazy to me how D and Devin's have essentially like just thrown away, like a Wigboil soldier. As much as Drew seemed, you know, like a rat or whatever, he always was going back to the vets. He always was part of them. And for whatever reason, they're just like, we don't trust him at all. He's not with us. He's a rat. Like we're going to go with these other people. It's like, he's always been on the vet side to the point where it's just been like annoying for us viewers.
[00:18:15] And I, it's just, he just, I guess he just comes off across just like so sneaky. Melissa, look at the way the audience has reacted to him all season. We're up, we're down, we're up, we're down. We love him one week. We hate him one week. Like it's what's happening in the house. Literally. It's so crazy. I wonder what he does. After this veto competition, suddenly everyone's like, you know, Drew's not that bad. After being like, Drew is the devil for three weeks.
[00:18:44] Like I just don't get it. I think it's just him, I guess. I don't get it either. But like, I think it's so funny that us outside the house are watching, like the audience are doing the exact same thing that the people in the house are doing. It's just so wild. It's like, Drew is just, he's got himself in such a bad spot because nobody trusts him. Like in the people that he thought he was working with, he's not working with.
[00:19:10] And then, you know, the people who aren't working with, like, it's just, he doesn't have a good, a good position moving forward. I really, I'm very, I'm worried about him for sure. Cause that's like, he just can't get, he can't get it in. No. So that's what we're looking at here in the double eviction. In the meantime, we are watching Barrett and Melody kind of, you know, attempt to fight for their lives. Melody was trying to get the veto used on her.
[00:19:39] Barrett is going to make an attempt to win over the icons votes, but his pitch, while not the worst in the world is likely going to fall on deaf ears. On top of the fact that, you know, like he's going to tell Yash and Taylor and has already told Drew about it. But it's just like, uh, it's not really going to work out.
[00:20:05] And, and, and I was, I was watching, I'll, this will be on the update tomorrow, but I was watching D and Devin's today do their walk back and forth in the backyard. Talking about how next week or during the double eviction, they're taking that shot at Yash. As long as Barrett's gone, they're taking that shot at Yash. And I saw the look in Devin's eye when he was like, D, you know what that means?
[00:20:31] At the final five, it'll be us two with Taylor, Melody and Drew. Like, this is it. Like he saw, he saw the yellow brick road straight to $750,000. And I don't think there's anything Barrett's going to be able to do to, to shake him out of that vision because it is quite the vision.
[00:21:00] It's, it is a pretty compelling one. It's also a great vision for Devin specifically because he'll have D, but he'll also have Drew who, if Melody's not there, Drew will take Devin's in my opinion, like that, that will be his final two person. So I, I just, I, and I agree with you, Tara.
[00:21:24] And I saw that exact same conversation and it was the exact same, like they both were like, that would mean, like they both kind of looked at each other and were like, you know what that would mean? Like that would mean we're going to win. Like they were, they were starting to count and they literally had to be like, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Barrett could win the blockbuster. And then we would have to target Barrett. And again, I, they have not figured out how to target Barrett yet.
[00:21:52] You would hope that they'd figure it out ahead of time. Uh, but because of the uncertainty of the blockbuster, they might not think it all the way through in preparation for the double eviction. Uh, so we'll see, but, uh, but yeah, interesting stuff here. And then again, it's this, this possibility. Is there a world where they vote out Taylor? They're not talking about it in this preparation that they're doing.
[00:22:21] It just doesn't make a lot of sense. There was, I think a little bit of, you know, Drew was trying to massage it in there. Like, Hey, not only is Yash so dangerous, but he's especially dangerous because you know who he's taken to the final two. Taylor. Um, and I think he's going to try to work that in and try to like, incept that into their minds. Like, Hey, maybe if we take out Taylor, then Yash is less threatening because he'll have to take one of us to the final two.
[00:22:51] And we can beat him in a final two would be the hope that they think, but I don't know that they think that. And also he has been, and I mean, I don't know if this is just him or if this is his campaigning, trying stuff, but like, he has been talking a lot about melody and how she doesn't know what's going on. And about how he knows that, like, if she's his only ally, it's not like she's winning anything. So he'll be alone.
[00:23:15] And I think that like, he is trying to incept a little bit to them too. Like Taylor is even nominally more threatening than melody is. Yeah. All right. Uh, anything else from the week we should talk about before we get into some survey results?
[00:23:36] So, um, one thing I wanted to talk about was cause when I was watching the veto competition, you know, they show the feed of like D and Taylor and melody, just like hanging out or whatever. And like eating, um, while they watch the competition. Yes. It is. Yeah. Why not use that time? Because the other people are sequestered in the competition.
[00:24:05] Why melody doesn't use that time to talk to D or to talk to Taylor or whatever and be like, look, I don't have anybody. I have, I don't have like, I don't trust, you know, Drew or whatever. I don't trust whatever. Like I want to work with you guys, like to do something to try and bond with them and create like a, a way that you can stay.
[00:24:31] I mean, like it's the perfect situation because nobody drew and Barrett are out there and Yash, they can't come in. You know, you have a situation where you can be like, you have her ears and you can just be like, look, please. Like I want to work with you guys, blah, blah, blah. I mean, melody is not, um, serious competition. It could be, it could be reasonable for D to be like, Hey, it actually makes sense. Like I could win against melody or whatever.
[00:25:00] She hasn't done anything. Like, let me use her. I just feel like it's like, instead of having that conversation, she's just sitting there eating and watching. And I know people are like, well, you know, that's like, Melanie's not doing anything, but surely there's a reason why she felt like that wouldn't work or something. I don't know. It's just, I feel like that is, that is what I would have been doing in that moment because you feel like you're, you know, at this point, like the veto is not going to you and you're going to be on the block.
[00:25:30] You need to have some votes, like find a way to get in with someone. Like you've seen that D and Devin's chair, especially D changes her loyalty all the time and creates new alliances and whatever week to week. This could be your opportunity and why not take it? I mean, first I agree. But you asked, what is the reason? I think the reason is that in her mind, she's already staying as long as Drew or Barrett don't win the veto.
[00:25:58] And if they do win the veto, she's on the block against Taylor. So making a final three with the women doesn't help her against Taylor on the block. So you could understand maybe why she's like, you know, like, I don't need to campaign to these specific people. But I, I still agree because the thing is this whole, like, I'm good anyway, because it doesn't make logical sense to vote me out over Drew or Barrett is exactly why Angela went home.
[00:26:28] She, she coasted through because she didn't think she needed to do much. Um, and that allowed, that opened the door for D to sweep in and make a move happen. Now are Drew or Barrett of the same caliber as D in terms of being able to convince the house to keep them over Melody? Probably not, but you'd maybe be surprised in terms of what, you know, the vets might do with Drew and how valuable he is to their games.
[00:26:55] I mean, it should not go unsaid that Drew winning this veto is phenomenal for Devin's and D. Uh, even if he decides to go after them, it's, it's still pretty good as long as they still take out Barrett. Uh, if Barrett also wins, that's much worse for them. But it's like, uh, it's very, very good because they could not have controlled this vote. Barrett would have stayed. Drew would have left.
[00:27:21] And Yash and Taylor would have found themselves in the middle of two pairs, uh, theoretically. And I don't know how much that would have actually held, but like, uh, but Drew staying helps them immensely, uh, in a, in a few different ways. Primarily that Taylor is fully going after Drew here. And for as much as there is a deal between Yash and Drew, you know, it's, it's, it's being held together by duct tape and hope right now. I think. Uh, so we'll see.
[00:27:50] But couldn't she not just for this week, not like, Oh, well, you know, I think I'm safe this week because it could either be Barrett or Drew going home. Like, couldn't she have made a deal for her future? I mean, she has a lot of good arguments that she could make, you know, especially with D. She could say, look, I'm not going to win. Nobody wants to vote for me. Take me to the end. She doesn't believe that though, Melissa. But say it. She doesn't. You say it. But she won't. She won't. Like, she can't fake it. That's the thing is you say what it takes. And then you say, look, Drew has burned me.
[00:28:19] I don't trust him anymore. I don't want to work with him. Barrett, he's like, you could just say he's an idiot or whatever. I don't know where I'm mad at him too for X, Y, Z reason. I don't know. And then you just say like, look, like I have nobody. I'm not going to win this game. I want to help you get to the end. I like, I want to work with you. I think that you have a really good chance of winning, blah, blah, blah. Say whatever it takes to make like an alliance, quote unquote, with D to get to the end. Like she, D doesn't want to necessarily go against Devens in the end.
[00:28:49] D doesn't necessarily want to go against like Yash. So why not be that person who steps in and says, look, I'm not going to win. Take me. I just want to be like, I want to be part of it. I want to help you win. Whatever. Like Melissa, like Miss Opportunity. One million percent. That's what she should do. But Melody is extremely emotional. She's a very emotional player. And she also like is prideful.
[00:29:15] So she would never do that to somebody like D who got out her best friend. She would never go to her and be like, I'm bad and will lose. Like she would never do that. She can barely even like admit that Drew has outplayed her. Like it's really like she's just not that player. And we'll get to her, my feelings on her when we get to the scores. But like it's just not in her. Like she can't fake it like that. She's not even like I remember when Mallory was on the block. She was like, Mallory, you have to lie. You have to say whatever.
[00:29:45] Like I have never seen Melody lie like in the house. Like it's just not the way that she plays. And I think that's the main thing here for me. Like Melody is. She would probably describe herself as too real for the game. Oh, God. Whenever anyone describes themselves as like too real, it's like never a good thing. Which is like all the way back to like Haley's HOH.
[00:30:12] Which she said to Haley's face, like, yeah, I was going to target you. She's never really done the lying thing. It's just like not in her skill set, which is quite unfortunate because that can work as long as you win a bunch of comps. If you win zero comps and lying is not in your skill set, you're Melody. And so, yeah.
[00:30:37] She has like, I said this last week on the recap episode, like the big brother gods gave her a gift, which is a man who's obsessed with her, who can win comps, who can bro down. Like, you know what I mean? Like she has Drew and she has like, there are so many people in the game who if they had somebody like Drew to work with would be able to angle him the right way. You know what I mean?
[00:31:04] Like they could have been such a duo, but she just like can't do it. She just can't bring herself to come to him hat in hand and say, you have these better relationships. Like even right now she could be saying, hey, I need the icons votes. You have a good relationship with them. You know what makes them tick. Help me. What do I need to say to Dee? What will she respond to? What will Devin's respond to? He would absolutely do that for her. Oh my gosh, you would want her to stay.
[00:31:34] But like she, she can't do it. She just can't. I will say, I think I agree with you in terms of where she is right now. I think I couldn't, I couldn't apply it to the entire season. I think that there's, it's been a very sort of back and forth thing in terms of like how bad Drew was for her game at times, how good he was for her game at other times.
[00:31:58] But, but certainly right now I think she has gotten to the point where she's less interested in like using him in the game and treating him as another player in the game and more interested in like her frustration with him personally in terms of the decisions he's making in the game. And, and that's sort of what I talked about this morning. It's just like, I think that she, she at some point in the game just stopped thinking of him as another player and started thinking of him as Drew.
[00:32:26] And it's like, he is still a player in this game that you need to think about and treat as a player in this game because, you know, you're not in a relationship with him right now. Like you can't let that guard down. And so she's, I think trying to find that balance of like, are we locked in? Are we not locked in?
[00:32:49] I'm not locked in with him, which means he's not locked in with me, but I'm not working to try to get him to lock in with me because I think he should already be locked in with me, but I'm not locked in with him. And it's like, you know, It's really fun because, you know, as, as we know on RJP, showmances sometimes turn into the schmoopy B word, boring. Um, and like something like this, something like Borgen where there's like all of this angst in this back and forth and like they, they trust each other, but they don't.
[00:33:18] And like, they're, you know, even today, like she was really, really pissed off at him earlier when he had the veto. The second that the veto was used, they're like cuddling in bed. You know, I think that it's just like, like wrestling. Basically, he was like, they're wrestling, cuddling. Like she's like, he's like stroking her hair for five full minutes. It's just essentially what I'm trying to say is she does not like playing the game with Drew. She does not like playing big brother with Drew.
[00:33:44] I think it's very hard for her to put her feelings about Drew as a person in with the fact that like he has power over her in the game. And I think that's very confusing and difficult for her, which I do have a lot of empathy for. Like that would be very confusing and difficult, but that's what makes the dynamic like really fun for us to watch all of the angst. But like, it really does seem like once Drew's power in the game kind of is gone, then she can let her guard down again. I don't know.
[00:34:12] Sorry, this image just popped into my head when you when we were talking about what they were doing. It was like two people who were trying to like hook up, but they have hockey masks and oven mitts on. They're just like, I can't actually do anything substantial, but just constantly pawing at one another. Yeah. Grabbing each other. But can't go any further. I don't like that image. Looks like a horror movie.
[00:34:41] It was kind of Melissa. You come to me on the day of being on the block, Drew. Oh, God. Oh, man. Anyway. Yeah. Yeah. It's fascinating. I will say I love watching it because at least it's like something, you know, and people really are ragging on. Like, I just ragged on Melody in terms of like her gameplay, whatever. She's giving us so much to talk about. She's become a meme. MLB is like making fun of her comp abilities and stuff like she's become such a meme.
[00:35:11] She really is giving us a lot here to talk about, which I do just want to say overall. It was very fun. Like, and that's the thing. We're at we're at final seven and we're like talking about all of these things that are still wide open and messy. And it's great. I like I said, I just love this season. All right. Well, let's get into the player rankings then. Yes. Let's get into this. Here are the player rankings. This was last week.
[00:35:40] Last week, Barrett was the number one player of the week. He had done a quite quite a large drop and then recovery from 10th to third to first. Melody, who has been mostly on top, dropped to second. Taylor, third. Yash had a big recovery a couple of weeks ago, was fourth. Devins continues a slow fall into fifth. Drew, a big drop into sixth.
[00:36:09] And D was seventh. Second to last to Angela, who was eventually evicted in eighth. But D has been hanging around the bottom last couple of weeks. So. What do we think happened this week? I have literally no idea. Oh, my God. I have no idea. I feel like I I have no I don't I don't think anyone is number one. God, maybe like Taylor's like, I don't know.
[00:36:40] Maybe Yash? Before the podcast started, sorry not to out you, Taryn. Taryn said something incredibly insightful, which is that every single person on the season has fans like every single person on the season. Pretty much at this point has a group of people really rooting for them. And like we don't get that usually. Usually, again, like I said, final seven, there's like three or four people that we think have the possibility of winning and then everyone else is just kind of there. So I really don't know. I can I can tell you who I really liked this week personally, but it's going to be very
[00:37:10] different than like everyone. Like I have no idea. I have to pass it to the voice of the people. Sorry. No, I have no clue. I honestly think like D has been most exciting to me this week. But like I feel like there's been I've seen a lot of people like dislike D and her style of gameplay or something that I don't personally get that. But I feel like she did such a good job with staying this week. Like. I mean, like. God, I don't know, but it'd be really fun if D jumped up to number one.
[00:37:39] So I think I'm going to say D, but I don't I don't know if it's actually D. Bold prediction. Will it come true from last? To first. Yep. Whoa. In fact. Wow. Good for D. I mean, that's amazing. At the end of the day. What do we always say? Like, we want to see these people have adversity. Yeah. And then overcome it. And look at what she did.
[00:38:09] Like that's it. That's how she handles adversity. Like she's she's one of the greats. I'll say it. Like she is. She's just absolutely one of the greats. Wow. That's really. I mean. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. I mean, look at this chart. It's the big dipper. She started week one, number one in week eight. She was last place in ninth. And now she's back on top. Number one. Wow.
[00:38:37] It's and this is again, like I think this has to be by far. I'll try to do some numbering on this, but it has to be by far one of the most varying seasons in terms of just player rankings and placements across the entire season in terms of like different number ones every week, people moving all the way up and down the chart from the top to the bottom to the top. And, you know, and I think that has made the online discourse.
[00:39:07] Quite inhospitable. Yeah. Um, but, uh, but also it's been quite, quite interesting in terms of, uh, in terms of like where the players are in the game and everything else. So I feel like I understand why people are like annoyed with her or whatever, but like to me, I love a selfish player who will do whatever it takes to win. Like, I love to see that. So like, this is like, this is fantastic.
[00:39:33] Like, I I'm glad she's number one because I love seeing that sort of behavior, like get rewarded and like Barrett last week, you know, he took a big swing and I feel like I liked that he went up to number one because that got rewarded. You know, it's like, I like to see, I like to see the big, the big moves, the big swings, like the do what it takes to win sort of a attitude when it comes to this game. So this is, uh, this is good to see. Yeah. I just saw somebody in the chat say, yeah, I don't like the person I'm becoming while
[00:40:02] tweeting about this. Me on blue sky every day. Yeah. Who am I? I mean, yeah. And that's the thing. Like, like we said, everybody's got shooters this season and so everyone's getting shot. Uh, and so it's been, it's been wild. Uh, but listen, here, here's what I'll say. Uh, don't use me in your arguments. I'm not on your side.
[00:40:29] I, there's not, I'm not, there's not a single person on this chart that I, I, I'm one of their shooters is I'm not on your side. Stop using me in your arguments. Period. All right. Who's up next? Oh my goodness. Oh man. Who's next? Is it maybe like Yash or Taylor? Um, I'm going to, I have to go to the voice of the people. God, I don't know.
[00:40:59] You nailed number one. Apparently that. Yeah. I thought there was no way. Um, yeah, maybe. Uh, maybe I think people like, so I think people appreciate what Yash is doing and the fact that he's like. So good at like winning all these cops and he's just like beasting it. But I do feel like people are also frustrated with the whole bribe thing, you know?
[00:41:27] Cause it's kind of like the way that he went about like, Oh, I actually only just promised Devin's verbally. And it's like, okay. And you're now going to nominate your LA because of a verbal agreement. Like, it just feels all like really dumb. Like why not just admit now? Like, look. And also like, he didn't need to win HOH. He shouldn't have won HOH this week. It just feels like it's like. The longer he waited without doing it, the more the icons would be inclined to keep him around.
[00:41:53] So it just feels like why do this right now and put yourself on our ball for the, like, okay, this is not about favorites. I don't know why I'm getting into this, but that's just like, I don't know. Uh, give us a name. Give us a name. Um, I think it's Taylor. I think people feel really, really bad about the fact that she had to go up because of this bribe on her closest allies HOH. I think that it's Taylor. I'm just going to say Yash just to do something different, but I don't know.
[00:42:21] You are both wrong. It's true. It's true. Is it Devin's? It's Devin's. Oh, wow. Yeah. Another big jump. Wow. Now only from fifth this time, but from fifth to second place, just behind D. Okay. I did get that in under the wire. I did say Devin's right before you revealed it. So I just want to like say that and be clear. Yeah. It was only like your fourth pick. It's yeah. Right.
[00:42:51] Right. But I did say it though. So I get credit for at least saying it. But anyway, uh, the icons are back on top in the favorite chart D and Devin's. I'm curious to see how far apart they are in terms of placement. If, uh, Devin's is close behind or far behind, but we'll, we'll find that out once we finish up here. Who's next? Everyone is so sickle. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. This is probably the craziest, like up and down throughout.
[00:43:21] Like normally it's like, okay, we have these people that we generally like, but they kind of like shift around. And then these people that we hate. And this season, I feel like it's, I mean, remember when Kamu like jump from the bottom to the top and then like back to, it's just, they're all over the place. Based on this. I was about to say, I don't remember that. He jumped up. He jumped up. Whatever. Um, based on this chart and this exchange, I do think number three is drew because I think people had a lot of fun watching him in the pressure cooker.
[00:43:51] I have seen so many people post that. Yeah. Barrett drew him like talking to himself. I think that people were impressed. I think people are feeling bad that he's getting blamed for everything. So I think it'll be true. You would be correct. Another big jump from six to third drew in third place. Wow. I feel like everything just flipped up upside down a little bit.
[00:44:16] We'll have to keep seeing any guesses for fourth Taylor. Now I think Taylor. I'll say Yash just to be different. To be different. It's Yash holding on to fourth place. Then probably Taylor. I bet it's Taylor then. Yeah. Then Barrett then melody. Yeah. Yeah. I think so too. And Barrett from first all the way down to sixth. Oof.
[00:44:46] And melody. Yeah. From second. Wow. All the way down to seventh. Why are people so down on melody? Is it just that they don't like that? She's not winning and also complaining about it and not doing anything like. Yeah. Or what is it? Yeah. I would say the general disdain for her position and inability to wriggle herself out of it. Because I feel like it's like she's always kind of been doing the same thing, but I think maybe it was less annoying to people when like.
[00:45:15] She really truly like what? There were more people around her where it was like, yeah, we're all frustrated and she can't do anything about it. Now it's like you're frustrated and you're not doing anything about it. And like everyone else is doing stuff. So, you know, now I'm bored. I just, I don't really know. I think there's, there's a lot, there's been a lot of complaining about Drew.
[00:45:39] I think the idea that like Barrett and melody have spent so much time complaining about Drew and blaming Drew for what happened last week when in reality it was largely the fault of Barrett. And to some degree, melody, like how that happened has really turned off. That's what I've seen has really turned off some people. But man, look at this chart. But the top three from last week flipped. Oh my God.
[00:46:04] The bottom and the bottom three from last week flipped to the top and Yash just stayed there in the middle. That is crazy. I've never seen that before on one of these charts. Truly, truly. I think one of the most wild flips in popularity in a single week I think I've ever seen on this chart. That's crazy. Sorry. We've never seen it flip like that. So what did the chat said? H-O-H cop is to not place last in the RGP ranking. Melody.
[00:46:35] If you haven't seen those memes, they're quite funny. And I do think she'll have a good sense of humor about it, I hope. All right. Let's see where they actually fell numbers wise. Okay. It was actually quite a tight top three here. D, Devins and Drew. Devins and Drew in particular were separated by not a lot of points there. And then Yash and Taylor nearly tied in the middle. Yeah.
[00:47:02] And then Barrett and then Melody much further down behind here. All right. Okay. We have some questions as well. Let's talk through some of these questions. The first, of course, we rate the episodes from one to 10 based on how well we think the episodes entertained us or were put together or whatever else.
[00:47:31] The audience has been a little up and down on the episodes, mostly high throughout most of the season. Then in week eight, the episode ranking tanked. In week nine, last week, they recovered. Week 10, historically, not a good week for episodes. The highest rated week of episodes in week 10 was Big Brother 25, which was maybe when Cameron was evicted. I would have to assume.
[00:48:01] Um, either way, the average rating for a week 10 is a 5.2. Last week for Big Brother 28 is a 5.8. This week, 5.8 again. There you go. So still above average. We got one of the higher rated week 10 episode ratings. Yeah. I mean, we got a blind side. We got like the bride being used. We got I can't remember if they did. No, because it would have been the nominations where they like exposed the bride before last week.
[00:48:31] But it was an exciting week of gameplay. Yeah, I think I think the episodes were fine. I think there was a little bit of nonsense in them. But I think a 5.8 is pretty fair overall. Yeah. Uh, next we have the feed ratings. The feed ratings. Uh, week 10. Also not great. Also for BB 25. 6.6 feed ratings. What was that week? Uh, it has to be Cam. Someone in the chat figured it out.
[00:48:59] The 2.9 was definitely zombie week. The 5.2 then was Cam's HOH. So the 6.6 has to be when Cam was evicted. Hmm. Wow. I don't remember much of Big Brother 25 after Izzy left. Yeah. So he's well. Yeah. Last week, the feeds were a 6.8, which was quite high.
[00:49:20] In fact, the highest rating for a week nine this week, 6.3, which is not quite the highest rating, but the second highest rating for a week 10. So, or sorry, yes, second highest rating for a week 10. So still quite good for this late in the season. I feel like not much happened, but we had that live veto. So I feel like that probably helped bump it up. I, yes. Uh, the live veto, I think has to, certainly has to have helped this rating.
[00:49:49] Then, the season as a whole, the big one. Uh, we had a, we've had a dip, a recovery, another dip, and a small recovery. Uh, this is where other seasons are much more competitive. This season has been a little bit down in the dumps. Uh, 6.2 last week. A 6.6. Okay, go ahead. This week. So still continuing to recover.
[00:50:13] Uh, 6.6 is not quite the highs of 24, 25, and BB 26. Um, but, uh, along the lines of BB 23 and certainly above, uh, BB 27, 22, and 21. BB 27, though, I think people were still recovering from the hamster wheel. Uh, and, um, you know, it did start to recover, but man, that season as a whole rating never fully got back to where it should have been, I think, for the end of BB 27.
[00:50:44] All right. Finally. HOA trains. Uh, this is tough. Last week, Barrett got a 7.0 edging out Corey's BB 25 7.0 to make the fourth highest HOH rating that has ever been made since we've been doing this. And, um, bit high.
[00:51:11] I think it'll be interesting to see the retrospective rating there. Yeah. That's what I was sort of oofing to. Yeah. Uh, but Yasha's HOH has some big ones to contend with. Bowie Janes. So yes, it was when she took out Cam. Uh, Turner and Monty, when they got out Michael, uh, and whoever else they got out before Michael. Um, and this week, Yasha, a 4.7.
[00:51:39] I mean, he can't really do anything like, I don't know. I'm so sorry, audience. That's crazy. Yasha literally made a final four at the start of his HOH week with Barrett, Melody, and Taylor. And guess who is on the block on his HOH week? Of course he can't do anything, but there's so, he could have played this so differently. I think that's crazy. 4.7 is way too high in my opinion. Yeah. He shouldn't have won HOH. Like, I just feel like that's such a wrong move.
[00:52:06] Um, he's vulnerable for the double. He had to nominate, like his ally ends up on the block. Like that, that it was bound to happen. I just feel like now he loses the protection of the vets because there's no reason for them to want him to stick around. Like it just, I don't think he should have won. I mean, to be fair, it's being compared to Vince's HOH week when he, uh, nominated Lauren.
[00:52:36] Oh my gosh. Uh, and MJ's HOH week when she evicted Leah. I mean, so listen, it's certainly higher than those. Vince's was a 2.0. MJ is a 1.7. So like, I, you know, there's only so much room on the scale. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe those should have been lower. Melissa, I think that, I think he had to win at some point.
[00:53:06] I don't know. I don't know. But why? Like couldn't, like, I mean, I feel like he could have just won the veto. Like, I don't know. I just feel like he didn't need to win the HOH here. I feel like it was just like wrong timing. It doesn't make any sense to me. He knew that like he would have to nominate people other than the vets. I mean, the funny thing for me is that all week I was advocating that he win this HOH because I assumed that one of D or Devin's was leaving.
[00:53:35] But the second he decides to keep D, I no longer think it's a good idea to win this HOH. The issue is that Yash completely flipped my logic. He was planning to throw all week long until he kept D, at which point he changed his mind and wanted to win, uh, which is like the opposite. We were passing ships in the night there. Um, but we do have retrospective ratings here.
[00:54:00] In hindsight, Barrett's HOH, which was a 7.0, receives a 3.3. Tough. I don't think the move itself was bad. I think just like the way that he kind of, yeah, the follow through just wasn't there. And I feel like if you are going to make a big move like that, you can't just like make a big move and then be like, okay, let the chips fall.
[00:54:25] Like you need to follow up and make sure that everything is happening the way you want it to happen. And I just feel like he didn't do that. And I feel like it's going to, it's unfortunate because I feel like the narrative moving forward is going to be like, don't make the big move. Like you're going to get out next. So you better like, you know, keep around the big threat. Like, I don't know. I just feel like it, it ends up teaching people the wrong lesson. And I don't think the lesson is don't make the big move because you'll go out next or whatever.
[00:54:53] I think the big move it's make the big move, but make sure you're like keeping your hands, you know, as the marionette person puppeteer, like you need to make sure you're doing everything at the same time. You can't just make the nominations and then take a step back and be like, look what happened. You need to like actually be on top of people. But yeah, I don't know. Yeah. And for what it's worth, while I do think that the initial rating was too high, I think
[00:55:19] it is interesting to have this on historical record that like first half of the HOA train, pretty good. Second half of the HOA train, terrible. No follow through, completely screwed it up. And now he is in quite a bad position. I do have an average of both, which does land him still in the top five of the averaged out ratings. That's only because there's not many. I think he's also top five in the retrospective ratings still at a 3.3.
[00:55:49] We haven't done it for much for very long. But but that's where Rachel really shines here, both in the retrospective and average of both with her HOA. That's the reason why we made this retrospective rating in the first place. So this will be a lot more interesting once we go through a few more seasons. All right. Finally, oh, we do have a production rating, of course. This will be interesting. They did give us live feeds for the veto. 4.5.
[00:56:19] It's not bad. It's certainly I mean, what's weird to me is that like throughout almost the entire first six weeks of the game, they had a much higher rating, even though theoretically they were doing less for us. But I think that, you know, it's still it's still, you know, up from week eight. But like, man, the medieval thing, those twists just really give a lot of bad will toward these production.
[00:56:49] All right. Is Drew doing the right thing with the veto? I kept this in because theoretically he was talking about it and people were like, oh, you should you should still keep this in. So but yeah, I mean, 98 percent say yes. He should obviously be using the veto on himself. I could theoretically have put the question. Should Yash have won the HOH? I didn't. Oh, well, who do you want to be evicted this week? Barrett, Melody or Taylor? Do you guys have any opinions? I think I think we've seen what we can see from Melody.
[00:57:18] I think I'd be much more interested in seeing Barrett's like recovery and Taylor, like seeing what she can do. I feel like we've kind of gotten what we can get out of Melody and her storyline like is kind of I get it. I think I don't care. I'm just watching the show. That's I want Barrett to stay because I'm number one.
[00:57:47] I don't like the idea that he made this big move. And now it's like, well, now he's gone. And like that's what you get for trying to go against the icons. Like, I don't like that. So I want Barrett to stay. I think Barrett is more interesting. I think that like he has more room to go. I obviously I think Taylor has room to go to. So I think Melody kind of like we've seen what we can see.
[00:58:10] I think the only way I feel satisfied if Melody stays is if like somehow Drew drags her to final two. I think that that would be fun. I would love to. I agree with you, Melissa. I want Barrett to stay just to like continue his journey. And then like Taylor, I think is not going anywhere. So I just whatever happens this week will happen. All right. Well, survey says. Oh, close vote.
[00:58:39] 40% Melody. 39% Barrett. And 21% Taylor. That's probably the closest three way vote. I think I've seen, which again, just speaks to this audience. This this this the community this season. They are so all over the place. Wow. I mean, look, I get that people are saying, you know, well, Barrett's been isolating. So like he's done, but I don't think he's done.
[00:59:09] I really think that like there's more game for him to play. I don't know. I. I'm disappointed in Melody because I really did see something in her and I felt like she could really do something. But when she didn't do anything during the veto, like I get that she's not good at competitions, but like that's why you need to use other tools at your disposal. That's why she should have been talking with D and making a deal with her and doing something
[00:59:38] because she knew I'm not getting the veto. Like I've got to do something else. There's got to be another way out of this for me. And I feel like the fact that she didn't even try makes me kind of be like, well, she doesn't want it enough and she doesn't really have the drive to win. So I'm OK with her going, unfortunately. All right. Well, let's get to the stock watch.
[01:00:04] This is, of course, the portion of the podcast where we rate the players from one to ten based on how well we think they are doing in the game. And the criteria can be can be anything. But I tend to look at long term prospects, short term safety. And how much do I agree with the decisions that they made in the week? Melissa gave Barrett a nine last week.
[01:00:33] And I don't regret it because I want to reward that. Yeah, I want to reward that sort of behavior. I liked the fact that he and first of all, when I gave that to him, he had not this whole flip thing hadn't happened. So I don't regret it because that didn't happen at the time. And I want to reward him making that sort of big, spicy move. But yeah, it's not because I truly think he's like was playing a nine game.
[01:01:02] It was more a reward. And I would say in your defense and partly in mine, I gave him a seven last week, which was boosted from the six I thought he should have because I agreed with his logic for the decisions that he was making. Um, I think a lot of the like naysayers that are like, ah, this is such a mistake. And in the people who who might have argued against this rating, even at the time, I don't
[01:01:30] think any of them were saying this is a mistake because D is going to convince Taylor and Yash to keep her over Angela. And then Yash is going to change his mind and win the HOH. And then Barrett's going to go because Drew wins the veto. Like, I don't really think that was in the cards for most people. And what was in the cards at the time was D or Devins is going to leave. Yash plans to throw the HOH.
[01:01:57] And now D or Devins are the one person competing in the HOH that would even think about targeting Barrett and likely couldn't unless Drew wins a veto. Uh, and everyone else is looking to target either Yash or the remaining icon and, you know, and Barrett could still win comps moving forward. Like it was, it was looking okay as long as Yash throws and one of D or Devins goes, which was what the trajectory was at the time that the ratings were made.
[01:02:26] So, uh, you know, obviously nine is still quite high. Uh, but, uh, but I do, obviously things change dramatically and in a way that, and maybe you are, maybe you are the one Nostradamus who is going to say, no, actually I did predict that exactly this thing would happen, or at least I predicted that something would happen. Uh, congratulations. Yay. Anyway. Anyway.
[01:02:55] Uh, things are quite bad for Barrett now. Yeah. Quite, quite bad. Quite bad. Quite bad. Uh, because all of those things happened and it's largely his fault that those things happened. If he had not isolated himself up in the HOH room, I cannot see the world where D has the space to do what she did. If Yash was hanging out with Barrett most of the time, like how could she have made that happen?
[01:03:24] If, if he had been talking with D and had that conversation where they cried together days before, could D have said to Yash, have I ever talked to Barrett since he nominated me? And he would have been like, yeah, you guys cried together. What do you mean? Like there's just so much that he could have done to prevent this from happening. And he could have still been living in that world where D was evicted on Thursday night. Yash threw the HOH.
[01:03:52] And if Yash throws the HOH, uh, I guess maybe Taylor wins this actually, to be fair. Um, but, uh, but Taylor can target Devin's and would. Uh, and so, and then you play that veto competition and Taylor's targeting Devin's or Drew. Drew wins the veto. Devin's probably goes home, you know, maybe, maybe, you know, maybe there's a world where like, because Drew wins the veto, yeah.
[01:04:21] Barrett still ends up on the block as a pawn potentially in the blockbuster against Devin's and, and Angela. And then maybe if Devin's wins the blockbuster, maybe they evict Barrett over Angela, maybe, but maybe they still feel like they need Barrett against Devin's. Like it's a whole thing, but that's like a worst, worst, worst case scenario at that point. Um, so, uh, and also actually thinking about, well, right. Cause D was maybe the closest to, so D would have been gone. Uh, Yash would have thrown. And then, yeah, probably would have been Taylor.
[01:04:50] Uh, but either way we are where we are and it's all Barrett's fault. Uh, and so he has a lot of space to be blamed here. He also then lost this veto. He isolated himself. He also like just sort of like antagonized Drew unnecessarily. Really bad. And it's just like, like, what, what are we doing here now? He has a very real chance to win this blockbuster.
[01:05:17] If he does win this blockbuster, he's still in the game. And actually probably one of the safer people, unless the icons realize that they need to change their plan and nominate Barrett against say Taylor in order to make sure that Barrett leaves. Um, which I think they will. I think they'll realize it probably, but maybe not. So who knows?
[01:05:40] Uh, the real thing for me is like, is it, is it a one for all of the bad things he did? Is it a two? I can't give him a one. Cause, cause really like it did rely on a lot of circumstances. I think that like, even if, even if it just had been like the, the Drew didn't win this veto, he still would have probably been fine. Um, so I think I will give him a two.
[01:06:11] Yeah. Two for me as well. It's so disappointing because, you know, we all were talking about like Barrett's woken up. Like he is, you know, he's not just going to be like the icons little pet and he's going to go and nominate them. And this is going to be when he like turns it on and he's going to be so good. And I feel like he, he started off very strong and he made the nominations that he needed to do. But then I just feel like he just took his foot off the gas.
[01:06:40] And I don't know, even just like run reverse. I feel like it's worse than just taking your foot off the gas. I don't really know what happened here. I feel like he should have made sure to line everyone up more than he did. I know they did the whole like ceasefire thing or whatever, but with Yasha's bribe power, I feel like there's like, you have to take that into consideration. And, or I guess he doesn't have the power, but he has, he made that bribe or whatever took that bribe. I don't know.
[01:07:10] And I feel like he could have done a bit better with the icons. Like after you make that move, I feel like he could have just been like, look guys, like this is nothing against you. Like I truly respect what you guys are doing. And I like, I've loved working with you, but I just felt like there's no way I can win with you three being a big solid unit. Like we, I had to get one of you out, like blah, blah, blah.
[01:07:36] Just trying to like, I don't know, like boost their ego a little bit and just be like more less so that they're so mad at him and more so that they're just like, look, I get it. I get why you're doing this. And then I think he should have separately gone to Devin's or whoever and been like, look, like, I really don't want you to go. I just had to nominate you. So it looked like, you know, I wasn't with you, blah, blah, blah.
[01:07:58] Like even if Devin's doesn't like fully trust you or anything, at least you're like putting in work to make it like if Devin stays, you actually would like to continue working with him, whatever. I just feel like there's so much like fake work that he could have put in that at least depending on who stayed, he could have done something. Instead, they're like, they're just mad at him. And I feel like there could have been a way to finesse this into a way that's like, look, I love you guys.
[01:08:23] But like, I just felt like I had to make this move versus like just they're mad at him. And he's just like, yeah, well, oh, well, I don't know. I just feel like there could have been there could have been something there. And I don't think that they were so anti that they would not have gone back to him. I think D is willing to flip flop every which way. I don't think that she has like any really solid loyalties. So I think that that's the exact kind of player that you could be like, look, like I want to work with you, blah, blah, blah.
[01:08:54] He didn't do it. So that's a two. Yeah. Yash and Taylor should never have felt comfortable enough to to blindside him. Right. That's that vote. But they should never have felt like that was even an option for them. What do you think, Maggie? So I was sitting here and I was going to give him a three because I do think that he had a lot of he has a huge chance of winning that blockbuster. And I do think that he'll be one of the safer people in the double.
[01:09:23] But then I remembered that he picked Yash for the veto. And at the time, I didn't like that. At the time, I was like one of the only people I was getting whacked online. But I was the only people who was like, I don't like this. I do not think he should have done this. And then everybody was like, well, because Devins came in second. They're like, Drew probably wouldn't have beaten him anyway. Like, definitely, maybe not. Devins would have come in second. But then Yash would have been on the block against him. And you know what would have wouldn't have happened? They wouldn't have flipped the vote to keep D. It would have either been D or Yash that left.
[01:09:53] And then they would still have Angela in the house who can't really win competitions the way that Yash, D and Devins can. And so unfortunately, I know that that's really hard. The crystal ball of it all. It could have really paid off. But I was not a fan of that move at the time. And I am going to have to punish him for it. So I'm going to go with the two as well. Yeah. And somebody said picking Yash for the veto got Yash on his side. Yash is still on his side.
[01:10:22] What has that done for him? Yeah. That doesn't mean. Yeah. A vote flip against him on his HOH. And he's the primary target on Yash's HOH. Like. Yeah. And he had the information he needed to know that these things were possible. Yeah. And yeah. Honestly, like last week when I gave him the seven, I think I realized after I gave him the seven, I was like, oh, he also picked Yash for the veto. But I was like too late to change my mind and my head.
[01:10:51] Because that I thought about giving a one to include that. But then I realized that I did. I did technically include it last week. But man, he should be at least one point down. I really hated that move. All right. The audience. I think the audience. They did put him second to last. I think they'll still go three. Yeah. They did. Yeah. I'm sorry, Barrett. I know. It's so sad. I feel for him. It's really emotionally difficult.
[01:11:21] Like I could see he's emotionally struggling and I really feel for him. Listen, I think he'd be happy that he had the one week. I think that he's sort of said that. And he's a fan. I think he understands that. Yeah. This is the way it goes. Totally. It's the way it goes. Melissa, how do you feel about Dee? You know what? I feel really good about Dee. I feel very impressed.
[01:11:48] I mean, I thought she was absolutely going home last week. Like for sure. I thought there's no chance. Like if she's left on the block, they're taking that shot. And they didn't. They didn't. I mean, this is the kind of this is the kind of big brother style gameplay that I love. I love to see like I want someone to have their back against the wall. I want someone to pull it out.
[01:12:18] Like it's just like it's the dance funeral type thing. It's like that's what you want to see. And maybe it wasn't so flashy or whatever as dance funeral. But like. She was like she was dead to rights. She was going home. Like, I mean, is she still here? Not only that, she's not targeted this week because of that bribe thing that she created. This whole bribe whatever. She turned a dumb power that we all thought was stupid into an extremely powerful power.
[01:12:48] I. I don't think that I honestly I don't really think she goes home in the double eviction. I mean, who knows what happens, but I really don't. I'm just very impressed. I want to reward this type of behavior. So I'm going to give her a 10. A 10. I have to do it. A 10 from Melissa. I don't do that very often. Like this is. I am so pleased and impressed.
[01:13:17] I thought I was going to come in here and I was going to be the crazy one, Melissa. And because I was like, look, going into the double, she's not lock safe. You know, there's always a chance. But if we look at the week of gameplay, like how can anyone have played that week better? She was dead to rights. She stayed against Angela. And then the bride, like you said, that she crafted all of that hard work that she like came up with that in her mind.
[01:13:47] That's been weeks and weeks and weeks. Not only did she stay in a blind side, but she got. She is lock safe right now. And she's getting Yash to target her number one foe Barrett because of a bribe that she made. Like I said, I said it before. She is a generational player. I mean, I know it feels early to say that in Big Brother. But if you count her survivor win in with this, like D is a bad bitch. She's one of the best to ever do it.
[01:14:14] If this week isn't a 10, I don't know what week is. Genuinely. Mm hmm. All right. Another 10. From Maggie. And listen, I was thinking about this. I think that, you know, and I'm thinking about the criteria. I'm thinking about like, I do think she's pretty safe in the double.
[01:14:39] I think there are a couple of scenarios where she goes, but, you know, I think her plan for the double pretty good. I think there are some holes in it. I think that her end game is pretty good, but I do worry a little bit about her jury prospects, especially if she's up against somebody like Devins. But I'm thinking about times in the past.
[01:15:07] I'm thinking about I'm thinking about Kevin Jacobs. I'm thinking about, you know, like what would I have given Dan? What would I have given Vanessa in the weeks that we remember them by? And and I regretted not giving Kevin higher ratings because it always was like, well, this was impressive now, but his future still looks so sketchy. I thought Kevin had no chance of winning. Like, no way.
[01:15:38] And like, you know, the few people that have ever really gotten tens from us are people like Tyler or Cody. People kind of like had the game locked for so far in advance. And, you know, that's just I mean. It's kind of boring. It's kind of boring if they're the only people that can get tens. Yep.
[01:16:01] So, uh, listen, it is it is a bit bumped up because of the impressiveness of what she did. But I am, in fact, going to give D the 10. 10! Oh, my God. Hey, 10. Has that ever happened? Have we ever done straight tens? I don't think so. I don't think we've ever done that.
[01:16:30] Tyler might have. Cody might have. Yeah, maybe. But I'm not sure. I just don't know how you can't. Like, if you look at it from Monday to Monday, it's insane. It's insane what she was able to do. Like, I it makes me so thrilled that like there's somebody like this on our television screen. I just I'm so impressed with her. She is I'm telling you, like she's generation like she's she's that girl.
[01:17:01] She's so good. Yeah. I can probably let me see if I can check. Let's see. BB 20. Let's check Tyler. He did get a 10 this week from rent. I did give him. Yeah, he got tens occasionally, but never never a bunch of them. And then 22.
[01:17:27] A lot of a lot of green in that season, like that week, like, oh, a lot of good players. 22 week 10. Cody got across the board. And he got the audience eight. So let's see what he gets. He gets and higher than an eight. So did the audience. Come on, guys. Come on. Give D. A nine. A nine. A seven.
[01:17:56] Haters. Haters. That's not a legitimate score, guys. I'm sorry. You guys are wrong. Like, that's just inappropriate. Talk to me the next time someone comes from back from the dead against somebody who can barely win competitions and then is locked safe on the block because of a bribe power that was useless that she made work for herself. Get out of here, audience. I'm sorry, audience. Like, this is. Can we trust you? Like, I just feel like I can't trust you anymore.
[01:18:26] Get out of here. Like, I don't. I don't know if I can trust your ratings from now on. Like, you may have just lost all credibility. Sorry, audience. Do you think they might be biased? I don't know. I think there is an anti D bias going on here. I don't know if there's some bias happening because that's because anytime somebody does something we disagree with, it means they're biased. Right. Right. Yeah. That's what it means. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. OK. Just making sure. Yeah. Yeah. For sure.
[01:18:56] All right, then. Let's move on to Devin's. Maggie, how do you feel about Devin's? Not as good. Sorry. Not as good. I think Devin's, like you said, is in a lot of danger in the double. I think that Devin's next to D is almost always going home in any scenario.
[01:19:21] I think Devin's next to pretty much anyone is going home, which means that from final seven on here or final six going into final six, he's going to have to either have him or D be winning. And he's never going to be able to see an eviction chair like on on eviction night. Um, I think that Devin's gets a lot of credit on the show for D's work of being a 10, but
[01:19:49] he would have been gone last week without the blockbuster. Um, I think Devin's is in a good spot right now, but I think Devin's chances of sitting in the final two are not as clear. Oh goodness. I'm between a five and a six.
[01:20:11] Um, but I think I'm going to go with, ah, I'm going to go with a five right now and I may move it up to a six, but I think a five is more appropriate with how much danger he's in going into the double.
[01:20:33] Yeah, I, I do think that just according to my own sort of projections of the scenarios that I'm foreseeing in the double eviction, I think that Devin's is by at least a little bit, the most likely person to leave in the double eviction. Um, especially if drew actually nominates Devin's and D, uh, with Yash still competing with Barrett
[01:21:00] potentially still also competing in Barrett, probably putting the two of them up also. And everyone always voting out Devin's over D that, that just gives so many scenarios where Devin's goes home, uh, in the double eviction. If he does manage to survive, he's still looked at by everyone is one of the biggest threats in the game. I think that Yash will target Devin's at final five, regardless of who's left in the game.
[01:21:29] Um, maybe if drew still there, it would be one of the two of them. I think that most people would still just be looking to target Devin's and here's the kicker. I think even D might be looking to target Devin's depending on how the final six plays out. Um, she certainly, I think would be thinking about it at the final four. She certainly, I don't think is looking to probably take him at the final three, depending on who else is available.
[01:21:55] So there's a lot of danger in Devin's future. Uh, and he's going to have to win, I think a lot of competitions to get himself to the end. That said, if he does get himself to the end, I think he just wins. I think he does. Um, it might be slightly tough if there's a block of Yash, Taylor, Melody Barrett who want to give it to, I, but I go, the problem is that block would only, would only be able
[01:22:25] to give it to drew over him. Um, because if it's against D, he wins. If it's against drew, does that block come together to vote for drew? And if it's not drew, if it's Taylor or Yash, then drew is, is one of those votes in the jury. And now drew is probably voting for him. And so he doesn't have that block against him. So, uh, I think he probably just wins if he makes it, but it is quite a long road to get there.
[01:22:52] Um, yeah, I, um, it is a tough one. I actually, I think I'm going to agree with your five, uh, because not only that, but like, I don't give him credit for the, for surviving. He won the blockbuster. I'll give him credit for that. But like, they were going to vote him out and he doesn't even know whether or not they were going to vote him out, uh, at this point. So, uh, I, I'm going to, I, I'm going to agree with the five here. Yeah.
[01:23:21] I feel like, well, first of all, I am glad that Devin's stayed, but that does concern me that he doesn't know that he was so close to going. And I feel like he's consistently been like pretty close to going and then not going. Um, and then he, he's none the wiser. He doesn't know that that's happening. So he can't act accordingly. Like, Oh, maybe I should do X, Y, Z because these people were going to get me out. Um, I'm worried for him for the double eviction, but he seems to do pretty well in these comps.
[01:23:51] Um, I do. However, I think that it's important to note that people are willing to vote for him. Like they see him as doing really well and that they see him as like more impressive than D and that I think is, uh, is good for him. If he can make it to the end. Like, I think for sure, like he has such a good chance of winning if he just makes it to the end.
[01:24:14] Cause I also feel like he's kept it pretty, um, like friendly and congenial and collegial or whatever, like with the other players throughout the game and hasn't really taken it to like a personal level. And I think I could see a lot of people being like, look, like he'd be a good representative of our season. You know, we get to the end. Let's say for example, it's Devin's versus D like I could see people being hurt by D or being like, I don't want her to represent the season.
[01:24:43] Someone like Devin who, you know, he's like this nice guy or whatever. Like I could see us wanting to vote for him because we want that as representation. We don't want to reward behavior that like, you know, was mean or whatever. So I think that he has a very good chance if he can just make it to the end. And so for me, because of that, um, I am going to give him a six. Um, but we'll see. I mean, he could go out in the double. So who knows?
[01:25:13] I would also like to say, cause I was thinking about this. Um, if not for the bribe this week, Yash would be targeting Devin's. Like I firmly believe this. He, he does not want, he wants to rock with Barrett and Melody over Devin's and D. Um, and I think that if not for the bribe preventing him from nominating Devin's, he would be not, he would have nominated Devin's as the replacement, obviously instead of Taylor.
[01:25:41] And if Devin stayed on the block, I do believe that Devin's would have gone home there. Uh, which means even though it's, it doesn't feel as direct that like D's bribe has now officially saved Devin's in the same way, or at least a very similar way that Devin's is diamond power Vito saved D. And this is D's bribe that she came up with the idea to use.
[01:26:10] In fact, he wanted her to waste it on him and she had to tell him no, and then came up with the idea on her own. Um, and very much has now saved Devin's in the same, again, in a very similar way that she was saved. Like, that's so awesome. And you know, even if D turns on him, whatever, like they really are going to go. And you can say they're survivors. They came in together. They were given these powers, whatever.
[01:26:36] Like there's such a dynamic duo here in this season of big brother. Like, like you just said, Taryn, they were gifted these powers by production, by the audience, whatever you want to say. And they really maximized them. They came together to maximize their joint slay as you will. And that's so awesome. Like what a cool thing. I don't know. All right.
[01:27:05] Well, what does the audience think? I think they're going to be higher on Devin's. Maybe, maybe along the lines of Melissa's six, but that would be why six for Devin's and a seven from, for D would be kind of wild. But what do they think? It is a six. Yeah, that's crazy. Also, I do want to say, I, I'm not going to change my score because I think my five still stands. But the way he's fumbled Drew is wild. Like I, why would you tell him you were going to vote him out? Why would you say still you would vote him out?
[01:27:35] Like, just lie. You know, like you don't have to tell him that. Just lie. I, it's, I'm not loving that either. That level of just like completely shunning both Barrett and Drew. Yes, I will. I will say today he seems to be changing his tune a little bit. He told Drew that he was rooting for him to win the veto, which is not taking back saying that he would have voted him out.
[01:28:01] But he's starting to work, Drew, work back in with Drew now, now that they've sort of changed their minds and they want to work with Drew. But the point still stands. He also, though, like in that conversation, Drew was like, well, you guys would have voted to keep me, right? And both D and Devin's were silent staring at him. And then he recounted that later to Melody and was like, yeah. And then they just stared at me and it was really awkward. Like, so I, I'm, I hear what you're saying. And I do think by Thursday they'll be walking it back and maybe have changed their tune.
[01:28:29] But like, Drew won't forget that. Drew has not forgotten that Barrett wanted to vote him out and that Melody wanted to vote him out. Yes. I just wanted to make sure I said it because somebody else would have been mad if I didn't. Appreciate you, Taryn. Yes. Let's then talk about Drew. Drew, man.
[01:28:55] I think Drew is the second most likely person to leave in the double eviction by a little bit. And by a little, I'm not saying a little bit in that way where you mean a little bit as in a lot. I mean, a little bit as an act, an actual little bit, which is not great for Drew, but an impressive veto win. And I think mostly skyrocketing jury chances.
[01:29:25] I mean, on one hand, Barrett and Melody are talking about how they vote for almost anybody other than Drew in the final two. But on the other hand, Devin's and Dee are talking about how they would vote for Drew over almost anybody in the final two. And I quite frankly think that Dee and Devin's jury votes are more valuable than Barrett's and Melody's, primarily because with them also comes Angela, very likely.
[01:29:55] And also, we have, I think my mic is fine because the chat's not saying anything. Is it? It's good. It's good. So either way, I think that things are looking interesting for Drew. His path to the end is still a little strange. In some ways, it might be better for him if Barrett stays.
[01:30:26] But in other ways, it's better for him if Barrett goes. At the end of the day, he just needs to win. And so the more, you know, the more competitors leave, probably the better as long as he's also able to get Yash out. His competitors leaving also benefits Yash. And so it's really tough to figure out exactly where he stands in terms of like long-term prospects. Now, short term, I like what he's doing this week. I actually really like what he's doing this week.
[01:30:56] I like how he won the veto competition. It was impressive work. I like how he is approaching the icons. They are really loving him right now. And, you know, I think that he's setting himself up as well as he can with this deal with Yash. Now, they said they would not be checking in because they didn't want to give anything away. I think they need to check in. I do think that they should. I think that if they don't check in, they will slowly revert back to the mean.
[01:31:25] And by that, I mean being mean to each other. And so I will see where all of that goes. But I do like all of that stuff. He is staying. He is going to be guaranteed in the final six. It's just a matter of like who is taking him anywhere at this point. And the answer to that is like pretty much nobody, which is unfortunate for Drew. Drew.
[01:31:57] So I think I'm going to give him just because I like his performance this week as opposed to somebody like Devin's performance this week. I'm going to give him a six over Devin's is five. I think Devin's is more likely to leave in the double. And I like how Drew has handled this week more than I like how Devin's has. This one's kind of tricky for me because I just feel like I don't really know where he fits in.
[01:32:26] I just don't I don't know how he wins. I don't know who he goes with. I don't know who he's working with. I just feel like I don't really know what he's doing. I don't I feel like everyone always just like thinks that he's lying to them or like he can't get it in with anyone for whatever reason. And yes, you know, he's working with certain people at certain times, but I just feel like they always end up not trusting him for whatever reason.
[01:32:50] And so I'm I'm certainly worried for him, especially because I do think that now that he's won. First of all, I thought it was great that he won this veto. But I also think that now that he won this veto, people are gonna be like, oh, he's a big threat competition wise. And if there's a situation where they can't get rid of Yash, like who else is a big comp threat? Maybe Drew. I don't know. So I don't know. I'm I'm I'm worried for him moving forward.
[01:33:18] I think like I have to I think I'm the reverse and I think I'm going to give him a five. Yeah, I am really surprised with the six. Actually, I hear what you say, Taryn, about like his performance this week being really good. It was he played everything honestly perfectly. Um, but him losing Barrett or Melody this week is really not good for him.
[01:33:46] The problem is that Drew just has to win out. And like if like Barrett needs to stay for Drew because Melody has shown that she can't win. There's like memes all about it online. So like he can't rely on Melody to protect him. Um, and I think that like, again, if the ideal final five is D Devin. And the ideal final five for the icons is D Devin's Drew, Melody and Taylor.
[01:34:14] Why would they not try and cut Drew at five? Oh, they will. Certainly. Exactly. So I. I. Ideally, one of them is one of the final six HOH. And so it's theoretically four V one in that final five HOH. Sure. But again, like I, but I'm not convinced Yash doesn't, you know, like if Yash goes in the double, but like Yash could easily stay. And then Yash is after Drew and Yash is really tough competition.
[01:34:42] I have played out like all of Drew's scenarios this week. And I just think like up until this point, he's always said, I'd rather be lucky than good. And I think for him to get to where he needs to go, he's going to need to continue on that trajectory. And he's already been real lucky. Um, so I'm going to have to give him a four. A four varied opinions on drew. Quite interesting.
[01:35:08] The audience, the audience usually splits the middle here when something like this happens, but they are high on drew. They gave him a five. They did split the middle. There you go. Uh, I do think this is going to be an interesting week. Uh, I think one of the reasons why there was room to give D such a high rating is because I think she's pretty safe in the double eviction and the other people who are in the are the like most likely, like the, the contenders to win the game.
[01:35:33] Devins true and Yash are all the also most likely people to leave in the double. Uh, so their ratings, I think are going to be muted to some degree. Uh, although some may disagree that drew is one of the people that I think is more likely to win the game at this point. We'll see. My Melissa, how do you feel about melody? Oh, I don't feel great about melody. I know I keep harping on it, but I just feel like it's like that was the perfect opportunity for her to do something and for her to really like shine.
[01:36:01] And I feel like she just like, isn't taking these opportunities when they arise. I don't really see her trying to like work with anybody. Um, other than kind of just like who she, she picks like one person each week or whatever, or two people. And she just kind of like works with them and talks with them and doesn't go outside of that circle. And I feel like you really need to go outside of that circle. And even if she does make it to the end, like, are people going to vote for her to win? Like, I don't know.
[01:36:29] I mean, I could see a scenario where she stays this week though, because you know, if Barrett is on the block at the end of the week and it's him versus her, like he's going to go. Um, which is unfortunate because I think that, yeah, like we said, I think he has more to offer. I'm, I really truly thought melody would play more of a role this season, but I do feel like she kind of just feels like she doesn't feel like she has an in. And so she's just kind of like, I'm just going to like go along.
[01:36:59] I don't know. I'm yeah. I'm not loving her position or, or her wing when equity whatsoever. I just don't think anyone's going to want to vote for her to win. I mean, like, even if she sits versus any of these people, I don't see them voting for her to win. Cause I don't think that she, I don't think they'll think that she's done anything. So for me, I'm going to have to give a two because I honestly think that she'll probably stay this week, but it's just, yeah. I don't know.
[01:37:31] Yeah. I don't want to seem like I'm picking on her. Um, but she's just not, I, I think, uh, as Taryn said, she would say she's too real, uh, to play big brother. I would say, uh, the pull point of big brother is to fake it till you make it. And she can't fake it.
[01:37:58] And, uh, she doesn't, has not shown any sort of ability to win comps. Um, nobody respects her game in the house. Even Yash and Taylor at the beginning of the week were saying she's a coaster. Like she hasn't done anything. Um, Devin's today was talking a ton of crap about her saying that she couldn't even come out to congratulate her closest ally when he won the veto. Um, like, I just think, I think that if she's in the end, the only person who votes for her is Barrett.
[01:38:26] Like, I don't even think she would get a vote from Drew, especially if she's against someone like Yash or one of the icons. Um, she doesn't have any win equity right now. In my opinion, there is still a shot that she goes home next to Taylor, which is crazy. She should, there should be no world where she goes home. As we're saying people in the house, nobody respects her. She would absolutely be a lock safe jury. Like you would beat her in the final two scenario.
[01:38:52] Um, I'm not going to give her a one because I think a one is punishment for sins. Uh, I reserve that spot for if somebody were to throw or something like that, but I am going to give her a two and just say like, girl, let's step it up. Let's step it up. I look forward to being wrong, right? I hope that in three weeks time, I look back at this podcast. I'm like, Oh my God, how wrong was I? Look at she turned it on and she did so great. And she did blah, blah, blah.
[01:39:19] But to be clear, to be clear, at least half of the purpose of this podcast is for us to be wrong. I just want everyone to know this. It's so much more fun when last week, Melissa has a nine next to Barrett, uh, because there's contrast. It'd be so much less interesting if we were all just like, so like, you know, Oh, well we have to always play color in the lines. Like, uh, we're here to be wrong.
[01:39:47] Sure that like, I mean like, yeah, if we, if we played it safe by like every single week, we'd be like, okay, everyone gets a five because really, truly it could go either way. And then, and then enough, then there's nothing like this is like giving a D a 10. And then next week we give her a one, like that'd be, that'd be very fun and interesting to be, that's the podcast doing it right. Yeah. To be fair. Also, like I love being wrong when it comes to big brother. Cause usually I'm wrong in the way where I'm like super pissed off and underestimating someone. And I'm like, screw this person.
[01:40:15] They suck, get them out of the house. And then they totally proved me wrong. Like, I think the best example of that is I think I was on the round table talking about how disappointed I was in Morgan feeling like she was playing for the guys in the house. And then like, look, I could not have been more wrong. Like it was amazing. Um, so I love being wrong. I hope I'm wrong. Like Terrence had the point is to be wrong, but as of right now, it's really looking rough for Melody. Yeah. I'm going to be over two as well. Uh, but here's my caveat on that.
[01:40:42] Uh, this time next week, if she is even still in the house, there will have been a whole double eviction and the final five HOH and the final five veto. If she has not won any of the competitions in between now the blockbuster, uh, double eviction, HOH, double eviction, veto final five HOH, final five veto, and has not otherwise done
[01:41:10] any other significant game move. She's just going to be a flat one, regardless of what she's doing for me. She just won't have any win equity. And I don't think enough competitions exist left in the game for her to get that win equity. So, uh, she's on warning. She's on probation here. That's funny. How does the audience feel? They gave her a two as well. All right. Straight twos.
[01:41:40] Nice. For Melody. All right. Uh, Maggie, how do you feel about Taylor? Okay. Um, so I think that people are super wrong when they say Taylor and Melody are like the same, like they are not the same at all to me, like at all. Um, Taylor has a lot of friends in the jury. A lot of people who like I'm saying in the jury, there's only two people in the jury, but Lala will be there able to like properly speak about what she's doing.
[01:42:09] Yash, if Yash is sent to the jury, he will be able to talk about what Taylor is doing. Taylor's a really good game sense. Taylor knows what's up. She's able to direct. Like, I think the biggest difference between Taylor and Melody is like, yeah, Taylor can't win competitions, but she is strategizing with her alliance partners. They are listening to what she's saying. She is pointing them in the direction and telling them to shoot. You know what I mean? Like she is doing everything. Like she is pulling the strings for, she has been all season for a lot of her alliance
[01:42:38] partners. Um, and she, she very clearly sees the game and what's going on. She knows that drew is a really big obstacle for her specifically to get to the end. That's why she's so laser focused on him. I think D is absolutely priming her to be her final two. Like, I think a lot of people see her as an easy beat in the final two. And I don't know if that's necessarily the right move for somebody like D.
[01:43:03] Um, she's pretty much locked safe this week against Melody and Barrett. And I don't know if she should be like, I think that D can get the same value out of Taylor that she's get her out of Melody that she thinks that she can get out of Taylor with no risk because like we said, Melody is on one watch. And I don't think Taylor's even close to being on one watch.
[01:43:28] Um, I think that if Taylor can pull out a couple competitions at the end, she is an end game threat, especially if she's against somebody like D somebody like drew people who won't have a lot of fans in the jury, piss a lot of people off. You can somebody like bear it. Um, I, again, she's on the block, so it's hard and she's on the block and the icons are controlling the boats.
[01:43:57] Um, but I, I'm going to give her right now a very high three because she's on the block and there's a chance she can go home. Um, but I think that that, this is a good buy. I think this is a good investment this week. Uh, I think her win equity would only go up and I think that like the people in the house who are underestimating her should, she should beware honestly. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:44:27] It's, um, it's interesting with Taylor. Uh, I think I agree. I agree with everything you said, uh, is largely what I was going to say about win equity. I do think that she actually has a lot more win equity than a lot of people in the house realize, uh, even against somebody like D, um, because I, I do think there's a decent chance she would get Barrett and Melody and Yash, uh, and like all of a sudden you only need
[01:44:56] Lala and she gets Lala and all of a sudden, yeah, sorry. I should have kind of Lala before, probably maybe before Barrett, maybe before Barrett, maybe before Yash, but like it, like she actually could win against D and like who else is D taking to the end? Especially if Melody goes this week. Cause like there's a world where you say Melody leaving is terrible for Taylor. Because Melody is the only person she beats, but I actually don't know that that's true.
[01:45:21] Um, and so if D is looking to cut Devon's and take an easy win and that easy win is Taylor and she finds out, uh, Oh, Melody and Barrett aren't voting the way I would like. That could be quite a result there. Um, so I don't think people should negate that possibility. Um, I still don't love taking out Angela over D, but I do think it's less bad for Taylor than it is for Yash because Taylor's not playing the comp out game.
[01:45:51] Um, and again, I don't think that Taylor's as reliant on Angela as people might think in terms of final two. So, uh, some interesting things there. She is on the block, but, uh, I think I'm, I'm willing to go as high as a four here for Taylor. Cause I really don't think she's leaving at this point. Yeah. Um, I think, I think that's totally right. I think that I, I don't really see people coming after her.
[01:46:17] And I think that that's like the key is that I don't even think people are like, well, you know, for Melody, it's like, Oh, well maybe they're not like targeting Melody because they think she's a big threat, but they might vote her out because they see her as a trio with Barrett and Drew. So they're like, well, what to get at Drew and Barrett, we're going to get out Melody. Like, I don't really see them doing that with Yash just quite yet. Um, obviously as it narrows down, they'll probably look to her, but I think there are bigger fish to fry.
[01:46:47] And I think people know that, um, I mean, for example, like even if it came down to like, okay, we want to get Taylor or one of Taylor or Yash out and then Yash wins the veto. And then like someone else gets put up on the block, like Devin's or something. Like I could see a situation where people are like, well, do we go after Yash by taking out Taylor or do we just get Devin's right now? Like, I don't know if people will think to take the shot at Taylor and the longer she stays
[01:47:14] in the house, the more likely it is that she wins a competition because we've seen that she has come very close in competitions. Um, and I think like you guys said, she has a lot of jury potential. I think people want to are willing and want to vote for her in the end, if she can get there. Um, so yeah, I don't, I, I think I'm willing to give her a four. I think we'll see what happens, but you know, it just seems like she has, she has a chance.
[01:47:43] Every time I think I got a hot take. Sorry. Me coming in thinking giving D a 10 was going to break the stock. You just have to assume that you, no one has original takes like everyone's takes are everyone else's takes and we're all just going to be boring. We all know too much. Yeah. We're all just too good at this. Well, what does the audience think it's a hot take? They gave Taylor a four.
[01:48:13] Yeah. All right. No hot takes here. There you go. Uh, all right. Finally. Also, I just want to say it's so funny that the audience gave Taylor a four when everyone in the chat is like a three, a four. She's at least a seven or a six. She's going to win this thing for sure. Oh my God. It's like everyone, you had the chance to vote. Everyone else is four. Yes. Everyone's mad at us because we're saying we're rating her too low or that we're biased
[01:48:39] because we were giving melody and Taylor similar scores, which I don't see that is giving them similar scores. I think a two is very different than a four and Taylor's on the block. So it's hard for us to be like, Oh, she can win this thing. If she wasn't on the block right now, I think I would be giving a very different rating, but she's on the block. She could go. This is so, it's such a funny because I, I swear I was seeing people saying that we were too high on. Oh my God. I don't even know. So like people are saying that we're lumping her in with that.
[01:49:08] Like the first thing I said is like, they are not similar. They are not. They, they both like people think that they're in the same position, but they're not the way things go. All right. Let's talk about Yash. Let's talk about Yash. Uh, I think he made a bad decision by keeping D. I think that decision is already coming back to bite him. The fact that D and Devins are talking about taking the shot at Yash in the double eviction.
[01:49:34] If this were Angela and Devins talking about taking a shot at Yash in the double eviction, even if Angela was doing the same thing, which she might not have been, it's still Angela and Devins coming after you in the double eviction and not D and Devins coming after you in the double eviction, which is considerably different. In addition to that, he'd be competing in the veto against D or sorry, against Angela and not D, which I would much prefer. D is coming in second place in a lot of these competitions or winning some of them.
[01:50:04] D is one of the few people that has beaten Yash in a competition that he was trying to win when he wasn't sick. Uh, and so, you know, I don't love that for Yash. I think that was a poor decision. He then won this HOH. He left himself vulnerable in the double eviction, but, but I want to make clear that for as much as I'm like, I don't like this decision. I don't like winning the HOH. He's vulnerable in the double eviction. I still have him as only the third most likely person to leave in the double eviction.
[01:50:33] And that's largely because I think he's the most likely person to win the veto, but also because it's not every scenario that he even gets targeted. Uh, and so, you know, I'm talking about these faults largely because Yash is just the front runner. He still is even with these mistakes, even with the double eviction, he is still the front runner. He is still so likely to win this game because it's going to be so hard to take him out of it. He has to lose and he hasn't really lost much.
[01:51:03] Uh, and so that's a huge angle to this. Uh, now how much do you punish him for the decisions he made and the unnecessary risk he's introduced himself to? That's, that's another question. It's one that I'm, I'm grappling with. Uh, but at the end of the day, I still just think he is so much more likely to win this game than somebody like drew that I have to give him at least a seven, but it should be higher. It should be higher.
[01:51:33] I'm just, I just feel like he made such bad decisions this week. I think the keeping D was really bad for him because like if he's in a scenario where everybody else who can like win comps are gone, he's golden. And I feel like he kept D D can win comps. Angela can't really win comps. I think he should have gotten D out. I don't think he should have won HOH because him staying, uh, or him having that to hold
[01:52:00] over the icons heads, make them want to keep him around more than they should because they, he can't put them on the block. So I absolutely think that he should have used that situation to not win HOH, get maybe another icon out and then maybe keep around the one remaining icon. Like, okay, cool. But I think that like, there's so much. And then the fact that he won HOH when he really, he honestly, he didn't need to, like he had a lot of people working for him and not necessarily wanting to get him out.
[01:52:29] I think people would have been willing to target another icon this week. Um, if he hadn't won and Taylor was close to winning. So I feel like it's like she could have just won, taken a shot at the remaining icon and it just would have been so much better for him. And now he's going into the double eviction and he can't play HOH. Like that's one less chance to save yourself. And yes. Okay. He probably will win the veto. Okay. Yeah, sure.
[01:52:55] But it's just like, I can't, I don't feel like I can give him a high score just because he's really good at comps. Like he's not doing the strategy part that we need to see. It's just like, he's making these decisions that are not good for his game. And then just miraculously he wins a comp. So it actually doesn't really matter. And I don't feel like I can give him such a good score when he's doing all these things that I'm like, why are you doing this? And any other player would have gotten in trouble for doing these things, but he's not because he's winning comps.
[01:53:25] I don't know. I just feel like because he's winning these comps, I have to like, obviously bump up his score because it's like, he's winning comps. He's, if he gets to the end, I could see him winning. I'm for sure. Like, I mean, the people want to vote for him. They like his game. They feel impressed by him. So there's that. I have to give that to him, but I am certainly disappointed in the decisions he's been making this week.
[01:53:52] So I am going to give him a six, but you know, we'll, we'll see. We'll see. Yeah. Um, I'm going to give him a six as well. Um, I think that he should definitely be punished for keeping D. I think that that was the complete incorrect decision for him. Um, I am going to bump him up over the fact that he seems to have the plague and stood for almost 13 hours.
[01:54:22] Like he is a competition beast. Um, I like the deal that he made with drew that it seems like drew may stick with. Um, I have a ton of belief in his comp ability. And like I said, I am, I'm scarred from Jag. And, uh, the thing is like, gosh, it was a pretty good social game. People like him.
[01:54:48] Like he has even people like drew who might not target him in the double, like the icons who are planning on it, but two days ago weren't planning on it. And like, there's still wiggle where, you know, like I, people really like Yash. Like Melissa said, like people want to vote for him. If he's there, he's winning. Um, so I'm giving him a six and, uh, we'll see. We will see. Uh, all right. Well, the audience says a six. There you go.
[01:55:19] There you go. Um, yeah, it's, it is an interesting one. I, again, I feel like the rating feels wrong to me. I mean, I am a little higher, I guess. Uh, just because I do so heavily disagree with this is, but last week I gave him a nine because I think his position is so strong, uh, that I am dropping him relatively significantly this week.
[01:55:42] Uh, even though he is theoretically one more round closer to the end, uh, which is like every round he survives is like significant for somebody like Yash. Um, so yeah, go ahead. I do want to say, and this has nothing to do with this gameplay. Yash is so good on the TV show. Yash's DRs are so good. Like he's fantastic on the show. I think people are really enjoying rooting for him.
[01:56:09] Like my friends, some of my friends who are like lean a little more casual, really, really like him on the show. Like I, I think if Yash wins this season, I will not feel the way that I felt when Jag won, um, at all because Yash got screwed over by two twists and still managed to work his way to the end and make deals. Um, I, I think he, and he never got voted out.
[01:56:34] Um, but like, I think, yeah, uh, I stay on Jag's neck, you know, I, I will not forget. Um, but I, I just like wanted to say that cause I feel like we didn't talk about it and like the likability, like Yash is so good on the show. Yeah. I mean, by the end of 25, I was given Jag a seven, you know what I mean? Like, uh, and Jag, I think I had a lot less reason to believe would win a jury vote than
[01:57:03] I think Yash, uh, I think Yash will is, is in a much better position from what we've seen at least, uh, to win a jury vote. Um, but at the end of the day, it's like, you just can't underestimate cause it's, it's not just Jag. Obviously Jag is like the guy that ran comps to the end, but like, and then you think about Mickey, you think about Jackson also ran comps to the end. Cody to some degree also ran comps to the end.
[01:57:26] Um, like this is a pretty common trope for, uh, for winners who are very good at comps who stand head and shoulders above their competition. And, uh, you know, you gotta get them out. All right. That is the stock watch for the week. Any final thoughts? I'm very excited for the double eviction. I'll say that, uh, those are always so fun. Um, so it'll be, uh, very exciting.
[01:57:56] I have no idea what's going to happen. I'm glad the bribe also is gone because I feel like that also would make, I mean, not that Yash can win HOH during the double eviction, but I just feel like I'm just glad to be rid of that because that has been just an annoyance. So, uh, glad that everyone is eligible to be nominated now. Yeah. All right. Well, that is what we have for you this week. Thank you all so much for joining us.
