[00:03:18] I'm your host, Taryn Armstrong, and I'm here today to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 59 in the house, and we had an eviction, a blockbuster preceding that eviction,
[00:03:39] some chaos after the eviction, a new HOH, new plans for the week, and plenty to talk about and with me to talk about at all. It's Booyah. How you doing, Booyah? I'm doing good, Taren. Feels weird not being on stage with you standing, but we'll make it work today. It'll be fun. It was fun. It was fun last week in Milwaukee. We had less to talk about, but it was fun being there. But now we are here, and we have plenty to talk about.
[00:04:08] So, of course, at the start of the day, Drew was still the HOH. Lala, Taylor, and Devens were still on the block. Devens was still the plan to be evicted if he did not win the blockbuster. And the Lala and Taylor vote, if Devens were to win the blockbuster, was really starting to gain some momentum in favor of evicting Taylor over Lala.
[00:04:30] Because Dee and Angela were on board to evict Devens, as were Yash, Melody, Barrett, and whichever of Lala or Taylor were to come off the block. Dee and Angela also wanted to keep Lala over Taylor. And the day before yesterday, Yash and Melody both decided they wanted to keep Lala over Taylor because Lala would be a bigger asset to them in competitions. So that's plenty of votes to keep Lala over Taylor.
[00:04:59] They just needed to lock in and have the right conversations. They planned to talk to Angela. If they did, they'd know that Angela was down and that they'd have the votes. So all of that is ready to go here on Thursday morning. But we started the day with Dee and Angela. And Angela, ever vigilant with her crazy eyes, spotted the fact that Barrett was talking with Yash and Melody late at night the night before.
[00:05:29] In particular, that Yash had pulled Barrett to go and talk to them. And she was like, what's going on here? I think they're flipping on Devens. I think that's I think they pulled. That's the group. And they pulled Barrett in. And I think they're going to vote Devens out. And now she is right that Barrett's going to vote out Devens. But she's wrong about what this conversation was. The conversation was to vote out Taylor in that conversation.
[00:05:58] But, you know, close enough. And they're like, well, this is maybe actually good for us. Because if Barrett is going to vote out Devens, then we don't have to. They can do it. We can vote to keep Devens and we get no heat. So maybe we don't vote out Devens anymore. A broken clock, Taron, is right twice a day. The intuition kicks in for this one.
[00:06:27] A hunch that was sideways actually lands. Funny, though. Now, I don't want to rewind too much. But I do want to talk about this. Which actually, it'll still be relevant because we're still talking about the pre-eviction. So this whole thing, this whole conversation about wanting to keep Lala because she's a better competitor. Are we just going off of results on this one?
[00:06:50] Because I feel like unless you're like someone who is clearly either a runner up in everything or has, you know, like a Barrett or won hella comps like a Devens. I feel like using that as your rubric doesn't really mean much because ultimately some of these comps, anybody can win them. So I don't know if there's a lot of merit there to split Lala and Taylor by saying comp ability. That's what I've been saying. That's what I've been saying.
[00:07:19] Well, Drew talks to Barrett and he tells Barrett about how Melody was pitching Lala to stay the night before. Barrett's like, well, yeah, I mean, I was hearing that too. I don't really care. But Yash apparently really wants to do it. Drew's like, wow, really? I mean, yeah, that's what Melody was saying. But I don't really care that much either, though I do prefer that Lala leaves. And then Drew's like, well, actually, if it were a tie, that would be pretty good, right? Because then I could break the tie to evict Lala.
[00:07:48] And it would expose to Taylor that Yash wanted her out because Yash will have voted her out. So maybe we let them vote that way and we make it a tie and this could be very good for us. So he goes and he talks to Devin's about it. He tells Devin's about the plan. Devin's is like, whatever. I don't really care either way between Lala or Taylor that much. And Drew says he thinks that Angela and Dee want her to stay because they think they can control her.
[00:08:16] But hey, end of the day, if they decide they want to do it, they'll have the numbers too. Dee and Angela can vote that way. Melody and Yash would vote that way. It would be four to two. All we can do is ask them not to. So we'll see. So Drew talks with Angela and Dee and he says he does still want Lala out, but he's okay with Angela giving her a sympathy vote. But because Melody and Yash are voting Taylor out, that would make it a tie and that would be very good for them.
[00:08:45] Dee's like, wait, Yash wants Taylor out? He's like, yeah. Apparently Yash was pitching it to Barrett last night. And I think it would be great if it landed in a tie and then Taylor stayed and then found out that Yash was voting her out. And they're like, wow, really? Okay. And now so Dee is talking to the camera. She's like, well, okay, does this mean that Barrett is voting out Devin's or he's not voting out Devin's? Maybe they were just talking about some. Maybe they were talking about the Taylor plan.
[00:09:16] What do I do? If they're not voting out Devin's, then Devin's will stay. I might just need to evict him and then tell nobody about the vote, not even Angela. And by the way, Becca, I would never do this unless I had a feeling. But Devin's made a joke in front of Drew and Barrett. It really made me think that he's turning on me. And we find out in the episode, he really is. He really is thinking about going with Drew and Barrett. After all that, after all the camera talks, after all he's been doing, he is thinking about it.
[00:09:46] Now, I still don't necessarily think that that means that it's the right move to turn on him this early. But credit where credit is due. She caught the joke and she was right. You know, this is a clock that is just right. I don't think this clock is broken. The read is on point. Taryn, can we discuss something else? And I want to go back to the nomination block with you here. So let's look at the history books from the last week.
[00:10:14] Who were people thinking was going to win the blockbuster? Who did they have their money on? If all the house guests were betting, who were they going to bet on winning here? I mean, I think they thought Devin's would have the best chance. Okay. I was hoping you would say that because I thought so too. Why, oh, why then are we talking about what should be the most likely outcome of the block? Why is that still so alive going into today to the point where like everyone's a little bit unsure and wavering on it?
[00:10:45] Because, well, I think largely because the scarier plan, the big plan is like get out Devin's. That's the like, that's the one they've all been so focused on. And as they all keep saying, none of them really care all that much between Taylor or Lala. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, when the majority, yeah, everybody but Yash really or and Melody probably is kind of like, well, whatever. We're still intact.
[00:11:15] I mean, Barrett obviously has gone rogue, but yeah, that makes sense. All right. Well, let's move it along then. Yeah. Yeah. So Barrett talks to Melody and I get the sense from Barrett here. He's talked to Angela and D now and Barrett's telling Melody, he says, the icons aren't budging on the Lala vote. I don't think we've got the votes for it. And Melody's like, oh, I knew we probably wouldn't be able to get the votes. And like, this isn't true.
[00:11:44] So it feels like Barrett is trying to shut this down. And we know from the day before that Barrett was never on board with this plan. He said to the cameras, he does not want Lala to stay. He wants Lala to go. But he played along in the conversation with Yash and Melody because I assume he didn't want to be able, he didn't feel like he could push back too much. But he's telling Melody he doesn't think that Angela and D will be down.
[00:12:12] So that's throwing in some uncertainty here about like, okay, well, maybe they will or won't vote this way. But at the same time, D and Angela are now like, apparently Yash and Melody are going to vote out Taylor. That's great. We have the numbers. We can do this. Even if Barrett doesn't agree, even if Devins doesn't agree, even if Drew doesn't agree, the four of us can evict Taylor. That's great. But will we piss them off if we do it?
[00:12:40] And it's like, what's more important, keeping them happy or making the right move? He's like, you're right. And she calls Lala over and she's like, Lala, are Melody and Yash voting to keep you? He's like, yes. So, okay, then you have the numbers, but we'll need your back moving forward. She's like, of course. And she's like, well, Lala, make sure you talk to Yash and Melody and tell them that they have the votes. That they should vote that way.
[00:13:06] And so Lala leaves and they agree like, okay, we'll just tell the boys last minute that we're voting this way as an explanation. And that'll be it. We'll vote out Taylor and that'll be what we do. And that is the plan heading into the episode. That Melody and Yash still want to do it. They think they have Barrett, but they don't think they have Angela and Dee necessarily. But they want to maybe try to figure it out and maybe go for it.
[00:13:35] Angela and Dee now think that Yash and Melody are on board and that they have the votes. They just need to break the news to Barrett and Drew and Devin's before the vote happens. So the plan is all in place for tonight, for the night that they're doing this. And when it comes to the Devin's vote, they're like, what do we do? Do we vote for him to stay or do we vote for him to go?
[00:14:04] Do we trust that Barrett's going to vote him out or do we need to do it ourselves? And Angela says, I think we just keep his ass. We keep him and then if they decide to blindside us, great. And if they don't, then he stays. And so that becomes the plan for the Devin's vote as well. Now, we get to the episode and of course we see in a very close blockbuster competition, Devin's pulls out the win over Taylor.
[00:14:32] And this should have been the end for Taylor because there were four votes who all wanted to evict her, planning to do so coming into the eviction vote, at least according to the last thing we had seen on the feeds. However, some nonsense happens and we still don't know, or at least I still don't know exactly what goes down here. But it certainly seems like as Dee and Angela are going to Barrett to be like, hey, we might
[00:15:01] need to vote out Taylor. Barrett is like, the votes aren't there or something along those lines. Something shuts the vote down for Dee. And then Angela goes in, casts her sympathy vote that she was allowed to do. Dee backs off of the plan. Barrett also votes Lala out and then tells Yash, the votes aren't there. They're not going to do it. They wanted to, but Barrett is able to represent it like, hey, they're not doing it.
[00:15:30] Yash changes his vote. Melody never gets the memo and the vote comes in four to two. Lala is evicted. Only the blockbuster could produce such a result because it's pretty wild that just miscommunication and perhaps one middleman able to shut down an entire eviction and change the course of who stays and who goes. I think also like Barrett has been thrown into such a strong position just by proxy of being,
[00:16:01] for lack of a better term, just back off, jump on your trace, the middleman, where I feel like there's a lot of people that could have had one or two, not even conversations, Tam, we're talking sentences. We're talking sentences could have clarified this. And they didn't do it. They went with his word. They went with what he's saying and they followed it. And a four to two, it could have easily been a three, three or a four, two on the other way. Easily. And honestly, I'm kind of here for it. After us not getting the Devon's blindside, I think this was the best thing you could ask for is a bit of a live vote out.
[00:16:31] Yes. Now, again, to be clear, this is like from what I've pieced together, my theory, we may see it on the episode and it might not be exactly this. But right now, it's my best guess at the moment for how this went down. So four to two, Lala has been evicted and we are officially in. We have officially have our first member of the jury. And that means we have now changed our graphic.
[00:17:01] Oh, bye bye, prejury. Lots of extra space. I didn't have a lot of time to like space things out here, but no more prejury. Here is our jury portion of the cast with Lala as our first member of the jury.
[00:17:20] Now, the feeds came back and there was still a bit of mess going on because Devon's and D are talking and Devon's is like, yeah, Angela told me before the eviction that she thought the boys were going to vote me out. And D was like, I kind of felt that way, too, but I didn't want to freak you out. He says he's not worried about it. He won anyway. He's I don't know that he really believes that.
[00:17:48] I think he thinks that Angela is probably being paranoid. Right. And then there's a lot of confusion about this second vote. Who voted for Taylor to go other than Angela? Melody, we know, is the second vote, but she's denying it. She's saying I voted for Lala to leave. Her and Yash talk to each other and she's like, I thought the other one was you.
[00:18:16] And Yash says, no, I thought the other one was you. And they're both denying it to each other. Barrett says he would assume it was Melody because he told Yash that it wasn't happening in the hallway. But either way, the idea is that they wanted Taylor to feel like one of her allies voted her out. So hopefully they can convince Taylor that it was either Melody or Yash. Devin's questions D about it initially in that conversation when she was talking to him before.
[00:18:47] And then again, after he talks to Drew and Drew says, Melody's telling me she really didn't do it. Devin's goes back to D and he's like, did you did you do it, though? And she's like, you really don't believe me, bro. That actually makes me mad. That actually makes me mad. You come to me right after you talk to Drew and you start asking me again after I already told you. No, I believe you. I just think Drew's putting things in your head. I don't know. I don't know. And she's she's mad.
[00:19:17] She's mad. And she's not. Now, listen, Drew tells the cameras after this. He's like. Her reaction to that makes me think it really definitely was her, which is not a terrible read, but the I think reality is less that she's mad because she got caught because she didn't. She didn't vote that way. And more so that she's just mad that Devin's is still in the game. She's mad that the blockbuster didn't go her way and the Devin's is still there.
[00:19:44] And now he's talking to Drew still and she still has all these suspicions. And now he's questioning her. And so it kind of like manifested itself in that way. And she tells Angela, if I win HOH, I'm putting I'm putting them both up. Drew and Devin's. And so Drew, though, worries that if he wins the HOH, she might put up him and Devin's. They do apologize. D and Devin's to each other.
[00:20:14] But there's still a lot of tension there. He she asked him if he's willing to nominate Drew or Barrett if he wins. And he says, well, yeah, but I do think we should stay loyal to crossovers for now. No. And so there's just a lot of tension in the air. There's a lot of like who voted this way? What's going on with D and Devin's? Are they going to turn on each other? Is Drew starting to get worried about D? Who's going to win this HOH? It's all over the place.

And like kind of seeing the psychology of the mind really getting the best of people. Because I do think if you are willing to flip on your allies, that just means that you assume other people are going to flip on you. And so anything anyone does, any small action can be seen or felt like a bigger thing than it is.
[00:23:31] But for Dee, I think she protested a little too much, which usually makes people think you actually did do it. But the reality is her whole paranoia about Devin's fancying a world where he's going to the end with Drew and Barrett only gets stronger when after a conversation with Drew, you're going to come back and make this joke. And it's Devin, so obviously he can play it around as like, I was just kidding, I was just trying to be funny. You know, and it didn't land, but I was just trying to be funny. I mean, that makes sense for Devin's for sure.
[00:24:00] But I think for Dee, that doesn't lower the idea anymore that A, you might still want to keep these two and work with them more than me. And B, I was about to vote you out and I can't have you for a second waiver on me. So how dare you assume I would vote you out? Because I didn't do it. I was going to, you don't know that. And I didn't do it. So that should count for something at least. So the feeds go down for the HOH competition.
[00:24:29] And when they come back up, we have our first HOH winner of the jury phase. Barrett. Finally. Barrett finally wins one. Apparently it came down to Barrett, Dee, and Devin's, which very much tracks according to who would theoretically be the best competitors in the house at this point, minus Yash, who is likely throwing.
[00:25:00] And Dee, I think, so this was like apparently a new competition. It had something to do with like throwing balls. There were rainbows. And you had to like lock in balls. There were far ones and there were close ones. Rolling balls perhaps was a thing. Either way, apparently Dee had six of the seven needed. I think Devin said five of the seven needed. And then Barrett managed to win this one.
[00:25:29] He apparently gave Drew a wink before he won. So Barrett, the HOH winner. And I, of course, immediately had some thoughts. Number one, Barrett is likely to nominate all three icons. Number two, if he actually wants to guarantee an icon leaves, he cannot afford to have Drew vote to keep any of them.
[00:25:56] Now, this means that if he wants to guarantee an icon leaves, Drew would need to be a renom if one of them were to win the veto. Because if Drew is not a renom and Drew wants to keep the icons, here's the thing. You can see there are now seven people available for nomination. Three of them will be nominated, leaving just four of them. One of them will come off the block with the blockbuster, meaning five votes total.
[00:26:24] You need three to evict. So if an icon wins the veto and comes off the block and then say, Yash goes up. Then another icon wins the blockbuster, leaving Yash and the third icon on the block, the two icons, the veto winner and the blockbuster winner, can join Drew to make three votes and evict Yash or whoever else is on the block. So if he wants to guarantee an icon leaving,
[00:26:54] he needs to either convince Drew to not vote to keep an icon or nominate Drew as the replacement nominee. Then you also have the fact that Yash has this bribe. And so if Barrett is going to be messy and nominate all three icons, not only might they turn on each other when there's already a lot of cracks, but they also have this information about Yash's bribe, which is that Yash cannot nominate any of the icons.
[00:27:23] I do want to make sure we clarify something. A couple of days ago on the update, Mike Bloom said that he heard Tiffany saying that if Dee is evicted, the bribe stays in place. The curse is not broken. Tiffany has since clarified that is not what she intended to say, that we do not have clarification on that at this point. So Dee leaving could still theoretically break the curse. We still don't know. But the point is,
[00:27:53] if the icons reveal the true extent of the bribe, that Yash cannot nominate any of the icons at all on his next HOH, then that could change things as well. Because if you're Barrett and you think about it, okay, I can take out an icon this week.
[00:28:18] We go down to the final seven and Yash wins the HOH. He can't nominate two of his six options. If there are still three nominees, then Barrett is all but guaranteed to go up on the block. Because why would Yash put up Taylor? And even if he did, Barrett is a forced renom pretty much. So what the icons would be telling him by revealing the details of the bribe
[00:28:46] is that Yash basically has to come after you as soon as he wins an HOH. And the best Yash can do in retaliation to that is say, well, I promise I'll keep throwing. Which, why would you if you're Yash? Once at least one of the icons is gone, why not target Barrett and Drew immediately? Why not burn that HOH? There's so many reasons to go ahead and do things like that.
[00:29:16] So it does actually incentivize Barrett. It puts him in a dilemma of, do I want to take out this trio, one of them, or do I now have to deal with Yash, the best competitor in the house, who is contractually obligated to basically target me as soon as he wins an HOH. It's genuinely information that should at least get Barrett thinking. And so all of this is in place. There are secrets that are potentially waiting to be spilled.
[00:29:45] There's thought processes and strategic avenues for Barrett to consider and a whole lot of mess when he betrays the icons in the first place. And I think a Barrett HOH is a pretty good one to have for us here. This was the one I was asking for on the recap. I said, this would be the best outcome for us. There'll be maximum popcorn. And I think we're at that Avenue. What's tough, Taryn though, is that I do agree. Keeping Yash in basically guarantees that if this person wins, you're a nominee, that's going to be, that's foregone, right?
[00:30:14] The problem though, is that when you have a ride or die in Drew and you are trying to do right by Melody, you're going to end up putting at least one icon, two icons, sorry, two icons up, one icon up. That's still going to muddy those waters. Like I think that no matter what, Barrett leaving this week almost guarantees, especially with the fact that he's such a good comp threat. I think he's all but guaranteed to end up on the block unless Drew or Melody win on the next go around, maybe Taylor with a kicker.
[00:30:44] But I think he's just kind of in the tough spot because I think there's three people, no matter how you split this pie, three people next week are putting him up on the block in some capacity. Yeah, it's, it's, it is a tricky spot. Genuinely. And it's funny because, because Drew was in a tricky spot last week. And as per usual for Drew, better be lucky than good.
[00:31:08] He somehow managed to just needle his way into that Death Star event of like Devin's winning the blockbuster and miscommunication line happening well enough for his actual Lala target to land. And now a Barrett HOH is probably the absolute best case scenario for him at this point. Uh, Drew has, has got the luck of the gods on his side. I tell you. Um,
[00:31:36] but let's talk through what's happening here. Uh, during the night, we'll eventually land on what Barrett intends to do. And then we can sort of, really try to extrapolate from there as well. Um, so Barrett and Drew, uh, Barrett really, there's a whole sequence of events here, uh, that is, is pretty funny to me. Um, Barrett heads into the storage room and celebrates with multiple people, but it's, it's a very, it's just very funny. So he's in there. Drew comes in.
[00:32:05] Um, and Drew, by the way, is like wearing, uh, the, uh, HOH like hosting costume. And it's got like four leaf clovers all over it. Talking about this luck stuff. Exactly. Yeah. It was leprechaun ask for sure. And so, uh, they celebrate the finger guns. I've got the sound effect now. Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, only in power rangers. Is that what the gun sound like?

And right away, one of my, okay, if he wants to guarantee an icon leaves, he would need to put up drew. Now, do I think that's necessarily the right call? No, but it's, it's an option. He's telling Drew, he's not going to put him up. Doesn't mean he's not going to change his mind, but he's telling Drew he's safe. And Drew's like, yes, I can't believe I got to hand the key to you, man. This is so good for us.
[00:33:03] Oh my God. Uh, and then Barrett goes, would it be concerning to you if I told you I had no idea what I was going to do? And Drew's like, really? And then Devin's walks in like his entire demeanor changes. Then Devin's walks in and they have to now like, Drew has to now fake celebrate with Devin's, even though he just became incredibly concerned. Uh, and Devin's comes in and they're like, yeah. Yes.
[00:33:33] Um, and, and Devin's like, just so I'm not making a total ass of myself. I'm good. Right. And Barrett's like, I think you're good. Just say, I'm not at that point. I think you're good. It's like the worst thing to hear in this spot. He's like, okay, okay, good. Yeah. All right. Um, and then, and then, uh, Devin's leaves and, um, and Drew's like, so wait, do you actually not know what you're going to do? I mean, that's fine.
[00:34:04] And Barrett says, well, spoiler alert, I'm keeping melody safe too. Drew's like, I mean, that's good. And I'm down for whatever. Do you want an icon to go? Barrett's like, I don't know. We can talk about it. She's like, all right. I mean, listen, you get house guest choice. I'll win. I'll do whatever you want. Barrett's like, I don't want to make you nervous. He's like, I'm not, I'm not. You say I'm safe. I'm down. Whatever you want to do.
[00:34:34] Melody comes in. She hugs Barrett. He says, I'm keeping you safe this week. You're not going up. Don't worry. She's like, thank you. I really wanted to win that. And then they start celebrating and, and, and Barrett goes, Mallory, my queen, this is for you. And they like salute on the ground. Um, and so it's like, they're, they're now celebrating. Then, uh, Yash comes in and they leave. And my, meanwhile, D is talking to the cameras. Um, and she's, uh,
[00:35:05] talking to, and, and it was, it was funny to me because I wrote, I tweeted, I was like with Barrett as HOH, we could see a lot of secrets being spilled. And then D talked to the cameras afterward. And she was like, if Barrett pulls a fast one, I'm dropping all the secrets. I was like, Andy, you know what? The bribe thing, the secret thing, we're on the same wavelength. Um, so, uh, so then D goes into the storage room where Yash is still there.
[00:35:31] And they have a very funny standoff where they're both trying to talk to Barrett, in my opinion. Um, and, uh, but like, so Barrett's just like standing there, no reason to be in the storage room. And D and Yash are both like looking in the fridge, looking through the couch, looking for something to eat. Uh, what could, um,
[00:35:57] just trying to stay in there longer than the other so that they can talk to Barrett. Um, and then D's like, oh yeah, Yash, when you're done in the fridge, can I look in there? And he's like, sure. Uh, and so then she goes to the fridge and now he has to like, look for some cabinets. Eventually D wins. Yash, Yash leaves. And as soon as, as soon as Yash leaves, they celebrate. Oh, yeah. Uh, and she's like, okay, so, um,
[00:36:27] so who are you thinking of putting up? And he goes, well, I want to hear everything. Oh, you want to hear everything? Love it. So, very awkward vibe. Very awkward vibe. Um, so yeah, I mean, I guess we'll, we'll, we'll talk. Uh, he's like, yeah, I want to finish that conversation. We almost had in the gym.
[00:36:57] She's like, oh yeah, for sure. For sure. We'll finish that conversation. Yes. And like, I'm not even exaggerating this awkwardness. Like I, this is, this is like actual, almost word for word. What is being said? Angela comes in. She's like, congratulations, friend. You did so great. Uh, and, um, and so this, the vibe is bad. And, uh, Angela and D talk afterward. And D's like, do not act nervous. We can't be nervous.
[00:37:26] And Angela's like, I'm not nervous. I'm not nervous. I'm not acting nervous. It's, it's, it's good. It's good stuff. Yeah. It's worth the, if you can find the clips, it's worth checking it out. The reactions were absolutely gold. Uh, D talks to, to Devin's as well. They, they compare notes. Devin's like, he said, he thought I was good. Um, they're like, he can't put all this up, right?
[00:37:56] He's primarily concerned that like, because there's likely three noms that Barrett might not nominate melody and might try to nominate Angela instead. This is her, this is currently like her bad case scenario. And this is enough for her to be like, I'll go nuclear. I'll expose. And people are like, what secrets, what secrets does D have? The, the bribe. Obviously, this is what we talking about. What do you mean? What secrets? The bribe. Um,
[00:38:25] throw Yash under the bus. Uh, that is, that is, I would say the primary plan. But on top of that, she also has Devin's secrets, uh, about like Devin's is actually loyal to us, by the way, she's going to try to perhaps throw Devin's under the bus if she needs to. Um, but I think Yash is the, the current, uh, secret that, that, uh, she is talking about. Um, in fact, I'll just jump ahead a little bit. She talks to Angela later in the night and says, if, if I get,
[00:38:55] and if we get any idea that, that Barrett might put you up, Angela, we should tell Barrett about Yash's, right. Um, and again, there is some logic to this, uh, where it could change Barrett's thought process. Now it is a double-edged sword because knowing about the true, uh, extent of, of, uh, of Yash's bribe does incentivize Barrett to evict Yash more than he
[00:39:23] currently has incentive to, but it also incentivizes him to evict one of the icons. Especially in the event that he can't evict Yash, say he wins a veto or a blockbuster. So, uh, it cuts both ways. This, uh, this secret reveal, but given that Barrett is already trying to cut them, you kind of might as well at this point. So this is one of the bigger things I'm looking for, uh, today on the feeds. Yeah. I think that's going to be a very telling conversation.
[00:39:53] We'll see if those gears switch up for Barrett in any way, but I mean, we talked about it already a little bit. I'm sure we'll talk about it once we get to Barrett's master plan. And I just, I feel like he's in between a rock and a hard place with these decisions. Cause I do not think there's a world where he can keep all of the icons happy and then get Yash out and then still not be one of the ones on the block. And one of the icons went, like, I don't think that happens anyway. Yeah. And, and I'm, I'm seeing a lot of people also saying like, uh, like,
[00:40:22] won't this, won't this reveal that D and the icons have been lying the whole time? Like, yeah, of course, but who cares? He's already targeting all three of them. Like, what do you mean? Like, it doesn't matter. Do you think, um, Taryn, do you think that either we should know or like the rule should have specified whether or not the bribe ends with D or not? Cause I do think that carries a lot of weight. It does also like a lot of heavy lifting. And this is the thing too, where like, again,
[00:40:52] specifically for D revealing the secret is even better for her than it is for Devin's or Angela, because right now Barrett and Drew believe that Yash can't target specifically D. Um, but, uh, which means if they want Yash to target, the remaining icons, they can't leave D in the game.
[00:41:18] D would have to be their primary target in order to make sure that Yash isn't handcuffed during his HOH. But if they find out that it's all three, now you don't have as much of a preference, like unless the curse thing exists. But, uh, but like now if it's like, well, he can't target any of them regardless. Well, now the incentive to take out D over Devin's or Angela doesn't exist in the same way. Again, unless the, uh,
[00:41:47] the thing is that if D leaves, the curse is broken, in which case D becomes the primary, primary target, uh, once again. Um, so there's a lot going on there. And again, depends a lot on the rule set for the bribe. But in the meantime, uh, Drew talks to melody, uh, now that he knows that Barrett might do something. And, uh, he's like, yeah,
[00:42:13] we probably shouldn't like hang out in Barrett's HOH room too much this week. Um, and, uh, and I'm immediately getting flashbacks to Kamu and his hoodie. Like I don't want to have anything to do with what Barrett's about to do. I don't want to get blamed for this, but it's too late. He's already getting blamed for it. D saying if Barrett takes a shot, she's going to blame drew for it. She thinks drew would have been the cause of it, which is not even really remotely true, but, uh, but it is what she's thinking.
[00:42:44] Um, Devin's talks to Taylor. He says, I was, I, I promise you, I voted to keep you this week. Uh, probably trying to prompt this idea of like, Hey, maybe don't trust Yash or melody. One of them voted you out. Uh, and Taylor pretty much just shuts the whole thing down. She's like, I don't really care who the vote was. I just don't really care. It's like, Oh, okay. Cool. Thanks. Barrett talks with melody and drew. Um,
[00:43:14] and he goes through the options. He says that his options are the icons and Yash. And Drew's like, what about Taylor? It's like, my options are the icons and Yash, not Taylor. Uh, because in what world does it make sense for Barrett to evict Taylor this week? None, no worlds, basically. Um, so, uh, that's, that's kind of like an initial con. It's a very,
[00:43:43] like they're in the pod and they're, they're talking like this. They're doing this thing. Uh, so like they can barely really talk here. Um, they also are picking have nots. And, uh, there's a little bit of drama here. Drew, obviously with the never not pass can't be a have not. Um, and it's kind of supposed to be Yash's turn to, to be a have not. Apparently, um, I haven't fully taken, you know,
[00:44:12] kept track of like whose turn is supposed to be, but Yash refuses to be a have not. He refuses to volunteer and to kind of like keep the wheels running smoothly. Melody and D are like, well, let's fine. We'll just, we'll take it. Uh, I think Melody in particular takes Yash's spot. Um, and, uh, but afterward is like, yeah, I shouldn't have done that. and it was supposed to be Yash in the first place.
[00:44:40] And now I'm kind of pissed at Yash because why wouldn't he be a have not? Um, and, uh, and so there's a little bit of drama there that Yash would refuse to do this. I don't hate it for Yash considering he probably needs to win his veto or, uh, blockbuster this week. Um, and you know, you kind of want to be on your best foot forward there, but, uh, who knows how much it actually impacts. I can listen.
[00:45:09] It's his game to ruin if this ruins it, but I will never advocate for someone to willingly put themselves on cold showers and no food. Like that is not, it's a non-starter. Sleep is the major thing, right? Like if you don't sleep as well in the have not on the have not wheel, uh, it will impact your performance in a competition for sure. So, you know, um, um, so Barrett talks to Yash briefly. He says he doesn't know for sure what he's going to do yet,
[00:45:38] but it's not going to be boring. Um, I was surprised that they, they didn't really talk more than this. Um, it's, it's really like Barrett didn't have many conversations, uh, the night before. And the ones that he did were just these like whispery ones with Drew and Melody. [00:48:27] He'd be surprised if Barrett went nuclear. At this point, he knows that Barrett is likely looking to go nuclear or close to it. So he is now hiding this information from Devins. I think already on his plan of just feigning ignorance and trying to not be involved in this move. And then we detox to Angela. They have the whole HOH room reveal, of course. There's lots of crying involved as everyone misses their families. They're reading letters, so on and so forth.
[00:48:57] Melody's upset that she's still not winning anything. But the juice here comes when Barrett talks to the cameras late at night. And he tells us his plan. He says he plans to nominate all three icons. And Yash would be his replacement nominee if one of them were to come off the block. He only wants an icon or Yash to leave.
[00:49:21] If Yash ends up being a victim of an icon veto, an icon blockbuster, Yash is still on the block. Oh, well. That's still an okay outcome for him. And I do think this is his best path forward, for the record. He says he can't risk nominating anybody but the three icons because then there's a world where the other one takes somebody off the block.
[00:49:47] Basically, he can't afford to nominate anybody but those four people. Because he doesn't want Taylor to leave. He doesn't want Drew to leave. He doesn't want Melody to leave. He wants one of the four of an icon or Yash to leave. And this plan should ensure that. Because with all three icons on the block, even if Yash wins the veto, he probably wouldn't use it. He'd probably lock the icons on the block. At which point, one of the icons leaves. He's fine.
[00:50:17] If anybody else wins the veto and uses it, Yash can be the replacement and he's still fine. So, this is his plan. I do personally think it's probably his best case scenario. And this is without him even knowing how good Yash leaving for him could be, considering Yash's purse. He said he would love for Devins or D to leave because then Yash winning the next HOH would hopefully target the other two icons.
[00:50:45] I think even he's forgetting about the bribe at that moment, thinking, yeah, if Devins leaves, he can't target D. So, you'd have to make sure it's D that leaves. But he also doesn't know that that's not an option at all yet. But he likely will find out soon. He says, listen, I get it. This is probably stupid. This is probably not my best move to break up the icons, to break up all of these alliances.
[00:51:14] I have a final five. I have a final three. I'm breaking all of these alliances. But it's what I want to do. And especially after what D did to break my trust. So, you know, I like the icons a lot. I really do. And that's what makes this hard. And I really hope that we can be friends outside of this house when all is said and done. But after what they did to Mallory, I can't just let them. I can't just be carried by them. I'd rather be carried by Drew and Melody.
[00:51:42] And hey, maybe somebody will have a better idea for me tomorrow. And that's basically where we end the day. It is 100% the right call. I think leaving even one icon off the block leaves you for the Doomday scenario where they do take one of their own off the block. And then now he has to put up Taylor, Drew, or Melody. And then one of them could go home, hypothetically. I think that spells trouble for him. I think knowing what he wants for his hierarchy is going to be interesting to me.
[00:52:10] Because I'm assuming, Taron, of the four people, Angela's last as priority to leave. Then it comes down to D, Devin, Yash. What combination of people there? I don't think. And I think that this burns. This doesn't burn any bridges for him with Yash all that much when Yash is the replacement. Because I think Yash will recognize that he's not going to put up Drew, not going to put up Melody. And then he can go compete. I think it'll be fine, right?
[00:52:36] Yeah, I think the logic will be, Yash, I need you in there to win the blockbuster so that we can guarantee a vet eviction. Exactly. So then I think for me, what will be interesting, because I do think that, yeah, you're blowing up these lines of shore. How he handles it post-nom is going to matter a lot. Sometimes it's all about the aftercare with the nominations, especially this late into the game. If you're worried about situations like this.
[00:53:05] I think it's ultimately a good resume move. So if he can, he has to exude the confidence. He has to exude the confidence and he cannot be wishy-washy on it. And I feel and I worry because this is a lot of blowback to take in one spot. This isn't like, oh, Angela's been pissed at him at one point. D has been pissed at him. He's about to get all three icons like looking at him. So how he handles that is going to be very interesting to me.
[00:53:29] And I would be very keen to see what he does with it, because I do think he's about, you know, when you're when you're one of the most liked people in the house, it's going to feel like a lot when suddenly half the house doesn't like you or is mad at you. So, yeah, he has not really felt any significant heat so far in the game. He has played a very sort of like tried to appease everyone as much as possible kind of game.
[00:53:57] So it'll be very interesting to see how he handles the conversations today, assuming he lets them know what what's happening. I do think he has a little bit of a plot he can weave here, which is that like, you know, he he he might put some icons on the block. And then if they go, well, here's the thing Yash made. This is the true details of the bribe. He can then go, oh, wow.
[00:54:22] So you guys have been lying to me this whole time and use that as an excuse for putting perhaps all three. But then say, you know what? Now that I've cooled off a little bit, it's actually OK. I'm not mad, but we need to get Yash out and make sure you win the veto. I'll use the veto. We'll we'll put Yash on the block and try because, again, like, yes, one of these and by one of these four people, it's really one of three people should leave for Barrett's game.
[00:54:50] And that is just true, right? Like D, Devins or Yash are the three best competitors in the house, aside from essentially like Drew at this point. Drew is still with Barrett. It doesn't make sense to target Drew yet, I think, for Barrett. So like one of those three leaving is good for Barrett. And, you know, ideally, Yash isn't contractually obligated to nominate Barrett and it would be D or Devins.
[00:55:19] But given that Yash is basically contractually obligated to target Barrett, Yash is at the very least just as good for Barrett to take out. And, you know, it would be quite annoying to have to leave the icons in the game, especially without Yash there. You do have to worry about like what Drew is doing. You really have to make sure Drew is on your side at that point.
[00:55:41] But it's not the end of the world, given that it's definitely a bad scenario if, say, Devins leaves and then next time. Because because like from my perspective, at least, if I'm Yash, Barrett takes out Devins this week. Like, we're now heading into the final seven. I'm winning that HOH and I'm putting up Drew, Barrett and I guess Melody at that point.
[00:56:08] If I still have to nominate three and I'm trying to take out Drew or Barrett. And if I succeed, then cool. They'll probably come after me at the final five. But I've got a really good chance of winning Blockbuster or probably Vito at that point. Maybe just Vito. Maybe I wait until final five. I don't want to win HOH at final five, right?
[00:56:34] That's not the good HOH to win, especially if there's two icons still in the game and I'm forced to nominate only my two allies. And I have to hope for Vito. And even then it's like tricky. So I think I do have to just gun for the final six HOH. And I'm taking out Barrett or Drew and hoping that that gives me a great chance to win Vito at five HOH or Vito at four. And then I'm not locked into anything bad.
[00:57:04] And I'm in a good spot, right? Or, sorry. Yeah, final seven is next. I skipped a number. So there is a world where you could win. You could skip one HOH. But still, point being, Yash, once one of the icons is gone, is a lot safer to win the HOH and take that shot at Drew or Barrett. And so Yash is still a problem.
[00:57:33] But the icons are also still a problem. And you really have to trust that Drew is with you and that it's like the three icons versus you, Drew, Melody, Taylor. And the icons might just come right after you also. And so it's just like, it's really rocking a hard place. And again, I think the point is that he should just make sure that at least one of the best competitors that he's facing off against leaves this week.
[00:58:03] And that, I do think, means D. Devens or Yash. Which direction it goes is kind of moot because I think he's getting targeted soon anyway. And he just probably wants his best chance of winning a competition. Yeah, I think so too. I think that once he's won this Final 8, it really does. Like, he just has to survive Final 7 and reset at Final 6. Like, that's his best odds. And if Drew wins or Melody wins that Final 7, then you know what?
[00:58:32] It all worked out perfectly. If Taylor wins, I still think he's probably okay unless a renom happens. Then he's a bit of a trouble. Can you remind me, when did we lose Blockbuster last season? What number were we at? That is a good question. Let me... It was certainly around the final... I think it might have been Final 7 or 6. Wild. Let's see.
[00:58:59] So, we had Lauren, Vince, and then Morgan wins HOH at the Final 6. And she only has two nominees. So, there will still be a... There was still a Blockbuster at the Final 7. Yeah. And then at the Final 6, there was no Blockbuster. Which, of course, makes... That's literally, like, mathematically the final time it's even possible to have the Blockbuster. Because if you have the Blockbuster at the Final 6,
[00:59:31] you're nominating three people. And I guess technically you... You could, but... It's still mathematically possible. Dear Lord. Yeah. Wild. Yeah. I think... Yeah. Maybe. Just maybe then of having two chances to be safe at Final 7 when you can't be the HOH again. Not a bad call if you take out one of your key competitors also. So... Because then at that point, most people... Like, this week, only two people are going to be exempt from veto. Next week, it's going to be one.
[01:00:01] So your odds are better with better competitors for you, for your, like, skill set. Right. And this probably is the best time to make a move like this as well. Because you still have one more week of veto and Blockbuster to save yourself. Right. And you're basically guaranteed to compete in veto next week as well.
[01:00:25] So once you get through that week, you can compete in HOH again at the Final 6, which is a great time to win HOH because then you hop Final 5 and then you can win the Final 4 HOH and the Final 3 HOH. So, yeah. I mean, again, it's tough. And from my perspective, like I said, I think taking out one of Yash, Devins, or D makes sense. But maybe there are a few other paths. Maybe you do.
[01:00:54] Maybe you can't trust Drew. And maybe you do have to look at Drew. Maybe you instead go all in on the Guns Final 3 of Drew and Devins. And you just go D, Angela, and Yash. And you hope that Devins will stick with you. Like, there's a few different options. But I just think bottom line for me at the end of the day, I want one of those three gone.
[01:01:24] But again, there's so many different possibilities here. It'll be interesting to see what comes of the talks and information he gathers today. Yeah. And let me be someone to put a cool take in here while we're talking about the block and the blockbuster. I think once we have an eviction that is an elimination and has no block involved, consider the block busted. I think that once Thog left, we should remove the blockbuster as a format.
[01:01:53] It makes sense because we're at the jury. Just let it be two noms from there on out. Again, I think that the fact that we're talking about a world where people still have to nominate half the house at Final 8, I don't like that. I still really don't like that. Two to three, I can live with. Three, and then still a fourth. What are we doing? Yeah. And that's the main thing. I think this is exactly when we complained about it last season.
[01:02:22] Yeah, Lauren's Final 8 HOH. It's like Final 8 is too few people to have three nominations and a blockbuster. It really just becomes... And this is why I'm talking about you have to just take out your best competitor. Because while I do love the blockbuster as a twist and as a format for most of the game, I think this deep into the game, it removes too much strategy.
[01:02:50] This week is primarily all about just who wins competition. That's why my thought process is like, listen, you can't really choose who gets evicted. You can't even choose two people to get evicted. You have to have like three potential targets of seven other people. And luckily for Barrett, he kind of has three potential targets a little bit. But like the fact that you have three... You have to have three different people that are all potentially eligible to be evicted.
[01:03:19] And quite frankly, you kind of do need a fourth if you don't control the votes. Like it's just rough. It's just rough to be in this spot. And I don't hate nerfing HOHs. But like, I do dislike it feeling like there's less social strategy involved. I would like there to be more voting and strategy than like, okay, well, somebody's going to win a veto. Somebody's going to win a blockbuster.
[01:03:50] So I have to basically roll the dice on one of four people of seven options. It's like, yeah. One other thing I wanted to talk about before we probably wrap up here. BB Comics. Who do we have as the hands-on favorite for that? With all this conversation. I personally think that Barrett or Yash would be the favorites. My chat last night was saying maybe Drew.
[01:04:18] But I feel like Drew has actually... Has just like not actually performed that. Well, granted, he did well in the quiz that he won, obviously. But Yash theoretically could have won that had he not been throwing. And Drew obviously won the blockbuster where you look at things, but he was guessing. So maybe Drew does okay here. But I just...
[01:04:43] I think that Barrett's knowledge of the competition, just being a super fan, I think helps him a lot. Drew obviously knows the competition well, but like not as well as Barrett does. Drew hasn't watched as many seasons, nearly as many seasons as Barrett has. And you could certainly see... I mean, really anybody could do decently here. I think that Angela and Melody might struggle. Just size-wise, it's like they make this unnecessarily physical. You have to climb the ladder and hang on the thing.

They really want it to be like visually like aerial, right? What if...
[01:06:38] And walk with me through this, okay? What if the BB Comics is like themed after like a sushi place? And there's like a conveyor belt. And you got to lie on the conveyor belt and like look to the side to look at the comics. And that's the... That takes a little bit of the arm strength element out. The climbing's still there, but that's because they want it to be aerial. And at least that way, you can position yourself to go through the belt a couple of times. I don't know. There's something there.
[01:07:06] I think you can make this be a little bit more of a... You know, a little bit more of a still visual and like good production wise, but then still anybody can get it. What if they just hook you up fully into one of those like wire setups where you can literally just like... You know, it's not like a hanging zip line, but you can just like float. You know, like you're actually flying over a thing.
[01:07:36] And I think... I mean, it would still be physical, but it would be less physical, right? Like it would be... You're not actually hanging with your grip. You're not climbing up anything. You're just hooked in the whole time and you move over and you're doing the thing still hooked up. Uh, and then you can kind of just like float over to the other side to see, float back over. Um, I think that would be... That would look cooler and it would be more fair. Yeah. Um, or... And now we're just spitballing.
[01:08:03] Um, or you kind of have the McDonald's like kid playground that they used to have. And it's one of those like tubes that you have to like crawl through. But the windows in the tube like close every like six seconds after you press the button. So you can't just park there and like watch and then you do have to leave and go back to reactivate it. But then you don't have the whole going down. Like you have to go downstairs to like do your boards and stuff. If you want to like stay there, you could. Listen, we've got some good ideas here. You know?

These are, I think, fairly likely to be revealed to at least Barrett today, if not the whole house.
[01:09:03] So what does that do for Barrett's plans? What does that do for Drew, for Melody, for Taylor, for Yash? Uh, like if this starts to get around, how does Yash explain it? How does it impact how Melody sees Yash or Taylor sees Yash? And again, how does Yash explain it? And what will Yash do? Will he say, I promise I'll throw? There's all kinds of things that might happen with this bribe stuff.
[01:09:30] Um, not to mention that just the general potential chaos of the icons being told that they're going to be nominated. And what are they going to do in retaliation? How upset are they going to be with Barrett? Is there going to be drama there? Um, are they going to be mad at Drew? Is Drew going to be like, I had nothing to do with this? Is he going to get, is he going to back up Barrett? Like, so many different things all potentially happening today. Hopefully we get at least one of them. Ideally, we get all of them.
