Big Brother 28 fans, this week finds the house divided as power player Kamu wins HoH, locking in βcruise controlβ nominations just as tension starts to bubble under an alliance-heavy surface. Hosts Taran Armstrong and Pooya guide you through a classic Recap episode, spotlighting shifting targets, sneaky votes, and alliance fractures that could shape the seasonβs next phase.
The latest eviction sends Rome packing, while a surprising vote from Taylor kicks off fresh speculation about where loyalties truly lie. After a quiz-style HoH hosted by Jesse Godders, Kamu claims the win and quickly sets his targets on Mallory, Jason, and Lala. Drew steps in, pitching a backdoor Jason plan that leads Kamu to change his original nominationsβleaving Lyric potentially exposed instead. Meanwhile, Angela grows suspicious of her own allies, targeting Taylor as a βwinner threat,β even as her alliance with Dee wavers under mounting paranoia. Drew and Kamu strengthen their Handymen alliance, plotting long-term moves that could pit them against Chuck, Haley, and other Tool Shed members down the line.
- Pooya breaks down how Taylorβs rogue vote adds intrigue but little fallout, with most of the house ready to move on.
- Taran Armstrong details Drewβs push for a Jason backdoor, revealing strategic depth and highlighting how Kamu adopts the idea and shifts his target list.
- Angelaβs suspicions toward Taylorβand swinging focus off Drewβshowcase the shifting sands of trust among the vets, as discussed by both hosts.
- The hosts spot Lyric expertly pitching house splits to Kamu, but note her risk as a pawn in the new plan.
- A lighthearted moment unfolds as Angela hatches out of her egg punishment costume just before the HoH comp, offering comic relief.
Right now, alliances seem steady but cracks are showingβespecially with Drew maneuvering against Chuck and Haley, and Angela ready to cannibalize her inner circle. Will Kamuβs backdoor plan stick, or does the looming power twist threaten to blow up his strategy?
Tune in to hear the whole recap and see how this weekβs power plays could change the Big Brother 28 game.

[00:02:25] Single season. You know he is the reason. You know what's happening. Rob said that he could do it. Tomorrow he will do it again. Hello, everyone, and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 24th.
[00:02:52] I'm your host, Taran Armstrong, and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 17 in the house, and we had an eviction. We have a new HOH. We have new-ish plans for the nominations, and plenty to get to here today with me to talk about it all is Booyah. How you doing, Booyah? I'm doing good, Taryn.
[00:03:22] Last week we were treated to an all-timer. People were saying one of the best Thursday nights we've had in many seasons. Last night felt a little more reminiscent of the regular, of a normal, of a standard week, but we'll talk about it. Yes, things a little more chill here. I did just get off the phone with Rome in our exit interview, so you can stay tuned for that after this update is finished.
[00:03:52] But in the meantime, let's get to it. Of course, heading into the eviction, Rome, Melody, Jason on the block. Rome was going to be evicted in any scenario that he didn't win the blockbuster. We saw that play out on the episode. The Melody-Jason vote never came through. It was always going to be Melody saved over Jason. However, Taylor was still doing some work to try to get that vote happening.
[00:04:19] Ultimately, we saw that she casts a rogue vote for Rome to stay over Melody, which was quite interesting. But we can talk about that a little bit later. Really, there wasn't much that went down prior to this vote. It kind of locked in that it was Melody. The Mallory and Lyric talked and Lyric backed down from the Melody-Jason vote as well.
[00:04:46] So it was going to probably be close to unanimous. There was a plan in place to pull Taylor and Lala and make sure that they knew the votes weren't there because they had been trying to say that Dee and Angela would vote with them. But again, all of this is kind of moot because none of it happened. Yeah, I mean, there's not much to say when the consensus person that's going to leave no matter who he's sitting next to ends up not winning the blockbuster that we end up here.
[00:05:15] I guess the one happy thing I can be happy about is that it wasn't a full unanimous just so that there could be some intrigue with people doing an inky vote hunt. But beyond that, not much else to report here. Yes. So we get to the eviction. And of course, Rome was evicted, joining Ashley and Rachel in the eviction. Devastating.
[00:05:44] Whose idea was this? Who came up with the idea to give Ashley company and Rome there also? Why is Rachel there? I'm just because she was on the season. She was canonically on the season. We could have had a better photo of Rachel. I feel like that wouldn't have made the memory wall, but well, the whole point is that when you're evicted, you are, you know, the photo of you is now eviction version of you. And that is the last photo of Rachel we saw.
[00:06:13] Yeah, and some of her skin. I'm off. So anyway, feeds come back actually from post eviction before the the H.O.H. competition. And we get a little bit of intrigue here because of that vote, that rogue vote from Taylor lyric is denying her vote. She not denying her vote, sorry, denying the vote that she did not actually pass.
[00:06:43] True, true denial. I'm saying that, you know, she did vote Rome out. And for the most part, you know, there's a there like there's an assumption that it was probably her to people who like haven't really fully heard the denial. But to those that she has like said it wasn't her. They mostly believe her because why would she lie? But really, like the main headline is that nobody really cares, at least at this point.
[00:07:10] And we've talked about this a lot that when it comes to rogue votes, it usually matters more or less depending on who wins H.O.H. And and and at this point in the night prior to the H.O.H., I don't think anybody in particular is super interested in causing a fuss before knowing who the H.O.H. is. And so even like Melody is like, I don't it's fine. Let's just let's just leave it for now.
[00:07:38] I think that makes the most sense simply because you don't know who's going to win. You don't know who's going to come by. Usually people will come forward. Once you have power, you can get the answers you want. If you and I just don't think there's much right now that mattered for them as far as hunting down who is the one person who voted against the House. I don't think that was going to be a big deal here.
[00:08:00] Obviously, you can absolutely use this hinky vote to, you know, fill your own theories in and get the people you want to be targeted, targeted using that. Mm hmm. Um, Devins does make a joke at Drew and Barrett about like doesn't look great for you guys because of all of this. We did a lot of the talk about the rogue votes the day before. Um, we anticipated there was a chance that this could be framed, uh, that they could be framed for this.
[00:08:29] But again, this is not really going anywhere at this point. So we're not going to get dive too, too deep into it. Uh, lyric though, worth noting is back to her, uh, lyric Erwin ways. Uh, like talking down, like, yeah, you know, Rome said that he loved me, but I wasn't really ready for that. And, uh, Chuck, so silly.
[00:08:56] Um, and, uh, and, and people are noticing, uh, and talking and commenting on it. Um, but, uh, but I do think it's still like, it's a working on Chuck and Yash, uh, despite all of what just happened in front of them with Rome. Um, declaration of love, very public kiss, very public. He denied everyone else hugs to be like, this is our moment. And yet an hour later, body's not even cold yet.
[00:09:25] And Chuck is acting like there's a chance. He's putty. It works. Lyrics has that, that, uh, charisma to her though. And it works quite a bit, but I also think other people are not blind to it completely. Hmm. And to be fair, the body was colder than Rachel's still, uh, that, uh, that body was in lava. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so feeds go back down for the HOH competition.
[00:09:55] Nothing really, uh, of, of import is going to happen prior to that. Uh, and when they come back, we learn that number one, it was a booth competition. Uh, some sort of whizzy kind of thing. Number two hosted by Jesse Godders, wrestlegasm. Um, not sure why they paired that with a booth competition, but you do you. That's fine.
[00:10:25] Um, I have more of a qualm with the gasm. I feel like we could have said wrestle anything. I'm curious why gasm. What show are we talking about? Yeah. I don't know because I will say, I feel like love Island finished yet. Here we are about to enter week three and so many love Island ask things have been happening. Wrestlegasm. If this was love Island, it would have been like French fry gasm.
[00:10:51] Uh, and they would have been regurgitating slime into each other's mouths. Like I was going to say, yeah, this competition is called mama bird and here's how it works. We're good. Um, we also learn that, uh, before I give you the results, there were, uh, to my estimation, what I'm hearing roughly, you know, in, I don't know exactly if this is like, uh, if this is the, what's happening, but I'm going to paint a picture for you.
[00:11:20] Based on who we heard was close to winning and who won. There's a theoretical world where this competition came down to Mallory lyric and Kamu. Uh, and that's, those are very different worlds that we could live in.
[00:11:38] And you might've already gotten the sense based on how we introduced this podcast, but Mallory and lyric both lost to Kamu. Kamu is our new H O H for the week. Devastating result. Devastating. Devastating.
[00:11:58] If you were looking for a little bit of unknown territory, Kamu low key, Taryn, I find someone else here that you think would have been a more straightforward person than Kamu winning. That's exactly. That's exactly what I was tweeting out last night. I was like, Kamu is literally the steadiest hand in the entire house.
[00:12:21] Uh, like Kamu is the last person I would expect to make a silly mistake. The last person I would expect to do anything that rocks the boat. Uh, like Kamu has consistently over the past two weeks, been the one to argue sense to the bad plans being, uh, proposed. And it makes a lot of sense for him to not rock the boat.
[00:12:53] And pretty quickly, before I even bothered to give you, this is probably what he should do. I can tell you that right away we learn. He tells drew I'm thinking Mallory, Jason, Lala for noms. Mallory or Jason being top two, uh, picks to evict, make a lot of sense for Kamu, at least in his mind for what he's doing.
[00:13:19] Um, now I actually think that Mallory isn't the best person for Kamu to evict. Uh, is Jason the best person for Kamu to evict? That's a little more debatable. I do think that Jason is clearly good at comps. Uh, now like leaving people in to go after vets for Kamu is I think generally a good thing. But here's the other thing. There's almost nobody else in the house for Kamu to target.
[00:13:46] Uh, he's working with nearly everyone and he has good working relationships with most other people that he could target without blowing up his entire game. And I don't think it makes sense for him to blow up his entire game. So Mallory, Jason, Lala as nominees is his initial thought. And it does kind of make sense. Do you think so we're talking booth comp here, we're talking, this could have been the three left at the end.
[00:14:16] Is this just Kamu winning to stay to keep the tool shed strong? Because for him, it's fine. I think he probably knows his life's going to be fine. I'm assuming this is more of a pro tool shed pick, even though he would have been fine with anybody else winning. Yeah, I mean, you know, in the world where Mallory and Lyric are close to winning, um, obviously you're gonna maybe try to win. Lala was, I think, up there.
[00:14:44] Um, and I think like Barrett was doing pretty well. It's always hard to know based on how they describe it. But, uh, it seems to me like it was probably like it's, it's hard to, it's hard to throw a booth comp to a person, uh, unless it's an elimination booth comp and it's only you two left or something. So if there were that many people who are in it at the end, I think obviously you're just going to try to win. I think that makes a ton of sense generally.
[00:15:13] And I do think that Kamu winning this HOH makes a ton of sense for his game. Um, in the world where Lala wins, who knows what happens? That's bad for Kamu in the world where Mallory wins. Yeah, maybe she goes after the vets, but there's a lot of people who would maybe try to point her in other directions toward Haley and Chuck and who knows, maybe Kamu. Um, so Kamu winning this allows him to do what he wants.
[00:15:43] He's going to set himself up. Uh, he's very much a, like, he's a highly structured player and giving him an HOH early in the season like this. He's very reminiscent of like Derek, uh, winning in the early portions of 16, doing something very straightforward and boring and taking out, uh, Devin, um, and setting himself up for success in the future.
[00:16:11] Kamu is going to later tonight explain that he is basically taking after, uh, Derek. He watched 16 before coming in house. And, uh, and so, you know, he really is kind of playing by the book, uh, which I was talking about in week one. Uh, they went off the book last week, but, um, but Kamu, I think wants to play by the book and this is all kind of by the book so far.
[00:16:35] I feel like Kamu also might be my top candidate for, he doesn't get initially nommed because of his positioning, but all it takes is one person winning the veto and people be like, should we just take the shot at him now? Like, is this the best moment? Cause we might not get another one. Um, I think that's someone I can see Kamu slotting into that spot. So for him being safe, like this is not a bad call at all. Yeah. Um, he does quickly tell melody that she is good as well.
[00:17:01] Worth pointing out ahead of time here that drew melody and Kamu have, uh, have been good. Obviously drew and Kamu have a final two. Uh, melody has a good relationship with Kamu. Kamu as has actually specifically mentioned to, uh, the tool shed that. Uh, he cannot go after somebody like melody. Other people will need to do that for him.
[00:17:24] Um, so melody does appear to be off the table for the first week, uh, in her entire, uh, game. Um, and, uh, and so, you know, uh, having already said that, uh, Mallory, Jason and Lala are likely the noms melody is not a potential renom, nor does he want to make a renom. But at this point we don't entirely know who his renom would be. Uh, we will find that out shortly. Don't worry.
[00:17:55] Jason, uh, of course is concerned. He's going to try to come up with a plan to maybe try to pitch Devins or something. It doesn't really end up happening, nor does it really have any space to go anywhere. Jason has no information to dump. He's just, just a pitch. Uh, Jason is just at the bottom here is going to have to win a competition is, uh, is very likely the case. Um, so, uh, so we move forward through the nights.
[00:18:23] Uh, D does have a conversation with Taylor. It's a little choppy in terms of, uh, the feeds coming in and out. Um, so it was a little difficult to fully grasp exactly what they were saying here. Um, I don't think like, like if they were talking about specifically the vote or just Taylor campaigning for the vote, but, uh, but D does for sure, uh, mention like, Hey, I didn't appreciate that you were using my name in your campaign.
[00:18:53] For Jason to stay over melody, like saying that you had my vote. Um, like that, like, that's not, that's not cool. And she didn't do it in like a super, like, uh, like chastising way. She tried to like keep it chill. Um, and Taylor was like, Oh, I'm sorry. Like, I didn't mean to, I'm new to this game. Uh, and D's like me too. Um, and, uh, and she, she kind of tries to pawn it off on Jason a little bit. Like, Oh, I was talking to Jason and Jason would run around. Uh, it's a little bit of a word salad, but.
[00:19:23] Um, you know, basically D is just being like, don't do that. I don't, don't use my name in a campaign like that. I'm not mad at a fair warning of like, red card or red flag. Don't do that. Cause I think ultimately what you don't want to do is have that be normalized for someone. So if they even fear it a little, they might just not touch the stove again. And I think that's fine to do depending on how you deliver the message, obviously. Yes. Uh, so before we get into.
[00:19:50] Kamu's one-on-ones cause he is going to do some one-on-ones, uh, overnight, which is, uh, if this is going to be the new norm, we, uh, you're going to have a feast every, uh, every Friday here. Uh, normally you, they wait for the one-on-ones for Friday morning. Um, because it's really late to do them overnight, but here we are. Um, but before we get into those, I did want to, uh, I, so, you know, I posted a poll last night on Twitter.
[00:20:20] Um, this is not, of course, I don't even think it's even close to indicative of where the, um, where the actual votes may fall for who wins the power. First of all, the voting takes place over the course of the entire week, uh, not just overnight. So take that for, with a grain of salt.
[00:20:39] Another thing is that the online fan base is very small in comparison to the overall, uh, audience of the show who tends to carry these votes in the first place. Not to mention that my audience or the people who would vote on Twitter, uh, are an even smaller subsect of the online audience. Uh, so those caveats, uh, taken into consideration, roughly 9,000 votes in the Twitter poll.
[00:21:05] Uh, and I separated the people out into just like groups of people cause you can only choose four people, uh, or four options, uh, on Twitter. So I put like D and Devins as like, did you vote for them? Barrett and Drew, did you vote for one of them? Lala, Taylor, Jason, or Mallory, Malady, Lyric. And then I left a red corner off because quite frankly, I don't think they're getting votes and I didn't have room for them. Um, and the results were not great if you're an online fan.
[00:21:34] It's because, uh, they were basically even between D and Devins, Barrett and Drew, Mallory, Malady, Lyric. They all shared like 28.6, 28.8, 26.5 votes. Uh, so like it's very split, uh, in, in this corner of the fan base, uh, there's probably a lot of Drew support. There's probably a lot of Devins support. There's probably a lot of like Mallory support.
[00:22:01] And these votes are getting split all over the place. Uh, and that to me says that if there were any amount of like online sway for this vote, uh, at least from again, this corner of the online fan base, it's basically moot. Like that, this results tells me that all of these votes are going to basically cancel each other out and it's going to neutralize, uh, the casual fan base. Yeah, I think so. And I guess the question I would have is removing D and Devins from the equation.
[00:22:28] Now that Rome also left, who would you say had the best quote unquote presentation or edit last week that you would think would be a contender from the casual side? In terms of raw edit, I do think Drew had one of the better ones. Um, but that's taking out the case that, uh, there are already people a lot, very familiar with Devins. Um, and I think Devins had probably the strongest edit on top of being the strongest presence.
[00:22:56] I do think that Devins is, uh, is my locked in pick for who's going to receive this power. Um, I do think he'll, he'll outshine D who was quieter in the edit over the week. Uh, he was the HOH. He made the move. He did so in a gentlemanly way. Um, and, uh, while still a cause and chaos and being likable and fun.
[00:23:19] Um, the thing I'm looking out for is really next week after Devins, who I assume is receiving this power and gets it. Um, will they go to D next or will it go to somebody like Drew or Mallory who might be targeted this week or Jason even not likely with the casual audience at this point, but, uh, will they start going to the underdogs this week?
[00:23:47] Considering how sort of like overpowered one side is starting to become, um, that is probably the more interesting question at this point. Yeah. I'm intrigued, uh, because I do think that especially with the tides continuing on this path, while I think D star power should still put her in contention next week. I feel like, are we going to end up having an overwhelming, okay, we need an underdog to break the status quo, especially, I don't know how they're going to present this week.
[00:24:16] It's very, very straightforward. So there will, and when you're going to have repeat noms again, I could see that changing things because truly if Mallory and Jason do go up, um, we are one more nomination cycle away from my, where I'm standing, where we're going to end up with our, these are our two mainstays at the, at the nomination with a tertiary edition there. So we'll see. Yes. All right.
[00:24:42] So keep that in mind, of course, as we move forward, Kamu is going to start his one-on-ones. Um, and he talks to Taylor. Now it's very, this is actually important. I'm glad I brought it up yesterday, uh, that Kamu and Taylor have been talking. They have a relationship in the game. Um, and it's mostly a personal one really, uh, at this point.
[00:25:06] And so, uh, Kamu, you might've noticed did not mention Taylor as an initial nom. Um, and when talking to Taylor says you're safe this week, fully safe this week. Don't worry about anything. Um, but of course, considering he plans to nominate Lala, they do end up talking a bit about Lala. Um, and basically like whether Taylor would be okay, letting Lala go, uh, which she's not though.
[00:25:34] She does, you know, have some concerns about Lala as a game player. She appreciates her. She likes her, but also, you know, so on your regular kind of like distancing while still supporting kind of conversation. Uh, I think Taylor does a good job here. She's been doing a good job with Kamu. It's coming in very clutch, uh, even more clutch than she or you, the audience might even think at this point in the night.
[00:25:59] Um, and so, uh, very important conversation with, uh, with, uh, Kamu and Taylor. Yeah. I think getting the early talk in also ultimately timing. Sometimes it's all you need to be is the right place, right time. I think this timing was perfect for Taylor. Yes. And that's because downstairs D and Angela are talking about Kamu's plans. Uh, they've now been led in on the nomination plans, uh, Mallory, Lala, and Jason.
[00:26:28] And Angela's not a fan. She doesn't like these noms. Uh, you might think like, oh, of course, easy nominations, easy week. Uh, but, uh, but this is Angela's house. She runs things around here. She's made that clear. And so, um, she's like, I don't want Lala to go. I don't want Mallory to go. Remember, Angela really likes Mallory from week one. She's been comforting Mallory when she was on the block.
[00:26:57] She's maintained a good relationship with Mallory. Despite Mallory being one of the most dangerous players for the vets, Angela in particular feels really good with her. Um, and, and this is one of the indications I think of how much influence Angela has over D because you might think it's the opposite considering their stature as players. But I think that the Mallory situation is very indicative of, you know, and I'm sure they influence each other to some degree,
[00:27:25] but the fact that D is not concerned about Mallory much, um, uh, because of a few different things, but I think largely because Angela's like, no, I like Mallory. I want Mallory in, um, is, is pretty big, uh, in terms of, uh, understanding that relationship. But either way, Angela wants Mallory and Lala to stay.
[00:27:50] She wants, not Drew, but Taylor to go. And remember, again, I mentioned this yesterday. She was just talking about how Taylor has, she's, she's, she has winner written all over her. And this is going to be the phrase that she's going to continue to use. Taylor has winner written all over her. Um, and she's smart, she's social, she's becoming more active.
[00:28:18] Um, and she, I think did not like, um, how Taylor was moving the day before with the vote. Uh, and, um, and, and all of a sudden Angela, she's kind of, she's kind of like, you know, Drew, we'll get to him. Taylor, she's got to go. Yeah. Interesting.
[00:28:43] Because, and let me be probably the 17th person to say that I do not understand why Angela, the paranoia like takes her, but at least with Drew, if I'm putting myself in her shoes, I'm like, okay, Drew is active. He's moving around. He's got a lot of relationships. He's talking to everybody. People are confiding in him. They're saying we discussed at the round table where the people are telling him things and then he's sharing them. So can it be like, well, what are you saying about me that they're so comfortable sharing this stuff with Taylor? What? She, she came out of her shell.
[00:29:12] Now we're going to punish her. Like, is that what it is? Oh, she was on the block week one and now she's getting a little comfortable. I don't like that. We're to switch up when, and again, not advocating that she should keep looking at Drew, but we're to just abandon the Drew plan for suddenly looking at Taylor. And mind you, I think this is where I wanted to bring this point up earlier. Karen, Kam was probably one of the biggest advocates for, Hey, I'm going to get rid of someone that you probably wouldn't be able to get rid of. And then you get rid of someone that I would want to get rid of.
[00:29:39] I think he's going to like, this is the, the last HOH that'll probably do this for you. Cause he's like, no, no, no. I'll get someone that you can't get out. Then you can get this person that you want out so bad. Yes. And it's at this point in the season that I'm, I'm, I've, I've been waiting to talk about this because if anyone recalls in season 26, the biggest piece of analysis that I concluded
[00:30:03] when it came to Angela was that the closer you are to Angela, the more she suspects you have wrongdoing, the closer you are, the more aligned you are with Angela, the more of an enemy you become to Angela. And I think we are to some degree, she has improved because she hasn't turned on D yet. Or Devin's yet.
[00:30:31] But outside of her core, this is proving true. You know, she's in an alliance with Drew in the core of the crossovers with Drew and debt and Barrett. And she's getting more and more suspicious, more and more focusing on them. We've talked about this, that like third parties are getting passes while Drew and Barrett are getting suspected of things, uh, that they're not even doing, you know, and there's reason to suspect them for plenty of things, but not the things that Angela is concerned about generally.
[00:30:59] Then she makes an alliance with Lala and Taylor. And I'm like, here we go. This is actually great for Angela. Indeed. This would be a great long-term crew to run with. Except now that she's in an alliance with Taylor, I don't know. She's got winner written all over her. I don't like the position that she's in that I just put her in because she's in an alliance with me. I'm concerned about how good she's feeling now. I'm concerned about how she's, how smart she, it's like you, best thing to do with Angela
[00:31:29] is stay as far away as possible. Yeah. She is the sun. Do not fly too close. Now, Taryn, sometimes when people play these, these games or go on these shows, I feel like the first experience of, of wrongdoing, they feel hits the hardest and then proceeds to paint the picture for them. The rest of the way paints their feelings, their fears. Who would we credit with that? Who was the first person Angela got close to in 26 that she felt did her wrong?
[00:31:59] Um, who can we credit all this to? I mean, I think it's, I think it was like Joseph and Quinn. Yeah. I was thinking that the, the, the, uh, low budget actors who were genuinely trying to make an alliance with her and she did not believe them. Um, and then blew up their entire spots, uh, at that point. Um, so, uh, so yeah, um, here we are Angela looking at Taylor.
[00:32:25] Now they do, they pitch this to Devin's and Barrett, uh, that like, Hey, I feel like Taylor, um, maybe should be more of the target. Um, but Devin's disagrees. Devin says, nah, I feel like Kamu's head's probably in the right spot here. I think that Mallory and Jason are the bigger threats to us right now. Taylor's more of like a long-term issue. Um, and I completely agree with Devin's here.
[00:32:51] I think Kamu's doing them a great favor by taking out either Mallory or Jason taking out. Taylor would be such a waste for the vets. It was, it's just, I mean, it's, it, I, I almost, I didn't mention it cause it goes without saying, but like, there's no reason at all to take out. But Taylor's an ally of yours, Angela and D like, what are we doing here? Um, but once, uh, uh, Devin's and Barrett leave again alone with, with D Angela is like not giving up on it.
[00:33:21] She's like, I think maybe we can still get Taylor on the block. We can tell Kamu about some of the things that she's doing. We can try to get her backdoored if we have to. Um, and then D who's like, hold on, I'm still in the last person that we did that we agreed. We didn't like, I haven't moved on yet. Could we backdoor Drew this week? And just like, nah, Drew's for later. Taylor for now. Uh, besides we probably can't even get Drew anyway. I feel like Taylor, we should try to do.
[00:33:51] I don't get it. You know, it couldn't be me. I don't understand how, uh, you're making connections with people. You're in alliances with people. You're like, this is the one. Now is the time. How about we take the other people that are not in any alliances with you first and then look inwards? Like we got plenty of time. This is still week three. So 15 people left. Yeah. And so this was interesting from D as well. D is still locked on Drew. The fact that she'd even bring up Drew as a backdoor this week, we knew it could happen.
[00:34:19] I didn't think she'd bring it up even with Kamu as HOH. Obviously she doesn't recognize how close Kamu is to Drew, but, uh, but, but she's definitely looking for this. And we knew this. She talked to Devin's about how it's coming soon and that Drew and Barrett are going to end up blowing stuff up. Um, Devin's tried to say, but we should go at least one more week. Um, but like you see this in every conversation D is in, in that conversation with Taylor, when she was talking about, uh, how Taylor shouldn't use her name in campaigns.
[00:34:49] Um, Taylor literally was like, I, I didn't campaign to, to Drew. And before she could continue the thought, D just like by reflex. Yeah. He's all over the place. Right. And, and Taylor was like, well, no, I just meant that like, he was obviously a vote for melody. And he's like, right, right, right, right. Um, he's very focused still on Drew.
[00:35:14] And, uh, I think there's a non-zero chance that she's, that she might float this idea to Kamu at some point in the week, which would be very, very bad if she did. I think, do you think that outside of Angela leaving, like Angela being evicted, is there any way the Angela fog that D is being impacted by can dissipate with both of them still being in the house?
[00:35:41] When it comes to Drew specifically or in general, I feel like low key, depending on how this Taylor stuff goes, maybe in general, but right now just let's focus on the Drew thing. Cause that's been the most prominent. I don't think, I don't think, I think Drew is too far gone. I think that Barrett could come back from it. I think it's too far gone for Drew. Like, like they could only, they could only repair that in the way that like anything in the big brother house gets like a big blow up or like massive shifts in the house dynamic.
[00:36:09] If things stay roughly the same, I don't think there's any salvaging it, uh, between the two of them at this point. Um, so this is where Angela and D are at. They are, uh, to their credit, trying to give us better TV this week. Um, and, uh, we'll see how successful they are at it. Kamu talks to Lyric and, uh, he mentions that, uh, and, and I think this was intentional wording.
[00:36:36] He has no intention of nominating her, uh, meaning she's not an initial nom, but as we'll soon learn, she is probably the replacement nominee in the event that the veto is used. He doesn't tell her that he just says that he has no intention of nominating her. Um, Lyric does her thing, little bit of a flirtiness, little bit of a Rome distance. Um, she does dump some info on him, uh, about like how her relationship with Jason has been after everything that happened.
[00:37:03] Um, and does her thing, which is one of my favorite moves by Lyric, uh, which is, listen, I can talk to Mallory. I can get her to not come after you. Uh, which she's done with D many times and it's been very effective. Uh, but she also talks about how Mary Mallory has been wary of melody after week one, when melody said that she wasn't going to use the veto on Mallory, you know, that time that melody
[00:37:30] didn't have the veto and said that, um, but she lets Kamu know about this, uh, and further denies her vote, uh, or further, sorry, I keep saying her vote as if she's denying an actual thing, uh, further denies that she was the vote because she wasn't. Um, and so, uh, interesting conversation with Lyric. It's, it is going to be somewhat important here moving forward, not only because of the information, but because of the, uh, the promise to not nominate her.
[00:37:59] I also really do like the, the throwing out the whole melody Mallory of it all, uh, to Kamu, because I think even if that's salvaged, even if that's a thing, even if people are still looking at them as a three, I think this is still good to establish that there is a split here. Now, unfortunately, melody is the one that Kamu has in his equation. So that means Mallory could still very well go up, but I wasn't upset about the, the information that was put out here by Lyric. I think she did a good job of it.
[00:38:27] Unfortunately, things may have already been a little bit set in stone before she even entered that room. Yeah. It was an interesting ploy here and I call it a ploy, but it's, it's somewhat genuine. Mallory has expressed these things to Lyric. They are genuine. That said she it's kind of been smoothed over. Like it's, it's kind of in the past and Lyric is talking about it like it's in the present. And I think that's mostly because she's just trying to, to just further help take target off of the three of them.
[00:38:54] Um, given that that's probably much of what she has left at this point. The problem is that this is being relayed to Kamu, uh, who has a good relationship with Drew. Uh, and Drew might bring it back to Melody and you know, there's a world where this gets a little weird, but, um, but overall it's probably fine. We'll, we'll end up seeing more. I'm sure, uh, in the future, if anything comes of it.
[00:39:22] Um, Kamu does talk to Melody. Uh, he says she's good again, safe this week. Uh, he wants to work with her and Drew. Um, and he also really likes Yash. Like that's a good kind of like four person ish thing that in his mind, uh, he lets her know that Lyric is in fact the replacement nominee in the event that one of the initial nominees of Jason Lala or Mallory come off the block.
[00:39:50] Obviously none of this is great news to Melody, but it is the first time that she's fully safe during a week or at least so far. Um, so, uh, so, you know, this is, she's, she's feeling good. I think in general about this conversation. I would too, if I just came off the block and the H, which tells me you're not going back up tomorrow. Like, I think that's a very safe place to be. Um, also I want to raise this also last week, Devin's declared, I am not putting the same people up again. We are going fresh table, fresh batch.
[00:40:20] And we thought could this set the culture for the season that people decide not to do that for a little bit again, common, one of the worst picks for that culture to continue. He was never going to follow suit. Here we are. Yes. Yes, for sure. But then he gets talking with drew and, uh, and this is of course when things get a little more interesting, he's got the handymen with drew, uh, final two Alliance and, um, and drew comes out hot.
[00:40:47] He says, I don't think that Mallory or Lala should leave. Um, uh, and this makes sense, right? Uh, Jason, while possibly valuable because he's going after the vets, isn't connected in any significant way to Jason or, or sorry, to, to drew or Kamu or really anybody in that sphere of influence.
[00:41:13] Jason is a potentially valuable person, but only as a pure wild card who could really go off in any direction. Whereas Mallory is a targeted strike. They have a lot of influence over Mallory, particularly drew melody, uh, et cetera. And so, um, drew is like, I w I think in drew's mind, like he would love to keep Mallory safe this week and ideally make sure the target lands on Jason.
[00:41:42] Now that's hard to do when there's three nominees, a veto, a blockbuster. And so drew is going to pitch a more targeted strike at Jason. He says, why don't we backdoor him? Um, this will help ensure that Jason is on the block, uh, come eviction night and give Mallory a better chance of pulling herself off the block prior to eviction night. Um, and, and to make sure that Jason is more of the primary target here, it makes a ton
[00:42:11] of sense for drew to shift this plan, uh, in this direction. And drew most notably, I would say over the course of the night is the only person who manages to convince Kamu to change any bit of his plan, uh, as he pitches this backdoor idea and Kamu likes it. Problem is who is his initial nominee instead of Jason. And of course, it's
[00:42:36] going to land on lyric here, who was the replacement nominee. Now a potential initial nominee. He did tell lyric that she wasn't going to be on the block though. That's a bit of a problem. He'll just have to go back on it because he likes the idea that much. Um, so the plan has shifted. The new initial nominees are lyric Lala and Mallory with the intention of backdooring Jason.
[00:43:05] It's yeah. You know, I want to go back to the first conversation, the right place, right time with Taylor, because, and you've mentioned, you brought up the wording with lyric being, you know, and you basically imply you're not an initial nom with Taylor. It was, you're not could have been there. We are down to nothing. Yash, obviously he's trying to scoop up. You remove everyone from the tool shed that doesn't leave anybody else, but lyric. And I have to feel
[00:43:33] like calm was hubris has him feeling. I can talk to lyric. It'll be fine. Like he can smooth that over. No problem. There's not many other places to go for him as things stand. This is probably the problem with why Kamu winning this power was a little bit tough, but I did like what I saw from drew here. And I think also it further solidifies that this handyman thing has a lot of staying power. I think they have a lot of influence and this could be the real deal.
[00:43:57] Yes. I think it is very possible. Uh, though I do still think for the record, I do think that drew is still playing Kamu more than he is the with Kamu. Um, and there are a couple of little hints of with that primarily later on, they have another conversation later in the night that's, uh, that we'll get to. Um, but in this conversation, Kamu does tell drew about what lyric said about Mallory
[00:44:22] being sus on melody. So that's where the information is going to travel. We'll see if it goes anywhere else for now. The main point is that drew has talked Kamu into changing the plan to backdoor, uh, Jason this week. Um, Kamu talks to Mallory. Um, and, uh, you know, it's, it's a pretty standard conversation though. He does ask her who her targets would be. And she consistent says Devon's D
[00:44:49] and Jason. And I actually feel like saying mentioning Jason as a target here makes a lot of sense for her. It's not like she's going to get away with lying and saying her targets aren't D and Devon's after she spent the entire week saying it, maybe she shouldn't, shouldn't have spent the entire week saying it, but like, saying that she's also potentially targeting Jason actually has like dual purposes. One is that if people believe it, it incentivizes them to keep both her and Jason. If they're thinking about targets, like this would totally work on somebody like Angela, who's like, Ooh, we keep them both in
[00:45:19] and we take out Taylor. Who's the real threat. Um, it's not going to work on Kamu though. So, uh, this is not going to do much for her at this point. Not much I can add there. Honestly, it's just unfortunate and a little bit more foregone than any of the other conversations. Kamu talks to Devon's, uh, about the new plan. Uh, he says, uh, and this is something I thought was interesting from Kamu as well. I don't know how intentional it was, but when Kamu says that he's
[00:45:49] got a new idea to backdoor Jason, instead of putting him on the block right away. Um, a lot of people in big brother, uh, they, they love to talk about plans that they came up with. They love to talk about plans like they came up with them. Even if they were talked into it, they say, no, that was my idea. I came up with it. Uh, or, um, you know, uh, they just, you know, it's just like, Oh, I,
[00:46:16] I had this great idea or even just like, Hey, now I'm thinking X. Kamu for as, as much as he loves to talk seemingly either doesn't have that ego or smartly knows that it's good to kind of pawn ideas off on other people. When Kamu talks about the new idea of backdooring Jason, he always makes sure to
[00:46:40] say I talked to drew and drew came up with this great idea to backdoor Jason instead. And I really do like this a lot as a tactic. Again, I don't know if it was an intentional one, but it really does help push more of the heat onto drew as the person who came up with this makes you look like you were easily swayed. And that drew is the real mastermind behind your HOH. Uh, there's, there's a lot of
[00:47:08] reasons why I like this, but he does. And I, I, every single time I was making sure to listen, he makes sure he says, I was thinking this, but then drew convinced me of this. And especially, uh, now I say that I like that in that sense, there is a downside to this, which is that he is in a final two with drew and Kamu is not easily swayed. And so the more other people try to sway him. And he says, drew is the one that convinced me of this. The more they might clock instead of just thinking drew is
[00:47:38] really good at this. They might start to think drew and Kamu are way too close. So there is downside there. Um, if you're, if you're too, too much on it, like with most strategies, but I kind of liked this for now, uh, as long as he doesn't go too overboard. I think with the, the Jack dude archetype, you really could go one of two ways. One is I am the big bad. I make the decisions. I lay down the law.
[00:48:04] I want what I want and I'm going to go get it. Or you kind of come off like the loyal guy. And I feel like Kamu right now is riding more of that. He's more of a, this can come off like he is a utility player. Um, I do think it could backfire if he's a lot more headstrong with the, you know, refusing a Taylor renom or refusing any other ideas down the line right now, this is perfect. Um, I think it can also potentially help with, with drew stuff. Maybe, I mean, you already said
[00:48:31] it's far gone, so maybe it is far gone, but being like, Hey, drew said these, this idea in motion, none of your names were in there. Like, will that end up being inception? I don't think so, but I think, I think more likely the thought would be, uh, see drew has way too much. Scheming. Scheming. Yeah. That again, the, it's not looking good. Anytime drew does anything.
[00:48:55] Uh, how is he going to dare it to exist in this house? Yeah. Uh, so, um, so Kamu tells Devin's about drew's plan to backdoor and he likes it. Devin says, I like it too. He says, ah, the Rome treatment. Yes. Yes, exactly. Um, Kamu lets Devin's know that Mallory said she was coming for him and D, uh, and, uh, and at this point they also agree as, as Devin's loves to do
[00:49:24] Lyric would be the person they pull down from the block with the veto if they were to win it. Uh, so Lyric would come down, Jason would go up and it would be Jason, Mallory and Lala, uh, on the block with the intention of evicting either Jason or Mallory, Jason being the primary target. I don't love this for Lyric. Now I want to talk about this for a second because I feel like if Lyric is going to end up in the, for lack of a better reference,
[00:49:51] the princess peach spot where you have to like, we're constantly going to come to the next castle and find you, right? Are they going to just keep putting her on the block and be like, well, we'll just use the veto on her. Like, I don't like that. I think it diminishes lyrics agency. I think it's bad for Lyric. Ultimately staying in the house is great. So I'm hoping Lyric wins the veto herself outright. Um, in that situation, I'm so probably rooting for a Mallory veto for my own personal. Um, but for lyrics game, I don't love this. Let's just keep pulling her off the block
[00:50:20] thing. I don't think it's good for her. Yes, I agree. I agree. Uh, I also agree. I'd, I'd love for Mallory to win the veto a second time. I think that would be an interesting presence in the house for her to, uh, to have that. Um, so, uh, Kamu talks to Angela, to D to Haley. Um, he pitches the backdoor idea. Uh, and there is some rebuttal, uh, like, Hey, what about Taylor? You know, like I, what about
[00:50:50] Taylor as the backdoor target instead of Jason? Sorry. It's just so silly. Um, Kamu pretty much just flat out says, no, no, I have a good relationship with Taylor. Uh, remember as you pointed out, Kamu is the guy who has talked about, uh, this is the beauty of the Alliance. You guys can come after people I can't come after and I can come after people you guys can't come
[00:51:14] after. And so in Kamu's mind, Taylor is somebody that is close to him. So he says, you guys can go after Taylor for me. Now, of course, problem is Angela and D can't go after Taylor because they made an Alliance with her. Um, and, uh, and so they're trying to get him to do it, but the problem is he has a good relationship with Taylor. So, uh, so he denies this. Um, now, will he continue to
[00:51:41] say no to it? Honestly, I think so. Uh, like I said, Kamu, unlike a lot of the other players in this house tends to be very steady. It makes no sense for him to target Taylor, especially over Jason. This plan also kind of locks him into the Jason plan, um, in a way that nominating Jason initially wouldn't as much because with Jason and Mallory on the block, uh, somebody comes off the block.
[00:52:04] Yeah. Lyric is a good replacement pawn, but it kind of opens the door for, well, since I'm already out anything else I should pick up anybody else I should target. Uh, and, um, and because your targets are already all there on the block. Exactly. Whereas the new drew plan of backdooring Jason kind of locks you in a bit more Mallory lyric and Lala on the block. If say Mallory wins the veto or something
[00:52:31] along those lines, or anybody wins the veto. If you decide to target anybody else now, Jason's not even on the block at all, not even a possible backup target, not a person who can win a blockbuster against your real target. Like it makes things a lot harder to change in the future. Something that I hadn't really considered a whole lot with the blockbuster format to this point. Um, but the backdoor
[00:52:54] plan in this way really tends to lock you into that plan a much more so than, uh, than, than nominating your targets, uh, upright up front might have otherwise. And that's the opposite of how it normally works without a blockbuster, uh, where like without a blockbuster, a backdoor kind of opens you up to the possibility of like completely changing your mind because it's only two nominees and nobody wins a blockbuster to save themselves. Um, so interesting stuff, but, uh, but point being
[00:53:24] pretty unlikely to change, I think. Yeah. Cause your one replacement nom is one of your key targets. So like your life is fine after that. Exactly. Now with blockbuster, you need those targets on the block. So if you haven't put them up initially, that one replacement slot has to go to them. Exactly. Now, can I ask you a quick scenario question? Maybe I should have saved this for later, but I just can't not think about it. Jason off the block gets picked to play in the veto,
[00:53:51] wins the veto. It doesn't matter who he takes down. Let's say he takes down somebody who goes up. That's a good question. Yeah. It is a good question. Um, if we look at, I mean that at that point, there would certainly be a huge push for an alternative target. Um, there'd be a push for Taylor, of course. Um, and at that point he might need to give in, like he might need to say, okay,
[00:54:19] because he won't want to do Yash ideally. He won't want to do melody. Um, and anybody else is in the alliance. So, um, that's where it gets a little tricky and that's where I could see Taylor ending up on the block. And if Jason did something like pull Mallory, Taylor could become the target. Uh, so there is some danger there. Um, if say Jason pulled lyric, then Mallory would still be the
[00:54:45] primary target, but Taylor could become the secondary target, at least for the D and Angela portion of things. I do actually think Lala would be the third in line target for, uh, for people like Devins and drew and Kamu himself. Um, but you know, it's also one of those things where like, once you nominate Taylor, maybe now you might as well target her because you promised her safety
[00:55:11] and you've ruined the relationship. So, um, so, so Taylor could be the target very easily in that situation. I think I genuinely think that's where it could, like if this specific scenario plays out, that's where I think we end up by the end of the week, because it's like kind of broke that. Let me just silently kick her out while I have the chance before. Uh, cause like also again, no one else is like truly tied or at least he doesn't see it that way. And if D and Angela are going to, uh, or Angela specifically going to keep pushing Taylor, maybe at that point it does the tide shift that way.
[00:55:40] But I mean, we'll see. I, there's a very nice scenario has to play out there. It is a niche scenario, but it is certainly possible. Um, and I do think that like, and I'm, I'm, I'm excited to see what excited. I'm, I'm interested to see this tested. Uh, because I do feel like Kamu is one of the more predictable players on the board. Yeah. Uh, if I think about like, what is just the, the thing that makes the most sense without rocking the boat,
[00:56:07] that's probably what he's going to do. That's my read on him. I could be wrong. Maybe he goes, uh, all over the place this week. Uh, but, but I think he's going to be predictable. And so I think that's probably the most likely thing that's going to happen. There might be some, again, there might be, and, and I would say too, like maybe D pushes drew, maybe there's a push toward melody, but, and that's where maybe things could get really wild. Like juicy. In the event that Jason
[00:56:34] wins veto pulls Mallory off the block. And D is like, you know what? Now I don't like anybody leaving. What if I go for drew and makes a hard sell to drew or for drew. And then, and cause I don't think, I don't think Kamu would do drew, but he could, that could, it could backfire and he could go to drew and tell him that D did this and it could really backfire on D or it could work and it could
[00:57:03] happen to drew. And, but now it feels like I'm, you know, I'm talking about like BB 19 or all-stars and I'm talking about situations that are not likely going to happen just could happen. Yeah. We spent a lot of those seasons just sitting there cooking up with our own fantasies of what could happen. Um, but if it did, Taryn, this could be an all timer week. We'll see. Um, all right.
[00:57:26] So Kamu talks to Barrett and Chuck, uh, lets them know about the plan. Barrett, uh, uh, gives his blessing for Mallory to go up on the block plan. Makes sense. Um, Yash ends up joining them. Funny situation here, uh, with Yash in the room, they keep mentioning the tool shed because it's one of those situations. Like if the, if we're doing, if we're doing tool shed grateful comparisons,
[00:57:54] um, then Yash as a like ninth member is basically like the undeniable. He's like the Sam inclusion. Uh, he won the blockbuster and like there he's basically in the Alliance, but not really, at least in Kamu's Kamu's mind. Um, at least in this conversation, they keep talking about tool shed. I don't know how much he caught from this. We haven't really seen the result of it, but, uh,
[00:58:22] yeah. I don't think he caught any of it. I think very much intended not the sharpest tool in the shed that Yash. So it just went over his head or at least I was looking for facial reactions. There was nothing. There was no, that man's mind did not ring and nothing was happening at all. Um, so we'll see. I just, even if he picked up on it, Taryn, I don't think he cares because he's with
[00:58:46] the bros. This is fun. This is where he wants to be. Yeah. Um, all right. So, uh, Kamu talks to Drew again. He gets, he comes circles back to Drew and he says the backdoor plan is on. Oh, the handyman. Let's go. We did it. Uh, and this is where we get a lot of the more sort of interesting long-term stuff from the two of them. Uh, Kamu, this is when Kamu says watch BB 16. He really likes how they
[00:59:14] played. He says, they're like the hit men in the bomb squad, the handyman in the tool shed. Uh, and, uh, and Drew, uh, talks about this as well saying like, I feel like obviously to shut tool shed is great, but we know Drew doesn't like tool shed in general. In particular, this is what I think. I'm going to tell you what I think. And then I'm going to tell you what Drew says. Uh, I think based on what he's talked about with Barrett, that Drew wants Chuck and Haley
[00:59:42] gone. Uh, that Drew feels better with crossovers plus Kamu plus, uh, melody and Yash, something along those lines. Uh, like basically sub in melody and Yash for Chuck and Haley. Uh, he doesn't have a great relationship with Chuck and Haley in the same way he does with of course melody and Yash. He has a good relationship with Kamu and he feels like he's good with crossovers.
[01:00:03] Um, so what he tells Kamu is like long-term. I feel like our people, Yash, melody, like we want to bring them along. Like, I don't know if tool shed is our final eight and Kamu agrees. Um, and Drew says, Yash, he's like our Victoria. Oof. Love that. Wow. Incredible. Uh, he says, Devin's,
[01:00:33] he's basically says, this is like my ideal crew. Yash are Victoria. We got, I feel great about Devin's Barrett. These are all great people to run with long-term and Kamu agrees. He says, at some point we're going to have to leave that train, the tool shed train. Uh, he said, Kamu says we rock with the tool shed as long as we can, but eventually we're going to run out of people on the other side that, that, you know, that aren't their people, melody,
[01:01:01] Yash. Uh, like when it comes to melody or Yash, like we're not taking them out. Like there are people. Um, and Drew is like, might be sooner than you think. Like it might be soon that we need to do something about this. Um, and, uh, and Drew mentions like, obviously we're close with Haley and Chuck and Kamu says, I actually don't feel that great with Kamu, with Haley and Chuck. Um, and I think
[01:01:28] this is exactly what Drew wants to hear. Um, I think he was throwing out some bait there to, to like, just to give Kamu, uh, what he, what he felt like he wanted. Um, so, uh, so all of this to say, I think that in Drew's mind, again, he's pitching for like a long-term solution of, uh, uh, crossovers plus Kamu, melody, Yash, which would also include Dapper Dans, of course, with Yash
[01:01:53] there. Um, then he's very well insulated in all of these like little circles, um, overlapping one another. Uh, that's a great end game scenario for him. Um, he wants Haley and Chuck gone. He wants the rest of like Jason and Lyric and all of them gone. Uh, keep Mallory around for a little while, ideally, uh, as a nice little target who he has some, uh, some influence over. Um, and in Kamu's
[01:02:19] mind, um, I think he's thinking somewhat along those same lines. Remember in Kamu's mind, red corner still does exist. He is still closer to Haley and Chuck than I think he lets on. And this could be some friction between them eventually, but I do think that Kamu is in with, uh, with Drew more so than Drew is in with Kamu. Uh, but either way, this is definitely a very important relationship and alliance for, I think the overall direction of the game.
[01:02:49] I think that Kamu is living his best hitman fantasy. I think that's exactly what he wanted. That's exactly what he has, which is why I agree with you. I do think he is a lot more in this. Whereas for Drew, the fantasy is win, um, and win with whatever numbers he needs there. So I do not think Kamu is necessarily his end game by any means necessary. I don't have much else to Adam, what you said, cause I think you've, uh, summarized everything there perfectly. I do have a question that just entered my mind about like two minutes ago that I want to ask you.
[01:03:19] So, because, and this stems from the fact that I do not like the name, the handyman, I don't like it, but I have to ask you, we're on the 28th season at some point, or has this happened before at some point, can someone come up with the Alliance name that has already existed down big brother memory lane? And would they be allowed to use it? Or do you think production would be like, you have to name it something else? Cause that's already been a thing. We've had history of this.
[01:03:43] You know what? Um, we've had very similar, I mean, crossovers and crossroads already exists. Um, I think, I think that big brother, it doesn't do this officially, but I think big brother operates in the way that I at least assume sports operate because this is my limited knowledge of sports in that, uh, if, if the Alliance is prominent enough,
[01:04:09] they retire the name, uh, in the number, so to speak. Um, the, the, like nobody can be the renegades in the big brother house, unless you are Dan or Memphis, uh, nobody can be chill town unless you're, uh, really at this point will, um, and, uh, and so on and so forth. Like, um, you know, you can't, you can't take a name unless you were part of the original name. If it was prominent,
[01:04:36] if it wasn't prominent, if it was just like one of these workshop names that never even makes the show or just like very loosely makes the show. And then it's sort of like goes away very quickly. Um, like something like red corner could theoretically, I think be used 10 years from now if it never comes up again on the season. Uh, but, um, but I think, you know, if it, if it's prominent enough, it gets retired. I like that. Um, because I did see someone mentioned in the chat, the regulators, that's a
[01:05:06] good one to bring back. Someone should reboot that idea. I think that could be a fun name because I do think there are good names that no offense to any of the players who were in them got wasted because they did not reach their full potential and kind of went by the wayside. So just bring them back. Oh, triple S. Can you add 2.0 after the name? And honestly, I think you could. Mm-hmm. What about the second? You're like, we are the pen, the regulators, the second. It's a little weird.
[01:05:35] Yeah. It doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well. 2.0 is a lot easier. Yeah. Yeah. Um, all right. So, uh, so interesting stuff with Drew and Kamu here. Um, and I'm going to say again, I think that the fact that Drew is moving in this way is I'm still going to say like, this is the fault in some ways. I do think this is how Drew is always going to operate,
[01:05:59] but like Drew should, and maybe he does, but like, okay. What I'm going to say is this is why D and Angela, instead of spending time not trusting Drew and smack talking Drew amongst themselves and to other house guests, uh, when they can't do anything about it should instead be focusing their energy on making sure Drew feels good with them because he is dangerous.
[01:06:26] And you should be working on that relationship, uh, keeping him close until you are actually ready to stab him in the back. Uh, all of this, like we got to test him. We got to keep Melly on the block, but not send her home. We've got to like talk about him to other people, including Kamu who did not say anything about it worth noting. Um, but like it's just dangerous stuff to, to, to operate in the way
[01:06:55] that they're operating. Um, it has now gotten officially, I would say to the point where, um, um, they do need to be wary of him as a general player. He hasn't been disloyal to them yet, which, and that's what they think he, they think he's been disloyal. Hasn't been yet. Uh, but again, because there's like no relationship there, they, they haven't really worked on at all. He's going to keep moving away from them. He's going to keep moving in a direction that is not
[01:07:22] good for them. And that is on them. Like they need to be working there. They, they successfully recognize that he's a good player, a dangerous player in the game. Great. Make sure he's not doing anything to you. That's all you can ask for at that point. Um, but that's also, I want to revisit a conversation we had last week, Karen. We are once again at a new HOH, HOH is Kamu straightforward week. The side with the power has more power. Steam roll is going to come up again
[01:07:50] in discourse this week. But I will say my point is if there were seven Kamus in the Alliance, I'm like, all right, it's damned. Let's lock it down. It's a steamroll. We'll see you next week. There is enough dynamics within this majority Alliance that I think chaos can reign supreme. And we are currently starting to watch that happen because for as long as the status quo is maintained, if you have players who are messy or self-interested or just curious on other people,
[01:08:20] they're going to make other connections and they're going to get themselves into a corner where when they do in power, they don't know who to put up or when they do in power, will they end up switching out on switching out on somebody? I think that's entirely possible. I don't think it's fully locked in. Maybe that's me tough and copium. I don't know, but I like it. I think Drew is adding a lot by simply existing because other people are paranoid of him. I think Angela is sowing a lot of uncertainty in this Alliance because of her paranoia over
[01:08:48] Drew or her switch ups on people. So I think there's a lot that could happen. Again, hoping. I agree. I think that the odds are in our favor that this is the quiet before the storm. The storm could have come this week and that's where my own disappointment came in. I was ready for things to pop off and Kamu was like kind of the one guy that I felt like would prevent the storm
[01:09:15] from coming because there is a storm coming. I think Kamu will keep things calm this week, but there are high odds that the storm comes next week with two caveats. One is that because of the powers, the storm is almost guaranteed to go in favor of the vets. Although theoretically, if it is Devin's, there's a two in five chance that he still gets a punishment if that's even how
[01:09:43] it works. Because they said they're going to list the... So tonight on Unlocked, they're going to list all of the powers and all of the punishments. And actually, I think it's... If it works the way I think it is, there's actually six powers and six punishments, I believe. And we're just not going to see all of them, I think. I think that's what it looked like on the board. That makes sense. This is speculation. Yeah. No, that makes sense because they said power or punishment for every
[01:10:11] week. So there should be six of each option on the table. Exactly. And so theoretically, if you take one punishment off the board, it's actually now you have a like six in 11 chance of getting a power the next time. So not actually as good as if it were only three and three. But if Devin's gets a punishment instead of a power this week, I think that is again, a potentially massive shift in how things will go following week, especially since D is not even
[01:10:39] guaranteed to get the vote, let alone a power at that point. So would they do it that way? Would they make it theoretically possible that like four out of the six things are punishments and there's only two powers? Like, because like theoretically the odds of that happening are not that wild. Who knows? But either way, I think a storm is probably coming. This could be as unlucky as all-stars and where there was also a storm coming and it just never came because they just kept
[01:11:09] winning. But we have a lot of people in this alliance who are going to jump ship. It was the same as in all-stars. Like there was time, there were times that there were people who, if they had won, they would have jumped ship, but they never did. So we'll see. But I share your optimism at this point. I think there's plenty of mess in this house and we'll see where it goes. Yash does let Lyric kind of like talk to Lyric at the end of the night. Like, hey, if you go up,
[01:11:37] you'll be fine. Like one of those things. And I can tell you that Lyric has been talking to Kamu during this update and he's been letting her know that the plans have changed and that she's going up on the block. So this is, I think this is pretty locked in in terms of initial noms. We'll see where it all goes for the rest of the week. But I think we're in for kind of a cruise control week for the most part, unless something really wild happens. But yeah, we'll see what goes on next week.
[01:12:06] And we'll see what happens with this power. Theoretically, if the power is powerful enough, that could also change things this week. But if Devin's is the one to get it, he's probably the least likely like if D got it, she might use it to backdoor drew. Devin's could still do it if D pushes him. I don't know. I mean, we literally watched Devin's buckle at the first chance of chaos last week. So it could happen. It's not impossible. But yeah, I think that even during a cruise control week
[01:12:33] this early in the game with the players we have in front of us, I think there's still a lot of foundation that's going to get laid down. There's still a lot of people trying to figure out their and not end game, but their second half of the game. So I still think we're going to have a lot of fun conversations building up. I think boredom can be the worst thing that happens in the house for some players because they end up acting out and doing the most. So I think we're going to have a lot of fun conversations along the way. At least that's what I'm hoping for here.
[01:13:01] And we will see what happens there with all of that. I had another point I wanted to bring up, but I haven't forgotten it. So I'll just move on. It happens. All right. That's about what we've got from yesterday. Pouya, is there anything else that you would like to bring up from yesterday? Yeah. One highlight, not game related and was pre-HOH. But when the feeds were on, there was this moment where Angela was laying down in her egg costume as she does by the couches.
[01:13:28] And she was whispering to herself, please, please don't have me get this advantage because of this costume for the HOH. She was very worried that this punishment was going, this costume was going to get in the way of whatever the HOH is. And legitimately, it was poetic. Within seconds, Big Brother announced that punishment was over and she didn't even hear it. Everyone else heard it and popped off. So we had a very fun de-egging ceremony where the egg was removed and then
[01:13:54] everyone kind of jumped around. That was a very fun moment. Again, no ramifications to anything, but if you wanted a little bit of chuckle, go find it on the socials. Yes. She hatched finally from the egg. What was funny to me was that after she got out of the egg costume, she went back to her laying spot in front of the, like on the floor in front of the couch, but without the egg. It's like, she's like, you know what? This kind of works.
[01:14:21] Yeah. You're comfortable in your spot. You're like, this is my comfort spot. And I like being here. It's like my cat. She just found a spot. She's like, this is my spot for a little while. I don't care. I don't care how uncomfortable it is. Oh yeah. All right. Absolutely. That's what we have for you then tonight, today. Check out the interview we did with Rome. And I thought it was a fun little interview. And that should be dropping after this podcast.
[01:14:47] And I will be live tonight on my Patreon watching, um, watching Unlocked where we will learn about these powers and, uh, some fun stuff ahead on Unlocked, uh, I would expect. And, uh, and I'll also be doing some live feed streams over on Patreon as well. So check those out. Uh, and that's about it. I'll be back tomorrow morning, 11 AM Eastern to update you on everything that happens today on the big brother 28 live feeds. There will also will be a recap for Unlocked tonight. So check that out.
[01:15:17] As well. Pooja, what do you got going on? I'll be live tonight at a 10 PM Eastern on the usual spot for the pad over on Twitch, twitch.tv slash Pooja and big brother season. Honestly, it ends up becoming a lot of us watching feeds while answering questions. So come through. If you're looking for people to hang out with, we have a good time. Um, Liana and I were supposed to record the pal last week. We have not done that. She did come into my room yesterday, Taryn, while I was doing the bingo cards on stream. And she said, cause she had just listened
[01:15:46] to the update yesterday from last week. And she was like, you'd be the level or like a measuring tape. I was like, okay, cool. She was like, my first thought was like, you know, the tool they put down like for the knee pads. I was like, okay, go leave the room. Why did you give me that? So Leon, I'm not looking forward to whatever she's going to say on the pal now, but at least now, you know how she sees me to check out that podcast when it drops. Um, and then otherwise I believe y'all will hear from me very soon.
[01:16:12] Talking big brother on a recap. Listen, to be fair, those knee pads, uh, that you have to use when you work on stuff. Uh, one of my favorite things, uh, when I, when I got those, it was a game changer. Uh, my knees were nice and protected. Uh, it was nice. I need to, I need to get to the bottom of why she picked that. Cause I will ask her, I'm like, is it because you feel protected with me? Is that what it is? Cause I don't know what she's going to say to him, but we'll find out. Maybe I don't want to find out.
[01:16:40] Like I don't want y'all to all know what she's going to say about me, but tune in to find out. We'll see. All right. Thank you all so much for joining us here today. And I will see all of you next time.
