BB26 Tuesday Live Feed Update: Cam Wants to Keep Kimo

BB26 Tuesday Live Feed Update: Cam Wants to Keep Kimo

Today, Taran and Kirsten MacInnis recap the live feeds from day 77 of Big Brother 26.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Every Morning Taran Armstrong, Toxic Brother Looking at the stuff from yesterday

[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_02]: All the drama, all the strategy and silliness From P.O. to H.O.H.

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Every single season, you know he is the reason You know what's happening

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Rob said that he could do it Tomorrow he will do it again

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Yesterday, the Big Brother 26 Live Feeds, it was day 77 in the house and not a whole lot to report on but there was a VEDA ceremony and you know discussions so we'll talk about it all and with me to talk about it all is Kirsten. How are you doing Kirsten?

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm doing great. Look at us Taran, we're the Sari and Felicia of the season, you and me.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Truly.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, as we all know, MJ, the H.O.H. nominated Kimo and Rubina won the VEDA, very heavily considered using it to put up Cam and maybe even send Cam home this week but after he talked with her and I cooled things off, got himself not on the block.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And so the plan coming into today is to not use the VEDA and to still evict Kimo. That's pretty much the plan.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And everything's going according to plan.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Not much again to report on that front. Of course, MJ and Chelsea in the morning come together. They agree once again, we're not using the VEDA. MJ is not using the VEDA and Kimo is still the target and that is the plan and they go into the VEDA ceremony. And for the first time in Big Brother 26, the VEDA was not used. Kimo and Rubina stay on the block.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_04]: It is the end of an era. And to me, the funniest part of all of this is after the VEDA ceremony is over, Rubina's like, Oh, I do not like this for us, Kimo. And it's like, well, yeah, one of you is leaving. What do you think?

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, listen. They had a lot of opportunity. MJ was so close to using that VEDA, but what are you going to do?

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, you could talk to the HOH, you know, like a little bit more. You could have a conversation instead of having a conversation about having the conversation, which has been kind of the whole season for Kimo and Rubina. But what can you do?

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_04]: That seems hard. It doesn't sound. It sounds like a difficult conversation. And, you know, I've been known to avoid a difficult conversation myself. So maybe I relate to it more than more than not.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Kimo does talk a bit about like regretting some things in the season in particular, how things went down with Quinn feels like things would be going better if Quinn was still in the game.

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I wish I could play this season over again with Quinn.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Okay. And if only you had had that opportunity this season.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it would have been so cool if there was the chance for Kimo and Rubina to play with Quinn in Big Brother 26. But it just didn't happen. It didn't exist. They didn't have that opportunity. It would have been so cool if they did.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: MJ and Chelsea talks more about going to the final two together. Decently long conversation about that. Two of them, it's got to be the two of them. Other people don't have a lot on their hands like Cam, stuff like that.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_01]: There was a bit of a thing that made the rounds yesterday because MJ was talking about how she feels like she's not gonna be able to articulate her game very well. And Chelsea was essentially like, don't worry about it. Taylor didn't articulate her game very well. Just stood on, you know, stood on what she did.

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like Monty out talked her in the end, but everyone knew what Taylor did. So it was totally chill.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And like, I really like that, like the quote discourse about Chelsea has been so wild this season and the last couple of weeks. And it's like, if you can recognize the game that Chelsea is playing, which is incredibly dominant and good.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you could recognize that she's lying to MJ so that MJ doesn't worry about having a good speech.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that is that I think is the the primary conclusion here is that she is likely lying about this. Honestly, like whatever. She can have bad opinions, too. Like it's not.

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, yeah. And that's also fine. That's also fine if she wants to just believe that Taylor had a bad speech. She's wrong, but she's she has freedom of speech. She's in the US of A. She's allowed to say it. She doesn't have to be right.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So, you know, I think that I think this is fairly common, too. I think that like when you see somebody marching to the wind, like we've seen with Chelsea for a little while and may or may not be true at this point.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that. On top of other things, like there's a there's a desire to like root against them and to like find ways like find faults in them, find things to be upset about.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, nothing too bad is going on here. Like this is especially compared to last year.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God. Literally, like you and Matt were talking yesterday about some of that. We don't need to relitigate the end game of BB 25. But like the Big Brother fandom loves underdogs, undercats maybe. And so when someone has a dominant and winning game, it's really easy to like want to root against them.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_04]: And oftentimes in Big Brother, especially on Big Brother Twitter, you you want a reason to quote Vanessa Roos, you need incentives to hate people. So you're looking for the things that they're doing wrong and the things that you don't like about them to be like, oh, that's why I don't like this person. Rather, you could just you could just say you prefer an underdog.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Like you can just say that you don't have to look for reasons. This season has been just such a breath of fresh air because nothing so horrible has happened compared to the past couple of years where there's been at least one like really, really bad thing and then some like kind of bad stuff. Just you can free yourself. You can just like everyone and enjoy the season.

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_01]: We're all we're all just chilling. That's what we're doing.

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Especially at this point, things have slowed down because it's nearly over.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps the most interesting thing that happened yesterday, and I don't think it will go anywhere, but it was kind of interesting, was that Kimo did a little bit of campaigning. He talked to Chelsea, but she she blew him off.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_01]: She did not hear him out.

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But he also talked to Cam and Cam told Kimo that he wants him to stay this week.

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, I actually want you here. We got to we got to convince MJ and Chelsea of this or maybe even just Chelsea because, you know, I only need those two votes.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But but it's something I want, says Cam. And, you know, Cam in the past when he's wanted something, he's pushed pretty hard.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, there's today, there's tomorrow. So there's certainly time for this to shift. MJ and Chelsea are fairly set on evicting Rubin or sorry, evicting Kimo and keeping Rubina at this point.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Not that they trust her, but they just feel like they have a rapport with her because of the women's thing.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like super strong, but they are pretty set in it.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So if Cam wants to make a move, he will probably have to to act fairly soon.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And whether or not he's able to make something like this happen is another question.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm also not sure that he needs to make this move.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that like it doesn't really matter one way or the other between Rubina and Kimo.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And quite honestly, I think he has a better shot of beating Rubina in the end if he's thinking about final two scenarios.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's tough.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that that's why it could work if Cam applies pressure to shift the target, because it really is such a toss up between Kimo and Rubina that you maybe could convince Chelsea or MJ or both to make that call.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Like it could happen. There's a chance.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I also think like at this point, they maybe can't start talking as openly about wanting to take out competition threats because obviously MJ is the biggest one.

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_04]: You can't get her this week anyway, so you maybe don't want that in the zeitgeist currently.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_04]: But like Kimo has a marginally better record than Rubina, so that could be a reason to take him out.

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Who knows? There's not a lot going on.

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like at this point more so looking towards next week and what's going to happen and just thinking about how much MJ seems to really push herself into the worst positions.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Because I feel like final five HOH is not the best HOH to win.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Statistically, the final four HOH wins the game a lot of the time.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_04]: She now can't be that person, which obviously doesn't disqualify her.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But I would rather have the final four HOH for sure if I could choose.

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_04]: And it seems like she has the ability to kind of choose.

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I guess the most interesting thing here that's worth noting in terms of Cam is that Cam is the only person left who has gotten his way every single time with the votes over the last four or so weeks.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Starting with Quinn, he wanted Quinn, he pushed Quinn.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Every single eviction since then has been the person he wanted.

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_01]: You could maybe argue that he wavered on T-Core, but MJ lost Leah, Chelsea lost T-Core.

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Cam pushed for both of those at varying times.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_01]: So is this the time that Cam fails if he actually does want Kimo?

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Because the other part of this is that he might be lying to Kimo.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_04]: It really could be jury management.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll see today if Cam starts having kind of targeted conversations about where the vote goes on if this is genuine or not.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_04]: It's again, it doesn't matter either way.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know.

[00:12:12] Yeah.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was I was going to start with Tucker for Cam, but then Joseph went.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Not that he didn't want Joseph to go, but he wasn't in on that vote.

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_01]: But only because nobody bothered to tell him because it happened last minute.

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_04]: He would have been in on it.

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_04]: He just wasn't told.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And that's the type of thing where even though he wasn't told, that is something that could be twisted to be like since Joseph's eviction, everyone who's gone home has been who I want to go home.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Like you can make that speech.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_04]: And if it's really flashy at the end, sometimes sometimes people believe things that aren't true.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_04]: If you say it with confidence at the end in your final speech.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Another thing worth noting, Kimo and Rubina had a conversation as they do.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_01]: They have many conversations, but in particular, they were talking about bitter juries.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: And will we have a better jury this year?

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_04]: You think I know I love this because he was like, I would love to bring back a better jury.

[00:13:15] Hmm.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't even necessarily know what that would mean for this final.

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you're talking about MJ versus Chelsea, I don't think it means anything.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_01]: If you're talking about like Cam versus MJ or Chelsea, I think it means Cam winning, I would assume.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So, and I imagine that's part of like, because this happened shortly after Kimo's conversation with Cam about Cam wanting him to stay.

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_01]: They've been talking about how Chelsea beats everyone.

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Chelsea beats everyone. MJ is a big threat.

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_01]: MJ and Chelsea, MJ and Chelsea.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_01]: We need to take Cam.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_01]: He has a good conversation with Cam where and they've been hanging out with Cam.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: They really, I think, like Cam.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And now all of a sudden he's like, you know what?

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Bring back a better jury because I feel like he might be feeling like, you know, I would vote for Cam over those two potentially.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I like him better.

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, he hangs out with us.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_01]: He socializes with us.

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, you know, but also just yeah, that's how every jury votes.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_04]: They vote for who they like better.

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_04]: That's a big part of the Big Brother game.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Not always.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, not always, but a lot of the time you can make all the cutthroat moves.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_04]: You can do everything quote unquote right.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_04]: But if the people don't like you, it won't necessarily get the respect that maybe the people watching the show think that it should.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And so I don't even think of that as bitter.

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, okay, well, if Cam did a better job making them like him, then okay, that's fine.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_04]: But I don't care.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not someone who's ever going to get mad about how the jury votes because however they vote is how they feel is right.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_04]: And if people are bitter, someone made them bitter.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_04]: It's weird to plot to be bitter.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a little odd to me.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, I have, you know, the motive.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I have the intent.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_04]: I will be bitter.

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that's, I think, a little bit strange, but I also like, okay, go off, gang.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we did a podcast on that way back.

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_01]: But like the thing for me is that you don't have to be mad about people being bitter.

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's just it can be a useful descriptor in terms of motivation for a jury vote.

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I would say voting for somebody like Cam, who I think has done very good jury management in terms of relationships, not necessarily something that would be bitter.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Whereas like the voting against Paul for Josh, who they also hated.

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I think there's different descriptors that are accurate or useful.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think the way people talk about bitter jurors on social media specifically makes it seem like this very negative thing that the fan base hates.

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_04]: And so that makes me be like, no, like, it's okay to be bitter.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I think maybe in this situation, he's being extremely petty by planning to be quote unquote bitter.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I can see where people maybe won't love that energy if it comes to fruition.

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_04]: But the other thing is, it's looking like Kimo's going to go this week.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_04]: He'll go to the jury.

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_04]: He'll have a couple of days with the jury.

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that if there's already a sentiment growing there, and especially if he's talking about, oh, he misses Quinn and, you know, T-Core is there.

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that there's people who will have a level of influence over what Kimo's doing.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_04]: And I don't think that Kimo will have a lot of influence over what the other jurors are doing with regards to a vote.

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_04]: So it might not even pan out to be literally anything.

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm. Well, luckily, Kimo and Rubina plan to start a podcast, so we'll hear all about it.

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Listen, that is they should because they be yapping.

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_04]: They are two yappers.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_04]: They have lots to say.

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_04]: They never run out of conversation.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, I listen to an episode or two.

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll see how it goes.

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Really not much else here to talk about in the dredge.

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, so we're not going to talk about the lunch, meat and mayo.

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_04]: You don't want to talk about that?

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we can.

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's.

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Isn't that just a gluten free sandwich?

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess so.

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, but Cam was very offended by the lunch, meat and mayo that Kimo was eating.

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_04]: He had lunch, meat and mayo on a plate.

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was garbage.

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_04]: He's 36 years old.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, it's not.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Are we surprised?

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Just let people eat.

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Who cares?

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Who cares?

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_04]: There was a lot of discussion about food and tracking food.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_04]: And honestly, really hard stuff to listen to if you have any sort of history with issues with food or disordered eating.

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_04]: The least offensive thing going on about food was the mayo and lunch.

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't eat.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat mayonnaise.

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I would never eat it.

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_04]: But like, I don't know.

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_04]: People love mayonnaise.

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Probably tasted fine.

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Not a fan of mayonnaise.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't either.

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I think it's I think it's extremely sinister to mix eggs and oil together in that way.

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_04]: But like other people, other people like it.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_04]: And I would never judge them for eating it.

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's wrap this one up.

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Quick update for you today.

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, later tonight, we'll be back with the roundtable.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll rate these players and all that good stuff.

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So tune in for that tonight.

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, we'll be back tomorrow morning.

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Eleven a.m. Eastern to update you on everything that happens today on the Big Weather 26 live feeds.

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_01]: No episode tomorrow, but there will be a two hour episode on Thursday that will have, I'm sure, the veto and the eviction.

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So stay tuned for all of that.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Check out the summit coverage we got going on.

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I wasn't sure if you were saying it like that on yesterday's update or if it was the soundboard because I was listening.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm dead.

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, that's amazing.

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know.

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know if it was you or if it was the soundboard.

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, people confuse me for Manu Bennett all the time.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's it's you know, it's pretty common.

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, don't get a big head.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Check out our coverage of the summit.

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Check out the circle coverage.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Be sure to check out our scripted coverage over at we know scripted TV.

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_01]: If you want to check out the tastemakers podcast, replace and I talk about all kinds of good TV movie stuff.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_01]: All right, Kirsten, what are you going on?

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_04]: So I was on this week's episode of the diary room podcast with Matt and Amman.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_04]: It just dropped today.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_04]: The wheel was literally out of control.

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Some of the most insane matchups of Big Brother players you can imagine.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_04]: It'd be like, oh, well, this person could never get through.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_04]: This will be an easy matchup.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_04]: And then the wheel give someone it was like, oh, now we have to talk about it.

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_04]: So that was super fun.

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Check that out every week.

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Sasha Joseph and I are talking about pop culture, celebrity gossip and trending topics over on Mess Magnets.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Mess Magnets will be dropping later this week.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_04]: We're delayed because of the Jewish holidays.

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_04]: And you can follow me everywhere.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch, all of it at Kirsten said what?

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you all so much for joining us here today.
