[00:02:41] Coming to you live from the North Pole. Hey, it's Rob. Has a podcast and now here's the guy who's just polishing off a little deli nog.

[00:02:50] Mmm. Mayowy. I'm Rob Cisternino. Hello everybody. Welcome back to Reindeer Games Night 5 of Reindeer Games.

[00:03:02] If you can believe it, we are about 48 hours away from crowning the winner of the Reindeer Games

[00:03:07] and here to talk about it. And another amazing group of four here starting with the man who's

[00:03:14] been following it all. Taren Armstrong. Taren, how are you?

[00:03:17] When we're all well, Rob, but something just tastes a little. Something tastes fishy. Yep.

[00:03:24] Yep. Nope. That'll be on Thursday when Steven gives out the award for the best Reindeer's Games player.

[00:03:31] Look at me. Queuing up some promos. Yeah, get ready for that. Call me the next repel.

[00:03:38] Yeah, Steven was asking on Twitter like I heard there was a very equitable competition. Let me

[00:03:42] check that out. Not tonight, Steven. All right. Back with us to talk some Reindeer Games.

[00:03:50] Look, so look how festive is Amon Adwin. Amon, how are you?

[00:03:55] Oh, you know, like you, Rob, I'm finishing off some chicken foot nog, you know.

[00:04:00] Oh, chicken foot nog. Yeah. Are there nails?

[00:04:03] Oh, there's plenty of nails. Yeah. And nail beds. Oh my God. I'm so happy to be here

[00:04:09] talking about BB Reindeer's Games. Like Christmas, I'm a huge fan if people cannot tell.

[00:04:15] Big brother, I'm a huge fan if people cannot tell. So when you mash those two things together,

[00:04:21] like it is complete bliss for me. Okay. What's the missing ingredient for you?

[00:04:27] We have big brother, we have Christmas. What is it?

[00:04:30] Liefeeds. I don't know. Yeah, Liefeeds. Well done. All right. And then I'm sure a

[00:04:38] woman who would try any of the nogs here this time of year, it's Jenny Autumn. Jenny, how are you?

[00:04:44] You're right. I was saying that the squid nog, I don't know if that sounds good, but Rob,

[00:04:50] on the fifth day of Reindeer Games, big brother gave to me five remaining players,

[00:04:57] four chances at safety, three strong women, two acceptable men, and one devastating loss

[00:05:05] of Brittany. No, I'm not okay tonight. But I am really glad to be here. I am not a holiday person,

[00:05:11] but I have been in the holiday spirit. Yeah. Listen, I don't want to, I don't necessarily want to be in that.

[00:05:21] And maybe, but despite being upset at the loss of Brittany tonight, I've been really enjoying this.

[00:05:28] Okay. Happy to be here. All right. Happy to have you here with us to talk about it all as the stage

[00:05:34] is set for the titular Reindeer Games coming Thursday night. So we'll take one night off for the

[00:05:42] Survivor 45 finale and then on Thursday, we'll crown the winner of Reindeer Games. Of course,

[00:05:48] we'll be live after all of that. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, live at 8 p.m. on

[00:05:55] Thursday with podcast at 9 p.m. I think so. One hour edition of the finale of Reindeer Games.

[00:06:02] Taren, they called it season one of Reindeer Games.

[00:06:06] Hopeful, clearly. Yeah. You know, I feel like we started very strong on Reindeer Games. The first

[00:06:13] week I was like, survivor who? It's about Reindeer Games. I am starting to feel like

[00:06:20] I'm glad it's over. Yeah, we can wrap it up. Yeah, just it was just the right size. I think.

[00:06:27] Right. Amon. Okay. We haven't gotten to hear from you yet about Reindeer Games. What's been your

[00:06:31] take? I've loved it. From the moment that it started from like the little tinkly, tinkly music

[00:06:38] in the intro, the animated intro, the way that the house is decorated, everything has just been

[00:06:45] I just want to be in it. I want to be a part of it. I just want to like walk inside that house.

[00:06:51] I've just been over the moon. That being said, I do think that part of the novelty of it is that

[00:06:58] it is nice and short and sweet. And so I am sort of happy that I'm glad that they did some of the

[00:07:04] heavier episodes in the first week. And now we're getting like sort of like bite sizes in

[00:07:07] the second week leading up to this finale. So I'm excited to see who wins. I am a little

[00:07:12] sad to see that it's already gone, but like I'm happy. I don't necessarily know if I need a Reindeer

[00:07:19] Games season two next Christmas. If this was like an every three year type of deal, I would be much

[00:07:26] more like you want to do more like the Olympics of like something like that. Like I don't want

[00:07:32] people coming into the show being like, I'm going to be on the Reindeer Games if I don't

[00:07:35] win, you know what I mean? I'm going to screw that. Like no, I want this like an unpredictable

[00:07:39] type of like, you know, non-traditional schedule. Yeah. The new cast of legends. Exactly. Exactly.

[00:07:46] What if they like, you know, kept us on our toes by just missed toes?

[00:07:53] Like a bite size, you know, big brother type show like this similar structure,

[00:08:00] but at random times of the year to coincide with other holidays so we can spread the joy

[00:08:07] a little bit. You never quite might know like when it's going to come. So it's like

[00:08:12] Presidents Day games. You went straight to Presidents Day. Yeah. God's, listen, we're all asking,

[00:08:20] listen, it doesn't even exist in my country because you do not have a president. Yes. You

[00:08:23] know the Canadians love Presidents Day. Well, I'm saying is it not a good idea? Because no

[00:08:28] one's going to see it coming. And this is why big brother Reindeer Games has been so delightful

[00:08:35] because one, we didn't really know it was coming. It kind of got like, you know, brought up very last

[00:08:40] minute. It was poorly, like it was packaged to us poorly. So the expectations were in hell.

[00:08:46] And it's been delightful and look how happy like no one people aren't really fighting on Twitter.

[00:08:53] And it's just been a nice treat. So like why not, you know, just hit us with it at random

[00:08:57] times of the year when we might not expect it. And then it's like bonus and we're happy. Like

[00:09:03] I just why not? Yeah. Well, I don't know if big brother is so good at keeping secrets from us.

[00:09:09] No, actually, if they're pre-taped again, you know, that's, you know, the spoilers were already

[00:09:14] spoiled and like I was getting spoilers for the spoilers. It was crazy. Yeah. But it's a lot

[00:09:18] of wrong spoilers out there too. So that's what I think about this. Yeah. So that's the,

[00:09:23] you know, you can get a real spoiler, but you get a wrong spoiler also. It kind of

[00:09:26] nullifies it. I feel like most of the times I've been watching live, the last like three to four

[00:09:33] episodes, people have like, Oh no, it's spoiled. You can't make the prediction about who gets

[00:09:37] eliminated. And then they're like, Oh wow, the spoiler was wrong. Yeah. Like over and over and

[00:09:41] over. So I don't know. I feel like, I feel like they're probably just wrong.

[00:09:46] Yeah. I saw a certain account that likes to get the spoilers today with a like, okay,

[00:09:53] well, I know who's getting voted out tonight. And there was like a gif of Ariana Grande.

[00:09:59] Not what happened. Okay. Yeah.

[00:10:03] Yeah. That's what?

[00:10:04] Maybe just meant a warm-up.

[00:10:05] Yeah. Yeah. Close enough. Yeah. I would be in favor of doing this every year,

[00:10:10] especially if they got back to like a normal schedule with big brother and they brought back

[00:10:15] even a person from big brother 26. And it had been like four months since you had seen them.

[00:10:19] I think you'd be like a little bit more excited to see somebody go right into the reindeer games.

[00:10:25] So I think that there is like plenty of reason to do this again, but that'll wait till next year

[00:10:30] because we still got to get through tonight's reindeer games. And it was Brittany Haynes who

[00:10:37] ultimately didn't go. I feel like the big decision was Taylor had to decide who to bring with

[00:10:43] her into the reindeer games. And I get why, okay, you know, she wants to bring somebody that would

[00:10:51] be probably easier to beat. But why Nicole over Brittany in that spot?

[00:10:57] I don't know. I don't. I mean, I guess it's just a testament to Nicole, right? Like it just,

[00:11:05] you know, is what we've, some of us have been singing about her for the past few years.

[00:11:09] She's just sort of like good at like just snaking her way in coming off as unassuming.

[00:11:14] We see it every season and then she ends up getting away with it. And here we are again,

[00:11:18] like, you know, and maybe she benefits a little bit from the fact that Taylor isn't, you know,

[00:11:23] she's just a recent watcher of the show. So she might know who Nicole is as like,

[00:11:28] you know, a general abstract big brother player, but like the inner workings of her

[00:11:32] game, she might not have had enough time to really let that sink in because I know that

[00:11:35] if anybody else were up to maybe like Nicole again, no. So yeah, I think, I think she would

[00:11:40] be benefited from a lot of ways and Taylor's sort of having a blind spot for her.

[00:11:44] Tara, what are we missing?

[00:11:46] Oh, so I mean, from my perspective, I would have picked Nicole over Brittany. I'm,

[00:11:50] I'm way, like, I, I mean, I think Nicole and Brittany, they're both great competitors,

[00:11:55] but like, especially the kinds of comps I'm expecting to be in the finale,

[00:11:59] like Brittany is just really good at puzzles. She's really good at quizzes.

[00:12:02] She's really good at the logic stuff. And basically she's, I think, at least on par with

[00:12:08] Nicole. So like, I'm going to be a little more worried about, about Brittany than I am about

[00:12:14] Nicole. I'd probably pick Nicole for that reason if there were no personal stakes involved.

[00:12:19] However, I think that based on a tweet that Taylor made, she saw it a little bit differently.

[00:12:26] Oh, there it is. She, she saw, she thought that, hey, I just saw Nicole beat Josh

[00:12:32] so I want to make sure I have Nicole with me to take on the, you know, Xavier Frankies of the world

[00:12:41] in the finals because I need, you know, I need her help to do that because I don't want to just lose

[00:12:47] to these guys, which, you know, I think makes a kind of sense, but it's not something that I

[00:12:55] think I would have been thinking along the lines of I think I would have. But again,

[00:13:00] it's just like, this is just another one of these decisions where it's just like,

[00:13:03] we're talking about Brittany versus Nicole. Brittany has better stats than Nicole for the

[00:13:07] record. I'd spend a lot of time on that. But, but at the end of the day, they're both just,

[00:13:13] they're both just good competitors. Like there's not a lot of difference.

[00:13:16] Okay. So Brittany ends up going out and it looked like for like a second maybe she's going to

[00:13:23] pull off another miracle here in the reindeer games. And Jenny, were you thinking that Brittany

[00:13:30] had a shot to pull it out ever? Absolutely not. I had zero hope from the moment she started

[00:13:35] telegraphing this in the diarum because I could tell she had been crying and that she was

[00:13:38] trying to hold it together. Yeah. I had no hope and it really hurt. And I, it was very,

[00:13:44] very difficult to watch when, when Nicole said this is so hard to watch, I was like, yes,

[00:13:49] same because I already knew it was over. You know, I was worried about seeing her against X,

[00:13:55] but I was like, Hey, we don't know what the comp's going to be. Like she's really good at everything

[00:13:59] Terrin just said, she's really good at puzzles. She's like, she's very smart. If it's like a

[00:14:04] she almost won the trivia against Frankie, like this, this could be okay. And then the second

[00:14:10] I saw the zip line and you have to use your body to kick over giant like blocks. I was like,

[00:14:15] it's a wrap. And then I saw her face in the diarum. I could tell she was putting on a brave

[00:14:20] face as like, no, it's over. So I had to watch it like painfully and slowly. It was, it was hard.

[00:14:27] But they tried to make it interesting, I guess so I'll give them that.

[00:14:31] They did. I would think that opposite to you though, Jenny, I, I, I was thinking, oh,

[00:14:36] this is the big through line of big of reindeer games for Brittany Hain. She's the one,

[00:14:40] the constant underdog. She's always going to be underestimated and she doubts herself even.

[00:14:44] And then in the end, she's Rudolph the red nose reindeer and just is able to just

[00:14:49] take them all the way home. You know what I mean? So when I saw those tears

[00:14:52] in her eyes or in the diorama, I thought that was like her crying again after being like,

[00:14:57] I have to fight to my death again. And I did. So I was expecting to see that but no, no, it's

[00:15:04] a with X again. We don't usually have to read the edit of big brother. Usually there's nothing

[00:15:10] to read. But I have noticed a pattern so far, which is that if they say in the diorama like,

[00:15:16] Oh, I think I could win this one. They don't win that one. And so like,

[00:15:21] especially when it comes to Brittany in this case, who like the previous time it was looking

[00:15:26] like she was the underdog who might have a chance to win. She was, it was all about how

[00:15:30] she had absolutely no shot in the world. And then in this one, she was like, Hey,

[00:15:36] maybe I, maybe I can pull something out. I don't know. And it was like, okay,

[00:15:39] she didn't win. It says didn't happen. And then yeah, you see the competition and it's like,

[00:15:44] we have how many minutes left in this episode? It's over. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let's talk

[00:15:49] about the competition because I checked out Twitter as it was going on. Everybody felt like,

[00:15:55] okay, so much for the equitable competitions. Was this one as bad as it seemed to Twitter?

[00:16:03] I would say yes. I think the outcome was maybe closer than you would have expected, mostly because

[00:16:10] of two major factors. One, Xavier massively screwed up. And what we talk about with these

[00:16:15] kinds of competitions is that basically you have to hope that the big physical player massively

[00:16:20] screws up and that you play perfect. And she didn't play perfect. And he did massively

[00:16:25] screw up. And then the other thing is that she never even would have made it at all,

[00:16:29] if not for some friendly advice from the crowd, and they weren't supposed to do that apparently.

[00:16:33] So it was literally broken rules to even get her that far. And who knows what would have happened

[00:16:38] if she actually won since it was broken rules. So the only thing I would say though is that it

[00:16:44] seemed like not so much that it was like that she physically couldn't do it, but she seemed

[00:16:48] to have the wrong strategy to try to do it. Like once she got going, she seemed like she

[00:16:53] was pretty good at taking out the blocks. I mean, I would say that like a major difference there is

[00:16:59] that Xavier doesn't need any strategy to do it. He can just go do it in one or two tries and her

[00:17:07] with the perfect exact strategy will still take like five or six tries. Unfortunately for her,

[00:17:14] she doesn't know the perfect exact strategy. So it takes much longer. And so you know,

[00:17:19] it's again, and even if she had the perfect strategy, she still would have taken three times

[00:17:24] at least as long as him to do that part. Right. X is just too big, you know, like he doesn't

[00:17:28] He's like a foot taller than her. Right. He's got like, he's got at least

[00:17:33] if like a hundred pounds on Britney. So it's like height and weight.

[00:17:37] Height and weight, like his whole, like he can just jump off. He doesn't have to worry

[00:17:42] about getting momentum first because he's so like, you know, light. And even if they were

[00:17:45] doing the same thing, like the amount of like stuff that he would have been able to knock out

[00:17:49] with just one swing is like maybe like, you know, like Britney is like a fraction of that. So

[00:17:54] yeah, it was a little hard to watch that because it was like, damn, if you were a little bit bigger

[00:17:59] Britney, you probably would not have this issue. And I love Britney too. But Mrs. Brown Sugar

[00:18:05] in the chat says, unpopular opinion. This one comp wasn't equitable, but the chances of being

[00:18:09] put in are more random. It's not like the HOH is that everyone plays or all being tailored for tall

[00:18:16] athletic people. I mean, in this episode, we had like kind of a, you know, a milkshake tasting

[00:18:23] contest. We had a quiz and then we had one thing. So I don't think we could say that like, okay,

[00:18:29] we can't have anything that's physical. I think it's like when all the competitions are

[00:18:34] physical, but I don't think it's out of bounds for reindeer games to have a comp or two that are

[00:18:40] better for people who are athletic. I mean, I think that's why it's a lot more like it's, you know,

[00:18:45] it's more palatable this time, like watching, watching our faves go home because I mean,

[00:18:49] not only is it just a silly, you know, Christmas special, it's not really, you know, unless

[00:18:53] big brother in gear games ends up being like a yearly thing. It's not at this point,

[00:18:57] like really in the conversation of big brother Pantheon or whatever. So, but on top of that,

[00:19:01] like all of these comps have been so all over the place and random that if there is a comp that comes

[00:19:07] up and it happens to be someone else, someone else's forte and not everybody else is, it's like,

[00:19:11] all right, well, that was the luck of the draw. So I feel a lot better with it being this way.

[00:19:16] It sucks that it ended up this way. But you know, she got like, you know, compared to what we've

[00:19:23] had, especially most recently, you know, it's obviously I want there to be not so many

[00:19:29] physical competitions because I think you're going to get way more dynamic results when you have such,

[00:19:34] when you have trivia puzzles, social like, you know, types of comps. It's okay to throw some

[00:19:40] physical ones in there or ones that have a physical and it wasn't purely physical. There

[00:19:44] was a puzzle and the puzzle was almost the equalizer here. But it just was unfortunate

[00:19:50] that that it happened to be, you know, this one where there's such a height difference and,

[00:19:55] you know, like the amount of weight like that you needed for the velocity to like knock the

[00:20:00] blocks down. It just like it was a very, very bad combination of people to be doing a physical

[00:20:06] comp to make it like fair. I would have loved if there was so we knew there was going to be

[00:20:11] like multiple chances to save yourself during this episode. There was multiple comps.

[00:20:16] It would be nice if there was almost like hints when they're like choosing people

[00:20:21] on like who you're leaving behind. Like I know that there's an element of like luck and strategy.

[00:20:27] Like you can't, you can't plan it out too much because you have no idea what's coming next. You

[00:20:31] don't know if it's going to be a team thing. You don't know. But like, I just would love

[00:20:34] there to be like even sort of like riddles or like some sort of like clue to like what the

[00:20:39] comp might be. And it can be completely vague. But like to give you some sort of indication

[00:20:43] to get your wheels going for being like, because we even saw in last night's episode

[00:20:47] where like when they got put into pairs, their brains started going on like,

[00:20:50] okay, and if we're teamed up against each other, are we going to have to go against

[00:20:54] each other in Santas showdown? And it didn't end up being that way. So I would have like

[00:20:57] loved if there was a way that there was like almost kind of like a clue on what might be

[00:21:01] coming down the pipe without completely giving it away so that people can make decisions

[00:21:06] slightly informed, slightly. Well, how about this for an idea? There's either an entire

[00:21:12] competition or it's just part of the show that there are like clues or something that

[00:21:18] you like that basically one person has the ability to win by either putting the clues

[00:21:25] together or by winning the competition, the ability to have either a hint or just

[00:21:30] straight up for knowledge of what the competition is going to be or what it's

[00:21:33] going to entail. But that one person is not necessarily the same person who's in charge

[00:21:37] of making the decision. So that adds more of a social element where you now have to trust

[00:21:42] the information that they're giving you, are they working with you or they're giving you

[00:21:45] good information? Are they not working with you? Are they trying to lie to you to trick

[00:21:47] you into making the wrong decision about who to send in?

[00:21:51] And it could even just be like a word. Like it could be, you know what I mean? Like it's

[00:21:54] like you don't know what it is, but it could be like a hint and it's like literally

[00:21:57] amazing or something. Yes, kind of amazing way to answer. Why not? This is this

[00:22:03] survivor tradition. The show is already a mishmash of other shows. Anyway, it's Buddy

[00:22:09] the elf games. Okay? Like it's you know what I mean? It's yeah. What if they had pictures on

[00:22:13] the wall of what the competition is going to be like squid game?

[00:22:19] If that was the dude in the squid game, yeah. Like on the wall, the pictures are like

[00:22:23] we're like showing the people what the contest we're going to be. But

[00:22:26] yeah, there's like different shapes of factions that you can be a part of.

[00:22:30] There's a reindeer shape. There's a snowman shape. I'm here for Rob. Yeah. All right.

[00:22:35] Let's talk through the events of the night. You know, Nicole and Taylor talk things through

[00:22:42] after the events of Monday night's reindeer games. Nicole says she doesn't think it would make

[00:22:49] sense to go after Taylor. She's all in with the girls now. She wants to go after Frankie.

[00:22:55] She can't even believe she's saying that. Yeah. I mean, and I think this completely validates

[00:23:00] Taylor's decision last week that yes, in fact, the women do still feel they need to work with her.

[00:23:06] They do still feel like they need to take out Frankie and X. And it would have been even better

[00:23:12] if like they'd been able to keep Josh around, but like, you know, it is what it is.

[00:23:16] And now here they are like making the correct decision. All three of them

[00:23:22] in this circumstance, they do need to work together. They do need to take out Frankie and X.

[00:23:28] And when Taylor has another decision to make, she does not pick X to be safe. A second time.

[00:23:34] Okay. Yeah. We get our third of the reindeer games host and here comes Tiffany. I just

[00:23:41] want to say I wasn't on the podcast last night. Derek X was so funny on with everything with

[00:23:47] Jill Frost. So much. He oversold Jill Frost so much. It was so funny. But here's Tiffany.

[00:23:57] And Tiffany does a nice job here tonight. I know everybody was on Twitter going crazy for

[00:24:05] Tiffany looks great. She did. I mean, Derek came on the podcast. He talked about how

[00:24:12] Tiffany was in there making sure the outfit was right. And let me tell you, she did a good job.

[00:24:16] That's what I'm saying. I love the boobs and the boots with a T.

[00:24:28] I just want to remind everybody that I've never met. No, but we have that little nugget

[00:24:33] from DX about how they all like got the nuggets were in the nog actually.

[00:24:39] I thought they were able to give the designers like a little bit of input.

[00:24:44] Yeah. That makes me feel like, okay. I mean, you know, if Big Brother never works out again,

[00:24:49] it's less that you come back for all stars. You can always, you know, try to style

[00:24:52] some of these outfits. I'm here for it. Okay. All right. So she's here and we're getting into

[00:24:57] the naughty and nice challenge. And again, we have another musical interlude that's going

[00:25:03] to be courtesy of Elfie Buble. And we need to find the key to Santa's office.

[00:25:12] Nicole Francil has no problem finding the key. Yeah, that was fast.

[00:25:19] Quick as solve. I think we had on the naughty and nice challenge. And yeah,

[00:25:23] they've really degraded from the original like versions of this competition where it was like,

[00:25:29] find the right like song name, figure out the clues to determine which one of these things

[00:25:35] did the thing to put the shape in the hole. Right. Which like, to be like the first confirmed

[00:25:43] person to get into like the reindeer games have like it be like the most simple basic

[00:25:49] competition of the night is like hide and go seek and find a shape. Like I'll I'll

[00:25:56] answer to Nicole. She found it very fast. She did what she needed to do. Yeah.

[00:26:00] But it was like you are getting the easiest ride based on the easiest pump. It just is wild.

[00:26:06] Like as a parent of young children, like this is literally something that babies do of like put

[00:26:13] shapes into a hole that fits like. Hey, sometimes we all gotta review the basics. Okay. Nothing

[00:26:19] wrong with a little review. It would have been interesting, I think if they had to like at

[00:26:24] least like find at least like two separate pieces of a key that had to fit together

[00:26:29] to make the right shape like that might have been a little more interesting. I think.

[00:26:32] Okay. All right. Also, I know she didn't get in that way. I'm just

[00:26:38] Yes. Okay. Elfie is going to perform.

[00:26:44] Yeah. Okay. Is he Canadian? Like the real buble? Let me see the top part.

[00:26:49] Like in a in a season full of wacky musical performances from DJ Bowie Jane to,

[00:26:58] you know, Frosty Jill Frost and like Daniel Day Lewis.

[00:27:09] Daniel Derson Lewis. Like what are we like? This is just a regular performance. It was just

[00:27:16] there's no gimmick to it. Well, also the crooners were like fine. It was like,

[00:27:21] and they weren't even cranky. So those like I think would say those two performances

[00:27:24] like Jill Frost like wasn't wacky or anything. Oh, how dare you? Okay. She was like, she was

[00:27:34] Hey, Jill frost her streams. Okay. Winter is coming. She's so into the top of the

[00:27:42] Everest, you know, charts. Okay. I'm a Frosty.

[00:27:46] Yeah. Yeah. It's frost.

[00:27:50] Yeah. There's some parkour later. He was my favorite. I love Frosty.

[00:27:53] Yeah. Okay. So he plays Taylor was seemed smitten with Elfie Buble.

[00:28:02] Yeah. Maybe he just touches it. I won't chamber for her tastes, but not for me.

[00:28:09] I think there's you're not seeing much in the lodge.

[00:28:12] Yeah. This was this wasn't this was Taylor seeing the same. Jingle Hell. Yes. Jingle Hell. Yes.

[00:28:20] Yeah. Now this, this Buble was not bubbly enough for me. All right. All right. So

[00:28:26] Tiffany tells us there will be two jingle bell brawls here tonight. And so Nicole will get

[00:28:33] to pick one person to sit out or the advantage and disadvantage will be the exact same thing.

[00:28:39] Pick out one person to sit out of the comp and you'll have one less person to face off against

[00:28:46] and to the surprise of no one. Nicole tells Xavier to sit out. I mean, too bad like the

[00:28:52] competitions weren't in a different order because like it would have been like a benefit to have

[00:28:57] Xavier sit out of the competition. He actually won. Whereas I'm not sure Xavier is going to

[00:29:04] be a factor here in the seven nugs of Christmas. Yeah. I don't know much about X's palette.

[00:29:10] He was a bartender, Jenny. That's that is true. He was right. Definitely.

[00:29:16] So, you know, he might not have it might not have been anything, but yeah, it's you have to

[00:29:22] do it. You have to make sure at least that he's not going to compete here.

[00:29:27] I think the biggest issue with the episode, not that it was like bad. I think I think it was

[00:29:33] still fun. But in terms of like not quite matching the energy of the first week's episodes is that

[00:29:41] it does kind of feel like the creativity is starting to run dry. Like, there was no intrigue

[00:29:48] to this choice. We knew exactly what was going to happen. You always knew it exactly what

[00:29:52] was like you're always just going to pick like the biggest threat or like the person you're

[00:29:56] not like with like it was just too straightforward a decision. What I liked about the first few

[00:30:00] episodes is how complicated they made these decisions. Like, like, oh, you think you're

[00:30:05] making them being to be disciplined? Like, oh, you might have to actually betray your ally in

[00:30:08] order to succeed in the game. So yeah, there's almost like no social strategy left at this point

[00:30:14] in the reindeer games. We had an hour episode and four comps. You know what I mean? Like

[00:30:20] so and I don't think that was necessary. Like talking about squid games, like they found ways

[00:30:25] toward the end of that show to make things even more interesting and personal and

[00:30:31] maybe not towards the very up until the, up until the very end. So, so like I think that

[00:30:38] there was, there was more that could have been done here for sure. Okay. So all right.

[00:30:44] Jingle Bell Brawl one no Xavier sample the different eggnogs. And so there is a missing

[00:30:52] ingredient. You have to say what it is. We've definitely done versions of this on Big Brother

[00:30:58] proper, right? But not recently. Not recently. So there was a season that didn't actually happen.

[00:31:06] But like I think we all collectively dreamed it big brother celebrity three that I'm pretty sure

[00:31:11] they did one there. But this is I think an old school comp as well that's back in the day.

[00:31:15] They would do stuff like this. Is the same as the ice cream? Like no, no, that was just

[00:31:23] they had to like eat as much as they could. I was like, flavored ice cream. It was like

[00:31:28] jalapeno or something like that. Right. I believe in the past. This was a strictly a food competition.

[00:31:35] I don't know that they ever played it for power, but I could be wrong on that.

[00:31:40] But yeah, I mean, this is this I like this is great. This is exactly the kind of stuff

[00:31:43] we're talking about when we talk about like equitable equitable competitions. That said,

[00:31:47] I still think maybe slightly flawed design in that if it's a gross food competition,

[00:31:52] you want to see the gross food. They're just drinking the same thing over there.

[00:31:56] Because there's a reason they skipped over this because you can only watch somebody sip the

[00:31:59] same colored thing or at least vaguely samely colored thing. Like in go so many times before

[00:32:06] it gets a little old, you want to see them eat the like weird stuff, you know? Okay.

[00:32:12] And I'm not grossed out by like food things like this. Like I think that I probably would have been

[00:32:18] okay, but what killed me was having to listen to Nicole's gagging noises because like the smell

[00:32:24] of this, the taste of this that wouldn't have bothered me. It would be like listening to Nicole

[00:32:30] in the next booth going like that would send me over the edge. It was and I felt like I

[00:32:36] needed like a trigger warning in the episode being like just so you know that you're going

[00:32:41] to hear the most disgusting demonic gagging noises over and over again throughout like this next 10

[00:32:47] minute segment. It was terrible. But what I didn't understand about the calm and maybe yeah,

[00:32:53] again, I happened to black out sometimes during competitions, which made it for great a night

[00:32:57] for me when I have four, you know, challenges to watch. But were they where is it the same

[00:33:04] amount of ingredient choices for every single or did it change up each round? Because

[00:33:11] I was trying to figure out if it if there was like only like 16 choices on the board and it was

[00:33:15] the same 16 every time because like it became sort of just like pick an ingredient that probably

[00:33:22] would go with one of the with the rest of the things. Like it started to become obvious

[00:33:26] that they were putting things that would go with the rest of the ingredients in the dog.

[00:33:31] You wouldn't just put a random ingredient in your recipe, Jenny.

[00:33:34] But it would make it like yes, some of these things being made into like milkshakes or

[00:33:40] nog is disgusting in its own. But I think that what like makes it interesting is like having

[00:33:47] the mix of things you would never want to say it's obvious. Britney had zero points.

[00:33:53] Well, because she was thinking outside the box and or bun and she was thinking like,

[00:34:00] OK, well, that seems too obvious. Maybe it's this thing and it would just be like the thing

[00:34:05] that would go with the rest of the ingredients. Like it would be the mayo that goes on the turkey

[00:34:09] sandwich, you know what I mean? Yeah, I thought it was I thought it was like they had they had the

[00:34:16] ingredients for everything that was there for that specific nog. And then there was one that

[00:34:20] was X that you had to figure out you you knew what you were tasting like four out of five.

[00:34:24] And I think it was like four things in each in each thing. Yeah, four and you get the fifth.

[00:34:30] Yeah, you knew you knew the four but you needed one more. And I feel like I don't know.

[00:34:37] Yeah, I was thinking to myself like, oh, I could see next season,

[00:34:41] like when Aman is out first in the draft, like him drinking like a squid nog on the podcast.

[00:34:47] The squid nog sounded good.

[00:34:49] I'm on a lot of things that I want to consume. But I think I know what I don't want to.

[00:34:56] Aman's had like the chap. Slop. This is part of what makes this competition,

[00:35:06] I think really good in terms of equity is that like, yeah, it's a very specific skill

[00:35:12] of like tasting, which is cool because that's never going to come up in any other competition.

[00:35:17] Can you imagine this competition in Big Brother 25?

[00:35:22] Maybe maybe let's say in the end game, maybe let's say in like the final five.

[00:35:27] Felicia. Felicia.

[00:35:28] This was her call.

[00:35:29] Felicia. Felicia.

[00:35:30] Felicia.

[00:35:31] Big Brother winner.

[00:35:31] I'm going to say that that was a mayo.

[00:35:35] That's actually garlic salt, not garlic powder. It's different. It's so pure.

[00:35:41] That's a genuine skill that she has that some people will have over other people.

[00:35:46] And that's like, that's good because it's a singly, singularly tested skill.

[00:35:50] But what's interesting about this competition is that there are alternative methods of potentially

[00:35:55] getting this right as we saw with Frankie with some deductive reasoning. You can say, okay,

[00:35:58] well the color is a certain thing. Now I wouldn't have said you need coffee to make

[00:36:03] something brown but theoretically you could look at the color and maybe ascertain something from

[00:36:09] that or you could go Jenny's route and say, is there a pattern to the mixes of ingredients?

[00:36:14] Can I logic this out? And yeah.

[00:36:18] Oh, sorry. Continue.

[00:36:19] No, I mean that was basically the point is that there's, you know, it's just a very multifaceted

[00:36:25] kind of competition that leads to like very equitable results.

[00:36:30] I think it works.

[00:36:31] I think my problem was that it started off the way that I thought it was going to be with

[00:36:36] things that did not go together because I think the first one was like cranberry, mint, banana

[00:36:41] and sardine. Yeah, that was called the kitchen sink nog.

[00:36:45] Yeah. And so which in comparison to the others, yes, it was the kitchen sink and it probably

[00:36:52] tastes like a dirty, dirty kitchen sink. So that one I'm like, okay, we're putting things

[00:36:56] together that don't make sense. You have to like find what flavor you're tasting that isn't

[00:37:01] those four things. And then from there it just became like, it was like bread,

[00:37:05] turkey, cheese and pickle. And then it was mayo with it. And then like even the squid one,

[00:37:09] it was like squid and clam, like two fish, lemon and cocktail sauce. So things that you would have

[00:37:15] with like seafood and then parsley, which is a common garnish on that type of food.

[00:37:22] Like, and then it just became predictable. And that's why I was like, why did they do it

[00:37:26] that way? Like, why did they start with the first one that was like all over the place?

[00:37:30] Maybe this would just be in your wheelhouse, Jenny. I don't know if that's second nature

[00:37:33] to everybody. Yeah.

[00:37:36] If we agree to find out, I have a skill. Yeah. Should we replicate this competition?

[00:37:41] For yes. For a podcast? Yeah. Jenny, could we do the missing ingredient challenge for you?

[00:37:49] I'm in. Okay. Let me know. We'll send Phil the list of the things to get. Yeah.

[00:37:55] He'll go to get the groceries and we'll get it. We'll get a poppin. I want to know.

[00:38:00] Because I feel strongly about it, but I could be just talking out of my ass. Maybe I wouldn't

[00:38:03] be good at this. I'm on things that you can be good at too. So you better invite Jenny versus Amon.

[00:38:10] I'm just like, maybe we should make it like, I'm sure there's somebody else who wants to be a part

[00:38:15] of this nonsense. Okay. Well, there were some wild takes in this one. So starting with Brittany,

[00:38:23] who did very poorly in this one, starting with the kitchen sink, she said, okay, well,

[00:38:30] in this drink that had cranberry, mint, bananas and sardines, she definitely could taste

[00:38:35] the fish. So it's got to be tartar sauce. You put tartar sauce on fish, but tartar sauce doesn't

[00:38:42] taste like fish, right? Might have just been mental association because if she, if she always

[00:38:49] puts tartar sauce with her fish, then she's like, her brain is making a fish. You only have

[00:38:53] tartar sauce with fish. You probably think it tastes kind of fishy. Yeah. It's a little

[00:38:57] fishy. Okay. All right. People using tartar sauce for the size dip like, like the filet of fish

[00:39:05] or crab cakes. That's still fish though. Like what do you do with tartar sauce? Is there anything

[00:39:12] is there anything that people normally have tartar sauce with that is not fish related? I

[00:39:16] don't think people just like making fries and like no fish with it just doing the fries

[00:39:21] with the tartar sauce. Yeah, I support it. You know, I love that. That sounds great. Okay.

[00:39:27] All right. We have a deli nog, which Nicole used to work in the deli. She got that only one to get

[00:39:37] mayo. I like them all like slumdog millionairing their answers when the reality is they probably

[00:39:43] just all guessed most of the time. Taylor got the squid nog because it was green.

[00:39:51] Mm hmm. Taylor also seemed to get the barbecue nog.

[00:39:57] Oh, you know, we love a good barbecue. What was in the barbecue? I forget. They did like a

[00:40:01] they sped it up. Yeah. Again, it's like that. Yeah, of course, of course,

[00:40:06] this big beans and the yeah, I feel like I don't know if we got everything about the

[00:40:11] wing nog in the sushi nog. Yeah, what was in the window? I think that was the chicken feet.

[00:40:17] Oh, the one with two nails. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And then ultimately the fast food nog.

[00:40:27] Yeah. Yeah, this would have been my favorite one. Yeah. The guesses, the guesses like that were

[00:40:33] wrong made sense. Like going for french fries again, if you're starting to follow the pattern

[00:40:37] being like these are things that go with these other things like, you know, french fries is

[00:40:41] a good guess. So so is a fish filet. So the fish filet. Like one of the best things at

[00:40:47] McDonald's. Yeah, I think so. Okay. I concur. All right. Well, Taylor is going to win the jingle

[00:40:56] bell brawl and have a big decision to make. And she gets to decide who gets to come with her

[00:41:01] to the reindeer games. She's also the only person on the cast to never go down into a showdown.

[00:41:11] What a record. Okay. Congratulations to Taylor. And she meets with Nicole

[00:41:18] and Brittany and Frankie. And so she gets to choose one person. We didn't spend a ton of time on the

[00:41:25] deliberations. It was the only real like social game choice of the entire episode. And I felt

[00:41:32] like we got nothing at all from it. Like we barely even got like, did we even get any explanation

[00:41:38] from Taylor there beyond just like, you know, especially because it was like, I mean, this

[00:41:42] is a big moment. Like in the previous episode, a huge moment hinged on, is she going to send in

[00:41:48] Nicole or Xavier? She now has that choice again, theoretically, is she going to make the same

[00:41:55] choice? Is she has cut throat as she says she is, or does she really just need to feel

[00:42:01] I need to keep Xavier because she's friends with him or whatever people were saying yesterday.

[00:42:05] And it turns out she does have it in her. She cuts Xavier's throat. She puts in

[00:42:11] she takes Nicole with her. And like, I don't know, they just felt like we just went, whoop,

[00:42:17] it's over. Next comp. Yeah, we are. I mean, it's nice to have the shorter episodes,

[00:42:24] but like if you're going to do a short episode, at least give us all of like the most crucial

[00:42:28] parts that we probably should be seeing. So yeah, that was it does feel like we're like,

[00:42:33] just, you know, we're like running to the rain in the past two episodes. Only

[00:42:38] have one hour this week. Only one hour, only one hour. So if you're going to do this next week

[00:42:42] or next year, y'all need to be asking for a little bit more time in them slots. Okay, you're

[00:42:46] saying. But I, I, in terms of like Taylor's decision, I don't know. Yeah, I sort of like

[00:42:53] agree with what Taryn was saying at the beginning. Like it's sort of like, I think

[00:42:56] I probably would have leaned a little bit more towards Brittany, only because Brittany gets

[00:43:01] defeated so easily. And I think that's like half the battle when it comes to Brittany. So

[00:43:06] I feel like I'd rat, like if I'm thinking about someone that I want to beat in the end,

[00:43:10] I definitely want to go with someone who's we're going to talk to myself before they talk.

[00:43:14] Right. Yeah. Brittany Sykes herself out. She was defeated. She was the most defeated

[00:43:19] in the like hamster wheel comp that she got the best time of anybody in.

[00:43:23] Yeah. They say the devil works hard. Nicole Franza works harder.

[00:43:29] That's the thing is like, you know, Taylor makes one move against her and she's spooked.

[00:43:34] And she's like, I cannot cross her again. Like she's like, I got to make this right.

[00:43:38] You got to you have to trust in Taylor's karma at that point. I thought like again, these,

[00:43:42] these pitches to Taylor were very shortened. I thought like Brittany's seemed like the best.

[00:43:49] I thought Brittany was kind of hinting like, Hey, I'm struggling. I'm not going to be

[00:43:54] winning. Like we like don't worry about X. X can win his own way there. Like I need

[00:43:59] you to help me so that I can get there basically. And I didn't feel like Nicole really said

[00:44:05] as much. She didn't, it didn't really point to the things that Brittany pointed to.

[00:44:10] And if it just comes down to the fact that Taylor thinks that Nicole is more personally

[00:44:14] beatable for her, then I guess I can understand and respect that. But I just felt like,

[00:44:20] you know, you could be like, Hey, like it feels kind of close between Brittany and Nicole.

[00:44:28] Brittany's never won the game. I don't know. Like maybe I'll give her like,

[00:44:32] I want her to have a chance to potentially win this money for, I don't know, you can say whatever

[00:44:36] if you're worried about hurting people's feelings, you know what I mean? You can spin it that way.

[00:44:41] But it seems like she just really sees Nicole as the most beatable of the people left there.

[00:44:45] And if that's, that's how it is, that is, you don't know what the comps are going to be.

[00:44:49] So I don't respect that. I don't like it, but I can respect it.

[00:44:54] Yeah. I mean, I think at the end of the day, like again, it's just a choice where you're just picking

[00:44:59] between two very, very similar options. And like obviously we as the viewers have like

[00:45:06] an intense emotional investment in the decision. But like when it comes down to like,

[00:45:11] what's the better strategic decision? Like I don't think there is a concrete answer here

[00:45:15] at all, like even less so than last week. It's like, you don't know what the comps are.

[00:45:20] You don't know how they'll fare. They've both been good competitors. Like the

[00:45:24] they're both going to work with you to take out the guys. Like there's just,

[00:45:28] you know, there's just really not much there to work with.

[00:45:30] I just didn't understand the part where she was saying like,

[00:45:34] because she's, she's basically instead of saying that Nicole is someone she can beat,

[00:45:38] she was almost kind of saying she needed Nicole there to be going against Xavier and Frankie.

[00:45:45] But like for us, the viewers, we have no idea what reindeer games,

[00:45:50] like Final Four looks like and what that means. Like so I don't, it's which maybe is kind of

[00:45:56] like giving us hint that there is going to be some sort of benefit for her to have someone

[00:46:02] there that could potentially be beating the other two. But from what I would think is like,

[00:46:06] you'd be picking someone you think you can be also and not another strong competitor because

[00:46:12] you're worried about the other two. It's like, well then you're just filling yourself with like

[00:46:15] the three strongest people. I think I would be taking another person like that's

[00:46:19] easier to beat, but that's what I didn't understand about it.

[00:46:23] Ashley in the chat says, and I've been hearing that she's been talking more about this more

[00:46:27] than just the tweet. And Ashley in the chat says that she saw both Nicole and Brittany

[00:46:32] equally in terms of competitions in general. But if there was a knockout,

[00:46:37] she just felt like Nicole was like slightly more likely to beat a man than Brittany was.

[00:46:42] That's fair. I guess you have to like think of all the potential scenarios.

[00:46:46] Yeah, I mean, not for nothing. Nicole, like I said before, she can slither by and it's

[00:46:53] people like often will underestimate her because she comes off and she gives that sort

[00:46:56] of character that's like a little bit weaker than she is. But when it comes down to these

[00:46:59] comps, especially somebody with endurance comps, Nicole is nobody to be messed around with. So

[00:47:05] I mean, I can I guess I can kind of see that. I mean, we did she literally did just see Josh or

[00:47:12] yeah, Josh loose to Nicole. So I guess that would make sense in the split second moment that she has

[00:47:17] and it's like really, really short version of the game. So I get it.

[00:49:25] Let's talk about the second of our Jingle Bell Brawls tonight and we get our first real quiz.

[00:49:32] This is a little bit set up more like a traditional big brother competition in terms of okay,

[00:49:38] it turns out there were some memory challenges along the way in terms of all of these musical

[00:49:44] numbers that we saw and it was a battle between Brittany versus Frankie versus Xavier. I think

[00:49:54] that if Brittany is like okay, if she could have anything to do over time, I feel like the

[00:50:00] question that would you oh, she missed by two right? By one. No, it was just one. One. I

[00:50:06] feel like that that's where she's probably like, ah, if I would have had that. Yep. I mean,

[00:50:10] that was it. I mean, Brittany's really good at quizzes. That's where like a lot of her comps

[00:50:15] wins have been in and unfortunately so is Frankie. Frankie is too.

[00:50:22] And you know, it's this was a six question quiz instead of a seven question quiz, which is

[00:50:29] abnormal. And that by itself might have been the difference. You know what I mean? So

[00:50:33] it's just like it's, it's or if it had been a five question or like a four question quiz,

[00:50:40] it would have been a tie. So yeah, brutal, brutal outcome here. I think the thing because

[00:50:46] I've been thinking about this, this was just like didn't quite work for me. I think the thing,

[00:50:51] the reason was they changed how they do this a little bit. Normally in a quiz, you have them

[00:50:58] answering like spinning a thing or pressing a button and it shows their answer right away.

[00:51:03] And this one, it just said a locked. And so instead of being able to see what they answered

[00:51:09] immediately, I'm, I not only don't know the answer to the question because I have right.

[00:51:15] You could play along. But I also, I don't even know what they answer. I'm just waiting for

[00:51:19] them to press a button that then says locked. Then I'm waiting for the like the answer to

[00:51:24] be read. Then I'm trying to like quickly looking to see who said what. And it just,

[00:51:28] it just didn't quite work. I don't like that decision to put locked instead of just

[00:51:32] seeing their answer. I wondered if, so did you notice that Brittany kept kind of like

[00:51:37] moving around and looked like she was like, was there like a reflection being shown? And

[00:51:41] that's why they had it say locked and not the answer because I, I don't know. I just,

[00:51:47] I just remember like watching like she kept on like moving her head as if she was like trying to

[00:51:52] see something. And so it made me think that maybe that was the reason that they had it

[00:51:56] say locked because also like the letters meant nothing to us either. Like I'm with you,

[00:52:01] Teran. I'm like, I'm just waiting to find out like, okay, let's see if who answered

[00:52:05] differently and then find out what the actual answer is because I don't know either.

[00:52:09] But yeah, I feel like it would have be something.

[00:52:12] I feel like an easier solution than like creating an entire system where it's as locked

[00:52:16] is to just, you know, not put them in front of something reflect.

[00:52:20] Not do it in front of like a mirror.

[00:52:21] But who knows? Or just use the usual switchy block thingies.

[00:52:25] You know, then we have like on the live shows that they have them like,

[00:52:29] they have like the dividers and I don't know if they are like where they were to do those

[00:52:34] or if they felt like that for whatever reason, they didn't want to have like the,

[00:52:37] like a wall in between each of them. But for whatever reason, it was a different setup

[00:52:43] than what they normally do. And I think that in the live show, when they do this,

[00:52:46] it like works out to be more exciting. Yeah.

[00:52:50] And for whatever reason, they did it upstairs. So maybe it was like in like,

[00:52:53] what is normally the HOH room or something? Because when Frankie ultimately wins,

[00:52:58] they come out of a door, like the three of them and Taylor and Nicola downstairs.

[00:53:02] And like, what happened? Frankie's weeping. So yeah, like they could, I mean,

[00:53:07] they were cleaning up the every sound stage, like, like one comp here,

[00:53:12] one comp here, one comp here. No bulldoze it and switch your back up.

[00:53:16] Use everything for this show. They were busy cleaning up the nog station

[00:53:19] so that they could get it ready for the zip line.

[00:53:21] Right. Right.

[00:53:23] Yeah. Okay. So Frankie, he has won a spot in the reindeer games.

[00:53:29] So Frankie Grande will be part of the four people competing in the final reindeer games.

[00:53:35] Yeah. Definitely could have guessed that.

[00:53:38] Yeah. Not surprising.

[00:53:39] Yeah. And what a run here by Frankie, you know, I think that we scoffed a little,

[00:53:43] maybe not Taren because he had the stats, but when Cody said on the first night,

[00:53:48] you know, Frankie, one of the greatest competitors of all time. I was like, what for real?

[00:53:54] But yeah, hard to find like a weak spot in his game in terms of these competitions.

[00:54:00] I mean, honestly, it's his social game. It really is. Like, I mean, because

[00:54:04] it's not like he wasn't someone that was on people's radar.

[00:54:07] Like he's been on Taylor's radar since I would imagine as soon as she walked in.

[00:54:11] But then you see Cody and then you see X and then you see Cameron.

[00:54:16] And then you look at Frankie in comparison to them and it's like, yes, Frankie is still a male

[00:54:22] and it's probably going to be a little bit more athletic and more likely to win against women.

[00:54:26] But he's not that kind of male. And so it allows him to just like go all the way through.

[00:54:32] You get rid of all these men and then there's Frankie still able to beat you in the end.

[00:54:36] So I don't think that's a testament to him just like being able to relate

[00:54:40] to both sides of the spectrum. So I think it's a, yeah, just a testament to Frankie's game.

[00:54:45] It is interesting in terms of the stats that I collected before the season.

[00:54:52] Frankie had the best stats, the best average placement score.

[00:54:57] And Nicole, I think was third after Brittany, who was second.

[00:55:02] And then Xavier's were a little off because he threw so many comps,

[00:55:07] but he was definitely somebody that we were looking out for.

[00:55:09] And then Taylor was actually dead last.

[00:55:11] So like in terms of where the stats were, this is actually kind of the expected result

[00:55:18] minus the abnormality of Taylor, the anomaly of Taylor,

[00:55:24] who managed to sort of play the game in a way where she never had to end up

[00:55:27] going into a showdown. So I think you have kind of represented, yes,

[00:55:32] the comp people who statistically were the best and then somebody who really like

[00:55:37] socially and strategically maneuvered their way through the game.

[00:55:41] Okay. So we're going to get down to the final Santa's showdown between Xavier and Brittany.

[00:55:48] And this time, Krampus shows up and he's here to put up some negative propaganda about Santa.

[00:55:58] Anti Christmas billboards. Should we have met Krampus?

[00:56:04] That would have been nice. I want to go out and come in and scream.

[00:56:08] That guy would have been a great.

[00:56:10] The Air Buds guy. Yeah.

[00:56:14] Okay. That's what I want.

[00:56:15] All right. And zip line.

[00:56:17] We haven't seen Santa again.

[00:56:19] Why couldn't they just have the BB announcer guy dress up as Krampus?

[00:56:24] Oh, you want to play two roles?

[00:56:29] I believe that he can do it.

[00:56:32] They should have.

[00:56:32] They should have.

[00:56:33] The alter ego of Sandra.

[00:56:34] Chicken George.

[00:56:36] I don't know. I feel like they should have paid a good old grandpa Jerry from BB 10,

[00:56:40] a nice 50 K to come back and just sit up in that HOH room and just talk.

[00:56:46] Like I would have.

[00:56:53] Would he be better?

[00:56:54] Do what you're supposed to do.

[00:56:55] Oh, I'm here for it.

[00:57:01] That is such a missed opportunity.

[00:57:03] And I now, you know, I'm on you said you don't want this next year, but I'm sorry.

[00:57:10] We need it.

[00:57:11] We need it.

[00:57:12] Jerry is on the marquee.

[00:57:15] I will fly to L.A. myself just to wall the wall watch.

[00:57:18] Okay.

[00:57:19] Or he could be like one of the elf ambassadors, but like be like the cranky elf.

[00:57:23] Like, can you imagine him in the outfit like having to read the scroll?

[00:57:28] Come on.

[00:57:29] I'm here for it.

[00:57:30] I'm still here for it.

[00:57:32] So good.

[00:57:34] Okay.

[00:57:35] We got another zipline comp.

[00:57:37] All right.

[00:57:37] Take out the blocks and put together the puzzle.

[00:57:41] And as we talked about at the top of the show, not good.

[00:57:47] Doesn't go great.

[00:57:49] Yeah.

[00:57:50] I think just in general, I think it was kind of a poorly designed competition,

[00:57:54] both in terms of like allowing for again, requiring somebody who is much smaller,

[00:58:00] much lighter to be much more perfect about their technique.

[00:58:03] But then also like the puzzle needed to be harder.

[00:58:07] Like yes, Xavier screwed it up and it was difficult to find the right block.

[00:58:12] But like, I think that, I mean, once you had the right block, you were just stacking it.

[00:58:16] Just like, just make the puzzle harder and the competition is much more

[00:58:22] eloquently designed.

[00:58:23] We see this in Survivor all the time where you can really come back from a huge deficit

[00:58:28] in a way that's exciting and not just like pure randomness hoping that Xavier doesn't notice

[00:58:33] that he has a block missing.

[00:58:35] So yeah, I think that that was, that was for me like the worst part,

[00:58:40] not to mention the fact that again, you just, you see this and you go, oh well,

[00:58:43] it's not happening.

[00:58:44] Yeah.

[00:58:44] And when we can say that it was close,

[00:58:46] the reality is that Xavier had about four blocks left when Brittany hadn't knocked a single block

[00:58:51] down yet and Brittany had four blocks left by the time he finished.

[00:58:55] So like she had a long ways to go theoretically, maybe wouldn't have messed up as much as Xavier

[00:59:00] in terms of misplacing a block, but still was quite a long ways away.

[00:59:04] Okay. So Xavier makes his way to the reindeer games and Xavier has faced a lot of adversity

[00:59:11] here along the way.

[00:59:12] He's gone to Santa's showdown almost, I think every single time except for last episode.

[00:59:19] Four out of the five times.

[00:59:21] He's the opposite of Taylor.

[00:59:22] Four out of the five times and he's managed to persevere and here he is

[00:59:28] and a pretty decent shot to win the reindeer games.

[00:59:33] Yeah, I think so.

[00:59:34] You know, a lot of the mental comp seem to be logic focused and he's pretty good

[00:59:38] at that kind of stuff.

[00:59:39] And then, you know, we already know that he's going to be pretty good at whatever physical

[00:59:42] is coming his way.

[00:59:43] So yeah, unless there is some type of like switch up with how the reindeer games

[00:59:48] are going to proceed, maybe there's like a pair or thing and one pair eliminates the other.

[00:59:51] Like so we'll see how the teams and the game mechanic is.

[00:59:56] But if it's anything similar to what we have been seeing with like a little bit

[00:59:59] more individually based, then yeah, I think X stands a pretty good shot at taking it.

[01:00:03] Well, let's talk a little bit about how we think the reindeer games might go on

[01:00:09] Thursday. Amon pitched.

[01:00:12] Could we see potentially two people like basically competing in pairs and then

[01:00:19] the pair that loses has to then go into elimination against each other or Santa showdown?

[01:00:25] I think like my guess would be something like, I mean, there's a bunch of different ways

[01:00:32] this happened.

[01:00:33] But like, I think one way you could do it is one last like nod to your nice.

[01:00:39] The winner of that gets to choose their opponent in the tournament that is the reindeer games.

[01:00:46] So say Frankie wins, nod to your nice.

[01:00:49] He picks like Taylor to be his opponent, which means it's Frankie versus Taylor.

[01:00:55] Nicole versus Xavier, the winner of both matchups go to the final match.

[01:00:59] Then that person is the winner of reindeer games.

[01:01:02] That makes sense to me.

[01:01:03] There's also like the idea of maybe it's all four of them competing three times.

[01:01:09] And it's like the loser of each of the first round is out, the loser of the second round

[01:01:14] is out and then is the final team against each other.

[01:01:16] It could be like cumulative scores over like the like almost like the Olympics where you

[01:01:20] get like points.

[01:01:21] That would be fun but probably too complicated for them.

[01:01:25] Really? Points? It's too complicated.

[01:01:28] I mean, I agree.

[01:01:29] It is big brother but I'm just like, come on.

[01:01:33] Why not?

[01:01:34] I think that would be my personal favorite way of doing it.

[01:01:37] I think.

[01:01:38] Yeah.

[01:01:38] I don't think they will.

[01:01:39] They could do like minutes to when it comps where you can just,

[01:01:42] you know, each minute to when it comp gives you a point.

[01:01:45] Okay.

[01:01:45] And then you don't have to create these elaborate setups, you know.

[01:01:48] That would be great.

[01:01:49] Imagine if you were like came in second for like a bunch of things and,

[01:01:55] you know, the person who's edging you out just completely blows it in the last one.

[01:02:01] You can say you're talking about Shannon.

[01:02:04] I would like this gives hope to people like me who's just like,

[01:02:08] so I would like to have some hope and I was not talking about Shannon or any sort of drafts.

[01:02:14] I want none of that smoke but I just think that would be like a cool way to be like,

[01:02:19] okay, I'm like, I'm just there.

[01:02:21] Like I just got to keep like being up near the top at all of these things.

[01:02:26] I don't know.

[01:02:26] I just, I really hope and I don't have a lot of hope, but I hope that they've been building up

[01:02:34] like you've got to make it to the reindeer games.

[01:02:36] Like only four people will get to proceed to the reindeer games.

[01:02:39] I just hope that the reindeer games are somehow different, more exciting or

[01:02:46] like then everything that we've been doing thus far, then otherwise it's just

[01:02:51] another couple of comps and more people get eliminated.

[01:02:53] You know what I mean?

[01:02:54] Yeah, it's an hour.

[01:02:55] Yeah.

[01:02:55] I don't.

[01:02:56] Hopefully the 1v1 comps have been the worst by a large margin.

[01:03:00] So like if the finale is full of just 1v1 comps,

[01:03:04] that's why I feel like having the four people there is in my opinion the best way to do it

[01:03:09] because it incorporates that last bit of social strategy where it's like,

[01:03:14] okay, there's four of you now.

[01:03:17] Do three of you gang up on one person?

[01:03:20] If so, who does Xavier and do Xavier and Frankie try to like convince Taylor and Nicole

[01:03:26] to side with them against the other?

[01:03:29] And then will they be able to like 1v2 them in the next round?

[01:03:32] Like there's a lot more intrigue there.

[01:03:35] So I would like it to be that, but who knows.

[01:03:38] Yeah, because I just like I'm thinking again, I already mentioned buddy games earlier

[01:03:42] like Rob, you remember?

[01:03:44] No.

[01:03:44] We just got to the end.

[01:03:45] Well, no, yeah, you probably you can part-mentalize that and said,

[01:03:49] but it was just like the end, like the final buddy games thing.

[01:03:52] It was just like, all right, we've seen this.

[01:03:56] There's like just another comp.

[01:03:58] Like it wasn't grand at all.

[01:04:01] Like I don't know.

[01:04:02] I want the whole episode to just be a montage of everybody redoing every single comp

[01:04:07] they have already done throughout the entire duration of Rain Peer Games

[01:04:11] and whoever completes all of those comps at the end, they win.

[01:04:15] That's right.

[01:04:16] Will we get something like the final, the final three getting to the final two comp

[01:04:23] in Normal Big Brother where there we're going to see like little clips of the eliminated

[01:04:30] house guests being like my favorite part of BB Rain Deer Games was when I got bucked off

[01:04:37] the candy cane or like, you know what I mean?

[01:04:39] You want to recap episode for Rain Deer Games?

[01:04:42] Not a recap, but they could be using like what they do with the jury in like the final three comp.

[01:04:50] What if each eliminated player has either an individual advantage that each of them can

[01:04:58] give and you can accumulate as many advantages as possible from the or they vote for one

[01:05:03] advantage to be given to one of the players.

[01:05:06] Fire tokens.

[01:05:07] You bring back the jury.

[01:05:08] Well, what if they vote for the winner?

[01:05:11] Whoa, that would be wild.

[01:05:13] Oh my God.

[01:05:15] That is not this show.

[01:05:19] Okay. So that's a little bit of what's coming up a Thursday night.

[01:05:24] Do we sense that somebody has the winners edit here in Rain Deer Games?

[01:05:31] We've never had to talk about this before.

[01:05:33] Yeah.

[01:05:34] To me, it feels like Frank has the best at it.

[01:05:39] I've felt Frankie for a long time.

[01:05:42] I am starting to also be open to a Nicole possibility.

[01:05:50] I would say my power, like in terms of the edit, I would say my power ranking is Xavier's fourth.

[01:05:55] And then Taylor is probably like a close third to Nicole, but I just feel like

[01:06:00] the fact that Nicole is here now and I don't know.

[01:06:04] I got to see what banged up those knees.

[01:06:07] I haven't seen it yet.

[01:06:08] She's going to get banged up here.

[01:06:10] I think she's going hard in the Rain Deer Games.

[01:06:12] No, no, it's happened.

[01:06:13] It hasn't happened yet.

[01:06:14] For me, I feel like that Taylor has the best edit from the show.

[01:06:19] I feel like that they love Frankie, but I feel like Taylor has gotten so much too.

[01:06:25] I think she's gotten a lot.

[01:06:27] And it's so tough because this is big brother and not survivor.

[01:06:30] And also I can't be a survivor.

[01:06:32] And we don't even know what a survivor winner edit looks like anymore.

[01:06:38] So yeah, yeah, anything's on the table.

[01:06:42] I do feel like I feel like if Taylor was the winner, they could have been

[01:06:49] a little more like generous and celebratory about Taylor than they have been where they've

[01:06:56] left a lot of things vague for like the audience to be like, wait, why did she do that?

[01:07:02] Whereas some kinder edits have been, I think, given to both Frankie and Nicole,

[01:07:09] which is not to say that they needed the kinder edits, but like they feel like

[01:07:14] just in general, like they've been less marred by the edit to me.

[01:07:19] Yeah.

[01:07:20] Now that I'm thinking about it, I feel similarly, I feel like when it comes to Frankie in

[01:07:24] particular, I feel like a lot of his confessionals have been more so about it.

[01:07:29] They sound like a narration of how I ended up winning.

[01:07:33] He might have had that in his contract, Amon.

[01:07:36] He could have.

[01:07:38] Whereas if Taylor's confessionals are more so, I need to get the winner out.

[01:07:42] You know what I mean?

[01:07:42] Like I need to get like a lot of her confessionals are about getting Frankie out.

[01:07:45] I need to get Frankie.

[01:07:46] He's next.

[01:07:46] He's next.

[01:07:47] He's next.

[01:07:48] So yeah, I could see that.

[01:07:51] I mean, I feel like out of my personal bias, I feel like I am most amenable to a Frankie win

[01:08:04] only because it's been a new winner.

[01:08:06] You know what I mean?

[01:08:07] Someone who hasn't won.

[01:08:08] The only person who hasn't won is in the reindeer games.

[01:08:10] Nobody's won reindeer games before.

[01:08:12] Because it's the first one.

[01:08:13] Yeah.

[01:08:13] But he's the only non-winner in this group.

[01:08:16] Yeah.

[01:08:16] Is this canon?

[01:08:19] Are we counting?

[01:08:21] Are we calling any of the other three a two-time Big Brother winner?

[01:08:24] I am so fine if none of the winners win this.

[01:08:28] I am so fine if somebody like Frankie Grande, these shine bright like a Frankie Grande.

[01:08:33] How many winners can we have for being 16?

[01:08:36] No, Amon.

[01:08:38] Well, you know what?

[01:08:39] Let's keep it going.

[01:08:41] You know what?

[01:08:41] If we can't beat them, then join them.

[01:08:43] Right?

[01:08:44] If this needs to be what Frankie's crown is in the Big Brother Pantheon,

[01:08:49] I am eight okay with that.

[01:08:51] I mean, this might be another just tally another win for BB-16 regardless.

[01:08:55] Nicole or Frankie could take it.

[01:08:58] Yeah.

[01:08:59] But then if Frankie wins it, then like you're just going through the cast,

[01:09:03] like bring back Beast Mode Cowboy for...

[01:09:06] We did 20 Sun Survivor Channeling.

[01:09:08] No, reindeer games for reindeer games.

[01:09:11] No, you got to, it's Hayden.

[01:09:13] You bring back Hayden.

[01:09:14] Yeah.

[01:09:15] He was he was the other companies from that season.

[01:09:17] Right.

[01:09:18] And Zach Rantz, how many shows would he have been on if he didn't piss people off at CBS?

[01:09:23] They could bring back Amber.

[01:09:24] She's been on the challenge a bunch now too.

[01:09:26] Oh, you forgot about that.

[01:09:28] Like I'm saying like it goes deep on that cast.

[01:09:31] And where's Donny?

[01:09:33] You're to say let's not hear Donny.

[01:09:35] Donny would be a great alpha.

[01:09:37] Donny would have been Santa.

[01:09:38] Oh yeah, he would have been good.

[01:09:40] I would have been Santa.

[01:09:42] You've been good.

[01:09:43] I love Donny so much.

[01:09:44] Yeah.

[01:09:45] Okay.

[01:09:46] I don't know.

[01:09:47] All right.

[01:09:49] Anything else about the reindeer games?

[01:09:51] This was one from Twitter.

[01:09:53] We were talking about this Squid Nog.

[01:09:55] And this is somebody who is apparently that can...

[01:10:01] I don't know if I could verify this, but apparently Shelly Kane who says that she is

[01:10:06] contestant 450 on Squid Game tweeted to us that this was a Squid Ex-Mis dinner

[01:10:15] This is I guess...

[01:10:17] It was a boiled chicken.

[01:10:19] Yeah.

[01:10:19] Is that chicken?

[01:10:20] What is that?

[01:10:23] I don't think I would eat that blended.

[01:10:25] Then drink that blended.

[01:10:26] Yeah, that was sent specifically to us.

[01:10:29] So thank you, Shelly.

[01:10:31] You did just make me think of how easy it would be to impersonate a Squid Games player.

[01:10:36] Oh well, yeah.

[01:10:36] Zach Wernberger beat you to it.

[01:10:40] Okay.

[01:10:41] Oh my God.

[01:10:42] All right.

[01:10:42] Anything else about the reindeer games to mention?

[01:10:46] Um, the little scroll with the announcer at the end told us that nuts will be cracked.

[01:10:55] Oh.

[01:10:57] I'm just saying that sounds terrifying.

[01:11:00] Nice.

[01:11:02] My hope is that there are protective cups.

[01:11:08] All right.

[01:11:09] Should we leave it there for tonight?

[01:11:12] Yeah.

[01:11:12] I'm having a great time.

[01:11:14] I feel like reindeer games.

[01:11:16] I love the reindeer games.

[01:11:16] It's been great.

[01:11:16] It's been such...

[01:11:18] I've been hearing a lot of people call it a power cleanser.

[01:11:20] That's the perfect description for it.

[01:11:21] Yeah.

[01:11:21] Just nice, short, sweet and you know, I'm here for it.

[01:11:26] Okay.

[01:11:27] All right.

[01:11:27] Well, we will pick this back up Thursday night when we crown the winner of reindeer games.

[01:11:32] But a lot of survivor in between now and then on Monday, I had a marathon podcast

[01:11:39] with Mike Bloom.

[01:11:42] We talked about everything going into the survivor finale.

[01:11:46] Lots of scenarios were discussed with Mike Bloom and a wild Jeff Probst video as well.

[01:11:53] Fun feedback show with Mike Bloom.

[01:11:56] Then we will get ready for this survivor post game show when Jesse Lopez is coming by

[01:12:04] for a guys night at my house and we'll stay up late and talk about survivor with you live

[01:12:09] at 1115 after we crown the winner of survivor 45.

[01:12:12] So be on the lookout for that.

[01:12:14] Fun times on family switch on nothing but Netflix as a Chappelle and my own son Dominic

[01:12:20] joined us to talk about a Netflix, the reindeer games of Netflix, family switch with Ed Helms

[01:12:27] and Jennifer Garner.

[01:12:29] Jenny, it's all coming down to this on the house of villains on finale week.

[01:12:35] Yeah.

[01:12:35] Final five of House of Villains coming up.

[01:12:39] I think the same night as the reindeer games finale.

[01:12:41] So Chappelle and I and maybe we can gather a guest or two to recap the finale.

[01:12:51] So it's been such an incredible show.

[01:12:55] So, so good.

[01:12:56] If you haven't checked it out and you have time over the holidays or something to binge

[01:13:00] it, I highly recommend it is very, very.

[01:13:02] Now, Omarosa played in a celebrity big brother, but I don't think anybody would look

[01:13:08] at her as a big brother contestant.

[01:13:11] Who do you think in a house of villains season two should be representing big brother?

[01:13:17] Just big brother proper or big bro like celebrity big brother,

[01:13:20] big brother proper, big brother proper.

[01:13:22] It's that's the thing is like, you know, Will wouldn't do it.

[01:13:27] Who are the villains of like, like it's not, I'm not thinking of fun villains.

[01:13:32] Like I'm thinking of like again, I can't believe I'm the second time I'm going

[01:13:35] to say Daniel Durstin, like on this podcast, he should not be named.

[01:13:38] I don't think so.

[01:13:39] Like, you know what I mean?

[01:13:39] Like that's all fun.

[01:13:40] Maybe they have like a junk tank.

[01:13:43] So I'm big brother is not allowed to have villains anymore.

[01:13:46] Well, that's the thing is like it's really hard to be

[01:13:50] once upon a time, maybe evil dick, but probably not now.

[01:13:53] That's yeah, that's true.

[01:13:54] That like, I would say that would be a very, very obvious pick,

[01:13:57] but I don't know if that's happening these days.

[01:13:59] But yeah, I don't know if there are suggestions,

[01:14:03] leave them in the comments because we haven't really had like a big brother pick.

[01:14:07] But I think there's like plenty of people that maybe just more old school big brother.

[01:14:12] Okay, I get all of like the big brother nine cast, right?

[01:14:15] That's what everyone wants.

[01:14:18] Jenny, what's been going on over on the finale of F boy Island?

[01:14:23] I will tell you there is a chalk pick for House of Villains season two on F boy Island

[01:14:29] season three. Kirsten and I just recapped the finale of that.

[01:14:33] So we had a really good time watching that.

[01:14:36] So check that out.

[01:14:38] Yeah, I won't spoil it.

[01:14:39] Well, I don't know.

[01:14:39] It's a it's a it's a man named, oh my God, I'm always forgetting his name.

[01:14:44] I think spoiler alert.

[01:14:46] Okay, well then he was bad.

[01:14:48] He's a bad man.

[01:14:50] He should be on House of Villains.

[01:14:51] Okay, there you go.

[01:14:52] All right.

[01:14:53] And then of course, lots of stuff going on on the patron podcast feed,

[01:14:56] including my latest check in with Shannon Gus about the finale of Survivor UK.

[01:15:01] Shannon and I had very different opinions about the final week of Survivor UK.

[01:15:05] You'd hear that and much more in our patron podcast feed.

[01:15:08] Go to Robb's website.com slash patron and make sure you subscribe to all of our

[01:15:12] podcasts when you go to Robb's website.com slash subscribe.

[01:15:15] Okay, I'm on what's coming up for you?

[01:15:19] Just enjoying the holiday being festive and whatnot.

[01:15:23] I'm so excited.

[01:15:25] However, Drag Race will be coming back to your feeds in the new year.

[01:15:30] We did find out all of the queens that are going to be competing on season 16 of

[01:15:35] RuPaul's Drag Race.

[01:15:36] So me, Beth and Leona will be coming back to you.

[01:15:40] I think with a preview podcast in the coming weeks.

[01:15:41] So just be on the lookout for that.

[01:15:45] Happy holidays everybody.

[01:15:46] Very fun celebrating the reindeer games with you tonight.

[01:15:50] Thank you.

[01:15:52] Okay.

[01:15:52] Enjoy all the squid nugs.

[01:15:54] Oh, I will.

[01:15:56] Okay.

[01:15:57] Jenny, what's coming up for you?

[01:16:00] Listen, what I've been doing has just been mentioned.

[01:16:04] So yeah, keep an eye out on the hit or quit feed for our finale coverage for House of Villains.

[01:16:11] And other than that, I'm going to take a little holiday break as well and see what,

[01:16:15] you know, terrible television waits around the corner in the new year, Robb.

[01:16:19] Like, I don't know.

[01:16:21] We can't quit hit or quit.

[01:16:24] Yeah.

[01:16:24] Take a little holiday break.

[01:16:25] See these celebrity relative singing?

[01:16:27] Have you seen this?

[01:16:29] What?

[01:16:29] Yeah.

[01:16:30] I'll send you.

[01:16:30] Oh, we need to talk.

[01:16:31] Okay.

[01:16:32] Yeah.

[01:16:32] All right.

[01:16:33] Because I don't know if you want to do farmer wants a wife the second try.

[01:16:36] Like, I don't know if you're ready for that.

[01:16:38] No, I'm good.

[01:16:40] All right.

[01:16:41] Jenny, great job here tonight.

[01:16:43] And then Taryn.

[01:16:44] This is fun.

[01:16:44] One more night of reindeer games on Thursday.

[01:16:47] What else is coming up for you?

[01:16:49] We've got one more night of reindeer games,

[01:16:50] one more night of survivor the next two nights.

[01:16:53] Find me on Twitch.

[01:16:54] I'll be hanging out watching the episodes reacting to them live.

[01:16:59] And then, then it'll be over for at least a couple weeks before Dan

[01:17:04] Geesling graces our screens again.

[01:17:06] So yeah, just find me over on Twitch.

[01:17:08] I'm always hanging out over there.

[01:17:10] All right, Taryn.

[01:17:11] Great job.

[01:17:12] And then we'll see you all back for the finale of reindeer games coming up on

[01:17:17] Thursday night.

[01:17:18] See you then.

[01:17:18] Take care.
